We carry on to Vegas with the OC girls in hopes that we might be able to find some new fun with this group because any potential we had in the storylines seems to just go away quickly.... While the show might be boring right now, it could be so much worse so let's just be thankful guys ok! You know it's been bad when we're hoping to get more action out of Emily & Gina going at it but thus is the nature of OC. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

As you know, week to week, I do my best.
I try very hard to give this show a fair shake, give it a fair chance, you know, not just try to shit on it right out of the gate.
I say week to week, it's very difficult.
And this week in particular, I'm a very sepy boy.
If you can tell, if you're watching YouTube, I can barely keep my eyes open.
It's been a long week, but a long few weeks.
Watching this show when I'm sleepy is the bane of my existence.
I think if they were able to concoct a show with OC people just made out of their dinner scenes,
I would be pretty entertained.
I'd be okay.
If it was just dinner scene after dinner scene,
just force all of them and interact at one time.
It's when they start jumping around from people to people and two of them,
three of them at a time maybe.
The stuff they talk about is so boring.
And then they sit down and actually talk about it.
Everybody takes it the wrong way and you get a little bit of drama.
Like, just have dinner scenes back to back.
That's all I really want.
O.C. Dinner Club.
Yeah.
And it's 10 minute episodes.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos.
Oh, man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm Karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Bravo Bros.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Bravo Bros.
your favorite podcast from the bros for everybody for whoever wants to listen i'm your co-host
steel russell joined as always by the one and only lost vaguts what's up dude yeah i was worried
if we were going to have another discussion about whether or not we say Vegas incorrectly because
the next gen yeah the next gen conversation led to comments of people saying that we also say it wrong
so you and i um yeah i i i don't care you know
I guess.
It just,
how the fuck are you supposed to say it?
Dude,
I don't know.
Vegas.
Next gen,
also,
they went deeper into it.
Vegas.
Yeah,
it's like vegan.
Vegas.
Vegas.
Yeah.
Vegas.
We guess.
The V is actually a W.
But,
yeah.
What's there to say about this show?
This is a tough one.
It's,
I want to,
whatever like the,
the rung below praising it is,
I want to commend or just,
You want to come into this show?
No, see, it's, it's too positive.
It's way too positive.
It's got to be something somewhat neutral, but because the show has been so bad,
condone.
I want the neutral.
Condone.
I condone what they're doing.
Okay.
Yeah.
They're not doing anything terrible.
They're not doing anything good or great, but they're existing in a way that doesn't
hurt my soul or my being or bother me every day like they used to.
So I condone what.
they're doing over there in OC right now.
You get,
okay.
You get,
you know,
a half a thumbs up.
You know,
kind of,
it's like tilted up a little bit.
Ever so slightly upward thumb.
Yeah.
Yeah.
My wrist is kind of like shaped that way.
So that's what just happened.
It's just forced.
But I,
look,
I wish I could
co-sign that with you.
I agree.
We're on the same page
about what we're seeing,
right?
It's just boring.
Very,
very boring.
And I know you're looking at
the,
lens of, okay, at least I don't despise every second. You're just bored. And for you,
that's a win because of what OSE has been for the past few years. So you're using some
power positive thinking. Yeah. I can't get there. I can't get on your side of the street
because it pisses me off that we're watching this show that is so incredibly boring. And they're
highlighting the boring people. That's the craziest thing to me. Like the
amount of screen time that Gina's getting, that Emily's getting.
Emily and Shane do not need scenes.
I don't give a shit.
Nobody wants to see what's going on at Emily's house.
Not one person.
Same with Gina.
And for a while, we didn't get Gina at home.
Like, we just had Gina out and about and everyone was happy.
Something has happened.
I don't know if Emily and Gina came together and held a Bravo executive hostage for more screen time.
I don't know what the hell is going on.
Maybe one of the producers bought a house from the gated group.
And now that's part of the deal in the contract is that Gina Hasty.
I don't know what's going on.
But they're not doing themselves any favors by highlighting the boring people.
And it's kind of driving me nuts.
I think I just figured out what happens and what's going wrong.
I think they probably had a whole ass film crew stationed in Puerto Vallerta.
And then everything happens.
Vicky had to vacate.
They had to vacate, obviously,
so they had to pivot.
Because this was her big triumphant return.
We were going to talk about Vicky the whole time.
We were going to check in with her a bunch.
I'm over her too.
Yeah, I know you are, but everyone else is okay with her,
myself included.
But I think that was their plan.
Their plan was to spend more time there.
Maybe people were going to go in and out
and then Vicki was going to come back when she was ready.
And obviously, you know, the citizenship that went through this episode
had some role to play in there.
But I think that was it.
I think we were supposed to spend a lot more time there.
And instead, now we're like, shit,
Tamara, no, everybody hates you still right now.
Jen, now, I don't know.
We haven't done the Gina Emily thing.
We haven't checked in with them, really.
So let's just go to their houses and see what's going on.
Oh, I'm so excited for you to come over today.
I actually have my interior designer coming.
Like, that's what it is.
And that's, I know we like to highlight this.
When a show is really good and they're like really rich,
like when Heather Dubrow has an interior designer coming over,
we're watching.
are seated and we are ready to go just to see what's going on.
And then we get a couple of quips from Terry along the way.
That's fun.
We don't need to go to Emily's for an interior designer and ask her daughter if she likes
her new vanity that you can also get at Home Depot.
Like that's not very entertaining to me.
If it was made of marble, you might have me seated.
