Bros & Shows - Luke Sucks & Some Cracks in the Plot Armor (The Valley Full Recap S3E17)

Episode Date: July 24, 2026

What's up bros? We're almost there everyone (+ 3 reunion episodes of course). While some blind items have us excited at the potential cancellation of this stupid show, we actually do some pretty good ...mental gymnastics to realize there could be some semblance of a show in here somewhere if you get rid of the worst losers on the cast. We won't hold out any hope there of course but you get what we're saying. Jeremiah sucks too while we're at it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:00 Gregus believes in the art of living in choosing the pleasurable over the practical. It's why we craft our premium vodka in France using pure spring water from Gensack. And why you hear the celebratory pub of our quirk, reminding us to make every martini cocktail count. So go on and make every moment count because there's no better time than now. Starting point is 00:00:42 As you can see by my generic ocean ensemble behind me, I'm on vacation, and I'm trying to enjoy myself. And we had a wonderful day yesterday. And I had to end my day. My kids are sleeping, wife's asleep. We're at the boardwalk. It was beautiful. that I have to watch this fucking show at 11.30 p.m. to keep up with this stupid shit.
Starting point is 00:01:05 And watch Luke do whatever it is Luke is doing. Okay, Jesse and Michelle was nice, I guess. But, like, that's my life right now. That's my life. Is Luke worse than Danny, by the way? He's getting there. He's starting to get there. Yeah, he's really getting there.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Please tell me there is a sign somewhere that just says beach. I need to know. Maybe not in that room, but somewhere. There is a sign that says beach. I got one behind the laptop that says, if you want to know how much you are loved, count all the waves in the sea. Close. I'm pretty close.
Starting point is 00:01:41 There's got to be a beach or life's a beach somewhere without a doubt. Yeah. Farmhouse meets Beach House is my favorite genre. I can't get enough of that. I just like these prints. Like where do you get this just print of two beach chairs and two surfboards? Jetty images. Oh, wait. We got one.
Starting point is 00:01:59 We got one. Life is just beachy. There we go. That's what I'm looking for. That's the good vibe that I needed. There's another good vibe that I'll talk about on the other side of the break that I've got an extra pep in my step. Let's just say that. I like that.
Starting point is 00:02:13 As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm karma. And yes. I am a lot.
Starting point is 00:02:30 BROV Bros. Good morning, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros. Your favorite podcast from The Bros. For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I'm your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only. Mr. Goots. What's up, dude? I want to start today's show by making a declaration because there are rumors that started
Starting point is 00:02:55 with blind items. I know. This show not being renewed and ending up. being canceled due to what's going to happen at the end of the season where we get jacks back in there. If and when that is true, I will be the biggest du maus stand of all time. I will believe every blind item that comes out, it'll be a huge flip because that's how much that means to me.
Starting point is 00:03:18 This shit means something to me. If the valley is getting canceled, I will be the happiest person on the planet. I don't have to deal with this anymore. I don't have to talk about it. I will never reference it. I will act like it never happens. That's what I'm hoping. Now, there is another funny piece of this that I believe I need to say out loud for everybody to hear.
Starting point is 00:03:38 I was right. Nicolandria, fake the whole time. I was right. Oh, wait, what happened? Oh, dude, they broke up and now there's rumors that they were never actually together and that she's been talking to Travis Scott for about six to eight months and they actually weren't dating and they just did everything for the show. And now people are trying to draw parallels to Carl and Anaya. The whole thing's a mess.
Starting point is 00:03:59 But it is coming through. And a lot of people are talking about the fact that they were never actually dating. And there's no footage of them actually showing up at dates and doing anything that people that were the couple were doing. The whole thing was a sham. And I believe everybody needs to come back and apologize to me because I've been right the entire time. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I need to corroborate. Yeah, to corroborate this. They do whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Mm-hmm. Yeah, break up. Former co-star Ace insinuated on social media that Nick admitted a lack of true romantic spark with the land. You're feeling that talk to the pair was strategic. Supporters note that staying together integrating families and handling intense public scrutiny for a year after the show. Right. No, that wasn't. I mean, I can find that they were longer together. This is, this is Dubois part two for me. So this was getting me started. Now, if the Valley ends up being canceled. I will never not believe Dumois again just because out of loyal.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I'll just be the most loyal, Dumois fan. But yeah, so there's all of that. And then apparently at some point, Landria's team reached out and said, you better get your lawyers ready. And Dumas said, oh, yeah,
Starting point is 00:05:11 I'll give you the email. So they are very confident the whole thing was a shame. I'm happy. This is just a very good morning for me, very good morning for shooter. You know, obviously we have to talk about the valley, which whatever, we're almost there. I heard the words that I needed to hear at the end of this episode.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I do know there's going to be, well, I guess there's a three-part. So wait, hold on. Now I'm confused. There's supposed to be a three-part reunion. Yeah. But we're also supposed to be getting Jacks and his publicist at some point. Is that going to get shoehorned in? Is it going to get shoehorned into the next episode for like five minutes?
Starting point is 00:05:46 It's going to be like when we got the interview. Who was interviewed that one time? Oh, Raquel. And we were like, oh, my God. He's interviewing Raquel. And it was like five minutes at the end of the third. Oh, you think it's going to be Andy sitting down with Jackson, Lori? No, I'm just saying where they just tagged it on to the end.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And it's like, it gave us nothing but like four minutes of actual footage. It's going to be one of those where it's like, oh, and here they are. And it's like, oh, who fucking cares about this? Why are we giving Jacks Taylor? You know what this is? This is Jeremiah going, oh, my God, I can't believe this show's failing. I can't believe all my shows suck. That's like, when do you wake up, dude, it would be like, oh,
Starting point is 00:06:24 wow, I just suck at this. My name's Jeremiah and I'm a piece of shit. But this is his Hail Mary. This is his break glass in case of emergency. Like, oh, people don't like the show. Let's throw Jack's Taylor into the mix. And it makes total sense because his thought process sucks balls. But this is so Jeremiah coded of, I can fix this.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Let's throw in another toxic dude. That should take care of it. It always works. Yeah, that kind of makes sense. I know last week we had asked our audience to reach out to us let us know why they liked the valley i know we got honest i appreciate it i appreciate you guys yeah i'll read a few right now but i'm gonna do it anonymously because i don't i don't want you guys to to be out there as valley lovers um i like the valley because i can relate to the
Starting point is 00:07:11 post part of mamas my fave on there is tom zach and michel and that's that's a problem in itself um i totally get why you guys don't like it though love that you keep covering it for us so there's a reason right there. Another person said, I find it hard to believe that the 400 to 500K people watching the Valley are live when most people probably 45 and younger don't watch live TV anymore. Yeah, maybe those numbers are pumped up. I'm listening to your Valley Recap and I'm surprised at how much you guys hate the show. I'm not reading the rest of that. Yeah. I'm just not. I'm cutting that one off. I don't need to hear a spiel. That's the thing is we said, we said, why do you like the show. Don't try to tell us why we should like that. I'm not listening to you.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Yeah. Do you know us? Have you been listening to us a long time? Like what makes you think that we're going to listen to like why you think we should like this show? I mean, we get enough people reaching. I saw one the other day that was like, you guys really should cover McBee Dynasty. I know you'll hate it, but I would love to hear your takes on it. The things I've heard about that show, I would rather, I would rather just like roll up a bunch of sandpaper and show. I know, in my mouth. Like, that's what I'd rather do than watch McBee Dynasty. That sounds like a horrible show. I heard McVee Dynasty seem super contrived and fake. Um, no. Okay. I heard it's just full of like domestic violence and stuff. I was going to say, and apparently the dude is like such a piece
Starting point is 00:08:36 of shit. Like we don't like to, we don't like to platform people like that. So now I know, probably not. But yeah, dude, we've gotten, let me do this real quick. We didn't have done this in a while because we got some people in the Apple reviews that are just being dickheads. So if you like us, I just checked for the first time in like months. But if you like us and you want to do us a solid, go ahead and leave us an Apple review, a little five-star guy and tell us why you like us. Because like this is what we have to deal with. People that are lobbying against Benji being able to get a visa easier and spouting off some
Starting point is 00:09:15 so like absolute bullshit garbage trash that they know nothing about in its regards to the visa thing so like if that's what you want to do and that's the hill you want to die on why are you listening to us anyway like go away
Starting point is 00:09:31 please anyway you're rooting against you watch it in this episode you see the damage this causes in real time and you're rooting for that like Jesus and I bet you have a fucking proverb in your bio, you asshole.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Jesus saves. Everyone love everyone. Unless you're different and then I hate you. Yeah. Just like Jesus said. Fuck off. Yeah. You're also personally, which this doesn't deserve one star because like I'm not doing anything. But you're personally failing young men by openly doing chew. I know.
