Starting point is 00:00:00 Warning, the following film is so intense. We are only allowed to advertise it for 15 seconds. Excuse me? Zussie Bates. They will kill you, only in theaters March 27th. At Desjardin, we speak business. We speak equipment modernization. We're fluent in data digitization and expansion into foreign markets.
Starting point is 00:00:24 And we can talk all day about streamlining manufacturing processes. Because at Desjardin business, we speak the same language you do, business. So join the more than 400,000 Canadian entrepreneurs who already count on us and contact Desjardin today. We'd love to talk, business. I think after this week, I can confidently say, I know we've said it a lot, here and there over the past two seasons. This is the best show on Bravo. This might be the best reality TV show on TV right now. Yeah, I think you're right.
Starting point is 00:00:58 I think it's the best reality TV show. The crew that they've assembled is absolutely perfect. Like no notes across the board. I don't care how you feel about any of them. They're so good for the show and it works so well. It's just perfectly written. When you want resolution, you get resolution, when you want things to draw on for a little bit longer,
Starting point is 00:01:17 they have. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Brov Bros. Good morning, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brab Bros. I'm your co-host, Stuart Russell, joined as always by the one and only Saturday morning cartgoods. That was so close. I had something there. Saturday morning cartoons. You know, I sat, remember back of the day, Saturday morning cartoons.
Starting point is 00:01:55 There's something there. I just, I will dabble here in this. there. Like, I'll throw it on in the background. You know, if it's on. But, uh, and then when pop is here, obviously, we crushed some cartoons, but she's like at that age now where it's like the Nickelodeon kind of older show phase, like the Icarly's,
Starting point is 00:02:13 that kind of stuff. So we, we've graduated into that. And inevitably next is like, I'm just waiting till I get to show her like the shows I like. The next logical step is the wire. California.
Starting point is 00:02:29 The wire is when she's 12. Okay. You're not ready for Omar until you're like 12 or 13. Oh, God. Yeah, a 12 year old walking through saying Omar coming actually would bring me to Oh, Omar's coming. A sixth grader. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 I'm just going to start saying that to people. God, that would be fantastic. But she goes to church on Sunday. Yeah, her Omar's coming. Just look around. God, nothing. Nobody? Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:02:56 No. I actually, I had a hanker into watch, which is, I did. But I, for whatever reason, had the SpongeBob episode where he gets the, uh, the flex arms, the pink leg, oh, the, uh, weeny hut junior. No, that's not Wheatty Hut Jr.
Starting point is 00:03:10 This is, this is the strength competition when he loses the Sandy. And then he goes, oh, hey, sees the. Oh, yeah. And then his arms deflate at one point. Yeah, what, I thought he did the arms in, uh, in the weeny hot one, too, because he goes to that super tough bar. Uh, no, what does he do? And they're like, you go across the street.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Weeny Hut. Junior. Yeah. No, he tries to open a jar of pickles for that one. That's it. Or Steve cucumbers, probably. But, uh, but, but yeah, so had a hanker for that one, got into that. But we're not here to talk about SpongeBob or the wire or, you know, potential problems that we might face with Steele's, uh, young daughter quoting the while watching the wire or any of those shows. We're going to talk about Soho, the best show on TV. What an incredible episode. Just. Flawless execution. I love it so much. I love how they have. handled themselves. We have a little bit of a spillover in the beginning of the episode from last week where it was just an absolute shouting match. And Maddie's ability to be able to do pretty much what we said last week where it's like, okay, yeah, there's no resolution here with T.J. You're not going to be able to move forward with, at least not right now. I mean, in the future for sure. But right now, I mean, he's just like getting in your face and cussing. Brad is open. You can have a conversation with Brad if everybody calms down. The way that she's able to just like
Starting point is 00:04:27 turn on a dime and be like, okay, yeah, Brad, actually, you and I can have a conversation. We're tight. Let's go do this. Joe, get the fuck out of here because he's already, he's de-escalating, which I understand the de-escalation, but you got to have your girlfriend's back. You can't be like, hey, you're raising your voice too, all right? You're exacerbating the issue. No, just take a step back.
Starting point is 00:04:47 You can say that to Brad if you want to have your girlfriend's back, but you'd be doing yourself so much better if you just stayed out of it, buddy. Like, come on, Joe. And hey dude, I know you're listening. Don't do that. It was fucking so stupid. I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, God, Joey. I know you're trying to like resolve the situation.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I understand the goal, right? The goal is that I'm friends with all of these people. Can't we all? Anyway, yes, that's the root of it. But what we watched was you tell your girlfriend to shish. Well, I do. I've been wondering this too. And I don't know if we're ever going to get this or if Joe and Maddie are going to talk about it on the show.
Starting point is 00:05:24 But like, Joe was in that group chat, too. I know. Like if we really want to nitpick here. And this might just be like Maddie. And obviously this episode is very Maddie-centric too. The scene with her sponsor is like top tier television. Oh, that's so good. But I do wonder if there is a bit of that where she's like there's a level of Joe,
Starting point is 00:05:44 you were involved in this, but like we're dating right now and I love you. So I'm not going to have a whole lot of smoke for you. But if you get involved, get the fuck out. Like just take a step back for like a couple minutes. Let me get through this because I could be. lighting your head off and I'm not I'm not adding to the to the fire I'm not throwing you in with brad and tj let me handle it with them first and like we said last week I mean Brad I understand where he's coming from if everything that he's talking about happened after the reunion in a guy's mind
Starting point is 00:06:12 like yeah it's squashed but we also broke down the other side of that where matty has gone through and like at the time she was probably just emotionally drained she's like yeah i don't want to fucking deal with this anymore. And then the months after while she's traveling, she's like, fuck. I mean, that's kind of fucked up. I felt very empowered leaving a relationship where the guy was cheating on me here to find out that he wasn't. And maybe he was. That time. I mean, that guy's an absolute scumbag. But it's still in that moment. It sucks. So she's well within her right to feel some type of way. And if anybody's going to listen to that, it's going to be Brad. Yeah. Brad's always the most reasonable on this entire cast. Like I've gotten that from the times
Starting point is 00:06:49 we've communicated with him, like he just seems like an normal dude. So this is a situation where he doesn't want to blow it up either. Now we come to find out during their conversation. And like you said, Maddie's ability to be able to turn on a dime and kind of reel it in is remarkable. And it's one of the great additions to this show because you can have a scene that's just fucking chaos. And two seconds later, it's like, all right, let's go talk. Fuck you, Joe. That's so good.