Instead, you have me walking away to get a snack.
I love the idea that we're blaming the cartel for OC being bad.
That's great.
Yeah, we have to.
Yeah, I'm fully on board for that.
We have to blame someone.
And we're tired of blaming the cast and we're tired of blaming production.
I have to find outside sources.
We got to think outside the box here.
It's the cartels fault.
But I will say this.
I'm not hate,
hate watching it like I have in the past despite my,
you know,
hyperbolic statements here and there.
It's just boring to me.
And to counter you just a little bit,
there is still a lot of overwhelming Vicky support.
People are starting to come to my side of the street a little bit.
I've seen some Vicky backlash, and I think Danny Pellegrino said in his podcast.
I think this is a valid point.
Having Vicky back on one show would be great.
Having double Vicky between Ultimate Girl's Trip and the OC might be wearing her welcome thin,
but my hope for Vicky is this, because I'm not counting her out by any means.
I'm hoping we're still in the beginning of the season.
She's coming on strong because she's been off for a while.
She's excited to be back.
And what I will say to her credit as well, she's doing her job.
And I'll never get mad at a housewife for doing their job, especially on this fucking cast.
So I'm not like throwing in the towel on Vicky by any means.
It's just more so like she irritates me personally.
But I can appreciate what she's doing for the show.
It's just she also doesn't have a lot of support, you know, because she's doing wacky shit.
She's loud.
She's, she's annoying.
And everyone else in those moments are just kind of like silent.
So, like, when she's making the Debbie Downer jokes, this is actually a good, I just put this together in my head.
This makes more sense to me.
She makes the jokes and then it's crickets.
Like, there's no response to Vicki's Vickyisms right now.
Like, we need, we need people to show up in the scene and like, oh, ha ha, or hey, shut up or whatever.
Drive the scene forward.
But, like, Vicki will make a statement and that's just, like, quiet.
And then we start talking about Gina.
Yeah.
Gene and Emily's friendship.
That was the other thing that we were looking forward to.
Again, it's every time I speak about this show,
it just makes it sound like I'm speaking way more positive.
And I think other people are like, yeah, shooter, you're wrong.
This show is really, really boring.
I'm like, I'm just trying to do something new, guys.
People need to get into the mindset.
That's why I tried to lay it out as like where you're coming from.
Like, you're not saying this is a stellar show.
You're saying, given the product we've had for a few years, like this is better, right?
But the thing is, it's self-serving.
I need everybody to know.
I'm doing this for my own mental well-being.
Because if we go down the,
we're already doing it with other shows.
Like,
I don't want to add another one.
If I can actively avoid hate watching again,
while the Valley is still on of all fucking shows,
our least favorite show right now,
if that's where we're going and I can kind of save myself from that,
I'm going to do it.
So guys,
just let me do it.
I don't need the comments.
You can comment.
I actually don't care.
But that's what I'm doing.
I need you to know what I'm up to.
No,
And I appreciate that because I don't want to do a full-blown hate watch either.
We did get a very, probably my favorite review that we've gotten.
I can't remember exactly what it said, but it said, ever since we didn't get invited
to BravoCon, we've been on like a vendetta or something where like ever since then we just hate
the network because we're mad that they didn't invite us to BravoCon.
But I didn't know which BravoCon.
I thought it was really funny.
I don't know which BravoCon, because we've been doing this for almost.
five years now. So like is it a five year grudge? Is it your grudge? Is it a one?
We finally hit our threshold. That's what it was. That one made me laugh.
It has nothing to do with the product that's been putting that we know. Not us, but the
problem is putting out. Yeah, there has nothing to do with that. It's all about us.
Because that's what that is to be fair when you go to like podcasts like white dudes having podcasts.
That is kind of what they do. They have a grudge at something and they want to get it off their
chest to be a podcast. So I don't blame anybody for thinking that. It's not what we're doing,
though. We've been doing this for too long to be like, yeah, this is our, we're heel turn
and against Bravo because we had a convention in Vegas that sounds exhausting. I would go if we had
like a paddle or something. But if we're just going and getting back, like it sounds exhausting.
I'd rather stay home or, you know, go golf. Watch the clips. But we, look, we do want to get to
BravoCon.
We're not mad that we have not been yet, but we do want to get there.
I thought we were going to go to Vegas.
And we just watched next gen.
And I'm like, wait a minute.
Are they going to, that's going to be annoying.
If we have doubled BravoCon episodes, I guess it's okay to see behind the scenes a little
bit, but I don't really care about this group going to BravoCon.
No, and we didn't get that.
But let's jump into what we did get.
And we are planning a Vegas trip.
I think it's laugh out loud funny.
given Ryan's background and the big question marks we've had there,
the question marks we still have.
Granted, he's been absolved from the Otani thing.
I think allegedly, don't quote me on this,
allegedly, allegedly, because he was helpful in the case
and, like, gave them some information.
Again, I don't know that for sure,
so don't nail me to the cross on that one.
I think Jen said that.
He cooperated the whole way and he was able to go out of it.
I think she said that, which,
is fine.
Yeah.
It's just really funny that there's still question marks.
And Jen's like,
I'm so excited to bring everyone to Vegas,
you know,
just because like Ryan knows so many.
I'm like,
oh, God.
So we're basing this trip off of being awesome
because of the connects that you have in Vegas due to Ryan,
who was on the hook for a big gambling scramble.
All right.
Scamble.
Scamble.
Yeah.
Scamble.
We all love a good scramble.
