Bros & Shows - Tres Amigas Back Again...Part 176 (RHOC Full Recap S20E3)
Episode Date: July 28, 2026What's up bros?? Well, how do we say this....not really much of anything happened in this episode. Gina and Emily once again start their meaningless storylines and decide it's time to pick on the new ...girl (because they're afraid of everyone else) and hopefully it goes slightly different this time and is actually entertaining but we won't hold our breath. Elsewhere, the Tres Amigas seem to be back again with some lovely work by Vicki but will it last? No. It won't. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Well, it looks like the Trace Amegas are back together.
So there's something that we've all been looking forward to, right?
Have you been looking forward to that specifically or no?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I'm telling myself, yes.
Yeah.
I'm trying to fake it until I make it right now.
This is exactly why Vicky was brought back because there's no way in hell.
O.C. was going to be able to go through an entire season where Shannon and Tamara were just at each other's necks or not associated with each other.
Vicky mediating that last scene was exactly what Vicki's there for
and it was so funny to me.
The problem is that was about 4% of the episode.
Did anything else happen at this episode?
And that's the problem we run into with O.C.
I know as we go scene by scene,
we'll find little funny things along the way,
but it's just hard to escape and it's a cast issue,
but I'm going to hope for the best.
There you go.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a...
Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm Karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Brov Bros.
Good evening, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Bravo Bros.
Your favorite podcast from The Bros.
For everybody, for whoever wants to listen,
I am your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only.
orange county chop goots
what's up dude yeah
we're just revisiting the orange county choppers
yeah yeah it's stuck in my head now
yeah it's just yeah it's been stuck in my head all week
I'm not gonna lie I was reading comments last week
and I went down another rabbit hole about pawn stars
and then storage wars
there was something actually at one point called pawn wars
I guess that was a not a spinoff it was a rival show
where they started doing that it was kind of like best of both world
it was weird I don't even know if it exists
existed. It could be AI. Who the hell knows. But I was thinking about it all week. And I should
have probably been thinking about OC or, you know, Bravo shows or whatever. But I need some
MeTime. And MeTime is all about those weird shows. That's what I'm talking about.
The funniest part about those weird shows, I mean, a lot of them you get on TLC, but like the true
TVs and remember Spike, Spike TV, TV for men.
That's where Blue Bell and State got big. Oh, yeah, that's right. But that's what's funny about those
random shows on random networks is like one of them catches on.
Yeah.
And then all of a sudden it's like, oh, wow, did you see the new hit TV show from Spike?
Yeah.
Or it's, you know, Jimmy Kimmel on The Man Show talking about a lot of different things that he will no longer ever talk about.
It's just, it was a funny world.
It was a funny world.
We lived in in the early 2000s, late 90s.
Dude, that, the Kimmel thing's hilarious to me because if you go back and watch the
man show, which you don't need to.
but that's where he got his big break was the man show and then he got the tonight show
or whatever the late show i was stunned when he got that i was like wait the guy from the man show
that's how i knew him that's how we all knew him growing up is like that's the guy from the man show him
and uh adam adam adam adam carola adam carola that's right yeah yeah now he's doing late
night television i must call him adam camry i was just stopped
in the Toyota family.
It's almost Toyota thought, by the way.
So you know, you got that they'll look forward to.
It was Shark Week, too.
So everyone marked your calendars.
Yeah.
And also the Sixers got LeBron.
So, you know, somebody chose Philadelphia.
I'm so upset about that.
Can I tell you why?
No, why?
Because for the last year and a half,
I have successfully severed ties from that basketball team.
Then we traded for Jay and the Brown.
Then we signed LeBron.
And now I care again.
now like you know that stupid voice that every philly fan has in the back of my head well maybe this
team can do it trust the process they won't break your heart yeah that that usually is reserved
specifically for the Phillies and the sixers at least for the last like 10 to 15 years um
the good thing about lebron is that he brings so many random fans that are only fans of lebron
and we'll just follow him wherever that the other philly fans who kind of cut off their ties from the
sixers, they can slip back in. There's no problem. No one's going to, no one's going to give you a hard
if you come back in. It's not, oh, you're going to. I'm not afraid of people giving me shit.
I don't want to invest again. Every time this happens, you're going to. Why are we having this
conversation? I know, I already am. That's not my point. My point is I'm frustrated because I know
it's going to happen. We're going to get to the second round of the playoffs. So we're going to get
knocked out because that's what we do. Yeah, I don't think that's going to happen. I am so far ahead of
you. I am so back in. I have so back in. Championship robust. But either way, yeah, we're here to talk about the OC.
Not the most entertaining episode, but this, I don't know. I guess I can kind of talk myself into it,
except for Gina and Emily, once again, standout dumps, dumpers, poop. I wanted to say standout stars.
What's the opposite of standout stars? We'll call them a black hole. Yeah. I mean, that's the adverse
of a star. It's a star that's collapsed upon itself.
But yeah, but that would indicate that they were a star at one point.
They have never been stars.
And exactly what they're doing this season.
And we're three episodes in or whatever it is.
Exactly what they're doing this season is exactly why they never will be stars.
That's a really good way.
The way they both pivot to go after the new girl.
Stop.
Like you've been on this show for like six years.
Start going after other people.
Or here's a novel idea.
Just be interesting.
Have an interesting life of your own.
Like I hate it.
I hate it.
I hate watching this.
I know this is just going to be the season where we're going to see like random people kind of coming out of the woodwork to go after Heather.
This was a little bit of a reprieve.
We didn't do a whole lot of going after Heather.
Obviously there was not really a lot of big group scenes.
It's a lot of individual scenes.
But in the individual scenes, the way they're talking about Carmela, the way they're talking about Vicki, Tamara, Shannon, like whatever it is.
It's like, all right.
