bros and shows i gotta have me my pros and shows pros and shows i got to have me my bros and shows
Good afternoon, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Bros and Shows.
I'm a co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only Cabo San Guder.
What's up, dude?
Not a whole lot.
We figure this was a great time for a news episode.
I'm going on vacation.
So we're just trying to give the people what they need and you know us with the news.
Bravo tends to screw us over.
So be on the lookout tomorrow for earth-shattering news from the Bravo sphere because they hate us.
and yeah that's that's pretty much just how this goes but we figured we'd compile a few things we've got a little trailer review which it looks electric so stay tuned for that we're going to make sure that we milk this one so we're going to put that at the end we're going to make you guys listen to all of our shit until you can get to the summer house thing the fast forward button does not exist all right guys don't do it don't even think about it if you try it your computer's going to implode yeah uh so i figured
we kind of got into this yesterday
but there's a lot more going on
for this reality hot seat
I know your feelings on it
people generally liked it
which I think is very funny
a lot of the response online
is they could fine tune a couple of things
here and there I didn't see any comments
about them not going back to check in on the game
or commentating on what was happening
there tend to be I don't know
10 15 minutes behind and then they'll
take a look at a replay and look at something thinking it was real.
I, in my personal opinion, I think it's great.
I think it's a great idea.
I think that there's a lot of fine-tuning that needs to be done.
And I also think that they need to be straightforward with everybody and saying,
we're not really going to watch the game.
You're going to have no idea what's going on.
We're going to check in here and there.
But here's a bunch of segments because the way that they did it with the Bronwyn fashion
report, having Melissa Gorga come out, having the summer house crew come out.
it just seemed clunky and it seemed like I know that the main thing here is let's try to talk about as much reality TV as possible while there's a football game on but they did it under the guise of heather day is going to be commenting on the game it's like no she didn't actually once she had no idea what was going on so just you know be truthful to us because i know a lot of people personally that watched it and then turned it off and went back to the game so i don't know yeah i think that's kind of the how i'm looking at it is like
The idea itself is good.
And if you haven't listened to our Potomac Creek app,
but I was actually just looking at our Spotify thing
to see if we got any comments about that in particular,
and we haven't yet.
Yeah, probably not.
I imagine that a lot of the comments were Potomac-centric.
Now, that was just completely off the cuff.
I don't even remember how we got there.
We just randomly started talking about it at the end of the episode.
But this is a little more formal.
So we're going to have to hear what our fans
think we're going to have to hear what everybody thinks i imagine they're going to try to do this
again i just don't know when um if i don't know i think the super bowl's on fox this year or
they're not doing it during the super bowl they if it was on mbc they a thousand percent would do
a telecast through reality hot seat i don't think so super ball no i think that that that would
be stupid yeah i see i think that a lot of people would do that if you get i don't know because
think about it this way last year when the eagles were in the super bowl and this did not come to fruition
we were reached out to by some sort of agency that wanted to put together like a content creator's
house and put us in there down in louisiana and have us just filmed content all week they're pushing
towards reality by the way we could have done that you were not enthusiastic about it dick i wasn't
enthusiastic about it but we did reach back out and we heard nothing so i mean but also when we
heard which creators were going to be there. It was a bunch of like 21 year olds living in a house.
I'm not doing that. Yeah, it sounds exciting. So yeah, getting remand about that. But either way,
I do think that they're trying to gear up towards having some sort of merge in terms of people
to watch reality TV and people to watch sports, especially for the NFL. Now, I think this is probably
the last year that Taylor Swift is going to be involved. But yeah, I don't know. I don't think
it's out of the question. If the Super Bowl was on NBC, I would imagine the peacock would have some sort of
alternate airing where they would have
reality TV stars come in there.
I don't know. I mean, I just think that would be
there's even for
people that don't watch football, they're not
watching the reality TV one. You watch the Super Bowl.
That's just people put it on in the background.
Now, in a year
where there are alternative options,
you know,
like there's a dumbass other halftime show
so they can do some other stuff too, I guess.
You want to just be wacky and keep adding to the mix.
I don't know, like, but that's my point.
because much like that ridiculous, stupid alternative half-time show, nobody's going to watch that.
And nobody's going to watch the reality TV rundown.
I think that they need to, or I hope that they fine-tune it.
And if they do it for the Super Bowl, like whatever.
And I also know that's a night where other channels try to throw anything out there to see if they can get some numbers since nobody watches other stuff.
You talking about the puppy bowl?
No, that's in a league of itself.
Okay, they are the puppy bowl is before the game, isn't it?
The puppy bowl starts before the game, yeah.
Yeah, so no, no, I would never disparage the puppy bowl.
I'm saying other channels have wacky shit to try to get anybody to watch
since most people watch the Super Bowl.
But what I would love to see, one, get us involved.
This is like our wheelhouse.
This is what we've been practicing for, guys.
So get us involved.
It would be great.
But if you don't, I would like them to fine tune it a bit more.
Do a few more of them.
If they want to do it doing the Super Bowl, fine.
but just get it a little more game-centric,
you know,
map it after an actual broadcast,
and your segments can still be reality TV related,
but just it was the timing that was the big issue, right?
Because it's like mid-play,
and we're not even watching the game,
we're talking about fashion,
which is fine,
but let's do it after the play.
So if we can figure that stuff out.
