Sarah lives in Nebraska with her husband, two children, and four foster children.THE ASCEND METHOD This is Sarah’s exact method: A – Alignment: hormones, lifestyle, and mindset working together S – Stress & Sleep: restore rest and regulate adrenals C – Cellular & Gut Health: heal digestion and reduce inflammation E – Energy & Blood Sugar: stabilize energy and eliminate burnout N – Nourish Liver & Immune: support detoxification and immunity D – Daily Resilience: sustainable habits for lasting results ASCEND is not about rules. It is about rising.Sarah Bouse is a woman who learned to listen when her body refused to be silenced. Long before she became a practitioner, mentor, and guide for women navigating burnout and hormonal imbalance, Sarah was doing what many women are taught to do: push through, stay quiet, and assume suffering was normal. Fatigue followed her through childhood and adolescence. Symptoms were dismissed, minimized, or treated as inconveniences rather than warnings. Sarah adapted. She endured. Until her body drew a hard line. In her early twenties, a medical emergency forced Sarah to confront a truth she could no longer ignore: her body was not failing her — it was demanding to be heard. As she entered motherhood and faced infertility diagnoses, miscarriages, and repeated medical dismissal, she realized compliance would cost her more than resistance ever could. She chose a different path. Instead of accepting surface answers, Sarah began asking deeper questions. Instead of managing symptoms, she sought root causes. Through functional nutrition, lifestyle alignment, and nervous system restoration, she experienced what few had prepared her for — her body responded. Healing was not only possible; it was intelligent. That awakening reshaped her life. Sarah went on to train as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, complete advanced clinical education, and mentor practitioners worldwide. She developed the ASCEND Method™, a framework that helps women move out of survival mode and into sustainable energy, clarity, and leadership by working with their bodies instead of fighting them. Today, Sarah has helped hundreds of women reclaim both their health and their authority. As a mother and foster parent, she advocates fiercely for those navigating systems that too often fail to listen. Her work is grounded not in perfection, but in lived experience. What makes Sarah a leader worth following is not that she mastered her body. It’s that she honored it. She is the woman who stopped apologizing for listening. She is the woman who chose advocacy over compliance. She is the woman who rose — and teaches others how to rise with her. Sarah Bouse is an Alpha Queen Rising. Starting point is 00:00:00 Women Innovators. Interviews with women with big messages and big missions, sharing their stories to inspire you to live your passion and step up to make the world a better place. Here's your host, Tammy Patzer. Hello, everyone. This is Dr. Tamara Panser, and I'm really excited because today we are speaking with Sarah Bouse. She is the author of Ascend, the woman beneath the labels. And that is part of a new book called Alpha Queen's Rising, available on Amazon. And Sarah is a woman who had to listen to her body when it refused to be silenced. and that has led to where Sarah is today.
Starting point is 00:01:01 And that's actually where we're going to start our conversation. Welcome, Sarah. Hello, thank you. I'm excited to talk to you because you do have a really unique story, but you also are helping a lot of women today. And so I wanted you to first explain how do you help these high achieving women who are struggling with hormones help? And they're often just dismissed. So let's start there.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Yeah. So what I do is I have noticed that so many women will go to different places and they'll get little tiny tidbits of answers and things like that. And so I created an entire method on what I do. And it's really about aligning, stabilizing, restoring, and thriving. And it's just an entire program that I created because many women have no idea about their body. They don't know how it works. They don't know why they feel a certain way. And many times, they dismiss themselves. And so they'll be like, something's wrong with me. I'm like, okay, it's not that it's wrong. It's just that you don't know how to listen to it entirely. And so that's where I work through an entire method on how to really make it where they're
Starting point is 00:02:23 aligning with their goals and what they need to do. Their moods are stabilized. Their hormones are stabilized. And then we restore it so they can thrive, especially with high achieving women. They need to have that ability to thrive on what they're doing. And that's what the Ascend method's all about. And so I love what I get to do on a daily basis. So we're going to go deeper into your actual Ascend method.
