Starting point is 00:00:00 Obviously, we had to recap Beverly Hills yesterday for those of you that listened. And obviously, that got us down in the dumps. But you know what pulled me right back out? Real Housewives Rhode Island. This show is everything that Housewives is supposed to be in the best way possible. Yeah, this cast is so well-rounded. I can't find any flaws. I'm not even looking for flaws, but sometimes you just kind of see the flaws as they pop up.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Can't see one damn thing. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a... Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Brov Bros. Good evening, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Bravo Bros. Your favorite podcast from the Bros. For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I'm your co-host. Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only shoot a Maguda. What's up, dude? This show just keeps getting better and better.
Starting point is 00:01:03 It's every week. It's just so good. The more that we find out about these women, more cheating allegations, more affairs. I don't care. It's great. They cheat. They all cheat on everybody. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I never thought I would say that. Nothing. None of the allegations, none of the affairs, none of the rumors add up to what was just a wildly uncomfortable scene with Joe Ellen's sister. Holy shit. What's going on there? What do you mean? It's on par.
Starting point is 00:01:31 for everything we've heard from everybody. Now you see if the cheating happens. Fine. On par. Perfect. Look, whatever the hell is going on in Joe Ellen and Gary's house, it's like, I don't know how to explain it, but a full-blown affair where there is video proof on Instagram is still somehow better than what the hell is going on in Joe Ellen's
Starting point is 00:01:53 house with her sister. The co-sign from Joe Ellen is probably my, is favorite the right word? I don't really know how to feel about it. But her being so cool with it, she's like, yeah, maybe he touched a boob. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:02:07 that's a weird. That's a weird thing to say. In eighth grade, I got, that was the other funny thing, like that the question that pops up is like, yeah, maybe he touched a boob in like eighth grade.
Starting point is 00:02:16 It's like, where was the teacher? Was that the same teacher that we were taught? Was that your Spanish teacher, Alicia? Like, what's going on here? I don't even think that I,
Starting point is 00:02:24 I don't know. I mean, obviously she just alluding to the fact that they dated or fooled around back in high school or whatever the fuck. But yeah, like the ongoing, she's like, oh, they have this little game they play. I'm like, whoa, okay. How dare you say ongoing?
Starting point is 00:02:40 That is not a word that means anymore. I think it's just in my head now from hearing it so many times. Ongoing is such like, it's such a funny word to get caught on. And like it makes total sense. But the fact that that's what Liz was so fixated on was the ongoing. I'm like, yeah, you know what? You kind of have a good point there.
Starting point is 00:02:58 I didn't even think about that. That's the other thing that this show brings you. It's a very good point. It's a very good point. But I don't think about these things. And just when I think that it couldn't get more ludicrous, it couldn't get more out there, they'll actually make a good point in certain situations.
Starting point is 00:03:15 I'm like, wow, I didn't think about that one. That's pretty good. You're doing my job for me. No, that's true. I will give you that. And I'm not saying that interesting points aren't made. I just don't know if like you could label them good point. It'd be interesting is a better way.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Because like the ongoing thing is the wrong part to be mad about. Like she's stuck on the wrong thing here because I don't think her interpretation of what Kelsey was doing is actually what happened. We'll get to that when we get there, but just keep that in the back of your minds. But yeah, ongoing, I don't know. Let's just jump into this episode. Yeah. So we start out with Joellen and Gah. Hey, yeah, she's yelling out of the closet.
Starting point is 00:03:55 And the accents, I don't think I'll ever get over. I know we talk about them a lot. But there's just something about this show that makes me feel at home. And maybe that's why we like it so much because it reminds us of how we grew up, maybe. But she's getting ready for a mid-year sales meeting in Chicago, which is important because that's why her sister's coming over to the house to help later on. So keep that in back your mind as well. She also has to deal with HR, her boss, all the rule la la bullshit going on there. You know, is Brian going to reach out while she's out in Chicago and say,
Starting point is 00:04:30 hey, keep an eye on her. I need to know the ongoings of what's going on with her. And maybe I can get some get back. More ongoings. There's a constant ongoing here. Well, we get a scene with Liz and Dolo, who again is being sprinkled in perfectly. She is being used perfectly in this cast. But they're talking about the rule of situation.
Starting point is 00:04:51 and Dolo's not thrilled with how Jo Ellen's getting involved in the whole thing. Liz's take is more so trying to understand where rule is coming from. Like it seems like it's over from where I'm sitting. It seems like I don't know what she's holding on to. Brian seems like a big pile of shit personally, but that's just me. The vibe I get is Brian might be a one and done like one appearance and then he's out. It just did not go well for him at that party.
Starting point is 00:05:21 I don't think that he's going to be very eager to get back unless he has a new game plan. But I mean, you had a lot of time to have a game plan for that. You had nothing. You showed up with absolutely nothing. So I don't believe we're going to see Brian again. If we do, it's just going to be here and there, but no real big scenes where he's getting involved. I'd be fine with it. Like, I'm completely cool with the rule of stuff, at least going on pause until towards the end of the season.
