Ladies gentlemen, welcome into week three
of the Lockroom College Football Edition.
We have an amazing show for you today.
Obviously, I'm coming off a massive high.
Josh Page just steadily keeps on the train.
He keeps rolling and keeps rolling.
and it keeps winning.
And Will Compton,
come back week.
We'll see what happened.
What you said?
You got pommeled last week.
He got pommel.
Who's doing the intro?
We're not starting the show that way.
We're not starting the show.
For the viewers who watch on YouTube
and you've dropped a comment
in our YouTube section,
you got a little vibe,
you put your Twitter handle in the comments.
I have three winners for you in my hand,
three tokens.
Bus with the boys,
professionals we are.
We haven't put on here,
so I'll read them for you now.
The Caleb Ingram, Tier 1.
Round of applause by the last few of audience.
Yeah, Caleb Ingram.
Hold on them.
Here's one of our winners.
We have our little board here.
We're gonna find out how many bonus bets you get,
courtesy of a thousand dollars.
A thousand dollars,
all because he commented on this YouTube,
his Twitter, and maybe Cotta vibe as well.
Cotter vibe.
The next one, the real Jammuz.
I don't know if I'm pronouncing that correctly.
The real Jammuz.
Number two, courtesy of Fandul.
To be!
D-V-D-D-D-D-D-D-D.
I wish you got a thousand as well, man.
But hey, that's the game, man.
That's the game.
And the last winner,
because they put a comment in the YouTube section of this video
and put their Twitter handle,
is going to be El Mayo 28.
Come on El Mayo.
Come on, Mayo.
Let's go Mayo.
Bye.
Beasts.
First good point,
you know, your most rewarding season yet
because you're with Fender,
you're with the boys,
you're with Josh Pay.
Let's have a hell of a show.
So big hugs, tiny kisses.
Touchdown!
Welcome to another episode of the Lockroom.
Welcome to another episode of the locker room.
I'm trying to do no notes.
Yeah, no notes.
This show is presented by the number one sports book in America,
and that is the Fanduil sports book.
And just to let you know, before we get rolling in,
all of our picks, all of our bets, everything else.
Fandle always has your back when it comes to safety.
We gamble responsibly on this show.
You can go to fendul.com slash play with the plan.
There's also a responsible gaming section in the app.
Check those out.
Gamble responsibly.
Now, last week, the first couple weeks,
Fandle has done a college football pick-em where you can, for free,
pick 10 games against the spread, and you compete against us three.
It's a good deal for them.
It's a great deal because it's free.
You're not wagering any money.
And they're willing to us.
Yeah, and they're, you have good odds against us.
But if you are the best,
If you are the best in the pool, say you go 10 out of 10, whoever the top ones are,
you will get to split a share of $500,000.
And this week, 523 people netted over $900 in bonus bets.
Those are the best ones.
Those are the best ones at the tip top of everything.
Now, you also pick against me and Taylor.
So if you're somebody last week who went 5 for 10 in your 10 against the spread picks for free,
you should have already gotten a profit boost token.
Taylor and Will went 3 for 10.
Josh Payton went four for ten.
You beat any one of us,
you're going to get a profit boost token
courtesy of Fandle.
Gamble responsibly,
shout out Fandall.
Hey, shout out Fandd.
You just smack that.
You picked this up.
You are talking like someone who's undefeated.
You have the vibes of someone,
you have the wardrobe of someone who's undefeated.
That's how we're starting the show.
You're just going to give him a layup going over this right now.
He was. Go ahead.
I mean, we are undefeated.
So let's just call that what it is.
Yes.
Anthony Calangri, Big Ten.
the offense player of the week.
Let's call what it is.
We are a machine right now.
One game at a time.
We're focused on North Dakota.
One game at a time, one game at a time.
Oregon should be sweating a little bit come week seven.
One game at a time.
We're talking about North Dakota football this week.
And we have Indiana before that, correct?
Yeah.
So we got Indiana before we get to.
And not only that, Maryland.
Don't sleep on Maryland.
Also, don't sleep on Michigan State.
Never sleep on Michigan State.
But we're focused on North Dakota.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Good coaching.
Good coaching.
But you like this team, don't you?
Josh, I will say I like this team.
a lot.
It's funny.
No, no, no.
Listen, you are funny.
Will Compton is funny.
So what you're saying is serious.
I feel like you're laughing at my Huskers.
No, no.
What you're saying is authentic,
yet Will Compton is a funny person.
So both those things are very, very perfectly.
No one's coming at Will.
I do.
No one's coming at Will.
I like her last.
The comment of winning the off season,
that was its own,
that was a whole different thing.
In the office season,
the biggest question,
Mark coming in on this Nebraska football offense was who's going to show up in the running back
room you lose Emma Johnson who's going to show up mckeye nelson jammal rule true freshman running through
your face we got him we are a running back factory yeah at Nebraska right now yeah one game at a time
north dakota and also i wasn't undefeated on my picks but i had a very fruitful week last week you
did you talked about you pulled i needed no one needed it more than you yeah you can i got the card right
here but just to go off josh you had a brutal week over the week
Did I have a brutal week?
You had a brutal week.
It didn't feel brutal.
You're consistent.
I hit my five unit.
You did hit your five unit.
When it comes to the units, it's right, you're fine.
You come to the units.
You're absolutely fine.
Question.
Go ahead.
What else would it come to?
I thought, you and me agreed when we're letting you buy half points on live internet,
it's got to come down to units.
Otherwise, I'll just buy points all over the place.
Listen, that's on me.
All right, the Ford Leaderboard segment is presented by Ford of Hard Day's Work.
Starts with one thing.
Someone willing to do it.
where there's a will, there's a Ford F-Series truck.
Let's get to the segment.
Taylor's the champ right now.
Yeah, I listen, it's been a good two weeks.
Parlay hit, parlay hit, parlay hit.
You could have taken everything for me last week
as long as I got the outcome that I did in Ann Arbor,
that was really all that mattered.
Luckily, a win at Ann Arbor,
translated to a win at the locker room.
I'll take it.
I am in a prime position right now
for someone who hasn't gone through this before
to be a little too high on themselves,
where somebody comes in Patsy on the ass
and you shit in their hand.
So for me,
For me, let's stay the course, let's stay in the film room.
What got you here?
What got you to week two being up this many units?
It's just being a student of the game and watching over and over again.
So that's what I'm focused on.
I love that.
What is it, 11?
What am I plus 11?
I can't see.
Taylor, you're up 11.44 units.
Yeah.
I'm still in the tank.
Again, brutal, brutal.
Week one for Willie C.
I'm sitting in negative 5.8.9.
Josh, 6.74.
Did you and I have the exact same record?
got the exact same record. No, not record. You're beat me in units. Oh, I'm talking about over the
weekend. That's in totality. Yeah. I had a bad first week. It is what it is. It's going to be a
heated show. Yeah. Last week, last week when the first quarter was over at the Michigan game.
Yes. I texted you the eyeball emoji because it was kind of clear what was starting to happen.
I think we all felt it. But you texted me back. What did I say? A lot of ball left. A lot of ball left.
A lot of ball left. When that run took place,
I was rocking my baby.
Yep.
Almost woke her up, sat back and got grounded because I knew like, listen,
John Mateer, I know the narrative on him right now is that he's actually not that great.
Everything we've been saying for the past year and a half doesn't matter anymore.
He's not a Heisman guy.
But he could strike at any moment.
It's in there.
And they make X plays all the time.
So I was fired up.
Another text exchange we had was, what's the environment like in this before the game started?
And your text to me was, I suggest having a fast start.
Yep.
Because it was, we saw it on our show on Friday that Michigan was in a very fragile state.
We felt it.
We felt it.
We thought we felt it in the building.
Then they just took the fight to Oklahoma.
It turns out there's a lot of false confidence on the other side.
Yeah.
There's. I'm not even convinced that they feel good yet.
I would agree with that.
I think we all, from a Michigan standpoint, it's like, okay, we know our offense or our defense is always going to have us competitive in games.
But if you want to be a competitive team from a player,
standpoint and further, then you need to, the offense has to get better. And even when you turn
on the film, like, we got to get better in the passing game. Clearly, our running backs have to
get going. Our offensive line needs to strain a little bit more. And then more than anything,
it's the penalties. Nine for over 100 penalties. That's just you can't have that. It's going to get
you beat. Happy to have the win. And also, it's great for new coaching staff, big win early. Players
are going to buy into the coaching staff. All of those things come with it. A snowball effect could
happen but there's so much to work on as a fan I sit there and I'm like
hang on let me ask you a question would you say that you're a playoff team right now I
would say no because all off season you talked about I will know what these teams
gonna be after week and I think that is still I feel better about our team as far as
the gauntlet of a schedule we have in that our defense barring injuries or just
massive mistakes like we are going to be a team that
is going to keep games close always.
For me to feel more comfortable, it's like Indiana,
we were talking about this before the show,
like Indiana has shown us nothing.
That is like where are their flaws, what do they have?
They've played cupcakes.
So you don't really know what they are.
Oregon, you feel more comfortable about,
but we know Dan Lennon is a culture guy.
So then it's, they're probably going to get right
against Portland State and then go into the Big Ten schedule
and continue to grow.
And maybe that's one of the best things that's happened.
Ohio State was up by 20 points in the fourth quarter
against Texas in Austin.
So there's all these things that we play.
Penn State's also sitting over there.
C's sitting over there, all these teams in the Big Ten that we don't know who we are yet.
Like this conference doesn't know.
So I just need the offense to get better.
I'll tell you, I'll tell you after Iowa.
I'll tell you after Iowa.
As he said all year.
Two weeks from now, we play another top 25 team.
In Iowa, we know that.
If we know one thing about that game, it's going to be a lot of punning.
I don't know what the total is.
A lot of good defense.
A lot of good defense is going to take place.
And it's just who coaches better.
Who makes the one play?
So I don't want to turn this into a whole Michigan thing the whole time.
It's not about you.
I'm happy with what happened.
It's not about you.
I'm over the moon.
The birthday party went great.
If you guys were wondering after, some of the boys showed up.
It was incredible.
Vives were extremely high.
Onward.
And you picked against them.
Hang on.
I think.
Arm in arm.
I did.
Michigan under.
Michigan under.
In definitely.
My face is on Will's pick.
My face was on Will's pick.
And I've said this to you before the show.
I've said this to you multiple times.
I think you handled supporting me as much as you can with my team
while also not just being like ridiculous about it.
Like you did the best you could given the circumstances of week one.
Yeah.
Yes.
You know, you know.
You already stop.
You know what story I'm sitting on.
No.
You know what I'm sitting on.
Okay.
