Good evening, everybody. Welcome back to another.
episode of bros and shows i'm your co-host steel russell joined as always by the one
and only shooter magooter what's up shoots not a whole lot ready to get into it this is a southern
charm reunion season so what better way to do it than to have the one and only austin kroll on
to answer all of our hot button issue what's going on guys um this is making me pretty
nostalgic for uh pillows and beer you know it's making me think about
Craig and I coming on here just to shoot the shit.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I mean, that's one of the questions we have, if you want to get into it right out of the gate.
We were going to, like, you know, talk like a little bullshit here and there.
But let's just rip the Band-Aid off.
Where are you guys at with pillows and beer?
I'm so glad you asked you.
You brought it up.
Honestly, Craig and I have been talking about it for the past month or show.
on on if we wanted to resume the podcast and the easy answer is yes right that's the easy answer
because we've had so much fun doing it going on tour i mean honestly it kind of reminds me of
you know the way that y'all shoot the shit a little bit obviously you're more bravo centric
but like craig and i basically talked about everything but bravo because you know we were
living it or whatever you want to say so like we were just talking about everything else
But Bravo.
So if we could find a way to get back to like the freewheeling Austin and Craig banter,
the old school pillows and beer, then I am so in.
Now, I know that things change and evolve.
And it's no longer like, I don't want to go back to like the COVID days of it,
for God's sake.
Craig and I were hammered, you know, doing these podcasts.
That's not what I'm saying.
But I think that there is a world and a space.
that Craig and I could come back and have some fun.
But we did talk.
We were like,
let's wait until the reunion's over,
right?
So that there's not any like,
I mean,
we were trying to film our podcast,
man,
during the season still.
And it just became super awkward.
And finally,
we both are like,
dude,
like we got some shit going on.
And we can't just come on here and pretend.
Oh,
you mean like in the midst of everything happens,
you guys so much right.
I appreciate the task.
We tried until,
it kind of got to a point and neither one of us was like meh but it it like just kind of was like
maybe we'll like back out of the room a little bit and both of us kind of felt it and we let it
and we let it sit but um we are laughing because for three years we've been trying to get
them to talk about pillows and beer and craig and i are like for the amount of time that we've
been doing this isn't it obvious by now that we have to fight about it
in order for them to air it.
So of course, we fight about it and it's airing.
And that wasn't planned or anything.
But now that people know and it's been aired on the show,
we're like, it might be the best time possible to come back.
So I mean, the market is there.
All publicity, all publicity is good publicity.
So you take what you can.
But does that get really frustrating to when you,
and you just kind of alluded to that, you feel like you have to actually
have there has to be drama around it for you guys to like actually get into something that's
important to you like you guys can sit in a room and talk about what you guys are going to do and
going on tour and stuff and then you might look back and be like oh it's kind of a boring
conversation we're going to cut that we're just going to move forward you're like ah shit if there
was drama around this if we had some conflicting interests maybe we could get it out there well
i'm going to make abby happy with this answer and you guys already know what's going on i don't
I don't have to say it, you know, but that's certainly what happened with our podcast, right?
Yeah.
It was like there was some trauma around it and then it got brought up on the show, a timer three.
And so, yeah, I'll leave it at that.
Well, I will say, though, Craig did offer you a buyout.
Did it occur to you that you could have taken that money and invested right into lover boy?
you don't have to answer that I'm just dicking around yeah
what an outrageous question really stick it to him
I mean yeah it the thought of investing in lover boy is just never crossed my mind
and not in like a negative or rude way it's just like we never even talked about it
so that that's just like I'm able to be in my own space Kyle's able to
be in, you know, his own space. Craig is able to be in his own space. And that's, and that's just the
way it is. How's Trapop doing? Well, it could be doing better, guys. So drink a delicious
this cold drop hop. I wasn't going to drink. I said I wasn't going to be drinking much during
the month of April, trying to, trying to get it back, guys. Been on the road a bunch, I feel like.
But, you know, Trapop for the second year in a row, wasn't shown.
at all on our show.
And it really bums me out.
I showed some really funny stuff.
Do you have scenes of it and they just don't show it?
100%.
That's right.
I will say that, right?
You know, and I know that I'll be the first to like admit.
Like, I know that just, you know, putting a camera on me and a room while I'm on like a meeting or something is not fucking interesting.
team. And I know that. And so you're right. Yeah. And so like we did some off the wall things
to be like, this has got to make it. Right. You know, for instance, I, uh, I went in front of my craft
beard division here in Charleston, right? It's, uh, it's the AB house. And I'm in front of like,
you know, 15 people. And I walk into the meeting with a life size cardboard cut out of, of me,
you know, underneath my arm. And I set it up, you know,
directly next to me because I was like this will be some comedy right it's like super meta to have
you know life size Austin next to life size Austin talking about drop-op and it was like a real
meeting and a real you know like stakes involved as as people like to say and and just to see you know
things like that I'm not like you know owed you know scene after scene after seeing
of for sure a boring but there were definitely things there there were definitely things like um
i opened up a store with the mayor and him and i cut you know the ribbon together we don't
oh hell yeah and like it was this it was this whole thing where like i didn't know what to call
him i was like hello mr mayor and she was laughing at me and you know and i was like mayor
he was like no just call me hello your honor yeah exactly and like i thought that that kind of
that kind of shit was funny, right?
