What's up Bros? We are back with Momtok for episode 2. This show is amazing. The drama is non-stop and the cast is crushing it this season. In this episode, Taylor's family has a bbq where they try to... convince her to stay with Dakota, the man who has screwed her over time and time again. It was brutal to watch. Zac sits down with Jessi and Demi to try and clear the air, but they end up unearthing some lies that Jen has been telling both parties. They all get ready for the big halloween party, but Jessi and Demi have a special surprise... They flew in a Chippendales dancer to teach their husbands the ropes and perform for the party. At the party, things escalate quickly when Chase starts going in on TFP with Dakota listening to the whole interaction. Things are about to get messy in MomTok. Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 With Amex Platinum, you have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide. So your experience before takeoff is a taste of what's to come. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is an eight-episode Hulu Original Limited series that blends gripping pacing with emotional complexity, offering a dramatized look as it revisits the wrongful conviction of Amanda Knox. the tragic murder of Meredith Kircher and the relentless media storm that followed.
Starting point is 00:00:35 The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is now streaming only on Disney Plus. So Mom Talk survived still to get us to episode two, so that's good news. Yep, that's definitely good news. This whole show just kind of feels like a fever dream for me. I know, in the best way. I got to have me on my pros and shows. Good afternoon, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of pros and shows.
Starting point is 00:01:09 I'm your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only, Elder Goots. What's up, pal? Good to be back. Good to be back with the congregation. I hope everybody's got their dirty sodas, ready to go. No caffeine today for anybody. Steele looks like you didn't have any caffeine today. You look a little groggy.
Starting point is 00:01:27 I've had a lot of caffeine. I have also had a sick eight-month-old for a week. So I'm in shambles, everybody. She's a trooper, and she is on the mend. We're trending in the right direction. But it's been a long week. And, yeah, I don't have a whole lot else to say. I'm very tired.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Save for the pod. I'm going to try. But, you know, I tell, we tell you guys all the time when we record, like, episode two of the day that it gets a little wacky. I can't tell you what's going to happen today. I, I, I, I'm a shell of my former self. It's going to be interesting. Yeah, it's going to be very interesting for a show like this. The jabs in the shade that they throw at each other,
Starting point is 00:02:14 they always go for the jugular and they don't tiptoe around things. Like, when we get to the end of this episode and into the episode three, like the Chippendales thing. Like, yeah, that's so fucking mean. It is. And it's not like we're Zach fans, but it's like, all right, you know, we're rooting for you guys. Are you rooting for them?
Starting point is 00:02:36 Like, that's what I'm saying. You're going to test him with his low, you know, if you want to believe it's his lowest moment and all the things and we'll get into the whole casino and all of that, all the shenan that came around there. But it's so funny when they started setting it up and they're talking about the Chippendell's dance. Like they did it under the guys of, we're really going to test Zach tonight. We're really going to see if he's cool with this.
Starting point is 00:02:56 And we're going to show him, she's going to have to get to. a lap pants right in front of him. That's what we'll know if he's being serious. It's like, what the fuck? What a giant leap. I know. And like, you know that their marriage is on the ropes right now. And they're trying to figure this out. There's kids involved. And like, you know, it would be a really good test. If you remember the thing that they almost got divorced over?
Starting point is 00:03:16 Let's do that again. A huge trigger in their fucking marriage. Yeah. What we're actually going to do is. I don't think you can actually legally gamble in Utah. I was going to say they should have rolled out like a roulette table, like one of those legal gambling things like you can do off-site like do you mean like when people do casino nights for like charities and you have yeah fake money and stuff yeah yeah you get the fake money i feel like the mormons in utah in general would probably draw a line somewhere in there but yeah let's just bring it
Starting point is 00:03:42 all out let's just bring up all of the worst things that could have happened to their marriage we'll see if they're good i want to see if this foundation is solid meanwhile it's like Zach just came back last week they've been separated they're working on it it's been a week and you're like a week's long enough to test them let's throw a test out there and see what happens it's funny it's it's that's the ridiculous stuff i know but like meanwhile demi who was on vanderpump villa in that crossover had already said things alluding to her marriage not being awesome and then later this season you'll see it like in the scenes from next week or whatever scenes from next episode there's apparently a rumor out there that brett's cheating on her so it's
Starting point is 00:04:23 like yeah the one thing you can count on though is the retaliation will be in the same ballpark as what they did because they don't do anything half ass i appreciate like the lengths they go to it's just when you look at it from a non fever dream aspect like real life it's like this is one of the most fucked up things you guys could do is the chip it's so funny too because it's actually it makes sense the whole will mom talk survive the and they talked about it like all of season one and now it's more like how do I get back into mom talk we've got two that is the theme of season two is that's the theme of season two yeah so the first one is will it survive and yes it will survive because it's making so much money which I think is
Starting point is 00:05:09 also very funny but they're making so much money hand over fist that it's like yeah it's going to survive you can do all of the deplorable shit that you want to people who have quote unquote wronged you and they'll still be your friend because they need to be close by so that they can milk this for all that it's got so no matter what mom talk will survive now it's a matter of am i on the outs shit how do i get back to get back in i love it though like they should take advantage of it make as much fucking money off this as you possibly can that's the world that we live in now so if they can keep exploiting this mom talk thing yeah and be millionaires i'm all for it but let's jump into this episode episode two
Starting point is 00:05:48 of season two and we start out with uh with the conversation at Miranda's house wrapping up, and she's talking about why she left mom talk, why she had the reaction that she did, and she's blaming it mostly on her marriage, not so much the swinging part, but that she had to focus on her marriage once everything came out. She denied all the rumors. And obviously, some of the ladies in the group are questioning motives here, which I don't know why you have to question it. You know, you know why she's coming back into the fold. That's what like Michaela said last week. And that's where Michaela ends up. being the voice of reason when she goes to her confessionals and the chaos has a strong season she's
Starting point is 00:06:27 having a great season she really figured out what what the uh the thing that she needs to do what her path has to be for this show she's she's really blossoming it's nice but yeah everybody knows why miranda's trying to get back in of course we just talked to sweet money i love i i just that's why i love like the confused confessionals because like obviously they have to do this but it's just so funny because everybody knows why miranda wants to get back in you don't have to go to a confessional and start questioning it. You know, I'm not really sure what her motives are here. Oh, cash money.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Come on. Cash money. I, the more that I see her on the screen, though, the more I do think that a big part of this does have to do with Taylor and their friendship, because especially in the next episode, you really see that this fucked them both up and they were really tight. But the best part is, as Miranda's talking, the first person to really chime in is Whitney. And she goes, I believe you. It's like, yeah, of course you do.
