What's up bros? We're back from our vacation and overdue for a Love Island breakdown so we figured we'd give all our thoughts over the last week to get back to a current status. While movie night definitely gave us some good moments, it seems like all of the couples are pretty secure and we blame the lack of bombshells. Casa wasn't enough to mix it up so we foresee a bit of a scramble to the finish line and maybe that will create a few more good moments before we write the final chapter of this season. A lot has happened since our last Love Island recap. A lot, a lot. The villa looks entirely different. A lot of, a lot of departures and a lot of question marks. A massive tree out back of my apartment is also no longer here, and I just noticed it. So this is, I just look up. I tend to look out the window when I'm just trying to think about what I'm going to say. And there's no tree there. So that's very puzzling. But yeah, I mean, hell of a day for me today. I obviously, you know, social media. It kind of keeps you up to date with what's going on on Love Island. But watching it, holy chore. Oh, my God. The day just escapes you when you have to watch six or seven episodes. You have to catch up on it.

When you fall behind, it is a slog through to get back to neutral. Yeah, even if you're skipping like unnecessary scenes, there's just not a lot you can do. But let's just say we're all caught up. We're ready to go. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh, man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a I don't need the spotlight.

We only got it for one more week. Villa Goots. What's up, dude? Is it definitely for a week? because then I saw conflicting reports saying that they were extending it a little bit more. I don't know what the hell's going on. Somebody dropped to me that there have been no bombshells since the three bombshells came in during the Big Bed Challenge.

Casimir does not count as bomb shells. It's too late for bombshells. So what are they going to do, shoehorn in like a couple and just like see if they can distract Kenzie or Casey. Like everybody else is just going to stand pat. It just seems very weird. Yeah, I noticed that too. the last, it was the big bed challenge was the last time

yeah, any bombshells. We were all clamoring. Five bombshells in total. Five bombshells in total. That's not enough. That's not enough. I will say, I enjoy this season a lot more than last year. Like I will say that.

But the lack of bombshells, I don't understand, especially early on. There was that big gap in between last bombshell and movie night. That was prime for a bomb. Yeah. We needed one or two to enter the villa at that point. But we didn't. And now I agree. I think it's too late too.

Could it be interesting? Maybe. But I feel like after movie night, nobody's going to be dumb enough to do anything. Yeah. I mean, we've got it this week. And I think next week would be right around when they would do the finale.

Because they're right around like 36 episodes and we're up to 29 right now. So I would imagine we've got a full week ahead of us. And then they'll just end it sometime next week. I think they usually ended on like a Tuesday or Thursday or something. It's going to be kind of interesting. just to see how they round out the season. I don't know. I don't really remember last season.

I kind of blocked it out. But I think I was heavily invested last year. And this year, I'm like, yeah, I don't like, even now, and maybe it's just because of the time off, I'm not really connected to anybody. My connections are gone. And maybe they have their connections of the islands. My connections are gone. Like, I like people in certain situations.

I think some of them are funny. I think some of them are annoying. But I don't really dislike anybody. I also really don't like anybody, if that makes any sense. So I'm not really like picking a favorite at this point. I'm just like, okay, I guess we'll just see how this goes. I agree with that. Last year, I was definitely more invested in some individuals.

So it didn't have that factor. But as far as like a run of show goes, I feel like this was more cohesive as a season, personally. I don't know. I guess you could say if you're not really connected with them, is it a better season? Because I totally agree. It doesn't have that same addiction factors last year. I was like, oh, my God. I am drowning in Love Island

and I'm okay with it. This year it's kind of like, oh yeah, I got to watch Love Island. Yeah, that's a really good way to put it. I feel like last year there were so many situations and so many people that were so polarizing. This year I'm like,

yeah, all right, cool. Let's go. Let's figure it out. And I don't want it to seem like we're nitpicking because I think it's a really, really difficult show to like line up. If they just ran the same format back every year,

it would get predictable. People would start to try to play the game a little bit more and try to couple up before certain nights because they know our recoupling's coming or something like that. Casa. More obviously would be the same time every year. So that would get a little weird. And we know they pushed Casa a little earlier this year because of how stale it was getting.

So it's it's got to be a really difficult show to produce. And obviously the people online, the lunatics out there don't make it much easier. I mean, that's, I think that's the hardest part of my week was just simply trying to keep up what's going on so I can stay somewhat current. And obviously you still have to go watch certain instances. But you just get a heavy dose. of weirdos, just bizarre people out there. It's, I don't even know if they're real people.

They could just be bots. At this point, it probably is just bots. Twitter is basically, Twitter at this point. It's a hellscape. It's funny too, because like, there are such good tweets. There's absolute bangers out there that I would hate to miss. But 80% of it right now is just dead space. Like, oh, like, this isn't real.

This isn't real. This is fake. And then all the comments are fake. It's brutal. Threads is a lot better for that. Threads is okay for Love, but it still doesn't have that. I love that you come around on threads.

I've come around on threads, but it's still missing that just absolutely diabolical factor that Twitter always had. It needs to get a little, I don't want to say it needs to get meaner, but there's probably a weird clause against bullying too. I don't know. I don't know what it's missing. I just need something.

I need something so that I can track this without stupid bots and stupid people. That's what I try to get away from. But this is one of those shows that just everybody's watching at all times and they're just making things up. but it's infuriating when you're not actively watching it. I'm pretty sure, just another comparison last year to this year, pretty sure, could be wrong, and it might have changed as the season went on. I think the streaming numbers this year were like astronomical.

I think they were fewer than last year. So I don't know if we're getting more people. I don't know if that indicates a better season. I don't know. I think if you look, let's combine the two seasons last year and this year. I think there's some good things. I think there's some bad things. things. I think we need to just kind of tinker a little bit with bombshells and stuff like that.