Starting point is 00:07:14 With him fucking lurking. fucking creep. I wanted one of them to just look over at Joe and be like, dude, like, get out. Go away. And like, and being like, just for the conversation that we have with Leva or like later in the episode, he's acting like he's cleaning behind the bar. Like that might be the most work he's done in months. He's doing it just so he can listen in on the conversation, which I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:42 I would have loved it if one of them turned. It was like, Joe, come on. What are you doing, buddy? Yeah. But it's not too much funnier. It just makes it so much funnier. much funnier that he's there. Yeah, I agree, but they get to break down the situation. Brad gets to tell his side. And why Brad is always so level-headed is because when Maddie
Starting point is 00:07:59 rebuttals with what she's feeling, he's like, I get that. That makes sense to me. I understand that. Let's figure this out. I hear you. You've heard me. Let's move forward, but we'll work on it. So it's constructive. The other side of this is fucking nuts. And I hope that more attention is drawn to this because when I heard it, I was like, whoa. So the text message gets skewed by the Satan twins, Emmy and Will. Jesus, these two need to be committed, I think. But after the room thing, Emmy showed Maddie the text. It says, you're dead to me too, bitch.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Under the guise of, look at this psycho stalker. He's outside of my room. He's doing this. He's doing that. Maddie had no idea the other side of that was. I walked by the room and heard her laughing saying that they're fucking dead to me. This, that's the others. We can be honest.
Starting point is 00:08:56 They probably did overhear a portion of it and then decided to actively. Like I can imagine T.J. Brad, whoever, with like a cup on their ear listening. I'm sure they're listening. They definitely did. But they heard something that sparked that. Like they didn't just immediately come back from the reunion. They're like, ah, I bet you they're talking shit in there. Let's go listen in.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Let's go like figure out a way, like get down on all four. has been listened to the fucking vents underneath because we're right next to them. Like the room layout, I'm not going to dispute that. Like the room layout is the room layout. We know how that works. If they're all there for the same reason and Bravo or NBC books them, yeah, chances are you've got Molly on one side and you've got Brad and you're in a block. On the other side, like you're in a block.
Starting point is 00:09:35 They can hear you. And those boutique hotels that they probably put you in aren't that well made. So they're very, very thin walls and you can hear everything. So I don't doubt any of that. No, they go to home goods and they just decorate the rooms like a home goods, futuristic room and they're like, this is a cool hotel. It's like, yeah, my sink doesn't work. What's the word that we can use to make this seem upscale?
Starting point is 00:09:54 A boutique. Everybody loves a boutique. I don't even know what the fuck a boutique is anymore. I don't either. You used to be like a flower boutique. We have a lovely outdoor bathroom. Man, that's an outhouse. I know.
Starting point is 00:10:04 It's chic. Man, that's a hole in the ground. But, yeah, I would have the same response if I had to sit through that bullshit reunion and watch Emmy throw in the waterworks. Will's too much of a bitch to walk out there and take the fucking beating that he's entitled to. And then you walk by the room and hear him giggling like idiots, I would have done the same thing. I'd be like, all right, what the fucker? Even if I didn't hear him talking, but I heard him laughing like that.
Starting point is 00:10:27 I'd be like, what's going on in here? So I get it. But the crazy thing that comes from this, Emmy texts somebody else, because Brad gets a text, it says Emmy is saying that you're making her feel unsafe. That is a loaded fucking word that is whether subconsciously or, or intentionally. It doesn't matter. And I hope people understand that.
Starting point is 00:10:50 By labeling Brad, who is a black man, unsafe, has so many more ramifications than anybody that's white. And the fact that she said that, again, whether she meant to say it or not, it's completely irrelevant. It tells you how she thinks. That's racist as shit. And I felt for Brad there. I was like, fuck, man. Like, that's heavy. That's real.
Starting point is 00:11:11 That's a different level to this entire thing. and I can't imagine. I never will be able to imagine, but this man has been to your parents' house. This man has been the shoulder to cry on. He has been a best friend. For you to ever label him making you feel unsafe is fucking ludicrous. It's dirty.
Starting point is 00:11:31 It's low and it's fucking stupid. Like this chick, man, her and Will just fucking suck. No, it's, that's the line that you, if you're Emmy, you can't cross. I mean, I think up until that. point and you know large majority of the time emmy is incredible television like you can hate her all you want but she is an unbelievable she brings good reality tv it's so fucking entertaining just to watch her melt down or just watch her spin like i love watching delusional people spin and this is the line that you definitely can't cross it and this to me is i don't know because her and will seem so calculated
Starting point is 00:12:08 like i wanted to be able to just chalk this up to the typical white person doesn't understand the end of it and used a word that they didn't quite grasp that they don't really understand what the ramifications are by using that word i wanted really badly to chalk that up but they've done so many things that are very calculated so like you can't actually convince me that her and or will didn't use that word specifically to invoke that sort of reaction like unfortunately it is and it's just really shitty yep no it was fucking grimy i felt really bad for brad so the good thing is like you know, Brad's such a likable person on this show that, you know, nobody believes that for a fucking second that you made her feel unsafe.
Starting point is 00:12:47 She's lashing out because she got caught once again. And, you know, the other part of this whole thing is, is, you know, I get Maddie went through it. I get that that's a fucking terrible situation. I am not telling her how to react. I cannot imagine being Joe hearing this stuff about Trevor. Like my soulmate, this, I'm like, I get it. You're still in love with the guy.
Starting point is 00:13:10 but like just because it came to a tragic, misinformed end, it does not change who Trevor was. Trevor was a fucking dirtbag. We saw it when he wasn't cheating on. He's not a good dude. And yeah, sure,
Starting point is 00:13:22 people can change. I'm not saying that he's not going to become a better person. Hopefully he does. But the guy that we saw, like, you're doing better without him. You're on a 40 city tour? You think that would have happened
Starting point is 00:13:33 if you're bogged down by fucking Trevor when you're out on the road wondering what he's doing on his bike taxi? No. I mean, I don't, and I don't really think, it hit that sort of level. I really do think it is what she said it was. I think it's genuinely
Starting point is 00:13:44 like, yes, I think deep down she understands who Trevor was. She knows who Trevor is. Like, you're going to be in a situation where every other fucking week, because you're on a reality TV show, people are going to be in your DM saying that they saw your boyfriend doing this or saw your boyfriend doing that. And unfortunately, that's just who he was. So I'm not going to dispute any of that. But in this instance, it's like, we've talked about it where it's like, yeah, I mean, it was going to happen eventually. He's going to cheat on you. He's going to do something. Like, The relationship was not good to begin with. She knows that.
Starting point is 00:14:12 But again, the circumstances of her breakup, like she said, it's incredibly empowering to walk away. Like she broke the mold. She got out of the spiral. She got out of all that bullshit because of this specific instance. When you take that away, it sucks because it's like, oh, shit, that was this. It's even more important than the straw that broke the camel's back. It's not like there's a million things. And then there was one tiny little thing on top.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Like, no, this was a massive thing that led to me being empowered and leaving. And then she felt so much better afterwards. And then when you're having those conversations, it's like, yeah, I mean, he's an absolute scumbag. Like, he cheated on me. I caught him. I, in front of the girl. I saw his text messages.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I saw all these things. All my friends were talking about it. Once that gets debunked, it's like, fuck. Like all those conversations that I was having with my friends and family about leaving Trevor was very centralized around that fact. Now that fact is gone. It's hard to just spin into, well, I should have left them anyway. I'm much happy to go or whatever it might be.