Like, I know it's just an episode where we're kind of getting to the point, but I don't care.
for it and they do that and it's always gene and emily and it pisses me off every time no i think that
you said it perfectly i think that this was 100% an encapsulation of what they bring to the show
and not in a good way the carmela pivot what even for them was wild it was so shoehorned and
forced i was like are you fucking kidding me you guys are that boring that we have to pivot and go after
carmela already you don't even know her you guys met her one time in which she
She got you a gift.
And you have a problem with the gift?
Show it up your ass.
That makes no sense.
It was,
it's like,
here's my thing.
It's just fucking lazy.
It's the laziest house wifey option you can pick is go after newbie for something trivial.
Yep.
And it's because they have nothing to bring to the table.
And like,
that's what's so frustrating with Gina.
Are you the only realtor in the world,
lady?
Like the way you talk about.
Real estate.
Dude, it's the dating.
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, you back off.
It's the data group.
And you are not invited inside that gate.
Yeah.
Oh, that gatekeeping reality.
Like that's what she does.
That's the way she talks about it.
It's like, what are we fucking doing?
She knows the buzzwords, but I just don't really buy it.
She knows those words.
I know those words, but I use those words.
I live those words.
I can't wait to talk about her.
She's ridiculous.
I can.
But it's my big problem is,
I just I've been doing a lot of random like Sunday afternoons rewatching like old old seasons of Beverly Hills.
O.C.
whatever it is.
And it's so like funny.
Like the people that would I think piss me off now because they'd have to do this whole like new founds.
Like I got to keep my fucking personality intact.
I got to keep my image intact so I can brand myself.
They didn't do any of that before.
And that's all that Gina and Emily are doing at this point.
It's Gina especially now.
And it's not camp.
It's not fun.
Like I'm laughing at them, not with them.
And that's a big problem.
I think most people are.
And that's the big problem that we run into with a lot of these franchises now is they take themselves way too seriously.
Like, I'm sorry.
But Gene and Emily, you should just be goofy and have fun.
Like, look at Vicky.
Tamara obviously understands what's going on.
Shannon, the shick is just over.
I'm done with Shannon.
But everybody else, it's like, why are we going back to Gene and Emily?
Why are we having scenes?
I know we have to.
But like, why are they still in the show is probably the main question.
The central focus of this season so far.
I know.
You got Gina narrating everything.
You got Emily chiming it in multiple solo Emily scenes.
Like, what do you mean?
I don't want to watch that.
I don't get it.
I already don't like those.
You know, you're going to shove them down my throat?
Like, no.
I don't know.
Make the show just the trace amigas plus Heather.
Jen, I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop because I know whatever she's concoct.
I got a lot to say about her.
She's going to be interesting, too.
but I do think that her personal storyline
with all of her family stuff,
that's going to get like,
that's going to completely derail
whatever momentum she had towards the rest of the group.
And that makes sense.
Honestly,
it sounds like they're going through a lot.
There's a lot of things that they have to deal with.
So I'm not surprised if that happens
that I'm not even really going to blame her.
It's just,
you know,
timing of things kind of sucks.
But for everyone else,
like,
just do your job.
I mean,
the most enjoyable scene of the entire episode was the end.
And it was,
you know,
you can see it coming and it's because it's Vicky
and because Tamara does the same thing every season.
But it gets funnier,
her every time she does it. Shannon, I'm kind of over anyway, but everyone else. Like,
just do something, please. Yeah, it's that meme of a stick figure poking that thing with a stick.
Like, do something. Yeah. Do something. But yeah, let's start out here. Uh, we got Tamara and Eddie
in the beginning and they're moving Sophia out into her new place. And now you have the empty
nester conversation of, they've been raising kids for 40 years. It's time to nurture our relationship
with Eddie. So we're going to have Woodstock sex. And now you're going to have Woodstock sex.
Like everyone come over, we're going to have an orgy.
Whatever.
But we get Emily and her chiropractor.
Now, Emily obviously looks great.
She's been working hard in the offseason.
Credit where credits do.
But her and Shannon are getting together to see Tim, her chiropractor.
These are the scenes.
These are the scenes.
That's all I have to say, really.
I don't want to hear Shannon do her fucking schick.
I don't want to hear Shannon getting stretched and chiropractic.
screaming, like screaming the top of her lungs.
Like, come on.
Like, God damn it.
Why are we, I think that's probably where it gets under my skin the most.
They are grownups.
You are adults.
You've been to a chiropractor.
Like, don't, why are you acting like the first time you've been to a chiropractor?
It's like so excruciating.
You can't get through it.
It's not funny.
See, I think there's a level to it.
I think she's so far over the level that it's just not funny anymore because she's forcing it.
I would expect a lot of reality TV stars to go to a chiropractor and have,
have weird visceral reactions or weird things happen to them and they get weird in the camera.
And that is part of why it's so funny because these people aren't very real.
But she just takes it too far.
And then Emily's over there laughing.
Like I can't imagine being friends with somebody for that long, knowing somebody for that long.
And they're like, oh, you're coming Shannon again.
She's going to scream bloody murder because she's getting her back stretched out.
That's going to be so funny for the 50,000th time.
I'm over it.
So am I.
But Emily has an issue with the dinner.
her the other night. After Tamara and her had that whole conversation about the podcast stuff,
Tamara made a quote unquote joke in a very Tamara way of, oh, now I can tell Iheart to invite
you to these events. Ha ha ha. Ha. She's serious. She, she'd 100% blacklisted you from those things.
That's real, which is whatever. Like that kind of shit is funny. Like that we can talk about.
Like, let's talk about the I heart thing. What bothers me, and this is kind of Tamara's Emma,
know, like take ownership of that.
Like, yeah, I did.
You pissed me off.
Like I would, Tamara's in this weird spot now where she's doing this fake.
I've learned the error of my ways thing that she's been doing for three years.
And we watch the same exact cycle every season, right?
She comes back in, hat in hand, kind of, but then plays the victim.
Well, was me.
No one's talking to me.
Then she gets close to the couple people, burns the house down, and separates from the group
entirely at the end of the season. Wash, repeat.
