Bros & Shows - Tasty Butts and a Troubled Lake (Southern Hospitality Full Recap)

Episode Date: April 13, 2026

What's up bros?? We're back down at the lake with our favorite cast (except one person) for the end of their little getaway. For some it was time to get a little fun and smooch and for others it was t...ime to finally drop the cold shoulder and get into the issues (then smooch). Unfortunately for everyone there and us a home, we still have to deal with Emmy to which we ask: can we be done with her? Everything on this show is so good and captivating and then we have one person seemingly none of us want to deal with. Let's not let her ruin a good thing here Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:22 free of charge. BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming, Ontario. So as promised... Every week I will start the same way. She's 100% racist. And I'm not going to let go of this point because every week I'm like, there's no way she could double down again. No way she could triple down again.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Maybe this week it'll click. And it doesn't. And she's still racist. Racist with a victim complex is a very dangerous combination. It's a combination that I don't think we should see on TV. but I still feel I still feel pretty confident that they're going to put her in her place.
Starting point is 00:01:08 As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a... Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Brov Bros.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Good evening, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros. Your favorite podcast from The Bros for everybody. For whoever wants to listen, and I'm your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by late night, Magoutes. What's up, dude? Well, I was having a lovely Sunday. It was beautiful outside, coming back from the shore, doing a little grilling.
Starting point is 00:01:45 You know what ruined my day? Ami being racist? No, I didn't watch it today. I watched it the other day. But today, my day was ruined by a to be continued while watching Beverly Hills. I thought we were done. I thought it was season finale the other night. and lo and behold, we get a two be continued,
Starting point is 00:02:05 which means four more weeks. It's sort of like the worst version of the Groundhog coming out. And being like, hey, six more weeks a winner. We get four more weeks of Beverly Hills. I will not be happy until that show is over. And then I will start to be happy again for about six months. And they'll be like, well, we got to pick up the cameras because it's crazy out. It's not.
Starting point is 00:02:27 It's not. But we're not here to talk about that. I'm just here to tell you guys how my day was ruined by Beverly Hills. It's a ominous presence in my life that I need to be rid of. And I will do anything to get rid of it. Yeah, I was having a really good day too. And then I had to do my taxes. So that immediately ruined my day.
Starting point is 00:02:46 But then Kevin and I went skateboarding at a skate park for like two hours. That was awesome. It was pretty dope. Not going to lie. But that brought my spirits back up. But I haven't watched Beverly Hills yet. So I'm sure that'll ruin my attitude as well. But like you said, we're not here to talk about that.
Starting point is 00:03:04 We're here to talk about a very good show, a very, very good show. Top two, I would say it's hard for me to argue that Rhode Island's not number one right now, unfortunately for Southern hospitality. But they are doing a wonderful job this season. And, uh, Emmy still racist. So why don't we jump in to this episode, rip the Pandit off? But we start out where we left off last week. and obviously the lake and Michael's stuff is still pretty heated.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And Lake's now at a point where she's just trying to figure out how to approach him. What is she going to do? I understand, right? And like we can kind of lump this whole thing together since it's kind of sporadic throughout the beginning of the episode. I get Michael's is upset. I get it's a very sensitive topic. It's got a little extra ump to it.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Totally understand that. I, at some point, point, can you lighten up a little bit? Like I felt so bad for, but I understand on one hand, I'm like, well, no, she wronged him. I get it. But on the other hand, it's like, okay, but aren't you guys like brother, sister? Like, can't we lighten up a little bit?
Starting point is 00:04:14 It could be that, honestly. I think when I'm really thinking about it, because again, I mean, it's of a topic that we will never really understand how deep it is and what it actually means between Michaels and Lake. But if I'm looking at it from a friendship standpoint and where they are, I think it's just simply where Michaels is. And we talked about last week how he actually does seem to like this. And I think this episode kind of confirms that he enjoys being in that position of power for a little bit and kind of throwing his weight around.
Starting point is 00:04:40 But I do think at the root of everything, the very stem of what's going on, I think he holds like in a much higher regard. And I think the topic, I think the context of everything going on and obviously how everybody feels about Emmy, he's pissed off that she did that because it got back to Emmy. It's not like she went and ran and told Emmy, even though she's saying that they're friends. She told Ella. and there's too many Ella's, Bella's, whatever going on.
Starting point is 00:05:00 So if I mess up one of their names, I don't care. They'll get over it. Just combine them and call her Bella. Everybody's Bella. Everybody's Bella. But yeah, I think that the context of it obviously brings the severity up a lot more, but I do think he holds Lake in a much higher regard. So when she did that, well, we're looking at it.
Starting point is 00:05:17 We're like, okay, I get it. But you know what? She's involved, which we get into a little bit later during the apology scene while we're sitting down for dinner. But she is involved. and she does in my, at least in my way of thinking, she does have a right to talk to other people about what's going on. Maybe she spilled the beans a little too much.
Starting point is 00:05:35 But obviously when it comes to their friendship, I don't know the inner workings of their friendship. So maybe he's been through this before. We saw that conversation with Lake and her mom the week before. I think that she's done this a couple times. And he's like, dude, enough. Like, I don't know what you want me to do. So I'm going to give you the cold shoulder for a full 24 hours.
Starting point is 00:05:53 And I'm going to make it really awkward for you. And I'm going to put you in a bad position. until you understand how pissed off I am because I don't want to just come back to you and have a conversation and squash it because I've done that before and you've done this to me before. So I do need you to know,
Starting point is 00:06:05 I don't like it when you do this. And I think that might be it. And again, does he take it a little too far? At first, he made a couple of funny comments. The cold shoulder was a little funny. The power trip was a little funny. But I do think he took it a little too far. And even he probably felt bad and he didn't want to do it.
Starting point is 00:06:18 So it's fine. The way it is at the end of the episode, they're obviously cool. The way he went about it was fine for a certain amount of time. And I do think he took it too far. And I think he even felt bad about that. I think he nailed it though. I think it's he holds her to a different standard because they're so close.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I think the other aspect of it now that I think about it more, because of his relationship with his family, obviously being strained. I think that he, his family's his friends, as he says himself. So I think that it stings even more. So I think that's an extra layer to this entire thing. So I get why he got that heated. Like it makes sense. to me, but I did feel like genuinely bad for Lake because she was really going through it.
Starting point is 00:07:02 As they're setting up the party, we find out that Michaels did Catillion and T.J. is making jokes at them. They're still vibe in. The chemistry is still there, which is going to culminate. If that's what you want to say this evening, they're going to culminate tonight. They're going to culminate to Lisa Barlow. To Lisa Barlow. Oh, that's right. They were watching Salt Lake. Yeah. Oh, I'm so happy I get to break this to you, too. They, uh, I guess they're doing confessionals right now for Salt Lake. I think they're already filming.
