No, man, I prefer reality. We needed this. There's a reason for this loss. I want you to look at me in the eye and tell me you would rather have lost last weekend than one. I want you to say that again for everyone. Oh, live in the past, man. Of course, I watched Beamer's press conference. You don't have to recite the transcript of his press conference.

I saw it. I want to know how you feel. I mean, I want to win every week. And this week is Alabama. Last week, they don't do anything for me. Fair enough. You're right. I wanted to win last week, and I would have won by three.

We had a Darius Rucker on the show. I saw that, Dolphin, you, dolphin, dolphin shirt. Dolphin shirt, bigger South Carolina fan. And he speaks the exact same way as J.P. Like, all of Kock Nation operates the way J.P. does. He is a voice of the nation. Yeah. It's insane to see.

His text is just verbatim what he said in his press conference. Everyone else is, did you see Joey's press conference? So I'm like,

I don't have contact lenses in yet. I pull up the Texas Tech Press conference. Boom. Calls me out. Keep picking against us. He's my buddy and all. Keep picking against us. Keep it up, Pey.

And they're rich eyes and clipped that and sent it to me as a text tone for when Joey texts me from now. Oh, no. I don't even know. What am I supposed to do? I said they don't look like they've looked so far through three games that they looked like last year. I'm right.

I think. Yeah. I said the Big 12 is fairly wide open. I'm right. I think we're third of the way, quarter of the way through the season. Just a quarter. So, yeah, it's just, it's not icy. It's just frosty.

You've always said you'd rather be right than make friends. And it seems like you're doing that. Yeah, maybe I need to go the route of, I think I'd just rather lose. I'd rather lose than when. Maybe I need to go that route. There you go being nasty route. It's a fun route. It's a fun route.

Will is the vibes guy. And Josh feels like, Josh feels like that Brad Pitt scene in Ocean's 11 where he's teaching the actors at the table how to play poker. It started so nice. It started so nice. It's kind of true, though.

No problem. Josh makes everything sound very good. He does. He does. Yeah, he speaks polar. And I am vibes. Made that Auburn under sound great last week. And then there we are with the winner

in the mid-40s. I know you're hanging out. I feel the same way about Mississippi State Minnesota a couple weeks ago. But it also like, if you're telling me, Florida's gonna run the ball over 50 times and they're gonna have 16 penalties, that feels like an under game.

And this, you have Jaden Baugh. And Jaden Baugh is the best back in college football right now. Really, there's only two carries that popped. Really, he had another touchdown, a 60-yard touchdown that got called back via another penalty. Oh, so that one didn't count.

He has the most broken tackles in all of college football. And he's playing against a team this year, this year has the most mistackles. What I'm hearing is I was basically right. What you're hearing is you were wrong. But there's stats and I'm starting to feel like stats lie. All the time and the kids and coaches screw up all the time. That's fair.

It's gonna happen again this year. Is it? Looks that way. Do we want to get into the game? Should we start talking a little bit of ball? Let's talk some. It's loaded. The first one I'm looking at here is Texas at Tennessee.

This is where Busting and Payne on campus will be from two to three Eastern on Friday before this game, this is where the don't tread on me. Don't tread on Saturdays. Don't do either. I think we move away from this one. I think we hold this one. Don't start with that one. Let's go to Oklahoma, Georgia.

Georgia's favored by 13.5 points. The total in that game is 48 and a half. Where are we sitting, boys? How are we feeling? Pass. So last night, we were breaking this game down on my show, and I had Jesse click on the more wagers part here, because I wanted to know what Oklahoma's team total was.

And last night, I believe it was at 14 and a half. And I'm asking myself, self, how does Oklahoma score 16 points? Because that's essentially what we're saying they're going to get to here if they hit the over. And this is kind of like when Oklahoma played Michigan a couple of weeks ago. The first half total is still 14 and a half. The first half total was over under 21 and a half, which I thought was insane. So like my favorite bet on the game was the first half under. I think my favorite bet on this game is probably Oklahoma team total under 14 and a half

and just like take all the nonsense out of it, but that's not how we roll on the show. But you kind of just got your bet out there for people. Well, I did. Are you going to bet the bet you just said that we're not going to roll that way on the show on? I already bet it. Okay, so it's already bet it. As soon as I got off the show last night, I bet it. That was how to get done right there.

I just have no confidence. There are two teams going on the road this week in the SEC. One of them will get two later. One of them we're on right now. That it doesn't really take a whole lot of analysis. I don't really know how you dive deep in the X's note. right now. Oklahoma's bad. There are several instances of returning quarterbacks in the SEC that seem like they've regressed. They didn't even stay the same. Nope, nope, nope, nope. I didn't

mention anybody by now. I didn't mention anybody by name. I may have given an accurate scouting report which led you to believe I was talking about someone. Yeah. But I didn't mention anyone by name except for John Matier. Well, look, I was all in on John Matteer. So you were you you've you loved him. And he's screwed up so far this year. So far. And so because of him, I look bad, which is not fair to me. No. But I got to wear it.

So I'm going to take Georgia minus 13 and a half. I'm going to take two units on that. And I think Georgia could probably handle that by scoring 24, just to be safe. Get 24 on the board. So you are fully off. John Mateer. Yeah, I'm out. Arbuckle.

You're done with it. I don't even know if it's been R buckle. Maybe it is. I think he's just between. I lean that it's when I'm watching their film. I'm starting to lean a little bit more R buckle than I am Mateer. Now, Matir, like accuracy issues, they're very much there. But even against New Mexico last week, I clipped through, dude, every third down twice.

And they just line up and run a play. There's no motion. There's not anything to try and get your guy who is a little inaccurate, but do anything to schematically get somebody open. Because they're blocking for them. It's not like the O lines that bad. They hold up for them most of the time. When I'm looking at this game, it's not, you know, obviously they have a lot of issues on offense,

but defensively, like this will be the first front that Georgia plays where somebody can hold the point of attack. Yeah, where you can stack the line of scrimmage and stop the run. You can rush the passer. They're successful on third down. I think this is going to be a big, like, second and long, third and medium game. I trust Gunner Stockton way more. But again, Oklahoma's defense will be able to get Gunner to operate in a phone booth a lot of the times, which is getting out there and beating them on the perimeter.

I like the under in this game, 44.5. Because if Oklahoma does cover, then that means their defense is going to be playing out of their mind. They're still probably going to, you know, whether it's 14 points, 17 points, 21 points. It's a low scoring game for me. So I'm going to take the under. I'm going to go total on this game. I like Georgia. Georgia is a buzz saw.

