Starting point is 00:00:37 What is going on, everybody? We're here. It's Thursday. It's another episode of Simply Sessions. And I've got my buddy, Nathan, here. And he's joining me for today's show, Bitcoin Mentor. Indeed. You've been educating the masses.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Correct? I have been. Yeah. It's been fantastic so far. Yeah. Well, you're going to be a more integral part of the show over time. You're an excellent educator. You joined us on Why Are We Bullish?
Starting point is 00:01:05 Just this past Friday, right? Just past Friday. right before the big bull run kicked off. Yeah, it's been a hell of a week. Well, Nico's waiting in the wings. He's going to be telling us, of course, the latest and greatest in Bitcoin. We're going to chat a little bit about the tech updates afterwards, and we're just going to get the show rolling, of course.
Starting point is 00:01:21 As always, this is live. Anything can happen. So I defer to our friend Bill here. We'll do it live. We'll do it live. We'll do it live. Do it live. I'll write it and we'll do it live.
Starting point is 00:01:36 If you have not already, of course, like, subscribe, share. Free Ross. I'm Ben. This is Nathan. And this is your Simply session. All right, before we bring in Nico, let's take a quick look at where we are on the market right now. I'm pulling up time chain calendar.com. And let's make it look a little prettier than that.
Starting point is 00:02:17 There we go. We're currently sitting at $87,496. dollars per U.S. dollars per coin, a single U.S. dollar will snag you. 1,143 sets. Very different from where we were last week. And Canadian milestones, we've hit a few. A couple of them, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:36 We blew past 100K, 110. I think we're sitting about 120 right now. Yeah, yeah. We got pretty close to 130 at some point. Actually, we did. I think we just kissed it. Yeah, we did. And I know because I'm making up ridiculous tweets every 10K that we pass,
Starting point is 00:02:50 Canadian references only. But yeah, it's been interesting here in Canada, watching the Canadian moose shekel fail in real time. And we almost surpass the market cap. We almost got past the market cap of Canadian dollar. Yeah, yeah. So more value stored in Bitcoin than the entirety of the Canadian dollar, or at least M1, but impressive, impressive.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Take that, Trudeau. But besides that, in terms of fees, a little bit higher as of late, 22 sets per buck. next block, but anytime for Sats per bite, take that with a grain of salt. And in terms of Bitcoin mine, 19.78 million of them. That is 94.2% of the total supply. Now, I do want to give a shout out to Bitcoin Well, and we'll dive in here really quick, but shout out to sponsors of the show Bitcoin Well.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Awesome place in Canada or the U.S. to be stacking sats. And I just want to give a couple of quick shoutouts about why they're all. Awesome. You can sign up and you can earn sats and be able to throw a coin in the Bitcoin wishing well and earn sats as you buy Bitcoin, as you stack sats, as you sign up, as you refer friends. And we'll be doing that halfway through the show. So be sure to check out Bitcoin well. Awesome, awesome resource. And furthermore, if you're in Canada, their network of ATMs plugged in to a light account, allows you to buy Bitcoin without requiring ID.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So highly recommend you check out that as well. But we're going to give a quick shout out to a couple other sponsors. And we'll be right back with Nico with the news. Starting point is 00:06:01 All right, we are back in, and we got to get our friend Nico in here as well. So I'm going to bring him on up. There he is. Yo, man, how's it going? Yo! Dude, live from El Salvador, freedom country, loving it. But I got to say, I failed you guys. And the reason I failed you guys is because it was going to be this epic,
Starting point is 00:06:22 set up in front of the adopting Bitcoin conference. And unfortunately, the desk was not ready yet. So I'm in the green room backstage. You know, I know it's not as great, but at least it's something. I mean, it would have been pretty cool, but I can, I can still feel the freedom coming through the screen. So, you know, I'll take it. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:06:44 It's, you know, you feel the freedom when you land here, man. It's a real paying for, paying for, you know, the. the custom, the immigration stuff and lightning, you know, paying for, for goods and services and lightning. It's just, you know, I just, I loaded like $500 on my lightning wallet, and I've just been like, thing, the thing, the thing, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's pretty cool. It's pretty cool. It is. It's awesome. When I went down there, well, I saw you for the having party and hung out a bunch and we did a live stream down there, but, um, especially in Elzante, I did not, uh, I didn't spend a single cuck buck. I, I was, uh,
Starting point is 00:07:21 slinging stats left right and center. Dude, it's it's super surreal. You know, it's it's almost as if Bitcoin is money, you know, who would have thought? That's awesome. Well, what's been going on? What's, what's top of mind? What's exciting nowadays? Well, I think I think the most exciting thing is like really, you know, after what, eight months of chip solidation of feeling like death, you know, Bitcoin just went on this massive run up that we all. new was coming and it hit peaked at 93,500. I think it happened a lot faster than people anticipated just because of the law of large numbers, you know, I mean, like I remember when I personally got into Bitcoin, it was below $1,000. And I remember how long it took to get from my first
Starting point is 00:08:13 initial purchase was at $600 to $20K. Right. And then it went back down and it was like in the below 10K region and like 15 k region but it spent like many many years in that region like how long it took you know to make those moves and um it was like a couple days ago we almost made a god candle it was nine thousand dollar move in one day that took a decade it took a decade and what it took in a decade bitcoin did in two or three days you know so this is the type of thing where this thing is happening and I'm like, bro, like if we're, if we keep going in this direction, you know, I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin hits much higher than 200K next year. Because look, we're right around the block is $100,000, right?