Starting point is 00:02:47 But what are the biggest challenges that women are facing today? I would say a lot of it is fatigue. They're burned out. And as a result, their hormones are all over the place. But many times it's just they cannot think anymore. They don't know who they are. They really don't even have any joy in life. And so many times, we talk about libido all the time.
Starting point is 00:03:16 but many times people just don't have any joy looking outside. They don't care about themselves. And that's what I notice most often is that they have fatigue, brain fog, gut health issues, and just a lack of joy in life. So in your chapter, there was this one line that really opened or struck me, I guess, opened me up. And that is your body is not betraying you. It's communicating.
Starting point is 00:03:50 What the heck does that mean? So many times we want to blame something. Our body just doesn't care about us. The people around us don't care about us, whatever it is. And so when I said that the body is betraying you, that's where it's just not. It's really trying to tell you what you need to do. It's trying to explain and scream out to you in whatever way it can. And the more we listen, the more we'll understand it's not betraying us.
Starting point is 00:04:25 It's just talking. That little talking body. So I want to go ahead and let's get into the Ascend method. And Ascend is A-S-C-E-M-D. Explain it and say. simple terms so that somebody can just really go, oh, I get it. Yep. So before I go into the letters, I'm going to kind of explain it.
Starting point is 00:04:49 So it's like it's six months of like functional hormone restoration system is really what I created. It's more root cause labs with personalized coaching so that those high performing women can finally understand what's happening with their body. So I'll go through each of the letters. So A is alignment. when they come to me instead of fighting their biology, we're like, what's going on with it? So we do a lot of functional testing, whether it's urine and salivary hormone testing, blood testing, gut testing, whatever it is to figure out how to align their goals with what
Starting point is 00:05:26 their biology is doing at that time. Then we go into sleep and stress. That's S. Many women that are high achieving, they don't sleep. They're high on stress. They use a lot of things like coffee, caffeine of any kind. And so we focus on sleep and stress. And then cellular nutrition is C.
Starting point is 00:05:46 So that's where on a cellular level, I want to make sure that they are nourished. That's why blood testing is great. Not just to be like, you're in range. No, I want to see how your body is really needing the nutrients and how to utilize it better. The next is like elimination and detoxification. Our body is incredible. and it eliminates and detoxifies as it needs to, but sometimes it gets stuck. And so we want to make sure that all those systems are running properly.
Starting point is 00:06:15 And then we do a nervous system in like a gut connection because we talk about the brain gut connection. And then D is daily momentum or daily resilience where you are truly learning how to work with your body, with your biology, and continue to be resilient and have that momentum in your life. So what part of a sin creates the fastest relief for women? Stress and sleep. 100%. And so that's why I love it as S is because if we can just put the phone down, don't doom scroll, go to bed on time at a consistent basis, it makes a drastic difference.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Your body can recover. It can detoxify. Do all the things that your body naturally wants to. do, just go to sleep. So what part of it creates the most permanent change? I would say the most permanent change is going to be the nervous system and the gut connection. That's a really big one. So when you don't have any gut issues, you're digesting your food properly, you're absorbing nutrients. I always say, I could give you the perfect diet, perfect plan, but if you can't digest it, what is the point. And so that would make the most permanent change for sure.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Well, that makes a lot of sense. So we have different people listening now. If there was one thing that they could do today or this week, what would you tell them to do? I would say if you had to choose, I'm going to choose three. I want you to get three things. We can all do three things. I would say, I want you to hydrate yourself. Before you have coffee, I want you to drink water, eat some foods. So when I say eating food, eat whole-based foods. It can be hard, but that we live in an era where you can easily find quick and easy whole food nutrition. And then the last thing is set up boundaries with your sleep and with people. You don't have to be available 100% of the time to everybody. Get your sleep and just kind of
Starting point is 00:08:28 set up that boundary for sure. I like that because many women have a lot of trouble with boundaries or with multitasking. I don't know back in the day if you said you were a multitasker, that was like, yeah, you know, you'd get rewarded for being able to juggle 23 things at one time. But there is a big price to pay. So I want to go back and talk about your, the chapter you wrote in Alpha Queens Rising, and your story actually starts out in a pretty dramatic way. So can you take us back to the day that your body literally was screaming at you? And I don't know if that was the day you finally listened, but I know it was a day that it said, okay, listen to me right now.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Yep. So I was, I worked in the corporate world. I was high achieving. I was doing all the things at a very young age because I was always somebody that was like, okay, if I want to do something, I'm going to do it. And so I was pushing myself. I was very low on sleep at this conference. And I remember it was late in the evening. And my body all of a sudden was just like, nope, we're done. It was debilitating what happened. I do want people to read the book, but it was debilitating what happened to me. And it made it where I had to go to the hospital. And everybody acted like it was so normal. Like this is just like, oh, this is just what's happening to you. And for me, this stopped me in my tracks. One, it stopped me for the whole conference.
