As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be...
Oh, man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm Karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Brov bros.
Good afternoon, bros, B-R-O-S-E, and Mr. Maguder, do you accept this bros?
Always in forever.
always in forever i am your co-host steel russell joined as always by the
incorrigible shooter magooter what's up
just looking forward to having a silly goofy time with the boys talking about a little
bachelorette nothing like it it's this show is keeping me on my toes somehow and i
don't fucking get it i agree yeah it's like the minute i start to check out there something
happens i'm like oh wait a minute yeah it just sucked me back in this fucking it's cheesy it's
corny it's bad and it's somehow so good and i don't know why more people don't watch it like i know
there's a big bachelorette fandom out there but i feel like this season's been ho-hum what
i feel like more people should be watching it it's the bachelorette which has been on for what
21 season no i know i mean this not the show i feel like this is a down year for it and i don't know
i haven't checked you're the numbies guy around here so i haven't checked oh i haven't looked at
the ratings for this now yeah but i feel
like there hasn't been a lot of chatter
about it. And I don't
know. I think it's just fucking
fun. It's a fun show.
I'm enjoying myself thoroughly. My
team got ravished this week.
So I got some redrafting to do.
Well, you don't have any.
So we can kind of start it off right now.
There's only one other
leftover left and it's Jeremy so you can have them.
So I got what? Sam M.
Jeremy. And
I think I got one more.
I updated the roster.
I lost John, I lost Thomas N.
You lost John, Thomas, and Austin all in one fell swoop.
You get Jeremy, so left you have Sam M, Grant, and Jeremy.
I don't hate that.
I don't hate my three.
They're not terrible.
I like Grant a frontrunner.
Yeah, I still have Devin, Marcus, Spencer, and Jonathan.
That's not bad.
I feel like Jonathan and...
marcus are probably my top two contenders to fight against well we have to we're definitely going
going to be getting up to the the family visits because i don't know if you watched like the scenes
to come i did i did how could i not oh yeah seriously it's fucking riveting um so it looks like
she does go to devon's house uh potentially sam m's house those were the two that they kind of put
together so devon's going to be in it for a little while i think spencer's on the chopping block i'm
surprised he even made it. I do too. I know he had the one-on-one last week that was kind of
fun. He opened up. I got up. Fuck that. Dylan got hosed, bro. Dylan got hosed. Dylan got ripped for
this one. I don't get it. I don't know how Dylan got knocked out. But yeah, Spencer, I think he's on
the chopping block. So I really do think that all the only people are going to have left are Devin and
Marcus, really. I feel like Jonathan. I think Jonathan, yeah, he's the dark horse now because he's been
the silly, goofy guy. And now he's got more depth to it. It was a big episode.
episode for Jonathan. I also just feel like if we both have a contender within the last three guys
that we picked from day one, I feel like that's a win for everybody. If we both still
have somebody in the game at the end of all this, then I feel like we did our job and we're good
at this. Yeah. Because I've been confident all season. And then I'm not going to lie.
As soon as the Rose ceremony started, I was like, oh, Thomas N's getting whacked. I just, I feel
it. He's not coming through this one. Dude, that's what I'm talking about. Like, this show kept
to be on my toes starting off obviously and we'll get into it in a second but starting off with
what happened last week with the ex-boyfriend coming back and then they just jump into the rose
ceremony it's like oh yeah we didn't do one last week we get two rose ceremonies and she pulled
a rose later and said i'm not giving it to anybody because you've all been there for me i guarantee you
if i was in that room and she did that i'd be like fuck i feel like i could could have got an exemption
here maybe got that rose and just moved off this is bullshit i had a really good date this is horse shit
Yeah, I'm going to have some things to say about that.
I don't agree with how Jen moved this episode.
I don't care for it.
And we're going to talk about it later.
But let's start this whole thing out.
And like we were already discussing the cocktail party,
there was good vibes at this one for the first time.
And we've been waiting for those good vibes,
but they're immediately dampered because of Matt.
Matt flew here from Columbia, right?
He was in Bogota.
Yeah, yeah.
He was in Columbia for two weddings that he didn't go.
to then came to Auckland on his own volition to and he had suitcases and chip back so I would
assume he's probably just going to hang out in New Zealand for a little while you know he should
he should take advantage if this was just all the game just to you know throw a little wrinkle in there
for 30 minutes I think maybe an hour I do think it was I think it was let's just throw somebody
up there just let's just have this guy fly in and just we'll just throw this out there and then
immediately pull it out.
So, yeah, look, it was kind of funny.
They were getting along too well.
The boys were getting along too well.
I need some stiff competition.
I need to shake it up.
What better way to shake it up than to throw an ex-boyfriend in there for 10 minutes?
Yeah, honestly.
I think he got a total screen time between last week and this of maybe 10 minutes.
I don't think he got to that whole point.
I don't think so.
No.
But the boys are all sitting there and Jen comes in and says, hey, guys, this man from my past,
has just shown up and I need to see what this is about so you guys get uncomfortable I know
we were vibing in here everyone was finally getting along we've been waiting for this and stop
the petty drama but Matthew's out there so I got to go chit chat with him the funniest thing
to me about this whole scenario with all these guys is she's talked at length about her toxic
exes and she has not clarified that this is not one of those so if I'm sitting in that room
I'm going like, wait, is this the emotional abuser that, like, gaslit you for a very long time who, by the way, I'm just going to drop it now.
This guy, her ex sounds insane.
He said racism isn't real.
She said that I was like, time out.
I rewound it to make sure I heard it correctly.
I was like, what do you mean?
You guys fucking nuts.
What a lunatic.
So in my brain, if I'm sitting in that room, I'm like, okay, well, her track record isn't great, according to her.
who the fuck is out there that's about to invade our space,
but they don't take it well at all.
The funny thing is the guys that do take it in stride
have been those guys all season
that we've kind of rooted for the grants in the room.
Who else took it pretty well?
Was it Jeremy, I think, was okay.
Jeremy was okay with it.
Dylan seemed to be okay with it.
Obviously, weirdly enough,
it seems like Sam M, like even though he said it was bullshit,
he was weirdly okay with it.
I think John was okay.
Sam M's response.
