Starting point is 00:00:00 Wait, was that the group chat? Ah, sent a text to the group that definitely wasn't for everyone. You're good. Enjoy some goldfish cheddar crackers. Goldfish have short memories. Be like goldfish. Bank more oncores when you switch to a Scotia Bank banking package. Learn more at scotiabank.com slash banking packages.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Conditions apply. Scotia Beck, you're richer than you think. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm karma.
Starting point is 00:00:51 And yes, I am a bitch. Bravo's. You're ruthless tonight. Welcome back, O.C. But... Oh, yeah. Let's move on to our fifth. Favorite couple, Ryan and Jen, you can tell.
Starting point is 00:01:03 My friend, my friend. Yeah, my, you notice that? My friend, no, no, oh my God. As soon as they're walking in, they get seated by the waiter. The waiter, or I guess they get seated by the hostess. The waiter walks over and Brian goes, how are you tonight, my friend? And then as soon as he starts ordering, he goes, my friend, I'll have the, I don't know why the fuck that stuck out to me, but he is such an unbelievable douchebag. he is the fakedest motherfucker in the world he has the same like louis face i don't know if you've
Starting point is 00:01:34 noticed it but as soon as the camera goes on i'm watching how he yes yeah exactly and the way that he talks you can tell that he's trying to be this stand out stand up guy that's going to do right by jenn and the kids and all these different things look motherfucker we watch sports we know who you are you are an international bookie pretty much you you you you are involved in the show hey otani deba i wouldn't even call him a bookie he's not even cool enough to be he's the middleman he's the middle man he's the money guy that goes back and forth and he's not doing anything extra he's just delivering the money you're a fucking you're an amazon delivery driver you're you're an errand boy that's what you are you're an errand boy with with big digits behind
Starting point is 00:02:19 it and who knows how much that you actually get to keep but i'm glad that we got that clip of like later this season at the end of the episode and they touch on that that i was like fuck yeah we're gonna talk otani that's great for all of those out there that do not know what this whole thing is just research right what's his last name no yeah research ryan oh see show hey otani and read up on the whole gambling issue because the fact that he's tied to it is so incredible and also shows you who this guy actually is he's not the dude that's smiling saying i'm going to solve all your problems babe move in with you with me. But before we get to the move in with me, we hear about this disaster of Jen's living
Starting point is 00:03:03 situation where I guess Will, her ex-husband, who was working for her parents, no longer works for his parents. As part of their separation or divorce, I guess he was responsible for the majority of her rent, has not been paying that. She makes it seem as though she was unaware of that until the landlord reached out. Yeah, I don't buy that at all. I don't either. Like, we even touched on how weird it was that Will was still working for her parents' ranch. Where was it? Oklahoma, I think it was an Oklahoma. Yeah, that sounds right.
Starting point is 00:03:37 One of those. And we thought it was very bizarre last year. But she was still in touch with him. The parents were still in touch with him. So no, I don't believe that you didn't know about this until the landlord reached out. Where are you sending your money? Are you sending it to Will and then he's paying the rest of it and you're just assuming everything's fine? Honestly, that's a dumb move.
Starting point is 00:03:55 You're paying your separated husband. It's incredibly irresponsible. I think it would actually be worse. If you were hiding this and you didn't want people to look at you and be embarrassed, sure. I would actually support that. But if you're pleading ignorance, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's never. Yeah, we talk about it a lot.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I don't know or I didn't know is never the right move on these shows. It's going to come out. You know it's going to come out. Just say it. Just get to the root of it. Yeah. Gina is your real estate broker. Of course she's going to find out of it.
Starting point is 00:04:24 When she let slip later, I'm C-Ced on all these emails. Like, if you were any other housewife, any other housewife, that shit would be public domain at this point. The fact that Gina didn't blow up her spot is a huge credit to her because she could have. She could have screenshot it. Maybe that goes against, like, the real estate broker's oath. Yeah, she wants to keep her job. Yeah, they take a Hippocratic oath. Hypocratic oath of real estate.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Always have to help people. No, but seriously, the fact that it didn't leak is a testament to her. There's a lot of housewives that would have let that leak or put it in. in a bedazzled notebook for the reunion. She didn't do that. She did bring it up, I guess. But it was in a classy way. It was in a good way where we still get to hear it and she's still involved.