Starting point is 00:07:32 So, yeah, they're definitely already filming. So they were doing confessions. The producer showed both Lisa and Bronwyn, oh, good. This scene. And obviously Lisa's reaction was, oh, my God, they're having sex to me. That's so great. That's iconic. And it's like, okay.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Bronwyn's like, hey, I'm here too. What are we doing? Like, I, I'm happy that they're watching me, but pay attention. Pay attention to the scene. It's very important. Go back and rewatch. if you guys missed anything, but it's still very funny. And I love that they were doing it, but immediately, and I'm jumping to think out a little bit,
Starting point is 00:08:01 but turning on Salt Lake City and then having sex is great. Yeah, I mean, what a good way to set the mood. You know, nothing sets the mood like Lisa Barlow yelling at somebody or Meredith Marks, slurring her words. But Emmy obviously still has this, this idea that she's going to sit down and talk to Brad, that she wants to air out her side of this whole thing because she's been silent. No one's listening to her. She's the victim here.
Starting point is 00:08:28 And she's going to let everyone know that. So she goes to Brad and says, hey, whenever you're ready, I'm ready to have this conversation. And I'm ready to explain that this is what I felt and this is what I meant. Like that's immediately we're not even to the conversation. And I'm like, you don't get it. You don't get it. You don't understand why you're in trouble. Like that's what pisses me off.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I think she, it's almost like she has a loose understanding about how disagreement. go. She has a loose understanding about how putting people in bad positions and having an argument with somebody and needing to have it out goes. It's almost like she's been through this before, but she never understands exactly what's going on. She doesn't understand her
Starting point is 00:09:09 words. We're very attuned to understanding that Emmy always uses microaggressions, but she's talking about anything. It doesn't matter what she's doing. If she's trying to apologize for using microaggressions, she will use a microaggression to apologize. or the microaggression.
Starting point is 00:09:26 She's done it three times already, even before this scene. So going to her confessional, is coming back, talking to her sister, talking to Justin on FaceTime, like every single time, it's like, dude, you just, you don't understand it. So her having this sense of entitlement, like, you know what? I know Brad's mad at me, but I need him to know why I'm hurt. No. Like, you don't understand what's going on here at all. We're still mad at you.
Starting point is 00:09:49 You probably could have moved on. I don't think you should have deserved to be able to move on, but you could have moved on. and you've made things worse for yourself. That's why Brad is remat at you. That's why everybody is remat at you is because of the way that you've been carrying on. She still thinks like, ah,
Starting point is 00:10:04 you know what? Maybe it's just some leftover, a little leftover resentment. And we need to be able to squash this. He needs to understand where I'm coming from so that he further understands where he's coming from. And then we can meet in the middle somewhere. And that's how apologies.
Starting point is 00:10:17 No, it's not how apologies work. You are far gone from that. Just stop talking. And then maybe you'll stop getting in trouble. because when she says, again, and in confessional, before the conversation,
Starting point is 00:10:29 she goes, I don't want to fight, but I'm not going to take accountability for something I didn't do. God damn it. Because it's not an excuse to just not know what you're doing, right? Because everyone's telling you what's going on.
Starting point is 00:10:45 So it's up to her now to look in the mirror and go, what am I missing? What's going on? Why are they still pissed off at me? But the fact that she says, I'm not going to take accountability for something I didn't do it. You did it. Now, you can claim that your intention was different, that you didn't intend to use a microaggression,
Starting point is 00:11:02 which I don't believe either. I think you know exactly what you're doing. And I think that you use white woman tears to try to get out of it. As Brad says, so eloquently later, I was like, yes, that's exactly what she's doing. And it's infuriating. But you don't get to get a pass because you didn't understand what you said, because you still said it. And everyone's telling you why that's wrong.
Starting point is 00:11:23 And it is now your job to go, oh, I wasn't aware of that, maybe. I'm sorry. That's all. Like, say sorry and shut up. I just, I have, I have no idea how to even further explain this because we're back in this position because you went and told Justin, they don't even know that you talk to your sister. We know you talk to your sister and we're laughing about it. And you said worse things to your sister than you said to Justin.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Yeah, which, you know, now we understand. We've always understood how it's going to go at the reunion when that gets rolled out. And it's unfortunately we're we're we're in the realm now, which really sucks to where Brad's just going to move on like it's just not worth it. Like it's truly just not worth it. Obviously that friendship is gone. And I feel bad for Brad too because now he's got these weirdo fucking white people in the South messaging him being like, oh, so you can move on and apologize and feel like you can
Starting point is 00:12:15 move on with a black woman. But if a white woman comes to you and wants to apologize, you're not going to give her the time of day. That's racist. That's happening right now. Yeah, Brad posted it last week after the episode aired. So, I mean, I'm not surprised it happened because they're scumbags. But yeah, like, that's where we are.
Starting point is 00:12:32 That's where we're going to be is it's not worth it. Every time we do this, she's clearly not being sincere. She doesn't understand what she's saying. She doesn't understand the problematic nature of what she's doing or treating anybody else. It's not worth it because when we try to talk to her about it in an honest conversation, not even in like a let's corner her. Like I thought Folly Islands was going to be a let's all gang up on her and just show her exactly how bad of a person she is.
Starting point is 00:12:56 They still were being nice about it. They were trying to educate her. They're trying to get past it because they still have this like kernel of maybe she didn't know what she was doing. Maybe she didn't understand why she was saying things that were wrong. We'll try to educate her. We'll try to get her through to the other side. So she doesn't do this again.
Starting point is 00:13:13 She doesn't care. She simply doesn't care. She thinks she's better than you. That's what it comes down to. Yes. She probably has Will whispering in her ear like, you're better than that and you don't even need them. Then why is she still on the show?
Starting point is 00:13:22 Like that's what I never really understand. But it's not going to be worth it. Like we'll get to the reunion. We'll start talking about her conversation with her sister as she'll start hyper-reneulating. And everyone's just going to look at her like, ugh, okay, I guess we'll just move on. Like everybody's going to be Lake from last reunion looking at her. Like, girl, come on. What are we doing here?
Starting point is 00:13:40 Exactly. And this conversation sucked. And it sucks that Brad's hearing shit from some fucking idiots down there. Like, that's so stupid. There is a very clear distinction in what's going on with this. group, right? The issue he's having with Lake is night and day compared to the issue he's having with Emmy.
Starting point is 00:13:58 It's not the same thing. So for anybody to make that comparison is so dumb. Brad's not even like having much of an issue with Lake. Michael's is having an issue with Lake. Brad's cool with Lake. They had a conversation. They talked about it. He knows where she's coming from.