Hold on.
Hold on.
I just real quick, real quick.
I want you to tell a story.
But if it probably is anything of us going over the pickups we did on the bus and then like, oh, this is where you guys pick versus who will pick?
No, no, no, no.
We'll pick to Oklahoma.
This is not that.
This is not you refusing to look Ryan Day in the face.
This is none of that.
Stop.
This is worse than that.
You got to stop with that false narrative.
Okay.
I'm a big enough man to let you tell this story if you want to.
But if you don't want to tell it, I think it's funny.
I think you had the, you had the perspective of me saying it to you.
I think it's better if it comes out of your mouth.
So we're in the volleyball arena Friday.
right oh before the show we got done walking around the building feeling the vibe in the building
which yeah okay all right we've seen our set we've talked to some of the locals we've come back in
and tom who kind of you know spearheads the production talk for us before the show long time ohio state
fan rips his shirt off before the production meeting starts and he's got a taylor lewan jersey on
and everyone goes crazy and you're hugging him i think i saw a tear
Like everyone's fired up.
It's a big camaraderie moment.
It's like camaraderie fest.
And William, he claps too.
He shows outwardly that he's in full support of this move.
And then he kind of slinks off into the back.
And I just happen to be back there.
And he walks up and says, bro, I'm glad he's got Tom on a side.
No.
And it was such a good laugh I got out of bait to.
He's still got a full smile on his face.
The eyes are bulged to me.
I'm glad he's got Tom on his side.
Celebrating still happening.
Oh, wow, this is in the midst of it.
You're watching dead people
talking to each other.
You're still embracing this man.
You guys are like, at least he's got Tom.
I'm glad he's got Tom on his side.
So I never really had you.
You had me on the under.
That's better than the Jerry McGuire.
Yeah.
You had me on the under and your face is on my pick.
Right.
Like gun to my head, you're not my life.
Like I'm going Oklahoma 10 times out of 10.
I would have lost.
You had time.
You would have been dead.
I would have been dead.
Yeah, you'd be shot.
I hope you learned a valuable lesson.
Don't big against Michigan.
What's the, because I still don't feel good about.
I was hoping you'd finish that.
I was being a 100% honest.
We feel good though.
Yeah.
Environment was good.
I give a shout out to Pete.
Is it Friday night lines you do?
Yeah.
He did say one of his favorite bets of the entire weekend was under 21 and a half
in the first half of Michigan.
He did.
Nailed it.
And it was beautiful.
So thank you.
Nailed it.
Good for us.
Good for us.
Look at the three of us.
Because Globe came in the chat right away.
Yeah, club came in the chat right away.
Were you in the live chat?
Yeah, I'll play.
What's your Michigan?
Oh, my bad.
I'll shout you out next time.
Hmm.
Yeah, clubs are like six burners.
That's why I never know.
Week three.
Not a whole lot of storylines taking place in week three.
No, nothing much.
It's really flat this week.
It's a dead slate.
It's a dead slate.
Not a whole lot of looking to do.
But we have to do a show.
Did you ever have a lawsuit served against you the week before you went into a rivalry game?
Because that's something that happens at LSU now.
I have not.
No?
Okay.
So so far, so far, we've got a week of first.
I'll be honest.
I don't know.
I didn't know if he was like doing a zinger.
Oh, did you not know what happened?
Was it yesterday, correct?
Pete Thammel broke it this morning that Princewell, Jesse,
you mind me, Ellen?
Prince Will Yuman Mielan had lawsuit papers served to him in a parking lot
because of the whole Ole Miss leaving and we don't like you leaving.
and I don't want to get legal on you, but he got papers, sir, to him in the parking lot.
You can tell me I'll stare back at you, but.
Yeah, I actually don't know.
I don't know what will happen.
You don't know.
Served a player on LSU after he left Ole Miss.
The week of the game.
The week that they are playing, suing him for the money that he owes them.
Yes.
Damn.
That's what's taking place between.
That's crazy.
What?
I'm just finishing the whole, the chat will know.
Go off in the comments section.
Go off in the comments.
comments it's so rare when you didn't told the story you're like damn that's crazy
so yeah it did it's nuts no they've literally come out publicly and said there's not
going to be a national guard in Oxford but there's going to be more police from
Alabama from Louisiana they've gone from usually six guys on horseback to
another 19 guys in horseback there is they're expecting riots as they should yeah
I mean it's gonna be barbaric there's gonna be some old testament an old
Testament scene that we're going to have in Oxford this weekend. And I love the way Lane Kippen's
handling it. I love the fact that he's on a press conference and he's like they won 13 games last
year. He was the head coach. We won seven. There's no pressure on us. There's all the pressures on
them because they won last year. They won more games. And it's like the ultimate spin zone. Yeah.
It is the ultimate troll spin zone everything. They've got two Heisman candidates in the backfield that I
recruited yeah yeah that i yeah that i set up to be heisman candidates it's it's this wheelhouse
this is exactly where lane kiffin is where he needs to be right now he would do this every week if
he could i i think that's his goal is to create these kind of narratives throughout every single week
so every school hates him but the school he's at because ls u can't feel safe either if you look at
his track record and hey that's what he's going for he's well on his way he is well on his way
this football season whether you're buying tickets booking travel or shopping for team
protect your pocket with Visa.
Tapping to pay for a bootleg jersey without checking the card?
Not a pro move.
Tapping to pay with Visa?
That's a pro move.
Visa runs more than 500 security checks
to help identify fraud before transactions are approved,
helping protect your payment all the way to the end zone
so you can focus on other things,
like whether boneless wings are actually wings.
Reaching for your card with five fingers covered in buffalo sauce,
that's a fumble waiting to happen.
Not a pro move.
Tapping to pay with Visa, that's a pro move.
Because with Visa, you're not responsible for any charges you didn't make.
So you can save your defensive energy for something else,
like keeping the boy Taylor away from your nachos.
This season, a great defensive play is paying with Visa,
the most trusted way to pay for football fans everywhere.

We reached for a feeling that exists in this city.
But we're not stopping, are we?

free therapy. I'm Ben and I'm Kevin. And we think everyone could use a little bit of therapy,
including us. Absolutely. That's why each week we sit down with a different therapist to talk about
the things we're all dealing with. If you're trying to get rid of anxiety, you're actually
fueling more anxiety. We talk to some of the leading therapists in the country about all of life's

And, oh, well, this is awkward.
Would you say a D-less actor?
D?
I don't even know there is this thing as D.
No, no, no.
I mean, like...
Can't even get on the C-list?
Like, I'm not even an average.
I'm not even passing.
I'm failing?

Hi, it's Alec Baldwin.
This season on my podcast, here's the thing I'm speaking with more artists,
policymakers, and performers like actor Stephen Root.
I think for me to be any good or for any character actor to be any good,
you've got to put enough of yourself and your empathy for people in it.
I'm a people watcher.
You see that guy going down the room and go,
Yeah, I can use that.

I love staying on top of what is going on in our city, what is going on in city politics, what is on renter's minds, and taking all of that knowledge to build a platform that hopefully is going to make New York City better in the long run.

I'll see you there, friend.
You guys are fired up about the gravely game of the week right now.
I know.
We'll save.
We'll save.
We'll buckle it up.
We honestly have a low-key slate upon us.
The boys busing and paid on campus will be at Auburn on Friday afternoon.
2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time.
Come join the boys.
Come to the show.
Come support the fellas.
We got Houston at Texas Tech on Friday night,
SMU at Louisville, Mississippi State at South Carolina.
I'm excited to see.
That's fireworks game.
It's a fireworks game.
Fireworks game.
We got a guy in here who rides the cocks, man.
Rides him hard.
I didn't even mean to say it like.
I didn't even mean to do that.
Every year, it's a hard.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's football season.
Yeah, it's football season.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
What game would you like to start with?
Let's go Florida Auburn.
Okay.
The game we're going to this Friday.
Yeah, let's go Florida Auburn.
First time in Auburn.
I heard how haunted it is, how scary it is.
I'm personally very fired up for the game.
Two coaches that are seeing each other for the first time.
One coach that was supposed to maybe go to Auburn ends up going to Florida.
You want to go down that road, huh?
I mean, is that kind of, I'm not fully versed in that storyline.
It's proper context.
But Auburn was trying, they were both essentially trying to get somewhere.
You want to tell you what happened?
Yeah, yeah.
I was getting a picture, but go ahead.
Hugh Freeze was going.
John Summerall was all but a lot for the Auburn job.
Administratively, they really screwed the landing up,
and they had to pull the nose up at the last minute,
do a run around, or in coaching terms,
they had to move on to their second option
because Summerall said, yeah, I'm good.
And then Florida hired John Summerall.
And then Alex Golish looked locked in for Arkansas,
but just between the three of us, no one else listening,
I don't think Golish was going to go to Arkansas.
Ever.
I think he was going to choose USF over Arkansas.
And if anyone's watching Arkansas right now,
you kind of see why.
But then the Auburn job's open.
And Alex Golish takes the Auburn job.
And kind of like with the Penn State thing,
how they sort of low-key screwed up the process
for the better part of 50 days,
Penn State ends up with Matt Campbell.
So it's a big win.
Auburn ended up with Alex Golish,
which is also a big win.
But that's for five years from now for us to dissect.
As for this weekend, the guy you got
is facing the guy that you thought you had
who's got family ties to Auburn,
but who's at a press conference in Gainesville
saying anyone pulling for Auburn
when Florida puts food on our table is dead to me
and then Golish is back in Lee County
which is where Auburn is saying
Gollish said we're friends or Summerall said we're friends
not this week we're not
and then people are calling it performative
because I don't think people understand
the spirit of competition.
Spirit of competition is beautiful.
Got to be your goal is too.
You got to be, yeah, this has to be a personal feeling
like you're coaching against the guy
that Auburn wanted.
Yeah.
you're basically seeing the almost X.
They ran to and they said no, so they settled for you.
And Florida looks good right now.
And he said, we'll see it in five years.
We'll know the true result of all three of these coaches, four years coaches.
Here's what I think.
But this week is a big like, it's, you know, it's what have you done for me lately.
That's what's what sports is all about.
So this is where they can all plant their flag.
What I mean when I say we'll see in five years, which I've said before on the show,
is I think Matt Campbell and Alex Goalsh will both win.
And I think that some people who did everything to screw up,
up the hiring process will end up getting credited when they shouldn't be credited.
But that's neither here nor there.
Okay.
I do have a question about the game.
Yes, go ahead.
Florida's favored by two and a half.
Do you think the right team's favored?
Because if you add on home field, this is basically Fanduel telling you Florida's like
four and a half or five points better than Auburn.
