So I just thought it's great to get you on the show to talk about this amazing topic. Carol, welcome.

Thank you so much, Mark. What a complete gift to have this conversation with you to be on your show. Thank you for having me. Thank you so much. The pleasure is all ours, Carol. So let's stop. by just sharing a little bit about who you are, how you serve the world,

you know, I'm 110, and I am just one of 11 kiddos to amazing parents now in heaven above. And what I do is we have a podcast, conversations with Carol, inviting people to come in to connect. You know, when we realize how connected we all are, I believe that we bring

much more peace and harmony and productivity. And I think that it's so important we realize how much we are alike. We actually have a beautiful series about surrender. I believe that there's enormous power in surrender. And I am here to serve. I'm grateful. I do coaching and many other things. But I'm just mainly glad to be here with you today.

Well, I'm so happy that you're here too, Carol. And some people struggle with surrendering, don't they? I know sometimes you want to control things and it's hard to let go. So let's talk about that a little bit, Carol. I find there is nothing. I have chills when I'm saying it, just thinking this. I get chills to. I believe that the power of surrender, not surrendering to give up,

but surrendering as a powerful tool to allow ourselves to relax into how much we are loved in my faith by God and heaven above and allow him to be there for us. He wants us to come to him. Surrender to me is the most powerful surrendering into each moment, surrendering into this incredible conversation, Mark, to be authentic, not to fight, not to hustle in this world of hustle. What is that good? Is that doing anyone?

Absolutely nothing. I think you're so right there. I think sometimes, especially when we're walking in faith and not by sight and growing our faith in God as well, I think sometimes we have to remember that we're not on our own. and sometimes if you're trying to control things, you're just doing it from that little character, Mark, rather than your, I am awareness, I call it, or that bigger part of you that is the God consciousness.

Do you agree with me there? Giving it up and surrendering it, allowing that to flow through you rather than trying to do it as little me, just mark on his own. Wonderful, Mark, is what I'm going to say. First of all, I'm covered and chills because of the conversation. With all my heart, I believe that our power lies in, you know,

starting out just being grateful for the day. I don't, I'm sure everyone you, and we've lost so many incredible loved ones. We can't make sense of it. We have this one day. It's the only one we know we have, and hopefully we have the entire day. And I believe that when we surrender into this day, knowing that there is a greater power for me, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, you know, in complete respect for all those of faith of love and light. And when we have this, thanks for the day, surrendering the temptation to the rush and the husband,

asking for help, for wisdom, to stay in one present moment at a time. This is surrender that has limitless power. This has, it's surrendering. I'm so grateful to have this conversation. I will be grateful later for the next conversation. But I do believe that there's nothing more powerful than surrendering and staying in each present moment. I think the present moment is very, very important.

And like you say, being grateful for the air, you breathe even like your coffee, that you drink on the morning. There's so many things to be grateful, even just. opening your eyes and waking up is a gift and so I think it's about remembering that there's so many blessings and sometimes we can miss those if we're not living our purpose and living from faith and love and I think that's so important Carol and I think as well yeah I think it's so important and trust in the journey sometimes you can't see the end of the journey but when you're surrender, you have to trust that everything's going to work out, even if your outer senses are not showing you evidence of it right now. You just trust that things are going to work out great,

don't you, Carol? You know, I really do. I do have a daily practice of surrender because we get caught up, right? So much good stuff going on or so many not good things going on. And maybe things are, you're like, what about this? What about this in my list? It's just like, let's remember to breathe because the list is ever growing. And I really believe if we stay in each present moment, one conversation at a time like this, I do believe that if we stay in each present moment, that we are able to remember, sure, not everything is perfect. But how about what can we do in this exact moment for ourselves and anyone else? You know, this is a gift to be in this present moment with you, Mark. And I'm so grateful for what you bring to the world

and to be a part of it because all that list of things that you need to do and all those people you need to help and all the things that are coming up, da, da, da, da, da, that list is getting longer. So let's do what we can in this moment. And you are correct. We're not sure of what the outcome will be. However, if we're worried about the outcome, we might not be doing what serves the outcome at its best if we're not in this present moment. I love that. That needs to be said again, Carol. So obviously, we can't control the outcome, but we can have a vision of it and trust in that vision of the outcome. That's right. But you don't want to try and control it or worry about it. you just stay in the present moment and just trust that being in the present moment and doing what we can in the best of the present moment that is supporting the outcourt the best possible outcome i love that carroll well you know it's the truth we only have the present moment it's the only moment we know that you and i have is this one right here and if we handle this the very best we can in it it's like we're in a garden right