Starting point is 00:10:24 And I actually was going to need to speak the next day. Couldn't do it. it. And then the next thing is that I was laying in a hospital bed. Everybody at the hospital seemed to be like, well, this is just the way that it is. We'll come in and check on you. They weren't going to give me any food because they're like, we don't really know entirely what's wrong with you. So I didn't get any food. Like, it was just like I was in a dark room by myself. And I remember thinking, what am I doing? What is the point in what I'm doing? And I would say that, is where the thought came to mind is that nobody is going to come and save me. I have to do it. I have to be the one that changes. I need to listen. I need to completely change what I'm doing in my life.
Starting point is 00:11:13 And did I quit my job? No, I didn't quit my job. It was one of those things where I just decided to do things differently. I decided to figure out what was going on. And then I went to doctors. And doctors were like, oh, this is just the way that it is. This is medicine that we can give you. And it just from there, I would say that wasn't the day that I decided to be a women's health practitioner, but that was the day I decided to listen. So that was the day you decided to listen to your body. And looking back, you were only, what, 23 years old when that happened. And you were in Florida and you actually your husband and you lived in Washington
Starting point is 00:12:02 State. So you were more than 3,000 miles away from home lying in a hospital saying, whoa. But looking back at you and your life until you were 23, what did
Starting point is 00:12:18 you realize were the earliest signs that your body was screaming and trying to talk to you, but you just didn't know enough to listen. So I was what my clients come to me with all the time. I was tired. I had brain fog.
Starting point is 00:12:37 I was super inflamed. I couldn't lose any weight. I gained 70 pounds in a year. I mean, it was drastic what happened to me. And I had some Bell's palsy going on with my eye. I had where and people would make fun of me with that. It was, that's a whole thing. But I had Bell's palsy.
Starting point is 00:13:02 I had multiple doctors that would go to me. I had debilitating cycles. And I had even ashen skin. Like I just didn't look healthy. I honestly don't even have pictures really of during that time before I turned 23 because I hated myself. And that's where it was screaming at me for sure. And I did not listen.
Starting point is 00:13:27 So what did it feel like when all these doctors, because everybody respects doctors, right? When a doctor tells you something, you know, we've been trained, well, the doctor said so, what did that feel like to be just dismissed by these, you know, doctors and nurses and medical professionals? I would say, and doctors are incredible. And I don't want to say that doctors are not. But I felt like nobody would listen to me, not a single person. And they just, they just pushed me to the side without trying to work with me to get better. Like, why not show me what to do?
Starting point is 00:14:16 You have all this knowledge. Why can't you share it with me? And so it was just this huge disconnect that I felt that I should. that I should be able to go to a health professional and be able to be guided. It doesn't mean I have to take their advice, but it's one of those things I should have been given advice. And I just wasn't. And so I was like, now what?
Starting point is 00:14:39 Who do I go to? So when people like that, people, obviously doctors, they have a lot of education, a lot of training, and we hold them with a lot of respect. But what does that do to your identity and your belief system when you're obviously, your body's, you know your body's not functioning properly. You gained weight rapidly. Like you said, your cycles were all out of whack. And at one point, you were even told that you were pre-diabetic.