Starting point is 00:05:45 As we know, current events broke down sometime in like October, which would be after they stopped filming. So I do imagine we'll probably see a little bit more. Maybe it will just be from Rula. I mean, obviously in this episode, we see her talking about a little bit more. But, I mean, I don't really need to see Brian. That goes for a lot of the husbands. Once you do something that's shitty and we pretty much have the answers, you're done.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I don't care what your opinion is anymore. I don't need to see you again or you're smug little smiling face when everything's going wrong and you're just sitting there smiling with your thumb in your ass because you don't know how to respond because you're a big pile of shit. So yeah, we know who you are, Brian, stay off the screen. But we get to the Kelsey issue, the ongoings. She is trying to say, and I think she believes this, but she's like, you know,
Starting point is 00:06:32 once she takes accountability for losing her shit, which I appreciate, she's like, yeah, I went off the rails, it's my bad, I got a lot going on. But her big thing is that by saying ongoing, she thinks that Kelsey's implying that, or co-signing the rumor. all she's saying was hey there are rumors right now about you and Dino so maybe
Starting point is 00:06:55 yeah the doc with her she's not saying hey I believe all of these rumors going on right now don't go to the dock with Dino it's two very different things now we know Liz has come out and said that there there's a little editing magic going on here she didn't just say that she wanted to go down to the docks with Jerry and Dino she named like 10 other people so they they fucked her they They did fuck her because now I'm looking at this a little. Look, we've got rumors to work with, which not fair. There's a lot of fucking rumors on this show already.
Starting point is 00:07:26 I love all the rumors. I think they're very funny. But I don't have really any evidence. You can make your own mind up. You can have your own opinion, whatever you want on what she's saying about Dino and the fact that her husband's going, he's going fishing. So now we have Dino coming into the picture to take care of her. Yes, is it a little weird?
Starting point is 00:07:44 Sure. But we don't have any real evidence that there is an affair going. going on. So I'm going to hold down. I'm a hold down hope here because I love Liz. And I don't want anything weird going on there. But production may be fucked her because if she really did say, I just want to go and we know she was inebriated. I want to go down to the dock with my husband, with Dino with boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, to go see the moon. That makes a little bit more sense. And also, yeah, I get you want to kind of space yourself away. But if Dino is as close as you're saying Dino is, why wouldn't Dino be at these parties? Why wouldn't you still show up and say,
Starting point is 00:08:18 oh, Dino, what's going on? Like, if you want everybody to know that he's just your best friend, you don't want to space yourself away. If you space yourself away from Dino, people are just going to assume that the rumors are true or that you're hearing the rumors and you're acting accordingly. So I understand where she's coming from. Her, or I guess, operation failed in that sense from that party
Starting point is 00:08:36 because then throwing a hissy fit afterwards was not the right call, as she says in this episode anyway. But I do think that there's a little bit of funky work going on here where we're trying to paint a picture and we don't have the facts right now. If we get the facts later, I'll speak on it. But right now, I'm not willing to admit that Dino and her having a fair going on. I don't, I don't know. I think the more that she talks about it, the more I'm like, all right, like, sure,
Starting point is 00:09:02 she named a bunch of other people. But still, all Kelsey was trying to say was like, hey, it doesn't take away from the fact that she's alluding to the rumors, not co-signing the rumors. That's my big take. That's why it's so convoluted. Kelsey's involvement is so convoluted now. Well, that's because she has shit with Dino. and she's trying to throw it on to Liz before it gets on to her.
Starting point is 00:09:22 I get that. Correct. Yeah, I understand that part of it. So I think it's very confusing between Liz and Kelsey because it's almost like, all right, enough about like you and Dino because we don't really, we get a little bit of the history there,
Starting point is 00:09:35 but I don't know if there's more to be uncovered between Liz and Kelsey with the whole Dino situation from 10 years ago, by the way. But I wonder if there is a little bit more there. And now that the Dino rumors are popping up with Liz, she's almost like, all right, Kelsey, don't get fucking involved. Again, she blew up and she shouldn't have blown up and she said that. But I still don't really think that this is, I don't know, it's just a pretty confusing
Starting point is 00:09:56 situation. And I think Kelsey's involvement is very confusing to me. Yeah, I don't know. I think that it's, I just chalk it up to them we can move on is. You think there's some weird shit going on with Dino. Maybe it's not even so much that I'm like bought into that. It's more so, like, the more that we hear these women defend and the more that keeps coming out of everybody's camp.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Everyone's cheated. So I'm automatically assuming the worst here because everyone else is doing it in Rhode Island. So I'm trying not to have pre- We're better than that. Bro, we're journalists. Yes, we are. We are so much better than that.
Starting point is 00:10:33 We need the facts. That's what we need. I don't know. I think that they are all giving us the facts by talking too much personally. But time we'll tell you. Yeah, I will agree with that. Any time of rumor comes out and they try to get ahead of them, they are moving. way too fast because we haven't gotten there.
Starting point is 00:10:49 And you're you're kind of confirming it. That's that's kind of my point. But we get to Rosie, Ashley, Kelsey, and Alicia on Beach Day. Now, I don't know the Bachelor history of Ashley. A lot of people have said that there's a lot of lore there. I don't know it. I guess she cried a lot as part of that. But I like her.
Starting point is 00:11:09 She seems pretty normal. Like she's going to this little spot that she likes. It's her favorite beach. I don't appreciate. I do appreciate. and don't appreciate. Like, real life, I don't appreciate. Real Housewives, I do very much appreciate.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Alicia be like, like, too, we have beach clubs. Yeah. The fuck. I don't think they're allowed to fill with the beach clubs or else we'd garbage beach. Beach. Beach Club. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Yeah, I would assume. I thought it was kind of funny, honestly. Because it did not look. Look, I don't know what the beach scene is in Rhode Island. I haven't been to the beach in Rhode Island. I've seen some rocks that go up to the water. So I don't think that the beach is like as expansive. Is it like the main beaches where they're like, it's just.
