Bros & Shows - Tattoo Party at the Playboy Mansion (RHOC Full Recap S20E1)

Episode Date: July 10, 2026

What's up bros?? We're back for another thrilling season of RHOC and you already know how we feel about this show so let's just say a quick prayer for our good fortune this year. Thankfully, it seems ...bringing Vicki back into the fold can help mitigate some of the stupid issues we keep pushing every season so at least we have that (for maybe 5 episodes). The other potentially fun wrinkle is Jenn seems to want to hold Heather accountable for not holding Tamra accountable so we have ourselves an accountability-off. Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm trying to be as optimistic as I can. I feel like, because of the past few years of covering this show, I'm a little bit jaded. But I'm doing my absolute best to go into this season of Orange County with a positive demeanor. I thought this was a great episode. I enjoyed this episode. I just hate the cast so much that the individuals piss me off. I need to get over it. The episode was fine.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Yeah, the episode was fine. I seem to think that the Vicky effect will run its course and run out about the sixth or seventh episode, which will leave us with 12 episodes of hating it. Yeah, yeah. So I know that's going to come, but I decide right now that I'm just going to enjoy this six-week stretch where I'm enjoying the show. And there's a couple different pieces that are looking promising. But realistically, I know that it's going to turn and take a turn for the worst. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a...
Starting point is 00:01:01 Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Brov Bros. Good evening, everybody.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros. Your favorite podcast from the Bros. For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I am your co-host, St.Rustle, joined as always by the one and only Vicki Goodfelssohn. What's up, dude? I like that. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Yeah, that's a good one. Let's just be realistic right now. For the next couple of weeks, if OC ends up being typical OC, we are going to be miserable at the end of every week. We're going to have to front load our happiness for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday covering different shows. And then by the time Thursday hits, which usually will probably end up recording OC on Friday anyway.
Starting point is 00:01:58 but yeah, by the time Thursday hits, that Thursday Friday gap is going to be terrible. I really hope that next gen can just keep us happy. So far, I've really enjoyed next gen. The double O.C. Valley duo is going to be potentially difficult. Again, it's the stuff might nightmares are made of.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Yes, it is. It certainly is. This episode was good. I had no issues with this episode at all. I just get irritated by Tamara, Heather's pissing me off, but I don't want to go into this season like that. It's just we always have to clean up last season in the beginning. And that's the part where I'm like, oh, God, we're doing it again. But overall, I liked, I liked what we got.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Carmelo seems interesting. She seems like a fun addition to the show. So I don't know. I think it's hard to make predictions because we've been. let down so hard. We're not doing it. Yeah, we're not doing predictions. We are not doing predictions because we do that every year and it fucks us every single time. Maybe that's- Carmelah. I just need her. I feel like I started off when she jumped in. I'm like, ooh, I want to get some tea from the Playboy Mansion. I want to hear everything
Starting point is 00:03:13 that she has to say. And then later in the episode, I'm like, you know what? Just splash in here and there with a couple different stories. I feel like if you talk about it too much, it's going to get really annoying. And I don't think that's going to go over well with the rest of the girls. And that's just going to open you up for a lot of different insults with this group. But the way that I've decided to go into this is Vicky mediating between Shannon and Tamara can be a good thing, getting Heather involved via Jen, which we kind of predicted last year, like Jen's going to be more involved this year. I hope that she continues down that path.
Starting point is 00:03:44 And it looks like she is, at least in this first episode. That's really all I'm going to focus on and then see what Carmela has. when the scenes of Emily and Gina popping up, I'm tuning it out. I'm telling you guys right now, if there is any scenes, which we had two scenes, which is fine,
Starting point is 00:03:59 it's the first episode, you kind of have to check in with everybody individually, whatever. But when those scenes come in and it's just Gina talking about her being engaged to Travis, then you go over to Emily
Starting point is 00:04:08 and she's just talking about her kids, I'm tuning out. I don't even know if we're going to talk about it. We might just glide past those scenes throughout this whole season. Yeah. To your point about Jen, I like that she's pulling Heather in,
Starting point is 00:04:20 because this is kind of where we get stuck every year. Heather defends Tamara blindly. Heather talks shit about Tamara. Heather never takes it to Tamara. When she does, it's very gentle. Then we kind of move on from it. I'm glad that we're getting a Jen that's comfortable enough now to push the narrative, to kind of poke a little bit because that's what the show really has been missing.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Because we had these big blowouts. We had these big fights. Tamara does some outrageous shit. And nobody does anything about it. And that's what I lose my mind. And, you know, Shannon's not going to do it, obviously. We've seen her try. It just doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:04:55 So now she's going to go with the I'm just not talking anymore or not talking to Tamara, period. So Jen doing that gives me a lot of hope. And I want to see Heather squirm a little bit. I want to see her try to answer for, hey, when we all went to dinner, you talked all kinds of shit. And then you called Tamara the next day. You guys were buddy, buddy. I'm glad that Tamara finally heard that. So that was a positive.
Starting point is 00:05:17 So see, I'm being positive. Yeah. But let's jump into this episode and we get a montage of Vicki Gunwelson over the last 20 years of her being a housewife. I'm glad she's back. I thought it was weird that, you know, she gets a lifetime housewife achievement award and that she was not in the show. That doesn't make any sense to me. So she's back where she belongs. And we kind of have a new Vicky apparently.
Starting point is 00:05:41 She's living in Mexico now. She bobs around from Porto Vierta. Then she goes to two other places that I didn't write down. but she's in this like zen period of her life. We'll see how long that lasts. I think we've heard this from a lot of housewives, especially coming back onto the screen. I'm a different,
Starting point is 00:05:58 different Vicki now. Yeah. Yeah, give it four episodes. I actually give it about like 75% of this episode because by the time we get to Heather's party in the end, she's already kind of popping off a little bit. I imagine there's a lot going on. Obviously we know she's gone through a lot.
Starting point is 00:06:15 And then she had to get assist removed. I mean, that's just Vicki, a T. She's always got something going on, unfortunately, or, you know, kind of fortunately, depending on how you look at it, because you're going to get great reactions out of her every single time. But I think she's got a lot of energy and she's going to try to burn it and she's going to burn it quick. Will she burn through it all very quickly? Probably. I don't know where we're going to be in the midseason, but I'm happy that she's back. And I love, this is a good way to just start off
Starting point is 00:06:39 the season. Just get Vicki right out there, have her holding her orange. She's not letting the orange go. She's down in Mexico away from everybody else. Shannon's there. We get to start off the season like this. All right, Shannon, where are you? What's going on? Well, I'm not talking to Tamara. Okay, all right, that's good. That's a great way to start.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Hopefully that keeps up. It never does. I mean, we watched it last season. But I like the idea of Vicky being this middle woman between Tamara and Shannon. Because it can be fun. It can actually create resolution or it can just create more chaos and it's good chaos at least. Now, I get worried with the other people in the group. So the three of them, the trace amigas, let them go.