Granted, like you said, I imagine trying to produce this show is an absolute nightmare. And you also have, you know, one of the OG members of the villa didn't actually make it on the show because she's racist. And then you have another CASA member who gets booted early because she's racist. I think the first thing we need to do from a production standpoint is get better at vetting people. Yeah. So you don't have these hiccups along the way. The vetting process is bizarre too, because a lot of it ends up being like weird videos

from Snapchat or Instagram lives from years ago that aren't still in the archive that you can pull out on them. I think there just needs to be some sort of like handshake deal. Like, hey, you're not racist, right? And there should be more of a penalty than going off of Love Island because then those people probably won't try to get on Love Island. Now, obviously, you know, that's me underestimating how stupid people can be. And obviously they're going to try to grasp at the fame if they can.

But there's got to be something out there because this is just happening every year. I'm happy the way that this went with movie night anyway. That was my big question going into everything. And you know how we do these recaps. We're going to be hop around a lot. But my big question going into movie night, of course, is what about all these conversations that people aren't privy to? Great.

That's what movie nights for. The big question for me was always, what is Kada going to think about a lot of being forced out of house before Zach comes back, then it kind of throws a wrinkle into it. I don't know, genuinely, like, I'm still kind of 50-50 on it. They may have told Zach, like, hey, you can't go back until Kada. You just can't go back and tell Kada that she out. Oh, maybe. Because they're not allowed to talk about that ever.

Like, we see that all the time. We saw it last year with what's her face, Sierra, I think, who got booted. Nick just never talked about Sierra again. We never mentioned her again. We don't mention her again. And look, I'm fine with that protocol. Oh, God. I forgot about her.

You remember that disaster? Yeah. Oh, shit. that one's I mean, that one was ridiculous because she was there for like six weeks before they found anything. Yeah. But for the Zach Kada, a lot of thing, we always said it. We're like, well, of course he's going to go back to her. He's going to go back to Kada.

He was probably going to go back to Kada regardless. But the choice was made for him. He never told Kada about it, which I thought was interesting, knowing that eventually somebody's going to bring out. There's Kasa girls in there if they're allowed to mention it. But again, are they allowed to mention it? Are the Kasa girls even allowed to say anything? And then they just kind of rolled this out on movie. And that's when Kate is like, whoa, whoa, wait, where's the girl with the angel wigs?

Where'd she go? And it's like, uh, Zach is just saying it's bullshit over and over and over again. And he didn't say, eventually he comes to the conclusion like, yeah, I figured that I didn't need to tell you. It was irrelevant, which is a bad way to go about it. Yeah. You know, whatever. But he said at the time, this is bullshit.

This is such bullshit 15 times in a row. So that made me think, oh, he was told that he's not allowed to talk about it. Like everybody else is told that they're not allowed to talk about people getting booted. then it comes back to get them in the movie night. And I think it's kind of funny, but it doesn't really amount to anything. Like even these big, huge nuclear bombs that happen on movie night. It's like by the time we're done with movie night, then we move on to the next, they all have discussions and they all kind of come back,

which might be able to speak to their connections, if you want to look at it that way. I think it's just not that big of a deal in grand scheme of things. I don't know. I think that's giving Zach a lot of credit. I think the bigger question is even, or let's say they didn't do that. would he have told her anyway? I don't know.

No. He's kind of a dumbass, especially with stuff like this. Like, you know, we talked a lot during or before movie night. He would always kind of say the wrong thing when they were together like, oh, you know, but I'm still going to explore. Like, what if somebody comes in? So I don't know. I could see both sides. It is surprising that nobody said anything.

That I do believe. But maybe they said to Zach, like if you want to say something, you can, I'd be curious if he'll break the fourth wall after the season talk about that because that is interesting way they have the n d a we know all about that nda last two years so we won't hear about that for a while i just i it's just a peculiar thing i knew that it was going to come up or i thought that it was going to come up and then maybe i thought they might just hide it the whole time and just let him get away with it but it was always going to be a talking point it was always going to be a when you get out of the villa what are you going to do if you guys are still together yeah but i mean even with his omission lie by omission he definitely

should have told her, but if it's what you said, then rock in a hard place. Yeah. The thing that's a bummer for him, he really was saying, like, oh, Kate is probably the one. I don't have the same connection with Alana. And that was before she got the boot. And even Alana says, like, I have my guard up because I don't feel like you're into this. So I do genuinely believe that he would have picked Kada.

I just, it's a very strange move to not tell Kada that she was got. But now I don't know. Now I can barely even analyze it because it's like, well, maybe he wasn't allowed to. And that does equate to him saying bullshit over and over again. So I don't know. That's a good one. That's interesting. Yeah.

It's puzzling at the very least. But the big topic, at least in the first part of the movie night, is Anaya and KC. And we knew this one was coming. We knew this one was coming. It's worse back to back to back. I was so disappointed because everything I was reading online about movie night and I saw a lot of clips obviously while it was going on. Everybody was making it seem like Corbyn really thought that they were going to watch a movie.

So I was really excited to see him like grab some popcorn sit down and ask what movie he was going to be playing. He didn't do anything like, he immediately said like, oh shit, I'm going to get roasted as soon as they said that it was movie night. So that really disappointed me. So people online do better, of course, you know, stop misleading me. I'm very misleadable, but don't mislead me too much. And I think with Casey and Anaya, we knew this was coming.

this was again like yes it got heated it got contentious but it never really felt like it was that big of a deal like yes they had to talk through it and obviously they got into each other's faces but all of the little things the case he was doing the whole time i'm like damn that's disrespectful that's very disrespectful he didn't seem to like really understand that or recognize that at the time he was just focusing on the connections still and this is what case he's been doing the whole time he's like i told you i was going to explore i told you i was going to talk to other girls she wasn't even mad that he was talking to two different girls and he was with Sydney how he went about it it was just the way that he went about it when he was talking to Corbyn

when he was talking to TTI at first when he was talking to Sydney and Sidney was asking if he was dominant which made me think of a old stupid face from last year who's like you like you like to be dominant don't you know he was talking to hooda yeah but yeah I mean all of those things kind of just amounted to how Casey was operating how he was talking about anaya which is what we were all talking about. And yeah, of course, she felt disrespected and she felt upset. But I always think the movie night is very funny because it really just showcases girlfriendhips versus dumbass dudes.

