Bros & Shows - TJ Drops a Bomb about Joe Bradley (Southern Hospitality Full Recap)

Episode Date: January 22, 2025

What's up Bros? We're back with Southern Charm which is arguably one of the better shows on Bravo right now. In this episode, the gang gears up to head to Lake's family house on Lake Wylie. Brad and L...ake continue to flirt a little bit as things are starting to heat up. Joey Bottles hangs with Maddi's family and it seems like mom and dad are big Joe Bradley fans. Although it appears Maddi isn't quite at the same place Joe is yet. Michol's sits down with Emmy to go over her freak out at Republic. Emmy and Siobhan bury the hatchet but Siobhan doesn't take a whole lot of accountability for the whole thing. Will sits down with Brad and TJ and admits to talking trash about Emmy at Republic but claims that its projecting work frustrations and that hes seen 'studies' that venting about your partner is actually healthy... Things escalate quite a bit when the crew gets to the lake and TJ drops an absolute bomb about Joe Bradley and why the relationship is so contentious at the moment... and it is not just because of the Luann drama... its not that at all. Starting point is 00:01:00 This has quickly become one of my favorite shows. We've talked about the fact that we have ties to it just because we started when they started off and watching them grow into this season has been really entertaining and really fun, but it's becoming just a good show, like all of that stuff aside, the gimmick of a new show, like you said, getting past the, oh, it's like early VPR, which was enticing to get people to start watching it, but this is a different thing. And this is a great fucking show. Yeah, it's a crazy, I guess, meeting, like some sort of intersection of a lot of different personalities on this show.
Starting point is 00:01:34 And I think that's what makes it so great because we can see that a lot of these people know each other and they've known each other for a long time. And it works for a great dynamic. And it also brings up old shit that they never dealt with because it works really good for TV. And that's what we start to see in this episode, which is just insane. So this is one of those shows that we look forward to every single week, not only watching, but also talking. about it, and then we talk about it in the interim, too. So, bros and shows, I got to have me my bros and shows, bros and shows, bros and shows. Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Bros and Shows.
Starting point is 00:02:15 I am your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only, the incorrigible Goots. What's up, dude? I am dreading, waking up early, and going to work tomorrow. It's probably going to be very cold. And guess who didn't clean off his car because he lives in the city and didn't feel like walking all the way over to his car
Starting point is 00:02:32 to go clean it off? So I'm going to have a great morning tomorrow. That sounds horrible. What time do you have to wake up for work? I'll probably add another 20 minutes to it. So I'll probably be at like 630, 6.40. What time you'd be at your car cleaning the snow off? What time is that?
Starting point is 00:02:49 7.45. That is horrible. It's going to be like 7 degrees. Yeah. Not looking forward to it. Not looking at any. forecasts but you know I like to live in the moment and the moment right now is southern hospitality and that's what I want to live in good transition way to take your mind off of I will say and then
Starting point is 00:03:07 we'll get into soho I went to the gym this morning at 8 a.m. and it was 6 degrees and I was fucking miserable I even started my truck like 15 minutes early and it was still too cold when I got in but yeah that's neither here nor there that happens it's so ho time sorry I got distracted by I always forget you guys have other jobs. Yeah, unfortunately, Cindy, we're trying to only do this. We're getting closer. But this was one of the crazier episodes. The whole episode itself was pretty par for the course.
Starting point is 00:03:37 What we've gotten used to with this show. The ending was wild. Obviously, I'm not going to spoil it right now. But I was baffled by the last 10 minutes of this. And the funny thing is I started watching this. I got 32 minutes in on the nose. It was that scene with Emmy, Will, and Maddie. and then I paused it because we decided to do this one tonight.
Starting point is 00:03:59 So I finished it not that long ago. And I had no idea what was waiting for me in those last 10 minutes. Yeah, those last 10 minutes, the buildup was incredible. There was a lot more of the same that we're used to. And then it just had a different feel. I don't know if they used different music. They used different production value. Whatever they were doing in those last 10 minutes led to a crazy reveal at the very end.
Starting point is 00:04:21 That I didn't see it coming. I don't know why. But somebody already clipped. it. And I kind of saw it in passing online and it was before it even aired. Somebody had already clipped it and I guess Bravo released it a while ago. I don't know where the hell it came from. But I didn't think anything of it. I completely forgot about it because I was so enthralled in this episode. I was so stuck just watching. I felt like I was there. And I don't know how they did it. But I felt like I was in that pool with them. Hats off to them. Hats off
Starting point is 00:04:49 to production. We like to give production props when they do a good job. They're just few and far between are the production companies that are doing a good job. But yeah, they do a nice job with this show. And it was, it was a very, we use this word a lot recently. I guess it's the word we're stuck on, but it was like cinema. It was cinematic as you're going through that last 10 minutes. But let's get into this episode so that we don't jump the gun, as they say. And we start out with just a little Brad and Lake check-in.
Starting point is 00:05:16 I'm only doing this because I'm curious where this is going to go, if it's going to go anywhere. We know Brad to be the flirt of the group. He likes to, you know, cast a wide net. So he's interested in Lake. Lake's interested in him. I don't know if the Lakehouse is going to change things. It seems to enter his mind when they make it there because the house is fucking insane. But just a quick check in with them.
Starting point is 00:05:40 And moving on from that, we get TJ and Mia. And is this her role this year? We're going to face time Mia and give you the rundown of what we're going to do. We talked about this. it all hinges on whether or not I guess she gets to the next round of is it miss universe or miss world or it's one of those world i believe now she had said she's going to be there for at least a month so the way that uh the season goes she could come back what is this episode five maybe so i could see her coming back like nine or ten if she doesn't make it to the next round if she does then yeah
Starting point is 00:06:13 she is going to be on face time for the entire season which makes no sense to me because we're not really getting a lot more information she's just giving us updates on her life, but you're not there. You're just on FaceTime with TJ. I don't get a whole lot out of that. So she must be coming later in the season. For her to still be in the show, they know that she does come back. So they're keeping her relevant so that we don't forget about her is what I'm thinking.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Perhaps my thing with it now is when we do get the Mia facetimes, it kind of outlines what we're going to talk about in the episode. That's what I've noticed because when they're saying they're talking, they do like the Emmy recap of her losing her shit at the bar. talking about Will drinking outside and sending Joe Bradley in after her. So that's what I get from it. I don't hate it, honestly, especially if she does come back later this season. I do understand it's kind of a question mark. Why is she here? If she's on FaceTime, if she's away for a long time, especially if she doesn't come back.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Then it's, yeah, it's a big question mark. But also doesn't her boyfriend live in Charlotte? So she's going to get back and then check in and then go hang out with her boyfriend for a couple episodes that maybe come back. So I just, we didn't see Mia coming back. after last season. We said that things were going to have to change. She doesn't work at Republic anymore.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Now, neither does Will, but Will is at least, you know, dating somebody who works there. And he's very integral. Neither just G. Lily. But G. Lily is G. She's a free spirit.
Starting point is 00:07:32 She just floats around. We love that. She's a jet setter. And with Mia, it's, I just didn't see a reason for her to come back if she's not going to work a republic. If she's not going to live in Charleston, for sure not.
