Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to influential entrepreneurs, bringing you interviews with elite business leaders and experts, sharing tips and strategies for elevating your business to the next level. Here's your host, Mike Saunders. Hello and welcome to this episode of Influential Entrepreneurs. This is Mike Saunders, the authority positioning coach. Today we have with us, Noel Futer, who's the author of the Animal Code. Noel, welcome to the program. Thank you so much, Mike, for having me.
Starting point is 00:00:32 You are welcome. I'm excited to talk about your book. I know this is like a life's work project for you and you put your heart and soul into it to help people become better in their personal lives and discover the path of purpose. So I'm excited to learn all about what went into the book. But get us started with a little bit of your story and your personal journey. Yes, sure. Thank you for asking. So what can I say my story, my personal journey is like.
Starting point is 00:01:02 to create the animal code and this book, now I'm 56 years old, it basically took all my life. So I was born in the late 60s as a volume baby. And in the 60s, it was normal that the doctor of a pregnant woman would, you know, if there was anxiety or something immediately give volume. Of course, today, we wouldn't do that anymore. But at the time, it was normal. So I was born with a very fragile health and became a child that was stayed at home. I couldn't actually leave home or was many times in hospitals and therefore was deprived
Starting point is 00:01:48 from going to kindergarten or school until I was about 10 years old and therefore deprived of social contact with other children, meaning that I was speaking to my family dogs and cats a lot. They were my best friends like my brother and sister. So by the time or through all my childhood, I spoke animal language. And these animals, my dogs and cats love me so much. And I love them so much. So we would sleep in bed together, be together all day long. And so then I recover, I would also say, with the grace of them and their love.
Starting point is 00:02:34 And I became like a normal girl going to school only at the age of 10. And then being a good girl, groomed in Switzerland, you know, schooled in Switzerland. So I became a private backer and was working very hard at this financial career as a Swiss trustee, as a Swiss private banker. So for about 15 years, I was working and thriving at that. And this became a comfort zone. You know, in Switzerland, you have a large community of bankers and financial trustees. So I was completely at home.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I felt safe. I was earning a lot of money. And I felt safe in this community. And then in my mid-30s, I found a stray dog, a little puppy on the beach in the Bahamas on my Christmas vacation, where I was with my then-boyfriend Toby and now husband Toby. And I was so in love instantly, like, shocked in love with this little puppy and rescued it and smuggled it home to Switzerland. And this was like an avalanche of a heart's calling that ended in leaving this financial career, becoming a small entrepreneur.
Starting point is 00:04:04 I created a dog sitting, grooming and training little company business for my dog, for Dili, who was very traumatized. And I created this company so she had friends and I could be with her all day long. and we could create a nice day together. So to integrate her into my work life. And then my husband, who was a filmmaker, he went to Romania of all countries in Eastern Europe to create a commercial movie. And there, of course, I went with him.
Starting point is 00:04:42 It was like a month's project in Romania. And I saw all these stray animals in the streets. It was horrible. I started to feed them the film catering food. And it was, I was in tears. I mean, I was getting sick being there, seeing this misery of these animals that the love I have for them was awakening, like on a new level. So I committed to do something for them and became, created the charity, the dog rose in Romania that is now 12 years later a big rescue guard. for stray animals in Romania. It's a project unlike any others. It's very successful and very,
Starting point is 00:05:29 very beautiful. I would say definitely unprecedented in Eastern Europe, if not even in Europe. And imagine I created this as a dog sitter. So I had a little savings from my life as a financial trustee and Swiss private banker, but I spent all these savings. on that charity project. And how did I create the animal code? You know, I realized that when I left my financial and social comfort zone, which was in Swiss private banking, for the love for this little stray puppy,
Starting point is 00:06:15 that it felt so scary. I was so scared. I felt so overwhelmed. I felt so terrified and helpless to giving myself or putting on myself a task that is like the people around me say to me, you're crazy. This is impossible. You will never succeed. You will make yourself unhappy. You will get sick.