Starting point is 00:07:22 You don't have friends either. You're on the same boat as her. So it's weird. The Whitney, like, aspect of this whole show of the friendship, of the friend group of mom talk is very interesting because you'll have a lot of people that are going to point to, you know, her wrongdoings last year, being a villain in the first season, you know, leaving mom talk, all of these things. But deep down, it seems like, I don't even know if I can say that they really like Whitney, but it's, they have respect for Whitney in a weird way. I think they had respect for Whitney. Yeah, but like it comes back so quickly. I feel like she can win them over very quickly, which is very funny.
Starting point is 00:07:58 But in this scene, it's just incredible because we already had a scene with Miranda and Whitney talking. And it's like, I know what you guys are doing. You guys are going to team up to get in. And I'm still waiting for one of you to burn the other. I don't know if that's going to happen because once they get in, you can kind of branch out. But Whitney being the one to speak up, I believe her. Let's give her a chance. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:08:16 You're not even in there. Shut up, Whitney. Yeah, you barely got invited. Exactly. Miranda, exactly. So shush, you stay over there and shush. But we get more of the dynamics of everything, which was interesting because obviously Taylor felt abandoned by Miranda, but she starts talking about her friendship with Miranda in regards to swinging. So her husband Chase had said to Taylor at the gym that, or no, sorry, vice versa. Taylor went up to him at the gym and said, hey, I had a sex stream about you. And then he said, something along the lines of I love you because that was the big I guess speed bump the first thing one of the things that threw all this into haywire was the fact that he caught feelings for Taylor yeah and that's I love Taylor's so great in this show but when she says things
Starting point is 00:09:12 it's so funny because she believes so wholeheartedly that she's right in this moment and I'm like he went over to another guy a married guy that you've been swinging with now we'll get to the swinger stop later when we get more information in the next episode but you did have a weird quasi group relationship with the guy and he told him that you had a sex dream about him and you guys weren't having sex and his response was yeah i've got feelings for you too more or less it seems kind of reasonable actually and it's a fucked up situation but you did breach some sort of you talk to him about it you open the door i guess Like, you didn't have to open the door.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Like, I do get where she's coming from in regards to, like, look, we're already doing all this quasi sex stuff. This is just another thing that we can add to it. So I get it. But at the same time, it's like you did step over that line ever so slightly. And sure, he's a psycho and I'm not defending chase by any means. No, no, not at all. But it's just interesting. But it's hard to really judge any of it because it's also wacky.
Starting point is 00:10:16 It's like, what scenario can I compare this to to make it like, yes. If I'm thinking, if my, if my base is what the craziness that you guys are doing, then yes, I am on your side, Taylor. That's not that crazy at all to tell another guy that you had a sex dream about him. But we're looking at it from the real world. You go to another guy and you say, hey, I had a sex dream about you. And his response is, yeah, I kind of feel it too. That's normal. I wonder what he actually.
Starting point is 00:10:42 You open the door. I have no idea because we don't really get that at the Halloween party. either. I was so pissed off that we didn't get it. I was like, what the hell? Like, just say it, Chase. It has to be bad because he was chasing. Also, say it Taylor. Taylor said it in the party and then she goes to her confess. And she's like, I could say so many things.
Starting point is 00:10:58 It's like, say it. You haven't had a filter so far. Yeah, please say it because now I don't know what happened. And I really want to know what he said. Yeah. But Miranda, her biggest thing with the Chase stuff isn't even so much that, you know, it transpired. It's more so that Taylor didn't tell her. She's like, you know, you're my best. best friend I had a right to know that and I agree with that but I agree with the other you can see
Starting point is 00:11:22 Taylor is quickly starting to not hold a grudge like she wants this friendship back and she goes to her confessional she's like all these ladies forget I was a villain for a long time too so I'm empathetic like I understand even towards Whitney and I was like wow this is a new Taylor Frankie Paul because she's feeling bad for multiple women in the room so we are seeing a new side to her which is great. We love growth on these shows. But at the end of this whole thing, Jesse's just pissed because she didn't get the tea.
Starting point is 00:11:54 It's like the whole point of this was so I could learn what happened as far as the swinging goes. And we got nothing, zero. Yeah, you could tell pretty early on that Taylor wasn't going to open up and say anything. She wanted Miranda to say it at the end of the day. I think she just wants Miranda to take accountability, finally admit, hey, this is what happened.
Starting point is 00:12:10 And I love that Taylor's taking that stance like, hey, you left me out on an island to deal with this. It's like, Taylor, you went to TikTok and told everybody that swinging scandal. Sure. And you blew it up. And by the way, I think we said this either last episode or maybe even last year, marketing genius, Taylor,
Starting point is 00:12:28 Frankie Paul. Oh, yeah. That is insane. Mom talk was already big in multiple communities. Once you start talking about a swinging scandal with Mormons, you guys blew up to crazy lengths. And now you have a TV show about it. So great job by Taylor. I don't know if she was intending to do that. I think she was. I think she's a ton smarter and a lot more business savvy
Starting point is 00:12:47 than she even lets on. But she really just wants Miranda to also admit to this. It's like you're kind of forcing her hand here. This isn't really her place. If she doesn't want to talk about it, she doesn't have to. But you, you're holding all the cards. You want her back, or she wants to get back in the mom talk. She's going to have to admit it to me that I was right. It's like, all right, I kind of get that. Yeah, exactly. But we get to the boot store and they're shopping for the Halloween party. and you know Layla we saw last year got divorced and you know she's back she's back in the dating pool she's ready to get out there we saw her with uh what was the the handsome bartender from villa Sam Sam we saw her help up with Sam a little bit which was uh you know good for her but they're
Starting point is 00:13:29 talking about Jen and I think it's Jesse Demi and and Layla discussing because Zach just returned home he's moving back he claims to be a changed man and of course they're all skeptical because they saw the text messages last year rightfully so but this is a trial move in you've heard of trial separations well this is a trial move in one step gets to the other yeah sure whatever well let's these fucking guys like these guys are being genuine which is scared oh yeah yeah like they don't fake anything like they're not the brightest bulbs either, but like this scene and watching when they just get together just the dudes, it's like watching robots try to communicate. It is wild. And we saw Dakota and Zach together in
Starting point is 00:14:21 Vegas last year. The two of them together will probably just sit there and trash their wives, girlfriend, Taylor. They'll sit there for hours and probably just complain about their lives as if they're so fucking hard. Your girlfriend slash wife is making so much money off of TikTok. You don't even really have to work. Zach, you could just go to medical school and just fuck off for a little while and you'd be fine.