Yeah. They can, I mean, they run through your face. Gunner Stockton, they are, what, 66% on third down. They stay ahead of schedule. Their defense is good. And they'll look damn good. against Oklahoma's offense. Yeah, but the thing that worries me

is they haven't really played anybody to the point where they're an SEC play last week and they're doing defensive line drills in the fourth quarter during TV timeouts. They didn't even do it for show either. Like they didn't make a big deal about it. Someone happened to bring it up so Kirby had to acknowledge it.

Otherwise, that would have just been them going about their business. Creebby goes, listen, if you're gonna do, you have to talk to the D-Line coach. Like they just feel like they're not getting enough work. And that is one of the more disrespectful things that have ever been said that wasn't even intentional about being disrespectful. I agree, I think Gunnors Stockton,

Like you put on the Arkansas game. He just, he looks like he's playing the game. And he's, everyone just seems a lot slower than him. He's, he's able to see the defense well. If he knows pressure's going to get to him at a certain point, he gets out. And it seems like he jogs for 30, 40 yards. But on the back end of the defense, there's, there's a lot of missed opportunities that Arkansas had.

And I'm not saying Arkansas could have been in that game because the talent is just, there's such a big differential there. But there's a lot of things to be had. And the thing that made Oklahoma successful last year were the X place that John Metteer was able to have with deep shots down the field, Sotania, and him running around. I think they need to be more creative pre-snap, like you were just saying. They need to have more emotions. They need to kind of see a better picture pre-snap before they can kind of dissect everything else. But I would go back to, and this is kind of weird, but I would go back to more

of a backyard-style football and Matured, give them one or two reads. And if it's not there, go make something happen with your legs. Because when you make it happen with your legs, you can gain yardage that way, or there can be breaks that happen in the back end of the defense, where Cetania has been extremely successful. I think at the end of day, it comes down to this defense, and this defense is incredible. I think they are going to be able to rush the passer. I'm a huge fan of Georgia's offensive line from a run-blocking standpoint.

Speed is not their friend on the edges when it comes to getting, like being able to play in space, play a little bit of basketball in a pass-for-a-s situation. I think Georgia will win this game, but this is like a true A-GAP scenario where Venables on Monday does his press conference. And he probably got asked four questions, And the whole press conference is 32 minutes. Like he is breaking down everything to Stone, he was hurt,

he got his knee banged up in a walkthrough, he's gonna be just fine. Yeah, Kip Lewis, he's out, but Cole Sullivan he's gonna be in, this is what he does well. Like, he is breaking down essentially the entire game plan, because you can see the frustration

and the culture that he's trying to instill in these guys. I think is dead as John Mateer seems, I think he's got a little bit of fight left in him. I don't think he's gonna go out like this, He was in my A gap last week. He is more than ever in the A gap. I can see them holding on a plus 13 and a half here. So I'll take Oklahoma to cover.

And I'm going to put two on that. What did you go with? Oh, I'll go three. Three on the under. Yeah. Three on the under. Three on the under. Because this game, it's not going to be fun to watch.

Like, yes. And we thought it was going to be a premier game. Yeah. Like four weeks ago. Everybody was headed. Dude, I'm actually excited to see this game. Because Georgia, like, you know, like, You're kind of talking about them on the edge too at tackle.

Like how many, you know, how many of those situations will they be in throughout the game? Because, dude, they can run the ball. Like Nate Frazier is a pissed off running back. Nate Frazier is so fun to watch because you don't even need to see the number. You just see the burst when he decides where he's going to go. And you're like, oh, that's an NFL running back. Yeah. He is incredible.

My opinion about Georgia is the exact same as it was before we started the year. You got them, what, missing the playoffs? I know. They're going to be in the SEC championship. they're going to go the playoffs. I just still have not seen like the perimeter, like the juiced in the perimeter. But who was your SEC championship when we did the futures?

Was it like LSU and Texas? LSU Georgia, wasn't it? It was LSU Georgia, yeah. Oh, you had Georgia in there. It's still the same to me. So what you're saying tracks historically, like this is the spot. When you have a prideful program, not an upstart that's just disappointing,

but like a program with the gravitas of Oklahoma. Gravitas. Gravitas. What does that mean? I don't know. We'll Google it later, but let them cook. It's kind of like Michigan. If Michigan is down going into week two this year, Michigan's down, everyone thinks they're dead in the water, how are they going to function offensively?

There's like a certain pride factor about those kinds of programs where they don't let it go that easy. They may not end up winning as many games as you thought they would, but when their backs against the wall and when they're in wounded animal mode, they usually deliver above and beyond expectation. So it was Oklahoma that suffered that at the hands of Michigan. Michigan in week two. That's the exact spot Oklahoma's in right now. They're not coming off a loss, but they're coming off a really uninspired effort against New Mexico. They're coming off a loss before that against Michigan. Their own people have sold. Their own people are looking and saying, there's nothing to this offense. It's dead in the water. And you are, you, I actually think you may have talked me into Oklahoma Plus. Really? I actually think I want to very, very slightly go

across zero. So we're across the river and go Oklahoma plus 13 and a half for one unit. Not to win the game. Super ugly game. I do think that there's a lot to be said for lack of explosivity on the perimeter for Georgia. So lack of game breaking potential to where if Oklahoma's defense can force even one short field and they can cash in even once, we've seen their special teams all year. Like their special teams can pin you deep. They've done it all year. I think it could be enough to keep it within the margin. They play the same game too with Michigan, Oklahoma, where they were just kind of backed up the whole time because they were kind of, Michigan was kind of just control in the middle of the field. And came down to turnovers. The other thing that you mentioned was,

okay, so if John Mateer's current modus operandi is not working, why don't you just, yeah, take him to, take him to the playground. You took that call back and you're now ripping You're turning it up a notch. He took that Brad Pitt comment. Yeah, exactly. He's how to play some poker right now. Why don't you do what Texas did with Arch in the second half of the Ohio State game? When all else fails, just let him play the way he did in high school.

There's a lot of risk to that. But the whole context here is you're already down. You already have sort of nothing to lose. And that's his wheelhouse. He stops thinking. And maybe, just maybe, you end up in a position where you score 17 and just, and George is completely bogged down. They can't move the ball on you.

Maybe your plus one turnovers. Maybe your special teams came through for you. You actually got a shot to pull it out Saturday. The thing that sent me over on this one was the Oklahoma offensive line being as injured as they are. But putting on Georgia's defensive line, when they just rushed for,

when they had just their D-Lyman, they're still not getting there. They had to bring pressure every time. But when they're bringing pressure, they're in buddy's face. Their linebackers are incredible, no doubt. And New Mexico's front seven got after Oklahoma's run game. I think people need to respect New Mexico.

I'm with you. I agree. But Georgia and New Mexico? I'm with you. Both beautiful states. Both beautiful. I don't know about New Mexico. And I was laughing earlier too.