That's where every movie night really is. And we were scammed out of movie night last year. We'll never forgive them for that. But two years ago, when the big movie night happened with Rob and all the things with Leah, all of those things kind of just amounted to here's a bunch of girls who just have a great friendship going. It is friendship casa at this point. go over to the dudes and they're just making mistakes left and right and that's kind of what this was

exactly and it's funny because you see them slip up the entire time and i think that was the biggest takeaway is like comparing how the ladies moved versus how the dudes moved because the ladies sure they explored and i explored carl a little bit but also that was after she had seen so i don't think it's this they're trying to pull the double standard thing i know dudes are like what the hell it's like yeah but they watched on a big screen when the Casa girls were introduced to you guys. So Anaya had already heard you be disrespectful. So that kind of set the tone. And the way that she went about it with Carl wasn't like wildly disrespectful.

And I do think I think had that not happened, had the postcard and all that stuff not happened, I don't know if Anaya would have explored that hard genuinely. I think she might have been a lot more reserved. I'm glad she did with Carl. I love Carl. I think he's just a wonderful man. But I don't know if she would have gone that hard had it not been for Casey setting the tone out of the gate. Yeah, probably not.

This is one thing I will give producers credit for. And I didn't pick Carl. Anaya sent Carl home. She waited for Casey. Very stupid. K. knew all of those things. So that's one thing I think they could have pointed out.

And yeah, maybe there is a little bit of a double standard. We're going to see that every movie night with every clip. Whenever the girls are doing something, it's always, oh, good for you. That I agree with. And all of the guys are like, what the fuck is going on here? And then when they're doing something, it's fuck you, go to hell. So that's always funny. And I, again, I don't think it's that deep.

I just think it's funny. But I feel like for their argument, it should have been, if this is how you felt about Casey all along. And you knew he was being disrespectful. And as soon as he walked back into the villa and he came back in with Titi and you had all this smoke for him, why did you not pick Carl at first? Thank God. The producers are like, hey, who do you want to bring back? We got to bring back Carl, right? Let's throw him.

Amora is just collateral damage. I mean, that was never going to work. But bringing Carl back, thank God. I mean, he's probably the only guy in the villa that I'm looking. I mean, obviously, Bryce is fine. But he's kind of taking a back seat. The whole boyfriend, girlfriend, three, kind of gave me the ick. But with Carl, Carl, Carl, coming back, that's great.

I love the Carl's back because he's now the number one guy in the house for me. Yeah. How about that? Another Carl is the number one guy in the group. It's good to be named Carl, apparently. Mm-hmm. Sure. But with the Bryce and Trinity,

stuff. Obviously, we were too worried and I don't even, did he even get a package during movie night? I don't even remember. No, no. Bryce did not. I wanted them. I, yeah, I mean, at the same time, it should be fair play and just throw the Trinity clip out there of her

kissing Corey in the photo booth. I mean, he knows that it happened. And again, I guess it really wasn't that big of a deal because it was the first night that the Casa boys were there. They ended up walking around. She kissed the guy in the photo booth. She came back and then she had no connection with them. So it's not really anything and they've already talked about it.

So it's not like it's going to be super surprising. But I still would have loved to have seen all of the people sitting there on that couch just kind of fawning over the fact that Bryce was just looking across the water, looking for her. Like they should have thrown just something out there just to break it up a little bit. I know they broke it up between two nights, but they could have broken it up a little bit because again, we're not when we move to like Corbin and Kenzie and stuff. Like, yeah, we want to see it just because it'll kind of show you that you're a little

evenly matched. but not a lot of it like is news except for sincere and melody which we'll get to that's a big one everything else is just like yeah you guys aren't in a good place you guys aren't talking to each other anymore this isn't really making things worse it's just kind of confirming suspicions so just throw one out there give us a bryce looking at over the sea just waiting for trinity to come back to him that would have been nice and before we get to sincere since we're just jumping around corbin and kensi let's talk about that so this has been irking me a lot throughout the season,

just because I love that Kenzie explores. I love Kenzie on this show. I think that she's great for this show. My issue with her throughout the entire thing was she does have double standards. Because the way that some of the dudes have moved, Gabe, for example, she was the quickest one. And also, what with lust? What are we doing?

Is it like a Christian show now? Like everyone's talking about lust. He's lustful and this. That's like, again, as Casey said, we're all making out and smack an ass here. I don't know if Lustful is the right word to throw around, but she was so quick to talk about all that stuff. Meanwhile, she's she's moving some type of way. She's making out with Corbyn in secret. I don't care about that stuff.

I think that she played the game right, honestly. Explore, explore, explore, find your connection, knock it down. Boom, done. But I'm glad that she got exposed a little bit during all of this, especially because of all the smoke she has for Corbyn. That being said, Corbyn looked like a dumbass because he was like, I'm going to talk,

he out the window, ha, ha, and shit like that. So he was a dick during Casa, not taking away from that. But it was interesting to see Kenzie get exposed and then see the reactions to it all because obviously when Casey gets exposed, big reactions for sure.

Yeah. Yeah. That when Kenzie gets exposed is a little bit more mellow. It's a little bit more mellow. and I do think that the girls are the driving factor and the yelling and the screaming at people. So the guys on the other end are obviously looking at Kenzie, but she's not saying a word.

She's quiet the whole time. The girls are pretty much quiet, but they're kind of talking under their breath like, oh, yeah, she's going to get fucking cooked for all of this. And she was. I mean, this was,

I think, tougher for Dylan to watch than anyone. Dylan tries me. Again, yeah, Dylan sucks. He's got no personality. But I think with all of them,

like the way that she was, moving with Gall, with Dylan, before that with Corbyn and Caleb. Like I think a lot of that was pretty interesting because you get to actually get vindication if you're Caleb. Like, all right. So this was going on the whole time. This is not just a, oh, I decided to pick Corbyn because our connection was better. It's like, no, you were saying the same shit to all of us.

You just chose Corbyn because you were lustful. Again, that's where it comes back. And that's what she was doing. And this is where the double standard comes in too. Because obviously the girls have all the smoke for Casey. They had all the smoke. And you can use Gabe as an example. I think they had to eliminate somebody and whatever.