And so far they've played a grand total of FAU and Campbell.
Campbell's mascot is what?
Exactly.
No one knows anything about Florida.
The Camels, by the way, it's the Camels.
No one knows anything about Florida.
Yeah.
Now, what we do know about Auburn is they played Baylor.
And it was really clunky.
Some of us got emotional and got chastised for being emotional watching that game towards the end.
Yeah, people did not like that.
That was a tight game.
So what would you rather know?
Would you rather know that you have some flaws and inefficiencies but find out in a win in week one?
Or would you rather know nothing about yourself except that you've got a brand new quarterback that started four total games in his career?
and a brand new coordinator and a whole brand new staff.
And we're going on the road for the first time
against a team that learned a lot about itself in week one
and now gets to welcome us into their backyard
with a quarterback who, throwing motion, problems or not,
is starting his 35th career game.
And we're an underdog?
Auburn's the underdog?
I don't want to see Byron Brown throw on the perimeter
with that throwing motion.
It scares me every time.
Somebody's going to take that shit to the house.
Now, I do think he can dial.
downfield and operate the offense.
He is a dynamic in the running game.
But when he throws on the perimeter,
I hold my breath every time.
He almost got taken to the house last week
against whoever they played.
Yeah, it was like Southern Miss.
But he was picked off three times in week one.
Like we watched that.
Yeah.
You both, all of us have watched Auburn play
at least one game this year.
Does it seem like everything's a little slow?
Yes.
A little non-rhythmic.
Like you've watched them at USF and it's kind of...
I was thinking, yeah.
As far as tempo goes, one and two in the country,
Like I haven't felt that whatsoever.
I don't know what's,
I don't know how they're trying to get the ball going.
I like them at the line of scrimmage, though.
Like when you ask about,
do you feel like the right team is favored?
I think the right team's favored.
I think Florida, they look incredible offensively.
A lot of explosive, a lot of athletes.
Their offense can go.
We were joking on the bus this week.
This offense is floor offense.
They've got to go.
They've got to go.
They have athletes everywhere.
It was Dallas Wilson.
Yep.
Vernon Brown.
Studs. Like number one, Vernon, he's their gadget guy.
Six is an athlete. They have an athlete of quarterback with Aaron Philo.
Their running back is good. I'm not in love with their line of scrimmage.
I'm not in love with their front seven on defense.
But I think when you look at is the right team favorite, I think there's a lot of excitement around Florida right now.
I like Auburn. I think Auburn is going to be able to run the football on this team.
I think this is a front seven that Florida hasn't seen.
Even close to seeing, like we can talk about what Auburn's going to be if they're going to win over six and a half or seven and a half games this year all we want.
But the defense is the top defense in the country, especially in the SEC.
They fly to the football.
And Byron Brown, like if they can control the line of scrimmage, I think they can bleed him out a little bit.
I don't think it's going to be a shootout by any means.
If I lean anywhere on total, it's the under.
But I like Auburn.
I think Auburn, you know, with the three turnovers that they had, Byron's just going to have to protect the football.
But if he does that, I like Auburn in the same.
I'm going to go confidence level three.
I'm going to go three units.
I'm going to go Auburn Money Line.
Wow.
Auburn Money Line.
Wow.
That's a nice pull.
Okay.
I'm going to go Auburn Money Line.
Do you agree with Will Compton and Auburn?
I agree that Florida hasn't played anybody.
And I agree that Vernel Brown and they're getting Singleton back this week who played at Auburn last year and was completely wasted.
Not in terms of alcohol.
Literally, they didn't use him because they couldn't get him the ball.
Dallas Wilson.
Jaden Ball may be the best tailback in the league for all we know.
but it's about whether I can distribute the ball to them or not.
Otherwise, they're just wasted.
And for all the trust that people have, including me long term,
in Buster Faulkner and Aaron Filo, that combo coming in from Georgia Tech.
You see how bad Georgia Tech is this year without them?
Obviously, that's a good combo.
That's a good package.
I'm just so fresh off of watching Oklahoma
come into Michigan with sky high confidence and get totally rattled
and everything that they thought they knew about themselves
and everything that some of us thought we knew about Oklahoma.
Oklahoma gets thrown in the ditch. I'm so fresh off of that that I'm really cautious about this.
And I think there's a lot to be said. Byron Brown, even with some of his faults and flaws,
the experience factor combined with the home field factor combined with so much newness at
Florida. I think it's too early to respect them to the point where they're favored on the road.
So yes, I agree with William. Two units for me. But Auburn, I'll take a money line too.
Oh, two units, three units.
The scariest part about this game to me is where it's being played.
I've never been to Auburn.
I'm excited to see it for the first time, but hearing how haunted it is,
and even Nick Saban, who's the greatest college coach of all time.
The way he talks about it gives me some unease.
Another thing that gives me unease about Florida is Auburn between these two teams is tested the most.
I don't know how good Baylor is, but they still have to get up for a game in week one
and go against competent competition.
They didn't look great during it.
Byron Brown, I had sky high expectations for him.
I know the graveyard also had sky high expectations.
Don't love the throwing motion.
They do want to play in the perimeter that Will was talking about
where they kind of dump it out and let their...
Sorry, Cody was started doing this and I got distracted.
I didn't get to take the supplements that Will took this morning,
so he's operating.
No notes.
Byron Brown, he'll throw it off to the perimeter
and they expect their guys to go get yards.
I just don't see with how aggressive the secondary in Florida,
how they're not going to challenge that
and make Byron Brown beat him through the air.
He can do it.
Like you see Southern Miss,
which, you know, you can say what you want about college football,
Southern Miss.
Like, I think they had two total guys in their roster
at the end of the transfer portal last year
that it's like not a real D1 school.
No disrespect to them.
It's just the reality of where we live.
You see the flashes in Byron Brown,
like he gets one call back from holding,
that he runs 40 yards,
breaks multiple tackles.
He gets a touchdown.
He throws it deep to number four,
right in the breadbasket.
and avert. That one's called incomplete. I just don't trust that he's not going to give floor
to the ball. You brought up the trenches. People are down on Florida's offensive line, but I
know they haven't been challenged, but I see a group of guys, five guys that are going in the
same direction to the same people with the same technique, showing me that they're well-coached.
They haven't had a lot of penalties. They haven't had a lot of turnovers. Filos only had one in the two
games. And then you said that little running back, Jaden Baugh is good. Then you said might be
the best. I think he, I'm in, I'm in that camp where I think Jaden Ball with, let's say the
office line is slightly above average to average. When DJ Durkin, who's going to bring pressure,
especially up the middle during the game, his vision is incredible. He can stop on a dime
and turn things into X place. I don't think Philo has to be a hero in this game. I think he has to
just take what the defense gives him. He's going to be put under pressure. I think he's an effective
runner. I just like the operation that Florida's had up into this point. You can't judge them
based on competition, but it's how they have operated as a team. You judged Southern Miss on
competition. Like Florida's went against a couple of Montessoress. Southern Misses. Yeah, Southern
Misses. You, it's like, you know, you take some of our audience and put them in uniforms. And it's like,
that's kind of a shot at our crowd and showed up for this support. Hold up the sign, Jack.
Do you see, do we see any D1 football? I'm saying the talent level of Southern Miss is not there at all.
Not a real school.
Auburn didn't get it going till later.
Yeah.
Because they bite themselves in the ass.
So Florida, it's like, I have to watch the film of who they play against.
And they play FAU who is their best competition up to that point.
I think where Auburn has a huge edge, I'm not high on their offensive line, but I'm even lower on Florida's defensive line.
I don't think their defensive line is very elusive.
They're not slippery.
They're more like magnets to offensive alignment.
They kind of stick the blocks.
I think they'll do okay in the run game because I like their linebackers quite a bit.
But as far as like rushing the passer, they're going to have to bring one or two extra.
Filo, fourth start ever, but he's had the same office coordinator who came up from Georgia Tech with him.
I like that continuity. I love Jaden Baugh. I love one. I love six.
I just think there's, at the end of the day, there's way more talent on Florida than there is Auburn.
They've played cleaner against lesser competition, which is what you kind of need to check the box at this point.
So I'm going to take Florida. I'm going to take them plus the points and I'll go two units on that.
that's how I feel that's I like Florida in this game
Southern Miss did make a bowl game last year
Southern Miss also had two guys on the roster
when when after the transfer portal to play and uh I'm not saying I'm low
on their offensive line because you were kind of you were kind of
educating me on them knowing what they're doing playing hard like all the stuff
I just when I'm watching it I just don't see them moving the line of
scrimmage where Auburn has got a tough front seven and you talk about Aaron
Philo too
All the question marks with Byron Brown.
Like, he's still 4,000 total yards of offense, his last couple seasons.
Like, the dude is, his evidence is there that he is a guy who can play well in this system.
And he's good on the, he's good on the ground.
And they go against Baylor.
Baylor had, like, you were talking about it going into week one.
One thing that Oranda was high on was their defensive line.
And they might not have had the best game running the ball, but 23 was still averaging five of carry.
Like, they just, they turned the ball over three times.
And Aaron Filo, too, fourth career start.
When you watch both of those games, he had two third down.
He had two third downs in the first game and three in the second game.
Like he just hasn't been stressed.
He hasn't been tested.
They have the athletes.
Like they've just out-athleted guys.
Like they have a lot of explosive plays.
But again, it's like when you have a stacked defense like Auburn does,
I'm excited to see Aaron Philo like is he because he looks like a good athlete.
He looks scrappy.
He's accurate.
Like he can do all the things.
But he hasn't been under any pressure.
He hasn't had to go out there and win because they got the twos in in the second half.
So you don't have a lot of like, hey, let's watch him on this third down that they got to have right here.
He just hasn't been in those situations.
And he'll be in a lot of those third down situations against Auburn.
Yeah.
So a couple of things you said, the offensive line.
Are they the world beaters?
I think that's to be determined.
The answer is probably not.
Buster Fogner, the officer coordinator, what I think he does a great job in the run game is he gets these pen,
which is a penetrating defense, gets them to run east and west with their outside zone.
game because Jaden Baugh is a great job of running outside zone. So they'll get on their,
you know, outside zone scheme, Wanda, force, Zorro type of runs, getting the defense to run east
to west. And then once they get them less penetrating, all of a sudden they're hitting a gap
scheme down. So it's having the office line play as a cohesive unit, but it's also scheming them
into advantageous situations, which regardless of the competition they're going against, Buster's done
that. And then the run game's everything. Like Philo, 50.
percent of his passes have come out of the play action. So for Florida, it would be successful.