I don't know why,
but that makes me just feel like a lizard running is like a scampal.
Look at it.
Look at it.
Scamble away.
I will say if we learned this or if she dropped this little nugget of information that, of course,
he knows a bunch of people in Vegas a couple years ago before all the Otani stuff.
And we had a lot more questions about Ryan prior to that.
It would be worse.
We'd be sitting here like, oh, yeah, why does Ryan have?
Now it's like, yeah, of course he has connections to Vegas.
I don't know if it's the best thing.
But we move forward pretty quickly.
We would be hung up on that for a while.
Yeah, you're right.
But the big thing that's leading this episode off is this Emily,
and Gina Snapu that they're having
and then like the heather of it all
And we knew this is going to be a thing
I know, dude, it's just like
We had an opportunity.
It was an opportunity to do something different
To have two people who are actually friends
Be in a TIF
And it went away immediately.
It makes it's such a waste of time.
We've been talking about it for a couple of weeks.
We were analyzing the way that Emily was going about things,
the way the Gina was going about things
Was somebody wrong?
Was somebody right?
Who cares at the end of the day?
let's just see them get into a fight.
And it's over immediately.
It's just a waste of time.
Yeah.
And it really bothers me.
I think maybe that's why I started this episode, just kind of cranky.
Yeah.
And the more we dive into things, because you get Heather and Gina and Carmela,
and I'm happy that we're getting a sit down.
Like the one thing I've liked about Carmela thus far,
I like a lot of things about Carmela,
but one thing that she does well,
if there's an issue, if she butts heads with somebody,
we've seen her sit down with that person the following episode.
I think we've seen it two or three times now.
So I like that.
I like that we're getting to resolution.
I think we're talking things out.
My problem is not with Carmela.
My problem is on the other side with Gina.
Because now we're getting into this business opportunity that Jen has put forth to Carmela.
And again, are there questions?
Sure.
Is this a weird thing to do?
Yeah.
Can we kind of poke and prod a little bit?
Yes.
but the way in which Gina's going about it,
and I knew she was going to put on her realtor cap for this whole thing
and try and explain to us at home who have never heard of real estate before,
what this all means and why it's weird,
because and the fact that Gina has to explain multiple times,
I'm all for women supporting women,
but I don't believe you because you've done this now multiple times,
especially when it comes to Carmela or anybody in the real estate realm,
and you try to knock them down a peg.
And she's like, you know, it doesn't really make a lot of sense because it requires capital.
Jen means it doesn't have capital and this and that.
Like Carmela should know that.
Okay, you're right.
So let me just get this straight.
Jen, who is trying to figure out what to do with her life monetarily and just personally,
Jen gets offered $20,000 to go and do something that could be kind of fun.
And maybe she takes interest in.
And maybe that can turn into something down the road.
You're saying, Jen, because you don't have money,
You should turn down $20,000 because you can't do this.
Correct?
Pretty much.
I mean, that's pretty much what she's saying.
But I support women.
I just think for Gina, it's been a while since we really had to like analyze what
Gina is doing because usually we just don't care.
So I'll at least put my, my analytical hat on for her.
I think it would go a long way if she would just sit there and say, look, I worked really
fucking hard to get to the point that I'm at.
Like, yes, we make a lot of gated.
community jokes, all the things that she's been doing, whatever.
But I know that it took her a long time to get to where she is.
She had to do this.
She had to fight tooth and nail.
She had to get into this group pretty, you know, she had a rough time for a little while
with all the other rich women.
If she just said, it's kind of fucked up.
I mean, why are we just handing things out to Jen?
I don't understand why we're doing handouts to Jen.
This doesn't make sense.
She hasn't done anything.
It's one thing to go shadow Carmela and see what she does.
and then you can report back to the group or be like,
hey, maybe I'll look into that.
But yeah, when we start to analyze it and kind of dig through all the different layers to it,
you need to have capital to do what Carmela does.
Jen has done.
You have to do this.
You have to do that, whatever.
She might be able to get a foot in the door doing something similar to what Carmela's doing
or helping her out or helping somebody else out in her group, whatever, who cares?
But if Gina just sat there and said, well, it's kind of fucked up.
Like, why Jen?
Why is she just like, hey, Jen, here you go.
Here's a handout.
Go ahead and do that.
Then you have some righteous beef.
Then you have some actual issues and you can talk to Carmela about it.
Now, the thing is, Carmel has been very good at explaining things.
So I don't think that it would take a whole lot, like a long time for her to be like, look,
I talked to Jen.
She doesn't really know what to do, but she's interested in the real estate game.
I said do something a little bit different and go from there.
That would make sense to me too.
But at least if Gina came at it like, hey, I'm a little jealous.
This is annoying.
That's fine.
And that's a great point because that is honest.
That is something I would like to dive into because that would be actually interesting.
And then we could look at Gina's storyline since you became a housewife and actually potentially have some sympathy and empathy for because it would be like, all right, you did have to kind of scratch your way into this group.
And you did start out way further down on the totem pole and you've worked your way up.
And all jokes aside, you have built yourself a nice career.
You're making some money.
You're doing pretty well.
I know like to show in the gated group, but like that's objective fact.
So like props to you.
