Bros & Shows - War Comes to Westeros (House of the Dragon s02ep03 Part 2)
Episode Date: July 2, 2024How art thy Broseth? It is part 2 of our recap of HoTD episode 3! In the conclusion, Rhaenyra sends Rhaenyra off with the children and the eggs to secure the future of House Targaryen (i.e. Danearys's... dragon eggs...) Heleana forgives Alicent of boinking Criston Cole while Jahearys was slain, but in doing so also confirms that Alicent is in part to blame for what happened. Aegon prepares to fly off to war but Larys spins a quick rumor to persuade him otherwise, and he ends up going to a Brothel with his boys, aka the new knights guard, instead. We're introduced to Ulf, a bastard son of Baelon the Brave, which introduces the idea of Dragonseed's (Targaryen bastards). Aegon and co. enter a brothel and find Aemond laying with the Madame and we're shown that Aegon has never treated Aemond very well. Criston Cole and Gwayne are nearly taken out by Baela who nearly dracarys's them to death but shows restraint. Daemon has a supernatural experience at Harrenhall where he is met with the foreboding "you will die here" from a cloaked woman. In a last ditch effort to avoid war, Rhaenyra infiltrates King's Landing and speaks with Alicent face to face. In this scene, the discussion of what Viserys said on his death bed finally comes to light... And both sides were rattled to their core upon hearing it... Introducing BravBros Members! DC high volume, Batman.
The Dark Knight's definitive DC comic stories
adapted directly for audio
for the very first time.
Fear, I have to make them afraid.
He's got a motorcycle, get after him, or have you shot?
What do you mean blow up the building?
From this moment on,
none of you are safe.
New episodes every Wednesday,
wherever you get your podcasts.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be...
Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
We move on. We get Rana and Rina's getting ready to bounce, and she's got StormCloud and Thraxas, the baby dragons, they're not full grown yet.
And she's pissed.
And she...
always, I guess, feels like she is the odd man out.
Like, people don't respect her like they do.
She doesn't have a dragon.
She doesn't have a dragon.
Very Amund.
Very A man.
And Bela, you know.
Let's get her a pig.
Did Aman have a pig?
Yeah, remember they said we got you a dragon and some wings?
Yep, I do.
I forgot about that.
But yeah, and she's also got Bela who is a badass.
Yep.
So she looks up to Bala.
She's also jealous of Baila.
So that's a whole thing there.
And I think that the saving grace of this moment was,
she feels like this is a demeaning project
that she's being sent on
whereas I would imagine to Renera
this is one of the most important things
not just because of the dragon eggs
but her actual babies but you put the dragon eggs into it
that seemed to change how Raina was looking
at it was like oh fuck you're entrusting me
with the future of the Targaryens pretty much
I think that she yeah I think that her whole world
has been crumbling just because
when Luceris died
she went from potentially being the
people are going to yell at us for not knowing the titles
but she would have been the queen of Driftmark?
No.
There's Lord of the Tides.
She would have been...
Queen.
She would have been Lady of the Tides?
Lady of the Tide.
So, yeah, she would have been Lady of the Tide.
She would have been Lady of the Tide.
But she also, she might still be Lady of the Tide.
She could still be, but they're having that conversation aside.
No one else is having that conversation right now.
Look at us. We got to it. It's Lady of the Tide.
Lady of the Tide.
Oh, yeah. No one else is having that conversation except for Rainies and Corliss, which, you know,
for all intents of purposes, they should be there.
the ones to talk about it.
But Reneer is sending her away.
So not only did she lose her betrothed,
she lost her inheritance in her mind,
and she's going to Pentos.
Yeah.
While war is going on,
while her kin are dying.
Right.
While everybody else gets to fight in battle.
I don't have a dragon,
but you're giving me dragon eggs.
Are one of these dragons going to become mine?
I'm not really sure yet,
but I'm already of age
and I should have a dragon at this point.
So I think that everything in her world
that she saw coming is now completely gone.
Agreed.
And she's going away.
She's like, what the fuck?
I agree with that.
All of that.
I'm saying once the dragons were introduced,
the eggs, she seemed to change her tune a little bit.
Yeah, maybe.
That's what I got from now.
But I do like that we're not agreeing on everything.
This is fun.
This is interesting.
I also, if I'm in Westeros,
fuck that.
I'm going to the Free Cities.
There's never anything going on over there.
Pentos, Esos, like, they...
What do you mean?
Everyone just bounces and goes over there.
