Bros & Shows - White? Pink? Further Questions, You Can Email Me (In The City Full Recap S1E7)
Episode Date: July 2, 2026What's up bros? We're making the most of this vacation but still gotta give you guys the hits and right now, this show is a hit. This may have been the best episode of this show thus far and it wasn't... entirely Amanda/Kyle centric. It seems we're really rounding out the rest of the cast and the show is becoming what we want it to; filling in the off-season of Summer House with our SH cast's actually everyday friends. There may be some over-producing *cough* Danielle *cough* but otherwise this is rounding into form in a very good way. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I think Yvonne deserves a lot of credit because she was a great sport.
Considering all of the shit that went down at her dinner and she still stayed relatively composed, a lot of props.
See, I think that she decided to do her wedding dinner on a reality TV show.
So she doesn't really get to tell everybody to stop talking about things.
If it was a different thing and then we heard from page six that all of this happened at her wedding, I'd feel bad.
it's real.
You gotta just go with the punches.
I didn't say I felt bad.
I said,
Proffs to her without losing your shit.
Yeah.
Okay, yeah, that's a good way to look at it.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos.
Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm Karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Brov Bros.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode.
to prop bros, your favorite podcast from the bros for everybody, for whoever wants to listen.
I'm your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by Rico's Suav Gutier.
Look at this guy.
I'm having a beer on the podcast.
What a time.
What a time we got here.
What a TV show.
What an episode.
This was honestly, I think this was their best episode all season.
I was visibly upset when Amanda showed up.
When Amanda, like, made a comment to Kyle, like, oh, God, you're still here?
Yeah.
Hey, I don't want to do this.
But we got into pretty much everything that we thought we would and then some.
And this dinner, this explosion of excitement, all of the things that happened.
This is why this cast is good.
And now I have to give them props for casting all these people because it was just, it was a fun dinner.
Yeah, it all started to click.
And you can see why certain people are on the show.
I do have a couple of question marks there.
I don't care for a explosion of excitement that rubs me the wrong way, just a little housekeeping
there.
But yeah, I think that it all kind of made sense after this episode.
I agree with you.
I think this was their biggest and best episode yet.
And I think it gives a direction to the show in a lot of ways.
And it also shows that we have a cast that's really starting to understand how this shit
goes and understand how.
this works you have two people that don't that are trying to shift and be like why are you talking about it
because you're on reality tv and that's what we do here but overall i agree like the the cast mesh as well
we're having the correct amount of drama the correct responses to drama everyone's getting
involved in the drama i really don't have a lot of notes like this was a very very solid episode
it was a really solid episode and i can't help but notice you did leave out one very important person
And that is Katie DeLuca.
Oh,
Katie DeLuca.
She jumped in.
She needs to shut up, actually.
I was watching it on the beach.
Is that her?
I didn't know if that was Katie DeLuca.
Okay, yeah.
Stop.
Why are you getting involved now?
I know.
She popped up and I had to pause it.
Like, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait.
Katie Luca?
Oh, okay.
Now this is all starting to make some sense.
I think the way that they've done this and I think the most important aspect of this show and
what we wanted this show to be,
but maybe we weren't able to put it into words when we got.
got it. When we decided, you and I mean, because, you know, this is our brainchild. Let's just start
taking credit. We said it the first season that we started covering Summerhouse that it might be
a more compelling show. Like, yes, keep Summerhouse where it is. But it might be more compelling
if you show the everybody's lives in the city. We got Carl in the city, by the way.
Literally in the city. Our bad. Yeah, we should, damn, maybe our trademarks don't work. Look, I get it.
You guys are going to say, well, we all thought the same thing. Not like we did, though. This is
our thing. Did you say it on your podcast?
Anyway, no, I do think that genuinely what we wanted was to fill in those cracks.
We wanted to see people who were friends with Kyle, with Lindsay, with Amanda to some extent.
We wanted to see all of those people be involved in their lives and actually get the opinions that come along with it.
And that's what we got.
I think this episode really encapsulated all of that.
Like we were actually able to have Kenny and Gavin give their input on Amanda and Kyle.
Like we've heard the input from Carl, from Sierra, from everybody else in the summer house universe, if you will.
Now we get their actual friends.
We get people who are close to them, who have been in the city with them, not just in the Hamptons for a couple of weeks, but in the actual city, in their lives day to day, day, talking to them and seeing in the stuff.
Yeah, yeah, get in there.
That's what we wanted.
And I don't think we were able to actually put that into words where we see this is their day to day life.
This is not just, oh, you guys are friends on reality TV.
And we talk about that a lot with housewives, whether or not really hanging out in the off season.
This is the off season.
This is essentially the off season, the summer house where we see all of these things happen,
where we haven't been able to see Kyle and Amanda together.
So I think starting off with that was great.
But there's also so many different layers that go into it.
And now I'm invested in everybody else's lives as well.
So you see it all kind of come together in this episode.
And that's why I think it was so great.
I agree.
And I think it does articulate sort of what we were wanting and what we've been kind of hoping for
because I will say like Summerhouse is one of the most active off-season shows.
We would get a lot of news from blogs or Instagram or whatever in the interim of
summer else, but we didn't get to see that stuff.
Now we have the chance to see that.
So yeah, I think we're on the right track.
I'm pretty stoked about the direction that it's going.
So props to everybody and most people involved, like 99.9% of people involved.
Who?
Where are you leaving off the table there?
it's kind of interchangeable honestly okay uh like Amanda just because I'm annoyed with her at this juncture
um I thought that Danielle and Owen it was kind of a good bad episode for them because they were
involved in the drama and it's centered around them I love the delusion of squashing things at dinner
and then Danielle throwing her hat back in the ring even though she knows everyone there is
irritated with her but she still takes upon herself to bring it up again
I like that, but it also annoys me.
So I'm like, eh, I don't really know where you land.
And also, the whole point of this shit is to share things.
And that's what everyone's doing.
They're digging because you're on the show and you're not being open.
That's what's going on.
That's very normal in reality TV, especially on Bravo.
So to be up in arms like, it's done your business.
It's like, well, he's on the show.
He signed the contract.
Unfortunately, it's everybody's business.
You know that.
Yeah.
That's how this is gone.
I think that's what got me too.
I think that that made zero sense
when we're actually breaking the fourth wall
and talking about the show
and digging into people's lives.
Danielle,
you are one of the most overproduced people
that has ever been on reality TV.
You always try to have a moment.
You always try to do things.
You always try to be so hyper aware
of what's going on around you for the show.
Now you have questions.
That doesn't make any sense.
You can't do that.
You can't have it both ways.
So I think that was her shortcoming.
And I love finally,
I was getting a little carried away,
but the crash back to Earth for Danielle
because she was having way too many good episodes.
I was agreeing with her way too much,
mostly because she was going against Amanda,
but I was agreeing with her way too much.
And finally we get back and say,
oh yeah,
that's what you bring to the show.
That or lack thereof,
I guess you could say.
And Owen had me.
I was good with Owen.
I was okay with it.
He's getting his feet wet until he turned
and he said that bitch down there said too much
when he's talking about Lindsay.
Nope, back out on Owen.
It doesn't take much for me, honestly.
but back out on Owen.
I think the rest of the cast really held their own.
I think even Gavin, you see what he can't bring goes overboard,
but you see exactly why he's there.
And that is enough for me.
I thought this was another great episode from Kenny.
I think he's tried to finally settle in.
He's hit his stride, yeah.
He really has hit his stride.
And if he can do that where he can balance having those emotionally there scenes
with sitting down with Lindsay talking about his dad,
talking to the other guys, not getting too mixed up,
not doing too much Gavinisms.
like Gavin is going to have his own place there.
Kenny doesn't really need to dip into that.
But you kind of see what you have here.
And I think that there's a lot here moving forward.
I agree.
And Gavin is a necessary evil.
Is it too much sometimes?
Yeah, totally.
But you got to take the go with the bad.
And he's going to deliver a lot of tumultuous scenes because he's so fucking weird.
There's no other way to put it, really.
But yeah, you can kind of see where everyone's falling in.
And, you know, my favorite thing, just,
to backpedal, then we'll jump into the episode as a whole.
I love when we take credit for things because obviously we do it with a great of salt,
but people in the comments actually get so mad, they're like,
you guys really think that you thought of this first?
I mean, yeah, we did, but that's neither here nor there.
It's always very funny to me, but we can always say we thought of it first.
I mean, there's no wrong to that, right?
You can't prove us wrong.
You can't prove it.
Nope.
Try.
Prove it.
Get a bedazzled binder.
We'll meet you at the reunion.
Yeah, or a suitcase, as we saw it.
Or a suitcase.
Yeah,
that was a bedazzled boom box suitcase,
which was,
yeah,
honestly.
Pretty sweet.
Should have got more air time.
I agree.
But let's jump in to this episode.