Starting point is 00:15:15 You had PCOS overweight, that the odds of pregnancy were slim to none. And my first question about that is related to that belief system that you believe about yourself, that identity about that if doctors are dismissing you, what does that say about me? And then we can talk about some more moments in your life. Yeah. So when the doctor dismissed me and like what it says about me is that I felt. like something was wrong with me. Like I was a lost cause. There was no reason to try to help Sarah. And so that's where when I found out that I may never have children, it was one of those things
Starting point is 00:16:07 where I was like, everybody talks about how you're going to grow up and you're going to be a mom. You're going to get married. You're going to have kids. Like that fairy tale story that we've all were fed. And to have that, I was like, am I not worthy of that? do I not get to have that opportunity because of X, Y, Z, whatever it is? And so that's where it really started to rock who I was, who I had the goals and dreams that I had aspired to. Like, why was I working if I didn't want, if I wasn't going to, you know, have money for a family and just the dreams and goals that we have? And so it completely changed the way that I thought about myself, about in my future, truly.
Starting point is 00:16:54 So you do now have children, right? Yes. So how did you go from being this person who is literally told your chances of pregnancy or slim to none to being a mom and some other things happened along the way because you found out that you have the RH factor. and that did create a miscarriage. But how did you end up getting, being able to get pregnant in the first place?
Starting point is 00:17:27 And you do have, I believe, what, two healthy children? Healthy children, two boys. Two boys? Yep. So how I went to it is that, so I'm an Ares and very stubborn. I sign. Yes, yes. Thank goodness, I do.
Starting point is 00:17:46 But that's where I was just, when that rubbed, my identity. I was like, I'm not going to accept this. And so I kept looking. I went to many doctors, got the same answer. And finally, I found a nutritional therapist and a nature path. And it was one of those things that completely changed it. She sat me down. She listened to what I said. Like instead of just like, let's check your vitals, let's do this. Oh, here's the medicine. No, she listened. I would sit in her office for like an hour. And she's like, tell me about what's going on. tell me about your health, tell me about how you grew up. Like she wanted to know about me.
Starting point is 00:18:25 And that's what changed my identity for sure, is that I was like, somebody's listening. And I have hope. And I decided to do everything she said. I was like, okay, I'm not going to question this. I've already tried the other way. I'm going to do everything she says. And that's what I did. I started to change my food.
Starting point is 00:18:45 I started to sleep. I started to figure what was going on with my hormones. I had some cellular nutrition going in, like all the things that are necessary to really change that. And then my mindset changed too. I was like, Sarah, this is a possibility. Just keep going. Stay that stubborn person that's going to be like, no, I don't accept that. And I did.
Starting point is 00:19:08 That's really cool. And wasn't one of your nicknames when you started to eat healthy, something like crunchy? Yes, my family would make fun of me all the time. They were like, oh gosh, she's grunchy. this is what it is. She's not going to do this. She's not going to do it. It was just, I mean, I grew up with the standard American diet, the sad diet. And so my family didn't really see what they needed to do. And they thought I was crazy. You even have a story in your chapter related to green beans that actually were a clue for you. Yeah. So when I was, I grew up in the 80s and the 90s,
Starting point is 00:19:48 where it was like canned food, all those things. And I remember we didn't eat a ton of vegetables. We had a large family and we'd have like one can of green beans for the entire family. I'm like, how much was that, truly? But I noticed I was getting acne. I had acne as a teenager, like big cystic acne. And I remember I was like, okay, to get rid of it, I just need to eat a can of green beans. because I noticed that when I would eat that, even though canned green beans, I mean, how nutritious are they really?
Starting point is 00:20:21 But it was something that my body was missing. And so that's where I would eat it. My acne would clear up. And I was like, man, my skin would be a little bit more glowy. So I was like, oh, before I have to go do something, let's eat some green beans. And that's just what I started to notice. Isn't that interesting? But it was a clue that, hey, vegetables can be used.