You're like, you know, look at the playbook for Arch Manning in the second half of Ohio State. Like, you got to put John Mateer in those backyard situations. And all that's going to my head is you got to put them in fourth and six and fourth and nine. That's exactly what you got to do. go, give them some got to happen or it's all over. Go. can they do they have the horses can hawkins be a superhero over and over and over again that little swan what did you so you played for rich what is your feel of this entire tempo zone read like i think it's good like a flash in the pan good wow yeah but for it to work like i'm just not a believer i think for if you're in west virginia you're in the big 12 i think it's the perfect type of offense with that way if you have the athlete you do and there's hawkins kid that is extremely elusive. He's like a, he's like a Trinidad in a lot of ways where

there's multiple guys there and he can still get away from from rushers. And he has a, he's not as good as Trinidad. I saw that. I was going to say the arm of Trinidad. Like he don't, Hawkins don't have this. But he has the, he's very elusive in that sense where it's like, it takes multiple guys to bring him down. He's one guy out in open space is not going to be able to tackle him. That's where the tricky stuff of Rich Rodriguez and the pace where they're going faster than anybody else. else, that's where they gain their edge. Now, the bad part is, is when you don't, from an offensive standpoint, are able to move the ball

and score quickly, you're putting your defense in a really bad spot because they're on the field way more. That's kind of where I sit. But this quarterback from Oklahoma State, I love them. And I know the first game, it is what it is. I think you bundle up, you throw it out the window. But this kid can run. He can throw a beautiful football.

He makes great decisions. He diced up a team that I picked to win the national championship this year. I love West Virginia. like they're running back, but it really comes down to a mess to maker. And I think he, I think he's the difference maker in this game and I'm taking them. I'll go three units. Oklahoma State Money Line. And yeah, I love it. I like the, I like the Pokes big time here. I think their offensive line is extremely physical. I think their defensive line is a bunch of

fourth and fifth year guys that get after the quarterback that took Oregon's offensive line and handled business there. And if they can corral this young Hawkins cat, I think it's going to be a good win for them. Him, it's like him, it's him or Cam Cole. Like, if you can just get lined up as fast as possible, read your keys. Because it's all inverted, veer, option run game. I'm going to Oklahoma State too. Like Drew Mestemaker, Justin Bowick, 6-5.

6-5, what, 210 pounds? He's essentially, he's got some Josh Allen to him the way he plays the game. Oh, yeah, Drew. And then where did Josh Allen come from? Wyoming. Exactly. So we got two schools that no one really thinks about yet we're making comparisons and we're laughing about it. These guys are elite, elite athletes falling around here. Mostly Mastermaker, I can get with you on the West Virginia comment. I can get with you. is what I'm trying to get out.

Hawkins's got a couple of weeks before he's Trinidad Chamble. Couple. Yeah. You actually make me right about Mastonaker. Yeah. Messermaker is nice, dude. Why not just go over? I'll do the money line plus the over.

under center power NFL style offense to we're going to open it up and run all over the place. Rich Ruea's did not get a good night's sleep the entire time he was at Michigan. The minute we lost the game, it was they hated him. He got tore up. So I don't think he looks back

his time at Michigan very fondly, as do Michigan fans. Yeah, bringing the spread tempo. So maybe he just wiped me from his brain. In 2000, when was that? 2009 and 2010. Yeah, it can't be doing that. Can't be you get the end of the end.

The over under the total in this game is 58 and a half. Ole Miss, I mean, as good a resume as anybody in the country right now, and they're underdogs on the road after beating LSU. Over a field goal underdog. Yeah. Are the Gators for real for real? Is there a glitch in Fanduals software? I'm glad you asked.

I called him yesterday. Did you? This is not a joke. I called Fandualhiel yesterday. We got Fandual Mike on the phone because I know what's happening here. Obviously, in normal circumstances on a neutral field, they would have Ole Miss favor. They think Ole Miss is better than Florida in a normal circumstance. But since this is not a neutral field,

field and since it's in Gainesville, they have to tack on three for Florida. But even then you would look at that and say, okay, but if I subtract three off of this, that still implies Florida as a slight favorite on a neutral field. So I call Fandau, I said, all right, in addition to all the normal stuff, how many additional points have you baked in here for like a special one-off super letdown moment? Because this is like a special circumstance type of point spread. Everyone, everyone understands that. He said three whole points for the Lane Kiffin, We just beat them. It's a letdown spot.

We're on the road against an upstart team. Three additional points have been baked in. Is it too many is the question that you have to be asking yourself? How much do you think the letdown really matters? Because all it takes is Trinidad Chambleis gets them up 14-0. All that's wiped out. All the letdown stuff's wiped out. Or conversely, you guys watched Florida Auburn last week.

You saw Florida get after Auburn physically. So like my concern in a letdown. spot normally in college football especially is not whether guys will be focused the next Saturday. It's did you go through something so emotionally and physically taxing the previous Saturday that you let your foot off the gas from a preparation standpoint to where if you play a physical opponent the next week, you can't match their physicality because that's when you get buried. Florida is the kind of team that can do that. The swamp is the kind of environment that can do that. This is the first ranked versus ranked game there since 2022 by the way.

That was Will Levis and Kentucky of all players and teams. Shout out Will Levis. Yeah. So I'll tell you where my mind's at on this. Oh, that thing came down to 58 and a half. What's crazy, too, is you know the majority of the public is on Ole Miss. Do you think they are? I think they will be too, actually.

I think you're right. You see the public what? The majority of the public is on. Like, money is on Ole Miss. It's kind of hard after what we saw last week to not believe that Ole Miss is a contendium. team. Do we walk away in Florida? We walk away from the Florida Auburn game and think, okay, that's a national contending team. I'm about to fade the whole board, so go ahead. Well, I walked away from Florida

Auburn saying they just sacked Byron Brown seven times tonight. There's no way that that carries over. Trinidad Chambliss is as good as any quarterback in America at avoiding sacks. Almost as good as Hawkins from West Virginia. Basically tit for tap. Yeah, you're the same guy. Different conferences. Yeah, I'm just ahead of the curve. Yeah, there you go. So the Byron Brown, Trinidad, Chambliss, safe to say two different players. So I don't think Florida is getting after Trinidad Chamblis and getting into the ground nearly to the degree they did last week. But on the flip side, Byron Brown had two something through the air.

He had a fair amount of success throwing the ball in Florida. Florida secondary is low-key still really suspect. And so Trinidad Chambliss could have a field day there. I really want to know if Kiwan Lacey's going in this game. Because to me, that's not the end of the world if he doesn't, but that changes things pretty drastically. but I'm asking myself, how many points, if Florida wins this game, how many points do you think it will have required them to score? Because I think the minimum's like 38. If you press Trinidad Chamis for four quarters, if it gets into the type of deep end, four quarter, old miss is trailing

and they're empty in the chamber. To me, they're scoring 35 at least in that scenario. To me, you've got to have 38 at least if you're Florida. So I keep running through all that in my head. And I'm like, let's see, Ole Miss already had 38 hung on them against Louisville in week one. So I've seen team score. I like what Philo and Buster Fulton are doing right now. I love the yard after catch ability, not to mention just the flat out receiver ability that they have. So there's a lot to like offensively about both sides. And then I see a total in the upper 50s.