But I think when they're looking at Kenzie, they're laughing. They're like, ah, she's always got to have two guys. She's exploring all over the places. The girls say that too. I know. The girls are saying that, but they don't say it to anybody else. They're not talking to the guys about it. Then the guys can get all up in arms about it and kind of go after Kenzie a little bit.

But that is what's happening. And look, I think the line is ever moving on this show. Like we talk about it. It's week two. You should be exploring. It's week three. You should start exploring or maybe, you know, finish up your exploring and then kind of lock it down everybody else seems to be pretty locked down and whenever that happens if there's still one or

two people exploring they get exposed right away kensie i don't know i'm not going to fault her too much for exploring that's kind of what the show's about but i will falter for going after corbin for exploring when she's also exploring and she is going to use that against corvin like oh i watched that video on the first night the heart rate challenge and you were going nuts and saying all these things so now i'm exploring she was going to do that regardless and there's nothing really wrong with it and i don't really care. Like I said, the line moves every season. It just depends on what everybody's doing. If she's locked up now and she ends up locking down with Dylan for the rest of the season, fine. But I don't really, you can't convince me that there's a connection there. Like,

if a bombshell walks in, Kenzie's probably going to explore them. I would be curious. I don't think she will now just because of all the years you get. Yeah, exactly. But with the Corbyn of it all, that's because she still likes Corbyn. Like everything, the way that she votes later, like all of that has to do with she still has a thing for Corbett. I don't know if she still wants to be with them, but there's still some feelings left over that. And I think that's why she does and says the things that she doesn't say. But obviously,

the main attraction of movie night was sincere. And my God, I remembered all of it vividly, just because every time he's like talking to soul, then he's talking to Melony, then he's talking to Amora. It's like, you literally copy and paste this shit.

back and forth. You go from one conversation with Soul to another conversation with Melanie. And in the Soul conversation, you're like, I love this. Like, I feel like we're moving in the right direction and blah, blah, blah. And then you go to Melanie and be like, there's nothing. There's absolutely nothing. I loved watching him get exposed because something better than just the ladies having all that ammo, which was great too, for them to just be like full throttle against sincere. They deserve it. It was fun to watch. But the thing that I like, even more is not only did he lose the respect of all the ladies. He lost respect from all the dudes.

Even the dudes are like, yo, fuck this guy. So he has an entire villa against him for all of his shenanigans. And while he's sitting there, he's still trying to talk his way out of it, which was the funniest shit ever. I was like, you just need to sit there, apologize profusely, and then go sleep in soul ties alone. Yeah, we gave Melanie a lot of credit last week because she really just needed 10. It was just 10 episodes. She got past that 10 episode.

She was a lot better. But I think she's too good now. I think she's gotten too comfortable. She's too safe with everything. She's allowing sincere to go. And that was my big takeaway, obviously. In movie night,

seems like there's a lot of drama. She's crying. Casey and I really get into it. But everything gets squashed so quickly. We move into the next episode. And all it takes is one conversation, hold him accountable and all he says. When he's talking to the guys,

he's like, yeah, I just get really upset. I think this was a little bit later anyway, when they're picking couples. to go home. Everybody says that we're in a toxic couple. Like, was I doing toxic things? Yeah, but we're not in a toxic couple.

It's like, what do you think that? That he emerged himself into a toxic couple is what he was doing. So I like the, I don't, I don't, what did you say? Epitome. Epitome. Epitome. Epitome. Yep, the epitome of a toxic couple starts.

The epitome of hyperbo. Yeah, I'm waiting for that one to come out. He's got to dust that one off. But when he's talking about everything, I'm like, no one's really holding you accountable. Like movie night, the tensions rose. really high and then it all just kind of falls apart. No one really cares the next day.

So that was really bugging me. But for watching this and just in the movie night, that was where I think we got a lot of our satisfaction from because of the way he was moving the whole time. But the other end of that was Melanie. Melody got a lot better. She felt a lot better. She wasn't reactive.

She wasn't freaking out. She wasn't going after anybody else. She wasn't trying to do petty things here and there like she was doing early on in the season. But then she got too cool. She's way too cool with everything. since he was doing now. Like she's allowing him to escape again.

Is he going to do it again? I don't think there's more than enough time left. I think he's only got about a week left. I think he's just going to hunker down and just kind of get through everything and hope for the best. But I don't think that's going to work. I mean, again, this, this contest was decided like three weeks ago. Trinity and Bryce are going to win regardless of what anybody does.

Yep. Facts. I would love to see a random couple win instead. But when it comes to Melanie, I just feel bad. I've had a roller coaster with Melanie. this season. Drove me nuts in the beginning. Then I liked her.

Then I questioned her decision when she didn't pick Corey and she picked sincere. And then this happens. And I'm like, well, he's given you enough signs that maybe you should have went with Corey. But all that being said, all that stuff aside, I just felt terrible for her because she's finally realizing in this moment, oh, my God, I look like a fool. And she says, fool, I think a hundred times. Yeah. But I think the embarrassment.

factor i was like oh that's that's sad i feel bad for you but again you didn't pick corey all of this shit goes down you see it firsthand you had all the casa guys telling you that this was going on and then the aftermath you guys are trying to find your way back so i i don't know it's just i do feel bad for her but do you really think this dude's going to change in a week like i think he's shown who he is just because he's going around saying uh i wasn't shit before and you case he's like that was like two days ago dude and he's like yeah but i'm a truther now now i tell the truth i've learned from all my mistakes and then he steals a moro's line to try to act like it's actually happening he's like i'm learning a lot about myself but at the expense of other people's

feelings yeah says that to corbett i'm like no no yeah don't do that you just stole a morris line you're they're literally doing the same shit right now so all that to say i questioned Melanie's decisions, but I do feel bad for Melanie. Yeah, I mean, I, that's where you are. And that's an okay place to be, I think. I think I do kind of feel bad for her. But again, I think she's just kind of sticking with the couple, just sticking with what's safe.

Like she's not going to explore. And they're not really giving you now. Like who does. Yeah. There's no option. That's the problem too. I mean, obviously we have to get through movie night and they want to do movie night. And that's fine.