Starting point is 00:14:42 He's doing that. He's literally doing that. I know. So I don't get that part of it. But it's funny to throw Brett in there because Brett is what, like 47 years old. Brett's old and doesn't fit in with this crew at all.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I don't know a whole lot about him. He just kind of seems like a meathead to me. He seems like a meathead for sure. He doesn't strike me as the guy that's going to openly trash his wife either. No, the whole conversation probably makes him very uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Yeah, yeah, he's probably just going to cheat on her, which, you know, we'll get into later in the season. But, uh, yeah, it's just so, like the dynamic between these dudes is hilarious because it's almost like, it's almost like we're getting like a house husband's show. We get them. Yeah, they're struggling with their role of not having to be the breadwinner. So they just sit around and fly fish and just talk shit on their wives. They fly fishing beautiful streams in Utah, like, oh, tough life.
Starting point is 00:15:36 but they get into the Taylor talk and Dakota's like things are rough like I screwed up and you know being a dad's the most important thing to me I believe that part I do think that he takes fatherhood seriously but not seriously enough to not be a piece of shit that's where it's like this double edge sort of like it matters to you but present yeah he's not like when he is when he is around the baby it seems like it's in the forefront of his mind he's a weird dude I obviously he's a strange cat trying to understand his motives for things is where i can't quite do it you know what i mean because he is super dumb like his motives are selfish he's his motives are very selfish but there is like a portion of it where he does think about his baby it crosses his mind and i'm not i think he hates
Starting point is 00:16:22 taylor but he wants the money that's that's where i am i i think that's pretty spot on i think he wants a piece of that mom talk money but at the same time he really doesn't like taylor And you see that. It's evident every single time that they're in the same room together. Especially around other people, which is when you would think that they would be supportive or he would try to be supportive. But that's when he's at his worst. He always takes everyone else's side, throws her under the bus. It sucks to watch, honestly.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Oh, this is it. The day you finally ask for that big promotion. You're in front of your mirror with your Starbucks coffee. Be confident. Assertive. Remember eye contact. But also remember to blink. Smile.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Not too much. That's weird. What if you aren't any good at your job? What if they dim out you instead? Okay, don't be silly. You're smart, you're driven, you're going to be late if you keep talking to the mirror. This promotion is yours. Go get him. Starbucks.
Starting point is 00:17:18 It's never just coffee. It got Willa. It got my daughter. I need to find her. Willa! From acclaimed director, Paul Thomas Anderson. You can save that girl. On September 26th, experience what is being called the best movie of the year.

Tron Ares looks exceptional, plus Mortal Kombat 2. And Edgar writes, The Running Man, starring Glenn Powell. Search for Raiders of the Lost podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. But he wants to fix things because he doesn't want to be poor. And this line, and we saw a glimpse of it last episode, but this line's fucking nuts.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Taylor's parents have really been there for me. You know, they invited me to a barbecue. I'm like, I feel so bad for Taylor in this regard. I still do I. Her family sucks. They're the worst, bro. They are the worst. maybe her one sister is not bad it will get no she was reasonable she was the only one it was
Starting point is 00:19:07 actually bizarre to even hear somebody else talk and speak some sort of reason like oh she's like the youngest one there except the fucking brother fuck that oh holy shit the brother yeah we don't need to see her brother ever again but yeah Dakota sitting here I I maybe I didn't really care enough what the fuck is his back story is he like an orphan or something like uh he doesn't have a family I think His family dynamic is fucked up. I think he was, I don't want to say things that are baseless. Yeah, no, I don't really know either. But he, again, strikes me as he probably just left his family to go to Utah and be with Taylor because Taylor has money.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Like, that's what I get from him. Like, I, there was backstory last season and I forget it, but. Yeah, he's a terrible dude, so I don't mind speculating about terrible people. That's a good point, actually. I don't really care either. But as we know, Zach's back and he's out there in the stream as well. Again, up until this point, he's saying the right things. He's like, I'm just here to support Jen.
Starting point is 00:20:09 The whole Chippendales thing, I was wrong. I'm not going to church at the moment because I feel unaccepted. And what's this last? I'm embarrassed. I couldn't read my own handwriting. Embarrassed. Well, he's still saying, he's still saying the right things. Which, you know, there's just no way it's going to last.
Starting point is 00:20:27 we get a little bit more about it in the next episode as well. I think he just found a different angle. And that's really all it is. He's still a manipulative piece of shit. He didn't change at all. I'm curious. I'm curious how much he did change, how much he didn't change.
Starting point is 00:20:43 I'm curious, you know, just the dynamic of their marriage. Because when we start to- I don't think Jen's much better. That's what I'm saying. I'm not giving him a pass by any means. I'm just saying the more that we learn about like the inner work
Starting point is 00:20:57 of their marriage through Demi and Jesse who again you know as far as sources go I'm not entirely sure there but you just hear things right you hear certain things like oh that's sketch and then he does sketchy shit so it just kind of sounds like they're both sketchy
Starting point is 00:21:13 but speaking of Jesse and Demi they've agreed to sit down with Zach and hear what he has to say and Zach shows up there at a little coffee shop and he just wants to show you can't drink coffee as a Mormon what are you doing that's right What are you doing in a coffee shop? It looks like a sick coffee shop.