Starting point is 00:07:16 have fun do your thing go back and forth i don't care but once you see emily start inserting herself heather's not going to insert herself jennel probably insert herself at some point that's when it gets a little too messy so i wanted to just kind of be the three of them figuring things out for at least a little while i agree and you know the shannon update she got another dog because her psychic told her that archie needs her brother i wonder if that psychic has a dog breeding company and she was like you definitely need to get archie a brother brother and she's just trying to sell dogs via psychic readings. Yeah, just selling it to like empty nest mothers who now don't have their children living
Starting point is 00:07:55 with them anymore and they only have one dog. It's like, you need another dog. You definitely need a dog. I was, and we saw that last year too when the woman came, the woman came to Shannon's house and said, look at Archie out there. He's sad. He wants a little sibling. He wants someone else to play with.
Starting point is 00:08:09 And maybe she's right. I mean, a lot of dogs do you like that. Unfortunately, we did find out a couple of weeks ago that Archie did pass, which sucks. He got really sick. I think he had a tumor or something. Just really bad. But she's at least we know that she has another dog because I would start to worry about
Starting point is 00:08:25 Shannon if she didn't have another dog. You think the psychic brought that up because she knew Archie was going to pass away. Oh, maybe. Yeah. You know what? You can sell me on dog psychics on people psychics and, you know, holistic healers, things like that. Yeah, you're never going to get me for.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Okay. That's fair. But let's go to Heather Dying Scarves. She's with Gina and Tamara. And again, we have to clean up last year. This is pretty much standard, especially for this show. And then stuff happens in the off season. Now, what they're talking about, and this is, again, why Gina sucks.
Starting point is 00:09:01 She's like, oh, are you here to burn it all down? Because there's a clip from Jeff Lewis. Tamara went on there and ranted and raved about the season last year and said all kinds of shit, talking shit, saying mean stuff. And Gina out of the gate, I was like, oh. Are you going to hold her accountable? Those are just jokes. Okay. No problem.
Starting point is 00:09:20 They're jokes. That's all, that's fine by me. I have no issues with that then. Fuck. Like, come on. You can't start immediately. For me, anyway, it's just picking battles. That is such an unnecessary battle,
Starting point is 00:09:35 something that happened in the offseason on a podcast or radio station. Tamara does that. She does it for clicks. She wants people to have eyes on her on the show. She's always going to produce for the show. she's always going to produce for the show. And then, of course, as soon as the season starts, like, I didn't mean anything like that.
Starting point is 00:09:48 It wasn't that bad. It's not delicious. I don't really, I don't really want you guys to burn. I just want to have some fun. I'm coming back. We're having a good time. Baby, come on. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Now we got Vicky back in the mix. That's what we're going to expect. So I, this is fine. There's certain battles with Tamara that I want her to be held accountable. She never will be held accountable, but I want her to be. This is just not one of them. This is a sweep it under the rug moment for me. No, and that's fine.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I just more mean, if you're going to bring it up, like at least follow through or don't bring it up. Yeah. Like there's no reason to reference it. And then, you know, it was a time where Gina wouldn't bring it up anyway. So maybe that's better for me, honestly. Yeah. But, you know, she's talking about like last year you said you didn't feel like you had any support. Nobody was there for you.
Starting point is 00:10:33 It's like, do you remember her last year? Like she didn't really deserve any support. She's like, no. Yeah. And then you guys all took a picture. And I was crying on the couch the whole time. She quit the show. I know.
Starting point is 00:10:45 That's my point. Do we not remember New Orleans? She quit the show and didn't talk to anybody, then got mad that no one reached out to her. Like, what are we doing? Yep, exactly. But the big thing that's kind of surrounding this whole episode is Heather's actions and Tamara's the one that calls it out here, or Gina, one of the two, that Heather's actions are not the same as her words. And that is true in a lot of. of ways. That's something that we've seen over the years. But the fear of Heather Dubrow keeps people
Starting point is 00:11:19 from really checking her and pressing her. And when they do, she's really good at rebuting things, rebuking, rebutting, rebutting, rebutting, rebuttling. Rebuking. Rebuking. I rebuked. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. Somebody in the comments would call it stupid. We get more comments. Yeah, I know. We got one last week. We got what last week during the Valley when I was hammered. And I'm like, what do you want for me? Yeah, come on. Leave me alone. But anyway, that's something I do want to see highlighted this season.
Starting point is 00:11:49 The fact that we're referencing a few times is actually giving me some kind of hope that maybe this is going to be the year. Like you said in the intro, this might be the year where we kind of press Heather and see what she can do with it. But Ultimate Girls Trip, what? Did we miss an Ultimate Girls trip? No, it's the one that they're filming right now. Oh, they're currently filmed.
Starting point is 00:12:10 No, they're not currently filmed. They're done. It should be out at some point. They're wrapped in the fall or like early December. Yeah, they've been wrapped for a little while. Got it. That created so many weird scheduling conflicts for me because I know they were filming OC at the same time.
Starting point is 00:12:26 But I don't remember if Tamara was a main cast member there. I think Vicky. Oh, that's what it was. Vicki was. And then Vicki went there. And then a lot of the OC people made appearances. So Tamara was probably involved there. And that's when this whole story about her and Shannon came up.
Starting point is 00:12:42 So we'll have to watch it when Ultimate Girl's Trip comes out, it comes out. Who knows? They have a bad track record with those shows. But there was already a trailer for that. So it's definitely coming out. I'm just thinking about the other one that we'll never see, I guess. I don't know. Maybe one of the world ends, they'll release that and be like, hey, here you go.
Starting point is 00:12:58 It's deep in the Disney vault with everything else. Next to Walt's head. Yep, they have frozen. That's real, which is wild. But anyway, apparently at this Ultimate Girls trip, at the Quiet Woman, which everything seems to happen there. But apparently something went down where other people that were present were like, this is horrifying. I've never seen anything like this before.