Starting point is 00:11:46 just rock. Yeah, it's going to be like rock and then you're going to get a strip of beach. It's not like a huge like wildwood beach down and have like the pebble beaches. You just walk up and still rocks. Yeah. So I imagine that good beaches are few and far between and the beach clubs are probably like the private ones. You're probably not allowed to film at, at least right now, maybe season two.
Starting point is 00:12:05 We can hold out some hope. But I don't know. It didn't look like a beach that I was going to shit on. It also didn't really look like a beach that I was going to be excited to go to. No, I know. It was just it's a relatable scene for Ash. and a very funny scene because the other ladies are like, we don't do things like this ever.
Starting point is 00:12:21 I wish our beach club let us film there because this is disgusting. Yeah. And pizza chips are awesome. It's tomato pie, but smaller. It's a personal tomato pie. I love it. I do too.
Starting point is 00:12:34 That's a great. I think I'm going to try to do like a spin of that. I'll call it the Rhode Island pizza chip in honor of these ladies. Yeah, I think you absolutely should. Now, it looks like when it comes to tomato pie, You got to get the balance right. The balance is off.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Thank you. I agree. That balance was off. Yeah, that was a little too much. Yep. Yeah, I was too much bread and it wasn't like that good like airy facetcha where you're going to get that good tomato. I don't know. It just looked a little off.
Starting point is 00:13:01 I was still into it. The idea is there. The execution, I agree with the execution seems slightly off. But the idea is great. I'm going to brainstorm this one. I'll come back to you guys. Check out my Instagram account, 99 cookie gloves. Um, anyway, they're recapping the whole party thing and trying to get more info.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Like, why is Rula mad at Joellen? It's because she feels like she keeps getting involved. But Alicia let slip that Rula met Brian when he was married to Alicia's Spanish teacher. I'm assuming this is like a rich people Spanish teacher where it's like, I'm bored and have too much time in my hand. So I'm going to take Spanish kind of deal. Apparently, Brian hadn't a, what? did you take like in school? I thought that this was her Spanish teacher from school.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Oh, no, I thought it was like private Spanish teacher. I guess that would make a little more sense, but also given all the stories that they've given us. It could go either way. It could really go either way. I'm 60-40. She was in high school. They could have. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Honestly, could have been that. I don't really know. And I don't think we'll ever know until somebody. The funny thing is when we talk about Rhode Island, people from Rhode Island and our DMs, like, and they know, know everything. Like, oh, yeah, by the way, it was the Providence coach. Providence College is the coach that the affair was in. Everything that we're like questioning, we get responses from Rhode Island people and they answer us. So it's great. Yeah, it's awesome. Go for buyers. It's like our, uh, journalists on the scene, you know. That's what we need. The reporting live. We need that for
Starting point is 00:14:35 a lot of things. I know. But anyway, Brian allegedly cheated on the Spanish teacher with, the rule up. So this is how you get them is how you lose them type situation. Just seems like this guy's a serial cheater, serial piece of shit, all of that stuff. So it's just kind of confirming again that we don't need Brian on the screen. But the Kelsey and Liz stuff comes back up. Now Kelsey's giving her side of everything. And again, I don't think it was a co-sign. You haven't commented on that yet.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Do you think it was a co-sign or was she acknowledging like, hey, it might be a bad look for you because there are rumors of foot. I think the way the Kelsey's been moving, I think it was a cosign. I think it was a full-blown co-sign. Yeah. Okay. Wow. We took it very differently then. Oh, yeah. I just don't, Kelsey's doing the weird thing where she, again, we don't know a whole lot about it. Honestly, just go back to like an episode ago. We didn't really know what was going on. Were you polyamorous? Were you dating somebody else? And then she's like, hey, by the way, this is the guy I'm dating. It's like, oh, okay. We've got, yeah. Thank you. So as she's doing this. that, but then she's also trying to get the heat off of her and she's taking an opportunity
Starting point is 00:15:48 to do that. So I wouldn't be surprised if maybe it's not like a full blown co-sign. Like I also think that you're with Dino, but it could be an easy like, oh, there's a rumor floating around. Let's focus on that. So we don't talk about my situation. Okay. That makes a lot of sense to me.
Starting point is 00:16:05 But the big takeaway from this is Alicia commenting on Liz. She's talking about Liz's temper. We have to walk on eggshells around her constantly because you don't want to set her because when you set her off, she's scary, blah, blah, blah. And that's very important for later. But now we get to talk about Joe Ellen and Gary and Jen, the sister. I was typing something when this scene started. And all I heard was, I found your underwear.
Starting point is 00:16:33 How do they smell? I don't know, but they tasted great. I looked up assuming, just assuming, that was Joellen talking. It was not. That's Joellen. and sister. Now, Joe Ellen's the one that says this is some like game that they have. They perpetuate this little game of flirting.
Starting point is 00:16:52 That's tasting underwear is not playful banter. Also, you shouldn't have a play for a sister-in-law. You shouldn't. No, you should not have a flirty banter with your sister-in-law. It was bizarre because you know, based off of this weird-ass montage,
Starting point is 00:17:07 that one, there's probably way more footage of them being very weird together. And I don't care to see it. You know what? This is one of those times where I do not need you to, open the vault. I do not need to see any more of that. But the weird thing, the way this struck me because the fucking kids were standing behind Gary, I took it that she was making a joke for the children, which definitely threw me off because I didn't care for that either. Like,
Starting point is 00:17:29 oh, yeah. I didn't smell. Like, there was kids standing behind Gary while they're talking about his underwear. And he said, how do they smell, which is a very weird way to start this off again in front of your kids, because you are setting a very, very wrong precedent for them. But also, her spin into the taste, I thought, was a joke for the kids. Like, what is going on? I don't like any of this. I'm out. So I sign me out.