This poor guy is just,
he gets flown in as an ex-boyfriend.
He doesn't deserve to get ripped apart.
No.
He comes in and does them a solid by saying,
hey, guys, you know what?
I hope you guys the best.
I think Jen's just going to pick out her next husband in this room.
And I really feel great for you guys.
All right, well, thank God you're not coming in here
because you suck, buddy.
It's like, what the fuck?
He literally drops like a sentence of, yeah,
You know, it'll be honest with you, bro.
Like, we wasn't even worried about you, my boy.
See you.
And I'm like, first of all, there's the accent again.
And second of all, this man just came in and said, hey, guys, I was in love with her.
I flew around the world to shoot my shot.
It didn't work.
She said that you guys are the guys.
So, yeah.
See you later.
And Sam's like, nah, bro.
You only have a chance anyway, bro.
So I like, go kick rock.
Motherfar.
I was like, this guy's the worst.
I hope that she has to watch these scenes before she makes her decision at the end of the
season and is like, oh, I'm going to pick that guy, that's probably a mistake because he seems
like a fucking huge douche nozzle.
So, yeah, I agree with you.
The hate that Matt caught from simply shooting his shot was confusing to me.
Good thing, man.
We don't need you here.
We don't need you.
Get that hell out.
It's like, he's coming in to be nice, you dick.
He didn't even have to do this.
Like, you didn't have to come in here.
I think they were, they were ready for war when they heard that he was potentially coming in
there.
They're like, what's this guy going to do?
Is he going to come in and be up on his pedestal?
stole because he already knows Jen and he's going to be like leagues ahead of us because
he knows her way better than us because he already dated her I'm ready for a fight and then
he walks in and he's a sweet guy just wishing them the best and they're like ha ha fuck you guys guys
right devons devons like i need a fucking drink i need to get out of her like yeah i'm so stressed
and nothing happened guys you're in you're in better shape now because she just turned down her
past and that's yes this was clearly staged and yes it was clearly supposed to be the
moment where it's like I'm moving on from my past everybody this is a transformative process
I'm doing so well now we know what happened that was all fake and it's fine but the backlash
he got I don't think was fake I think that was all the posing yeah yeah let's gang up on him
let's get this nerd and he's just like by the way if this was real Matt just flew around the
world had his hopes and dreams crushed went to try to be the bigger person and apologize to
the group of men that he may have slighted and then got bitched out by them so he is oh for two
he might crawl back on a plane tonight
with his tail between his legs crying.
I just hope he has a good book to read on the way back
about loving yourself.
He's got a rod on the home.
Maybe Aaron can give him a good book to read on the way back.
You need to love yourself.
Oh, yeah.
Learn some self-love, brother.
Yeah, self-love, brother,
because you just got shut the fuck down.
But the interesting thing to me was the reactions from,
you know, Devin saying, if he's in, I'm out.
I was like, oh, wow, you're going to bounce that easily.
and Austin Austin is repeating that this is whack this is just straight up this is whack I'm not for
this and it kind of sets the stage for the rest of the episode but we get to the rose ceremony and we
whack Thomas N and John which I was actually surprised about John I had John going further than this
and I like John but the remaining guys make sense this is a solid list we got grant
Jonathan Spencer Dylan Austin Sam Devon Jeremy
and Marcus, all of whom are contenders.
There's obviously some pure breads in there,
and there's some, you know, question marks.
Like a Spencer's a question mark.
I'm actually curious how we got this far.
So am I. Again, it's just the one-on-one.
She refuses to not give somebody who goes on a one-on-one a rose.
Now, I don't know how she picks those things.
I don't know if she's picking them or the producers are,
but whatever it might be.
I'm surprised that John didn't get through.
But at this stage in the game,
I think it's pretty easy to figure out who's going home.
It's the guys that are repeatedly not getting one-on-one-time,
not the guys, I'm not even talking about Thomas N,
who got his one-on-one-time interrupted,
but I was very satisfied with the episode starting off
with him talking about how he feels great
about his relationship with Jen,
finally got some time to connect with her.
I feel like we're on the same level with a lot of this stuff,
we've been through a lot of the same things.
I was finally able to connect to her.
See ya.
Later, dude.
Yeah, so she got to know,
and she was like, oh, this guy stinks.
And you know who also didn't fucking bat an eye at you going home?
Your boy, Sam, who you're just hoping to be someday.
Sam doesn't give a shit if you go home.
He doesn't care at all.
No, Thomas N is more upset that he has to break up with Sam than the fact that Jen just broke up with him.
He's like, oh, hey, Sam, you're going to text me when I get back, right?
Sam's like, yeah, dude.
You want to go to Red Lobster?
Yeah.
Got to get a card to Red Lobster.
Shooter?
It's literally him.
He's the crazy guy from Happy Gilmore that Sam led on said he would do his bidding.
I hope that Thomas N can learn from this experience.
I hope that he watches this back and says,
oh,
maybe I shouldn't jerk off the other guy the whole time and focus on the woman in this situation
to try to get to the next round,
play the game the right way,
and quote unquote,
fall in love instead of trying to make Sam M fall in love with me.
And we did share a nice kiss.
And we know those guys kissed at some point,
and it's fine.
but yeah totally but maybe this will be a learning experience that he needs to put himself first
and not the needs of dushy guys like sam m probably not probably not but you know here's to
hoping but the dudes are all hanging out the next day and we get a date card a one-on-one date card
and that's for jonathan and i feel like this phrase or something similar to it has been used
in a group or a one-on-one date card time for our love to take flight jonathan
And Jonathan points it out.
I didn't even think about it.
And I should have thought about it.
Why are all of these events height challenges?
She's afraid of heights.
I don't get it.
I don't understand it.
We just watched her walk on top of the building with Sam M. last week.
And she was afraid of heights.
Every single time that we're doing this, it's jumping out of a plane, walking on top of a tall building, riding a helicopter.
Like, what's next?
Are we going cliff diving?
Like, I just hoping.
It's got to be bungee jumping.
or something, because that's the only thing that we're seeing.
That was my first question, too.
It's like, pretty sure you're afraid of heights.
And she goes into the whole thing about how Jonathan's a little afraid of heights as well.