Starting point is 00:13:20 And at some point, Tamara called Shannon a drunk again. And those two are back at it. So that's where they currently stand. And I don't know, I don't know if that makes me want to watch the Ultimate Girlstrip or not. Like you said, they kind of a bad track record. But that's where Shannon and Tamara currently stand. I mean, I'm excited about Ultimate Girl's Trip. There's a lot of people on that show.
Starting point is 00:13:40 so I think it's just going to be kind of funny to watch the random cameos that happen. I don't think, like, this will be one episode. You know what I mean? It'll be the O.C. episode. If any of the episodes come up that I might not want to watch. Oh, yes, the road trip thing. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Yeah, it's probably like the Potomac one where we go down and hang out with Ashley Darby. That doesn't sound very interesting to me. But yeah, I mean, they didn't end the last season on good terms. If I remember correctly in the, obviously in the reunion, they barely talked. But also at the very end, when they show the credits, they said to Shannon and Shannon was like, yeah, I don't really have any interest in being friends with Tamara right now. So it's not like they made up at the end of last season and then something happened and now they're back at odds.
Starting point is 00:14:19 They're just always at odds at this point. They're always going to be at odds. And I feel like it's a lot is Shannon understanding her self-worth and understanding that she doesn't want to be around Tamara. And it's Tamara just kind of playing to the show. I mean, we talk about it all the time. Her personality is so intertwined with creating all this drama for the show and not being a real person that she actually is that person now. So it's a very weird conundrum with her personality. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:43 We'll have to see how it plays out because I think it's one of those situations where they don't want to give us too much information because they want to keep it for the other show, which is bizarre. Yeah, I guess. But these kinds of lines are where I need Heather called out. And I need this to come back because she literally said this same exact line last year because let's not forget Tamara started therapy. Tamara seems lighter to me.
Starting point is 00:15:08 So I'm trusting her like verbatim last year you said that. And then you saw what I don't know what Tamara has on Heather. I don't know what that relationship is. It's so strange because with every other situation, Heather's got a pretty calm, cool head about her and she's able to like pragmatically read situations when it comes to Tamara. And she claims it's because of their special friendship or something. It just doesn't track.
Starting point is 00:15:33 We've been friends for 20 years and I just put her in a box where I don't really have to worry about that that's just Tamara Tamara is pretty much what it means I have no fucking clue I if I had to guess it's really just I really don't want to make an enemy out of Tamara because she can go scorched earth and if she starts bringing up things that I don't want people to bring up
Starting point is 00:15:51 I'm just going to be whatever so she's just kind of at this weird haphazard friendship with her like I'm not really going to call her out she's afraid of yeah it's afraid of what tamar can do less so afraid of Tamara directly but it's also with a hint of can't be bothered anytime that Tamara does something. Heather can't be bothered to really do anything or check her or even
Starting point is 00:16:11 really discuss her actions. And then we saw her get tripped up a couple of times last year where she was forced to talk about it. I mean, there's nothing you can do when you're in New Orleans and Tamara just storms out and she's clearly fucked up. And she said later that she took like a drug that she didn't need to take and she was drinking on it and blah, blah, blah, whatever. Heather was forced to talk about it. And that's when things happens. Once Heather started talking about it, the rest of the cast kind of perks up, oh, wait, Heather's talking about this too. Let's bring that to Tamara. That's kind of how the show is gone for like five years. What can we get someone else to say behind closed doors about Tamara, bring it to Tamara and
Starting point is 00:16:45 see it all blow up? It's so boring and stupid and I just can't deal with it anymore. But if it's Heather, that's a different situation. I'm okay with that because again, she says, yeah, I'm in my really easygoing type of my life. Like, I'm not really doing anything. I can't be bothered. I'm very happy. How can you do this to me? It's like, Heather, you haven't done a fucking thing in five years. What are you talking about? You couldn't be bothered for the last five years. It's not like anything's going to change. This is going to be a rude awakening if it goes how it shook.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Fingers crossed. I want her to be bothered. But we get a juxtapose scene. You get Vicki and Shannon at Andalais. Vicki being a like mainstay at this bar is so fucking funny to me. Like she walks in. People are saying, hey, Vicki. She's like, I even asked to buy in.
Starting point is 00:17:30 And the owner's like, fuck no. No shot. That's what I got from that. She's like, I put you on the map. It's like, yeah, maybe kind of. for like Bravo fans, but I don't know. I think if you put them on the map for anything else. It's a pretty touristy spot and it seems like a decent bar and a touristy spots.
Starting point is 00:17:46 We've been to Puerto Vallerta like seven times this year alone on different shows. Bravo definitely has a deal with their like, for sure, a tourism board. Like, we'll give you 20% off of everything if you bring your shows to Puerto Vier. Yeah. And then also like look the other way when people get too drunk and get to a fight. Yeah, exactly. Like, we won't throw them in jail.
Starting point is 00:18:07 That's the deal. But we get to meet Mike, who is Vicki's boyfriend, and they've been dating for like four or five years. They seem to really love each other. Like, I actually genuinely like him together. Super handsome guy. And he's like, kind of easygoing. It's the exact type of dude I would expect that would retire down in part of I art. Like, hey, man, I just kind of chill with Vicki.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Well, he's not retired because he had to go to work. And that's why he couldn't go to Valentine's Sweetheart party. So he probably does that little like, I work a couple days a week. I'm a consultant. I go do those types of things, which is great for Vicky. That's exactly what she needs. It seems like a super genuine relationship.
Starting point is 00:18:44 I feel like there's a famous last words, of course, for a show like this, especially with Vicki and the track record that she's had with her, her exes. So that's not really, I mean,
Starting point is 00:18:52 that's not her fault. It's not her fault. It's always the dude's fault. It's always the dude's fault. It is truly always the dude's fault. But at the same time, she has a bad track record. So I'm hoping for the best with Mike,
Starting point is 00:19:04 because I like Mike. Yeah, fingers crossed for all. old Mikey. But in this juxtapose scene, you get Jen and Emily talking as well. They catch up on the kids. But the big thing is again, Jen pushing this idea. Do you really think that Heather's friendship with Tamara is genuine? Do you think that they're legit or do you think that she's just putting on because we had this dinner at the end after the reunion last year? And Heather led the charge on talking shit about Tamara. So she's asking Emily, do you think it's genuine? Meanwhile,
Starting point is 00:19:36 Vicki and Shannon are just having a simple conversation of, are you going to be friends with Tamara again, Vicki? So interesting back and forth, but I want to focus on Jen and Emily because I think for this to go correctly, you're going to have to have a lot of people on board, or is it too many people, and then Tamara's going to be like,
Starting point is 00:20:01 you're ganging up on me, I'm not doing this. I'm just worried that they're going to blow their load. Yeah, I'm just worried they're going to blow their load too early. I think this needs to be a slow burn. I think you need to ease into this one if you really want to do it right. And I feel like they're going to be too excitable. I mean, they do it with Tamara.