Starting point is 00:21:31 You know what it looks like? It looks like a, and I know, you know, they're in Utah, obviously, but I got vibes of being somewhere in, like, New England, like right off the coast. It's got that, like, overworked wood on the outside and it felt like a place that you can probably catch some good lobsters. That's what I felt. And then I realized, hey, shit, this is coffee. You're not allowed to have that. What are you doing there? No, but that's where this whole thing gets confusing because ketamine,
Starting point is 00:21:57 fine coffee fuck no make that makes actually maybe jesse actually i could probably see jesse and me might actually drink coffee now they might have a little they're not really no yeah yeah they don't they have a lot of gray areas but they all sit down together to have this conversation and zach leads it off he's like i said a lot of hurtful things
Starting point is 00:22:16 and i was gambling while getting mad at her for chippendales which made me such a hypocrite and i'm really grateful for the things that you guys said to jen and this is where it starts to get a little sketchy which i didn't see this coming at all because they respond and she's like you talked major shit about your wife you gambled away your tuition and he's like what whoa yeah you gambit away your tuition he's like ah no i didn't no i didn't do that at all that's 100% a lie we thought that was hyperbole last year we're like ah that's just people that don't understand gambling they're just assuming if he's gambling and church is against it it's got to be the worst thing ever he's got to be gambling way his future yeah
Starting point is 00:23:01 you lost your mortgage like that kind of it's yeah it's an expression and they don't i think expressions in that world are probably lost on these people which is very funny but they took it for fucking bible which is so funny they're like you your parents gave you a lot of money you gambled it all way in one day in Vegas in regards like what you just said when jen said it i don't think that she meant it as hyperbole. I think she was being serious. She was. Yeah. She was throwing shade. So they also heard it as wow, he gambled away all of his school money that his parents gave him. That's
Starting point is 00:23:36 fucked up. And it leads to them saying, look, these are just the things that we were told about you. And this is how Jen talks about you, by the way. Right. You know, the narcissism comments, which yeah, that one's on the nose. But a lot of things that she says to them are relayed to him. And he's like, kind of caught off guard. Yep. And he again, says the right thing.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Says the right thing. This is not who I want to be. Jesse blames Jen's comments on Zach. But now she's starting to realize like, oh, she's saying a lot of heavy shit that may be unfounded and she's lying to us while telling Zach something else and telling us a third thing. That's messy. And he's also saying, again, still saying the right things.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I don't want to talk about Jen's comments. I don't want to talk about her role in this. I just want to be able to take ownership and accountability for what I've done. It's like, okay, that's the right thing to say. How about that? Protecting my wife. My wife's not here to defend herself.
Starting point is 00:24:39 We're not going to talk about her comments. But that definitely, a little plant in his head, Jen's talking shit. And he doesn't, I just, he doesn't bite. He doesn't bite in this moment. He doesn't bite because he knows better. and this is he's a lot of things he's a narcissist he's an asshole fine but he's smart and this is the problem when you're we're used to dealing with in these reality tv shows you deal
Starting point is 00:25:04 with a narcissist and they're usually dumb as a bag of rocks we're usually guys like jacks or sand of all exactly and when you get a smart one in here it's a weird little like oh oh you you're yeah you know what you're doing trying to figure you out dal not like they don't bite on the comments and then they just they just plant things for later plant things for later like they're meticulous but you do see a crack in the armor at the end of the conversation because he goes on to try to defend his wife and he says you know what really bummed me out is you guys didn't have her back after Vegas not true either whoa whoa whoa we texted her we were left on red we called she never got back to us we have the text to prove it so now zach's like well what the
Starting point is 00:25:48 fuck's going on they're like what the fuck is going on So this whole conversation between these three that was meant to hopefully smooth things over between Zach and these two has now turned into these three versus Jen. Correct. That's where we're at now. What a show. Very least, yeah, it's, it was such a strange turning point too. Right. Now it's, and where they are, they have kids together, um, Zach's not going to fully turn on Jen, but I think he sees it as an opportunity.
Starting point is 00:26:19 these two are now thinking we need to talk to Jen about this. So when he goes back and he has this conversation with Jen that we're about to talk about, in his mind, I'm good. I'm out of this, Scott-Pree. Now they're going to blame Jen for it, but I can play the supportive husband.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I'm not going to say I didn't say any of these things. Hey, I had to sit down with Jesse and to me, and we talked about all of this. It seems like there's a bit of a disconnect between you guys that you need to figure out. I'm out of here. I'm good. I'm going to go home and play with my baby.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Yeah. I'm going to go home and I, out with my baby. I'm good now. I'm just going to go be super dad. And this is all going to smooth over. Yep. But before we get to that scene, we got TFP with her family for one of the most upsetting, gross, and arguably one of my least favorite scenes in reality TV that I've ever seen. And that's saying a lot. And I'm not using hyperbole because mom invites to go to this was so gross. And I was trying to put myself in this situation. Like if one of my sisters was going through something like this if the man that put it right there you can't do that you're right
Starting point is 00:27:24 you're right can't do it these people are not real they're like fucking aliens they truly are they don't think the same way that we do this i would kill the guy as soon as you walk in the door i'd be like you're fucking dead like yeah cheated on my sister like no but that's not even the worst part that's the best thing i know which is fucking nuts he Dakota comes out of this what he did to tfp is completely different than all we're watching what she lives with with her family. They're so much worse than Dakota. And they're going to,
Starting point is 00:27:53 no wonder they want to take him under their wing. It also makes sense why she's into Dakota. He is legitimately the carbon copy of her family. Like, he fits in very well with them. But let's try to get through this. It's going to take me a sec because I was, oh, I was a hot little potato. But mom invited Dakota, didn't tell TFP until the day off.
Starting point is 00:28:15 She's like, oh, didn't I tell you that? And she's like, I don't care. Right out of the gate, I'm like, oh, I'm going to hate this. I'm going to hate this whole scene one because we're talking about Halloween costumes, right? And she's going as mean girls, I believe, Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls. Gretchen Wieners? Dad asks, we going to slutty Gretchen or regular Gretchen.