So I could be there to comfort him.
Which is sweet.
You just freaked out last week.
Yeah, it's sweet.
But you just freaked out last week.
Yeah, it's very confusing.
It's confusing.
Some would argue fabricated.
I don't know.
But it does seem to be a thing where you're using the height to your advantage, whether you're
the supporter or the supporter.
And hey, you know what?
Maybe that is a good test.
It's just a simple litmus test of will you lean on me and can I lean on you?
So maybe she's actually playing it right.
But it's just, but they take this chopper.
This is chopper date number two for Jen.
First one-on-one date for our boy, Jonathan.
We've liked Jonathan from day one.
We've appreciated his intro when he had the full face mask on or whatever, the gauze coming in.
I liked him from day one.
So they take this chopper.
She, like we said, maybe this is her test.
And he leans on her.
It's a cute thing, I guess.
And they go to Waiahiki, I believe was the name.
I probably butcher that, but it's a vineyard.
Yeah, it's sad.
It's close enough.
And they get this, like, beautiful vineyard scene.
It's very rom-comy.
They're giggling.
They're just, look, these two are just a bunch of silly geese.
You know, they're just having a silly goose time.
They're jumping around the vineyard playing.
I don't know if they know the rules to hide and seek.
No, no. I don't think they do. But it is weird and this is something that stood out to me.
This one actually felt normal. But if you're the bachelor or bachelor at, yeah, how many different personalities do you need to take on? Like nobody is this deep. Nobody has the ability to have a silly goofy time and do things with one person, then have a super deep conversation the very next day. Like, it's got to be exhausting. How the hell do you get through all of this?
But that's where I want to have a podcast, like a separate podcast about like the psychology of reality shows, especially ones that are set up like this, where it's a bunch of individuals vying for one person's attention and affection, whether it be the bachelor or the bachelorette, I do think that there's something that happens when you're in one of these houses or like a love island or Big Brother, anything where you're stuck with these people. I do think that the mentality and the psychology of every person in there ships while you're
There. And then probably when you leave, you're like, Jesus Christ, that was intense. I'm like, whoa, I almost got engaged after
a fucking a month. That's nuts. But when you're in it, I do think that they are actually feeling all of these feelings. So I think that
the depth that you're seeing in the moment is genuine. Do I think that that person is that deep all the time? Like all of
these dudes and Jen, are they this deep all the time? No, probably not. But I do think in the moment, they're doing,
They're feeling something that's genuine-esque.
I think you're right.
And again, my mind started to go a little bit when I was watching this just because it seemed organic.
A little high and seek.
They looked, and we know Jonathan's goofy.
He started off the show, goofy as hell.
And he continued to be pretty goofy.
But he's been showing a lot of different aspects of his emotional life.
He's been showing different things that he's into.
I feel like he's probably the most well-rounded so far.
seems to be.
Where he can cut loose,
have a little bit of fun.
They have some sort of physical attraction
that she even pointed out.
She pointed it out with Grant a little bit later too.
But there's a lot there.
There's a whole package there.
And that's eventually what we're going to get to.
And I just want to get to a point
where we're really blown away by somebody going home.
Like I still hadn't been surprised
by anybody going home yet.
No,
I haven't either.
And I don't know if we will with the remaining guys.
If it goes how I think it's going to go,
I don't think we're in for like a massive holy shit moment.
Yeah.
But I agree about the Jonathan part, the genuineness of him.
He does seem to be more well-rounded.
He's not, like the goofy that comes out from him is different than what we see from
the other guys that seems calculated, like, oh, I need to show him fun.
With Jonathan, it seems legit, but it does beg the question that he asks, and Jen
asks where it's like, is there more here?
Can we get deep?
And you know how you get deep with somebody?
How?
You don't talk.
You make out in a hot tub.
Yeah.
And you just make out.
that's got to be a mainstay for all bachelor shows going from the helicopter
into some weird isolated body of water wooden hot tub just in the middle of a farm or something
like that that makes the most sense to me it's a great setting let's get in here
whoa where'd this hot tub come from i don't know where'd my bathing suit come from the same
oops i knew this is going to happen like i just love when they act surprised like oh wow look
that's a beautiful hot tub you want to get in well i'm not preparing for my bathing suit
I always wear this thing.
Except clap.
Like they snap real quick.
They're just like bewitched into swimsuit.
It's like,
where's your fucking robe come from?
I thought you were wearing something completely different.
No, I was not.
I've been wearing a robe the whole time.
You've just been lost in my eyes.
I'll get a lot of them.
Let's have a deep conversation with our tongues.
Oh, this is it.
The day you finally ask for that big promotion.
You're in front of your mirror with your Starbucks coffee.
Be confident.
Assertive.
Remember eye contact.
but also remember to blink.
Smile, but not too much. That's weird.
What if you aren't any good at your job?
What if they dim out you instead?
Okay, don't be silly.
You're smart, you're driven,
you're going to be late if you keep talking to the mirror.
This promotion is yours.
Go get them.
Starbucks. It's never just coffee.
Summer's here, and you can now get almost anything you need

What do we mean by almost?
Well, you can't get a well-groom lawn delivered,

But a banana, that's a yes.
A nice tan.
Sorry, nope.

And that's what they do.
And then they go to dinner.
And this is, you know, I've started writing down at each date night.
I just write down incoming trauma dump because that's what these dinners are.
And they're very repetitive as to, you know, the setup, the trauma tends to be a little bit different.
Sure.
Jen's response is always the same.
And all these guys seem to all have issues with their fathers or their parents in some capacity, which, you know, a lot of people do.
So it's a relatable trauma dump.
But he goes into his spiel and talking about his two-year relationship.
This one was a little bit different.
This was more the Spencer approach, if you were.
will. But I immediately was drawn to this one and also to grants. Like obviously because of the
sobriety aspect, I'm going to pay a little bit more attention. And he was talking about a
relationship he was in. His ex was an alcoholic at the time. And it got really tough. And when
he tried to intervene, she blamed him for being manipulative and gaslighting, X, Y, Z, whatever.