Starting point is 00:20:18 They just kind of get like one piece of information about something she did or said or something that someone else said about Tamara. And they just go running right to her. I mean, we saw Gina do it like six times last year alone. So I have no hope for that. But like you said, if you do it the right way, could be interesting. I just have no faith in the cast. I mean, we know that. That's where we are.
Starting point is 00:20:38 I imagine that most people who watch this show are there. We're hoping for something a little different with Vicki thrown into the mix. I'm not going to say I expect anything from the newbies. But if you're going to go after someone like Heather, you've got to have all your ducks in a row because she's so easy to just like swat things away. She'll just go run away. Like she doesn't even live in OC. She'll go live somewhere else for a while, film different scenes with Terry and just not check back in with the rest of the cast. And it seems to be fine with Bravo.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Yeah. Yeah, it's going to be interesting. I don't know who is the nail in the coffin to really push Heather over the edge. That's the big question for me because she's going to bat everybody away. Like, shut up, whatever, I don't have time. Emily might be, and that's what's weird. I think that she is so inconsequential to Heather that if she presses that button after everyone else has been talking about it, that might be the person that we need, which I never thought I would be saying.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Well, I mean, we know how Emily's kids feel about Heather, right? Yeah. I hope that comes back. Oh, fuck. I actually don't. Yeah, I see what you just did? You see what you just did? You shut up.
Starting point is 00:21:46 I totally don't want. You shut your face. I imagine Katie's daughter's not watching her kids anymore. You know what? Honestly, knowing this crew, they're probably friends. They're probably friends again. And there's no issues at all. It was all just made for the show.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I don't know. Emily, yeah, I think she's, close enough. I do think it's really just what they're going to end up doing is Jen is going to be the mediator to send it over to Tamara. Tamara's going to go scorched earth or she won't and she'll just sit on it for a while, bring it up in the middle of the season.
Starting point is 00:22:17 I don't, again, I have no faith in this going the right way, but there's a couple different ways that you can get Heather and at least get activated. Like, I don't give a shit if she's like really involved. I just want her feet to the fire a little bit just to make her do something that we haven't seen her do in five years.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Yes. I think that that's the goal, right? We want to see a different Heather ideally is. Well, I guess more so, and I just kind of thought of this, if we have more of a Heather centric show where she's actually involved in things and you have Tamara, Vicky, and Shannon all involved, it takes away from the Gina and Emmys of the world. We don't have to spend as much time with them, which I will take. Even if the other shit is unbearable, I know what to expect from all of that. And I can somewhat be interested in kind of following along because they've been friends for so long. And this is the 20th season.
Starting point is 00:23:06 So it would make sense for the anniversary. But my big byproduct from all of that is stop letting us sit with Emily and Gina. I don't care what's going on in their lives. I truly don't. I think the one problem we may have in this whole master plan that we're cooking up in going after Heather is Emily's counterpart. Because she's talking, Emily is talking to Gina and giving her the rundown about what they've been talking about. Gino will never flip. And we see that at the end of this episode, like, that's not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:23:37 She's going to be holding on to Heather's pocket 24-7. Well, she's still scared from two years ago when Katie again brought up the fact that Gina was talking about Heather and then she got scared that Heather wasn't going to be friends with her anymore. So she won't flip. Nope. But I think that because of that she's going to get all the info and she very well may run to Heather and be like, hey, this is what they're saying about you.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Then she's going to be besties with Heather. And she's going to get all those listings. because it's all about real estate. That's true. That is very true. I mean, the gated group is doing really well. Doubling in every year. I'm just like, there's no sense in talking about that scene.
Starting point is 00:24:10 That's the only comment I'm going to make. Yeah, no, I don't want to talk about it either. And we kind of speed through a bunch of just check-ins. We're looking at everybody, you know, Emily and Annabelle. Then we get Grayson and Jen because Homeboy was doing 105, which is nuts. Did you see the update today? No. Jen put up, and it's probably him, I would imagine, because I kind of just did like,
Starting point is 00:24:31 a rule of exemptions here. But Jen posted on her story and I'll read it for you right now. I would like to clear up the rumblings of my son having involvement in the Ladera Ranch Fire. Oh, they went away. Maybe she deleted it. Up there.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Oh. He and others involved. He and others involved. My ex-husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we're deeply sorry to the community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family. We were so thankful there was no property damage
Starting point is 00:25:00 and nobody was hurt. The fire and police were absolutely amazing and gave these boys a lesson, blah, blah, blah, no arrests made, no consequences from them. But consequences for actions are being put in place. He'll be taking a fire safety course to make sure this never happens again. There are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident. So I think it was him because she went through her sons. The ones in the military, so I imagine he's not home.
Starting point is 00:25:24 The other one's got an engineering thing going on. It's probably not him. Singapore. It's not his. Seems like he's the golden child too. So I imagine it's this kid who was going 105 miles an hour in Orange County. He's starting fires in California. Like, do you know what that could do, Grayson?
Starting point is 00:25:43 You could have burned down half the state. What an asshole. Even in this scene too, we're like, it was playful. I mean, the kid was going one. If the kid was going like 80 on, you know, a 60 or something like he got a ticket. Sure. I have a nothing story. The way it was brought up,
Starting point is 00:26:00 it sounds like he was going 105 in like a residential area. Maybe have a bigger talking to. I mean, my kids would never drive again. Give me your keys. You're done. You guess, guess how much that ticket was.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I don't know, like five. Try 700. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. That's a big number. Mom, that's insane.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Okay. Good. That's good. That's good. Unbelievable. After reading that statement, I already know what's coming for him. Yeah, he's going to get a big old talking to.
Starting point is 00:26:30 And guess so? I'm going to take his iPad for one week. I was going to say Xbox. Yeah, because he seems like an Xbox guy. I'm going to take his Xbox away from him for like three days. He's not going to be able to play with the boys. That's rough. He's going to be devastated. He's going to learn.