Starting point is 00:07:41 If she's got a boyfriend in Charlotte, definitely not. And yet here she is on FaceTime. So I'm just a little confused. But it's not, it's not that big of an issue right now because it's just it gives us something to talk about and speculate on that's pretty much it it's not you know something that they keep doing it's not like oh we got to check in with me a three times an episode that would be really weird no i just i like
Starting point is 00:08:03 that they do it in the beginning and like here's what we're going to talk about later but we get joe mattie and mattie's parents and they're having a nice little beach day i was curious what the parents thought of joe bradley because they've been friends for a while obviously i imagine he's met that well they met them at the probably before that but we've seen them interact at the charlotte race yeah they seem to really like jo then they fucking hated trevor but who doesn't yeah so watching them interact it feels like they're ready for joe and mattie to get married mattie's like whoa whoa i'm not quite there yet joe was ready last year to get married to mattie and the funniest thing with him is like when he talked to him in person he always mentions
Starting point is 00:08:45 like i'm with the love of my life everything's amazing which is, it's a beautiful thing, and we're happy for you. But watching them interact with them, I'm wondering if, is that going to help push Maddie to the next stage in their relationship? Or is this going to hinder it? Because now she's feeling too much pressure from her parents, from Joe, from everybody else. The expectations are obviously high because going into this relationship, she knows the stakes are higher because she knows this dude's been in love with her for a while.
Starting point is 00:09:15 I guess my question is, is it too much too fast? because according to Maddie, she's ready to stick to the same life that she has right now, to which Joe counters you want to work a Republican five years? She's like, well, no, and kind of gets tongue tied. I think we're long overdue for a very tough conversation between the two of them that we'll probably see on camera, where they will actually map out a timeline of something, I guess, maybe,
Starting point is 00:09:41 or at least they'll be able to talk about what they want. What's your intention for this? Where do we want to go in the next year, two years, three years, whatever, whatever it might be. And Joe even says this, well, your five-year plan is to be working at Republic still? Like, no, that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. No, I want to live on the beach. I want to do this and that. It doesn't sound like she has a lot of things hammered out.
Starting point is 00:10:00 And why would she? She's young. She's gone through terrible relationships with terrible guys. And now she's with somebody who, as we all know, loves her very much. So it is, there's going to be a lot of growing pains. I thought that it was a little weird that we had a scene with the parents where the parents are very much so. pushing because that's going to give somebody like Joe a lot of false confidence. He's going to come away from that thinking, holy shit, I barely even have to ask your dad
Starting point is 00:10:24 for your hand of marriage. He basically just gave it to me on that beach. How about we get married right now? And he says as much in the confessional, too. Like, I would get married right now if I had to. But I think that they'll be able to come to some sort of compromise because he loves her so much and they'll talk about it. It'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:10:38 It's just going to be a bit of an awkward conversation in the next couple of weeks, I'm sure. It's going to be a little strange. And it cracked me up because she uses sobriety as like, hold out. Whoa, whoa, she goes, I take it one day at a time, you know, because of recovery. I was like, oh, that's not what that means. It's not the same thing. It's not the same thing at all.
Starting point is 00:10:57 It was funny, and she's allowed to say that. It would just, it made me laugh. But Joe's plan is like two years. He's got a two-year timeline. So I'm curious what her response to that is going to be. But Michaels and Emmy have a sit down after we saw the disaster that was the other night at Republic. And I'm just going to say this, and Deb pointed it out as well, just her overall demeanor seems off. Like, she just seems off.
Starting point is 00:11:25 And they even had a clip from last season when they're on the boat and her and Maddie were talking, and they're still at odds. She was so different then. I'm not talking about looks. I'm not talking about that. Just her overall aura, what she's giving off compared to what we see this year is two very different things. And in my head, I think I put it together because she's in this relationship. There's no way that she thinks that Will is as into her or she is into him. So she's dealing with that, quits alcohol, goes big on exercise, arguably too much.
Starting point is 00:11:59 A lot of shifts in life, a lot of shifts in lifestyle. I think you're seeing it all catch up to her. I think that she thought she had her shit figured out. Will coming home, I imagine she had preconceived notions as to what it was going to be like. and I don't think it is that at all. I think he's working a nine to five. I'm sure he dilly dallys around the office because he doesn't want to go home to Emmy because he's an asshole and doesn't like her. So I think that it's all coming to a head.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Well, they don't live together. Oh, that's right. That's even weirder. Yeah. Why? Because he's, I bet. No, I know why. I'm at school.
Starting point is 00:12:30 I'm just going to stay with my parents. Yeah. That's probably what he said. Yeah. That's a thousand percent. Well, I mean, to be fair, he's at school. Of course, he's going to live with his parents. That's not like a why don't they live together type of thing.
Starting point is 00:12:40 They shouldn't live together right now. Why would he not go back to Charleston and stay with her? Why would he pay rent in Charleston when he's in South Carolina or like at school for nine months a year? I'm just saying. It wouldn't make any sense. If he's going to school, if he's traveling to school for nine months of the year living on campus, I wouldn't pay rent in Charleston. Why are you assuming he has to pay rent if he's going to stay with Emmy? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:13:04 What do you want Emmy to foot the bill? She's already staying there. I don't imagine that she would have an issue with her boyfriend. I don't know what her living situation is in a studio. Yeah, so she's fine. Yeah, whatever. What's your logic? What?
Starting point is 00:13:18 I think that there's no reason for him to have an apartment. Like, I wouldn't. If I was dating a girl and I was going to grad school, I was going to law school for nine months. I wouldn't be living with a girlfriend. I'm not, how is this so hard to happen? Is that what we're talking about? What's your issue? I'm saying, why would he not just stay at her place for a couple of months before returning back to campus?
Starting point is 00:13:38 Why do you have to go stay at your... They've been dating for three years. They lived together where he stayed there a lot previously. I think you're expecting too much from Will, too. No, I'm not. I expect him to stay at home. I expect him to use that as an excuse to not be there. You're saying it's rent.
Starting point is 00:13:52 I don't think money has anything to do with it. I think he just doesn't want to be there. That's all. Probably wants his own space. Yeah, he doesn't get there. Your brain just went to, I wouldn't fucking pay rent. I understand my breath. That's not what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:14:02 It's not the same thing, dude. Jesus Christ. But that being said, I do think that last year, last season, what we got from Emmy was somebody who was very secure in her relationship. They'd been dating for a couple of years. He was going to law school. She was going to be married to a lawyer within like two years. That's where she was.
Starting point is 00:14:18 This year, there's a lot of unknowns. There's a lot of questions. Last year, towards the end of the season, we had to deal with the whole is will cheating on Emmy scandal. And everybody's calling it out. She had to go through all of that. And then he left. And then she's alone.
Starting point is 00:14:30 And she still has to deal with that. She's on the show and everything. Because a lot has changed. Yes. And then she stopped drinking. And then she started going. going into working out. There's a lot of lifestyle changes on top of the uncertainty of where the hell is my relationship. I had this whole five year plan planned out. He was going to be a
Starting point is 00:14:47 lawyer. We were going to get married, live happily ever after. I was going to be pregnant in a year. Now it's not looking like that. She's having a hard time coming to grips with it. That's where we're seeing the cracks with everything else going on like you pointed out with the lifestyle changes. As we've seen in other shows, we saw it with Kyle last year too when she stopped drinking and working out all the time. It happens. Pretty much happens to everybody that goes this route. There's something you can really do you can try to figure it out but you're going to have to go through the learning curve we're not seeing the learning curve with emmy right now though she's just bottling up a lot of emotions and then letting them out at crazy times and it's making her look psychotic
Starting point is 00:15:19 and that's where we are yeah it's not a great look and that's what this whole conversation with michael's is about to the point that he had to go to leva and tell her uh jeez to the point that they had to go to leva and tell her about it and the only reason that she gets her reprieve is because she's been so dedicated over the past couple of years. So she's like, look, just have a conversation with her. This can't happen again. Obviously, she can't be acting like that at a place of business. That's insane.
