Bros & Shows - RHONY: A New New Re-ReBoot? Could Work! (RHONY Full Recap S16E1)

Episode Date: September 10, 2026

What's up bros?? We're in our new new third era of RHONY and maybe, just maybe this one will work! We actually say that with all sincerity as this episode was actually pretty entertaining. Maybe the s...trategy of 3 of the only interesting cast mates from the last rendition of RHONY + newbies will actually work out being that they have friendships with these new cast mates. Either way, let's hope we have another good housewives show or at the very least, a watchable housewives show. God, the bar is so low. Thanks OC & BH! Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 Ready or not, Roney is back. The long-awaited reboot, the re-reboot, the re-reboot, the re-re-roney reboot is back, is here. I think even saying long-awaited might be a bit of a stretch. It's sort of a forgotten show that came back and we were like, oh, yeah, okay. And look, it's not bad, one episode in. So we're going to give our feelings on that. But generally speaking, I would not be surprised. about 65% of Bravo watchers.
Starting point is 00:00:31 We're like, Rony? I guess. Is this the same cast? I forget about everything. Until you start watching it, and then you realize what's going on. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:00:44 And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Bravo Bros. Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another. episode of braf bros your favorite podcast from the bros for everybody for whoever wants to listen i am your
Starting point is 00:01:07 co-host steel russell joined as always by the one and only ronty mgooter what's up dude new y mcgutts new y goots i was expecting like maguter stewart or shooter stewart or martha mcuder something along those lines the way this episode that started off yeah no no no yeah no yeah no yeah no yeah no Look, what a way to introduce a semi-new cast, which I've got feelings about, and surprisingly positive feelings, actually. I think they may have done something good here. We'll have to find out as the season goes on. But for now, I'm pleasantly surprised.
Starting point is 00:01:48 But starting off the episode, just throwing out Martha Stewart. Like, here we go, guys. Here's Martha Stewart. You guys all wanted her. She's not a real housewife, but she's going to be involved in some capacity. So let's just get this over with as quickly as possible. Here you go. I liked it. I liked setting the tone with something like that.
Starting point is 00:02:05 You know, there was a lot throughout this episode where they're clearly trying to make a statement. They're trying to show you that this show is what you wanted to be. First impression, I thought it was fine. Like, I had no problems with it. I think the biggest thing, and we talked about this the first time we tried to reboot Roney, it is important to try not to compare this directly to OG Roney because it's just simply going to be a different show. But as far as like entertainment, I was entertained.
Starting point is 00:02:37 The drama doesn't have to be anything. It's episode one. Obviously there's pieces that they're trying to push. But I really don't have an issue because I think the other thing that's really important while watching the show is think about some of the other franchises we have going right now. Okay. Is this better than OC? unequivocally, yes.
Starting point is 00:02:56 I only mean, like, if people are going to be harsh critics of this because it's not OG Roney, that's not fair if you're comparing it to an OC. This is a better show one episode in than the entire season of OC. Yeah, that I can get on board with. But look, this was not Bravo's intention, but it does kind of work out. And it's very interesting for strategy purposes. And I would love it if someone came out and was like, this is exactly what we wanted to do.
Starting point is 00:03:26 The buffer of those two seasons, three seasons, of whatever it was, the reboot was. Two and a year off. Two and a year off. That buffer was enough, I think, to push all the people that were clamoring for old Roney and Roney Legacy and all of those things. And look, obviously there's going to be a spinoff show
Starting point is 00:03:45 on a different network that we will also cover with those people. So that'll be good enough to satiate you. But with this, I feel like that built-in two-season that were horrendous. It was a terrible experiment. There were a couple of people on that show that were pretty good in the right environment. But that's enough to, I think,
Starting point is 00:04:03 push enough people out the door that were clamoring for the old cast. Like, you know what? This is stupid. I'm never going to watch it. It's actually an entirely new show. And they got there by way of having two terrible seasons that people would claim were unwatchable,
Starting point is 00:04:15 us including, because we did not watch the, pretty much the entire second season. I think we covered like the first couple episodes. It was literally, it was like Jenna Lyons started doing the same shit that she was doing in the first season. It's like, okay, we're doing this. And then Brin started popping off.
Starting point is 00:04:31 And I think we just kind of closed it up again. And it just, Yeah. And I think it did get, it got watchable, but they lost their way so far that they lost so many people watching it that it didn't really matter. But again,
Starting point is 00:04:42 it's built in to kind of lead the way into this new cast, which I think is good. And you also were able to kind of have a social experiment with three people that survived that recasting and throw them into this and have new people that they actually are friends with, that there is deep-rooted friendships with that makes a good show that, you know, we know enough about each other over the last 23 years or whatever it was that Cy was talking about. So those things go into a good cast. And I think they might have a good cast. Obviously, I'm not going to just start touting it
Starting point is 00:05:11 and saying this is a great show and a great cast, but it's definitely better. And it's got more promise right out the gate. Yeah. And I like, I clocked a few times where it's like, all right. And I appreciate it, honestly, that they're clearly trying, right? They went into this season, like, we need to put something good or at least watchable on screen. So you can tell that people are showing up to work. Sure, some of it seems a little bit forced. Some of it seems a little early to be diving into.
Starting point is 00:05:40 I'm fine with it. I think that what in particular, because I'm serious to hear what you think is forced, because I didn't really find anything forced. By forced, I mean bringing it up early and trying to get in, like, Sy talking about the marriage. I actually really enjoyed that scene because it's such a starch, stark, Jesus, stark contrast to Cy in the previous seasons where she would pretty much pretend
Starting point is 00:06:08 like her marriage was perfect. Her husband was taking care of everything. So I appreciated it. And I like that she ripped a band-aid off. I like that we're diving deep into Sy's life because we haven't done that. That was one of our issues with Roney early on with this in particular. the cast, sigh didn't go anywhere.