Starting point is 00:26:42 I can't believe he started a fire in California. What a dickhead. We don't usually talk shit about the kids, but like I don't think he understands like what he could have done. Holy crap. Plus like a 16 year old kid. Like we know he's just like a little dickhead. Yeah, and like he's hiding behind the where the mom's like, oh, he's like he's the good one. I'm like, he's out there doing all sorts of shit.
Starting point is 00:27:04 And it's just, now he's getting caught. The good one is the good one is the engineer in Singapore. Yeah, he sounds like the goal. Yeah. Or maybe the kid who's in the military. Yeah, who's going to serve this country. Like maybe a sack guy. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Oh, boy. That's that's a tough look for old Grayson. Yeah, he's going to learn. The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to. cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time,
Starting point is 00:27:49 and when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. Starting point is 00:31:35 know and listen to an episode right now, something you should know. Let's just take a quick little ad break right here and we'll get back to the rest of the OC action. But anyway, we get back to Vicky. I love checking in with Vicky. It just, like, I do really enjoy her on the screen and like watching her in Mexico, like literally stuck in Mexico because she has to get a residency card, doesn't have a residency card. So she's like, I'm probably just like going to stay here for another month so I can get out.
Starting point is 00:32:02 That's literally all this scene is. and I could have watched it for 30 more minutes. Because it's just funny, watching her rationalize and figure out what she can do and can't do. And she's like, well, I, maybe I'll make it to that sweetheart Valentine's Day party. Maybe I won't. If I leave, I have to get clearance to leave and come back and maybe I can't come back. I mean, I think her brother's down there and he lives in Puerto Bia with her. Like the whole, oh yeah, Billy was there.
Starting point is 00:32:30 The brother was kind of strange. So I don't know exactly what's going on there, but I agree with you. could watch that for another hour. That could have been the entire episode is just, hey, Vicki, what's been going on? Let's talk about you. You're the longest 10, well, maybe not the longest 10-year-d housewife anymore.
Starting point is 00:32:42 I think Tamara has that or Kyle may not have that. But yeah, let's just check in with you for a full hour. Give me that for 54 minutes. I would love that. Now, Gina and Travis have a scene. And then we get to Heather and her mom. I do want to comment on one thing. They also have a scene.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Yeah, well, that was kind of funny. But the Gina conversation. I don't want to go over the whole scene. But just the name change thing. I don't care if people change their name. I have no dog in this fight. If you get married and you want to keep your last name, by all means, you keep your last name. And I understand what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Like, I want to have the same last name as my children. Okay, sure. But you're marrying another man and your last name is your ex-husbands. Where do you land on this one? Bill Maiden name. anything. That's what I would think. Yeah. Right. Like, just because you have the same last name doesn't mean you aren't a family unit. Right. I just feel like it's kind of weird if you have your ex-husband's last name and you're
Starting point is 00:33:44 married to a new guy. Yeah. I mean, I feel like that would be the logical jump if you're going to do anything. You would go from your ex-husband's name to your new husband's name immediately as soon as you marry. But the debate, I don't know. It's just kind of bizarre. I mean, you kind of leave it up the kids too. Yeah, I may have a conversation with them. I understand keeping his last name after she got divorced
Starting point is 00:34:07 because her kids are named that. That makes total sense to me. But once you marry another dude, I don't know. I'd be curious what our audience thinks about this because I don't know. It's interesting. This is going to sound mean.
Starting point is 00:34:21 I'm not curious what our audience thinks because it's just so stupid. This is what I'm talking about with Emily. This is what Jita does. You check in with them and it's just the most inconsequential bullshit. And they think it's a storyline. Like, oh, maybe I'll just try this up. We're going to talk about me and Travis being engaged.
Starting point is 00:34:39 And, you know, just living in the moment, being engaged for a while. It's like, we just spent like three years talking about Travis's ex stalking him and you, allegedly and doing weird shit allegedly. This is nothing. I don't care. You don't have to talk about this. We can just blow past you. No.
Starting point is 00:34:56 And it's funny because they're a California counterpart that's also. also usually a bad show. One of their cast members made the whole season about her name. It didn't have a great season. So, I don't know, maybe don't do that. Anybody on that show have a great season? No, nobody did. I'm just saying using the surname name debacle wasn't a win for Sutton by any means.
Starting point is 00:35:21 But, yeah. Heather has a scene with her mom. They flew her out. Mom is refusing to take any sort of accountability whatsoever. however for not being present in Heather's kids' lives or grandchildren. She's coming up with every excuse in the book. Your dad had work. He was retired.
Starting point is 00:35:37 You have a life. You have a life. I don't want to infringe on your life. Like, come on. You were just not present, mom. Yeah. And like, you can just say that. Like, a little accountability from, from you would probably go a whole long way.
Starting point is 00:35:51 And now we're going to have to do this for the rest of the season because Heather's going to now try to get to a place with you where you can say, I wish I was here more. Thanks, mom. Yeah. Yeah. We've seen mothers especially. It's been a weird run for the last couple of years, mothers of housewives. Yeah. They just don't seem to get it. I mean, it definitely doesn't help your case when you say, yeah, we split your father's ashes up into three urns. You took one, right? Yeah, where's the third one? Well, you took that one to Amsterdam, I believe, right? Yeah, yeah, I know. Where's the third one? Ah, it's, it's around. It's somewhere. You lost dad's ashes. No. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:36:30 didn't prove it. You did. Yeah, exactly. That's what the vibe was like. I gave you two doses of your father and you took it to Amsterdam. The fact that she tried to sidestep with Adam Sandler was a wild move. Well, Adam Sandler is. I'm not worried about it.
Starting point is 00:36:46 I'm not worried about where your father is. I'm talking about Adam Sandler right now. Okay. She's literally says to her like, that has nothing to do with. She's like, yes, it does. He pulled up in a camper. Everything to do with everything. By the way.
Starting point is 00:37:00 didn't come to the Dubrow's household or Heather's parents household. He just was in the Hamptons. Yeah. You could do that with a lot of people. You could say that about a lot of people in the Hamptons. Like, oh, yeah. Carl Rocky in the Hamptons. Yeah, Carl was there.
Starting point is 00:37:15 They didn't see him, but he's there. I know he was there. Oh, boy. Well, we get a lot of jumping around until we get to the parties. We'll just jump to the party. I do think it's hysterical, comical, so fucking funny that Shannon is shooting herself in the ass with hormones. But she's concerned about grape seed oil.