And I'm like, don't overthink the room. Just slap the table for the over. All right. 58 and a half. Kind of a casual slap. Under. 58 and a half. That's my favorite play of the week.

It's my favorite play of the week. After, Josh just said all the things. I just said I'm fainting the entire board. Because he's right, like the wide receivers of Florida elite. Singleton. I think Singleton's coming back. Yeah, singleton. Yeah, that's fine.

Oh, and now you mean another offensive weapons coming back? Love it. Hey, can you please explain me? I personally feel like it's just a massive letdown spot overall. Like Florida, running the ball 50 plus times, a very physical game against Auburn. I think it takes, it's going to have some sort of toll because as much of an emotional win that Ole Miss had against LSU, I feel like Florida's got to be in it, not like a in the same sphere, but a similar situation to where this is, to me, it's, it's going to be bad, we're going to see a bad first half. I like the under here. I just like the under. I'm fading to all of it. So let me just see, your logic is that both teams had emotional games so both of their gameplays are going to go down. Correct. That's your logic. Correct. But wouldn't a similar logic be to that? if Ole Miss is here from a talent standpoint and Florida is here from a talent standpoint,

and they both just do this, the points will still go because the defense on the Ole Miss side plays a little slower, but so does. It's kind of the same game just at a slower speed instead of being at 10, you turn to nine for both teams. We'll see what happens. There's no, okay, there's no response to that. It makes sense in my brain. Yeah. It makes sense in my brain. That's all that matters. That's all that matters. I want to give a lot of respect to Florida's defensive line. Like I kind of sat here last week before the game and I was like they seem like Velcro in a lot of ways with the offensive line. Like when they go against the offensive line. They don't get a lot of pressure. What's his heritage? African. So to Will,

yeah, to Will's comment they got their African back. Number 99. Incredible ball player. Must it with the boys. Yeah. We're having fun. We have fun here. Nothing like three white guys in a studio saying they got their African back. I mean he's a dog. For old miss like it was a lot of the question marks for me was like who's going to step up outside of Deuce Alexander. and Caleb Odom and of a handful of other guys did in that game. Trinidad just strikes me as a guy that never gets too high, never gets too low. He handled it the entire week that way.

He seemed that way during the game poised with LSU. He seemed that way after the game as well. Key 1 Lacey being out is like a worry for a second, but then you realize that just means Trinidad's going to have the ball on his hand more. So is that actually a fear or they become more dangerous that way? And then there's a secondary for Florida. So all the things you said, I lean heavily on Old Miss plus three and a half. I have a lot of respect for Florida and what they were able to do because the box score didn't say the same.

Didn't say what the game actually was against Auburn. I think they handled that game. But I'll go five on 58 and a half. I'll do the over as well. We're going over. We're going over. We got five points of confidence across the board. Across the board in opposite directions.

A 15 unit showdown. First we've ever had. This is beautiful. This is how Wilcompton gets back. exactly right. This is the path you need. This is what you need to happen. Who needs parlayes when you're just going to go just telling y'all boys is going to be under. I'm just telling y'all boys. And I'm trying. The thing about the Ole Miss plus three and a half too, it's like, that feels like if you didn't watch any of the games this weekend. Like that's clearly the move

right there. Yeah, but see, you would have talked to yourself. This is where this is where you got to be so dialed in week to week because you can easily envision yourself over the summer saying, all right, let's see, Ole Miss plays LSU week three. Dude, if Old Miss wins, that I'm auto-fading them in week four when they go to Florida. But that's in the summer. When you get into the weeds, when the live bullets are flying, when there's noise all over the place, you've got to think in the moment. Because I would have said that.

I would have said, they're going to play Florida the week after. They're going to play LSU. If they win that game, I don't care what the number is. I'm going to auto-fade. There it is. And I'm not auto-fading. It's staring you right in the face. I'm instead going to guess that it's going to be like 26 to 20 at halftime, and I'm just going to

take the over. It's going to be like 13-10. end of the half time. It still may go over. It still may go over. That is a scary part. We need to agree. We need to agree to this now.

Actually, the three of us. So this is clearly going to be the difference in the leaderboard this week. So I feel like this game's going to drastically go one way or the other. Either it's going to be an easy under or an easy over. We just need to decide now who initiates the group text at the end of this. I think it has to be Will, right? Yeah, I think so too. Yeah.

And it'll be, I tried to tell y'all. Send that text no matter what. Send that text no matter what. Because that's the, like, I kind of hope it works out for you, but that's one of the crazier bets I've seen. Yeah. Like, I just want, I wish. Like, no matter what, it's going to be so obvious.

You know what I mean? I'm in the whole 15 units. No, even if the underhits, it's like, it wasn't. It wasn't obvious. No. That was like, some deep brain thinking, Josh paint big words like that. You, like, it had to be so like, ones and zeros. What if John Summerall's at the podium post game and the Florida offense is totally bogged down?

And they get beat like 3113. And he says, you know what killed us today is getting Eric Singleton back. Wilcompton was right. We got to the weapon back. We didn't know what to do with the weapons. We had no idea what to do. And then the argument of they're getting a weapon back in the middle of fighting for the under. No smile.

And I tried to tell you. And I said before I even, before I even said, I'm taking the under. I'm fading the entire board this week. You faded yourself. You faded your own argument. I know. Under. Why?

They're getting Singleton back. Big lead down spot. Both teams. Big lead down spot. I kind of want to go to the gravely game. If Florida's just going to run the ball 60 times, just watch. Just a fun note. There's a level to this game.

Just a fun note on this game. Preseason yes preseason Oregon minus six and a half two weeks ago you USC minus one and a half. This week, Oregon back to three and a half.

What does it mean? Which quarterback would you rather have? From what you've seen this year, I agree with you. Myava. Don't think you would have been saying that a month ago. Would you have guessed you would be saying that a month ago? No. I mean, I'd lean Dante more, but still, like, my Ava ball last year,

and he is, like, he's got the Heisman numbers right now to be in the one slot. You scared of turnovers? No. They've always been an issue in the bigger games for him. And I've always, you know, watching college football for a long time, you learn that's always there. If a guy's prone to it early, he's usually prone to it throughout his career. But that doesn't mean it's going to pop up in every game. So like, that's what I'm trying to figure out here. If I were to know USC's just going to be even turnovers, I feel really comfortable taking USC because there's not a lot to like watching Oregon right now.