Starting point is 00:09:04 And then from $100,000, that's a 2x, right? Which would be a huge letdown, right? That's 200k. So I'm saying like, you don't think a 2, 3x could happen in one year. And a 2 or 3x or 4x, that's 3, 400. thousand dollars you know that'd be is like we would all be losing our minds right so um you know with these types of moves it tells me that bitcoin is is still cool it's not boring yet um because that sub consolidation i like i was a little worried i was like damn is this like boomer money now like
Starting point is 00:09:37 you know i really we just expecting like these five percent little run-ups but no you know bitcoin bitcoin's there it's still pump in like it always does yeah dude it's it's it's it's Wild, again, when you're looking at the price action over the past, you know, week and a bit, you know, like the daily, you'd see like, you'd see these staggering moves in nominal value. But when you're looking at percentage wise, it wasn't that wild. Like, for Bitcoin, you know, it wasn't that wild. It was like 10%, 11%, 12%, something like that in the day. But you're seeing these numbers that are just astronomical. in terms of the value of a whole coin.
Starting point is 00:10:21 And so this is kind of like the benefit that comes from the stay humble stack sats crowd is what seems like nothing as you're stacking it. If you get through a couple of cycles, all of a sudden you're looking at these movements, which for a newcomer coming in is going to feel like good, but, you know, it's not changing your life yet. But after a couple of cycles, it's like some people are getting to points where a daily fluctuation makes them more than their yearly salary. Like it's wild. It's wild.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Dude, it's so crazy. I mean, I think it was like American Hoddle that was like talking about that just like basically making the case that, you know, like it's like you've reached Bitcoin Zen where, you know, these these one or two percent moves like make more money than, you know, you could ever think of making in a year realistically. Yeah. And I think that's, that's the case, you know. So it's pretty crazy. I'm happy that you know Bitcoin's back. I'm pretty confident that we're gonna hit 100k by the end of the year You know I think it was if I would have told you that a month ago or so
Starting point is 00:11:29 You know you're like that's impossible, but you know Bitcoin's back baby and you know a lot of this has to do with the Trump pump Yeah, this all started because I was like oh shit my coin's back. Oh my god So you know it's it's pretty funny the Donald's orange man orange coin Anyways, speaking of orange coin, an orange man, this is kind of like a topic that we've been talking about for a couple months now, which is this whole idea of what I call the great disintermediation. And I think we've finally closed the loop. I'm calling it. And essentially the theme is the internet has disintermediated information and it's disintermediated money. But I think that loop is closed. And the reason that I believe that is, these clothes is because they threw everything they could at Trump, like everything. You know, they called them a fascist. Like, they tried arresting them. They tried. Like,
Starting point is 00:12:31 whatever you can think of, they tried. And the independent, and the legacy media was basically the entire time, it was saying, yeah, that's true. You know, this guy's a maniac. This guy's a fascist. He's a convicted felon. But the election happened. And this has never happened. This never happens for the Republicans, Trump won the popular vote, right? So what does that tell me? That tells me that, like, you are the media now. Like, you are the media. The media is Joe Rogan. The media is Russell Brand. The media is independent content creators like ourselves, Ben. Like, these are the people in society that actually hold influence. This is what this latest election told me. Because if everyone was listening to the legacy media, I don't think Trump would have won in a
Starting point is 00:13:18 landslide. Clearly people are not paying attention. And one of the, like, one of the talking points that the legacy media was using was that Trump was a fascist, like Trump's a fascist. He can't trust the guy. You know, he's a piece of shit, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But the thing is, let me know what you guys think. This doesn't sound like fascist talk. Let's check it out. If we don't have free speech, then we just don't have a free country. It says, simple as that. If this most fundamental right is allowed to perish, then the rest of our rights and liberties will topple, just like dominoes, one by one, they'll go down. That's why today
Starting point is 00:14:01 I'm announcing my plan to shatter the left-wing censorship regime and to reclaim the right to free speech for all Americans. And reclaim is a very important word in this case, because they've taken it away. In recent weeks, bombshell reports have confirmed. that a sinister group of deep state bureaucrats, Silicon Valley tyrants, left-wing activists, and depraved corporate news media have been conspiring to manipulate and silence the American people. They have collaborated to suppress vital information
Starting point is 00:14:37 on everything from elections to public health. The censorship cartel must be dismantled and destroyed, and it must happen immediately. immediately. And he'll leave it at that. He keeps going. Obviously, I love Trump's cadence. Like, it's so funny.