Starting point is 00:14:12 They've been completely cool. Like throwing Lake into all of this as if Brad has the same like thing to squash with Lake as he does with Emmy. No, I think the lake situation. is just more confusing. We talked about it last week. We don't really understand why Lake and Emmy are friends. We don't understand why Lake is sticking by Emmy and looking at her actions and being like,
Starting point is 00:14:31 yeah, you know, she feels bad about it or she'll apologize or she doesn't understand what she's doing. Like all of us sitting at home who aren't even part of the situation are looking at it the correct way. No, she has no remorse. She sat down and took that and immediately turned away like,
Starting point is 00:14:46 they don't even know what the fuck they're talking about. These people of color don't know what they're talking about when they're talking to me about microaggressions. Oh, come on. I would never do something like that. They don't understand who I am. They do. We all do.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Come on. It's very, very obvious. And real world implications, banana, real world implications, by the way, because now Brad has to deal with that. All right. Emmy, here's a great lesson. If the same situation happened with you,
Starting point is 00:15:17 okay? And you were in Brad's shoes in some way, shape, or form. All right. Obviously, not in the same setup, but in an argument or disagreement with people. Nobody would be texting you or DMing you saying, oh, you can apologize to a white guy, but you can't apologize to it. That wouldn't be happening. But it's happening to Brad because you started all this bullshit. And now there's residual effects all stemming from your race.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Emmy sees that and she's like, right? Thank God. Somebody has my back. Somebody gets where I'm coming from. And that's even more of a problem. It's so fucking annoying. But they sit down to talk. And, you know, she's like, again, even the leadoff, I'm like, you don't get it. She's like, I didn't mean to offend you. I wish I would have changed the word unsafe.
Starting point is 00:16:07 It was my safety or the fact that I felt unsafe. Like, what the fuck are you talking about? And Brad, I think Brad is is so fed up with this. He's just phoning it in. He's like, yeah, but that's what you said. Okay. That's what you. And he's doing it the right way.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Like just literally put it back on her. That's what you said. Well, just to clarify, my safety was never my concern. Well, that's not what you said because you said you felt unsafe. You understand what we're saying. Yeah, we're just repeating what you said. And then she says, I've been passive about my apology. What?
Starting point is 00:16:46 What the fuck's going on? Like, just say I'm sorry and walk away. But as she keeps trying to spin this narrative and figure out a way to dig herself out of this hole, Brad just clocks and says, look, I don't believe anything you say. I don't believe anything you say because you say one thing to me. And then you go say something to somebody else. And she's like, well, what did I say? It's like, you know, you know he's going to drop it on you. You know what's about to happen.
Starting point is 00:17:08 You know you've been talking shit. And you're still going to play aloof. She's like, what do you mean? Well, you FaceTime Justin and said the only reason that you apologized is so that I didn't ruin your life. Cue the hyperventilating. Boop. And then I didn't even see this one coming. Well, you know, I should have meant my apology. And then I didn't get apologized back. And, you know, I shouldn't have done that because you didn't say sorry to me after I apologize to you. That's not the way I should go about it. You missed everything. You haven't even locked in on
Starting point is 00:17:44 what you should be apologizing for. Now you're spinning it and saying because you didn't receive a reciprocal apology. That's where this went south. He doesn't owe you a fucking apology because your boyfriend cheated on you. Is that it? Because of this like I don't even think that I really don't even think that I mean knows what she would want an apology for. Like I, I half expect her to get to a point if Brad even decided that he had it in him to be like, hey, let's have a real conversation.
Starting point is 00:18:16 What did you want an apology for? Would she pick door number A that you guys were perpetuating? of rumor that will cheat on me. Yeah, I don't know. It's been a long day. Or door B, that you made me feel unsafe while I was in a hotel room with my fiance and on the phone and I was clearly talking about you guys. Or see some other
Starting point is 00:18:35 weird reason that would make any sense. I think she might go see, but I don't really think that she understands what she would even want an apology for. Again, that's why I was saying she has a very loose understanding of how apologies work or how situations work. She expects to be apologized to. She expects to meet in the middle and then let's let bygones be bygones i'm sorry for what i did to you you're sorry for what
Starting point is 00:18:53 you did to me we can move on that's how she thinks that's what she thinks the situation is she doesn't really have a grasp with anything going on but then when i think that when i'm thinking she really doesn't get it she does get it because she goes and talks to her sister and she goes and talks to justin she clearly understands why brad is mad at her she understands why the rest of the table was talking about microaggressions she just doesn't think she did it she doesn't think that she did it she thinks that they're trying to paint her as a different person than what she is. And they think that they're really just drumming it up so that they can make sure that nobody ever talks to me again.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Like I just, I don't know. And look, I don't blame anybody if they just move on from Emmy and stop talking to her. It's not worth it. It's clearly not worth it. No, no, because the way that this conversation ends, again, when he brings up the, you went and said this to Justin afterwards, she's like, well, let me be very clear about the context. There is no context.
Starting point is 00:19:47 There's no like you didn't say something that was subtle. It's very black and white, very straightforward. And now you're trying to use this whole victim card because Brad's not giving you the time a day. Brad shouldn't give you the time of day. And the only thing you could do to make this worse is to use another microaggression. Yeah. But of course she's going to because she goes, look, and this also paints exactly why
Starting point is 00:20:11 she wants to do this. She gives their intention in this conversation. She says, I meant my apology and folly. I would rather make up and have a good summer. She doesn't want to feel uncomfortable in the group anymore. That's the only reason she's even approaching this topic to try to clear the air with Brad because she doesn't want to feel icky and weird around these people. Stop being racist and you'll probably feel better and fit into the group better.
Starting point is 00:20:37 But attack, I don't want to attack each other. And Brad's like, no, no, no. There's no attacking. There's no attacking going on. And again, you fucking did it again. And she's going to be like, I didn't mean that. That's not the point. And I feel like I'm going insane.
Starting point is 00:20:53 It's not that difficult of a concept to grasp. But cue the hyperventilating, cue the fucking white lady tears. And cue nobody giving a shit, Emmy, grow the fuck up. Get off the show. Like you do not need to be on this show. It's bad for your mental health. You're an asshole. It's not like fun when Emmy gets on the screen.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Like she is the only detriment on this show. Everybody else is having a great. great time, but you have this racist asshole that's just ruining it. Go away. Yeah, I agree. Okay. Cool. Me too.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Well, Brad goes to talk to Julia and you can tell, like, I almost think he needed that convoy just to firmly shut that door. Like, I thought I was done. I'm definitely fucking done now. So I think that that was a big step. And while that's happening, Emmy is playing. and the victim and using big words again. You not letting me get my point out is so silencing.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Silencing, silencing, silencing. You are a loony tune. Dude, you can't silence a white woman, I guess. That's what I'm getting, I guess. I don't know. It's just there's nothing more to be set. There truly is nothing more to be said. Well, Michael's going to.
Starting point is 00:22:12 The war is over and both sides. Kings, kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old-school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time, and when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a strong.

Starting point is 00:26:29 This is Mick Unplug, the voice and face of modern leadership entrepreneur and self-improvement. Let's get started. Check on her real quick, though. And she's trying to give her plight to Michael so that he understands where she's coming from. And again, she's crying to him. He understands the entire situation. and she's like, I haven't been able to give a true apology.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah, because you had the chance to. And you fucked it up. I'm not going to keep like, we've harped on it enough. You know, the big takeaway from this moment is Lake tries to peek in. And Michael's pretty much like, get the fuck out of here. I don't want to talk about Eddie, but yeah. He literally looks over and goes, no, we don't need a fucking audience. That one I laughed at.