And then it's like, you know, me sitting back there,
even taking pictures, like, and serving people,
drop-hop, and I don't know, just things like that, that, like, come on.
You can take your pick, and one of those could have made it.
I mean, Spritz got more airtime than Trop-hop,
and Trop-op's been around for longer, or at least been in our space for a number.
Yeah.
Um, what did they show from Sprits?
Just Craig kind of fishing out some spritses from a...
Like, when you guys were back there, you finally begrudgingly went over there
and you and Paige made fun of him for a while.
Oh, right, right.
He handed you a Spritz or something like that.
Like, I just feel like it got more.
It was like slow motion cheers almost.
Yeah, and it like shit really like honed in on the fact that it was Spritz just to highlight the drama,
especially since Summer House and Southern Charm were airing together.
You just said it.
Yeah, exactly.
No, I know why.
He sets it up for the multiverse.
That's what we always talk about here, the Bravo Multiverse.
We get to have a clash of the two shows.
And I don't know if you've, I know you were on watch what happens live on.
Thursday night. You didn't really allude to being able to watch a whole lot of Summerhouse,
but we're watching it play out on Southern Charm, on Summerhouse, all of the different
storylines kind of colliding. It is pretty crazy. And did you ever think that something like this
would happen really affect the whole Bravo universe and watching it all play out? And are you getting
kind of a different vibe or kind of putting pieces together while watching or getting stories and
people texting and stuff? I don't pay much attention to something. Yeah.
I deeply care about and like a bunch of the people on, you know, their show, but I don't necessarily keep up with it much, you know, I feel like on our show we don't, we don't talk about Summer House much, except for, you know, Paige, of course, because she was dating Craig for ages and, and that's just natural to talk about.
but yeah to see it be like such like a focal point um for them is just interesting to me it's just
interesting because i feel like on our side of things um it's it's not that way you guys don't
have a whole lot of stakes in the game so to speak versus it seems like they're they're kind
of going after i mean i went on summer house four summers ago
Yeah, you know.
You still have to hear about it.
Yeah, let's just say that that they didn't pay me enough for the amount that they talk about me.
Well, what about, do you miss Winter House?
No.
Neither do I.
I can fucking hate it that show.
No.
We, yeah, it's just one of those things.
Like, I don't want to be in a house, you know, for 18 days with like surveillance and then wanting to throw parties every night is just like, it's just kind of got to the point.
Yeah.
The first year, though.
I'll tell you, we had so much fun, we had so much fun.
Like, it's funny because I went to the season three Winter House, like, premiere kind of
after party, right?
I didn't go to like the premiere because I wasn't trying to like be all up in their, you
know, time.
But I went to the bar afterwards and I was talking to some of the guys that had filmed it and
some of the girls that had filmed it and they were like, we just filmed the best show ever.
And I was like, I got news for you.
we thought the same thing for season one when you're in for 18 days straight yeah i was like you're
in for a rude awakening when you see the final product yeah never really pans out the way you
wanted it to pan out but in keeping with you know the summer house southern charm thing we we do have
to touch on it just as far as like the craig and page thing goes obviously we've we've seen it
we've heard about it for a long time now now from your stance
Like, when did you start to see or feel like,
oof, there's a little bit of trouble in paradise?
Oh, gosh.
This topic, I mean, I know it's the first time that I'm talking to you guys,
but it just feels like so stale now, right?
I agree.
We agree.
I just want to get your take on it.
And it's like, yeah, yeah, no, of course you do.
But it's like, you know, like at the end of the day,
like who really cares what Austin has to say about the fucking topic?
Yeah.
you know and like in the beginning like yeah it it was hot for me and and you know hot for me
yeah it's an interesting turn of phrase yeah it's really hot it's like early on it was hot as
fuck you know what I mean it was a hot topic yeah and and you know answering questions and
stuff I mean I'll I'll just say that like in hindsight it's just you know here here here
Here's like a hot take, right?
Because in the beginning, it was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's, you know, and all this information's coming out.
And now you're like, or me, you know, I'm just kind of happy.
Like, I think that everyone deserves to be happy.
And if Paige wasn't happy, then she deserves to go be happy.
And it hurt Craig in the moment, right?
And Craig was like, shit, you know, I thought that was my forever person.
And that's just the way it goes in a breakup.
One person is always more hurt than the other person, and that's just how breakups go.
And I think the Craig will ultimately be better for it and vice versa.
And that's just kind of what I have to say about the two of them at this point in time.
Which is fair.
And like, that's something that we kind of locked in on earlier.
Like once they finally broke up, yeah, like two years ago.
You just saw they start to, they want different things.
And like when all the shit's coming out after they.
actually broke up and people are trying to throw gas on this fire.
It's like, at what point can we chalk this up to they wanted different things?
They broke up.
Let's move on from it because I didn't think that either party was like at fault, so to speak.
I think Paige made it pretty clear, hey, my life took a different direction.
I want to pursue this.
And Craig from day one has been like, this is what I want.
I want the white picket fence, the family in Charleston.
It's like, that's fine for both of you guys.
But like, it's not with each other.
So like, can we just move the fuck on?
So like there you go man and like that's kind of I think where like the relationship got to is that she was like couldn't just move the fuck on like let's just move the fuck on that's it was fine it was time what it felt like but um you know the the the only like you know breadcrum I guess you know that I can give you from from like original question that you know you asked that I kind of answer in my own way was um yeah either
Towards the end there, Andy and I even talked,
and we were like, something's up.
