Starting point is 00:00:00 I have not checked socials. I'm trying to watch this show strictly from a my perspective situation. So I'm not influenced by outside noise. So far, I'm enjoying this show. I think that there is a good show in here. I don't know if it's like, you know, earth-shattering best show ever, but I do think that there's a decent cast, and I think that this show has potential to be fairly solid.
Starting point is 00:00:26 And everybody knows each other, which is very, very, very helpful. We're not learning new people on the fly. We're not figuring out new ways to handle drama and conflict. It's pretty much you get what you see and take it like that, which I'm fine with. It's a good foundation. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a...
Starting point is 00:00:50 I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Bravo. Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Rob Bros, your favorite podcast from the Bros for everybody. For whoever wants to listen, I'm your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only J.F.K. Gooder. What's up, dude?
Starting point is 00:01:20 I was expecting a love Gooder, but, you know, I'll take JayfK. A love store Goots. I love shoots. I love shoots. I love shoots. Okay, I'll take that one. uh yeah carroll big triumphant return round of applause for carroll we're just got to like everything everything's been going well stop in with her for uh hey what have you been up to for the last eight
Starting point is 00:01:41 years definitely not on the upstine list definitely not on the upstian list and uh never had any conflict with bravo there was no falling out there were no issues i've just been living my life and renovating my kitchen slash office slash kitchen that's what i've been up to don't worry about me guys just plug and play that's what we want and i honestly i'm fine with that that's exactly what i wanted I didn't want to spend too much time talking about Carol and what she's been up to. She's good as a plug in play. She's good as throw her out there. She has connections with the cast.
Starting point is 00:02:10 She's friends with some of them. She's friends with Aaron, which is going to bode well moving forward or not well, depending on how she handles it. And that's all I really want. But to your earlier point about socials, I haven't seen a lot of hate, haven't seen a ton of love,
Starting point is 00:02:24 but mostly, and this is just the soft Bravo fan era that we're in, people don't like that Aaron is questioning things. People don't like that Aaron's talking shit, which I think is bizarre. Like that is the whole point of these shows is what Luann is doing on Ultimate Girl's Trip, but it's also to have someone on the cast like Aaron and someone on the cast like Jessel who's going to make inappropriate commentary. Yeah, we need a villain.
Starting point is 00:02:48 And you can frame that however you want. Villain doesn't necessarily mean like the worst person doing awful things. Villain is a contrarian. We need somebody that's going to irritate people. by just being themselves. Apparently, that's Aaron. That has been Aaron in seasons past, but she didn't want to lean into it.
Starting point is 00:03:07 She would get insecure or she'd get butt hurt and then it would be a whole thing and that was annoying. It appears as though that brief hiatus, maybe she had a sit down with some of the OG villains or maybe Bravo was like, hey, toughen the fuck up. I don't know. But if she keeps going this route, I'm fine with it because there's a sense of delusion in there.
Starting point is 00:03:25 There's quite clearly a sense of she's not going to change as we see at the very end of this episode. And it does bode well that she's tight with Carol because Aaron, Carol versus Jessel and crew, because quite clearly Carol is going to hate Jessel now after that performance at the end, which was even for Jessel kind of back. Pretty tough. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:48 But no, I liked her return. You know, there's no reason to bog the show down, like, diving into her nonsense over the past eight years or whatever. So we kind of jump right back into it with her. But overall, like you said, it's so funny how shows work better when the cast knows each other. How simple of a concept is that? Let's not go. It's like trying to go out and sign a bunch of free agents to a major league baseball team. That doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Use some homegrown. Don't go to Andy Ball. Don't go to Andy Ball to sign nine dudes. They didn't win. They didn't win the World Series. but they made a movie about it. And Brad Pitt was a movie about it. That's true.
Starting point is 00:04:33 So Jonah Hill. How did they do the year after the money? Terrible. Weren't they like the worst team ever? One of the worst in the history of baseball yet. It was I think they were like 41 and 100. Yeah, it was something outrageous. Yeah, it was a really, really bad team.
Starting point is 00:04:49 So clearly there was a shot in the dark there. We don't talk about that. Look, look, actually, that's on brand. We don't talk about that. And we also should not talk. about those two seasons of Roney. We just shouldn't. And honestly, throw in the last season of the OGs too.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Like, let's not talk about that one either. Okay. Let's talk about the glory days and we'll talk about what we have here because it's current and maybe, although I hope not, we won't talk about this either. But right now we're off to a very good start. And I don't want to do it. Bravo's funny because they're like, just in case you guys don't know and you're just coming back to watch Carol and the newbies and maybe a Martha Stewart connection.
Starting point is 00:05:24 This is what we've been doing with just Cy, Erin, and jessel and it's almost like they have like a filter on everybody else's face like we can't show them god forbid we put brin don't even reference the old people we can't even talk about uba we have to talk about her cousin so like yeah we're not doing anything we're not talking about those people so let's just not talk about those seasons let's just move on with our lives and let's act like they didn't happen because they were a colossal failure but for this show as far as where we are and what carl's going to bring to the table because that is our first scene with her moving her car back and forth Quirky Carol is exactly what she brings to the show.
Starting point is 00:06:01 She's going to have some very, very intellectual comments. She's going to talk about her book. She's now obviously going to talk about her relationship with the Kennedys. But she's also just going to be quirky. And she doesn't need to be center stage. I know people are like, whoa, Carol's back. This is crazy. And when she was all watched what happened is live last year, everybody was really excited.
Starting point is 00:06:17 But she is not the star of the show. She's a very, very, very good. Maybe you could even say like the best supporting character that there's been over the last 20 years. I'm sure there would be arguments there. but she is very good at what she does. I agree. I'm excited to see her back. I'm excited to see where this cast kind of goes.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I think that, like you said, it's a good foundation. That's what we look for. I know we watch it a little differently than a lot of people. But early on in a new cast or a new show, and I'm just framing this basically as a new show, we're looking for the cornerstones. Like, what are we going to build on? Does this cast know each other?
Starting point is 00:06:52 Do they get along? Are they vibing? Does it seem organic and natural? Do we have somebody that goes against the? the grain. Those are all kind of the boxes that we check. Thus far, I've checked all of those boxes. Like I said, is it a heavy hitter? I don't know, but it's definitely solid for now. And that's all I need. That's all I need, especially given they got a grace period too because it's coinciding with OC. So it doesn't have to be great. It has to be tolerable. And then we'll love it
Starting point is 00:07:20 because you're comparing it to a big pile of shit over on the West Coast. But so far, so good. jump in. I love that we start out with Carol and her OG Grand Cherokee. That's her quote unquote. We got conflicting stories though because she made it seem like that was her office. I was like, oh, that's kind of funky. You go there every day. You're like the Lincoln lawyer. He's popping your grand Cherokee and make some calls. No, you don't. You're just moving it because the street sweepers coming in. That's not actually your office. Which is fine. It's fine. And I love that we do get the confirmation that other people do it too, because it could have just easily been a weird thing that she does, she doesn't want to lose her parking spot.