That's when she starts talking about her ex. He goes, oh, I know exactly what you mean. I was in a
similar relationship this guy gaslit me we find out later from grants one-on-one that he
legit would say things such as racism's not real it doesn't exist which is just that's grounds
for a breakup immediately but regardless it should be grounds for prison honestly it should be
that guy shouldn't be allowed to yeah he shouldn't be allowed to interact with the general public like
that guy's a menace get him the fuck out of here but while they're having their date we get the
group date card. And this is important because there's someone left out or somebody that was not
left out that took it personally. And we got Devin, Sam, Marcus, Spencer, Jeremy, Dylan,
and Austin. And the minute that Austin's name is, is named. My man's upset because he knows that
Grant gets the second one on one date. Austin's had no time. The fact that he's still here is a
miracle because he hasn't had time. He spends so much time complaining. Like he's not complaining as
much as, say, Sam M is or Thomas N was, but Austin's still complaining about things happening
where guys are walking away from the group and talking, like, you're not taking your shot.
We haven't seen Austin.
He's not taking any initiative.
He's just going with the flow.
He's just every group date that he's been on, he just does what he's supposed to do.
Like, you don't see him do the Jeremy where he just stops and says, yeah, I know I could win,
but I'm going to take some time here and hang out with you in this car while we're alone.
And we're going to make out a little bit.
that seems like the way to Jen's heart stop her make out with her and you're going to be getting
a rose a little bit later so he just hasn't been playing the game right he's been following the code
he's been following the structure so he really only has himself to blame he can't blame anybody else
all right that's fair that's fair i don't agree fully but i do i agree with that sentiment
not much i don't claim to either but we get back to jonathan and jen and he talks about his mom
you know she was a single mom it was i saw her in turmoil it was difficult and i had to be
stronger for her. This is a very, not a good, I don't want to call it a move because that's
insensitive, but it is something that Jen can relate to because of her issues with her dad and
seeing her mom all torn up about her father, her father literally being like, I don't want to be
a dad anymore by, which is horrible. But they are definitely connecting now. And this was the
question mark we have with Jonathan. I had it as well. I'm like, these guys are silly. They're fun.
I could watch them prance around a vineyard for a while playing, again,
hide and seek is not Marco Polo.
And Marco Polo is an aquatic game for those out there that aren't aware.
Don't play it.
Shout on the Olympics.
Shout out the Olympics, yeah.
Is Marco Polo an Olympic sport?
Because holy shit, I would watch that.
Oh, water polo, but yeah.
No, no, no.
Marco Polo needs to be an Olympic sport.
That would be exhilarating.
Yeah, that would be exhilarating.
Or fish out of water, fish out of water.
yeah that would be if you if you want a gold medal on a fish out of water
you would feel so accomplished it'd make a movie about that honestly they would
i'm going to start lobbying for getting marco polo into the olympics that's my new
platform you got flag football in the olympics next time so why not that's what i mean and you got
break dancing this year like there's you're telling me there's not a window for it get the
fuck out of here i've seen some wacky olympic sports okay we need to get markle in the
Olympics everybody but he gets the rose we get a fake rain scene which uh i'm here for it i love it
i love it like as soon as it started raining i'm like i'm yeah exactly yeah i don't think it's
raining everywhere though it's definitely not raining everywhere how much did this cost it's where
my brain immediately went what does it cost to fake rain for that long too that's a lot of water
there's a lot of water it was definitely a lot of water um i don't know
It was rhetorical.
It was a rhetorical question.
I loved it.
I thought it was lovely.
But we get to the group date and Austin immediately is like, look, I don't have the connection
that these other guys do.
And that's where I think that, yes, he's not playing the game correctly because he's
playing it too structured at the same time.
He has not gotten the opportunities that some of the other guys have gotten.
That is not his fault necessarily.
So he's kind of, yes, he's shooting himself in the foot.
But he also just, he's not like he says later, I don't feel like I'm on
the same level as these dudes yet and he's not and that's why it's surprising me
still there and i don't know if she's hoping to get to know him better hoping he takes the
initiative i'm not entirely sure but we're going farming we're going to go farming we got to get
these sheep under control and as soon as they came over the hill what's the first thing that you
noticed sheep no i flies did you not see the flies no there's flies everywhere as soon as they
There's a thousand flies with those bad boys.
And I've done things similar to this.
I've heard his sheep before.
And I was actually super excited for this.
Like the most valuable farmer gets extra time with Jen.
I'm like, ooh, fuck, yeah.
This is going to be really interesting to watch these idiots trying to wrangle them in.
Of course, Sam M's like, I've done, I've done all this shit before.
I know exactly what I'm doing out here.
I'm going to take care of these sheep.
This is no fucking problem.
It's a disaster.
Because all these morons don't even open the gate.
Open the gate.
They're just trying to get them in a circle first, and then they're like, wait, where are they supposed to go?
Oh, my God, where's the gate?
And the two farmers, they're fucking, well, there's been a wife just standing over there, like, are they going to open the gate?
What are they going to do?
They're just going to circle them up and just hang out?
Like, what the hell's going on here?
Nobody knew what they were doing.
I loved, I think it was Dylan that just kind of ran through the middle, just like straight through the middle.
Like, yeah, that's a good tactic.
We've got them all in a circle.
They're running through the middle and put my hands up in the air and just trying to get them in different directions.
That's what you want.
You want to herd them in different directions.
Yeah, scatter.
Scatter them, just scare them a lot.
That'll make it a lot easier.
But Devin makes time.
And this is what Jen's talking about when they're all trying to corral the sheep and then
shoveling shit.
She's like, I need somebody that's going to take the opportunity in these dates to find
the time.
When the rest of the group turns around and sees Devin talking to her, they're like,
oh, here we go again, this fucking guy.
I'm like, what do you mean?
What are you guys supposed to be doing?
out here. You're not actually supposed to be invested in shoveling shit.
Now. You're supposed to be invested in her and how to get time with her. She is not paying
attention to who the best shit shoveler is. I promise you that. She is paying attention to Devin
because he walked over to her and said, hey, how you feel it and had a conversation? So he took
the time. Everyone needs to stop getting butt hurt about gameplay. Good gameplay can no longer be
damned. I'm sick of that. That's what I was talking about with Austin. Austin gets all but hurt
because he's shoveling a ton of shit
and he thinks he's doing a great job.