Starting point is 00:05:09 But, you know. It's about her job and being less credible as a result of it. Yeah, she made it about her. Yeah, and I'll take that all day. But as Ryan's trying to work through this with her, fucking denim Ed Hardy, Ryan is like, just move in with me babe just move in with me bring the kids and she's like well what if it doesn't work out why wouldn't it shall we list the reasons like what do you mean god forbid that we talk about why it wouldn't work out i don't know you're a serial cheater one you're involved in a
Starting point is 00:05:46 massive gambling ring two you wanted to bring her kids over to the house while you are literally in the paper right now for aiding and abetting show hey otani's poor fall guy Yeah, I'm really hoping for her sake that she did not move in with him because obviously that would be very messy. She definitely did. All of his assets got frozen and he was probably kicked out of his house anyway. So now she has to figure it out anyway. So hopefully she figures something else out. She 100% moved in with it.
Starting point is 00:06:14 The way that she said that you saw that moment at the end of it. It was almost that like when you see it in movies, that acceptance of where it's like somebody's pushing for the other one to move in. It's like, come on, we can do it. just take the leap like i don't want to do it no just do it we could do it and then when they finally give in they're like okay and you can just see the body language change i know this isn't a movie but you see her body language change i'm like oh fuck you're going to give into this like this is a way because on one end it's a way out for you right you can get away from the fact that you owe all this money you're still going to pay it back but you no longer need to pay rent
Starting point is 00:06:50 moving with ryan like that's one problem major problem taken care of it's going to be messy There's kids involved. I don't like it. I don't like it at all. I don't like it at all. I don't like Ryan at all. It's all about the kids. Rule number one, leave the kids out of it.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Do not bring them around denim jacket, Ryan. No. That's rule number one foot B. Fuck Ryan. That's good. One foot B. One foot B. Fuck Ryan.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Keep him away from your children. But we move on. We get Hemm, Hemmley. Hemley. Hemley. Heather. Emily and Alexis, and they are sitting down and having lunch and getting reacquainted. Shannon is invited to the party.
Starting point is 00:07:36 As we find out, Alexis is invited as well. We learned that Alexis' mom has passed away. Then we start getting into the John Jansen and everything. And she's got the ring from John Jansen. We saw that on social media, the promise ring, whatever the fuck that stupid thing is. It has no actual importance. It's just, it's like. This is going to piss people off, but what's the ring that that Catholics wear with the heart on it or it points one direction and it points another direction?
Starting point is 00:08:05 Oh, that's a collada ring. That's Irish, really Catholics, but yeah. The Pena Collotter Ring. That's what I'm talking about. No, but that's like, it's almost that where it's like a promise ring. It's something that if you want to give it value, sure, but it doesn't actually mean anything. So for her to flaunt it around like that is such just to fuck you to Shannon. and another like brag about john jansen johnny jay by the way johnny jay that's his new big dick johnny jay she's
Starting point is 00:08:38 like that's my johnny jay that's a thing and he definitely started calling himself that oh my god yeah yeah i'm absolutely good um yeah call me johnny jay i need a rebrand i hate that heather supported the rebrand i know i don't support that i don't care if she's your friend or not you got to call it out for being corny lot of rings we'll do that another time because that is absolutely not what that is but um are we think about the same thing then yeah it's the heart with the hands that point out or point in i thought they point it for your you buy it for yourself you don't buy it or like a family member buys it for okay i thought that it pointed one way if you were single and points another way if you're taken it is but you usually buy it for yourself but anyway buy them solo no no no that's fair
Starting point is 00:09:20 i want to because i don't want to piss people off that actually wear them so if you are bad at me I didn't need to take a big But yeah I mean obviously he needed a quick rebrand It's like he's a whole new guy He's a completely different guy He's not dating Shannon anymore He's a good dude
Starting point is 00:09:34 And boy oh boy did he swing that thing around Stepping into people's booths here and there He's a complete scumbag And I hate, hate, hate That Alexis starts this off by going after Emily Emily didn't say anything bad about you What are you defending your boy You're defending your boyfriend of one month