Starting point is 00:15:07 So I think that that's just a big part of it. And again, it's not like an insurmountable thing for her to like get over that. It's just going to take her a little bit of time. And I think she's going about it the right way by talking to the response or obviously, but talking to the people who did it. And Brad is taking full responsibility. I still think it's really funny that he's like, it was just like a petty moment where like you kept talking about me getting a blow job in the alley.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Oh, it's different, Brad. I know. It's very, very, very different. But also the more you keep talking about this, the more I'm like, I don't know. I kind of want to go back and watch season one because there was some evidence that you were getting head in the alley. Like, do we really want to talk about this? I'm not convinced that Brad didn't get a blowjump in the alley.
Starting point is 00:15:44 I, dude, I'm like 87% convinced that he absolutely got head in the alley. Totally got head in the alley. Yeah. Like, behind the dumpster. Like, I don't even think that people were using like hyperbolic conversations to be like, it was behind a dumpster. It was really dirty back there. It had just rained.
Starting point is 00:15:59 It was disgusting. And he was getting head behind that dumpster. Like, no, I bet you all that happens. Yeah. Yeah, we're on the same. But you know what those years ago, he's a change. And you're not. And Julia, it seems fucking wonderful.
Starting point is 00:16:12 So it all led you to this point. Except for when she got involved. But yeah. Yes, but at the same time, like, that's ride or die. That's a real one. You can't deny that. No, I'm not, I'm not going to deny that. It was the timing was just very peculiar.
Starting point is 00:16:24 It was fucking phenomenal. And look, hey, she's brand new to this show and she brought it the first time on screen and she caused some emotion. So I'll give her some credit there. Now, we're going to move through this two parts quickly to get to Maddie and the sponsor. just because it highlights what this show does so well. Michaels and Lake, they're chatting.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Molly and Lake, totally fine. I guess we had a drunk conversation where I was like, yeah, we're cool. So we're cool now. Fuck, yes. I love that. I think the pairing of knowing that that happened and Lake just being so easy to be like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:16:56 I guess, I remember bits and pieces. I guess Molly and I made up or something. And we had footage of it. Like, how many times have we had... She was so drunk with her glasses on. She's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Sure. Like we know it was at least like 10 p.m. She's got sunglasses on outside, just completely disassociating. Like, yeah, all right. Yep, Molly. Yeah, we're good. We're good, Mary. That's a squash.
Starting point is 00:17:19 And it is. And that's the best part is I don't doubt it. And I know like Lake, my complaints about Lake are just like she'll get into it eventually. She's so young. She's like 21 or 22 maybe. So like she'll figure it out. These guys are well seasoned. And she'll get into the fold.
Starting point is 00:17:33 But not only is it did that happen. And we had footage of it. But also, I don't doubt that it's fully sposhed. Like, I would say in other shows, like, oh, fuck. Like, this is going to come back up in like four or five episodes. In this instance, I'm like, nope, we're done. We're good. We had a drunken conversation.
Starting point is 00:17:48 We're cool. Boom. Let's leave it there. The next time we see those two together, one of them will be at the other one's apartment and having drinks before they go out or something or debriefing about something. Like, they're totally clear. Love that about the show. They always do that really well.
Starting point is 00:18:01 At the same time, this next scene shows what they do on the opposite side of things so well, me and tj are talking and the mattie knocking over the the cutout comes up i didn't think it was that serious this is a big fucking deal this is a huge deal me is pissed 200 dollar cutout yeah i don't think so but okay sure and now she's pissed i'm like all right now we got a new thing great we thought that mad at mea no mea's mad at mattie mea has like an nil deal with sir weeners she's like hey that that's that's my likeness that's my i was there to represent me the first fuck out of here what we're talking about it's the fucking it's uh it's white goodman with the the camera in there exactly yeah when he sends it over average from dodgeball yeah i saw the whole thing
Starting point is 00:18:46 you punched me right in the face but i was watching that's essentially punching me in the face they put a walkie you now yeah they put a walkie talkie behind it and she was speaking through it all all night yeah anyway that gets us to mattie and julia uh julia is fantastic she was such a great little addition by lea or something l is it lea I don't know. It said Julia on the screen. So if it's Leah, I apologize. But she was great.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Now we know that Maddie, she's been 11 years sober. She's been very open about this journey, which I very much appreciate. And I appreciate doing this on screen. So people can kind of see behind the scenes of, you know, she seems to be a 12-steper. This is kind of the standard. You have your sponsor and you debrief with your sponsor, kind of about everything. If something's going on, as she explains, like, this is your co-to person. It's kind of your soundboard to make sure you're not going nuts.
Starting point is 00:19:35 or if you are going nuts to reel yourself back in. But it was a very good representation of kind of how this process works, you know, and how those of us in recovery that have sponsors, how you lead on that person. So I love when they do stuff like this. I think Maddie really embodies recovery well on a network where we don't see it that often. Yeah, seriously. I mean, honestly, she's been heard Shane Davis right now.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Yeah. We might be in actually pretty good hands for this type of thing. I agree. I think between the, they both, they do it in a relatable way where people can understand. And that,
Starting point is 00:20:12 that means a lot to me. But she's trying to figure out, did I go too far? And a good sponsor is not somebody to enable. A good sponsor is Leah who goes, what the fuck? You made a PowerPoint? You said,
Starting point is 00:20:23 go. No, don't show them that. The fucking PowerPoint was incredible. You say that we've never been friends, that we've never been cool. Here I am on a trip with you. Here I am staying.
Starting point is 00:20:35 at your apartment. Here's us sleeping at the same bed in the hotel. You're going to tell me that we're not friends. Fuck you. Here's you with my mom. He's obsessed with my mom. Weird. Everything she said was so fucking funny. And she's telling her sponsor this. And she's like, did you, you, you didn't send that to him. Did you? No, no. Should I send this to him? I'll send it to him right now. No, absolutely not. Maybe a later day. We'll see how this goes. But you keep that one talked away. So you came home from this party and you were so pissed off. that you made a PowerPoint to prove it wrong. A log PowerPoint.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Correct. Yes. I love that because instead of using her energy for going after him in some other way, she went home in the confines of her own house, in the very comfortable space and created a PowerPoint. She got all of her negative energy out about TJ via PowerPoint. This is like, you add that to your resume. Like when people say they're proficient in the Microsoft office, this is what they mean. I'm proficient and deescalating myself.
Starting point is 00:21:32 I make powerpoints. and then asked my sponsor. She always tells me I can't send them, but one day, maybe she will. And it was just a great scene, you know, watching Leah just check her and, like, reel her in a little bit to be like,
Starting point is 00:21:45 you know, I'm not calculated. What the fuck? You made a PowerPoint. That's extremely, this whole thing is extraordinarily calculated. So you're wrong. And,
Starting point is 00:21:53 you know, there's a way forward in this. And she goes through the base, like this is what you're able to do is we kind of chip away at all the craziness to get down to, where she's like, you know, the Trevor thing still hurts. And like, that was my soulmate. And that's the stuff I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Again, I'm not telling her not to say that. She has her process. I'm just wondering, like, if I'm Joe Bradley listening, like, oh, that's got to sting. Yeah. I mean, honestly, it's one of those situations where, like, again, he was in that group chat. And we talk about it a little bit later with Mia, too, like, who was actually involved at all of that. But it ended up with her leaving Trevor then finding Joe.
