I'm still holding off judgment, but I feel like Vanderpumps where it's supposed to be right now.
I feel like this is a good place for it to be.
I think it took a little bit, and by a little bit, I mean two episodes, it seems like they have the right crew.
That's all I'm going to say.
They've got the right kind of people for the show.
I've got to have me my pros and shows.
Bros and shows.
Rosen shows.
I got to have me my Bros and shows.
Good evening, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Bros and Shows.
I'm your co-host, Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only,
Gabo San Guter.
What's up, dude?
Welcome home.
Yeah, dude.
This is going to be fun.
I'm just fighting with like belts of sweat and dying and then coming back to life.
And I think I'm summer.
That's what I did in 2018.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So it's been an interesting couple of days here.
Travel.
Holy shit.
Time zones.
Why?
Why do we do these things?
Because of the sun.
Yeah.
Who cares about the sun?
Enough about the sun.
Flying back from the west coast of any place is just the worst thing ever.
You just lose a whole day and you're dead.
Yeah, it's never fun.
And for those of you out there,
I feel like, where are you guys been?
We had it all planned out.
Shooter shit didn't work in Cabo.
So we are doing three episodes in a row right now,
three episodes tomorrow.
And then we'll be all caught up.
So pray for us.
and if our second and third episode of the night get a little weird,
you guys know the drill.
We're trying our best.
We're not forcing you to listen to this.
You signed up for this.
Quit yelling at us.
Anyway, due to our very full docket,
why don't we just jump right into this episode?
What do you say?
All right.
Well, I wrote down a line before I even started taking notes
because, as Lisa says,
without a vibrant staff, it just wouldn't be served.
No, it would be Vanderpump rules.
You can definitely run a restaurant, probably better, without your quote-unquote vibrant staff.
And vibrant just means that they're bad at their job.
They're entertaining, but bad at their job.
Yeah, yeah, they truly are.
Now, I do love that we're just doing this with Lisa telling us that the industry is struggling terribly.
The industry is struggling terribly.
Apparently, the Belmont shut down, which is kind of funny because in episode one,
and I imagine they're probably there
a few more times this season.
The Belmont shut down.
Do you know who owns the Belmont, though?
This is funny.
Oh, fucking Greg.
Yeah.
Is it Greg?
Hell, yeah.
Like, you remember?
We shit on that guy.
And then our insider in the VPR world was like, actually,
Greg's not a bad dude.
We're like, oh, we've been shitting on it for two years.
He's, I really don't think he was a bad dude.
I think it was just funny to shit on him.
But I do think with Schwartz and Sanchez,
he just expected that they were going to be the face of it and he was just going to run
everything and then they wanted to be hands on and it ruined everything so look I guess the
environment I guess the economy over there is a little tough so is Lisa wrong no like bringing back
vander pump rules is probably going to help but I'll tell you what else is going to help
rolling that best theme song ever right back out with a new crew let's do it it does it gets the people
going gets the blood flowing and like I said I think they're in a good spot I think this
is right where they need to be.
We're getting some growing pains out of the way.
People are getting comfortable in front of the camera.
We're starting to have less of the moments that they clearly wrote down to the
notepad and they're trying to have their moment on camera.
So this is what you want to see the progression as episode.
We'll get a lot of that.
I do want more Shane Davis, though.
Give me more Shane Davis.
I knew Shane was going to be good.
I don't know how I'm watching him yet, though.
I don't know if it's like, oh, this is this guy's kind of funny.
You're like, oh, wow, what a huge douchebag.
I need to watch him.
I'm somewhere in the middle of that.
Somewhere in the middle is, I think, the sweet spot, though.
I mean, he's the only one who doesn't even work there, and he's just hanging out with them,
and he's on the show.
I love it.
I don't think Shane Davis has a job.
I think Shane Davis is one of those, you know, those guys, you know, those guys that just
wander around and they're just always there, but you don't really know what they do.
I feel like he's that guy.
He might be that guy, but, I mean, you can always tell he's coming.
You hear that laugh.
Anyway, let's have our pre-shift meeting, and at least let's everyone,
know Marcus has been suspended and you know she didn't know whether to suspend him or fire him
or throttle him I love that she acts like this is a problem like I the fact that we're going back
to our roots of Vanderpump where it's like she's pretending to actually reprimand these people
is great like I want that but let's not act like this is actually a problem the problem is
as Marcus says he got caught drinking you don't want them to not drink at work you're not
you need them to drink at work but the more
they show the clip of him drinking the funnier it is because there's two fucking cameras right
there there's one basically in the fridge with him while he's going in to get a sangria
but i i think that's part of it and we talked about this going into the show we talked about this
last episode they do have an idea of what this show is and i guarantee you once they signed up for
it they all started talking about how everybody in the past has gotten away with drinking at work
we can amp it up we can do this and that so i'm fine with them trying to just kind of do
pretty much the same thing that everybody else did before because it's going to play out
way differently.
And something like this is very funny.
It's objectively very funny that Lisa is now sitting down and having a serious conversation
about whether or not she's going to get rid of him.
It's like, no, you're not, first off.
I think he's going to be a star and people are going to hate him.