Starting point is 00:20:44 So when you finally, so you found the nutritionist, a natural path, the doctor who really helped you. Obviously, it changed the way, I take it that, what, did you lose weight? Did it, because you did end up being pregnant, right? Yep. And so that, how did that restore your faith, I guess? and tell me a little bit more about the the R.H. Factor story. Did you know that you had that R.H. factor at any point before you had the consequences of it? Yeah. So I'll answer that first question on how it restored my faith is that when I got
Starting point is 00:21:37 pregnant, I was like, oh my gosh, Sarah, you have the power to change what you're doing. And it was like, because I, again, I followed everything she did. She told me to. And the fact that I could do it was like, you're not broken. You are not like where it's like the woman beneath the labels. I'm not the labels that all the doctors told me. I'm not the PCOS, the infertility, the, I mean, all of it. It wasn't me anymore.
Starting point is 00:22:03 And so that restored my faith in that. But then, yes, I knew I had the RH negative factor. because with my first child, that's where they have to, for those of you who don't know what the RH negative, when you have your first child, you have to make sure that if you have a negative blood type, that you get a shot halfway through your pregnancy. And then once the baby's born, they have to check and make sure if the baby is a positive blood type, you have to get an RH negative shot again. So my son wasn't a negative blood type, so I didn't have to have another one.
Starting point is 00:22:35 So I kind of fell back into some not great habits between my first and second. And also with PCOS, it's something that you have to really stay focused on all the time. My husband and I had moved to Nebraska. He became a police officer. It was a lot of stress. And I just wasn't taking care of myself really the way that I needed to. And I also had a small son. So we wanted to get pregnant with our second.
Starting point is 00:23:05 child and I had a miscarriage. I had it around 11, 12, no, 11 or 12 weeks. And I did not even think about it that I needed to go and get an RH negative shot because an RH negative shot affects will make it where the next pregnancy is healthy. And I didn't even think about it. And I didn't think, I thought it was too early to really have to worry about that. And when I got pregnant with my second son, I started bleeding around that 11, 12 weeks. And I remember calling the doctor and saying like, hey, something's wrong.
Starting point is 00:23:44 I'm bleeding. Those kinds of things. And they were like, well, just call us when you miscarry. And I was like, what? That's their answer. Not, hey, what's going on? Any of those things? Look at my chart.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Nothing. So I called another doctor. And I lived in Western Nebraska. there's not a ton of doctors there. But I called another doctor. Same answer. Just call us when you miscarry. And then they were going to do a DNC or something like that,
Starting point is 00:24:13 making sure the typical things that happened with a miscarriage. And I was just like, I remember dropping the phone and being like, what again? Like, again, I'm being told, well, this is just the way that it is. And so I remembered. that I didn't give up the first time. And I was like, this, I can't give up anymore. I have to be able to, like, this is literally my son's life that matters. And so I finally found a midwife and she immediately had me come in.
Starting point is 00:24:45 She was like, you need an RH negative shot. And she asked me what my blood type was even. And I told her and all the things. And so I got my RH negative shot and I have my son. He is now 12 years old. So it's just an incredible. thing that when I realized that me searching for answers is literally saving a life and that changed completely the trajectory of what I was going to do with my life.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Wow. So your son's now 12 years old. But isn't that amazing when amazing is probably not the right word. But when you look at, so you go, okay. I know there's something wrong. You call the doctor, dismiss. Just go ahead and have a miscarriage and we'll deal with the consequences of that. Finally, the midwife recognizes something and takes the precautions, which was simply a shot
Starting point is 00:25:51 that made it so that you could go ahead and have your son, who's now 12 years old. So what does that tell you about it? I mean, it's mind-boggling to me about how you, we as individuals, we have to become our own advocates because if we don't take care of ourselves, we can't trust that someone else will take care of us. And that's why we need people like you who can say, wait a second here, there are answers to these different issues.
Starting point is 00:26:32 We just have to stop and here you go. And that's why your ascend framework is so important, you know, because it gives them one, two, three steps. Now I want to come back again to that people know a little bit more of that journey that you took to get here. you actually have become the practitioner you needed. And why that changed your entire life. Every experience you had helped you become who you are today.