Starting point is 00:07:59 And I know Erica even says later, well, why don't you just pay for a parking spot? This is what she does. She's a real New Yorker. Totally fine. But watching other people behind her do the same thing. And we didn't even have to focus on them. You could just see like four or five cars just kind of melting into the other side of the
Starting point is 00:08:15 stream and coming back over was very funny. And I love that we got that payoff. But yeah, I didn't expect it to start off like this. I'm happy that it did because it is who Carol is. Let's just start off in a very weird way. with her in like a 1995 grand charickey with a staple cut yeah it was great and like stapling the roof back on the car like the the fabric or whatever but erika pops by erika i've thoroughly enjoyed so far i didn't know anything about her prior to this but i've liked her on screen i like what she
Starting point is 00:08:43 brings to the show and apparently martha stewart is the glue that holds all of these women together because everybody knows her yeah i'm cool with that that's what i want same if we reference every episode with just a cutscene over to like a picture or a short party clip and Martha Stewart's there and that's the only Martha we get. Fine. But again common ground amongst the group.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Even if it's just Martha Stewart, that's common ground amongst everybody. We can build off of that into bigger things. Plus, we might see Martha back on our screens more and more, which would be great. Also justice for Martha, the fact that she went to prison for that and all these dudes do the same shit.
Starting point is 00:09:25 They don't go to jail. fuck or shit team Martha for life but anyway I got stuck for a second there because you did say that's the only Martha we get and I'm like what other Martha would we get Martha Washington? Martha's Vineyard who other yeah Martha Washington who is Martha Washington is Martha's Vineyard Martha Washington's
Starting point is 00:09:43 no no can't be no it's definitely not how sure are we though I'm 99.9% sure that Martha's Vineyard is not named after Martha Washington I don't know any other Martha's it up my aunt martha doesn't count is it her venue red path uh hold on hold on martha's vineyard named after the the first thing that like the recommended search is martha's vineyard named after george washington's wife i am probably the uh the embodiment of the first suggested question that pops up on google that's just how my brain works i'm always
Starting point is 00:10:25 Yeah, honestly. Martha's vineyard was named in 1602 by the English explorer Bollertholomew Gosnald, who combined the name of his daughter, Martha, with the abundant wild grape vines he found growing along the coast. What? I didn't know there was like a vineyard up there. Like, naturally, there's just a bunch of grapes in Martha's vineyard. That's kind of cool.
Starting point is 00:10:46 I don't care about Gospels, though. Get your balls out of here, gosh. Sure. Anywho, now we all know something new today. That's your new fact for the day, everybody. But did Carol tell her publisher Nan to call her on camera to say, hey, because this works for multiple different reasons. One, you get a little praise, you know, oh, wow, 12th bestseller.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Nice job. We know how you feel about bestseller lists. You think that they're jaded and fake. But hopefully don't hold that energy. If my cookbook turns into a bestseller, don't. It's different. It's a different industry. I'm just talking about Sheena Shea.
Starting point is 00:11:26 That's the only one I'm talking about. That's fair. That's fine. Fair enough. But what this also does is it sets up what's probably going to be a big talking point because it is interesting and it does just so happen to coincide with Love Story. Did you watch that? Nope.
Starting point is 00:11:41 It was pretty good, actually. I enjoyed it. But it's the story of JFK Jr. and Carol Caroline Rads. Jesus. Carol Radswell is over here. And Carolyn Bissette is over there. That's what I'm trying to say.
Starting point is 00:11:53 excuse me so much. I thought this is what's kind of funny. The Aaron button down look that we're getting every episode, apparently she's on a big button down kick. I think she's doing the Carolyn Bissette. I think she is. She is. She absolutely is.
Starting point is 00:12:09 And she will probably not say it out loud after the way that that dinner went a little bit later. But it is kind of funny to point out. I do want to see, you think we're going to get like a costume change next episode? Like, ah, yeah, I'm wearing sweaters now. Like, if so, then that, Ned, it definitely was the,
Starting point is 00:12:23 Yeah, that would be confirmation that she's doing it. That would be so funny. But yeah, I mean, look, I think in another way, the publisher calling Carol while she's in her car also confirms that is her office because she's taking a business call in the car, which creates a business, which I learned from Ben Affleck and the accountant. Like, if you work in your car, you can technically write it off as a tax deduction. So maybe that's what she's doing. What if we catch her on like some weird tax fraud? We just caught her on tax evasion by working in her car. Whoops, sorry.
Starting point is 00:12:57 How did you remake this entire kitchen into an office at the back to a kitchen? You must be cutting corners somewhere. Are you working in your car? Wait a minute. We got offices moving now. Oh, we're on to something. I've got to put our sleutting hats on dig into this. Not really.
Starting point is 00:13:13 They don't have the time. But interestingly enough, she has gone on two separate dates with two separate actors that were auditioning to play. JFK Jr. The connection that she has to that whole thing is her husband. What was his name? Anthony. Anthony Razzuel was first cousins with JFK Jr. So they essentially hung out in the same circles. Like if you read her book, a big part of it is talking about the friendships amongst that friend group. So she was right there in the middle of it. So a lot of this is like a little sensitive. She seems a little bit sad about it. I'm sure it's bringing up a lot of mixed emotions.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Not to mention her husband had passed away. So there's even more going on there. but I do think it's going to be an interesting topic to discuss throughout the season. I think stuff like this is fascinating. That's why I like the show so much. But having this is kind of an anchor and Martha Stewart to keep the glue of the group together. I just like that we have interesting things. I know I'm like nitpicking in a positive way, positive nitpicking, but I like that there's substance already. Well, I think the track record for us saying the show is good is when we notice those little nuances and those
Starting point is 00:14:21 really deep cuts and we say that it projects very well towards the rest of the cast and a storyline whereas the average watcher is just watching for entertainment things are entertaining down low we're picking those things apart so when we say a show is good it's because we've done the deep digging if you will so i'm just going to pat ourselves on the back for that one i'll reach over give you a little reach around pat you on the back but um yep yep yep you heard what i said uh yeah i i think it's going to be very interesting and I also love that the ties within Carol going into this and then there's also the Epstein of it all like we're just going to be doing some weird like historical research this whole season when it comes to Carol and that most of it she's just
Starting point is 00:15:05 going to try to downplay and just act like she has no idea what's going on I don't watch love story I didn't read those files I ever conducted anyway I didn't see anything that was going on so I don't know what you want for me that's going to be Carol the whole season and then dropping into some quirk and comments and I'm fine with that. Totally okay with that. I'm curious if shit hits the fan enough if somebody pulls that one out. Oh yeah?
Starting point is 00:15:28 Well, I heard you're on a list. Everyone's silent. We've seen the clip circulating and it was in the trailer for the first before the first episode of some random woman on the street yelling over to Carol. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:42 We'll get something and then there's going to be a little fallout but it's probably going to be I would imagine spun into some weird sentimental like I I just have to deal with this now oh god I think we're going to get that I really do because I can't imagine Carol coming back after eight years and then being like
Starting point is 00:15:59 yeah totally everything is just completely okay nothing's off limits like no no no we're not doing this we're not doing that I am not talking about these things that's kind of how I expected to go but they have to at least acknowledge it and this is their way I still think someone in NBC Bravo whoever just paid an actor like hey walk past this woman on the street and yell up scene files. We'll get some sort of explanation, then we'll all move on. I think that's what we're
Starting point is 00:16:22 going to get. If that, but yeah, you're right. It does need to be addressed. We do need to acknowledge the elephant in the room for a million different reasons. So I hope that they don't skate by that one because we do have to talk about it, but we'll see. Now, Aaron and Abe, this is setting up for a good season for Aaron as far as being that person that I think a lot of people are going to hate. I think that she's going to ruffle a lot of feathers and piss a lot of people off. both at home and on the show. But I have a question for you. As we're pulling up to their Hampton's house,
Starting point is 00:16:56 she gets a call from the contractor, I guess he went over there to do some work, found out that a pipe had burst in the bedroom causing an insurmountable amount of damage. It's bad. Oh, God. Now. I know where you're going over this.