They have to run the ball really well. I think they're going to do that against this very
aggressive defense. There's going to be splash phase. There's going to be TFLs. That's, that's
Durkin's defense. But I think there's going to be holes for a ball to exploit. And that is where
I think you start to get guys to come down a little bit more. That's where the shots are at.
And then that's where you get athlete versus athlete. I'm taking Florida. Josh Pay.
I still believe everything I said about Auburn. But listening to you really ignited
a new belief in my mind that no one could have made a better case for under 53 and a half
than the three of us combined just did on this show so not only do I want to change my pick
on this game to under 53 and a half I want to hit the table on under that one wow five units on the
under 153 and a half you want to do something too I know you can kind of excite you
long show long show long season what was what was what was
is the straw that broke the camel's back on that.
There's just so many different scenarios
for the crowbar theory to be in play here
for either offense to grind to a halt.
You made the case for Florida.
Really, we all kind of did of maybe
it clicks, but we don't know, maybe it doesn't.
And if you've had a lot of explosivity,
if you've out-athleted people,
and that's where chunks of your yardage have come from
so far, home field plus DJ Durkin
could grind that to a halt.
And if you have to sustain drives,
if you've got to do it 11, 12 plays a couple of times,
I don't know that you can do that.
And then on the flip side, Byron Brown, all the yardage, all the stats, like the 4,000 yard season, stuff like that, it comes against a level of competition.
When he's faced the increased level of competition, the production hasn't scaled.
It's been really ugly.
They've actually, like they beat Florida last year.
It wasn't because of offense.
And so there's two ways in my mind where these teams kind of grind to a halt.
And if I throw all of that into the same pot, I think 53 and a half is way too high in number.
Mm.
All right, real quick, Lucy, bam.

Back to the episode.
You got me one to smack the table for the iron hair.
Long season, long season.
Long season.
You got me two for four to minus two and a half, two units?
All right, no one said, yes.
Okay, hey.
Great move right there, by the way.
Strong move.
It was a great move.
Yeah, strong move.
Houston at Texas Tech.
Friday. Friday night game. Texas Tech is favorite in this game by seven and a half.
I want to say the line opened at what, nine and a half?
Yep.
Now to move down or 10 and a half. The over under in total is 52.5.
Guys, I'm going to be honest. I don't know what to do in this game.
So I'm going to need one of you to talk me into something.
One of us to say something. Maybe somebody from the stands to just yell something at the end of their presentations to say, take this.
I don't know what to do in this game. I'm not, I was watching their tape yesterday.
Oregon State, number one.
they test both of these.
That quarterback's nice.
Yeah.
That quarterback is nice.
Number two is salty back there.
I'm not, it'll be interesting to see how they approach this game offensively
and getting Casalanos more involved in a competitive level,
not like a complimentary Will Hammond's our guy here,
and Casalanos comes in for these situations.
But I like, Hammond doesn't have a lot of velocity on the ball.
I don't know if that has to do with him coming back off of his ACL.
I'm just not in love with what I'm seeing offensively.
I wanted to sit there and watch a tape
and find the optimism that Texas Tech is gonna,
not turn it around, but turn it around
in the public sense of people are kind of low on them right now.
But I don't, I don't know.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to do and I'm conflicted
because I love me some Joey McGuire.
That line was at six and a half yesterday, was it?
Yes.
God, that breaks my heart because I loved.
I loved that line of six and a half.
Seven and a half is a little more nerve-wracking.
You're going to buy the point?
Yeah.
Oh, I forgot. Yeah, I forgot we're allowed to do whatever we want.
I think you're right with Costalanos.
Costalanos, I think, needs to be more part of their game plan.
He's a guy that just athletically, like when you're not showing how competitive your team,
or not showing that you're above and beyond the number one team in the Big 12.
You need to have a little bit of a spark.
I think Hammond is a stud.
I think he's a great football player.
But I'm not so sure he's not, you know, he's maybe 70% coming off that Nays.
you see him in the dropback.
It's a lot of, it's not a smooth drop back.
It's a lot of hopping.
And when he goes to throw, he's not pushing off that right leg a lot.
And you see it a lot of the ways his passes die.
And I think Texas State needs to really establish a run game against Houston.
I think Castellanos is they got to get that done.
I think they have more talent to get that done.
But then the quarterback on Houston, or the team in general,
last two games, they've had 1100 total yards.
Connor Wagman, I think he's a good ball player.
But I think for Houston to be successful in this game, they're going to have to run it.
And Texas Tech, as bad as they've been against the past, they've been incredible against the run.
They've held teams to 72 yards on average, 74 yards in the last two games.
I just think when Houston's going to have to throw their way into a win here or throw them into seven and a half, it's not going to, it's not going to work out for them.
The talent between Houston and Texas Tech, I think, even though people are saying the Big 12, the margin has gotten closer for who could win, it's gone from like, you know, about here to.
there's still a wide gap and i think it is texas tech they just haven't played the way they need to
yet so i'm going to take texas tech plus seven and a half here minus seven and a half
minus seven and a half um maybe give you six and a half take you up and i'll put four units on
that i'm gonna buy mine i'm gonna put a little more my units i like texas tech i like joey mcguire
i think um the defense giving up a hundred four and thirteen yards through the
year against oregon state is like a massive wake-up call for them to where they need to play better
They bring a bunch of transfer guys in for Jacob Rodriguez.
And I'm forgetting the name, but the first round pick for the Jets.
They have a lot of productivity, and that's it, David Bailey, thank you.
And that front seven.
But it's time to go now.
Now we go.
You got to go.
Texas Tech does have to go.
But I do think you bump up Castellanos or snaps.
Probably 10 or 15 extra steps.
And just to try and get the run game going, because you said they're going to have to
establish to run.
And I'm thinking, the stuff I've watched, like, are they going to be able to establish a run game?
Texas Tech.
Yeah, I'm asking, yeah, I'm asking if they'll even be able to do that without adding the piece of Casalanos.
See that number?
3.3 yards per carry against Oregon State?
It's not good enough.
It's not good enough for Will Hammond to find balance for them to have balance in play calling.
It's not good enough.
I don't think it'll be much better Friday night.
You know, you remember when Oregon,
almost got beat by Boise.
So they go on the road to Oklahoma State.
And everyone sitting there thinking,
they're favorite by 24 and a half.
Yeah, that makes sense.
They'll get their act together this week.
And they didn't.
They got beat.
I know what, you know,
history says is supposed to happen in this spot.
History says Texas Tech slowly getting their act together.
They had the Soresby stuff.
It's Will Hammond at quarterback now.
It's a new cast of characters.
You know, figuring things out against outmaned opponents,
week one and week two.
but week three, conference play begins,
Houston in there on a Friday night,
that's when it'll come together.
Maybe it will,
but I actually agree that Castellanos
has probably got to be a bigger part of this game plan
because I think there is a chance
that they get bogged down offensively
because they certainly play a high enough caliber opponent this week
to where, I mean, if you're not moving it,
you either count on one of two things,
you either change it up a quarterback,
give them a different element to look at,
or you just take the game over defensively.
Last year's Texas Tech team could just take games over defensively.
Think about the Brigham Young.
They didn't move the ball worth anything against Brigham Young,
but they smoked them defensively, dominated defensively.
This team is 63rd in havoc rate so far this year.
So they are probably not the caliber of defense that we saw.
I know Joey believes that they have the personnel.
They've certainly got like the experience level, the total snaps played.
But Houston can pressure you too.
So if you can't run the ball on them and they're able to get after Hammond.
And Hammond is far more, you know,
a still threat than Wegman is.
At least Wegman can move.
At least he can improvise and make some plays with his legs.
I think that number is based on preseason expectation a lot more than what you've seen.
Because it's kind of weird that they're playing in week three,
but they've already got a common opponent and it's Oregon State of all teams.
But if you look at what these two teams did just lined up against Oregon State,
at every turn, Houston's the better looking team.
Oregon State covered against both of them, by the way.
But Houston's the better looking team.
So I'm going to be on the opposite side.
I'll take Houston plus the points.
I think there's a reasonable shot they win the game outright.
But I do think Texas Tech may find a way to win it,
but I think it's a really tight game.
And if they don't win it,
then think about what that does to the Big 12th picture.
Blown wide open.
Houston wins that.
Because Utah looked incredible last week.
Brigham Young looked really good against Arizona last week.
Houston, if they win this game, will have looked good.
Oklahoma State just took down Oregon.
Kenny Dillingham's hanging out in London somewhere.
this week and they've got a conference game against Kansas.
Who knows what the Big 12 is.
So give me Houston.
You left one out, Kansas State.
Yeah.
I sleep on Kansas State.
Don't sleep on them.
There's one thing I'm always guilty of.
It's accidentally leaving out Kansas State.
Yeah.
Where no one's perfect.
I'm gonna put two units on this, Houston plus seven and a half.
Well, the way you spoke was like a five slap on the table.
Hey, hey, I'll say this too.
And as just the third party here, waiting on which one, who's going to talk me in a
what?
As far as the debate goes, like I'm going Houston plus seven and a half.
I don't know why, but that's what I'm taking.
Yeah.
because that was poetic.
It was poetic, but then he finishes it up with two.
He spoke so confidently,
and then he's like, I'll go one unit.
My confidence level is still low.
But it's an emotional part of me that wants Texas Tech
to get it turned around.
You know what it is.
I'm going to be aware of that.
It's also like the run game does need to be better.
I think that's where Casillanos is a massive help.
I agree.
I had one in the blocker.
He's very dynamic.
And they're using him in like a gimmicky, like,
Wildcat way, even though he is a quarterback.
But I think if he takes steps,
you put the game on against Alabama last year
and he's at Florida State,
get him outside the pocket,
allow him to have one or two reads,
then run the ball.
Like, you can take over the game that way
because Texas Tech is going to make them one dimension.
That's why I'm only two units.
Yeah.
I don't know what his presence would mean in the game.
Yeah.
And going one unit on Wegman, it's like,
I count trust Wegman.
But you've been in my life like seven years now.
I don't know what to expect from you.
Yeah. Do you think Houston, if you're a Houston defensive staffer, how much do you think you expect Castellanos to play?
I mean, you have a whole period during the week, like, dedicated to the wildcat, because not just doing Castellanos, they're doing the running backs as well.
Just Castellanos happens to be put out the slot and now the running back at the quarterback position.
And you're grabbing some cards of the things he did best, the run game last year at Florida State.
I just think, dude, the talent level and them having like, hey, you're down in the fourth.
We had to get it done against what's supposed to be an inferior opponent at their place.
Like there's a lot of wake up calls that take place,
especially when you walk in the building,
we're there in the springtime because there's an emotional element to Texas Tech,
but they have the talent.
They have the five stars, the athletes.