Starting point is 00:27:24 This was the last time that Mike. said something to Lake that I don't think that's really funny. Like he's really just hammering this home. That one is really funny. I'm going to let him have that. But right after this is where I was like, all right, that's enough. That was it. You should have just cut it off there, allowed her to come over and just give you her two cents,
Starting point is 00:27:41 talk through it, explain your feelings, explain how all this is going on. But he just took it too far after that one. That was it. You climax. That was good. Yeah, no, it was a great climax. Well done. But we get to dinner.
Starting point is 00:27:54 And Emmy's taking a breather. inside and Mia goes to talk to her. Now, I was hoping that maybe this conversation because Mia was so very blunt with her about trying to paint why everyone's mad and why she should understand that everyone's mad because she, and she does it, she's literally talking to a two year old. She's slowly leading her down the path. We don't want to eat without you, but can you understand that Brad feels a certain way that is valid and you can. You can't. You can can't control how he feels about what you said. Do you get it?
Starting point is 00:28:34 Well, you're just having such a good day. Okay, let me try again. If you were Brad, you wouldn't like you either. Yeah, you're right. I'm just trying to take accountability. No, your accountability window closed. Okay. You had a chance.
Starting point is 00:28:49 You didn't do it because you're an asshole and you're racist. So you didn't. You understand? This scene was great for me because, it just again proves how good the rest of the cast is like me it could have gone in there and just tore her apart there's no point in tearing her apart but there is somewhat of a point i guess i mean they've known each other for a long time so i get it she wants to go in and just really just try to appeal to her try to make her understand what's going on not baby her not check in on her
Starting point is 00:29:16 as emmy probably thinks everybody's coming into check on her which is only going to make things worse because she's just going to completely go off the deep end keep hyperventilating maybe make sure that everybody understands that she's the victim in the situation, whatever, but it's not. It's, it's Mia going at it from a different angle. All right. Brad is done. Brad doesn't want to keep talking about this.
Starting point is 00:29:34 He doesn't want to keep doing this with you. He feels like it's a lost cause. Everybody else is steering clear. TJ wants nothing to do with you. Let me go in and try to appeal to you and get you to understand what's going on. No, you don't understand. Okay, cool. We're done.
Starting point is 00:29:46 We're done with this whole thing. Yeah, that's the vibe I got. Like this is Mia saying, I'm going to explain it to you. and then we're not talking about this show anymore. That's the vibe. So hopefully thing he's crossed, but Emmy joins the table. She just simply can't help herself either
Starting point is 00:30:03 because the stakes on the table, then I'm going to stop talking about her for the rest of the episode because she bums me out. She picks up the steak and goes, it's a little medium. Shut up. You have a problem with everything.
Starting point is 00:30:16 I can't stand you. Now I'm done talking about her. So anyway, Lake is people are trying to figure what's going on with her because obviously they've noticed her not having the best attitude seems kind of down so hey lake like what's going on well you know she overheard you guys talking about her and you would think that michael's would like start to rain it in and be like okay this seems like a good time for everybody to talk about it i'm 1,000 percent you're lying you're fucking lying quit he starts screaming at her i was like oh no oh and she i thought he got it all out
Starting point is 00:30:48 i really did think he got it all out all day and the way that only he can do it. Nope. He was ready to go. He was boiled over and ready to go after her. Yeah. And when after her, he did. And even when she gets up crying and running away from the table, he's chasing after her going, you don't get to play the victim. I cannot be friends with you if he continue. sobbing. Absolutely sobbing. I even wrote down in my notes, Hey, man, chill. It's not that serious. I know. I saw a lot of people talking about this too. like Michael's needs to just chill the fuck out. He opened the season screaming in Molly's face.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Now he's screaming in Lake's face. I think this is a much different situation. I took from this again, what I talked about earlier in the episode. This has happened a couple times. Lake has talked to her mom about this. This has happened again. Stop sticking your nose in other people's business.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Stop getting involved. Just do your own thing. Stop talking to people. Just keep your mouth shut. When people come to you about something and it's just the two of you, don't talk to anybody else about it. I think that she's done this. A lot.
Starting point is 00:31:47 And look, again, we talk about this all the time. I always try to remind people, Lake's like 22 years old. She's going to keep doing this shit. And Michael's is 23. Yeah. And Michaels doesn't quite understands that maybe you don't have to go scorched earth. But I do think that it needed to get to this point. And this is what we needed to see because they do care about each other.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Obviously, Lake really cares about Michael. So it really hurt her that he was doing this. He felt the need to get the point across to really, really drive at home. This was that scene. Like, we needed this no matter what. And again, this is something that. I'm going to applaud the whole cast for because take it to the group. Let everybody be there.
Starting point is 00:32:21 Let everybody witness what's going on. Even if you don't really know what's going on, you can still catch a vibe. Lake is weird. She keeps walking away. She stopped playing volleyball in the middle of the game. Nobody wanted to talk to her. Everybody kind of understood what was going on. Everything was very palpable.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Get it all out. This is the time to do it. Maybe running after her isn't the best call when you're still yelling at her. But it did lead to a good conversation where at least we can finally clear the air. it leads to a great conversation and I do think the air is fully cleared. But in that scene with Lake before they get back to the table, again, that's where he kind of lays out, you know, my friends are like my family. And friendship is very important. I hate that I lost my temper, but my trust is broken with someone.
Starting point is 00:33:01 It hurts to a deeper level because he is family with Lake. And so it bummed him out. So anyway, they get back to the table and Brad's trying to get Michaels to take a breath. Lake comes back with their sunglasses on again. Oh, wait. No, we're not there yet. Oh, my God. Oh, I miss this part.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Oh, I wish I didn't have to talk about this part. Michaels goes back to the table where Brad is trying to calm him down. Emmy goes to the bathroom to try to calm down Lake, question mark. No. No, not at all. First and foremost, it's not your fault. Well, that's not true. it is her fault.
Starting point is 00:33:45 She is the one that caused this. Did Michael's go too hard? Yeah, but no, this is, this is her fault. Actually, it's your fault, Emmy. That's the ironic part. You started all of this. But the craziest thing,
Starting point is 00:33:56 Blake is beside herself, sobbing uncontrollably. Emmy, the craziest thing, this had nothing to do with Brad's skin color. And I'll never get to express that to him. Holy fucking shit, dude. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:34:12 I'm not denying Brad's feelings. I'm happy that Lake and look in the moment she didn't say anything but Lake was pretty distraught anyway when she goes to her confessional she's like really Emmy we're gonna do this now like you can see what Emmy's doing at least Lake can see what Emmy's doing we all know what the hell she's doing everybody else knows what she's doing this was crazy this was oh cool I can maybe drive a wedge between lake and the rest of the group by telling her what's going on and say we're in the same boat you're not in the same boat. The fact that you don't realize that you're in the same boat or you're not in the same boat.