I was questioning originally like, okay, what's the point in doing movie night right now? Now, like, let's get rid of some of these people because there's way too many people in the villa right now. We had the problem last year that we had. I'm waiting for them to just kind of get rid of people. And then you can have movie night with all the OGs. Completely fine with that. So there's not a lot to be said until the Kasa girls start talking up. Then they're corroborating some of the stories, which I think is kind of helpful.

Obviously, you know, they kind of step in for Zach because Zach was done with Alana before Alana got removed. He was. So that was helpful to add a little bit of that. And I like to see the girls obviously getting along because you see a Naya kind of compliment. ending TT over and over again while she's like that they friends it was nice yeah yeah but none of them said a word about sincere they're all just kind of sitting there smiling smirking because they know what he was doing and more knows specifically what he was doing everybody else knows how he was moving and talking about his connection he was doing the same shit so that's what that movie night

was essentially for but again if you are Melanie if you are the producers of this show and you see something like that happened you need to drop something immediately like okay now we've got them in a bad place. They're a little vulnerable. Maybe Melanie wants to look somewhere else. Here's a bombshell for you, Mel. Just throwing out there because everybody else, again, like we said in the beginning, is very comfortable in their couples.

It's going to take a lot to try to break any of them up. But that is one moment where you're like, all right, it's a little estranged right now. We have to get rid of some of these people. Let's get rid of like four people and then bring in two bombshells. Like, why not? I'm going to keep harping on it because I feel like this show was founded on, let's throw bombshells out there and test connections.

They just waited way too long. And Casa didn't do it, though. Agreed. And that's lack of bombshell. I mean, we said that throughout the season. I'm sure you guys at home have been saying the same things. The fact that the last three were Seoul, Jen, and Caleb. Yeah, that's crazy work.

That was two weeks ago. And here we are. And I get Casa supposed to throw a wrench and everything. Three weeks ago. Was it three weeks ago? That's too long. We need bombshells. That's the point of the show.

I hope next season, it's just like bombshell island. every other day. It's like, boom, here's another one. And they just whack people left and right. It's like, if you don't have a couple, if you're not secure, you're probably going home. I would love that because if people are going to scramble, and then you got all these new bombshells coming in. The war is over and both sides lost.

Everyone's trying to just move forward, which a part of me does respect that we're not just like full-blown chaos in the villa, but I also would have liked to see full-blown chaos in the villa. You know what I mean? But the gen of it all. And the gall, the gall of gall. That guy's what a weener. I don't like him at all. I think he's a loser.

And like people are talking about like his coffee shop, like, oh, he's like the super famous from where he's from. Like everybody knows, go, he's got this badass surf coffee shop or whatever. I think he's a douche. I think he's a dweeb. I don't care for him at all. No, he did exactly what we thought he was going to do. We called it.

The single girl. And again, that's the low hanging fruit. If you want to get into the villa, pick the single person. Whether you're in Casa or back in the villa, pick the single person. You're going to be fine. That's what Jaden did with Caleb, which was fine. because no one gave a shit, but eventually their run's going to just come to an end because people don't like them enough. They're just boring and nice and whatever, but then you have on the

flip side, you've got a single girl in Jen. And she was genuinely excited about Gall, not sure why, but she was genuinely excited about him. I think he probably just like looks like her type, maybe. Sure. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. But the seconds that he gets in the villa, he starts exploring. He's like, let me go over to Kenzie. Let me do this, which is fine to a certain extent, but he just stop talking to Jen. So it just shows you exactly what you were trying to do. So that was kind of brutal. But again,

there's a lot of shit out of her in that conversation they were having. He made a problem out of nothing. It was, he kept repeating what she was saying and like in a way that was like inflammatory. And then things go off the rails. It's like, what the fuck was that? Like what's your,

my question was like, what's your problem with Jen? Like why? Like, why would you sever all ties that hard? Because then that conversation, go ahead. I was just going to say, Jen hasn't done anything.

She hasn't ruffled anything. feathers she's just been there i mean her connection got sent home which you know maybe she still feels some type of way about but even during movie night they showed where uh kensie pulled jen to say oh i just made out with corbin in the bedroom i don't want to tell anybody so don't tell anyone she goes i didn't even say a word to anyone bitches and melody turns around and shushes her yeah she said no i don't like her like no one likes jen poor jen i felt bad for jen towards the end of this episode of course and in the next episode and i'm watching i'm like dude like how is gahl still there how's he still going to be there he just used jen to get in and then

immediately tries for kensi doesn't work out i respect jen a lot for having that conversation with kensi just straight up telling her we wouldn't be friends outside the villa but let's be dead honest right now you i don't like the way you move you're a little weird we would not be friends outside the villa and kensi's with what me have you seen my splits i i do really good splits i'll do one for you right now watch this let me just watch Watch this and then tell me how you feel about me. Nope. Still the same thing.

All right, cool. But Gaulge is moving on. Doesn't work with Kenzie. Doesn't work with Jen. Then starts talking to Amora, who was just the lonely bombshell, I guess, if you want to call it that,

bringing her back from Casa at Moore. And that was, again, just the safe play. He's just trying to string it along so we can stay in the villa. So he could stay on the show and potentially get an endorsement or be like somewhat loosely like F or G list famous,

I guess. I don't know. The fact that that guy lasted in the villa for as long as he did was bewildering to be. It sucks. And then I'd have to hear things like, Big Night for Gall. Gawl said now.

Shut up, loser. But Dev and I were talking about it. We agreed. I think Jen's bullshit meter was too high for the show in a good way. I think that these dudes all collectively move somewhat similar for the most part. And I think she calls them out on their shit. I think she's like, I'm not putting up with that.

Yeah. And she might be too rational for Love Island. because she's not getting fooled. And she's like, well, no, fuck that guy. Because Gall was a dick, so she was out. And she still had something with him. She's like, I still like him, trying to figure it out. The minute she got the ick from, she's like, fuck him.