Starting point is 00:06:26 She didn't tell us anything. She just was mean to people. But I'm glad that she's jumping in. I'm just saying from like a structural standpoint, we don't get into that kind of stuff right out of the gate usually. So I'm thinking, okay. So,
Starting point is 00:06:40 but I don't mean forced in a negative way like, yeah, I think more so they, they have an agenda. They're coming in with a chip on their shoulder and they're trying to get into this shit quickly, which again, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:06:54 So force is the wrong word. More so just getting right to it. Okay. All right. That makes more sense. Yeah. I think it's actually, look,
Starting point is 00:07:01 I had a lot of fun in this episode. I thought it was actually fun and genuine. I did too. And I think they did a really good job from, even just from a production standpoint of doing this episode, having us start off with Daisy, then moving on to Haley and then checking in with the other three that made the cuts. That's the best way to do it.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Like we didn't really get into anything with Erica, but we will obviously as we moved through the season. But it is a good. good way for us anyway because when we go back and I'm putting myself back in you know 2021 or 2022 whenever it was that they rolled out the reboot it was so tough to be invested i mean you don't know what's going on they're throwing so many new people at you they have no connections to the old cast for that i guess for any matter so it was really tough to understand what the hell was going on it was just a new shiny object and then it lost its lester very quickly but with this it's
Starting point is 00:07:48 like okay yeah cool martha stewart daisy that's fun that's a good connection haley eccentric. John and Kate plus eight. That's interesting. Let's talk more about that. And I'm sure we will talk more about that. And then let's check in with the three who survived the cuts who are clearly in a different place than they were a couple of years ago. But they did still have to go through those two seasons together and all of the chaos that ensued. And now we've got different friendships and we don't really have to be introduced to those three. Like I thought it was a very good balance going into that because just being plain, people's attention spans are so, so small. Now, we do not have it in us to learn everybody's ongoings through the entire cast. By the time it gets to episode eight, it's like, okay, I kind of have a handle on this.
Starting point is 00:08:30 And then shit starts to pop off. This is like things will pop off because Cy, Jessel, and Aaron have things that they've had to discuss. And they were waiting for cameras to pop up, which I appreciate. But they want to get into it quickly, whereas the other ones are going to be a bit of a slow burn. So I actually really like the balance because it's something like that. And it's easy to get into. No, I agree. And I think the best thing about this episode is,
Starting point is 00:08:51 is I was captivated scene to scene. Like I wanted to watch more of it. I think the, the general response has been somewhat mixed, but predominantly positive. A lot of people are just kind of dipping a toe where it's like, okay. Yeah, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Yeah, it's fine. I'm curious to see where this goes. Some of the issues people had was the lack of money on the show where again, you know, Erica, who is married to a legit billionaire, the dude that started built for. That just raises.
Starting point is 00:09:21 the boat so high that it doesn't matter. If we have a billionaire on this show, I don't care if we have a lower middle class person on the show too, which we don't. Everybody's fine. Everybody's doing a great job. But I'm okay with that. Like I want,
Starting point is 00:09:35 and I think when we talk about that, because I even have this thought while we were going through the episode, when we talk about having more money on the shows, we're talking about Beverly Hills. Like that's pretty much it. I'm not really talking. Like, yes, we want the gaudy stuff.
Starting point is 00:09:49 I just want good, genuine drama and fun shit. And if you can deliver that, I don't care what tax bracket you're in. Beverly Hills is a completely different animal. I want you to be rich as shit because I want to see all of those things. And I want you to do both things. Roney, I'm okay with because New York is the city of, there's a lot of people from a lot of different walks of life.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Let's put them all together on a show and see what happens. I'm fine. Melting pot. Yeah, it's the old melting pot in New York City. But, yeah, we'll jump into this episode. I just wanted to give a quick state of the union, state of Roney. I think we're off to a good start. Obviously, we're going to take an episode to episode.
Starting point is 00:10:23 We're not going to jump the gun on this one. But it was a solid start, and they needed that. They didn't have to blow people out of the water. It just had to be a decent enough product to give us some hope that maybe we've gotten Roney back on the right track. I agree with you. I actually really like this cast, everyone we've met so far. I thought kicking it off with Daisy and Martha Stewart,
Starting point is 00:10:47 which is where we begin the episode. Great. Good. Like, yeah, throw all of this shit at us. I want to see the big names. I want to see what's going on. Daisy appears to be, at least for now, our relatable character. She's the one that's, you know, she's a makeup artist.
Starting point is 00:11:04 She lives in a two bedroom with popcorn ceilings. And she hangs out with Martha Stewart in Dubai. Great balance. I mean, it's kind of wacky, but that's a fun way to start the show. Martha Stewart can be on my TV screen anytime. I love Martha Stewart. So that was a fun start. Martha Stewart, I feel like kind of burnt me out during, I think it was the Winter Olympics.
Starting point is 00:11:23 I'm like, okay, enough of the Martha Stewart and Snoop Dog stuff. But we're enough removed from that, and this is obviously a completely different industry. But I thought this was sort of like the equivalent of starting a new job or starting college and doing an icebreaker challenge, which I hate. I absolutely despise those. I think they're cringe. It's like, oh, God, don't tell me anything. But for a show, I want that. Like start off nice and slow with a familiar face.
Starting point is 00:11:46 And they didn't start off jumping right into Jessel. They didn't start off jumping right into Sye and her divorce or anything like that. They started off with Martha Stewart. That's a great way to start for my opinion. I love Martha and watching her walk around the two bedroom, not in a snooty way. But, you know, it's Martha Stewart. She has an eye for style.
Starting point is 00:12:05 The Hillary Clinton meme. The Hillary Clinton meme of walking into that small galley kitchen. Like, whoa, what is this? Is that a pre-made pie? What is that teapot doing there? None of this goes. Oh, God. It was just a funny.
Starting point is 00:12:16 scene, but you get to learn a little bit more about Daisy. She's been married to Eugene for 10 years. Quentin is their son. She keeps a wine fridge in her son's bedroom. Good stuff. That's what I want that. All right. This is a character that I can get behind that I think that we're going to enjoy.
Starting point is 00:12:37 She seems relatable. She seems fun. I'm always curious how people are going to handle the drama once you start getting into some shit. I would imagine she can handle her. yourself, but it was just, it was a good start. This was like, as I watched this, I kind of had like a, an exhale. I was like, oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I thought. And Erica aside, because again, I think we'll get a formal introduction to Erica next episode or the episode after that. I thought for both Haley and for Daisy, the introductions were perfect. Like start off with Martha Stewart and then go over to Daisy, who is high as balls rollerblading and talking about whatever with Aaron and not remembering anything. It's like, okay. We are immediately just getting the foundation for you too.
Starting point is 00:13:22 I love this. I just love the idea of like, how do you want to intro? I'm going to put on my fur coat. I'm going to smoke a J and rollerblade down the street. Does that work for you guys? Great. Again, that's one of those things. And I was like alluding to earlier where it's like, they're coming out of the gate hot.
Starting point is 00:13:39 They're trying things. I love that. I want them to try things. I want them to take some shots. Some of them are going to miss. That's okay. What we were lacking in the seasons prior, it was just blah. It was blah as fuck.