Starting point is 00:15:45 But I do always appreciate Michael's demeanor because they are close friends, but at the same time, he's like, look, at the end of the day, I'm your boss. Like, this shit can't happen again. And she apologizes. But what I did not see coming, and this just shows you her state of mind at the moment. I felt so bad for Will. What? Why?
Starting point is 00:16:07 He was actively avoiding you. And he threw gas on the fire when he came in there and questioned whether or not you were stealing. He didn't back you up. He said, you're not doing that, right? Question mark. No, dickhead. What the fuck? That's your girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Even if she is, he out for. He works a nine to five. He has to go to school. He gets a few hours out of the day and I had to ruin it with my emotions. Poor Will. Poor, poor, sweet, innocent will. this guy like come on man he's not even hiding the fact that he doesn't like you he's telling everybody in charleston he's probably got a list at school that he hits up when he gets back check his dms for god's sakes like this guy's sketchy as shit no you should feel bad for will and even michael says he goes to confession he's like i have no idea what to say like he's stunned at this thing so we get more out of michael's the first time that he ever met will or had an interaction with was when he came blacked out to Republic.
Starting point is 00:17:04 And he has a list of things. He said, I hate her body. I hate this relationship. She's boring when she's not drinking. So, to me, she's so stuck on the lifestyle.
Starting point is 00:17:19 I want this. I want the white picket fence, the lawyer husband, five kids. This is the life. And I think that she has such blinders on to anything else that she's just actively avoiding it. There's no way.
Starting point is 00:17:31 anybody I don't know it's such a hard thing to I just don't understand and like this is all we really need to understand is the audience is currently as this is unfolding everybody who's watching this that has no skin in the game is on one side will is probably cheating on you at the very least he does not want to be in a relationship with you and he is done with this whole thing and he's waiting for you to break up with him yes she is actively defending him he deactivated his instagram because he was getting too much she is actively defending him talking about it on every show that she goes on it's sad and it's incredibly weird and that's where she is so that is it's something that we will never understand because it's just not a place that our minds can really get to and she's doing it on the show and she's
Starting point is 00:18:17 still doing it currently so it's pretty i know that's the top part that because he deactivated instagram within the past month or so and she went out on either twitter or something and defended him like everything's fine he just wanted a little bit watch what happens live like everything like it the shame of it all is it just makes her look bad and she's not the villain here you know but it reflects poorly on her it shouldn't but unfortunately it does because you're standing up for this guy there is unequivocal evidence that this man is cheating on you everybody's heard it everybody people have arguably seen it no one goes in the bathroom with another woman to have a cry when you're hanging out drinking.
Starting point is 00:19:00 That's not a thing. And he got past that one. You would think he'd clean up his shit. But no, he goes off to law school and he's canoodling, God knows who there. Then he comes back to- Taking whoever to law prom. Yeah, he's taking whoever to law prom. And he's not even taking him to law prom.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Is that a real thing? It is a real thing. I'd look it up. It's a real thing, yeah. Did he actually take another girl to law prom? I don't know if he did or not. I was just making a joke. I bet he did.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Allegedly. Cumbag. Dirtbag. summer's here and you can now get almost anything you need for your sunny days delivered with Uber Eats what do we mean by almost well you can't get a well-groom lawn delivered but you can get a chicken parmesan delivered a cabana that's a no but a banana that's a yes a nice tan sorry nope but a box fan happily yes a day of sunshine no a box of fine wines yes Uber Eats can definitely get you that get almost almost anything delivered with Uber Eats order now alcohol and select markets product availability may vary by Regency app for details
Starting point is 00:19:57 Oh, hi, buddy. Who's the best? You are. I wish I could spend all day with you instead. Uh, Dave, you're off mute. Hey, happens to the best of us. Enjoy some goldfish cheddar crackers. Goldfish have short memories.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Be like goldfish. When I found out my friend got a great deal on a wool coat from winners, I started wondering. Is every fabulous item I see from winners? Like that woman over there with the designer jeans. Are those from winners? Ooh, are those beautiful gold earrings? Did she pay full price?
Starting point is 00:20:37 Or that leather tote? Or that cashmere sweater? Or those knee-high boots? That dress, that jacket, those shoes. Is anyone paying full price for anything? Stop wondering. Start winning. Winners, find fabulous for less.
Starting point is 00:20:50 But we get to learn a little bit more about Lake and her parents are divorced, but she's those good relationships with both. She's working at Republic, as we know, but she went to art school. She went to, what is it called? Parsons, which I had actually heard of, which I was surprised about. Went to Parsons, she went to Paris for a year to study as she's talking about all of this. And I noticed her mom on FaceTime. I'm like, she might come from a little bit of money. Rich.
Starting point is 00:21:21 You look very rich. You know, that's something stinks like money in here. Now, this is a funny thing to do, too, because we had Molly last week introducing us to her family with a picture of a private jet. You thought that her father looked like a statesman. I guess is the way you put it. Hey, that's fine. And then we have Lake, who's talking about her family and not really showing the wealth.
Starting point is 00:21:44 It's very different. Very different people. You know, it's something to keep an eye on. I want to see how the two of them interact. My brain was doing circles. I'm like, what does she do? What does the mom do? She looks important.
Starting point is 00:21:56 She looks like she has a big job. And then the art thing came up. I was like, is she an art curator? I'll tell you what she doesn't gallery. She doesn't professionally name children. Oh, Lake. Oh, that Lake's not a bad name. Lake.
Starting point is 00:22:10 We have a lake house. Lake. They conceived her at the lake house. Sure, yeah. Lake. That's special. Okay. You're defending this.
Starting point is 00:22:20 I didn't expect to. do defend this one yeah because i like the name lake well all right leave me alone but she asks she can have some friends to the lake house mom says have a few friends i wonder if mom knows that they're filming with this group of idiots at their lake house yeah few friends and a whole production company whole production company and this crew which they never get into trouble they're very mellow they're going to take great care of this beautiful arguable mansion on lake wiley don't worry about it mom everything's going to be fine but we get back to republic and emmy walks in goes immediately up to chavonne wants to show that she's the bigger person
Starting point is 00:23:01 this whole thing she had every right to be upset not to the level that she got to but she was accused of stealing i didn't think that chavonne's apology was nearly close to what it should have been she's like no i'm just ready to forget about it's like you did it you accused her of cheating Now, I'm stuck on Will. If I think somebody's fucking me over, I'm going to come to them. I just want everybody to forget about this now. Like, a huge turn, especially after you have a conversation with Molly at a restaurant when you guys are roommates, which I still can't get over. Just do it in your goddamn apartment, but whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:33 And you have that whole conversation where you're talking about Will, you're talking about Emmy. And now you're coming back and you're like, I just want to move past it. Just forget about it. You don't get to dictate that. No, this is something you brought up for the show to put her on blast to have a little moment. that's what you did. Exactly. So I didn't care for that.