Starting point is 00:06:45 You know, I heard all kinds of rational, well-meant. advices from my surroundings and and still I was like, no, I want to do this. This was my first experience of feeling in my heart a calling, a path of purpose. And I realized that with all my loved ones, family, friends being so against me, if I wouldn't have had my beloved husband now or boyfriend at the time, Toby, I probably wouldn't have done it. So I realized you need in your life at least one significant, meaningful relationship. And you need a practice. You know, as a private banker and financial trustee, it was okay for me to have a healthy
Starting point is 00:07:44 lifestyle, fairly healthy, you know, not falling into drinking too much wine because as a private banker you have, you groom your clients to lunches and dinners and everyone wants to drink wine. So it's like no, stay with water, you know, and do some sports. And this was enough for me. I didn't need more of a practice to thrive at my job or be comfortable in my life. But with that kind of task, out of comfort zone, path of purpose. I needed at least one meaningful relationship stand by me and an inner practice to learn how not only
Starting point is 00:08:27 my husband or boyfriend at the time stand by me, but me stand by me. So I am confident, clear, you know, believe in myself, saying, okay, I put myself, I gave myself a task to accomplish. I want my life to matter. I want to create an impact in this planet for who I love the animals. And I need some help. I need support. And the animal code is an inner practice that support you if you love animals. I love it. And you know, the thing that you mentioned that kind of brings that whole story together is you tied in different points in your life from being a small child and relating so closely and deeply with your pets and then being in business. And then when you got out of the financial space, noticing there was a gap. And then now you started to
Starting point is 00:09:33 connect the dots, right? You started going, well, if there is something I can pour my heart and soul into and help animals and use that approach. Now that helps fill in a gap. And then now this animal, at what point, I guess it makes me think of this question, at what point did you think I need to put all of this together into a type of a system and a blueprint or like you call it the animal code? What triggered that for you?
Starting point is 00:10:00 Well, what triggered this for me, I can tell you exactly. because it was the year 2013, November 2013. I never forget that. And there, my beloved stray puppy, Dili, died of lung cancer. And the dog rose charity that I created in 2011 was in a state where it wasn't working. We didn't have enough donations. I didn't have the right team in Romania to really do this hard of a job. And I was broke.
Starting point is 00:10:43 We were going broke. And I was so depressed. I felt like as if I fell into a black hole and nothing can pull me out. And I remember at the time my husband coming home seeing that I'm, just lying in bed, not answering the phone. I couldn't move. Every little task, even do a phone call, I started crying. I felt completely burnt out, you know, like broken. And I remember my husband coming to me, looking at me and say, your grief about Dilley having died and passed. And your stress about this charity is killing you. And don't you want to stay alive for us, for me?
Starting point is 00:11:39 And then I realized that I couldn't say yes. It was the fears took over. And although I love my husband, I didn't feel the strength anymore to stay alive. And in this way, moment. I remember at night I had a dream and two huge tigers came to me, white tigers. And it was like they lie on top of me and tell me, you will not die now. We are right with you. And you have the strength and the heart-centered power to get up now. And the next morning got up. Wow. And I got up and I flew to Romania and fired my team at dog rose.
Starting point is 00:12:40 I started to clean shit of 150 animals all alone in the rain there with my husband. And I remember, I suddenly, and I don't think I just work and cry. and my strength was back. And suddenly I hear this voice of a lady saying, hello, hello, are you the crazy Swiss who rescue animals? And I'm like, yes. And there is this beautiful lady. She looked like an angel with high heels makeup.
Starting point is 00:13:17 And she said, I'm a vet here. Do you want some wet help? And I'm like, it's raining. you are like beautiful makeup high heels. I mean, do you want to get dirty? And she's like, yeah. And she put on boots, called all her friends. And like two, three hours later, we were done. And now she is the shelter manager of the dog rose. And we're together ever since, as like my sister. So it means something to have meaningful relationships in your life and being a path of purpose. It's fantastic. And if I can serve anybody else to get through this breakthrough and believe in
Starting point is 00:14:01 themselves and their powers and that there is a higher power to serve them when they need it, I'm here for that. Awesome. It makes me think, too, of when you say relationships and, you know, discovering your path of purpose, how do the principles of the Animal Code specifically help the individuals, improve relationships. Because I feel like you've got your personal experience that you've experienced with your animal code. What is it about these codes that you then are able to teach other people to help them improve their relationships?
Starting point is 00:14:41 Oh, that's a great question. Thank you so much for that. Yes. So in 2014, I spoke to a... When, no, not let's not say that. When my Dilley died in 2013 and I was in this deep grief, I spoke to her because I'm an animal communicator since a child. So even she's dead, I could feel her in my heart.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I mean, if you are a pet lover or you love your dog or cat, you know this. You feel your animals. And I remember Dehli telling me, you need to practice, you need a teacher, you need a master, you need more help, you need a spiritual practice. So I started looking for an enlightened master, for a true spiritual master who could help me practice. So in 2014, I met Her Holiness Simon, the enlightened master. Her Holiness Saima and became a disciple of her holiness Saima. And with her holiness Saima and in this community, I learned ancient teachings of relationship dynamics.