Starting point is 00:28:35 I'm like, don't love that. Don't love that, dad. That's, you know, it's kind of strange, but all right, let's just keep moving on. Yeah, yep. No. And so that was strange right out of the gate. The second part, her mom. mom says to Taylor, why would I be mean to anyone?
Starting point is 00:28:53 That's nice to me in regards to Chase and Miranda. She's nice to Chase. She's nice to Dakota. Like, no, no, you're mama bear, first of all. So if people are mean to you and yours, you be mean to them back. That's just like standard family procedure. So her whole mindset's fucked out of the gate. But don't worry, Dakota arrives.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Step dad daps him up. Hey, man. Good to see you. They did like the, oh, here comes trouble. Like, oh, hey, big man. Like that kind of vibe. I'm like, dude, he cheated on your daughter. He cheated on your daughter who's sitting right there.
Starting point is 00:29:28 What the fuck are you doing? Why are you high-fiving this guy? Like, if you're going to do this, at least be like the stern father in the corner with your arms crossed glaring at him. It's one of those situations where like, you can be disappointed because of all, the way that it all shook out is insane. You know, they started dating.
Starting point is 00:29:46 They went out on a couple of dates. she accused him of cheating he came back he lied for the entire time she gets pregnant they get into a domestic violence situation where the fucking cops have to show up like all of that all happened in a very short period of time that the fact that we're now just boiling it down to i hooked up with another girl countless times while we were you know a couple of weeks into seeing each other that's what we're like focusing on here that's what we're blaming taylor yeah we've all of those other things have happened She got pregnant within, like, two or three months of knowing this guy. They've been dating. They've been in a tumultuous relationship, incredible toxicity. They had the fucking cops called on them. But we're going to sit here and we're going to blame Taylor because she got upset that he was lying to her and hooking up with another girl, then coming over to her house. Like, she's allowed to be upset about that.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Yeah, do we need to like freak the fuck out and be like, you're a piece of shit? Like, if he didn't lie and she found out, like, obviously there's so many fucking ifs. I'm not even going to bother to go down that road because it's like at its core. She's justified at this point. In the beginning of this, if it was two or three weeks into their relationship and they had a huge blowout, it would be like, just break up with them. Be done with this. Like, it's not going to work. Move on.
Starting point is 00:31:06 But you can't because your lives are now intertwined forever with a baby. So, yeah. It sucks. But, you know, after watching your family, I get it. I understand it too. And while they're sitting at dinner, fucking Leanne has the balls to say, you're so quiet and closed off. No shit. Look at the situation right now, Mom.
Starting point is 00:31:25 Are you fucking kidding me? But they start going through the details of everything. It's like, you guys are together, you're not together. We're all tired of it. Oh, shit. I'm sorry, guys. Are you over this whole thing? That's a bummer.
Starting point is 00:31:38 They're siding with Dakota on the whole thing. And then the brother chimes in, who again is my least favorite character on any show I've ever seen. seen this guy's such a cuck and a little bitch and to talk to your sister like this is fucking baffling but he's like first of all how old is the kid 20 something maybe he could also be one of those weirdos that looks 20 something but he's actually like 40 something i'm not entirely sure he's probably older than her yeah he's probably like 30 probably still lives at home he fucking says your relationship needs to be a hundred percent and it feels like one side is lacking brother she got cheated on by that guy right there who lied to her for two years about it while
Starting point is 00:32:18 they had a kid together why are you minimizing the situation saying that taylor's not pulling her weight i just wrote down fuck this family fuck this family he went and hooked up with jena taylor lays out the entire scene he was hanging with somebody then he comes over and fucks me i'm glad she said fuck but then they start to try and nitpick and the dad calls her a slut yeah The stepdad calls her a slut by saying you guys hung out three times and you fucked him. What does that say about you? Oh, let's not give any smoke to Dakota here who got her pregnant after only knowing her for so long or slept with her after leaving another woman's house. Let's not talk about what a scumbag, dirtbag, slut he is.
Starting point is 00:33:03 We're going to talk about, we're going to slut shame your daughter. Are you kidding me? This guy. This fucking guy. He deserves to walk off of a fucking cliff in Utah and seriously injure his leg. I'm not going to go that far. But the fact that he could sit there with Dakota at the table. And this just shows you how misogynistic that religion is and this state is because you have two guilty parties.
Starting point is 00:33:29 If you want to put it that way at this table. And yet the dude gets no smoke. It's like the fucking old trope where it's like, oh, yeah, if dudes get a lot of chicks, they're cool. But if girls hook up with a lot of dudes, they're a slut. that logic and fuck these people for perpetuating it this bald bitch needs to get on his knees and apologize to taylor on tv in front of everybody i think she needs to cut her family off from any sort of financially like you have to and obviously it's a lot easier said than done and like you said this conversation goes a completely different way at least for the audience
Starting point is 00:34:03 if you had the same energy for both of them if you guys want to sit there and rip the both of them apart for acting the way that they're acting fine as long as it's 50 50 don't go after her he's a piece of shit he is a piece of shit you can't boil it down to oh yeah i cheated on a couple weeks into our relationship and she's still making a big deal about it you lied about it for two years you had a baby with that's the problem stuck here this is where you are you have to figure it out stop complaining and bitching and i genuinely believe that she just needs to she's i i want to say emancipate but it's it's still going to work i'm going to say it she needs to just emancipate you need to get the fuck out of there no no money for your family anymore let them
Starting point is 00:34:42 your mom wants to go keep getting all the fucking surgeries in the world to go look like somebody else let her go do it she's a piece of shit she wants to go do it she can go down to mexico and pay you know 10 cents on the dollar to go do it she's going to look awful but she deserves to look awful she's a terrible person so go let them do it go let them live their life you go live your life because you don't need this shit absolutely absolutely we don't have to like break down the rest of it it's just them trying to rationalize my taylor i want to get away from I would have got a way to see. And like the balls on Dakota to be yelling, yelling at her in front of her whole family.