Starting point is 00:14:53 I feel like he's, like, it's a president and like what he's saying is like super serious and you have to take it super serious. But like you can't take the reality TV star out of the guy. So like I still feel like he's like entertaining while he's doing that. He's like, they're censoring everything. It's crazy. It's insane. But it's actually serious.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Like it's serious what's going on. And, you know, this is something that, you know, one of the, the things that they always say is like accuse others of what it is you're guilty of yourself. And it reminds me of Nainbukele's famous article, Don't Drink the Elite's Kool-Aid, where he says they are willing to fight, lie, smear, destroy, censor, confiscate, print, do whatever it takes to maintain and increase their control over the truth and everything and everyone. And if you still think I'm a conspiracy theorist, I mean, here's Hillary Clinton herself,
Starting point is 00:15:41 former Secretary of State, literally saying that if we don't control social media, we'll lose control. Let's check it out. If the platforms, whether it's Facebook or Twitter X or Instagram or TikTok, whatever they are, if they don't moderate and monitor the content, we lose total control. And it's not just the social and social. Who does? Who loses total control? I mean, that's what Trump was talking about, right? Like, you know, these like deep state kind of bureaucrats and like all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:16:13 But like that's a really scary society to live in where, you know, a group of bureaucratic elite and politicians and legacy media are the sole, they're the ones that get to say, what is the truth, what is not the truth? That's a really dystopian world to live in. And I don't think this has anything to do with left, first right? I just wouldn't want to live in that world, period. Right. I don't think anyone, whether it's the left or the right, should be able to get to dictate what the truth is and what is acceptable and what the narrative is. And, you know, to kind of weave it back in to Bitcoin, if you don't have free speech, free speech is Bitcoin. Like, Bitcoin is a form of speech. Money is a form of speech. If you don't think they're okay
Starting point is 00:16:59 with you speaking freely, they're not going to be okay with you transacting freely. Freedom of speech is our tool. It's our weapon to indoctrinate the masses, to really spread the orange gospel to really get the message out there. Because if it was in the control of the government and the central banks, you tell them about inflation, you tell them about self-custody. What's like, they're going to say that's misinformation. That's dangerous to democracy. I mean, they've done this before. This is not something that I'm just like speculating about, right? So, you know, I'm really, really glad that this was the result of this election. Now, what I will say is that this doesn't fix anything. Fundamentally, the problem is the central
Starting point is 00:17:41 bank, unless you get rid of the central bank, the bureaucracy, the deep state, the administrative state, whatever you want to call it, it will keep going. Like in another election, all it takes is just another political party to get in there and turn on the money printers again. And we're back at stage one. But what it will do is it will buy us four years of time to build. Unfortunately, there's going to be a lot of shit coin degeneracy, you know, alongside us. but it's going to give us four years to just leave us alone and for Bitcoiners to do what we do best,
Starting point is 00:18:16 which is just build and focus on building and focus on really spreading Bitcoin, you know. So really, really awesome. I think the U.S. would have, like, I can't even imagine if Trump would have lost that election, what direction the U.S. would have gone in. Very, very scary from my perspective. Yeah. It's, I mean, it's odd, and I don't know if you'd echo this, but the, The, when I was growing up, everything to me seemed like everything was going to be censored by conservatives, right?
Starting point is 00:18:47 That was, you know, you're growing up and it was always, oh, we have to yank this off of the radio. We need to censor this song. We can't let anybody see this movie because they couldn't possibly handle it. And I grew up thinking that the censorship would always come from the right and getting into early adulthood and then kind of watching as that shifted. was really odd to me. And I think some people still have them ingrained in their heads of like the right side of the political spectrum are the ones that censor. And it's completely, again, like to hear the Secretary of State say like,
Starting point is 00:19:26 oh, we can't let people talk freely, otherwise we'll lose total control. Or again, like you watch the clips from the view in the morning. And it's like they're all like, oh, we got to, we can't just let people. like do this we get like people are saying things it's it's i mean do you have it the same no my experience has been like largely the same in the sense that i remember you know it was like the christian conservative right in like the early 2090s that was coming out and trying to censor and stop and you know it's so disappointing along the way too because i remember so many people like yeah censorship is bad and it's like buying into that right the anti authoritarianism okay freedom yeah free speech for all i mean
Starting point is 00:20:06 on me it's south park of all things was one of the most fundamental like basis of my worldview is like you make fun of everything or nothing and then to watch it then another you know the other side of the aisle take power and then people stick with that and not stick with the principles it's it's just a shocker yeah and the main lesson is it's it's it's not left or right it's um you know whoever's in power doesn't like the other side being able to speak their peace and so we need to transcend that there's no left or right there is the state there is no What is it? There is no red.
Starting point is 00:20:42 There is no blue. There is the state and there is you. Right? So, yeah. Oh, you're muted, buddy. Sorry, they're literally setting up backstage here. You just hear radio, you just hear like radio and people moving things. But, no, like, I completely agree.
Starting point is 00:21:02 And I think that's something really important to remember, right? Because I think the lesson here is it's like, it's like, okay, so the left gets, in power and then they want to censor their opponent, right? And then the right gets in power and then they want to censor their opponent. And this is why like protocols like Noster are so important because it's like you can't censor. And then because you can't censor, it's a forcing function for you to have to debate because the only reason you want to want to, the only reason you'd want to censor is because you've run out of arguments. You're like, I can't argue this. So like, I'm just going to shut this down completely. So he doesn't get
Starting point is 00:21:40 to talk at all whatsoever, right? So yeah, I mean, you know, know this is why bitcoin is so important i think it was jeff booth i forget who said it but it was basically along the lines of um it was basically along the lines of like one of the things that you have to get used to with bitcoin is you have to get used to your worst enemy using the protocol using the platform and you can't stop it you can't stop it like it just it is what it is right um so anyways lots of news to get to second uh naim bukela is famous I told you so. And it's absolutely hilarious, right?
Starting point is 00:22:19 So this is an article from October 3rd. As you guys could hear, you can hear the radio and people talking. I apologize. But yeah, so here's a Reuters article. IMF says Bitcoin remains key element in El Salvador program talks. It goes on to say program talks between the IMF and El Salvador focus on strengthening reforms while addressing risks arising from the use of Bitcoin. remains a key element of the discussions.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Quote, what we have recommended is a narrowing of the scope of the Bitcoin law, strengthening the regulatory framework and oversight of the Bitcoin ecosystem, limiting public sector exposure to Bitcoin. So basically the IMF is saying, you know, El Salvador, it's not going to succeed. They got a, you know, they got to decrease that exposure to Bitcoin because it's dangerous. It's dangerous to democracy. it's dangerous to financial stability. And here's Naimbukele just dumping on them.