We start out with Lindsay and Gavin and Kyle and Kenny.
And we're talking about boys night and girls night.
And it's pretty much Owen centric and Owen and Danielle.
And,
you know,
there is a part here where it's like,
I can understand in the moment with the boys where they're asking the
questions to Owen. They're kind of just out of left field and they're pretty invasive. There
wasn't like a build up to like, hey, man. So like, where are you from? Like, where'd you grow up?
What are you up to now? All right. How's the divorce going? Like there wasn't like a lead in.
It was just when are you getting divorced? Are you divorced? How long were you married? Like it was very
intrusive. So I get that in that moment. He's a little bit defensive not trying to answer everything.
But from Kyle's standpoint, it's like we're really just asking the basics. Like we're trying to get to know this
guy like he's on TV.
So maybe he should respond to these things.
The funny thing is I don't think Owen's hiding shit genuinely, but he's making it seem
like he's hiding shit by being weird and just kind of dismissing every single question
coming out of him.
Yeah.
I think what we had to deal with and what we had to kind of go with last week was exactly
that.
And when you rewatch it, it was a, it was a grilling.
And they didn't really ask him any questions.
They just kind of started making assumptions.
I think it would have been funnier if he was getting those initial questions and then we got to that point.
And instead of letting him answer, it was just Kenny and Gavin going back and forth disputing about like how you get divorced and how that works because I always love it.
When two people that don't really know how it works, try to figure it out.
That's essentially our podcast, by the way.
That is especially.
That's pretty much our podcast in a nutshell.
So that was for self-aware.
Yeah, exactly.
But I think when you look back at that, like you said, they didn't do any of like the exploratory questions.
just about his life and what he's been up to or anything like that or and i'm okay with this too
they're not asking any questions about him and daniel it's really just the timeline they're not asking
like oh yeah what do you guys what do you guys you guys what's your date night look like what do you guys
live together how's that going we're not talking about any of that i'm okay with that but it is
funny when they just jump to the divorce because you know what they're doing it's very black and white
let's get right into the timeline let's see if there's any overlap and that's kind of funny but when we looked at
it last week with Owen, we gave
him the benefit of the doubt because we did see
Gavin in the way that he was acting.
But if you just look at Owen's standpoint, he
really isn't answering any questions. So that's
okay. But when we get to the dinner
later and it can be very easy
to get to the truth, why not
do that? Why not make that your plan?
He does have that standoffish behavior
of, I don't know you guys. I don't
owe you anything. It's like, no, you're not
understanding what's behind them. There is a
layer behind that. And that's the TV show
that you're on. So you do need to start
doing that, getting ahead of it, saying things like, well, we got, you know, we got married in
2021.
We didn't have a full wedding.
We ended up getting our certificate in 2023.
That's what that was about.
And again, we're not doing that right now when we're sitting with Lindsay.
When Lindsay looks it up, she finds the, I guess his ex-wife's hairstylist who said in June of
23, I'm going to Marbea to go do her hair.
Not Marbella.
Marbea.
I like that we had to make that distinction, Kenny.
Thank you.
But I love that we do this.
And it's like, okay, it's funny when we get later.
and you see Nick and Yvonne who did say and explained how all of it worked,
it could be the same thing, but there's no benefit of the doubt because at the end of the
day, we are looking for that overlap.
And until we know otherwise, that's really all we care about.
Yeah.
And my big thing with Owen is the condescending tone to everybody at all times.
It's like, dude, yeah, I know you think you're better than this show and you think these
are just like stupid reality TV stars and like, oh, I don't have time for you.
dude just fucking you're on the show with them and it's giving the i'm better than this vibe which
daniel has done in the past as well so it's not like a great thing that you both are like nose up
just fucking like give in a little bit like trust the process like show up and do the show
stop acting like you're an outlier like i'm not going to go full throttle on to this because reality
tv's stupid that's what he's given me that pisses me off because this is real shit yeah yeah yeah
No, this is our livelihood.
Come on down, to give it some respect.
But on the flip side of that, when we go to the other side of this scene and we're talking with Danielle and Owen,
the beginning of this conversation is unbelievably that shit crazy.
How's work going?
You have a lot of meetings.
You're busy.
That's great.
Yeah, it can be a little crazy sometimes.
Well, you know, it's also a little, what did Danielle say?
I know you probably wrote it down.
The lead in was insanity to me.
And this was immediately, oh, yeah.
This is why I don't like Danielle.
Overproduced.
This is not how you talk to somebody.
And if it is how you talk to somebody that you're in a relationship with,
there's other problems there that I'm not going to delve into.
But just for the show, that was an unbelievably stupid segue.
It was along the lines of, yeah, I know that's tough.
You know what else is tough?
Yeah.
Wanting to have babies with you while you're still married.
It's like, okay.
Unbelievable statement.
I want to plan for our future.
It's like you fucking can, guys.
Like you're allowed to plan.
And like, let's wait for the divorce to be finalized.
Or don't.
I don't understand why you can't get pregnant.
If it's really on the up and up, right?
Like if there's no shady business going on, right?
Why are we waiting for the divorce to be final?
Like that's a personal decision.
And I respect that.
If they're like, look, this is how we want to do it.
Okay, fine.
But clarify why.
Because to me, it's like, all right, if there's at least a timeline here where you know he's
going to be divorced or you know for a fact that he filed and you're just waiting for
like the details to be hammered out.
I don't get why.
And maybe I'm on the minority here.
Maybe other people like understand it more.
To me,
I'm like,
just fucking do it.
Or,
you know,
plan.
You guys can totally plan.
I feel like this divorce has been elevated to like this huge roadblock.
It's like I,
I guess I don't get what the holdup is with a lot of things other than if you
guys want to get married.
Obviously,
he has to be divorced legally.
So you can legally be married.
But other than that,
if he's completely out on his wife and vice versa,
what's the snag?
Like what's really holding back?
I don't get it personally.
I think the other piece of this,
which I think is incredibly funny,
they ended up getting,
Daniel's pregnant within a month of this seat.
Like easily.
Yeah.
Like I know like she did have her baby like a little before probably the due date.
So it's maybe not like the full timeline.
But we know the timeline because we're planning a friends giving trip.
So we do know.
this is around November-ish.
She just gave birth like two weeks ago.
You're pregnant within a month of this conversation.
So again, and I hate, actually, no, I don't hate saying this because now we say it every episode,
don't spit in my mouth and tell me it's ready.
Yeah.
Like, we're going to have this whole discussion, and you guys are so disappointed with not
being able to move forward and plan for your future.
You're pregnant within a month.
So you start trying.
And when we're talking about it later at the dinner and everybody's talking about like,
oh, yeah, your ovulation schedule.
There's a lot going on.
Danielle's probably doing the same thing.
And that's what pisses me off so much about Danielle is she tries to produce things.
But then on the flip side or rather behind the camera, you're already planning these things.
So just be real for the love of God for once in your life.
Exactly.
And meanwhile, back at the Lindsay crew, we're Googling his wedding date.
And this is what's going to happen if you leave things open ended.
And like, it's not that surprising.
And again, we get into one of these moments that we've seen a lot over the past year or two.
It's like, you're Googling me?
It's like, shut up.
You all Google each other all the time.
We know you do that.
Normal people that aren't on reality TV do that.
You Google things when you don't have answers because everything is readily available online.
That's what they did.
You're not answering the questions.
We're going to find out somehow.
Lindsay was just the vessel, by the way.
Yeah.
The dudes are the boys, the boys with a zee.
We're all talking about it, right?
But she's the one that's like, fuck this.
I operate from facts.
Let me just look this shit up.
Okay, boom.
Here we go.
It says here, he,
two years ago, but he said they were married for four years.
Like, oh, that's weird.
And that again, because you left it open ended, refused to answer the question.
Now people are going, well, why is it two versus four?
Why is there a discrepancy?
Is he hiding something?
And again, something that could have been handled so easily if you weren't acting so
pretentious towards your castmates would have been squashed.
No one's Googling shit if you just clarify, but you didn't clarify.
So now we're looking up the bridesmaid or the hairstylist or whatever to figure out
the timeline here, which is going to lead to more questions and more scrutiny of an issue.
Again, I don't think there's any, like, hidden message or hidden agenda or something crazy
is going to come out where it's like, oh, my God.
I do potentially think there was overlap, but given that Daniel's pregnant, like,
what are we going to like?
Whatever.
Yeah, like, who knows now?
So, like, it could have been handled so easily by just saying what's up, but you didn't.
And then you're going to get mad at like reality TV 101.
They looked it up.
Of course they did.
And here we go.
They looked it up and they talked about it in a group and other people have additional questions.
That's by the way, not even like objectively speaking, not even reality TV.
If anybody new comes into the group and this is going to happen, like yes, it does get exacerbated on TV.
It gets exacerbated when you're on camera and you know how these things work and you start doing the storyline stuff.