Starting point is 00:22:31 So now that she's having all. of these other feelings, which again, like you said, this could just be her process. And I don't really falter for it, honestly, because like I said, when you remove that one incident, it's like, where would we be today if that didn't happen? Would I still be with him? Would we have worked on it? Would he have matured? What do you have done things that I needed him to do?
Starting point is 00:22:48 Like, would we have been in a better place? Like, you don't know the answer to any of those questions. So I don't think it's that crazy that she's spiraling into that. Like, she's thinking about all of those things. Like, that's a normal process to me. And again, talking to your sponsor about it, somebody who knows you very well. Like that's the thing that I feel like came through the screen the most is that your sponsor knows you super well. She knows your tendency.
Starting point is 00:23:08 She knows better than anybody. And she's able to help you through this in such a good way. Like this was better than any of the fucking stupid-ass therapy scenes that we see, especially on the West Coast with our housewives, any of the life coaches and all that bullshit that pops up. This was real. This was perfect. This was unbelievable. This whole scene was it like brought you closer to Maddie who she is.
Starting point is 00:23:29 It explained who she is and how she ticks. But also it was funny as fuck. Like, it was just genuinely funny as hell to watch this whole process because they have such a good report. And it shows that recovery works. And that makes me happy. It shows that recovery is cool. Yeah, damn right. Anyway, we're going to keep on trucking.
Starting point is 00:23:51 It does open the door for a potential T.J. and Natty reconciliation because that's the whole point is like, don't resent. Just give him an ultimatum almost. It's like, look, that can't happen again. I'm willing to sit down with you, but it won't go that way or I'm going to walk away from this forever. So it's a way forward. And we get to TJ and Austin. Austin, Jesus. Justin, I can't type apparently.
Starting point is 00:24:15 TJ and Justin was on the show last year and Justin replaced Austin. Thank you. All right. Maybe that's why. Now, we get to learn more about Justin, who is an intriguing character for sure. So as we know, he moved to Australia with an ex, got a little too freaky. a threesome gone bad. You know, we've all heard that, that old shtick.
Starting point is 00:24:35 So that went down south. And then we learned more about his, his sexuality a little bit. And he's a little fluid. We love a fluid king around here. So, you know, he's like, I'm like 30% gay. Dude, this is Marcus over in VPR. Like, we, they didn't know.
Starting point is 00:24:50 This isn't like a cut and paste or anything like that. Marcus talked about this at the reunion of BPR. He's like, yeah, you know, I think most straight guys are at least a certain percentage. I'm probably somewhere between 80 and 90. Justin's like uses somehow the exact same comparison while they're filming probably simultaneously. Like this is great. This is the new age Bravo.
Starting point is 00:25:11 I love this. I actually really like Justin. I think this scene kind of fortified him is a lot more, a lot different than what I thought he was going to be. I figured he was just going to be like a random fuck boy, which, you know, Charleston has no shortage of that. And it was just going to be plug and play,
Starting point is 00:25:26 like we've said before. But it seems like he's got more, even though he says, because we get the clip of him and Molly on a date where he's like, yeah, I'm an onion. I've got a lot of layers. I smell like an onion too. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:25:38 It's so gross. Does this work? He's him. It probably does like for certain people. Like that's the thing. And that's what I appreciate about him. And that's, I agree.
Starting point is 00:25:47 This scene kind of sealed the deal. I'm like, okay, I fuck with this guy. Yeah. Because he's, he's him. Like he's himself.
Starting point is 00:25:54 And I am always down for people. No, he's not him. I'm him. Okay. He's not him. You mean the Lord, right? Capital H.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Him. No, not him like that. That's what people are referring to. No. I mean, he's himself. He's authentically himself. And I appreciate that. I love that he's not afraid to speak out about who he is, what he enjoys.
Starting point is 00:26:18 That's great. So this was actually a cool scene, I thought. And I think it's nice. We haven't really seen TJ have like a connection like this with one of the guys in the, in the friend group since him and Joe kind of had that that weird interaction. Yeah. So it's nice to see him have a dude or he can like really link up with him again. Like you can see TJ cut loose because we do get a lot of TJ.
Starting point is 00:26:43 You know, he seems guarded a lot of the time to me. And it seems like he gets kind of lashing outy. So it's nice to see him in a space with one of the guys where it's like, okay, so he's having fun again. Yeah, yeah. This was this was a carbon copy of a scene from like the first or second season. with him and Joe where they hang out there just drinking a little bit of wine, just kind of debriefing.
Starting point is 00:27:03 And yeah, I mean, you could point to TJ and be like, well, I mean, you don't have those relationships because of the way that you're acting and the way that you react to things, which is fine. But I always do think, especially with the show like this, that that door is always open for resolution. I think so. The door is always open for at least a sit down where you can start working back. It's not like a lot of the other shows where it's like, ah, yeah, you guys are not
Starting point is 00:27:24 going to fucking get back together. Like, we're just going to watch this whole song and dance every single season. and it's never going to work out. Like, I do think genuinely within a season or two, him and Joe will be better, him and Maddie will be better. Him and Brad will be at odds for some other reason. Like, it's just, it's cyclical. So we'll have to see how it goes.
Starting point is 00:27:40 But this scene was, it was just dudes hanging out. I mean, dudes just gifting dick decanters or dick canters, if you want to call it. Which, by the way, that's the most ridiculous fucking thing I've ever seen in my life. It's not even practical. It is not efficient at all. One, it decants. I guess. But like the hole at the top is,
Starting point is 00:27:58 too small for it to actually decant. And also it just gathers in the balls, which, you know, well, I think the balls are the decant because it bubbles through the balls. And that's where you get the air is rising through the people. But then when you pour it back out, you have to go like this upside down. The pour is a problem. It trickles out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:14 It's a problem. Check that thing's prostate. Do you think you have to flip it the other way? Maybe he was doing it the wrong way. Maybe the dick's got to be. Oh, is it like Das Boot where you have to like time the spiral? Yeah. Oh.
Starting point is 00:28:27 That's exactly it. Well, I'll get one. I'll report back. Yeah, let me know. That'd be good to know. I think it would be a very funny piece to have in your living room. Just going to throw that out there. I'm going to start looking.
