Bros & Shows - The Greatest (Now Levitating) ShowWoman (RHUGT Full Recap S5E8)

Episode Date: September 30, 2026

What's up bros? We're very unfortunately winding down this fun ultimate girls trip but we're in someone's city....whose city??? Luann's City! While Luann is literally on cloud 9 thanks to a magician,... the other ladies are not so thrilled with her antics and have finally hit the end of their rope. Thankfully part of the charm of an ultimate girls trip is that we have housewives from all other shows that aren't used to one another butting heads and they're going to need all of those heads to tackle Luann Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 Said it once. I'll say it again. Luan's a star. She's a goddamn star. I don't care. I don't care what you think. If you got annoyed by her, then you're wrong. You're just wrong. I like a theory I saw online where Bethany Frankel was a necessary evil for a very long time for Luann,
Starting point is 00:00:18 where she checked her ego all the time. So it kept Luan in check in some way, even though it was intolerable. And she has just gone way too long with her ego just out of control. But it's working out really well for us for ultimately. girl's trip because it's producing right now what a star as there's a drive in a deep left field by castellanos it will be oh man it's eight o'clock and so that'll make it a i don't need the spotlight i shine just fine hi i'm karma and yes i am a bitch brav bros good evening everybody and welcome back to another episode of brav bros your favorite podcast from
Starting point is 00:00:57 the bros for everybody or whoever wants to listen i am your co-host steal Russell joined as always by the one and only Goots the magnificent. I don't know what that magician's name was, but that sounds like a magiciany name. So here we are. You might think based on conversations that we've had on this show that I would think the magicians are bullshit. Far from it. I love magicians.
Starting point is 00:01:24 I know you like. We've talked about this and how weird it is that of all the things that piss you off, that magicians are a thing that you enjoy. Yeah. Yeah. I would imagine that a lot of people listening to this would think, all right, we've got on-camera therapists,
Starting point is 00:01:37 we've got the people that bring, you know, mood rocks or whatever the hell they're called, that'll vibe you out on different rocks that you can put in your walls, Shannon, things like that. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:01:48 they bother me. Definitely bother me. Magicians, no, not even remotely. I don't know if they're in the same room. Magicians have, there's a payoff.
Starting point is 00:01:59 You know, the sound bad for the rock thing, it's like, you're basing it off of somebody telling you that they feel different or yeah that works but but like magicians you get the payoff i get it yeah yeah the entertainment value from this magician in particular was fantastic putting teresa up there was even better i mean it all goes to show you lewam put on a hell of a party she really did i know that maybe she had the microphone for a long time and it is funny because there are you know two sides to everything yeah the housewives are
Starting point is 00:02:28 going to be a little annoyed that Luann has taken the spotlight, but it is her city. And she's making a pretty good point, at least to me. I understand everybody's perspective here. If I'm one of the other housewives, like, yeah, totally. This is annoying as shit. If I'm Luann, hey, it's my goddamn city. You put some respect on my name and my city. So I get where she's coming from with this whole thing.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Again, if you're going to allow her to be the representative of real housewives of New York, in New York City, you have to know what's coming. Like, that's the funny thing to me as we get to this point of the trip. You should be prepared for it to be kind of a fucking annoying evening. But my one thing, this is, like, I kind of felt bad. Luann genuinely up until this point and the Sprintervan at the end of this episode has no clue that everybody's annoyed with her. She's having the time of her life.
Starting point is 00:03:29 entire trip, not just New York, she is having a ball. And she thinks that everybody else is viving hard too. She's, she's happy, she's smiling, she's talking. The come down in that sprinter van, I know we only saw the beginning of it. I think it's going to hit pretty hard. I think she's going to be really fucking upset. Yeah, she's going to be really upset. She might even be like a little depressed about the whole thing because I do think in Luan's own little world,
Starting point is 00:03:55 she's been doing her best. She's been trying to raise the spirits. I mean, we hear this all the time, not even on Ultimate Girl's trip, but otherwise, where she's lifting everybody's spirits. You know, you're down on the dumps. Hey, your life could be a cabaret too. I'm not saying that I wouldn't get annoyed by it, but I am saying watching Luan for as many years as we have watched Luan. This is what she actually thinks. She is not putting on some crazy facade and acting like everything's okay when it's really not.
Starting point is 00:04:22 If it comes crashing down, which it looks like it's going to as we keep moving forward, the good thing about this show all the time is, they're moving they're going somewhere else they're going up for the berkshers right after this there's so many more faces that are popping up we get rhode island people next week there's going to be andy's going to be there i mean we're going to have a whole lot going on in that last couple of er is it two episodes or just one i feel like it's two episodes no fucking hell every time that we get a show that i want to keep going they're like ah it's over but you know what nine is such a weird number should they have a reunion for this show i'm down i want as much of this show as we can get, honestly.
Starting point is 00:04:59 I'm gonna, like, they should run this cast back. Just do Ultimate Girl's trip again and just send them somewhere. And then it's gonna wear out its welcome. I'm gonna be like, oh, you shouldn't have done that. But here's to hoping, you know, but I do know how that would go. We'd be so excited and then it would start and be like, oh, no, they've been around. It would be, I think that it would lose its luster after a couple seasons, maybe after the third one.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Like, you'd start to see some cracks out there. But I do think that season two, people would be a little bit more comfortable. Like maybe you don't bring Vicky back. because she was just such a bummer this entire time. But you get more out of Teresa because she might be a little bit more comfortable around them. Lisa's going to be really excited, Revin to go, get in there.
Starting point is 00:05:37 She's got all of her friends back again. She gets to get away from her cast once again. So she's really excited to go. I think the second season would be great because they're familiar with everybody. Third season, the only constant would still be, and this is important for this episode, Luan is still Luan.
Starting point is 00:05:52 There's no way you could have this show for another 10 years. You're going to get the same product. from Luann year in and year out. That's what makes her an all-timer. Like the fact that you know what you're going to get, but you don't know what you're going to get. It's going to be insane, but you understand what kind of insanity it's going to be.