And I, there's so much to be disappointed about. I'm not shocked the offensive line's been disappointing because if they had a question coming into the year, that was it. Yeah. But that defensive line, that set of personnel was supposed to be one of the best in the country. And they haven't gotten after anyone. They couldn't even get after Portland State last week. The score was 84 to nothing. But if you watched the individual line play, they didn't really like wage some all out assault against Oregon against Portland State.

Maybe they took it easy on them. They didn't take it easy on Oklahoma State, and they couldn't get after them. They've got injury at receiver. Dante Moore has been a shell of himself since that Indiana game last year, to me, and still had a lot to prove in the Indiana game. So it's not like he was a superstar. There's a lot of potential. There's like a lot of hype and potential with Dante Moore.

The dude is yet to blow it up in a big game. I think his biggest win, correct me if I'm wrong here, because I could be just blatantly forgetting a game. I thought when they went on the road to Iowa last year, in that rainy game, and it wasn't like pretty numbers, but they had to come from behind, and they had to win like a gritty game, like a roll up your sleeves kind of game. That to me was good for Dante Moore. Since then, like, what am I hanging my hat on?

I'm not hanging my hat on this run game. I'm not hanging my hat on the throw game. I'm not hanging my hat on them getting after you up front defensively. So to me, if I were to wipe the slate clean, if I were to be the anti-AP voter, and forget what I thought in preseason and just go based on what I've seen so far this year and I'm not even saying USC's look like a world beater because they got pushed by Rutgers last week

but if they can get off the field early in the game if they don't have like 42 plays run on them in the first half where that defensive front is gas in the second half because they don't rotate a whole lot of guys if they could be in this thing I think they got the edge at quarterback until further notice I think absolutely both guys need it both coaches need it

but I think Lincoln really needs it because you're talking job security with him. And if they lose this game, I don't like him against Ohio State. I don't like them against Indiana. They could have multiple additional losses coming. This football season, whether you're buying tickets,

I look at it as Dan Lanning's turned on me. I put him in my national championship. game. And he has the audacity. I picked him to win the national championship. He has the audacity

to go and lose at Oklahoma State. And I think he needs to take the sunglasses off. I'm just going to say it. No one else will. I'll say it. I don't like it. I don't like the sunglasses. If you got to squint, dude, there's, who is. Is Kaelin DeBore? Kaelin DeBore has tan lines where his eye wrinkles are. He's squint so much in the sun, but at least he's not wearing sunglasses. I don't like the sunglasses from landing right now. I think if he takes the shades off, if he takes the shades off in the most unlikely of places in Los Angeles in the epicenter of the entertainment industry. I would argue second. There's such a huge job for Dan Lending to sit there and break the sunglasses right for the coin flip. Take them off, break them and throw them on the ground. Live bet organ.

But also, live bet. Who has, who is Lincoln Riley beat? Nobody. He's beat in Michigan. Brian Kelly? I'll tell you the two. It's Michigan and it's Sharon. That season kind of went downhill. It's Brian Kelly, it's LSU. That season went downhill. Lincoln Riley. does not have a single signature win at USC and we're a decade in. So this is not a pick coming from the confidence of Lincoln's done it for me before. It's a pick coming from the total lack of confidence from Lannning. Who's done it for me for a few times? But I just think the dude is probably a little deficient at coordinator right now.

And I don't know that he's not singing the same tune Mike Elko is maybe at A&M. because those are two places where they promoted from within last year at coordinator because they were going into the playoffs and so they had to make a move. Who knows? Maybe I'll be dead wrong on that. But all I can judge it on is results so far. And the result out of the gates is like I cannot imagine the Sunday slash Monday periods after the Oklahoma State game. Because when you're watching that, it feels like it would have been a scroll that would roll to the side of the building of all kinds of issues, of effort issues, just. pure physical issues, technical issues, execution, alignment, assignment, coaching, all of the above. I can't imagine how long those meetings were. So do I just think that's cleaned up after an 840 win against Portland State?

I don't know. It was the most uninspiring football I've ever seen watching film. I was going to say effort. And they got pushed the week before. Effort was bad. The physicality up front was bad. I think you pointed out something really good about the offensive line. Like their intention is correct.

they try to play very physical. Their problem is is they try to play physical in the past game as well. Like the left tackle, very athletic, very nimble feet, but there's multiple times he's leading his head out there and that Oklahoma State defensive linemen is kind of getting around him, no problem, turning a corner because he is trying to get a kill shot

every single time. If you were to say a woe to that offensive line a little bit more, focus more on taking the right steps and getting in the right fits, then have that tenacity behind it, I think the run game is a whole lot better. I don't disagree with you, Dante Moore, There's a lot to be desired when it comes to him and his gameplay.

There's multiple, I think, pulls that he could have had, specifically the first one of the game, first play of the game. He could have pulled one and had himself a nice run similar to Mestemaker for Oklahoma State when they had their first run of the game. Josh Allen. Josh Allen. We might as well just call him Josh Allen at this point. McCullen having the foot injury for a lot of teams that makes me concern,

but like talent's not the issue with Oregon. Like you have Decorium Moore, you got Stewart, they have another tight end. They have multiple guys in the backfield that can run the ball. ball but it is uh here's where i think that thing that it changes is dan landing probably promoted these guys within from a coordinator standpoint took his hands off of the defenses side of the ball specifically and allowed his coordinator to do that after you deal with a game like oklahoma state where it's uninspired the defense of line who's supposed to be the greatest in all of college football doesn't do doesn't do what they're supposed to do that's where dan identifies quickly

understands well what got me in the position to be the head coach of oregon and that's defensive coordinator. So I think his hands are, his fingerprints are much more on this defensive front, on these linebackers, on this secondary, because the talent's all there. And if you watch the defense, it's the linebackers who have also been very disappointing, they're way farther back to where they think themselves, the defensive line's going to handle the run game for us. They'll handle the passing from us. We're just going to help out more in the middle of the field because we have the horses to do it. I don't think that's the case. I think you're going to see a lot more pressure. Miova does great with pressure, but Miova also likes to play a little bit of hero.

