Daddy? I'm just going to call my daddy. I actually haven't. I have not used the phrase, no. But I can see the appeal. I'm not anti it. I just you know met somebody who's into that i i can see the appeal uh but i would just it would never cross my mind to ever say the d word in the bedroom at any point like to say daddy i i often find it's like do you know that scene in the angelina jolie and brad pitt

and she like beats the shit out of someone and she's like who's your daddy now find it's like, do you know that scene in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt? And she like beats the shit out of someone and she's like, who's your daddy now? And it's really hot when she says it. Do you remember that scene I'm talking about? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I just remember, I mean, I wasn't really that young when I watched that film, but I'm like, why daddy? Why daddy? And I'd never really quite understood that relationship. But every time I say daddy, I just think of my dad.

And then I'm like, hmm. But the thing is, growing up, I didn't call my dad but it's up by it's the same shit isn't it like daddy daddy above it's like your dad it's like your dad now we're just going down semantics but I'm like I don't want to call you daddy because then I'm just thinking about my daddy while I'm having sex with you yeah yeah no I see that but daddy like daddy's got so many weird things like firstly I think of posh people who are like, daddy, darling, daddy. That's what I think of.

And so for me, I could totally imagine like re-envisaging a different like role in the bedroom. Cause it's like, I'm the posh girl. He's got a posh horse. I was thinking of a horse right now. I was like, I wonder what my horse would be called. Tarquin horse. I'm riding Tarquin and I fall over

and then I call daddy and I'm like, daddy. Oh my God. tarquin and i fall over and then i call daddy and i'm like daddy oh my god it's good to have a posh bash isn't it sometimes respectable respectable class war um so i think like i think the whole daddy thing is really interesting because we all kind of have this idea and it's like you know your relationship with your dad is supposed to inform relationships that you have with men in the future um and there's all these kind of like ideas about like attachment theory and stuff but i just similar to you do not think of my father in that sexual way in any way and have never been able to even think about him doing with my mom really i mean the whole that of course you're totally right like daddy has so many other connotations right it's symbolic of so much more than just your dad but to take the dad to take that whole

phrase daddy who's your daddy now into the bedroom I'm like I've already got a very complicated relationship with my father thank you I don't want to fuck this up even further so I am fine also for me the whole concept of daddy is like daddy's there to take care of you to save you to like pay for you it's like yeah i just um yeah no i can't and i think asian asian women are normally from patriarchal families which is something we obviously talk about a lot but i think that does affect the way that you see women because of these kind of structures where you sit under i'll sit under men and and i I know that my dad and men in my family treated the men of my generation completely different

to how I've been treated, completely. There was different standards, different rules. I had it much harder. I had much stricter rules imposed on me and also bigger judgments, I think, imposed on me when I strayed away from the kind of path. 100%. This entire series one and two of Bound Girls Do It Too are anecdotes of me not being able

to eat chicken and chips freely in Stepney Green, short jacket gay, just like constantly under the gaze. And also we talk about like really toxic anti-culture in like the Desi, in the Asian community, right? Which is totally true. But I often say like the women maintain it and the men are the gatekeepers they're the ones that think this shit up they're the ones that create these rules the women are just like stormtroopers i think one of the really interesting things about like daddy

issues is it's all about this idea that you're interested in older men or you think older men can like save you um do you think you have any kind of fantasy about an older man in your life no no i don't i was thinking about this actually i oh god if you look at like the types of men i fancy it's very broad and mind-ranging it can go from 23 year olds to my my age ceiling is about 55 um and and and they always fulfill a fantasy or a stereotype, like not to be a basic bitch, but like the plumber, the CEO, the coffee barista. You know what I mean? What's the biggest age gap that you shagged?

Like who's the, like when, at what age and what kind of was the biggest gap? 12 years. But I would, yeah, I would argue it's when I was 26. That is not a bigger difference as say when you're 20 and then you're shagging a 32-year-old. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The maturity levels are very, very different. By the time you hit your late 20s, then you're kind of, I don't know, maybe you're in a similar kind of boat, but I think it kind of depends on your maturity. What about you? I mean, I didn't have sex with him, but when I was like 24, I snogged someone who was 46 and I was like, you are so much older than me.