Starting point is 00:06:12 She really truly lives her life as a cabaret, not to put on. This isn't her making a conscious decision of, oh, I'm going to fake it until I make it. I'm going to be cheerful. I'm going to do my thing all day, every day. She thinks genuinely in her heart of hearts that she is an A-list celebrity. Like, I'm talking red carpet and Beverly Hills with all of the famous actors, all of the famous musicians.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Like, she thinks she's right up there with all of them, genuinely. That's what makes her so good. The delusion that Luanne has is perfect for reality TV, even more so for a Real Housewife show, because you get the moments at the end of the party. You get her walking around proclaiming to everybody two hours, two hours, two hours. You get her talking about the fact that she's a countess for fucking 40 years. It's in any other realm, it'd be irritating. But because she is completely bought in 100% authentic, it's always good TV.
Starting point is 00:07:18 It never does not hit. I've never once seen Luan doing Luan things and be like, oh, knock it off. one time ever no and honestly i would even take that a little bit further on a show like this you're going to get some of those personality traits out of other women that are looking at this show i.e portia joselle whoever looking at this show like all right like we can just have a good time like yeah we can kind of mix it up here and there i know joselle's had her plans kind of laid out for not takedowns but just kind of stirring up some drama and that's what you're going to get with josell but portia i look to she is just trying to have as much fun as possible she's not really
Starting point is 00:07:53 trying to do a whole lot, but that is part of the charm of Porsche. Immediately after all of this, it's like, okay, your plan, as we've watched when we're sitting down with you guys in the, uh, in the hotel room. And I forget it, was it, Vicki was the third one, which is even more bizarre. Yes, Vicki's the third one sitting there. I know. It is very funny that we get a bummer in Vicky and then we have questions about Vicki while she's down in Atlanta and can't find her people. And then the next scene is that her sitting with Giselle and Portia talking about how annoying Luanna. She's like, oh, you know what? Maybe I did find my people. You guys also find Luana annoying. But let's not forget the plan was Luan
Starting point is 00:08:31 is getting on our nerves. We do need to have a conversation. And it's not like a, hey, tone it down a little bit. It's a housewife conversation. This is a full blown plans take down of Luan in the middle of her own party. Did we think this was going to go any differently? Us at home, absolutely not. Them, yeah, probably. The three of them sitting there, talking about this. So like, all right, we're going to put her in a place. We're going to give her a little ego check. She's going to understand where we're coming from.
Starting point is 00:08:56 And we're going to be able to just get through the rest of this trip without any more hiccups from Luann. No, that is not going to go the way that you think it is. No. And the question is, are we team Luan or are we team everybody else? Were they founded in going after Luan at this party? Or was it kind of mean? It is her party.
Starting point is 00:09:16 I know you're irritated with her. Everyone else has had their moment. Could we have saved it for the day after? Did we have to pop off? in the middle of the party, or was it planned on being taken care of later? And due to her antics, they jumped the gun. We're like, all right, I guess we're going to do this right now because you're being annoying as shit. I'm not entirely sure.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I don't know if it would have waited. I think because we talked about this in the last episode, too, I think the original plan was to have a conversation. Look, we're not talking about this in the real world anyway. We're talking about housewives. They're absolutely looking at a event coming up, whether it's the lunch, the gangster lunch that we watch or this party. One of these two were definitely going to be the choice. And yes, do I think Luann
Starting point is 00:09:57 harping on the fact that Porsche was two hours late and kept going after her for that and talking to other people about that? Probably exacerbated the issue and maybe spend things along. But I still think that they were planning on doing it at the gangster lunch and then things got really emotional and they decided that wasn't, and rightfully so, they decided it wasn't
Starting point is 00:10:13 the right time. Although you could talk me into a world in which after having a very emotional conversation about how it is to be a house on TV and sharing all of those moments on TV that you could have shoehorned in a while we're on the subject, Luann, you're kind of harsh at everybody's mellow by being really annoying. Can you tone it down? And I think it may have actually been received a little bit better, but even still, knowing
Starting point is 00:10:36 Luanne, it probably wouldn't have been, she probably would have turned the tables at some point. No, but we've seen Joelle do that. Correct. We've seen Jezell do that. We've seen Jezell do. And look, that's a marquee of a very good housewife. Jiselle is very good at doing that. And it's all about reading the room.
Starting point is 00:10:51 and then somehow finding a way to go against the flow and still make it work. And Jazeel does that time in and time out. Does she miss a lot? Yeah. But this is not one of those times that I think she was going to miss. I think you said it best. They are founded in their reasons for wanting to get after Luanne for being annoying. We've talked about it for a couple episodes now.
Starting point is 00:11:11 They are traveling across the country together. They don't hang out all the time. These aren't their chosen friends or chosen family if you're Teresa. This is an annoying person that you can't quite get rid of. of because producers keep just pushing her out there and pushing you in the same room with her. So yeah, tensions are just going to come to a point where you're going to have to have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:11:30 There is no good time to do it with Luann, though. She is going to turn it around on you in some way. I'm just curious if it's going to shake out in the way that I think it is where I think I'm going to feel bad for Luann. I know I will. I'm talking about will the general public, will the other housewives feel bad. I think they're going to.
Starting point is 00:11:48 I don't think this is going to go the way that it seems like it's going. right now in the sprinter bed. I think there's going to be a hint of like, I mean, yeah, she was annoying, but she wasn't being mean. She's not being mean to anybody. She's just kind of all in on this trip. I think she's so excited and a little tipsy, but I think she's just jazzed up to be part of this whole thing.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Yes, she's trying to steal the spotlight, but that's Luanne. That's what you're going to get. That's why we love her because she is a star. She is a showgirl. She does need to be front and. center god damn it so i have no issue with it but it is going to be interesting watching them discuss it but as we bop around this party you know kyle and alex mccord get to talk and i i don't know how much early roney you've watched with alex and simon it's the most bizarre
Starting point is 00:12:38 duo ever and i'm glad that by the way they're still in love and they still are like at the end of the day yes at the time and maybe even watching it back sometimes when you watch the or episodes, you are a little off put by their relationship. I'm very off put by their relationship. For me, I'm weirdly not anymore. I mean, maybe I was at a point in time. Like when I first saw them, I'm like, oh, what the fuck's going on here? But knowing their full story and knowing for a fact that they are still very much in
Starting point is 00:13:08 love with each other, with all the shit going on in the housewife world, with all the divorces and all the terrible things going on, it's kind of nice. Honestly, I find it charming. I agree. Yeah, I agree with that. They're still together. They're still married. They've been lovy-dovey for decades now.