And it's like, that's a perfect game to go,
hey, we got out of that one,
but we need to realize, like, if we're going to be the team,
people expect us to be, we can't just walk in, put the jersey on and go.
And unfortunately, Houston's the next one.
This is the exact same line.
that we had for BYU versus Arizona last week.
It is, and I bet.
And that final, they were going to be uncovered.
They won by like 11, right?
Yeah, but it was, yeah, Arizona was in it the whole game.
Yeah.
This may be like that.
I just think maybe Houston, Texas Tech margin, maybe a little bit closer.
It would mean so much to college football too.
Let's go on the under.
I want to go under.
Wow.
Yeah.
I'm thinking if Castellanos gets more involved,
it completely changes their approach offensively.
And again, my thoughts on Wegman.
I think Texas Tech's defense, I think they're fine.
Like, I don't think they're going to be as explosive as they were last year, chaotic.
But I do think, like, the pieces that they do have, like watching them, they'll get their shit figured out.
Some of it's MA stuff, Miss Assignments.
I think they'll get it figured out.
But if Castellanos is going to be in the game more, I think it changes there.
It obviously changes the dynamic of how they move offensively.
And if they keep what they have going, I'm just not high on Hammond right now.
Not high on Hammond.
How many units?
One unit. One unit. Still very...
Yeah. This game's on the list, but you're not.
Yeah. The viewer at home is just watch this entire segment. Like, I'm not confident on this game.
Yeah, you started with that. So if they think anything other than that, then shame on them.
Yeah. Let's get to the next game. All right, here we go.
What is the next game? There it is right here.
All right, SMU at Louisville. Right now, Louisville is favored by one and a half points.
Total in that game is 59.5.
Are you confident in this one?
Over.
Nice.
Josh Payton, what do you think?
Great breakdown?
Over?
Great breakdown.
Okay, so these defenses are weak where these quarterbacks live, and that's an explosive
place.
Like you look at what Jennings has done.
He's number one in the country when it comes to 50-yard completions, and that is by design,
like Lashley.
He's built on tempo and explosives.
And when you look at Louisville's defense, they're what, tied for seven?
in the worst team in the country as far as giving up explosive plays, like over 50-yard completions.
I love Kynholtz. I think Kynholtz is a better finisher than Ash and Daniels was at Florida State.
Because even if you look at what Louisville does well, that's running the football well,
like you witnessed on Florida State. They ran the ball 45 times for 200 yards,
but SMU still went over 400 through the air and won that game.
Knowing that Kynholtz is a better closer than Ashton-Dalios,
I think this is going to be an awesome game. I do think it's going to be an explosive game.
If you're Brom or your Louisville, you might be thinking, how do you slow this game down to keep Jennings and SMU that offense off the field?
But as far as tempo and explosives go, all you have to do is give up a couple chunk plays and you're in a track meet whether you like it or not.
Louisville does have a team to compete in the track meet because they've been stress tested, pressure tested against Ole Miss a couple weeks ago.
I like the over in this game.
I think both quarterbacks are phenomenal.
And if I'm trying to hang my hat on which defense, which secondary is going to show up, they haven't shown it on tape that they can stop big plays.
So I like the over in this game.
Very slight lean towards Louisville here for me.
I'm going to put one unit on Louisville minus one and a half.
I think you may very well be on to something with the over.
Now, the stat profile for Louisville is heavily skewed because they're one of only two teams that have faced Trinidad Jambliss so far.
So that's baked in there.
But I do think it's valid.
Like the way you're breaking them down is valid.

To me, this is kind of a simplistic game.
This is one of those where you remember back when the Patriots used to play the Colts
and everyone would just say, oh man, it's Peyton versus Brady.
It's Peyton versus Brady.
That's not the matchup.
They're not on the field at the same time.
However, sometimes if you think you have a similar caliber
defensive unit on the field,
it really kind of comes down to which quarterback do I trust the most.
I like both of them.
Granted, I hadn't gotten to seeing Lincoln Kindholz
as much as I've been able to see the other guy,
but the other guy, Kevin Jennings,
has turned the ball over, and he's got a propensity for it.
And he did it against Florida State in week one.
That game should have been a blowout,
and instead it's a three-point game,
still covered two and a half,
but a three-point game because you kept turning the ball over and keeping a really bad team in a game.
You do that against Louisville.
Louisville's not a bad team.
No.
And Louisville's already in desperation mode because they got beat,
whereas you haven't had to pay the price for your mistakes yet.
And so I like Louisville at home taking this one unit.
I think it's going to be high score, a lot of variance in it,
but I'll lay the one and a half for one unit with Louisville.
Yeah. Jeff Brom, when he was at press conference on Monday,
the first question they asked him was about Kevin Jennings.
He answered the question in full detail,
about when a minute and a half on it.
The next five questions they asked
it had nothing to do with Kevin Jennings,
and Jeff Brom decided to turn it back to Kevin Jennings.
So they understand what killed them last year.
They know what they have to do.
I think a huge benefit to Louisville
is playing against Trinidad Chamble's and Ole Miss
in week one.
They brought up the X-Plays explosives
given up by the defense.
And you alluded to it.
It's like if you play Trinidad Chambleau and Ole Miss
in the first two games,
you're probably going to be in the back end of those explosives.
The biggest question mark going to season for Louisville wasn't the defense.
And if we look at what Ole Miss was able to do against Louisville,
people are going to see the explosive plays and the amount of points they put in the board.
But what they're not going to really look at is how the back end was able to run with some of those elite wide receivers,
how fast that front seven was and how aggressive that defensive front was against an offensive line
that is a, quote, SEC office line still figuring themselves out to the point where
Ole Miss had to use max protection to get their receivers down the field for training to have a chance late in that game when they're in an absolute shootout.
Then there's Connholz who throws 24 passes his whole entire career.
He's at Ohio State.
He loses the job to Julian Sam, which we've figured out why he lost that job.
He can throw the ball.
He can run it.
I think they have many more ways to attack SMU than SMU has to attack Louisville.
And so when I look at it's like, yeah, you have a tall order here by,
not only getting to Jennings, but also bringing him down because he has that escapeability
and the ability to throw it down the field.
I dislike the athletes on both sides more.
I like Kineholz in this position.
I like it being at home for Louisville.
I like Louisville minus one and a half.
And I like it at four units.
I feel really good about this team.
There's a big get back here for them.
They got embarrassed last year when these two teams played.
This is basically whoever wins this is like, you know, it's my.
Miami than them. And so there's a lot riding on this. And Louisville last year, they returned a lot of production on the defensive side of the ball. And they were top 25 in both categories run and pass. So it's like all of those numbers are very skewed to me because Ole Miss is such a good football team. And Trinidad Chambers is such a good football player. And what Lane Kempin was, they have two Heisman candidates in the backfield. So I like Louisville here. I like Louisville a lot.
Louisville wins this game too.
Like they are in a pressure moment as far as kind of back against the wall, but you take care of this game.
Who else do you really have?
Right.
Not sleeping on everybody in the ACC, kind of sleeping on them.
You go ahead and go to sleep.
It's fine.
But it's what Kentucky at the end.
And now you're taking Houston.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, here's what I want to know.
How much grass could be on the ground around this building?
Because they've been blowing for a solid 45 minutes out there.
And number two is, you know, there's.
There's so much hypocrisy in how I'll feel watching this game because you're on the over.
You're on the same side I'm on, but for four units.
So it's actually in my best interest to lose this game and even have Louisville get shut out
and have SMU win like 30 to nothing.
And that's not a fun place to be.
Yeah.
It's a game, man.
You got to move it up to four units?
No.
You're playing a big match.
You're playing a big match game right now.
Then we can just be even.
Now we can both root for the same thing.
Should we do that?
Yeah, I'm asking you the question.
Because he just goes on to win like 35-31.
That's what ends up happening.
I'll do it.
I'll meet you at three.
That's fine.
Did I say my units on this game?
I'll do two.
Two.
Oh, you're doing the over.
I like that as well.
I like the over here too.
There's going to be a lot of explosive things.
You're starting to talk being in some Louisville defense, but I got to stay where I'm in.
If you look at their schedule and look at Ole Miss, it's like, okay.
You go those little stats out the window.
Yeah.
Trade Aiders just like that, dude.
Um, which one do we have next?
We had Cock Nation.
Oh my God.
Cocktember.
Cocktember.
Cocktember.
I've been waiting for this one.
Sneaky funnest game of the week.
And I'm excited to see where Josh goes because we saw on week one where we were Auburn.
Auburn felt like the play.
But there was somebody in this shop that you loved that you wanted to back no matter what.
Slap the table for them.
Slop the table for it.
Sherman Young.
We have another one.
and even stronger,
this is even more of a diehard fan than Sherman Young.
And I'm not saying Sherman Young is not a fan of Baylor.
I'm just saying JP Hovey,
when you talk about the South Carolina Gamecocks,
like he is the South Carolina Gamecox.
You never question where JP's heart lies.
There was a season there where it was like,
who is Sherman a fan of?
Because he's kind of just talking about every Texas team.
And then Alabama came into full because his mom went there.
Yeah, which was nuts.
Yeah.
There was a trying time for him.
What was it, three and a half?
Mississippi, South Carolina's favorite three and a half total points in the game.
I can't read that.
Is it 58 and a half points?
Yeah, 58 and a half is the over and under.
I can't wait to see what Josh does.
I can't either.
Should we wait, John, hold Josh.
Because I don't know, like, even when he went Baylor and slapped the table for Sherm,
I'm like, was Sherman in his live chat that week on during Josh Page show?
I think, I know JP shows up to.
History tells me Josh is going to bury me.
And that head scratch is telling me the same thing.
You know what I thought happened with you?
Do it, Josh.
Is you had that DJ Lightway take that you refused to give up on.
Are you still on that, by the way?
It paid off for me.
Okay.
And then you locked eyes with Sherm at one point during you talking about the game.
And that's how you got to that point.
Oh, are you noticing that I have not looked at JP yet?
Are you reading a lot into that?
I've tried to not look at you until I spoke.
Because I've noticed for JP.
So I'm kind of just trying to stay.
I'm looking at Qombed.
I hate what I've got to do.
I hate what I've got to do.
Double table slap.
Man, it's more important.
Are you double slabbing?
It's more important to be right than be friends.
That's the most important thing in the world.
Revealing.
If you want to be confident,
racking up chunk plays against Towson and Kent State,
that's fine.
That's absolutely fine.
Do we have a head coach whose reputation is essentially on the line here?
And Shane Beamer.
Yes, it is.
Do we have a home-filled environment that I respect equal to, nay, more maybe than any of the places in the country that get all the height?