Starting point is 00:13:52 So yeah, dude, give me Martha Stewart. Give me Haley on Rollerblades. That's fun. And like you said, they did a nice job of getting back into some of these old characters. We don't need the preamble. We don't need to meet Cy and Jessel. We know Cy and Jessel. So immediately we get into some shit.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I was like, okay. Like this is what I was saying by, And again, wrong word. But the fact that we are immediately jumping into Sy's marriage. And if you've paid attention to the blogs, you've seen that this has been going on. So Cy's starting off by telling us, everything I told you about David, complete bullshit. I've been paying for everything. He doesn't have a job.
Starting point is 00:14:33 He finally got a job recently. And I asked for a separation. Because when I saw, it all kind of came back to me because I've had like Roney blinders on. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Size is getting divorced. I forgot about that. So this is her.
Starting point is 00:14:47 I had to look up and thank God. I immediately typed in whether or not Jessel and Pabick got a divorce, which they did not, because I really liked that. So I was very excited that he did not get a divorce. But it does explain a lot. And look, if it's authentic, that's great. If it's not, I don't really care that much. It sort of explains a way.
Starting point is 00:15:08 It's almost like a scripted TV show. It explains away the plot holes. Because the biggest gripe about. about sigh was being so fake and so annoying and she was the one who would force those issues and then she would yell at people, jump down people's throats and just get pissed off and then say, wow, my side of the street is clean, yours isn't. So if she can start off by saying, hey, little refresh right here, all of that's bullshit. I'm going to be a new person. Look, I don't want her to be a completely new person because I thought she was entertaining at times with that
Starting point is 00:15:36 cast that she had for those two seasons. There was a lot going on and she seemed to be at the center of it and I didn't really care for that. So if she's going to start off on a new leaf, I'm going to allow it. We're going to see where we go from here. But I do like that. It just wipes the slate entirely clean. And as you know, Jessel and Cy were not the best of friends in those couple of seasons. Now it seems like they're getting along.
Starting point is 00:15:56 But I think that's going to be under scrutiny as we move forward through the season. I agree, especially with the Aaron of it all, because we know that Aaron and Jessel, Aaron and Cy had a relationship more so that Aaron and Jessel. So that's definitely going to cause a stir. but to your point, yeah, it was like a reintroduction. Like she's restating, this is actually who I am. This is who I'm going to be moving forward. I like that.
Starting point is 00:16:19 And I like that we get into her marriage immediately. And I like that she's admitting, yeah, you remember Jessel when I was going after you and Pavit and your home life and your marriage? 100% projection because I was miserable. That just flash back terrible memories of the entire group going after Jessel because Pavett wanted to fly to, where was he flying South Korea of Vietnam? I think to get a bond me or something.
Starting point is 00:16:45 And then he wanted to fly back, but he needed to use his mileage and all that. Yeah, there were some questions. But Pavett's a funny, weird dude, and I really like him. And when it started,
Starting point is 00:16:55 I was okay with it, but it went on for way too long. And Jessel didn't really have answers outside of. He needs to use his miles and he really wants to get a bond me. I found it very funny. They didn't find it very funny. We were immediately at us. So that was a big problem for me.
Starting point is 00:17:09 I mean, Sy sort of led that charge. So I'm happy to see that they're on good terms, at least good enough terms. And that's something that we also talk about, tropes with housewife shows. You're okay to reset. I'm fine if you guys are at each other's next at the reunion. We start the next season and you guys have somehow made up in the off season. Completely cool because it's going to fall apart at some point. You guys aren't going to see eye to eye at everything that pops up on the show.
Starting point is 00:17:31 So let's just restart, refresh on everything. And I'm good with it. Aaron is not good with it. But I'm okay with that as well. no yeah i i agree and that's the one thing erin and jessel had a a bonding moment over the fact that both of their fathers passed away within months both were very close to their fathers we saw both of their fathers on screen both were delightful men so very sad but we're getting a lot of rumblings about ultimate girl's trip which is we've had this in i appreciate this one i do too actually i'm i'm
Starting point is 00:18:04 okay with all of the nods to ultimate girls trip i'm like yeah great Because in the Berkshires, and we know that we're not there yet, but ultimate girl's trip ends at Dorinda's and the Berkshires, it's like the big party to finish everything off. I guess Aaron was walking around talking shit, saying that that Jessel is untrustworthy and fake and this, that and this, that and the other. Now, two things. One, it's very funny that we end the scene with both Jessel and Cy going, I'm a vault. I'm a vault, too. Someone's going to slip, clearly. for setting the stage for that.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And too, as far as the drama with Aaron, what this is doing and what this episode kind of did, at least for me, I think we're framing Aaron up to be the villain of this season. Which is cool. I was just going to go off about that too. Because I think what she did in those two seasons and we had her at her live show up in New York too
Starting point is 00:19:01 and I thought she was really nice. But I think she was having a very hard time coming to grips with that. role. And then towards the latter end of their second season, she was just sort of in a fuckered era where she didn't really care. So it didn't really matter too much anyway. But the people she was going up against, it just wasn't good drama. It wasn't good entertainment. It seems like she may have found her own or at least she's being her true self and she's okay, just saying, I don't fucking care about this. This is stupid. Whereas what we watched was her kind of spiraling out of control because people were talking about whether or not there was food at her Hampton's house
Starting point is 00:19:35 that she invited them to or whether or not there was enough room. It was all caveat or whatever. And like it was funny at first, but it just kind of went on for too long. And that's sort of the theme of what those two seasons were. That's quite literally what those two seasons were. Yeah. This has been much better.
Starting point is 00:19:48 And it seems like she's ready to take on that role. And it's not even necessarily a villain role. I mean, like we've got another show in New York where Charlie is the villain and he's firmly okay with that. This is more of a, I'm going to call bullshit on you guys. And I really don't care if you have gripes about that. I really don't care if it causes. waves within the friend group. I'm just going to call bullshit on it until you tell me otherwise.
Starting point is 00:20:09 I like that because that's good. We need someone on the outside looking in to say something like that to stir things up. And if you do it in a good way, it's going to lead to good entertainment. So I'm hoping that she's been able to step into that role or at least come to grips of it. And we'll have to see how she handles it moving forward. But just the vibe that I got in this first episode, I'm like, I don't really think that she cares. I think she's just going to step on toes. And that's good for the show. She's throwing caution to the wind and leaning into. I mean, that was like you said, she tiptoed. around that because she wanted to push the issue.