But he's getting mad.
And I love what Sam M said.
Sam M turns around and goes,
well, yeah, of course he's over there.
I'm over here shoveling shit.
I turn around to see this guy over here talking to our girlfriend.
Our girlfriend.
Hated it.
Hated it.
No way.
Don't say that.
Never.
I would actually,
and he didn't say keep the main thing,
the main thing once this episode.
I know.
I appreciate that.
Really appreciated that.
This is worse.
I'd rather him say,
keep the main thing, the main thing in every sentence
that he talks instead of saying our girlfriends.
That was weird. I didn't like it. Some sister wives shit.
I didn't care for it either. I was like, no, no.
Just say my girlfriend or say Jen.
Some brother husbands.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Brother husband's a funny term. Why don't we use that?
Brother husband's better.
Because it's weird. And like this situation wouldn't arise except for something
like this or in a sister wife scenario,
brother husbands.
brother husbands that's there's a show there there's a parody reality show definitely called brother
husbands and we're copyrighting this now so don't take this idea all of you out there but we go
from shoveling shit to dingleberry clipping and i'm not actually going to fault austin because the
farmer said we're paying attention to who the mv is the most valuable farmer he put in a lot
effort but devon wins devon gets it and that's where you know austin is now
kind of losing his mind but we get to dinner and uh i love jeremy asking devon do you think
you deserved uh most valuable farmer he's like you know i'm just doing what i've always done
and like i i believe in that and whatever he's being the same duty's always been for better or worse
and jeremy's like insightful and smiles and he's like like fake face and devon's like
everyone's mad at me for playing the game and i'm sick of it personally is it kind of douchey
Sometimes, sure.
Is he winning?
Yeah, he's doing a lot better than you.
So it's all jealousy, honestly.
This is all egos that get hurt along the way because they think they're the man.
Then they get checked by another guy and they're like, oh, you think you're hot shit.
It's just because you didn't think of it first, buddy.
You can't get mad because he's playing better than you.
That's getting annoying at this point.
But you get a quick scene with Jeremy and Jen and he's like petting her and she calls that out,
which I'm glad she called it out because that was bizarre.
Then he pets her again, which was bizarre.
That's a red flag.
All right.
That's a red flag for down the road.
If he feels the need to pet you, there's something more there.
Heavy petting.
Heavy petting.
Heavy petting.
Let's not heavy pet on a couch whilst chatting.
That's not the time.
Please.
You're giving a little pat on the head.
But we get a very, you know, very tough scene for me to watch as team captain of my boys.
You know, I've ridden hard for these fellows.
Austin, I liked from day one because of the mullet.
You know, I'm just going to flat out saying.
It's the mullet for me.
I've had a mullet multiple times.
I appreciate a good mullet.
I think it takes a lot of guts and a lot of, you know, self-confidence to walk proudly with a mullet.
And he did.
But he goes and he says, look, Jen, I just don't feel like we're on the same wavelength as you and these other guys.
And I'm playing ketchup the whole time.
I don't think I can offer you what these dudes can at this point.
I'm bowing out.
I'm out of here.
And to me, what I took from this is, yeah, you haven't really given Austin the time of day.
Has he taken the time to try to get you one-on-one?
No, that's his fault.
But at the same time, you have definitely shown more affection to everybody else there than you have to Austin.
And for her to take this and say, am I not enough?
I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, spin zone times a thousand.
That's not what just happened in that room.
He was trying to tell you, you haven't given me any attention.
We haven't been able to connect because you're too busy connecting with them.
So continue your journey with them.
makes more sense. He was not saying you're not enough for me. So I didn't care for this
spin zone whatsoever. No, no, the spin zone didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. And I want
to get back to that in one second because I just remembered something that happened in the first
scene. I don't know why my brain works this way, but here we go. Spencer said when that was
walking in, it makes me feel like my ex, my last relationship where I got shot. Oh, what?
Devin said the same thing. Well, we're at it. He said this is past trauma sneaking back up.
Like, you are watching her make out with other men.
What do you mean?
This is the line for you?
Is the X coming back into the fault?
All he got was a hug.
You know these dudes are making out with her in the other room.
And then you go make out with her.
That's where the trauma should come in.
Not Matthew walking through the door all innocent.
Like, I just flew here from Columbia to try to win her back.
And she said, no, I'm out of here.
And you're fucking butt hurt about that?
He's from Ohio.
You don't have to throw in some, like, Bumble, Texas accent.
this is not a bumble tex this is oh oh ohio no i guess midwestern is a little different but
yeah whatever ohio now they're from california i feel like what's midway don't you know i can go
wisconsin on them yeah i don't think ohio is probably closer to us than anything but um but yeah
so that i just remember that one that one was really funny because he's like i know that it's
not the same thing it's like yeah it's not the same thing everything else that's going on
everything else that's going on is very close to the same thing this is very close to the same thing this
is not this is very far from that but anyway i'll digress i just wanted to call that out because
it's really fucking funny it's a great yeah really fucking funny but again i had no problem with
austin balling out and it was a it was a um i quit before you can fire me situation because he just
knows he sees the writing on the wall i'm not getting the one-on-one time this was my last chance
to get a one-on-one date i didn't get it i tried to do the group thing once again my motive to
doing all of this is trying to do all the things that you want us to do.
I'm not playing the game the right way.
I'm not built for this.
I'm out of here before you can not give me a rose.
Fine.
Jen saying, maybe I'm not enough for these guys.
No.
That's not it.
There has been, what did they start with?
30, 25 guys.
You have 25 guys all trying to go for you specifically.
You have a lot of connections with all of these guys.
These guys are breaking down in front of you and crying about their past trauma.
What do you mean you're not enough?
Where are you getting that from?
Because Austin wants to go home?
She's fishing.
Nah, she's fishing.
She's fishing for some comfort.
She's fishing for them to tell her you are enough.
And look, we all need to hear that every now and then.
I'm not faulting her for it.
If you need to hear like a little bit more support to make you feel better,
less self-conscious about the situation, it's your show at the end of the day.
You do what you.
You play it how you want to play it.