Starting point is 00:17:09 I don't know if I care for it. I feel like we're developing a theme for this episode already. I don't know where I'm going to do with it. Oh, I'm not talking about insurance fraud. Oh, okay. I thought we were going insurance. No, no, no. No, I'm not going insurance.
Starting point is 00:17:20 No, no, no. I'm trying to say, look, is this, this is sad, sure. It's, it's tough. I feel bad for them. Can we not act like she's homeless now, though? It's your Hampton Summerhouse. Yes, it fucking stinks. Yeah, there's memories down there.
Starting point is 00:17:39 But the overarching sentiment, especially at the end when she flat out just says, I lost my home. And somebody does put out your second home. I'm just saying. It is a shitty thing. It kind of irritated me that it was like the end of the fucking world. Because again, you can probably pay for this house. People are struggling to afford studio apartments right now.
Starting point is 00:18:03 And you're, you're going to make this into a whole thing about your Hampton Summer House. Is that insensitive of me? No, I can do you one better anyway. So it doesn't really matter. But I don't really give a shit, to be honest. Like, rich people lose things all the time. I'm not going to fucking drop a tear.
Starting point is 00:18:19 for it. It sucks. I am not feeling upset that we have to go through the whole house. I could even go as far as to say that bunny rabbit that was covered in mold and yucky gross water and whatever may have been planted there for more sentimental reasons.
Starting point is 00:18:35 But at the same time, do you think that Aaron is going to catch flack online for comparing loosely, comparing her issue with a house in Katrina? Yes. as she should.
Starting point is 00:18:51 And like, yeah, granted the architect is the one that said that, but I don't care. She perpetuated it. She regurgitated it on live TV. This is my point.
Starting point is 00:18:59 That's my point of pulling up to the house. Like, oh my God, we've lost everything. It sucks. It sucks, for sure. Yes.
Starting point is 00:19:06 But, you know, like, it's not the end of the fucking world. I mean, let's actually just do this. She was going to rent it out all summer anyway. Who the fuck cares?
Starting point is 00:19:15 Yeah. Get a fixed up and then run it out afterwards. That's the thing. you'll it'll be done by summer and yeah it's a ton of money but that you guys are apparently rich so again yes it sucks let's not you know what you lost your house in katrina if si gets pissed off at erin in the next week or two and then drops i know we're not referencing those other two seasons but it's just the thing that i thought of if sigh drops like uh well at least we know you didn't have any food in there that would be fun that would be a good callback i would like that i would
Starting point is 00:19:47 appreciate that. Otherwise, I don't care. I don't need to spend too much time on this. If I'm the producers, if I'm editing this show, yeah, it's brutal. Yeah, she's probably going to be spending time going back and forth and talking to the contractor. You're going to want to film it. You're going to want to put it out. Leave it on the fucking coming floor. Like, this is enough. I agree to a certain extent. I do think it's a good launching point to irritate the cast, though. I think that's going to get old in a hurry where she's complaining about the Hanton House every episode. You know she's going to.
Starting point is 00:20:18 We've seen Aaron enough to know that this is going to be a talking point for the entire season. No, I don't want to check in with the house all the time. No, I don't really care. I feel bad. I do despite, you know, I don't feel. You guys get it. But if this is a way to just get under the rest of the cast skin and more so to that villain role that I'm hoping she kind of assumes this season, I'm fine with that.
Starting point is 00:20:43 But I agree with you. I don't need like 15 minute scenes every week of checking in on the Hampton House. I'm cool with that. No. No, maybe just like next season you show me that you framed that like door where you have your children's heights. Yeah, and then the bunny. That's enough for me.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Yeah, the children's heights, that too. Like it was a sentimental moment. I'm like, cut the dry wall out. Save it. Yeah, I know. It's not wet. Good. We got big hearts, you know.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Anyway, let's keep trucking. We get to Erica, who is teaching a boxing class at Equinox. We get to learn more about her. She's from Waco, which, you know, not much to say about Waco other than Magnolia Farms is there. What's his nuts, Chippin, Joanna Gaines. That's all happening in Waco, which is what made that show possible because the houses that they would purchase were like 20 bucks. Yeah. No shade if you're from Waco, been there.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Anyway. Some first pipes going on. on there. Yes, there's a few burst pipes of Waco. But she was in the WWE for two years as we knew, and then she moved to NYC and helped develop Rumble, which is a boxing gym. That's, that's national. There's a bunch of chains of that. I've been a few times. I actually enjoyed it. Then she went to Equinox and partnered with them to do this knockout class or whatever. All of that, to be said, they go through the class. Now, there is a history of housewives. inflating their contribution to a certain business.
Starting point is 00:22:16 I am not by any means saying that she very well could have been in development for Rumble. She very well could have been in development for the knockout class. This is not my point. Okay. My point is after the class, you got Haley and you got Daisy there. Daisy drops a line. Erica's so cute with her little job. Oof.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Oof, big oof. Where did that come from? I like it. I'm fine. Get a little feisty. Yeah. I mean, my first thought and seeing that, because it was a clip from next week when we watched it last week, seeing that, I'm like, I kind of agree with it.
Starting point is 00:22:53 You're married to a billionaire. If you've got other people in the group and Aaron's talking about her Hampton's house, it's flooded, you might have a couple of comments here and there about those things. I have no problem with it. I mean, she's still got some self-worth and she's still working. And that's great. She doesn't have to. But she's still doing the thing that she loves, which I appreciate watching.
Starting point is 00:23:10 But I'm okay if the other women, want to jump in and comment about her job and how it's not that serious. And it doesn't really matter. And she doesn't have to do it. Sure, go for it. Because it leads to how is Erica going to handle it. Now, if those two years of WWE have taught me anything, we're going to escalate to drop.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Suplex. Suplex. Steel chair. Something like that. RKO. Yeah. Challenges it to like a hell in the cell. Like, all right.
Starting point is 00:23:35 So we're getting out there. We're doing all these things. But I want to see how Erica responds, because as we know when we watch the scenes from next week, whatever happened in this conversation does leak out. So is that one of the comments that is going to leak out? I know as a confessional, but I imagine with Daisy, she's probably telling other people than forgetting that she's saying it. I mean, she's, she's a lot more like Haley than I thought. People already said it was very difficult to tell them apart. They are both out there. And I love both of them, but they are really both out there. So I wouldn't be surprised if
Starting point is 00:24:03 she forgets that she said that also told somebody else. And then it gets back to Eric in a couple weeks. I hope so. I mean, I assume it will, because that was a pretty catty line. But it's fun. We're sitting there after class and we're just talking some shit. And this is what I want to see. I want to see ha ha, fuck her, ha, she sucks, ha, she's boring and see groups come together. Give me some little clicks here and there and give me some shit talking. That's exactly what this was because they're sitting there talking about the Jessel Aaron thing. And Haley, I think Haley has the potential to be a star. by the way. She's sitting there going,
Starting point is 00:24:40 oh, God, I've learned that Aaron's a shit talker. I don't really know what she's saying because I black out half the time. She's so boring. She's strawberry jam. She's still on the table, you know. She's so boring.