People are going to love him.
I don't know where I'm going to land, but people are going to absolutely be polarized by this
guy.
So yeah, you're going to keep him around.
So he's scooping a little sangria in a coffee cup.
What are we going to do?
That's the other part of it.
you can't reprimand him for if he's sneaking whiskey like if he's doing bourbon shots behind
the bar like tequila sure sangria come on can't get mad at a guy for drinking sangria
but let's get to lunch service and uh we get to learn a little bit more about chris as he says
about poor demi uh she has resting i fucking hate you face which is my new favorite line yeah and
we get to see that audrey and chris seem to have a little thing they seem to be into each other
a little bit which i like i like
those two so far i think they're a funny pair chris chris is really funny unintentionally and i'll get
into that more later yeah but we might have a budding relationship there which i i like on this show
in particular other shows i don't love intermingling this show i love to see who's falling for who
amongst the staff you need it because that leads to the blowups and the love triangles or as
craig says the love trapezoids so yeah things are in the work
Things are always going to be in the works here
And they're going to fall apart
And they're going to come back together
I just again
We talked about this last week
It's one of those situations where it seems like they are
In inherently like just chaotic as hell
Because we missed that Natalie was fighting with Palo
We missed that we've got Kim and Marcus
Fighting and breaking up and getting back together
We have yet to see even a nice moment with Kim and Marcus
So I'm with everyone
I'm like what is this relationship
I don't even understand what's going on here
we get to just get in on the ground floor obviously chris let's just say it hired for the show
he's a show hire it's okay we're all right with that but we get to see a budding romance right
away we get to understand where we started we don't have to just start guessing exactly exactly
and yes he was a tv hire but i hopefully most of us are passed getting frustrated with that
i feel like that's so dumb of course people that want to be on tv are auditioning for new bravo shows
That makes total sense to me.
But we do get more about the relationship, which I was curious about as far as Marcus
and Kim go, they've been dating for nine months, which is crazy that this is going on
at nine months.
I think that the writings on the wall guys, maybe hanging up.
They've been dating for nine months.
And when your boyfriend's go to is every time you fight, you're broken up for a few days,
quote unquote, you Ross and Rachel it as you try to compare yourselves to, which is
ludicrous, but okay, I'll play.
that's not a good thing she's like look we don't cheat he doesn't cheat on me in those three days
he just doesn't talk to me it's like oh yeah you already put the you already planted the seed
out there by saying ross and rachel is he cheating or is it not cheating that's are you on a
break yeah you yep exactly so a lot of trust to your three day broken up boyfriend but hey
who am i to say but speaking to marcus we get to marcus and erin uh Aaron is his brother
and they're from Indiana, and we learn a little bit more about Marcus, his mom's Italian,
his dad is black, and he's been working at Serve for three years, and he just got suspended.
How's everything else going, Marcus?
Well, you know, Kim and I are going through it too, and, you know, well, does she still feel secure?
Like, you're making sure that she feels secure in your relationship?
Yeah, dude, we bang all the time.
Yeah, nothing says security like banging all the time.
Again, this just goes into what I'm talking about.
He can't even come up with an instance in which he can tell his own brother,
yes, I love my girlfriends.
Yes, I do sweet things for my girlfriend.
He shows up later in this episode with a bouquet of roses for Lisa because he's upset and thinks he's going to get fired.
Have you done that for Kim?
You could have said something here?
I don't know, maybe.
Just throw it out there.
Yeah, I love my girlfriend.
I've got some sort of affection towards her.
Nah, you know, we're fine.
You know, this is just struggle.
This is what we do.
We go between fights.
we fuck we hang out we get in fights again it just happens you know i love the girl like
where in there have you told me that you love her where in there have you shown me any sort of
affection because i've yet to see anything from the two of them except for her crying and him being a dick
so i don't know where this relationship is you know the banging the bang and yeah we get to see them bang
and then we can figure it up i don't want to do that i was just saying that's where the love seems to be
that sounds like they get mad and then anger bang and then repeat the cycle.
But they're talking about Natalie and everything that happened at the Belmont between Natalie versus Kim.
And the brother and sister thing comes up.
This is very important, okay, because he tells Aaron, we're like brother and sister.
Log that in for later, everybody.
Because like I said, that's super important.
This is also like the third time that he has said it verbatim.
He's said brother and sister.
now again this is just the easiest clip to pick but again you're the one who's saying this the whole
time and it's very important that you said as far as importance goes on a show like this i do love
that we're like this is really fucking important everybody write this down right now very important stuff
take a note this will be on the final everybody yeah no but moving on from there we get to venus
and audrey i like this duo a lot they're very entertaining they're bfs and they're both from
Texas and Venus's picture from prom, I'm assuming that, or homecoming, whatever that was.
Holy shit.
You had the goatee.
You had the sideburns and everything.
You had a quite the glow up going on there.
Yeah.
Quite the glow up for Venus.
And he's a manifestation coach, which, how do you feel about that?
I love.
See, I think Venus is my favorite person on this show right now.
So I'm going to just accept it.
And I love it because they also did the best editing, which is let him just go on a rampage talking about.