Starting point is 00:10:06 I'll take that one. I'll wear that one. That's fine. You know what? I think it's three stars. Yeah. Three stars. And I'll give me that one.
Starting point is 00:10:14 I think it's the same. disgusting. I'm working on it. I really like this. So my, my favorite one so far is unbearable. Two fickle problem. Men judging the men and women of Bravo. They blow whichever way the wind blows for clicks and likes. No, we don't.
Starting point is 00:10:28 I don't think so. I didn't think that was us. I think clicks. Like we don't. Are we like, we don't even post like hot take. We don't have really. I know it's not our hot take are actually how we feel.
Starting point is 00:10:38 But like it's not like we're clipping it and sending it out to the mass. It's like, hey, check out this hot take. Danny is an ass. I believe he said this. That's not our thing. We just kind of like to chat about Bravo. I mean, look, look, if I get more time on my hands, I will do that. I will actively.
Starting point is 00:10:55 I grew up in the era of watching like Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless go back and forth with absolute garbage. I know how to do that. And I will rage bait everyone. Oh, if you want a garbage time talk, we can, yeah, absolutely. That's just not really what we do. Get, get shooter in a in a place with more time on his hands. And yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Oh, boy. You guys don't want that. You guys don't want that. I don't think you want that. No, no. You want to talk about the Valley, I guess, or something? I guess. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:21 So just the way this episode starts off is exactly what the Valley wants to be, could be. Like the Jesse Michelle scene is what the what the show should be. And I get like, yes, the Luke and Doty stuff is in itself. Obviously, Luke's an asshole, but it's, it's interesting enough. There's just so much other filler that's up. If you give me that. It's a totally different story because that would be like the main real
Starting point is 00:11:48 like oh shit adult stuff that people are saying like I relate to this. Like if that was the center focus of like the drama of the season that's a different season. Yeah, because it's relationships. Yeah, it's like a divorce going through two people struggling with the idea
Starting point is 00:12:04 and the concept of co-parenting while trying to be nice to each other, dealing with new significant others and dating and all those things like that makes sense to me for what the show was supposed to be. and that's probably, you know, where like in the city is going to go at some point. But then you just fill it in with like all the dandy stuff. And I think it's funny too because I had this thought.
Starting point is 00:12:22 If it and I'm not, I have absolutely no confidence in this. But if it plays out how it looks like it's going to play out where people are starting to kind of put it together, that Nia is doing a lot of things behind the scene. She's not this just innocent sweetheart who's dealing with a terrible husband. She's actually judging a lot of people and trying to whisper in people's ears. If it plays out how it should, everybody should have that realization and then go after Nia. and I want to see how that goes. Now, obviously, I want to see if Danny stands up for his wife because he probably won't,
Starting point is 00:12:48 he'll just stand up for himself. But if that goes the way it's supposed to, that would be an okay end of the season because then it's like, all right, cool, we're getting into some shit and we have some hope for the reunion. But now you're going to put in Jackson as publicist at the end of the episode. It's going to negate everything. It's going to negate any of the hard work that we finally got to. I'm just still pissed off that it took us 18 episodes to get to this point. But at least it wouldn't leave like a sour taste in my mouth.
Starting point is 00:13:13 if we get through all of that and it's kind of good, we're just going to immediately just flush it all away as soon as Jacks gets on the screen. Exactly. And I think that you saw, as you were saying, multiple times this episode where I'm like, I can fuck with this. Like Michelle selling gigantic houses in that completely fake buyer that she was talking to. Or did you think 7.5. How about 7.7.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Oh, no. Oh, shit. No, that was the fagest I've ever seen. But I'm okay with that. But like, that's fine. Yeah. There's multiple things this episode, you know, watching Lala, Brittany and Doty towards the end where like, Lala's right.
Starting point is 00:13:53 That was their old banter. Like that was kind of fun. Yeah. It's like, oh, yeah, this feels reminiscent of the VPR days. There's like a few things in this episode in particular where I'm like, this is, this show's fine. But then you bog it down with all of this dark, dark shit. And that's what you're trying to do. That's what you've made the center.
Starting point is 00:14:12 focus of the show. I agree with all the people out there that are like, what's fun about the valley is it's people that are close to our age going through life. I'm with you. But I want to see that. I want to see them going through life. I want to see ups and downs. I want to see happy shit along the way. I don't want to just keep throwing Danny against the wall hoping that he's going to stick. He's not. The one caveat to that is, and this is just based on what I see on social media, most people what they do when they're watching this, they watch the scenes. They watch Jesse and Michelle.
Starting point is 00:14:44 They watch Kristen and Luke. They watch Kristen and Lala at the end for some piece of it. They skip through a lot. Most people online, when you go searching the Valley, if you're in threads or if you're on Twitter, and you go through because that's how I just kind of like get the pulse of what's going on. And I also look for pictures so that we can put up questions
Starting point is 00:15:01 because I want to use a funny picture. And you guys are doing a great job, by the way, of not focusing on the picture. But the general mess is a lot. lot of the tweets, a lot of the threads posts are all, yeah, you know, I just can't deal with like the la-la scene, so I just skip through that. Or I can't deal with Danny and Nia talking, so I skip through them. We have to watch them and talk about it. So while there's, there are other components and I think it's just too far gone at this point. But if you listen to our earlier
Starting point is 00:15:26 episodes, maybe even season two, you'll hear there was some hope where we're saying, like, all right, this is okay, this is okay. There were obviously some very apparent shortfalls in the first season, but we thought they would clean it up and they didn't. It actually got worse. But in season two, we were probably still a little hopeful in saying there's a lot here that we can focus on that's way better than what we are focusing on. They just need to do that. By the time we get halfway through season three, we're just done.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Like, the show is dead because they won't stop focusing on the shit that doesn't matter and the shit that's making the show problematic and dark and leaning into all of that. It's just stupid. It's not even like I'm so upset because I have to watch the dark things. I don't give a fuck what these people are doing. They have no impact on my life. It's just that it's boring. It's like gimmicky at this point.