What do you mean?
What I mean?
What happened in the Free Cities during Game of Thrones?
There's a ton of slavery, and DeNaris came through and basically killed all the slaves.
She freed all the slaves, which she did for them.
And killed all of the slave owners and hung them on the wall.
Killed everybody else.
And she put them in a big, yeah, yep, I remember it.
Stuck them on the wall.
She crucified a bunch of them.
Yep, I remember that now.
Yeah.
Not to mention, we also saw last year that the free cities were the ones who were funding the crab feeder.
There's probably some more shit going on there.
There's war everywhere.
Actually, maybe not in Dorm.
Let's go to Dorn.
Go to Dorn.
Yeah.
Dorn is the place.
to be. It's nice. The climate
is nice. It's warm.
Pedro Pascal's over there. Yeah. Everybody,
Pedro Pascal's probably there.
Three, four hundred years before, but he's probably there.
He's all right. Yeah. He's immortal.
Yeah. He got his head crushed and now he's like
one of the most famous people in the world.
That was his like big break actually.
That's when he came into the scene. But I know
he did stuff before that. He was in this nut. I know, but he became a
superstar after that. Let's be real. Anywho,
moving on, we get Helena and
Allison and it's interesting to note again
like in the scene prior
we get Reneer like entrusting her life
her kids and the dragon eggs to
other people being like please get these out of danger
flash to this scene
she just hands off a grandkid to a rando
and it's like get out of here I got to talk to Helena real quick
just the priorities
and you're going to go with the
dragon keepers yeah these easy later
yeah it'll be fine but it's
also she is so stuck
on the fact that Helena caught her
banging Kristen cold
during the murder
that's all she's looking for is vindication
that she's not at fault.
It's, yeah, and you are at fault.
You 100% just because she forgave you doesn't,
that's implied that you were going.
I actually thought the funny thing was,
Helena is slowly,
it might look like she's coming to
and getting her grip.
You think it's the opposite.
I think it's the opposite. I think she's going further into madness.
You could argue that point of, you know, kids die all the time.
Yeah.
Yeah, I've come to terms of that one.
Kids die all the time.
okay yeah really who am i like that or you know in the womb yeah when they're talking about like
the small folk they lose like who am i to have more grief than them looking at them like i'm
some perspective there at least yeah they made it's you know it's very cold and no emotion they
probably died from illness or like malnutrition from you know a bad king but your kid was decapitated
yeah in front of you yeah you're allowed to feel also because there's a bad king yeah so
It's weird because she's battling with it where it's, yes, that is good perspective to have Helena.
Sure.
But I just love that the, by the way, I forgive you, actually made things worse for Allison.
Yeah.
Because now it's like, oh, you know what I'm dealing right now.
And you are placing blame on me because you're forgiving me for it.
So you are saying it's my fault.
Damn it.
It is your fault.
God damn it.
Correct.
It is your fault.
100% you're gross and stop banging Knights Guard men.
Yep.
Seriously.
It's bad look.
Just because you're man at Renera.
Yeah, not a good look.
Nope.
Grow up.
Stupid.
Child.
Cheater pan.
Yeah.
Anywho, we move on.
We get Agon and his new armor, but it's actually Agon the Conqueror's armor.
And it doesn't fit.
Doesn't fit.
Well, that's also, I think, important.
I think they did that on purpose to make him look silly.
And he's sitting there.
He's getting ready to ride out to, like, prove his masculinity.
And he's drinking a fucking flagging of ale with his boys in the room.
They're like, this is a great idea, dude.
You should definitely, you look fucking sick, by the way.
Yep.
You know, bro, that armor's sick, dude.
High five.
And it's just a conqueror?
Yeah, sick.
You're a fuck, bro.
Agon who?
You're the real Agon.
We're going to stay here, right?
Yeah, we're chilling though, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, because we've got to go down to the brothel.
You can go.
Yeah.
We're going to the brothel in five.
We've got to get our new boy laid.
Yeah.
Like this whole scene is just nuts.
But what it does is cement Larris into the keep.
Like he comes in and says, I would rather not have our king go out there, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Goes up.
Spits game to Agon.
Agon appreciates what he said to him as far as...
There's rumors about as to why you're leaving.
Some people are saying,
oh, he's going to prove that he's a leader.
He's going to go out there and lead the armies and conquer the world.
Other people are saying that the council talked to you into it
so that they can run what's going on here with Aymid at their side.