Starting point is 00:34:48 You're not in the same body of water. Yeah, that is part of the problem is that you think what's going on with Lake and Michaels is even remotely close to what you're going through with Brett. It is crazy. It doesn't make any sense, but it shows you where Emmy is. It shows you where she's thinking, what she wants to do, how she wants to accomplish that. She's trying to pull Lake further away from the rest of the group. So she's on Team Emmy, which is apparently very far away. she's not doing that with Maddie and Joe.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Maddie and Joe are being nice to her and leaving her alone. They seem to still be friends for whatever reason. You know, I don't really understand all of that, but, you know, prerogative, whatever. But they're not doing, or rather, Emmy is not doing that with Maddie and Joe, because she knows that Maddie and Joe are too smart and understand all of the things going on. She thinks that maybe she's got Lake exactly where she needs to, to have her fully on her team. Like, all right, cool. Yeah, you understand what's going on because Michaels is being really mean to you.
Starting point is 00:35:41 And you know what Brad's being kind of mean to you? as well. He's being mean to me. And he'll never understand that this is not about the color. Shut up. Just shut the fuck up. Go away. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. I'm not denying Brad's feelings, but I need to say my peace. I'm not entitled to feel uncomfortable. Not allowed to vocalize how I feel. Again, last time, you said what you said. That was your chance before. So you are allowed to vocalize how you feel because you have. You've also done it on Face Times and in confessionals, we've heard you vocalize how you feel. We've also watched you lie to Brad about how you feel.
Starting point is 00:36:19 So no, this was crazy even for Emmy to go in there and try to do this shit. But anyway, my gosh, Woo-Sah, we get back to the table. And Brad feels for Lake. And again, to those dickheads that are DMing Brad, Brad and Lake have been fine. They squash this already. And Lake knows that. So she's not, it's not a Brad. This is a Michael's thing now.
Starting point is 00:36:46 She returns. They start talking. And Michael's finally softens up a little bit. Lake has a big cry. This is like a good cry. Michaels has a good cry. And they, they reunite,
Starting point is 00:36:58 which we all wanted to see. And hopefully in the future, she's not talking about people's stuff. And hopefully in the future, if that does, well, if it happens again, I don't think he'll ever talk to her.
Starting point is 00:37:10 No. Yeah, we just got a thing he's crossed that he doesn't do that again. I was going to say, and next time he won't get as mad. But yeah, he probably would. He probably would actually because they already had that conversation. Yeah, let's hope that this was a good learning experience for Lake. Yeah, I think so. And meanwhile, Emmy's sitting there.
Starting point is 00:37:30 I knew she was going to do this. But even when it happened, I was like, really? She's like, oh, wow, he accepted her apology. And I'm literally right here. They all see you. The Brad piece of this, like that's what doesn't make any sense to me because like this was like a cordiality. Like this was just Brad reiterating. We're good.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Correct. We had a conversation. We're okay. You don't have to look at me any differently. It's not like I'm talking to Michaels on the side like like Lake just doesn't get it or anything like that. Like nothing like that is going on. We had a conversation. I understand where you were coming from.
Starting point is 00:38:03 We understand each other. We're good. Like we moved on, but I'm going to let you know again because I know that you're in a bad state. of mind right now. Correct. We're cool. We're completely cool. Just to let you know once again so that you don't have any second doubts.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Perfect. Great. Let's move on to the Michael's piece of it because that's where the real issue is. So you guys can have it out, but you do need to have it out. And look, Lake putting her sunglasses on is undoubtedly very funny again because she did it when she was hammered and made up with Molly. And she just moved on, which gives me a lot of hope anyway. But she puts your sunglasses on basically so people can't really see her crying too much,
Starting point is 00:38:36 I guess. when she is openly sobbing at the table. And it's all of the stuff that we already knew. Like you're a brother to me. I felt like you feel like I betrayed you. I'm so sorry for everything. I didn't mean to do it. I just didn't know what I was doing.
Starting point is 00:38:50 I didn't realize it was going to get back to. And I love that they're just like, I didn't realize it was going to get back to her. And it's just Emmys sitting at the end of the table. I'm like, great. Cool. Let's just refer to her as her. I don't even want to hear her name.
Starting point is 00:39:02 Let's just act like she's not even here. I didn't realize it was going to get back to she that shall not be named. cool all right michael's you have it out and just tell me everything that you're feeling and michael's needed this honestly because he just really needed her to understand what she did wrong because up until now i mean we had our questions we had our suspicions but we didn't really know how michael's felt we just saw him giving the cold shoulder we had an understanding of where he was coming from but this kind of really it clears the air as to as to what he's feeling the whole time i agree i agree and it's nice to see them reunite and even amidst all of this happening at the table and even
Starting point is 00:39:35 lake going down this path once again of saying, you know, I am, I'm always an ally and I'm an advocate and I always speak out against these things. Even while she's saying that, the only part that I mean heard was that she didn't get apologized to. She's explaining the whole, this whole thing stems back to you. I also love about like six minutes ago in our podcast. You said last time. I know, she got to stop doing stupid shit. I know. She has to stop doing shit. She has stop talking. enough enough of her. Get off the show, please. But anyway,
Starting point is 00:40:13 after dinner, we got some shenanigans afoot. You got T.J. and Mia, they're fooling around a little bit, getting a little flurdy. DJ and Mia, no way.
Starting point is 00:40:20 That would be Justin and Mia. Got my notes crossed over here. There was some like cross mingling. I mean, TJ did show ass. He was showing some ass. He's like, hey, guys,
Starting point is 00:40:31 check out my ass. Show some cheeks. It's like your great ass. Show some cheeks. Why not? Yeah, great cheeks. Now, the me and Justin thing doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. But again, we talked about it last week.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Mia's single. Justin's- It gets funny. He gets fun. He's saying type shit like every five seconds, which it seemed like a hit. I got kind of tired of it here in the type shit. But, you know, we know how those weekends go. You just kind of have one thing that you latch on to and it's funny every single time.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Yeah, but. But, yeah. I mean, this makes a ton of sense, I guess. Let's see how this goes. We've got Jordan at home who we'll check in with her in the morning. We have to do all of that. Not really worried about it right now. How about you guys take?
Starting point is 00:41:09 I would just make out. Yes, you kiss, we kiss. You kiss, we kiss. That's how this is going to work. It seems like TJ and, DJ and Michaels had the more fun end of the stick, if you want to call it that. Hey, no pun intended.
Starting point is 00:41:25 That led to a very fun evening for those two gentlemen. Me and Justin, they're just feeling things out. Yeah, you know, we got some chemistry. This is, this is work. And we're having a good time. Let's just have a little small. mooch and they made them kiss like six times okay all right this is enough i don't need to see too much of that but whatever it gets people going it gets people fired up and that's what you want to say
Starting point is 00:41:44 exactly and as we said earlier threw it a little ross lick and they got to get you know i'm saying and there is no better mood setter than the ladies of salt lake so it's a beautiful scene it's a beautiful scene the commentary was very funny too because it was like is that's your aunt eater it is Hey, oh, well, that stuff on your butt tastes good. It was my favorite line. I just wrote, well done, boys. Well, done. But we get to the morning after, and I would have punched Justin in the balls immediately.