So I don't think it took a rocket scientist
if you were close to either one of them
to know that something was up.
Yeah.
But how is that, oh, go ahead, shoots.
I was just going to say, and this is actually just kind of funny,
and I really think you should lean into this.
How does it feel now being sort of labeled as Gossip Girl?
Because we get to see all those scenes with you and Madison,
just chopping it up, just talking about all the shit going on in Charleston.
We know how small Charleston is.
Everybody knows everybody's business.
Yep.
But I don't know.
And the way that I took it at the reunion, I know people are kind of running with it.
But the way that Craig said to you, like, if I told Austin, everybody would know about this immediately.
I didn't take it as like literal.
I didn't think that he thought you were going to take it and run.
I thought it was just like, you know, he might talk to somebody else and do this or that or whatever.
So like, how did you take it?
Did you take it as a slight or were you just like, I kind of get it where he's coming from?
He's coming from a breakup.
He might not mean it, whatever.
Like, did you really put that much emphasis on it?
Yeah. It's very astute of you, shoots.
You know, very astute of you to, you know, catch this.
But yeah, when, when Craig said it to me, it is more along the vein of like what you said, right?
Where it's like he would tell me and then I would have to tell Shep, right?
And I'd be like, hey, I got to tell you.
And then Shep would tell Whitney without telling me that he told Whitney.
And then Whitney would tell his mother and his mother would tell Madison and then, you know, Madison would tell, you know, Rod, and then if Rod knows and everyone knows, you know. So, and like that's what would have happened. No, I don't mean that Rod. Rod. Like, if I tell Rod to keep a secret, then he keeps him out shut. I think he just meant it keeps going down the line. Yes, yes. There you go. I got you. I got you. Absolutely. So, so when he said that it, it just very much so was him not trying to speak about it because I don't think he'd wrapped his head around with the.
fact that it might be real right he's like whoa whoa man we're gonna talk it out when i go to new york
we're gonna fix this and you know and we're gonna talk it out so um he did not want to speak it
and talk about it and and i get that on a level yeah that's fair that was that affected your
guys friendship have you have you guys gotten closer in the aftermath of this whole thing because you
had a there was like an after show i think you did where you said things got a little bit weird
again but then you guys were on watch what happens live together it seemed
like you guys revived and where are you guys at now yeah so the funny thing was is that like
like a month in the aftermath Craig was calling me for like mundane things that I could tell
that he used to call page about you know he'd be like my pool guy came over and uh you know
you know this and this and like I was just smiling because I was like I was like oh
Craig's called.
I missed this Monday.
Yeah.
You know, and like he was calling me for like the everyday shit that you used to call
and you're like significant other about, you know, like, hey, I just have the grocery
store and you'll never believe what happened, you know?
And like, that's the kind of shit that he was calling me about.
And it felt good, you know, I was like, are we back?
The boy's back?
Is my pillows and beer back?
So that's, that was always good.
And, you know, and not to talking too much like about Craig, but I can just tell that he was just in like a very serious relationship.
And now he was just trying to like blossom again.
You know, he's like, oh, okay, like calling up my buds again, like going to do things again.
Like, let's play golf again.
Let's like these are things that I don't know.
And I'm not putting blame on anybody by the way because I'll tell you first and foremost that page is always like,
Go. Go. I'm going to chill on the couch and you go play golf. I literally don't care.
So that's not what I'm saying. I just know he liked to be in that space. And he and now he's like getting back to it.
That's good. That's good to hear. And we're not going to talk about Craig the whole time. We wanted to get it out of the way.
Yeah. I know. We'll get we'll get bitched at if we don't. And we'll have a bunch of comments talking about how we just avoided the subject.
about Craig.
Whatever, guys, we love you.
But there is somebody that I really want to talk about that I've been waiting to talk to you about.

uh his name's jaret uh i believe you know him and i need answers for a lot of shit so i'm gonna try and
keep this i'm gonna try and keep this in between the lines you know that's fine we'll try and
keep them between the lines and and and and talk about things that him and i have spoken about
like since the reunion and at the reunion and even behind the scenes of the reunion so there's no
like yeah all right yeah so we got to get like we'll been do this together receipts and
throwing shit at us yeah yeah yeah that's not i'm not i'm not trying to have some like petty
little Instagram, you know, battle, you know, break out from this.
No, that's not our vibe either.
We don't like to do that shit.
So, yeah, that'd be best.
But I try to avoid that at all costs.
Yeah.
My moisturizer guys are so shiny.
Okay.
Yeah, you're glistening.
Is it tinted?
You got a little tinted moisturizer?
Do you put some blush on?
No, it's, uh, I think I'm just like running hot right now.
You guys are making me nervous.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, geez.
I'm flattered.
But, um,
Obviously, you guys had, if you want to call it a falling out last season at the season finale.
So I feel like as soon as the season started, I was hoping that we would get some kind of reprieve from the shit that we saw last season.
But immediately with the canes and him coming to the horse race and like it seemed like he picked up right where he left off.
And I guess my question to you is first and foremost, because you clocked him early.
You clocked him at the reunion, like, everyone's going to finally get to see what an asshole you are.
Do you feel vindicated after watching this season?
And it does become a little more apparent, especially with the Veneta stuff, that this guy is not on the up and up.
