Bros & Shows - Will Jessel & Erin Ruin The New RHONY? (RHONY Full Recap S16E4)

Episode Date: October 1, 2026

What's up bros?? We're going to be blunt here - we need Jessel & Erin to take a step back and let the new cast thrive because they can easily derail what looks like a fun and promising cast. We think ...eventually the flow won't be disrupted by them but right now it's becoming a glaring issue that everything works perfectly until we get to Jessel and/or Erin doing their typical shenanigans. Starting point is 00:00:00 Where some see heroes and others see egos. Bloomberg sees the era of billionaire athletes. While others follow the noise, we follow the money. Learn more at Bloomberg.com. I don't want to get ahead of myself here. I do tend to do that sometimes, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I thought this was very funny.
Starting point is 00:00:25 It had some classic housewife feel to it. The scene at the end at the gala where they're chirping at each of other than you get the random person. Like, this is really rude. This was a good app. This was a good ep of housewives. But do you think Carol should be going to a private island? As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Bravo Bros. Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brab Bros, your favorite podcast from the Bros for everybody, for whoever wants to listen.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I am your co-host, Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only Gallagooter. What's up, dude? We love a good gala in this house. We love Martha Stewart in this house. Three out of four episodes, we get Martha. I think that is the plan, honestly. I think for the first season. Look, I mean, she can do whatever the hell she wants.
Starting point is 00:01:34 And I imagine that Andy at this point has her on speed dial and she's got Andy on speed dial in some way, maybe not on the same phone. But she can just show up whatever the hell she wants. She's delightful. This is such a good world for her to be in a full scene dedicated to her just talking to Daisy about what's going on in her life and when she needs her. Not a lot happens there, but it's just a good time. And it's such a good break, especially for somebody that pretty much is worldwide loved. I love that. And I was looking at Twitter because I was curious, how is this show being received?
Starting point is 00:02:07 Because I'm really enjoying it. Even the first few episodes, were they bangers? No, but they, like we talked about, gave us a lot to be hopeful for. This to me was things kind of coming together, hitting their stride a little bit. Episode four, we're kind of into the season. We're kind of figuring out where everyone's going to land. And it's working. I really like it.
Starting point is 00:02:24 But I went and checked Twitter and I was like, all right, what's the vibe? And there was somebody talking about Martha. They're like, oh, this was really funny to me. Oh, so Martha's allowed to be a snob. But when Jessel does it, I was like, hold on now. Yes. Martha fucking Stewart can't do that. Jessel is not Martha fucking Stewart.
Starting point is 00:02:44 So it's very, we're talking about different levels here, right? Martha Stewart's fucking rich. Martha Stewart is go to jail for financial crimes rich. That's how rich she is. That's bullshit, by the way. She got hosed in that case. She's doing Martha Stewart for life. But that different stratosphere, she's like rich, rich.
Starting point is 00:03:01 I hate to say it, but that is what's wrong with housewives right now. No one gives a shit. You shouldn't be comparing Jessel and Martha Stewart. Jessel is not allowed to be snobby. And I do think we made some headway. I think we made some very good headway in this episode where we're talking about popcorn ceilings because she was very snobby about that.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Just call her out on it. I do think Jessel is somewhat aware enough where if she gets called out on the same type of thing over and over, she will start to change her tune a little bit. I think that Aaron on the other hand probably won't be changing her tune. But it's the only real standout problem for me right now is there's too much circulating around Jessel and Aaron. They can't carry the whole show.
Starting point is 00:03:45 And I think you do have a very good cast where I'm heavily invested in Haley. I'm heavily invested in Daisy. There's so much going on there. And Carol even, like I want to know more about what's going on with Carol. And I want more from her in different scenes because she brings the old house wafery into the, the new world and she can have a gala and act like she's upset that people are talking at the
Starting point is 00:04:04 same time. But she's not really because she understands that that's how this show works. If you're going to have cameras there, of course, they're going to be talking in the back and people are going to be offended. So those things are all so good for this show. We have to get through the Jessel and Aaron thing. And it seems like we're still on a warpath. We're still on a collision course where these two are going to continue to butt heads. I'm just worried it's going to take away from the show. They need to get out of each other's way. They need to get out of the cast way. and we need a good, well-rounded group. Enough of the shit.
Starting point is 00:04:31 I think what we're going to end up seeing is a come-down moment, whether forced or whether they understand what's happening, I think that they're going to be surprised as this season plays out, that the audience reaction is, give us more Haley, give us more Daisy. I've seen so many people lobbying for Daisy and what she's bringing to this show. Haley is so funny and quirky and weird. Carol's Carol, you know, she's going to give you what she's going to give you, but she's a OG housewife,
Starting point is 00:04:59 so people are invested in that. Weirdly enough, you guys are the returning cast members. You're the odd men out right now, odd women out. By the way, it was such a good episode for Sye, too. I mean, an unbelievable episode from Sye that she has now also solidified herself on that side of the cast that we want to see more of
Starting point is 00:05:18 because what she was on the first rendition of the reboot, not great, but maybe she was learning a couple of things. Her abrasive attitude towards things didn't really bode well for the show, but it could have just been an all-around cast problem. If this is the side that we're going to get, either picking a fight with Daisy at the house or going into things with her mom talking about her marriage,
Starting point is 00:05:38 yeah, I want more of that too. Jessel and Aaron, they just keep doing the same shit. And I'm just hoping that eventually it just kind of fixes itself. But go on. It's interesting you brought up the side part, because when I look at that scene, is she overproducing? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Is she, is this, authentic in so many ways, yes, but you can tell it's forced. Here's the thing. I 100% can get behind. Okay, this didn't work on the show for me, the first run, right? They want me to open up. The audience wants to hear more for me. She has gone so far the opposite direction.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I'm cool with it. What she did was take notes. She read the comments. She learned what we didn't like out of the first reboot, and she's applying it. So I think she's going to settle in and she's going to get more comfortable well, it's going to come off more authentic because I do think that scene was ever so slightly forced. I have no issue at all because she's literally taking on our issues with her head on.
Starting point is 00:06:37 You guys think I didn't share? Here's everything. You guys think that I was lying about my marriage. You're right. Here's everything. You didn't want to or I haven't talked about my mom enough and like what really went down there. Here, let me tell you about it. In the fourth episode.
Starting point is 00:06:49 So side to me, like we're good. I'm cool with her. You're totally right. We just have this island. I'm just going to keep saying it's private. Island with Jessel and Aaron on it. And it's becoming more and more evident because it kind of fucks up the flow of the show. I'm like when we have the newbies on the on camera or like going scene to scene with them.
Starting point is 00:07:10 We're seeing Martha Stewart. You guys all know what I'm talking about. A good episode of Housewives, a good season of Housewives. You're kind of in a flow. Like you just kind of watch. It's the episode that you think it's like 10 minutes in. It's actually 35 minutes. And you're like, oh, shit, it's over.
Starting point is 00:07:24 We're hitting that stride with the rest of the cast. I love that for us. And then we get to a Jessel Aaronstein. It's like, Screech, hard stop. Oh, God damn. Yeah. And look, there's no world in which the two of them aren't going to be central in some way. Their attitude towards each other, their dislike of each other is always going to take center stage because it's going to be the most polarizing elephant in the room.