Starting point is 00:42:19 I hate this person on trips. It's me. I'm usually up anyway, but I don't like this person that goes around like it's time to get. Go away, dude. He's still drunk. That's, I understand. He's marinated for sure. I fully understand what's going on,
Starting point is 00:42:37 especially like watching them because there's probably like three drivers, the rest of them, they're just going back to Charleston. I'm a little hungover. I'm going to have a mimosa. He probably started. He probably just popped the champagne a little early, not feeling great,
Starting point is 00:42:49 not driving home, not really going to worry about it. Well, I can't be the only one sitting out here. What's everybody else up to? Oh, sleeping. Not for long. We've got some cleaning up to do,
Starting point is 00:42:58 and we've got some drinking to do, boys. Get up. Come up. No. Yeah. to punch him in the balls i'll punch you in the balls to do that to me but molly coming out hung over as shit was very funny the whole scene is just i i think we've all been in this room at some point in our lives just you know you're recouping from the night before you definitely should have a
Starting point is 00:43:18 a mimosa or a bloody mary just gets you right back to neutral it just you never stop drinking and then you never get hung over yeah i mean that's one way to look at it the other way to look at it is when you're on a trip and you're not in the comfort of your own own home where you can properly rot on the couch with a blanket and watch Real Housewives of Salt Lake City or something like that and order some food, you still have to get back to Charleston. Do you want to be miserable and start your hangover right away? Or do you want to have a mimosa and stave it off for a little bit? Maybe get a little goofy.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Maybe you bring a pen down there and you hit the old Benjamin. That could work. Get you somewhere nice for the car ride home and then you get home and then you properly rot and then you can just be dead to the world. That's the way to do it. So if you're going to do it that way, I appreciate that. Molly was very funny though because apparently she was just what did they say drinking from the bottle like which by the way they made it seem like she went to sleep at 9 p.m. I was like oh poor Molly.
Starting point is 00:44:11 She just had a long day. She was up at 1 a.m. still drinking from the bottle. So she went to sleep. Had a great night of sleep, I guess. Comes out. It's a very funny like mixed match of everybody because you got the other people who are like, yeah, I'm getting ready for the day. I'm getting dressed. I'm ready to roll.
Starting point is 00:44:27 And you've got like Mia still wearing the dress from the night before. Like I really don't give a shit. I'm just wearing. what I was wearing last night. I'm not really worried about any of this. That's a good group. That's a very good group on a trip. 100%.
Starting point is 00:44:39 And we get to hear about a little bit more. You know, Justin's talking about the Jordan situation and Mia's saying, look, we're not friends. We don't send memes. We don't chit chat. So I agree with her.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Like, you don't owe her anything. I fully agree. Yeah. Justin, I can't say the same about, but he did call her. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:44:58 he told her. Yeah. Which is more than I anticipate. from old Justin over there. I agree. I really like Justin. I think he's a good kind of fuck boy if there ever was one. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:45:10 he calls Jordan. He says he got cussed out. And he's like, you know, I probably dragged this situation ship on a little bit too long, which, yeah, probably,
Starting point is 00:45:19 but at least I was actually impressed that he called her to face the music. And it looked like when they were panned over to him, that he was really going through it. He probably sent her something. I doubt he called her, but he probably said her. Like, hey, this is what was going on. And he was dealing with it that morning.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Like, oh, shit. Knowing their weird situation, ship, Jordan was probably in his apartment doing his laundry or something. Like waiting for him to come home. Waiting for him to come home with like a breakfast sandwich. Like, all right, I'm excited for you to come home. We can hang out. I'll help you through your hangover. Oh, oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Well, I'm not folding your laundry. What I go fuck yourself. Yeah, I already folded it. But I'm not going to fold anymore. Yeah. That's tough. It's tough. especially I forget that she works with all of them.
Starting point is 00:46:03 When she walked in later, I was like, ooh, that's uncomfortable. Tough dynamic. But Joey is talking about his party. He's sunk five months of rent into this thing. And this is a tough one because I love Joe. I love Joe very much. He's a very nice person.
Starting point is 00:46:28 But this is kind of a microcosm of everything. Right. you're so focused on this thing that is self-serving that you are putting a lot of money into with no real returns and your other shit is falling to the wayside, even more so than we knew, as we're going to find out a little bit later. So that's where I struggle. He's so likable,
Starting point is 00:46:51 but at the same time, it's like, you kind of want to shake him. Yeah. It's a tough situation. I really thought he was going to spin it into maybe Lever, shows up to this party. She realizes that I can get things together.
Starting point is 00:47:06 And when I really set my mind to it, I do this. By the way, that's going to happen. But he hasn't done it yet, which means it's not true. I thought he was going to do it. He didn't do it. He's just hyper-focused on it. Hearing that he sunk five months of rent into that, I guess he talked to the guys because he said he was up in Brooklyn, went to Emo night, which, you know, I'm familiar
Starting point is 00:47:26 with all of that. I guess he talked to the guys and said, hey, you need to come down to Charleston. They said, we need a venue. So he probably secured the venue. and then secured all for other things paid for travel had them come down so he's not a long money in this he probably didn't need to um he probably could have gotten them to come down at any time and just got them in touch with like a venue and that could have been that and then maybe you get some free tickets and you get to go promote and do whatever you want fine you could have done this
Starting point is 00:47:53 a lot of yes drop pop to sponsor it yeah like dude like anything anything at all but i was very surprised that he didn't spin this into levy can see that i can coordinate this whole party and i can bring a whole lot of value it has nothing to do with leva actually what you should have done was probably bring levit in on the ground floor and say hey i met these guys up in Brooklyn i'm actually interested in doing something for my birthday it also coincides with the show maybe we can get republic involved in some way i don't know it's just something i'm thinking about but i'm not really sure of the details and then bring her in on it because then that shows you hey i'm thinking outside the box like yes, they're still going to have the issue that we talk about a little bit later that
Starting point is 00:48:33 he's just not engaged. He gets engaged for a couple of weeks and he's showing up. He's getting tables and then he checks out because he's doing something else. You can do both. You're allowed to do both. You're allowed to sit down with Levin and say you're thinking about this and ask her for some help and then show that you can do both. That's probably the best way to go about it.
Starting point is 00:48:51 But we've seen this before. He got hyper focused and he just dropped the ball at work. Yeah. But we're back in Charleston and Joe and Maddie are waking. up and they're having a little conversation before they head out. And Joe says he's hung over. And you get a very interesting response from Maddie. Yeah, try to do better at that.
Starting point is 00:49:10 What's that? Never mind. She goes to a confessional and talks about the fact that Joe's going through a lot, you know, his career struggling. He's been coping with alcohol, which is a very layered situation given Maddie's history, given Maddie's past, all those things. And as they're going through this little montage,
Starting point is 00:49:30 of Joe, it kind of confirms that. He literally says, like, I'm getting bombarded for like the first hour or two and I love it, but then I want to drink. Mm-hmm. Ah. So you're kind of pointing to it. I thought this was going to be a different situation than I was going to, like, it's, obviously, it's a weird situation because he's still, as far as we know, he's still going
Starting point is 00:49:54 out and doing whatever, but like, Maddie's your dream girl and she's sober. So there are going to be concessions that you're going to have to take along the way. I thought this was going to be one of those conversations where it's like, okay, we do need to figure out like some ground rules. We need to figure out how it's, you know, just to try to put me in the best place for my sobriety, which obviously is a very good spot to be when you're in a relationship. Talk about that. Figure those things out. That's fine. Have that conversation on camera if you want to.