Starting point is 00:28:38 I'll put one flower in it. I'm going to start looking for a decanter for you. I'll get for like the pod anniversary. I'll buy you a decanter. How about that? I appreciate that. Yeah. Cool.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Got you, bro. Now, let's get to Republic with Michaels. Oh, we also found out that Justin has smooched both Michaels and TJ. They'll make out sush. So, I don't know if we'll get that again. Maybe on camera, we will see. But as long as it's not like one of those things where they quarter the guy and they're like, hey, I felt something when you kissed me.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Are you sure? And it's like, no, I was just kissing. Like, I don't want one of those scenes. Just one of those scenes. You just smooching. Just fun smooching. Just fun smooching. Don't make it anything more than that.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Yeah, it's fun smooches. But let's get to Republic. And Maddie's already getting at a better place. She seems a little more chill at work. She's talking to Brad again. Things are starting to get better. And Brad is inviting everybody except for Emmy to volley house or something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:40 It's one of his clients like shanky ass houses. They're going for the weekend. It's his anniversary with his girlfriend. So it's like a big deal. I like the way that he had this all set up too because he's going down early. Him and Julia get to have like a nice little anniversary day. He's got like a private dinner all set up. And then the chaos can insuit.
Starting point is 00:29:57 the next day. Like that, practically speaking, if you're on a show like this and you would wait everybody down for that first night, it is no longer about your anniversary. It's no longer about anything romantic. So he did both,
Starting point is 00:30:08 which is perfect. That's what I want to say. I agree. It was nice. It was a nice call. Well done, Bradley. And of course,
Starting point is 00:30:16 Emmy catches wind and she's furious. Oh, oh, Brad and Maddie are cool. No, well, what about me? You don't get to compare the shit they did to Maddie to the shit that's happening to you.
Starting point is 00:30:27 because Will fucking cheated on you. And you are too delusional and blind to accept it. That's different. It's not the same situation. Go ask anybody on that fucking campus. They saw him with different women all the time. He was in a bathroom with a woman that he had previously had sex with consoling each other. What are you doing, lady?
Starting point is 00:30:48 Don't ever try to compare the Trevor situation to the Will situation. It makes you look dumber and you're already not doing a great job. And I don't like to talk about people like this very often, but get your head out of your ass and stop being a fucking moron. You don't get to point fingers, be like, oh, my God, they're getting olive branches, but I'm not. No, because you're racist and your fiance is a fucking scumbag. This show is sponsored by Liquid Ivy. Of the Regency era, you might know it as the time when Bridgeton takes place, or it's the time when Jane Austen wrote her books. The Regency era was also an explosive time of social change, sex scandals, and maybe the worst king in British history. Vulgar history's new season is all about the Regency era, the balls, the gowns, and all the scandal.
Starting point is 00:35:27 Listen to Vulgar History, Regency era, wherever you get podcasts. Sorry. Jesus Christ. I'm so sick of it. I'm going to be the devil's advocate. Ebmy, keep doing what you're doing. It's funny. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:44 I mean, it's really goddamn funny. I love the flashover. Because if you piece it together for the first and second episode, we saw that look on her face when she realized that Maddie was quote unquote on her side. I still don't think Maddie's really on her side. It's just a comment on the evil smirk, like a cartoon character. She's like, oh my God, the season just started. I thought I was going to be alone.
Starting point is 00:36:07 And here I've got the heaviest hitter on the cast with me. She's like twirling her evil mustache. One episode later, Brad and Maddie are cool. I'm not cool. What the hell? It's almost like she left me in the dust. What the fuck is going on? I thought this was going to be a bridge for me and Brad being cool.
Starting point is 00:36:26 No, it's not. But keep thinking that because it is very funny to watch you crash out. Fucking Looney Tunes, bro. It's insane. Oh, boy. Well, that gets us to a very interesting part of this episode. So Michaels is the first one to point it out. We don't need a run through either.
Starting point is 00:36:46 We know from like the preamble of the season, like what they've been up to. Joe's been following Maddie around all over the country. I kept going back to that conversation. last season in my head with Leva where she's like, Joe, look, man, the future's yours. Just show the fuck up. I got you, Leva.
Starting point is 00:37:08 No problem. I got it under control. Can't wait to have my own business. And you went and toured the country with your girlfriend. Okay. So now you got Michael's the manager saying Joe doesn't do a fucking thing. He's my VIP host. He doesn't host anything.
Starting point is 00:37:23 He's not teaching Justin. He books tables online, which is my favorite. of the whole thing. He's still, look, this is a double-edged sort for me. Because one, Leva had that conversation with Joe,
Starting point is 00:37:39 and the conversation piece of that was, I'm thinking about taking off for two months so that I can follow Maddie. And she said, Joe, you can't be doing that if you expect to keep your job. Like, if you come back, I can't guarantee that your job is still going to be here waiting for you.
Starting point is 00:37:54 He said, okay, I'll figure it out. And then they had a conversation. where Leva said, me and Lamar, look at you. And we said, that's a guy that we can run a business with. That's a guy that can have equity in something that we're going to open in the future. I'm sorry, Leva.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Maybe she's just doing this for the show. I don't know. But you cannot look at a guy who just said, I'm going to take two months off to follow my girlfriend around the country while she tours and say, you know what, Joe? You're a great guy. I want to open a business with you. That's all he heard. He didn't hear the first part anymore.
Starting point is 00:38:23 All of a sudden now he's like, fuck, this is my chance. I knew it. I'm good. all my hard work is paid off. I get to take two months off and come back and open a business because T.J. opens Sir Wieners. T.J. opens nothing. T.J. has a fun business that's really cool that they use existing properties for.
Starting point is 00:38:40 And they have a certain day at Lamar's sports club or at Republic where they get to sell their wieners. And he does it outside. That's way different than opening a restaurant bar with your name on it. Like he wants the Tom TomTom treatment. So once she says that, it's like, that's all I heard. You want to open a business with me. You're in love with me.
Starting point is 00:38:59 You want to marry me. I love this. This is perfect. Let's do that. No. That's not how that works. So part of it actually is Leva's fault because, like, you know, you tell Joe something like that. He's going to be like, wow, this is great.
Starting point is 00:39:10 I'm running with this. I expect this as soon as I get back. I'm partners with Lamar now is what he thinks. Did Levin think he was going to work harder because you said that? Like, no, he's not going to work harder. He's going to be sitting and waiting until you open a bar with him. Like, that's what he's going to do. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:39:25 And like, I'd be remiss to not say like, TJ went out and bought the hot dog cart. Yeah. And he went out and went to Levin said, hey, I want to try this. And to TJ's credit, is it a standalone yet? No, but he's got legs. Like this wiener business is cruising. He's building it. He's building a business.
Starting point is 00:39:43 He's doing it himself, though. This is a small business that has support from people that he knows that have existing established businesses. Yes. That is vastly different than you opening a bar. Correct. It's just it is. Like, that is so different. There's millions of dollars invested in that one.
Starting point is 00:39:59 TJ spent like five grand to buy a hot dog cart, some merch, and a couple other things and probably went broke while doing it. Like, that's way more of like the small business story. What you want is a bar handed to you. You can't compare the two. You want a bar handed to on a street that is flooded with bars and nightclubs. Like, you know, and unfortunately, like you said, that is all he heard was I get a bar. Okay, great. So when he goes into this meeting with Leva and it's,
Starting point is 00:40:29 they're going there to have two completely different conversations, right? Joe, he walks in and goes, I'm 100% right at open spot. Leva goes, but you haven't fucking been here. What are you talking about? Well, I have dreams. No one's denying that, brother.