And if we took it from a place of like when I came into this group, nobody.
gave me the time of day i had no money people made jokes about i had to read about it on mine and here you're
just giving jen 20 000 i help pick out things with you like that pisses me up i would be so much more team jeb
yeah that's fair like let's get into this yeah but that's not the route she takes she takes the route of
i know better and carmella you should know better too like come on nice she's not yeah she's going after
carmel and like that's the other thing is it's not wrong to go after carmela ask her questions go into her
and be like why are you choosing jenn why are we doing this this is kind of weird
you don't do something like that that's fine
but the way she goes about it is just the worst possible way
where we talked about this before
she's got the gated group she feels like she's finally up there
now she's judging people
that's not what you're supposed to do
when you go from middle class to upper middle class
you realize the struggle along the way
and you look at someone else and you go hey
what the fuck are you doing ask some questions
hey I've been there before
this is kind of fucked up that you're just getting a handout
I'd be okay with that I don't know if I'd support Gina
I know you just said that you'd be like
I'd be closer to team Gina.
I don't think I would ever do that.
But I will at least understand
where she's coming from.
This whole like sticking her nose up
at everybody else.
Like what are we doing here?
Yeah, we can't.
It's one,
it's not Gina.
Like not being mean.
It's just not you.
It's not the personality that you've had.
I don't like your personality.
You're boring as shit.
This isn't you.
You don't do the judging thing.
That's what Heather's going to do.
That's what Tamara's going to do.
You don't do that.
Find your niche or niche as Carmela says.
That's her one hiccup this season.
niche. I hate when people do that. But find your little level. Get in there, play your role and be
normal. Don't do this. I don't want to see any of this. I don't either. And now she's also going
the route of, you know, talking about Shannon coming to Carmela's defense, which again, I'm like,
Gina, you talk over anybody if they're going after Emily or Heather for that matter. And like,
that's the funniest thing is now she's in this weird pickle between Heather and Emily somewhat.
I'm like, whose side are you going to take because you're trying to say that, oh, it drives me nuts when Heather talks about this.
Any time you have a chance to snuggle up the Heather, you have.
Unless it has to do like directly with Emily.
We've seen some heads butt there.
But don't act like you're this staunch supporter or like going after Heather.
She does something wrong because we see what you do.
And now you're getting mad at Shannon or sticking up for Carmela and making valid points.
It's not like Shannon was throwing random shit against the wall.
Like, she was actually making a lot of sense.
And one of the few times I've agreed with Shannon.
So that was weird to me too.
It's also just a stupid storyline.
Like, let's just call it what it is.
Like, why are we even having a conversation about this?
You're talking on a housewife show about another housewife
explaining what the other housewife is doing.
That's part for the course.
We see that every episode, not every season, not every storyline, not every once in a
what we see in every single episode.
You guys actually have friendships that develop.
up and then you answer for them or you talk for them, whatever it might be.
We get to the bottom of it so quickly to the point where Shannon's like, look, she's,
she's new to the group.
It's tough to get in here.
Even Heather co-signs that.
It's tough to get in here.
You got to answer for some things.
I didn't want you guys jumping all over.
So I started doing it.
But I understand why that's wrong.
It's like, wow, I get that and I actually appreciate that from Shannon because you
don't get to see her actually just succinctly answer something.
But at the same time, did we really need to talk about this twice, three times?
No, we didn't.
No, don't worry because we're going to go.
to a scene now with Emily and
Shane and Annabelle.
And we're switching rooms.
We are switching rooms in this house.
We are bringing furniture in and boxes,
not even like fancy,
nice furniture that you get delivered already put together
because it's expensive.
We're talking like, yeah,
the shit that we buy, which no shade to us,
but we are not real housewives
where we're supposed to be throwing our money around.
So this entire thing,
this whole scene,
is about moving rooms.
It's about furniture being delivered.
And it's about once again,
Emily saying that her and Shane hate each other.
Here's...
Yeah.
That's what she said.
It's that with the caveat of
we were spending so much time with our one child
that we neglected our other two.
Why are we doing this right now?
You got so much shit.
And look, we didn't,
we weren't leaving the charge,
but we did ask the question like, hey, maybe don't do that.
Why are we doing this with Luke?
It's probably not a great look.
People online didn't really care for it.
Don't do this again.
Don't do not even step a toe into that water again.
It's just so stupid.
But it makes your marriage look terrible.
It makes you look like a bad mom.
And then those questions have to be answered.
I don't think she's a bad mom.
I think she's fine.
I don't either.
But she wants to talk about something during the show to make it seem like there's
something going on in her life.
Meanwhile,
she's just got a teenager who doesn't want to clean her fucking room.
That doesn't mean you then say,
hey,
I feel like I've been spending too much time with Luke trying to get his diagnosis down.
And then I neglected my children.
Makes you look terrible.
That's my point.
Like,
I don't think she's trying to actively make her home life look miserable
or actively make it look like her and Shane hate each other,
even though it seems like they actually do hate each other.
Yeah.
But she's trying to find things.
and she only apparently knows how to use her kids to try to get a storyline.
Like, for example, like you just said, Annabelle's a teenager doesn't want to clean her room.
Totally.
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense to me.
Or, you know, Keller's acting out because Luke unplugged his computer.
So he whacked him in the back of the head.
I'm like, well, yeah, if my brother unplugged my computer, I would whack him in the back of the head.
These are not like damning things in the correct.
Yeah.
So when you paint it in the back of the head, I'm like,
the way that you're painting it. It's like, well, wait, this doesn't seem like completely out of
the norm for children to be acting out in these ways. But the way that she talks about it,
it's almost like she's saying, because of my neglectfulness, all of my kids are acting out.
Shane and I hate each other because we have to give too much attention to the kids.