Starting point is 00:37:35 And I know, oh, the fucking seed oil people. Yep. That there's peer-reviewed studies, everyone, go a long way. Because seed oils in moderation are actually good because they contain omega-6s and a lot of beneficial fats. Not if you drink canola oil, but if you use it in moderation, it's actually good for you. I don't know. There was like a 110 year old woman in Italy that swore that she just drank like a shot of oil.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Yeah. I thought it was canola oil. Oh, was it canola oil? Well, that's kind of like the point. There's another woman that just says like a cigarette a day will keep the doctor away. Yeah, I think it's all genetics. But yeah, the seed oil crowd is so misinformed. And they drive me up a wall.
Starting point is 00:38:21 And because I have a cooking account and I have to read that shit all the time. I was like, oh, my God. Ah, you're using vegetable oil? Yeah. I fucking am. Like grow up. It's cheap. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:38:34 we get to meet Carmen. Just know if you, if you follow Steels cooking page, he really does read every single fucking comment. You can't stop them. That was his outlet. He stopped doing it on our page, but he goes there and he just does that and reads every single comment.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I don't respond anymore if it makes you feel any better, but I do read them. Unless you, if you do something like that where you're misinforming people, I will respond because I don't want you doing that. Plus, it drives me crazy when you get the seed oil crowd because they're like, why aren't you using this or that?
Starting point is 00:39:04 It's like, dude, my cooking is to show people how to make good food without spending a ton of money. Do you really think like a single mom of four is going to be like, oh, I can't use can't use canola oil. That's $3 a bottle. I have to use this $30 bottle of organic olive oil. Like, fuck, no, it's stupid. And you're making them feel bad because you want to beat on your chest and be like,
Starting point is 00:39:23 I read a Wikipedia article and saw some asshole in the grocery store without his shirt on yelling at his phone. saying these are bad. Oh, dude, I could go for hours on this. Is that like, yeah, but do you actually respond with information or do you just respond and say, no, hard hands. I do a lot that a lot.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Yeah, yeah. I think the hard hands are funny. They make me laugh a lot. But I will try to inform and then inevitably every time I get a response from me trying to inform somebody, they don't read what I said. They're not doing any research. They're just going off of what they feel. And then
Starting point is 00:39:56 it's worthless. But anyway, yeah, the If you get heart hands for me, I'm being sarcastic. You guys can read? Apparently not. But we get to meet Carmela. You finally got your housewife from Cleveland. So that's exciting. I guess in a way.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah. She might be a way to bridge the gap a little bit. If she has a good performance, I will be going for the Cleveland thing once again by the end of the season. I don't know how I feel about her. What are your first instincts on Carmela showing up? Because I kind of went into it in the beginning, but I want to hear what you have to say about it.
Starting point is 00:40:27 I like her. I think that, you know, it's interesting to throw her into this group. And especially if Jen has a close friend in the group, that's not part of the group. I think that's beneficial because we're trying to see Jen kind of come into her own and stand up to some of these other ladies, primarily Heather. And if she has support with one of her friends, I think we have a better chance at that. As far as Carmela goes, it's kind of what you said. as long as, and like, I think the playmate and like, Playboy mentioned stories are going to be funny. And like, I am interested.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I think that's a really interesting backstory. That's a very easy default because it's so like, oh, you were a playmate. Like she could always kind of go back to that. And I'm afraid she's going to be one note. That would be my only hesitation. But I think first impressions, I'm like, okay, especially when, you know, they're like, she's the queen of this. She's like, I'm not bowing down to anybody.
Starting point is 00:41:21 I was like, I like that. Actually, I don't like that. I think that, yeah, I don't know. I think she's going to do a lot of that where she's very nice in person and then goes to her confessional and says what she really thinks. She'll kind of figure it out along the way. I worry about the playmate thing for a different reason because we know how this group operates. The second that she does something or Jen does something, it's low hanging fruit. And it's going to be just like, in a weird way, misogynistic.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Like anti-feminist, but it's going to be coming from Tamara, who is like anti-feminist for whatever reason. that's probably going to happen at some point. I just want to see when that gets tested out because you know that somebody's going to test the water somewhere along the way in the last, in the next couple of episodes, I want to see her reaction to that because I'm sure she's probably used to it.
Starting point is 00:42:07 She's probably had to hear it from a bunch of different people. So hopefully she's like well versed and being able to kind of combat that. I'm sure she is. Yeah, those are those two things would be my only hangups, but I'm optimistic. I think she's going to fit in actually. And I do, again, my biggest thing is that
Starting point is 00:42:23 Jen has an ally. That's not somebody else in this group. And I think for us to get what we want out of this season, I think that was important. Yeah, I agree with that. Let's get to the party. And, you know, Tamara's given Emily prop. She looks great. She's been working hard in the offseason.
Starting point is 00:42:39 So props to Emily, just because we don't like her, doesn't mean we can't give her some, some cadoos for working hard. But the big question now, and I know this is going to become a thing, and it could have just been a fun one-off comment. But knowing this group. This is going to turn into a full-blown, knockdown, drag-out argument of will Gina get married before Jen? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I don't know. Probably. It's funny, too, because I thought you were going to say something else. I thought you were referring to Vicky talking about Heather's inheritance, quote-unquote. Oh, that too. That's another thing that could be tracked on for a long time. But I feel a lot better about that one because Vicki's at the helm. This is, you're totally right.
Starting point is 00:43:19 You're 100% right. It's going to be the entire season because we're going to be talking. about this. We're going to be talking about when are Gina and Travis going to get married. Oh, yeah, Jen and Ryan still aren't married. Let's talk more about that. We did that last year. We did it the year before. Do we really want to do that? I mean, we had a scene. Brian was in that scene. He didn't say a word. Seems like every year he says less and less, which actually bodes well for him. It's good. Just maybe don't get involved and maybe Jen is a little bit better and maybe tougher skins when it comes to all of that. So it might just kind of deflect off and we can move on.
Starting point is 00:43:50 That's my hope anyway. But you're right. They're going to try for that one. And I can't imagine anybody's interested in that sort of argument. Now, on to the next thing, you said, this inheritance thing could easily be one of those as well. It's weird because this gave me hope a little bit, which is funny for, again, not the take down of Heather. I don't want to see her taken down. I just want to see her checked and pressed. But to get rattled over that gives me some hope because what Vicki actually said was, I don't resent anything they have built, done, or inherited.