Starting point is 00:16:14 And it's stupid. Like do a real show. If you want to show people's real lives, focus more on Jesse and Michelle. Focus more on Kristen and Luke. Like yes, we're going to hate Luke. But it is interesting to watch them.
Starting point is 00:16:24 And then you go over to Danny and Nia. We know what they're doing. It's like, okay, I don't want to do this. And even some scenes with like, la la la's had obviously a pretty good season. But there's sometimes where it's like,
Starting point is 00:16:33 all right, there's Lala. There's Lauren from Utah. She's doing that. Like, it's just, there's too much going on at one point that they're not focusing on the right things. No, I agree with that. But we'll jump in. And we start out, like I said, with Michelle and that's so fucking funny.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Yeah, 7.8. Well, what do you think about 7.6? Yeah. I think we should start 7.5. Yeah. Okay. Put it in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:56 Let's do it. Take it all the way. Go to the distance. Let's wait for like a fake contract to pop up. You want to side right here? That's not a word. Go ahead and sign right here and the house is yours. But anyway.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Check for that. Cool. She just pulls out her wallet and here you go. It's what I want like an old fashioned checkbook like with an open. Write down 7.7. How many zeros are in that one? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:22 I got it. Oh my God. It was great. But and that's my point. Like those scenes are fun when it's a show that I don't hate. It's like, oh, this is stupid, but in a good way. But anyway, we get to Benji and Zach. This is what I was talking about in the intro.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Benji's talking about their future, right? And like his inability to start his life because of this visa shit. And that's my point. And that's, of course, when I see this last night that I see that dumbass review. Oh, yeah. I would read that review. Go for it. I have it right here.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Okay. All right. Stop with your political rhetoric. Perhaps it costs $100,000 to get into our country because of the past administration that allow 10 million illegals in. Why not talk about that problem that's cost? Because it's not a political show. I mean, we're not even, we could do that if you guys want to.
Starting point is 00:18:12 No, no one wants us to do that. I have like, yeah, it's just we're talking about Benji. That's all we're talking. We're not, we're not like spreading it out to a bunch of other people. I don't fucking know how any of that works. And I don't really care. It's a different thing for a different person. I do.
Starting point is 00:18:28 And I'm still not getting into it here. Correct. But Benji is on the show. And he seems like a sweet guy. And when you have a scene where Zach and Benji, you're trying to figure it out. And this conversation was all over the place. I do genuinely think that this was a very real and authentic conversation because when you're going through something insane where you don't really know what's going to happen,
Starting point is 00:18:49 you do start just scrambling and throwing a lot of things at the wall. I mean, they're talking about marriage. They're talking about kids. It's a deal breaker if Zach doesn't want to have kids, which they'll figure out. I mean, they're in a relationship. It's just that they have this big dark cloud hanging over them, which is, hey, Benji, can you get into the country and stay here? Can you get citizenship?
Starting point is 00:19:06 That's what they're trying to figure out. So when it comes down to it, we're just analyzing the scene and looking at it. And we're like, well, yeah, I mean, it seems really fucking difficult for a guy who's doing everything the right way to get in. That doesn't really make a ton of sense to me. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:19:21 And it's fucking stupid. And like, that's just to look at a human being going through it. And then have a comment about the situation that's so stupid, that's so vague, that's so uneducated, it frustrates the shit out of me. Especially when now, because all of the brightest minds from around the world are no longer coming to this country as a result of this.
Starting point is 00:19:45 All we said was, all we said was, damn, that sucks. Like, I really hope they figure it out. And that's the comment. Yeah. We didn't go into it. Like, that's just dumb. And like, I hate people that hate people. I think it's so fucking stupid.
Starting point is 00:20:02 And I think that, again, I guarantee that that miserable woman has a proverb or a Bible quote in her fucking bio. And then you want to stay that kind of shit. It's just it drives me up a wall. But anyway, Danny and Nia, God damn it. And I have to go to this scene. Like, where's daddy's alley? What are we doing, bro? Like, are you fucking kidding?
Starting point is 00:20:24 Like, you just got a vasectomy. Why are you saying that to your child? I don't know. I would call that out if it was anybody. Not just Danny. Like, that's not, dude. This is terrible on both sides, though. Because, again, we have to start off with Danny hanging out with his kid.
Starting point is 00:20:38 He's like, where's daddy's alley? Weird. Weird. Genuinely weird. But then Nia walks in and they apparently hadn't talked, which I don't fucking believe. But they have to start off with the, hello, my love. Like, we're really getting, it's actually worse than Doreet and P.K. Like, the pet names are just getting too much.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Daniel and my love are just killing me at this point. But when Nia starts talking, Oh, it was just a breath of fresh air going and hanging out with those women who actually support other women and care about what they're going through. They don't fucking know you. All they know you about is like, oh, yeah, you were on, you were a pageant queen. You were Miss Universe or Miss USA, whatever the hell you were. That's cool. Give me some tips and tricks.
Starting point is 00:21:22 They're not asking you about your life. They're not asking you about Santa Clarita. They're not asking you about your friends uplifting you. But all I got from this conversation is, How do I figure out a way to make this about everybody else? Oh, I got it. I was helping these young women getting through their pageant. They were really supportive to each other.
Starting point is 00:21:40 They were supportive to me. And it just made me think like, wow, these people aren't my friends. They don't support me. What are you talking about? It's so like, I just can't with these two. Like every scene that they come on where it's just the two of them and there's no other variable and their kids don't really count. There's no variable to disrupt their.
Starting point is 00:22:00 conversation. It's just fucking rehearsed. Like, you can't tell me that she didn't call him from the car. And it was like, hey, this is what we're going to talk about. First, you're going to point at your awry. And then we're going to talk about that for like 30 seconds. You're going to make it like it's a huge deal. And it was a big surgery and you're really going through. And then I'm, yeah, and then I'm going to talk about women supporting women, just to say that Janet doesn't support me and all of the other women that are questioning things.