Which I love that that follows up directly with Laris asking the one Kingsguard guy,
what's going on here?
Yeah.
He didn't know that Aigam is leaving.
So if you don't even know that Agon's leaving,
none of the other people do.
There's no whispers going on out there.
It's really funny because Allison last week is saying
Agon is still malleable, just not for you.
Yeah, right.
He is for Lorris.
Laris can straight up lie to him because he's an idiot
and he'll be able to twist him and turn him into whatever.
And he goes, you know what?
I've been thinking about this.
I do need a master of whispers.
Yeah, you're pretty good at this.
Maybe you could be my guy.
All right, there you go.
You know what?
You're close.
that ass in here.
You're cool with me.
Yeah.
And then his fucking moron friends talking about,
yeah,
you know,
we just got to get,
we got this new guy in here.
We got to go get him out.
He hasn't gotten laid yet.
We're going to the brothel tonight.
Agon immediately,
you guys swore an oath,
though.
Chastity,
they're like,
ha, come on.
Wait, you're serious?
Seriously, though?
And you can see,
AGO is struggling with that.
He looks at himself in the mirror.
He's like, who am I?
Who am I?
Who am I?
What am I supposed to be doing here?
I don't know.
What the hell I'm doing?
I was just about to take a dragon out to war, but this seems better.
This seems like more fun.
Yeah, I'm going to stick with this.
You get that stupid smirk at the end of the scene, which means, you know, fuck it.
Yeah.
Let's go, boys.
Boys night out.
I'm the king.
I'm going to go to a tavern and get drunk and go to a brothel.
It seems like a great idea.
But we move on from there, and we get introduced to Ulf, who I guess is a bastard son of Jaharis?
Baylon.
Baylon.
Baylon.
Oh, yeah, right.
Baylon the brave.
son of bail on the brave, uncle to Queen Renera.
And this also seems like a bad idea, Ulf.
And if you actually are a bastard, son,
you shouldn't be in the tavern, one, proclaiming that you're a Targaryen,
or two, bad-mouthing the king was about to walk in the door.
I thought it was very haphazard.
I did not know that tavern was in King's Landing until Agam walked in.
I didn't either.
I was like, oh, we must be in some town outside of King's Landing
if you're just openly talking shit and claiming that you're a Targaryian bastard,
which, by the way, Targary and Bastards get a cool name.
They're called dragon seeds.
Everybody else gets some shit name.
Snow, sand.
Like, nobody cares about those people.
You guys can still potentially ride a dragon, so you're a dragon seed.
I don't know if that's better.
I think it's better.
What do you mean?
It's way better.
It implies dragon sperm.
You can still ride a dragon, though.
I get it.
I'm just saying.
Well, I think it's important here because, look, whether or not Ulf is telling the truth,
which I have no idea if he is.
His name's Ulf, but probably not.
He's got gray hair.
hair, not white hair, so maybe, who knows?
He's a half.
He's a half-y, who knows.
He's a half-blood.
But it introduces the idea of dragon seeds, which we haven't really met, and there's
got to be more of those out there because it's not like the Targaryens.
Yes, they are mostly just having sex with each other, but they do sometimes spill out
and go do what they're going to be doing.
Adam and Allen.
Adam and Allen, probably, I think they're Valerian bastards.
So what are Valerians?
I mean, they're also dragon seeds, yeah.
Boom.
Snake, snake seeds?
because that sounds way worse.
That sounds way.
I don't know why.
I don't know.
That's deathly sperm.
Yeah,
we just made it way worse.
But I think it's more about that
where even if Ulf is just completely lying
and boasting about this stupidly,
and then I like the idea
that there's people in Kings Landing calling for Vrunaura.
That's great.
I think that was why that was there.
That scene was there.
I think it's there because it's to say
there are Targaryan bastards out there that can ride.
Right.
And there's more dragons than there are riders right now.
And the kingdom is,
not 100% Agon.
I think you put that all together.
That's a very pivotal scene that might seem like a whatever scene.
Then Agon comes strolling in with his idiot friends.
You can tell they're about to go get that dude to the brothel to handle his business.
And we get to the brothel.
And this has got to be the first BJ on TV.
Yeah.
100%.
So that was a shocking moment.
This was also surprisingly the first Wieners that we've seen.
Yep.
Game of Thrones?
I think right out of the game.
Started off.
First episode, I think there was Wieners.
Yeah.
This is the first wiener.
we've gotten this season.
That was surprising.