He wasn't even talking about being a manifestation guy.
He was just talking about a book that he read that changed his life.
Yeah.
You never read the secret?
Did you read it?
Yeah.
Way back.
That was like one, it got very, very popular.
It's about like manifesting things and they try to use science to explain things in it.
That's what was funny when he's breaking the whole thing down.
You should do the edit right now where we speed you up as you talk about it.
But I thought it was funny that he then goes into like the science by manifesting and everything, which if you believe in it, great.
If you don't, you can talk to shooter.
But anyway, Audrey's background, she dates both men and women.
She had a four-year relationship with a girl in high school.
After that, she only dated men.
She believes that love is love, which I love.
And she loves love.
She loves, even though you have to get your heart broken.
sometimes. God, it feels so good when you don't get your heart broken. So she's a big,
big romantic, which you know that's got to be foreshadowing. That's got to be leading us somewhere.
Yeah. I don't know, though, because I really like Chris. So I'm hoping it's not him.
Because he seems like such a sweet guy, but if he does something to break her heart, we're going to
flip on Chris. We don't want to do that. Chris is going to be, or at least play like the guy that
shit's going to go south
he's going to play dumb
I didn't think he's that
he's that guy yeah
yeah yeah that's absolutely
what's going to happen here
but her dating history is wild
she started off dating a girl
for four years in high school
and then moved on to guys
and she's like I know that that's the complete opposite
love that she has perspective
and she's not just delusional
like most people are in LA
but she has that grounding force
that I like and I feel like Venus has that too
that's why I feel like
when the two of them are talking about this
And obviously they're talking about manifesting and he's got written down notes and diagrams and chakras and all that shit.
But he's very funny about it.
And he understands that it's kind of funny.
He's like, I don't really care what's going on here.
She's very understanding.
She's very self-aware, if you will, at that point.
So I like the two of them.
And we're still in the early stages.
That's the thing.
I feel like a lot of people are going to jump right in and just immediately pick a side, pick a person.
Let it happen.
You got a matter.
You can have faves.
Like you can be like, ooh, I'm riding with this dude right now.
I'm riding with her right now.
Just be ready to jump off their wagon.
This is how bandwagon start.
We don't want that.
Yeah.
Except for the shame in the bandwagon because we, that one.
Yeah.
We actually built that.
So come on board.
Let's get to sir.
We built that one too.
It was commissioned.
We don't know why or from whom.
We didn't tell Giselle.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Blame us, Giselle.
It was not Ashley's fault.

But let's get the service.
Get it?
Get it, sir?
I got it.
Okay, cool.
But it's a juxtapose scene.
On one side we got, sir.
On the other side, we got Boys Night with Chris, Jason, Nate, Davis,
Marcus and Venus
So they're all going out to hang out
And I'm glad we get a boys night
I'm still getting to know everybody
I need a girl's night too at some point
Because like that's where everyone's in their element
You're gonna get the real shit
So we got a boys night out of the way
And this is a t-shirt
Venus has a lot of t-shirt lines
But the only time I don't dress up
Is to do taxes
Because the patriarchal doesn't deserve me at my best
Fucking great line
This guy is
He's destined for greatness, destined for greatness.
But they're talking Kim and Marcus stuff.
Timelines are changing already.
They've been dating for 10 months.
So we added a month in there somewhere.
And Marcus says she's like a werewolf or Michael Jackson from the thriller video.
All things that you want to hear your significant others say about you.
That it tells you that this is a great relationship.
It's a great relationship.
The way that he downplays his role in their drunk fights is a lot.
hilarious. I'm just, you know, I'm an average bastard. You know, I get drunk and I'm just
very average. What, first off, what the fuck does that mean? I don't know. I have no idea what
that means. Does that just mean you do typical drunk dude shit and you just like yell at your
girlfriend or something? Like, is that average for you? I don't know. You tell your best friend how
much you love him over and over again. I get, yeah, very average. But meanwhile, she turns into a monster.
She's an absolute monster. Back me up here, Venus. And Venus does back him up there. But again, I think
everybody has different perspectives on them
and I do think that most of them fall in line with
we don't want to deal with this anymore
and we're kind of at our wits ends with this whole thing
we just wanted to go away
but Marcus has I guess just accepted it
and he loves it but he still spins it
and it's so wild to watch his brainwork
when he's talking about her
when he's talking about their relationship
because he didn't play a role in any of that
he didn't say anything wrong
he's not doing anything wrong it's all her
of course it is
Venus is like interesting though in that regard because he does agree with him
but not in a way where he's like picking his side it's almost just acknowledging like
yeah that is one of her traits because I don't we see some scenes where he's team Marcus and
he does say that Mark is one of my best friends but at the same time when we see him with Kim
he's shitting on Marcus he's shit on Marcus with Audrey too saying you know he has an actual
drinking issue like yeah we all drink a little bit at work but like he always drinks at work
whatever but i i don't feel like he's playing two sides of the street i think he's just
honest about marcus and like i don't think he would mind saying that to marcus's face which i think
is an important distinction yeah i i don't get the sense that he's stirring the pot necessarily
i think he's just saying things that are true you know what i mean it just seems like it just seems
like he's stating facts and he's okay with that and he'll say it to anybody that's around.