Yes, we do.
Cockpit's going to be on fire.
4.15 kickoff eastern time, 93, 94 at kickoff?
Perfect.
Here's the problem.
The problem is Mississippi State's better than South Carolina.
And I think the wrong team's favored.
I trust Camario Taylor more than I trust Lenora Sellers supporting cast
because I think they'll hang him out to dry again this week
because I don't trust him on the perimeter at all.
I don't trust his wide receivers to work for him.
I love not only the speed that Mississippi State has a receiver.
I just flat out love what Camaro Taylor's doing in the passing game.
Like people are looking at his stat line.
I guarantee you a lot of America still does not watch them
because they've played a no-name team and they played a no-name team
and they played Minnesota. You've watched him, right? You've watched him, right? I was very wrong
about him. Are these dumping passes off in a flat bunch of yards after catch? He's not doing that.
No, what are you seeing when you pop on? I'm seeing him throw bombs over Baghdad. He's a superstar. He's
a superstar. He is. So there's continuity, there's consistency, there's the ability to continue
copy paste this week over week. I don't trust South Carolina to have standard drive success. Like when you
watch him against Towson and Kent. It's gross, gross, boom, 50 yards. It's just we outman
you and eventually we'll take over. I don't like him at receiver at all. I don't know that I can
trust him on the lines of scrimmage. And I do trust Camario Taylor to be able to take over a game,
but it's not a one-man team. Like, they're really good at tailback as well. Mississippi State is.
I love just the overall speed they have out wide. And there are too many, there are too many holes
to plug if you're South Carolina. J.P. Pole. Not the
JP Hobie poll, but the JP poll has South Carolina power rated top 25.
Over Nebraska, over Michigan.
I simply don't believe that.
I think the model's drunk right now.
But I think it'll correct itself this week when it finds out the wrong team was favored.
So I'm going to take Mississippi State plus three and a half for four units.
Why did you go on money line?
I did in my own personal life.
Because I would love the way you just spoke.
All that talk.
All that talk.
And you ain't going to.
The second time on this show, he's done it.
Stairs us in the show.
me eyes, talk so confident.
We're like, holy shit, I feel so bad
because he's literally just taking rounds
and shooting him with JP's chest over and over.
And then he goes, I'll take the,
I'll take the points.
Can I tell you why?
Everybody listening to car right now,
sitting at home watching on the screen,
like, man, I need to turn on some missing state film.
Yeah, oh shit, we don't know about Camaro Taylor.
He's just go plus three and a half.
Body language.
I want to face him when I say this.
You know what I would love?
I would love for South Carolina
to win the game by three.
That's love.
That's what I want to be.
bake in as a possibility.
Is that supposed to carry
any way?
No. I didn't care.
He just slapped you.
Yeah, his crowbar theory.
He took the crowbar
and beat you in the face with it.
Cut of the leg off and put a turticket on.
That's what I do.
Maxed out your credit card.
Jackie, how good do you feel about this game?
I feel amazing about this game.
Like actually winning it?
You feel amazing about winning it or that
the game's going to happen?
Both.
I feel amazing about winning it
because ultimately,
I know the Camaro Taylor-Lenora Sellers like matchup is what everybody's talking about.
To me, it's really Bryles versus Mississippi State's D.C., which what's his name?
Zach Run up.
Yeah.
Great D.C.
I trust our defense more than anything.
They've proven the last three, four years that they can play against any single team.
I see your eyes getting wide.
You said anything.
Dude, our defense shows up against all of the best teams and teams a lot better than this Mississippi State team.
Like at the end of the day.
and Mississippi State does have holes on their team,
and they haven't played anybody to expose them,
and we've got guys to expose them.
Receiver, I agree, we need somebody to step up.
Anybody.
Anybody.
And what a game to step up in.
This is it.
I love it.
I wish I had your passion.
I'm rocking with you, JP.
I like South Carolina minus three and a half.
I think Lenore Sellers is going to be the best player on the field on Saturday.
He will be.
I say that with the confidence level one,
but I do believe he'll be the best player.
Jay says, he's just getting swapped.
I'm rocking with you, bro.
Wait up this episode to give you some Jack Daniels,
whether I'm at a tailgate or on the couch watching Michigan on Saturday,
Jack Daniels is a staple on my game day roster.
They got a flavor for every type of fan.
You got the cinnamon kick of Jack Fire,
the smooth taste of Jack Honey, the crisp and refreshing Jack Apple,
and the only Blackberry bursting with Jack personally.
I'm a Jack Honey type of guy.
Bold calls on the field and in your glass,
there's a Jack for every football football.
fan let's get back to this episode hey fun fact on this game
leby yeah head coach from mississippi state yeah bryles yeah the oc for south carolina
yeah they're brother-in-laws really levy he married uh bryles's sister
so there's a lot of personal yeah there's a lot of there's a lot of there's a lot of
personally yeah there's some personal bragging rights on this game leby took his sister man took her
He took his sister, man.
I gotta get this to the facility.
Yeah.
This is a fun fact on the game.
But JP, I'm rocking with you.
Now, what the hell is Dylan Stewart gonna play?
No.
I need Dylan Stewart playing.
Dill is he'll playing.
Their left tackle is also not playing.
No, I think it's trending up with him.
Yeah, trending up with left tackle, but
Dill Stewart, I don't know.
And we're gonna sleep on on Shane Beamer?
We're giving up on Shane Beamer.
I love Shane Beamer.
I love Shane.
Mississippi State, you're right.
Camaro Taylor, absolute superstar.
I fucking love this dude.
I love this quarterback.
But fifth start, fifth career start, going into Williams-Bricent Stadium?
Just one of the big team.
Williams-Bricis.
Williams-Bricis Stadium is going to be crazy.
It's going to be crazy.
Williams-Brice State, the cockpit?
It's going to be loud.
I like the line of scrimmage.
I love 17, the linebacker.
Number 17 for South Carolina.
When I watch Mississippi State's film, I think there's, you have two, obviously,
two game weeks, but I feel like enough is there for, to where it's really simple,
They simplify it for Kamaro Tabor.
It's like receivers are outside the numbers.
It's a lot of easy RPO scheme for them to where if you're South Carolina defensively
going into this game, game planning it, there's not a lot you have to do other than keep your
eyes on your work and don't fall asleep out on the perimeter.
He's got the velocity on the ball to where he can get it out there quick if there's enough
space.
They do have a lot of speed.
But it's not like it's very simple.
The run game's simple.
Anytime you get a Y off in the backfield, you're thinking the RPO.
Maybe a play action deep.
Anytime a receiver or a tight-in, they motion behind the line of scrimmage, it's 90-plus percent run.
Anytime they're taking off before they even get to the line of scrimmage, like it's a past play.
Like it's keep your eyes on your work, do your job, and stop the run.
Because you're going to have the guys out on the perimeter, and it's like take care of the box.
Like Minnesota did a poor job of tackling the ball carrier for Mississippi State.
Mississippi State, offensive line ate that defensive line up, moving them out of gaps.
Like Mississippi State kind of bullied him.
But if you watch the second half of the Minnesota game,
Minnesota was out playing them for the majority of the third quarter
before they didn't get their fourth down play at the goal line.
They go in, they have a long drive, kick a field goal.
It's 31-13.
They get the ball back.
Mississippi State goes three and out.
Minnesota drives all the way down the field.
Again, it's fourth and three.
They end up going for it instead of kicking a field goal,
knowing that your two scores down.
They just don't get the field goal.
Mississippi State scores one more touchdown.
The game's pretty much boring and over from there.
And that's against a pro-style quarterback, too.
Like I think Lenore Sellers browsing this RPO game,
they're going to see a rink.
Mississippi State defensively is going to see a wrinkle
that they just haven't seen at this level of athlete.
And again, it's like,
Lenore Sellers, I need him to dial in his accuracy,
but I'm hedging on that they had a,
what was it, 90 minute rain delay?
Yep.
90 minute rain delay.
Receiver does need to show up.
I do wish Dylan Stewart was playing,
so I'm kind of talking my confidence level down,
but I do like South Carolina in this game.
So I'm going to take South Carolina minus three and a half.
I'm going to put my confidence level of two.
So two units, South Carolina.
I think if you're watching Phil on Mississippi State's offense,
they're the easiest team in all of college football to scout.
You broke down what they can do.
Thank you, man.
Tell the people.
It's 11 personnel 24-7.
The Y is off.
All the things you just said make sense.
The problem is Camaro Taylor.
That is the problem.
The problem is Camaro Taylor.
And it's the RPO.
Lenores, like you talked about the, with the D.C. and the O.C.,
that's the battle.
Like, I still go back to Camario Taylor and Lenore.
Norsellers. Those are the two guys in this game that are going to make a difference.
And it's Camaro Taylor is what South Carolina believed North Sellers to be a couple of years ago.
Where they're like, this is a guy. He can run it. Look how big. Look how athletic he is. He can throw the ball.
He can stand on flat foot and throw it 60 yards down the field. And Camaro Taylor is the new shiny toy in the SEC that everyone's excited about.
Complete misread by me when it came to the Minnesota game last week. I felt very confident about Minnesota.
I still think Minnesota is a well-coached discipline ball club, but it's the Comario-Taylor
effect.
It's the speed they have on the perimeter.
I think Lenore Sellers goes into this week, understanding his relationship with Beamer,
you see the last couple of years when they had a bunch of guys that are going to be NFL draft picks,
stay in South Carolina.
It says a lot about the head coach, says a lot about the culture, says a lot about the whole school in general.
I think Lenore Sellers is taking this very personal.
I think every great athlete should take these things personal when you're supposed to be
the great shiny toy than something else comes in and it's the new buzz light year to the woody
and toy story one i love the over in this game i love 58 and a half i think this is going to be
the biggest firework game of the season i think uh they're going to trade uh trade blows both
quarterbacks are going to have incredible stat lines i can't say where i would go in this
because i'm a for the boys type of guy yeah and i'm not going to let that be public so i'm
I'm gonna say 58 and a half over on that.
I think fireworks all around
and it's gonna be a great place to be in South Carolina
this weekend to watch a football game.
I got, I'll do four on that.
I'll do four. I love points in this game.
Don't be surprised with an early turnover
from Camaro Taylor.
I wouldn't be, I was,
and Williams, Bryce's stadiums.
And then we're never looking back.
Can I, listen, after the Minnesota game,
I was like, oh, Mississippi State is.
Can play with anybody.
Camaro Taylor can keep,
them in games.
Yeah.
You're right.
But I also know, and through us doing the show the last couple of years together,
is every time I see a new shiny toy and I buy into that toy, it bites me in the ass.
So to protect everybody here, I have to go the over.