Starting point is 00:27:16 So how do you look at that mission in life now? that you obviously know that you have a true purpose and a mission to help all of these other people. Can you expand on that for me? Yeah. So what really made it where I wanted to become that person is that I heard so many similar stories of people that were like, this is just the way that I am. And I was like, no, no, I want to really lead and guide people that that is not what it has to because everybody has choices.
Starting point is 00:27:56 You can choose to just stay on one path or you can choose to accept, not accept it, and choose differently. And that's where I saw the disconnect with women. And I saw the, even talking about identity, that identity shift that women have where they don't see themselves as powerful and thriving. And I was like, you can do it with whatever. industry you're in. But that's where I, and even if you're a stay at home mom, if you are a grandma, whatever it is, you have power. And so that's why I wanted to teach people. My goal is to teach
Starting point is 00:28:35 people how their body works, how they can seek, like search for the answers that they need in order to really heal themselves, whether that's on a completely physical basis or is it more just a mindset. And so that's why I wanted to become this female practitioner that I am today. So do you have any goals of how many women you'd like to impact or you also work with other practitioners too? You have patients that you work with or clients. I'm not sure what the terminology is. And then you then you have other practitioners that obviously. like can learn from what you're doing. So how do you work with those two different groups of people?
Starting point is 00:29:28 Yeah, absolutely. So I work with all of my clients right now. I work on a very one-to-one basis. I know a lot of people like group, but what I love is the bio-individuality of women. Nobody is the same. Cookie-cutter programs, not the way that I work. And so that's how I really listen to them.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I look at their lifestyles. I look at how they grew up. up, what their even health IQ is. And that's why I work with them. But then what I noticed, and my friend and I noticed this, is that many practitioners are just not led on how to really work with clients. And so I work with the International Association for Functional Hormone Health, and I train practitioners about how to work with clients, how to have empathy, how to overcome obstacles that come up so that they can have the same success because I cannot help everyone. I don't have the time or capacity to do that. But I want people in their own culture, demographic, all of
Starting point is 00:30:34 those things to be able to support the women that are there, whether that's, or international, so whether that's in Africa, if that's in Europe, wherever it is, so they can support their people. So I help train them on how to work with hormones, but then I also train them how to have great client practitioner relationships. So Ascend Wellness is, obviously, you just said it, it's expanding globally. And I really like what you just said. You said that you're helping the practitioners to learn how to work with the women in their locations and their cultures, because there are some cultural differences that make a difference in how women look at different issues. Am I right about that?
Starting point is 00:31:24 Yes, absolutely. Culture really matters, even the way that their foods are created, the whole, their lifestyle, everything. I am not somebody who can say that I know every culture. And so I want to make sure that they can support them and really empathize, where I would not be able to empathize with certain cultures. because I don't know it. That makes a lot of sense. And what I really like about your system and your methods is that it is something
Starting point is 00:31:57 that it is expandable and personalized and customized in that way so that somebody can take the functional medicine and all of the different protocols of looking at how you would look at a person's health history and everything and then customize it. I find that really interesting. So if you were having a conversation with a woman who's like, I don't know what to do, my body is failing me, what would you tell her? If a woman came to me and said that her body was failing her, I would first, I always ask questions. I'm like, why do you think that? is really what it is. And so that's where it gets down to like, is it because somebody told her that? Or is it truly like a symptom base that she's like, my body is just failing? And so then from there,
Starting point is 00:32:56 I would, I usually will say it's not failing you. You just need to start commanding it and listening to it. And so that's what many women will come to me with that same thing that they feel they feel like failures in life. I'm like, you're just not. And that empathy matters so much. And I teach it to the practitioners. Empathy matters because the woman truly feels like she's failing. So you don't dismiss her. Just ask why.
Starting point is 00:33:27 So the big question is why. And then, of course, that leads to a lot of information, I'm sure. And I really like that. So what would you say, and again, there may be more than one, but what supportive habit or habits could somebody start like right now and even test it for seven days to see if it changes anything? So like we said, I would say I want you to sleep. I want you to really like have a nighttime routine. I will even ask that question, like take me through what a typical night. like an evening, sleep, morning looks like.