So that's always an important person to having a group like this because there are a lot
of people like Marcus who are going to downplay their involvement like Natalie, who were going to act
like things didn't happen. So if we have one good grounding force and we have that in Venus,
I'll accept that all day. Yeah, same. As far as Chris's background goes, he was dating somebody.
She told him, I love you. It's great, you know. And then that same night, he
saw her making out with another dude so he's damaged a little bit i guess yeah this just struck me as
like a producer tell us about your last relationship but make it interesting make it as interesting as
possible and then my brain immediately goes to because we know that chris was on a couple other
dating shows like did you just you just pose this as the dating show that you were on but you
actually like it's a real relationship because i could see all of that happening on that's what he did
Whitney show.
Yeah, that's where my, that's where my brain went right away.
But again, you're going to have these little like bumps in the road early on where it's
like, we don't really know you.
So we want to try to get to know you.
Tell us about your relationship.
This seems crazy.
But okay, sure.
Yeah, that's worth mentioning.
It's either that or he's just a guy that falls in love really fast or I don't know.
Because when you get, I'm not calling Chris a meathead yet.
He's got meathead tendencies.
And that's not necessarily a bad thing.
but when you get dudes like that sometimes
this is like not that crazy of a story
where it was like yeah like I met this chick and like man
it was so hot and heavy and like we talked for like three days
and like I fell in love and she said she loved me too
and then I walk outside of the bar and she's making out
some other dude that's not completely implausible
it's not completely implausible
but doing it under the guise of I'm just a little worried
with Audrey you know she's she's 22 I'm 13
but oh god she's just got something about her that just works and you don't really find that
in L.A. I'm like, you just told a story about what I expect every L.A. relationship to be like in
20s because you guys do that all the time. But now you're doing this. I like that. There's a little
dichotomy going on there. Where are we going to go? He's got depth. Yeah. Sure.
Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp. Chrissy Depth. This one was confusing to me because I agree with Demi.
Natalie bounced for a certain amount of time, a certain period of time.
She comes back and she's like, I've been looking for you everywhere.
It's about the write-up or something.
I don't really know.
I don't really care.
What was the duration of time that she was gone?
Because I believe it was 27 minutes, but Demi will not let go of an hour.
So I am having a hard time because I hate people like Demi that do that.
So do I.
But I kind of love that she did that, Natalie, because it works.
really well and it really ruffled her feathers but i do think it was 27 minutes i don't think
production wouldn't have any reason to lie to us right not on a show like that's what i thought
until i watched did you watch southern charm well yeah obviously oh yeah yeah yeah yeah when wittner's
doing his quote unquote morning routine which seems like ashton what's that guy's name
ashton hall right uh yeah yeah yeah yeah do you think we're fucking stupid
they put on the screen 430 a m he picks up his phone it says 630 a m and then they go
If you were no routine, like every step of his routine, they're like, an hour later, 5 a.m. 6 a.m.
I'm like, fuck you. It's not that at all. It is like 8 p. or 8 a.m. right now.
He's got his phone. Military time, of course. You know?
It doesn't know. What? It would still be the same time.
I know. So with that knowledge, I don't know. It could have been two hours. It could have been 10 minutes.
Well, they're lying. Let's discuss motive. Let's discuss motive.
What motive does production have to say that she was really gone for 27 minutes when she was actually gone for an network?
Are they-
She just getting fired.
Oh, yeah.
You know what I mean?
Manager.
We're going to have to keep an eye on that.
We have timing problems now.
So everyone gets stopped.
We need to watch the show with stopwatches now.
We do.
We'll really know.
Yeah, we'll figure it out.
We'll get to the bottom of it.
But not much really happens.
This scene just lets you know who Natalie is.
because she's, I'm not dealing with you, Demi.
I want to talk to Guillermo.
Geremo's like, here.
Like, it literally was handing somebody a paper or signing something.
You had to talk to Demi for an extra two seconds.
She's like, nope, nope, you're acting like I fucked your dad or something.
It's like, whoa.
It was such a quick jump.
But at the same time, Gierma is a stud.
So any opportunity I'm going to get to come over and have him be there while I signed a paper, I'm going to take it.
I agree.
This was just a good old fashioned little.
petty war. And I do get the sense. And I'll use something from later. I don't know if you noticed
that, but when Kim was walking out crying, Demi was just sitting there by herself, not even paying any
attention to her, just like, whatever. I don't care what you're doing. I think this might just be
who Demi is. And I love that because there always has to be someone who's going to be petty enough
to do that and hold their rank above you to make sure that you know where you stand.
Agreed. Agreed. So that's adding to my not argument, but statement of
We're in a good place.
You're starting to see the dynamics and where things are going to come together,
how it's going to work in the restaurant.
Will they be able to sustain it?
Like, is it going to be entertaining?
I don't know, but you are seeing where the pieces are falling into place.
I do like that.
Now, Chris FaceTime's his dad.
He's at his apartment or whatever.
This explains a lot.
This gives me a much better insight into Chris.
Not in a bad way, either.