Starting point is 00:07:49 There's a few elephants of the room, but that's going to be the most polarizing one because they almost force the rest of the cast to pick sides. That's just their personalities. Jessel's going to be offended by Aaron. She's going to turn to a couple of them and say, don't you think that's crazy or this is what I heard about Aaron and continue the carousel, if you will. And Aaron's going to look across the table and be like, hey, she said something about me.
Starting point is 00:08:09 I'm going to go back five times as hard at her, but I'm not being the asshole. And she is being in the asshole. And look, that's the balance that on Aaron's side, it's easily diagnosed. She's just going a little too far. Like she's just too much of an asshole. You're allowed to be an asshole.
Starting point is 00:08:24 I don't care. But she's too much. much of an asshole. And I like the imbalance of complaining that other people are talking about you, because that's kind of where we pick up anyway, right into that scene at Passover. She's talking about the fact that Haley was talking to the rest of the women about her and calling her bored. It's not as much the content as it is the fact that she was talking poorly about her to other people. That's all Aaron has ever done. And that's exactly why Aaron is on the hot seat right now for the Jessel thing and why people are kind of keeping an eye on her because they know this is what
Starting point is 00:08:57 you're going to do. And she even did it in the last episode. So the imbalance there doesn't make a ton of sense, but that's okay by me because it's a little delusional. It's just that she's too much of an asshole. She goes too far and then she smirks at you. It's like, no, this isn't playful anymore. You're being a downright asshole at this point.
Starting point is 00:09:13 The smirk is that's going to get under anybody's skin. You see her do it all the time. Like she says something shitty, watches the reaction. She's sitting there just like. Yeah, got you. She called Haley a homewrecker and then smirked her because she got upset about it. And then try to compare it to being called jam. Like, no.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Correct. Yeah. This is a different, totally different level that you took it to. And I'm not like pissed off about that. But it is one of those where it's like you got to recognize that, yes, jam, boring. That's it. Mm-hmm. Homewrecker ruined lives.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Who would get with a man with 8K, all of that stuff, what I will say. The conversation at the end made me more hopeful for Aaron because I think we need to somehow sever the ties of reboot number one. Remember, this is the re-reboot. So when I talk about the reboot, it's the first one. But I think we have to somehow sever those ties. I think Jessel and Aaron are still stuck on that. But I think that the end of this episode showed me that maybe, wishful thinking, but just maybe,
Starting point is 00:10:21 Aaron's going to be like, oh, there's a different way to do this. Much like Sai has kind of figured out on her own, there's a different way for me to be a housewife. Like the duo of Haley and Aaron for me, I even wrote in my notes, like, this is actually an interesting couple. I don't mind these two together. They're totally different, but there's something fun about it. It's I, it's Haley, honestly. Yeah, honestly. It's Haley.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Haley brings out the fun side even like theatrically if you will on the show but also within a friendship itself Haley's going to be fun enough and be quirky enough where it's going to bring the fun side out of sticks in the mud and that's kind of where it is where she's going to be complaining about other people doing things that she does but it's enough at the end where Haley's involved
Starting point is 00:11:08 and that's such a good person that's such a good castmate to have because we're always invested in that. It's so quirky, it's so weird. The bird watching scene was one of my favorite scenes that I've seen on Housewives in a housewives in a long time. And then it turns into an actually like sentimental sad scene talking about her past with her mom and her relationship with her mom. Like that's both.
Starting point is 00:11:27 You've got the whole cake there. And that's incredible by me. But I just think moving forward, we're going to have to have more discussions about Jessel and Aaron kind of getting out of the way and allowing everybody to get mixed into it. I agree. I think that's going to be the big sticking point. But as you said, we are already in the Passover lunch or dinner. And yeah, it's kind of hitting the fan because everyone at the table is saying that's way too far. Haley's having an actual visceral reaction to this.
Starting point is 00:11:56 This is clearly struck a nerve where she's like, I'm not over this. I can't believe you would bring this up and compare this to me calling you boring and making the joke that you're jam on a table. But the reaction of Haley, you lying ass snake of a bitch, and I'm a fucking mongoose. I'm not the one to fuck with. Get up while she's crying. Crying. Quits the show. leaves, goes outside,
Starting point is 00:12:20 Sai goes to reel her back in. That moment to me was just peak housewife. I was so excited because she's going outside crying, someone's chasing after. Meanwhile, the host of the dinner, Haley, whoa, whoa, wait, there's courses. Like the little things, like these are the moments that I'm like, oh my God, we're in it.
Starting point is 00:12:41 This is fucking awesome. It's the little chirping here and there. It's all authentic. Haley's outside sobbing. Sy's able to reel her back in. I say, come bad. She put this nice dinner together. Come on.
Starting point is 00:12:51 And Cy being the mediator, this was the first glimpse of me being like, oh, this is new. I kind of fuck with side being the mediator. This isn't bad. And she's able to bring Haley back in. And then you get to see the entire scene of her just sitting there silently crying while everyone else is talking about Passover. And Jessel, who claims to be this super cultured person and this super rich world. person doesn't know what matzabal soup is living in new york like there's jewish delis on every corner she thought it was a meat which she thought it was me how i don't know and also i could you
Starting point is 00:13:30 convinced me yeah and you could convince me if you haven't had it before that maybe you would think it was like tofu like all right it's one of those dishes where you're not supposed to have meat and it's a religious dish it's sort of like lent fridays in catholicism where you can't have any meat because said so, then you have to do this. I don't understand how she got meatball out of this whole thing. I think this one kind of struck a chord with me because I think that sometimes, especially in her confessionals, she acts like she doesn't know what's going on because she wants to say the funny things.
Starting point is 00:14:03 And I hate people like that. I can't stand when we get a housewife like that because like, no, there's just no way, especially with your husband being a foodie. That doesn't make any sense. That's just not going to go. It doesn't track. No, not at all. And I would like to reiterate, like Mata ball soup.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Massifan, I think it's one of the most comforting dishes in the world. But anyway, the scene continues to break down. And, you know, Carol's trying. This was great, too, because we kind of pivot. Carol jumps in while Haley's sadly crying. And she's like, look, I just want to clear the air. All right, I know I left a little bit early. And we get into the Caroline Bissette thing.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Now, as she's talking about it, there is. some validity to it because she says she was my best friend she was my cousin it's a very painful summer the more she gets into it and we already caught shit for saying what we did so band-aids already off i'm going to keep going she was not an aesthetic and caroline beset summer is not good meanwhile errand's sitting there smirking ear to ear jessels trying to now and we all agree the way that she went about this the first time was nuts that was bad and that you do owe her an apology. We're all on the same page there. But as Jessel's trying to
Starting point is 00:15:20 put a good spin on it, like, no, yeah, you know, I just feel like she's become I'm assuming that she's become an idol. She's become this icon. Like, people look up to her. They love her style. It's a compliment for all of this. Apparently Carol's the only person allowed to know and like
Starting point is 00:15:36 Carolyn Vesette. Because she's like, I don't want to think about it. And I want to be clear about it. This gave thing bad vibes. And she's like, what did she say? Where is it? Oh, this was where she lost me entirely. Nobody knew Carolyn.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Okay. You're the only person on earth that knew Carolyn disset. Like what, come on. Not to mention. And I'm going to say this every time we talk about this. That might be mean. You talked about this all the time. You made a book about it.