Starting point is 00:20:41 She wanted to call people out. She also didn't like apologizing or saying that she was wrong, but she also didn't like the backlash. She didn't like when people didn't like her. And that was kind of a big hang up. If she can get rid of that, great. You need to be the person that's going to call people out. Awesome, because we need that.
Starting point is 00:20:58 And I think that she fits that role if she leans into it. She has to get rid of the giving a fuck, honestly. And look, That's the other piece of this too, where I think, again, the state of housewives in general have been so bad. When we claim that we want a villain, when we claim that we want somebody to go against the grain, it's purely just because we want entertainment. We just want some sort of conflict. And everybody's either very easygoing or they talk behind each other's backs and nothing gets accomplished.
Starting point is 00:21:25 That's more so what we want. I don't want her to be the villain. I just want her to kind of go against things that she calls out as bullshit. And I want everybody else to do the same thing. Like if you see something and you get pissed off about two people hanging out or talking shit and it gets back to you, call them out. Anybody can do it. Step into that role and be comfortable with yourself and calling other people out because that's what made Housewives great, you know, 10 years ago was any one person on the cast could just have a huge issue with someone because of something else that they heard and they can blow up a party in the middle of it. Everybody should be able to step into that role.
Starting point is 00:21:57 That's what I want. I'm curious since they got saved, you know, Jessel, sigh, and Aaron. Aaron specifically. Job security. They got, yeah, I wonder if because of all of that, they're going to enter into this season and all signs point to yes with kind of not haphazardly, but just more so like, okay, confidence and also the big issue we ran into early on in the last two seasons of Roney, everybody was so concerned about image, about their PR, about their businesses, about
Starting point is 00:22:33 all of that and it was so evident. Everyone was terrified that they were going to look bad in the media. So they just tried to doctor everything up and be gentle as shit. That's not fun. What I've seen immediately from two of the worst offenders in Aaron and Sy, they 180ed on that. Cy immediately talking about the separation. Awesome.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Immediately calling bullshit on herself. Awesome. Aaron. I watched her navigate this. episode calling people out, understanding that, you know, Jessel is not happy with or not caring, understanding that Cy is now best friends with Jessel, didn't really care. This is good. This is good stuff. It makes me excited for the future. And I think it's a little bit more than, it means more to me for job security than just like, I'm going to lose my job or not lose my job.
Starting point is 00:23:25 It's also a little bit more than what we saw a couple of years ago was going after husbands, like worried about finding skeletons in the closet within their marriage. And, you know, I remember Aaron and Abe kind of sort of getting ahead of things where Abe was doing this and that. There was a lot of questions and have it with the whole bond me thing. And then obviously going to David. And Cy said that's off the table because David's the best, which he clearly wasn't. So there was a lot of that going on, a lot of smoke and mirrors to try to protect their families,
Starting point is 00:23:55 not even just what we talk about when they're protecting their own images and PR and their own businesses and all of those things that come with it. it's more like protecting my peace. And that's something that you really have to let your walls down if you're going to be on a show like this and be popular and be a good show. Like that's what we needed. And it seems like at least for these three and the other ones right now anyway, after one episode, Daisy and Haley seemed quirky and eccentric enough where it doesn't seem like they really care. And I don't think they're going to really protect their peace that much because who gave us a shit. And that's what I want.
Starting point is 00:24:24 And at least from these five and I'll wait for Eric and I'll wait for whoever else. you know, Carol will have to see how that goes too. Those things are the things that usually concern me. And right now I have no concerns. Yeah, which is funny because when we let it off like a sex in the city episode, I was very on the fence. I was like, oh, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, me too. What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:24:44 But it worked. It's all worked so far. We'll get right back to the rest of our Roney recap, but let's just take a quick ad brick right now. This episode is sponsored by Vinted. I feel like we all have that section of our closet filled with clothes that we keep telling ourselves that we're going to wear again. I promise. We're definitely going to wear that shirt again, even though it didn't really fit that well, even though I didn't really get any compliments,
Starting point is 00:25:06 or it still has the tags on it and I actually never wore it, but I have an idea that I might wear it. And I've been trying to be better about cleaning out my closet. And Vinted makes it really easy to actually do something with the stuff that I'm not wearing. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app where you can sell your clothes you no longer wear and make some extra money while giving those pieces a second life. And the thing I really like about Vinted is how simple the selling process is because it could be a headache. A lot of those other sites are very, very stressful, but all you have to do is list your item and when it sells, Vinted creates the prepaid shipping label for you. So you don't have to do all that stuff yourself. Plus, there's no seller fees. So you keep everything
Starting point is 00:25:45 you earn. And the Vinted app is free to download, which makes it really easy to just start listing some of those pieces that you have sitting in your closet day after day. Honestly, it's a great feeling to clear out some of that space, get some extra money along the way, and then you use that money toward refreshing your wardrobe. Maybe with some pieces that you'll actually wear this time around. Ready to clean out your closet and make some extra money? Download the Vinted app for free and start listing. With no seller fees, you keep every dollar you earn. Give your clothes a second life with Vinted. When Westcham first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different. Starting point is 00:29:14 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. New episodes every Wednesday and Friday. But that takes us to hail Glessman's house, rollerblading down the street, smoke in a J, in a fur coat. Awesome. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:29:29 I'm 100% in. And Aaron comes over to her house. Like, this, this was a good scene. This was a good scene. You got Aaron trying to have a heart to heart. She's literally crying. Can't open the wine bottle. Can't get the wine bottle opened.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Meanwhile, Haley is high as balls. Like, she could barely see. In her own personal. apartment. Yes. Yeah, her pieter because she's married to Rubin for 15 years, but she's got her own little escape. She goes to this apartment that he's not allowed in, and that's her escape. She gets super high and does yoga and roller blades. And then it eats protein bars. I mean, I love it. I think it's quirky enough where it's going to work out. And watching the scene, it was just incredible to me that Aaron on the phone with Abe is clearly going
Starting point is 00:30:21 through something with her mother, questioning her parenting, questioning her child. And she's going back and forth with Abe talking about it. And then she goes in and she's clearly already like high strong, a little rattled. And she can't open the bottle of wine. I'm like, oh, God, she's going through it. Now she's going to start crying. And she's crying about a lot of things. And obviously they talk about a lot more.
Starting point is 00:30:40 It's just very funny to not. And we don't even know at this point, but you can probably gather that Haley is high as balls while talking to Aaron. And Aaron is just pouring it all out there. I'm going through so much with my mom and I don't know what to do. Well, you know, mothers, you know what they say about mothers. They're going to question some things. And it's tough.