Do you feel like you've kind of gotten some clarity?
I mean, you know, producers and stuff are always like, you know, I mean, Austin, right?
Like in green screens, they're like, can you just give us?
They're like, I told you so, face, right?
You know, they asked me to do that like a few times.
And, you know, you never want to, like, root for someone's townfall.
Yeah, I kind of, I mean, yeah, sometimes, yeah.
But in this case, uh, his attempted character assassination of, of me last
Oh, the fuck boy exorcism that he thought he thought that line was gold, by the way.
Yeah, that's the stupidest you have ever heard.
Yeah, but he, he, uh, said and did a whole bunch of things that you guys probably didn't
here you know we're sitting up there for six hours or longer and you know you you guys see you
know i mean 42 times two you mean 84 minutes of it and uh you know and those are like
there are just some things from that that'll never ever forget that you know we're said and i was
like like what i'm not even gonna gonna go down it man because like at you know certain points i was
like, are we just going to let this, you know, I was like for someone who doesn't know me and
like just didn't get how this whole thing was done. And so watching him like the first episode,
right, I was like, I was talking to Whitney, I was talking to Shep and they were like,
you're the best thing that you can do is to, you know, forgive and forget.
get and move on right if you do anything else you are just going to look like a hot and
bothered bitch right and i was like all right well you know i mean that's like what i want to
do anyways and so you know the first episode he's kind of giving me like the cane and says that
he wants to meet up and talk i'm like okay like let's let's see what goes on here but then he immediately
you know just change his tune and um that's when i was you know able to be like oh my gosh like you
know, hands wiped, right?
I don't, I don't even have to film, you know, with him.
Like, he just did it all for me, just did it all for me.
Now, I'm going to be over here, and you can be over here.
And that's kind of how the entire season went.
I didn't see him once until the Bahamas, where he sat down at the table and then, you
left the next day.
Right.
Yeah.
And that's kind of how it went the entire time where even last year, we kind of said,
if you just, like, leave him alone, he's going to bury.
himself at some point and we saw that all year this year and yeah we will give him grace where grace
is deserved with certain things like i don't i still don't think he called miss patricia a bitch i just
we never saw it we didn't see the audio so we're just going to kind of leave it there but he did
have so much time to just do stupid shit the whole time and yes there were take down moments but
there were also things that he directly did and specifically with towards the end of the season
which we didn't really see coming and we were kind of aggravated about but the whole venita situation
We don't really know how to make heads or tails of it because there's so many stories out there.
The timeline gets skewed.
We don't know if they're serious.
There's people claiming that it's just for the show.
There's receipts from JT.
And we're not going to get into the spoilers because we'll have this out before the next reunion episode anyway.
But what did you guys make of it?
Like you guys know everybody and you're watching this.
Did you get any weird vibe from anything that was going on here?
I'm in the same boat as you.
I had no idea what was going on.
Yeah.
I, I, you know, from my understanding, feelings on the need of side were real.
Um, you know, I don't want to speak too much, you know, for anyone, right?
Because, you know, they could be like, what?
But from my speaking to her, like on her side, it was like she was into him.
Yeah.
Right.
I have no idea what is going on on the other side of things.
I have a pretty good idea.
Yeah.
I have a pretty good idea.
Like, it's just, you know, we've seen it, and you've seen it with your boys and like people,
you know, we've seen it with people that we know.
There's always that dude that's the quote-of-quote, like, nice guy.
And the nice guy tends to be the biggest asshole in the group because it's the dude that, like,
he'll get shot down by a girl because she's just not interested in me,
and he'll say some derogatory shit, like, all right, whatever, you're a slut anyway,
like stuff like, like, he gives me that fucking vibe where it's like,
dude, you're not owed shit because you're nice to women.
That's the bare minimum.
And this guy hides behind this shield of, I'm the nice guy.
I'm a Southern gentleman.
I don't say things like that.
No, you don't apparently.
But at the same time, you're going against Austin, calling him a fuckboy.
For all of your shortcomings that you've had over, like, however many seasons that you've been on this show, you Austin.
You're always you.
You're yourself.
You're unapologetically you.
You don't pretend to be somebody else.
You've taken us over the past couple of years.
You've definitely grown a lot.
you've allowed us to watch you grow a lot, which has been great to see, and you've been vocal
about it. That's what we want. We want authenticity on this side of things with JT. It's like
everything you're going after Austin about, the fuckboy exorcism, talking shit about who he's talking
to, who he's hooking up with trying to throw a wrench into his new relationship where you seem
genuinely happy, all is a reflection and projection on himself. It's like, that's how you operate
JT, and you're trying to throw smoke screens out there so you're not found out for being a piece
to shit. But at the end of the day, you can only put on this facade for so long until we see it
and we saw it with Venita. We watched it play out in real time. The timeline makes no goddamn
sense. The texts you're sending are completely inappropriate if you actually are dating somebody.
Then you date for a month after the season. Where the fuck did that come from? And then you go
stir and end up with this other chick again who then goes to Batvee on social media because you're
too much of a pussy to speak for yourself. Did I get it? Kind of right?
You know, Steve? First off, and I thank you for the kind word.
about me and uh and um you know uh second off it makes me really happy that there are smart
people who watch the show we try yeah um you know that that's kind of like what's what's
preached right you're like if if you're not going to be yourself and show your life then like
get the fuck out of here yeah yeah and people that you know get on the show they're like what's
your advice. I'm like, be yourself. Be it yourself. I'll never forget in my first season for actually
bringing back this producer. But I got, I got hired. And I was like, are you guys going to make me
look like a douche bag? And he looked at me in the face. And he said, well, are you a douche bag?