Starting point is 00:22:23 And let's make this about Lala. Like, it's just, it's so stupid. I can't deal with them. It was just so played up. So scripted and so frustrating because, again, if we really want to break it down to nuts and bolts, a real friend will check you. A real friend will tell you when you're being an idiot. A real friend will have issues with how your husband is yelling at you and everybody around you.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Everyone at the pageant, like you said, you are a former Miss America. Of course, the young women, they're going to be like, oh, my God, help us. And of course, you should. And I'm sure it did feel good. to draw a comparison to you talking to strangers that made you feel good to your quote unquote real friends, like again, it just shows your inability to analyze the situation objectively and be like, huh, maybe something's going on here. Maybe we're the problem because everyone keeps saying it. And I seem to have lost all of my friends from the valley. And we used to be pretty close.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Hmm, what could it be? What could have happened over the past two years that would have caused us all of these rifts in our friendship. He's about 5-2, and he talks a lot of shit. That start there and see what you come up with. But yeah, it was just dumb, dude. Like, I am so sick of them. Stop faking it. Like, you're completely right.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Like, they have these conversations beforehand. They set these scenes up. They go into these scenes. And then we get this shit. It's like, all right, cool, fun day. We've heard, we've heard stories from other shows where people are proven to or suspected of rehearsing scenes, trying to just push something out there
Starting point is 00:24:05 and make things happen without anyone's go ahead. And usually what happens is the production team or the producer, the main producer, will step in and say, okay, we're not giving you scenes anymore. We're going to have scenes with you and the rest of the group so that you are actually forced to have real conversations instead of this. All we've really gotten from the two of them, like, yeah, we get a little clip in later where they're hanging out with Duke and Lowe.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Duke and Lodi, holy shit. Duke and Lodi. Luke, you know what? Fuck it. Duke and Lodi, that's who they are now. Kristen pissed me off too. She goes, I'll watch Robbins Lab and she's like, you know, watching it back, I just, I can't,
Starting point is 00:24:39 I can't really condone the things that, shut up. Shut. Can't condone what? What Danny has done this season, the things that Danny has done. Now you're going to fucking back at all. Oh, my God. And then she goes on threads immediately and she's like, I want everybody to know, we don't watch these episodes until they come out.
Starting point is 00:24:53 That's bullshit. You, you did the reunion already. Like the reunion's done. You had to watch it. Like, it's ridiculous. Anyway, but yeah. So I think that what they would do and what a production team should do is say, fuck this.
Starting point is 00:25:08 We're not spending 10 minutes on the two of you talking and unpacking the Mexico trip. We're going to have you sit down at least with Kristen and Luke and say, hey, this is what we think about it. And then you at least have like two. Conversation with Lala. Yeah. I just, yeah, I can't deal with them anymore. Like in other situations, we would have the.
Starting point is 00:25:27 the the I guess you want to frame it from a show structure like the antagonist and the protagonist would sit down and in this case I would say that la la is the protagonist I suppose like you force this this confrontation at some point where it's like all right these three sit down and we've been building up for it because we have la la la having these she seems to be that person this season she's the sit down let's hammer this out person this season and she's actually done a pretty good job to her credit again I can't believe how much we've praised all this season it's very She still annoys me. I have to get that on the record. She still does annoy me and a lot of the things that she does are very obvious what she's trying to do. But someone has to do the things that she's doing. The way she goes about it is a very la-la way. She's doing her job. Like, I'm not going to get mad at her for doing her job, but I'm not going to sit here and say, oh, I like la-la all of a sudden.
Starting point is 00:26:16 It's not true. She's doing her job. We have a house of shit and there's one little pearl in there. It's like, okay, we'll take the pearl. Yeah, we'll take it. But anyway, Jess and her-sheel. Yeah, that was, it just paints a picture of like a house of shit. There's just like a pearl in it.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Yeah, that's, yeah, that's exactly what I just said. I know, but like, I literally pictured that. It will say she's more like, like, uh, like copper wire in there. It's like, oh, the copper wire is worth something if I take it to a scrapyard. But, you know, shit is worth nothing. Yeah, no, poop is not worth anything, unfortunately. Yeah. But anyway.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Oh, dude, the one guy that like always. comments on our YouTube the other day. I guess we said shit a lot in the Atlanta episode. He's like, shit, shit, shit, shit. Dude. Starting point is 00:29:37 But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time. And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the decisions that the characters make. Starting point is 00:30:14 See what everybody's talking about and join us in the dark. Anyway, Jesse and Michelle, like again, we talked about it earlier. This scene shows you what this show could be. Right. And this has been an ongoing thing. We've watched this since season one. We saw the demise of this relationship. We saw the tumultuousness of it all last season, building to this moment.
Starting point is 00:30:41 And then we get this moment. And it really is a full circle thing where it's like, oh, wow, they are actually able to come together. They have Isabella together. So they want to make this cordial. And I think they actually might be friends. They're going to have their ups and downs without a doubt because they butt heads. But this was a beautiful scene. I loved this scene, actually.
Starting point is 00:31:00 I thought this was like the best scene of the season, but that it frustrated me because I'm like, why can we not take this and extrapolate it across the season? Across the cast. It's like, this is the focus.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Like, you took us through a journey with this couple. And then you gave us the payoff. Like, that's all it is. Give us the same thing with Luke and Doty, which they are. But when you try to force in something like a Danny and Nia that derails every conversation that takes over every conversation. We now don't get to invest as much in stuff like this where it's like, okay, we can build up these storylines all season long.
Starting point is 00:31:41 You can invest in these people all season long and then you get a payoff at the end of the season. Instead, it's like, oh yeah, that's happening. Oh, yeah, that's happening because every single time we start to dive into something, you throw Danny and you at us. It's like, no, you have captured in this scene. It seems a microcosm for what we could do with the Valley and how this show could be good. But they're not going to focus on this. They're going to focus on Danny and Nia.
Starting point is 00:32:09 That's where you missed the mark. Yeah, this is exactly what it was. When the show first came out, it was supposed to, I still make fun of it. People trying to adult, and they're like 40 years old. It's like, Jesus, really? Like the bar is so low. It's never been lower. It should be people navigating tough relationships, tough marriage.
Starting point is 00:32:27 is divorce marriage kids all of those things that's what the show was supposed to be and they leaned so heavily into well none of these people ever really grew up so um yeah let's just see how that goes we'll figure it out we'll throw people out it's just yeah this this is what the show should be because this was genuinely a nice seat like this was it had everything and like you said full circle moment jesse's able to make a jab about the honey with uh with michel's ex and she takes it well. She's like, all right, get it all out. Like, this is a normal relationship. This is a normal. All right, we're figuring it out for the sake of our child. We're figuring it out for the sake of the fact that we're going to have to be around each other because of this fucking show. So let's just
Starting point is 00:33:09 be cordial and be able to do this. And we like each other. And then they go to their confessions and they're like, yeah, you know, this makes me remember the good times in the beginning of our relationship. We never got into fights. We were joking around all the time. We were silly. We were goofy. We're able to do that again. And it's, it just does it in a good friend way. And then you have Michelle getting choked up at the end of it, not just because it's not the graduation goggles of like, oh my God, I can't believe this is over. Like, am I doing the wrong thing or anything? It's just been a long, arduous process with the weird little throw-in of, hey, you have
Starting point is 00:33:39 to film a fucking show together. So you're going to be around each other a lot. It's a lot on Michelle. It's probably a lot on Jesse, but he's going to handle it a lot differently and make jokes and make comments. But for Michelle, this is like bittersweet, happy, sad, whatever you want to call it. And that's real. That's normal.
Starting point is 00:33:53 That's what we want to see. That's not something that's being full. forced on us or pushed or rehearsed. Like the two of them are not sitting down and saying like, all right, we're going to have our final divorce signing papers seen. How are we going to handle this? Like, no,
Starting point is 00:34:05 they just came in and they were themselves. And that's what we want. Exactly. And it was lovely. And I hope that they do have a long and lovely friendship. And I hope that they're able to co-parent really well together this entire time. And it's just, again, like I said, and I won't beat a dead horse.