Starting point is 00:16:09 You went on interviews about this. I know it's personal. I know it's close to the heart. I get that. And I'm sure it hurts a little bit. But you can't profit. off of it and they're getting mad when other people talk about it and then take it a step 10 steps further and say never mentioned the Kennedy curse cut dude what well well well that that one that one that
Starting point is 00:16:28 what i that one i'm actually okay with that one i'm actually like i mean i can talk about it i'm not close that's kind of i guess that's what i'm saying it's like it's become a discussion for like the public it's and it's something that we touched on to where the general public of america don't know history. So when they see something play out and it dramatized, you know, somewhat nonfiction, kind of fictiony show on Netflix. They're like, oh my God, I have to know more about this. Oh my God. Can you imagine? Whoa, what happened to all the Kennedys? It's like, Jesus Christ. Like, where were you guys in history class? I guess not paying attention. That's what's going on right now. But I think in so many ways, I think the best way I can describe it and what I'm watching right now,
Starting point is 00:17:10 I think, yes, you can say that Carol is gatekeeping. Carolyn. That's the big problem here. I don't see this conversation going any differently had Jessel not mentioned the Kennedy curse. If Jessel had gone about it the appropriate way at that dinner or at that lunch, whatever it was, the brunch that we had for Sye, if Jessel had gone about it and said, look, I think that after everybody's just like watching this show and reading more about it and reading into her life, I think she's very inspirational. I think she's becoming an icon. And I do think that that has a big impact on the, on the fashion world.
Starting point is 00:17:45 And I do think people are probably taking keys from her. And I think that's pretty cool. If that's what Jessel said, I still think Carol would have said the same thing. I don't think the world would be, I just don't think this discussion would go any differently. I still think that Carol would be gatekeeping Carolyn. And that's okay to an extent,
Starting point is 00:18:02 because I do think it's a little shell shocking to be like, okay, now everybody's talking and discussing my, my best friend who passed away. That's kind of upsetting to me. I think everybody understands that on the level that should be, the appropriate level. But I think that even if they're being so like reverent in their discussions about Carolyn, Carol's still going to turn her nose up at it and be like, I don't want to talk about this because that's my best friend.
Starting point is 00:18:26 That's not your friend. You didn't know her. I knew her. And I think that that's incredibly unfair. So I don't really think the discussion goes any differently. But I do think when it comes to discussing the Kennedy curse at the table, that's where it's like, okay, that's a little disrespectful. You shouldn't be talking about that in front of Carol. you can use different words
Starting point is 00:18:42 and maybe kind of put your foot in your mouth talking about Carolyn and her fashion and saying that we've inspired an entire line because that is what Jessel's trying to do at her job right now. Yeah, you can try to do those things and then get a little upset, whatever, but don't bring all the dead Kennedys into this.
Starting point is 00:18:58 That's a little fucked up. Let me reiterate. In my head, she was saying you can never talk about this. Not don't talk about it to me. I get it and don't bring it up in front of Carol. I agree with that. That I'm on the same page.
Starting point is 00:19:14 It felt like to me she said, you're not allowed to talk about the Kennedy curse where it's like, well, ever? It's kind of seems like a thing. It's a thing that people have discussed for a long time. So that was the implication that I got was like, this is off limits forever regardless of the situation.
Starting point is 00:19:30 I agree. There's no reason to beat a dead horse and keep throwing all the shit at Carol because she's going to have a reaction. Understandably, she knew all these people. I'm really trying to not be insensitive here. At the same time, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Like, you can't talk about it for 20 years and then come on the show fresh off of love story where you know it's going to be a talking point and then get mad when people talk about. Again, Jessel's an idiot the way she went about it. But it does need to be discussed. I think it's giving she's mad that it's popular. Like,
Starting point is 00:20:03 I think that's what it is. Like, even though she's kind of profited off of it and like a byproduct of the show is, people reading and buying her book that she published a long time ago. I think that she's, I don't even want to go as far to say that she's jealous that that is the thing that's making
Starting point is 00:20:18 the most money and not her product. I think she's just mad because everybody now knows everything about it and everybody's talking about it. Oh, she's not the foremost expert. Like, I would get it if she watched the show and said there's so many factual inconsistencies
Starting point is 00:20:34 and just incorrect data and incorrect facts from this show that people were running with that just simply didn't happen. And I'm upset about that. And now people are talking about it as if it's fact. I would get that. But she doesn't watch the show. She doesn't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:20:49 It's a good point. And I'm sure, you know, people are being mad at me for that. But again, I, like I, I empathize with her.
Starting point is 00:20:56 I'm not saying be rude and talk about the people she lost. I'm just saying, like, this is a topic that's being discussed nationwide. Anyway, let's keep trucking in this scene. We're still at dinner. a lot happened here and then we get to Daisy's popcorn ceilings.
Starting point is 00:21:10 This took a very weird fun turn for me because the popcorn ceilings come up. Carol chimes in like, oh, God, you called it that and like, yeah, they're making fun of my apartment. Jessel does not do a good job when she's called out of like waylaying it or shifting focus because she's like, no, we were laughing together. It's like, oh yeah, I love when you come into my apartment and make fun of it. I laugh at my apartment too in my situation. but as as everything's happening side tries to help and she's like oh you feel like you're being judged
Starting point is 00:21:43 because we live different and then she goes after sigh like wait yeah you guys are on the same team I thought what's happening here why are you going after sigh you should be going after jessler or Erica and then Erica's responses we can fix the popcorn sitting and it's like no dude say they look fine I thought that was funny it was very funny I thought that was funny yeah also just the idea of Erica
Starting point is 00:22:07 a billionaire getting up and fixing the popcorn ceilings and not understanding how that works. I mean, popcorn ceilings are also like a health hazard. Are they not? Yeah. No, not all of them. No,
Starting point is 00:22:20 but they thought that most of them were. I would imagine in New York City, if they've been there for a long time, they're probably asbestos. Let's check it. That's just what comes to my mind. So I liked Erica's comment because that's just goofy and weird and I like imagining a billionaire doing that.
Starting point is 00:22:36 But also, This sigh, Daisy breakdown, to me anyway, they've known each other for a very long time. They're actual friends. This was like, you're getting on my nerves right now. I'm already kind of high strung right now trying to go after these two about the popcorn ceiling thing. And now you're not immediately taking my side and defending me. You're asking me deeper questions about whether or not I'm jealous essentially of how other people live compared to how I live. And once we get into the rent control department, I think that's where everything just goes away.
Starting point is 00:23:05 where it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, how much do you pay a fucking $300 a month in New York? And this, I, yeah, it's a hyperbolic, I imagined. Yeah, it's probably, but even still, I mean, that might as well be $300, especially living there. So there's no problem there, but everybody gets on the same page, like, oh, my God, this is the best, until people start to judge side. Like, I mean, what would you do? You'd be upset about that even in a rent control department because you wouldn't have your amenities. Whoa, I just got those amenities. and I work really hard for those amenities.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Like that was very funny to be too because we turn on a dime. And this is again, this is, I actually think that we need to have more housewife hosted dinner parties because doing dinner parties out anymore. It's too public. It's too messy. You can only film in so many different restaurants.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Make them do it at home. Make them a host parties. At a parent's house. Yeah, at a parent's house. Obviously, you know, in a parent's house. That's the only way to do it. But I don't want the extra people there. I don't want to like go around the room be like, oh my God, that's that that's so and so.