Starting point is 00:35:15 He got empowered by her family. But he's yelling at her in front of her whole family and they're all siding with them and okay with again. And I know I can't do this. If a dude raised his voice to my daughter or sisters at the table, I would drag him away by his shirt collar. Like it's just wild because like you don't. Expect to see this kind of shit.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Luckily, her sister does chime in and have some sort of voice of reason to put an end to all of it. Yeah, stay separated. Stay separated. Like that is actually in this moment after everything that we just watched, everything that just transpired, that's what you have to say. You can't even throw your hat into the ring to try to defend Taylor at this point. You have to find some little level playing grounds. And they didn't want it. You could tell on all of their faces.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Oh, they wanted to keep shooting. Her parents, they wanted to keep shitting on her when her sister says, stay separated. This is clear right here that you guys should not be together. You need to stay separated and figure it out while working on yourselves. That's what you have to do. You can't be together anymore. You look at Dakota. You look at the parents.
Starting point is 00:36:22 They didn't agree in one iota. They were like, no. What the hell is she talking about? What are we doing here right now? We're figuring it out right now. Like, no, you're not. You're just not. You're crashing the girl.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Family comes first is what they keep. saying lian where's taylor's dad where you fucking vin diesel where's taylor's dad leanne the family comes first you do whatever you got to do to make it work right lian where's her dad they finish it with let's say a prayer which is the epitome the epitome the epitome of hypocritical organized religions of people being huge sacks of shit but they go to church on sunday and they're absolved i have exercised my demons get the fuck out of here let's get to jen and zach and you can tell pretty much immediately
Starting point is 00:37:12 that this is not how jen thought this was going to go because he's like yeah the conversation was rough it was pretty rough and she's like oh they really they really get you he's like oh no no they just told me that all you say is how horrible i am and uh she tries to back pedal a little bit she's like well I don't know why they would say that. I haven't talked to them since Vegas. They haven't reached out.
Starting point is 00:37:36 He's like, they called you out on that one too and said they both texted you and they both called you. And yeah, it pretty much just turned into everyone versus you, Jen. Yep.
Starting point is 00:37:46 Yeah. All the tables have turned here, Jen, that's what's going to happen. She thought she was throwing them through the gauntlet. Let me throw him to the wolves. They're going to rip them apart.
Starting point is 00:37:55 He's going to come back a beatered, a beatered, a beaten and battered man. Beatered. Yeah. He's going to come back at a beater. Yeah, that's going to come back in a beer. The cigarette behind his ear, but it just turns into that guy.
Starting point is 00:38:09 It's just like, oh, Jesus Christ. That's a fucking long conversation. Yeah, she really thought that he was going to come back and just beg forgiveness even more. Like grovel, yeah. Yep, just grovel, you know. We tried to clear the air. We kind of did. I have hope for the future.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Nope, Jen, actually, it's your turn. You got to go deal with this shit. I'm actually out of this. This has nothing to do with me anymore. actually you wronged me is kind of the way that this turns because you need to move out now you got to go to irizona get out of my house go to medical school but he he literally says to her i'm upset because you vented to them about us and she's like well i defended you and us so many times and his big follow-up is if you don't trust them then don't share things about our marriage
Starting point is 00:38:58 and it seems like she's lying a lot is kind of what we're starting to figure out which leads to the they're both kind of sketchy and again I think Zach's a piece of shit for what he did but there's just a lot of big question marks in here but the way to clear it up is they think that everybody should sit down together and have a four person conversation to clear the air

And don't forget to hit the follow button. let's get to jesse's house with jesse demi brett and jordan right jordan yes yeah jordan okay cool jordan jordan jordan jordan jordan the next episode jesus but we hear the setup of the party and they're talking through it and they're inviting chase and kate chase being one of the members involved in a swinging thing who was also the ex-husband of miranda and kate didn't Kate date somebody in the group? No, Kate's friends with to me.
Starting point is 00:42:09 I know that. I thought Kate had dated somebody in the crew. I could be wrong. I don't think so. I don't know. Maybe Dakota. Dakota would make sense and it would be funny, but I don't think so. It might have been.
Starting point is 00:42:25 No, I don't. Hold on. Now we're going all over. the place. Maybe that's not sure. Let's just move on. Let's not make baseless claims here. But to me lays out the whole plan. Here's what we're going to do. Here's how we're going to get to the bottom of what happened. I invited the Chippendales host out here. He's going to teach you guys how to do the Chippendales dance, which by the way, he must have stayed there for an extended period of time because he's at the party. And I don't believe that
Starting point is 00:42:51 this was the day of the party. I don't believe it was either. Yeah. There's no way. him out, put them up so that they could do this bit and literally says, how else are we going to get to the bottom of it? Get to the bottom of what? What are you trying to deduce from this? I think they're trying to see if Zach is going to have a visceral reaction to seeing Chippendell's and we need to see what his actual reaction was. Maybe it's maybe the everything's turned completely around. It's all sideways and they're thinking if Zach has a good positive reaction and laughs at this, then maybe Jen was lying about his reaction to
Starting point is 00:43:28 Joe. Oh, you think they're trying to vet her to? I don't fucking know. I think this was just a bit. And I wish that they just came right out and just said, you know, Zach deserves this. He needs to squirm. We want to watch him squirm while he goes through all of this. If they said that, I'd be like, yeah, that makes sense. It's kind of funny. But instead, they're like, yeah, we have to get to the bottom of this.
Starting point is 00:43:44 How? With what? I don't know. Where do we get to the bottom of? That's what I was curious about. Get to the bottom of what? Do you want the swing? I don't know. I guess that might have been in regards to the swinging allegations by inviting all the swingers there. Maybe that had part of it, too. That was part of it.