Like you are 22 years older than me. And I was only 24. I was 24. So I was like, you're almost my whole lifetime older than me. I just realized, I think I was an accidental sugar baby. So I used to work in Harrods and this baller with a comb over, literally disgusting. This baller guy with a comb over, literally disgusting.

This baller guy with a comb over, like absolute millionaire, would take me out for dinner and he clearly wanted sex and I sort of denied it, denied it, denied it

and then he'd take me out to dinner to like baller like places in Mayfair and then one time he touched my face and I was like, yeah, this is,

I need to get out of this. He wants to have sex. I can't have sex with this guy. He's like, and he was definitely, I want to say he was in his sixties. That's a big gap. I mean, I did have sex with this guy, but I look back now and I'm like, was it no strings attached? Would it have been complicated? Would it have been difficult? Because I actually liked him. I didn't fancy him. I sort of respected him almost. My problem is I'm such a narcissist narcissist i genuinely think that if this guy was hot uh or attractive or had chat i probably would have banged him but because he had a comb over that

sounds awful i just i could i could not do it so it wasn't even the age thing it was nothing to do with age actually it was just um he looked awful and he had a comb over uh so before we move on i just want to ask you something i just want to run something past you do you think that we should um do you think that we should try daddy in the bedroom? I don't know. Well, I mean, I could potentially use it because my partner is eight years older than me. He could potentially be a daddy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

What about you? What's your age difference? Oh, a year. Oh, right. Like, yeah. I just, I don't know how it would go down like who's your dad now like i don't know at what point at what position i love that your idea of using daddy in the bedroom is not you're using it on them you're you're saying that you're the

daddy that's just the best who's your daddy now oh i'm always the daddy i'm the fuck oh i see what you're saying you're like they should be saying it to me oh no I'm saying it to them wow okay fine um how um okay if if my partner suddenly came out with who's your daddy and I was riding him I would find that hugely problematic just leave the relatives behind I already married one you know what I mean like whenever my whenever my partner wants to bring me back down to earth he's like you had sex with your first cousin and i'm like oh my god that's literally disgusting and it's like it shuts me up immediately but i think asians like because we have such close ties within our families and they're such integral parts of

our lives and i think a lot of us have really complicated relationships with all of our family members so you know announcing your father's name in the bedroom is like it's just gonna be the hardest thing of all the cousins and asian friends i have most of them have daddy issues bar a few and because of that no one i mean it's something that might not admit to me anyway but none of them necessarily are that way inclined to take daddy into the bedroom do you know what i mean it's like we all have such complicated relationships with our fathers anyway why then start in the bedroom it's just an odd it's just an odd place to start really like my dad's like in his 70s but i've never had a good relationship with him it's always been really quite tense and quite difficult and a lot of the things and the decisions i've

made in my life are probably to rebel against some of his patriarchal ways um and I think he knows it now so he's like I'm not going to say anything more because I can't push her over the edge anymore um and I think like I have really complicated relationship with my dad and I like the idea of that psychologically affecting my relationship now really it's like it's like I'm about to come I start saying you start saying who's your daddy no one's fucking coming I'm not I'm crying you come. I start saying, you start saying, who's your daddy? No one's fucking coming. I'm not. I'm crying. I'm crying.

If you have a complicated relationship with your father, but yet are okay with being, you know, having the daddy chat in the bedroom, then that's quite an interesting paradox, isn't it? I think it's, it's got to be disassociative from your actual father, right? No one who's actually saying like, oh, daddy in the bedroom is thinking, oh, of my, my dad. No one's actually thinking that. People are trying to like fantasize about some other idea of what a dad should be,

of this kind of idealized daddy. You know, the daddy who does take care of you the daddy who lets you do what you want the daddy who gets you everything like the kind of sex version of daddy is way better than my dad and in pornography obviously it's used as a kind of um forbidden fruit thing right all the videos are like step dada seeing my step dada in a different way i don't know why i'm doing that accent i don't know where this porn act is from but like seeing my step daughter in a different way. I don't know why I'm doing that accent. I don't know where this porn actress is from. But like seeing your stepdaughter in a different light and thinking that, you know, that you want to do that. Like, that is a thing.