Starting point is 00:13:24 No shade whatsoever. Genuinely, like, props to them. You will never convince me that watching them is not weird. It makes me feel weird. I don't enjoy it. There's a weird part of me that, like, wants to see it, but I can't look away. You know, like when you're watching, did you see obsession? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Oh, yeah. The feeling that you have watching that movie, we're just wildly uncomfortable the whole time. That's like watching Simon and Alex, but at the same time, obsession, great movie. great movie. It made you feel weird. That's this. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:56 I don't know. I really don't know what it is. I find it charming. I think it's, I think that you and I have had so much time to discuss terrible marriages and relationships and all the terrible things along the way. And a lot of the times it is the guy that does something and you're like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:14:12 Like my mind immediately goes to the fact that we've got a movie coming out for Atlanta with all of the ex-husbands of the Atlanta housewives. opening a sports bar and I'm wondering who the fuck is going to go see that. Give me, give me these two over that easily. Give me these two over that. And I will watch those uncomfortable scenes back to back rather than going to watch that. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:14:33 like I said, it's not that I don't want to watch it. It's that I just feel weird whilst watching it. So, you know, take that for what it is. I feel warm and fuzzy. I definitely have never felt that with those two.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Definitely fuzzy. I'm on the same. Yeah, definitely fuzzy that tracks. But I do agree with you. It is nice to see. a happily, happily, happily married couple. Happily married couple in those two.
Starting point is 00:14:57 They're still in Australia together. You get Jessel and Dorinda. Jessel's trying to clean up her mess a little bit. I will say this. And we've had this gripe with Roney. A lot of people have had this gripe with Roney, which on one hand, it's good because a lot of people like the newbies.
Starting point is 00:15:12 The other hand, not great because the only thing that people don't like is Jessel and Eric. I will say this. I didn't not like them at all. all in Ultimate Girl's trip. They, they're just annoying, dude. They don't fit.
Starting point is 00:15:26 They get just forced. They think it's their hot shit. I see. I didn't have a problem with Aaron necessarily, but Jessel's doing too much. Like Aaron, I think, knows who everybody is. And while she, yeah,
Starting point is 00:15:40 maybe didn't watch any of the earlier seasons, and she doesn't really care that much, she's also not putting her foot in her mouth. Jessel is. And I think that that's more of like, uh, I don't know. It's sort of just like a picker poison. Like what would you rather have somebody who just doesn't really care and like shows seemingly shows reverence?
Starting point is 00:15:57 Or do you want somebody like Jessel who's like, I'm a housewife? I can just say whatever the hell I want and then back it up a little bit. And I don't really have to worry about it, especially in this situation because it's just a one episode thing. But I still just, I find Jessel doing still a little too much. And it's something that we talked about in Roney and we'll probably talk about it tomorrow when we cover Roney. But I don't know. I don't want to say she's in the Vicky era. of two flops because she's not part of this show. But I found this ultimate girl's trip performance from Jessel,
Starting point is 00:16:26 huge flop, did not care for it at all. I agree. And that's again, and that's kind of our gripe with her in Roney. She thinks that she is like up here. Like she thinks she is the Grand Dame of New York. And she is not.
Starting point is 00:16:42 But it comes off that way on screen. It comes off that way at this party. Mind you, we are at the Roney celebration of 20 years of housewives. you have all of the heavy hitters other than Sonia. She's not there. Ramona's not there because she's racist. But Jill Zarin's there somewhere.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Jalzeron actually did get a quick Jill cut, which I was like, oh my God, I couldn't believe she was there actually. I thought she was, I don't know. I honestly thought she was completely blacklisted. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:17:06 whoa, I did too. I thought you could have just used a different scene. You didn't need to do that. I was as surprised as you were. But to walk in that room with your nose turned up like your shit don't stink with this crew to talk to Dorinda about her. costume, yeah, like, sure, Durinda hammers the same notes over and over again, especially in these last
Starting point is 00:17:25 few years of her trying to get back into the limelight in any way, shape, or form. She does the same shit, right? Yeah. You know she's going to wear the iconic costume. You know she's going to talk about how iconic it was. The best part about that scene is she's like, it was one of the most iconic scenes of Housewives, or ever. Just ever.
Starting point is 00:17:44 In the history of anything, most iconic scene was my costume. in the history of everything but like that's the delusion that you buy into with people like that and that's this is such a different situation than going back to the white party and at kiles like i felt like all of the older beverly hills maybe it's just because we've seen more of the new york uh older housewives so when they're on screen it's not like oh my god they're oh wow look at you you you're doing too much so i think that's part of it so maybe if we had like a little bit more exposure to the Beverly Hills, the older Beverly Hills housewives. But I still just find all of the New York ones so charming.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Like just pop up and do whatever the hell you want. I don't care. I agree. I completely agree. Now, Carol shows up with Stephen Tyler. And I'd be remiss not to mention. Remember when he dated a 15 year old? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:38 I remember that. Yeah, it's a lot. But I sure remember that. That's all I help us in that category. Yeah, you sure can. you sure can. And you could also, fuck it.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Yeah, that one was, he went and asked his parents or her parents. I got date your 14 year old. Stephen Tyler's was, wasn't his, the custody one? Like I'll take custody of your child.