Starting point is 00:34:22 But it's like, this is what we could have. This would be a good show. This is something I would have. invest in. But we get to Lala, Michelle, Kiana, and Schwartz on a little booze cruise, and, you know, we're celebrating the divorce is official, and then Danny comes up as he does in everything. Schwartz, I'm glad, is taking that moment that we saw where Luke was fucking dismissive and Danny was dismissive of what Janet had gone through in the past. Now, what ends up happening as a result of this whole thing,
Starting point is 00:34:55 is we're going to see Doty put her foot in her mouth with it later. But now that Lala has this, she hears this, this is already something she's discussed with Janet. As she says with Janet, in regards to Janet, it is not our job to analyze the validity of this claim. It is not our job to question why she's not sharing more. It's your job to sit there, acknowledge what Janet said, and empathize with her and worked through this as her friends.
Starting point is 00:35:27 But we have now set up this system in this show where because people hate Janet so much, there's no emotion behind this. And you're looking at it from, oh, she's wrong standpoint. It's like two things can be true. And she acknowledges. Like she has said, like, once this is why I was so animated about this situation. And she even says this episode,
Starting point is 00:35:50 I said things I shouldn't have. She's acknowledging that he oversaw. stepped with the word choice. But where it's coming from is a valid place and within her right to feel that way. And now she's expressing, this is why it came out the way it did because of what I went through. And we have people in the show questioning that. We have people in the comments section questioning that. Take a look in the mirror. Like, you really want to die on that hill because I'm not going to fucking die on that hill. I'm not going to sit here and talk about it in a way that's not empathetic to what Janet went through or giving her credit to have the balls to share
Starting point is 00:36:22 it on TV. And this is the response. This was, again, it's Lala and Schwartz. And Michelle's been the all-star of the season. And I don't want to take away from that. That's not like everybody else sucks. It's not the Lala reference that I made earlier with the house of shit.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Michelle's actually great. Michelle has been great. But when you have a Lala and a Schwartz sitting down and it's the most logical conversation that we've seen all season, there's a big problem there. There's a massive problem there. All they're doing is using logic. Like all they're doing is being normal people in discussing this. Like, hey, yeah, when a woman brings that up, that should just be the end of the conversation.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Like, okay, I didn't know that. Didn't know you felt that way. Had no idea. Sorry. We're going to leave it here. We're not going to discuss any further. Lala says that. And when Schwartz is like, yeah, I just feel like when we were sitting down just the guys and Jesse brought it up to everybody.
Starting point is 00:37:15 I don't know. You would think that they'd be like a little bit more sympathetic. You would think that maybe they'd be like, all right, yeah. I didn't know that. I understand now. Okay. Like now we see where she's coming from. And instead,
Starting point is 00:37:26 it just seemed like Luke and Danny, it was a big problem for that. That's a problem. If Schwartz is sitting there doing that. And I know Lala also references it too. If we have Schwartz sitting there like, ah, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:37:37 but he's on the right side of history. That doesn't make any sense. That's not the person that you turn to for the most logical answer, but that's what this show has turned into. So when it's the three of them, like if you told me in the beginning of the season, that there was going to be a scene late in the season where it's Schwartz and Lala,
Starting point is 00:37:51 centric and they're actually discussing what's going on in a normal way and they're the only ones that seemingly have a normal take on all of this that would be a big problem it is a big problem but at least somebody did it like that's kind of where i am right now yeah and i mean again that sentence la la and schwartz are our voice of reason at the end of the season yeah never in a million years that did we think we would be sitting here discussing those to making like complete sense and i think that that is is just again, looking at this show as a whole, where the problems lie.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Lala and Schwartz are taking the role of leading us, the audience. They are supposed to be people that were like, oh, Schwartz is irrelevant, and Lala pisses us off. And now we're looking to them to carry this show. Aye, yeah, yeah. Well, that's good to, like, what could have been a redemption scene or a start of a redemption scene for Luke, And you would think that with a third party there to lead him down this path, he wouldn't have stuck his foot in his mouth so bad.
Starting point is 00:38:57 But that just shows you. Like you said last week that you think that we just pegged Luke wrong from the beginning. He's actually just a piece of shit. Yeah. It's kind of hard to dispute that after watching this scene because they're breaking down everything that's going on between the two of them. And obviously there's a lot to talk about. And I appreciate that Doty's doing it from a stance of like, I know what I need to work on. I'm trying to work on it.
Starting point is 00:39:20 But the root kind of comes out here, which I thought was really interesting. It's like, all right, good, bad, or indifferent. This is who Doty is when she's pregnant. And she has now said, I'm trying to change that person. So, like, she has to go into pregnancy, into postpartum, and try and alter who she is, which I commend her for for trying to be a better partner to Luke. but at the same time it's like okay so what i'm getting from this scene is that luke needs more support when doty's pregnant are we really like really dude and then for him to say i hadn't met
Starting point is 00:39:59 pregnant christian yet it's like no when you propose you're saying in sickness and in health mental and physical like stop talking and i said that last week they just don't talk dude every time you talk it gets worse you're with a therapist now and even though the therapist was like, who-hoo, that was a big thing to say. Yeah. Look, I actually disagree. I think he should keep talking because I think we're now, everybody's seeing Luke for who he is, including Kristen.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Keep telling us your thoughts. We need to figure it out. I said it last week, Kristen should not marry him. He fucking sucks. But throwing, I'm not even going to do the normal spiel. You know, how we feel about therapists on these shows. Why? But she just seemed nervous.
Starting point is 00:40:43 She, she, look, I'd be fucking nervous, too. But the way. he's talking and this was good because we have an unbiased, a professional, quote unquote, third party who's going to sit there and listen to the way that he talks. And when he says that and then tries to backtrack a little bit where he's like, oh, you know, I'm sure that came out like a lot worse. It probably landed a lot harder than I wanted it to. You know that I didn't mean that. That's what he's been doing. That's what he's been doing for two years now since before Christom was even pregnant. Since before they were even engaged. He says weird shit and then he's like,
Starting point is 00:41:14 ah yeah i didn't really think that went through i i didn't really mean it and we saw it on the boat a few episodes ago where he said something really mean and then just got up and walked away he's like i can't drunk like you're not drunk yeah no you're not well i would hope not that that would you know what we don't know we don't know if he's drunk at therapy he might be but the way he's talking it's like okay usually what happens is they have a big blow up like luke'll end up saying something completely ass backward then somewhat walk it back and then just kind of escape the conversation and then we see the two of them the next day and they're having a good conversation. It's like, okay, I guess they kind of figured that out. But when he does this and
Starting point is 00:41:52 the therapist kind of holds them to it like, oh shit, like you just said something that was crazy. You can't take that back. That is what it is. Leave it there. That's a big difference. So now everybody can see Luke for who he is because that's not just I'm so frustrated. Like I feel like you don't really care about me and you don't care about my needs. When Kristen lays it all out, I tell you, hey, I don't want you to go fishing or I tell you to go fishing but you come back and you're hammered or I tell you to go out with your friends and then yeah I understand like sometimes I'll be like hey go out with your friends and then come right back and say ah man I fucking hate him like I can't believe that he went out and he's he doesn't want anything to do with me he doesn't want to hang out
Starting point is 00:42:30 with me those are just internal monologue things that Kristen's going through and she's recognizing like yeah I think that's a little inconsistent and that's unfair to you he comes back with worse shit like she's trying to take accountability and saying I'm trying to regulate all of this. You're throwing even the therapist said. You throw a newborn into a relationship. It's like a hand grenade. It's going to go off.