Because if I go Mississippi State, something could happen.
Yeah.
I see where your head's up.
Yeah.
And also what happens if Camaro Taylor gets hit in the mouth early in the game?
I think he...
Like, how does the team respond?
I think that defensive player falls down and he keeps running.
Wow.
And come up here, six, four, like, 240.
The kid's a unit.
Yeah.
He's a unit.
More like competitively.
Like they don't come off to a hot start.
Like it's a slower game.
I think it goes back to what we talked about after week one.
When we were talking about this game when they were going up to Minnesota is the confidence level that this quarterback has is like Cam Newton-esque type of confidence.
Like he has open throws.
crossing routes down below.
He doesn't give a shit about that.
Camaro Taylor's the new Cam Newton.
Said by Josh Payne.
But also, hey, but also
low-key, right?
Said by Josh Pete.
He's kind of like that.
He's kind of like that.
But I love Lenora Sellers taking it personal.
I love him getting out of his wide receivers.
You guys need to fucking do a better job.
So you think this game's going to be,
I'm the new Cam Newton.
And then the next drive is like,
no, I'm the new Cam Newton.
Exactly.
I think both quarterback starts podcasts
by the fourth quarterbacks.
Both start podcasts.
Both start, yeah, they both have a podcast band.
What do they wear to the postgame presser?
The biggest hat you've ever seen.
How big is the feather going to be on the cap of the winter?
This is Alice in Wonderland type of big hat, dude.
We're talking 10 gallon.
One final quick note on Minnesota, because Minnesota were being used as like,
they beat Minnesota, they handle Minnesota.
Who is one of Minnesota's offensive coaches?
Mike Shula.
You think we worried about an office?
offense that has Mike Shula with his hands in it.
I think Judge Lindsay, nice.
Yeah, but he's talking about Mike Shulah.
Josh Ben.
No, no, no, no, I just want to, I don't want to, that was a fun fact.
I actually did not even know Shula was up there.
Another fun fact is Clemson has low-key been kind of terrible the last few years, right?
You've watched them.
You've watched every game.
So Garrett Riley was the punching bag.
Dabo hit the flush button.
Good, man.
We got Garrett Riley out of here.
We'll be fine.
And all Garrett Riley's done.
is gone on to Missouri,
and they're lighting it up.
And all the Clemson folks,
if you picked up on this,
they're starting to say, wait a second,
Garrett Riley wasn't the problem?
Are we the problem?
Have you, this has been kind of fun to watch.
A little side note.
Just some Palmetto State back and forth
between me and JP.
Vicarious Wayne has the same amount of touchdowns
as Clemson's offense.
Oh no.
Oh, no.
Another phone fact.
It's a good pivot to the gravely game of the week.
Is it ever?
Dude, I have to do a better job of organizing these things.
Go buy a lawnmower.
Go buy a lawnmower.

Ole Miss LSU is favored by three and a half points in Oxford total points in that game
58 and a half talked about the storylines talked about Kiffin talked about people being served
subpoenas or whatever it is as they get litigation taking place on a on a Tuesday morning
what's to make of this game Wilcompton over I'm chasing points I'm chasing 60 plus this
weekend in a couple S to me Louisville LSU Ole Miss to me it's what weakness
gets exposed first is it the ball security of LSU's offense with Sam Levitt because again
it's like yeah let down not not let down spot but not even giving a shit that you're playing
oh that they gave a shit Louisiana Tech but also Sam Levin what are you doing three picks first half
four turnovers um or the weaknesses of Ole Miss's defense and part of me is like the reason I love
the over in this game too is you have Trinidad Chambliss and Lacey like this offense is going to be high-powered
Yeah, LSU's defense is incredible.
Like, athletic up front, flies of the football at the second level.
They're long on the outside.
And number two, that's safety.
He's as good as anybody in the country.
Yeah.
Is Ty Benefield?
Yeah, he is an absolute-
Boise State transfer.
Yep.
He's an absolute stud.
He's an eraser at that third level when playing in the box.
He's got range on the outside.
Great speed, great closing speed, in control of his body.
Like, they have everything as far as Ole Miss's defense is concerned.
I just I like Trinidad Chambers. I love the spot LSU coming into Oxford. It's like LSU
has it who they beat Louisiana Tech and Clemson or Clemson right now like they're a dog shit
football team right now. I mean right now right like like who they beat nobody they haven't
but yeah they haven't played Chambliss and Lacey they haven't walked into Oxford with
they've walked in to Oxford with game day there nobody they've walked in there with Langell
in there with Lane Kippen walking into that building.
Game Day was at LSU Clemson, week one.
No, I'm talking game day going to be at Oxford this weekend.
Oh, uh-huh.
Yeah.
Like they haven't walked into a moment like this.
It might have felt like that moment, but that was more getting right with all the distractions going on.
Just let him go.
Just let him cook.
Keep cooking.
Keep cooking.
I'm absolutely dialed in right now.
There's no notes.
Because it's going to be the over.
It's going to be the over.
Slop the table, Will?
Slop the table.
Give me the fucking over.
Yeah.
Dude, they haven't dealt with game day.
LSU doesn't know about distractions.
No, they haven't dealt with game day.
Being there?
They're just quietly in the office.
I mean it like that.
I'm in like game day in Oxford, Mississippi.
They had game day in Baton.
That was against Clemson, who is what?
Who we thought was going to be a team?
Absolutely.
Who we thought, but then the game happened.
It's like, okay.
damn Clemson really got broken half then you're up what seven points against
Georgia Southern if you had to pick a team because I love the slap the table I
love that there are been no distractions for LSU this game there's got to be
distractions who would you pick I'm not gonna hold your feet to the I just want to
know your thought process probably LSU you just inceptioned him yeah yeah
that's an L oh I thought you're pointing at me yeah probably LSU because again
Ole Miss defensively I'm just not I don't have a whole lot
of faith and as good as LSU's defense is, they're going to have, I mean, they're going to have
a plan for it. Like Trinidad Chambers, he gets the ball off in 2.5 seconds. Like the pressure rate of LSU
is great, but it doesn't work if you're not going to get to the quarterback. Yeah.
Quick potty break to shout out neutral. No free shoutouts to neutral. Neutral tastes great
so much better than what else is out there. It's made of real vodka and real juice. That's
what makes it taste great and delicious. It comes in a variety of flavors, pineapple, watermelon,
and lime and strawberry to name a few.
And it's perfect for social occasions
because it is such a crowd pleaser.
Think on the beach with friends.
At a house watching the game with the boys,
at a local bar watching the games with the boys.
It's the perfect time of year to grab a 12 pack of neutral for the beach
or grab a bucket deal in your favorite bar
to celebrate football season.
Neutral, keep it tasty.
So if I had to lean anywhere, I'd say LSU,
I'm personally like I would love to see Ole Miss Wind
just because of everything that went down last year.
But if I had to lean anywhere, it'd be LSU,
but I do love the over in this game.
58 and a half.
Your LSU as well?
No.
No.
No, I think the wrong team's favorite again.
Really?
Yeah, and it moved across three this morning,
which does me a huge favor because I'm taking Ole Miss plus the points.
So they're going to give me three and a half.
Don't find peer pressure me on the money line.
I'm just taking the points here.
I'm going to put three units on this game.
What makes me a little bit nervous is you actually just gave a perfect skiding report for Clemson.
So I think there's maybe.
been a little bit of a knee jerk in the marketplace when everyone watched that week one result.
It's really hard to look away from. It's a huge blowout win. And so I think there was a little
bit of an overreaction. I actually think Ole Miss got tested way more in week one. And we probably
learned a lot more about Ole Miss and week one against Louisville than we did LSU facing Clemson.
And some of the questions like can LSU sustain a running game against a better defensive front?
I actually still don't know.
I still don't know about LSU's defensive front being challenged with a really experienced interior offensive line here.
Clemson couldn't run the ball because they were behind immediately.
So they had to try and throw.
And side note, they couldn't do that either.
So I don't know that we saw the water pressure against the dam.
If the cracks are there, we don't even know where the cracks are.
We theoretically will find out where the cracks are this weekend.
I think there's a lot to be said for desperation.
I think there's a lot to be said, same way with Texas last week, for one team wanting to win the game,
one team needing to win the game.
Like I can picture a world where LSU walks out of here with a close loss and they're good
to go the rest of the year.
This has the chance to do something mentally to Ole Miss.
If they don't win it the same way Texas may have been neutered mentally if they didn't
come back and win that game against Ohio State last week, although this is that times 10
because of the personal connection with Lane Kiffin.
There's no answer for Trinidad Chambers.
If there was Kirby Smart in Georgia would have had it.
And they got to face them twice last year.
and they had no answer for him.
So all due respect to Blake Baker.
Like we were talking to him
the day before the Clemson game
in the wait room,
and he laid out everything they were about to do.
Player for player, matchup for matchup.
He laid out everything they were about to do
to Clemson and they did it.
It was like spoilers to a movie.
And we were standing there on the sideline
going, yep, there it is.
Yep, there he is.
There's that matchup.
I don't know.
I'd love to have Blake Baker on the show.
Like we can call him.
I don't think he's answering right now.
What's your answer for Trinidad Chambers?
What's your answer
for like Deuce Alexander. What's your, what's your answer for Kiwan Lacey? What's your answer?
Do you think you've really got the dudes up front? Young guys, really talented guys, but young guys,
like, that's where they're about to be tested. And I trust Ole Miss's ground game more than LSU in this
game. And if everyone wants to look back at the Clemson game in week one as the mantle you're
going to hang your hat on, don't you have to look at week two? Like if you're going to be so supremely
confident after the Clemson game, don't you have to look at that offensive line giving up
five sacks and 11 tackles for loss last year, or last week rather, don't you have to look at
three interceptions? So that balances out in my mind. And what it equates to is I've still got
some questions. And if I'm even in my mind, I'm going with home team in desperation mode,
so I'll take Ole Miss plus three and a half. I'm going to put three units on it.
Three units. Three units. I think if you put any other
jersey or logo on Ole Miss this week.
I'd be a more uncomfortable by LSU.
But Lane Kiffin is the Joker of college football.
And the Joker doesn't get up for petty crime.
He gets up to turn civilizations against themselves.
And this is the perfect seat for Lane Kiffin.
And we talked about how he's saying all the pressures on them.
He pat himself on the back about how many games they won last year.
And all the pressures on Ole Miss to win this game.
And there's a heightened sense of security when it comes to Oxford, all the things.
It plays into Lane Kiffin's mindset.
the way he wants to operate.
I agree with you with the offensive line.
The offensive line on LSU has to play a lot better
for them to be successful.