Yeah,
they should have had it lined up with Bromwin comes out
at the end of the first quarter,
and then in the interim,
between quarters,
we talk about the fashion.
for the day then at half time obviously we have luan but the luan thing didn't really last the
whole half time they just did a bunch of other shit so then you could have the summer house people
come out maybe between the third and fourth quarter do something after the game i don't know
it just seems like they need to work some things in there maybe we could get in touch with them
and just give them a blueprint because it doesn't seem that hard to figure out this was the first of uh
i would imagine a series moving forward so hopefully they figure it out and i'm not going to disparage
anybody that enjoyed it because if you enjoyed it, that's great, because I did see a lot of people
saying, this is the best way to watch sports, which I firmly disagree with because you didn't
really watch the sports. Honestly, just look at Boston, Rob. He was fucking hilarious the whole
time. They would ask him questions. There were things going on that he had no idea about.
Melissa was talking about Teresa and the fact that her and Teresa are going to have Christmas Eve
dinner together and whether or not cameras were going to be there, which is big Bravo news.
Rob looked around like, I don't even know who you are. Like, what's the issue with you and
Teresa. So that's really funny, too. I think that they have something here. I think that they can
do this randomly throughout a season. I don't think that it's going to spill over into other
sports, probably just football. But we'll have to see how that goes. And like I said, about Melissa
and Teresa, that was another little piece of news, which we're getting more breadcrumbs here and there
about what's going on, obviously. The big thing was BravoCon, which we talked about a couple
weeks ago on our BravoCon breakdown. So we'll listen to that if you haven't already.
Melissa and Teresa seemed, yeah, that was nice. That just seemed good. Now it's not as good
anymore that we're talking about how good about it. Well, no, but we never do good plug. So I'm
always going to call them out when you do a good plug. Yeah, we're usually butt plug guys.
But yeah, so Melissa and Teresa seemed to be what? I mean, it's just too easy. That wasn't
clever. You're better than that. That's what we used to say when we had to plug things.
But yeah, so Melissa and Teresa are on a journey.
journey of coming back together, bringing the families back together. We obviously think that it's
they're running out of money. Yeah. I'm going to try to get this shit back on track so that they
air our show again. Please start filming. We're actually having Christmas Eve dinner together. Everybody
thinks about Roney and Rone J when we're talking about Christmas, right guys? Come on over. Bring the
cameras. That's a good call. I look, fine. You know what I mean? We've gotten to a point now.
And I wonder if this would also happen with other shows that just got really bad.
Like, if those C was off the air for years and then we heard that Vicky and Tamer were doing stuff and, you know, Heather was doing whatever with other people.
Like, would we really have interest?
I don't think so.
I think that I think New Jersey has a different type of polar effect that we would try to be drawn to after being off the show for a couple of years.
And then obviously, if it's the same shit, we're just going to lose interest right away.
Yeah, I think the cast of characters that you have on Jersey,
is individually more captivating than the cast of characters you have on OC.
OC relies firmly on the ensemble because there's no standalones.
I mean, Tamara, yeah, but even that, she only works well when she's involved with other people.
It's not like you can have her standalone all season.
So when you look at a jersey, each one of those women are lead characters.
It's just you have all of them in one show.
So I think they're, and obviously this varies.
depending on who you like and what shows you like,
but I do think objectively,
Jersey has more of an allure than OC does.
So even with this lull that we've had,
this break that we've had,
there is that weird thing,
and it popped up and we were watching Melissa's wife swap
where you're like,
I kind of want to know what everyone's up to.
I kind of want to see these people back on my screen.
Yeah. Yeah, it's very weird the way that that all works out.
Speaking of Christmas,
this is just a little plug for our own show,
we're thinking about putting out a couple
episodes here and there of some classic
Christmas episodes from Roney, from New Jersey.
We're going to have some sort of a list together.
We'll reach out to you guys to let you know
that we're going to be doing it,
and we'll probably even give you the option.
Pick your best.
Whatever episode that you want,
whatever makes you feel good
because I know a lot of people out there,
myself included,
we'll go back and just watch random episodes,
Bluestone Manor, whatever it might be,
just to get that Christmas feel.
So we're going to do a couple of special episodes because the Bravo slate, we remember from last year, the whole week of Christmas, they get nothing.
There's no new episodes of anything.
And then they spill over into New Year's week and it's a complete mess.
So what better way to make sure that you guys have the content that you want to listen to by doing something like that that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
But we want to make sure that you guys are happy around Christmas.
So be on the lookout for that before we move on to our next topic, which I'm going to give you the option.
You want to stay in the Housewives realm, or do you want to just rip the Band-Aid off and go Summer House?
Let's stay in the Housewives realm.
I'm making you all wait for Summer House.
Make them wait.
Yeah, make them wait.
Okay.
Well, in that case, we got to talk about Candy and Todd because what a whirlwind it's been.
There were rumors leading up to last week that Candy had removed her last name from her Instagram.
Was there a separation on the, on the, on the,
cliffside somewhere up there and everybody just kind of diminished it like no absolutely not candy
and todd are great lo and behold separation and it's getting messy right now because todd is talking
to a lot of people about what's going on with the pre-nup about what's going on with custody and there's
a lot of questions and you got to wonder what the fuck's really going on here i don't know man and
this is interesting because we haven't seen candy on our screens in a while obviously but i feel
like this was a business relationship that's what that's what i get from it when you see them
together i'm not even going to comment on the chemistry or lack thereof i think that there was
some chemistry but it's more so the subject matter when they're talking the even the way they
talk to one another it just always seemed very business forward brand forward you know image forward
So that's what I gather from this marriage was it's more of a business thing, right?