You never tell me about that.
I am very nice to you when we're not on the podcast, all right?
I fuck with you on here,
but you know I'm always your ride or died.
I'm always in your corner,
you asshole.
I'd be the first person to call if you had some shit going on.
You fucking know it.
So you wipe that smoke off your face.
Yes, you,
oh,
you've been enough for 20 years, pal.
All right.
You've settled down.
You need a little comfort today, too, buddy?
I'll come over and brush your mustache.
All right.
Oh, really?
Oh, really?
Christ.
If you really needed it, yes, I would.
That's what I would do for you.
I can get back on track now?
Sure.
What hurt.
What I was saying is I get it, but at the same time, I thought it was definitely fishing
because none of these guys have given you any indicators other than Austin that you're
not enough.
It's quite the contrary, actually.
All of these guys have been fawning over you, telling you how amazing you are, how much
they're connected with you, how they're already falling for you.
so this was clearly just a move to get a little bit of sympathy from the group and it works
and it also does seem to light a fire under her ass later on where she's like I'm dead set
now I got rid of Matt I know what I want Austin quote unquote given me the boot is what
she's pointing it as that has also given me clarity so whatever came from this it seems to be
positive but I do not appreciate this zone Austin broke up with me I don't know what to
exactly that's the vibe she's putting out there it's like nine boyfriends yeah no at that point she
has 11 11 boyfriends so it's like bruh i hear you but no that's not what happened you didn't
talk to the guy for fucking three weeks obviously the walk back in saying um i just don't feel
comfortable i feel like you guys have all comforted me after all of this i don't need to give out
a rose tonight because you're all superstars that's up bullshit bro that's that sucks
Somebody like Dylan or
John
Not John
That's like a chance for Dylan and John
To like make a case for themselves
Or I guess John already got whacked
He went with Thomas Ed.
Who got whacked at the end?
It was Dylan and
Damn it
It was just Dylan
Was it just Dylan because Austin left?
Yeah, yeah, that's right
So it's a chance for Dylan
Not that Dylan did anything
I don't think he was going to get that Rose anyway
It was probably going to go to Devon
The funny thing would have been if it went to Austin
And I would have loved if in the middle of Austin saying he's going to bow out
Or if maybe afterwards if Gem was like
I was going to give that rose to Austin
Because I feel like he really tried being a good farmer
And now he left
Like that would have been a good play
Totally
But that's also by the way
Where I'm not putting this all on Jen for like not giving him the time of day
This is a moment for Austin to be like look
In this one on one be like hey I tried today
I've been trying to get your attention
It hasn't worked
I'm here for you.
I'm trying and I feel insecure because these other dudes,
I feel like they're getting way more screen time with you.
I want that face to face.
I want to show you that I mean business.
That's why I was shoveling shit the best.
I was clipping dingleberries with my teeth.
I was trying to do whatever I could to get.
What?
I was clipping lots of dingleberries with the scissors.
And I was trying my best to get you to notice me.
I'm here, Jen.
I'm here and I'm ready for this.
That gets your group of great rose.
That at the very least,
maybe not the group date rose actually you probably would but it definitely gets you another week
because she's not going to send you home after that no chance she's going to send you home if you
have that much time with her and you say hey I'm struggling a little bit I've been playing with the
idea of going home but I really want to see this through because I do think that you're somebody
that I could see myself with you're my future wife potentially and I want to get to know you
but I feel like the way that I've been going about things is not the right way because others get
rewarded when they're not doing it and I'm trying to shovel shit out here for you
literally with my teeth and you're not noticing me that's what i mean it would have been a good play
and bought him another week and i i don't know if she was playing into it i don't know if she was
actually upset but she did seem taken aback i think that she maybe she thought he was just a sure
thing like i don't need to spend time with him because i know that i want to see where this goes and
he's fine he seems fine so we'll just see how plays out he's doing his own thing out there yeah i don't
know but austin you know from team steel he gets the he gets his own boot he gets out of there it's
it's a bummer but sianora but we need to chip away you know we can't keep them all obviously only one person
is going to walk away from this a winner and uh that takes us to grant's one-on-one date or i guess no
before that we get a sam one-on-one date or one-on-one moment and she's like you know do you look
at me different i was like you didn't do anything different than you've done on the one-on-one
dates where you break down and have a vulnerable moment this isn't anything different
new this is just a group effort to try to comfort you but this isn't anything new but i did think
that you know despite his flaws i thought sam m performed well here in this one-on-one i thought he
performed well and he does say love and that's important he does drop the l word doesn't say i love
you but he says could you still love me if i opened up like this it was soft and vulnerable
whatever would you still see me the same way and could you still love me and
playing that maybe I love you.
I don't know if she picked up on it.
I think that's a pretty good play.
That was the implication.
It's a great play.
He played this very well,
especially because he's like,
you know,
he's the heartthrob.
He's the sexy guy.
You know,
he didn't have a lot of depth.
I got to show you my depth somehow.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you, Jennie.
Jenny.
How's that the first time we've done that?
Damn it.
Now we know it now,
but now we get the grants one-on-one-on-one date.
And we get the horse riding.
This is a good one.
We've had a couple that have stood out as far as romantic.
And I thought that the one with the Maori people was obviously very, very romantic.
Very cool.
Yeah, that was a cool one.
But that was more like familial and very like learn somebody like in depth.
I feel like this is more straightforward like romance, like horse riding on the beach picnic in the rain with somebody you really, really like, whatever the fuck really like.
I don't want to say love yet.
I don't want to say love yet because I don't want to spoil the moment because we do get that later.
So I don't want to spoil that now.
Very true.
It's a very nice date.
I thought that the kiss on the beach was comical because the way that he had to lean over and the way that she had to arch her back.
It was legit a 90 degree fucking angle.
And I was like, this looks uncomfortable for everybody involved.
And it doesn't, this doesn't resonate with how romantic the date was up until that point is this awkward looking kiss where they're arched in the beach.
but it was a nice time.
They seemed to connect a little bit.
They connect way more at dinner.
And this is where we find out about his father,
Grant's father being an addict for over 30 years.
Bro, never thought it.
This is now the second time watching the fucking Bachelorette that I've gotten joked up.