Starting point is 00:23:51 I didn't care for her statement last week where she's like, if I have a problem with somebody, I'm going to go. I didn't like that. I told you that. She came in too hot. And now she's immediately backpedaling. It's like,
Starting point is 00:24:01 pick a lane. Who are you going to be? You're going to be the harness? You're going to be the, no, no, it's all good. Everything's fine. I think, honestly,
Starting point is 00:24:07 now that I just said that, maybe Molly and her having that little sit down lunch, it did appear at the end of that. They both felt bad for Emmy, because of the situation she's in with Will. So maybe that's what it is where she's like, eh, you're going through enough. Like, I don't need to add fuel to this fire.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Yeah, that's a possibility too. And look, I mean, Molly even says she doesn't really like Emmy. I think she says it a little bit later in this episode. She doesn't really like Emmy, but she really doesn't like Will. So I think this is a lot more about Will. And maybe Chavon feels a different type of way about Emmy than Molly does. So it could just be a complete different scenario. Maybe they just decided to then and there.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Let's just drop this whole thing because she freaked out clearly about something else. my God. All right. Let's commend them then. Let's commend them. No, no. No. No.
Starting point is 00:24:50 No, the jury's still out. The jury still out. Yeah. Shavano, the jury still out on. We'll see. We'll see. Came in way too hot for me. But Brad and Emmy catch up and Brad voices his concerns.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Like, hey, is everything, everything okay? And the first thing says, nothing's going on in my personal life. It's like, whoa. Okay. Pretty quick to answer with that one. Are you sure about that? And in his confessional, he's like, clearly you're not okay. Like, everybody can see it.
Starting point is 00:25:19 People watching at home are taking notice that you don't seem well. And again, given the circumstances, it's understandable. But at the same time, completely denying it to your friends makes no sense to me, especially when they all are sitting on this bombshell that they're about to drop on you that will is in there just badmouthing you. And the thing with that, because we're going to talk about it later, but the thing with him badmouthing in Republic, if he's doing it there where he knows. people know Emmy. He's doing it at every fucking bar that he goes to with anybody that wants to to listen to him. He's getting drunk. He's angry at the world because he's in a relationship. He doesn't want to be in. He doesn't know to break up with her because he's too much of a
Starting point is 00:25:56 pussy to do it. So he's just walking around Charleston from bar to bar talking shit about his girlfriend. Meanwhile, she's singing his praises and feeling bad for him because he didn't step into help when she was having a meltdown. I will never, I love Joey Bottles. You love Joey Bottles. He's our boy. Great dude. Why would you send Joe in in that. situation to go calm your girlfriend on. Joe's got it because he doesn't care. That's what it is. He just doesn't give a shit. If anybody walked out there, if T.J. walked out there, if fucking Austin walked out there who nobody seems to know that well, he walks out there. Oh, can you go check on my girlfriend for me? I don't feel comfortable
Starting point is 00:26:30 being back there anymore. But almost in that same sentence, you say, well, yeah, I mean, you know, I'm talking shit. It just feels like my second home back there. So it feels like your second home, but you don't feel comfortable going back there to console your girlfriend. Not just points to you hate your girlfriends yeah yes he doesn't like her at all like it's quite obvious but lake invites everybody to the lake house and uh her and brad are flirting again brad's really feeling it goes to it because i've never met a girl like her she's well traveled she's every year brad yeah but the best part to me was lake's response because brad's reasons are well traveled artistic nice things she goes foo he's got abs i'm like hell yeah girl
Starting point is 00:27:14 your priorities in order but lake sits down with michael's and now she knows about what's going on with will because mollie sat her down and told her about will talking shit and lake tells michael's look she's your friend and you need to talk to her like you need to figure this out like yes you're the boss but you're also the friend take care of this whole thing and i don't know how you do that i don't know how you broach this topic with your friend like hey because it's not just a conversation of hey your boyfriend sucks which is what he says like how do i tell or that. It's a conversation of not only does your boyfriend suck, but he's actively talking shit about you constantly in the bar where we all know you. I don't know how you
Starting point is 00:27:54 deal with that. I don't know how you deal with that either. And after watching Emmy blow up last week, I don't think you want to do it right now. I mean, this is right on the heels of her having a mental breakdown over somebody suggesting slash, you know, accusing you of using money that you were getting from a store to buy dresses but accepting our money and she had that kind of reaction to that instead of being able to like laugh it off you want to bring something heavier to her this is what i got yeah this is what i get for being yeah i i don't blame michael's at all because he is he's a rarity right now he is so good at his job he's a great manager but he's also friends with people and he also has to be on the tv show and there's a lot more shit going on at
Starting point is 00:28:39 this restaurant slash bar than anywhere else because there is a TV show going on here. So he's having a hard time and I don't blame them. I don't know what you do. He's handling himself very well given all of those obstacles. Oh yeah. He's also trying to figure his own shit out and trying to figure out what's going on with TJ, trying to figure out the dating scene in Charleston because it's difficult for gay men down there in the day and night.
Starting point is 00:29:04 It's a lot going on and he's 21 years old and he's still got to go to school. Give this guy a fucking break. all right stop walking his restaurant talking shit will he needs a breather guys tired but this is probably the sadder scene for me i don't like watching will with emmy now like i don't like these scenes because you get mattie and emmy hanging out and mattie's concerned about people talking shit about emmy and will because emmy's her friend and we watched them get back together after a pretty rough year last year but at the same time she's aware that will is talking shit so it's this whole i i can't imagine sitting there i would say something you know me i would i would be i wouldn't be
Starting point is 00:29:43 able to bite my time back look we need to hash us out because i'm uncomfortable i'm just going to tell you what's going on but she bites her tongue but she asked me where will is and she's like well it's boys night so t j and brad are getting drinks with will joey bottles isn't invited obviously because of his shit with t j but we get to the boys i don't know what stick is up will's ass. These are his close friends, allegedly. Did he go to law school? This is the vibe I get from him now. I'm so out in this dude. He went to law school. He comes back. Yeah, he misses his bar friends. Yeah, he misses working at the bar. But at the same time, I'll catch you up with you guys. Let's grab some food real quick.
Starting point is 00:30:21 But I just got off my nine to five. And I'm pretty pooped. So I'm only going to sit down, give you face value answers, not really dive into this conversation. Because I don't really have time for you guys anymore. That's the vibe I get from that. That's the vibe I got to. I didn't think anything of it. I've gotten to the point now when he starts talking. Not that it's going to be complete bullshit because I do think, and obviously he does cop to saying things. Now obviously after that,
Starting point is 00:30:44 it's all bullshit. But I just, I almost don't care what he has to say because my mind's already made up. And then he starts talking and he's going this ho-hum. Like he doesn't want to be there. He's too good for everybody. And that irritates me even more. So then I just kind of shut it off.