Starting point is 00:30:59 But mothers are good and you need mothers. What the fuck are you talking about? Here we go with all this. She's just trying to console her. And she's like, yeah, you know, I date a lot of moms. I was like, pardon? Yeah, what? Tell us more about that.
Starting point is 00:31:13 And she does tell us more about that where she got knocked in the head with a boob. She broke her nose on. a boob. That was funny as shit. She just seems very much herself. Seems very much I don't really care. This is who I am. I'm quirky. I'm weird. I got a quirky weird life. Let me tell you about it. I love
Starting point is 00:31:32 hearing about the fact that she seems very New York to me. You know, yes, I'm married to Rubin, but I also stay in my apartment over here and I date women and everything's fine. Youber and I are fine. And Steve, like a very New York set up. And I just think it's funny that she's trying to
Starting point is 00:31:48 say the right thing to Aaron. But like you said, it's coming out so non-help where it's like, yeah, people are going to question things. You know? It's just so funny. I just loved watching that. The bottle
Starting point is 00:32:02 of wine thing, like going on the whole time, like that's such a good bit that kind of like takes your attention, then your attention kind of starts to wander over to the conversation. And then you realize a little bit later that now the bottle has changed hands and now Haley's trying to dig into the bottle with this broken bottle open.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Her staring just blind Like literally just like a mouth agape, no one's home. Yeah. Kind of poking the bottom while Aaron talks. She's not really trying to open it. No, she's just. And then realizes, oh, wait, right. It tries to get it.
Starting point is 00:32:33 It was great. I loved this scene. I thought Haley made a nice entrance. I'm excited to see more from her. I thought she handles herself well at the party later. Her, I don't know if aloofness is the right word, but her being in her own world as much as she appears to be could be a lot of fun. There could be times where it's kind of irritating, but I would take it for those few moments that it's like, okay, come on now.
Starting point is 00:32:56 I'll take it for the overall character that she's going to be. I think it's going to play really well, especially on a show like Roney because the new Roney was a little bit more serious, a little more high strong. Having somebody like that immediately kind of softens everything. And this is perfect evidence of that with Aaron being upset. And she's just sitting there literally just high, like, I don't know. know. Whatever you're going to say at the end of the day. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:23 And look, I think because it applies directly to this, I'll bring in something from the party. But when she's going through it, she's sort of just sputtering. And you can tell her wheels are turning. She's probably high again, if I had to guess.
Starting point is 00:33:34 But she's debating on whether or not she wants to say how high she was. And Jessel and sigh are basically just screaming out, like holding her hand, like pulling her out. Like, all right, tell us what happened. Tell us what you're doing. And she's confessional. I was high as a fucking kind.
Starting point is 00:33:49 I don't know what the hell was going on. I barely remember any of Aaron's conversation. And that's the pieces that I took away from it. Maybe I should have opened my big mouth. I don't really know. That gives me so much hope. I think she gets about a half a season where she will sputter and I'm okay with her not spitting it out. But it shows me, she goes to a confessional a few weeks later.
Starting point is 00:34:06 She's like, yeah, fuck and I'll just say I was high as balls. That tells me halfway through the season we're going to get a completely unfiltered Ellie. And I think that's going to do numbies. I think so too. I think she's a chance to be kind of that Alicia character from Rhode Island, you know, that kind of vibe. So I'm excited for that. But we get back to Jessel and Pavett, which we are both big time Pavett fans.
Starting point is 00:34:31 I love Pavit, man, for a long time. I thought the Bond Me thing, both you and I thought the Bond Me thing was just hilarious. I thought that was great. The guy loves, like, the vacation part wasn't Vietnam for the Bond Me. The vacation, this man loves being an Air Force. plates. He loves 18-hour flights. It's fucking weird. Like, it's so good, though. Just to find out, too, like, that's the funny thing, because it feels like years, and this is just a complete reboot. And we're like, oh, yeah, what is Pavit up to? We kind of knew that he was trying
Starting point is 00:35:03 to do the food influencing thing. I think Jessel had said something on Watch what happens live or thereafter. So we knew about it, but to hear it from Jessel's eyes. And now two seasons removed, understanding their relationship. I have no issues with them whatsoever. I am not going to question anything. I'm not going to dig into it. I'm just going to enjoy it. But the fact that he became a quote unquote foodie influencer
Starting point is 00:35:24 and he's eating more than he's actually being an influencer is very funny and on brand. I do not care. Take as many hours as you want building lunch and then have fucking mac and cheese for dinner. That's very funny to me. And it's so on brand for who we thought he was and he is who we thought he was. That's just funny as shit to your point.
Starting point is 00:35:42 It's like he would. probably, and this has probably happened multiple times, goes to film something, is enjoying the food so much, forgets to turn his camera on. Oh shit. Damn. That's how Pavan.
Starting point is 00:35:55 He needs Jessel to come. I remember those dates that they used to go on where he would plan. He wasn't planning dates. And then they had to plan some sort of sexy date. And he's like, well, we got to go to this spot. And he's like, wow, that's really thoughtful. We're going to it.
Starting point is 00:36:07 And he wanted to go there so he could try the food. And then you see Jessel's like, wait, if you want to post this, you've got to take a picture now. Oh, yeah. I got to take picture now. Do you remember what the restaurant was? They were sitting outside like on a crate because there was like a little tiny hole in the
Starting point is 00:36:22 wall spot. And Jeff was like, I thought we were going somewhere. He's like, I just needed to try this place. He's the fucking best. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Pavett.
Starting point is 00:36:30 But immediately we're back into, this is one of the things that we liked about this show, the Jessel Pavett thing. Once we got through the bullshit, once we got through people trying to tear them apart saying that they're not actually in love and that Pavit's stepping out because he's going to, who goes on a flight to get a bond meet, Pavit does.
Starting point is 00:36:47 And now that we know who he is, we know what their relationships like. We watch them work through. They were having intimacy issues that they were open about on screen. We watched them work through that in season two, I believe. But like you said,
Starting point is 00:37:01 we now know the structure of this marriage. Yeah, we don't have to care. This is the big thing. I can enjoy just the goofiness. Yeah, and they really tried to make us give a shit. about the relationships. And I just don't. That's what it is at the end of the day.
Starting point is 00:37:19 That's something I learned from Roney was, I don't really care if you're going through a tough time. If there's nothing else going on, like, yeah, for all means, throw it out there and have a good couple of scenes where you guys are working on it and you're not working on it, and you're getting divorced.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Fine. Go for it. But I don't really give a shit, and I don't want to. And that's all that other cast made us do was question motives, question whether or not this couple's going to say, I don't fucking care.