And that's what they're going to try to pressure them into. When I look at USC and Oregon, it's like both teams disappointing in some ways one way more than the other. But USC is like they are extremely talented across the board. But all of their talent, most of their talent, their best players are younger underclassmen, freshman guys. So now you're getting in Big Ten play. You see the uniform and it means a little something different to you because it's your

first time playing against Oregon. It's your first time being in, hey, this one really matters. We're in conference play now. elevate and I will take experience over that. That's the part to me that Dan Lating getting in the defense, experience of these players being in this position before, because I think USC, if we fast forward to two years, it's like, yeah, you look at these teams, I'm going to take that. I think the most impressive thing I've seen from USC is as long as Lincoln Riley has been at USC and a four-minute drill, I've never seen a team, his team start with the ball, four minutes

left in the game, and they're up and end with the ball in their hands. And as bad as Rutgers has been, they did that against Rutgers, which shows growth. Like King Miller runs the ball well. I think they have the edge of the offensive side of the ball, offensive line side of the ball. But Dan Lanian culture, if I picked him to win the national championship, I think they made a lot of corrections. And we have a great example of quick corrections being made in week two with Michigan and Oklahoma. That's where I'll go Oregon. I'll take them minus three and a half. I'll put three on that. If you're Dan Landon, you can't have the sun in the trophy case with Lincoln Riley.

That might be a Sarah McLaughlin, McLaughlin. Glockland, special next to it. It would pay me to do it. It would. It seems like you're ready to set that up and go there if he lets this one down right here. All I'm saying is, is there a single head coach that we have put more of our collective weight behind? And we have done more to emotionally assist, encourage, cheer than Dan Lannning.

It's bad journalism. It's bad lowercase J journalism and we've done it anyway. We got to get a return on our investment. Do you mind? Has other coaches have they given up on the competitive nature of Dan Landing? Because this is the fourth week we've been on the show and there's not been one text sent to Will Compton about Dan Landing. Oh, you mean they don't even feel the need to.

There's no concern. Big Nettie hasn't reached out. Lincoln Riley hasn't reached out. No one has reached out to Will to say anything nasty. about Dan Landing. I got a random text last night. Did you really? He called himself Long rifle.

Long rifle. L.R. I don't know what that means. And I got three photos. Well, I got one. One was a voice memo. It was a fake Louisiana accent. A photo came in. It was a photo of a butter knife.

And then a third photo came in. It was a picture of sunglasses. Mm-mm. You said I don't know what that means. That was from L.R.? Yeah. Long rifle. Lone Ranger, maybe?

Was it just L.R? And you decided that it was long rifle? or is the name long rifle? No, he said, Willie C, Comnassy, this is a long rifle. L.R for short. Long nasty. He sent me an audio message and it was a fake Louisiana accent. They sent me a photo of a butter knife and then he sent me a photo of sunglasses.

He said, do with that what you will. And you're, you think this has to do with Dan Lanning? Maybe. I just thumbs up it because I was, you know, you get a little nervous. Yeah. Don't know anybody. How late at night was his text then? 11.02 p.m. Wow, because that's, that's still only 902 on the West Coast.

the West Coast depending on where this dude lives is what I'm saying yeah yeah interesting oh I'm taking the over here like I think even so we just got done with Ole Miss in Florida where they're 58 we look at this one 61 yeah yeah I like all your guys's points are great like I think Oregon's defense it's the receiver being out isn't it that's what makes you love me over I do like you got a pissed off Oregon team You got Dan Laning and all the meetings, like the effort that was displayed against Oklahoma State. Disgusting.

Even if their offense plays better, I don't think either defense is going to make one of these quarterbacks a little Cuban for four quarters. And so I just see everybody kind of scoring at will. And I just think it's going to come down to who has the ball last at the end of the game. And I just love a lot of points. You got coordinators with a match in their hand. Fuck.

It's all perimeter. And outside zone. Let's get downhill. Let's get downhill. little bit. Here's what I'm asking. If you thought, so let me, let me back up, how surprised would you guess Lannning is at their performance so far? Because we talk about this sometimes, about how sometimes there's high expectations publicly for a team and they underachieve, but then later on down the road, you'll find out the coaching staff kind of knew all along. The coaching staff was

surprised the hype was that big publicly, because they knew they were flawed. Then there are other times where the coaching staff's just as shocked as the public is. My guess, I've not talk to Lannick about this. My guess is they're pretty surprised. Oh, yeah. That's just my guess. You have seven guys that didn't decide not to go to the NFL to come back and had as much productions they have they've had. They have a great, I mean, they're good across the board at every single position. How do you not sit there and be like, yeah, we're going to win it all this year? Dude, you, there's no way they sat there and they're like, well, this is kind of crazy. No, it ain't surprising like that. It's surprising, like, pissed off, like all the potential you have,

especially on the defensive side of the ball and watching the effort in that Oklahoma State again. I can only imagine what type of week of practice that they had against Oregon State. But you've been in those spots. It's not like you're surprised. Like we're just as surprised as the public. You're surprised because you were pissed off about,

you know, we are pissing away everything we got in this room right now. Like the problem is in this room. The answer is also in this room. Like it's all gut check. It's all challenging from Dan Lanting. Especially as a defensive-minded guy and your defense is performing like that. Especially the backers too.

Like fucking fly around. They like to do a lot of stuff from Two Shell to where you kind of got it on an eraser in the middle. So that's where they're a little more, they have a little bit more depth than they play softer because you do think the D-Line's going to cut it up. But man, there's just too much talent on that roster and on that side of the ball. I don't want to go down this road because it seems like post Penn State meltdown last year. Everyone's looking for like the next Penn State. I don't know that you're going to have that every year. However, if you do have that this year, the prime candidate would be a team like Oregon.

A team is loaded up. Are you making a Danny Franklin comment right now? I'm not going to say Dan Franklin. But you're kind of saying, you basically are saying it. Other people are saying it. Other people have said it. Here's what I'm saying.

But you're bringing it up without any of us talking about it. No. Possibly, yes. But what I'm saying is if they've got two lost, if their expectation was national title or bust,

which it was, just like Penn State last year, and they're a two-lost team before October, you've got a real threat of the cart jumping off the tracks. You know, it sucks? You're right. And that they still got

multiple loseable games ahead of that. That was your week one A gap. Which is, I was kind of saying it like, prophetic. I had some TV. I had so much belief in Dan Landing. It's like, yeah, this is a boom or bust year for them. And I haven't won national championship, I haven't doing all that. But if you don't, that could be a case.

And I never thought that this would even be a possibility. If they lose this game. If they lose this game, there is a serious chance that these players pack it in. And I think that if they lose, the game, you need to just count on the fact that no one heard what you just said. And when we go on air next week on Friday, you got to get Tom and the production folks to just tee that up in week one. And you got to lean back and say, told you so. No, I could never do that to damn. Told you so.

I could never do that. I can't lose. He ain't losing this weekend, bro. There's too much doubt to talk about this conversation right now. I'm sorry, I have to do this. They made me. They got me. Yeah. I'm just reading the cue card. Right. I'm just reading the prompter. It is. dangerous territory. Very. When did you say Lincoln Riley is in the same position? Yes.

But that's because of the totality of his underachievement in his career. That's why I think that the players aren't. No, I would agree with you. There is such an expectation for not just the coaching set,

but Oregon, the player, everybody was like, this is the year we finally win a national championship. No one, people still look at USC as like the fourth or fifth best team. This may be the year we finally made the playoff.