Starting point is 00:30:57 I do not care what this guy has to say. Go back to Emmy and Maddie. Actually, and let me see what Brad and T.J. do. I want to see the two of them interact. I want to see the two of them talk about Will as soon as Will gets up and leaves. Sit there and talk about him and be like, what the fuck is going on with this dude? Because this is not our boy. This is not who we saw. Like, what is his problem? Is he just trying to get out of this relationship or what? And it seems like every answer that he has is like blaming somebody else doing this,
Starting point is 00:31:24 like taking the lawyer approach, not really answering. It's really annoying. That's exactly what it is. He's trying to lawyer them doing this whole thing. just with what he's saying he's like i'm projecting my school frustrations out of my relationship what that's not what you're doing they're like well you're talking shit about emmy he's like did it happen yeah yeah but i'm feeling really self-conscious that i wasn't a boyfriend that i needed to be such bullshit how is it on you now like what you're not up to your duty as a boyfriend so you go and talk shit about your girlfriend two people that that know her people that you've never met by the way that's crazy let's paint a picture of
Starting point is 00:32:08 their relationship by the way all right what's actually expected of will in that relationship to go to law school to become a lawyer to then provide for a family in the future correct is there anything else have you ever seen emmy lash out at him for not being a good boyfriend no not he puts himself in a situation where he's not a good boyfriend we're watching him not be a good boyfriends, but he's not doing things walking around, you know, taking out frustrations on her. He's taking out frustrations about her to other people and then not really talking to her about anything and pretty much just avoiding her. All of their scenes are so weird going back to the first episode where he didn't want to jump into the ocean before work. I get that. Like if you're
Starting point is 00:32:45 pissed off and you're like, I just want to wake up, go to work, not deal with any of this. Fine, but handle it differently. Like it's just, the whole thing is just bizarre to me. So I, there's not a whole lot expected of you. It's not like you're being a you're being a bad boyfriend because you're not, you don't want to be a boyfriend. That's what it is. Look, he's pushing 30 at this point. He's older than the rest of the group other than I think
Starting point is 00:33:06 TJ. Yeah. If you're in a relationship for this amount of time, you're going to law school. You're about to be a quote unquote adult, which not really because you're probably just going to get a job at your daddy's law firm and he's going to make sure that you're taking care of the rest of your life. Great, good for you, whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:23 But have a fucking conversation with the one person that you're talking shit about to everybody else and they go through some of the stuff that he says again she works out too much not someone i want to be with no ambition never listens to me all the fact that everybody has a different list of things that he said is even more astounding which means he was literally in their spewing vitriol for god knows how long but brag goes to a confession he's like this isn't a one-off he's done this shit before and tj jumps in and says look i don't think less of you and this is when i got pissed at tj i'm like all right time out yeah we're gonna play this game we're gonna play
Starting point is 00:34:05 the hypocrite game a little bit because he said i don't think less of you for saying something out of pocket i've done it it's like oh kind of like joe bradley did is that what you're referring to you've said some fucked up stuff because you're about to say some fucked up stuff at the end of this episode yep but you've done this shit before you actually did it to Joe when you called out the Luan stuff. That was your first flaw right there. So you admittedly have done ship before,
Starting point is 00:34:32 but you're going to hold on to this grudge for an extended period of time against Joe Bradley. Okay. I'm just making sure we're on the same page. Yeah, you're allowed to pop off and nobody else is allowed to pop off. At least if it's in your direction, you definitely will not allow that. But your understanding of Will popping off
Starting point is 00:34:48 at what, the collateral damage that is his girlfriend and his relationship? That's okay. That's where we're, that's where drawing the line if he does it to you if because i guarantee you if will was doing that and tj was at the bar and tj tried to stop him and will went off on him will would be firmly on emmy side firmly yeah you wouldn't he would not adjust so i'm sorry tj would be firmly on emmy side so yeah the whole thing doesn't make any sense i i don't i don't like hypocrisy especially with what's going on like just stick to your guns if that's what you're going to do just stay there because then you
Starting point is 00:35:20 know what i might not agree with what you're doing but at least i would understand it now it's just it's murkying the waters and making us believe and as we already know at the end of the episode that this whole joe bradley thing is about something completely different wildly different than i thought it was going to be about but you get a quick cut to emmy being like on face time i would have his baby tomorrow like literally like that like just crazy it's like whoa dude like something's going on but will's defense is i was just expressing myself and it's not an issue like i'm happy in my relationship and brad lays it out perfectly he's like random people are bringing this up to us will random fucking people is like i do feel guilty about it and then
Starting point is 00:36:00 it's awkward as shit and then will goes to a fucking confessional this was the most lawyer bullshit just this would be grounds for breakup for 90% of people in the world like watching this back there's studies about venting about your spouse it's good for the relationship oh okay sure cool i'm going to go to watch the birds game on sunday and talk a bunch of shit about dev to people that know her then when she hears about i'm going to say hey hey whoa i read a study this is good for us which you settle down it's even more psychotic and look do i believe that these studies exist yeah i'm pretty sure there's studies for all like crazy shit that you want to just use for your own narrative or you want to spin it and rationalize your terrible behavior there's a
Starting point is 00:36:47 ton of that. And yeah, I believe that those studies exist. The psychotic part is I need to find a way to spin this. People know that I was talking shit on my relationship and my girlfriend to random people. I need to find a way. There's got to be something good about this, right? Oh, here's a study from some guy in Indiana that says he loves to go to the dive bar and bitch about his wife the entire time. And it really makes him feel better and it makes their relationship a lot better. I like that guy. Yeah. I'm going to go with Billy Bob down in Indiana because he says when he gets home he doesn't hate his wife as much because he spent four hours drinking and talking shit about her so when he gets home he's here anymore he passes out and goes to
Starting point is 00:37:25 sleep that's will great no he doesn't have a phd but uh i'm sure he's got some sort of a credential i don't know yeah he's got a certificate but we get back to emmy and mattie and will gets home and you can tell that he feels uncomfortable you can tell that he knows that mattie knows and you can tell that he's trying to do damage control out of the gate because he tries that they have the non-alcoholic rosé yep and he's like oh you know i'm thinking about taking an alcohol break it's like oh are you that's probably a good call considering what you did when you were drinking but to me this is preemptive damage he's lawyering again he's like i'm thinking to taking an alcohol because then if this comes up he'd be like look i mean that's why i said i wanted
Starting point is 00:38:07 to take a break from alcohol would you get off my back i'm working in nine to five and law school's really stressful. Law prom. I didn't even get asked out to law problem. Everything's falling apart. Yeah. What was the straw
Starting point is 00:38:19 that broke the camel's back on that one? You sitting there sipping on your high noon while your girlfriend's going through a mental breakdown? You're like, I just can't get away from this high noon. It's just perfect. Oh, man. It's a great nooner.
Starting point is 00:38:31 It's a great fucking nooner. But they asked him what happened. What did you guys talk about? How was it? Oh, man. You know, it's been a really long day. working at 9 to 5 man I'm pretty fucking gassed and uh yeah you know I just kind of forget it's it's been a long one it's been a real long one I'm gonna start doing that for our
Starting point is 00:38:52 podcast after I work uh you know what I watched the episode I swear but I've got really no input here long day nine to five I'm tired whoof I'm I'm pretty pooped yeah it's been a day because you got called out for your shit and now you're home with the woman that you talk shit about you know Maddie knows And you're like, no, not doing this now because I am a huge wuss and I can't bring myself to do it. That's my biggest issue with Will, honestly. If you're going to be this guy, if you're doing all this shit around town, at least talk to your girlfriend about it. Be a grown up and have a fucking conversation with this woman because this is ridiculous to watch.
Starting point is 00:39:34 He's a petulant child. That's all he is. He's a nepo baby that's going to take over his daddy's law firm and he doesn't give a fuck. I don't like people like that. It gives Shep energy. It gives fucking Whitney energy. Like, I don't care for it. That's who he is.