Starting point is 00:19:03 That was. Is that someone else? So the three that come to mind, Elvis, Stephen Tyler, and Jerry Lee Lewis, great balls of fire guy. He dated a 15,
Starting point is 00:19:16 year old. I believe that he did take because I think it was his niece. I remember that correctly. You look at it up? Yeah, I'm looking it up right now, trying to figure it out. Yeah, you're likely thinking of Stephen Tyler, who legally became the guardian of a 16 year old girl and then married her. Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Mm-mm. Nope. Nope. And I especially would not have done that. Hypothetically, if I was on the Epstein list, I probably would not then show up with somebody that dated a 16-year-old. Just saying, hypothetical.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Just saying, yeah, frequently referred to in the media and in Tyler's own memoir as his teen bride, though they were never legally married. Oh, brutal. Yeah, good job, Carol. Yeah. Yeah, she's like, I look just like him. I know him very well. Stop. Nope.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Stop. Stop doing it. Doing it again. We already have a lot of questions, Carol. That's not helping anything. Yeah, I thought it was very ironic that she showed up at Stephen. I don't know. It's all on the thing about that. But let's get on stage for the magician performance.
Starting point is 00:20:22 This dude, I was blown away. What a performance. I don't know. How do you do that? Chanel also giving the commentary during this. I thought that she was doing too much other times. Her commentary during this, actually I take that back. I think she's kind of funny with the whole time, now that I'm thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:20:41 But especially during this, when she's sitting there going, you'll never know mine. because we try to do it to Teresa. Teresa is doing exactly what Kyle's saying, everyone in the audience is saying. She's trying to guess what he's thinking. Yeah. She's like for like two minutes, silence. And she's like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:01 I don't know. I don't, I can't get it. What is it? Who is we? I honestly, weirdly enough, the way that I viewed this scene, I think Chanel saw Teresa just struggling so much and felt really bad and was like, you know what, let me step in and I'll just take this.
Starting point is 00:21:16 over and Teresa can get out of the spotlight. I'm starting to feel bad. So I, Chanel, I love, I love I on. I'm not really convinced that I want her on a show and I want to like watch a show of hers for 18 weeks a year. But her popping in and I think we even had this discussion too when Dubai was falling apart. And we love Chanel and we knew that there were pieces that we could kind of piece together for her.
Starting point is 00:21:40 I think we even proposed putting her on an ultimate girl's trip. Like have her be an ultimate girl's trip person. have her show up and do a crappy lake type of show every once in a while and just get her on her screens because she is a star but she's not a star in the sense of like all right she can carry an entire show so i had no problems with chel pretty much this entire episode yeah as soon as i said that i started to think about i was actually you know what i rescind that comment what i will say if you put her on a not housewife show i'm in like a structure of like a southern charm or something like that where it's more ensemble and more people i think she would thrive in that kind of environment. If they can do something like that and plug and play Ion, I think we got something there. But the dude getting Ruth,
Starting point is 00:22:27 still like I'll never understand the shit works. I know there's a trick to it, but it just blows my mind every time. But the best part about this whole thing, after that, he somehow levitates Luan. I'm assuming it was in on this because he talked about it so much later. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Levitates Luan. I know with the line possibly of the entire series. That man would be burning in my village. Mm-hmm. I lolled very hard. The white devil. Yeah. That guy would be burning.
Starting point is 00:23:00 No, and she had a couple of really good one-liners, too. Like, that white man doesn't know me. He's not going to know anything. You're right. He shouldn't. But somehow he does. I don't really understand how any of this works. But yeah, Luan was absolutely on that.
Starting point is 00:23:13 And given her love of having, like being suspended in the sky, I'm sure that this was probably part of her idea too. Like, all right, what we're going to do. We're going to be really, yeah, we're going to levitate me. But I actually have fitted in all of my costumes a couple of little hooks. She has a harness in every costume. She has a harness in every costume in case she has to be suspended from the ceiling or out in the sky at Kyle's. It doesn't really matter where she is.
Starting point is 00:23:40 She's always ready. and that's what we appreciate about louan she brings her ropes to you wherever she's at just two guys always ready to suspend her from some sort of yeah that's actually very funny i would be surprised but no i i i was honestly i was half kidding about that one yeah that like 40 percent kidding honestly but that takes us to luan's speech now the most shocking thing is this is the diary when i started cabaret in 2018 so she's only been doing cabaret for eight years, which is, that's astounding to me. I just figured that she always did it since she was like a child has been in cabaret. So that was funny to me. You've got your favorite blanket,

Starting point is 00:28:19 Her going through her list, and this is where I know she's annoying to this cast. Like, I get it. But you have to, at least in this moment, like, let her, just let her have it. Let her have this moment. She's probably been gearing up for this speech for a month. Like, this is my moment. I'm going to stand up in front. You know it's going to be long-winded.
Starting point is 00:28:42 You know she's going to try to pull out these funny jokes and tricks that aren't going to land, but she's going to think they're great. Just let it rock. That's all. Like, eye on in the back, making the comments, again, I do think it's kind of funny. But everybody else that's on the ultimate girl's trip, grin and bear it for a half an hour, please. And then give her some shit. Let her have this one.
Starting point is 00:29:05 But that's, I feel like, the complex nature of an ultimate girl's trip and having all of these big housewife personalities all together. they are definitely annoyed at Luan overall. They're also a little annoyed because they do think that she's taking the spotlight from the rest of them by doing this whole long speech. And also they know at the end of the day, no matter what they say, it's good for the show. Like that's kind of what's going on. So at the end, like I really don't mind it at the end of the day. Like I don't think I'm going to feel bad for Luanne in any sense. I think it just is what it is.
Starting point is 00:29:36 It's just part for the course with the show. But this is kind of what you expect. And it gets to that point in every ultimate girl's trip where they do get tired of one another. It just seems like on this one in particular, it's just kind of spearheaded at Luan because she is by far in a way the most annoying. And because she is such a big presence, she takes up everything else. Like we don't have anything else going on in terms of the group necessarily. Like the Lisa thing over with very quickly.
Starting point is 00:30:02 The Vicky thing, she got a little drunk over with pretty much right away. The only lasting thing has just been, I'm kind of annoyed at Luan. She's kind of annoying me. It seems like everywhere we go, she says something, and I always have an issue with it. And now we're in New York. And I've just hit my edge. And I feel like that's kind of where we are with her. So I'm okay with it overall.