Starting point is 00:16:10 So I learn about relationship tubes, about fear-based patterns, about love-based patterns. And in my 12-week animal code practice, the middle four weeks are only dedicated to relationship dynamics. And so I blend the animal code like the animals, like your animal guides, like a dragonfly, to come to you in deep meditation. And when you connect to a dragonfly, a dragonfly has a 36 degree vision. And with that superpower, you look at your relationships. And you see what kind of energies are in the relationship tubes, fear-based or love-based. And this, in the animal code, the teachings, the ancient teachings of her holiness Siamah are integrated in my own words.
Starting point is 00:17:26 As I'm also an awakened life guide and a Maria Magdalena practitioner, which is a form of an energy healer initiated and certified by her holiness Siama. So Her Holiness Simea will tell us, take these words, these ancient truth and bring it into your own expression, bring it into the world. So the animal code is my own expression of that. And these teachings are integrated in it. You know, I think that so many times people hear something. And the first thing they think is, oh, I've heard that before. You know, when you hear quality of relationships improve and discovering your path of purpose, you can probably Google that and see millions of results and find all kinds of books and courses. What is it about the Animal Code and your unique approach that makes it different than other personal development programs out there?
Starting point is 00:18:28 Well, this is also a super question. I mean, I would say that there are so many fantastic coaches. on this planet, thank God. And we need, as a humanity at the moment, all the service, if you want to call it help, we can get to raise our frequency. So first of all, I'm tremendously grateful for all my colleagues to be here as well, offering these kind of services for, you know, to serve you, how to improve your relationships, how to move into a path of purpose, which is ultimately move into the becoming of you.
Starting point is 00:19:16 So that's fantastic. Now, my unique approach, I would say, is not really about me as a person. It's about the animal kingdom. So if you say, for example, well, I'm in a situation in a relationship with my boss, where I feel bullied, where I feel a power disbalance, where I don't feel we meet each other at eye level, and I feel there is nothing I can do. Now, if you, let's say, come to me with that, and me as a guide, I take you into a meditation where you go deeper into your heart and you meet your beloved lion guide.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And you align to this sovereign, powerful strength and courage of your lion, confidence of your lion. If you hear your inner lion saying, hey, Mike, I'm right next to. you. And then you see another line guide coming up. I'm right next to you. And you feel this peaceful strength in your whole system. You feel fiercely independent and sovereign. And with that emotional, mental and physical sense of being with your lion. You go to your boss and you say, listen, out of this and this reason, I would like this and this to happen differently. Can you please hear me? And if your boss says yes and hears you, fine. If he says, no, I don't hear you. Fine, because you now have the courage to walk away from any situation which is not right or doesn't honor your soul or yourself as a human being.
Starting point is 00:21:50 That's pretty powerful. Can you think of a example of when you've worked with a client or someone coaching them on the animal codes where they had some success implementing them? in their life. Oh, I mean, Mike, imagine my Alice, shelter manager and vet at dog rows in Romania with the responsibility of 400 stray animals, with a team, with connecting to vets all over the world to come over and volunteer and help her spay hundreds of animals every weekend. Somebody like, like Alice, who works 24-7, rescuing animals on the streets, seeing the misery of the animal kingdom in Romania, children. I mean, we have many children coming to us. If she doesn't stand in her sovereign, heart-centered power being held by the animal kingdom, by a dolphin, her dolphins,
Starting point is 00:23:03 who give her joy, who remind her to enjoy life. You know, Alice tell me, you have these 12 animals, Noel, and we practice every week together. But to me, there comes a turtle. Can I speak to the turtle? Of course. And this turtle, her power animal coming to her, say, slow down. We've got this. Feel protected.
Starting point is 00:23:30 I'm here. How else can we not a break? but thrive so far out of our comfort zone in our path of purpose. If we don't have each other and if we don't have that minimal kingdom, this majestic energy next to us reminding us of who we are like a bridge to our soul. It must make it very rewarding for you to be able to pass along helpful guidance to people that clarify their life purpose and make their world around them even better? This is my life purpose. I know I came for that because I believe in humanity. I believe we can do better.
Starting point is 00:24:26 And I believe that we move all together into our awakening and to creating a beautiful planet for nature, for the animal kingdom, for ourselves, I know that we have the ability to value ourselves and to believe in ourselves. And I came to serve in this capacity. I love it. Well, Noelle, it's been such a pleasure talking with you.