Then we got some more later because Amon walks out.
Full trial.
Yep.
Yep.
So first winners of the season, if you had the wiener pool, episode three, you win.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
Your reward is a dragon seed.
Anyway, Agon walks into the room that Amon is laying with the madam of the house.
And that's his motherly figure that we've seen.
and he catches him in a very vulnerable moment.
This comes back to what I was saying earlier.
You see people's comfort vanishing.
He has now infiltrated what Amon finds comfort in.
He finds comfort in this woman in this place to the point where he didn't even want to have sex there previously
because this is a sacred space to him for some reason.
I don't know why.
But that's another invasion of that comfort.
You see Amon get up, walk out, doesn't make a big deal out of it.
Says, a whore is a whore.
Do your thing.
Don't care.
But for me, that is also once again, he's.
now relinquishing he's like all right here we go like he walks out of that place i don't think he's
going back i think he's in war mode now yep we're going to see this again later so that's why
not only that but i think he also goes right back to his childhood where yeah for whatever reason
luke gets blamed for doing all of the the misdeeds towards amend and bullying the hell out of him it's
really agon he's the he's the pauling was the ringleader the entire time and he did it again
in front of all his friends in his comfort zone so i could see amen starting to slowly turn and
start to question agon's command start to do things
maybe a little differently.
And when Agon says, you're a loyal dog, you're going to do whatever I want.
Maybe Aiman's not going to do that anymore.
Does that mean he pops off and goes off the leash, takes Vagar for a little spin?
I don't know.
Does he flip?
Does he see an opportunity later to just straight up kill Agon at some point in time?
That would be a great death.
Well, that's why I said.
I think that he's more capable of just the raging psycho brother.
I don't think that's him.
Yeah.
I think that you're getting more.
more depth to Amund than we had previously gotten,
especially last year when he killed Luke.
I think that you're starting to see a deeper side to him
that you're still under the impression.
He doesn't want to be king.
And I think that you're probably right.
I wouldn't be shocked if that starts to turn
just because he's going to watch his brother mishandle the entire thing.
I still think he just wants to crime of passion just kill Agon at some point.
I think he's going to have multiple opportunities to do it.
I think we're going to see it come close a few times,
whether he does go through with it or not.
I don't know, but I do think that there's a deeper character here than I had previously thought.
He's not just a dog off a leash.
I think that there's depth.
And I think, again, if you're going to ask me who's a better king, who's more capable,
Amon is way better than Agon.
Because Agon's just impulse and, like, fucking, it feels good, let's do it.
Like, that's a terrible way to rule.
Amon is actually pragmatic.
He does have feelings.
I think that all of this is coming from him hanging out in the brothel these last two episodes.
It's like, okay, he does feel.
things that's more than I thought he did so I don't know but I think this is an important scene again
he leaves his comfort zone he's out ready to fucking go renara is sitting there toying with the
note that she got from alison from the raven and finally opens it so we see her finally read it
that's important to note for later but we get to Kristen cole and sir gwayne guane's gallivanting off
with his boys to go to a tavern or an inn down the road he knows the owner is his nephew or
something like somebody everyone's fucking related in west row
for sure they're all related so he's going to the inn christin cole tries to stop him says
well whoa we can't be moving around like this and actually gets vindicated because and i just wrote
fuck yes because christin cole looks up and goes we're exposed yep and you just see way off love when
you see the sun disappear yeah dude uh it's a big dragon oh there's a dragon there and bail is coming in
hot and she catches up to him and dude and this is the whole episode this scene right here
is the entire episode.
What it is is the fucking, oh my God,
we're right there without the payoff.
It's trying to...
It was a lot better than I am.
I would edge your car is the shit out of that forest.
I would have burned the whole fucking thing down.
Who cares about the forest?
Now, it is important to note
that Reneira did say, hang up in the sky.
Don't do anything impulsive.
So she didn't get that crazy.
But she had an opportunity to get them.
It was pretty...
It was just such a...
Like, she's fucking honing in on them
and they're getting closer and closer
and she pulls up at the last second.
That's what the same.
episode is it's the fucking buildup and my god i wanted her to just torch them all yeah and that would
have also been a game of thrones move if she just fucking if christin cole poop gone on that and quaint
that would have been awesome but i understand why they didn't especially because it shows that
while on one side alison and agon they are unhinged to where if that moment happened on the
flip side they would have burned yeah instead ronera while they are still
testing the boundaries, they still follow
orders. Well, it depends on the dragon. If it was Vagar,
Vagar would have done whatever the hell
she wanted. Yeah, Vagar is on
She doesn't hear that well. Yeah.