And then she looks around the villa. And I think everybody before this vote knew what was going to happen. It's like, well, yeah, really Jen's going home. I think she's going to be fine. I imagine she's going to do a million endorsements after this and be super famous on Instagram and all that. But yeah, that was. Me and Dev's summation of everything was I think that she was just, I don't think any of these dudes could have handled her anyway.

I think that she's just too, her bullshit meter's too high. She would have called all over and out in their shit. I think that's fair. And then going into that recoupling or whatever you want to call it at first, it's a recoupling and then it's a vote. Talk about just no entertainment value. I mean, we are just building this thing up. And that episode, I texted you. I'm like, I'm trying to catch up.

this episode is an hour and 20 minutes long and i already kind of knew what happened i knew that we go to a second thing so i'm waiting for that essentially but going into this one i'm like really we're like no one's picking anybody random no one's going to pick anything weird we're setting this up to see who gall just tell gall and amora they're going home yes seriously keep leave jen bring a bombshell in and then send gall and abora home like that would be very easy you can send caleb and jaden home too i don't care. It doesn't really matter again. I think they're nice, but like, they're not interesting people. So who cares? They had a little tiff. I could not care less about their little argument. I don't know. Have you felt that? But when I solved the two of them arguing, I'm like, what,

what is this? Why are we invested in this one? I think the big thing with those two, I will give jaden credit. I think she clocked him perfectly when she's talking to everybody else. It's like, or when she talks to him specifically, she's like, all you talk about is the connection. I was like, he does do that. He's literally just how you feeling about where, uh, where we're at right now. I feel good. I could you see me outside of here. I think I probably could see us outside of strong connection. Okay. He doesn't talk about shit. That dude, he seems like a nice guy, but he had little to no personality. I was bummed to see him go weirdly. I think it's just because he's been there for a while. I'm like, oh, because he's not an

OG, but he's, he's, what, three weeks in? So that kind of bummed me out. But yeah, as far as like investing in couples, we already talked about that were not as invested this season. I had no dog in the fight when it comes to Jaden and Cattle. I was like, oh, yeah, they're a couple. That's pretty much what happened. When they came on screen, like, oh, yeah, they're here. So, yeah, they're fine to go. Obviously, the whole thing shakes out so that it's those two Ghalamor and Jen are all whacked in the same night.

But I agree. Like, when we get to that challenge, I was hoping. I'm like, how is Melanie and sincere not getting more votes? That doesn't make sense to me. I feel like the friendships are so strong that we're voting for friends rather than voting for this makes sense to me. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, the only funny things to come out of that vote.

And again, I agree with the vote because you need to get rid of people at this point. Doing the vote was mostly just making them talk about who they're voting for and having the vote for two different couples. Now, obviously, you know, the low-hanging fruit, Gallauda more just got together. weird we haven't seen you do together we saw you guys had a conversation you guys are out the door immediately but for going around and it's like yeah Caleb and jaden whatever the little weird votes that came in corbin holding sincere accountable where he's like i you know i just feel like it opened my eyes a little bit while i was watching that movie night you were just talking a lot of shit weren't you like that's real that's good vote for him now kenzie getting votes was purely just a lot of the dudes

were like eh we're kind of over kensie let's just move on she's floating around she's still trying to find a connection, but she's had multiple connections. She doesn't seem to ever be happy. She needs to go. That was real as well. But obviously, when you have two other couples and you've got so many people in the house, they're always going to catch the votes. I mean, at the end of the day, you do want them out first, but it might put some eyes

on Kenzie. It might put some eyes on sincere. Again, it's the weird way that the fans are interacting with the show. They just pick one person. Like, I understand that you like Keda. I understand that you like Melanie. I understand that you like Anaya, completely fine. you're supposed to be picking the best connection.

Now, Anaya and Carl might be fine. They might actually have a good connection. I like them. Still holding her feet to the fire a little bit because she still picked KC after all of that, which was bizarre. That doesn't make a ton of sense to me. But when you're voting for the people that you like to watch, you should be voting for them as a couple.

Why would you still be voting for sincere and Melanie to be there? I think by the end of Sunday night's episode, we got to a better spot at least because I like Keda a lot. Zach is a cornball and he's not really into that relationship. the fact that they were at the bottom, that tells me a lot. Maybe we're starting to get the right thing in the world. I agree. I think what bummed me out, you guys know day one, Corbyn Stan.

Love that guy. I think we lost a great one. I think that the comedic value of the show is going to dip astronomically. Yeah, it definitely is. But you can say what you want about him. You can say what you want about Parmita. You cannot sit there and tell me that they didn't have a super strong connection. maybe it did have a lot to do with aesthetics like oh you look this way i look this way like we're both

perfect you're perfect i'm also perfect we're perfect together i've never found myself in somebody before i've gotten better at the corporate voice but as far as time for him to go home i know right as far as the connect those who cares you think i'm not going to say melody every episode still but they had a good connection like they were on top of each other all the time they talked all the time. Sure, it was superficial, but they do seem like they are two peas in the same pod. I don't think that was fair. And then I'm really curious. And I don't know if they have the results of the vote. Did Kenzie and Dylan literally get saved by the karaoke challenge? And we got to talk They literally got saved. They literally, yeah, we'll talk about that. I don't know if they were going

home. I think they would have been up for elimination. But again, you're just going to kind of pick your friends at that point. I do think they were at the bottom. if I had to guess. And I do think this was a production step in. Like we want Kenzie to stay here. We don't give a shit about Dylan. But we want Kenzie to stay because we've got a bombshell for her so we can show again that she's still going to explore and we'll do that this week at some point.

But they were literally saved by the karaoke, which the karaoke was fun. I want them to bring that back in the season. I think that was really good. And I think that weirdly enough shows how good your connection is. If you guys can sing karaoke together, you've got a good connection. Corbett and Parmita, though, I disagree with you. I think that's, I'm going to say lost. I think they were just there.

They're just too hot people just make it out. That's all it was. I mean, when you look, when you get to the end where you are now, you do start looking like, all right, who can be good in the outside world? Who might stay together? You might have a, no chance in hell. The Corbyn goes back to Miami with some sort of now following. And he's just going to stay with one girl.