What bugs me is like, now we have her in a spot where she's not being the villain,
but she's doing volonious things.
And I want her to just own that and lean, like, all the way in.
If she went full villain mode and just fuck everybody, like, I'm down for that, but this
middle ground of like, because I just get really tired of the scenes where it's the
Tamara apology.
and then we have to talk it through.
And then people like, you know what?
Let's move forward, which makes no sense because you know she's doing the same thing.
I think I've had a revelation of sorts.
Mostly because I have no problem necessarily with what Tamara's doing.
I like the middle ground because we've seen her go scorched earth.
It doesn't work.
The reason these things don't work.
The reason that we keep finding ourselves in this cycle is weirdly not because of Tamara.
It's because of everybody else.
I mean, she does these things.
She's trying and we've given her credit in the past.
like she tries to make things happen.
That is far and away just a funny joke.
Emily needs to handle it better.
That's the big problem.
Going home,
clutching pearls,
crying to Shane,
talking to Heather on the phone about it.
Like,
get over it.
It's a fucking joke or it's not.
Or you just approach it like,
you know what?
She probably fucking did do that.
That makes a lot of sense.
Let me hold on to that for a little while and not make a big deal about it.
But this is what Emily does every time.
It's what Gina does every time.
Heather even does it to some extent.
Just allow it to ruminate for a little bit.
and then bring it back and throw it in Tamara's face or go talk to people at eye heart and say,
hey, yeah, you know what?
Really happy to be back on the channel.
But Tamara did mention something.
I don't know if it was a joke.
It was in passing.
Did you guys blackball me from all of your award shows because Tamara told you to?
And then find out they might not tell you anything, but at least have that scene because
I feel like it furthers the story and it's just a one-off situation that Tamara threw out there.
But anything Tamara does is for the show.
So she's trying to stoke some sort of fire.
The problem is when she stokes that fire,
she's stoking it in people that just can't handle it like there's such babies it's like okay emily who
gives a shit you have a tap you tamara is the reason why your podcast got successful in the first place now
you're splitting off and doing a second podcast which i said i didn't ask for but that one actually
probably will do well because i've been wrestling with that idea just be okay with it it's not the end of
the world it's tamra handle it better that's the big problem that we run into with tamara
and i feel like she's just trying to always do something for the show and it just doesn't land
because she's not with the right crew.
But when she's with Vicky and Shannon,
it works a little bit better
because they know what they're getting with Tamara.
It's just something I've been kind of watching this whole time.
She tries to get everybody involved.
She's honestly like a point guard and she's giving the ball over to Emily.
And Emily's like, I don't know what to do with this.
What am I supposed to?
No, I have to figure this.
Like, come on.
Stop being a cry, baby.
That's fair.
Actually, I like that analysis because I agree to a certain extent.
I do also think that.
You don't like Tamara in any capacity.
So it's,
no, but I do appreciate.
what she brings to the show. I understand without her, like, we really wouldn't have a show to talk about.
So, like, that stuff doesn't bug me. It's this stuff where she's like, you know, I can't imagine harboring such feelings. It's like, you're an asshole to people. Then they react to it. And you act surprised every time. She does at the end of the episode and she starts the episode off with it. I guess it's just, there's a couple things. One, I agree with you. She is dishing the ball out. And then,
people freak out and airball it.
But I don't know.
I think I'm just tired of this same thing with her because it is so copy and paste.
It is you say something mean.
You want to move forward.
Somebody doesn't want to move forward with you.
Now you're the victim in the whole thing.
Like she goes to her confessional here.
And she's like, yeah.
Because a couple weeks ago, it was the ultimate girls thing at the quiet lady,
quiet woman.
Yeah.
And Tamara said a bunch of mean shit.
They asked Tamara.
Yeah, I do regret that for sure.
but like, come on, move on.
Like three weeks ago on the heels of years of this.
And then she plays that part.
And that's when I'm just like the lack of innovation or movement,
I think it gets under my skin.
Yeah.
And I think it also ties back into what I'm saying.
There's no second level to these things because it never gets there.
You need the other person to be able to interact in a way that's going to bring it forward
and make it something different.
But when you go around the cast, I mean, you have Shannon, at least right now,
at the end of this episode, it seems like we're going to start moving forward.
But as of now, she's stonewalling.
Carmela is too new.
Heather Stonewalls all the time.
So Emily and Gina are the only two left.
Gene is too scared of Tamara.
She'll stay out of the way.
I think we're realizing they all are.
Everyone's saying it this season.
But like, and I honestly, I don't blame Tamara that everybody's scared of her.
I blame them.
Like grow up.
Get used to it.
You've been doing this for six years at this point, five years,
however long Tamara's been back.
It's just brutal.
It just sucks every time because we know.
never get to that second layer.
That's a good point.
All right.
I'll watch it through that lens for a little while,
see if it makes me feel any better.
It won't, but I'll try.
No, it's not going to.
Jared and Ryan,
we get to them.
And obviously,
we know that there's stuff going on
with our kids who are seeing it in real time.
You know,
Grayson started a fire.
It's interesting knowing what happened.
We don't know if it was Grayson.
We don't know what's Grayson.
Allegedly.
Allegedly.
I really looked into it.
And every,
even TMZ was like one of her sons.
we don't know specifically.
I think people do at some point,
but as of today,
you have to suspect it's Grayson, though,
the way that he's going to win.
Process of elimination and then watching this.
Yeah, it doesn't look great for him,
but, you know, innocent till proven guilty.
And don't worry, she gave him a good talking to.
So that sure did.
But they're noticing some issues with him.
And here's where I immediately am like,
okay, again, knowing what's happening now,
allegedly, then watching the speeding ticket,
then watching them talk about it,
it very quickly entered the,
I don't think we should be hearing this kind of stuff,
like in that moment.
Because now I'm sitting there going,
this seems like a real cry for help.
This seems like a kid that's going through some actual shit
and needs his parents and we're filming it on TV.