Yes. That's kind of their out of it. to. Right. But so there's a detachment between players and Lincoln probably. Lincoln's like, I know I got to make the playoff where I'm probably cooked here. The players are like, first off, half of them are true freshman, like you said. So we got three more years here. We got two or three more years. We think we're going to have to make the playoff. We'll take a, we'll take a swing at it this year. If not, we'll be back next year no matter what. He doesn't know if he'll be back next year. God. Do you do the over? Yeah, I'm doing the over.

surveillance that erodes trust. There's belonging. You could think of belonging as I can be myself and I can still be accepted. And then there's fitting in. Spitting in says I have to change who I am in order to avoid rejection. Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers, sitting down with therapist Keer Gaines on Black fatherhood and what it means to raise a daughter through this stage. You watch a Texas Ohio State game, and it's like, yeah, Ohio State was up. by 20 points but it was because of fluke BS a fumble by relique brown in the first play of the game

coleman off of his lay to a safety like when they when they fumbled the ball on the first play of the game they're in the red zone Ohio State has the ball in the red zone with bow Jackson with julian sand with jeremiah smith and they got held to three and in the second half yeah arch played backyard football hey let him play they play in high school but you know what happened Goosby, Wake Forest tackle, and that interior offensive line malled Ohio State's defensive line. And Hollywood Smothers just kept cooking over and over, started to get your shots. Mosley started to show up. That's wide receiver three.

Coleman, he's been shot down quite a bit about his hands. Like, this is a massive game. And I'm excited, but this is Texas minus four and a half. I hate it because I love my boys over here, but I got four units on that. Oh. And I just can't do five. Just massacreed on boys over there. Why can't you do five?

Because you can only slap the table once. Oh, that's right. If you hadn't already slapped the table. I would slap the table. This would be five. Yes. You couldn't be more confident in a team that hasn't proven they can do it on the road yet. They also proven they didn't have a signature win until two weeks ago.

That's wonderful. Yeah. That's great. I feel like they're one in the country because of a couple fourth downs and one fourth quarter game. Are you saying overhyped a little bit? I think a little overhyped. That's why they're down in the fourth quarter by 20. points, like they got the horses.

But again, fourth and six and four the nine. You have a freshman quarterback for the first time playing against a true opponent. Like their best game they had was Georgia Tech. Yep. And Georgia Tech, they ain't it, ball. Like if you put on the film with Georgia Tech number 95, he's got some crazy ass name.

You check out that film of Arch against UTSA last week? Nope, didn't even look at it. Didn't put it on because I knew they had Tennessee the following week. Yeah, okay. Well, he's also. also perform that way. Like he's in the Heisman race, but it's because of the fourth downs in the fourth quarter

in the name. The moment's. He hasn't played that way. And Tennessee's also got a coordinator that has a little key to the safe because he shut down that offense a couple of years ago in the college football playoff in Jim Knowles. And you look at Archmanning too, like when you do look under the hood, this is going to be, this is like, this is the nerdy stuff. But when you got him throwing in between the white hash is the middle of the field, his completion percentage is down toward 50%. If he's on the outside, it's north of 60, but a lot of it is on the perimeter just to get him going. Everything you're saying about Texas is right.

If they run the football and they run the football well with Hollywood Smothers and Malik Brown, they have a good shot of winning this football game. So I'm putting a lot of stock in this Jim Null's defense and showing up because they haven't had a whole lot of past production either. It's like, what's one of your guys's end starts with the W? Weatherford. Wethersby. Wethersby. Like he hasn't showed up. Like they have about, what, two, three sacks in the three games that they played against inferior opponents.

So there is a big question mark on Tennessee. But I think Neeland's going to be looking for a fight. Look at the look in those boys' eyes right there. I love him. I love my guys. Nealyn's going to be looking for a fight on Saturday. And if toughest places to play in the country, Neelan is up there. And if they're not two, they are number one, bro. I think it's going to be nasty.

I like a dog that is still hungry to get their first big time win versus a dog that's already been fed with one. win. Could be a little high coming out Ohio State because again I do think they're a little fraudulent in that one slot in all of college football. I'm going to ride with the boys. I'm riding with the boys. I'm riding with Faison Brandon. He hasn't looked 18 yet. This is an 18 year old going against an NFL defense. He hasn't looked that way yet. He hasn't blinked. No picks. They can run the ball well. And even if you don't have Bishop Morris is he'll run through your face as well. I'm so I'm riding I'm rocking with the boys. It's GBO. I'm going to take I'm going to take Tennessee press four and a half.

at a confidence level of two. Be cautious. Confidence level of two. Be cautious between the two different backs. Morris will run through your face. He's not a very patient back. The way the backside of that offensive line is on the right side and the front side,

they need a little bit of patience to cover him up. That's where Deshawn Bishop has had so much success. He's being patient in the backfield, similar like Levion Bell. In a lot of ways, he'll sit back. He's like very confident a yard behind the line of scrimmage. That's where all of his explosive plays come from. Morris will hit it hard fast but it's got to be blocked right and they got horses that can absolutely run yeah but again you

getting those 30 personnel looks like there's going to be a lot of window dressing that hopefully tennessee is able to have success with because you keep those wide splits and you get the run game going with tempo that's going to help open up the shots down field for phase on and i just like i'm i'm 18 going against texas i fucking love the spot it'd be an incredible story it would be incredible i feel awesome about this over I love, love my pick on this game. So let me walk you through. When we looked at Arch last year, we looked at Texas last year,

and then they're coming into this year, if you believed in them, what were you banking on? You were banking on them running the ball better, and they went to the portal, and they addressed that. And you were banking on Arch Manning, just improving as a player. That's not unreasonable to ask for. He was six touchdowns, four picks as an SEC road starter last year.

He was 57%. They weren't good enough on the road last year. So you're banking on they're a better outfit on the road. So far we haven't seen it. We've only seen them play at home. This is their first time out. I do agree with you. I agree with what Sark said.

I think at its best, it's the loudest environment in college football. To noon kickoff, there are some amongst us who believe that actually favors Tennessee. Don't know how they got there, but whatever. There are some people around us who believe that it's better for Tennessee. You give chef 20 minutes. He'll tell you why. So the second part of this. we got to figure out who Faison Brandon is

because it's okay to be high on him but also say he hasn't really played anyone he certainly hasn't felt the heat that they'll feel I really, I worry about Texas's interior defensive line against Tennessee on the interior because I really think they can do some work there. Now luckily I've got mobility at quarterback to where even on broken plays,

it's not the end of the world like he can still create. He can still improvise. They can still push the ball down. the field. The thing I love about it is, I love that Texas is, Texas is blueprint here, if they're going to go in there and win, is to grind the game on the ground. Tennessee, you think tempo, tempo, tempo, if you've watched them so far this year, they haven't incorporated as much of it because I think they're very intentional in bringing that quarterback along and understanding defensively, we can't hang those guys out to dry. There's the question.