You know, we're not going to see the outcome and some other stuff's going to come up. Those weeds are going to come out and we're just going to take care of them as they come. But if we're already anticipating the weeds, we're not even sure which ones they're coming or where they're going to come and maybe some won't. Let's stay in each present moment. It's the only moment we know that we have. Very, very important words. Now, I've seen you doing some really big, successful summits of. all around surrender with like some great companions of mine as well like Melissa Hevers and some

some other people we know as well. So just share a little bit about those events because they look really, really amazing. I'd love to be part of one of them as well, Carol. Oh, you know Mark, I'm a fan. You are always come, come, come. Anything we're doing, you are always invited. Everyone is invited because we are focusing on the power and the practice of surrender. And these are incredible stories of so much power. When we surrender not to something, we are literally surrendering what is not serving us. worry, rush, hustle, you know, thinking about tomorrow, we have today. We are surrendering into

each present moment and these stories, people come in and share their stories. We have the opportunity to practice. And trust me, I know for all of you that are listening, first of all, thank you. I'm such a fan of Mark and everything he does. What I'm not, what I'm saying is worrying is not going to help. Let's go into each day. Surrender for me, it is Father, Son, Holy Spirit, to a higher power. And ask to stay in each present moment, in each conversation, one at a time, and to to, we're in a garden basically in our lives. And if we are working in this garden of our life,

we are present. And we are cleaning out, weeding what's not working. We are nourishing, whether that be from the Word of God, a beautiful friend, eating healthy, whatever those choices are. It is, we are relaxing into a power greater than us. And we, it's not. ever just about us. We are all so connected. And if we're doing the best we can, let me, I just want to back up. I'm 110 and I wish I was telling you these things because I was always this, you know, yay and very wise. And I have made more mistakes, call it sinfulness, whatever you want to call it, than anyone listening to this. So please, I'm sharing you all. I'm sharing with you all from a place of literally from humility. I really with all my heart. I didn't know how to stay in each present moment.

So I was wasting the present. I was wasting these incredible conversations like the one we're having. I was thinking about the next thing or what I was sorry I did in the past. I promise if we surrender into each present moment and ask, I don't think I, I'm embarrassed, but happy to share. I don't think I was humble enough to say, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Please, dear God, help me. You know, I just really, I'm thinking I'm so wise and I'm going to do this. and I got all wrapped up into the hustle and all the things, right? And I'll tell you, this life is much simpler than that. And it's so much more beautiful than that.

I believe in conversation and prayer and present moment. And I wish I could tell you I got there from wisdom, but I got there through many sinful mistakes. And I think most people do, Carol, that's a very important point to make. And, you know, you can't change the past and even some bad things in your life when you look back and you think, well, actually, was that part of the divine plan to bring me to this divine place where I'm at now? And so everything always aligns up. So you should never feel guilty. Now that how sinful it is, I believe that we have a loving God, a loving source.

And I think here on earth, we're just here to learn and grow and we make mistakes. and not to judge ourselves or others for them. So I think that's so, so important, Kavillek, especially ourselves. We can be so hard on ourselves. I think it's really important that we let the past go, focus on the present moment, and have a good vision for the future,

but still stay in that present moment. Yes. Yes. Yes. Oh, I could not agree more. You know, I do believe that's why I love to have. have this conversation with you and to have the conversations of surrender. Because part of surrendering is surrendering what we know we could have done differently.

We need to surrender that, not carry it forward. Surrender that. And then make different changes moving forward. That's, you know, we are here. We're evolving and hopefully ever growing and sharing more love and light with one another. You love it. Absolutely. lovely. There may be people out there, Carol, who, you know, they may be going through stressful

times, not being able to stay in the present moment. They may be building an empire. They may build, building small business. Maybe they're just falling out of the present moment. However, that's how they are changed. You are, whomever you are. You are a precious child of God, I promise you. You are wanted. You are needed. You are, your story is needed.

you know, in this world, I think we get into comparison, or I did, and I don't anymore. My goodness gracious, listen, come tell your story. Let's tell it. Let's walk through it because you are loved, you are needed, your story is needed. You do have other people will connect through your stories. Come on. Come talk to Mark, come talk to me. Let's talk about your story and let's look for the light within it. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I know because there was a time I thought, you know, I'm not adding goodness. I'm not adding light. And yes, you are.

You actually are. And sometimes it's the darkest of dark before that light can pierce through. And you have such a beautiful light within you. I apologize. I'm getting kind of emotional, but I mean it. You are a child of God. You are needed. You're wanted.