This takes me back to the valley, like we talked about last week, where it's like, okay,
If you blame the kids and your home life for all of your stress, anxiety, and issues, it makes it seem like you don't like any of it.
And I don't think that's like a good excuse.
It's like in the Valley, our problem was Danny, Nia, they all blame the kids for Danny acting out.
Danny being an asshole.
We're tired or sleep deprived.
The kids are this, that, this.
It's not all miserable, all the things.
time. And Emily makes it seem all miserable all the time. And I don't think that it is all
miserable all the time. I don't think she's a bad mom, like you said. But because she doesn't
know how else to try to drum up a storyline other than to use her kids and Shane, it just comes
off miserable. And the worst part, the worst part. And this actually feel bad for her, even
amidst all of that. We don't care at all. Like not even that much. Like nobody wanted to see this
scene across the country.
No, no one needed the scene.
There was no mention of Shane's
in and out burger t-shirts
and how many he has.
That's somehow the most interesting part about their
home life. I actually have questions about
that one. That's it. That's all
we need. There aren't, it's
okay to be a housewife on a show.
I mean, look at Meredith Marks. We barely go to her
house anymore. Our kids moved out. We don't
need to check in. And when we do check in, it's her and
Seth sitting down and doing a hanging by the threat episode.
And they look miserable too. And they look miserable too.
and they look miserable too.
Sometimes you just don't need to go home to a housewife.
Sometimes you don't need to go figure out what their lives are like.
It's okay.
It's not the end of the world.
You can be a supporting character.
That works better for a lot of people.
But we go over to Carmela and her boyfriend for one of those scenes that, you know, again, this is kind of chalked up to.
I don't know if we should be seeing this.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't even know how to analyze it, really.
It's them trying to figure out, you know,
he had his infidelity and she's still trying to recover from that and the trust in the relationship
is fucked up and the kids are involved and that's where when she starts talking about the kids
and she's like I had no we don't need to see this one no you see this one this is this is why are we
this was getting ahead of it I mean the first thing out of his mouth he sits down and has pizza
I mean we talk about her getting you know late on set like adult diabetes which is sad
and that sounds like she's like struggling with that and figuring it out.
So that's one thing to know about her.
That's good.
Let's talk about that.
Let's sit down with your boyfriend and talk about that maybe.
Instead,
the first thing out of his mouth is that all that stuff about me can come up yet with these women.
It's episode six.
You haven't even been on the show that long.
Why are you on camera and you're bringing it up?
It's like what's his nuts, Rhode Island?
That fucking guy.
Oh, dude, I hope not.
We don't need any more of that guy.
But yeah, I didn't see this one coming, even with the teaser for, you know, after the commercial break that I did watch the commercials. I didn't really see this one coming. We have a whole conversation about trust issues and when they're going to get there. It didn't seem like a very happy conversation. No one's asking about it. This is not some big public scandal. Also, his teeth fucking creeped me out. I don't know if you caught that. He's got like those really, really bad veneers. And it looks like a lot of Botox around his mouth. So he couldn't really open his mouth. It was really bothering me.
But yeah, I didn't notice that.
I was taking notes.
I don't think that anyone was going to bring this one up.
It's not some big public scandal.
It's not like he's, you know, in office or something somewhere.
And people are going to know about it and start asking Carmela about it.
I mean, we already talked about Jeff Garcia's infidelities.
Did we really have to talk about this guy's infidelities?
I don't think any of those women would have found out unless they know the mistress or they have a friend who knows this person and then it comes up.
It stinks to me of getting ahead of it just in case.
And like, you don't have any skeletons in the closet.
But in my mind, I'm like, I don't think anybody's going to ask you about this.
I don't think anybody knows about it or needs to know about it.
Struggle with it in your home life, take it off camera and deal with it there.
Don't bring it to the camera right away because now we've got more questions.
I could see it coming up next season or the following, like when she gets her sea legs a little bit.
But then she'd also be more readily prepared to answer it because this, all this is going to do is the other cast members are going to watch, see this.
and now they're going to dig.
Now they are definitely going to dig
to try to find out more information.
And again, I think we chalked this one up under like,
we, nope, didn't need to see this one.
Didn't need this one.
No, no, no, definitely didn't need this.
Plus, it kind of does,
and we talk about getting ahead of things,
especially when you're new,
like get those skeletons out of the closet immediately
so no one can go after it.
It does take away from the show of it in a weird way
when people do this.
Like, if it happens organically
or very, very inorganically, either way,
Someone else finds out about it and brings it up to you on screen.
We get a raw, organic moment.
We get an actual thing that you have to discuss in front of the other women and
they go after you back and forth, whatever it might be.
That's an okay scene and I can handle that type of stuff while you're talking about it.
Maybe you have a breakdown and start crying and saying it's affecting the kids,
whatever, it just gets sad.
But this one, I don't really, you don't need to get ahead at this one because I feel like
it's kind of taking stuff off of our plate.
We'll see what comes of it because, again, she opened that door now.
and it's fair game.
Once you talk about it on camera,
it's fair game.
So if the other ladies want to pull the prod.
Yeah,
exactly.
We get a scene with Heather and her mom and Shannon and Vicky.
I don't know what this was for.
I think it was just so Heather could show off that she has do bro bags.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what this was.