Starting point is 00:23:19 I told you so. And check it out. Check out these numbers. Naimbukele gloats as El Salvador's Bitcoin bet reaps $108 million in profit. I mean, yeah, like, you know, it kind of reminds me of like Hillary Clinton and the legacy media
Starting point is 00:23:40 and all these kind of like analog institutions. institutions of the industrial age. Like, they had legitimacy once upon a time, but in the information age, in the era of the internet, where everyone basically has, you know, everything they need in their fingertips in the form of a phone, you know, this doesn't fly anymore, bro. It doesn't fly.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Like, the IMF is a joke. It's become, like, it's essentially becoming, like, the legacy media. Like, we, it, like, you know, like, please explain to me otherwise, right? Like, you know, what they say is the, look, they warned Argentina. They gave Argentina another bailout. I think it was like the sixth one.
Starting point is 00:24:25 And part of the conditions of that bailout was you can't, you have to de-incentivize the adoption of Bitcoin within your country. At the same time, at that's, at that, around that same time, the IMF freaked out and used their allies in the legacy media to attack El Salvador and say, hey, if you, You adopt Bitcoin. We're not going to give you alone. Fast forward three years later, El Salvador is thriving. Argentina went through hyperinflation.
Starting point is 00:24:54 They had to elect for the first time in world history. A libertarian candidate that was literally chainsawing fucking central banks to get them out of the bullshit mess. That's the IMF put them in, right? So look, it's time to move on. It's time to try something new. I understand that upsets Christine Lagarde. but I just don't care. It's time for Bitcoin.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Opti's going to have to have a couple awkward dates. It's fine. He'll get through it. Get her some flowers. She'll be okay. 100%. I mean, I've tried to send Opti to, you know, to try to make amends with Christine. Apparently Christine's not talking to him anymore.
Starting point is 00:25:37 You know, they're not in a talking, you know, point right now. Maybe it's because Bitcoin is pumping. I think Christine only calls him when Bitcoin dumps. That's what I've heard. That's been the latest news. Nikol be honest with me. Is Optia a fuck boy? Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I mean, he's tried Janet Yellen. You know, he's tried Augustine. He said Augustine was too much for him. But, you know, he's trying to get into the cabal. You know, he's just doing it a different way than most of us. But, you know, he was successful with the scene. He was successful with Christine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:14 There's many ways to get close to the money's bigger, I suppose. Yeah, exactly. You know, you can either, you know, like become a contillionaire by, you know, becoming a super crazy billionaire or you could sleep your way to the top. You know, that I'm not judging. You know, it's just there's different ways of doing it. Do what you know. Anyways, so I do want to talk about this.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Hopefully this ends with the upcoming administration. but I do want to talk about, so like justice, the whole thing about justice, you know, there's like the statue of the lady holding the scales, and it's like the equal scales of justice, right? You always hear that all the time, right? It kind of reminds me of like the legitimacy of the IMF, the legitimacy of the mainstream media, right? The, you know, this is crazy, right? The legitimacy of the DOJ. You know, they're talking about, well, no, not talking about. They just nominated, oh my God, I forget what his name. they nominated
Starting point is 00:27:11 anyways they nominated this like Matt Gates yeah Mac Gates yeah Matt Gates to the like head of the Attorney General and they're because all this lawfare
Starting point is 00:27:24 against Trump for nine years and again a lot of it was like the Russia Gate stuff that never happens you know what I'm saying so like a lot of things happened under the table and they're freaking out and again
Starting point is 00:27:39 And in order to get Trump, they essentially destroyed the legitimacy of this kind of institution. And okay, you know, that's political stuff that doesn't really have to do with Bitcoin. But from a Bitcoiner's perspective, there is a double standard as well, right? So we all remember Arthur Hayes getting charged for the breaking K.I.C and AML laws. We all remember CZ getting charged as well. we all you know this this thing bitcoin fog operator sentenced for conspiracy for for for money laundering conspiracy you know he says he got 12 years says like oh my god he laundered you know all this money you know they seized 1.76 million from him you see you know like he laundered like a 400 million
Starting point is 00:28:24 dollars of transaction it sounds terrible you're like wow this guy's a criminal um you know they said something very similar about the samurai guys you know a hundred million dollars in criminal proceeds. It's like, yeah, like, fuck. Like, you know, like these guys are criminals. Like, okay, I get it, right? The problem is that when it comes to a bank, they just get a fine. Like, what's the difference?
Starting point is 00:28:49 I'm not, like, I'm genuinely curious. What is the difference? What is the difference? Because, like, if you read this, it's like TD Bank hit with $3 billion penalty and U.S. money laundering settlement. The U.S. arm of Canada-based TD Bank has agreed to pay a penalty to settle allegations that it failed to stop drug traffickers and money launders from pushing hundreds of millions of dollars of illicit funds. The bank agreed to plead guilty to charges that it violated the Bank Secrecy Act in federal court in New Jersey. TD also settled a number of civil investigations by the U.S. Treasury's FinC., the Federal Reserve, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Between the criminal charges and civil suits, the bank has agreed to pay a total of more than $3 billion to U.S. authorities. According to prosecutors, TD Bank's U.S. unit failed to uphold proper anti-money laundering controls for almost a decade. From 2014 to 2023, during which time prosecutors said numerous criminal enterprises were able to transact through the bank. This includes a Chinese drug trafficking group that bribed bank employees, and was ultimately able to launder more than 470 million in cash linked to the sale of fentanyl and other illegal drugs, as well as another money laundering scheme that send tens of millions of dollars to Colombia. Okay, excuse my language, I get it, but what the fuck is the difference between this and the samurai? And what is the difference?