Well, she's massive. How could you hear anything?
She's massive, and she's very old.
Yeah, she's old. Very old. She's tired.
You know, she's probably just ornery. Like, you just,
you bugger, she's like, fuck.
That was my dragon chump. That was good.
That wasn't as good. That was good, though.
Yeah, thanks, dude.
Hey, Michael. Hey, Tom.

your podcasts.
Okay.
Back to Ranera and the council and baila and we get the reports about Kristen Cole
gallivanting about with Gwain and the Raven confirms that there's larger forces
being piled together by Kristen Cole.
That's what his whole mission is.
As you said, Team Green is going to garner support as they move through to get to
Heron Hall.
So they arrive at Heron Hall with an army.
Once again, I think it's a bad idea because dragons see you later.
But we'll see how that goes.
and the council is saying it's time to act like this is it they're moving it's time for us to move
or nara hears it and she says i heard the arguments will consider
renees i think understands what she's saying because you get that old i don't know if it was
a smirk it was understanding but it wasn't condemning because renees was almost like hmm
like you're doing it right and what she's doing is trying to figure out how to talk to alison
as we find out later but before we get to that well really quick during
that scene. I love when
Bela tells everybody. Oh, yeah,
it was Kristen Cole going down there, and I
chased after him a little bit. I scared
the shit out of him, yeah. He's probably
pissing himself in that forest. I think that
Reneer looked over and goes, oh, shit.
I forgot there's another Damon here. That's
Damon's daughter. So yeah, she's
going to have some, some Damon in her.
Oh, yeah. And Damon would do that. Damien may have
Gercaris the shit out of the forest. He would
probably would have gotten off of
his dragon and chased after them and tried to kill them by
himself. And he probably would have.
Yeah. Yeah.
Because he's the shit.
I love Damon.
Yeah, David's the best.
He's awesome.
But now moving on, we get back to Heron Hall, and Damon, this is important, because
this also introduces, like, the supernatural aspect of Heron Hall and just of the realm
in general, and he's got two swords in the door, and they're trying to, something's trying
to kick the door down.
It doesn't work.
He opened the door.
There's nobody there.
We hear, like, a humming lady, and he walks in the room, and it's young Renera, holding
dead Jeharis, sewing his head back on.
And I thought that this was a very important scene.
I don't know if it's humanizing him a little bit to where he has this, it's kind of weird
in a way because it's almost the still, I don't say fatherly figure to Renera, but he was
always that role model to her in some way that she looked up to him.
I think that's seeing which shout out first, Millie Alcock came back.
We love to see that.
The actress who plays younger now.
Yeah, yeah, she was great.
She's fantastic.
There was rumors that she was going to be back at some point in time.
So she came back for just this little scene, maybe a little bit later.
Who knows?
And you can try to figure out whether it's Damon having, I guess, regrets for the things that he's done and the way that he's treated Renera.
By seeing a young Renera, that's when he first fell for her.
That's when he was first obsessed with her.
So that might be part of it.
And cleaning up after the things that he does is the main thing here.
Now, was he having these visions on his own?
Was it Harron Hall?
or was it the character that we were introduced to?
A cloak lady.
Cloak lady, also known as, I'd say they're Alice or Elise Rivers, is her name.
And she is rumored to be in the books.
She's rumored to be a witch.
So she could have some supernatural in her.
And then we can get into the motives of that.
So he ends up walking out and he's in like the weirwood,
looking at where the old gods are usually praised.
And that's where he ended up and she says,
You're going to die here.
You're going to die here.
Hey, man.
You're going to die in this place.
You're going to die her.
Was she doing that because Damon is actually going to die here?
Or was she trying to show him, hey, stop dicking around, figure it out.
Is she already on Renair's side?
Is there some, like we can call back to Game of Thrones where the Red Woman is following around Stana saying,
you're the prince that was promised, you're the prince or whatever?
Is there some God calling to her saying you need to control Damon and get him back in order?
Let me show him some of these visions to try to scare him a little bit, try to make him feel a little bit more human,
make him go back to Reneira, be a better husband, whatever.
Is there some of that involved here?
I think that you could argue that there is.
I think that if you look at it that way, then, yeah, this is a wake-up call for Damon to be like,
you pair that with the scene with young Reneira where it's like, here's all your regrets,
here's the things that you fucked up.