That makes sense to me.
But in a real life setting, if a new person comes to the group and it's a girl or a guy, whatever it is that was married or isn't married anymore and there's question marks and they're refusing to answer questions, other people talk. Other people have speculation. And there's going to be one or two people in every group of friends that's going to go overboard with it. And they're going to start looking things up. And it's just because you want to just fulfill that satisfaction of here's what I got. Here's the proof. Here's the facts. Tell me that I'm wrong. And it can be squashed so easily. But like you said, they both have.
have this like pretent whether i don't think daniel's being pretentious oh it's oh it is daniel is
is actively hiding things she's actively lying by omission because she doesn't want to go that way
we just had an entire discussion about this on the the lover boy trolley car again you would think
you want to get ahead of things like all right they're going to come with more questions how do we
try to deflect how do we try to move forward without them doing this and making us look worse oh here
we go we be honest it's so funny to me because all roads lead to just be
truthful and we won't have any more questions.
And if they want to judge, they can judge.
But you're going to be feeling a lot better if they don't have those gotcha moments.
And honestly, I don't even think we've gotten to a gotcha moment.
Yeah.
No, and that's the crazy thing.
It's like, this isn't that big a deal.
No, I don't think people care that much.
You just didn't give an answer.
So now they're invested in it.
But Lindsay is also talking about the stuff with her mom because Kenny talks about
finding his dad because he's like, well, I got a PI.
We can let him dig into Owen and Danielle.
I was like, that's actually kind of funny.
Get the, get the Dietler on it, Bo Dietl 2.0.
But they're talking about, you know, moms and dads and the fact that Kenny had his dad come out.
Gavin is very upset that he wasn't.
You didn't tell me that.
He's like, you're fucking weird.
Why would I?
Yeah, like, you're a weird guy.
But Lindsay is talking about her mom.
So now we have some common ground between Kenny and Lindsay.
I truly believe the success of this show,
hinges on these two in their friendship.
I think that this could be one of the best duos for back and forth,
for analyzing things,
for being like the go-to too.
Lindsay and Kenny literally, I think,
are the glue that's going to hold this show together.
Watching them operate in this,
watching them operate later.
I'm like, you guys might have something here
because you're both quick, right?
You both don't take shit.
you're both kind of asshole sometimes
but we I'm starting
to like Kenny a little bit and I've always
liked Lindsay so I think there's a great duo
between these two yeah you've always
like Lindsay unless it was against Carl but
yeah unless you go against Carl then I'm like nah
don't fuck with my boy dude no it is
funny when you have like that general outlook of what
the show could look like in a couple of years I agree
I think the two of them could be the backbone
and it kind of splits from there and you would imagine
Kyle would be involved I'm going
to give Kyle a full season next
season because he's going to be a nightmare
the way that he's operating and going to pretty much every DJ set and hooking up with a new girl,
I don't know what that's going to look like.
It's going to be kind of funny to watch.
But for Kyle in particular, he'll come back into the role.
I think he's just going to take a bit of a leave of absence, if you will,
where it's just going to be nonsense from Kyle for the next year.
If Amanda is still on the show, who the hell knows,
I will never say that she's the backbone of the show.
But seeing this and the next scene with Kenny and Lindsay completely feel like it's in good hands.
Yep, same.
And I also kind of don't want Kyle to be the backbone of this one.
I want to see him in more of a supporting role because I think that's more fun.
Like he has pressure off of him too.
Yeah, like just go do like single Kyle shit while everything else is going on.
Like we want to watch that.
Good bad or indifferent.
Like we want to see this potential war path you're going to be on while you're single and going to DJS and doing all of that.
So let's someone else take the reins of this.
one. You still got Summerhouse, but I don't think that we need two Kyle-backed shows. You know what I'm
saying? No, no, at least until he's ready to leave Summer House. Yeah, yes, but Nick and Yvonne
are doing a little wedding planning. They're going to have like an intimate dinner party.
Don't want anything too crazy because they're going to the courthouse. They're going to get the
legal shit taken care of and then we're going to go. Lindsay's the witness. Everyone's going to come
for this beautiful five-course dinner, which did look fucking fantastic, despite all
of the nonsense going on.
It looked great, but I wanted to know, I wanted to ask you.
And there's no sense in waiting.
What do you think when a chef comes in and he starts going on a spiel about this is a
five cents type of dinner where everything's going to be?
It's a little snooty and I don't care for it.
So, yeah, I understand where you're coming from.
I do also understand the immersiveness of some culinary experiences.
I think there's a way to present it in which you don't sound all hoity toady.
Right.
But I do understand like that's going to rub some people the wrong way because you're like,
we've said pretentious a lot this episode, but it does give that vibe.
At the same time, if you can relay it without sounding like a douchebag,
I do think it's fascinating to dive further into the senses when it comes to food,
but I'm also a chef.
So it's probably different for me than another.
people. Like there's a new thing out called the taste or the, what is it, the taste of music?
And it's these scientists that are working with food and sound. And apparently if you're
listening to certain things while eating certain things, it can change the flavor profile or
something like that. And it's like science fact. I haven't watched it yet. I'm actually pretty
excited to see it. All of that being said, if it's executed properly, I don't have an issue with it.
if it's lighting a pine cone on fire.
Yeah.
That's where I'm like, okay, why are we lighting the pine cone?
What does this give us?
Does this improve the flavor of the tea?
I thought it was a margarita.
He said margarita.
Okay, was it that?
I was cool with the pine cone.
If you're smelling it.
Yeah.
Right, but like that's my point.
If you're smelling the pine cone whilst drinking something,
that will alter the flavor profile.
And it does involve more senses.
So I get that.
So all of this to say, I don't have an issue with it.
I think there's a way to do these kinds of things without sounding like an asshole.
I didn't think he was that bad.
I thought it was just like, you know, if it's a really nice restaurant, this is the kind of shit you're going to get.
So yeah, I don't have a problem.
But I get, I do understand where you're coming from.
Okay.
All right.
Cool.
Yeah.
Because even while you were explaining it, there was a point where I, I kind of didn't agree.
But I'm not going to, I'm not going to shit all over it, you know?
I just, I have that moment where somebody walks in and says something like that.
And it's my immediate thought is, oh, brother, this guy stinks from SpongeBob.
And, yeah, that's, that's just where I am.
But I also think the scientists and, you know, I'm happy that you're excited to watch that.
The scientists that are doing, you know, music and food, scientists should just be, they're curing cancer.
This is, that seems like a stupid side quest.
But that's, I don't know, we could get into the all of that stuff.
Yeah, yeah.
I look.
Well, cancer is already.
probably curable it's just you know the money they don't want to give out the formula because that
all of these companies would go broke but that's a bad taste if i do another sponge bob reference
for the formula yeah probably not with cancer yeah no no i know you're leaning though yep there's a plankton
joke more or less yep yep yep that's what i figured but ravioli ravioli give me the formula only uh
Where we're waiting planning.
We're back to that.
I had like more like so much more to say about the dinner thing too.
I just obviously this isn't a culinary podcast.
No, no.
Yeah, I think we'll leave it at what we already talked about.
Yeah, I think we've done enough.
It's been 10 minutes.
We've been talking about smelling and all of that stuff.
But you do.
You eat with your eyes.
I say that all the time.
And your nose is a big, big indicator of flavors.
So like cover your nose.
Why eat something?
You can't taste it as well.
What do you say to the people that say,
the camera eats first.
Well,
are you referencing,
like taking a picture of your food or?
Yep.
As somebody that takes pictures of my food because I run a culinary social media account.
That's not you.
That's not talking about you.
Okay.
Uh,
I don't know.
That's tough.
Yeah.
I like that food is celebrated,
but I also understand,
like,
if,
you know,
five in place,
maybe.
I don't know.
Because who am I to tell anybody what to post?
You know,
that's where I have a conference.
Because I truly believe, like, if you want to go and try content, whatever it is, like,
fucking go do it.
Who gives a shit?
I don't care.
I think this is, you're taking it deeper than it was.
I just mean the people who actually verbally say while eating, the camera eats first.
Oh, if you say that, then you're an idiot.
I didn't know that was a thing.
Yeah.
All right, cool.
Yeah.
I wasn't aware of that was happening.
So yes, if you say that happens, I've heard a few times.
Just take a picture.
I don't care if take a picture, but you don't have to talk about taking a picture.
I'm embarrassed.
I literally have a large following for a food account.
And when I'm in public taking a picture of my plate, I'm like, I try to go so quick.
I'm like, I don't want people who like be like, get a load of this fucking guy.
You know, so again, I get both sides.
But let's go to soft bar.
I was so excited.
We got Carl,
I'm hoping this is just like a lead in to him being part of the show full time next season.
100%.
There's no way now that Lindsay's doing his podcast and shit that he's not going to be full
next year. I agree.
I agree.
A world.