But dad is very, very supportive.
It's like, yeah, you're out in L.A., go live your dream.
By the way.
If you want new clubs, fucking get them.
You want a new sports?
That's the nice I've ever heard.
Go get it.
Who cares?
Go enjoy your life.
I do believe that he comes from money.
Yeah.
That's the root of that one.
But hey, he's a dreamer and he's got a supportive dad.
There's something about Chris's dad that just feels like home because he's an Italian
Jersey dad.
Like as soon as an Italian jersey dad starts talking, I'm listening and I'm agreeing with
everything he's saying.
And it's just, it's very comforting.
hear that and i think it's the best advice i've ever heard you've got hobbies spend your money on some
hobbies never feel bad about that i don't care if you're flat broke go right ahead you go ahead and get
that surfboard slipping golf clubs in there we weren't even talking about golf that's my kind of guy
let's just talk about golf let's talk about the weather that opening statement that he made about
how he got a bunch of weather while he was on a trip wherever the hell he was and he's like yeah
looks like uh watching the weather channel all these years really paid off for your old man what does that
mean? I don't know. You understand what weather is because you watch the weather
channel. I don't care. I'm going to accept it for what it is. I love you. It's just a
dad statement. Yeah. I have been watching a lot of weather channel lately. Even his son,
Chris is like, you do sound like a meteorologist dad. What is this conversation? And I need to
know statistically how many people are living in L.A. want to be actors that went there
Because everyone tells me I got the look
God, it's the best
Everybody does
That's how I know that we're in a great spot
With this cast though
Because one, they're not really like
We complained about that with VPR early on
Once they started getting money, it was less fun
It just wasn't fun anymore
I want to watch you struggle and be broke
I love the idea of just putting all of their money
Into a trust, don't let them do any marketing
Don't let them make any money on the side
Put it into a trust run by Bravo
they can get it after seven years.
We need at least seven good years
of you guys being struggling actors
who work and serve.
It would be so much better
and they'd be better off for it.
They'd be thanking us for coming up
at this idea.
So let's do something like that.
But yeah, I'm with you on that.
We know how it goes
if you're allowed to do
what you will with your money.
Yeah.
Talk to the Tom's.
You're going to buy a restaurant.
Someone's going to cheat on somebody.
You're going to lose everything.
I need just enough money for you to go.
just enough money for you to go and rent like a junior suite at the golden nugget that's all i need
like just pull your money together and go have fun that's what but they share the junior suite
yeah oh yeah yeah right okay yeah yeah yeah we're on the same page i think that's the way to go
just just make these contracts so brutal for the actual people doing it's like you sign your life
away. Oh, man. Now, LVP sits down with Marcus. We got a classic LVP scene where it's supposed to be a talking to, a reprimand. You did something wrong. But you're not wrong. Something's got to be going on with you. You wouldn't do this shit for me. It happens across whatever show she's on. Vanderpump Villa had one of these an episode.
Oh, my God, dude, she fine-tuned her craft on Vanderpump Villa because we had these with the guests every single time.
And then it spilled over to the people who worked for her.
There's got to be something going on.
Tell me more.
And she'll sit with you for hours until you finally say something that she can use.
And she's like, I knew there was something going on.
We just had to get there.
She's a therapist.
That's what Lisa is.
But it could be like, I don't know, Lisa, it's been an hour.
I remember my grandmother died when I was four.
there it is there it is i haven't you yet you know what i'm not going to fire you because your grandmother
died 30 years ago well and you know on that note what i miss this because i watched this scene twice
when did his parents die and this is going to sound super mean but he does strike me as the type of guy
that's going to use this as his excuse for bad behavior and i think that's probably what he does this
episode unfortunately uh that doesn't take away the fact that i do think he oh i think that he is going
through something like what I just said applies to in general Lisa Vanderpump
conversations I'm not saying that or trying to take away from what Marx is going through
because his shit's legit like yeah this is really hard his mom passed at the end of
September and his dad had passed shortly after COVID so he lost his dad like four or five years
ago he only had his mom left he he talks about there was still some semblance of normalcy
with mom around like it was sad and sure but i still felt whole i didn't feel alone then my dad passed
away or sorry my mom passed away and now i just feel alone like my family's gone i have my brother
and that's it which has to be a harrowing feeling and i i feel for him and he is going through a lot like
that's why what i just said doesn't apply to this situation this one i actually do feel like
we are seeing some of this come out in marx's behavior the only issue i have we don't know what his
neutral is yeah i i can't speak on how much of this is him acting out how much of this is actually
marcus yeah i and that's what i'm going to question to because if this was just a one-off
and we talked about this with lisa okay fine that gives us some perspective but as soon as he
uses it later for an excuse for his behavior because he's going through something i'm like oh no
you did that thing where something clicked and you were able to get out of a tough jam which
we can all agree you weren't really in a tough jam with lisa you were never going to lose your job
It was just, you know, we got to sit down.
It's pomp and circumstance.
But you got through that and something clicked.
Like, oh, that worked with Lisa.
Is it going to work with Kim?
Is it going to work with the whole crew?
So if he keeps doing it, I will call it out and I will feel bad.