Because even Ryan, and I thought Ryan was just,
I thought this is this move now,
is to be like, well, it's the dad's fault.
Because he brings that up.
because Jen's like, I think the ticket really got to him.
Like he's really going through it.
And I'm worried about him.
And Ryan, like, puts his foot down.
He's like, it's a lack of relationship with this father.
That's all it is, period.
And I thought he was just trying to force that in there to be able to talk about that.
And so that he looks like the night in shining armor like, oh, I came in and took over as these kids dads because their dad's a deadbeat.
That's what I thought he was trying to do.
But then we get confirmation from Grayson later.
It's like, yeah, I miss my dad.
And I'm like, oh, he called it.
Yeah.
No, Ryan really did.
And I think last year when we were still,
honestly,
we're still pretty skeptical of Ryan,
but we don't see nearly as much of him.
We don't really see anybody.
I mean,
we've seen Michael,
Vicki's boyfriend more than we've seen anybody else.
We saw Eddie sitting on a couch today.
That's the second time that we've seen him.
What's that?
I'm out of Michael now.
Oh,
why are you out on Michael?
Because he's with holding the ring,
like to dangle like a carrot.
I don't really care that much.
It's kind of funny.
But no,
I think I felt the same way,
because it does seem like that's what Ryan's trying to do.
And I'm sure that happens a lot where it's like,
all right.
Like, you know, if these were my kids,
I would have raised them better type of thing.
I,
he might have a read on this situation.
I still don't like the way he talks.
It's very abrasive.
But I imagine that him and Jen have had this conversation a lot.
And based on the way this episode plays out,
Jen won't allow herself to think that.
And that's part of the problem.
And I agree with you.
This is one of those situations where it's like,
I don't know if we should really be getting into this.
We can touch.
on it a little bit, but maybe not a full conversation with the kid unless he's willing or whatever.
So there's a lot going on there.
But Ryan, yes, his abrasive nature always turns me off.
But he might be right.
And maybe he does have a read on it.
Maybe he understands what's going on.
I mean, they do live in his house.
So he might be able to pick up on things here and there.
Yeah, I mean, I'm not discrediting him entirely because he is there.
And he does seem to be involved.
He's just kind of a dick.
He's a dick.
So when these, I think it's two things can be true at once.
I think he does care.
I also think it's a chance for him to score brownie points on TV where it's like,
I stepped up.
His dad sucks.
But anyway, we get to Emily and Heather FaceTiming.
And here's where Heather, this is what she does every season.
And this drives me nuts because she's bummed out by Jen.
And her big thing is that Jen broke her trust by going to Tamara and telling Tamara what Heather said about her.
it just gives me a reason to like take a step back.
We need a montage of how many steps back she's taken over the past three years.
Because this happens every year.
It doesn't have to be a newbie.
It's like friendship in episode one, one comment from that person that she's friends with.
I'm going to take a step back.
That's fucking boring.
But you hang with Tamara all the time.
I know.
It is really boring.
And she doesn't hang out with Tamara.
I don't think Heather hangs out with anybody.
I really don't.
I mean, her words, her and Tamara.
Tamara gets all these passes, but meanwhile, she takes steps back from everybody.
Right.
Yeah, she takes steps back from everybody else.
But it's really just, and I accuse her of this all the time.
So I'm just going to stay on it.
She understands how these things work out.
She's seen it happen to other people.
She knows how it goes during the course of a season.
I can see where you're doing with that.
I'm going to take a step back so that I can't get too involved.
And then I don't really have to have a hard season.
Heather just doesn't want to have a hard season.
She wants it to be easy, breezy,
filming. That's why she only films with Terry. She goes to these events. She has sit downs one
on one here and there, but she never actually has to endure a whole lot. Now, obviously,
the clip for next week's episode looks like maybe Emily's going to get involved and say something,
but we know that's not going to last. We've played this game before. Emily has tried to go
at Heather. Heather Stonewalls or she turns off, she moves away, then Emily comes back groveling.
That's what I expect for the rest of the season too. Unless somebody shows me otherwise,
I'm not going to believe it, but that is her move. Her move is not, it's not like I need to
take a step back from this friendship. It's I need to take a step back so that I don't get
caught in the fire of this season. So I get to just relax. That's all she ever wants to do.
Yeah. I think you're right. It's just, I don't know, that wears thin real quick.
Because I like Heather. And I don't know why because she doesn't do it. But I like, I like,
I like her as a person. I, and I think she can do more.
That's why. Because like as a person, like you seem nice. You seem delightful. Like can you just
show up to work once, just one time. Come to work with your lunch.
veil, but as they're talking, this was unbelievable because Emily brings up this bag that she got.
She goes, yeah, I got home and I had this gift bag and Shane asked me what was in there.
And at the party, Carmela kept asking me, oh, did you open your gift bag?
Did you open your gift bag?
And inside was a nice Dior clutch.
Do you think her intent was to give a nice gift?
Or do you think she was trying to have a moment?
Are you fucking kidding me?
Who cares?
And also how many of these housewives across the board do this shit on TV to show and have a moment to be like, yeah, here's a nice bag I can afford.
You think a newbie coming on this show and buying everybody in the group, a gold Dior clutch doesn't want to show that off on TV?
Of course she does.
It's a statement.
It's like, hey, I'm here to play.
Hey, I got money.
Here you go, ladies.
If it is a moment, good.
She's doing her job.
But the fact that you're going to sit there with Heather and try to question her intentions and try to paint Carmela is thirsty.
She's brand new to the show.
You don't know her.
And this gatekeeping of OC is the reason that this show sucks so much.
Because all of these ladies, you're only allowed to have this tiny little group.
And if anyone invades this group, oh, we don't, we can't have that.
We got to force everyone out that we don't like because that's how this show is going to function.