Starting point is 00:44:30 So she just referenced that part of your nest egg is inheritance. And if you're going to sit there and tell me that you guys didn't inherit anything, you're lying. You're fucking lying. You live in, like, I'm not saying that Terry doesn't do incredibly well. And I'm not saying that you can't afford this luxurious lifestyle without inheritance. But when you are talking 40 plus million dollar homes, and like all of that crazy shit,
Starting point is 00:44:56 you inherited something and that's okay. It's not taken away from what you built. Terry's like one of the most renowned plastic surgeons in LA. Like, of course you guys are loaded. It's not taken away. But for her to get stuck on one part of that and flip it into, Vicki said that we made all of our money from inheritance. Like that's not what she said.
Starting point is 00:45:15 You're rattled already. That gives me some hope. No, but this is Heather's M.O. I mean, she sees something here, something in the offseason or in the first. first episode, second episode, hangs on to it for a little while and that's how she excuses himself. Now, I think she's going to have a lot tougher sledding when it comes to Vicky because Vicky
Starting point is 00:45:33 stands her ground. She doesn't give a shit. You go over to Vicky and you think it's going to go one way because this is who you've been dealing with. Vicki is not Katie Janella, liked Katie, but she's not Vicki. Vicki immediately backs up to it. She's like, I don't, what do you talk? I don't give a shit about that.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Like I just said you maybe inherited something from who, from who, Vicki? Terry's brother or something. Like, maybe. our parents are still alive. Your mom's alive. Your dad passed and that could easily, dad could have had a trust set up. But Heather getting hard pressed to be able to go after Vicky for this
Starting point is 00:46:06 was very funny because it shows me, Heather knows that she's been getting away with this for a while and we've seen it over the last couple of years. But when you go against Vicky, you kind of get a little stumbling. Maybe that's not going to bode well for you. So again, this is something that we could be talking about for episode after episode.
Starting point is 00:46:22 maybe Heather goes to her confessional maybe Heather's sitting down with Tamara after all of this trying to squash it and then she goes you believe that vicky said this it's going to blow over because it's vicky and that's the one thing that she brings to the show that's very very very important is that we shouldn't be able to get hung up on things that are involving vicky other shit we're still going to get hung up for episode after episode it was a joy and a delight though to hear it's just like such a vicky thing like don't yell at me i was like oh she's back like she's so back but anyway the main discussion around the party, we bop back and forth from conversations, but Jen and Gina are talking, and this is my point with Gina, because she's trying to see how Gina feels about Heather and Tamara's friendship. Do you think that it's genuine?
Starting point is 00:47:10 And she says, as someone that cares about Heather, being a good friend is pushing her out of her comfort zone. So we need to kind of press this a little bit and see what she thinks. Gina is just not going to have it. And that's where I get nervous that she's going to blow this whole thing up because she's terrified of Heather. But we do have enough support.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Like when we go through the party and we're talking kind of everybody, you know, Emily's somewhat on board. She recognizes it. Shannon obviously on board because she's been seeing it for years and she hates Tamara and her walking by Tamara and just literally not moving and acknowledging her. And then going to a confession, be like, am I avoiding Tamara intentionally? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:50 no shit, Shannon. But the thing that pissed me off is Gina's trying to say, because you get the whole group kind of together. And she's like, well, Heather tells her. She just doesn't receive it. I'm like, Heather doesn't do shit. She'll press her a little bit or bring something up. And the minute the Tamara, like loses her shit, she squashes it.
Starting point is 00:48:13 We saw it last year at the restaurant. Heather did check her. Like, hey, I think like she didn't show up for Heather, right? I think something happened with Heather's parents last year. I don't remember exactly what it was. Something happened and Tamara was MIA. Yeah. And Heather questioned her about it.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Tamara being Tamara started crying, playing the victim left, and then Heather smooth things over with her. That's what we're used to. So Gina saying this, what you're doing is emboldening Heather because Heather's standing like, exactly. I tell everybody what I think.
Starting point is 00:48:48 I told you. Tamara yesterday how I felt about one thing. And like Jen says, they're confessional. It's like, just because you told Tamara one thing one time does not mean that you hold her accountable. But I like that Jen kind of has a fire lit under her ass because she's
Starting point is 00:49:03 forcing this narrative. She's pushing it through to the point that she says it to Heather. Hey, just to let you know, or sorry, she says it to Tamara about Heather. Just like, hey, just to let you know, Heather yesterday said about your friendship that she puts you in a box to deal with you.
Starting point is 00:49:19 So there you go. Yeah. That was a good move. It's a good move and it's something that we see all the time. She's twisting words a little bit, very, very minimally, but definitely twisting words. It's misinterpreted a bit. But Jen knows exactly what she's doing. She knows what Tamara's going to do.
Starting point is 00:49:34 And we've seen it time and time again for whatever reason. Heather is Tamara's vulnerable spot. Like that's when she doesn't start screaming and ranting and raving and running away. She just walks away quietly. She always excuses herself from situations when Heather's involved. So that might be the one little chink in the armor that maybe Jen's going after. Like let's just get in there and use Heather against Tamara. Maybe it'll force some sort of issue.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Maybe it'll force a conversation that we haven't had. Maybe real change could actually take effect if she's still going to therapy. She hasn't talked about it yet. So I don't know. Heather's talked about it on her behalf, but whatever. But yeah, I'm very less concerned about Gina because we know where Gina is and she's just a non-factor. I don't give a shit if Gina's on board.
Starting point is 00:50:14 She's going to go huddle up with Heather. She's going to try to bring the two of them together. It's not going to work. but if we can get a couple more people on board and I think Vicky and Shannon are going to be important Shannon might be in that position where she just doesn't want to deal with Tamara at all so she's not going to work if Shannon's really involved I think it derail's too fast.
Starting point is 00:50:31 It does because again she's very very vulnerable to Tamara. Like you kind of have to keep Shannon out of it, maybe bring Vicky in a little bit, but Vicki could come to Tamara's defense. So I think right now where you are, if you get somebody like Emily on board and Jen kind of has a hard on for going after Tamara, this is probably the way to do.
Starting point is 00:50:48 it keep it close it's going to spill out to the rest of the group but if they don't really want to get involved you can keep going after her you can keep going after heather and see what happens she's not going to be able to run away from this one exactly that's what i'm looking forward to and let me reiterate i like heather actually when she shows up to work she doesn't do shit she doesn't do it she shows up for work when does she ever show up for work very rarely is my point i'm saying but you know she's still an enjoyable character on the screen it's just time that we push the buttons a little bit, see what she's going to do. She's probably going to pull up anchor and go to Beverly Hills.