And I guess it was for her mom to tell Shannon that she has a tequila thing when she gets a cough.
takes a shot of tequila and feels better okay and vicky and
kiki and korel live close to each other in parts of iir five miles and sometimes
they see each other at lunch yeah yeah and shannon or vicky one of the two i didn't
really pay attention to the scene that they really like the skincare that uh two pro had so
yeah yeah shannon really like it's funny you said that because i literally wrote in my notes
mom tells some story about heather but i'm not paying attention
she would write now now i remember she would write a list down of all the kids that she wanted
to become friends with and it was for play dates or something it's like that's just who you are
you always want to have new friends like okay oh okay so i get it so now it's it's building
further into this storyline of heather doesn't have friends and wants to have ah there we go okay
that's okay at least you're able to tie it into something because i literally was like what
loosely yeah very loosely but i'll take uh any connection we can get
get now we get to the airport pre-flight uh emily fell off of a e-bike because she was mad at
Shane that's funny yeah that wasn't funny until i just started talking about that she was once
again mad at Shane uh hit a rogue speed bump and went down um so weirdly somehow this is
Shane's fault which is yeah kind of funny uh and yeah that's that's about it before we
And Shane also thinks that it's it's her fault.
It's karma because she was mean to him before she left.
Also, rogue speed bump is kind of funny.
I might start using that one.
Parker came out of nowhere.
I don't know what that'll happen.
There's a lot of rogue speed bumps.
What is there a speed,
those speed pillows?
Don't even give me started on those.
Don't you.
He started at the worst tables, dude.
Oh, dude.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Anyway, let's get to the funniest part is because I have like a heavy duty
shocks on my truck.
I get indicted.
ignorant at those things and I just go full full speed yeah yeah I'd do the same thing I don't
have the shocks I just don't care I would do it yeah regardless just because I'm a rebel but let's get
to Vegas and we got showgirl boot camp with Stacy the show girl and you know laser's just having
a fun time and uh carmela this is the one thing that came from this scene other than you know
them having a fun time dressing up like showgirls because carmela says that Jen and
shouldn't get married right now or they should have a conversation with kids saying that
Ryan and I are happy with each other and we have a very stable and safe home I was like let's not
project too hard okay I don't project too hard Carabella because you're just saying what's going
on at your house and again unintentionally opening up this door that all of these other ladies
sitting around like Tamara is going to hear that go ooh what's going on there why are you
supporting Jen in this because we've been talking about whether or not her and Ryan are going to get
married forever. If you go back to the first episode when we started all of this, Tamara, who is now
friends with Jen once again, did say they're never going to get married. And if they do,
I'm going to have a lot of questions about it. So you know Tamras there hearing that. Like,
why are we doing this? What is your tie to this, Carmela? What's going on? And then we'll tie that
back in to Carmela hiring Jen for $20,000. Why is she hiring Jen for $20,000? What's
going on there. If there's something interesting that we can talk about, Tamara will find
belt. Yep. See, and that you don't want that smoke. Not your first season, Carmella. You
don't want Tamara smoke. You can probably handle everybody else. From what I've seen, I think
she would be just fine with the majority of this cast. Rookie going up against Tamara never
bodes well for the rookie. No, no, it doesn't.
The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army
scattered like bones in the dust.
Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world,
praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight.
But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins.
This is old school adventuring at its most cruel.
Your torch ticks down in real time.
And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job.
This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a story that emerges organically
based on the decisions that the characters make.
This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s,
and man, it is so good to be back.

Anyway, Gina and Emily sit down to hash everything out.
You know, we've been waiting for this for a while.
These two are finally budding heads, and they're finally going to come to blows, if you will.
Nope, they're just going to sit down and things are a little tense between you and I.
And immediately, and this is actually kind of smart on Gina's part because it just kind of like puts them on the same team again.
She said, well, Heather brought it up that I father sure we're in a room together.
And now they're teamed up again.
So like they forego all of that stuff.
But if you really watch what happens during this scene, Emily says her piece, right?
Like why am I not allowed to talk about the clutch?
Why am I not allowed to do this?
Why am I not allowed to do that?
and Gina goes, all right, so we're good.
Everything's good.
I'm glad we did this.
So Gina just eats shit doesn't really get any words in.
Emily gets to say exactly how she's feeling and because she doesn't want to lose her best friend who she has to again tell us scene after scene after scene, this is my best friend.
She just eats it.
Yeah.
That's it.
That's essentially what happens.
Yep.
That's essentially what happens.
And the buildup was for absolutely nothing.
This is one of those things where, yeah, maybe we.
see a couple of cracks here and there and we start going after and start talking about it.
A lot of times we just play the one if game like, oh, what if this turns into that,
especially with this show? And it never really works out. This was like built into production.
This was every episode we're talking about Gina and Emily and we're seeing it fall apart.
So if this is truly the end of it, that was all for nothing. That's what I mean where it was a time
waster because we, what little we have to invest in this show right now, we invested pretty much
everything into that and going after Heather.
Both things now are seemingly gone.
So while it's okay here and there,
there's some interesting conversations,
some funny moments,
primarily Emily riding a speed bike into a rogue speed bump,
those things will only satiate us for a long enough time.
If there's nothing else here and those things went away very quickly,
what more do we have?
That's when Tamara starts initiating things.
That's when Tamara gets involved because she looks around and says nothing's going on.
Let me poke and prod.
Let me go back after Shannon.
Let me go after the new girl.
That's what we don't want.
And those are the falls, the pitfalls that we get with this show all the time.
Isn't necessarily the Tamer's doing her job.
It's that it's out of necessity that she has to do her job.
Because all the things that we've been leading up to are gone.
It's gone in an instant.