It's like older men dominating younger women is our life. It's like... And it's what we do as a society. We totally infantilize young girls and like teenage girls. The whole stepdaughter thing is like, daddy's taking care of you. Daddy's going to buy you a car. Do you like this?

Oh, no, no, no. I'm not up for that life. Yeah. And, you know, I know all families are complicated and everyone probably feels like they have some kind of other complications that, you know, are hard to talk about and are quite stressful sometimes. But my experience of living in the UK, I always felt like I knew loads of white friends

who had very perfect families. And I'm talking like picture perfect, white picket fence perfect. I'd be like, sorry, your dad just like said congratulations, called you a star because of your A-level results. And I just, I'm sorry, he just hugged you and held you. It's like, I just would never get that kind of treatment, nothing. And I'd often like look at people's dads and get jealous. And if I ever see, even even now even if I see a dad walking down the street with his daughter clearly and they're like having banter or they're like oh dad I'm like oh that's exactly how I feel like me and my sisters we get like a kind of an emotional like our eyes start welling up and it's like and it sounds awful like

it's not it's not jealousy but I suppose it's envious of something that we never had. I remember one of my youngest sister said to me, I was at my mate's house and she was around the dinner table with her family and they were talking. And I was like, and she was like, why are you doing that? She sounds a bit like this. Why are you talking to your mum?

And she was just like, could not believe that they were having a normal conversation around a dinner table. Like, we don't even eat as a family. That's how dysfunctional we are. And and and i i feel my my uh sister uh has an italian boyfriend and you know what those italians are like and she you know she has moments every now and then and she knew she calls me she's like oh my god they love each other they just will do anything for each other and then it's like why are we so fucked and it's i have the same i have the same my god yeah i can

tell you so many stories. One specific one that I, that still can bring me to tears is when I was working at a cinema and I was like in the front of house at the bottom and I was having a crap day. You know, it's like sometimes you meet crappy customers and this woman from like the top floor who worked in like, you know, admin or whatever

and had like a proper nine to five. She came down and her dad had come to meet her for lunch. Right? And he walked in, she came down and her dad had come to meet her for lunch right and he walked in she came down the stairs and they both did that kind of running towards each other with open arms and he just went my darling and threw his arms around her and i literally burst into tears that has never and will never happen to me with my father and part of me grieves that and is like wow that is so depressing you often hear about like like non-asian dads having a problematic relationship with their son it's often what you

see in like an eastenders storyline or a correlation street storyline but i i think the relationship between an asian father and an asian daughter is is something i don't know if even bollywood tackles it really in the way that it should be tackled, but it's a whole other thing, I think. Fraught with complications. It's so true. It's so true. And like, I don't know, I wonder, I do wonder how much of that informs our future partners and what we look for, because I don't want that.

I want somebody who doesn't want to take care of me all the time and maybe lets me be free and lets me be independent, lets me make my own money and like eats at the table with me, which I think is not hard to ask for. I know. Well, I could, so is your partner anything like your dad? Oh, I think I see some similarities and I also see some similarities

between myself and my dad as well. And I think sometimes that freaks me out and I'm like, well, mostly sometimes I look in the mirror and I'm like, that looks like my dad. So, you know know you seek out relationships that mirror your parents um yeah yeah i don't do that at all like i want the opposite of my father yeah completely same i want something completely different but then sometimes you'll see things and

you're like oh that's quite similar to actually a dynamic i had i had at home um so you try you try and hold on to the healthy stuff, the stuff that you liked. And then there's a lot that you're like, okay, cool. I don't want that. I don't want that. You get to kind of selectively choose. But I think that's also the thing about being British Asian is you can selectively choose the bits of your British Asian-ness that you're like, this is really working for me. You know, I'm really loving being brown. My skin's quite good. I mean, it's taken me a while to age. There's some good stuff. I've food i'm gonna take that i'm gonna take that and then there's like women get treated like shit yeah i'm not really i'm not into that one yeah i'm not gonna stay behind so i mean across the series