Starting point is 00:09:51 Two months maybe and I love to have John for years. She knows John. Absolutely. And Emily points that out. Like, yes, she absolutely knows him better than you. You've only known him for two months. So don't like, just don't take offense to that and don't make this your story.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Actually, you know what? No, do make this your storyline. We did agree to that. Make this your storyline the entire season. I want you to try to defend him the best you can the entire time and fight with Shannon about how she wants him back and you've got him. Like he's some prize. It's going to be really funny because he's not a prize. a piece of shit but this is where I'm going to get I'm going to have a hard time this
Starting point is 00:10:27 season I'm going to try my best to separate and compartmentalize a little bit because things like this are going to get under my skin oh you're going to trust a drunk that just got a DUI let's not throw the word around like that and let's not add insult to injury here like she's going through it is she doing it 100% the right way no but she is trying and she's talking about she's open about it you just entered the scene let's not throw that rock that one pisses me off i've talked about that before when people don't recognize that they're saying he's a drunk or he's a drug addict or he's this like it's a junkie is a big one that people throw around it stings more than you think it would which is probably a lot of people don't know that and i'm not saying that
Starting point is 00:11:13 you're not going to ever say it again like shit happens but just be aware like it carries a lot more weight than you think. And to belittle it like that, where it's like, oh, you're going to trust a drunk that just got a DUI. It's like, okay. But Emily's known Shannon for a long time. Emily is also known John for a long time. And she has heard from Shannon. She's seen John in action. It's not like she's never had a bad interaction with the guy. So no, it's not just taking a drunk's word to just got a DUI. It's personal experience, one, and trusting a friend. You don't just like throw it all out the window because she made the worst mistake of her life like that's when you lean and help your friend so fuck you Alexis i i hate her dude i don't like her but you know what it's going to be
Starting point is 00:11:55 fun to hate her so i'm okay oh agreed she's good for the show she's she's good for the show i'm not saying get her off i'm saying fuck Alexis that's what i'm saying yeah yeah but no she's good for the show but emily confirms in a confession like yeah john's a douchebag and that's where you get he's my Johnny J. He's my Johnny Jay. Rebrand. So embarrassing. It's so embarrassing. He's a 50 year old man. Yeah. You're not Johnny.
Starting point is 00:12:23 You're not Johnny J. You are John Jansen. Johnny Jann, maybe. Johnny Jann could be. The Jan man. Oh, I like that. The Jan man. Yeah, we're calling him the Jan man from now on. But let's keep trucking. We get to Shannon and Mike, her lawyer. And this is a moment
Starting point is 00:12:40 I appreciate it. It's a moment I actually liked. had respect for because he says, look, he can do three years probation as you've been serving now. When you get through that probationary period, you can go and petition the court to have your, what is it, no contest thrown out and you can plead not guilty, pretty much scrubbing this whole thing. She says, I don't want to do that. I want to take accountability for what I did. I did have DUI. I did do this. I don't want to. And he says, look, it's standard practice. This is like a thing it's not trying to give you special treatment or preferential treatment it's just part of the process if you want to go that route i appreciate the fact that she says it even if it's
Starting point is 00:13:19 just for tv the fact that she is take this is where it's tough because she's taking accountability she's saying this is where i fucked up but the the short end of the stick here is the fact that yeah you are but then you're going to say i'm only drinking two drinks i was a bad night blah blah blah, blah. That, I said those things. I said those things a lot. Until you address it, no, we've seen you, man. Like, we've seen you not just the night of the DUI. We didn't actually see you the night of the DUI. We saw leading up to all that bad night after bad night after bad night, friends asking you, trying to help. And that's where it also becomes more of an issue as well. Like you can't ask people to stay patient with you when you're going through
Starting point is 00:14:04 these things. At some point, they're going to start to check out, and that's their right to do so. So this is going to be very nuanced watching this whole thing play out. I love that she's taking accountability. Wish she would do with a different approach. But Summer's here, and you can now
Starting point is 00:14:20 get almost anything you need for your sunny days delivered with Uber Eats. What do we mean by almost? Well, you can't get a well-groom lawn delivered, but you can get a chicken parmesan delivered. A cabana? That's a no. But a banana. That's a yes. A nice tan. Sorry. Nope. But a A box fan? Happily, yes. A day of sunshine? No. A box of fine wines? Yes. Uber Eats can definitely get you that. Get almost, almost anything delivered with Uber Eats. Order now. Alcohol and select markets. Product availability may vary by Regency app for details.