Starting point is 00:30:24 Why does our sector go to jail and then they get a fine? This is not justice. This is not justice at all. It doesn't make sense, right? It's paid a money, right? It's legal per fee. I guess. They see it as a cost of doing business.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Like, they're just like, oh, you know what? We got caught. Let's pay the fine. It's okay. You know, maybe let's sell the tiny drug trafficking ring. Let's keep it down low for a little bit. You know, in five years they can come back. Like, that's bullshit.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Like, that's total bullshit, in my opinion. And for a decade, too. Like, it wasn't, it wasn't like, oh, those, whoops, this happened. And you look at the samurai stuff. Oh, there he is. Okay. That's Ben's Opti.
Starting point is 00:31:13 So, so for November 27th, check this out. We're going to have a cage match. A moose in the middle, you guys are going to drench yourselves a maple syrup and fight. And whoever wins, that's the channel. It's only fair. That's how it works up here. That's how things have decided.
Starting point is 00:31:34 So, you know, it's crazy. You want to say hi, Murphy? Hi. We got the whole over. But anyways, I appreciate you guys dropping by. I'll be there in a second. But, yeah, so another thing also that I always hear, and this is a great response from the one,
Starting point is 00:31:52 the only legendary Jack Muller's. And here is Dave Portnoy, kind of blowing a gasket. And let's check it out. I think he's absolutely this guy is so fucking funny Let's check it out. I fucked up Bitcoin again I have it but I was gonna buy two million dollars on the ledger with barstool and I think I said I want in the 40s I went to do it I literally switched the money into Cracken and by the time I got the two million into Crackin Was it 39 to 49 it was back over the threshold and my CFOs like want me to buy it.
Starting point is 00:32:31 It's like, no, we wait, we wait for it to go back to this number and then buy the two mill. And it just never went back. I've given up on, I love crypto. I own it. It's on the ledger, not as much as I'd like. It keeps me up at night time to time because it's like, if I just put 10 million, I would have made 10 million. So that haunts me. But I thought almost that piece with it, it'll just always be that sweet piece of ass that got away, you know?
Starting point is 00:33:02 I don't know how he does it so much. Like, how does this guy like constant? Like, it's like everything that you could do wrong. He does wrong. And all you need to do is nothing. Dude, it's, you know, it's, it's absolutely hilarious. It's, it's, it's super, super, super funny. But here is like in all seriousness, Jack Mahler's just saying.
Starting point is 00:33:26 And for anyone who's tuning in, I'm sure there's a lot of new people, you know, price runs up. People start searching for Bitcoin. content. Here's Jack Muller's literally explaining as to why you're never late to Bitcoin. Listen, thinking you're late to Bitcoin is a failure of ego. I'll repeat that again. Thinking you are late to Bitcoin is a failure of ego. Bitcoin is an ego test. Late to Bitcoin, according to who? Oh, you're comparing yourself to your childhood friend. Oh, you're comparing yourself to people on the internet.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Oh, you're comparing yourself to your co-worker. That's why you think you're late to Bitcoin. What is that? That's a failure of your ego. That's an insecure, small person. All of those, that's nothing to do with Bitcoin. You think you're late to Bitcoin? Michael Saylor just bought $2 billion worth of it.
Starting point is 00:34:34 You're late? Where? How? Bitcoin's an ego test. As soon as you can sacrifice your ego and say, I'm not bigger than this thing, I can't control this thing. I am one with this thing. This thing is more important than me. It's bigger than me.
Starting point is 00:34:53 It's when you become a bitwinner. You join the network. You have every single equal right with everyone else on the network. There's no hierarchy. Rules with no rulers. That's when you become a bit quiner. So I think thinking that you're late to Bitcoin is a failure of ego. Stop comparing you.
Starting point is 00:35:09 yourself to other people. Listen, at the end of the day, you got to put your money somewhere. You got to put your time and energy, your effort, your labor somewhere, right? You get up, you go to work, you contribute to this world. You've got to store that value somewhere. You're not going to store it in the best place to store it in human history because you're comparing yourself to your friend. What type of man are you? Come on. So I don't know. I just don't get that. But don't compare yourself to other people. Decisions are made at the margin. You wake up every day, you contribute value to the people around you.
Starting point is 00:35:55 You got to put that value somewhere. Bitcoin's the best place to put that value, period. So there's no top. There is no being late or early. Again, Bitcoin's not a hedge. It's the solution. Every single day that you wake up and you do things for others, you create value for society, and you have to store that value, you put it.
Starting point is 00:36:16 in Bitcoin, obviously. It's been the correct answer for the last 15 years. It'll be the correct answer for the next 1,500 years. I mean, like, inspirational, man. Yeah. I almost feel bad about myself when I want to. Yeah. Why am I not working harder to get more sets?
Starting point is 00:36:41 Like, what am I thinking? It is, I mean, it's a bit of a wake-up, too. like again, when you hear that, you're like, you know, sometimes you trivialize like, you know, making the decision of like, I'm not going to buy this or I'm not going to do something because I'm going to stack some extra stats. And then you have the moment of like, well, how much am I actually going to stack? Like, it's immaterial. And then again, when you listen to that, it's like, no, it matters.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Those little decisions matter on orders of magnitude as the cycles and as time. passes. Yeah, 100. 100%. 100%. Anyways, the last story of the day is a big breaking, massive breaking from Dennis Porter. And, you know, he says, I can confirm the state of Pennsylvania has introduced legislation to create a strategic Bitcoin Reserve. I want to give credit where credit is due because I think Dennis gets a lot of hate.