But I also think it's, this was a good,
it was sort of like a testament to like, hey, Kyle and Carl do hang out.
Right.
When they're back in the city, Kyle and Carl do hang out.
And we know the Carl's not on the show, but we do want to show everything.
And you guys know who Carl is.
So I was so excited to see him.
The fact that they were at soft bar, the fact that they were able to cheers and say,
look at us drinking not N.
N.A. beers or any drinks, fantastic.
I want to see more of that because I know, especially during all of the Kyle and Amanda
of stuff and as strained as their marriage is, I know for a fact from what we've heard from
Carl that Kyle and Carl, their friendship got a lot stronger because Kyle was leading on Carl a lot more.
So I would to see that.
I think that's for us who have been watching Summer House for years.
We want to see more of that.
Like I understand if Carl's not on the show, it's more Lindsay-centric, whatever.
I get all of that as much as I want Carl to be on the show.
But don't tell us that Kyle, like, don't, what's the word?
Don't like completely put that in the dark.
Don't, I want to see their friendship.
I want to see their bond growing because we heard so much about it.
And that's genuinely interesting for those of us who have watched this,
especially after this last season where it got a little tenuous when they were fighting outside.
So I want to see them come back together.
I know we get a lot of it in Summerhouse, but there's more to be had in the city.
I agree.
I think the conversations are different, right?
They come off like much more authentic, not the word, but it's just, it's different when
It's a Tuesday in the city and you're meeting up and having these hard conversations about what Kyle's going through versus I love the scenes in Summerhouse when we're full costume talking about serious shit, but it does have a different vibe to it.
You know, we're not at a theme party.
We're just sitting down.
This is a normal day.
Let's hash it out.
And to your point, it is nice to see.
We've watched Carl lean on Kyle for years.
We've had him talk about it, the ups, the downs, all of that stuff.
We know it's a two-way friendship, but we really haven't got.
gotten to see this other side of it as much, like you said.
So it is nice to see.
It's nice to see Kyle have a confidant in somebody that's rooting for him.
There are a few of those on this show.
I actually really appreciated this course at dinner that it wasn't a full throttle.
Like, Kyle, you're the fucking problem.
And fuck you.
Yeah.
That was kind of nice.
Yeah.
And we'll talk about that a lot more when we get there, but there's a lot of validity
to that.
But anyway, I like this scene.
And, you know, Carl's a good resource because he's going to ask.
good questions. He's going to say, like, what are you fighting for? Like, what's the per, what are we
leading towards? What's the perfect scenario in your mind? And Kyle's takeaway is like, look, this is
going to force us to figure out what we want. Well, the question that keeps, the question, whoa,
that keeps coming up is, are you in love? And we can all look at the responses and say, no,
they're not. Clearly, they're not. But you're watching both Kyle and Amanda come to terms with this fact that,
Like, yes, I love you, but I'm not in love with you.
And I needed somebody to say exactly what Carl said at the end of this,
where it's like, dude, I know you're fighting for it.
And there's two parts of this.
One, you guys get back together.
Like, you figure it out, great.
Or you fight for this, whatever.
Or it doesn't work out.
And you've been pretty unhappy lately for the past year.
Plus, the world will not end regardless of what happens.
It may feel like the world is ending, but at the end of the day, there will be a time where we are through this and past this, where this is going to be in your past as well, and you're going to be able to live your life.
So I think Carl's advice is really good because he's saying, don't fight for something that no longer serves you.
And that could go to Amanda as well, even though we don't like her.
Don't fight for something that's not going to give back to you when you can go and live a happy life.
And the thing about Kyle and Amanda at the end of the day, like the biggest thing, you guys don't have children.
kids. So you really can have a thing break from this, you know, like it can be a clean start from
scratch. Granted, there's a lot of baggage now due to Amanda and West, but you do have the opportunity
to like, we're done. I'm going to do my thing. You go do your thing. And that's it. So I like the
Carl, I thought he did a really good job in this scene. I mean, as always, Carl, number one guy.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, Carl has done like leaps and bounds better than a couple of years ago. But,
and I don't know if it's like just the new setting of this show.
and because it's not the summer house,
but this conversation itself just had such a different feel.
I mean,
Kyle's been,
the sky is falling for about two years now.
And every time that he turns around,
something else is going on,
something else is going on,
whether it's lover boy or Amanda.
So I do think that it's genuinely appreciated.
Maybe Kyle just needs Carl to call him every morning and be like,
hey,
world's not going to end.
You're going to be okay.
Let's your little check.
I genuinely think that Kyle's the type of person that might need that,
maybe not anymore.
But it could also just be like what we have been watching.
And I know a lot of us that just kind of like
pushing that to the background because we're so over all of the Kyle Amanda West things.
But when you look at it, especially what we've seen in this show, I mean, yes, we make our
jokes and we say how ludicrous it is that Amanda decided to get a one year or lease on an
apartment after saying month to month and the fact that now they're separated and all of those
things that have come along with it, I know for a fact that we haven't really gotten a conversation
with Kyle and Carl about this. And maybe it took all of the Amanda stuff, maybe the full separation,
maybe her getting an apartment, whatever it was. Or it's just the fact that they're, you know, we moved
it in the city and it's not Summerhouse because like you said just a few seconds ago,
when we get to those conversations in Summerhouse, it's always Kyle's fault. It is the entire
house telling Kyle. You are drunk. You're an idiot. All of the things that you've been doing
are wrong. Carl's not going about it this way. So it's nice to see it down and have that
conversation. And then later, obviously, we're going to have more to say about it. But it has just
such a different feel than the typical Kyle Amanda arguments that we see in Summerhouse.
Everybody immediately has Amanda's back. This was
different. This was a little bit more in the middle, if not shading towards Kyle. So it's,
it just gives a completely different perspective that I really appreciate. And I know we always say
it like, yes, Kyle deep down is a good dude. He has done shitty things. He's been a bad husband. He's
been a bad partner. All of those things. But it doesn't mean that what we got in the summer house
for the last four or five years of him and Amanda and everybody taking Amanda side of this.
It doesn't wear a guy down. So seeing it from the other side, flipping the perspective,
one, we all hate Amanda right now, so it was nice to see her kind of strangle.
But also, it's nice to just see Kyle get support and starting with this scene with Carl.
Exactly, exactly.
It's just nice to get a different perspective now that we know that there's more to this whole thing.
Yeah, we do have to have the disclaimer every episode.
We know that Kyle was not a great partner, husband, all of that.
But now we know that it was not a one-way street.
It takes two to tango.
And we're getting more on that.
And the craziest thing that we're witnessing throughout this whole show,
and we've talked about this almost every episode, especially last episode, that show was wild.
You're seeing what Amanda's trying to do.
She does that.
She doubles down this episode or at the dinner table.
The goal is to use this platform to paint Kyle as an absolute monstrous piece of shit
that is not doing anything to rectify their issues in this marriage.
And that's why I had to end up getting divorced.
This was the last slam dunk on Kyle to put him in his grave.
And then she went and point to west and everything's falling apart.

Hi, I'm Whitney.
And I'm Katie.
And we're the hosts of True Crime Campfire.
We set out to make a true crime podcast we'd want to listen to.
We get right to the story.
We don't do a lot of extra talk in.
we do, it's usually to roast the short hairs off of some loser-murderer or scammer. You'll laugh,
but only at the people who deserve it. Like, which serial killer would you most like to shove into a
locker? B.T.K. and is awful poetry. Dude got caught because he didn't understand what a floppy disk was.
We look for the stranger-than-fiction stories, like the case of Patty James, a killer catfish
before the internet was even a thing. Or Howard Walmsley, a sentient wad of damp laundry who convinced
his town he'd won the lottery, fleeced local businesses out of thousands, and then became a
romance scammer.
We've covered tons of cases you've never heard of, cults, scammers, killers.
So come find your next great binge. Listen to True Crime Campfire on Apple Podcasts, Spotify,

Anywho, Kenny and Lindsay, this was the scene that gave me all the hope for the future of this show, which seems, it seems small.
You know, it doesn't seem like a big deal.
But to me, I'm like, ooh, I think we found our, our two to hold this shit down.
As they're talking, you know, we talk about the dad and the fact that Whitney was the one that
brought it home.
She's like, we have all this info.
So I went on Facebook.
We saw that whole scene.
But it's just nice to see these two have a back and forth.
And Lindsay's opening up about her mom.
And like, she had a brother.
And at three years old, like, mom just couldn't do it anymore.
And they stopped talking at 22.
too. And I can't imagine hearing from your parent, you ruin my life.
I would have such a better life without you too.
It's insane.
But what we're able to get from that is Amanda, Lindsay, is able to address to Kenny.
Like, yes, I have abandonment issues.
I know I do.
And I have to acknowledge that and accept it for the rest of my life.
I've got to deal with the fact that I'm afraid that everyone's going to leave me.
Carl left me, Turner left me, my mom left me.