Starting point is 00:14:48 The white chocolate macadamia cream cold brew from Starbucks is made just the way you like it. Handcrafted cold foam topped with toasted cookie crumble. It's a sweet summer twist on iced coffee. Your cold brew is ready at Starbucks. Looking for a movie review show where the critic is at the top of his or her game, meticulously breaking down and explaining exactly why a film does or does not work? Well, good luck with the search. Because we're having fun here on Adam does movies. Each and every week, I hit the big blockbusters, I cover the streamers, and I even toss in some movie news for fun.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Check out the show on Spotify, on Apple Podcasts, on YouTube. And hopefully, we can do movies together. Hot. This was a decent moment for her, I thought. I appreciate it. I fully agree, too. And we talked about this before. Everything that she's doing in these scenes, everything she's doing with her family scenes.
Starting point is 00:15:43 And even when she's confronted a little bit, she's saying the right things. I just hope for her sake that she believes them. Yeah, that's a good way to put it. It's a good way to put it. But we move on. We get to Tamara and her daughter, Sophia, who is now allowed on TV again because she's 18. Her father did not want her on the show. but now that she's 18, she can and she's chill.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And Tamara, self-awareness, I'll give her credit here. I don't know why she's so good because I'm a train wreck and she's not. And I'm proud of that, but I don't know where she got it from. I love when Tamara starts to try to get her to talk about her dad. And she's like, we're not talking about that. Yeah, no, okay. Okay. Yeah. Great call. Great call.
Starting point is 00:16:29 No, just not going to do it. There's a reason why he didn't want me on this show to begin with. I'm not going to sell you that. But then all of my points for Tamara went out the window immediately when she, I'm sure the situation with her daughter, Sidney, is very sad and upsetting. And it's something that probably genuinely bugs her and upsets her every day. Not taking away from the gravity of the situation. Do you really think that this is the correct route to go about it?
Starting point is 00:16:58 We're going to talk about it on TV to garner sympathy from the audience to try to guilt your daughter into talking to you again that's all i got from that yeah now that's that's a thousand percent all i got from that and then i started to feel bad for her other daughter who is on tv because now you have to talk about an uncomfortable situation where your sister doesn't want to talk to your mom anymore and now we have to talk about it on tv and i have to give her a hug i honestly when i saw that hug i saw it coming it was just a shut up mom hug yes please for both of us just stop it. I don't want to deal with this.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yeah. I just want to get my tattoo of a moon on my elbow. Shut up. Inner elbow, yeah. Inner elbow. That's in the tattoo world, you call that part the pit. That's a pit. And then it's just above on the bicep.
Starting point is 00:17:45 So she's got the old lunar pit. The lunar, it's above the pit. It's the above pit moon. It's the lunar pit eclipse. Yeah, totally. I think we nailed it. Yeah, we got that. We got that. Tattoos. We move on to Gina and Travis, and this is where they're talking about everything and
Starting point is 00:18:06 the separate living situation. And Travis makes a good point. You know, we've worked four and a half years for this family. Is this pulling us apart? Yeah. Like, I understand why we're doing it. I agree with you. Like, they're in agreement with it, but neither of them are happy about it. How do we tell the kids? And Travis, again, very mature. Oh, just like, look, this is one of those shitty things that we have to do it as adults and they don't get a say in it. And that's not necessarily fair. But that's life.
Starting point is 00:18:35 And that's life for a lot of people. But I do really, really like how they communicate. I like that they let us in on this scene, that we actually have to see Travis talk that we get more out of Gina. Again, more out of Gina this episode than all of last season. This was a good scene. It's a sad scene, but it's a peek behind the curtain into their life. and we needed that and yeah yeah we definitely needed that and we didn't get anything from Travis last year we just talked about him a bunch and I had a really hard time because we don't
Starting point is 00:19:06 really know him that well figuring out where his head is is he I felt like he was a little closed off but maybe that's just how he is maybe he just doesn't really he's a little shy a little camera shy maybe it is the cameras maybe it's who he is or maybe his ex has made his life entirely miserable and he is kind of shutting down I was trying to figure out exactly where his headspace is because yeah i agree with you i like their communication i like that he's still talking about this talking about our future talking about where we are what can we do to get out of it blah blah blah blah but i couldn't tell where his intentions were like was he having this conversation because the cameras were there or what are we going to see moving forward and and look i mean we're
Starting point is 00:19:45 going to figure it out pretty quickly i think because he's going to be on a little bit more and gina's in a different headspace where she's now talking about all of this and considering the separation so we've got that scene, I guess, from the trailer where he's driving off and she sadly just kind of waves goodbye. So it's going to be sad no matter what happens, honestly. Just hope for the best here. No, hope for the best for the kids' sake. Yeah. How about that?