Well, this show is awful.
and this is exactly why
because this is what happens to newbies that come in
you stonewall them you make fun of them
for getting a fucking gift like that's the show
we want to see money
what do it I was it was even for Emily
it was like you gotta be fucking kidding
it's such just like it's a non-talking point
really yeah I mean I'd rather Emily
I guess Heather kind of said that too
she's like what are we like putting our thumb on our nose
up at this this de-orgian
gift. No, we're not doing that. Oh, there's a dilda or a vibrator in there. Now we've got a problem.
If Terry walks into the room and says, oh, I get it. It's a joke. If you don't like the bag,
you can go fuck yourself. That's funny. Okay, cool. Thanks, Terry, for having a sense of humor or at least
try to read into it and play it off like a joke or something funny. These two are sitting here like,
I can't believe that she would do that. Why would she do? Shame came in, swooped in and grabbed it right
away. Meanwhile, you flash over to Carmela
talking to her girls about it and they're all laughing
about it because of how stupid it is. I don't
think it was meant to be a joke. I think it was like
I don't really know you, but like I want to
show you that I'm kind of quirky and I feel
something. I'm fun. Yeah, like
I'm fun, a wild. You never know what to expect
for me. It's such a non-talking
point. Even if it was brought up in like
a nice way, I'd be like, oh, that's kind of cool. Let's
move on. Let's just move on. But this
weird, oh, I can't
believe this she would do. Do you think she was trying to have a moment?
Do you think she was trying to show the rest of the women
I can afford like no we're not we're not doing that like it's just because you and gina are like oh wow
a dior bag i don't know if i could buy that and then i get it bought for me like it's just it's boring
it's so boring these two and like the vibrator thing how many vibrators dildoes and penile objects
have you seen on every one of these shows of course Shane had a panic attack he probably freaked
oh that's like the least surprising news ever emily yeah but why do we all have to be
fucking bummers
because you guys are losers.
That's what I don't get. That's what sets
the tone for this show.
It's not fun. That's not fun.
Damn it.
It's not fun. It's not fun at all.
The war is over and both
sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced
to cinders, an army
scattered like bones in the dust.
Now the survivors
claw to what's left of a broken
world, praying the dark
chooses someone else tonight.
But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins.
This is old school adventuring at its most cruel.
Your torch ticks down in real time.
And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job.
This is a brutal rules light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the
decisions that the characters make.
This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s.
And man, it is so good to be back.

Follow Neferi. That's N-E-F-E-R-TV, wherever you get your podcasts.
Let's get to Jen and Vicky and Gina.
And of course, and it's so contrived, and I will call out it every time.
Gina's like, oh, I would love a coffee.
That's what she sounds like when she forces that shit out.
But anyway, I'll try to stop shitting on things for like two seconds, guys.
I'm working on it.
But she brings up a pre-nup because her and Travis are getting married.
She's doing well.
So she's now thinking about the finances and the potential future of their finances and blah, blah, blah, blah.
Which, yes, I don't like you, Gina.
But, yes, protect your money.
okay take care of that there's no reason for you to not have one and then we talk about
Michael and that's what I said earlier I don't like that we're dangling rings I don't like that
we're like oh if you shape up what does that mean you shape up if you be a good girl I'll give you
a ring like you yeah that's what I got from it but again I didn't see him say that we don't
know if he definitely said that and also brother see that yeah whatever I have no problem
with that I think it's kind of goofy and funny it's it's all about how Vicki
Jackson would have Vicki's having like an absolute meltdown, which Vicki meltdowns are pretty funny anyway.
But if she's having an absolute meltdown about it, she's freaking out about it.
Yeah, it might be sad or like, all right, we have to look at Michael.
We spent too much time looking at shitty dudes.
I'm not looking for anymore.
Our roster's full.
That's a good point.
We'll just put an asterisk next to him and kind of stick them over here for now.
But yeah, the Shannon and Tamara thing, yeah, put him in a box.
Get one of Heather's boxes and put him in there.
But the Shannon and Tamara thing comes up.
And again, like I know what Bickie's trying to do.
I appreciate what Vicki's trying to do.
Even Gina points it out, though, because she's like,
we don't have to condone what Tamara's done,
but like lead by example and move on.
She was like, I mean, it was three weeks ago.
Like literally three weeks ago.
And she said, what did she say?
She said, Shannon's a drunk and she'll never have a man,
never find a man.
Like two very mean things to say specifically about Shannon.
So yes, I agree for the show's sake,
let's move on in some capacity.
We get something like that at the end of this.
I don't know if it's going to last for very long,
but we do need things to start landing.
Like taking all cynicism out of it,
we need some things to start working
because it really is so far a copy and paste of last season
and the season before that.
So if these two coming back together
and the trace amiga is getting back together
and if they have a fun time for the remainder of the season
or even half of the season,
I think that's a big step in a generally okay direction.
I'm not going to say in a good direction,
but a generally okay direction.
That is an episode I can watch.
Yeah, I think that is a season that we can get through.
It's probably the best way that we can do that.
But they keep talking about this.
It's actually kind of funny because I had a minor heart attack
when I went on Peacock and the first thing that popped up was Ultimate Girl's Trip.
Like, did that fucking start this week too?
We have so many shows on.
How does that make any sense?
but it doesn't start until I think August 9th.
We keep making references to this.
I'm surprised we're referencing it so much
and we're hearing all of the things that happened
when we did, I guess it was Vicki Stop
and when we stopped over at OC
and we started talking about it or Shannon Stop or whatever the hell it was.
I'm surprised we're still talking about it.
I figured that maybe they would try to line it up a little bit better
so we could see it and talk about it.
We will probably see it in the next month or so, I would imagine.
I don't know how long that show is going to be.
I mentioned it's probably like 15 to 20 episodes though.
So I think it's kind of interesting.
I mean, it's the same cycle that Shannon and Tamara have been on forever.
And it's really just a matter of, okay, can we get back to a point where we don't have to check in with Shannon every time Tamara enters a room.
Like, are you talking to you talking to Tamara?
No, there's no movement there.