Kind of like when people make a thing about Sandoval and Arons wife.
Yeah, I was going to say pick a housewife.
Like you can look at a lot of those relationships, a lot of those marriages where you don't
really see a lot of those lovey, tender moments.
And I get it.
You know, if you've been married for a while, I think they were married for 11 years or something.
If you've been married for a while, you've been around each other for a long time,
You're not going to get those sweet, tender honeymoon moments.
Fine, whatever.
But there are certain marriages and relationships that you can point to that do look very transactional.
And that was one of them.
Now, obviously, like you said, candy hasn't been on Atlanta for a couple years now.
So we aren't privy to it.
It's not like we got to watch the downfall.
We don't have to look for all the hints and clues along the way, this and that and whatever.
But naturally, whenever something happens like this, especially to a fan favorite, there's going to be rumors.
And the rumor is that Todd had a baby.
be on her and he's got a whole other family yeah i i don't know if that one's been debunked or not yet
uh one of them like that's the thing with this for whatever reason i've seen a ton of rumors a lot of them
are getting a ton of traction and then none of them get debunk that's candy she doesn't give a
shit yeah that's probably exactly what it is to be honest you know like we've watched the rumor mill
around her before she's unfazed largely by anything going on i think that she's probably focused on
just her, Todd, and the kids at this point. But I guess the, I don't know about the baby. I haven't
heard that one. What I did hear was what led to the split. They were having issues for a
while. And that's where the business relationship comes in. I think that on paper and in the
public, they probably look great. They probably look like they're together, a united front behind
closed doors, probably a different story. The straw that broke the camel's back. Candy found
out about multiple women that Todd was communicating with behind her back.
She found that out and that led to them actually getting the separation, whether or not
one of those women had a baby, that I do not know.
I haven't heard that.
Yeah, I haven't heard that.
It seems like a lot of the talks now are pre-up centric where he's contesting it.
He's doing the old, which we just saw recently.
I can't remember which husband it was.
Oh, it's P.K.
going for custody, going for sole custody,
claiming that they're in a better parent.
Yeah.
Like, get the fuck out of it.
It's always so funny to see that.
Yeah, it makes no sense.
Now, this again,
it's all hinging on rumors.
And when it's a housewife who's not on TV,
we might not actually find out exactly what's going on
unless she decides to spill it.
From what I've seen,
she's really just done the normal,
you know,
thank you guys for thinking of me.
Thanks for reaching out,
making sure that I'm good.
That's it.
She's not spilling anything else, so this one's probably going to take a while to figure out.

There are more rumors, though.
We might as well just start the rumor mill going on because Jen Shaw gets out of prison tomorrow.
Where do you think she's going to land?
because it's not Bravo
and one big show
has already showed interest
and I think this is going to be
a surprise to you.
It's not like love after lockup
or anything like that.
Is it like the obvious ones?
Something we just watched.
Oh.
Dancing with the stars?
Dancing with the stars has already
She got on dancing with the stars.
She's not on it.
She's not confirmed,
but they've already reached out to her people.
That would be a travesty.
Well, Elizabeth Holmes was on it, wasn't she?
Before or after was it no it was a adelvie was on it an adelvie was on it an adelvie
last year i think right all right i don't know jen shaw's sounds so much worse like you literally
ruined elderly people's lives like the last years they had left you stole all their money i don't
want her to get anything like i she can go live her life and she she did her time go do whatever
I don't need to see her on TV anymore.
I don't think that she has that.
She doesn't have that star power either.
It's not like an Ann Adelvie where we all watched that movie.
And we were all so captivated.
You watched a documentary about this crazy scheme.
Like, that's fascinating because of the layers to it,
the fact that she was able to wheel and deal like that.
Jen Shaw called old people and scammed them out of money.
Like, I don't need her to have any rewards.
She can go live a normal life.
You served your time.
I don't care about you anymore.
But no, don't put her back on TV unless it's like celebrity boxing or something.
That I would watch.
Celebrity death match.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
Obviously, she's going to pop up somewhere.
That's the thing.
It doesn't seem like this is dying down.
She's going to pop up somewhere in reality TV.
It's not going to be Bravo.
Andy has doubled and tripled down on that on his radio station.
He has said that she is not going to come back because Bravo and NBC,
which is important to know, have a problem with what she actually did.
So it seems like they do have a moral compass and they do know where the line is.
And Jen Shaw has passed that line.
So she won't be back with NBC.
She won't be back with Bravo.
She'll end up somewhere.
She's going to be on TLC.
Special ops, that stuff, fine.
Yeah, that one makes sense.
Like any of those random ones that they're just trying to force feed us, like,
okay, fine, go do one of those.
But not dancing with the stars is way too legitimate to sully their name with a Jen Shaw.
And she would suck, too.
Like, she wouldn't be a, there's no way that she's like a good dancer.
No, absolutely not.
And the reason that I brought up NBC in general is because a lot of people were also saying that she could end up on traitors.
She's not going to end up on traitors.
She'll be on that like House of Villains or something that Monica Garcia was narrating.
She'll be on something on TLC.
I don't really care where she goes.
Yeah, the knockoff brand.