Everyone's leaving me.
So I just assume that's going to happen in the future.
Kenny has similar feelings, but his is more that nothing works out at the end.
Nothing's going to work out.
So why do I invest in that?
And I will say this, this scene allowed me to give him a bit of a break for the beginning of this show, because it gives you a better perspective where I was like he's putting on for the camera.
He doesn't actually give a fuck.
Now I'm like, okay, if that's true, this makes a lot of sense why you are the way that you are, why you're not willing to do.
just lie at the very least when people are asking about Whitney and be like, yeah, there's a spark.
There's a huge spark.
Like that's all the spark.
It makes sense now.
It's like you're afraid it's going to get fucked up and you don't want to get your hopes
up kind of shit.
So that it allowed me to get to know Kenny Moore, which is important if he's going to be
a centerpiece of this show.
Yeah, absolutely.
And it's crazy to think.
And this is also a very good sign moving forward.
But it's crazy to go back to episode one, episode.
to Lindsay and Kenny were at complete odds.
Now they're sitting down and discussing their abandonment issues.
Now they're sitting down and talking like inner philosophical feelings about how they're
going through life and what they want in life and how all the things that they've endured
through their lives have gotten them to this point.
Like it's a pretty cool conversation honestly with the two of them.
We've seen this from Lindsay a lot.
We haven't seen it from Kenny.
So it adds a different layer to Kenny.
And if Kenny can tow the balance of being an asshole being kind of, you know,
I don't want to use the word that we've used a million times.
But if he feels like he's better than other people and he kind of interjects himself into a conversation like, I'm better than you.
But he can have conversations like this.
I'm fine with that.
That is the perfect reality TV star.
And again, him and him and Lindsay being at odds and having this conversation six episodes later gives me so much hope moving forward because both of them are able to do something like this.
And the other piece of this is one, he immediately gives credit to Whitney.
Once again, he did it.
He talked to his dad last week.
Give credit to Whitney.
He now did it again talking to Lindsay.
and I don't even know if you caught her face.
When he brings up Whitney and she goes,
whoa,
whoa,
whoa,
Whitney got involved in this?
How she thought it was more of the same?
What happened to the spark?
Maybe we can do this again.
Nope,
he's giving her credit right up.
And look,
maybe it's a move.
If you want to be a little cynical,
go ahead and do it.
I'm not going to stop you.
But I took that as he's now reestablishing.
Like,
hey,
we got off on the wrong foot.
The whole group thinks that maybe I don't like my girlfriend.
She just moved across the country here.
I'm going to make sure that I give her credit where credit is due
to show you guys how close we are,
to show you guys that
There is a future here.
And I do see her as my partner.
And I think that's really important, whether he means it or not.
It doesn't matter.
It's all about how it's going to look to the rest of the group.
So I really liked that too.
But it was just a deeper conversation that can add a different layer to this show.
And that's what I want to see.
Exactly.
Exactly.
It just gives you hope for the future, which is what we need.
And yeah, I agree with you.
He's now trying to rectify the situation and saying like, yes, that's my lady.
And it doesn't feel like damage control.
I think that's the most important part for me.
you see the scramble, you see the damage control.
We can always see it when you watch enough of these shows.
Didn't seem like it.
It just seemed genuine, which is great.
Yeah, and to end it with, you got a good head on your shoulders, better than I thought, at least.
Yeah.
Good.
Because I want this to be a back and forth really.
I want you guys to get into shit.
I want you to be out of times.
And I want you to come back together and have these moments.
And then that's going to be great.
God forbid you ever team up the other person screwed.
Yeah, you're going to completely bulldoze somebody.
This duo up again, I would put them up against pretty much anything.
many people, yeah.
Yeah, which will be fun.
But let's get to dinner.
Yvonne and Nick, they have their dinner thing after their legal wedding.
And we get a foreshadowing in the beginning.
Tonight's about them, not us, according to Amanda.
Okay.
Now, did you catch the name tag or the nameplate on Danielle?
No, what was it?
CEO.
Founder and influencer.
Well done, bravo.
Well done.
Yeah, that's a good one.
But the crazier thing is the attire in which Danielle showed up it.
This is a wedding.
Now, there is a wrinkle in this because she did send the dress to Yvonne.
And in the right lighting, the dress is very pink.
Not very pink.
It's slightly pink.
Yvonne says, gorgeous, whatever.
My question to you, because even Gavin looks at it.
And I don't like Gavin, but he's like, I wouldn't warn that.
why even risk it?
Why even put on anything remotely white?
Just put on any other color.
You're at a wedding.
Like that,
I don't know.
I think the self-awareness factor there.
She knew what she was doing.
I was just about to say is actually,
that was in all of this was intentional.
She wouldn't have sent a picture if she hadn't thought about it.
And if you have to think about it,
then don't wear the dress.
Correct.
That's the first part, second part.
if you, and I know this is, you know, a second wedding and it's really just a dinner and you're just kind of celebrating or whatever, if you ever text a bride before their wedding, reception, dinner, whatever it might be, and say, hey, what do you think about this dress?
I doubt, even if you get a response, they're not really looking at the picture.
I'm just being honest.
They have so many things going on, they don't care, but use your better judgment.
And if you're going to send a picture of the dress to see if you can get guidance, when she says later, like, I didn't have it.
anything. It was just such short notice. We've known about it for three episodes. So that's like a
closet app that can tell you what you have. Yeah. That's a good, really good point. Actually,
Hey, I'm going to a wedding. What should I wear? I'm thinking about wearing this pink dress.
That was the whole point. Even your stupid app that you developed, although Danielle developed the app. So I bet you
it would say, uh, it looks a little pink. So if anybody says anything, just get into an argument with
them and blame them on their wedding day. That that's probably what her house says. So yeah,
you cannot convince me otherwise that Danielle did not know what she was doing.
just the picture alone, but I think she took it even further,
which is again so infuriating from Danielle.
But it's what we've learned to understand about Danielle over the years.
Yeah.
And now she's upset because Lindsay's being cold again.
But again, look at everything going on.
You wore a pretty much white dress to this thing,
which is going to rub her the wrong way.
Yvonne's her best friend.
And there's more shenanigans afoot about you and Owen that people are answering questions.
So now she's a little irritated because you guys have a whole conversation
about being up front and talking about things.
And Gavin is such a messy bitch.
Yes, he is.
How did you find out that you were Googled?
Gavin's like, I don't know if I said it, but I definitely thought it.
I was like, you say everything you think.
And again, I thought it was Kyle again for a second until Gavin popped up on screen.
I really did.
And it was funny.
But yeah, I mean, of course it's Gavin.
Of course he did that.
He probably texted Owen or Danielle immediately after.
Yeah.
And could I hang out with Gavin?
Absolutely not.
I would pull all of my hairs out, including my beard hair.
I could definitely hang out with them, but I couldn't be in close.
Well, because you would like send him,
and point him at people.
Did you hear this?
And then you would like send them over there to start shit.
I don't make a lot of things up about.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah.
I can see it now.
It would be,
you would have a blast.
I would have.
I'd have an explosion of excitement.
There you go.
Oh, goddamn.
Yeah, I don't care for that one.
But anyway, Danielle's Piss.
Owens pissed because people are digging.
And that sets the stage for dinner upstairs.
And you get like a nice speech from Yvonne.
And she's talking about her and Nick and their marriage and love and all of these things.
Meanwhile, you have Kyle and Amanda looking at each other.
I'm like, oh, maybe they're having a moment.
Like, oh, hearing all these nice things.
Like, yeah, that is what it's all about.
And then Amanda flips Kyle off.
Okay.
Okay.
The moment's over.
There is no moment, actually.
it's unbelievable.
I mean,
just when you think that they're doing anything,
although actually,
now that I'm thinking about it,
the first instance,
literally the first instance of this scene,
Amanda has to stop Kyle mid-conversation
walking in behind her and says,
hey,
are you going to say hi to me?
No, go away.
Like, enough.
And she did that too.
Why is everything a problem?
What was that party?
Was it,
oh, man,
what was the party that we did in the beginning?
Oh, no,
they were at the bar at,
it was some celebration of something.
Yeah, I wanted to almost say it was soft bar opening, but that wasn't it.
No, it was a Gavin spot, wasn't it?
Yeah, it was the beginning.
It was the beginning of this season.
She did something.
And then she's like, oh, yeah, I can hear Kyle from across the room, but he doesn't come over to say hi to me.
Yeah, I remember that.
It's just so annoying when she does.
It's just bringing, it's making problems out of nothing.
And it's just, again, that's where you see her trying to paint this picture even more.
or so of Kyle and his shenanigans so that she can slam dunk.
That's why we got divorced.
Look at this piece of shit.
That's all I'm seeing.
But obviously there's a lot of baby talk around this table.
Everyone's planning on trying to have kids soon or talking ovulation, all of that,
which you brought up earlier.