Starting point is 00:17:53 I don't. I didn't even think of that. I forgot the kids were there. Yeah. The kids are there. That's the whole point of her being there is to take care of the kids. So they're seeing daddy and. Oh, don't say daddy right now.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Yeah. No, I had to, though. And they're seeing the two of them flirt. while moms in Chicago, I don't like it. It makes me feel very, very weird. And you know what I really don't like is the three of them in a sauna together. And then talking about if I'm 45 and I still don't have kids, I'm using Gary's Jiz. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Right for the source. Whoa. What are we doing here? And Joel's like, you're not going to get it. You can try. You can try. I'm going to guard you. There's a goaltender.
Starting point is 00:18:40 That sounds like a threesome. That sounds like a threesome with your sister. Yeah, not into anything going on here. The weird thing is that it also doesn't take away from how much I like Joe Ellen. So I'm a weird moral conflict and I don't care for that either. They make me feel weird, but they also entertain me. So I'm okay. I'm happy.
Starting point is 00:19:02 You can mark me safe from whatever the hell this was. But if it continues, there's going to be some downfall happening here. It gave me single white female sister edition. Like she wants to slide in and just take where take Joellen's spot. That's all I saw. A suspicious car crash and it's like, oh, who's going to step in now? Her brake line was cut. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:19:28 The Rhode Island Strangler. Jesus. Yeah, I don't. I didn't I don't care for it. It made me feel icky. We talked about it. Look, we did our job. Now we can move on from it.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Yeah, let's get to. Alicia and her family. This just felt like I was at my in-laws Christmas party genuinely. Like you've been to that Christmas party, I believe, back in the day. So you know what I'm talking about. And I'm sure you have family gatherings much like this as well. I love. I love her family.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Alicia's aunts and mom are awesome. And they bring like classic Italian move. They bring all of the food that they have in their kitchen. And they bring it over just for a luncheon. shout out to them for driving that long 15 minutes to get over that. I know, which was, I don't know if you caught watch Robbins live, but Alicia was on there. Andy again asked, he's like, so what's the big deal with like the 15 minute drive? I don't really understand.
Starting point is 00:20:25 And at least she was talking about like she had to get a procedure done or something back home. And it was just the longest ride of her life. Like, I got to drive all the way over there. And she was dead serious. Like they are dead serious about this 15 minute drive. And I love it. It's such, it's not even a bit. This is how they feel about it.
Starting point is 00:20:40 And it is very funny to me. Well, let's go out of from a scientific angle. Let's do a little theory of relativity here. Okay. So, E equals MC squared. Little Einstein. Are you trying to say a 15-minute drive in Rhode Island would be like a three-hour drive in Pennsylvania? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Okay. I can see that. Yeah. That's relativity, baby. All right. All right, we're going to need our Rhode Island fans to check in on that one because I'm going to need that. Yeah. Then we'll compare it to the drive from Santa Korea.
Starting point is 00:21:10 it to LA. Yeah. Oh, man. Well, can't wait, can't wait for the Valley. That was, I'm just going to get ahead of this one.
Starting point is 00:21:18 The Valley episode that we had last week, I thought we were completely fine. People in the comments were like, you guys are so wrong. This show is so good. And I'm going to feel so bad for those people when the show takes a terrible turn and it sucks. But the good thing is when I went on the YouTube,
Starting point is 00:21:33 everybody in YouTube agreed with us. So it's just this. That's why I was confused. You texted me that. Yeah. You're like, people in the comments are pissed. I was like,
Starting point is 00:21:40 what? And I went to YouTube. And I was like, they seem pretty much on the same page. I should have known immediately. Of Spotify. I was like, oh. Yeah. No, I should have known immediately because the first comment I read was, I loved the Santa Clarita jokes. They were so funny. I'm like, what? You know what? Wrong crew. This is the wrong group.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Is that Danny commenting? Like, what the fuck? Yeah. Yeah, probably. Life. Well, anyway, Rula arrives. And she's known Billy and his family, Billy being a Alicia's fiancee for years. So she's got a history with them. They've been patrons at each other's stores and restaurants and blah, blah, blah. And everyone's praising Billy, which has to make this like even more difficult of a situation.
Starting point is 00:22:24 They're all saying they're going, oh, my God, I love Billy like this, that, the other. But when push comes to shove and Liz lays out like, yeah, I'm not on the deed. I'm not on this. I'm not on that. They spin immediately. They're like, you know what? fuck that you need to get on all of that shit or you need to get the fuck out of there you need to get him back actually he had a little indiscretion i guess he's like one of the ants is like you need to go
Starting point is 00:22:48 fuck somebody and get back out and i'm like hell yeah aunt like this is great i love the ride or die they go from loving bill to fuck bill get the money it's like yeah this yes this was such a good like it was a polar opposite scene actually no it really wasn't now that i'm thinking about it when we saw Rula and her friends sitting down to talk about all of this, they were also kind of on the same like, yeah, you know, he's going to have his indiscretions.
Starting point is 00:23:14 You just got to be able to get through it. I love going over to Alicia's family where they're like, you got to get your get back. What are you doing here? I had a guy who wandered as well. Wondered. What do you mean? Wondered what?