So we won't have to deal with her.
That's all I really want is if you're not going to let her back on any of these shows that we actually cover, don't push her on the dancing with the star.
don't push her onto something that we have to cover.
I don't want to deal with it.
Just go away.
We're done.
Exactly.
Bye.
Bye-bye now.
Did you just growl at me?
I did like a throat burp and it sounded like a growl.
Yeah, that was gross.
A thwurp.
A thwarp.
Yeah, I guess that kind of works.
But yeah, so she won't be on Traders and Traders does come back on January 8th.
I'm so excited for that.
Yeah, we got a full docket.
Yeah, we're going to have a crazy docket when it comes to Traders, Summerhouse, which we will talk
about shortly don't you worry and obviously a couple of housewife shows are still going to be
rounding into form we're going to be all of these are still going to be on yeah we're going to be in a
very good spot now one of those shows is salt lake and they just filmed their reunion now the
reunion looks came out i think salt lake's one of the better uh ensembles when it comes to what
everybody's wearing it doesn't seem like anybody's too far out of place i would say that the ladies
all looked great. There are
rumors though about the cast already
and something has picked up
a ton of steam and there are a lot of
things going on and it's Meredith
Marks. Supposedly
Meredith was asked
to be a friend of next year because
she hasn't done a lot. She doesn't even fucking live
in Salt Lake and she denied it
and she said no. So she might
not even be on the show next year according to some
sources. A lot of people are picking this one up.
You know us. We don't really like
to get involved in the rumors and the nastiness.
But this has gotten enough attention that we want to try to get ahead of it.
We'll just talk about it.
Do you think that Meredith, as a full-time housewife, will actually continue?
Or do you think that she'll be asked to be demoted?
I think that I think they'll give her a grace period.
I think if she's refusing the friend of offer, I would be very surprised if they just go ahead and whack her completely from the show.
Yeah.
I could see that being like, okay.
well show you're not going to be demoted yeah ultimatum time show show why you should still be a
full-time housewife give us something to keep you around to earn your paycheck because as of now
you say collectively four lines per show maybe like you don't deserve a six figure paycheck right
now so is she important to the show yeah is she important to that cast yeah will that cast survive
without her absolutely and i think that's the thing that merit the show
should give a little more attention to.
This show will be okay without you.
And I don't think she thinks that.
No, that's a really good point.
Now, the other side of that coin is,
will they promote a friend of to a full-time housewife?
Could you imagine Brittany getting that snowflake?
That would be electric.
After all of the things that are going on this season,
the plane situation,
which we're going to talk about in the second,
all of those things that are going against Brittany,
especially with Meredith,
that would make Brittany so happy.
she would be like 50 cent after releasing that ditty documentary she'd be excited she would win
a hater of the year because she made it i think that that's got the makings of a very good storyline
for sure but again does it really hit as much if meredith's not on the show probably not but
it's still something to think about because we've been seeing meredith jet set and be a dj and she
again doesn't live in salt lake city so i wouldn't be surprised if they asked her to be a friend of
so i'm with you in the in the court of let her go another season let her know that the the
The seat is hot.
The show is so good, even with her on there, barely putting any effort into it.
Let her see what it's like to potentially be on the hot seat.
I think that's fine.
Let her go another season and we'll see what we have.
Yeah, I mean, they did it to Mary.
They, they, Mary took a season off and look what she came back with, you know?
So the, the glory days of Meredith Marks are behind us, which is, like when she's good, she's
great.
Like, I'm not disparaging her at all.
When she brings it, she really brings it.
The problem is we haven't seen that from her.
years you know i would argue since yeah i mean monica garcia's season she did a lot uh before that
she did a whole lot because it was her versus lisa a lot it's really just been like two seasons of
mailing it in yeah so look i don't think we need to get rid of her i don't think we need to demote her
i think that you give her the option either put up or shut up or you're demoted one of the two but
But I also know Meredith would not ever, ever take a demotion.
She would rather leave the show than that.
Yeah, that's the one piece of information that definitely tracks for me.
I do think it's actually kind of a good sign, though, because it's one of their best franchises.
She had two seasons.
Now we're in the second season of her, quote unquote, mailing it in, showing very minimal effort.
And they're already talking about firing her.
They're already talking about demoting her.
That's good.
That actually rings true for me because we see it time and time again with a lot of different
franchises. And I know there's different production teams that go into it. But when it comes to
Bravo shows, they tend to just make that change way too late. They wait forever because ratings are
good, but people are already complaining and they don't care about that. Look at OC. Look at Beverly
Hills. But with something like this, when you're striking while the iron's hot, don't try to wait.
There's no sense of waiting. If there's other people that can deliver, why not have them jump up?
Why not have a Britney jump in there? We've said before that Britney is a perfect friend of, but in this
situation in this context, yeah, I think that she deserves a shot.
And then if she sucks, you just dump her back down, which I don't even think that
she would suck at this point.
No, no, I don't either.
I think that there's a lot of routes they can go.
If they want to change some things up, I just don't need them to do a lot.
You know, there doesn't need to be a lot of shuffling around or recasting or demoting.
Like you can, I think, like you said, make some people's seats hot.
Hey, pick it up next season.
That's all you really need because the show doesn't need to be fixed.
It's just we need Meredith to care.
Well, it's also a domino effect, too.
If you're going to get rid of somebody like Meredith or threaten her with a friend of
role, everybody else wakes up.