Owen and Danielle, this would be a moment to talk about your shit in a more normal way where it's like,
you know what, we've been talking about kids in the future as well.
I think it would have,
you don't think so?
I don't think that would play at all.
I think it would normalize their relationship a little bit.
I don't think so because they haven't even gotten over the first speed bump.
First speed bump is just established the fact that there was no wonky timeline.
And again, you and I agree.
That's yes, sure.
It gives a shit.
I really don't care.
But yeah, I think if they jump to that, it would be such a look at me moment for Danielle,
who's already a big look at me girl and has been for years.
So if she did that, it would be more of the same.
And I guarantee you they would get knocked back down.
But then look, if she did it, yes, she would have a leg.
Yeah, she would have a leg to stand on if people got mad at her or were mean to her.
But yeah, I don't think that would have played that well.
Yeah, I see what you're saying.
Do you see where I'm coming from, though?
Like it makes it more normal if you guys talk about normal shit.
But what broke my heart and I don't know, like, Amanda's tone when saying this.
I was like, do you feel bad?
Because she's like, Reese cried for the first time today.
I was like, that's sad because you're separating.
the dogs.
Like,
yeah,
I don't know why the dogs have to suffer
because you guys can't figure it out.
And her saying,
like,
he cried for the first time today.
I was like,
are you happy about that?
Yeah,
he seemed like you're kind of happy about that.
But then in the same sentence,
it was,
how is the new apartment?
Oh,
the new apartment's great.
It's great.
Fantastic.
So,
so good and messy.
I have so many places to put piles of clothes.
It's awesome.
But Gavin being Gavin just dives in.
It's like,
how are you guys doing sleeping separate?
That's been fine,
you know?
Normally, I would go to bed before him anyway, because you were high.
Okay.
Whoa.
Yeah, well, you know, I spoke.
That was so funny.
The whole thing is funny.
Like, don't get to twisted.
When I analyze Gavin, it is not taking away from what he delivered in the scene.
Because watching it, I love it.
Like, it's so out of left field.
It's so invasive.
It's so inappropriate.
And yet I can't get enough of it.
I just like, I have a hard time separating it from.
how I would react to somebody doing shit like this.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What the fuck?
And he's like,
because you were high.
I spoke to go to sleep.
Oh,
you have to smoke to go to sleep.
And I just wrote my like,
who is this guy?
They're all adults.
Over again.
But like this is actually like,
I think this was a great precursor to how the dinner went and how everything was
happening was him doing that because it was more questions.
It was follow up questions,
which we beg for all the time in these situations.
Like, all right.
That was a little.
that was a little murky.
That was a little unclear.
Like maybe next time you could say something that will actually put me at ease and really
convince me that that's how you feel.
Gavin asking follow-up questions right after and just bop it, bop and bop and
no matter who it is, is always funny.
So I thought this was great.
And I think this kind of showed you what Gavin can be.
And if you figures it out and he starts to balance it a little bit better,
I just don't balance.
Awesome for the show.
But I do think we're still going to have those moments in those episodes where we want
to pull our hair out.
The weirdest part to me,
is Danielle jumping in on behalf of Amanda.
She's like, this is coming from Kyle
who's telling Gavin this.
Cause again, oh shit, Sherlock.
Who are you?
I love that too.
They have no respect for Daniel.
They have zero respect for Daniel.
I don't understand what she,
like I do understand what she's doing.
I know what you're trying to do with Amanda right now.
Yeah.
But it doesn't make any sense logically.
You guys just had it out on the trolley.
You haven't squashed anything.
And now you're going to defend her because you want to go against Kyle
who you're up his ass every time on Summerhouse.
So that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
It's clearly a move.
And I don't know what the end goal is here at all.
Maybe she's just trying to ingratiate herself into the group more with other people.
I don't know.
But I was like, why are you now defending Amanda?
I'm like, why are you jumping into this conversation?
Yeah, because everything that we've known from the past,
you've been closer to Kyle than Amanda.
So, yeah, it was probably a move.
Maybe she also thought the same thing that I thought.
and the whole google thing which we were about to talk about in a few minutes maybe she did think
it was kyle because kyle also did the spark comment maybe so maybe she just thinks that kyle's
being messy because of his life falling apart now he's being messy so she probably tied blame to him
and now she has beef with him without even knowing if he did it or not i don't know um that extends
but yeah it was very puzzling when she stepped in for amanda now amanda can't get out of her own
way because you would think you would just take a back seat instead she goes back with daniel
I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, she's trying to defend you.
I don't care if it's Danielle or not.
Your normal move is to just kind of take a step back and let other people fight your battles for you.
She's getting involved now.
And again, this goes to say what we've been talking about for weeks.
Amanda thinks this is playing out so differently.
This is her big, huge moment.
We're done.
Me and Kyle are over.
And this is my final thing to do is just to paint him as this big monster.
So when she starts going back at Kyle, it's like, oh, no, you have no idea how this is going to look.
And she starts getting so.
defensive of the weed and going back and forth.
She's like, well, you know, it's not like I got so high that I cheated on my husband
or anything.
It's like, oh, it doesn't play.
Whoa.
We're not doing that one again.
It's just, this is four straight episodes of you mentioning this.
And I'm sick and tired of it.
It was just so far to left field.
It's like, I get you're irritated because Kyle told Gavin about the smoking weed thing.
Like, I see that you're irritated about that.
And sure, I can play devil's advocate.
and be like, that's kind of annoying.
Like, I'm just smoking a joint before going to bed.
I'm catching shit for it.
But to then, this is the second time in two weeks that we've seen a conversation that's
at a five.
And then she takes it to a 10 with one comment where it's like, well, I never cheated on
him when I smoked weed, never portrayed trust when I smoked weed.
It's like, whoa, all right.
And then Kyle goes, well, you never have sex after you smoke weed.
And I'm like, oh, okay, we're deviated now.
And Gavin is.
trying to not mediate.
He's just like hearing a man.
He's like,
I see what you're trying to do.
But, uh,
I get it.
Like,
I know what you're doing.
Like,
you're not staying focused.
That's okay.
Like,
I get the picture,
which is that kind of shit,
I think is hilarious when he,
like,
narrates what's going on the moment.
But then we get Katie fucking Deluca out of nowhere.
I thought that was her.
I didn't know if it was her for sure because I was taking notes.
But she's like,
well,
she was moving out.
And he brought random people back.
I was like,
why are you again,
when we go back.
You should have known as soon as she made that comment who it was.
That's why I thought it was, sir.
I just didn't have like confirmation of who it was.
But in my head, I'm like, all right, can we go back to that?
And then Georgina says something about it too where she's like, you know,
when I left my boyfriend or whatever five years, you know, the day I was moving out,
he went to the gym.
If he had stayed, blah, blah, blah.
I get that part of it, right?
Like, if you're really trying to make it work, you would have been here.
But at the same time, your partner of 10 years.
is moving out of your house into what you thought was going to be a one month lease,
turns out to one year lease.
So I kind of get why he was like, no, I'm not going to be home to watch you move out.
And also we've had all weekend to like have a sad powwow about you bouncing.
Yeah.
And we haven't done anything until the last night, which is Marathon Day, which we got a lot of
DMs from people saying, everybody knows that Marathon Day is an all day thing.
You start early and late.
It's a whole thing in the city.
So I will die on the hill of I don't get why people don't get why Kyle didn't want to be in that apartment.
Yeah.
And that's the thing is like we're not excusing the behavior.
But no, say that you don't understand why he did it, I think is kind of ludicrous.
Yes.
I think it's very, very obvious why.
And if you can't understand why, then maybe your life is perfect.
But it makes total sense to me.
It truly does.
And again, not excusing the behavior.
So if you do want to bop him for having random people back the night before she moves out, fine.
But don't bop him for staying out all day and staying out all night when he's probably just trying to escape from reality.
I mean, that's kind of what we see from Kyle.
Yeah.
And it doesn't excuse behaviors.
Like you said, we're not excusing behaviors.
We're just saying like in the grand scheme of things, you can kind of understand where the dude's coming from.
And given where we're currently at in this relationship, is that an extra.
thing to like we really don't need to throw that on there he's done enough stuff shit but like
lean on not the last night where you know again one year lease out of nowhere he found out like a
week before she moved out that it's a one year lease instead when like the whole time and i think
the biggest thing for me and then we'll talk about you know the white dress comment from evan
but just to stay on task here i think the biggest thing is when we get into the idea that i think
Kenny's the one that speaks up because you watch this whole thing play out.
You're seeing everyone pile on Kyle.
Everyone's jumping in.
Like he's doing this wrong.
He's doing that wrong.
He's doing that wrong.
Kenny's speaking up that, you know, a lot of this seems to be put on Kyle's shoulders to rectify this whole thing to fix this marriage.
And granted, he's done a lot of stupid shit.