Starting point is 00:42:48 You are sitting here with Kristen and the therapist who are speaking normally, speaking with logic and just trying to understand their own emotions and how things are going on. And then Luke steps in. He's like, I just feel like she doesn't fucking let me do anything that I want to do. I want to go out and like hang out with the boys and play pool and then come home at 3 a.m. and sleep on the couch. It's like, dude,
Starting point is 00:43:07 do you hear yourself talking? And then you don't feel loved. and you don't feel like you want, or Kristen wants you around. Like it's, it's insanity. And I want him to keep talking because the more he talks, the more you have a better idea of who he is as a person,
Starting point is 00:43:20 we didn't know what he was. He was an unknown commodity. He wasn't on reality TV before. He's not a good dude. He's a loser at his core. He's a dork for everything else. He's becoming friends with Danny. So it's just,
Starting point is 00:43:32 Kristen should just do away with him. He sucks. He literally says in this session, my mind has been, did I fuck up? Yep. Your child will see this someday, potentially. You just said on camera, did I fuck up having my kid? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:53 That's forever now. Your kid can see you say that about them. Like, how do you not think this shit through? Just stop talking. I agree with you. Yep. Keep talking. So we see who you are.
Starting point is 00:44:08 How do you say that with a straight face? And then he tries to walk it back like you said in real time or it's like, no, dude, you're sitting with a therapist now. You can't blame the booze. You can't blame being on a boat all day. Like, this is how you feel. And the therapist says as much like, no, this is, this is how you feel. You need to talk about how you actually feel.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Now we get to this point of peace and tranquility. Let's sit in this. Let's sit in this. It's like, this is not a good place to sit. This feels icky. and I this man is a menace and now we're seeing him for he actually is it's crazy the shit he says I'm like dude yeah this this was this was a terrible scene but again this was I'm just I'm ragging on Luke I'm not even ragging on the scene like I just need to like it's just differentiate between
Starting point is 00:44:55 this is this is okay this is like it sucks obviously but for the show and showing real relationship this is fine this is actually what you should be doing it's really just the other shit that really bothers us. But this, this kind of juxtaposed to Jesse and Michelle, it's like, okay, I see what we have here and what we can have. It sucks. It's not easy to watch. You don't want to watch this, but it's real. And it's, it's something that you kind of want to bring to your attention or whatever it might be through reality TV. There's just a lot of other shit that just gets thrown out there that doesn't make any sense. I actually have expected them in the middle of all this to start talking about Danny and Nea, because the two of them are obsessed with them.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. It was just, it was really hard to listen to the shit that you were saying, but I do agree. As far as for the show, these are the scenes that we want more of. You know, this is again, the Jesse and Michelle saga. It is, it's adding to the Doty and Luke stuff. Yeah. But I want to know more about these kinds of things. I want to see more of these kinds of scenes. So I agree. This is a Luke problem, not a scene problem. Yeah. But you get Britney and Cruz and Lala and her. They facetive all it. Janet arrives. And it is amazing, I will say, to see Cruz where he currently is, we saw him on camera,
Starting point is 00:46:16 nonverbal. We saw him on camera shying away from his father when his dad would come in to try to hug him. We've seen this kid go through a lot of shit to the point that we have discussed many times. I don't think that he should have been exposed to a lot of this. And I think that that's been kind of a common theme that people have discussed about this show. With that being said, to see him in a place where he's happy, he's verbal, he's jumping in Janet's arms. So he's not completely walled off anymore. To see him actually make progress is a beautiful thing.
Starting point is 00:46:49 And very, it's almost a relief where it's like, okay, hopefully reality TV didn't fuck this get up so much. And we're seeing him kind of come out the other side. And I'll give Britney credit. I'm not trying to drag her. You know, she has had this issue at the forefront that I do think she acknowledges where she misstepped along the way and all she's trying to do now is provide a safe space be the best mom she can and it's coming through the camera and i'm not this is in no way me taking shots of brittany i'm actually commending brittany yeah making crews her number one priority and you can see it working and i
Starting point is 00:47:20 think that that's awesome no it's it's it's very great to see i'll change one thing that you said sure it's not reality tv that had an impact on it it was jacks jacks like jacks not being there is such a huge relief it's such a such a huge factor and and I hope that Chris, or Kristen, I hope that Brittany can stay down that path of just keeping Jacks away. Like, I don't want this. And that's the other part of this when we talk about Jackson,
Starting point is 00:47:44 his fucking publicist coming back into the fold. You want him back on the screens. You really want to push him back into there to make the show work, quote, unquote. Think about the other ramifications. Now of a sudden, Brittany has to be around Jacks a lot more. Now, all of a sudden, Jacks might have to be around Cruz a lot more.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Like, the whole thing gets too fucked up. That's too far. So just keep them away. That's Jeremiah. You can watch this and be like, oh, wow, there's a big change here. It's not because all of a sudden Brittany was like, oh, I really need to focus on Cruz. She's been focusing on Cruz, but Jacks was taking away from all of that. Now you want to put it back in just for the sake of the show.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Like, it's just dirty. It's grimy. It's so grimy. But when they FaceTime, Lala, they're talking about the daddy stuff and this Chili's Happy Hour, which is a great idea, but also clearly a sponsored seat, but I'm okay with it because I love Chili's. Yeah. But Lala talks about finding out Doty's opinion on the Janet thing and how she responded to the Janet thing.
Starting point is 00:48:41 And that's really got her in a tizzy because of all people, she expected Doty to understand and empathize with Janet. And she makes a great claim. And I think this is 100% true about multiple people on this show. They're blinded by their hate for Janet. So they're incapable of seeing other perspectives or acknowledge. acknowledging that this is a valid statement coming from Janet, which is dirty and grimy and gross. But that sets us up for later.
Starting point is 00:49:10 But we do get to Chili's. And this is Janet-centric, Danny-centric, and Zach tries to bring up Danny to the table. And I think this is the problem. And this is something we've seen with Zach all season that we've been confused about because he usually is one of our barometers of normalcy. Where it's like he usually has a good head on his shoulders. And he seemingly has a blind spot for Danny and Nia. which multiple people seem to. I'm not really sure what that is.
Starting point is 00:49:35 I'm assuming it has something to do with their quote-unquote Christian values. And it's like, oh, they're like the all-American family. Look at how beautiful this couple is. They're beautiful kids. But peel back the onion. It's a disaster. But he's saying that Danny is acknowledging that the things he said were wrong. And we see the quick cut in the car with those two post vasectomy.
Starting point is 00:49:58 And he's like, 100%. I take full accountability for things. I'm a really good person. He didn't take accountability for anything there. He just said, I take accountability. He didn't acknowledge that, yeah, when I said, the Lala was fucked up, yeah, I went too far. Yeah, I have a tendency to do that.