They're all going to be in L.A. anyway, that whole thing. They all stay like they have the sharehouse and then are we going to get another season of beyond the billow at this crew? I don't know. I've been seeing way too much of what's his fucking face, J.T. J.T. and Iris. Too much. They're in commercials. Enough.

They are not interesting people. They're boring as shit. That show was garbage. I can't believe I watched it. If they make another show, I will be in the same spot where I'll be hung over on a Sunday and I probably will watch it. And I don't want to watch it. but I probably will just because Corbyn's going to be on it. But Corbyn's 22.

He's going back to Miami. He's going to be fine. He is moving on from Parmina. Immediately. There's already reports that they are the first couple to leave the villa and immediately break up. They're not even going to try to be together when they get outside the villa. So that was immediately, obviously going to happen.

But yeah, I think I'm okay with productions stepping in and just giving the, I guess this is now Survivor. Like they get a, what's the word? immunity they get the immunity idol yeah that's what they got healed doing the karaoke yeah they got they got a shield from uh doing good karaoke but again the karaoke thing was very fun and i do think kensi and dylan did a really good job with that i agree and the biggest thing i was worried about with movie night and all of that stuff you know we had to watch dylan cry over the fact that kensi had made out with somebody previously or he made out with gall and he was like dude oh my god i i couldn't

not. And then all I thought after moving, I was like, oh, my God, now we're going to have to sit there and listen to Dylan cry about this too, which is going to be so annoying. You're on Love Island, pal. Kenzie wants you. She picked you. Just fucking go with it. But regardless, I think that we need more challenges like this. This I like this would get you more invested in the couples. We can't just have like sex challenges because if you guys like I speed through half of those like I'm on an airplane or something like that. I don't want to be around the gym. When you do a challenge like the karaoke thing, that stuff I'll watch. And I'll be like, ooh, I really like them. Ooh, that was cute. Ooh, they seem like they really have chemistry going on. And there was a podcast recently, and I forget the name of it, and I apologize. But they were discussing a comparison of Love Island UK and Love Island USA.

And that was one of the bigger takeaways is US is just sex, lust. We'll use that stupid word. Just lustful. I think we need more karaoke-esque challenges, and I will buy into these people more. Because I think that if it's just sex all the time, I'm like, eh, I don't, I don't know. You can't judge a connection on how far you can stick your tongue down somebody's throat.

No, period. No, no. And I do think, like, obviously challenges are warranted here and there. That's the other thing about the UK. They don't have as many challenges, but I do think they do that on the U.S. because they can slip in Serave, they can slip in like Mabelene

or whatever that one was a little bit while ago. Those things are fine and I do want to see those challenges. I want to see the compatibility because you might get people thinking like, oh, I had a really good kiss with that girl while I was doing the challenge or whatever it may have been. So I do think that they're essential at some point. You have both is what I'm saying.

Yeah, you can do both. This season, I feel like there's so little moments, especially now as we're getting into the home stretch, there's so little moments of like funny moments while they're in the villa kind of walking around. They're just focusing on each individual couple, which is fine to an extent, but you need to have some fun moments.

You also need to have some weird moments. You want to have some testing of connections. Even as late in the game as we are, you still want to see a lot of that. And I feel like we're not doing that. We haven't been doing that. It's basically just been, all right,

we've got a lot of people in the villa. We've got a fallout happening from CASA. Let's just see how this plays out. And then we'll throw a movie night at them and see how that plays out. But when those things don't work, you just get a stale product at that point. So I'm worried that that's what we're going into this week. I imagine they've got another wrinkle.

They've got another thing up their sleeve that they can just kind of pass out and see what happens. But yeah, I was sad to see Corbyn go at the end. That's kind of my takeaway from Sunday night's episode is as fun as the karaoke was. They weren't going to get saved. It just wasn't going to happen. No, I wish they did, man. I love Corbin. I think he was probably my favorite Islander this season.

And I don't know. he's going to do fine also. I'm sure he's going to get a million deals. He's smoking hot and he's funny. So he's going to be just fine. There is rumors now. They should give him a Liberty Mutual and make him the Liberty Bivity Bivity guy. That's so funny.

I love that idea. But the one thing I will say, there are rumors now floating. And obviously we know that Parmita and Corbyn had followed each other or something or had talked once on Instagram. Now it's coming out that they might have actually really known each other. So that's another thing. which at this juncture, they're off the show, so I don't really care. But, yeah, I think I was sad to see Corbyn go.

Dylan is a wiener. And I actually am proud of Anaya for standing up to Casey in that moment. I thought that was a good move and respect again to Anaya for going up to Casey after the fact and squashing it. And I don't think she needed to apologize. I thought she was well within her right to get up. He stood up first. but I thought that took a lot of strength to go over there and kind of simmer it down. That's where I don't mind having a peaceful villa.

But at the same time, it would have been fun post-movie night for just absolute mayhem. And then you could get away with a late season bombshell or two. It's just fucking chaos. And it's like, boop, boop, we got two more. Uh-oh. And see what happens there. The other big problem that comes from all of this at the end of karaoke, we kind of reveal who are the least favorite couples.

And I do really think McKenzie and Dylan would have been in the bottom three or bottom two or whatever it would have ended up being. But throwing Zach and Kada in there. While I do agree and we doing this podcast for two years, America gets the vote wrong every single time. They got this one right because

it does show, hey, Kada, we like you, but we don't like Zach. And it would at least throw that little bit of doubt in there. Now the problem is you get it right finally after movie night. So we're not going to have that scene when we watch tonight or when yeah i'm not going to watch it today because the USA's playing but when we watch that scene you're not going to get the questioning you're not going to get

the what are they seeing that i'm not seeing am i doing something wrong it's not me doing anything wrong and then you get the girls kind of like huddling up behind gaita like well no you're right you didn't do anything weird you're not moving weird it must be Zach then you get the question things and then you can throw a bombshell in there that's usually how it should go but again this late in the season we already had movie night so what what more could i be seeing it's just like, oh, maybe they don't like us. Yeah, exactly. And you're going to see Zach spiral because he comes to that conclusion himself, by the way.