Do you feel like because you're mixed race right, do you want to talk to us a bit about your heritage yeah so basically my dad is from Birmingham um and he is obviously Indian my gran is from India and my mum's really Scottish do you get does anyone in Mexico think that you're Mexican because that's what happened to me a lot when I was out there yeah basically everyone thinks I'm Latina nobody nobody can ever guess I'm Indian ever ever, ever. Everywhere I go, Turkey, Cyprus, anywhere where I can be classed, even Brazilian.

I get Armenian all the time. Interesting. But nobody ever hits the nail on the head with Indian, which I kind of get offended about. Because I'm like, I think I do look Indian. I'm like, I am Indian. So we've, on our podcast so far, we have been talking about our kind of interesting relationships

with our fathers and also we've been talking about the phrase daddy and using it in the bedroom and call me daddy and where that comes from i can't i can't i can't i said the same thing i can't i really can't that chat is not acceptable It needs to be in the bin ASAP. Now I think of jokes. Because I don't know about you guys, but, like, see when I'm out and, like, people say, like, oh, you're Indian. People just assume that, like, my mum and dad wear turbans and saris and bindis and we cook curry seven days a week and I'm really religious.

And I'm like yous have got the scope so wrong I mean don't get me wrong I cook a banging curry guys trust trust me I cook a banging curry but yeah I'm on the proper other side of the spectrum my dad's a stripper like all that all that shit so yeah but how did your how did your dad get into it? And what was his parents' reaction? I don't actually know. My dad doesn't speak to his mum. But Bibby brought my dad up. So my dad was really, really close with Bibby.

His gran, his nan, Bibby. Oh, okay. So my dad was brought up with like 10. I've got 10 aunties and uncles. Big family and brought me. Very, very Asian, very Indian. There's a lot of us, guys. Do you think that your dad's choice to be a stripper

has influenced the way that you are with your body? Oh, yeah. I mean, because my mum is the reason why I done glamour. My mum's probably part of the reason why my dad done stripping because my mum fully supported my dad when he done it. But I just think it's jokes. Indian guy stripper like you just don't expect it and what about you how did you get into kind of glamour modeling you said that your mom encouraged you but kind of you know what inspired you to do it yeah basically I I had I was with a I was in a long-term relationship from when I was like 14 till I was 18 he cheated on me and I used to have

my boobs have actually like really shrunk I don't know where they've they've just left me they've gone but I had I had the smallest waist and the biggest boobs and the proper sack good nipples and my mum was like to me like you should do you should do glamour is it still a thing like you should do a paid treat she took the topless photos of me and we sent them off to a London agency and I got signed within 11 minutes within 11 minutes oh my god that's amazing yeah my old email my old agent emailed me are these real are these real breasts I was like yeah and then she was like great organize a test shoot which is basically like you go and shoot with your photographers. Done that the week later.

My dad drove me down all the way to London. Imagine. And done a test shoot. And yeah, I got signed. And then here we are. Did you have any, how did you feel getting your baps out initially in that room with the photographer? Or were you just like, whatever, it's just boobs?

It's just, it never bothered me. I think I've always been really confident in my body because boobs are boobs like I just don't get the big who have a thumb when we told my family um don't get me wrong I'm probably getting judged so much do you know what I mean my dad was like just chop chop chop yeah um and it's just never my mom and dad have never made it an issue. Me and my brother can't go to mum and dad about anything. They're heroes. That's so nice. Can I ask, can I ask you a question about how you discovered sex?

And like, what was your sex education growing up? Whether that's in like high school in Scotland or whether that was through friends? Can you tell us a little bit about how you understood? No, yeah.