Starting point is 00:37:41 But he's done great work on the state level for Bitcoin legislation. and he held the spaces. And I was there. I heard it. There was a representative from the House of Representatives of Pennsylvania, so not the federal level, but the state level. And he did confirm that this actually happened, right? So Pennsylvania lawmaker introduces bill for strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Pennsylvania lawmakers have introduced legislation in the state's House of Representatives to permit its treasury to hold up to 10% in Bitcoin on its balance sheet. In November 12th memo, Representative Mike Cabell, a Republican said he had proposed a bill as a tool to protect against inflation. The legislation if passed, would allow Pennsylvania's treasurer to invest up to 10% of the state's general fund, the rainy day fund and the state investment fund in Bitcoin. As of November, the state's treasury reported it had more than $9.7 billion in its general fund and roughly $7 billion in its rainy day fund. I also can confirm hearing from that state representative that this is a bipartisan thing. So there's representatives on both side of the aisle that feel really, really good about this bill passing. And it would be absolutely historic.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Like we're seeing talk about a strategic Bitcoin stockpile on the federal level and now on the state level. I mean, you can't stop this train. You better get on it or it might leave you behind. That's pretty wild again. Like we're seeing a lot of people come into the idea of you don't, you don't store your wealth and dollars. What are you going to store it? And Bitcoin is the thing that makes the most sense. And like crazy people like the three of us and the clowns that, you know, made a quick pop in with their heads, discovered that through our own weirdness earlier on.
Starting point is 00:39:34 But, you know, like people whose job it is to protect purchasing power are starting to figure that out as well. Absolutely. I mean the idea too, that usually anytime the parties can agree on something, it's the worst thing possible. But now we actually have Bitcoin bringing them together in a positive way for everybody. 100%. I think everyone can get behind, you know, sound money for everyone, right? Anyways, this was your simply sessions for November 14th.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Talk to you later. Have a good time, man. All right. So we are going to continue on. We're going to be back in a moment with, we're going to be back in a moment with, we're going to give away some sats, of course. So make sure that you have your lightning wallets ready so that you can scan and stack some free sats.
Starting point is 00:40:21 The first person to snag these sats will be the one that takes them. So you've got to be quick on the draw. But in the meantime, we're going to give a quick shout-outs to our remaining sponsors. And we'll be right back with some giveaways. We'll see you guys in just a moment. Keeper is a fully open-source Bitcoin app created to help you stack Sats long term. Easily use your hardware devices or assistic keys to create multi-sig wallets and plan your inheritance. Head over to Bitcoinkeeper.app to download the app and use
Starting point is 00:40:56 code BTC Sessions 30 to get a 30% discount on your first subscription. Speed is one of the fastest growing Bitcoin lightning wallets out there. It is a fast and secure way to send and receive Bitcoin and stablecoin payments instantly. You can even swap between and stable coins directly in the app. Also in the app, you can buy gift cards for all the best brands and earn rewards in the process. To download speed, simply scan the QR code on the screen, click the links in the show notes down below, and use code BTC Sessions 10 to get 5,000 sats for free.
Starting point is 00:41:39 All right, we're back in and we're going to give away some sats. And so I am pulling up Bitcoinwell.com. They're awesome. They're in Canada. they're in the U.S. And we chatted with them a bit off the top of the show, but long and the short of it is when you sign up, when you purchase Bitcoin,
Starting point is 00:42:00 and when you refer friends, you earn points. And these points can be used to then toss a coin in the Bitcoin wishing well, and you have the chance to win anywhere from 500 to up to a million sats. And so we're going to do that now. I'm going to hit Play Now. and I'm going to hit redeem 500 points and we will give this a toss in the well and the first person to scan is going to get 500 sats so get your cameras out whoever snags that first is the sole winner so if you do win let us know in the chat or in the comments down below and congrats to whoever snags those sats and now that's not the only way you can earn sats of course myself and nathan we are with the mentor. And this is a great place where, you know, we help educate newcomers to Bitcoin or
Starting point is 00:42:52 people that have been in Bitcoin for a while, but maybe get into a bit of a rut where they haven't leveled up in a while or they want to really solidify how secure they are with their Bitcoin. But some of you watching may be at a point where you feel pretty secure, but you're about to have just so many friends. Have you been getting the text messages? I haven't yet. I've sent a couple out. I did a little bit of a victory lap, but I haven't got one yet. Yeah, it's, I mean, they're coming. And I've, I've gotten a few where people are like, hey, I remember you talking about Bitcoin a while back. Can you help me out? Can you get get me sorted? And so, you know, a lot of people are, you know, get excited and are keen to
Starting point is 00:43:32 to chat about that. But maybe they want to learn some stuff that you are not well versed in or you just want to leave them with the experts. Well, you can send them our way. And you can sign up and be a Bitcoin mentor affiliate. So there's a QR code at the bar. bottom of the screen there. And the way this works is you go in, you fill in some information, you're going to get your own personal link. And every time you send somebody our way and they sign up and do a session, you're going to earn $21 in Bitcoin. And that's just not for their first session, but it's for every session that they book in perpetuity moving forward. So somebody comes, they book 10 sessions. There's $210 for you. And so this can be an excellent way to earn some
Starting point is 00:44:13 additional Bitcoin with very minimal effort on your part. And the best part is you get to stack sets as new Bitcoiners stack their skills. So I encourage you, scan that QR code, sign up to be an affiliate. And when you start getting inundated with questions, there you go. Share that. And people will begin to learn and level up. And that's a beautiful thing. So with that, we're going to dive into the tech updates here. So we're going to rattle some of these off. I'll leave that QR code up there for a second before I take it down. But Crux version 24.11.0 experimental tamper detection tool and other improvements. So Crux, if you're unfamiliar, this is an open source hardware device that you can DIY so you can get these little devices and flash the firmware. It's kind of
Starting point is 00:45:00 in the same realm as Seed Siner, but a lot more versatility in the types of hardware that you can use. I've played around a little bit. I'm not super well versed. So I got to I got to tinker more, but that's on the list of things to cover it in tutorials. So what's new? Experimental tamper check flash hash and tamper check code. They've got BIP 85, which is great, and you can export B64 passwords. They've got some vulnerability fixes, multi-keypad position indicator, a whole bunch, some translations, some minor bug fixes.