But this has been my take since the beginning.
If you guys are trying to figure it out and you're trying to do this correctly, then it does need
to be mutual. Like, you both need to be addressing things that you aren't doing in the marriage.
Kyle's are very easy to pinpoint because we've been watching it for five years plus,
like obviously 10 years, but you've been married before. Amanda, especially now what we know,
even if I didn't know this, I would still say, well, there is stuff that she has to work on too.
There's no mutual respect of like, you work on this. I'm going to work on that and we'll see
where we're at. Every conversation about their marriage turns into, he's a,
piece of shit. He needs to fix this. He needs to fix that. I'm fine. I'm perfect. I don't need to
change anything. It's like, well, if you really want, if you really wanted this marriage to work,
then you wouldn't be approaching it from the, there's only one side to the story. If you really
wanted it to work, you'd be acknowledging like, I do need to clean some things up. No pun intended.
But you're not. So that to me says this was never supposed to work. Right. Yeah, absolutely. And that's
why I really appreciate the perspective because it is such a perspective shift from what we get from summer.
house. And again, Kenny is not holding Amanda's feet to the fire. He's not throwing her out there and
blaming her. Like we've seen Kyle get the blame. His understanding of the whole thing. It was just,
it was a down the middle. Like, hey, this is mutual. Stop acting like Kyle's at fault for everything.
That is in itself, watching Amanda kind of squirm through all of this was very fun for me. Because it's
the first time ever that she's gotten this. She's never had somebody actually say that and say,
wow Amanda, maybe you're a little at fault.
Maybe a little at fault.
It's not just all, Kyle.
You did get involved in this.
I'm sure there's other things that are going on with you two.
Nope, never, never done before.
We've never seen it on Summer House.
So getting this, at least for the viewer,
it gives you something else to look at.
Like, at the very least, if you can agree with one side or the other,
I don't care.
But seeing somebody else talk about it is very important
because for the years that we've seen the two of them together,
it is always the entire summer house going to Amanda
and saying, we're really sorry for what you have to deal with.
We're really sorry for what you have to endure.
Not one person has ever said, why'd you marry this guy in the first place if there's problems right here?
You thought he was going to change?
He didn't.
It's always, oh, sorry, Amanda, well was Amanda?
And that's what she got used to.
So one person just may be insinuating that there's something else going on and it's a little more mutual.
That's enough for Amanda to be like, oh, I don't know what to do.
And she didn't speak for the rest of the dinner.
I mean, yeah, she got into it with Danielle a little bit, but she didn't talk about this anymore.
Yeah, and I think that the other part of that,
is we in this timeline of the show,
they don't know about West.
That hasn't come to light.
So for them to speak up,
for Kennedy to speak up and say that it is more mutual
without that information,
I thought was really important.
Like that's an important thing to distinct.
Distinct.
Is that a verb?
Distinct.
Are you distincting?
Okay.
To distinct from,
there's,
that's definitely not how you say it,
but whatever.
Definitely not how you say it.
Nope.
But Yvonne is upset,
obviously.
I do give her credit.
Like, she didn't lose her shit at any point, which she totally was within her right to do so and didn't.
I do agree with you.
You did this on reality TV.
You know what to expect.
But at the same time, I thought she stayed pretty composed.
And she's like, can we knock this shit off, please?
I'm so tired of people fighting, especially people that show up in a white dress.
I was like, ooh, boom.
How the fuck?
Like, even Danielle should know.
You can't call her a bitch, not tonight.
And she's like, you're talking about me, bitch.
I was like, what?
Oh, you can be mad about the dress thing because you did text her.
Like I get sort of, again, as we said earlier, if you have to text,
if you have to send that text, don't wear that dress.
Yeah.
But you could have been like, whoa, whoa, whoa, I texted you about that.
But to call her a bitch on her wedding night, wild move.
Fucking wild.
Yeah, that tells me everything I did to know about Danielle and where we are now.
It was unbelievable.
But we immediately get sucked back into the Kyle and,
and Amanda's shit, you know, Yvonne excuses herself from the table.
She's crying down at the bar or I don't even think she cried.
Someone said she was crying.
I don't think she was.
I don't think she was.
I don't want to say that she was if she wasn't because again,
I thought she was relatively unbothered given the situation.
But Lindsay does start crying because she's looking at the situation from her own perspective,
which was kind of like I wasn't expecting this part, this layer because she's like,
I thought Turner was going to be my fairy tale.
He didn't love that I was public, but I thought we'd be able to work through it.
Like I was even willing to compromise my career to give this family a shot and he wasn't in.
And that really sucked.
And so watching these two break down in front of everybody, I thought this was probably the best speech addressing both of them that we've ever gotten.
Because she's like, you're trying to change him.
You're trying to change her.
But you guys have such different ideas of what partnership and togetherness meet.
I was like, boom.
Well, that's what Amanda says.
Kyle just wants a party girl.
It's like, no.
No, what are we doing here?
Even we know that.
I don't get it.
Yeah, the Lindsay stuff with Turner, I think, was very interesting this episode.
I mean, she kind of shoehorned it at the end of the Kenny conversation, which I didn't really understand.
Mostly because Lindsay has not really talked about it.
I mean, from our perspective, from the viewer's perspective, like, yeah, maybe we always thought there was a little bit more there.
But it was always just, oh, yeah, Lindsay got what she wanted.
She wanted a baby.
She got her baby.
It seems like everything's okay.
They'll work through it.
They'll co-parent.
They'll do all of those things.
But in terms of like the emotional value of what happened and what went on with her and Turner,
we haven't really gotten the whole story.
Maybe she was just waiting for this and not Summerhouse.
I don't know.
But I think that it's going to bubble up eventually.
So I thought that it was a very interesting thing going on with Lindsay and Turner that I didn't really see coming,
especially not in the heat of an Amanda Kyle argument.
No, not at all.
And the crazy part, it's not that crazy when you look at the culprits involved.
But when Kyle returns, actually, oh, sorry, he returns and he leaves again, I believe.
Yeah.
But he's like any further questions you can email me, which I thought was funny.
Yeah.
But Kenny like empathizes with him and like we have a big speech about let's reset this dinner.
This is about Yvonne.
It's about Nick.
Yvonne's back at the table.
Again, in pretty good spirits, all things considered.
Out of nowhere.
Like this isn't, if you guys aren't going to join the conversation, if you're not going to open up,
If you're not going to be part of the group at other times of this show, you don't get to sit there and go, yeah, well, you know, can we talk about Lindsay looking up shit about Owen?
It's like, no, no, because you guys aren't doing anything.
And now you want to get mad about people trying to bring you into the show.
And as Lindsay starts going into everything, it's like, one, it was the boys.
It's the boys.
It's the boys.
It's the boys.
It's the boys.
I just looked it up.
Two, why are you on the show?
And I knew that Danielle was going to take that and run with like,
oh,
that's what it is.
Like, no,
she's not saying that.
She brought you on the show.
Okay?
You're here because of her.
So don't even try that shit.
She's simply saying,
why are both of you on the show if you're not going to talk about anything?
Like,
that's the whole point of this show.
And you guys are discrediting that by not talking about it.
But then you want to get up in arms at the dinner table like you have been a part of this group the entire time.
No.
I think that this actually kind of spawned one of my favorite things about this show.
know is a whole group of people talking about someone else's situation while those people sit at the table.
Yeah.
I love it.
I think it is hilarious to watch Kenny and to watch Gavin and then Kyle all start riffing off of each other about what's going on with Owen and when he got divorced and when he got married.
When Owen's sitting at the end of the table, not able to get a word in edgewise about his own life.
Everyone is just discussing in front of him.
I think it's really funny.
I love what the camera pans back to him and he's like, uh, uh, uh, uh, all right.
Just yeah, keep going.
you guys are doing doing great doing great finally we get to the point that we start talking about
when they got married okay so you got married to 2023 but you said that you were married for four years
try to explain that one or just do anything like you can put it to bed and i love when we start talking
about that and obviously it's on the heels of talking about the show and asking why daniel and owen or
even on the show this is how it works and everybody at the table understands that they're all looking at
oh and like dude you could have just answered that you could have just said that you could have just
what it was and then you see the scene where he's talking to amanda which i thought was kind of funny
amanda's quote unquote trying to help them which i don't believe but she can say whatever the hell
she wants but she's trying to help them by asking owen to just try to clarify what the timeline is
and he goes well it's cove have you ever heard of a little thing called covid i was like you understand
i was yeah he is a dick and we don't like amanda but that was a dickish thing to say
so they got married in 2021 they had a ceremony that or they didn't have a ceremony but they
got married in 2021, then they officially got married in 2023.
Okay, cool.
Everyone at that table is looking at him, like, lead off with that.
Lead off with that.
Now he has nothing to say, of course.
And then when Lindsay keeps going and then Danielle get involved, that's when he makes
the comment like, oh, yeah, my eardrum's bleeding from that bitch down to the other table.