Starting point is 00:50:18 You don't have to if you don't want to. I thought that's the road that we were going down. But it was a more troubling road as we find out a little bit later. and at first I'm like, okay, uncomfortable. Let's see how this goes because Joe's not going to be able to handle an uncomfortable situation like this. It's not bad at all. It's a lot more than all of that.
Starting point is 00:50:35 It's more actually somewhat almost in the realm of what Lev is talking about. Like you're here, you're not here. You're here. You're not here. Apparently he's doing that also with Maddie and telling her, yeah, I'm working, but I'm doing this. Yeah, I'm working, but I'm actually doing this. So it's a lot deeper of a conversation than what I thought it was going to be originally.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Yeah, it's concern over the amount that he's drinking. It's concern about where he's, he's putting his focus, lying, all of those different things. And yeah, when you're with somebody in recovery, all of those things are triggers, not just the booze part, but the lying part, the not being where you said you were, being hyper fixated on something else. And all of those things can lead to trouble down the road. And I think we've seen this before.
Starting point is 00:51:17 But as the conversation gets tough, to Maddie's credit, she's laying it out. And she's not doing it in an aggressive way. She's just saying like, hey, this is what I've seen. hey, you're kind of doing the thing that you always do. And I want you to rein it in. I want you to be successful is the root of all of this. Like the drinking is troubling. But the root of it is I want you to stop doing this,
Starting point is 00:51:37 stop doing that so you can go do your thing finally. And you keep getting sidetracked. Joe shuts the combo down. You know what? Let's get up. Let's get out here. You know, it'll be fine. Everything's going to be fine.
Starting point is 00:51:47 He doesn't really talk about it, doesn't dive into it, which is a shame because I'm pretty positive that he looks up to Maddie and admires Maddie and admires her career. You would think that in a moment like this, listen to her. She's gotten to a pretty incredible spot in her career. You would think that he would want to pick her brain or if she's saying this. Or if you have Maddie and Leva, the two people in the world, you probably respect the most, both telling you like the same exact thing.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Maybe you should listen. Instead of getting defensive and rationalizing that what you're doing is not bad, because that's what you do every time is you convince yourself that no, no, they're just misunderstanding the situation. I'm so focused on this. Leva, if Leva could see what I've done with Emo Knight, she'd be stoked. But again, Emo Knight is your thing. Going about it the wrong way, yeah. Yes, it's correct. But that whole situation is just, look, obviously we love Joe.
Starting point is 00:52:47 So I think it's a bit nuanced. I think there is a little bit more to it. And obviously, we can sit here and say, you should take away something. from the conversation because Maddie's coming from a place of love. She's not she's not coming from a place of selfishness or telling him that he needs to stop if they want to actually get a relationship together. She's being very gentle because she's probably seen the way that he reacts and he's going to, you know, not storm off, but he's going to react negatively.
Starting point is 00:53:08 He's going to be, feel judged. He's going to feel like he needs to explain himself and he's going to come up with excuses or whatever it might be. So she's going about it the way that she thinks that she needs to go about it. But for Joe, I like I get it. I mean, we do see this. And yes, all of this is. of his own doing.
Starting point is 00:53:24 But the way that we've seen Joe move this season, he does feel like everybody else is moving up. We had that scene last week where he said that he looked up to Brad and Brad's younger that him and Brad's doing all these great things. He wishes he could do that and he just wants to be in a good spot to do that. But he doesn't realize that he needs to keep doing what he was doing to get back to that spot. You lost that spot because of how you were acting last summer.
Starting point is 00:53:46 So he does look at it like, wow, everybody's moving up. Maddie's got all these great things. Brad has all these great things. Leva had all these great things. She said that I was next in love. line and I'm not next in line. So it's almost like he's in that spot where he's kind of blaming other people. And he doesn't really know where to put all of his emotions.
Starting point is 00:54:01 He doesn't really know what to do. And instead of doing the things that he needs to do, which, you know, obviously we can look and say, dude, do that. This is the way to go. He's sort of spiraling and he's doing it the only way that he knows how, which is, well, I'm just going to rely back on like drinking and then I'm going to make excuses and saying, well, I was working and then I went out to a different bar. But it was another Republic bar.
Starting point is 00:54:21 And I was trying to get people to come in. but actually I was just drinking. So like he's kind of rationalizing it the way that he is. And I'm hoping again, this is just something that's kind of like short-lived. Like, okay, have your moment, go do those things. But then you're going to realize really quickly like, no, that's not the way to achieve my dreams.
Starting point is 00:54:37 That's not the way to get back to those things. It's just the way that you think you should be doing, but you're not really doing it the right way. And hopefully again, it's just short-lived. We only have to deal with this for like a week or two. And then they can move on. Yeah, I hope so. but it does seem like a very familiar place.
Starting point is 00:54:55 Like we've been here before. We've seen this song and dance before. Hopefully turning 30 might kick him in the ass a little bit and realize that you need to focus on something to move forward. Because if not, like I feel like he latches onto something, gets excited, goes all in,
Starting point is 00:55:11 fizzles out, wash, rinse, repeat. So hopefully he can find his thing and let it stick. And unfortunately, it's going to pile on for him because we get back to Republic and levels like four tables.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Yeah. Talking to everybody, but staring at Joe. Four fucking tables, that's pathetic, this weak as shit. And she's not pulling any punches. And to respond to that in a confessional by saying,
Starting point is 00:55:35 I'm preoccupied with my own event. I don't need someone breathing down my fucking neck. Is quite literally the problem, Joe. That in itself is your issue right now. You're focused on your individual event that has, know anything to do with Republic. And you're telling your boss at the same time in a confessional to stop breathing down your neck because you're focused on your own thing at work.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Yeah. Yeah. Tough place to be. Yeah, not great. Well, let's get to service. We're almost there. And Joe sells a table. And in Joe's mind, he's like, see Leva.
Starting point is 00:56:14 I'm ready for the big leagues. And Leva goes, this last minute attempt is operating from a place of fear and insecurity. He's not doing a whole lot to impress me. It's like, oh, yeah. God, that's true. But God, that hurts. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:30 I mean, it just shows you how far apart they are. Again, I mean, we've seen tough conversations with Joe. It doesn't seem like it's sinking in, but it does seem like it's getting to a point where it's going to be a bit of a breaking point. Like, do you even want to be here? Do you even want to be doing these things? Go off and do your own thing if that's what you want to do. Obviously, you know, he's pretty enjoying. entrenched in the show, so the show will be there.
Starting point is 00:56:53 And obviously him and Maddie are still dating, so that'll still be there. But this might not be the move for you. If you can't sit and wait and be patient and get back to where you need to be and show the hard work, then you're going to have to move on. And look, that's fine, but he's going to have to realize that for himself. I don't know if he's going to be able to make that realization. Yeah. I think that Leva is going to drop the hammer at some.