Every time I do it, I'm going to feel bad about it, but I have to do it.
I started down this road.
Well, here's the one thing I will say.
Okay, and this is valid.
He didn't say that to anybody.
He said that in a confessional.
So I think we can give him a break.
I don't think we need to throw the hammer at him yet.
Did he say it to somebody?
He didn't say it to somebody, did he?
Not yet.
No, I think he said it.
I'm pretty sure he said it in his confessional.
I think you are right about that.
Okay.
All right.
But does that give me a little bit more cause for concern?
Because he's still talking about it in his confessional a week or two later.
Like, is he going to do it more?
I don't know.
We'll have to see.
That's all I'll say.
We will definitely keep an eye on it.
But in lieu of firing him or suspending him,
she is going to send him to grief counseling,
which is actually really nice.
and he acknowledges I do need help and this job's all I have.
A lot of his predecessors have been in that same exact spot.
Yeah.
This is all I got.
Yeah.
It's got a sad to hear.
Talk to a lie.
Yeah.
But from a show standpoint.
Yeah, I know.
That's what I want.
I know it sounds horrible.
But I need all of these people to only have this job for a while.
Yeah.
Make or break on.
being a server at Sir, but also being on a TV show.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Yeah, we need that.
We need that bad.
Yes, I know.
That's going to make this show good.

Anyway, Audrey is having a birthday party on the rooftop.
Was this the Belmont, too?
No, I don't think so.
Okay.
Well, they're going to a rooftop bar to celebrate her 22nd birthday,
which you know is going to rub a lot of people the wrong way.
my least favorite
trope in the world
and that's saying something
because I have quite a few
that I don't care for
my number one is always
pajamas in public
pajama pants in public
drive me fucking crazy
this is a close second
when people in their late 20s
make jokes about being old
because of somebody
in their early 20s
shut up
and I'm not even the person
that I don't care about my age
or don't care about getting older
it's just like
I remember what I turn
turn 22 you're 28 stop yeah knock it off both kim and demi did it because and it was funny too
because they didn't even know how old she was they're like i didn't even know it was your birthday i had
no idea your birthday was today why are you there what did you think we were doing here just filming
a scene just having fun you were it's mean that you didn't know that it was her birthday it's not mean
that she happens to be turning 22 and telling you how old she is you asked this is demies was kind
of funny only because in the confession who turns 22
Like, that's so rude.
I was kind of funny.
Yeah, that was kind of funny.
But Natalie, she should have had a cigarette and took a drag instead of taking a drink.
She's like, oh, God, I remember when I was 22, four years ago.
Like, fuck off.
It's not clever.
That's my problem.
It's just not clever.
Yeah.
I do think it's interesting, though, and we're getting a little bit more from Kim.
And I also feel bad for Kim.
I feel like because of Marcus, we don't nothing about her at this point.
I don't know if she's actually crazy.
I don't know if he's just bringing this out in her.
I'm not calling her crazy.
I'm just saying, is this who she is?
Or is she in a really bad relationship?
So we're seeing this part of her.
I don't really know.
But we do get insight from her into Marcus a little bit because she confirms after his mom
passed away, he became different.
He's not the same person he was before that.
He's no longer himself is what she says.
So clearly this has affected him, which of course it did.
like who wouldn't but i don't understand and this is where i i give her less leeway and i'm
less excited to get to know her she's got all the smoke for natalie where's the smoke for marcus
is it because they're broken up technically for three days three day breakup hasn't ended yet why
are you getting so mad at your friend but your boyfriend who is instigating all of this and you know
it's him you know it's not her you know damn well that that that that creepers
in the corner with the leather jacket.
He's the one doing it, but you're yelling at her.
Why?
Yeah, I'll never understand that.
And that's one of the bigger tropes for a toxic relationship that you'll see.
Sure.
One, it's always less than a year.
They're always dating for less than a year.
And it's always off and on.
It's always,
nine months.
Somewhere in that window.
It's always in that window.
That's why, as soon as you said, like, I don't really know if this is who she is or
she's just in this relationship.
It could go either way.
It could be, this is absolutely who she is.
But again, it's only been nine months.
So, yeah, I'm going to think it is.
But also with those toxic relationships, things accelerate so quickly and you just lose control about what's going on.
I don't know.
I don't think we know enough about Kim, but she's not doing herself any good because she does this.
Actually, no, I'm going to change my mind.
I love it.
I love that she's bouncing back because who does she go to immediately when she's in trouble?
She goes right to Natalie.
Who she's been beefing with for a week.
The end of this episode was one of my favorite things that I've ever seen.
but in the interim and what we're dealing with here,
it makes total sense that she's not going to go after Marcus.
Of course she's not going to put the blame on him.
It might be because they're broken up
and that's just part of their Ross and Rachel skit.
They don't have to talk bad about each other
because we don't want to make things any worse.
That's one of the things that we agreed to.
We can't talk about each other on our three-day breaks.
We're broken up.
You guys have to deal with it.
But I got problems with you saying that you're like a sister to my ex-boyfriend.
How dare you?
How dare you turn 22 and be a sister to my ex-boyfriends?