Starting point is 00:24:06 There's a hundred extra people there and make them all sit together in a home where they have to actually discuss the things that are going on. That might be the easiest and most efficient way to do it. But I loved that we just turn, boom, boom, boom. We're starting off with Aaron and we're starting off with Aaron and, oh my God, right? Haley, thank you. I keep wanting to say Daisy. We're starting off with Aaron and Haley going from that over to here, over to here.
Starting point is 00:24:31 and now we're talking about sigh and all the things that she's been working on. And we know the backstory because now she's about to divorce her husband. So there's so much more at stake here. So it's very funny to watch this all play out and we're like, holy shit. How did we get to the point where now sigh is offended because now she's feeling judged for liking more expensive things that she's been working for? This is a very weird turn that we've made. But we covered all the bases and we did it in a way where it wasn't like, wait, what are we talking about? We were able to, this is what I was talking about,
Starting point is 00:25:02 the kind of the flow. That scene, that whole scene was just kind of like, ooh, I was enjoying the entire thing. And then when it ends, perfect ending, it's just kind of silent after this weird pivot from Daisy going after Cy. And Erica Toast's. Thank you, Daisy.

Starting point is 00:29:27 There are vampires out there. beside you in the darkness, but what people don't understand is that they're not monsters. They're just going to work, living there on lives. But we are a dying breed. Those who came before me, they are fearful and are not content to sit back and just disappear. And they'll do anything to fix that. From the creators of Parkdale Haunt comes Woodbine, a podcast about monsters, dreams, and changes, those you want, and those you never saw coming.
Starting point is 00:29:53 The final season begins this fall, distributed by Realm. Awesome. By the way, guys, come to my private island. Carol, you probably shouldn't come, but everybody else, come to my private island. Let's go to the British Virgin Islands and have a great time, which I'm very much looking forward to. Jessel and Pavit have already been there. So I'm curious to see how that's going to play, because if I had to guess, seeing what we've seen thus far, is Jessel going to be that person that's been somewhere before and then becomes like the Jen Shaw?
Starting point is 00:30:25 Remember when we did the Angie Kay's. first appearance on Salt Lake. We were at Angie Kay's rental or whatever, and she was hosting the trip, and Jen Shaw took it over. I think we might see that happen. We're going to see Jessel walking around the compounds, and that's how I'm going to refer to it until I'm going to otherwise walking around the compounds. And Jessel will be showing the other women where they're going to stay.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Like, that's absolutely what we're going to do. I don't know what we're going to get from Erica. I think that she's probably nice enough where she'll just let it slide, but we're going to have commentary about how Jessel is doing exactly that. That's already what I'm expecting. Yeah, that's kind of what I thought too. But moving right along, we got Carol and Eric, a business partner, I believe, of some sort. And I was confused.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Are they part of this off-Broadway group or do they support this off-Broadway group? Is Eric part of the group? And she's a supporter of the group? I would imagine Eric is part of it. And then Carol is supporting, but also marketing it and finance. Careful. careful. This is a tough episode to get there.
Starting point is 00:31:36 That's really hard. I'd try it over here. No, but that, yeah, that's the breakdown that I thought. I don't know. I was a little turned off by Carol calling Erica and being like, I hope she's coming so I can get them.
Starting point is 00:31:48 I got to get them in pockets. I'm cool with us. I'm okay with it. Like, fundamentally, I get it and I'm cool with it. But then when you call her and she says that she got a call from Anne Hathaway and she was invite her and her husband were invited to go to the devil
Starting point is 00:32:03 where's proud of two opening night. Yeah. Don't be upset that she's not going to go. Well, it's not like Merrill called you. It's like, okay, well,
Starting point is 00:32:13 that one's kind of funny. But at the same time, like you're not upset that Eric is not going to be there. You're upset that Erica and her money aren't going to be there. I don't know how that one's going to bode when we see that play out. I don't think it's going to land well, but I'm fine with it. I was fine with this whole scene.
Starting point is 00:32:27 I know you were too. I know that's not what you're saying. It was very funny to watch it shake out. Like the disappointment both on her face and in her voice and trying to guilt Erica. She was leading against the traffic pole. I know. Skipping her coffee begrudgingly. Like, are you got to be kidding me?
Starting point is 00:32:46 You're going to that shit show instead of the new group gala. What the hell is the matter with you? It was hysterical. And she was genuinely upset. Anne Hathaway invited her. Anne Hathaway. And sure, Merrill Streep is a legend. Ed Hathaway's going to be there someday.
Starting point is 00:33:06 It was just, it was so funny to watch the disdain. Oh, you mean I don't have access to your pockets? Fuck you. It was pretty good. No, I got to, what did she? She says she has to figure out the new seating chart. Now I got to figure out where everybody's going to sit now because you can't come. It's like that's not what you're mad about.
Starting point is 00:33:25 You're making it look like you're upset about a seating chart. This isn't a wedding. I wonder if Erica's rich enough. There is a world in which she's rich enough that she sees that scene and goes, oh, I'm sorry, I missed it. Here's a check. Yeah. I hope she gets bad, but there's a world where she just writes it off.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Like, oh, yeah, my bad. Of course you need money here. Everything we've seen from Erica so far and her husband, there's a world in which she did already do that, even right after that conversation where she just calls her husband afterwards. She's like, hey, Encore, we need to just send like, I don't know. What are you next enough? 10, 10 grand, whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Just send 10 grand to this agency and they'll figure it out for us. I think given what people were bidding, I would imagine she was hoping like 50 or more because people there were spending like 25. So if she was bummed out that deep pockets, Erica wasn't there. I'd imagine she was hoping for a pretty penny. That's the old the fundraiser thing too, where if she brings Erica along,
Starting point is 00:34:20 Erica spends a lot of money, somehow Carol's the one who's uplifted higher into the organization. Correct. You know how that works. Yeah, I brought her. This is my money, essentially. You're welcome. Thank me.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Yep. But Cy and her aunt get together. And this is just an entire debrief. This is, okay, like I said at the beginning, you guys want more. You want to know what's going on with me. Here's fucking everything. Here's what's going on with David and I. Here's why, where we are, where we are.
Starting point is 00:34:51 She talks about there was a date night. You know, it's already been kind of a tough go for them. It's her birthday. swanky restaurant awesome evening go home amazing sex things are clicking
Starting point is 00:35:04 we're having a good time check the credit card bill and this motherfucker paid for the dinner with her card yeah dude come on
Starting point is 00:35:13 like you couldn't I just put it on like overdraft your account for that one man like come on this was tie and look I know what you said
Starting point is 00:35:24 in the beginning that you think I didn't find this force at all I found this actually 100% genuine. I wouldn't make it clear. I didn't have an issue with the forced. No, you didn't. But I think I'm, there's a chance that obviously I felt victim to the, you know what? Everything I was doing on the reboot originally, complete bullshit. I was lying about my marriage. There was no good times there. We weren't as strong as I made it out to be.