Starting point is 00:37:42 Who's the gentleman? Is it dating? Are they dating? Yeah. Oh, God. Yeah, General Lyons, what it's done. But it's just, that's the thing that they tried to push and shove for like for whatever, I guess, as a storyline. It just never hit.
Starting point is 00:37:56 So I'm so much better now, knowing that I love Pabit and I just don't give a shit about what their relationship is. And I'm sure there's going to be some conversations where they're talking about this or that or whatever. I don't really want to care about it. And I don't want to have to think about it. Yeah. And I just like that we jumped right back into their dynamic, you know, Yeah. Povit is doing his own thing in his own world.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Jessel's trying to reel him in. He's like, yeah, no, I'm just, I like making lunch. So I'm going to keep making lunch. Thank you. Anyway, pasta. We're doing pasta.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Now, Jessel talks about losing her father a little bit more here. Again, I believe this is setting the table for whatever divide is going to come between her and Aaron because they got close. And then Aaron was talking shit, which again, if we remember our history,
Starting point is 00:38:41 Aaron's really, really good at talking shit about people. And in the past, either acting like it wasn't her fault or denying that she had talked to the shit, knowing that she does a lot. Like she's just one of those people, at least from what we've seen on the show, where things just kind of come out. If someone's talking about anybody, she kind of drops a nugget where she's like, oh, yeah, I heard they were doing X, Y, or Z.
Starting point is 00:39:05 It's like, ooh, shit. So that's nothing new. But I am curious to see how the Jess, and Aaron thing shakes out because that will really paint the picture of, okay, what route is Aaron actually going this season? Is she going to double down and say no, which all sides point to yes, because she doubled down at the party. She's like, no, you are fake.
Starting point is 00:39:27 And I was like, fuck yeah, like that. So it's going to be interesting to watch those to figure out where they are. I think that's what gives me hope, especially with Aaron too, because like you said, she was very wishy-washy with the whole thing. but I think she added a little bit more perspective and who she thinks she is and how she wants to act around friends. She pretty much laid it all out there.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Yeah, I talk shit. That's what people do. We go to other people. If you're pissing me off, I'm going to go talk shit on other people. And this is actually what I think. But I more so want to know who told you so I can kind of trace it back
Starting point is 00:39:59 and then tell those people not to talk shit on me so that it doesn't get back to you and I can kind of keep my bubble. I appreciate that. Do I agree with it? No. But it works for a show like this and it works for a lot of housewife shows. Talk your shit.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Have your reasons for talking your shit. And then stand 10 toes down when it comes up to it. Like that's what you should be doing. And that's what she should have been doing the whole time. But like you said, she always kind of beat around the bush and focused on the facts that didn't really matter and tried to win on semantics. It just doesn't play.
Starting point is 00:40:27 And it just gets really boring and tired. And then we have about three episodes of trying to figure out exactly what Aaron said. It's like, I don't care anymore. We're so past this. Just move on with your lives. But now if Aaron's just going to cop to it right away, good. good, saves us the time. I completely agree.
Starting point is 00:40:41 But that takes us to sigh and Daisy. They are shopping for the party that's happening later. You know, Daisy's overall vibe that not giving a fuck, I think is very funny. She's like, there's no boys in here and she's taking her shirt off. It's like, there's like, there's like three dudes standing right there. The one guy was just like staring. And she's like, are you okay? He's like, oh, what?
Starting point is 00:41:03 Yeah, I don't know what's going on. Yeah, two o'clock. What did you say? But what this scene did for me, what this indicated to me, I enjoyed this scene. This was a nothing scene. This was a fun, let's go shopping scene. In seasons and shows that I do not enjoy, I do not pay attention to these scenes. I was watching this one.
Starting point is 00:41:27 I thought this was funny. I thought the back and forth with the dude work in there, it's like, no. Yeah, no. He sold the show. And look, I'm fine with that. I don't need the housewives. shine in every show. I need the extras to pop up. And that sales associate absolutely stole the show. He's just slowly, slowly yanking the coat out of her clutches. Like, it's bought online.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. All right. Bye. See you later. I see you next time. Hey, hey, maybe you just didn't have to spend that money today. No, I want it. All right. He's taken it away. The coat's gone. We're good here. All right. Bye. Like, he absolutely stole the show and I loved him. Yeah, he was great. It's just, it was a good scene and it was a nothing scene when you can hit like that. That's when you know that the show. And again, like, I'm not glazing the show. I'm not saying this is the best show. Oh, my God, they're back. I'm just saying from an entertainment value, when you're able to sit through these scenes, be like, oh, that was good. That was funny. It's a good indicator. That's a good episode.
Starting point is 00:42:30 And I think that that's what we have here. And you get to learn a little bit more about Eugene, who's coming to the party. He's a hairstylist, big, sexy, tough dude cutting hair. And he can't fish me because he had three or four marks in the first date. Now he's kind of boring. Okay. Get to know Eugene a little bit. Perfect.
Starting point is 00:42:47 Doesn't like Bart Reyes anymore. That's all I needed to know. Yep. And we get to the party. This is when we're introduced to Erica. Erica is married to tech billionaire. I believe it's pronounced Encore Jane. That could be saying that wrong.
Starting point is 00:43:02 If I am, I apologize. But he created built rewards, which is like travel rewards. hotels, hotel rewards. I think you get rewards for like your mortgage and your car payments and stuff like that. It's a big reward system. I'm assuming for super rich people to make super more money.
Starting point is 00:43:19 But he's a certified billionaire. And I think the funniest thing for me is human beings, our minds don't process a billion very well because we go a million to a billion. Oh, billion's a little bit more than a million. It's so much more than a million.
Starting point is 00:43:38 It's so fucking much more than a million that you can't even literally fathom. Your brain cannot compute how much a billion is. That's how much money this guy has. If we have billions of dollars on the show, like you said earlier, I don't need a cast of everybody, Rich. Give me a fucking billionaire in there and let her take everybody on extravagant, crazy insane trips. Cool. Take us to some billionaire parties. Cool.
Starting point is 00:44:03 That's all I need. And we have that. And what I thought was really interesting to me, one, that Erica was in the WWE, forgot about that. Two, she comes in very nicely. I thought that she was comfortable. I thought she moved around. Well, she wasn't that usual friend. Is she full time?
Starting point is 00:44:23 Yeah, she's full time. Full time. As far as like a first time on screen, I think that she was very comfortable on screen. I like that. That's the kind of stuff I really pay attention to. because I'm like, oh, how you feel it on camera? I'm like, oh, all right, she seems to have the swing of things. That's good.