Everybody else realizes, oh, shit, nobody's safe.
So I think that really works out.
And with Salt Lake, we said this weeks ago.
We talked about it at length.
This is gaining a ton of steam.
And it seems like this is what they're going to do, which a lot of people think is a bad
idea. People think that they have the plane footage. And people from Bravo, producers, people
on the show have hinted at the aspect of having some, everybody sit down. We're going to watch
this for the first time. Here's the footage. My big problem, my biggest problem with this is,
are we going to be over it? Are we, like, we're already at the point in the season where we're done
talking about it. We don't have any new information. What are we doing here? Why not just air it now
in the show and have them all react to it rather than doing it at the reunion where we're
what we're just going to bring it back up and talk about it even more it just seems kind of stupid
because we still have at least seven eight episodes left so uh i agree with you i think that
what they're obviously trying to do is tease for the reunion now what i will say and we got
proof of this last season during the reunion they had so much extra footage it could be one of those
things where they have so much more going on in the second half of the season it's not worth
going back into it you know and i don't want them to muddy the waters with too much shit going on
so maybe that's why now what i actually believe is the reason is because
they are so in love with this pick up the cameras after the season thing they're so in love
with unseen footage and did that like trying to throw that extra little bit at the end which is
so weird
because all I've ever seen in response to those like 30 second one minute clips that they shove in there at the end of the season finale is everyone's underwhelmed everyone complains about it what is this what are we watching this is produced this is dumb blah blah blah blah so I don't know why they've fallen in love with this this new model of ever since what was it Kyle and Moe or was it Scandival Scandival Scandevall.
Well Scandival started it but obviously that was very important.
right right but now they're they're finding reasons to do it it's not stuff that we desperately need
to see like for example the kyle one oh we got to get back at the cameras to watch your kids
cry like what do we what the fuck is that one didn't make any sense no so i think that they've
gotten a little too in love with this idea but if they actually have footage and if the footage
is and i made this prediction two weeks ago i said bet me that they're going to pull up the
floored into the reunion, but if they do, if it's actually what people are saying it was,
then I don't think it matters when you watch it.
You're going to be like, oh, shit, she's really going off.
If it's underwhelming, then it begs the question, why on earth did you wait to show us this?
This could have cleared the air eight weeks ago.
If they have in the last episode at the end of the finale, they have a camera pickup moment
where you've got Whitney, Heather, let's say, Brittany, all sitting down to watch the footage,
the OC moment.
I'm going to lose my fucking mind because that's not going to play out well at all.
I will say the reason behind waiting until the reunion to show everybody kind of makes sense
because what we have in the show right now is everybody talking about what their experience was,
everybody talking about how they saw Meredith on the plane, what they saw her do.
And it's just she said, she said, she said nonsense.
but it does make sense that they would all be talking about it.
You would have had to have had a producer step in and say,
hey, guys, by the way, we do have the footage,
like watch it right then and now, which they never do.
They never have producers get involved unless they absolutely have to.
So it does make sense that they would have it,
take a look at it, see if it's worthy of showing,
see how we get through all of this,
how are they going to handle it?
Is Heather actually going to be able to have a smoking gun
and talk about what she said specifically?
Will Mary step in?
Let's just see how this plays out.
and then we'll wait until the reunion.
So that does make a lot of sense to me.
I'm with you.
As long as it's not completely underwhelming, it'll be somewhat of a hit.
I'm more worried, and we talked about this a couple of weeks ago when you had the prediction,
I'm more worried that it's going to start up again.
And the reason why they're showing at the reunion is because we're going to go to Greece
and we're going to start talking about it again.
Then we're going to come back to Salt Lake and we're going to talk about it again.
I don't want to do that storyline the whole time without actual firm evidence.
And if they had the firm evidence in their hands the whole time and they made us just watch
people talk about what their experience was, it's going to
annoy the shit out of me. Yeah.
And another reason, and this is,
we're really going down the rabbit hole now, but
if you want to look at why
is Meredith asking, or asked
to be demoted, you
could go even further and say, maybe
the footage is that bad that after we watch
it at the reunion, we're all going to be like, whoa,
she needs to be reprimanded, and maybe that's
why. That's possibility.
Yeah, but I don't know.
There's more ways that
it goes well than poorly with that setup like i'm not like apprehensive about it right i just don't know
when i think that releasing it now would have been the better move you know right put it in the show
but i do have a lot of faith in this cast and this production company they do a good job producing
salt lake we don't get a lot of the bullshit that we get on other shows where it's like why are we
talking about this again why are you shoving this in here here so
And this could be a huge mistake, but I will defer to them.
I trust them.
We should trust them.
They've given us a great product year and year out.
So let's not all jump ship yet.
I think it's going to be okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't think there's any reason to jump ship.

let's talk a little summer house because we got a doozy of a trailer that was the best thing
that could have possibly come from the reality check the reality hot seat whatever the hell
it was and oh boy it seems like we got the by southern charm let's go back to the beginning
let's have absolute chaos i am so excited
I'm so hopeful for this season.
It looks so good just from the trailer.
There's one aspect that I'll talk about while we're talking about all of this naturally
that I am not excited about,
but the rest of it looks electric.
And I'll just read these real quick because there are confirmed newbies and there
are six of them.
Wow.
New newbies.
We've got Ben Waddle, Dara Levitton.