Done.
We're done with Owen.
We can move on very quickly from him.
Yeah, we don't do that.
Owen.
Nope.
We don't do that.
That's the lazy way out, what you just did.
You took the low-hanging fruit in a situation that.
you created by not being able to talk about stuff because you think you're too good for this show
and it could have been squashed two episodes three four or five the day you were on the show the first
day you could have said boop this is what's going on we wouldn't care because we don't really care now
it's just now it's turned into a whole thing because you and daniel are using it to try to
garner sympathy or act like you're getting attacked by this whole group and lindsay's able to spin it
and be like oh how the tables have turned because and we know this to be true because she has
professionals about it. She says it to other people before this whole thing went down.
She actually does have Danielle's best interest in hearts. I'm trying to make sure you're not
getting fucking conned at the end of the day. She's like, no, you're not. And like the difference
between you and I, Danielle, is that I was like trying to figure out things. I was looking
things up. I was asking questions. You go around and talk about my shit to other people and
have opinions on it. If you look back, Lindsay didn't have.
have opinions about anything.
She was just trying to figure out what the truth was.
So Danielle, again, by highlighting all these things, all you're doing is highlighting your
shortcomings instead of highlighting the fact that Lindsay's coming after you or the group
someone's coming after me and Owen.
No, you two are kind of irrelevant.
What's happening is there's two people in the cast that aren't showing up to work and it's
pissing off the rest of the cast.
Yeah.
And in a very, very weird, bizarre world way.
This is Danielle thinking that she's having a moment.
And that's what I think the funnyest part about all of this is.
At the end of the day,
she thought that this was going to be a great moment where she can go back at Lindsay.
She's got one on Lindsay.
Lindsay was Googling when Owen got married.
She got her.
She found out the information before Lindsay was able to take it up.
No,
it just doesn't hit.
Every time that Danielle tries to plan something like this,
it's always so stupid.
And I love the way that everybody looks at her when she does something like that.
Because you get obviously starting off with Kyle saying,
no shit Sherlock, which made me laugh out loud.
But you get Lindsay just looking at her crazy.
Like, what are you talking about?
Who are you doing with any of this?
It is so funny to watch just the complete devolving of what Danielle's trying to accomplish.
And everyone's looking at her like she's nuts.
And again, they have gotten so many different opportunities to just cop out.
Just tell us the truth.
And this will be over with.
And if you can do it in 30 seconds, Owen, you should have done it 10 episodes ago.
Period.
That's it.
Like, it's so easy.
It could have been squashed before.
before it even started.
But they leave the dinner table.
And,
you know,
Gavin points out the most egregious events.
She didn't even touch her plate.
Yep.
Thank you, Gavin.
One of the senses was not optimized.
Yeah,
exactly.
You did the most important one actually tasting it.
But I don't want to miss the fact that Nick jumping in was like,
we met this date.
Now we got married on this date,
but we didn't have an actual wedding.
So we did that today.
He's like, yeah, that's fucking funny.
Point out to Owen what he's doing wrong.
Nick is a weirdo and he doesn't always show up,
but he has these moments where he's got funny lines.
Yeah, he comes in.
He's got funny lines here and he's like,
now if everybody can please shut the hell up, you psychos,
my wife is coming back from crying in the bathroom.
We want to eat dessert.
Please leave us alone and let's have a fun night.
Yeah, and then Kenny gives a whole speech.
There's a lot going on.
Love making.
Love breaking.
We laughed and we cried.
I was like,
this is actually kind of a funny toast.
But didn't know Lindsay was capable of crying human tears.
Zing, got you.
Still friends though.
Love that.
Love the back and forth.
We need to get away.
Let's all get out of the city.
You know,
let's all get away.
Unsuspected hosts.
You got Lindsay and Kenny for a little friends giving trip.
And then you got Yvonne.
Very valid.
Like,
oh,
you guys are planning an event.
Real or not.
We talked about her doing this whole dinner for her wedding
for reality TV and like you got to understand this is how the game works it's going to be okay at the
end of the day you should have done this off screen if you wanted to have a real dinner whatever it's
still incredibly funny that she's like you guys are just stealing my thunder this whole time we're
talking about kyle and amanda we're talking about lindsay and daniel and owen we haven't talked about
my wedding day once and now we're talking about a friends giving getaway yeah maybe we'll be there
if not i hope you guys have fun i thought that was really funny and everyone's like
oh okay that's how we're going to handle no but we're all going yeah that's that's a good response
for vivant whether whether or not you like it yeah it was very funny and i agree with her it's like
here we go again it's not about me and i love that kenny trying to like make it okay but it's all
together like we're all going so you're involved we're talking about you no yeah okay and she
just goes this kind of sucks i was like good sport good sport very good sport
Let's get to some questions.
First up here, I couldn't disagree more, but Megano, Megano.
Anyone else struggling with the feeling of being on Danielle's side in all of this?
It feels wrong.
No longer on Danielle's side.
She had a two episode stretch there where she went against Amanda,
and that is an easy opponent to defeat.
No longer do I care about Danielle.
It was a weird time for me.
Yeah, that was funny to watch, though.
Lindsay Bucks, great point.
How was Lindsay moving too fast when Danielle can't?
Can't wait to have a baby with a dude.
She's known for four months.
Yeah.
Who's married?
Yeah, who's still married?
Yeah, that's a very, very good point.
That's a very good point.
Janice Ingram 360.
Isn't Amanda asking about the timelines of any relationships such a joke?
Oh, that's a great point to put that together.
It's so far to my mind now.
That's such a good point.
K.T.
Gwen, was the dress, we got a gold or blue dress debate again.
Was the dress white or was it big?
Remember that?
the black and gold
or black and white
or black and blue guys?
Yeah, because I'm colorblind
so that was a completely
different cluster fuck for me.
I saw blue and gold
which was not an option.
I think that was one of them.
No,
it was white and gold or blue and black
and I saw blue and black.
Yeah,
that's when Shooter found out he was colorblind.
I think all of you guys are colorblind
that I'm fine.
No, that's not true.
Yeah, probably not.
Yeah, that's not true.
From its sin,
do the fashion bros,
hell yeah,
agree for a wedding,
when in doubt don't wear anything close to white yeah yeah yeah that's what we said if you have to send
the text don't wear the dress yeah uh oh this is uh well we kind of already addressed that but philly ginger
not in the city related but thoughts on liz not returning to r o r h o r i expected we called it it was
expected yeah we called that halfway through the season i was sitting on the beach my girlfriend and
i were sitting on the beach and that news dropped i was going through the comments i was so
amazed at how many people were like,
what? She had such a good
first season. I'm like, oh. She did fine.
Yeah. She did fine.
But no one knows, and it's very funny
because obviously you and I do it every day.
So we read the
blogs, we read the tweets, we read
all the rumors. It was pretty clear
that she wasn't going to come back after
especially all the Dino stuff. And then
what might be going on with her or whether or not she was
comfortable with it. I thought
it was very obvious that it wasn't going to happen. But to see
so many people shocked, I'm like,
I guess people don't really do as much as we do.
That makes sense.
I had one.
I just lost it.
Rachel Michaelis,
Hope Shooter does this recap,
at least partially tipsy.
He's ever so gently.
He's not tipsy.
Like a smidge.
Yeah.
Don't worry.
I'm a horrible enabler for an alcoholic.
I'll tell you that right now.
I will crack a beer and like stick it under his nose.
I drink this.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
I wouldn't do it to anybody that actually is teetering with a drinking pot.
I just like to clarify, not a monster.
No, no, just, yeah, to me, it's fine. But from Fush 78, Yvonne, it's your third wedding celebration.
Relax your slacks. I like that one.
Relax your slacks is fun. I like that a lot.
I might have to adopt that one.
Yeah, Saradi. I shouldn't be surprised, but Amanda giving the bird to Kyle during the speech was diabolical.
I thought so, too. I thought that was like such a weird little like, man.
Yeah, I agree.
It's bizarre.
We'll end on this one from Sarah Hills.
Who caused the most drama?
I vote Danielle starting shit right after it calmed down.
Gavin is at the root of all of it.
Yeah, Gavin was at the root of at least the start of it.
And then he perpetuated once things start to calm down.
Then he started something else.
So I'll say Gavin too.
But Danielle's a pretty close second because Gavin wanted to do that.
Danielle is just innately going to do that exactly exactly but all in all very good episode
the show is taking shape very happy with where we're at we are not getting bogged down by
kyle and amanda stuff because and i think that's a testament to like again the setting this is such a
different perspective than we've had in the past that i'm not like oh god we're still talking about these
to. So I'm curious, curious to see how they're going to move forward with this show, because as of
right now, I'm pretty excited about it in the city. Yeah, me as well. But that's all I got.
You got anything else? Nope. All good here. That's our show. Brobros are out of here.