Starting point is 00:23:25 He wanted. He wanted. Wondered. Wanted. Wanted? Wanted. Wanted. God, that was damn,
Starting point is 00:23:30 pan situation. Incredible. That's that like, it answers the age old question. like when I can't understand your accent, what the hell's going on. Apparently other people who speak the same way also can't really understand what you're saying. So that was really fun for me. But I love getting that because Rula needed that.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Again, the jury's still out on Rula. We still haven't seen enough of her. And I do think she's kind of keeping her distance a little bit because of the Joe Ellen issue, but also because of the other issues going on in her own household. But I want to see more from her because when she is in a good element, she seems to show up a little bit more and she adds a lot of value to the show. So I do think that she's going to be good as we move forward. But this is what she needed.
Starting point is 00:24:08 She absolutely needed to sit down with Alicia's family because they know what the fuck they're talking about. Agreed. Agreed. It was a great scene. Loved it. Love the fam. But we get a quick jump over to Rosie and Ashley. And they're talking kids again.
Starting point is 00:24:21 As we know, Rosie and her husband weren't going to have kids. And then recently the husband is second guessing. Now he's like, well, maybe now I do one. Kids, blah, blah, blah. I'm not really sure. And they're just talking about potentially having kids. kids or not. Like what the what the upside? They're doing the pros and cons of the kid list. Yeah, that usually works out. Yeah. Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn't. Look, Ashley's probably the person to talk to
Starting point is 00:24:46 because she is so on the other end of the spectrum that she loves having kids and she feels like it's a, it's a natural calling for her. So if Rosie is having those and she even says, she's like, I'm in a little bit of a gray area. I don't really know where I want to go, which I think is kind of progress. I mean, between her and Phil, it sounds like Phil really. really wants kids. And maybe he did the old like, yeah, you know, whatever you want, babe, let's get married. And then I'll figure it out later. And now he's kind of putting the pressure on her, which does suck, but it does happen.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Of course, I think that this is probably a good scene for Rosie to kind of sit down with Ashley, because she'll be able to talk her through some of that. And I think, you know, at the end of the day, whatever Rosie's going to do is what Rosie's going to do. If it's the end of their marriage, it's the end of their marriage. That's kind of where it's going to lead. But, you know, that's not the first time that's happened. That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:25:32 We've seen a lot of that on these shows, especially recent. It's been a big, big divorce era in Bravo. Yeah, that's unfortunate too because I'm also looking at other people. We will do Atlanta tomorrow, but I was watching Atlanta. I'm like, oh, they're going to get divorced. That's going to happen. And I forget who I was talking about. But yeah, let's take a quick break here.
Starting point is 00:25:53 We're going to take a quick ad break. The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time.
Starting point is 00:26:22 And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the decisions that the characters make. This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s, and man, it is so good to be back. Starting point is 00:29:51 There are vampires out there. They're beside you in the darkness, but what people don't understand is that they're not monsters. They're just going to work, living there on lives. But we are a dying breed. Those who came before me, they are fearful and are not content to sit back and just disappear. And they'll do anything to fix that. From the creators of Parkdale Haunt comes Whitbine, a podcast about monsters, dreams, and changes, those you want, and those you never saw coming. Season 2 arrives September 24th, distributed by Realm. And then we'll get back to the rest of this episode. Now let's get to Liz and the Gypsy for the Liz and Kelsey conversation.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I guess Jerry sold their boat so good for them. They're getting rid of it. And, you know, we can make that classic boat joke. The best day of owning a boat is the day you get it and the day you sell it. I don't think that applies to a guy who goes three weeks out of each month to go deep seafishing. I think he loves doing that. It seems to be the case.
Starting point is 00:30:53 But that does mean that they're going to be spending a lot more time together. And it brings up the Dino thing once again. And this is my point. Like every chance she has to talk about it, she's like, you know, but he asked him to come over. So like it's not that weird. when Jerry's the one saying, hey, Dino, look after her. So obviously he takes me to dinner four nights a week. And then we go to the club.
Starting point is 00:31:18 That's what all best friends do in their 40s and 50s. So get off by back, please. And she apologizes to Kelsey for her reaction, but then obviously brings up the fact she's like, you know, felt like you were co-signing the rumor and this whole thing. And Kelsey's reaction is not really about the situation. between her and Liz. She just immediately goes to her experience with Dino.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I guess she made a mistake 10 years ago. She puts it. And then afterwards, she tried to distance herself. And Dino got emboldened and was like chasing after her and like wouldn't leave her the fuck alone. So when she sees Dino, she like looks the other way and tries to get away from him. So she has a very different experience than being besties like Liz is.
Starting point is 00:32:05 So that brings up what you were saying. is she trying to put more emphasis on what's going on with Liz so that she can kind of slink back in the background and we don't dig into the Dino Kelsey of it all. I don't know if that's part of it. I mean, I think that what I got from this scene was that Kelsey probably would do better for herself. She probably doesn't want to talk about the Dino situation at all.
Starting point is 00:32:28 I mean, look, she gave us enough information where I think that she's done. Like, I don't think she wants to dig into it. You can kind of make your hypothesis from that. I would imagine it probably got a little hairy. It probably got a little unsettling, if you will. It seems like something that was just kind of a quick fling. She didn't want any part of it.
Starting point is 00:32:46 He still kind of pushed and then he started showing up at places, which is just a very weird move. We don't have the whole picture to all of that. So I'm not going to dig any deeper until we get more information on it. But I thought it was kind of strange, honestly, because she just kind of sidesteped the question. Like, hey, are you like bringing this up on camera because you want to talk more about it with me
Starting point is 00:33:06 and Dino or are you doing this because you don't like Dino? Well, actually, you know, I already had all these things going on with Dino 10 years ago. So I would have liked if she kind of addressed it head on instead of going back there. But I guess, you know, we need the historical references. We need to understand what the hell is going on. So I'm not going to hate it at the end of the day. And also more from what I got from the scene is that Liz was willing to admit fault. Like, hey, I shouldn't have done that.