Starting point is 00:43:58 They wanted to get to the bottom of it with Chase there for sure. But it was kind of love together with the Chittendenale stuff. So I don't know. We have to get to the bottom of a lot of stuff. It's a crazy plan, but do you think that Whitney set the tone of these things by the fruity cereal of last season? Like that's when she did that whole thing, which was obviously a big rumor that we're still not entirely sure
Starting point is 00:44:23 the setup of the fruity cereal but it was involved in some kind of sex act do you think that set the tone of like oh we're going low and now they just go lower i guess they just keep going lower i don't know that i have something for when we get to the whole uh the details of the swinging that it's just everything's so gray and weird in mormon culture like as we know as we know it yeah that the things that we do know for sure when we get explicit details about stuff that they've done are not that bad or it's like it's a little weird
Starting point is 00:44:58 but it's like oh yeah all right the shit that they do to get around the whole Mormon thing is bizarre it's crazy insane so we go to the fruity cereal we're going to fucking obviously you know soaking and shaking and doing all of those things all of those things are disgusting isn't that what it's called
Starting point is 00:45:16 when they shake the bed there's floating there is a what do they call what's the one where as a group they all shake the bed i don't know there's one set up where you are soaking and then there's a shaker that shakes the bed for you to that that is way worse by the way that all of the things that we find out about what the actual swinging stuff was this is it's also way worse than just having sex just to get around a bible loophole like what are we doing i can't believe i was so upset with the fruity cereal thing came back to and to me dressed up as the fruity cereal. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:45:51 not this again. I can't do it. I didn't know what it was last year. I'm not going to know what it is this year. I'm not any smarter in the Mormon sex culture than I am last year. I don't think that's a Mormon sex thing. That's just a weird sex thing. No king shaming. No king shaming. But we never got to the bottom of the
Starting point is 00:46:08 cereal. I don't know. I don't know. But let's get to the conversation between Jen, Zach, Demi, and Jesse. Zach told Jen the truth that she only talked shit about Zach. That's what they all say to her.
Starting point is 00:46:24 But to sum up the whole conversation, more or less, Jen's trying to defend herself, but everything she's saying, they can debunk. And they do pretty much immediately. And her whole thing of like, you guys, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:36 you try to trash my marriage and you talked all this shit. It's like, whoa, whoa, let's roll the tape back. Because what happened was Chippendales went off. It was a disaster for you.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Zach was raged texting you and you showed us all the text messages and to support you, we talked a lot of shit because what we saw was horrifying and not something you need to be involved with. So you brought us into your marriage. So of course we're going to
Starting point is 00:47:04 have opinions about your marriage and then on top of that, you told us that he gambled away all of his tuition money and she fucking balks and goes, maybe you should clarify how is Zach? And he's like Jen, come on. Maybe you should maybe you should clarify.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Tell us what actually happened, because that makes no sense. And you can see Demi and Jesse, like, starting to come to the realization, like, holy shit, she lied about that. What else is she lied about? So she's losing all of, she didn't have a lot of support to begin with. No. But now she has no support. She has zero support at all.
Starting point is 00:47:38 And I love that at this point, Zach is just there as the subject matter. He doesn't really have to do anything. He's just there for, he can put it under the guys of I'm here for marriage support. I'm here for moral support for my wife while she gets through this tough time with her friends as it's now turned into. But also it's just his only
Starting point is 00:47:58 input for the whole thing is it's ridiculous. I'm not going to talk about I didn't gamble away my fucking college fund. Jen, what actually happened? All right, shit. Yeah, that didn't happen. I'm sorry, guys. It's like, what? Really?
Starting point is 00:48:16 What did you still? She still tried to go ahead and turn it and tell Zach that he needs to explain it like that would be if that jack came right out and said yeah I didn't gamble away the money that my parents gave me from my medical school that would be insane Jesse and to me are probably still not really going to believe it but the fact that he throws it right back to Jen and Jen turns around they're like what the fuck is going on what else is going on what are you lying about well the ghosting of the text messages because she brings that I felt like nobody checked in and they're like look yeah we did you didn't respond to us and her response to that is well i could talk about italy
Starting point is 00:48:56 what you've started this whole thing which is valid by the way it's funny i know they didn't think it was valid right away they're like what the fuck why are we talking about italy why are you talking about the villas it's kind of funny it's very valid actually in regards to your marriage yeah if you're going to go ahead and obviously the only reason they're talking about zach and jenn is because Jen talked to them about her marriage, and she made it a whole big thing that now it's a huge storyline. So, of course, they're going to talk about it. But once Jen feels cornered, she's like,
Starting point is 00:49:25 hey, let's talk about your marriage. What's going on? And that is going to put the stepping stone, the first stepping stone out there for what we do eventually get to, which is the whole to me and Brett and what the fuck's actually going on. Now we've got Jesse involved in Marciano. It just throws a little something out there. I actually do, if you ask me right now,
Starting point is 00:49:45 I think, like, yeah, Do I think that the whole, the separation thing between Zach and Jen was real? Probably not. I really, I don't think it was real. But everything else is pretty real. There's some things going on there and it's actually not on Zach and Jen's side of the street. They're weird. They lie about weird shit.
Starting point is 00:50:02 They try to do different things. Fine. They talk shit and stir the pot. Fine. I don't really think that there's a lot of problems there other than Zach being an asshole. Maybe there's some money things going on here and there. I think they have some marital problems, but like, as far as outside. I think they're both
Starting point is 00:50:17 issues with each other. Yes, exactly. Yeah. That's what I comment. But like I actually probably don't think I don't really see any like sort of cheating scandal going on there. Not that I would really care or be surprised. But it is funny because it does put her in a corner and it allows her to open up about the other shit that's been going on.
Starting point is 00:50:35 So throwing the bill of thing out there is hilarious. It's. Oh my God, objectively very funny. Yeah. But to say that it was warranted or had anything to do with the current situation is not true. It was just. yeah well fuck you boop and then they're both like what the fuck
Starting point is 00:50:49 I can talk myself into it just because it's it's funny enough that I can definitely talk myself into it being warranted you know what I mean it's like that is great that moves the needle for me I will I've got your back out there right now we can go down that path it's just not how I thought it was going to come out but production
Starting point is 00:51:05 does Jen no favors because the very next scene is them getting ready for this party and it's like oh should we go as J-Lo and Ben Affleck ha ha just Just to clear this up, we're not related to them. Yeah, we are. No, we're not.