Starting point is 00:20:09 That's what we hope for. But we get a quick touch on a scene with Alexis and Emily. And I'm only pointing this out because I am now under the impression that Alexis has been watching Miami. and is taking plays out of Larsa's book. Okay. Because they're sitting there and she makes some weird reference. And Emily's like, wait, you're talking about how much sex you have.
Starting point is 00:20:33 That's what you're talking about. Yeah. Don't care. Do not care. None of us care. None of us care how much you're fucking John Jansen. I can't, I cannot stress this enough. Don't talk about it.
Starting point is 00:20:44 It's gross. We don't want to hear it. And that's where I'm like, she thinks that she's hot shit. And she thinks that, oh, yeah, we're fucking all the time. Shannon never fucked him all the time. Cool. Don't care. Don't want to hear it.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Don't want to have that image in my head. No, and it's there now, and I hate it. Just looking at the Jan man. Just the Jan man, man. But we move on immediately so we can get away from that scene. And it's Gina and Katie. Katie is Gina's friend. It looks like she will be a friend of for the entirety of the season.
Starting point is 00:21:16 It looks like she takes on Heather Dubrow. We even get a clip of Sutton at the end of this episode. Oh, yeah. And Sutton's like, I wouldn't fuck with either. Like, you're playing a dangerous game. And I like that Katie might be able to step up. I think it will be ill-advised. And I actually have a prediction.
Starting point is 00:21:33 It's not going to land. Well, I don't think I'm going to enjoy it when it happens. No, I think so, too. I think that it's going to be clunky and it's not going to make a whole lot of sense and she's going to try to make a name for herself. If it's in the context of what's going on, I'm fine with it. Do whatever the hell you want. As long as it makes sense for the scene or for the show or whatever the hell
Starting point is 00:21:52 going on with the whole cast if you force something bad call not a forced moment yeah yeah the the newbie the newbie forced moment as a full-time newbie is tough to watch it's all a forced moment from a friend of that's even worse so if she plays it right could be great if she does try to push something it's going to be irritating pretty quickly but i like first impression of katie i liked her i also like when the they're all sitting by the window we're about to get to that scene like trying to read lips and she's in the back and she's like oh no this is this is amazing and then it goes to confessional she's like this is like what did she say the world series of tea or something like along those lines she said uh she said i feel like yeah i really like watching tea and i like
Starting point is 00:22:36 spilling the tea this is like the NFL of spilling the tea yeah good good line like that i like her so far so she's off to a good start but we get to uh the rocky balboa bay party um see what I did there? Philly, Rocky, Balboa. Balboa. Balboa. He's in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:57 But another funny moment from Katie, Heather introduces herself, oh, it's so nice to see you again. And Katie's like, that's the first time she's ever actually said hi to me. Funny. Good move. But also sets the stage for some issues between the two of them. So we'll see how that pans out eventually. but I feel bad for Heather because this looks like a nice party. Is there a point where there's too many stations?
Starting point is 00:23:32 Are there too many stations at this party? It becomes an issue when you're forcing me to do all the explanations. Yeah. It's not even just the explanation. It's when I think it was a little bit later when Katie walks over and Tamara was yelling at her or somebody was yelling at her. Like, you got to do this. You have to do this.
Starting point is 00:23:49 over here. Like, no, just let me, let me mingle. You know, the stations are cool. They do a good thing. If you want to get involved, you go get involved. That's not for me. Just don't force me to do the stations. Yeah, that's, you wouldn't do any stations. I know. No, it's like the stations of the cross. I'm not going to do it. No. We're talking a lot about religion tonight. Yep. But Alexis arrives. And look, I know that Tamara coined you Jesus Jugs in the reunion those years ago, stop. Yep. Please stop.