You fucked her up when she was younger.
You killed you Harris when she told you not to, all of these different things.
Here's your chance to make amends, get your shit together, or you will die here.
You could look at it that way.
I think you could look at it very literally like, hey, make your mark, get shit figured out.
This is going to be the end of you.
Is it going to be the end of your house?
Are you going to be able to step up and put things in order so that when shit goes down and you die, you still win?
You could look at it that way.
If you want to get super deep, you could say, is that version of Damon going to die here?
Are we going to see from this scene as a new Damon going to arise from it, a damon that actually gives a shit that does the right thing?
Could be.
There's a lot of ways to look at it.
I think I'm going, what I took from is the literal approach.
He's not going to survive Harren Hall.
The other thing that I thought is, are you going to die here, or you're going to die here now?
Or are you in 50 years going to die here?
Are you going, like, maybe that's the, the, you win the war and you end up being.
The Lord of Heron Hall or some shit, or you guys moved to Heron Hall and you're here and you just, maybe that's the split.
Maybe it was a fork in the road.
You're going to die either soon.
Yeah.
If you lose or if you win, you're going to die here anyway.
It's a possibility.
I don't know.
Deep.
Deep.
Anyway, we get Masaria and Renera, and they are talking about Allison.
How does she move?
How can I get to her?
I need a face-to-face.
If I send a raven, it's not going to work.
I need to sit down with her.
It's very important to me.
And she gives her the info, says, look, Damon got in with a boat.
Let's take a boat.
Nobody knows what you actually look like.
You just fucking wear an outfit, you're going to be fine.
They're not going to point out and be like, that nuns ranera.
Because guess what?
There was no pictures.
Yeah.
I always think about that when people are sneaking around.
I'm like, how's he going to get it?
I was sure that she was going to walk into somebody that she knew before she got to the sept.
But that wouldn't be that fun.
That's like an obvious one.
Yeah.
Where it's like, oh, no.
I'm actually glad they didn't play it that way and just like, oh, yeah, she got through.
Yeah.
Because I think about that a lot with this show, honestly.
And like, anytime I'm watching a medieval show and people are sneaking around, I'm like, oh, God,
they're going to get caught.
I'm like, oh, that, how would you know what they're going to look like?
I'm actually your half-uncle.
Yo, what's up?
What's up?
Oh, God, Ulf.
You know me.
My dad told me to look out for you.
Reneira gets to Kings Landing, and they're headed back to the church.
Once again, this place of, I don't know if it's comfort, but a safe space for her and Allison.
To come together, we saw it happen in the first season when Reneer lost her mother,
and Allison took her there to help her grieve.
through it says light a candle for your mom we saw it when alison was there and on the other side
in dragonstone ranera was having the funeral for luke and you had that moment of fire between the two
of them that was also that there's something i don't know if it's sacred about this place for them but
safe about this place to the point where she can even walk in sit down next to alison and alison
will stay there and at least hit her out which is important so as they're sitting there trying to
figure out is there a way forward is there peace to be had riner is trying to push forward alison's
Like, now, she's not closed off to the idea yet, but she's not really hearing it either.
She's on the guise of, look, it's almost too late.
It's almost too late.
By the end of this conversation, it is too late.
But the most important thing here, one, you see where both sides are the same in a lot of ways
because Allison blames her for Jaheras.
Rennara blames her for Luke.
And both of them deny having a hand in it.
Both of them are telling the truth.
But that's the whole point is that goes all the way back to the beginning of the
episode with Rayneese, it doesn't fucking matter.
Because you've got all these dudes with too much testosterone, too much ego, trying to prove
that, no, it's time for bloodshed.
I'm going to kill everybody and show everybody that I'm the fucking man because you got
a pissed off teenager at the helm who wants to prove that he's not a bitch because he's a huge
bitch.
And on the other side, you got Damon who's ready to go to war because that's who Damon is.
Yeah.
Well, yeah, I mean, the two of them sitting together now, as we already know, it's too little
too late. But this is where it starts. This is where it's probably going to end is between the two
of them. Without the two of them, we don't have the dance of the dragons. We don't have anything
that comes from it. We don't have all the killing. We don't have the realm being torn into.
So the two of them being able to sit down together, obviously, Reneer does pull out a dagger and
says, I will kill you. And I will obviously die.
That's safety, though. That's not a... It's definitely safety, yeah. But Allison still heard her out.