Starting point is 00:24:52 I'd rather read Carol's book. Yeah, 10 out of 10. Double whammy. Yeah, she's just going through, taking everybody to task. I love it. And you have Daisy's sitting there. She's clearly going to be that soundboard,
Starting point is 00:25:05 I think, for Haley. I think they're going to do a lot of this together. I think Erica is probably somewhere in the middle of the street. She probably would lean closer to this group until she hears the cute little job comment. Now, she's going to go to the other side. Lo and behold, and we don't always like factions. But for a newer show, newer cast, you need some clicks to get things kind of heated up. I like how it's taking shape.
Starting point is 00:25:30 I like where we're having. It's taking shape and it's taking shape in a very funny way because we're talking shit on Aaron because she was talking shit. Yes. So it's like, hey, we're fighting fire with fire here. We're sitting behind her back. Whereas what we've seen from Aaron, and yes, she was making her comments,
Starting point is 00:25:45 which we'll have to see play out on Ultimate Girls trip. We're not exactly sure how that plays out and who she was talking to. But it got back to Jessel. And now everybody's talking shit about everybody. That opens the floodgates for all of these things. And with something that we talk about all the time, which is a level playing field for these shows,
Starting point is 00:26:01 we want everyone to just be able to talk shit. Go to somebody else, have a scene, and just put someone on blast and then put them on blast to their face at some point. But that is what keeps these shows going, is talking shit. So I don't really care for the other side of things where it's like we got to put Aaron to task
Starting point is 00:26:17 because she's over here talking shit. I love that she's talking shit and then turning around, apologizing and then turning to her right side and talking more shit on top of it. That's what I want. I agree. I mean, that's what makes these shows fun.
Starting point is 00:26:30 So off to a good start with the shit talking. Very much appreciate that. This episode is sponsored by Vinted. I feel like we all have that section of our closet filled with clothes that we keep telling ourselves that we're going to wear again. I promise. We're definitely going to wear that shirt again, even though it didn't really fit that well, even though I didn't really get any compliments. Or it still has the tags on it and I actually never wore it, but I have an idea that I might wear it. And I've been trying to be better about cleaning out my closet.
Starting point is 00:26:57 And Vinted makes it really easy to actually do something with the stuff that I'm not wearing. But all you have to do is list your item. And when it sells, Vinted creates the prepaid shipping label for you. So you don't have to do all that stuff yourself. Plus, there's no seller fees. So you keep everything you earn. And the Vinted app is free to download, which makes it really easy to just start listing some of those
Starting point is 00:27:33 pieces that you have sitting in your closet day after day. She's from New York. Hell yeah. And then you got Haley picking up Taco Bell from a drive-thru window on the sidewalk, which is just furthering this character that is Haley. And I'm thoroughly enjoying all of it.
Starting point is 00:31:22 So anyway, we get a quick check-in with Sye. And it does seem as though, gloves are off. And I think that her big thing is going to be being very open about this situation that she's in. She's talking about their net worth, their finances, assets, this, that, the other pre-nups. She's pissed at David. Something went down. Obviously, we know a little bit of the ins and outs as far as this facade that they put on where David didn't actually have a job. He finally has a job now. She's implying that he's going to try to take some of her money. So we're painting a picture here and we're painting a storyline for I think what
Starting point is 00:32:01 Si is going to kind of lock into. I don't know how I feel about it yet. I'm not out on it. But I'm curious. I'm just curious the direction this one's going to go. Are you curious to see if one, I guess, do you think we'll get a drop in from David at all in this season? Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:21 I think we're going to have a sit down. Yeah. Barring are they on speaking terms. if they're still talking, yeah. It's just one of those things that I feel like happens with divorces on reality TV. You get into that realm of public opinion. And if it's just one side talking, are you worried that they're kind of slandering what you're doing and you want to set the record straight? So I wonder what David's interest is in coming on screen and trying to explain it or at least having a face-to-face with Sy at some point in the season.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Or on the other side, it would be Bravo kind of reaching out to. David like, hey, do you want to come in? We don't really care what Sai wants, but we want more. If we're going to be talking about this the whole time, we want more of this. Why don't you come on and just give us a confessional here or there? And then we can kind of talk about some things. I wouldn't be surprised if Bravo reached out to him to try to get some of his side of the story, I guess, if you want to say that.
Starting point is 00:33:13 What if we get another Brian? What if it's like rule is Brian? Oh, you think there's like infidelity? Oh, no, I just meant the the gall of that coming back. It could be. I'm just more referencing. The fact that that dude sucked balls came on screen and sucked balls and decided to keep coming back and suck more balls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:34 It was more than a mere question for punishment. Yeah. Glutton for balls, apparently. No, no king shame here. But yeah, I'll king shame him. He seems weird. He might be. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:33:42 I'll never get over that dinner. That dinner scene with them, in Alicia and her husband or fiancee, I don't like that. I didn't care for that at all. Her husband. They're married. Alicia's married, right? No, they're getting married. But getting married.
Starting point is 00:33:57 I don't know if they already did, though, but they are getting married. Probably not. They're engaged for like 10 years. Okay. All right. Anyway, different show. Anywho, I thought it was interesting because obviously a new trope that we have on most housewife shows is a couple heading to divorce. It's been kind of this recurring thing over the past year or two.