Like this isn't like a Shannon stick that we're over.
This is real world shit.
Yes, you wouldn't be friends with her anymore.
But for the show, can we all just move on and at least stop talking about?
I don't care if you guys even talk to each other at the party.
I just don't want to keep doing the confessionals.
Like, did you try to talk to Shannon?
You know, she just doesn't want anything to do with me.
Hey, Shannon, did you try to talk to Tamara?
No, I don't want to talk to her.
Okay, cool.
Thanks for wasting like two minutes of my time.
Yep, exactly.
So some kind of movement in a different direction, whatever that is.
Like you said, it could be simply being able to coexist.
And I'd be fine with that.
We get to Carmela and her kids.
Now, I'm not here to tell anybody how to parent.
nor will I.
But we've had two episodes, one in which the son's not going to track practice.
No, Jax, you silly, silly man.
You better get there next time.
And now we've got her daughter skipping school to, quote, get a tan and quote, catch up on her shows.
And she's like, ah, you guys, you little rascals, you skip in school for serious stuff.
But we don't know, like, what time.
And maybe her kid is like a super senior or, you know, you know how we had that time like after
February senior year.
You just, you don't really do a whole lot.
She missed class.
I'm not here to comment on her parenting.
I'm just, I'm pointing out what happened.
I'm not giving an opinion.
Yeah.
One way or another.
Just pointing out.
I'm going to point out that their relationship looks good.
And they look like a happy fabric.
They get along and they can talk about weird shit together.
Like having six dildos and vibrators in the Amazon gift card.
Yep.
Yeah.
And that's, I mean, all it is is getting to know Carmela more.
Yeah, we get some background.
And after being in Playboy, she realized how vulnerable it makes you in, in the public.
And so she's very cautious for their daughters.
She told a story about macing an entire crowd of people, but we're just getting more background on Carmela.
So far, I like her.
I think that she's a very different addition to this show.
I think that's exactly what this show needs is different.
So I'm crossing my fingers, but we'll see how she, uh, shake.
out. Now, we get Emily and Jen putting on clothes. Ryan takes up the whole closet. The
surprising thing ever. I do have a question, though, because they're talking about their kids here
where Jen's saying the ticket affected Grayson so much. And Emily talks about last year with
Annabelle because she was going her stuff with Luke. And Annabelle felt neglected. So she
had to go and try to reconnect with her. But my question for you, Shane wears in and out shirts
every day. Is he owning
in and out? Not that
I know of. He's not like
Maybe he does.
He comes from Utah like
Mormon money. Yeah, maybe
he does franchises. What's his last name?
Shane Simpson? Or is that just her last name?
No idea. Absolutely no idea.
This is the problem with Shane and Emily for that
matter. They're just not interesting enough
for me to ever want to know these things. And I
think that everybody kind of does the same thing.
Because if this was like an interesting house husband,
be like, oh, wow.
Yeah.
Does this J.B.
Husband boss own an In-N-Out?
Like, I would want to know that.
But when you get to Shane, I'm like, yeah, I don't really know or care.
Does he wear?
What is an In-N-Out shirt anyway?
I think it's like a shirt that one of the workers wears.
Wow, yeah.
Maybe he just works at one.
He's frequently linked through fan.
Oh, no, he's just a big fan of it.
He likes to eat it a lot.
That's good.
Then we spend like an entire half a season talking about Shane's health and what he was
eating and he was just downing like 40 to,
those like super big gulps of again he's Mormon that's what people are you taught too they have
those dirty soda sips sips suds I don't know what was the place that they went to in
Slamboa secret lives um yeah sure maybe I don't remember it's dirty soda yeah they are soda people
that's all that happens in that scene that is all that happens
Let's get to what was actually very satsy.
And we got Tamara with Teddy.
And I felt for Teddy, like, this is some heavy shit.
She's talking about, you know, she's kind of coming up the other side of this thing.
And people say or doctor said, or you should be grateful.
Some people can't walk after this or they can't really do anything.
I'm saying sometimes I'm not grateful.
Like, I feel like I'm letting people down.
It's all of the different layers of what going through a cancer diagnosis and recovery
and all that is, and it's very sad, it's very real.
And I felt for Teddy.
I don't feel for Tamara.
Like, this to me was weird.
And maybe I'm just-
Just showing different scenes about how she made it out of-
Oh, you know, it was really hard on me.
Like, yeah, sure, but what?
Like, you're sitting with, Teddy asks her.
She's like, I know this was tough on you.
I'm like, are we really doing this?
Like, I get it that people-
I get it.
Here's the problem.
If Tamara was just a good person
that everybody liked it,
it's like, all right,
you're a really good person.
I don't think we'd be having this discussion.
I don't think that if she brought up like,
hey,
my best friend has cancer,
she's really going through it.
There's a lot of things going on
and it's affecting me.
I think everybody would be like,
yeah,
okay, that makes sense.
I think it does make sense
that it affected her.
It makes sense.
Well, here's what I think happens.
Tamara went to therapy.
She did however long therapy,
maybe about four sessions.
in therapy, we saw her talking about Teddy's diagnosis and all the things that she was going through and how it was affecting her.
That was it.
I think that's all it was, was just getting that confirmation from a therapist.
You know, that was like the worst therapist.
She was an astro therapist, wasn't it?
Yeah, I think she just got that gratification.
Like, okay, so I'm not crazy to like really be going through all these things and having it bleed into my social life.
Cool.
Doesn't hear anything else.
So I think that's all really this is.
But again, it's just part for the course.
again, I do think at a base level, yeah, of course it affected you.
Your best friend is almost dying and going through a lot of shit and it's affecting your life.
But I do think there is a semblance of Tamara was making every little indication,
every little thing that she got involved in last year and especially last season when she was really having a blow up.
She just blamed it all on the fact that she's been going through it because Teddy was going through it,
which is wrong.
She just never really meshed or unmatched the two together.
That was kind of my point.
Yeah.