Starting point is 00:45:38 But I'm keen on the BIPA. I love, I love stuff like that. I use BIPP 85 a ton. And yeah, just good in general to see more open source hardware options out there for those of you that maybe, you know, enjoy putting on a tinfoil hat and we're, and I think we all do at points. But it's very, it cannot be understated enough that even if the state were to say you're no longer a lot. allowed to create and ship Bitcoin self-custody devices that people can still build them from scratch. Yep, absolutely. Have you, have you tinker with like the seed sign or anything like that before? Just a little about the seed signer. And this one's still on my list to go through at some
Starting point is 00:46:23 point in time here. I keep bugging TC in our chats about it because I know he's working on it as part of a multi-sig as well. Yeah. Yeah. Crux is pretty interesting. I'm going to be playing around with it. But yeah, shout out to all the devs that are working on stuff like that. That's great. Up next, Leanna version 8.0. So improved setup process, new templates, Bitbox02 support. So again, Leanna is a pretty cool kind of Bitcoin wallet that allows for multi-sig. And they've incorporated a lot with like miniscript and time locks and things like that where you can set up a multi-sig. And after enough time, you know, one of the keys can deprecate and it becomes, goes from like a three of five to like a two of three or whatever it may be.
Starting point is 00:47:08 So this update, they've got a number of things. So new Bitcoin D28.0 version, Bitbox O2 devices can now be part of a taproot descriptor setup. The install process now includes examples of setups with fixed templates. So templates are great. I love the ability to have a general guide. of how to get set up for people that really sometimes people like guardrails. So those are always nice to have. Again, some UI and U.S. buttons reworked.
Starting point is 00:47:47 And then, again, just some general wallet displays in terms of syncing. Hardware wallets in the app used to not open had some confusing warning messages. So there's a number of just, again, like some bug fixes, but the The thing that stands out to me is Bitcoin D version 28.0 and the Bitbox edition there. Move on from here. Zeus. I've been using the shit out of Zeus lately because I've got the Albihaub going. Which is fantastic.
Starting point is 00:48:18 But version 0.9.2. So some of the main things here, you can export your transaction history to spreadsheets. So if you need to do that, that's great. Bolt 12 support. So Bolt 12 is great. but they also allow you to fall back to both 11 lightning addresses if support is not found. Yeah, and then they've got a bunch of other things. So hardware wallet and external signer improvements, a spooky theme.
Starting point is 00:48:46 This must have been Halloween launch. Yeah, maybe they're a little behind on the spooky theme. I don't know. You can also add the slide-to-pay threshold. So you can kind of set that based on the amount that you're spending. And then just some general bug fixes. But loving me some Zeus, especially as it pertains to connecting to my own Start 9 node and everything like that. So kudos to Evan Kulutis and all the hard work he's been doing.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Moving on, Bitcoin Keeper. Again, sponsor the show. Love these guys. Version 1.2.18 and desktop version 0.1.3. So what have they done here? For the mobile app, you can select different Electrum servers during the app setup. They added support for the portal, the 22 devices NFC thing, which looks really cool and I got to play with. USB option enabled for Cold Card and Jade via the desktop app.
Starting point is 00:49:42 So they have a paired desktop app and we'll dive into that in a sec, but you can interface with that in concert with your mobile device to be able to sign transactions that way. Tap signer verify initial status and backups count. Simplified vault registration for signers. File sharing experiences are enhanced. The receive screen now enables multiple addresses management and address labeling, which is great. The send experience has been overhauled, so you're going to see some new stuff there. Again, major design updates to UTXO management and transaction details, which is great.
Starting point is 00:50:18 Any granularity and more control you can have there is better. They revamped the dark mode, which is nice. And then, again, just some general bug fixes and performances. For the desktop one, they now support Treasersafe 5 and two other devices that you probably shouldn't use. They also fix the unlocking Jade on TestNet and some small UI fixes. So lots of work being done on the keeper front, which is great. I love to see them iterating there. Moving on, Robosat's version 0.7.2 Alpha, Noster Order Books. This is cool.