Starting point is 00:33:29 I shouldn't have blown up. I know that I shouldn't have done that. And I feel bad that I did that to you. So I'm happy that you're over here now, which that gives me so much hope. for the future of this show is that somebody who's that big on the show is going to be able to just kind of be like, hey, yeah, I fucked up. I shouldn't have done all those things. Come on over.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Help me clean out this goddamn boat. And then we'll go and have some drinks on the boat. Yeah. They're cool. That's the big takeaway for me. They're fine. They're able to squash this and move forward. It does raise a lot of question marks for Dino and like what the Dino storyline is going to be.
Starting point is 00:34:05 I imagine they'll both. be involved and we might have like a conversation with Dino's in jail right currently I don't know if Dino's in jail is Dino in jail? I believe somebody said that in our DEMs I could be mistaken but yeah check it out real
Starting point is 00:34:20 quick let me know. All right so he's not currently in jail but he is facing serious legal challenges and he's been out on bond as his case progresses. Okay. He's facing seven felony charges in Rhode Island Superior Court stemming from 2020
Starting point is 00:34:36 with a multi-year investigation by the state police, which looks like drug charges, honestly. Okay. Yeah, controlled substances, perjury. Oh, God. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. He's probably not in a very good place.
Starting point is 00:34:51 But the case still remains pending with no conviction made. So not looking great for Dino. Look, I don't know if this is going to be like a Dino is going to be on the screen a lot more. I think it's just based off of the track record that we have from this show for the last couple episodes. I think we're going to move on. I think we're actually just going to move on from the old Dino situation. I hope so. I mean, based on everything else in this show, that actually is a pretty good bet.
Starting point is 00:35:16 So that would be awesome if we're able to do that. Yeah. But anyway, we get to this train rail ride. It's one of those bikes that you ride on the train tracks. And we've seen that a couple times on other shows, I think. But Joe Allen's out of town, which means Rula can go and, you know, let her hair down a little bit, not be concerned. Me too, because we do get a different side of Rula. when Joe Ellen's not there.
Starting point is 00:35:38 I do need them to, to mend this bridge so we can have everybody together in the future, even if they're not friends, but need some cordiality at some point. Not yet. They're fine for now. But on the way there, we hear that Rosie left her job as a reporter because she got colitis and didn't want to wear a diaper to work every day. And when she took medical leave, she loved it so much she didn't want to go back. Kelsey, who seems to know a lot.
Starting point is 00:36:09 She's always the go-to when something pops up. Kelsey says, everyone knows she got fired for having an affair with one of the higher-ups. We didn't know that. Yeah, we didn't know that, but Rosie also came out on Sunday night and posted to her Instagram story saying, just to be clear, I've never had or been involved in an affair, and I've never been fired.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Fortunately, working in corporate America means everything. is documented, see you at the reunion. So I like that. I do appreciate that. But this is another one of those rumors. We're just floating around rumors left or right. There's nothing you can do. Nobody can escape the rumor mill.
Starting point is 00:36:45 There's nothing you can do in Rhode Island. And I'm starting to enjoy it because we get to pick and choose which ones are true. This one's interesting. I do think it's kind of funny because when you see, especially like a newscaster or somebody involved in like a local media area, when they're not coming back, it's like, yeah, they got fired. Like, okay. Like you're doing picnics now, which I got really excited.
Starting point is 00:37:04 excited. I thought we were going to pull up to that picnic at the end and Rosie was going to have cameras there. Like, I'm welcome back to another picnic with Rosie. This is a great spot. Like I really thought that she was going to do that. That would have been incredible, but it wasn't. Now, I don't know. I mean, rumor mills are just flying left and right. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know what's true. I think it's really funny. I think this is again, Rosie has been able to move around where she hasn't had any rumors her litter. Here you go. No one's safe. Yeah, agreed. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:37:34 agreed. It's just, I mean, yeah, like you said, it's rumor mill, rumor city. So until we get something a little more tangible, we won't dive too far in. She said she's bringing receipts or whatever. I mean, we've seen receipts in the past. They're not going to land. They very rarely land. But it's also, it's such a throwaway comment that like, like, we're not going to spend much time. It'll be a question. I'm sure we'll come back to it. She'll pull out like a huge binder with all this shit. And everyone's going to be like, okay. Like, it wasn't that serious. Yeah, exactly. But anyway, Rosie talks to Liz and gets the tea about Ashley. So Ashley and Liz didn't hit it off right away. And Rosie's trying to go to bat for Ashley and just trying to see where Liz is at with her. I guess she didn't make a very good first impression. And she says to Liz like, hey, you're kind of scary though. Like you're a little intimidating, especially to new people. And going to Ashley, I mean, pretty much confirms it.
Starting point is 00:38:29 She's like, you know, people mistook my mom's shyness as bitchiness. same shit with me. People think I'm an asshole because I don't talk. So I'm just shy. And I get it. Like Liz, Liz is a commanding presence. I mean,
Starting point is 00:38:41 you can see it through the TV screen. I thought, honestly, I thought Rosie went about this the right way. She's like, look, you are rich, powerful,
Starting point is 00:38:48 very attractive, you're a little intimidating. So all of that does kind of lead up to, I'm kind of scared to you. And I understand why people are scared. I love Liz being like, what do you mean? I'm such a sweetheart.