Starting point is 00:30:20 I think it's fine. But Louanne's not going to stop giving a speech because she looks around the room and sees people looking at her like, hey, stop. She's going to keep going. She's actually going to go longer now. She's going to try to find the thing that's going to pull the speech back together. So you're going to stand there and watch as she tries to find that ace in the hole that's like, bam.
Starting point is 00:30:38 And then everybody's locked back in. which is not going to happen. So you're going to see her just making more and more jokes, walking over to people and making more jokes. The worst thing it could have done, anybody, you can't show up late. You just can't do it because you know it's going to be a big thing. Do I blame Portia?
Starting point is 00:30:57 No, it's snowing in New York. You had a fit change. Your Uber got blocked by an ambulance. It's fine. And like I am all four costume changes, you know, changing your fit, all of that. That's why we watch these shows. If you want to go, you have six outfits for one evening, great. Go put all them on.
Starting point is 00:31:13 I don't have an issue with it. But you know, damn well, you're going to catch some shit for it. Sure enough, walks back in. Luan takes a shot at Porsche. Porsche does apologize. Then because the speech at this juncture was 33 minutes in, that's when we get the cut to Jill Zarin, by the way, is 33 minutes into the speech. Get the cut to Jill Zeran.
Starting point is 00:31:36 And that's when Porsche is still talking. and Luan goes over there to talk to her. Ion steals the mic. 35 minutes in, Ion steals the mic. Give me that. And then she starts talking. Then Luan does something I didn't think she was ever going to do.
Starting point is 00:31:52 She gives up the mic. She doesn't even fight for it. She's like, ha, I have other things to deal with. And then she turns her sights on Porsche and gets in her face, which Porsche is not going to take any shit from you, Lou. And she doesn't.
Starting point is 00:32:05 She says, sit your ass down. Like, back the fuck up. this is going to go the way you think it's going to go. And that's when it's really funny to me personally, because Portia is not going to be fucked with. She did apologize. She's not going to sit there and let you berate her after she apologized. She'll let you embarrass her on the microphone,
Starting point is 00:32:25 which you were trying to do. I'm on Team Portia for that one. But Luann, she thinks that she is such a star. How dare anybody disrespect me at my party in New York City? into a mob boss in my town. You gotta fucking disrespect me on my fucking town. Can you believe this shit? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:32:47 And goes on a fucking tear, which is only going to do two things. One, it's gonna be very entertaining. Two, you guys thought you were annoyed with the WAND before? This is why you should have grinned and bared this shit. It's going to go from 10 to 1,000 now, because she is going to have to get her point across. And she's going to annoy everybody incessantly
Starting point is 00:33:08 while thinking she's in the right. Yeah. Not only that, you have to understand what your next spot on the trip is. You're going to Dorinda's. Do you not think that Derinda's going to give Luan another platform to keep going? Like, that's exactly what we're going to do.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And I do think, yes, I think the sprinter van or whatever they end up taking, the mode of transportation they end up taking up to the Berkshires, is probably going to be a little rough for Luann, and she's going to act like she has a leg to stand on. And it seems like she kind of pushes back a little bit here in there, but she's not really going to get it. She might get a little sad.
Starting point is 00:33:42 She might get a little downtrodded, but she's going to bop right back. That's what makes a showgirl great. That's what makes Luanne great. She's going to come right back. She's got another thing planned for Bluestone Manor. She's definitely going to be suspended from the ceiling for that one too. And you guys are all just going to have to deal with it. Like, it's, I'm really
Starting point is 00:33:58 curious to see how it goes, knowing that it's over. Like, yes, they are going to start talking about it and keep talking about it. But I don't know if it's really going to come to shove at that. juncture because it's over like we're done way this is your last stop do you want to be a housewife that just actually goes and capitalizes on the moment and goes after lewin here and has a big moment at blue seven matter or are you so tired because this was the longest two weeks of your
Starting point is 00:34:23 life with lewanne that you're just going to mail it in and go find your friends at this party because there's a million housewives here jazelle's going to show up to work as she always does as she always uh Porsche will probably be in and then as the party goes on. She's going to realize this is the last night. Like, what am I doing? I'm going to have fun. Jazel's definitely going to show up and give it to Luann.
Starting point is 00:34:45 I think what we're going to see, and I don't even know if this is probably mildly intentional, it just gives you like eight different topics for squash the beef at BravoCon. There's going to be like, let's bring up the ultimate girls trip ladies. And they're just going to do this and like, how are you guys now? That'll be essentially the, we, oh, that's what's going to happen. They're going to do a panel at BravoCon. That's the ultimate girls trip. quote unquote reunion and we'll hash it out there.
Starting point is 00:35:10 That would be my guess. Yeah, that'll probably end up happening. Something along those lines. Let us mediate or whatever. What is it? Yeah, we can mediate. Moderate. Moderate.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Yeah, we can definitely moderate that one. Yeah, you're probably right. I think that's the best way to do it. See what's going on because we always get our best little sound clips that we can use for different seasons as we go forward. So yeah, I'm imagining that's probably what's going to end up happening. But either way, I think that this. was it was inevitable obviously but i don't really understand like how else it was going to go like
Starting point is 00:35:45 otherwise why did we get that scene with them talking about it like with chiselle and portia talking about going after luan when were you going to do it were you going to do it at this party obviously that kind of went haywire because luan did a bunch of different things in portia was two hours late but it was going to happen regardless so i want to know what the original plan was like were you just going to have a nice sit down with her and discuss her antics or were you planning on doing this on a big stage because If you were planning on the big stage, there's your big stage. You got to do it now. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:36:13 But we got to see the talent show, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Teresa with the saxophone was just unreal. So fucking funny. I loved that. L.B, of course, is rapping. And this is my LB is so great. That was corny as shit. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:36:30 It was a 10 out of 10. Because this is where the Luan showgirl comes in in, in LB. She thinks that she's killing it. Genuinely, she thinks that she can rap. When she's saying, like,
Starting point is 00:36:43 I'm from New York, of course, I can fucking rap. That's not a joke. She's dead ass serious. Like, yes, no,
Starting point is 00:36:50 I know how to rap. Why? Do you want to hear? Like, if you beatboxed and said, L.B, drop it, she would rap.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Like, I promise you. She would definitely wrap. I'm surprised she didn't sing her song, but I guess she probably didn't. She hadn't released the song yet because that didn't come out until in the summer and this is like January.