And I was like, touche. You know, like, touche. If you're going to act like a douchebag,
then we're going to show you as being one. And if you're not, then, you know, not. And I think
it was a classic case of we were filming in season nine and yeah man there are years and years
of like human nefarious like activities you know between me chef crag you know other people
that have been on the show you know for years so i think it was very obvious to me that somebody
tried to come on the show to to be like oh well they're not not
gentlemen, but I am.
So I'm going to take this space that they don't have.
I'm going to read Reddit and see what they think about these people and be a new person.
And it's like, or you could have just come on and then like, I'm a bit of like a piece of shit
myself.
And we would have been like, welcome to the club.
Yeah.
Come on in.
The water is warm, you know?
And that's just not like what like what.
you know happened so yeah and and and and I'll tell you this right you know now to talk about
you know things that like I actually did talk to him about because after the reunion he was kind of
my butt like man the way that you handle that Craig stuff like oh man I respect you right and
I was like what is happening here because because after we broke for lunch right you know and
we split it up in a you know like two three and a half hour to four hours second and uh we were on the
And J.T. was like, I don't hate you, man. Do you hate me? And I looked at him right in the face,
said, yes. That's the best way to approach that. He said, yes, I do. And he was like, okay.
And, you know, like, I'm trying like a new, like approach, especially, you know, this year
where I was just like, Austin, like stay in your lane, right? Like, you know, if it doesn't really
pertain to you, then like, don't jump onto what, you know, they got going on. So I didn't have to
really talk much to him at the reunion or about, you know, things that didn't have to do with
me. Because I was like, just shut your mouth and just like talk about the shit that you got
to talk about because there's plenty to talk about at some point. So don't talk to everyone else's
stuff. But my underlying message, and this is how I'll leave it with him because you said
everything that there was to stay's feel. But the thing that I said, I was like, you know,
You know, he's like, well, what am I supposed to do, man?
Not, not talk to, you know, my friends about, you know, hearing like a cheating rumor.
And I was like, yeah, man, but you know how you do that, right?
You're, like, hitting some golf balls and you go, hey, did you guys hear what Leva said?
Like, what do you guys think about that?
Not like, this guy's a scourge on our friendship and we should banish him.
And it's like, whoa, dude.
Like, you're going about this all the wrong way.
Like, by the way, this is like years and years of friendship, you know, with both these guys.
like we barely know you and like you're going to come in here and and fire fire hot and it's like
you're just doing it wrong you're you're just doing it wrong you called sally the other woman you
don't even know her yeah like yeah there's there's a lot of that there's a lot of evidence when
it comes to j t but honestly honestly i for one i'm happy that you're just as confused about the
bened j t relationship as we are i know people are going to be upset because we don't get any
real details but you i'm happy you are going to be even no even more confused
after part two.
Oh, good.
I love.
Oh, shit.
Yeah.
Well, I, look, we, we can leave that one where it is.
I want to get into my favorite relationship.
And that's with some freckled lips.
Let's get into what the, what the, I don't even, I don't have like a deep question.
I don't have a long question.
I'm just going to ask you one simple question.
What the hell happened?
Because we feel like we missed so much information and we had no idea what's going on.
Especially after this other interview that he, uh,
Shep just did with Amanda from Not Skinny, Not Fat.
Oh, yeah.
What did he say?
He just gave a lot more details as far as, you know,
CNN has spent a lot more time in Charleston than she made it to appear and that he paid
for a lot of things.
And there was a moment where, you know, she didn't book her flight.
And she was like, hey, can you just book this for me?
And he was like, frustrated because he pays everything in Charleston.
And she never pays her way to get there.
And that there was, he went and met her family.
She met his family.
Like, there was a lot more details.
in his interview recently than we got during the season.
So I guess my question, not to interrupt or take yours shoots, was more just...
Oh, it's fine.
Yeah, mine wasn't even a question.
Mine was...
Well, it's just like, what don't we know?
Like, how much...
Is it actually something where it was like, you know, he misconstrued the relationship,
or is the stuff that we were pertinent to or the stuff that we were able to see?
Is that not the whole story, I guess?
Yeah, I think that...
Some days I have a different opinion than other days because I hung out with them the very first time that they ever hung out.
We were at Shep's folks' house and Hilton Head.
It was like it was me and Audrey, me and Pooks.
We're getting there.
Don't worry.
And Freckled lips and Shep and Sienna and Rod and Tyler.
And, you know, it was like a good, you know,
weekend. It was the first time that they'd met. And then to my understanding, they hung out a couple
times after that. Now, prior to going to the Bahamas, Shep was distraught over the fact that she seemingly
had become an NFL boyfriend. Gotcha. Unbeknownst. Unbeknownst to us at the time.
Oh, he's on the practice squad anyway.
Who cares?
Yeah, I got really good.
So, like, it would be kind of become like a parent to me.
I was like, is like, you know, she says she's on like an international flight and, you know, you don't hear from her in like 36 hours.
I'm like, that's not how that works.
You know, but definitely not how they work.
Thailand?