Starting point is 00:44:40 Yeah, yeah, she seems comfortable enough. And again, I'm going to hold judgment until we actually have like a full Erica episode or at least half an episode where we really dig into our home life and all the things that are going on. But for now, anyway, I mean, she seems lovely. And more than anything, she has connections. And I know she met Jessel a month after she had gotten married, which is probably a few years prior. But it's enough for me to say, okay, cool, you've a billion dollars. you're married a tech billionaire.
Starting point is 00:45:06 You're good. You're good in my book. Show us some extravagant things to kind of cut, I guess, the tension here and there, whenever we have to. And then mix it up. And I'll wait to see where everything falls. Precisely.
Starting point is 00:45:19 But Haley's there with her date slash friends. It sounds like a friend with Benny's situation when they were trying to explain it. Allison is the friend. Ruben has not met her yet. I, there is a world. in which, and I would, I would love this so very much. If we can have a date with Haley and a girlfriend and Rubin,
Starting point is 00:45:47 I would very much. I imagine. Yeah, I imagine. We'll get that. I think that'd be very funny. Yeah, yeah, that would be a very fun time for me. But again, just kind of adds another layer to Haley, very interesting person. She is.
Starting point is 00:46:00 She's quirky as shit. But what I really liked from Erica is, She goes over to Aaron. And she starts something. You know, she goes over there and said, hey, I need a little more info on how you and Jessel and sigh vibe. Because I think that Jess was the sweetest person in the world. Okay, you're clearly setting something up. And I was like, oh, yeah, she's nice.
Starting point is 00:46:20 She's like, what's the tension, though? I need to know what the tension is. Aaron finds out that there is tension. I don't think that she knew there was tension. She's like, wait, what tension? I don't have tension. I don't know. Question mark, shrug of the shoulders.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I don't know. maybe you should figure that out, which sets the stage for something a little bit later. But for Erica to come in and be able to do that, seemed organic enough. I like, again, I said it a few times earlier on. We are clearly coming in with an agenda. We clearly have a game plan or clearly trying to actually do something. I'm good with it. I'm good with these situations of having someone's talking shit.
Starting point is 00:46:58 Yeah, and better yet, have the people that made the cut that have already had two seasons under their belt start off the fighting yeah like there's clearly some animosity the built up in the off season with ultimate girls trip at that last party it's arindas good start off there that way we can get a lay of the land we can see how everybody kind of implements themselves if they want to get in if they don't want to get in hopefully everybody gets involved like i want sides to be picked and i want people to understand where everybody's coming from and i want to see where the chips are going to fall like that's exactly what i want to get the newbies kind of warmed up but again they They seem like newbies, but they are very comfortable sharing what's going on to their lives very quickly.
Starting point is 00:47:35 And they're very comfortable interjecting themselves and other people's problems, which is what you want. Yep. It's a good start. It's a very good start. Now, I have a question for you because we get Sai and Haley and Jessel. And Haley references the IVF journey that Jessel's been on. She references that Sye's going through a hard time. this was the funniest scene, I think, of the episode, because we're recapping the conversation
Starting point is 00:48:03 of Aaron and Haley. Haley doesn't remember a whole lot. She's like, oh, but it comes off as, oh, I'm not going to tell you. Oh, I shouldn't have said that. But instead, it's more so like I was baked like a toasted cheeser, dude. I don't know what the fuck he said, which is good. But it's going back and forth where they're like, well, what did she mention about that? Ah, I don't remember the context.
Starting point is 00:48:26 but I was, they're like, were you sleeping? Passed out? Tired? Yeah. Yes, I was tired. We'll go with tired. Now, I was high as a jet blue flight when she came over. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:39 I love that. But as Jessel's getting upset, quote on quote, she says, I'm not offended, but it's not her story to tell. My question for you, Jessel talked about her IVF journey on Roney. Yeah. stepping on toes for Aaron to reiterate that. It's also incredibly funny too because I don't even think that Aaron was
Starting point is 00:49:04 necessarily talking about the IVF journey. She may have made reference to it, but she wasn't talking about it a negative way. She also really just said, well, you know, Jessel's going through a lot. There's a lot of things going on. Sye's going through a lot. It was sort of just like a mismatch of all of the things going on in the group. And I think that Haley, when she got pressed, probably just said a couple of things. things that she kind of remembers or maybe picked up along the way, not even from Aaron,
Starting point is 00:49:31 from other people in New York or other people in the circle. I think she just kind of threw some things out there. But obviously, tensions are so high that if you hear and we kind of set the stage a little earlier in the episode anyway, everybody's a vault. How dare you talk about me? We're talking about personal things. Not really. I mean, everybody kind of knows, oh, yeah, how's Jessel doing?
Starting point is 00:49:47 I heard her dad passed away. Oh, yeah, how's Jessel doing? I heard that there's a lot going on there with IVF. How's I doing? It seems like things aren't going well over there. Like, you kind of get the. lay the land, you kind of feel the vibes as they're coming out. So it immediately just turns out. I knew that bitch was talking about me behind my back. He's very funny. It does seem like the
Starting point is 00:50:05 flame was already there and we just poured some gasoline on it because we were looking for the gasoline, the bore on it. Exactly. They're fanning this fire of not much. Like again, just saying, oh, she's going through a hard time. That could honestly be in support of that person and saying, yeah, if you see her, you know, it would just be nice because she's going through a lot right now. Yep. I thought that she did spill the beans. But Aaron didn't. She did not tell Haley what was actually going on. She just said that she's going through a hard time.
Starting point is 00:50:33 And again, you get to see Aaron or sorry, Haley, when they ask her like, because Cy goes, what did you say? I was going through a lot. Why did she say that? I don't know. Dude. I, fuck. I wasn't listening.
Starting point is 00:50:44 I would stop. Stop at the third degree. I'm going to get a, I'm going to get an edible. But good scene and we get to Jessel's speech. One of my favorite tropes on Housewives is when they give us a third degree. speech and they're upset or mad at somebody and they shoehorn that into the speech. It has become one of my favorite tropes because of how uncomfortable it must be in that room for other people.