I just don't understand how you're talking to the person that was diagnosed with cancer
about how hard her cancer diagnosis has been on you.
Well, she's an asshole.
So of course she was.
Yeah,
I know.
It was just,
I thought,
I don't know.
I think you're probably right.
But I don't know.
Even if she wasn't an asshole all the time,
I still think I would have watched this like,
uh,
yeah.
I,
if it was the nicest person in the world,
I think it may have even gotten close to it.
Yeah.
It's a sweet scene.
Like,
oh,
that's nice.
You guys are really close.
You know what I mean?
So, yeah, like, I don't deny it.
I definitely don't deny it.
I'm sure it was hard on her.
Yeah, it's, but it's just hammer.
So it's really hard to be able to see her in a different light.
Yeah, I guess so.
But, Gita and Travis go to dinner.
And then we get to Jen and Grayson.
I mean, well, come on, guys.
When are we getting married?
I don't know.
What about the names?
Like, we talked about this.
Fucking name.
Got it.
We have spent a collective 10 minutes talking about her last name.
I'm her kid.
Mom, I don't give a shit.
It doesn't matter to me.
I get it.
I understand the importance of figuring this out.
I don't think it's important enough to be on reality TV.
I just don't.
I mean, like, I know you, yeah, Gina and Travis, I think, God, the collective growth from
the production team.
What are we doing today?
What's on this?
Oh, Gina and Travis are going out to dinner?
What are they going to talk about?
Can we do a stationary camera and just like set it up and just follow them?
I don't want to be there for that.
Like the producers probably don't even want to be standing there for that one.
They just leave it there.
No, I mean, genuinely five minute conversation, most of it, Gina's confessional of, you know, maybe I'm making this a bigger deal.
You are.
You are.
And we don't care.
But Jen and Grayson, oof, big oof.
for Jen on this one. And I agree. I think we're seeing a downturn, a downtrend with her.
She checks in with Grayson, which I've already said my feelings on this. I think that this is not,
this confirmed it. We shouldn't be doing this on TV. This seems like something's really going on with her son.
And I will give her credit. Like we appreciate people that are authentic. But there is a line when the kids are involved.
We like to say leave the kids out of it. But she's trying to.
have a moment with him like, hey, you know, I'm not mad at you. I just want to know what's going on.
Like the ticket thing. You seem like you kind of walled off lately. Like what's happening?
And he starts to open up, which I appreciate. Like, all right, good for you. And he's talking about
how not seeing his dad every day is really hard and the divorce is affecting him and all of the
shit's going on at school and kids are being assholes to him. And it's kind of a lot to deal with.
He literally says it feels like things have been hard.
As he's talking about it, Jen has the realization that this is not over.
She thought they were free and clear of the divorce stuff.
Finds out, nope, it's fucking up your kid right now.
And then we have to watch as her 17 or 18 year old son who's currently going through something,
he's comforting her.
He's making sure mom's okay.
Hey, mom, you can have your moment.
Go in your closet when you're done with the conversation and have a good cry.
Why are you getting comforted by the kid that you're worried about?
Get it together.
I think one, I don't think that this scene should have been included.
I think we should have gotten a scene with Ryan and Jen sitting down or Jen and anybody from the cast sitting down and talking about it.
Not the kid.
when it comes into the details
of everything else
I don't
I mean I kind of
it's nice that the kid is realizing
like I think Jen's like really spiraling
because she's not realizing
like we said in the beginning
when we were talking about her
and Ryan talking about it
she has absolutely just forgot
like she's just not looking at it
she's turning a blind eye actively
acting like everything's going to be fine
which is tough to watch
and probably really tough to be involved in
when you're living there whether it's Ryan
or Grayson or the other kids or whatever it might be
So there's a lot more going on here.
I just think personally, just kind of pluck it and just go and have a scene with Jen and Ryan talking about it.
Because it is uncomfortable.
It is real.
I mean, it's very real.
I mean, if Jen's really freaking out and the kids at least like aware enough to be like, all right, like, I have to fit things to figure out.
But like, I'm also, I love you, mom.
So I want to make sure you're okay.
Like that's, there's a lot of psychological things going on there.
He's got a lot of things to deal with.
I don't know.
I think it's a little too real for reality TV.
I don't really want to touch on it.
anymore. I don't want to like speculate or talk anymore about it. But I don't know. Yeah,
I agree with you. It's nice to see authenticity, but tough one to,
tough one to watch on screen. It shouldn't be there. It feels so real. And it looks like you're
looking at a, you know, a teenager really going through some shit, which is a very difficult
time in everyone's life. So yeah, I think we chalked this one up under the, we should not be seeing
this. And for the kids sake, it shouldn't be on national TV.
me. But yeah, I stand
firm in the, I can't believe
that we had to watch him comfort her.
Like, that's, that was kind of crazy.
But, Vicky, Tamara,
and Shannon, the Trace Amiga sit down.
And this scene was fun. Like, I'd had
no issues with this scene. I mean, obviously
the details of the scene are more
of the same where it's Tamara. I'm not apologizing.
I did all last year.
And Shannon arrives and she's like, I don't
want to sit down with this woman and blah, blah,
blah. Having Vicky
there, I think from
just a show standpoint.
I think what it's doing,
whether they get along or not,
them being Tamara and Shannon,
I think Vicki's presence is enough of a like Bob to say,
hey,
we need you two to figure it the fuck out to the point that we brought Vicky back to
mediate to try to figure out how to get you two to film together
without having the same song and dance.
And it goes fine.
It goes how I thought it would.
Yeah,
which thankfully it actually went as well as,
We thought it was going to.
I just loved Vicky's interjections,
even before Shannon walks in, like, hey,
have you considered saying, I'm sorry?
Maybe start off that way.
That all sounds great.
Can we throw it?
I'm sorry at the beginning.
Well, I have nothing to apologize.
Okay, well, you're not going to accomplish anything.
She's not going to take it.
We didn't see any of the inner workings of this.