Lane Kiffin's offense is a run first offense.
You have to establish a run in order for the passing year
to be successful in order for him to put up
as many points as he usually does.
I did look at the second game of Ole Miss and Charlotte,
and what I saw was Charlotte outrush Ole Miss.
When Ole Miss's team, the strength of their defense
is supposed to be the front seven,
specifically the interior of their defensive line.
So I see a matchup that early in the, earlier in the year, I would have said that Ole Miss has a, has a massive edge on.
Now it's like, well, not so much because they do, LSU just have a good tackle.
There's some question marks in the interior.
So I think they're going to be able to run the ball.
I've already talked about Sam Lev as my highest one guy.
Three interceptions against law tech is nothing that you can really go and kind of be like, well, it doesn't matter.
Except for the fact that it doesn't matter.
And you said it last week, like neither one of those teams walked into Charlotte or Louisiana.
Tech and thought, oh, we're going to scout this game.
They walked in there as no team should ever do in football and just put the uniform on
and won the game.
They went through the motions.
I bet you there was more scouting in practice for both LSU and Ole Miss on each other
than there were against Charlotte and Louisiana Tech.
The thing that can get LSU into trouble is Sam Levitt trying to play hero ball.
He doesn't need to play hero ball.
And I think that's where the run game with Dylan Jones, the Wisconsin transfer, really comes in.
He is a bright spot for them, not only through training camp, but the first couple of weeks.
And I just think there's the edges.
Was it Princewell and Ross, the Tennessee transfer for LSU against Trinidad Chambliss?
Getting to the quarterback is not going to be a problem.
Ole Miss's offensive line is not great, say the least.
Trinidad is an elite talent.
He's a special one-of-one type cat.
But the speed that LSU has, they're going to be able, they're going to have an answer for Deuce Alexander.
They're going to have an answer for a cage rush with a,
with a guy a spy, probably weeks,
or an athlete they put out there
just to follow him around.
Any of those backers, they all got speed.
They all can run.
Trade is green anytime he's on the field.
You have a mismatch.
Regardless of who you put on him,
Winnie Watkins Jr., they have all these sound bites
some Ole Miss guys saying, I don't have relationship with Lane Kiffin.
Now we cool, it's all good, no bad blood, but X, Y, and Z, I don't mess with him.
There's other guys that have transferred from, that came from Ole Miss to LSU
that probably feel the same exact way that want
to make Ole Miss feel some type of way.
This is a game I saw just like with Clemson,
where they're going for two.
We see Lane Cefini's shooting hoops again,
and they're up double digits in the fourth quarter of this game.
I like LSU a lot.
I'm not going to pick LSU to win the SEC
and Sam Levitt to win the Heisman,
only to get to week three and turn my back on them now.
I love LSU.
I'm going to go four units, three and a half,
minus three and a half.
I like LSU a lot.
I think, I mean, they have Trinidad.
I think the things that I'm going to.
But, like, Key one hasn't been, like, he's rushed for, I think, like, 30 less yards per game so far in the first two weeks.
Their offensive line is a massive question mark, especially at the right tackle position, but the interior, they're not getting a whole lot of push.
It's about 2.5 seconds.
Like, it's a different breed of animal in the back end.
It's going to be able to cover guys faster.
So Trinidad's going to do what he does best.
He's going to run around a lot.
But I just like athletes.
I like the athletes on the other side of the ball when things start to break down.
The things that I'll like to keep an eye on, like, watching the film and the interior of the offensive line for LSU is 52, that left guard.
Like he was getting exposed against Louisiana attack.
Like, it'll be interesting to see how they attack that side of the, that side of the line of scrimmage.
And then also offensively with LSU, they don't get to the quarterback very well.
Like, they're big up front.
Like, they got some big boys up front.
But I think they might be too big.
Like, as far as attacking the perimeter,
the depth on the D-line.
Like, again, hitting the perimeter,
hitting the wide-running game, wide zones.
And then also it's like trying to chase around Levitt.
Like, he's a dynamic quarterback.
He's just got to protect the football.
He's the one that could get them in trouble.
So it'll be interesting to kind of watch that game
from a schematic standpoint.
Because LSU does have the favor of here, Joshua.
Let's remember as we're sitting here next week coming off this game,
it's going to be a huge emotional letdown for at least one team,
if not both teams.
LSU has A&M at home.
next weekend.
Ole Miss has to go to Florida next weekend.
So there's no time to get right.
There's no time to disappear off the radar
and do what Oregon's doing
against Portland State this week, just to keep that in mind.
Just keep an eye on that.
Yeah, keep an eye on that one.
Just monitor that.
Like some of the underdogs next week on the state
is what you're talking about.
Could be advantageous.
Yeah, Texas A&M.
Kind of like that.
I think LSU,
this is a state, I mean,
like I said in the beginning,
if this was a different logo
that Lane Kiffin had no beef with publicly,
I could see the talent of Ole Miss handling it.
But this is just, this is just Lane Kiffin.
Yeah.
I think Chef said it.
It's like they always have like a,
they give up it, like Lane Kiffin's teams
always give up a stinker every year.
He kept using the word stinker with me.
And I'm like, all right, this is not that.
Like this is, all eyes are on Ole Miss.
The whole world is talking about this game.
And I like, I like the agent of chaos.
I like Wayne Giffith.
Should we talk some underdogs?
Let's talk underdogs, dude.
Because I like what I'm at.
Who do you like underdog?
Dog of the week.
I like Eastern Washington
plus 42 and a half versus Washington.
I think you talked about it a lot.
We've talked about it as like Washington
being a sleep routine in the Big Ten.
I haven't seen anything on film.
They're just asleep.
They're asleep.
They're a sleep.
They're a sleep.
And I just 42 and a half points
just in general is a lot.
to me. So I mean, it's not going to be a competitive game, but I see Eastern Washington
covering. I like that pick. And to your point of Washington, like, they can't, they're, they're on
the outside looking in of the Willie C Top 25. I'm going Kentucky with the points this week. I think
Texas A&M's a little overrated. So I like Kentucky with the points. I want to say, what is the
16 and a half? I know it's double digits. 16 and a half, yeah. But I like Kentucky. I like
Kentucky at A&M. And yeah, I think A&M's a little overrated. I don't think Marcel Reed has
played like that well compared to him being in the Heisman conversation. And it's like they played a
pretty clean, pretty clean game like one penalty, no turnovers. And they just, I don't know. They're
not like the most exciting team to watch. Arizona State coughed the ball up several times.
A lot of penalties. Look what happened to them. Now they're in London. But I'm going to go,
yeah, Kentucky with the points here against A&M. Oklahoma last week as a favorite lost. And they go home
and they're going to play a game no one's watching this week,
except for me because they're playing New Mexico.
I've had this game circled since spring.
I think it's a very dangerous spot for Oklahoma.
New Mexico is getting 22 and a half.
New Mexico plus 22 and a half is my dog of the week.
Perfect segue into our parlays.
My first leg, I have Oklahoma covering 22 and a half versus New Mexico.
Wounded animal theory.
Everyone hates John Mateer now.
I love John Mateer now.
I love John Matias.
I love this team.
I love 22 and a half.
Brent Venables, you saw the vein coming out.
He's just all red right now.
And he wore sunblock for that game in Michigan.
BYU versus Colorado.
I have the over 52 and a half.
BYU used to score a lot of points.
The graveyard had a comment about Colorado.
I can't remember.
So that's why I like them.
And then Western Michigan, Rich Rodriguez, plus nine and a half.
Sorry, yeah, what I say?
Western Michigan.
Sorry.
I'm still thinking about them, bro.
I'm still thinking about them.
West Virginia plus nine and a half versus Virginia.
The total for that parley is plus 636.
I don't like this parlay.
I love this parley.
I got a spicy one for you, fellas.
Is it Delaney Walker spicy?
What's Delaney Walker spicy?
I think his parlay last week was plus 100, plus 105.
No, I mean, it's low in yours, but it ain't plus 100.
Virginia Money Line.
Love it.
Over 50 and a half, LSU Old Mills.
over 50 and a half SMU Louisville,
Notre Dame Michigan State under 52.5.
USC Altline minus 8.5 versus Rutgers
and then Nebraska Cornhuskers,
minus 12 and a half altline against North Dakota.
That's plus 497.
Lost in a lot.
I'd love to take Clemson minus three and a half
against North Carolina.
I'd love to pair that up with Purdue plus 14 and a half
against UCLA.
Don't know what it returns,
but I hit my parlay last week.
Do it again this week.
And I'm gonna try and do it again this week.
I'm getting one this week.
Fucking Iowa let my ass down last week.
That's all we had left.
Was it three and a half?
I forget what I took them on an alt line.
I wanna say they were favored by.
They were like, they were double digit.
Double digit and I took them at like Iowa minus six.
I don't expected them to mop Iowa State
based on what Matt Campbell did to that program.
You would have expected Washington
to mop Utah State.
Yeah.
Like there are a lot of, you would have expected Illinois to handle business against Duke.
Big Ten's kind of pissing down their leg right now as far as a conference.
It's early.
It's early, but.
Hop in conference place.
Someone has to win every week.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We're talking about it.
Yeah.
What the hell is Washington doing, man?
It all started with, was it DeMond Williams, him trying to go to LSU, signing the papers,
and then all of a sudden, like, you know what, I'm not going to go?
And then has to go back into a locker room, be like, ah, I was just fucking around.
Guys, I'm back.
I was just messing around.
Sneaky game this weekend too, Virginia Tech, Maryland.
Yes, very sneaky.
Keep your eye on that.
Very sneaky. Model loves Maryland.
I hate it.
Model loves Maryland.
Early in the year of Maryland.
James Franklin takes people betting against him personally.
Like really, I think he takes the point spread itself personally.
If that's the case, he never watched our show.
Because that happened a lot and we were right.
That's true.
Who was the gentleman that he kept saying hello?
I don't know.
It was over like a Zoom.
The guy kept asking him the question.
He was like, hello.
Hey, hey.
over and over again.
I think he got stuck in a joke
and then the joke
wasn't resolving itself,
but he said,
I can't bail now.
So he just kept saying it
and it got really cringy,
really, really quick.
Got real uncomfortable.
Yeah.
It's like when you,
when you tee it up
and you think the other guy
knows what the spike on it is,
but the guy's like,
uh,
yeah,
he just wanted to ask this question
and get out of it.
He's nervous asking that question.
I'm 19 years old.
I'm late for class.
I don't even get paid for this.
Good show.
Good show.
Just sitting.

Dear honies, this is goodbye. By the time you get this letter, both Petra and I will be dead.
Next stop, Wonderland.

And what did it do to the people they left behind?