Starting point is 00:39:49 He is the Shittany of Southern hospitality. Shepp and Whitney. That's Shittney. How is that the first time that we figured that one out? I have no idea. I'm pretty proud of it. God, that is such low-hanging fruit, too. Right?
Starting point is 00:40:01 It's so obvious. It took us three years to get there. Maybe he's trying to be a shitty person because he's actually trying out. No, it's because he's trying to. trying out for Southern Charm. He's getting a little older. He wants to be on Southern Charm, maybe. There's a lot of terrible guys there.
Starting point is 00:40:17 He's probably friends with Andrew, I'm sure. He's definitely friends with Andrew. Andrew's probably the guy that he sits at the bar with and just starts talking shit. Andrew's talking shit on Sally. They take mushrooms together and Andrew plays his guitar and he vents about his girlfriend. That's what they do. And he braids Andrew's ponytail. Because it feels nice when he's on the shrooms.

Starting point is 00:42:01 But let's head to Lake Wiley with the crew and we get to learn a little bit about Joey Bibles It's a little bit different but Joey Bibles taught him how to talk to chicks I had to talk to parents. That's what everybody says, yep. Thank you YMCA camp for counselor Joe. But we got some developments.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Emmy was going to room with Michaels. Given everything going on, Michaels doesn't want a room with her, completely understandable. Reasonable. But didn't expect him to room with TJ. Because now it's mixed signals both ways. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:36 We've got a mixed signal off right now. I don't know who's going to come out top i have no idea but uh i'm i'm interested to see it is a neck and neck race it's it's a lot of mixed signals back and forth between those two and i thought emmy was gonna lose it when she finds it out like her reaction was not i was like oh fuck is she gonna be super i think she would have i think that she's now being a little this might be wishful thinking maybe being a little cognizant of the fact that there's people around no because i think she was internally she was absolutely losing it like she had that's what i thought power
Starting point is 00:43:10 a sounding away at the keyboard with her thumbs energy where it's like oh god what's that noise oh fuck who are you texting like this again like staring at it like yeah yeah i don't know and there's a lot of dots going on she she let it off with a triple dot if you lead off with a triple dot that's saying something yeah she's trying to say something but we get to lake wiley and house is sick like this house is insane i want to go to this house yeah but we find out a little bit more about lakes she's like yeah my family is you know Now, pretty successful. Oh, are they pretty successful? Because they own a family law firm, some gentle practices. That's good humility. I love it. They own an MMA company. Why have we not seen that yet?
Starting point is 00:43:54 No idea. I need to see the MMAica. I need these dudes. If Lake becomes more important, maybe we'll get a little bit more about that. I'll sit down with their parents or something. I would like to see the MMA company. That would be fun, especially if it's like up and coming and you get to go to like dirty auditorium. you know who's like who definitely strikes me as into MMA is Austin for sure oh yeah with
Starting point is 00:44:17 that I want to know more about Austin I feel like I feel like me and Austin would be friends I think I could be friends with him I have a I have an issue though um I think that he has the worst hair on Bravo like just it's very unfortunate that he's going for the mullet look but you can't do it it's just not working it's it looks I feel bad because I think I like him but i feel i like austere and i think i'm going to like him more when he gets more involved he hasn't had he gets a haircut yeah i'll probably like him a lot more than maybe it'll grow on you not everybody could do a mustache you know i cannot i'm not a mustache guy yeah so i can do a mullet again very sad news very sad development because i do like i think he's great but i think
Starting point is 00:45:02 oh ryan says don't shame a man's hair have shut up what are we allowed to shame nothing apparently They were not allowed to shame anything ever. I'll shame you in your fucking mustache, buddy. How about that? Yeah. But Emmy's talking to the very strange turn of events here because now Emmy's in a room with Molly and Chavon. And she's talking to them. That was the weird part to me.
Starting point is 00:45:26 And I know I'm over analyzing because that's what we do here. But when he's talking to them, it's almost as though they're friends now. Like everything's cool. Like she seems to think that because it was brushed under the rug, now they're tight. So she's like, guys, what's going on? I know something's going, I got six cents. She seems to be having another episode in this moment, but to her credit, she senses something's up and something is up. So I can't falter entirely, but she's a little off on what's up.
Starting point is 00:45:52 And maybe this was just a move by her by pointing out the inconsistencies and what's going on with Michaels and TJ. Sure. Because Michael's was just heartbroken last week. Now this week, all of a sudden, he's rooming with TJ for the weekends. A little odd, weird move, mixed signals. So she's not really taking any fault or really inserting herself. She's just eluding that there's something going on here. And I'm a little concerned about it.
Starting point is 00:46:16 I'm a little confused about it. Gets the girls thinking, unfortunately for her, the girls are very well aware of what's going on. Everybody in that house. Everybody in that house knows what going on. Everybody in Charleston knows what's going on. Except for Emmy.
Starting point is 00:46:27 And this is the thing that happens. And we talk about Charleston being a small, small community all the time. Everybody's talking. Emmy knows what's going on. Emmie's probably heard this before, but it's going to be different when it's brought up. And I wonder if it's going to evolve into this big thing where everybody in the group's just like, dude, Will sucks. Dude, Will sucks.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Just like, they get in line just to tell Emmy how much he sucks because I don't think she's going to be able to handle that. I'm curious how many people are going to say that Will sucks and how many people are going to take the side of. He doesn't suck. He's just in a bad relationship. Like that kind of vibe. I don't know if anybody in this group would do it, though, because, I mean, after the conversation that he had with Brad and he, TJ, like, TJ might be able to see both sides. I think Brad's going to come down hard.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Joe's going to come down hard. There's just going to be enough where they are at least somewhat aware of, of shitty behavior, which, you know, it's a good move. Yeah, it's just my whole thing is if you're treating somebody who love like that, even if you're quote unquote, not a bad guy, but you're in a relationship we don't want to be in, you're a bad guy because you're doing all that shit while you're still in the relationships. That's not a pass because you get out of the relationship.
Starting point is 00:47:35 They're like, oh, like old Will's back. It's like, well, that was still Will being a dickhead. So that's where I stand. But Michael's, he's planning on talking to Emmy at some point. We do get the clip at the end for scenes from next week. He brings it up at the dinner table, which tells you once again, one, this cast is learning. Save the bombshells for a group scene. And two, Michael's the newbie came to fucking play.
Starting point is 00:47:55 If he's the one that brings this up in front of everyone, I'm not going to say it because we jinx it. Don't do it. I'm not. But you know what I'm thinking. Yep. yeah so we'll see how that plays out but we get to my knowledge i think we're allowed to still think it i think that's not jinxing it yeah okay cool because i'm thinking we might have powers that we don't know about so let's we'll just test it out see what happens do you want to test it yeah we just
Starting point is 00:48:20 thought it we just know we just thought it think it but don't say it uh-huh i wonder if anyone in the chat knows what we're thinking probably let's see if you if you think you know what we're thinking no then that's going to jinx it they're part of the show oh but i want to know I want to know Let's get to the end Oh his Dobby's a free I mean poppy are reading Sorcerer's Stone right now
Starting point is 00:48:45 We're not at Dobby yet He's Prisoner Vascobat We're getting there But Sorcerer's Stone We're starting with that it's awesome Oh shit Carmen knows what I'm talking about But she hyphenate
Starting point is 00:48:55 Is that what that is? That's not a hyphenate God damn it That would be an acronym Close Thank you Thank you so much I'm stuck on hyphens
Starting point is 00:49:03 from uh from covering potomac earlier but anyway this is when shit pops off so everyone focus up let's talk about this we got a boat crew going out on the boat we got a few people stay back at the pool mattie's in the pool with tj and just finally talks to him and goes look joe misses you i know you miss joe you guys are best friends i really wish you could hash this out now i was surprised out of the gate because tj admits that he shouldn't have talked about the lou and stuff he said it was a weak moment shouldn't have done that slum me, I feel bad. I'm like, okay. So that, but in my head, I'm like, that's all Joe needs to hear.