What was the first?
Damn it.
It was like last week.
No, it was a moment.
The Haca?
no the hawkut makes me want to run through a fucking wall that's totally different that would be like crime because you're so there's so much adrenaline that just starts coming out of your eyeballs that's different it's like brian dog is coming out of a tunnel one yes exactly that's exactly what the hawk makes me want to do but no i don't know what the other one was but this one was more so because where he's talking about his dad telling him that this is the first time you get to know the real me and then obviously i relate that to my own life i'm a jesus christ and so i had this whole emotional rollercoaster
watching the fucking bachelorette once again god damn it i used to not have feelings and now i have
too many feelings and it's sometimes it's annoying okay sometimes i wish i was still numb yes yes it is
okay it is annoying because i get emotional at fucking anything it's irritating sometimes but let's get

Obviously, the father thing plays because she starts to talk about her own dad.
Now, my question to you, I've always thought Grant's been top three, but never stand alone.
Has he separated himself from the group?
No.
I don't think so.
I really don't think so.
I think that every week we have good one-on-one dates, obviously.
everybody's trauma dumping. We have good one-on-one dates. I would put the good one-on-one dates
in like the Spencer area where there's a lot of things going on and it's really romantic,
but it's the backdrop that's romantic. It's not the actual connection that we see. I
fucking hate myself that I am breaking this down so analytically, but here we go. And then we have
the really good, incredible one-on-one dates. And I would still say, I'd say Grant, Jonathan, and
probably Marcus are probably still up there hanging out.
Devin and Sam are as much as they hate each other.
They're on the same level.
They're just under those three, I would say.
Oh, you think they're under?
Yeah, just under, just under.
Oh, wow.
I don't.
I think the connection-wise, I think that Devin is,
Devin has opened up and played the game perfect
and it's put him in a really good position.
Sam, she just wants to bone.
That's really hard to beat.
so they're right here and then i think that there is actual connections with somebody like grant
jonathan we saw that was a really good date a really good connection they actually acted or
like authentic it looks like and i still think that the way the marcus is opening up slowly but
surely is working really well and she wants to know a lot more so i've got the three of them up here
in some sort of a little little semi sphere if you will and then we've got sam and devon down here
and then everybody else just kind of falls in below everyone else is whatever they need to play
their way up the rankings i would have it like this honestly i see marcus is the most husbandly
that's the most like real relationship i'm getting where it's like support support similar traumas
similar mentalities i would see jonathan is the most exciting like ooh where could this go
this seems to be great spencer the safest just because it's like oh yeah this guy's not going to
hurt me he's a puppy dog yeah sam is straight up just physical connection i just want to rip
this guy's clothes off.
Hopefully there's more there,
but there's probably not.
And then I would say that Grant is more so of the,
this could be something.
I don't know what it is,
but this could be something.
That's kind of where I'm seeing those five,
or five,
four or five,
whatever.
So yeah,
that's where I'm not arguing.
Yeah,
that makes sense to me.
But let's keep trucking along and we get to the cocktail party of the
rose ceremony and Grant lets it slip to the whole group.
And this is why there's a certain caliber of gentlemen on this show that a few of them fit into.
Most of them do not.
But this is the Grants, the Jonathan's, Dylan was in there, John was in there.
It's the dudes that are confident enough with themselves that they are not buying into the drama.
And they're playing it on the up and up while still playing their game, which is not easy to do, apparently.
And Grant says to the whole group, look, guys, I think I'm falling in love with Jen.
And the group's not happy to hear it, but they respect it.
They respect the fact that Grant's going to tell them all that.
But I do too, honestly.
I think that if he has been like the epitome of how to play this game with respect,
but still play it the right way, like still play to win,
but not pull at Devon where it's more so like,
fuck all of you I'm playing,
which I don't disagree with that approach either.
What approach do you prefer to fuck everybody I'm just going to win this shit
or I'm going to respect you guys, but I'm still going to win.
The fuck everybody I'm going to win this shit for sure.
that's going to be the better play yeah i just think that the way that devon's playing so far is
he's perfectly balanced between he knows he's getting in other people's heads he knows that all
his antics and the things that he's doing it's somehow that's true to himself he's very open about
it he just wants to be there to talk to jen he just wants to create a connection with jen he doesn't
care about anybody else but he also does have that mentality of i know that sam men thinks about me when
he goes to sleep i know that he's thinking about me the entire day and he's talking about me and his
confessions. And I don't care because he's taking too much time talking about me and not
worrying about Jen. I think that I personally appreciate that there are guys on the show
that are very nice to each other and respect each other. And they're in there for maybe they're
going to be friends in the future if they don't get picked. I don't care. I don't really care
about that. But I like the level of respect for some of them. And then there's other guys that are just
kind of doing their own thing, but staying out of the limelight. Just, you know, people like Spencer,
where it's like, I'm not going to, I'm not going to step on any toes over here.
but I do just want to get to know Jen.
So you got a good balance of a lot of guys on the show.
I personally, if I was on the show, yeah, I'd be going about it like Devon.
Okay, that's fair.
That's fair.
I think I would take more of a grant approach, but I think that's also fitting for our personality.
So it makes sense.
But Jen comes in and says, look, I know what I want.
After Austin broke up with me, I really had to look in the mirror.
It really sent me down this rabbit hole and I've gotten over it.
But now I know exactly what I want, boys.
And there is no cocktail part of tonight because I know exactly who's going home.
And it's another guy that I've given zero chances to.
Yeah.
Like, poor Dylan.
Like, I thought that Dylan was a great match.
They had a one.
He makes sense.
He makes sense.
He's a medical student.
He's going for his fucking, uh, he's about to take his MCCats or just did take
his MCATs.
He just took his MCATs.
He's going for his residency.
Like, this guy is exactly what you would probably want.
You would think?
I don't know.
She just never really had a connection with them.
We all knew it.
It was either going to be him or,
but it was the other one that it was coming down to.
It was him or,
um,
shit.
Jeremy?
Was Jeremy?
No,
Spencer was the last one.
It was him or Spencer.
Yeah,
exactly.
And that makes sense.
That's,
that's who I had.