And even though she's denying everything and Reneer is coming up with all the different things
that have happened and they're essentially just
hashing out the things that they haven't been able to talk about.
Like, hey, Luke died.
Judy, your dumbass son.
Okay, Jiharis is dead because
of Damon. So what are we supposed
to do here? We're both doing things on each
other's sides, but we're still both steadfast
in Reneera thinking, Viseras wanted
her to be queen, and Allison
saying, I talked to him, his last
words were about Agon. And you have
that sudden realization from Reneer
Oh, shit. Did
I have this all wrong? Yeah.
did my father who was on my side the entire time talking about me being queen did he actually
change his mind because I'm telling you over and over and over again that he didn't and you're
telling me that in that last moment he did say something about agon yep shit and she starts crying
because she's now has to face it like yeah she's put it she has not once believed that it happened
now it's right in her face and she's like look you can call me a lot of things uh I'm not a liar yeah
And she goes, oh, fuck.
Well, what did he say?
She finally hears her out, like, what's your side of the story?
And she goes into the whole story.
Allison, talked a little too much.
You can't share that much information.
He said, Agon's name, the prince that was promised.
And Lightbulb, Renaro's like, oh, my God.
He told you about the Song of Ice and Fire.
That is a prophecy about Agon the Conqueror, not your agon.
I love Allison's response to it.
The Conqueror?
If you had the subtitles on it, I saw that's what I did too, yeah.
C dot dot, dot, dot, conqueror.
Because her entire world just came crashing up down.
She just went, oh my God, all of this is my fault because I didn't know what was going on.
I listened to a dude that had holes in his entire body that was literally seconds away from death couldn't breathe.
And I took what he said in that moment and redid the entire kingdom under what I thought
was his idea
holy shit
I'm the cause
yeah the roller coaster
from this is incredible
with Reneira
maybe realizing
that Vesaris
changed his mind
her world comes
crashing down
asks for a little
more information
Allison
realizing that Reneera
was crashing at that point
now this is my
opportunity to finish it off
and we're going to see
what Reneira does
is Reneer just going
to rescind her claim
to the throne
say that you know
Vesaris wished
for this
we'll pull back
we'll have a way
to figure all of
out, Allison gets all high and mighty and starts sharing too much information, then says that,
and then her world comes crashing down. And Rainer is on the other side, like, yeah, you mess
this one. I fucked it up. But I do get it, at least. I understand where the misunderstanding
comes from. And what's Allison's supposed to do? It's a moment of, it's, like, her saying it's too late
was not her being like, no, it's too late. I don't think she was, like, standing her ground. I think
she was almost, like, defeated, like, what are we supposed to? Like, it's done. Like, the pieces have
been moved people are even if i say anything at this point agon's not listening to me he's gone
i don't have any control over what happens next auto's gone it is what it is now the world is going
to burn down because i misheard visceris and my bad but yeah i'm out see yeah deuses good luck
getting out of here i got to go cry so again not the most exciting episode
but a fantastic episode
and an extremely important episode
because this is it.
You also see, like, Renera in that scene
kind of wipe her tears,
kind of sit up right,
like she's ready now.
Like, she has exhausted every other option.
She did a very dumb thing
by going to King's Landing.
She now knows it's wartime, baby.
And now we're going to get
the serious episodes.
And, God, I can't wait.

Let's get to some questions.
Let's get to some questions.
First up from M. Norino is Amon's the Night King?
The camera angle of him leaving the brothel was giving foreshadow.
I love the way that people read into these shows.
No, he's not the night.
No, he's not.
Don't we know who that?
We already know who that was.
Uh-uh.
I never confirmed up.
Oh, I thought they did.
It could have been like a first one of the Starks or something.
They say that the children of the forest got one of the starks and stabbed him with the dragon glass, and that's what happened.
Because his eye is indicative of, like...
Could be.
I mean, it does kind of look, a little blue.
I don't know.
That's a deep cut.
I, God, I hope you're right.
That would be amazing.
That would be great.
If he flies...
Wait, wait, wait, he flies Vagar beyond the wall.
Begar doesn't like it because they don't like going beyond the wall.
Bucks him off.
Fucks him off.
Falls.
Could be.
I'm on board
Yeah but I think the Night King already exists
Shut up
In this world because Craig and Stark said that there's already
White Walkers so there's already a
Night King
Let's just shut up
Yeah
Did you stop it
A couple hundred years too late
But no I just love the way
The people read into these you know
From R. Herald 78
What if they didn't actually kill the air
Jeharris and the mom is lying
I think we're a couple episodes too
Yeah I've seen this pop up a few times
I think my biggest takeaway from that is what does it matter at this point?