Starting point is 00:50:13 And Zach's trying to play the card of like, he gets there. Like, he figures it out. It takes him a little while, but he figures it out. He's in his 40s. Yeah. Like, how much grace do we give this guy to figure it out when what he does is so fucking problematic?
Starting point is 00:50:28 It's not the first time that we've heard that conversation and not even about Danny. It always strikes me in a very funny way when we describe people on this show like that because of what you just said. They're almost 40 or they are 40. They're 42 years old. Why are we describing them like 18 years?
Starting point is 00:50:43 It's not funny. Like it's not like their charm of that wore off after like three episodes into the first season. It's like, oh, you guys don't know what the fuck you're doing. When we're talking about like emotional vulnerability, emotional intelligence, understanding what's going on, self-awareness, things like that,
Starting point is 00:51:00 we always talk about some of these people and when they talk about each other in the cast it's always they're figuring it out like they'll it just takes them a little while you know you just have to give them for the rest of us who live in the real world you don't give a fully grown adult time to figure things out
Starting point is 00:51:19 unless they bring up like oh I've got this traumatic experience whatever then it's like all right I'll be a little sensitive to those things going on in your life Danny doesn't have any of that shit Danny doesn't have any of that shit he's lived a charmed life and now people are calling him out because he's on reality TV and he's got shitty personalities that's what's going on it's not like a he gets it you just really have to give him some time and some space to sit with it he doesn't he does what he what he does is what janet says he just wants to get
Starting point is 00:51:45 away from it he just wants it to be over with he hopes and praise probably praise a lot that these things will just go away on their own that these things will just eventually will move past them and we won't have to talk about them anymore but he doesn't realize he's missing that one piece of of if I just take accountability and I sit down with the people I need to sit down with and discuss it thoroughly, he could be back. And I think that's the big frustrating thing. Not that I want him on our screens, but at least in terms of like with this group, if he had a full sit down like he did with Melissa and Jasmine last year, if he had a full sit down with Janet and he was able. And I'm not talking about Nea. If Danny was able to sit down with Janet and Janet was not that she has to do this, but she walks through her trauma and Danny has a real response.
Starting point is 00:52:28 He's like, I didn't know any of that. I'm so sorry. Look, I just want things to be better again, but I'll take accountability on my end when I have to. I'm sorry for the role that I played in any of that triggering or anything else. If Janet wants to keep perpetuating bullshit later down the line, that's different. That's completely different.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Then you can be like, all right, Janet, like we had this conversation. Why are you still holding me accountable for things that I did when we had to sit down and we had a really good conversation? That's where you would want to be, especially if you want to manipulate situations, like that makes sense to me because you can then at least point the finger back at her. That's all you have to do. But his ego is so big that he won't move it out of the way so he can have those conversations because he doesn't want to admit to any faults. And his wife doesn't want to admit to any of his faults.
Starting point is 00:53:09 So that's where we are. We're at this standstill where we just constantly talk about it and we're never able to move past it, which is awful for a TV show. Agreed. And the one funny thing is Zach shits his pants and he tells us, which again, that's why we usually look at this guy. He didn't blame Chili's either. I was so happy. I was so worried when I saw people were talking about it the night that it came out,
Starting point is 00:53:32 which again, I can't believe that people actually watched this show live. But when people, when it came out, the tweets and the threads were all like, oh my God, he should have himself at Chili's. I understand that.
Starting point is 00:53:41 I don't. I love Chili's. Chilies is the absolute best. Give me a triple dip for all here. I was so happy when he does that and he comes out. He's like, look, it was the antibiotics. I'm not saying it was Chili's.
Starting point is 00:53:50 It was the antibiotics. Now, Michelle sitting down and getting like salmon or something is kind of fucking wild. You do not get salmon. Just, Janet. This is the charm of Janet, the only charm of Janet, is when she goes to Dave and Busters and she has a kick-ass time. And when she goes to Chili, she knows what she's doing.
Starting point is 00:54:06 That's it. Yeah. And by the way, that's enough for me to like most people. I don't need to hear about any other personal stories. I'm just judging you on your Chili's order. And that's good by me. Yeah, double triple dipper order is pretty solid. Getting the regular Motsie sticks and you get the Nashville Motsis sticks.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Yep. The big move is you get the triple dipper with the Koso skillet. and then you dip the triple dipper in the casso skillet. That's only if you're at Chili's. If you're getting order, no, yeah. You can't get the case. So take out.
Starting point is 00:54:35 No, it turns into a brick on the way home. Everybody knows. Yeah, well, the top layer is a brick. And then you try to poke a chip in there and it doesn't work. So you put a fork in there and try to,
Starting point is 00:54:44 it gets messy. It's just a mess. Yeah. Just PSA for everybody out there. Anyway, Donie, Brittany and Lala sit down. And this was good.
Starting point is 00:54:52 I mean, you can kind of see them crack through finally. And Lala references it in her confession. It's like, this is a true friendship. Like, we have history. We have a past. Like, this is what we do. We get together in banter.
Starting point is 00:55:05 I really enjoyed this scene. I thought this was fun. I'm glad that Brittany got to say something because I agree with Britney in the last scene, which, again, I'm agreeing with Brittany. I'm championing Lala and Schwartz. Like, what's going on? I agree. Like, she gets shut down for bringing up things because people don't take her seriously.
Starting point is 00:55:23 And that's annoying because the points that she's now makes, she's making good points. And like having this moment where she sits down and finally gets Doty to slip up and say, while Nia Gilt trips, it's like, whoa, there's a crack in the armor. And if you peel back that thread, it's going to fall apart because you're going to see behind the scenes what's going on. The celebration was the best. I mean, that's how all of us felt.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Anyone who's been watching this show religiously, anyone who had to like indoor all of this show, when that moment happens and Brittany and Lala just start cheering because, Because Kristen finally threw me on the list. She finally just showed what Nia is doing. That was massive. That's massive for the show. It's massive for everybody. So when that happened, I was cheering at home.
Starting point is 00:56:08 I was like, holy shit, did she just actually say that Nia had something to do that wasn't this sweet, innocent woman? Oh, she's manipulative. Oh, she makes Zach feel bad. Now, when we peel back the layers and we start getting into it, that's when it gets a little messy. When we're talking about the way that Zach's doing things, where he's texting Nia, he's texting. he's texting Kristen. I can't believe that I'm hanging out. He was texting us before he went to Chili's
Starting point is 00:56:30 and he was worried about that. The Lacey thing I don't fucking care about because like I just, whatever, Lacey's a non-factor. She just holds Jesse accountable. She's new to the group. She'll figure things out. I imagine that she'll be a pretty good reality TV star
Starting point is 00:56:43 because she'll be able to just kind of go with the ebbs and flows. So I'm not even caring about that. But when you start talking about Zach, this is where it gets a little weird and I can see this definitely being true. When he's texting them before he goes to Chili's like, like, oh, I just like, I can't.