Going into the rose ceremony,
it's like,
okay,
I could have thrown Jeremy in there too.
I think that he's going to go home next week.
But it's between those three easily.
Once Jeremy gets his rose in the middle of the
pack. It's like, okay, Spencer or Dylan, I could see either one of them going home.
I thought Spencer was going to go home, but I was wrong. I feel like Spencer should have gone
home. Yeah, I don't know. Look, he's a sweet fella and he's going to find somebody out there.
He's going to make somebody happy. I don't wish ill will on Spence. I just don't see it. I don't see it.
I don't think he he doesn't rack up to these other dudes. But Dylan gets the boot and I was
bummed. I like Dylan a lot. He just seems like a solid guy. And like you said, I think that they actually
had a connection there.
So I was bummed to see Dylan go.
But we do get the whole montage of what to look for this season.
And we get a denied proposal.
That's important.
I don't know who that is,
but I made note of the shirt that looked like a white linen suit of some sort
or a white linen top a little bit thicker in fabric.
So I'm going to have my eye out at the finale.
It's going to ruin it for me.
But I'm sure there'll be a twist in there because that seems too obvious.
But we do get a denied.
propose where she's like, I can't allow you to propose to me and like hand up.
So I'm curious what that is, who those last guys are going to be.
So now that we've gotten to this point, let's go through the teams again.
Yeah.
Let me pull out my handy dandy phone notebook.
So, Steel's team with the addition of Jeremy, who gets added to your team automatically.
You have Sam M, Grant, and Jeremy.
okay i have devon marcus spencer and jonathan okay all right i look i think we both have
we have a shot we both have a real shot we both have a good shot here um as far as my team goes
i think grant is probably my number one uh sam could take it i think that'd be a mistake jen but
i like grant a lot so i'm happy i'm happy with my three and spencer you never know
or Jeremy, I mean.
Jeremy is similar to Spencer for me.
They are kind of on the same level as like the who gives a shits.
It's just funny because I have so many other like names on here that are just great.
Hakeem, RIP, Sam N, man.
They never had a chance.
They never had it.
Thomas A.
Whoof.
Nightmare that guy was.
Wow.
Blast from the past though.
Really enjoyable.
But yeah, it's going to be interesting.
I liked seeing the, um, the scenes from next.
week at the scenes from the future that's really exciting you get a little home action sure it looks
like she's she's on the rocks with everybody nobody has a chance but somebody's gonna win somebody's
got to win somebody's got to take home the engagement that's just how it's going to know the name of
the game maybe literally the name of the game is the bachelor well what do you say i know we only
have a couple questions here but let's uh let's get into a couple questions here let's get into a
couple of questions all right i'll do two of them you'll do me read them you got them i'll do it i got
my phone today uh from julie dillon king do you think jen is really there to find love
she said i don't with a smirk she said i don't smirk julie i left that part out um wait does that
mean she doesn't smirk she just doesn't ever smirk she's just saying i don't smirk but is jen there
to find love that's uh look i mean i think that there is always the off chance that somebody's
going to blow you away and it's going to work. It's probably worked in the past. I'm not too
familiar with the lore of Bachelorette, Bachelor. But, uh, no, I think she's there to get a bunch
of screen time and potentially a couple endorsements and have a good time. Maybe we end up on
Bachelor in Paradise and just enjoy yourself. It's not a bad life. I don't blame her. No, I,
again, I can't help, but it's the psychology of the show in the moment, yes, when the dust settles
and you go back to the real world and you realize I've only known this person for a month or so and
don't know anything about them. I think the
dynamic shifts. I think that
I don't know a lot about this
universe. I do know
not a lot of these relationships
last very long once the show.
No, they don't. No, they do not. That's why you have
Bachelor in Paradise. That's why you have the
offshoots. That's why you have recurring cast
members, so on and so forth. So
in the moment, yes,
when it's all said and done, no.
I don't think this will pan out, but hey,
we root for love here. We're
we're hopeless romantic. So, we're love
guys yeah from legally b underscore bcf 17 do you think jen overreacted to austin leaving
yeah yeah definitely i i think it's funny because she we we just brought this up and i just
remembered when thomas a was going through his crazy crazy split personality action
um that was sam oh that was sam man who the fuck was thomas a he was like the the golden
retriever type of fella.
He didn't really bring much to take home.
He had a rock and bod.
Rock and bod.
But other than that,
didn't have all that.
He's the one that brought,
Thomas A was the one that brought the dogs.
Oh,
okay.
All right.
Well,
Sam N went through his whole
personality craze last week
where he put on a leather jacket
and felt that it was denim.
And he had venom on him.
I feel like that was a,
that was an opportunity to really freak out.
And I feel like she handled that pretty well,
where she came back down and she's like,
people aren't here for the right reasons.
According to this,
Dick wagon.
I don't know who the hell of this guy is.
Sick wagon.
Yeah.
I liked it.
But yeah, I thought that was appropriate.
This one seemed outlandish.
It's just a, this is how the game works.
She could have just responded with, you know what, Austin?
You didn't make time for me.
You were just too focused on the competition and everybody else and just kind of coasted by,
just doing what was right.
You should have made time for me, buddy.
And then sent him home packing.
That could have been easy.
You don't have to start then looking inward.
You got 15 fucking guys out there that are.
all trying to vie for your hands like i don't know yeah i agree i think that it was an overreaction i do
think it was a an intentional reaction to how she was doing that i don't think that was uh a hundred
percent genuine i think she knew what she was doing and um look at the end of the day this is her game
she should play it however she wants to play it that's how she chose to play it i don't think it was
that damning and i don't think it was that surprising either i i don't think that guy was going to get a rose
So it is what it is, but all in all, this is, it's just an easy watch.
It's a delightful show.
It's an easy watch.
It's so easy to talk about it.
It's just, this, this opens up for those of us or those of you that like listening to us talk about this.
This just opens everything up.
All we really do is just discuss like scenes.
We don't have to break anything down too crazy analytically.
We're still going to do it when we can.
But the most part, we're just having a good time, just chatting.
We're having a silly goose time watching some silly.
Yeah, but other than that, do you got anything else?
Sure, don't.
Well, Rob Rose are out of here.
Bye.