You know, even if you get on a plane and you fall asleep immediately.
and wake up when you land you're like hey i just landed
what i was zanax and drank a half a fifth a crown to fly to sydney and i woke up
that i used to be an alcoholic it's all good uh and i landed i was two hours outside of
sydney when i woke up and the people next to me thought i was not well they're like are you
good and i was like where are we you hours now i was like holy shit that's all you
hours? Yeah, shit. I used to have a problem. Six years clean now. But yeah, that, you know,
good times and congrats. Yes. Thank you. Appreciate it. The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is an eight

Uh, so, like, things were starting to piece themselves together, but, but Shep had already started this, like, we're going to the Bahamas or like, let's go to Bahamas, you know?
I, like, want people to meet her, want you to, like, see, you know, he kind of wanted to see her and, but on, on our way there, it, it was just so very evident to me that I was, like, that I was.
like it's a classic case of like this girl's not that into you or she's dating someone else or she's
or both you know and when we got there and just the way that things just like immediately happened
and when she first walked into the hotel room and me and Craig are standing there like hey and she's
just like I've met you like five times and it was so cool.
old, yes, it just read that she didn't want to be there, right?
And that she maybe did want to be there, but 100% in a, hey, like, we're buds, right?
Shep's like, buds.
We're, we're, like, I thought that we were dating, you know?
Yeah, we're a vision.
Yes.
And so I think that what happened is that, is that, you know, Shep's not used to that.
And so he was like, you know, hanging on.
on for dear life, like didn't want to see the signs, didn't want to see what she was very
evidently, you know, portraying to him.
I mean, you know, for me too, it's like the first inner ends and she's like, my stomach
hurts.
I'm like, dude, she hit you with my stomach hurts.
You haven't seen her in two and a half months and her stomach hurts.
I'm like, one dude.
But still, I told him that.
And he was like, no, no, no, no, that's not true.
That's not what it is.
That's not what it is.
And I'm like, oh, okay, all right, man.
Good luck.
Yeah, go get them.
And then you get woken up hung over to that fucking love letter of a text.
Guys, I don't even know what was happening until he started reading Shakespeare.
And I was like, and my eyes just like popped open, like, no, tell me that this is like a rough draft.
Tell me you hadn't sent this, you know?
Yeah.
Tell me that you're coming in here to ask me for advice on this.
No.
You know, he'd already fired it and was convicted in his, you know, actions.
And, and kind of like I said in that scene, like I respect his like emotional, you know, vulnerability, but.
Sure.
We love that.
We love that part of it.
Maybe he should have been like emotionally vulnerable to me.
Yeah.
What do you think of this?
How stockery does this sound?
Yeah.
And then and then for her to like not respond, it's like you guys don't know because like an hour
past and then two hour passed and then three hours back and I was like, hey, dude, maybe
when we go do like activities for the day, like you just leave your phone in the room so
that you're not just like freaking out and you know and then you like quadruple texture some nonsense
if that's even possible it's texture even more nonsense um yeah which by the way someone tagged me
in something that that's like a coffee mug now i was like i must have this coffee mug oh i saw that
yeah a long text was i like probably should get that to like open up season i think it even
says red at the bottom too there's a red it does it does say that thing is so cool i want to
Yeah, that's so bad.
Get that?
Can you just wink at the camera so we know that it's like a full circle moment?
I mean, I loved it because I felt like we got like the full dichotomy of guy friendships where you've got you who you just told us how you felt what you thought the entire time, even on the plane right down.
You were trying to be as gentle as possible with them like, hey, buddy.
You know, I'm not really sure about that.
It's going to be okay.
And then you have Craig like, hey, fuck off.
Put your phone away.
I'm going to steal your phone and put it in a safe somewhere.
I'm going to throw you out the ocean
to get your phone
and we're going to see how much you actually want
like all right
that's fair though
because you do have guy friendships like that
where somebody's just going to be so fucking real
like stop you look like a moron
and you're like dude it's okay
let's just take a breather
no more text for a little while
everything's going to be all right
but I feel like when it comes to Shep
and obviously you guys know how to handle
all those situations that come
with being his friends
I feel like you guys are both taking different approaches
and you're like one of these is probably going to work
We'll figure it out.
Or she's just going to break his heart at the end with a shark tooth necklace.
I don't know what's going.
I mean, look, there's that shit is $700, by the way.
Was it actually?
Yes.
We were making a lot of shot.
Oh, yeah, because he bought two of them.
That's right.
Yeah.
Oh, well, that's all we know about.
He might have like a whole list of shark teeth that he's given out.
Kind of like, you know, what you guys said.
It's like an interesting.
Um, I do think it's funny that like, um, I have some guy friends that like I've reached out to me and they're like, whoa, man, you know, this scene between, you know, you and Shep, it's like I love seeing, you know, the bro friendship, you know, work out because it's like what happens. It's like what happens, right? And you have to think about where everyone was in their life, right? You know, Shep is unsure, right? And he's chasing some, some girl that doesn't, you know, want, but, you know, his heart wants. Craig is seemingly in a rock solid.