Starting point is 00:40:47 No one's denying your hopes and dreams. You got to show up to enact them. And we gave you an opportunity. last year and said, hey, and Joe, like, I love Joe. But I love him so much. I do too. But like, dude, you work at a bar. You are wildly replaceable.
Starting point is 00:41:05 You work at a bar in Charleston where there's college kids fucking everywhere that would love to work at Republic with all the hot ladies working there and coming there. Like, you're actually very easy to replace. What you lost was that it factor that you did have. I will give you that. You were somewhat the face of this thing. You were Levin Lamar's going.
Starting point is 00:41:23 to. But you took that and your head got too big and you thought you made it. No, dude, you're still a VIP host. Like, you're still hosting at a bar for an employer. And they gave you a roadmap to get out of that. And instead of listening and hearing, even this second chance you're somehow getting because it's reality TV, you're welcome. You're still like, where's my respect? You got to fucking earn it. You went on the road and left your boss high and dry. She doesn't respect you. And she shouldn't you left her in a weird spot you're training your replacement Justin like listen to what she's telling you don't rebuttal don't rebuke her with well I might be arrogant for say yeah if you start the sentence to your boss this might be arrogant stop talking don't finish your sentence
Starting point is 00:42:09 dude that's my favorite part of the whole thing the ebbs and flows of like he went in there with probably I don't know two or three lines that he had rehearsed and he knew how it was going to go And then she threw a wrench into the whole thing by saying you're replaceable. But he still had those lines ready to go. So he did the arrogant line. Like, Joe, read the room. You should just be groveling right now. This is not going how you thought it was going to.
Starting point is 00:42:34 He's like, no, I'm still in a position of power because I'm still the face of Republic. I'm going to handle this. But when he's talking about like his reasoning for leaving, he says, you know, look, Maddie has a lot of anxiety. So like she needed me there. That might be true. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't.
Starting point is 00:42:50 But when I go back to last season, And Maddie's talking about going on the road. She didn't want you to go. She said if Joe follows me around, I'm going to kill him. So wait a minute. Does she have anxiety and she wanted you there? Or look, and maybe things changed, obviously after the reunion. Maybe things changed in the relationship.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I don't know because we don't really have any evidence of the contrary. But that's what I go to is the evidence that we have of Maddie saying she's going to kill you if you do follow her for two months. It seemed to work out. You're still alive. Still kicking and screaming out here. But that is such a funny reason. for your boss. It's like, hey, you know, Maddie. I mean, she's, she's got anxiety. She need to be there. I still book tables online. It's like, dude, you have to be here. You can't do that for whatever
Starting point is 00:43:31 reason. And that's part of the reason why I love him so much because the delusion of thinking, I'm still the face. Like, yeah, I took a couple months off, but I was still doing my job. Like, that's how important I can be is like, no, dude, like, you're not in a position of power. You don't get to sit down with Levin and have a conversation about ready to open this bar or do whatever. You haven't had any conversations since last year. So it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But again, I keep going back to that conversation that Leva had. I'm like, you shouldn't have told this, man, this. You know he's going to run with this.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Yeah. You said too much, Leva. And Joe, like, he's not having remote meetings on the road. You know, you're not phoning in from Tokyo on a business trip. You're in Vegas with Maddie in a penthouse, which is cool. It's great. If that's what you want to do, go follow her. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Like, you're still young. You're in love. You're early on in your relationship. your girlfriend's got all these opportunities to go traveling and go do what she does best go enjoy yourself i'm not going to knock you for that no but don't expect to have a job when you come home yeah that's the only problem like i support you to go do those things like that rocks that's going to be so fun it's cool those memories for the rest of your life go ahead and do that you're still young go enjoy yourself but don't come back and be like all right where's my bar where's your
Starting point is 00:44:47 restaurant you're building it while i was i was gone for two months there's nothing there's no You need me republic? Jesus, dude. Well, God, I can't. I love them to pieces, though. But we also find out that Mia has broken up with Troy. And, you know, if there's one thing that Mia is, she's a very strong and confident person. And she knows what she wants.
Starting point is 00:45:10 And she's been waiting for the move to Charleston. Troy wasn't moving. So wipe the hands. Yep. We might see a little budding romance between her and Justin, now that she knows that he's not gay. so we'll see about that. I don't know. I don't know yet.
Starting point is 00:45:24 I think I'm going to learn more after this. This party we're about to go to at Folly House or whoever's house this is. Is Folly, like, is it one of those where like, oh, this is such a stately home. We must name it. No, no, no. I think it's the Follies. I think they showed, they showed the sign because I thought it was, like, there's Sullivan's Islands. There's the Follies.
Starting point is 00:45:47 We're following. Oh, so this is like, this is just an island. It's below, like it can't be that far away. I never really looked it up. But it's probably the equivalent of like us driving to the shore from here. Okay. Probably like an hour, hour and a half away down south somewhere at one of the client's houses. Like I don't think it's like some congressional like old historic home.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Like no, it didn't look it. I just more meant like it. It was because I think it's even funnier in my head when people with new money and I don't care new money versus old money. I just think it's funny when someone builds a brand new house. That's like clearly like yeah. They have like the modern house and they're like, oh, this is the Folly House like that.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Yeah. But that's where my head goes. Anyway, while we're there before the craziness ensues, we get a just wonderful scene between Julia and Brad. Brad, you need to marry this woman. That is the most thoughtful gift I think I have ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 00:46:41 When she broke that card out and he read it, I was choked up. You know damn well I'm having like the most miserable fucking morning right now. And even in that grief, I watched this scene. And I was like, that is so goddamn sweet. She really gives a fuck. And I just really like, there's just a nice little scene, you know? And not to mention Julia was also the one that was telling him, hey, you need to bring Emmy on this trip, by the way.
Starting point is 00:47:07 She's a real one. She stood up for you in a scene that she probably shouldn't have. She told you to squash things with Emmy to not make it worse. And she got you a card with your, a note from your father who passed away. Like, I fucking love this lady. She's great. No, she's incredible. Honestly, I think the thing that speaks volumes the most was that little clip that we got of her telling Brad in Republic.