Starting point is 00:34:19 We go from SIE, where it seems pretty evident that they're going to split. It's not really a question mark. but we jump from there talking divorce and get right into Daisy and Eugene. Now, I don't think these two like each other very much is the vibe that I'm picking up. I was going to play a game with you and ask you if you think based on this episode alone, is Daisy doing the thing that we've seen before, the soft launch, if you will, of a divorce of a split? Or do you think that she truly has no idea, what the hell is going on and she's just kind of speaking and being herself and then she's going
Starting point is 00:34:58 to look back and be like oh shit i have some damage control to do i i was going to posit the same thing to you not in a question i was going to say is this the soft lodge i think she's doing the soft lodge that's the vibe that i get i don't know if she's like consciously going into this like oh other housewives have done this i'm going to do the same i think she's going in like yeah don't love my situation i'm going on here and and talk some shit, get messy, and it's going to take care of itself type shit. It's kind of the vibe that I'm picking up.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Type shit. Type shit. But it could also just be, this is who she is. And she's just kind of messy. And she doesn't recognize, like you said. And then she's going to catch up to make,
Starting point is 00:35:42 ooh, I shouldn't say as much on TV. We will talk about the text message because that whole exchange was fucking insane. Well, but you know what happens is I, during this scene, I was readying,
Starting point is 00:35:54 a statement in full force to defend whatever the hell their relationship is because it seemed like everything was okay like oh this is just how Daisy is this is just how Eugene is they've been together for a long time as soon as that scene was over when we go to the restaurant she's flirting with the waiter and I'm like well wait a minute what is this touching the problem and shit look I'm not look we already have enough enough of a problem with Daisy
Starting point is 00:36:19 and Haley together and a lot of people are kind of misidentifying the two of them but is there something going on maybe with some sort of pact within their marriage where she's allowed to do these things and that's what we're not skiing. Maybe that'll come to light at some point. I don't know. It's very tough for a new
Starting point is 00:36:36 housewife that we don't know a ton about to show up like this and then we have a lot of questions within two episodes. Yeah. Like that's the thing. She comes in the way that she does, right? And she's very brazen. Is that the right word? Like, she doesn't
Starting point is 00:36:54 seem to give a fuck. And like you know, the more that we talk about their situation, because that's all we're doing in this whole thing is where she's explaining how their marriage works. It's been 10 years. Quentin's the priority. We have different personalities. He's very structured and scheduled. I'm kind of whatever. You know, and like, when it's good, it's good, but like, then I leave the fridge open and apparently that's the worst thing in the world. And then she's been up since five. And he's like, and you're out late, blah, blah, blah, blah, going on and on back and forth. What I didn't like, didn't care for this because Eugene's big thing is hey Quentin needs you around he needs both of us
Starting point is 00:37:30 at the same time in the mornings in the evenings we are a family and she's like yeah but like I have cameras and like if I'm climbing the Eiffel Tower with Martha like I'll check in like hey Quentin make sure you eat your breakfast so you know I'm there that's not the same thing that's not remotely the same thing and it's painting a picture is she a good housewife I think she has a chance to be a very good housewife yes is she going to be like the best person i don't know i don't know yeah probably not you're gonna aim no i'm leaning no yeah i didn't like that i don't like the kid part of it where she's like yeah i check in it's like oh but don't don't compare those that's not the same thing as being there for your kid
Starting point is 00:38:13 no it's not and that was sort of part of my defense anyway of the two of them and i didn't want to immediately jumped down their throats like oh what's going on here we're looking at divorce we're looking at separation because there's been too much of that and it's sad and i don't want to deal with it but with what we get at the which i thought was a dinner scene the whole time i mean everything in new york always looks like that unless you're right next to a window but i thought it was a dinner scene it's a brunch scene but when we get to the brunch scene then i have more questions that's like oh wow now we're really piling on after what i thought was just like all right i'm going to write this off and see what happens in the future probably forget about this scene then i'm asking questions
Starting point is 00:38:50 afterwards. So now I don't really know. And I don't know which way I'm going to go. I'm going to have to find out more. And that's the beauty of this show. Yeah. And it does make you curious to dig a little bit deeper. But that takes us to this brunch. And like you said, Daisy's there solo. She gets there early. And $1,200 bottle of champs. And she's like, hey, crack that bad boy open, you big, hunky waiter you. And then she's like caressing the bottle and shit. Like she was very getting into the flirting with this guy. Again, we don't know enough about Daisy yet to definitively say like, oh, this is just who she is, or is this a move?
Starting point is 00:39:28 Or does she not know that this is a move? And she's just doing shit. And then she's going to be like, oh, shit, that was on camera. The jury is 100%. I do not have any idea which way that's going to go. But everyone starts coming in. And I think this was, they should have put this on air. Erica talking about putting the watches outside the bedroom door.
Starting point is 00:39:51 I'm like, someone's going to break in now because they know as soon as he, they're going to see, um, Anker, Anker, I believe his name is, but I got that wrong.
Starting point is 00:40:00 I apologize. They're going to see on his Instagram or something. He's out of town and be like, oh, well, the watches are sitting in front of the bedroom door. Let's go break the fuck in and take those. So I thought they shouldn't have put that on there.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Probably shouldn't have put that on there. I figured it was just performative and it's just like, oh yeah, you know what? I had Bravo follow me around for about 20 minutes. Well, I did all of these things and pulled a long knife out of the safe that's in my closet. Then they know that all these things are we doing. I don't think she does any of those things.
Starting point is 00:40:28 That's the whole thing. I don't think she does any of those things. I think she thought it was funny. I think I'm going to have to keep an eye on, Erica, because, again, that WWE diva mentality is going to be sprinkled in here. It's going to play well, but it's going to be sprinkled in. And this is one of those things we're like, I don't believe you. This is funny and quirky. I don't believe that you actually do this every night that he's out of town because he goes out of town once a week, as she says.
Starting point is 00:40:51 So I don't really know about all that. But I think it's going to come to serve her very well as we move forward throughout the season, especially when conflict pops up. Yep, I agree. But everyone starts arriving. Like I said, Aaron shows up and yet another button down. Confessional look button down. Lots of button downs. First thing she says, my house is gone.
Starting point is 00:41:14 That's what I'm talking about. And so I think Erica, somebody goes, oh, your second house. Did you notice that her teeth are not gone? So she is homeless, but not toothless. Oh, there you go. So she's good. Everybody's fine. Everybody's safe.
Starting point is 00:41:30 Yeah, it's all good. Everything's fine. Do we have teeth? It's one or the other. If you have both, different story. But obviously, Jessel and Aaron are awkward. They haven't talked since she got kicked out of the party, that whole thing. And this is randomly somehow a celebration for Sai, although nobody knows.
Starting point is 00:41:45 that except for, I think Sye knows, but she's also questioning it when she shows up, like apparently this is for me but I don't really know what we're celebrating. It's like a cheer sigh up thing, but that's another thing. It's like, okay, Sai got pissed off that people were talking
Starting point is 00:42:01 about the stuff that she was talking about in secret about her marriage and all of this. And now you're having a cheer up party, which would, you would argue that's to cheer her up from the shit she's going through, which therefore you would talk about the stuff that's going on. therefore making her mad again.
Starting point is 00:42:17 So this was a very confusing setup for me personally. I didn't understand. I thought it was fucking hilarious. I have no idea which direction we're going in with all of this because it starts off as I want to get Sy to go out and have some fun. I figured we were going to go out for drinks at night. We're doing a sit down, surprise, brunch, meal, celebration. No one knows what the fuck is going on.
Starting point is 00:42:39 The only people who know what's going on are the people who are on the in with sigh and can kind of put two and two together. Oh, it's a secret cheer sigh up party. It was, yeah, it was a surprise because Sai had no idea and she looked over and said, I think this is for me and I imagine it's a surprise. And then you pan across the room and no one knows what the fuck is going on. I mean, Eric, it doesn't really know what's going on because the whole premise of this when Daisy's sitting down at the gym is to say, yeah, I think Cy's having a hard time.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Is it with her husband? It's not my story to tell. Yeah, I mean, it is. after that response. But sure, let's just go with that. And we'll have a brunch. But I thought that the planning from Daisy made no sense at all. Like, this is something that you just kind of drag someone out of the house.