I'm reading these names for the first time, so don't worry about me.
K.J. Dillard, Bailey,
Taylor, Levi Sebray, and Mia Calabrese.
So there's a lot there.
There's a good mix of dudes and chicks.
There's a good mix of younger crews.
It seems like they're doing the right thing,
keeping the old guard there at least for one more season.
The vibe that I got from the trailer is one last rodeo.
This is it for them.
And then we're going to just move on to the new guard with Jesse and West and probably still
not Sierra.
I can't imagine that she would tag on with this one.
But I imagine that's what they're playing.
And that's what we wanted them to do.
And that's what they have to do.
Their backs are against the wall.
But more so, I'm excited that it looks like we're going back to just chaos, which is what
Southern Charm is doing right now.
Going back to season two, season three of just absolute chaos.
I don't care how old these people are.
It makes it funnier that they're older and doing this shit.
What were your thoughts on it?
Boy, oh boy, do I have a lot of thoughts.
I have so many thoughts.
But the first one being I'm excited for this season, it does look great.
It looks like we're getting back to grassroots, which is what we love on.
these shows remember why you got famous you know remember what made you who you are today and
that's what this summer house season looks like there's so much to dive into and like you said
it feels like the last hurrah and because of that it also feels like there's been things in
the works for two years five years 10 years that we're finally getting quote unquote the answers to
you know like we're continuing the Sierra West thing which last year was put on hold entirely
because of obvious reasons so that was kind of leaving us in limbo and I feel like last season
was somewhat of a limbo they would get hot cold hot cold but they seem to develop that friendship
so we get to dive back into that which I'm excited about and this new wrinkle which we knew
was coming this is the least surprising news ever is that Jesse's throwing his hat in the ring
yeah and I'm not going to get to him yet I got a lot to say about
Jesse Solomon. But I feel like it's answers to questions that we've had for a long time.
The biggest one being Kyle and Amanda, let's get to the bottom of this fucking relationship.
Finally, one way or another, because this, it honestly feels like a skit.
It feels like a skit. It feels like we did all of this shit watching these two go back and
forth. And by these two go back and forth, I mean, Kyle do dumb shit and Amanda, forgive him.
it's at a point now where like she says my issue with you was going out and partying
and now you're jumping into a DJ career where your job is to go out and party it's like a
bad joke like that's what you think was the answer to all of this so i feel like it's the
culmination of these two which ends in divorce but if it is the last hurrah if we are transitioning
them into in the city or whatever the hell they're calling that now then we need to settle this
here on this show and i think that whatever the future of these two is whether kyle steps into
a bigger role on in the city that is not with amanda or if he stays because that's where i'm
thinking now if they do get divorced if they do split Kyle stays in summer house yeah maybe
the only way that that plays out and that's my biggest gripe about the entire trailer i'm
fucking done with Kyle and Amanda's bullshit.
I don't care anymore. If it was
still, okay, are they
separated? Are they not? We heard that they're living in
separate apartments. Okay, great. And then we got that
trailer. It's like, okay, maybe there is something here.
They're actively on social media
making fun of it. And that's what they've done
the whole time. They do it every single
turn. Every time Kyle does something
stupid and Amanda threatens divorce or
threatens to leave them, says that she wants to
move on without him, move on to the rest of her life,
nothing fucking happens. And I'm just
tired of it. I'm exhausted by it.
I just simply don't care.
I think there's so much more to dig into in that trailer.
And I guess, I don't know.
I mean, obviously the Kyle and Amanda thing is going to be a big part of it.
But I don't want to fucking sit here and just hear Kyle fell asleep in a fan's apartment until 6.30 and came home.
Divorce him.
Stop.
Yeah. I know.
I've had enough of this shit.
Now, look, I have nothing against Amanda, but the more that she talks about it and all of us are just looking at her, like, what are you doing with this guy?
and you stay with them, at some point, we're just going to flip and not really give a shit anymore.
And that's where I am right now, because not only are you showing us more of the same behavior,
talking more about how you're going to leave him, talking more about how he's just a morally,
or he's morally corrupt, he doesn't really understand anything.
He doesn't want to move forward.
We have to talk about kids.
We have to talk about moving out of the city and he's not budging on it.
Leave his ass.
I'm done with dealing with it.
I don't want to see it on my screen anymore.
And to add insult to injury, you're going on TikTok and making joking TikToks about
how you bought a house and it's just like a little ginger.
bread house for your Christmas setup in your apartment with Kyle.
Like I just simply do not care anymore about what they're doing.
Ideally, what would happen is pretty much what you just said.
This is the last hurrah.
We get to see them actually come to a point where they decide that they don't want to be
together, pick up in the city.
We start off with an estranged Kyle and Amanda.
I'm good with that.
I'm okay with that because separately, they're fine.
In a relationship, I'm tired of it.
I just don't want to deal with it anymore.
But there's still so much more going on.
And Sierra, once again, are you going to do it to us?
Are you going to fall for a stupid, tall, idiot guy again on Summerhouse?
Are you going to just start shacking up with Jesse?
I do like the idea of the love triangle with Jesse West and Sierra, but this is more of the same from Sierra.
You're doing it again.
Go out and enjoy your own life.
Stop getting entangled with these weird-ass dudes on Summerhouse.
It's just, it's not a good look.
It's annoying to watch.
and I don't want to deal with that anymore.
But Carl, holy shit, Carl, what's going on?