Starting point is 00:35:46 We're actually here. And the whole 180 into this conversation may have got me. But I didn't really see much force here. I thought that this was probably, and again, we've been struggling with, a lot of housewives and divorces. And look, it was always a thing that was running rampant in the housewife world. But I think we're focusing so much on it recently. And there's so much weird divorces where it's like, yeah, you know, I didn't really want to do that or I need to move on to the next thing. And then they act kind of weird. And we don't really get the whole story.
Starting point is 00:36:16 And there's just so much inconsistency when it comes to this that this one seems so genuine. And I actually felt so bad for Sy when she's walking through all of this talking to Iran about it. And the implications that happened with her mom too. And that was sort of one of the final straws, or at least more of like an awakening for her coming back from that trip. And her mom was with the kids and opens the door. Mom's absolutely drunk once again. And David didn't check in. Like no check in, no sit down.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Like, wow, that must have been really hard. It's almost like he doesn't care. We don't have those connections. We don't have that, that deeper connection that we can actually talk on it. And he can find out how I'm feeling. The whole thing was so sad, like unbelievably sad. Like, the absolute collapse of a marriage and not. even really putting any emphasis on what she talked about in the reboot before, more so on just
Starting point is 00:37:02 like where she is now. It kind of just gives you an idea of where she is with everything, what her psyche is and where she is in her life right now. And I thought it was, it was very opening and very authentic to me. I just very, very sad. It was. And, you know, when she gets into the stuff with her mom, I thought it was super sad, super hard to talk about. So credit to her for being strong enough to open up about how everything went down. And, you know, she went on a trip. with her family and mom, I think, was home dog sitting for them in their place. Or no, she stayed there. My apologies.
Starting point is 00:37:35 She lived with them at the time. This is what the last straw was. They get back. She was very intoxicated, had drawn on the walls, like was her pants were down. Like, it was just a bad situation. And in that moment, side to side of like, you can't be here. You can't live here. You have to go somewhere else, go to a shelter or something like that.
Starting point is 00:37:54 And because of that, she takes responsibility. or feels responsibility for this. Now, that is not true at all. Or that's 100% correct. Like, this isn't your fault. It wasn't. Like, you have to protect your four walls. You can only help somebody so much until they need to go help themselves.
Starting point is 00:38:11 And if they're going to damage your life in the process, then you are well within your right to sever ties, set boundaries, and make sure that your life isn't overly impacted by their decisions. So what she did actually takes a lot of strength, takes a lot of courage to cut somebody off as that close to you, and put your family first and your kids first. So I'd tip my cap to her. It's actually one of the hardest things
Starting point is 00:38:32 that you could possibly do, but it was the correct decision. Hindsight obviously has to be difficult because three months later, her mom passed away, but that was not her fault. And she should bear no responsibility. And she did make the right decision. But I can't imagine how that eats up at her.
Starting point is 00:38:48 And you know, this moment I thought was 100% authentic. I thought that, I'm very clear. I thought the David stuff was, oh, for this, I did not. And they have a nice moment. I think that this was something that needed to happen. It seems like they both needed this moment of just here's how it went down. Her aunt didn't know the entire story. So they're able to have this moment together crying on screen.
Starting point is 00:39:08 And hopefully it's a it's a step forward for Si to be able to kind of let go a little bit and not feel like no response for this whole thing. I thought this was like I said, the beginning may be a little bit forced with the David stuff. All in all, I thought this was a great scene. I thought this was a side of side. that we've all wanted to see. It was more about her life. We weren't getting this facade that she was trying to trick us into believing that
Starting point is 00:39:34 she's living this perfect life. This to me absolved sigh. Like you said in the beginning, all good. You go about your business. Let's see what you got this season. I'm no longer holding you to the reboot. You have clean slate. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Jess Linera still got work to do. Sye, she's good in my book. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. That's that. that was for sure my takeaway from all of that. But let's get to Povett and Jessel. And this is just a quick check and to see what they're up to.
Starting point is 00:40:06 And Povit is pivoted. He was in the corporate world. Now he's going the influencer route. He wants to be a foodie. He wants to go do his reviews. How many followers does he have? I have no idea. I didn't look it up.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I find it very funny that you start up. We're just checking it with Povett and Jessel, see what they're up to. I don't know what they're up to. I couldn't tell you. I have no idea what I'm doing. He's talking about if he's being an influencer, I mean, he should just be being an influencer.
Starting point is 00:40:37 I mean, I guess coming up with a name for his channel, his YouTube channel or Twitch stream or whatever, but it sounds more like, I don't know. It's just, they're always weird. Their relationship is always very weird.
Starting point is 00:40:50 They're very strange. They're very strange. On Instagram, by the way. Good for him. I mean, look, That's what's going to work for him. So I don't want to spend too much time on this anymore if I'm the producers of this show because there's not much of a story here.
Starting point is 00:41:06 And I also don't want to go down the road where Jessel starts to question it. And then other people start to question it because we've done that before. It didn't work. It was really boring. Let's not do it again. I think it's funny. Like I want more Pabbitt, but I want less talking about what Pabbitt's doing for money.
Starting point is 00:41:22 Like it seems like Jessel's doing well enough for herself. Yes, I do want them to live in a world where they're both supplying as much money as possible and as much revenue as possible for their family. But I don't really want to spend too much time on it because we don't get anywhere. This was the weirdest conversation. Well, you let me know I am a bit of a whiz in the marketing world. Uh-huh. Yep, you got it. I can't tell you what the name of the thing is right now.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Okay. All right. Cool. Good check in. We don't know where we are. Like I got, I actually know less than I did before this scene. I think that's one thing that, you know, if sigh. is setting the standard here,
Starting point is 00:41:59 we need more out of Jessel. We need to open up. You got to tell us what's going on. And to further what people are saying on Twitter, just about the, she wants to act like the rich one in the group kind of turn her nose up of people. You're in a scene saying pretty much,
Starting point is 00:42:15 like, yeah, it's a little scary right now because he's not working. So I'm supplying for both of us, which is good for you that you can provide for your family in New York City. But to then act like you have all of the money in the world is an interesting. interesting choice.
Starting point is 00:42:28 But you know what's neither here nor they are. We haven't, aside from a one-off comment about making lunches, we really haven't talked about their kids at all. Oh, yeah. Maybe they're leaving them out. Maybe they're leaving them out. Look, that's their prerogative. I do not care about that.
Starting point is 00:42:44 But that kind of goes to show you, like, we're not doing anything on the jessel front in terms of her personal life. Like, we see Pavit a couple times. We talk about her wanting to do Carolyn to set summer at work. That's it. Everything else is really just like, what are you up to within the group? So kind of weird, something I'm going to keep an eye on. I could say the same thing about Aaron.
Starting point is 00:43:04 All we have really is Hampton's House pipe explosion. That's it. Hampton's House insurance fraud, question mark? Potentially. Allegedly. That's the thing. Yeah, who knows? Out of the three returning, only one has given us things to discuss.
Starting point is 00:43:19 The other two, it's like, what's happening with you guys other than Aaron, you making really mean jokes at people's expense and then smirking at them? which is not landing either. So it's just further, because you have newbies performing as well as they are, it is staunchly highlighting Jessel and Aaron. Because every scene with everybody else, because we get from here to Haley and Lauren, mom,
Starting point is 00:43:44 I can only assume queer bird watching. I think they're trying to find queer birds. That is what they're doing. Yeah. She's awesome. Still know if birds can be queer. We don't know yet. They're going to let us know.