Starting point is 00:57:14 I don't know if she's going to fire him. I could definitely see like, we're putting you on pause kind of situation. Like you're taking a breather. because you need to go figure out what you actually want. And Maddie's pissed off because she didn't know where he was the night before. He said he was working. She checked his location and he was at another bar drinking. That's when he tries to spin it into.
Starting point is 00:57:35 I was at Lamar's. I was working. I was working at a bar that your boss owns. That's a very different thing than you working there. And you can see him kind of just spin everything that she's saying, one, into gaslighting the shit out of her. Like that was some top tier gas lighting. I don't know if you could have like honestly, that was kind of crazy because everything she says,
Starting point is 00:58:00 he has an excuse, but none of his excuses are valid. And yet, no, he just doubles down, triples down, quadruples down. I sent you a picture from bed showing her the timestamp. It's like, honestly, dude, that's not really the point.
Starting point is 00:58:14 You get so fixated on the fact that she said, Bender, that you're not listening to why, she's actually upset. Again, this is the root of everything. This is the same thing as Leva. This is the same thing as your current situation in life. All of it is literally the same topic coming at different angles with different nuances
Starting point is 00:58:34 to it, but it all leads back to the same road. It's time to shit or get off the pot, dude. You are 30 years old. You are growing up. Make a decision and stick to it. At the very least, try something and fail at it. you know, but don't start shit and then keep walking away because you quote unquote need to go support Maddie on her trip because I didn't even think about that. But as Maddie says in this scene, I don't want Joe's behavior to reflect badly on me because Levis saying that I'm dragging him down by telling him to come with me or staying out late or whatever.
Starting point is 00:59:08 So I don't know. I do feel like we're at a crossroads here, like a fork in the road for old Joey. He's going to need to make a decision. but I don't want to leave out. Michaels is modeling now. You got a talent manager out in L.A. and he's doing the cover for So. Dot Gay.
Starting point is 00:59:27 And yeah, scenes from next week, he looks hot as shit. So yeah, well done, Michael's. Absolutely rocks. Now let's get to some questions.
Starting point is 00:59:36 Uh, this is the question that everybody wants to know from Bree Kenny hair. Are we all done with Emmy and her white woman tears yet? Get rid of her. I, I don't know. I, going into this season,
Starting point is 00:59:47 obviously she came back I thought this was just going to be her getting ripped apart the entire season and it's not so yeah I mean we're gonna get to a point like I said before it's not gonna be worth it to even battle with her and she's not gonna have anybody on her team for the most part it's not gonna make any sense to keep her so they're gonna kind of force she's kind of forcing Bravo's hand at this point yep from Mike bros our T.J and Michael's the best Bravo hookup we need right now in the dark Bravo world I would actually argue that the brava world is not that dark anymore we've we've kind of gotten through the darkness there were
Starting point is 01:00:24 dark times very dark times where we had to talk about a lot of weird and uncomfortable things that we shouldn't be talking about we're kind of out of that but also yes tj michaels are the best bravo hookup right now for me i thought they were alluding to the west and amanda situation amidst all the turmoil right now it depends on your definition of dark then i guess yeah this is a great question from n brackman man how many more seasons do you think emmy will participate. I don't know. I don't know. I think that I if I had to bet I would say this is her last. Yeah. It just for the show, like I don't even give a shit about her own mental well-being. Who cares? I think for the show and the plot of the show, it doesn't make any sense to have her on the show anymore.
Starting point is 01:01:07 I agree. She is now detrimental to the show. And that's when I don't mind having somebody on the cast that nobody likes like sometimes it's a necessary evil kind of thing she's detrimental to the show because she deviates from actually good plot points and then we have to go back to her bullshit and she doesn't ever have a redeeming moment
Starting point is 01:01:30 it's not like we're going to watch this season and see her have like this come to Jesus moment where she's normal again so yeah yeah shoo uh from from attica green is emmy the loudest quote unquote silence person ever Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Yeah. Yeah. I think she is actually. Yeah. Yes. Robert Taylor, writer of stuff. What are the chances Emmy got the brain eating bacteria? I think we would have been able to see a difference in her, in her emotions. She probably would have been nicer and normal if she had a brain eating amoeba. I don't think she got it. This is actually interesting.
Starting point is 01:02:06 From Maria L. Sellers, do you think Leva will actually hold Emmy accountable for her racist behavior this season? What do you think Leva has to say about it? Leva's been very quiet on a lot of issues. Really the only step in that we've seen from Leva is congratulating T.J. on Sir Wieners and talking about Joe not being a good employee. So I don't know. She doesn't seem to be like I know she's a producer on the show. So she should get involved at some point.
Starting point is 01:02:32 Maybe towards the end of the season, we'll see that. But I'm not going to hold out hope because it seems like Leva is kind of doing a hands off situation, which is a better way to do that. I'll save that one for the end if you got one or two more. Oh, God. Is it the Rachel Michaelis question? No, that's a good one too, though. Okay, good.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Rachel Nicholas asked, which couple would you rather go to dinner with? Will it Emmy or Amanda and West? Amanda and West. I couldn't deal with those two. I can't deal with those two. But like Amanda and West is actually kind of interesting. I want to pick their brain.
Starting point is 01:03:08 Yeah, that one could be like... First question, how fucking dare you? Yeah. God damn it, you two. God damn it. but yeah Will and Emmy I think I would rip my hair out because they just sit there and lie
Starting point is 01:03:22 and gaslight and yeah just no no all right go ahead and ask your question for the young right last one here of course I lost it give me one second
Starting point is 01:03:37 now here we go from Nicky Mono 23 does it annoy you that the two people with Philly connections are the worst people Emmy and Trevor Yes. What's Emmy's Philly connection? Oh, she's from the area. Her dad played for the Eagles or her grandfather played for the Eagles or something.
Starting point is 01:03:54 Oh, God. Not only a Philly connection, but an Eagles connection? Yep. Yeah, that pisses me off. Yep. It's pretty, pretty upsetting. Pretty upsetting. But yeah, we'll see what happens next week.
Starting point is 01:04:08 I want to know more about all of the people on this show. I like everybody on this cast. and we continue to get bogged down with Emmy and her shit. I'm done. We have too much good shit to talk about to be stuck on this bullshit. Yeah. Well, we'll see how it goes. That's all I got.

Starting point is 01:05:34 Let's get started. There are vampires out there. They walk among you, shoulder to shoulder in the dark. Heading to work, heading home, going to the bar. It's a light. just like anyone else's, and I have grown used to it, to the darkness, to the moon, to the taste of blood on my tongue. But vampires are dying out. We are a fading kind, and I am the first one created in so long, and that is a dangerous thing to be. Those who came before me, elders of all stripes, they do not want to see our kind gone, and they will do anything to keep their power. And for myself, and for grace who created me, that is a sword that hangs above our heads. And the worst, person of all carries our secret, and he will use it however he sees fit. Who do you look to
Starting point is 01:06:28 when things are at their darkest? From the creators of Parkdale Haunt comes Woodbine, a podcast about monsters, dreams, and changes, those you want and those you never saw coming. Season 2 arrives September 24th, distributed by Realm.