Starting point is 00:56:57 I don't want to be friends with her. I don't want to sit with her. But then we see the scenes where Janet and him are together and it seems nice, but he still has a bit of a wall up. It's like, okay, just shit or get off the pot. I don't care where you land. We say this all the time. We don't need you to be friends with everybody. We don't need you to be friends with Janet. Just pick aside. Like this weird gray area of talking to a bunch of people on the side who don't like Janet and saying, oh, I'm with you guys. I really don't like Janet. And then hanging out with Janet and being nice to her is fucked up.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Like it's just, it's annoying. I need you to get called out. Like I love Zach. But when you do that type of behavior, you need to get called out in front of the entire group because then it'll try to rectify some of the situations. That's what we need for that. But right now, we really just need to focus on the fact that Kristen threw Nia's name out there and saying, oh, yeah, no, she manipulates situations.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Oh, yeah. She definitely just makes Zach feel bad for hanging out with Janet or wanting to hang out with Janet. It's the first crack in the armor. And from there, we can hopefully drive a wedge and get to the bottom of this whole thing, and create some chaos. That forces Danny Nia to actually be real on camera and answer some real shit. Will we get there?
Starting point is 00:58:00 Probably not, but at least it's a little glimmer of hope amidst the house of shit and a pearl, as you said. Yeah. And the last scene, you know, Doty and Lala, I'm glad that she's able to kind of see through it.
Starting point is 00:58:11 And, you know, now going on, watch what happens live to try to clean up her image is frustrating. And like, well, I don't agree with stuff that Danny did. It's like, well,
Starting point is 00:58:17 you lobbied for him hard in the comments during the season. You lobbied for him literally. during the season. You bashed Janet every turn you could get. And it took Lala sitting you down and staring through your soul saying, hey, she went through some shit. And you're not acknowledging that she went through some shit because you hate her so much. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:36 In that moment, finally, she's like, oh, right. This was, this is, and I know, you know, I'm one of them. I know a lot of people don't really like Lala. This was what was needed for bringing Lala onto the show, was to actually get through to Kristen, was to actually get through to bring. which she hasn't had to do because Brittany's in a completely different world without Jacks now. But for this, this was necessary.
Starting point is 00:59:01 Now, I thought that Kristen was going to deflect. I thought she was going to just try to spiral and turn it on somebody else. She didn't. She actually listened to Lala. They have a long history together. And she even says, and Lala does it the right way where she's like, look, this isn't who you are. I'm not telling you to be friends with Janet. I'm just saying you should understand what's going on.
Starting point is 00:59:19 And it's not my story to tell. But if you had heard it, you would take a step back and be like, oh fuck like maybe i'll just like give her a pass on this thing or you'll understand it a little differently that was enough for christin do it finally for the love of god finally just say shit yeah maybe there is something more going on here i trust you you trust like we we understand how this works this is okay that's the way to do it it makes a ton of sense and finally we get that scene where it's like okay we might be moving in the right direction at least with christin i don't care like dandy and just have to be off the show if we're going to do a fourth season i hope we aren't but if we do a fourth
Starting point is 00:59:53 season, you have to get rid of Danny and Neha. We can't do this shit anymore because there is more good things here. We think that and maybe not good things with Kristen and Luke, but there are things that make a reality TV show work if you just focus on those things. And not Danny Indiana. This is the last boss that we have to defeat to get to a potentially better show. I mean, yeah, perfectly said. And we'll see if we can get there.
Starting point is 01:00:16 I am not confident, especially again, like I will bring him up every time. It is, yeah, Jeremiah is a. fucking cancer to reality TV shows. Like he just takes them down this weird path, this like misogynistic. Let's promote these awful toxic dudes because he had a lot of success with it in the early 2000s and 2010.
Starting point is 01:00:39 The world's changed. No one wants to see this shit. So fucking clean it up. We're getting it off the show. I don't really care. But let's get to some questions. Let's just do a few because I'm down the shore. I'm already wasted enough time on this damn show.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Yeah, he did. Uh, first one up here from Emma Gordon. Did you see watch what happens live? Kristen seems to be coming to her senses about Danny. I don't know. I'm not going to say that she's reading the comments because she's been accused of doing that before. I will say I don't know for sure that she's coming to her senses about Danny or if she realizes that her image doesn't look great by backing somebody like Danny. But whatever it is, we talked about it a little bit.
Starting point is 01:01:19 I don't really care at this point. I need her to just distance. herself from Danny and Nia. Let's see. A lot of people just saying this show's boring and talking shit on Luke, which bravo, everybody. From Angie Banji, have the Brabara's ever trusted a fart too much? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:38 Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. In baseball, there's a rule. You get two a year. Two year. And when you have to live on Chili's, Applebee's, and TGI Fridays because you don't make any money, you, you, You use those two.
Starting point is 01:01:54 You just read that. You've read that question. That's why TGII Fridays popped up, huh? No, I swear to God. Oh, yeah, there's a question in here. I'll read it right now. Oh, right here from Nicky Mano. Nicky Mano.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Yep, which is best. Chili's, Applebee Tuesdays. Ruby Tuesdays is crazy. Or TGI Fridays. Chili's is the best out of those for me. If you're going all around, yeah, but there's different reasons for different spots. Like Ruby Tuesday's salad bar fucking slaps. That shit is legit.
Starting point is 01:02:23 TGI Fridays, great apps. It's a good apps place. Applebee's, the only reason Applebee's is even remotely okay because the food tastes like absolute dog shit is you can go in there as a minor league baseball player and get the two for 20. And actually feed yourself a full dinner. So that's what Appleby's is good for. But yeah, different strokes, different folks. But Chili's is definitely the champion all around top dog there.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Let's do one more. I mean, this is a pretty good question. And I think we'll probably find out next week from K. Caney, 2012. How does Jason keep control with all of the men questioning his wife's trauma? I wish that Jason hadn't torn his ACL because I'm not condoning violence, but you see a clip from next week where Jason is speaking up and Danny says, what are you going to do? You hurt your knee or whatever. By the way, Jason would whoop his ass. Jason would destroy him.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Like, absolutely destroy him. I do not know. And, like, we have gone on an absolute roller coaster with Jason and Janet. Janet, I think at her core is a very annoying person. And I feel like I wouldn't really want to be friends with her. But when it comes to the questioning of her trauma, when it comes to Jason, like, I think Jason, we've called him a bitch boy in the past. He is kind of a bitch boy. But if it comes down to him and Danny, I mean, that's not even a contest.
Starting point is 01:03:51 No, no, he'd clean his clock, as they say. And of course, Danny being a hard ass, like pointing out that the dude's got a bum leg, like, which is the only reason he even might have a shot. And I still think that Jason works your ass with a bum like sitting down. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Try him. Go over there and try something. But I don't know. I don't know, dude. It's a disaster.
Starting point is 01:04:16 But there's glimmers of hope throughout it. I just, there's, here's what we know for a fact. Just because you see bright spots, the people that are in charge of this show will never hone in on the right spot. They're going to do what they're doing in bringing Jacks back. They're going to do that and give this guy screen time again. To watch Cruz this episode and like you said, know that they are bringing this dude back to potentially force him into that kid's life. That tells you everything you need to know about Jeremiah and what he's trying to do. So fuck him forever.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Everybody else, enjoy your weekend. Let's get out there and have a good time. Get some fun. Yeah, get some sun. But that's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. That's our show.