Starting point is 00:24:24 This is another Larsa moment for me where it's like, we get it. You got a moment, you had a moment a while ago. You're going to keep hammering us over the head with it. Like, stop because a lot of people like that quote. I've heard that quote for years. if the person that was deemed that name forces that name, it's similar to a rebrand of Johnny Jay. If you tell me that's your name.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, like if you, Shooter Magouter, before you were named Shooter Magouter, I won't say your legal name for, you know, NDA purposes. Yep. But if you came up to me when we were in high school, it was like, oh, yeah, my friends call me Shooter, I probably would have told you go fuck yourself.
Starting point is 00:25:05 And we probably wouldn't be friends now. Absolutely. You can't just force your own nicknames. But Shannon pulls up, and this is her first foray back into the group since the DUI. She said, I've been around kind of my own circle of people, my inner circle. And you can feel the tension. The highs are awkward. Everyone's kind of tiptoeing around everything.
Starting point is 00:25:28 She immediately addresses the elephant in the room. She's like, I don't care about John. Like, I'm over that whole thing. She's got them. Do not care. She looks great. She does look great. and seeing her in the SUV on the way there where she's like doing like the hot dog so she keeps her dress straight that's fucking funny to blur out a little bit down there but yeah yeah again she's doing that so she doesn't get any lines in her dress like that was funny that's a funny moment from shannon but she immediately gains a friend back with gina because she just apologizes she goes i'm sorry for anything and everything that i did to period no butts no carried on sentences there i'm sorry
Starting point is 00:26:07 sorry and Gina's flabbergasted and immediately shipped then she goes look you're doing your best you're going to keep doing your best like we're we're here for you like it's so fucking funny across the board on bravo when you see people actually have real moments of either sympathy remorse understanding even a real apology a real apology like what happens afterwards you gain a friend. Yeah. I do think that, and I don't want to give Shannon too much credit here, but I do think that she was doing that.
Starting point is 00:26:43 Maybe she had a little bit of perspective saying, oh, I did all these things to Gina last year. She could come from me very quickly. Let me go right over to her, apologize right to her face and see if I can mitigate this risk. It could be a little bit of that. But again, I want to give her credit because she's doing other things really well. She's owning up to a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:27:02 So maybe this is one of them. And I'm going to put that in that bucket for now. I'm not going to try to say that she's being manipulative because Gina is easily manipulated, but. Manipulated. Yeah, ED. She's easily manipulated. What is it?
Starting point is 00:27:19 E. What the fuck? It ends in an EAD. Yeah. Anyway, I, I don't want to give, I don't want to give Shannon credit. And I'm going to let her go on this one. I'm going to assume that it was genuine because we don't get genuine apologies on these shows.
Starting point is 00:27:33 So I'm going to take it when I. can get it. Yeah, if it was great. If it's not, we'll, we'll find out eventually because she's going to put her foot in her mouth. It was just nice to see, like, it wasn't dragged on. It was just, I'm sorry, it's okay. Yep. Great. Episode one, we like a quick resolve. We don't need shit carried on for too long. Great job. Great job, everybody. With Amex Platinum, access to exclusive Amex pre-sale tickets can score you a spot track side. So being a fan for life, into the trip of a lifetime. Starting point is 00:28:41 You can get protein at home or a protein latte at Tim's. No powders, no blenders, no shakers. Starting at 17 grams per medium latte, Tim's new protein lattes, protein without all the work, at participating restaurants in Canada. So we move on after that and we get to the Shannon and Alexis chat. And everybody wants to watch this not just us they want to watch it doing with that table by the way they were trying to get into the shade and i think they i don't know why the table was necessary because they didn't really use it you got to pull it down no they didn't use it at all i don't i don't understand it was shannon i mean obviously she's trying to get into the shade maybe it's really hot out we'll say that but were
Starting point is 00:29:24 they doing that to get away from everybody else to get away from i mean the cameras are going to walk down and obviously have you so i i don't really understand it was it a move or was it really just to get into the shade? Maybe both. Maybe to get away from the group. I think that especially for Shannon, I'm sure she's still hesitant to be close to them, especially if there's like grievances being aired.