Starting point is 00:43:24 Like, hey, you're sad. Let's go out. No, this was overly planned. If any, I know, I don't think that she's where I'm confused. She doesn't think it through things that she's doing. Right. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:34 It just ended up being an overly planned surprise brunch that you would do for someone's birthday, but we're doing this because you're getting a divorce. but also no one knows why we're here. So I invited Carol. And Carol has no idea what the fuck is going on. That's what I brought to the table. What did you guys do? Well, the funny thing about Carol and Cy,
Starting point is 00:43:53 like you get this first interaction when Carol gets there. And Sae's like, hey, it's good to see. She's like, oh, we met once. And Cy being Sy, like we met more than once, list of times. But most people would be like, ah, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Sy stands there silently staring, making her respond, I appreciate it because Carol's like, oh, yeah. It was such like a mundane thing. I saw you outside of the apartment building a couple of years ago. Oh, yeah, sure. All right. Cool.
Starting point is 00:44:29 Yeah, I remember you. After about like two minutes of Heming and Hawing. Yes, of course. Yeah, I totally remember you. It's great to see you again. It's always great to see you, Carol. How many more times have we met? I didn't get out of my face.
Starting point is 00:44:40 I don't know. I liked it, though. But Carol also hates brunch, which is, you know, I don't. I get it, though. Like, I like brunch, but I can see, I can see that. Anyway, Daisy asks about Pavitt, which is just a setup for the rest of this scene, because Pavitt bounced from the party early. Just was like, look, he likes to go to bed early.
Starting point is 00:45:01 As we know, Pavitt is his own guy. He's a very unique dude, which is why he's so entertaining. He goes on 17-hour flights. that's the vacation. Going to get the bond me is the break in between the vacation of flying back on the plane for this man. Very funny. But when she says that,
Starting point is 00:45:22 Daisy offers up, I love when Eugene leaves. So I can have some fun because he clocks me when he's there. Hey, how many drinks have you had? And then I think Jessel is the ones like, oh, do you prefer your tutor instead? Now we get into the tutor situation,
Starting point is 00:45:36 which initially when this popped up, I wasn't thinking that. Like when they were like, oh, and I got stuck talking to the tutor for like two hours. Now we get a little more info. Apparently he's adorable. He's 26 years old.
Starting point is 00:45:51 All of this just seems like, okay, you're flirting a little bit with the tutor. All right. Not great, but whatever. And then she pulls out her phone and reads a text message from this guy.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Having a crush on a married woman is actually making me helplessly fucking stupid. You make me feel like I'm 12 again. Weird line by that guy. Very weird line by that guy. If I ever implode, I'm going to cut ties.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Okay. Let's break that down. If he steps over the line of professionalism, which he's already stepped over, I think he's going to say, hey, I can't be your son's tutor anymore. I think that's what he means. That's, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:37 I'm just kind of reading between the lines here. my big issue with this, and we've already kind of discussed whether or not we think she's soft launching a divorce, my big issue with this is it is such low hanging fruit, but I am so tired of housewives digging into their marital lives. I know it like when things pop up and it's funny and like you actively catch someone cheating. Yeah, you talk about it because it's a big bomb. This is just so right in your face where I can see the rest of them. I'm like, all right, well, if we got nothing else going on, we can just talk. about Daisy and Eugene. We can try to dig into that and see what's going on there.
Starting point is 00:47:11 I don't want to do that. You and I can do that. We can keep an eye on what's going on with Daisy and all over weird comments, but I don't want them to do it because it takes away from everything else that's going on. And then we're just going to be primarily focused on not only Sai getting a divorce, but then Daisy and Eugene and if there's problems there. And then people are going to make those comments and it's going to get contentious.
Starting point is 00:47:30 And then it gets tough to watch at that point. I still want, at least like most of this season, to just be fun, goofy, offhanded comments. and then create some drama from that. I don't want to do this. We're not tearing down marriages again or poking holes in potential issues with the marriages. It just gets too tried and too annoying. I agree to a certain extent. This,
Starting point is 00:47:50 I don't want the cast like digging around like you said where it's like, are they good? Are they not good? Are you good? And asking her about that being said, the tutor thing is totally different. It's bizarre. In my eyes.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Because that's a door that, like if we don't go into the marriage, but we dig into that. I'm cool with that. Like, somebody needs to go on a coffee date with that dude and like, figure out what the fuck's happening. Because quite clearly,
Starting point is 00:48:19 if he's got the nerve to send that text message, there's a reason he felt comfortable sending that text message. He wouldn't fire that off out of nowhere. And that brings up somebody says, she loves attention. Daisy does love attention. I talking about that and they're the longest friends. So she knows that.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Okay. So I look, I don't know where it's going to go. I just hope that it's a random weird situation with her. And yeah, we can talk about the Tudor thing. If anything, because of what happens live, just had the sales clerk from last episode on there that we loved. I have the tutor as the bartender and then put Daisy there, but don't invite Eugene.
Starting point is 00:49:00 And then we can just kind of see what happens between the two of them. Or sparks flying or not. That's what I want. I don't want the season to get bogged down by that is my point. But the other thing, like, and this is what calls into question whether or not she knows what she's doing. We still don't know that yet. We've got to watch more and figure it out. Your husband's going to see that.
Starting point is 00:49:20 The tutor's going to see that. Other parents that have that tutor are going to see that. This has ramifications beyond just, hey, look at this weird text that my kids tutor sent me. And that's where it's like, I don't know if you. know what you just did. But that brings us back to the Eugene thing. That brings us back to people talking about them soft launching their divorce. Maybe this just is who Daisy is.
Starting point is 00:49:48 And she's like, yeah, I'm just going to be myself. And then there's just weird things happening left and right. And we can just kind of focus on that and just have a fun time with Daisy because she's off the wall. That's what I would want. I would like it to just be fully authentic and not some weird plan. Like, oh, this is my opportunity. I don't think it's a plan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:04 I'm not sure. I think this is just who she is. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm leaning more towards what you said in the beginning of the episode. Is she going to it at some point big, oh, fuck, I opened Pandora's box and I can't close this shit. I should not have said all of those things. I kind of lead towards that, but I don't, I can't say for sure.
Starting point is 00:50:22 No. But that's when we jump into the Jessel and Aaron stuff. And look, these two have poked and prodded their entire friendship that we've seen between the two of them. And it's more of that. You know, Aaron's like. trying to defend talking she's still which is cracking me up but actually very much appreciated she's still trying to hang on to this like i'm not in the wrong yeah i talk shit but like you didn't talk to me about it like she's still try to maintain that it's okay to talk shit about your friends
Starting point is 00:50:55 because everybody does it it's like yeah all right but this doesn't make a lot of sense you're driving around with other housewives what happened if i had to the guest was you went to this party at Bluestone Manor. You got lit. Other people were talking shit. You got a little ramped up and you're like, huh, Jessel's been pissing me off. Let me talk about her because the reasoning that she gives is that they had a heart to
Starting point is 00:51:21 heart after their fathers have passed. They seem to be on the same page. Aaron was checking in with Jessel. Jessel wasn't reciprocating. That pissed off. Aaron. Aaron went on to say she was fake. Is that plausible?
Starting point is 00:51:33 Yeah. Actually, it kind of is. is that exactly what happened? We don't know. Is that forgivable for talking shit about her because all of that happened unbeknownst to Jessel?