Like, that's the vibe that I was getting.
I'm like, what is going on?
What is going on with these people?
Natalie turned 22 six years ago.
That is a different person.
No, I know.
You've been turned 22 at some point.
You bitch.
I'm still pissed at you for it.
Don't get me started about 23.
Asinine.
No, I agree.
I think it's a great place for us at home to see her in.
But, you know, Natalie tries to talk to her like three times.
Like, hey.
no okay i'll go fuck myself and then she goes over to talk to her out of left field she's like
hey do you want to talk it's like she tried it because she was talking to marcus that's the thing
that you i know is once she's okay not talking to natalie as long as natalie's minding her in
fucking business over there in the corner you go talk to my ex-boyfriend who we just broke up
i'm gonna have a problem hey you want to go have a conversation it's a little overdue that we
have this conversation don't you work like what are we talking about
And again, I will give Natalie credit to because I think Natalie went about it the right way.
She asked her a couple times.
She tried to talk to her.
It didn't work out.
She didn't press the issue too much, which we've seen in the past.
And it usually devoles very quickly when people do that.
So I'm going to give Natalie credit for not pressing.
And I'm also going to give Kim credit because it is very funny that you walked over,
innocuous as shit, and said, hey, we should have a combo.
Hey, what the fuck, you know?
Is this my idea?
Like, I just thought about this, guys.
Come on.
I don't even know
whose birthday it is.
Let's go.
Let's go chat over here.
Audrey's turning 22.
You bitch.
Come,
let's go talk over here.
So they do.
They go sit down.
And we get a run through of the texts,
which is important.
So originally,
first and foremost,
let me say this.
Mark,
who shouldn't be texting her like this.
Okay?
So let's get that out of the way.
Now,
now that we know he is,
the gravity of the situation is different.
We heard
pictures of heels were sent that would be a big overstep yeah the actual sentence it was just a text
it said i bought heels you should be so proud of me okay still shouldn't be talking about that stuff
but whatever it's not a picture at least now i know what she's trying to do it doesn't help
no all he talks about is you and it's in comparison to you like oh audrey gets heels you should get
that's making it arguably worse when she said i bought these heels and i thought of you doesn't
that mean anything it's like well yes that means a lot actually that's creepy as shit what do you
mean what are we doing here it is still maybe catch marcus cheating he's like i was thinking
of you the whole time it's the same concept yeah and if you're going to do this it's very flirtatious
at its core and that's why they're leaning on the sister thing because anybody who's ever been
in a relationship any girl who's been with a toxic guy when they say she's
she's like a sister to me, they want to bang, they just can't, or they're going to try,
or they're going to be flirting.
So that's what's going to happen.
So I don't blame Kim for thinking that something's wrong.
And the sister comment coming out makes things worse for Kim, but it's a way for everybody
else to be like, wait, what are you talking about?
It just means their best friends.
This shouldn't be happening.
If you're in a relationship, if you're a boyfriend, you shouldn't be texting someone else
about heels and then do it under the guise of, well, I just want you to look as good as
my girlfriend. My girlfriend looks great in her heels. I want you to look good in heels, too.
Like, that's not a compliment to anyone, actually. No, but that's the logic, right?
That is logic, yeah. That's how you put that together, but inappropriate, regardless.
Yeah. Dumbs. Yeah. It's pretty great, though. But even Natalie references it. Like, why am I getting all
the smoke? Why are you coming after me? Where the fuck is Marcus? Marcus, come over here.
Marcus joins the conversation. Immediately denies the brother-sister thing. She said that. She said that. She's
said that multiple times roll the tape which one by the way the one today or the one yesterday or the
one at the premiere like which one you want to like what so what are we supposed to believe here that
natalie came in and said i'm like a sister to him that's not how that phrase goes like no one says
i feel like i'm a sister to you what that would be that would be fucking bizarre if somebody said that
about someone else that doesn't make any sense but also we've heard you say it now three times so
what are we doing here now i have no idea
but he's just digging that hole
and this is the moment you get the confessional
I'm dealing with the loss of both parents
so I really don't give a shit
now it is on our radar
there is some validity to that
but at the same time
and I'm treading lightly here
if that is where you're at mentally
right and this is getting way too deep for what this show is
but whatever if you are in that place
you shouldn't be dating somebody
that's not fair to her
right that's yeah
of course that's a mature way to do it that's a
grown up yeah you're speaking very logically
for right for a show like this
correct and that's why I prefaced with
obviously this is a stupid thing to say
but don't worry
Shane Davis is here to save the fucking day
have ever told you
that I have beautiful eyes
god
he slays me he absolutely slays me
at least i actually loved her she's like what no fuck oh like nice all right cool like i thought i'm sure
unfortunately by the way that line has worked before for sure stop it oh she was oh shane davis
there you go no one he calls him shade no it's always shade davis i can't wait for that clip for next
week he gets shot three times yeah what yeah i i don't know that's i was going to say i we get a 50 cent
out of nowhere, like lead with that, Shane Davis.
No, actually don't pick up line.
He's like an onion.
Hey, we just keep peeling back layers and there's so much more Shane Davis to go.
So.