Have they been building towards this Texas game knowing that that's when we're going to flip the switch on tempo, or have they been intentional so far, and that's going to continue to be the way they go because they know our best shots running the ball too, our best shots riding our tailbacks too? If either of those things are true, the under is a brilliant opportunity here, because I think that number should be in the upper 40s, low 50s, and instead that thing's at 55 and a half. So I couldn't be more confident. The only reason I'm not going to slap the table is because I already did. I will take under 55 and a half for four units. That's my pick. Secondly, until further notice, I am not investing in Texas on the road. I'm just not doing it. And I haven't

seen, I love what they did against Ohio State, but I also hate that within the quote-unquote structure of their offensive framework, it took getting out of that for them to come back against Ohio State. Like in the normal, like between the lines, Texas offensive approach, they did nothing against Ohio State. To think that they're all of a sudden going to explode in this kind of environment, to me is a little unrealistic. So if I went against the number, I would go Tennessee plus four and a half. But I think the better opportunity is on the under.

So I'm going to go under 55.5, four units. Can't help me feel like that was a cop out. Because I kind of love the under too. I told you who I'd be on. You got to go face these people Friday. Oh, yeah. And I love the Tennessee fans. They were a big part of why this bus was successful.

Being in Tennessee, Titans fans, Valls fans, big reason why this bus got up and started. I owe the I am indebted to those people. What did Texas people do for you? They were really nasty to me when we went to Ann Arbor when they played Michigan. Really nasty. There was one guy that tried to fight me. Do you remember that?

Try to fight me. He was like, I went and took a photo and I took a photo of horns down. He was like, oh, get that shit out of here. I was like, dude, I went to Michigan. Those are fighting words. He said, we're not going to take a photo with you. Then I was like, okay. I guess we won't take a photo then.

And he went on, he's like trying to buck up. Like, listen, relax, buddy. Now you got a little Stockholm syndrome and you're betting them anyway. No, I watch film. And I, you can see what it is. There's nothing Stockholm's syndrome about. I told Chef, I'm looking for every opportunity

to look at Tennessee and be like, I want to pick them. You couldn't find anything. I didn't find enough to not, when I watched Texas, be like, yeah. Like, they have, they're a better football team. And the office of line to me is just, they're a dominant office. You're worried about Colin Simmons?

Because they don't really have backup there. If he's not good to go, their pass rush is not two or three deep. They got one dude. You know about Lawrence, former five star. Well, that's great. That's wonderful. Like recruiting rankings aside, you're a film watcher. Yeah.

You're not a stargazer. I think what Ohio State did, I think what Ohio State did was a very smart game plan that Tennessee should take is when Colin Simmons is out of the game. Take your shots then. That's what you see a lot of Jeremiah Smith shots. So there's a world there. But I don't know how many snaps he's going to play. Like if he's good to go moot point, but he was hurt. And there's rumor that he may be hurt and maybe either limited if he does go or like game time decision.

That's why we're recording this on Wednesday. So the health report, the Lane Kiffin Memorial Injury Report comes out on Wednesday nights. Don't know what Colin Simmons is going to be listed as. bringing in a child psychologist and a psychiatrist who's raising two black girls of his own to talk about what's really going on with our kids right now. So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological and psychological chaos happening all of the same job. We got into group chats and gaming, friendships and bullying, and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring and the kind of surveillance that erodes trust. There's belonging. You could think of belonging as, I can be myself and I can still be accepted. And then there's fitting in. Fitting in says, I have to change who I am in order to avoid rejection.

Then we turn the conversation toward the fathers, sitting down with therapist Kear Gaines on Black fatherhood and what it means to raise a daughter through this stage. You don't have on shorts, so you can't do flips, you have on the dress, so you have to cross your legs. That's the range of this run. From screen time to identity to the father's doing. the work at home. You have to get off her device. But the reality is there's a lot of life out there that we don't want you as your adults in their lives to miss out on. This has been our surviving middle school run.

Bonus late games, I'm not taking a total in the entire game. There's been a lot of nasty words thrown around about some quarterbacks around here, and they sit in the A-Gap. And Alabama, Keelan Russell, like for them to have a weather delay against Florida State come up, put up 50 points, started very slow in the first half. A team that starts very fast and tends to lose it in the second half is South Carolina, which happens to be the two teams that are playing this week. This is my favorite play of the week.

And it's the halftime line between South Carolina and Alabama. I'm taking the first half line. Okay. South Carolina plus six and a half. I love it. And it, to me, like, this is the one where no guarantees in life, but I love this pick. I love South Carolina running the ball.

I like Lenora Sellers facing adversity. I love Shane Beamer sitting there. when even South Carolina fans are like, we want to keep them, but the butt has officially gotten into the conversation, I like South Carolina starting fast year. Second half, don't even want to talk about it. Don't even want to talk about.

Alabama, people are going to tell you their 30th nation rushing. Okay. That's for four quarter games. That's for four quarter games. Not for first half. And that is also broken down passes. Keelan Russell's an alien athlete.

Like we're lining up, we're snapping the ball, we're handing it to the running back. I'm still not sold on that. So I like South Carolina plus six and a half. I hope it happens for the game cock. For the cockpit. It's a great bet.

It's a great bet. You don't like that. You should take it, Josh. You know, DeBoer. You can bet that and then Alabama. I'm going to hammer it. I'm going to hammer it. There's one right there.

Even if you're a Bama fan, DeBore, that team, everything, it's clearly the messaging is we got to start with way more urgency. Like they're a phenomenal second half team, but you know they're pissed off. about not starting well in their last couple weeks. It's an extremely young team. Of all these top 10 teams,

most of them are far more veteran. Bamma's like a really young team, which is something to remember second half of the year, and it's something to remember when you're betting these first halves. Because that leads to a lot of variance and potential

Iowa's great at not having them. Michigan's great at having them. And it's just, can we as a team for four quarters, not put the ball on the ground and keep the laundry off of the field? If they can do those two things, I believe,

and Michigan's talent. I also believe that Iowa is the best coach team in college football year-in-year-in-year-out. Like, they are always in the right spot. They never tried to do anything sexy. They know who they are. Hank Brown, I think he was 12 for 12 last week. Is that it?

Tony Diaz is a guy from like, Grenadier State, some crazy UT Grenadier State school. He's got a little X-play material. Wolverines are favorite at minus five and a half, which gets me into my dog of the week. I'm taking Iowa. Oh. Plus five and a half.