Starting point is 00:43:54 I think that's what they're trying to figure out. It's a science experiment. But this whole thing, this whole scene was amazing. This was so goddamn funny the entire time. Cy and her aunt was moving. It was touching. It was in depth. The scene before that,
Starting point is 00:44:11 Carol and Eric on the street, that was really funny. The dinner had everything. And then you get to this, Pavit and Jessel, hard stop back into Haley and Lauren. It's like, oh,
Starting point is 00:44:22 that's my whole point of the flow of the show is being disrupted by random scenes where it's like, what are we doing here? And then we get back to Haley, I'm like, okay, we're good, we're good, we're good. And this was a great scene. It's Haley talking about the trauma of her past, the whole John and Kate Plus 8 thing
Starting point is 00:44:38 and her involvement in the whole thing, how it messed her up. More importantly, the lack of support from Mother Lauren. I did not think that this scene was going to go the way that it did. It started off obviously very funny. And I like the effects to doing the binocular effect on the show while the two of them are just kind of popping up and down.
Starting point is 00:44:57 And that's genuine. I truly believe that's genuine. I really thought this would have been a conversation where all of a sudden, Haley's trying to get ahead of it. This is my side of the story. And we talked about that actually earlier with Sai. When Sai was talking to Haley outside of the house, she was going in on the fact of everything was very much in the public eye.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Everything was very much this, that, whatever. But nobody really heard your side of the story. I thought this was going to be that. seen. I thought it was just going to be her explaining everything away, talking about all of the details from her end of the street that didn't really get published because it wasn't gossipy enough. Instead, what it was is you weren't fucking there for me. You thought that this was all about you. And you see her mom still struggling with the fact of like, all right, and we've seen this before from moms on shows. We're just going to move on. Like, I really want to just get into the world where we can
Starting point is 00:45:48 just move on from all of this. It's like, no, no, no, no. Haley's still struggling with all of this. Why do you think that she's going to her therapist constantly? Why do you think that her therapist? is recommending doing queer bird watching so that she can try to develop more friendships with people that don't know who she is to try to get away from all of this. But until all of this is unpacked, there's not a whole lot that she can do on the relationship front with her own mother. And finding out her mom's role in all of this is brutal. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:46:13 And you can see, Haley's not really ready to just bring the hammer down like, fuck you, you weren't there for me. It's a very easy, I guess like an easy going way of. trying to get her mom to talk more about it. But her mom just isn't really interested. And she had such a big role to play in all of this from the start with her relationship with John moving into the fallout afterwards and not being there for Haley. So this was not the scene that I thought it was going to be.
Starting point is 00:46:41 But I think it gives you so much more, a better perspective for somebody who we already like in Haley, but a better perspective as why she is where she is and who she is at this point in time. Correct. And like you said, finding out that. mom was the one pushing the whole thing was tough to hear. And there is definitely going to be a deeper conversation. Given what we have gotten from mom, I'm not sure how that's going to land or if it's going to land
Starting point is 00:47:09 because I don't think that she seems to be like picking up on the nuances that he's trying to put down. But Haley is becoming a very enjoyable person on screen. I love the quirkiness. I love the openness and all that kind of stuff. but I agree. Like I had no idea that we were going to take this turn to go talk about their relationship. But it was very interesting.
Starting point is 00:47:30 But that takes us to Martha. What a scene. Just what a scene. She's sitting there. First of all, she wants the rocks. Bet me she has rocks like that now. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:47:44 That's the level of wealth we're talking. Look at those gigantic rocks that probably cost thousands of dollars. She has those rocks, by the way. Oh, yeah. You're right. Not just any rocks. She has those exact rocks. Probably because that's the kind of money that we're talking about here,
Starting point is 00:47:56 which is why it's fun to have her involved in this way. Because, yeah, she's kind of stuck up, but still kind of endearing. It's very strange to watch because she's being rude, but it just, I don't know, it's fun. She's literally at a kid. Hey, come here. You want some ice water? She looks thirsty. First of all, you're questioning whether or not the mother is keeping her son hydrated.
Starting point is 00:48:21 And her son, David. Oh, Stephen, Stephen. Hi, Stephen. Here you go. There's some wah-wah for you. Anyway, even the publicist, this publicist, my God. Star. Unbelievable, Daisy gets there.
Starting point is 00:48:37 And, you know, Martha makes the joke like, oh, you're sleeping with him for a disc guy. I never know what you're up to. Just say, we're adding some smoke. That's all I'm going to say about that whole thing. We're going through the calendar. Hey, I'm here this week. I need you this day, need you this day, daily show. that not the only show,
Starting point is 00:48:52 today show, this, that the other, need you for this, this and this. I remember I got a trip. Remember where your bread is buttered. Publicist says that.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Not Martha, publicist. I was like, whoa. I can't imagine somebody talking like that to me. And she's like, yep, I like first class.
Starting point is 00:49:11 You're so right. I like first class. Yeah. It says so many things about Daisy in the life that she's led because of Martha and her relationship to Martha. and look, I don't think that's going to stop.
Starting point is 00:49:23 I would imagine the way that this even came about with Housewives in New York. She probably ran it past Martha. Like, absolutely ran it past Martha. And Martha said, yeah, go for it. Not only that, I'll do you one better. I'll be in any scene that you want me to be. You want to hang out? Do you want to go to lunch and talk about her schedule together?
Starting point is 00:49:39 We'll film that. I don't really care. Let's go ahead and do that. I'm going to give you some shit for not being there, even though deep down, I know you're going to have to do things because I've seen the Housewives before. You're going to have to go on trips. But I'm going to give you shit for it. And I'm going to make sure that you know where your bread is butter.
Starting point is 00:49:52 And I'm going to do that right now in this scene. Like it was so perfect. It's exactly what you want because you don't want the whole like, I'm really close with Martha and I do this and that and whatever. No, I want to see that she actually works a lot. I want to see that she has to be there with Martha all the time at her beck and call. Because it does solidify what we already talked about before. Like, yeah, she's not home a lot.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Yeah, she looks at the camera, the monitors or whatever and talks to her child through those. People have problems with that or people don't have problems with that. who cares. At the end of the day, I want to see that it's authentic. I want to see that all of these things that she's been talking about with Martha are real and her life is real. So yeah, you kind of get again a lot different from the conversation that we just had with, with Haley and her mom. Now we move on to Daisy. It's like, oh, no. Yeah, no, now I fully understand what you're talking about. Now I fully understand the rent control department, the popcorn ceilings, your relationship with Eugene, going on trips with Eugene versus going on trips with Martha.