There's layers and, and holes, apparently.
Apparently.
A little gunshot joke.
I don't know if that's PC or not.
He survived.
So can we go a lot of different ways.
Oh, boy.
Nope, not going to do it.
This is what you were talking about.
about, which I agree.
I even wrote down funniest scene I've seen because on one side,
right,
Kim has a full blown breakdown because Marcus pretty much is like,
fuck this,
fuck off and walks away from her.
So she's having a meltdown and immediately goes to her actual friend,
puts everything aside and goes to the one person that she needs right now,
which is ironically Natalie.
Natalie,
phenomenal confessional.
Hell yeah.
Come on over.
Come on over, babe.
Put your head on my shoulder, cry it out.
I'll hold you.
I'll hug you.
Let's forget about everything that happened.
While this is going on, in the background, you have cry, not crying, sobbing Kim.
Natalie, try not to smile.
And then you have Audrey getting a lap dance from Dumb and Dumber, who were strippers in college.
Let's not forget.
Okay.
That's the picture that we're watching as this episode comes to a close.
Fucking phenomenal.
Outstanding work.
The music changing as they just pan.
from side of the room to side of the room and then they do the overlaying shot just to make sure
that we know that these two things are definitely happening at the same time it's like you can't
believe what's going on here i actually can and i actually do think we got the appropriate amount of
context for everybody involved to get to this point and it's only the second episode like this is
gold for me because we have natalie who was just complaining earlier in the episode about how
her little family is falling apart she doesn't have kim on her side she doesn't have demi on her side
because she's walking around as the manager
and Kim's over here hating me
because I'm a sister to her boyfriends.
I don't know what's going on.
But it all comes right back together
when they need each other
and everybody has their own context
that's playing out perfectly in front of us.
The amount of yells coming from Audrey
while she's getting danced on,
shoving Venus out of the way immediately
like fuck off Venus.
Let the professionals take care of this one.
Like that's funny as hell.
It was just perfect.
It was so poetic.
And the fact that after all of
that plays out, Kim walks away by herself, all because Marcus is over there talking about how he's
fallen out of love with Kim. He doesn't want anything to do with her. Yeah, the same woman.
Yeah, we didn't mention that part. That's what actually happened. And that's why she started crying more.
Marcus is telling a DJ from Sir, which, whose name I can't remember now, Isabella, I don't know.
Hold on. Where did I, how did I skip that? Hold on. Oh, McKenna. McKenna is the DJ. And he says,
I'm falling out of love.
This is a wild line.
She's not the girl I thought she was.
What?
You're the problem from what we've seen.
I'm not saying she's Scott free in this.
We don't know enough.
But what a line.
You are not in a movie, sir.
You work at Sir, sir, sir.
All it took was a sit down with me and LVP to just dig through my trauma.
And I realized she's not the girl I fell in love with.
Yeah.
Where did that come from?
How did we get her?
I'm going to blame Lisa.
I talked to Lisa for a while.
I had an epiphany.
Go fuck yourself, Kim.
Oh, boy.
Yeah.
So, I mean, it wraps up with that.
Like you said, Kim, leaves solo, which is really sad.
But while she's leaving, and as we've said multiple times, like this is just the quintessential
toxic relationship that these shows thrive on.
because as she's walking out, sobbing, dejected, alone, Marcus is standing there, venting as she's
walking by, being like, huh, can't you say it? Seriously, all those months, she's gone.
Months and months. Those 11 months. Now we're up to 11.
Yeah, now it's ticking up again.
The fact that it changed so many times, I don't know, like they could have been dating for six
months. Maybe it felt like nine. That's just how long this is going on for.
I think that it was a situation ship for the majority
and they're serious and now they don't know what the timeline is
so we'd get conflicting ideas
5, 8, 7, 9, 11.
Who cares? Lisa told me that she's not the one
in so many words. That's what I got from that conversation.
And Aaron, my brother co-signed.
God, what a group of individuals.
I know. And that's where I need
our audience and the audience as a whole,
Vanderpump audience, let it simmer, just give it time, don't expect too much too early.
I feel like that's going to be the big hang up on a new cast of Vanderpumpees.
We need you to be patient.
You've got to let this blossom into what it's going to turn into.
We're going to see a lot of tropes that we're used to.
We've used that word many times.
We're going to watch those things play out.
We need to continue to keep Vanderpump of old to the side.
We're not drawing comparisons.
We don't have the new Tom and Tom.
We don't have the new Jackson-Stassie.
We have new people altogether.
So if you watch this through the right lens, as I think that you and I are doing currently,
there is something here.
I do believe there's something here that's got to be polished and fine-tuned,
but let's all just be patient, is what I'm asking.
Be patient.
I would accept a comparison at this day and age to Southern hospitality.
I would think this seems to be right off the bat.
a more chaotic, a more toxic, maybe a little scummier version of Southern hospitality.
That's kind of where we are.
And I think that's, again, a good place to be.
So we'll see how it plays out.
Did you put questions up?
No.
I didn't put them up for any of these.
That's fine.
Catch up.
Yeah.
So we will see how it plays out.
But just stay patient, everybody.
And that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