Starting point is 00:34:15 And really audit yourself and see what does that look like. Do you go to bed at 11 o'clock, but then you go to bed with your phone and you doomscroll until midnight and then you're like, I can't fall asleep. Well, that blue lights all over you. So what I want you to do instead is have a routine at night that truly supports you, whether that's I'm going to do my face care, my skin care, brush my teeth. I'm going to read a book in bed. I'm not going to have my phone with me.
Starting point is 00:34:43 And then I'm going to go to sleep. Something that is supportive, not something that's going to heighten you. When you're doom scrolling or you're checking your calendar for the next day, like, don't do it. I just want you to have a nighttime routine and go to sleep at the same time for seven days. So get rid of the electronics. If you want to do something, read a real physical book, if that helps you to calm down, have a routine, go to bed at the same time.
Starting point is 00:35:18 And then, of course, I imagine it would be great if you could get up at the same time in the morning, too. But if we have to choose one thing, let's just stick to that nighttime routine. Right. So I like that because it makes sense because I think that you've nailed it right. the people, their phone is like attached to them like 24 hours a day, it seems like. And I even get where people that they'll say to me, you know, you didn't answer your phone. It's like, well, no, it's not attached to me. You know, I do leave it someplace because I don't want to be on 24 hours a day. So where can people find you to work with you?
Starting point is 00:36:06 So you can find me at ascendwellness.co. That is my website. But also an easy way to connect with me is if you just look up my name on Instagram or LinkedIn. Either place is super easy. I just wanted to make it where some people will remember my name. Some people will remember Ascend Wellness. And so I wanted to make it where it's super easy for people to find me. So it's Sarah S-A-R-A-H, B-O-U-S-E, or Ascend Wellness.
Starting point is 00:36:37 And everyone, you can read the story that Sarah wrote about this big adventure. And I've read it and believe me, she left out all the details. And so you'll want to do that. And that is Elpa Queen's Rising. And Sarah, her story, is part of the entire book. And it's one of the, I'd say every chapter is very powerful, but it is one of the most powerful chapters in the book. And, of course, her journey to become who she is now.
Starting point is 00:37:22 you know, it's just a small part of the bigger picture and how she can help hundreds, if not thousands of women globally. And I think that's why Sarah, you're such an inspiration as an Elfa Queen rising. Also, Sarah will be speaking at a live event in Omaha, Nebraska on March 19th, along with some many other women. So that's something to look at too. Sarah, before I let you go, is there anything you'd like to say or remind people about? So the other thing that I like to tell people is that you can always book a discovery
Starting point is 00:38:09 call with me. It is 30 minutes and I am very honest where I will say whether I can help you or not. and if I can't, I will either lead you to somebody exactly who could or if you're like, I want to work with my doctor, but I don't know what to say, then I will help you to advocate for yourself in the medical field. And so that's where book a discovery call. It's on my website or even on my LinkedIn or Instagram. There's an easy way to do it because I love to connect with people.
Starting point is 00:38:41 And I am a person that's like, if we don't fit, you know what? We'll find something for you. That is the best way to handle it. So everyone, reach out to Sarah Bouse. And again, that is Sarah. S-A-R-A-H-B-O-U-S-E. Thank you so much, Sarah. I really enjoyed this. And I've learned a lot about just a lot in general about women and women's help and about just all the different things that we as women go through. And I especially like the fact that you made it so clear that we can take our own health into our own hands. And that there are people out there like you who can actually, you know, help us to speak to the other doctors or other physicians or other medical professionals in our lives. So I really think that that is a really great offer to have that discovery call with you so that you can get just some preliminary answers.
Starting point is 00:39:54 That's really phenomenal. So thank you so much, Sarah. Welcome. Thanks for having me. Everyone, this is Dr. Tamara Patzer. We'll talk to you soon. You've been listening to Women Innovators with Tammy Patzer. To learn more, please go to Womeninnovators Radio.com.