You know, I guess you have an air in waiting,
but as far as the piece is being in place for war,
it's irrelevant now.
Yeah.
From Mary had a little,
why did we just meet Gwain?
I feel like they never mentioned him before.
We did meet Gwain, actually.
In the first season, he did fight in that tournament.
Oh, that's right.
He got his shit kicked by Damon.
Damon smoked them.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I forgot about that.
Damon actually, because I just watched it last week.
Damon stuck his lance in the ground and the horse fucked up the horse.
Yeah, don't fuck the horse.
That was my only issue.
And then he would ever and kicked him.
Yeah.
I don't have a lot of problems with Damon, even after he set blood and cheese on Jahris.
But don't fuck with the horse.
Yeah.
From Severandozo, how badly did you want to see Bailey get moon dancer to light up Kristen Cole on that?
That would have been great.
Like, I was, my heart was.
I think Bailey is going to play an important role moving forward.
She's great.
She's a hard ass.
I love it.
She's sick.
From Kristen Nicole, did you notice?
Ooh, Kristen Cole, boo.
That's great.
Did you notice the tapestry changes in the intro?
Changes from week to week?
It's every once in a while.
I noticed that they changed it from the gears from last season to the tapestry, but I didn't.
Maybe I need to watch the intro.
You got to watch the intro.
I skip the intro.
You skip it?
Yeah.
This is the only show that I don't skip the intro for.
I watch the recap every week.
I watched, like, the buildup, like, scenes from last week because that makes me focus on what to focus on this episode because they point out important things.
The tapestry, I have not.
I will.
I will from here on out.
All right.
From Nicky Mono 23, is Lainer coming back and is that why C-Smoke was restless?
That's actually...
That's interesting.
Is he on his way back?
And maybe, like, C-Smoke and feel...
I think C-Smoke, I keep seeing C-Snoke.
I know.
Seas-Moke would go to him.
That's what I think, too.
Back in his vicinity.
I think it's probably that Reneiro's feeling like lonely.
Renier's really sad, okay?
She's really sad, so C-smoke's had him good.
Oh, God.
Now we've got a little bit of Bravo mixed in here.
Steele, you're ready for it?
From Helen J. Harm, who would you rather have as Hand of the King, Kristen Cole, or Kristen Doty?
Doty would be a funny hand of the king.
Doty, look, Doty would probably be pretty good, honestly.
She would, she's conniving.
She would be able to move pieces.
Yeah, she'd be a better master of whispers.
But yeah, fuck yeah.
She's better than Kristen Cole.
Anybody is.
Yeah.
And I'll do two more here from Klaich Munn.
Opinion on what Allison said, meant when she said, you know what Amund is.
So that, to me, I meant to mention that earlier, to me what that is, is them underestimating what Amund is.
I think she and her mind has.
Eamon pegged, and I think that's been his story his entire life.
People think on this kid, I'm actually this.
And I think that that's what you get from the scenes of him in the brothel is that
woman actually understands that Eamon has layers to him, whereas Allison thinks he's just
a war crazy, like...
But Allison doesn't know how to connect to her children.
He doesn't know her kids, so I think that's what that was going to allude out to.
One more here.
From Darya underscore PNG, who do you think dies next episode?
Someone's got to go down.
Someone's got to go down.
Jehires wasn't important to know why he's the error,
but he wasn't important enough to die in the first episode.
Bold prediction?
Rainies.
Safe bet?
Someone big's going down.
They have to.
It's time.
It's time for someone big to go down.
Honestly, I can see Agon getting smoked.
That's a bold prediction, too, though.
Yeah.
Hmm.
I'm going to stick with Rainis.
That's mine.
I don't think.
I still think that Amon and Damon are going to battle.
And, again, I still think they're probably both going to die in that situation.
But I don't think they're going to do that that early.
I'm going to say, I think Rainey's going to die in the next episode or two.
That's not even a bold prediction.
That's just who I think is coming.
And bold prediction is that Raina gets killed on her.
her road to what?
Not bad.
Okay.
Bela.
I'm going Bela.
Because then Rana takes a bigger role.
Okay.
All right.
I like that.
And, yeah, and Baila's, you know, she's not afraid.
Not afraid.
To ride a dragon.
Yeah, there you go.
That's all I got.