Starting point is 00:37:09 We are close enough to Christmas that I was half expecting Jesus in a manger. I was really expecting that, but we didn't end up getting that one. Yeah, Jesus in a manger, but we didn't get that. So I don't really know. I think this is kind of what you expect from LB and I got really excited about that. I will also give all kinds of props. Again, Alex McCord, great showing. The Herman Monster Shoes on the hand and the Raygun callout.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Real. Very good. Very, very good stuff. I also just love like this is, this is what you get with a group of women like this. Alex being in the nominations for even being in the top three and the rest of the group, not just one or two or the rest of the group,
Starting point is 00:37:54 clearly groaning. Like, she's not even part of this cast. How can't she even be up? She can't win a prize at the end of the day? No, you can't give her that. Who cares? It doesn't really matter. They really do it.
Starting point is 00:38:06 That's what makes them so great. But everybody watching it, I was like, yeah, all right. We haven't seen Alex in a long time. That was actually kind of funny. And she was using the Herman Munster shoes at the same time. So it was a good prop work going into the Raygun thing. I appreciated it. But at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.
Starting point is 00:38:19 To them, really matters. And I like that. She didn't even go here like that. That's what it was. My favorite part of the Raygun thing was the fact that you get Giselle and Portia just L and Portia sitting there. And I was like, it's guys got weird. it's got a stranger and Porsche was like I'm just going with it.
Starting point is 00:38:41 This subtitle that was what in the white people. That's what was going on. Like this is white people shit we're watching right now and it was. And it was very funny. Like the Alex McCourt thing, I thought that all in all, you know, she's got a very interesting reputation.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Obama. She doesn't have a bad reputation. It's just strange. Mm-hmm. This was about as good as you could have done like for anybody to come back on. So I will give her a lot of props. I thought that she handled herself very well. A lot of good callbacks.
Starting point is 00:39:07 It wasn't forced. She was able to drop it in. I felt bad for her when she pulls out the Herman Monster cake because the Wad at this point has gone off the rails. Yeah. Because of the photograph situation because we've got everybody is taking a picture. Teresa brings it home with the saxophone. I do think Alex McCord should have won, but I will say she wasn't on the cast or she's not allowed to win. Give it to Teresa.
Starting point is 00:39:29 That's fine. But we're taking our picture and Lou quite literally comes from around the back and steps in the front. town as she says as she walks out there. The problem is she's done this everywhere, not just in New York. And now every, this is the breaking point. God, get the fuck out. I'm sick of it. And everyone is done with it.
Starting point is 00:39:51 And that's when, again, have the conversation. You guys are all in the right. I understand where you're coming from. You're not going to get anywhere with this one because of the timing. because it is New York and she should be in the middle and now she has that hill to die on you're never going to get your point through.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Nobody's going to crack through the way out of him but she's not going to be like, oh, okay, I see what you're saying. She'd be like, nope, two hours late, my town, disrespect, my picture, Miami, I put Marisol and Alexia in the middle, go back to Atlanta and then Kyle, who again, has had a great showing. It's like, well, yeah, because we told you to move.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Yeah, I know. And it's really funny too because at first I'm like, Oh shit. Is she right? Did she actually do that? And you see that they are actively moving her out of the way. Like, yes, maybe you had Alexia, or yeah, you had Alexia Marisol somewhere in the front, but you were right next to them. You go to Atlanta. Yeah, I had Needy in the front, but you were right next to Needy. So let's not just do all these things. It was the best thing ever because in Luan's mind, she was giving up the middle to them, but she was still middling. So it does work both ways. You're never going to be able to convince Luan that she didn't do that on purpose and she wasn't doing the right thing. She never sat on the outside, yeah, but she's still not letting people, or she's still letting people get in the middle that aren't part of this. So I don't know. Good luck we're arguing with that when you're arguing with a wall. The begrudging, fine.
Starting point is 00:41:17 When they're like, no, come on. Okay, get in the middle. She's like, I will get in the middle. I'm going to smile ear to ear, but I'm not done. They take the picture. The only one that looked mad, by the way, was LB, who is actually kind of team, not team Luan, but she's the only kind of supporter of Luan at this moment.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Yeah. And that's when shit just falls apart because she's talking to Porsche mid photo. I tried to write down as many things as I could that she was saying. I won't stand down because I don't do that. Oh, Kyle starts telling her, hey, our only issue, because Porsche then throws out that everybody has an issue with you. And they're all going to deal with it on their own terms. Kyle doesn't like that because she's like, whoa, our only issue is you wanting to be front and center. Like you talk a lot in your front and center all the time.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Oh, behind my back. Well, I'm a show girl. And I feel the tide turning and I know the tide. Why? Because you're dressed like a pirate. Oh, God. She's so great. Like, she thinks about these things on the fly, too.
Starting point is 00:42:19 Like the responses are so like 1920s musical. And it's just so good that she keeps doing this. And this is just how her brain works. Like the responses are incredible. They're phenomenal. not done. Don't worry, guys, because Kyle, who is now trying to play mediator is like, you are a show.
Starting point is 00:42:38 You are a show girl. Yeah, I agree. You are, you are a show girl, but when we're Atlanta, you know, like, maybe let Portia not able to finish the sentence. Maybe let Porsche, she arrived two hours late to my party. She missed me levitating. She missed the whole party.
Starting point is 00:42:53 She has no idea who she's dealing with. No way. No way. She has to get class. This is all different people, by the way. She is going around the room saying she was two hours late. Two hours late, can you believe that? Two hours late.
Starting point is 00:43:09 It was fucking amazing. I think this is why she's a star. And again, he said it a thousand times. I get why everyone's irritated. They have every right to be irritated. I would be so annoyed. But I could watch Luann do this for an entire season. And I
Starting point is 00:43:25 would be ecstatic. It should just be Luan and then replace everybody else. Like everybody else who has had a hard time on their show trying to do this or do that or getting the spotlight that finally found their moment. Nope. Guess what? Louan's there.