Starting point is 00:51:45 Now we're splitting hairs. Now we're getting too convoluted to like really say like, yeah, you're in the right, you're in the wrong. It sounds to me like you talk shit and he got caught and you should probably just say,
Starting point is 00:51:53 hey, I'm sorry. I would like to move on. But that's what it gives me hope is that she's not doing that. She's not doing that. And even when she does apologize, she just immediately starts talking shit anyway. So I want that.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Just keep doing it. that that's totally fine i also love the stance of you weren't supposed to hear that they got back to you you're supposed to call me if that gets back to you and then we can talk about it but you didn't call me after our dad's died we bonded and then you stopped calling me so you're actually in the wrong for stopping being my friend that's a funny spin to me just put do all of that because we didn't watch any of that the cameras weren't up for all those things you guys became friends off camera after being not really close and you know maybe even enemies for those two seasons now you're back to being enemies again because of what happened after that whatever if again if i had to guess
Starting point is 00:52:40 and i'm playing that because they keep showing the car going the blue stone matter they're playing a shitty housewives game in the car about who's the most thirsty one on your cast or something along those lines and she said jessel and it's the same thing as what we've seen copy and paste from comments at bravo con that get back to the screen when we go to beverly hills from comments there that gets ultimate girl ship it's just back and forth and it's more of the same it's not the end of the world. I do I do think I might lose patience, though, if Jessel doesn't spin it in a funny way, because if she just sits there and she's like, how, you talk shit on me. Oh, my God, I can't believe you talk shit on me. Aaron's going to talk shit on you as soon as she leaves the house.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Aaron's going to talk shit on you, actually, as soon as the brunch starts. So let's just chalk it up there and just expect that and have a different approach. I, I more so right now, anyway, appreciate what Aaron's bringing versus what Jessel's bringing, except for when Jessel goes into it with Carol about the Kennedys. That's the only thing that I'm like, all right, That was funny. Yeah, she came in really hot there. But I have faith in Jessel. I know we don't like to talk about those two seasons,
Starting point is 00:53:41 but if we remember season one, she really kind of came into her own towards the end. She ended up being pretty entertaining. So I do have some faith in Jessel. I also think that there's a difference between squashing something in episode two and then finding out in that same episode, Aaron's still talking shit. I think we're going to see a completely different pivot from Jessel moving forward,
Starting point is 00:54:03 which will be interesting. but I love how it all kind of takes shape because I love that we're throwing the dermatologist out there. You treated him like shit, remember? Yeah. No, but I like this. Like, I like when we pull random things out that you can't prove or disprove. Like, that's kind of funny to me. It goes back and forth for a while and they end up squashing it for now.
Starting point is 00:54:26 Carol also jumps in at one point and said, oh, you said that she was obnoxious, desperate, and thirsty. And I would never say that about my friends, which could just be Carol. Carol being Carol and like throwing something random out there. Or Aaron who thinks Carol's her friend might not like Aaron. Maybe you talk shit about Carol and got back to her. Probably, honestly, you have a track record with talking shit about people. So that would make sense. But I just like that it's kind of sporadic.
Starting point is 00:54:51 There's a lot happening. We're getting dermatologists. We're getting, you know, she's using her dad to be like, you literally stop calling me after my dad died. Like, that's a wild take. But that's what happened. So that is exactly what happened. Yeah, the dermatologist is probably the funniest thing of all,
Starting point is 00:55:08 because that is apparently the cornerstone of everything. That's when I started disliking you was when you treated the dermatologist. I was trying to introduce you to as a man that just had hors d'oeuvres. How dare you? That is one of the best dermatologists. Now he's your dermatologist. Now we've got issues. You can't keep going back to him.
Starting point is 00:55:25 I don't want you posting him. You get a Martha too, right? I know. It's where Martha goes to get Botox. That's why you like her. What's a scene? Yeah, that's what. we're understanding where this cast came from.
Starting point is 00:55:35 And it was Andy sitting down with Martha Stewart and saying, who do you like from this group? All right, we're going to pick a couple of these and that's good. We'll go with that. Yeah, you don't want to be on the show. Can you be a part-time casting director and help us build this show? And Martha said,
Starting point is 00:55:49 no fucking problem. But we get into the JFK Jr. Carolyn Beset stuff. And the line of questioning out of the gate. I was like, whoa, I'm pretty sure Jessel knows that they were friends. she has to know or she wouldn't have asked this. No. Remember, Jessel, this was her friend who died in a plane crash, a very famous plane crash,
Starting point is 00:56:12 one that is being relived in this moment because of this show going so incredibly viral. Was she a bitch? Pardon? Yeah. What? What do you just say? Is your best friend a bitch? Can you confirm?
Starting point is 00:56:27 A loof. What's the loof? A loop. Yeah. Daisy trying to do damage control was very funny, too. because that was just a Daisy could not help herself. She's like, I am obsessed. I watched all of love story.
Starting point is 00:56:38 I watched it the second time. I made Eugene sit down and watch it. He didn't want to watch it. He wanted to go to bed. But I sat there and drank a bottle of wine and watched it with my tutor. That's what Daisy was bringing to the table. And then she just wants to know more. Like you were there.
Starting point is 00:56:51 You were a firsthand witness. I need to know everything. I want to pick your brain. But first, does everybody stop you on the street and talk about this? Yeah, they do. And it's really annoying. Ah, I'm not going to be like them. I'm going to ask you better questions,
Starting point is 00:57:01 cooler questions because I'm better than those people. Jessel dropping the bomb. Is she a bitch? What do you think that family's cursed? Like what's going on over there? What do you think about riding in planes now? Are you afraid to ride planes because of everything that happened? What about convertibles?
Starting point is 00:57:15 Do you ever ride with the top down in Dallas especially? You ever do that? Nope. We don't do those things anymore. Like Jessel, the line of questioning was very funny. I loved it because it made Carol so uncomfortable. And I get why Carol was uncomfortable, but it was still very funny to watch. And it got to the point where Carol's like,
Starting point is 00:57:31 we're done, right? I'm going to go take a nap. This was brutal. Brunch, I hate brunch. I don't like eating all of these foods in the middle of the day. I'm supposed to do this in the morning. I hate brunch.
Starting point is 00:57:43 I'm going home and taking a nap. I'm done with you guys. Funny. Yeah, and she brings up the Carolyn Beset aesthetic. She's like, you're doing it right now. It's like,
Starting point is 00:57:51 dude, she is trying to stop talking about this. And you cannot read the room at every one of the tables, like jaw on the floor like, oh my God, stop, stop. She can't. And I love that. I love that this is what's coming out.
Starting point is 00:58:05 And this kind of, you could argue, aloofness out of Jessel. Like, it's just funny. It's funny to watch. It was not funny for Carol, probably. But I need this kind of, what's the word? I appreciate when you have this level of,
Starting point is 00:58:26 I don't give a fuck, but it's not coming across where she's like, I don't think Jessel's trying to be an asshole. I really don't. No, no. I think she's just like, I want to know about this stuff. Yeah, if we remember correctly, I mean, everybody that was watching that and everybody that was infatuated with the whole show was trying to dress. I mean, I remember seeing things on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:58:45 They're like, yeah, you got to dress like JFK Jr. This is what he did. And here's the whole outfit. And they were doing the same thing for Carol. So I'm like, okay, yeah, yeah, I guess I get that. But she's missing that middle component where it's like, oh, yeah, wait, but I forgot. You knew these people. These people were close to you.