Like this was nothing.
There should have been a longer conversation and maybe there will be.
I still have some sort of hope that their production team is doing it the right way.
And like, all right, we have to see these things every step of the way because they quote unquote make up in Vegas.
but it goes right back to it as soon as they get back to the OSA, maybe,
but I don't want to have to hope for that.
I don't want to have to pray for that to make this show something good.
I agree.
I think that's where it gets a little irritating is when you build us up on something
and then this is the quote unquote payoff.
It's like, all right, well, is that the end of Gina and Emily feuding?
Like, was this really it?
I hope not.
And it's it going to shift.
And I think it is because I think, and I'd be okay if this is the direction they go a little,
a little bit.
If we're getting those two back together to go after Heather again,
because now we're doing this whole entire storyline where Heather has no friends.
Everyone's buddyed up except for Heather,
and she wants a buddy.
That's really interesting to me, actually.
Not even just for this show.
That's an interesting topic because it's more of a character study into Heather Dubrow,
the person,
because we've watched her year after year,
keep everybody in an arm's length. That's what she does. She doesn't get that invested. She doesn't get that involved. We know that she doesn't hang out with these people in the offseason. That's very well documented. But now it's kind of leaving her out on an island. And if Heather feels like she's on an island and starts acting out because of it and other people start poking and prodding trying to understand why she's on an island, then we look back her history and it's like, you're never friends with anybody. That's why you don't have any friends. You're not actually close. You're not actually genuine. You're not authentic. That would be a very
interesting plot point. Do I have hope that we're going to get there? No.
Yeah. That's the thing that we always run into. It's the thing that we always run into.
It's what I was just saying with the what if game that we have to play with this. And we do it with a lot of shows.
That's your example that you need for when we tell you like, hey, we want these shows to be good.
That's exactly what we meet. When there's nothing going on and it's really boring and you can kind of see where it's going and there's such a clear path down to get to the point that we've been at with OC for the last couple of years, that's where we get scared.
and that's when we start spiraling
and that's when we start making things up
that aren't going to happen.
That's what we do.
A lot of our,
a lot of our recaps for a defense mechanism.
It's about 15 minutes of you and I
just playing that game.
Like, all right,
maybe we'll go this way.
That could be kind of interesting.
And it never pans out.
And that's the thing.
We might just have to accept that.
It's just a boring show right now.
Yeah.
Yep.
But we have to watch Shannon get upset about her room
because of electromagnetic radiation,
which totally, yeah.
If you're going to blame that on the,
fucking elevator like you're surrounded by Wi-Fi, you're surrounded by cell phones and
cell phone reception. Like it's just ridiculous when we're going with the electromagnetic
radiation. Okay. But we get to dinner and we're cleaning some things up. Now,
the first thing is the vibrators were thrown in the garbage. And now Vicki's like, oh, you didn't
share them with the girls? I'm like, no, now we're going to be ha-ha about this thing.
originally we were looking at the bio like oh
be okay with that. We have to be
okay with that one. If they're not
going to look they could have easily
perpetuated. They could have easily been like you should have
thrown them in the garbage at the first place and then we have a whole
argument that we really don't want to hear.
This is okay. If you want to turn on a dime
and act like it's a joke now, go for it.
You're right. You're right. I got to pick and choose
my battles here. You are correct.
But Shannon addresses
Gina and about
the Carmella versus Gina thing. She's like, look,
I felt bad for Carmela. So I
spoke up on her behalf and you jumped down my throat and and yelled at me about it and i actually agreed
with shannon in this scene i agree with her sentiment you do have every right to speak as much as everybody
else and you do get knocked down and kind of shit on when he do try to jump into things and that's not
fair and it was nice to see you go to bat for carmella because we don't always see shannon stick up for
people and in this instance it was warranted because we are all trying to understand i mean we know why
Gina's going after.
She's wildly jealous of her.
But no one else is speaking up.
No one else is jumping in.
Carmela is new.
She's given really no reason for people to not like her yet,
other than offering Jen $20,000 and that pisses people off.
But I like that Shannon spoke up.
And I'm like, I like that she addressed why in this scene and kind of went after,
not went after Gina, but was enough to kind of check her and be like, hey.
And maybe this is a different Shannon Bedore that we're going to see this season,
because we've seen how she goes back and forth with Tamara, right?
And she always gets knocked down because Tamara loses her shit.
It turns into a whole blowout.
We watched that season after season.
We haven't seen a Shannon go up against somebody else.
And I think that that actually would be entertaining because I think she can handle a Gina.
I think she can handle an Emily.
That's something that we could potentially look forward to again.
We're doing it again.
Look, I think that the.
way that Shannon went about it is a way that Shannon doesn't typically go about things.
She was able to somehow explain what she was doing in a way that everybody understood.
Everybody at the table looked around like, yeah, that totally makes sense.
Carmela even spoke up saying, look, I don't need you to fight my battles, but I appreciate
what you were doing.
It was support.
And she said that at the lunch earlier in the episode.
So we've got some consistency there.
That's good.
And she was also able to say, I understand where you're coming from, Gina, because you want
to get to know her, because you want to ask her these questions, she should have to answer.
So I get it why it might be annoying to you.
Now, we did see a couple of slips, especially during that last dinner, where Shannon was checking
in, looking at Bicky, looking at Tamara, saying, what the fuck?
Like, Gina speaks over everybody.
What the hell's going on here?
So maybe some of those things will start to kind of swim their way through, if you will.
And I agree with you.