you know and he's like i like you know if i know one thing it's you know relationships so
blah you know you know preaching and then and then i'm like trying my hardest to not pile on
yeah no the funny thing is when you know pile on like break it down actually with where everybody
really was at Craig was going he was what i got from craig towards that part towards the end of the
season was he was almost trying to convince himself how rock solid his relationship was just with
where they were at that point maybe you but i can't speak to how he was actually thinking and i'm not
i'm not trying to throw shade there but whereas you are in this relationship with audrey you seem
very happy very very confident and you're just like trying to help your buddy get through this whole
thing so you know optics yeah that's kind of the setup is craigs and rock solid relationship
Shep's chasing and you're just trying to be the good friend, but in reality, you were in a
good place in a relationship, trying to kind of soften the blow for him, whereas it could have
been a little projection from Craig's part, again, not saying that that's what it was, but if you
look at it through that lens, it does kind of change the whole thing, which, you know, you can tell
you the entire season. I mean, the way that you said it earlier is kind of perfect, where you
stayed in your own lane this year and you can tell because you weren't involved in a lot of
bullshit and we got a lot out of you without you having to get involved with other people's stuff
and could a lot of that be stemming from Audrey in this relationship that that you now have
and you seem confident comfortable and happy um what a segue but yeah uh perfect yeah thank you
what a segue thanks guys so stop you should have a podcast they do that was really nice um I
I, look, I found a person who's such a good person, it, like, drives me nuts.
You know, like, I at first even, like, tried to push her, like, away, right?
I was like, oh, you know, you know, because relationship phobia.
I mean, I guess it's been a thing of mine for, you know, since Madison, right?
I mean, yeah, so obviously that's, that's no secret.
But when I finally came around to it, like with my therapist, actually, where she was like,
what are you running from?
Like, we talk about this girl in every session and how she makes you feel and like how you're
happy and this and she lets you live and she lets you be you like all that, you know, and I was
like, you're right.
Like I think it's completely rare to find someone that.
that you want to spend all of your time with that you don't get, you know, like annoyed
with, especially in this life and space that I live in, it would be very easy for, you know,
someone to maybe be jealous, right, of like, you know, girls coming up to ask, you know, for
pictures or something, you know, and not once has she ever, you know, even when, like, we lie
down like in bed, has she been like, so, I saw you talking to that blonde for like 30 seconds
longer. Never, like just so, you know, secure. And I just think it's so rare and amazing that I don't know
that I was able to find her or that we were able to find each other. Oh, so sweet. And we didn't get
to see like a lot of Audrey, you know, this year and a lot of the relationship. But I definitely
I tried to show, you know, intimate portions like, you know, meeting my parents and, and
yeah, there was a scene actually where she met my sister on camera.
I don't know why I didn't make it guys.
I don't know why.
We need more Katie on the screen, by the way.
She's great.
Every time she's on.
Yeah.
She, yeah.
I tend to get that a lot from, you know, friends of mine.
But I tried to, you know, show her as much as possible, but, you know, also like, I'm not bringing
her to the Bahamas.
Like, I'm not bringing her here.
Like we, we, we, we, you know, let's like ease into this thing.
Like she's like, I don't know what's going on.
She's like, you know, I mean, bright eyeed and bushy tailed about into the whole thing.
And like my number one job is like to, you know, to make sure that she's like, okay and to make sure that she's feeling good.
And you know, heaven forbid of someone, you know, came at her, right?
Like I would be like a feral cat, right?
Like, like, uh-uh.
Like that's not how things work.
And so anyways, she has just been like a really solid rock for me because she literally lets me live.
She lets you be you.
She lets me be me.
And, you know, it's up to me to not be like a shitty person, you know?
Do you guys have future plans for her being on the show a little bit more?
Or are you guys just kind of keeping it where it is?
Like cast trips, I feel like is probably more in line with what people would want to see.
but cash trips are difficult right because then you got people on cash trips
who pops off every time you know and uh you know you don't want someone to catch astray
you want to keep out of the day guys like catch a stray because she would be like i don't know
what the hell's going on i got i got i got out here um but but i i mean i'd say so i mean i'd say
that we would see more of us and it you know she still lives in charlotte's
So she would be coming up here and you bet your bottom dollar that I'm sure that I'm going to get all the questions, you know.
Oh, yeah.
When is she going to move in with you?
When are you going to move in with you?
You know, all the things.
You know that.
All the things.
I'm going to get hit over the head with it and not in a subtle way, you know, so.
Yeah.
When are you redoing your backyard?
When are you getting bees?
Like when is all that happening?
That's the timeline set up now.
So we need to know when these big milestones are happening.
It's funny that that you say that because I'm actually like in the middle.
of just like redoing a bunch of shit in my house like like i i kind of just re like redid my kitchen
i didn't mean to but rod came over and was like let's get you some new countertops then we got some
new countertops and then he was like what about a back splash and all of a sudden i'm going to
back splash and then he's like all right we're going to paint these cabinets and i just do like a
full kitchen right now am i grown up now you know and now i can't stop thinking about you know
running away in other rooms in my house and like oh yeah that's happened to me i just you know what i did
today i bought a water cooler for my house it was like the greatest thing oh hell yeah yeah dude it's
like an office water cooler yep just went from lows it's right back here in this room you can't
see you're gonna have to do a different podcast around the water cooler it's my so my office is here
and then my wife's office is through this window uh there okay and i
put it in there and it's like you hide the big jug under it and so now i got cold water all day and
i'm i'm fucking stumped wow dude it's the little things like it's right yeah i i want to put in
like an outdoor shower all of a sudden because underneath my house right is my garage right
it's like an open air garage right but it's like you know slatted wood right so you can't
just you know walk in and now i'm converting it into like uh
uh, infrared sauna. I put like, like a rowing machine down there. I put like a bench down there.