Starting point is 00:29:49 So it was probably to get a little more separation. Probably for the shade as well. I looked hot out there. Why the table was, that was like, remember men in black when they're taking the test and Will Smith pulls the tent for like, 30 seconds. That's what it reminded me of. Yeah, that's definitely that. But you know what? If I'm
Starting point is 00:30:07 Shannon, I want to have this conversation in front of other people. And again, like maybe she's doing this because she wants to do the right thing and do this alone, a little one-on-one conversation, try to squash it. Obviously, Alexis has a different agenda, which we'll get into. But maybe that's what she's doing. If I'm Shannon, though, I want to do this in front of other people so that we can hold Alexis accountable. If you're going to go into it and try to keep a cool head, which Shannon did the entire conversation. If you're going to do that, and Alexis is going to pop off and make this about Johnny Jay or Janman, whatever you want to call him, if she's going to try to do that, then everybody can see Alexis for who she is. I'm trying to apologize here. I'm trying to get to a good
Starting point is 00:30:45 place, and you're forcing this conversation somewhere else. So yeah, it could be one of those two things. I'm just not sure. I think time will tell with that one. We'll see how this whole thing shakes out. I know what Alexis's approach is going to be for the majority of the season. She's making it pretty apparent what her stance will continue to be, how Shannon deals with it is going to be interesting because history tells us you can only poke her so much before she has a reaction. Like the fact that she remained as level as she did, and that's maybe because she wasn't drinking that day, so she was able to keep her composure with it. We've seen in the past, if you keep pushing, keep poking and prodding, you get that visceral reaction
Starting point is 00:31:30 out of her and usually it's not great. So I'm curious as to when that will be. But I do think that we're going to continue over and over again to just get Alexis trying to hammer home like, I stole your man, I stole your man. And there's more to it than that. No, that's absolutely what she's going to do. And again, if she leans down that path, we're going to be happy about that because we get to make fun of her higher season.
Starting point is 00:31:57 And it's really funny because if that's the only thing that you have, And you came back for this sole reason just so you could do that. You're dating John Jansen just for that reason. Then that's all you have. You're not going to be able to do anything else. So it's going to be really funny to watch that. Again, I'm going to give Shannon a lot of credit in this conversation because I feel like she held her own.
Starting point is 00:32:15 She didn't blow up. She kept things on topic. And she even denied all of the John of it all. If you want to keep it that great. You want to talk about the cease and assist. You want to talk about how Alexis led you down a path that you had to pay $500,000 out of your own pocket? $300,000.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Was it $300? Tamara paid $500,000 and Shannon paid $300,000, allegedly. I still thought that the number was probably inflated, but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt on that one. You want to keep it on topic and talk about that. If all Alexis has is, hey, I'm dating your man. Don't you want to back? Big Dick, Johnny Jansen. By the way, we're having sex every night.
Starting point is 00:32:53 And boy, is this fantastic. Check out these Jesus chugs. Like, that's what she's just going to keep doing. So, yeah, if that's all she's. got, then that's all she's got. I just hope that Shannon can realize that and say, you know what, this isn't even really worth my time because you're going to turn this conversation into whatever it's not. That's where I lose faith. I don't think she's going to be able to keep that separation of church and state because I think eventually she's going to get riled up. Maybe it's because of booze.
Starting point is 00:33:17 I really truly hope that we don't get a bad drinking scene out of Shannon this season. But even like that aside, I think she's going to reach a tipping point where she's going to snap and go after her. But the lawsuit thing that's valid like she has a right to be upset especially if it ended up she didn't have to pay but like all of those whatever that money went to attorney fees that's what it seems like i don't know that much about so i don't want to speak that much on it right but it does sound like whatever the lawsuit was she did not was whatever the word is not found guilty i don't think that's what the phrase is but you know what i'm saying yeah so yeah if she's got a bone to pick with you because your name was on the cease and desist and then you claim to have nothing to do with
Starting point is 00:34:00 it and you're like i was divorced from him for six months at that point you don't know how much i need her to have the receipt i need her to pull that piece of paper out with alexis's name on it i hope so that would be because then you're she already doesn't have a whole lot of credibility in my eyes if she has the receipt with her name at the bottom then i don't i will not listen to her anymore No. And that's again why I point to the fact that she should have had this conversation in front of the other girls because somebody like Emily, you just apologize to Gina. and maybe she'll start to have your back a little bit. But Emily probably would have stepped up and then like, oh, yeah, do you have that? And then you can pull it out.