Shannon against Gina, while it's clearly not the most compelling thing, if that was like Friday
night, fight night and Shannon Bador versus Gina was up there, we'd probably skip that one.
just in the grand scheme of things.
There's a lot of other things that would be way more entertaining.
But again, for a show like this, you have to find different ways through.
Other people aren't getting involved as much.
And that's something a little different.
I'm always going to take something different when it comes to this cast.
I agree.
And I mean, that's pretty much the end of this episode.
You know, Tamara does call out Gina for this whole thing.
So maybe that'll go somewhere.
I don't know.
But I'm hoping that we just kind of shift how we've been on this show.
We shift what we're talking about.
going after. The one
sliver of hope I have is
we are seeing some different
things. Some different shit
is happening. So that
gives me hope that maybe more different
shit can happen. And if
it does come down to Heather
being
on the outs, which she kind
of is right now, like she's not viving with
everybody as she normally does,
that is what we've wanted to see for a while.
For years, we've wanted to see them finally
kind of go after Heather a little bit and
to see how she responds.
It's not that I want people to drag Heather down to hell.
I want to see what she does because in years past,
she's able to get activated,
has her moment,
tells somebody off,
steps back and keeps it in arm's length.
And that's it.
And nothing comes up.
So if we can see her actually get involved
and something carried all the way out,
all the way through,
I'm in.
It could be something.
You could have me there.
predictions
yeah
Josie T-bear
is hopeful for this season
all right
there we go
come on
um
god
uh Jennifer M2M
if I see Shannon
stumble for comic relief
one more time
I'm throwing my vibrator
at the TV kidding
about the vibrator
just a nod to Carmela
that's funny
well done
that's funny
um from Marissa and
Palma
what's more cringy
Vicky trying to sell
the Ultimate Girls cast
life insurance or being a showgirl.
Vicki is a little cringy time to time and that's kind of part of the charm.
I think if I had to answer,
it probably to life insurance,
but that also I found very funny.
Alex Coydall,
should we all just quit?
You guys certainly can hang in there.
I would say hang in there and just see,
at least get through half the season.
Oh, yeah,
see,
just to say that I'm not out on an island by myself here.
It's wine o'clock somewhere now.
I'm so over Vicky.
Yeah, there's there's some of us out here.
But I do think again, like, you know, we got to look at it through the, the show perspective of,
is it detrimental to the show that she is doing what she's doing?
And no, it's not.
And it's her trying.
And we have clamored for effort.
That's all we've wanted for years is effort.
So I'm not going to knock her for putting effort in.
Yeah, I agree.
thought from Coley Marie 1
what's Heather really upset about
RE Gina and Emily is it
that she wants to be with one of them
like staying in the room with them
I don't know
I think it is just
about as deep as what they got into
that they do think Gina and Emily
go back which they've seen before that's the funny
thing about these shows they say
oh when Gina and Emily we go
to bed we're just eating snacks
we're eating gummies and just hanging out and
relaxing it's like no
we watch this back.
You guys do go back to your room and talk shit on other people.
So you can't say that you don't do that whenever,
obviously for the last like five or six seasons,
we've seen that.
But I think that's really just it.
Sometimes it is just as deep as they actually say it is.
And especially on a show like this,
there's no underlying issues.
It's just, hey, I don't like that you guys debrief.
I'd like to be part of that debrief.
Yeah, that's it.
That's really it.
But that's the funny thing is Heather
seemingly gets the ick when she starts getting too close to somebody.
So it's kind of like a shoot herself in her foot situation where it's like,
you know,
you don't put yourself out there enough to have that type of friendship with somebody on this show.
And you get upset that you don't have that friendship with somebody on the show.
Yeah, exactly.
I like this.
I'll save that one for last, actually.
I'll do one more and then we'll get to that.
this is kind of funny because it has nothing to do with OC
but I'm going to read it anyway from Sands Filters
Do you think that Lisa Barlow deserves a better cast on Salt Lake City?
Why?
He has to do with that.
Maybe, oh, you know what?
It's probably that you think it's a ultimate girls recap.
I'll answer it anyway.
Yes, I think she deserves a better cast.
But also there's so many other shows that need like rebuilding
and Salt Lake is doing well enough right now.
Obviously, we'll talk about that in a couple of weeks when it comes back.
but yeah sure why not she deserves a better cast not everybody like that's a good cast overall i don't
want to shit but yeah there's a couple of moves you could make or bring some people in but um also though
then you got a she's a big fish in a little pond you want her to be a little fish in a big pond like
that whole thing point it's a very good point uh and then this last one from hm falkner
if you could be part of a vegas show what would you do cirque sounds fun uh what do
They do anything in Cirque.
I know.
I would love to give a trapeze a shot.
Yeah, as long as the safety, that's like right there.
Tell you what I would do.
Thunder from there and under.
God.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a really good point.
Yeah.
Yeah, one of those.
Hey, there's other things.
I just don't, I'm not familiar with all of the shows in Vegas.
I would do maybe like an impersonator.
just find somebody very
goofy and niche to just be an impersonator.
That's what I would do.
I think they're saying what show would you want to perform?
Yeah, I would perform as an impersonate.
I got you.
I like the people that do residencies in Vegas
because I can never tell if that's like a big win
or if that's like a step back in your career.
Because obviously you make a ton of money
and you perform every night.
But I don't know if that's like the pinnacle
or is that like?
No, it's the twilight years.
I think it's the twilight years.
Yeah, unless you like, put that.