Starting point is 00:49:38 And you guys will be cool. And then he'll apologize for the messages. Yep. Everything's copacetic. Great. No, not what happens because it goes further. And he's like, Joe's had a hold over me. And I'm like, what? Go on. Continue.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And he goes into this story about, well, first he leads off with, I wanted him to feel loss because it's deeper than that. So I don't know if it was a couple of years. It was it three years ago, I believe. I think he said three, yeah. Whatever. A few years ago, Joe slept at his place, slept in his bed. Now, Joe says we were drunk.
Starting point is 00:50:18 I'm a cuddler, so there is a very high possibility that I got in his bed and cuddled him, and that's all that happened. T.J. says that they shared a moment together, and then we get that clip of T.J. saying to Joe Bradley, I'm in love with you. So this whole thing is stemming more so from the fact that T.J. feels rejected by Joe and alleges that Joe has held this over him and their friendship and then says in this moment I felt like I had the power for once. And there was so much to break down in like a five minute window that my brain almost exploded. Yeah. It was a lot of new information. It was a lot of trying to understand where T.J's coming from because we're
Starting point is 00:51:03 when he says he feels, look, I don't know, I've never been in a situation where I've had to deal with, you know, a power struggle, power dynamic type of situation that you have to start using it against someone. I don't think I ever would. But I just give it time. I'm going to hold something over you soon. Yeah, that's fair. But I just, I didn't understand it. I, it was one of those things where it's like, I appreciate you sharing your feelings and what's going on. And I believe him too when he says all of these things. I understand what his intentions are, but I don't understand why you feel the need to take the power back. The whole thing is interesting. I don't. Here's my biggest issue with it, honestly. All right. So I'll play both sides here.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Sure. If that's what happened from Joe's standpoint, and that's all it was, and T.J. knows that. And then he's using this to make it something different. That's kind of fucked up. On the other side, let's say something did happen. I could give a shit if something happened between these two.
Starting point is 00:52:03 whatever, none of my business, but is it not fucked up for him to go on national television and say something like this? Is this not grounds to call out like, let's say again, devil's advocate like Joe was by or Joe was experimenting or whatever, does that not fall under? Like you're not supposed to out people. You're not supposed to go on national TV and say, oh, I had a moment with Joe where we were intimate together. To me, that's breaching a lot of trust.
Starting point is 00:52:28 To me, that's breaching a whole lot of different things, friendship, everything. because you felt slighted by him, which, again, if you did, that's a conversation between the two of you. That's fine. But to call it out like this for two reasons. One, I think it's fucking mean to Joe. And two, what do you think's going to come from this? Do you think Joe's going to see this and be like, you know what? You're right, TJ.
Starting point is 00:52:51 I love you. Like, let's get together. I don't know. And I also do think that the whole power dynamic thing is in TJ's head. Like you're in love with Joe. And like, yeah, as somebody in. chat pointed out i think melissa just pointed it out he was his sidekick and he watched him cheat on every girl under the sun and deaf has done something with tj we don't know that last part but yeah i mean
Starting point is 00:53:12 he has stuck with joe for a long time and maybe he felt like joe was manipulating him where joe just kind of saw him as a friend and just a good dude that he could entrust with all of this information who knows i don't see it from the perspective of he was holding some power over him like he knew some information about tj like that's what i got from it where it's like yeah i guess if he knew some deep dark secret and he was holding it over your head like i'm going to let this out like you just did to him supposedly or allegedly yeah it's not the same thing like i don't see joe doing that i think that you just misunderstood because you were in love with him the whole time so it's just it's a really bizarre turn of events that he's able to do this on national tv saying it to his girlfriend
Starting point is 00:53:52 too i just don't know what's going to come of it like anything less than a huge blow-up fight where joe is just like at his neck is something i wouldn't expect So I don't know. It baffled me. I was like, whoa, dude, what the fuck? Like, again, if something happened, whatever, that's none of our business. Do what you want to do. But for you to go on, because now he has to answer questions from his girlfriend, from his parents, from his friends, from the general public, because you guys are on TV.
Starting point is 00:54:23 So people are going to be asking more questions about this. You know people are going to speculate because I love all of you dearly, but even our members are in the comments speculating about a sexuality right now. So that's not something that's up for discussion amongst people that don't know you. Like you shouldn't have to answer for your sexual proclivities in any way shape. That's no one's fucking business ever. So if something did happen between these two, if you ever, look, I don't think there was ever a chance you guys were going to date. I don't think that Joe's gay. He seems very happy with Maddie.
Starting point is 00:54:55 But let's say that in some universe there was. Do you think after this he's going to be like, oh, TJ, thanks, dude. like you're right i i love you and i miss you really forced my hand here yeah yeah i i there's look if they're friends now i'd be stunned because this is grounds for a complete removal of friendship and it's such after he breached his trust with the land thing saying i'll take this to the grave then he fucked him over to quote unquote get the power back and then doing this i i wouldn't have time for the guy but dude what the fuck man i'm now answering questions i've got people in my DMs they're posting shit on page six like god knows what else is going to come from
Starting point is 00:55:34 this because you wanted to have a moment where you took again that's all this was to me this is him once again trying to take the power you know what i'm going to one up you joe i'm going to tell them about our night together because we shared something and now if he's a lover scorned is what it sounds like yeah and that's not fair because it didn't work out with a guy and then it takes me back to the conversation they have with michaels where he's talking about you know i've been with guys that are in the closet or guys that weren't available and it all ties in so now people are going to speculate about that scene are we talking about Joe
Starting point is 00:56:07 it just it's fucked up it's a conversation that if you want to have it with Joe one-on-one I do believe that you're right hey man I thought we had something that's something you can get an answer for and it's probably going to land a lot better because he's going to be honest with you and I think Joe would Joe doesn't strike me as a guy that would hear that and be like fuck you do nothing happen I think he would be like look bro you guys could hash this out together this is none of our fucking And now, T.J, who I liked for a little while, and I'm not, like, fully out on it, but this is fucked up.
Starting point is 00:56:35 I, that's all I got. I was like, that's fucking mean, dude. That was just a mean move. Yeah, it's definitely mean. And look, I mean, if we can have some sort of sit down with T.J. in the next couple of episodes and he explains it better, explains some sort of power dynamic. It can take some back. But you can't let, like, once the cat's out of the bag, it's done.
Starting point is 00:56:52 Like you said, everybody's just going to start speculating. Joe's going to have to answer a bunch of questions, not only on the show in the next couple of weeks, because now everybody's going to be talking about it. But also we're going to have people online. We're going to have people in interviews on podcasts that are going to be talking about like we are right now. And we're not speculating, but it's it's fucked up because it puts him in a position for what reason, though. Like that's not even fighting fire with fire. Like, again, I understand T.J was probably in a bad spot.