Starting point is 00:51:23 No, we are. We are because your family told me that we were. And he's like, this has been an ongoing joke in my family since Ben Affleck did goodwill hunting. Like, we've always made this joke. You're the one that took it and ran with it. So he's throwing her under the bus again. And this is where you could point to like, because I still don't think he's a good dude. I think he's saying the right things for now.
Starting point is 00:51:44 But if you really wanted to support her as she's asking to be supported, when you're on camera, just laugh this one off. Don't keep doubling, tripling down. Like, they didn't say that. You did this. This is your fault. Yeah. I kind of agree. But at the same time, I do think that maybe a lot of people were talking about their relations to Ben Affleck last year at the end of last season.
Starting point is 00:52:08 I know it probably got back to Zach's family and they were questioning it. Like, what is the fuck is this? Why is this a thing? Why am I reading an article right now about how you're related to Ben Affleck? It's a family joke. What the fuck's going on? This is the first time I got brought up. So I think he wanted to do it on camera.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Like, we're not, Jen, we're not related to Ben Affleck. Like, just fucking tell the camera. Same thing as what we just talked about with Demi and Jesse. Tell the truth. Like, we're not really good. Please clear the fucking air so that I don't have another article. And Ben Affleck doesn't start disputing this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Yeah. It's just. He probably watches it. he probably does actually but let's get to the party and we already have a Ben Affleck and a J-Lo Jesse and Jordan decided
Starting point is 00:52:53 to dress up as them which is just throwing even more shade and that's that's where I have to question the motives because they want to set this thing up as vindication for Jen in some kind of way with the Chippendales thing they want to set this up as getting to the bottom of some
Starting point is 00:53:09 things you're just trying to be assholes because you know the Chippendale thing is over the top. And now you're dressing up as J-Lo and Ben, which is a knock on both of them, not just a knock on Zach. It's actually more of a knock on Jen because she's the one perpetuating this rumor. We start seeing all the guests arrive and Dakota and Taylor. They came.
Starting point is 00:53:28 I don't think they came together, but they're both at the party. Miranda's there. Chase is there. And Kate's coming. And I guess the Chase wanted to come to the party so very badly. So bad. It's not because he needs to clear it up. he is a bona fide clout chasing moron this dude
Starting point is 00:53:47 apparently has a podcast i'm not gonna i have no idea what his podcast is or what it's about but oh we're gonna look it up that was that was so fucking funny that was don't you talk shit about my podcast don't make fun of my podcast shut up dude that's the next episode we'll get there i'm excited to talk about that but miranda's there she's excited to be there and then zach and jen arrive and out of the gate they're like um don't care for jessie and Jordan. All right. That one hit a little close to him. Don't love that. And then Dakota arrives and in tow is Chase and Kate. So now there's a lot going on. And the beef, I guess, is between Dakota and Chase for some reason. They don't get along very well. I'm assuming because of the Taylor stuff,
Starting point is 00:54:29 I don't really know. But they're not tight. Yeah, they're definitely not tight. I think it was more a matter of like, I've only heard rumors about you. I don't know what this is all about. Maybe. Yeah, I don't I think it was more like Dakota wanted to dig and he wanted to like show up and he wasn't doing it in a supportive way for Taylor at all. I know he tries to like do it under that guys later but Dakota he's he's fucking
Starting point is 00:54:53 digging he's just digging for information he wants to know more about the swinger stuff yeah he's an insecure little bitch so he wants to know more about the swinger stuff and he knows that chase is more than willing to talk about it so that's that's really all that was I don't think there was any beef between them though because they I thought there was fine
Starting point is 00:55:08 things were tense between them I'm like 90% sure on this one. That things were tense between them. And they could be for a litany of reasons. But they hug, they start talking. Yeah, right here it says, Dak doesn't like Chase. So he must,
Starting point is 00:55:23 I'm assuming it's fall back from all of this stuff going on. Yeah. They're chit chatting. And Chase wants to clear the air right out of the gate. He brings up that he didn't fuck Taylor. And he says it multiple times, which is weird to do. And as he's doing it,
Starting point is 00:55:37 he's pointing across the room at TFP. so of course TFP comes on over to talk to him yep and his his first line to her is I bring out the lowest point in your life because you bring up mine and Taylor's response was solid because she goes oh swinging was the lowest point because I could tell worse and I was like ooh do go on do go on tell us everything well they're going to play truth for truth let's play little truth for truth I tell a truth and they tell a truth and what did you tell me at the gym What did you tell me at the gym? I had a sex stream. This is not news to anybody, right? Except Dakota learned. But even Dakota in the next episode, he's like, I didn't know that until like two weeks ago. It's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:20 It's all you knew. Or Chase, like pointing at the camera. Tell the camera what you said. Tell the camera. She told us in a confessional, like, yeah, 20 minutes ago. We're already on board with this. We don't need to hear that. She said, but what did you tell me?
Starting point is 00:56:33 He's like, well, that I also had a sex stream. As soon as he said that, I was like, that's not what you fucking said. That's not what you said at all. and he's clearly lying and Dakota being awkward is the best part of this he's like I'm so uncomfortable I'm like good
Starting point is 00:56:46 sit in your uncomfortableness you piece of shit you deserve to feel weird stand there and shut up and at the very least if you want to make this work with the mother of your child you don't have to back her up
Starting point is 00:56:57 just stop siding with Chase is a good start yeah definitely a good place to start for anything there it's just I just love Taylor's energy towards anybody that has anything
Starting point is 00:57:08 to do with going against her is so great she'll like drop of the hat drop of the hat I saw them point and happy I'm going right over there zero to a thousand do you want some help nope she doesn't it's your fucking problem it's it's so fucking good but this conversation before it leads us right in the next episode but Dakota throws her under the bus immediately he's talking he's telling me what happened like you're not doing that like of course like I believe him I'm like god you fucking suck meanwhile Kate Kate starts crying Kate the girlfriend of Chase who has to stand by and watch this disaster
Starting point is 00:57:41 transpire. Who didn't want to come? Why would you want to go to that? Why would you want to go to that? Chase? You dick? But yeah, that was a what an episode. What an episode?
Starting point is 00:57:55 These episodes are so fucking long too. But I'm in the entire time. I'm locked in. I'm not scrolling during any of it.