Starting point is 00:34:41 And then it's a conversation because you can go back and you can say whatever you want. People are going to believe whatever they want when it comes to a conversation that they couldn't hear that they were just trying to read your lips the entire time, which was a great scene, which is really funny because that's like, it's just so high school and so great. And I love when those little things come back. But yeah, you need a little bit of accountability here. And I feel like she could have gone back and said whatever she wanted. And somebody's going to pull that receipt.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Maybe Tamara comes back around. I don't know if Tamara's really going to get involved with Alexis. I imagine she would. But we're not really sure if there's a lot of bad blood there because it doesn't look like there is. I could see Tamara getting cozy with Alexis and them squashing it just so that she can be anti-Shannon because it seems like that's the approach she's going to take this season. Right. So that would be a weird move, but a very Tamara move to get buddy, buddy with Alexis and try to dig up more dirt.
Starting point is 00:35:34 that's the route i see it going tamara's going to sit with alexis become best friends with her try to dig in on anything that john has said to alexis about shannon take that information use it against shannon when she deems the most appropriate time to drop some kind of bomb on shannon yeah which again take the reality show out of it man this is somebody that's very fragile and just got a fucking dwey like maybe tread a little lightly let's not try to take her down yeah and i get it like and again because we're on reality tv will go with i at least me personally i'll go as far as if shannon antagonizes you for something in the realm of something you're doing yeah you can point it out sure okay but you you don't fucking bring it up randomly
Starting point is 00:36:23 you don't bring it up just to take a jab at her and you don't do it when she's beating you in something because it's just it's a cop out agreed it's too easy it's the lowest hanging fruit on the tree so yeah i agree with that i did i also loved all of the women like with their ear pressed up against the fucking window trying to read lips like that was a funny scene and that was part in part why this was such a solid episode yeah the camaraderies there the groups back together everyone seems like they're at least on speaking terms like it's a solid start to the season there's a lot of routes that this season goes very well and and we'll eat our words from last year there's a lot of ways that it doesn't and i hope that it continues down this path i hope
Starting point is 00:37:07 that we continue to get they all brought their a game today and that's all you can ask for especially in the home opener like you need them to bring their a game and they did it was a solid start to the season so i'm cautiously optimistic moving forward i'm sure we'll have some clunkers i'm going to try to stay open-minded because i don't want to be too stingy just based on on bravo as a whole right now. I don't want to be overly critical just because we have a history of not liking this show. Agreed. Yeah. I'm curious how much of that happened. It was just one season though. But it was 60 episodes. Look, it'll never be as bad as that one season of Beverly Hills or really any of the most recent seasons of Jersey. That was the turning point of like housewives as a whole.
Starting point is 00:37:53 It's that 24 episode season of Beverly Hills is when everything, Rina, that whole disaster. That's when it all came crashing down that's my theory that was the season that finally put the nail in the coffin of fuck we need to rethink this yeah but look i'm excited it's nice to have a housewife show on that i'm enjoying housewives are back housewives are back for now and then we got uh new yorks got to be coming out somewhat soonish i i believe that's the next one up and alana is filming obviously there's a lot going on there yeah yeah we talked about that on our community Zoom last night. So if you're not a member, go ahead and sign up. You can listen to our takes on that. I'm sure we'll talk about it at some point again as well, because it is a lot
Starting point is 00:38:38 happening. And we want Atlanta to be good. That's one of the crown jewels of Bravo and Housewives is Atlanta. So hopefully they can figure out their way back. But all of that to simply say, there's light at the end of this tunnel for now. And that's exciting. I'm excited. Good light. Good light. Yeah. And. And Anywho. Anywho, no questions tonight because Steele and I are really cool and we watch this episode early. We got a screener. No big deal, guys.
Starting point is 00:39:09 We got a screener. So we got to watch this. That's why we dropped this episode the minute the episode started. Right now. And now we're speaking into the future. Whoa. You didn't know the bros could time travel, did you? We're the ghosts.
Starting point is 00:39:25 The future's past. Yeah. Call me Steely Jay. call me the jadman the jad man the jad man the the shoot gout oh i don't like i don't like you want to go shoot some gout you want to go shoot some gus i don't know what that means but i don't care for it i don't like that note i'm going to go shoot some gout no god i just day clicked oh yeah no it's gross i don't like that you pointed upstairs too yeah i don't like that no i'm I'm going to go watch TV.