Starting point is 00:47:31 You got to invite Emmy. I agree. If you're going to be able to get to a point where you're talking to Maddie and things are getting better, you have to extend the same thing to Emmy. Because as we know, and as Emmy has told us multiple times, Emmy's the one who set them up. Emmy's the one who got them together and talked Brad up, which makes her kind of. comment that much more ludicrous that she's able to sit there and talk a man up to her friends, get them into a relationship, they hit it off,
Starting point is 00:47:57 they're doing really well, obviously with the sweet scene that we saw there, and then pull it all back and use a word like unsafe. Like you can't do that. That doesn't make any fucking sense. I will, however, say, as we know,
Starting point is 00:48:09 as we're getting ready to go on this trip, Brad did listen to Julia. He did pull Emmy aside. I was going to say, not to cut you up, but just it's perfect to that moment. his response to Julia I was like this is a real relationship because he's like
Starting point is 00:48:22 you know what you're right I was like wow this is so grown up and he'll honestly he'll probably be the first person to admit it he's like look I'm being fucking petty like he always does that anytime he does something that we can identify as all right Brad that's a little fucking petty he'll go to his confession he'll be like yeah I was feeling like a petty
Starting point is 00:48:38 little bitch like okay cool great and not the unsafe thing's not being petty no no the unsafe thing is a real issue unfortunately that's very very real but still even after that. Like, this is after having the knowledge that she was using that word and telling other people that and texting them from New York. So he knows all of that. And still, he's able to listen to Julia and be like, yeah, you know what?
Starting point is 00:48:58 You're probably right. I should at least extend it just so we can hear her out. Like, we don't know how it's going to go. But you don't know until you know. So if Emmy's going to be just walking around Republic, bitching about how she's not invited, okay, you're invited. Look, I invited everybody else. We're not in a good place. Let's see how it goes.
Starting point is 00:49:17 we'll come down there. We can have a conversation. We can figure some things out. But it seems like you're at odds with a lot of people. So it might not go super well. And this is one thing I'll always give Emmy. She'll show up. Like the delusion of showing up and being like, this is just going to be a good time.
Starting point is 00:49:31 We're going to be able to figure some things out. I'll be able to speak my mind. It's like, ugh, God, Emmy. Like, you don't have to have the wherewithal. Like, honestly, like, I want her to go from a show standpoint. But, like, it is encroaching on a lot of different levels where I'm like, dude, it's like, 15 versus one. Like you have to know that going into this.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Like they are going to feed off of each other. And if Maddie is already cool with Brad and she's probably going to have a conversation with TJ that's on the horizon that they can both see, they're not going to all start fighting on your behalf. Like at some point, they're just going to wash their hands and you're going to get fed to the dogs. Like it's bound to happen. So you have to know what you're going into.
Starting point is 00:50:10 And that's one of the most charming things about Emmy on this show is she doesn't know that. No idea. She does think she does think she's going to be able to go down there and have individual very low-key conversations with people and figure everything out, it's just not going to happen. But again, kudos to you for going on this trip. Yeah. And like, you know, the ball is to say, I don't love that I was invited to the last minute. Oh, dude, you should be stoked. You got invited, period. What are you talking about? I'm not going to be the ones that turned out an olive branch. Like, you are so fucking delusional. I love that, though, because that's at least consistent.
Starting point is 00:50:43 She walked around and she wasn't invited. And then she goes over and she's like, I don't. don't love that I was invited last minute. It's like, okay. It's just nuts. Why would you be on the fucking A list? Like you wear it afterthought or whatever. She's never going to be the person that's like, I'm just happy I got invited. Like, nope, she wants to be that person that's invited first. And you know what? Okay. It's exhausting, but it is great for TV. I agree with you. But I again, credit to this cast, credit to this show. We know what the setup of the weekend is. We know why we're coming to this house. We know what the goal is. It takes. takes 10 seconds for me to get into it.
Starting point is 00:51:20 And that's why we've been talking about Mia the first few episodes and missing her so much because she does this. But she does it in a different way. Like she has a different air about her. And I think it's like a level of respect that the group has with her, but also they don't want to fuck with her because she stands 10 toes down every single time. Like she has convictions that I respect the shit out of.
Starting point is 00:51:43 And she's like, hey, because Maddie hugs her. Hey, what's up? The fuck, get off me. You're going to knock down my cutout, my fucking cardboard cut out, my likeness. That was paid for by TJ to represent me at this event. You're going to step all over it. That means something. She reads her to build, and Maddie is so taken aback.
Starting point is 00:52:04 That's the one thing that I laughed out loud out, though. She's like, that means something where I come from. Like, where do you come from Detroit? I don't know what that meant. I think you're from, I thought you're from Charleston, too. I don't know. Where are we coming from the people? people have cutouts of other people and you're
Starting point is 00:52:18 making that as a sign of disrespect. It's so specific. Weird to cutout mafia are you in? That means something where I come from. Yeah. Hey, I've never actually seen the situation before. In my family, we all have cutouts to replace us from we're not at home.
Starting point is 00:52:30 So when you knocked out a cutout, that tells me something. But as this show does so well, and because I think Maddie, Maddie is tough as nails, but I think me is too formidable because she just believes her. She's like, I'm not in the group chat.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Okay. Well, that's, it's honestly, it's a clash, like, you know, the like, a move of the Titans. Yeah, it's a clash of the Titans, honestly. Because I know how Maddie's going to go about it. And Mia catches her off guard because she's expecting like, all right, let's get the niceties out of the way. We'll probably have a couple of drinks.
Starting point is 00:53:06 And then something's going to pop off inevitably. But I just got here. So like, let me get some time to get used to the water. And let's figure this whole thing out. No, that's not how Mia operates. But I like the way that Mia operates because like you said, like she goes immediately into it, gets it off of her chest,
Starting point is 00:53:22 which is another thing that I just love about the show because we don't have that fucking bullshit of, I'm going to talk about so many things in my confessionals. And I've got a problem with this person and, you know, we'll see how it goes. But we're going to have to have a conversation. Then like seven episodes later, we have that conversation.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Like, we're over it. We don't fucking care. With Mia, she'll have that conversation with TJ and Molly sitting down. She'll then have that conversation in the confessional. And then the next time she sees Maddie, she talks about it. Like do it right away.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Get the shit off your chest right away. Otherwise, it's going to eat away at you or the viewer is just going to lose interest. So it works really well for pretty much everybody, honestly. And Maddie, I love the way that she goes about it because she'll listen to reason. She will listen to what's going on. She doesn't just have this air about it where she's like,
Starting point is 00:54:03 fuck this. I don't care. Get out of my face. We're not doing any of this. It's more of like, okay, why? Like, tell me what happens here. What are we doing? So when it comes down to it and me is going through the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:54:13 And she's like, I'm not even in that group chat. I have no idea. you're talking about. I didn't do it. Again, this is when I'm like, Joe's in that group chat. So why are we not just checking Joe's phone, but whatever. But with Mia, she's like, yeah, I'm not in that group chat. I like the confessional matchup where Emmy texts the group chat. And then Mia gets a ding on her phone. And she's like, oh, I guess I am in that group chat. I don't do not disturb. I missed all this. I would have gotten involved. But I missed all this. I believe her. I do too. Yeah. That's like the most truthful, relatable thing ever.
Starting point is 00:54:43 Yeah. I don't think that she was checking in. I think it was ding, ding, ding. and she probably muted it for a while. And then she's like, oh, fuck, I wasn't that. I don't think she portook. And I think if you go back and scroll, you could probably vindicate her from that whole thing. I hope this is the end of a lot of people's involvement with this particular issue. Like, I'm ready to move on.