Starting point is 00:50:54 So basically what they've got here, this release lets users test Nostra Global Order Books by enabling the option in the configuration tab. For now, the feature is only available on the web and will be brought to the mobile app in upcoming releases. The version also improves robot recovery form, changes the fast-generate robot to fast-generate order as additional coordinator alias to invoice description
Starting point is 00:51:22 and brings many smaller bug fixes. So if you haven't played around with Robosats, again, peer-to-peer, non-KYC way to obtain Bitcoin, Lightning Native, you can do on-chain as well. But, yeah, they're doing lots of cool stuff. And I love that they're now starting to move towards Noster for the order books. That's super cool, censorship-resistant, you know, that people are keeping in mind that there's always going to be somebody that wants to say no, right? Yeah, yeah. It's great to see. And then one last one that I wanted to touch on, RASPI Blitz, version 1.11.3.
Starting point is 00:51:58 So I did do a video on the RASBi Blitz back in the day. You know, they do have like a web UI that you can use, but a lot of it's kind of command line, things like that. And so, you know, it's great. Some people really gravitate towards it, I think, is an awesome project. Of course, I'm running my start nine now, but I got a lot of love for what RASBi Blitz. Blitz is doing. So this one, they've added a few things. So public pool open source solo Bitcoin mining. So you've got an SSH in to see that. They've added tail scale, which allows for easier connection from remotely. Umbrel has this as well. And it is super handy, I will say. Let's see,
Starting point is 00:52:44 I'm unfamiliar with telegraph metrics. So I'm not super well-versed in that update there. But I do know, of course, about how to connect Zeus to see Lightning instead of just LND. So that's great. You can just scan a QR code and you're good to go. They updated Core Lightning, Thunder Hub, LNDK, Helipad, Mempool, Balance of Satoshi. It's a lot of updates for the various apps there, which is great to see. So kudos res by blitz. And I've got one last shout out here.
Starting point is 00:53:17 Why are we bullish tomorrow? Mr. John Carvalho. B-cash, B-cash, infamous. Roger blow-up, but more importantly, as of late of synonym, so they're doing the synonym lightning wallet, which is really cool. I'm excited to have him on. Of course, Scott 9,000 of Bitax.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Creator of Bitax. Awesome, dude. I saw him in Nashville for the Human Rights Foundation thing, which was super cool. Have you got the, chance to tinker with a bit axe or anything yet oh yeah i've got one on the back shelf and i absolutely love it yeah it's it's it's it takes like no power yeah pretty easy you just like connected to your wi-fi and you can access it from a browser or a phone or whatever and then you just i mean you're are you just like
Starting point is 00:54:06 solo mining oh i'm just straight solo mining but even more than that i just like it as like this beautiful little aesthetically pleasing almost art piece on the mantle behind me right yeah it's a good it's a good conversation piece right exactly somebody sees it they're like like, what in the hell? And then you get to have a conversation about mining. I think I love the drive towards solo mining this cycle, not as like, you know, you don't have to be like hashing up a storm, but the idea that as a hobbyist and as an educational tool, you can get something relatively accessible and relatively cheap, plunk it on the on your shelf, learn a little bit and then also in the process have a bit of a forever lottery ticket. I think that's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Plus you get the dream, right? You know, just hanging out, looking at things. Like, what would I do if I got that block reward? And now, like, there's been a number of, there's been a few blocks mined by bid axes. And more recently, there's somebody that had a future bit. They got a future bit. Yeah. Which is the same idea.
Starting point is 00:55:05 It does double as like a node and a home miner, but somebody hit a block with that. And if you think about it, at today's prices, too. Like, you know, Bitcoin was peaking out fiat terms the other day at 93,000. American. So with fees, you're almost looking at over 270K. Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy. And in Canadian cuckbox, that's like, you're, you're, it's $5 million.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Yeah, you're really, exactly. You could buy half the country. You could buy a province or two for that, I think. Oh, I can set us free. Exactly. It's going to cost a bit more. We're going to have to print a few more Canadian moose shack. We'll still afford that, I think.
Starting point is 00:55:43 But, but yeah, so Scott 9,000 is going to be on. Also, Portland Hoddle. He's awesome. He's just so knowledgeable. And last time he was on, he was an absolute legend. I'm pretty sure he was in, like, some classic truck when he was on the last time. He was, like, doing it from his phone. But nonetheless, he was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:55:59 So I'm very excited to have him back. So make sure you tune in tomorrow 6 p.m. Eastern time and come join us for, why are we bullish? And so to round out again, we're just going to do a quick, no, no, yes, yes. Okay. I didn't. There we go. Okay. That looks better.
Starting point is 00:56:19 Yeah, so to round out, of course, a quick reminder, you can be stacking stats. Well, people are stacking skills. So become a Bitcoin mentor affiliate. Sign up today. And yeah, anytime that a friend or family member or acquaintance needs a little bit of help in their Bitcoin journey, feel free. Send them your own personal link and you'll earn some stats. Or you can, of course, come to Bitcoin mentor.io if you yourself need some help. and all of a sudden with that in the the god candle the near god candle you're realizing oh my god
Starting point is 00:56:52 is my setup secure enough i do not know uh we can help you out with that um so with that i think we're out um i mean neither than any other final things you want to tag on before we're done or no that's it that's good for me hell yeah well uh you guys stay tuned uh we'll be uh we'll we'll have more of Nathan in coming episodes. Make sure you go back and watch the last Why Are We Bullish? Because that was a hell of a red. That was a fun one. Yeah. We went for like a solid like two and a half hour.
Starting point is 00:57:24 That was a good go. Yeah, it was awesome. So yeah, you'll be seeing more of Nathan with the tutorials popping into new shows here and there. Why Are We Bullish? And maybe some original content in the new year. So with that, I guess that's it. Have a wonderful day or evening, wherever you may be.
Starting point is 00:57:40 See you guys next time for your daily, simply session. See you guys.