A lot of people online are asking if Carl's hot now.
Is Carl hot right now?
I'm going to put you on the hot seat.
Yeah, Carl's hot.
Carl's been hot.
People are just finding out finally.
You said a lot of things.
So let me wrap it up into a little bow here.
So your take on Kyle and Amanda, totally understand it.
Unfortunately, it's a major facet of this show.
I do want some answers.
But I get where you're coming from entirely of the same old song and dance.
Here's what I think this whole season's going to be, right?
And that's all we can do right now, is speculate back and forth.
You're speculating.
You're seeing a lot of the same things, a lot of similar things.
Here's my reverse speculation.
Okay.
I think they're doing that on purpose.
I think that there's more in there than we're getting with Sierra, with Kyle and Amanda.
I think it's really easy to lead us down the road by giving us a trail like this and be like,
here we fucking go again.
We're going to watch Sierra do this.
We're going to watch Kyle and Amanda fight, blah, blah, blah.
If there's actually some answers this season, if there's actually some resolve and not just
with Kyle Amanda with everything, that was my point where like, I get it that we keep rehashing
the same shit and that is frustrating.
But if this is the culmination, if this is the answers, if we are going to put things
to bed and they go that route, I'll be really excited.
excited. If they go the route of the same thing again, like you said, I'm right there
with you. I refuse to believe, refuse to believe that the Sierra Jesse thing is even
remotely serious. I don't think that's going to pan out. I don't think that's going to be an actual
thing. I will eat my words if it is. I'm sure there's some flirting. I'm sure there's some
quote unquote friendliness going on where there, because we saw it last year with like a hand on
the knee or this or that. I just can't believe that that would be a thing. I just can't believe that that would
be a thing, especially if West is entering the picture again.
I don't see Sierra stringing along a West and Jesse scenario.
That would be insane.
But I think the best thing that could come of that is Sierra just immediately cuts
eyes, like be friends with them, fine, perfect, but realize what's going on and say,
you know what, I don't want to pursue either of you romantically, perfect.
Obviously, we do have the benefit or, you know, not really a benefit of knowing what's going
on currently. West and Sierra aren't dating right now. So you can kind of throw that one out the
window. Jesse and Sierra, it doesn't seem like they're dating. Who the fuck knows? I would love it if we
finally get a full circle moment. We finally get the end of the road for Sierra looking at both
of them saying, you know what? This is more of the same. This is exactly what I've been doing and I'm not
going to do it. I've learned my lesson. I'm moving on. We can be friends. That would be the best case
scenario for me because West is out there. He was at BravoCon. West and Jesse are both single.
West is talking about how he wants to go on a date with Ariana Berman.
He wants to go on a date with this one, this one, this one, whatever.
So, like, they're not dating.
It's not really going to come to anything.
I'm going to be annoyed if they act like we're stupid and they just tease that the whole time.
Like, our West and Sierra are going to get back together?
I would love it, actually.
I would love it.
I love them together.
Figure it out.
I love them together.
West had a shit moment and then a series of shit moments on top of it.
But if he was able to ingratiate himself back with Sierra and he's able to get another shot,
I think he would crush it
and I think everybody
would probably love the two of them together.
Jesse, no.
I don't absolutely not.
Jesse is good for the Erica Jane rumors
and the Erica Jane rumors alone.
That's pretty much it.
And obviously making songs on TikTok,
which I don't want to listen to.
But I don't know.
I think this has got that feel.
You know what I mean?
And obviously we know that he's coming,
but it's got that feel of here we go.
Last hurrah.
Get it all out.
Obviously Carl and Kyle are fine.
all of this happened in like
July or August and since then
Carl's had the software opening and he's had
Kyle come to sign autographs
and do whatever the fuck Kyle does at those things
so they're fine there's no issues there
but I love to see a little animosity
we got to get a little fight going we haven't gotten
a fight in the summer house
since I think Kyle
and Luke that was the last one
and that was very verbal
that could have thought Carl had a kerfuffle
since then
I don't believe so
not
Is that my knowledge?
It could have been before.
There were a lot of things going on, and I'm not really talking about Carl and Lindsay.
But speaking of Carl and Lindsay, we know that Lindsay's going to be a part-time
or she's going to be there, like here and there, but they look like they're getting along.
And we saw that at the end of last year.
We saw that at the reunion.
That's the best case scenario for them.
We knew that that was probably going to happen, but I love that.
That's great.
It's nice to see it come to fruition.
You know, you hope for those things, but I do love their scenes together.
I love the bizarre friendship that they have since blossomed back into because, as we all know,
I mean, they were best friends forever.
So this makes a lot of sense that they're cool again.
I'm still going to say that they're going to get married and he's going to be that kid stepdad,
five, ten years from now, bet me.
But when it comes to Jesse, let's talk Jesse Solomon for a while.
There was an interesting reel or TikTok that I saw, and I wish I remember who it was.
I'm sorry that I'm not shouting at your name.
That's not very nice.
But they were talking about Jesse and West's first season.
And they made a really interesting point.
Jesse was protected by West doing all that nonsense.
We didn't really get to know Jesse that first season other than, oh, this guy seems cool.