Starting point is 00:51:07 They're like, wait, what? Because she's talking about the year of the firehorse. We're saying goodbye to that. We're going to say goodbye to that bitch snake. Not only it could be called that either. Yeah. So anyway, let's have a good time. And just calls Aaron out in front of everybody.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Everyone's kind of uncomfortable. They don't know who she's talking. about. And she goes over to Aaron after the speech. I was like, heard you on a smear campaign. It's like, what do you mean? And we get, and I appreciate this, honestly, from production. We get
Starting point is 00:51:39 the sound clips from Ultimate Girl's trip, confirming that she did talk shit. Initially, I was like, oh, boy, we know that she did it. How's she going to do this? What's she going to do? Cops to it. Yeah, I said those things. And I do feel that way. Yep. Yep. Good.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Yeah, great. Do not withhold. Do not withhold from us. Do not withhold from Jessel. Let her know exactly how you feel. And I think that's something maybe she learned or maybe she just doesn't give a fuck. I don't care what it is because it came out the right way. But I think maybe she learns like, yeah, you know what?
Starting point is 00:52:13 If I withhold too much information, I just kind of like let her guess she's not going to stop. But maybe if I say it outright, she'll at least have that information to operate with. Now, this is Jessel's party. So it is kind of funny to do that to her. not expecting her to then run rampant and get over to the owner and kick you out. But you do drop it on her and she does not expect that. Like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, let's go back to this. Si get over here and listen to this.
Starting point is 00:52:39 And then Sai got some input going on about what Aaron was talking about with her. It's like, why am I talking to you while I'm talking to her? I'll deal with you later. I like the way that Aaron conducted this conversation. I thought it showed a lot of promise that we didn't really see before. And I think it works out really well because it does kind of just, yeah, there's a lot of growth in there. But again, it's, I've got this fish to fry.
Starting point is 00:52:59 I'll fry you later. But also, I don't even know what my fucking problem is with you. Where did this come from? But let's get back to Jessel for a second. Yeah, I did say that. Let me go to my confessional. Yeah, I'm in a room full of housewives and they're asking me about the show. And they're asking me about people on the show that they don't really know.
Starting point is 00:53:15 And you were pissing me off. So I'm talking shit on you. But I want you to call me and say, hey, I heard you were talking shit. Why don't we, why don't you do that? That's what friends do. That's what friends are for. to call you out and give you a phone call and say, hey, I heard you were talking shit on me. What was that all about?
Starting point is 00:53:30 Not do it here. That's just a difference of opinion. Aaron's probably wrong about that, but it's still very funny that she believes that. That actually gave me the most hope for Aaron, that she's trying to flip this back onto Jessel for not being a good friend because you didn't call me when I was talking shit about you. That's what friends do, Jessel. What the hell's the matter with you? You're going to put this on me.
Starting point is 00:53:54 You didn't even call me. Meanwhile, you were talking shit with every housewife in the Berkshires, but it's Jessel's fault. That's the kind of delusion that we very much love around here. That's what I want her to handle every conversation like. If she's talking shit, just use this one every time. Oh, did you call me? Then you can't have a problem because you didn't call me. You were talking shit behind my back.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Fuck you. Great. Great. It was a promising scene. It was perfect. It was absolutely perfect. And the cherry on top. was Jessel obviously complaining to everybody else.
Starting point is 00:54:28 She's a fucking psychopath. She's an absolute psych. Funny that you're calling her a psychopath because I don't really think it's psychopath behavior. But I think it rattled you enough. And then you find the owner. You're like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Kick her out. Go over there and get her the fuck out of here. Excuse me, ma'am. Yeah, I think it's, you've been asked to leave. You've been asked to get the hell out of here.
Starting point is 00:54:47 All right. Where the fuck's my coat? Where's my husband? Abe. By the way, it took a while to find Abe. He was probably deep in the corner, probably yucking it up with pavitts somewhere the bay was holding for some god uh boy yes he does
Starting point is 00:54:59 we're starting the season off strong aren't we yeah you know what we really did it was a decent start uh i'm excited i'm excited to see where this show can go but let's see what our let's see what our audience had to say about it our esteemed listeners uh uh oh okay from isabella polvado Thoughts on the Aaron confrontation, low-key boring. I didn't find it boring. I thought it was kind of funny. I didn't either. And this is the kind of stuff like Teagall Nail.
Starting point is 00:55:32 Did the, excuse me, does the Aaron Jessel fight seem a bit forced? That was kind of my point earlier. Yes and no. Like, again, I want them to hit the ground running. This show has a lot of ground to make up from where they left it. If we need to start off by doing this and really forcing things into it and just getting into it, I would much rather that than trying to reframe this entire show, build it from nothing, and be like, well, this is what Roney is now, because we're all going to remember what we think
Starting point is 00:56:06 Rony is, regardless of whether you're trying to watch this in a new lens. That's going to happen. So instead of trying to rebuild a brick by brick, let's just change up some things. Let's get into the business early so that then we can have a full season. We don't spend six episodes, quote, unquote, getting to know people we already know. exactly yeah absolutely uh from jacling michelle crest is it just mirro to daisy and haley look alike they do and i did not have a lot of fun trying to identify who was who while i was watching but i think you'll pick it up pretty easily that that's my only only issue with the newbies was that they
Starting point is 00:56:41 look somewhat alike i'm completely fine by that because they have pretty different personalities maybe not as different as you might think but pretty different pretty different yeah uh lindsay bucks good point here and I will always read out when people talk shit about O.C. See, no one batted an eye over Haley having two apartments in New York City while O.C. is obsessed with a $3,000
Starting point is 00:57:05 handbag. Exactly. Yes, exactly. Focused on the wrong things over there on the West Coast. We'll end on this one from D. Not Die. How horrible is Carol's cast photo? Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:57:21 It is really bad. It looks like AI. I thought it was like AI brushed. I don't know what the hell's going on there, but yeah, it's not every day that it can. Like, honestly, I look at the reunion looks as we know, because I am the fashionist of the show. I look at those intently. The cast photos, I basically just read your name and check to see if you're full time or not. And then I move on with my life. Carol's caught my eye immediately. I was going to say the same thing. I caught my eye. I was like, that's different. That's not very nice. They should have let her redo that one. But hey, we're here now. Aren't you the girl from the Epstein files?
Starting point is 00:57:57 What? That's what we get next week. Oh, boy. Yeah, that's going to be interesting. But we get to determine whether or not that was staged. That's going to be fun for us. Yeah, that would be fun to break down. But all in all, I mean, it's a good start.
Starting point is 00:58:13 That's all we can ask for is a good start and build on the momentum. We'll see where we're at. We're going to take it episode by episode, everybody. We are not going to jump the gun, even if we get to, to the reunion. I'm still, maybe then I will say it's good. But until then, it's a good start. I'm excited to see where it goes, and I like the cast.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Agreed. That's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. That's our show. Rob Fraser out of here. Where some see heroes and others see egos. Bloomberg sees the era of billionaire athletes.