Starting point is 00:43:39 So you're going to have a hard time. And then they just butt heads the whole time. It's a very good show to do that with. It's perfect. It takes us to the next day. I don't know if she was still a little tuned up. Yes. She has her sunglasses on.
Starting point is 00:43:52 She definitely was. This FaceTime with Dorinda. And mind you, Durinda's going to back Luan. 100%. When she gets to Bluestone manner, like you said earlier, earlier, she's in friendly territory. And Dorinda's 100% going to let her have her moment once again. But she's getting ready to go to the Berkshires.
Starting point is 00:44:10 There's snow on the ground. Everyone else is waiting in the sprinter van. She's debriefing about Porsche being two hours late. She's like, I wanted to take a picture. It's my part. And they push me out of the way and push me down to the end. And she starts crying and goes, I'm upset, really upset. I respect.
Starting point is 00:44:25 I expect to be respected in New York. I levitated for Christ's sake. I can't do it. It's fucking gold. It's so good. And then we get to the van. And that's when everyone starts to kind of jump in on her. Now,
Starting point is 00:44:44 we don't like pile-ups on any show. We don't like gang-ups. This is a necessary evil because this has been kind of pushed to the side for a long time. So we do need to handle this. My hope is that we're able to condense this into the sprinter van. We have a long drive to the park. it's snowing. Let's hash the shit out, get to the Berkshers, and then cause a bunch of different shit. But I want this to be handled here. The thing is, I don't know if that's going to happen because the way Giselle works,
Starting point is 00:45:15 and it usually works, sometimes it doesn't, it usually lands. She's not going to jump in when Porsche is doing her thing. She's going to let Portia do her thing, and she's going to sit there and chime in on Porsche's behalf. when Porsche is done, actually finally done, then Jazeel's going to go in. We saw her do it on the ultimate girl's trip already. When she chimed in, I forget exactly what it was. But that's what she does. That's it. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:45:41 It's a kilo bottle. She's going to do that. So I don't know if we're going to have enough time. Jizel says as much, like we have plenty of time. I hope we do because I would like to get to the Berkshers clean slate, ideally. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's just the wild card of Luanna. You never really know what you're going to get.
Starting point is 00:46:01 We already kind of see it in the beginning when she's sitting there. Like she's looking for help. And if she gets a crack in anyone's armor or she's talking to Teresa or LB, who don't really have an issue and they weren't really part of any of this, like you don't go to Vicky. Vicki's just going to spiral out. Vicki's got emails to answer, actually. So she's not even listening.
Starting point is 00:46:19 Yeah, she's on the phone. That one's going to be a lot harder. But I do think she's going to do the thing where she looks around for any support. She doesn't get any support. Then she starts blaming all of them for not supporting her. So it could go a number of different ways. One of those ways is probably, at least in my brain, is not, okay, I'll concede. You know what?
Starting point is 00:46:36 You're right. Maybe that was a little too much for you guys. We're not going to get that. So if we get somewhere in the middle, I think that's good. And I think that Giselle's going to have to temper her whole strategy for all of this, because you are right. Once Portia gets it all out, Porsche will be done. She'll be good.
Starting point is 00:46:51 They would have moved on. But Giselle probably still has other things to nitpick at. don't do too much. Nip pick a little bit. I think nitpicking is fine because we want to get your message across, but I don't think that she's going to stop, and especially in a car ride for that long. I don't know how much screen time we're going to get about this,
Starting point is 00:47:07 like probably a good 15 minutes in the beginning of the episode. I would guess. But the rest of it is the party. So we do need to do other things when we get to the party. We can't do this the whole time. So to your point, hopefully it gets squashed at least to the point where there's not so much contention when we get up there that they're not even hanging out at that point.
Starting point is 00:47:23 I would think that at least most of the party is going to be fun, and then we'll get a bunch of shit talking about everyone else's individual casts throughout the party, if I had to guess. But I don't know. I mean, the big thing, again for me is because of when they decided to bring this up in the photo in New York, you are going to have a really hard time getting this one through Luann's head because she just feels like this is an isolated incident in New York. I know you're telling her that she did it everywhere else, but she doesn't give a shit because she's so focused on New York now
Starting point is 00:48:03 that she's going to say things like, I'm sorry you feel that way. Which, as we know in the Housewives world, does not work. It's going to cause more shit. Yeah, it doesn't equate to an apology. And I feel like with this group of women, everybody wants to be heard,
Starting point is 00:48:17 everybody wants their feelings addressed. And I don't think Lou Ann's the person to do that. Nope. She certainly isn't. She's great for a lot of other things, though. Yes. Let's see what the audience has to say about it. See if they're enjoying Luann as much as we are.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Yeah, I hope so. From Mike Burroughs. Anyone else get Luann's season 11 vibes that ended with B take down meltdown in Miami? Yeah, but it's really just it's a different, like we have way more time at that point. We don't have much more time. So I get the vibes for sure. It's not going to play out. We don't have enough time for it to play out how it actually should.
Starting point is 00:48:57 There's going to be sort of like an expedited apology slash concession that's going to happen, which I would love to have more time. Like let this keep going. I'm cool with another. If they did a full season of this, I would be stoked. They have not missed. None of these episodes have been bad.
Starting point is 00:49:13 Like the early episodes were a little bit slower, but that's just because we were getting everyone acclimated. They weren't even bad. But this season has been just a banger. Like I'm very impressed. with the product. Yeah. From Andre Drew 1.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Does Luan talking as long as she did negate Porsche being late? Kind of. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, kind of does. But good luck convincing Luan that. Yep. Two hours late, by the way.
Starting point is 00:49:39 Two hours late now. Oh, see, here you go. Shoshi Davis. You're on our team. Can Bravo just create a show where Aon travels to every housewife city and start shit? Yes. Please. we're in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Yeah. Great call. Just have her be the ultimate wild card. And you never know when she's going to show up, but she just pops up in the middle of seasons in different cities. Yeah. Great. Yeah, that's good. I actually kind of on the heels of that from It's Holly Hala.