He's like, it must be me. But I think he's just trying to pull sympathy. Little does you know, like, no, it really is just you. Yeah. You're just kind of a dud. You're a vanilla paste dud. That's what you are, sir. But let's get this some questions.

First one up here from Megano, Megano, Megano, should Costa people be allowed to watch the episodes before they enter? It seems to enable manipulation. Yeah. Absolutely. We talked about that last week on our last episode. I think they should be able to watch to a certain extent. I don't think that, no,

I think it's fine. I think it's totally fine. Casa people should be able to watch as much as they want. Yeah, I think it adds a different layer to the game because you can come in with a plan. That's fun. I love schemes.

Like schemes on this, there need to be more schemes on this show, personally. Let's see. There's a couple of, these, I'll lump these two together. Nat Erbs and J.L. Hugh, why is Kenzie getting more hate than insincere by the boys?

And then Nat Irves, do you think Islanders and people online are being too harsh on Kenzie? Yeah, look, did she move a little weird? Yeah. And like I said, my issue with her was only the fact that she had shit for other people. I think that she played the game 100% correct. It was just some things were not translated the right way, which again, it's Love Island. I don't think she's like, oh, my God, what an asshole. I just think it was like a moment she got caught.

But yeah, probably if people, I didn't know people are being mean online about it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, people are being mean online about everybody. That's just how being online works. Yeah, that's true.

From Jade Brianna, why are people voting for Mel sincere? He should be punished even if it means she goes home to. I agree. Absolutely. That's exactly what it should be. And they're voting for them. because they like Melanie. No one's out there voting because they like sincere.

They're voting because they like Melanie. And that's the problem that we run into pretty much every season with us. Yeah, I wish that we could hold him accountable. And yes, it would mean losing Melanie, but I think it would hit a lot harder. I was shocked that they weren't at least in the bottom three because he's such a douche. Like that was genuinely surprising. And yeah, we're team Melanie here.

But if she's got to go to prove a point with him, like I would have, I would have understood, I would have been happy to see him go. So yeah. Yeah. I agree with that. From, I'm going to do this one real quick. From Pugia out of Sarah Patel, I'm bored. I get that.

I understand. There's not enough going on right now. And hopefully they can figure something out. But I feel like we were in the same position last year. There were still a few really good moments at the end because you can really see that some of the couples are just together because they want to be on the show. And you'll start to see the cracks in the fault. but that might not be enough to really give us entertainment this next week.

It might just be more of the same. From Katrina, as guys, can you tell if Dylan's tears over Kenzie? We're real. The internet thinks they're fake. There's speculation that he's an actor. Yeah.

I don't know if they're real. I don't, I think he's playing it up for the camera, but at the same time, let's say he's not an actor. He's just fucking weird. He's a weird guy. Like, he goes in the photo booth.

He's like Patrick Bateman. like looking himself in the mirror and shit like abs are abbing like I don't like you man you gotta give me the hebe-jeebies so I don't know if they're real I think that they're played up I think he's yeah they're definitely played up everything is played up with him

and coming from a sensitive guy myself this man needs to get it together yeah no he absolutely unbelievable yeah he just like cries and everything The crying was I think it's a manipulation honestly. I think he's playing victim and he's just trying to get Kenzie to feel bad. So she'll stay with them.

I think that's really all it is. I'll do two more here because I see them from unless you have another one. But Jamie Gibbs did Corbyn fix the quote unquote AI uses too much water crisis when he cried? Yes, he delivered some water back to the earth. That's what we love to see. That's why Steele loves Corbyn, even though he is definitely AI. And from Josie Tiber, let's end it and crowned Trinity and Bryce already.

All the other couples suck. I do think that Trinity and Bryce can be a real couple. I think it's okay. Again, the boyfriend girlfriend thing kind of irked me and gave me the ick. But I think that obviously they're going to win. I do think it's okay. I'm just disappointed at the lack of like sincere and Melanie might be a real-ish couple. No one else in that show.

Like you can't convince me. I'm going to find myself in the same position I found last year. but you can't convince me that a year from now, most of these couples are going to be together. Shooter can belt out some solid karaoke. I was the lead in Mamma, and footloose. I was Willard Hewitt. So I was like a second lead in that. So I've done musicals. I don't know if I can sing. I can carry a tune-ish, I think.

It's better than some of these people. I can cut up a rug with the best of them. That I know. But anyways, I don't know. I don't know what happens this week. I don't know if something happens that launches this show into a different level. I don't think that's going to happen. And I think that we now have.

enough material over the past two seasons because three years ago was like absolutely massive and it changed the landscape of Love Island and everybody really bought in. And then you had last season, which a lot of people said didn't hit quite as hard. A lot of people didn't like it. Now you have this, which is kind of just like, blah. So I think you take these three seasons and kind of rethink how we're going to approach the show, get a better strategy as far as like when bombshell is going to. in movie night challenges activities like we need to you need to figure out a way to get us to buy into

these couples more because we didn't yeah there there was a like season six was very very successful not only because the cast was really good but the structure was great movie night came at the right time the bombshells came at the right time that's all they have to do it's actually pretty simple just keep an eye on how the couples are going have a good bombshell here and there just give us a bombshell a week on average. I think a bombshell a week would be fine and then have Kasa at the right time and have movie night at the right time. Like that's all you have to do.

They overcomplicate these things because they try to intervene too quickly. I agree. And I don't think anybody watching would ever say, uh, too many bombshells. I don't see that ever happening. No. No.

I mean, they stay what one night? I mean, they have enough beds to make sure that everybody sleeps okay. So they have more than enough time, more than enough space to make sure that they can have a bombshell every, every week, at least. Ooh, is this too many people? What if you did the entire season, you had two houses, you had Casa and Villa,

and you don't know who's in which, and then you randomly swap people? Is that too many people? That's too many people. Yeah. Yeah. Then we're going back to last year where there were like 18 people in the house at one time. Yeah. But we're trying.

See, I'm over here trying. Try to figure out a way through. It's all you can. We'll see how the season wraps up. I'm curious about a few things. And hopefully next season we can get obsessed again. Yeah, for sure. That's all I got.