Starting point is 00:57:17 Maybe Joe was making him feel like a bad friend because he wasn't lying about like, oh, I cheated on this girl with this girl. And T.J. knows about it, but you can't tell her, even though you're friends with her like, maybe he put him in a bad spot. fine maybe you can say he's been a bad friend but this is way worse than anything that joe's done from what we understand so it's just not it's not tit for tat it's not it's not even at all he just blew the top off of something and he's not going to be able to get it back in no and you know the clip from next week again it's them sitting at the bar talking to one another and joe saying like yeah we cuddled like it didn't mean anything and then tj saying well it meant something to me it's like all right if you confirm on tv that it was just you guys
Starting point is 00:57:56 cuddling in bed and Joe was blackout drunk and his whole thing stands up then like yeah dude it's not grounds for it's not grounds for doing this no i don't think there's ever grounds for doing this unless he like did something horrible to you like i don't know that that's uh i was like literally it happened i was like yeah i was floored like jaw on the floor i paused and rewind i was like what's going on right now yeah i thought i missed something big but no so did i yeah i was like i had to have missed something to get here because this is fucking insane right now. But yeah, I mean, look, absolute banger of an episode.
Starting point is 00:58:33 This is a great season. They're off to a great start. Everyone's hitting on all cylinders. So bravo to the Soho crew. I'm very curious. Like, that's when a show is really good is when they hit you with a cliffhanger and you're actually like, oh, shit. Because we get a lot of two continues and we're like, all right, whatever.
Starting point is 00:58:50 We'll see next week. This, I can't. There's so much to look forward to. And it sounds so fucked up to say. because we're looking forward to Emmy having a meltdown at the dinner table. We're looking forward to Joe and TJ hashing this out because TJ just talked about this shit. These are not fun things. We're looking forward to Will answering for all of his bullshit.
Starting point is 00:59:09 Yep. I feel dirty, but I like that one. That one I'm looking forward to because I want to see how this works way out of that one. Yeah, I agree. But without further ado, let's get to some questions from our live audience, our beautiful members. If you guys have some questions for us, get them ready and fire away. we are ready and waiting. I lost 10 seconds.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Yeah, yeah, the 10 second delay. Unless we don't have any questions. No questions. What does that be crazy? Could be the delay. Might be longer than we think. Are there strings on that guitar in the studio, bro? You want to find out?
Starting point is 00:59:47 Do you want me to piss off shooter real quick? Oh, God. There's no way that's going to translate through the microphone that well. You don't think so? There are strings on the guitar. And yes, I can't play. I don't play in public, and I'm not going to do that.
Starting point is 01:00:03 I would feel like a huge douchebag. But yes, there are straights. I actually played with Poppy tonight because I bought her guitar in Texas. I'm still waiting for her to get lessons. The deal was, I'll buy the guitar. We'll get you lessons. She's getting lessons soon. But yeah, she was messing around.
Starting point is 01:00:16 That's nice. We were playing guitar on FaceTime. It was fun. That's nice. Yeah, it was nice. From Candy Farto, what are the chances that Emmy will still be defending Will Therina? 150% she's still doing it online tonight yeah something's going to have to change drastically in the next couple of weeks now if she goes radio silent in the next couple of weeks
Starting point is 01:00:35 we might not get a lot whole oh they haven't filmed yet that's great uh-huh we're only there's five episodes in six episodes in maybe yeah they probably won't film for another five or six actually not even i think that was the fourth episode was it yeah so they probably got five more at the very least before they start doing the reunion um look we can hold on to hope I don't see it happening. I think she'll be defending him. I hope she does and I hope she sees the light. She's way too good for that guy.
Starting point is 01:01:03 When she was, this sounds mean, but when she was normal last year, like she's great. So I don't know. I hope that she sees the light. Yeah. From Amy Donnelly,
Starting point is 01:01:13 don't we speculate about Kyle. We don't. We never have. Yeah, and I think that. Kyle gives us a lot more to go off of. Yeah, I think when you bring up the music video
Starting point is 01:01:22 and like other stuff, if you want to go that route, there's evidence there that she's provided we don't speculate on kyle's sexuality it's none of our fucking business yeah from melissa gomez do you think that lake's lake house was better than oh yeah see i don't like lake now because then you say things like lakes lake out okay fine you would also melissa melissa pointed out that it is the same lake that we were on for uh mea's trip yes it was that's a good and it was better it's way better than me his house and that's not mea's house either i get the fuck out here not you melissa mea
Starting point is 01:01:55 I'm sorry. Mary Joe Stockton, do you think Brad and Lake is going to work out? I think it's going to be a fun fling for a little while. I don't see Brad's going to be the same thing. Yeah, it's going to be the same thing that we've seen the last two seasons with Brad. This is what Brad does. Hot and heavy, has a great time, says he can see himself marrying her. And then we'll get to the off season.
Starting point is 01:02:13 We'll come back and he'll be flirt with somebody else next year. Yep, that, thus is the cycle of Brad. Show me something different, Bradley. I don't know. I love Bradley. I like Brad too. I'm just saying. From Ryan Stumbwell,
Starting point is 01:02:24 Michaels and T.J. hook up at the lake, I, I think it depends on what kind of backlash comes from this Joe Bradley thing. If they hash it out at the lake, I don't think so. Now, if they have a nice evening, maybe the drinks are flowing a little bit, a little flirty. I think we're going to have a weird sexually charged moment between the two of them that is going to make both of them feel weird for the next like three weeks. Michael's and T.J. Yeah. I can see that. And then they don't talk at work, and then it's awkward again. And then they don't actually hook up, but they have like a weird moment that they talk about for the next couple of weeks. And then maybe we can just put it behind us.
Starting point is 01:03:04 I'm losing steam on the Michaels and TJ thing. Yeah, yeah, we'll see what happens. But I think I'm losing steam because TJ's turning into an asshole right now. That's fair. Oh. Last one from Julie Harp. Side question. Is there a community bros and shows this month?
Starting point is 01:03:19 Yes, there will be. We just need to figure out. Wait, yeah. it'll be next what's today no we can do it next week yeah next week that's still January
Starting point is 01:03:31 I think you changed it all the time yeah it's still January that's still January we did say last week when we were talking to you that there would be one in February but oh we said we would do it the first week of February
Starting point is 01:03:41 we will figure it'll be soon yes Julie it will be soon we'll figure out when yeah we're back in the swing of things yeah we're back in the swing and our schedule is nuts we got a lot to cover something's gonna end though
Starting point is 01:03:53 because I know Potomac's coming to an end. Salt Lake obviously has three reunion episodes. They're going to be incredible. And what starts next week? What's next week? The Bachelor. Oh, Bachelor starts. Yeah, I knew that.
Starting point is 01:04:09 And then I think two weeks after that, Summer House starts too. Yeah, we got a lot. You're going to have ourselves. Something's going to end. Another thing's going to pick up. We're going to have a lot of shows for a long time. Yep, just how we like it. But to all of our members,

Starting point is 01:04:54 But other than that, you got anything else? Nope. Well, that's our show. The bros got to go later. Everyone be cool for a sec. It takes a sense of delight. Just be cool. Hey, Michael.