Starting point is 00:50:08 We need more Chanel Ion spicing it up or commenting on other housewife cities. I think that she, a good place for her to be, would throw her into an after show because I think she watches a lot of the shows. Throw her into an after show and let her make her comment. on there. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Oh, you know what? Have her host the after show. Yeah. There you go. That'd be a great move because I love Ion. From Blacksmith Trev,
Starting point is 00:50:37 people online aren't enjoying Ultimate Girl's Trip because it's too chaotic, not properly produced. I agree. However, sometimes it's nice to just watch chaos unfold. Yeah. I think that this was, this is,
Starting point is 00:50:49 from a production standpoint, this is a massive, massive undertaking to have this many Marquis Housewives go from city to city to city over two weeks and try to get this into a 10 episode season. Like it doesn't really make any sense. A nine episode season. Try, I would have expected maybe expanded a little bit like get Miami a full episode, get New York, a full episode, have your maybe two episodes at the end where we kind of hash everything out and we're in the Berkshires. Things like that make the most sense. Like editing this has to be an absolute nightmare.
Starting point is 00:51:23 So yes, I think it is a little too chaotic. I think that they needed a little bit more time. I don't know the ins and outs of how they select how many episodes get to throw into a season. But I agree with the chaos. I just, the way that we do it, again, we always talk about this. The way we're doing it, we're unpacking like everything in the episode. So it allows us to kind of understand more what's going on and spend more time on it. But if you're just the average watch or just sitting down and watching it, like, yeah, you don't know what the hell is going on, which is good.
Starting point is 00:51:49 if you have background noise, bad if you're really invested to find out what's going on in like Teresa's life because we're not really talking about that. No, and I think the biggest thing to remember is what I agree with you, sometimes it's nice to just watch chaos unfold. Trev, good call. But I think with a show like this, a lot of it probably has to do with production cost because the travel, the filming on locations, and on top of that, you have to pay these contracts to the biggest names in the housewife realm currently.
Starting point is 00:52:23 So like it's not going to be cheap. And you know damn well that they had to pay everybody a good amount of money and probably similar pay because if one housewife finds out that Kyle Richards is making $400,000 more than they are, they're going to be fucking livid. So I would imagine that they were probably constrained due to just cost of this whole thing. But, you know, I think if you watch it through the realm or through the lens of like, this is a celebration of a lot of the moments that we all fell in love with with this show and these shows. And we get to go and see some of the housewives of old.
Starting point is 00:53:02 You get to see some of these iconic moments. You get to see all of that come together in a cohesive enough show. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I think that they did, as far as ultimate girls trips go, this was by far and away the best one. I think the nostalgia factor for me negates any of the confusion and the chaos. I don't care because I'm getting Luann, peak Luan, I'm getting funny Dorinda moments. I'm getting even in Beverly Hills. You know, we had a couple of funny ones there.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Obviously, we had Camilla trying too hard, but you're going to get that too. But overall, I've really enjoyed it. I'm not going to lie. Yeah, I have two. We'll do one or two more if I can find some good ones in here. Ryan Stomond, 83. Am I the only one who thought that this was a shit episode? Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Probably not. I mean, I'm sure other people thought it was a shit episode. I thought it was great. There was no qualms on this part. But based on what Blacksmith Trev said, I'm assuming you're not the only one, Ryan, for once. No, you are. Oh, God. How we can end on this one?
Starting point is 00:54:09 This is going to end on. Here go. Well, it's Holly Hala. You got another one. didn't know how much I needed Alex McCord as Raygun with the Herman Munster shoes. I don't think any of us did. No, no,
Starting point is 00:54:22 it's all appreciated it. Yeah, I think that's why it hit as hard as it did because the Reagan call out hysterical, having the Herman Monster shoes play a part in it, even better. It was good. Even better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:34 And for like a one off housewife making a cameo, most of them haven't gotten much screen time. Alex got a lot of screen time because she was entertaining. Like leave it at that. Yep. Didn't try too hard. But I'm going to be sad to see this one go. We got one more episode.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Like I said, I hope we're able to wrap up the Luann drama on the ride there. And then we can just go do other shit at the house. I don't want to get stuck on one thing for the last episode of the season. And I don't want to see it just be a pile up on Luann or anybody. I want to see them all have fun. I want to see them all go talk shit about their respective cast. So I want to see Aaron apparently causing all of the shit.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Bass dress. Yeah. when we have to, at least we'll get some context for why they both suck this season. But yeah, great show. But that's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. Well, that's our show.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Bro, bro. Bros. right here. Reality TV is messy. Pop culture is louder than ever. And the internet. Completely unhinged. Welcome to Roxanne and Chantelle, the podcast where Cousinsins,
Starting point is 00:55:40 Roxanne and Chantel break down reality TV, celebrity drama, and the stories everyone's texting about. We recap the shows, spill the headlines, and sit down with the stars themselves. No filter, no boring takes, just the tea. New episodes every week. If it's trending, we're talking about it. This is Roxanne and Chantelle. Let's get into it. The tutors were probably the most scandalous dynasty in British history.
Starting point is 00:56:07 The season of vulgar history were spilling the tea on the tea on the this messy, messed up family and the people who had to live through it all. Anne Boleyn and the other wives of Henry VIII are known today from the musical Six, but who were they really? Did any of them actually want to marry him? Henry the Eight, the man who was literally the worst? How did two of them manage to escape with their heads intact? We'll also get into historical mysteries,
Starting point is 00:56:30 like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays, who was the real Bloody Mary? What was happening elsewhere in the world while the tutors were trampling all over England, like the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke colony, and the true story of the girl known as Pocahontas. I'll be joined by tutor historians, experts, and a few of my friends who really hate Henry the 8th
Starting point is 00:56:48 to learn all about the tutors this season on Vulgar History. Because it's fucking Henry the 8th all day, every day. Listen to Vulgar History wherever you get podcasts.