Starting point is 00:50:46 All of it makes a ton of sense. And it gets accomplished in such a quick sense. seen. It's so great. It makes everything else makes sense. This is why your marriage is struggling. You want to live this life that you get a taste of every so often, but you are currently living this life. And I think you blame Eugene for that, which is a whole different podcast for a different day. But this is what I want to see because it's telling me that this friendship is circumstantial. You help me. You work for me. Therefore, we have this rapport, this ha ha, back and forth,
Starting point is 00:51:22 I'm going to take you places, I'm going to show you the high life. But if you don't come to work, go fuck yourself. That's what this scene told me. And like, in the real world, no, gross,
Starting point is 00:51:36 ew, icky. On housewives, more, please, more of this. Because it's so interesting to watch. And because it's Martha Stewart who has this charm about her,
Starting point is 00:51:48 if anyone else had said, you know, I think the ticket's like 40 to 60 grand for the World Cup final. Well, how do people go see it? They don't. That would have pissed me off if anyone else has said it. Martha said, I'm like, ha. Yeah, that's for you rich people. It just, it's different. It's entertaining.
Starting point is 00:52:08 It's weird. It does. It gives added value in all the scenes that we have with Daisy. Yep, sure does. But let's get to the new group gala. Haley, just full on silent treatment. with Aaron. Love it. Very funny. Aaron does not care for that. Like, that's the one thing. If you want to piss off Aaron, just ignore her and don't acknowledge her and she will send herself into a dizzy.
Starting point is 00:52:29 And she's like, you didn't say, what's happening? What's, I just don't get it. You don't. Really? Everyone else. Like that's, but that's the imbalance with Aaron that like, I can't quite decide if I like or dislike because I do like that she immediately calls out the fact. Like she could have easily just walked in and been like, oh yeah, Haley's going to ignore me and then do her normal Aaron thing and talk to other people about it. But she didn't do that. She brought it up to Haley immediately. I like that.
Starting point is 00:52:57 I don't like that she ignores the fact that that is why Haley's ignoring you. Like, don't do that. And also don't do the thing or maybe do the thing where you get mad at other people for doing the same shit that you do. Like I can't really get a grasp of whether or not I like it. I just think again, I think that her problem is she goes a little too far. sometimes she goes way too far. She has to figure that part of it out.
Starting point is 00:53:19 The rest of it I'm completely okay with because I'll be able to decide along the way and pick and choose if I like it or dislike it. But it gets us started on it right away. And that's another thing that you and I in particular don't like is when things are lingering. Because if we got through this whole thing and it was just Aaron on one side of the table
Starting point is 00:53:34 and Haley on the other side of the table and Aaron's talking to other people about Haley and Haley knows that she's talking about her and doesn't give a shit, we go nowhere. Nothing gets resolved or even comes close to being resolved or at least talked about. And then we have to just prolong it into another episode.
Starting point is 00:53:48 We have to go to the private islands and we're still talking about this thing hanging over our heads. Those are the things that I don't really like. So I like that Aaron's at least able to do this. And I love that Haley's able to have a conversation with her. She could have easily just kind of shoe-shoothed her away. But no, she'll sit down. She'll have a conversation at the wrong place and the wrong time. All of those things come together perfectly here.
Starting point is 00:54:09 They do. And to your point about Aaron, you don't know if you like it or dislike it. to me, this is the sticking point that I don't like with Aaron. And this is part of the reason where I'm like still not sure. She's, to me, her and Jessel are on the same exact page right now, like neck and neck, honestly. It's the way in which she goes about that. I don't have an issue with the, you know, flip flopping.
Starting point is 00:54:30 I don't have an issue with her doing something and then getting mad at other people doing the same thing. It's the way in which it's gone about because she's so indignant about it. She's like, oh, how dare you? It's like, wait, time out. You do this much worse than other people do. So I'm okay with her if she was more like, yeah. Like if she acknowledged that it's happening in some way, shape, or form or I don't know,
Starting point is 00:54:55 it just, it just is hard to differentiate. It's hard to understand what the goal is. And if here's here it is. Here we go. Personally, I like to see growth with our housewives. Whether good, bad or indifferent. I don't really care what the trajectory is. I want to see growth.
Starting point is 00:55:18 She's doing the same shit. And that's my issue. The reboot Aaron, like this to me feels like reboot Aaron. And we are on a different page now. This is the re-reboot, not the reboot. But let me spin it a little bit. Yes, I think she's doing at least what looks like the same shit.
Starting point is 00:55:34 The good thing that we have right now is she can do the same shit and it's going to be received differently because it's a better cast. This is by far in a way, even after four episodes, a much better cast than what they did in the reboot. So I'm okay because we're like, yes, you get the PTSD of watching the reboot and you see that Aaron's doing the same shit. But I'm not seeing Jenna Lyons bitch about it. I'm not seeing Jenna Lyons shut down. I'm not seeing Uber get upset about it. I'm not seeing Bryn go into a tizzy and then react at a weird way and then start talking shit.
Starting point is 00:56:09 I'm seeing them actually hash it out. and I'm seeing them take it to different people who could actually handle it and come up with a better plan. So with Erin, I think that's the thing. And actually, honestly, in this scene, it kind of situates itself in a good way for me. Because not only are we doing all of this and having it out in the funniest way possible in a charity auction where you shouldn't be talking. And there's women in front that are turning around like, hey, shut the fuck up. They told Jessel to shut up. I know.
Starting point is 00:56:37 They told Jessel to shut up. Not only did that happen. but also, and this flew really far out of the radar, Jessel and Carol are sitting over there getting along like best friends because this is going on. So you do get kind of the best of both worlds
Starting point is 00:56:51 where I'm looking at it like, okay, Haley and Erron, they have their own problems, they're clearly friends, which we weren't really sure about anyway, but they are clearly friends that they do have some history there. They're able to agree to move on and hopefully squash this in some way. But then Jessel and Carol, who were at odds
Starting point is 00:57:08 in the last party, and that could have lingered for a long time. They seem to be getting on because these two are being idiots. So I love to watch that all kind of be at play. And then all, of course, you know, in the place and setting, the setting and time that we're in and doing all of this couldn't be worse, but couldn't be better for us to watch it home. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:57:26 This to me was, and Deb was talking about it earlier. Like this is a classic housewife scene. Wrong place, wrong time. You're at a fancy event. People are spending big money and you're sitting there chirping at one another. quietly, but then randomly will escalate the volume of your voice. It's like, well, this is really, you get Carol chiming in. Like, this is really not the place.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Like, can you just shut the fuck up? Like, stop it. And then this random lady leans over, like, this is really disrespectful. This is for kids. This is for children. And it just keeps going and going. Not at all. They're unfazed, which I love.
Starting point is 00:58:02 And they keep going back and forth, shushing one another, getting mad at each other. Carol's chiming in. I love that before we sit down. And she's like, they start getting into it. She's like, hey, we need silence, auction, focus. Like, okay. And then they sit down. The funny thing to me was if you look around the room, they're not the only ones like
Starting point is 00:58:22 quietly talking amongst themselves. No. I love that we're making it a sticking point at this table. Like, hey, you shut your goddamn mouth. The table with like five cameras around to get every single angle of this conversation. And they're all miced up. Yeah. Totally the one that's going to be, have a big magnifying glass over it.
Starting point is 00:58:39 The funniest part is the way that they edited it. I love that they're pretty much using the auctioneer as the barometer of how the conversation is going. Because the conversation is, and it's a wrap. It's dinner time. It's bring out the food. It was great. But Carol checks in at the end.
Starting point is 00:58:58 And this is pretty much all we need. Hey, you guys, okay? We don't know. Do you love each other or hate each other? They don't know. Good. Great. That's where I want to be.