Starting point is 00:51:22 But well, we said that last year. At the end of the season last year, I do recall us saying if Heather's coming back, because there's always that question mark and she always leaves the door a little open when she's taking interviews, she was sitting on Jeff Lewis and Jeff just asked her point blanker, are you going to go to Beverly Hills? She's like, I don't know. I would definitely be on the Beverly Hills cast, but I think I'm going to stay in OC. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do is something along those lines.
Starting point is 00:51:45 But we said at the end of our season, just doing a debrief, we were probably ranting for about an hour and a half and didn't even talk about the reunion. But we said if she's going to come back and we didn't even know Vicky was coming back at that point, we're going to have to press her. Someone is going to have to press her. We didn't know if it was going to be Jen,
Starting point is 00:52:01 but Jen started doing a couple of things at the end of the season. We thought maybe Tamara would turn on her just to make a story for the show. Whatever it was, we have to get her involved because if we have another dud season from Heather, because she feels like she can just kind of like coast through the whole season, which she does every year. that's going to be boring and it's going to be bad for the show. So we need at least something different.
Starting point is 00:52:19 This would be something different. So I'm okay. I'm not even going to really dig too far into Jen's tactics because at least she's trying. And that's different than what we've seen in the past. I agree. And I think that's kind of what we need. And then it's funny, you know, to watch Gina at the end. She's like, oh, Jen's stepping in shit right now.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Instead of taking a moment to step back, she's stepping two feet and shit. No, she is. And knows what she's doing. Yeah. And she's showing up to work and she's doing her job and she's pressing Heather and she's bringing up things that aren't discussed. You're just so afraid of Heather that you're like, oh, God, don't do that. Don't call her out. You're going to be a trouble.
Starting point is 00:52:59 Heather's not going to like you. Well, Jen's still making comments about, or I'm sorry, Gina's making comments about Jen. We saw that on the ride over when they were talking about Carmela. Oh, I heard she's a real estate agent. Oh, good. Jen needs one of those because I'll never do that again. It's like, okay, so you're still doing that. All right.
Starting point is 00:53:15 So I think very, very little of Gina when it comes to all of this. She is a non-factor. I just want to see how Heather, Tamara, Jen are going to handle it and see if anybody else
Starting point is 00:53:24 that's a bit of a heavy hitter is going to get involved. But I see you looking at your phone right now. We don't have questions because we actually got a screener, guys. I knew that.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Actually, as soon as I opened it up and saw the valley ones, I was like, oh, yeah, we don't have questions because we watched the episode a day early.
Starting point is 00:53:39 We had the screener for a month. We actually got a second to email. like a week ago just kind of reiterating that we had screeners. And I was like, I know it's in there. We get the first episode of the season. Stop yelling at us. You want to yell at us? Send us another one.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Send us another one a couple of days early. If you want us to watch it sooner, then send us more. And then we will. But we know it's only going to be watching. Come on. The love of God, we're not going to spill anything. Oh my God. I would.
Starting point is 00:54:07 No. But if they gave us the whole season, I probably would unintentionally, because I would just talk myself into watching the entire season in like two days to get a just get away from it move on maybe take notes but i think i would probably bring things up from different episodes so don't give us the whole season just give us an episode a couple days before that would be great that would be lovely that we can mess our schedule or mess around with our schedule but yeah uh look i'm not going to say i'm optimistic not going to say i'm pessimistic i'm mystic i'm mystic river mystic that's a good i'm mystic river that's a
Starting point is 00:54:44 great movie. Yeah, Sean Penn. Who else is in that? I think I'm mixing it up with something else right now. Mystic River, the one where his daughter is murdered in the park. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:00 And then Sean Penn is like, you know, that edgy Boston guy that's like, oh, you know, he seems like a good dude, but he actually runs the city. Yeah. Who is in that? Sean Penn, not going to look. I'm thinking of the people. What's the pizza one. Is it Emmy Rossum? Mystic River.
Starting point is 00:55:21 I am. Oh, fucking cast, please. Yeah, Emmy Rossum. Wow, good call by me. Kevin Bacon, Tim Robbins. Yeah, solid cast. Lawrence Fishburn, Laura Linney, Marsha Gay Hardin. Yeah, solid cast. If you haven't seen Mystic River, go ahead and watch that. It's fantastic. There's a plug for Mystic River. I was also thinking about Mystic Pizza, the Julia Roberts movie from the 80s. That's a great movie too. Yeah, I know, but like, that's where my,
Starting point is 00:55:52 when we were talking about the cast, I was like, was Julie Roberts and that? I don't want to sound stupid. It was, no, different movie. Completely different movie. Started thinking about licorice pizza too. That was another one, but yeah, now, now I'm in a hole.
Starting point is 00:56:04 So now we're going off the rails. Why don't we just wrap it up? Let's wrap it up. That's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. Well, that's our show. Rob Bros are out of here.
Starting point is 00:56:14 The tutors were probably the most scandalous dynasty in British history. The season on vulgar history were spilling the tea on this messy, messed up family and the people who had to live through it all. Anne Boleyn and the other wives of Henry VIII are known today from the musical Six, but who were they really? Did any of them actually want to marry him? Henry the 8, the man who was literally the worst? How did two of them manage to escape with their heads intact?
Starting point is 00:56:38 We'll also get into historical mysteries, like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays? Who was the real bloody Mary? and what was happening elsewhere in the world while the Tudors were trampling all over England, like the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke Colony and the true story of the girl known as Pocahontas. I'll be joined by tutor historians, experts, and a few of my friends who really hate Henry the 8th to learn all about the Tudors this season on Vulgar History. Because it's fucking Henry the 8th all day, every day.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Listen to Vulgar History wherever you get podcasts. Hi, I'm Whitney, and I'm Katie. And we're the hosts of True Crime Campfire. We set out to make a true crime podcast we'd want to listen to. We get right to the story. We don't do a lot of extra talk in, and when we do, it's usually to roast the short hairs off of some loser, murderer, or scammer. You'll laugh, but only at the people who deserve it.
Starting point is 00:57:31 Like, which serial killer would you most like to shove into a locker? BTK and is awful poetry. Dude got caught because he didn't understand what a floppy disk was. We look for the stranger than fiction stories, like the case of Patty James, a killer catfish before the internet. was even a thing. Or Howard Walmsley, a sentient wad of damp laundry who convinced his town he'd won the lottery, fleeced local businesses out of thousands, and then became a romance scammer. We've covered tons of cases you've never heard of, cults, scammers, killers. So come find your