I put like a mini fridge, you know, down there with like, man, pre, you know, workout. I'm like,
what's going on? All of a sudden, I'm like doing all this stuff to my house. Maybe a water cooler's
next to you. Dude, ghetto. I'm telling you, I'm telling you it's life changing. But we have to start
wrapping up. I just, we have a couple of questions from our, from our listeners, uh, if you don't mind. Um,
Nothing too crazy, don't worry.
From, damn it, I am so bad at reading names.
Megan Ayahala 18.
If you were a viewer, what would you want to see next season?
Where would you like this show to kind of dive into next year?
Yeah, if I was a viewer, I guess I'm very interested to see how Craig handles being single.
Like, what does it look like for Craig to go on a date?
what does it look like for Craig to like, you know, get hit on at the bar?
Because Lord knows that Craig cannot hit a woman at the bar.
So, you know, he is going to get, you know, getting hit on.
Like, what does the next chapter of that look like, right?
Also, I mean, even Madison being pregnant, I'm very interested in.
This is going to come off bad.
But Madison and I joke about it all the time.
Let me just preface it.
Okay.
How much of a butterball that she's about to turn into?
She was like, awesome.
That's game like 28 pounds.
I'm like, this is amazing.
Like, you know, I'm going to be messing with her all next year and buying her like, you know,
X-L clothes or something.
I don't know.
But I'll probably get shit for it, but it's funny to me.
As long as you don't tell her, she doesn't need that cupcake like somebody else on your show,
you'll probably be okay.
Yeah.
I won't do that.
I won't do that.
But, yeah, I mean, I would say, you know, oh, oh, man, well, Shep is single again, but he's kind of always single.
So it's not that interesting to watch Jeff.
Like, we're running around town doing his thing.
We've seen that.
Yeah, I got one here from Ryan Stoneman, one of our buddies.
I'm going to tweak his question a little bit because I wanted to change it.
But as far as the cast goes, is there anybody?
from your past or anybody in charleston maybe even dip into the southern hospitality crew anybody
that you would want on the show to film with oh you're saying is there anybody else on
you can bring anybody back you can add somebody from a different show i mean i would just have to
like you know leaning to people that i know in the bravoverse um i think that bringing
like a housewife on would be fun that would i mean lisa barlow would
would be fun, you know, bring in.
I think that, you know, her and Pat would be great friends.
And then I think that she would love to dish out like advice to, you know,
us, you know, the idiot guys, right?
That would be a fun one.
I, I, geez, I obviously have like a bunch of names, like I run into my head.
But I'm like, who is in shit and who's not, right?
Who's in it right now?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm like, I don't want to say someone.
It's like, oh, my God, Austin, don't you know that he's getting crushed?
Yeah, don't you know?
He's getting arrested for the fault.
Yeah.
You mean, Schwartz would always be fun.
Shorts would be funny.
He's a free agent.
We've talked about trades and stuff and rob over.
Yeah, I think it would be awesome if they did any of like sports where you could just trade people
and like they would move franchises and shit like that would be really funny.
Let's just say that I'm happy after dipping my toes in the water plenty of times.
I'm happy being in my own franchise in my own city.
And I'm staying here.
Not fucking leaving.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm staying in this space.
Well, the last question I have.
And then we'll go our separate ways.
We have been planning a trip to Charleston for, because we're,
We're tight with a lot of the Soho cast as well.
And I just would like to know if we could challenge you and Craig to a two-man
scramble when we get down there.
A two-man-scramble versus bros and shows.
Oh, man, that'd be so much fun.
That would be so much fun.
Let's figure that out.
Let's figure out like a way to make like a bunch of content for it.
Oh, yeah.
But we'll bring somebody to film it and show.
We'll hire somebody to go film it.
yeah totally totally and um i would say you know you give us like a little bit of notice
and we'll get it will make it happen and we will make it happen all right dude well thank you
for uh for coming out we appreciate it's been a pleasure talking to you uh you got anything
to plug anything you want to get out there drop hop by the way yeah guys i mean first off
thanks so much for having me um hoping to piss off to many people today
but that's how it goes.
Yeah, you were good.
Yeah, guys, well, this is my product.
It's called Tropopop Brewing Company.
And you can order it online.
So anyone who's listening where they're like,
oh man, when's it going to be available in Philly, Ohio,
or wherever that you're listening to this,
you can order it online at tropoppepeaer.com.
And that would be awesome.
And if you come to Charleston, yeah.
Craig and I have opened a bar.
It's called By the Way.
And it is a heck of a lot of fun.
It's like an upscale, casual dining spot with awesome cocktails and just a really cool vibe is, I think, the operative word.
And yeah, guys, I think I'm happy.
Love to hear it.
You know what?
You deserve to be happy, dude.
You fucking deserve to be happy.
Craigman texting the other day about something.
And he was like, you know, and I'm not going to say what.
And he was like, and this and this.
And I sent him back the, uh, the James Franco meme, you know,
where like he's getting hung and he's like, first time.
And I was out from, uh, what was that movie?
Yeah, I was like, Craig, I sympathize with you, but like, brother, you're talking
to me.
Okay.
Yeah.
I like, what is this your first time getting fucking roasted?
Stop it.
Yeah, was it.
The life of times of bust your scratch or something.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's great call.
But, all right.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