Starting point is 00:59:07 We don't have a dark cloud hanging over. us we don't have to have this conversation in a big way where it's just the two of you at the islands talking about it out on a dock we are moving on to the next setting we're moving on to the next scene with this kind of squashed and that's that's exactly where we want to be exactly look and let's get to some questions but it was a it was a good episode it was a solid strong episode on all fronts very very impressed but let's see what the audience thinks about it. Watch it like,
Starting point is 00:59:40 this show stinks. Yeah. Oh, no. No, it's not. Okay. Cool. First one up here from Myra isn't back. Wow.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Cy being the rational one, who saw this one coming? Not us, but pleasantly surprised. Mm-hmm. Let's see. From, oh, I like this username. From Roney T. Do you guys think that this is the end of
Starting point is 01:00:05 Aaron versus Haley? It's the end of this. iteration of Aaron versus Haley, but there will be more. There's going to be a lot more. It'll be different to and Haley. Yeah. It'll be a completely different content. Yeah. I think that they're going to enter a different
Starting point is 01:00:21 phase of arguing. You might see and I wrote this at the end, interesting duo and I said that earlier in the episode. Yeah. This could be and weirdly enough, this dinner might have cleaned up both issues that we're having. Carol and Jestel
Starting point is 01:00:37 is interesting to me. That's an interesting. I know. So that could be fun. It could be. If that's the result of this dinner that we love so much, great, awesome. Well, and that's the other thing too is Erin and Carol are friends, like actual friends. So if Jessel and Carol start to get along, will that rub Aaron the wrong way or will it sort of bring Aaron back into the fold and will they be friends? Like there's so many possibilities and I like that in the possibilities.
Starting point is 01:01:02 I love this, the duplicity of comments that we have doing on, or the duality of comments rather, from Josie Tiber. I'm liking Roney each and every week from Bell and Graff. When is this trash bag of a show going to be camping? Okay. So we don't know where we're going on this one. Obviously, we're more closer to Josie T. Bear with liking Rony each and every week. I agree with that one.
Starting point is 01:01:27 There's a lot more positive than negative in this in our questions. Bell and Graff, if you've actually watched the show, message us and tell us why you don't like it. If you still haven't even watched the show, then just, you know, watch it and then check back in. Yeah. That's a good way to put it. Let's see. Josie T. mayor.
Starting point is 01:01:48 Oh, you already asked one. Sorry. You're out. Jennifer 612. Do you think that Jessel is putting on an act in order to appeal to the audience and her popularity? Yes, that is what Jessel always does. That's what she's always does. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:01 I think that it's not working, but she's trying. She doesn't know what we want from her. And she's trying to, that's why you said it. And it's like nail on the head. Her confessionals, she's sitting there trying to say the wacky fun, whoa thing. Like that's her goal right now. And that's not what I want to see.
Starting point is 01:02:21 I want to see authentic Jessel who we've seen before. That's why I'm not like jumping on the, like there's a lot of people that are saying Jessel needs to be off the show, this, that. I don't think so. I've seen what she can do. But it's not what she's doing right now. Right now she's trying to be a character.
Starting point is 01:02:37 instead of just herself. Go on be yourself. Like you're good when you're yourself. That's all I want to say. Yeah. Full agree. This is just a terrible dilemma from Jacqueline Michelle Kress.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Who would you want is your mom, Muzzy or Haley's mom? Oh, God. Muzzy. Muzzy came around a little bit. Muzzy right now, yeah. I mean, Salt Lake's on tonight. But right now, Muzzy.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Muzzy's fine right now. I'm not going to say she's great. She's fine. She sat there and listened to Bronwyn, make sex jokes and didn't. have a panic attack. Lauren, Lauren seems like
Starting point is 01:03:11 she would still ask her daughter to go date John. Yeah, yeah. That's a good way to put it. Jay Bay the Hut 713 also said is Haley's mom, the new Muzzy. She is the old Muzzy actually.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Ah, nice. Nice to do. Muffy. What is how this is funny? Is it Muzzy? Muzzy. It's Muzzy. Muzzy.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Oh, fuck. What is that? Muffy. It's Muzzy. It's Muzzy. It's Muzzy. name is actually mussy i think people thought last year i was like joking when i would say muffie i really thought that was her name and to this day not positive i believe you that's fuzzy uh nev xo xo
Starting point is 01:03:48 i want to break this down a little bit because this is funny to me can you imagine kathy hilton and martha stewart getting together for lunch see what you're doing be a great scene but different different type of like aloof rich kathy is i don't know what's going on martha knows what's going on in her little world. That's the difference. So I don't know if that would hit as hard. It could. It could be great or it could be just a big like,
Starting point is 01:04:19 oh, they're kind of staring at each other, sipping water. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I mean, it's also goes to show you that it would be a very much different Kathy than what we're used to seeing on Beverly Hills
Starting point is 01:04:30 because that's not how she actually acts. Oh, wait. Actually, you're right. I don't think we'd see a lube. I don't know what's going on, Kathy. I think you'd see. Kathy is way more
Starting point is 01:04:39 Martha than what she puts out. Like it would be very similar personalities I would imagine. You would see actual elite Kathy Hilton not wanting to make a fool of herself in front of Martha Stewart. Correct.
Starting point is 01:04:50 Yeah. We'll end on this one from T-Gal now. Not a question, but loving this season so far. So we got more positive feedback from our questions than we have in the last couple of weeks. Still a couple in there.
Starting point is 01:05:03 But that's a good sign. That's a good sign moving forward for Roney. I look, I like where we're headed. I like where we're headed. I urge you all to remember what this is airing up against. Okay? So before you throw this under the bus because it's not the Roney of Old and Sonia's not on it and all of that stuff, you cannot with a straight face tell me that either O.C. or Beverly Hills are better than what we've gotten these first four episodes because you would be lying.
Starting point is 01:05:34 This is a better show. So that's all we need. And I'm happy. I'm very happy with what we got so far. Yep. That's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. All good here. That's our show. Brov pros are out of here. Now before you go hunting for something else to listen to, let me make it easy.
Starting point is 01:05:55 I'm Mike Carruthers, host of a podcast called Something You Should Know. And I speak with experts about fascinating things that affect your life, from human behavior, relationships, health, science, and everyday mysteries. We've been downloaded millions of times because every episode teaches you something you'll be talking about later. Open up something you should know and give it one episode. You might just find your new favorite podcast. The tutors were probably the most scandalous dynasty in British history. The season of vulgar history were spilling the tea on this messy, messed up family
Starting point is 01:06:32 and the people who had to live through it all. Anne Boleyn and the other wives of Henry VIII are known today from the musical Six, but who were they really? Did any of them actually want to marry him? Henry the Eight, the man who was literally the worst? How did two of them manage to escape with their heads intact? We'll also get into historical mysteries,
Starting point is 01:06:50 like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays? Who was the real Bloody Mary? What was happening elsewhere in the world while the tutors were trampling all over England, like the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke colony and the true story of the girl known is Pocahontas. I'll be joined by tutor historians, experts, and a few of my friends who really hate Henry the 8th to learn all about the tutors this season on vulgar history.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Because it's fucking Henry the 8th all day, every day. Listen to vulgar history wherever you get podcasts.