Starting point is 00:38:58 I'm very sensitive under all of this. But again, this is the mark of a good show. it's a mark of a good cast because even later when Liz is talking about it, she's able to take that and be like, yeah, I get it. I've got a tough exterior underneath I am sensitive. And Ashley's able to explain it away as well when she's talking to Rosie like, yeah, it's it just kind of is what it is.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Like I'm a little scared. When we watch it, we have the benefit of watching this as a third party. I got she was very intimidated by Liz. Ashley showed up. She doesn't really know anybody. She's not from Rhode Island. First episode, we find out if you're not from Rhode Island, fuck you. So I get that.
Starting point is 00:39:31 So if you're coming in as now, or the first person you meet is Liz, who's this just, like, impressive character. You start talking to me. Like, hi, I don't know what to do with you. Maybe you'll be nice to me in the future. Maybe not. I hope you are. Yeah, I mean, I get it.
Starting point is 00:39:47 I just get where she's coming from. But I felt bad genuinely for Alicia. And I think that she actually, I don't know if she recognized some things in this scene by doing this exercise because they do a little role play. Because they're just talking again about her not being on anything, not on the deed, on the restaurant, you name it, she's not a part of it. And pizza mama implies that it's her name image and likeness. Like she is quote to go to the pizza mama, at least according to Liz and other people in the group. So they do a little role playing.
Starting point is 00:40:20 It starts out kind of funny. She's like, I can't have sex with you all the time because I want to go to bed and I want to watch Love Island and I want to go to sleep. So that was fun and we get into it like yeah, you know, then it starts to get kind of serious. Then it gets kind of dark and sad. She's like, I've given you my whole life and I got nothing to show for for 11 years. I got all these ideas. That shows me that I'm worthless. You're telling me and she's like, guys, this is going to make me cry.
Starting point is 00:40:46 I was like, you're going to make me cry because you're realizing in real time like, oh, wow, this is what all this means. It means he doesn't really respect me. Yeah, that was definitely tough to hear from Alicia's standpoint. But this is another good spot for Rula. I mean, I really enjoyed the fact that she was just pouring fucking cocktails sitting in the back and not pedaling. Like, that's a very good job. You know what?
Starting point is 00:41:06 We'll do with all the peddling. You just hand us cocktails that tastes like absolute rubbing alcohol. Great. And then Rula shows up and she's like, look, I mean, he's got to understand that you've got intrinsic value. I thought for a second, because I'm just so used to this. And I, you know, I don't want to talk about Beverly Hills. If somebody implied that you didn't know what a word meant on Beverly Hills, we'd talk about it for six episodes. But here, it's like, yeah, I actually don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:28 what that means. Can you explain that to me? Okay, I'll give you layman's terms, which again would have been a slight in a different show. But in this show, it's like, yeah, please do. Talk to me like I'm five years old and I don't understand what's going on. You bring so much more value to the house. You're taking care of the kids. You're doing the laundry. You're a homemaker. He needs to understand that without you, all of those things would go away. So he needs to sit down and figure it out. You guys have to have a conversation about it. But again, this is a good journey that a leash is on because we talk about like the evil that's associated with reality TV. There's actually some good that comes from reality TV.
Starting point is 00:42:00 You get to force these issues and talk about them with other women who understands and what the best for you. So this was a good scene, I think, for her. I agree. It was. And it's nice to see her open up. It's nice to see the group be supportive and, you know, back her up in this situation. Because you want to see a cohesive group.
Starting point is 00:42:16 You want to see a supportive group. You want to see some shit pop off every now and then, obviously. But the big takeaway is that she's got a lot of. backup here, which is pretty cool. Yeah. But then some shit pops off because Rosie was talking to Ashley, talking to Liz, like on the side, people like, what are these little side combos going on? And she just reiterates that, hey, you know, I told Ashley that some people are scared of you,
Starting point is 00:42:40 Liz, they're just a little bit scary. You know, it's kind of a defense mechanism. You tend to jump down people's throats. And like Alicia said that you're always like that. Like, that's just how you are. You always get mad. not really it's not exactly what she said paraphrasing a bit paraphrasing ever so slightly it was the
Starting point is 00:42:59 kind of say that though sort of yeah walking on eggshells implies that it's a constant fear of her getting mad she did say she's always going to be like that she's never going to change it's like right hey yeah so yeah I mean she's not right is it is it shady what she's doing yes sure yes it is okay but at the same time it might be a lesson for new housewives where it's like if you say it, it will be used against you in the court of housewives. At some point or another, it's going to come back in a moment that you're least expecting it.
Starting point is 00:43:33 That was kind of what I took away from this was like, Rosie might be able to play the game a little bit. She is. She remembers. Yeah, she remembers things that are said about other people. It's almost like she's keeping a bit of a portfolio, like a mental portfolio.
Starting point is 00:43:46 I wouldn't be surprised if she has an actual portfolio at home. She just talks about it to herself. Yeah. But yeah, bringing this up, it was the best possible moment to bring it up because it threw a wrench into everything. Like, yeah, this whole Ashley Liz thing would probably go away very quickly because Ashley's just, she just seems very nice. So I think she'd be able to explain it away and be like, look, maybe she would cry because apparently she's going to cry a lot of the season. Maybe she would end up just start crying and bawling her eyes out. And then Liz would feel bad for her.
Starting point is 00:44:13 But I think that was going to be over very quickly. Instead, this throws a whole wrench into everything because it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa. not only is Alicia now mad at Rosie for bringing that back up and say, don't you fucking do that. Don't bring that up and talk about me like that. Now Liz is like, what the hell's going on?