Starting point is 00:59:01 my best. So what do you think about dressing like your dead best friend this summer? Do you think it's cool? Is that in the summer? Everybody's doing it. Because my whole marketing campaign is based off of this. Carol's not the person to ask about that. You can ask anybody else at the table. Go have a conversation with Daisy about it. She'll say, I'll model for you. He asks Carol, and she's like, I think it's kind of insensitive. This is bringing up a lot of emotions for me. And I don't want to have this conversation right now. So I'm going to put you down for a maybe. I'll put you in for a maybe. It would be big if you could just, join me on my campaign because this is going to be huge. Like, no, it's not going to happen. She's literally like, I don't think you should do that. I don't think you should do that.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Don't do that. Please stop doing this. Aaron's on the other side of the table like hiding her. Yeah, she took off her button down. Like, I agree. But everything kind of falls apart. She leaves. We have performance at brunch or whatever.
Starting point is 00:59:56 And that's when you just get Aaron leaning over and talking. shit saying that Jessel is a clout chaser whilst at the table. The other thing that you get from that moment is Erica seeing it and going huh, I think
Starting point is 01:00:15 I'm seeing what people are saying about Aaron, which is going to make factions or teams start to form. That's okay for right now. And we'll see where everybody ends up. But I mean, again, substance and content, solid, solid up.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Mm-hmm. Very solid up. Well, let's see if everybody feels the same way. Yeah, I'm curious. Get to some questions here. First one up here from Ager 927. Are Jessel and Aaron not similar? Um, I think, yeah. I mean, like, this is the thing. They all talk shit. So, like, yes, they are similar in that regard. But I do think that they are different in terms of their personalities. But yeah, that's the thing that I'm kind of annoyed with. and not annoyed right now, but could be annoyed with moving forward, is if Jessel keeps saying that, like, I can't believe Aaron's talking shit.
Starting point is 01:01:08 It's like, you guys all do it. We just watched multiple scenes leading up to this where you guys all got mad at Aaron for talking shit because she got caught, but you guys were all talking shit the entire way. So like, let's just back off a little bit. Ryan Stom in 83. Does Aaron gossip in front of people on purpose, or does she lack self-awareness?
Starting point is 01:01:25 I truly believe that Aaron doesn't register that as shit talking. I think she's just talking. And then after the fact when people lay it out for she's like, oh, yeah, I did that. My bad. I don't think that she's like intentionally like, I'm going to lean over and talk shit. No. I just think it comes out. I think that's her personality.
Starting point is 01:01:43 I think that's probably how she's always been. And now she's being quote unquote held accountable because there's cameras in her face and people are finding out that she's talking shit. But she's never had to do it before. And now what we've watched on those other two seasons was her kind of scrambling and dealing with it. Now it's like, that is who I am. I'm going to stand my ground for a while. I'll apologize for the sake of everybody else at this table. But I'm going to do it again.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Don't worry about it. Yep. Oh, which leads me to this one, Jennifer M2M, are the producers making Aaron a villain? Or is Aaron actually a villain? Again, I think that she, you go. I want to hear your take. I was going to say the V word is just,
Starting point is 01:02:21 it's strong for all of these shows. I don't think that they're making her do anything. I don't think that they're making her out to be anything with the editing. I think that she's just talking. shit and it's getting back to people. And she was already talking shit on the girls trip, which is a good plug for all to girls' trips. So they're going to keep running that one down until that episode comes out.
Starting point is 01:02:38 But I don't, again, I don't agree with the villain for this. I think it's just Jessel's going to have issues. Maybe Erica kind of picks up on it, but they're all going to kind of clue into what's going on in the group. Yeah, I agree. I think it's the V word is strong in a lot of these shows. You know, when we say villain, what I more mean is, like I said earlier, the contrarian.
Starting point is 01:02:59 Like she's going to be on the outside looking in with a lot of things and feel that and then react because of that, which is going to cause her to quote unquote be more of a villain. But it's actually just that she's probably getting insecure because the group doesn't like her because she can't keep her mouth shut. I don't think that she's actively trying to be a bad person. I just think that Aaron rubs people the wrong way, mainly because she does mean things about them. Yeah. And she'll get her reckoning or she'll just deny it and move. forward whichever happens it's going to be funny uh there's two of these so i'll read them both from linds and mattie c 97 tagline thoughts and rankings or are these not the worst taglines you've
Starting point is 01:03:41 ever heard i think errands was the only good one here's the thing i i don't remember any i the only tagline that i actively remember right now is carols and it's because it was a reference i think it was season two or somewhere around there where she was talking about her ass she's like and i've still got a great ass that's funny that's good It's good nostalgia picking for her. That's the only one that I would rank, and I'm going to put that at one. Same.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Yeah, you don't remember any. So there you go. You may have skipped it for all we know. I don't think I skipped it, but I think I was like getting situated to take notes. I wasn't really. Yeah, kind of tuned out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:18 From, well, there's another one in here. From Ashley A-95, must be a hot take, but I think Erin and Jessler are equally fake to each other. That is better than saying that they're very similar. think they're equally fake to each other. Yeah, I think that's the way to put it, which is what Audrey V says, does Jessel seem super inauthentic to anyone else but me? Also loving Daisy so far. Yeah. Uh, yeah, but I don't think inauthentic in a I don't want to be on this show kind of way. I think that she's trying to get her image off the ground, uh, to start this season out. I think she came
Starting point is 01:04:54 in with an agenda of some sort. And I think that. I think Jessel thinks that she's above other people is always the vibe I get. So when this shit starts popping off, I just, I feel like she's like, I don't have time. So she's just kind of like, she'll get activated. She'll get pulled into something and you'll see her actually. And that's kind of what happened if I remember the first time that we got to see Jessel
Starting point is 01:05:20 on the screen was like, I think we were questioning all of that. And then when she finally comes out to play, it's like, oh, okay, yeah, no, she can hang. So yes, I agree. Yeah. And we'll end it on this one from Shoshi Davis. I love a good verbal meme from Jess. Or Jessel in those comments made me want to back up into the hedge like Homer Simpson.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Yeah. But that's the type of uncomfortability that really makes me laugh. So I was having a great time. But a lot of people were like, oh, my God. How could she say that to? Because it's funny. It's very funny when they say shit like that. And she also doesn't know that she's doing it.
Starting point is 01:05:52 She's just like, ooh, I have so many questions for you. I'm so excited to ask you about this. She's not putting two and two together that, oh, like you said, She's missing the middle ground of, oh, right, you're close with these people. This probably sucks to talk about. Yeah. I want to end on one more, though, because this is a good one. Joanne Beach, love, hope we can move forward or it will get old is a very good point because that was one of the major, major,
Starting point is 01:06:16 major, probably the biggest issue of the reboot. We would get stuck on the same mundane shit for like the entire season. So completely agree, Joanne. I agree too. I love it so far. I'm really excited to see what we got. But yeah, that will be a very interesting thing to look for because that was one of their biggest issues trying to get it off the ground a couple of years ago. Yeah, agreed. But yeah, I don't know, man. We'll see how this one shakes out. We don't like to get ahead of ourselves. So I'm not going to say anything. I'm just, I'm curious to see how it goes. Yeah, me as well. But that's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. Well, that's our show from Rosa out of here.