Starting point is 00:55:02 I get that Maddie has her process. I'm not saying she needs to move on. I want to start seeing resolution. So I'm glad that we're starting to see the Domino's fall. I hope that it has some longevity here. obviously Emmy and Will behind the scenes are going to try to throw a wrench into that whole thing, which is going to be probably the bulk of the season. Like I would imagine that she's going to be moving around trying to flip people for the entirety.
Starting point is 00:55:29 That's kind of my prediction. And like you already know with at least like three of them it's not going to work. Like she'll never be able to get me a TJ or Brad on her side. Correct. We've already seen a quasi alliance with Maddie. Joe will do what Mattie's doing. You might be able to pull in like a lake, but like there's not going to be enough of like a formidable force. Like Michaels isn't going to go on that side either.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Michael's season for who they are. And again, Michaels is in that weird spot where he's also the manager, but he's really, really getting involved this year, which I love. It's just going to be kind of interesting because I think they are at odds for way too long. And I don't know how it's going to go. One thing about Emmy, she's going to continue to put herself in positions where her she will crash out, which I always just absolutely. adore. But it's going to be an interesting rest of the season for that because, again, we just watch Mia and Maddie come to terms, like figure everything out. Like, okay, I hear you. I hear you. Let's have a good night. And they will have a good night. Like, there's no weird like fall cities in
Starting point is 00:56:27 there. But with Emmy, it's never going to play out that way. And as we know, after all, everything all gets squashed and we're all good. And everybody's walking around like, thank God, we're good. We got this out of the way. Let's have a good weekend. How about we just have a nice weekend here and don't really get into it. No, we're actually going to sit around and talk about all of the ways that Emmy and will have fucked with our lives because we're all at good terms, but 30 minutes later, Emmys crash it out. The noise that they used to just, like, impact us with Emmy's crash out was so well done. And it's so goddamn funny. And it's 30 minutes later. 30 minutes after we're all in a good place. Now we're not. We got to get into this. Let's just do it now. I can't wait for next week.
Starting point is 00:57:09 I think it's going to be fucking phenomenal. Emmy Crashouts. I'm on, I'm on vacation next week. I'll be down in Florida, but I will probably watch this live, and I will make sure that we, we'll get a little podcast going.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Yeah, we'll get a little remote action, a little vacay pod, because Emmy Crashouts are unmatched. They are in a league of their own. But let's see what the audience has to say. All righty. first one up here from hi i'm casey maddie's friendship PowerPoint or lindsay's boyfriend powerpoint do you remember lindsay's boyfriend power point i do oh i think linds just because
Starting point is 00:57:50 she walks so maddie could run kind of deal yeah yeah and it was so that was like we're at a point now where if you whip out of powerpoint i'm like oh that's funny when lindsay did it it was just not even on my radar so i was like oh my god yeah jaw drop yeah uh from pretty ricky 22 i love But he was also in that group chat and is getting seemingly no smoke. That's what I'm talking about. I think that him and Maddie probably did have a conversation about it. I'm sure. I'm sure it was a situation where like, I mean, they're dating.
Starting point is 00:58:21 They basically, I think they live together. So show me your phone, Joe. Let me go through this whole thing and see everything that they said. And I think that was enough of a penance where she was able to get through it without like maybe he wasn't actively involved in that planning. So that was enough. But she still got some sort of smoke for him. It's just not nearly as much as a.
Starting point is 00:58:39 everybody else love this full of a tuk honestly no notes this show is perfection it is really is honestly oh wow there's a lot of show questions in here yeah yeah lake and joy 11 did joe bradley also know that trevor cheating was a lie that would be a huge betrayal in my opinion i think he knew but like i don't know oh see this is interesting Face of the angel, not a question, but Emmy's not a good TV. She's creeping up to be dangerous TV. Can't watch her. I think she's fantastic TV.
Starting point is 00:59:23 I kind of see what you're saying. Don't be reaching a level of unsafe. But for a little, I don't know, man. She's pretty fucking great. Then you got two in here from Suez, Greg Brown, and Melanie Leah J. did you know that Maddie or sorry that's at CBMC-124 and Melanie Leahjay. Did you know Justin dates Charlie now from Southern Charley?
Starting point is 00:59:49 I saw that when we did our Southern Charm. Somebody asked that question. I think we addressed it. I didn't know that, but I also don't really keep in touch with like active things. I'd rather just watch things happen on the show. I'm not surprised though. It's fucking Charleston.
Starting point is 01:00:05 I got one to end on if you have one or two more. Okay, I'll do one more. I got two more, actually. So many questions about Joe in the group chat. I know, Joe. Yikes. Oh, God, that's so funny, though. Oh, I like this one.
Starting point is 01:00:20 Oh, wait, you're probably going to use that as your last question. So I'll let you do that one. From Megan. Oh, no. Okay. I'll skip it. From H.M. Faulkner, took your advice and started Soho.
Starting point is 01:00:31 You were right. It's amazing. I'm hooked. You're welcome. Look, we don't lead people down the wrong path. We always give you good. suggestions. You'll be able to tell if we're really not enjoying a show. We can't hold it back and we definitely can't fake it. This is something that we really enjoy.
Starting point is 01:00:46 We're batting a thousand on show wrecks. So listen up. Yes, we are. All right, two more. This one is just actually a pretty good observation. Pixie Angel 42. Are Will and Emmy also giving you all early Ariana and Sandoval vibes? I can see the connection there. I feel it. No, not at all for you. No. I get it a little bit. I mean, Will's not on the fucking show, so no. No, I just mean the vibes that they're giving off. I feel it where Ariana was just staunchly defending Sandoval. Like, he could do no wrong to spend all the evidence piling up.
Starting point is 01:01:19 No, I got really pissed off actually because Bravo posted a like a photo dump of Soho. And it was all the people on the show. And then there was a picture of Will and Emmy and they tagged and or Will in it. And I'm like, why are we tagging people who are in the show? Yeah, don't do that. Yeah. And then people are, I've been, oh, I've been in the comments making funny comments on things. but yeah
Starting point is 01:01:39 the funniest one I think was somebody I was in like a bit of an argument about like an anime that I watch and I was on TikTok and then somebody commented on it. It's like shooter what are you doing here? Oh yeah
Starting point is 01:01:57 fuck out it is my personal life. I have other interests too. Oh man that's fucking great. But the last one here similar to the one that you just read from Megan a yaha'u'lla 18 as newbie soho watch or what season do i start with one episode one season one and you're welcome one and i'm jealous that you get to start this this show over you'll see
Starting point is 01:02:19 the growing pains in season one but it's still fantastic you'll see them hit their stride last year just fucking or two years ago and then last year last year was exceptional and then this year's just fuck i mean it's a great trajectory that this it's a fantastic show Just a fantastic show to start from episode one. Yep, facts. But yeah, I'm glad that our audience is finally listening, finally watching the show. Well done, everybody.
Starting point is 01:02:48 But that's all I got. You got anything else? Nope, all good here. That's our show. Rob Bros. are out of here. The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time. And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the decisions that the characters make.