Starting point is 00:44:27 You guys are talking about me this much? Exactly. The good thing is Liz, I don't know what triggers her. I hate to use that word, but like moments where I think she's going to get mad, she doesn't get mad. And then you say ongoing and she loses her fucking shit.
Starting point is 00:44:43 I don't know what the barometer is with her because even in this moment, she just takes Alicia aside. She's like, hey, we're fine. Not before Alicia has a full-blown meltdown. She's like, don't you put shit in my mouth. You slow your role.
Starting point is 00:44:55 You're not hot. Look at me. Hey, now I know who you really are. You twisted my words. Welcome to Rhode Island, bitch. This is how we roll. You fucking thirsty, bitch fucking whore. Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:07 I love that pop off. That was such a great Alicia moment, too, because like, she, like, nothing Alicia said was really wrong either. Like, yeah, you did kind of say it, but Rosie paraphrased, and she weaponized it. She threw it out. there just to try to create some shit. Now you got an eye open. You're looking at Rosie.
Starting point is 00:45:22 You're trying to watch what's going on. I would not be surprised if this is going to be the rest of the season. Like, yeah, Rosie, she's starting some shady shit. We got to keep an eye on her and that's going to blow up in her face. But I do think that Rosie can handle it. And again, I think everybody on this show can handle it. Everybody on the cast can handle it. Every time that they're tested a little bit, they do it in different ways, but they get tested
Starting point is 00:45:41 and it's like, whoa, boom. And then next episode, we're good. Don't worry about it. We're not going to hold on to this shit. I don't have time to hold on to this shit. Perfect. I love that. I need more of that. Agreed. And that's what's so great about how it ends because Rosie and Alicia, who seemingly hate each other now, or at least Alicia hates Rosie, Rosie goes to talk to her.
Starting point is 00:46:01 The example she gives, I thought was shoddy at best. She's like, well, well, why is it okay to call me out for saying that, but you're not going to call her out, alluding to somebody else talking about Liz. I was like, well, that's not really the same scenario. And that's not what she's mad about. I would just be pissed about you calling her out in front of everybody here. somehow she flips it and Alicia's like you're right you're right I want I don't want us to not be I'm sorry I it's all good I'm I love the phrase I'm a sensitive gangster I was like you are you are it comes through and I like that about you yeah and I actually like as I watch the watch what happens live after and Alicia was talking about Rosie she's like look I love Rosie but just keeping
Starting point is 00:46:41 an eye on her and I'm just keeping an eye on what's going on there because she threw me under the bus but you know I still love her like that's that's what I want I want you guys to love each other, but absolutely hate each other in certain moments. Agreed. It's just glorious TV. And God, I don't, I can't say enough good things about this show. It's just, it gets better each week. And I'm not used to that.
Starting point is 00:47:03 We're used to Beverly Hills right now. So, let's get to some questions. First one up here from Jabbs. What's creepier, the Joe Ellen's sister husbandry? That I don't care what the rest of this says. Or Kelsey saying that Dino is a crazy. stalker still that. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:47:21 I don't think anything will ever top that. No. And a lot of people are confirming that as well. There's multiple, multiple comments about, yeah, unsweet Caroline. What the fuck was that
Starting point is 00:47:33 with Joelle and sister and her husband? We don't know. This is also very good because I actively avoided using that picture for questions because I didn't want people to just ask us all about that because I knew they already would. So we did get a couple others mixed in,
Starting point is 00:47:47 but it shows me that everybody think of the same thing. Agreed. Amanda Rocky's mom says, do you guys think Alicia is scared of Liz or is Rosie really just being a menace? Both. I don't think Alicia's scared of Liz necessarily.
Starting point is 00:48:03 I don't know. Maybe respects Liz, like respects what she can do. But yeah, maybe not scared. Yeah. Georgia Fuller pointed out, that's right. Well, Georgia Fuller pointed out, how much are we loving the drama that doesn't feel so heavy and is resolved
Starting point is 00:48:18 fast. That's perfect. It's absolutely perfect. It is the best. You sent me this, uh, the other day, uh, from SDM, WVU. FYI, Dino is also the father to Aaron Hernandez's ex-girlfriend's son. So interesting little tidbit there. Yeah, we got some ties in there, huh? You know, you don't have, uh, um, low 19, no, I'm not going to read that. I don't know. from Brooke Leneu. Who would you rather, quote, unquote, go toes with Alicia or Liz?
Starting point is 00:48:55 Oh, I don't want to go toes with either of them, but I guess Alicia. Do you mean toe to toe or like touch toes? No, they know. Alicia, Alicia said in this episode, go toes. Oh, okay. She said a lot of funny shit this episode. She did.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Jane's Fonda thing. James Fonda is my favorite. And she still says James Fonda, which is even funnier. Like, that was not just a one-off. Yeah, R-Mab 124. as a personal trainer would still recommend jane's fonda i yeah jane's fonda is way better than jane fonda absolutely uh from zoe kova palais uh with rhode island do we really need new jersey back
Starting point is 00:49:31 yeah because we do need new jersey but like rhode island is fantastic they're there's separate ideas yeah that's a good point i guess it shows it sets the bar for jersey yeah like this is what you have to contend with jersey so mhm pick it up uh from andy dormant rule is husband rule is husband hates her right rule his husband is a piece of shit he probably hate the he hates on this show so now all of his indiscretions are coming to light and other people are kind of picking up on that but I don't think he hates her I think he just hates the situation that he put himself in I just think he hates his life personally but a couple more oh from NAMs how to remember who is who they