He's pretty chill.
he's not getting into any major drama he just kind of also had the cancer scare and things that
the cancer scare afterwards and then everybody was happy for him so it was a good it was a weird initial
season but i do agree with the premise that he was protected by all the things that west was doing
yeah and then last year you start to see some things where you're like oh i don't really fuck with
that i didn't know you were like that oh you're really like that oh i what the fuck are you doing like
that's kind of where and now he left last season not on a great foot i think a lot of people
were annoyed with jesse solomon he went into the off season and instead of doing damage
control he didn't double down this man quadrupled doubt he he is more jesse solomon now than
he ever has been and that's not a compliment and i i think he's going to have a fucking
brutal year i think he's going to do something really fucking stupid
I think it's going to be Sierra-centric.
I think he's going to overstep and overplay his hand.
And he's going to rub West the wrong way.
He's going to rub Sierra the wrong way.
He's going to rub the whole house the wrong way.
And that'll be a Lindsay moment.
That's a Lindsay moment for sure.
She's going to walk in and go, what the fuck are you doing, dude, and tear into Jesse.
And then he's going to put his foot in his mouth again because he's not going to know
that we're all on Lindsay's side when she's going after him.
And he's going to say some stupid shit to her.
And then she's going to take him down.
because that's what Lindsay does.
That's why she's so great.
But I think that's my biggest, boldest prediction is we are going to see a crash
and burn season from Jesse Solomon.
I would love to see that just based on what happened last season with Lexi.
And I know a lot of people had questions about Lexi.
And we also had that very weird reunion where Lexi was just trying to talk about her
experience with Jesse and how he was just leading her on and he was love bombing her and
all of those things.
And everybody was taking Jesse's side, which was bizarre, which gives me no hope.
that this is going to play out how I would like it to.
But this new season, new girls coming into the house,
we already know how that's going to go with Jesse.
Whoa, she's hot.
I should start talking to her.
If he does the same thing,
what I would love to see is every single person in that house put their foot down.
Nope.
Not doing it.
We're not doing it again this year.
We had to do that all last summer.
We're not doing it again this summer.
It doesn't make for good TV.
And it was shit.
And everybody got called out for it too.
I mean, Sierra and Page most of all because they weren't being girls' girls.
And I'm not saying that you have to have Lexi's side,
but at least call out some shit behavior.
He was able to just coast by.
And I know that Lindsay had a lot going on, hopefully, with her, you know, since Gemma,
since all of the things that she's been doing with, I already forget, Gemma's dad's name.
Do you remember his name?
It's one of those.
Trevor?
Turner, Turner.
Turner.
Some rich name.
So hopefully she's in a better headspace and she's able to put her foot down because that's, like,
what you said, that's the best situation is if Lindsay can step in and say,
absolutely not the rest of the house will fall in line i believe so hopefully that's what happens
but again based on that reunion performance i don't see anybody calling out jesse if he does the same
shit i don't know it's going to be different like the dynamic of all the new people changes things
a lot i think that's going to throw a wrench into it in a good way where i don't think we're going to
see the same song and dance that we've seen because the last few seasons have been dominated by
people that we've known for a long time like the newbies have been few and far between
and the ones that have come have gone.
So we've been very hyper-focused on the main cast
for an extended period of time.
I think all of us at home are to be so excited to have six new people
that we're going to focus it on them a lot more,
which is going to be even more apparent
when somebody from the old guard does some stupid shit
that they've done in the past.
You're going to be like, why, why?
There's six new people here.
Why are we talking about this again?
So I think that the leash is going to be a lot shorter.
And I do think that the charm,
and just like Jesse Solomon
gets by because he's tall.
That's literally it.
The only reason that people put up with any of his shit
and what's been going on in the off season
and the interim during the season last year
is because he's tall.
That's all.
Like he's not funny.
Like he's not clever.
Like he's just,
he's very Jesse fucking Solomon.
That's who he is.
Better or worse.
So I think that it's going to run its course a little bit.
uh i do know that the cast is pretty tight with him so obviously that would be a uh spot where
it might not be pressing him as much but i don't know i just i have a feeling from watching that
trailer because that's what happens especially with dudes like that they get too comfortable
and they think that their leash is this long and they find out real quick that no no and they come
crashing down to earth so i think i think that's going to happen that's i'm pretty confident on that one
Yeah, I hope so.
Now, that comes out, like I said, February 3rd.
So we will be in the trenches in February.
Oh, yeah.
Talk about that one.
That'll have a little crossover with Southern Charm, too.
So we can just compare shitty behavior,
which is always one of our favorite things to do.
But that's it for the news, brother.
That's a lot of news.
Don't worry.
As, as Shooter said, as you're listening to this,
the biggest news all year is going to drop during this plague in your ear.
So sorry we couldn't get that.
big story. But we'll keep an ear out for the next one. If it's that big, we'll do an emergency
podcast while I'm in Mexico. And that'll be fun because I'll probably be lit. Yeah, perfect.
Sign me up. But, yeah. That's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. Oh, that's our show.
Bro's got to go. We'll get right back to the rest of our episode. But first, a few words from our friends over

people. They were loved and they mattered. Their stories deserve to be told with care,
with depth, with truth. I'm Ashley. And I'm Ricky. We are the
the husband and white duo behind crime salad.
Every week we uncover stories of the missing, the silence, the misunderstood.
We ask the questions that were left behind.
We refuse to let these stories be forgotten.
Because behind every case is a family holding on a community seeking answers
and a story that deserves to be heard.
We invite you to listen to Crime Salad.
Your healthy portion of true crime, wherever you get your podcasts.