We didn't see like the meeting beforehand,
like Vicki reaching out to Shannon saying,
hey, how about you and Tamara sit down or reaching out to Tamara
and talking. We got like bits and pieces as we go along, but we didn't really see that
kind of play out. So it kind of popped up out of nowhere. I didn't really expect Shannon to take
this meeting, but I think it just shows how much power Vicky has in this, in this, the Trace
Amigos and the three of them sitting together and actually talking through things. I was just crack it
off every time that Vicki interjected. Like, uh, nope, wait, listen to her. And then say it back to her.
It's working. Sorry. It's happening. Look, hey, I'm taking this as an absolute win. Like,
she was so great during this. This is exactly what you want from Vicki.
She has found a very good role.
I think that she's kind of waiting into the waters right now.
She will get more involved as we go on.
But I think she's right now absolutely killing it.
And that's what I want.
And again, we need Shannon and Tamara to figure fucking something out.
I don't need you to be friends.
Be friends to Vicky and then kind of pass through her.
Use her as the go between at all times because it never works when the two of you
are hanging out.
So just if you have something to say, go tell Vicky.
Vicki will soften it and tell Tamara.
Vice versa.
Whatever's going to work out.
That's the only way that I can see this ever working.
out or at least lasting an entire season.
But it was funny.
And it's all because of Vicky.
Agreed.
And I think that that's what we should take away from this scene is what we have on our
hands is a potential way forward for a little while.
Shannon and Tamara will always end in tears.
Like it's just a matter of how long we can avoid that.
But for the time being, with Vicky being added into the mix,
we may get a different direction for a while.
And I think that, you know, I don't think the show is a home run with just that fix.
But it's definitely more tolerable because the Shannon Tamer thing leaks into everything.
And then we can't talk about anything else.
And then it's like a big shit show.
So it's a reason to hope.
And that's what we need.
You just need a glimmer.
Just a glimmer.
But let's get some questions.
Uh, from Miss B.
Spectacle.
No.
is the only statement here.
Just no.
Yeah, I get it.
I get it.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I understand that.
Blacksmith, Trev, am I the only one that spent more time on the phone than watching the episode with a snooze emoji?
Probably not, guys.
Probably not.
Definitely not.
Oh, God.
From saver.
How are you still watching this?
Guys, ask questions.
All right?
We can't do this every time.
Oh, yeah.
I did.
T-Gal nail.
Did you notice the flashback to Tamara's daughter?
Sidney, I did.
Yes, and I thought that was an interesting move for Tamara,
who claims to just what a relationship with her daughter,
but her daughter has explicitly said,
please leave me off the show.
And yet she finds a way to shoehorn her in every season,
which I'm sure damages their relationship more.
Yeah, I didn't even notice it, to be honest.
We'll end on this one,
since everybody else is just saying no or I am not watching.
but I'm listening to you guys from Rachel Nicholas.
No, you guys are busy, but can you do a news app?
A lot going on with Summer House?
I don't think there's a lot going on in Summerhouse,
but there is a lot going on with the SLC divorces.
Yeah, so Angie and Sean separated.
We actually, I think everybody except for,
did you see Lisa Barlow posted a picture of her and J.B.
It's like always together, love.
She flexed on them getting separated.
Oh, my God.
Well, you know, to be fair,
it is really funny I mean I love her but it was like three or four days apart
Angie and Sean are getting separated and then somebody started looking into Whitney and
Justin and they're like they don't do anything together they're separate all the time
and then you get some coffee yeah they've been separated for probably two years nobody cares
enough with Whitney but yeah there is a lot going on there I don't think there's a lot going
on summer house it's just a lot of people that keep posting pictures of like Hampton's houses
like this is the new house and then every comment underneath it's like Lindsay already said
it's not that house.
Sally did post it.
Did you see that?
Sally Carson,
wasn't the wrong house.
Okay.
Well,
what she's trying to do is remind people that she still hangs out with Kyle.
She does.
Yeah.
She's been going to the Hampsons pretty much every weekend this summer, which is,
wait,
did you hear who he's hooking up with or hooked up with?
Ava.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know what the funny thing is?
I'm pretty sure that the brunching question with Amanda and West is,
also the time that Kyle and
Ava started hooking up.
So,
fun brunch,
really fun brunch.
It may be a different thing
because I know there was another brunch
maybe a little bit later
and it may have been that one
because there were a lot of next gen people
with the Summer House people.
But other than that,
I can't think of anything else going on.
I mean,
there's people showing up
at Jesse Solomon's concerts.
That's pretty much it.
We had nothing going on in summer house.
I don't know.
Well, Rachel, check in next time and let us know.
Yep.
But, yeah, I don't know.
We'll see where this show goes as per usual.
I don't have a lot of hope.
I appreciate your temperament.
You seem to be in a neutral slash optimistic space.
It's the one they get there.
The Vicky effect.
Yeah, that's it for me.
All right.
Well, we'll see what it happens.
But that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
Oh, that's our show.
Robbros are out of here.
Goodbye, Kyle.
Did the sound of those words call to you like Pavlov's dog?

New episodes every Wednesday and Friday.
The tutors were probably the most scandalous dynasty in British history.
The season of vulgar history were spilling the tea on this messy, messed up family in the people,
who had to live through it all.
Anne Boleyn and the other wives of Henry VIII
are known today from the musical 6,
but who were they really?
Did any of them actually want to marry him?
Henry the 8th, the man who was literally the worst?
How did two of them manage to escape with their heads intact?
We'll also get into historical mysteries,
like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays?
Who was the real Bloody Mary?
What was happening elsewhere in the world
while the tutors were trampling all over England,
like the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke colony
and the true story of the girl known as Pocahont.
I'll be joined by tutor historians, experts, and a few of my friends who really hate Henry
the 8th to learn all about the tutors this season on vulgar history.
Because it's fucking Henry the 8th all day, every day.
Listen to vulgar history wherever you get podcasts.
