Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's us The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:08 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from. some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman helped make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
Starting point is 00:00:44 help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam? Isaiah Thomas.
Starting point is 00:01:01 And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was part of you. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Then after that game seven, Marquis come in to you, he's like, you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball. So listen to Point Game on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I remember this because I remember you saying like, you know, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:01:32 Yeah. I don't know where I am right now. And I sit down in the bench chair. That's right. And that's what I tell you like what? Like the fuck is going on with you. Yeah. And I said you need like you need to get someone.
Starting point is 00:01:41 This is as like, I just got goosebumps. Right. This is as we're finishing everything up. You can tell like Dennis is trying to communicate something. You just can't. What do you need to do? I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:02:06 I don't know. You're big ass, dude. I appreciate it. I like you've been here before. Yeah, figure it out, Will. Stop playing with it like that. Quit playing with it like that. I just got to get it set out.
Starting point is 00:02:18 This pause got a little too sexual. It's got a little too sexual. And it's my fault. It is, but I enjoy it now. I'm thinking, what's up? Imitation is the best form of flattery or something like that. What's the phrase? Is that the phrase?
Starting point is 00:02:33 What do you mean? You've got your legs crossed. Oh, people don't just cross their legs. That's weird. Yeah, you got the full cross, dude. The full cross, dude. My dick and balls like, like, well. They're like this.
Starting point is 00:02:42 they don't know which one is up right now with those chicken legs though they're getting stronger every day they get a little bit stronger and I don't need to talk listen some people just build different right you play the same position but look at us yeah we are built different
Starting point is 00:02:57 a little bit I was telling the boys before you walked in will and I both were that you see you on the field and you're massive man but when you're next to you it's like wow he's really a fucking big dude right like you and I sit next to each other in meetings before COVID sure and I would put my leg next year
Starting point is 00:03:14 when it was fully as big as it could be. And it's like two, three times of size. Have you always been that being? I've always been a big kid. Like in high school I played basketball. Let's get that mic a little closer. Don't be shy. Is that better?
Starting point is 00:03:25 Yeah, don't be shy. I like, I played basketball. So I was like, I was always tall. But I was, I was a toothpick. Like, I'd get blown around by like strong gust of wind. You get blown. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:36 And so I didn't bulk up until that second semester of my senior year. Yeah. So, but like, yeah, I've always been like really tall and like really. So you went from your freshman year, you're getting blown around, your second year, you're doing the blowing. Yeah, okay. Let's go with that. Well, I'm just saying if we're using the phrase, right, you went from getting blown to blowing. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:55 So how big were you your freshman year of high school? Freshment year high school is 6-4-190. Wow. Yeah. That's a lot of house. Before we get fully going, this podcast is brought to you by Barstall. Oh, shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:09 I just want to put that out there. So we don't got to clip me. I haven't seen Dennis since one. No, I love this. I love the energy. Like, you had like the 20 minute, like a little spare.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Yeah, I went to the facility. I went to the facility. I tested and went to the facility. And I did a couple of things with them, a couple days. My leg blew up and I was like, I'm going to just get out of here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Yeah, you picked a great day. They hit the old dusty trail. Did you hear about this? Yeah, Will, told me all that. Well, did you, okay.
Starting point is 00:04:30 So for anybody who's obviously all the people that are listening right now because we have such a huge audience. Billions. Billions. Billions. I went in and Vrabel loves. Vrable loves the trio of me, Will, and Vrable. He loves the dynamic.
Starting point is 00:04:43 But more than anything, he loves Will. He fucking loves Will. It's debatable at times. It's debatable at times. It depends on the day. So I go and I do my five days of testing whenever six day I go in. And I go to a team meeting because Will told me
Starting point is 00:04:58 that Vrable texting him about you and DB's. Me posting DB, putting on the neck brace, the yellow jersey and talking about other people's injuries and putting it on social media. He's like, we'll see what the team is decided tomorrow. So I'm like, I'm going to the team. I didn't even go to rehab that day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:10 So I go to the team meeting and Vrable didn't know. I sat in the corner all the way in the back, but like way off to the side. Yeah. Brable didn't notice me that I was there and just fucking went off on Will. And then the next day apparently, that's what I did. That was my last day and I dipped forever. And I guess the next day, Vrable had plays from the Houston game where I was just fucking up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:32 And then when Ty was like killing it too, like Ty like came down on like a down block and just wash the guy out of the way. Yeah, there's no mercy. Dude, he was coming out. Taylor picked a great day to miss. That's so funny. Like, I've been there the whole time. He acted like I've been there the whole fucking time. I love it.
Starting point is 00:05:50 That's, um, if I was there full time, I would not have loved it. But being, being disconnected, it's like, oh, it's funny. It's a breath of fresh air. It is. Being disconnected sometimes. It is a breath of fresh air, especially with Raves. Because here's the deal of Raves. Raves loves joking.
Starting point is 00:06:04 He loves joking on you. But the minute you joke back, it's like, well, I'm just kidding. it's just a joke. Yeah. And you're like, Hey, please don't hurt my feelings. That, man. Like, if you're going to joke,
Starting point is 00:06:13 let me joke back and then we'll joke and then it'll be over. Yeah. Like, you don't have to hurt my feelings now. Right. Like, it's done. That's fucking game over. So if Rable's,
Starting point is 00:06:23 it's a one-way street with Freyblen. And sometimes you never know if he's joking. Yeah. He does a really good job of like playing it. Yeah. Because even the Darren Bate stuff, he was like, I was like, I checked with DB
Starting point is 00:06:34 and he said it was okay. Like I could post this. And he goes, we'll let the team, decide in the morning. We'll let the team to be the judge of that, be the judge in the morning. Something, okay, maybe he's joking because if he brings up to the team and allows the team to decide, I'm sure they'll double down with him and I'll still be at the butt of the joke, but at least I'll know it's more of a joke. It wasn't the case the next day. He was like going in and
Starting point is 00:06:54 I feel like he was starting to think like I'm going to go a joke, but then he just started to pick up on whatever you're saying and just started to get like upset about it's own hype. Yeah, believe in his own hype. He's like, if it was me, I'd fucking go right after his hip. and then we moved on the next thing and I was just kind of sitting there and we were just in there asshole tight for the rest of the day like fuck
Starting point is 00:07:12 I'm about to be cut twice in the same year see what like as an outsider looking at when I got there and I saw Rable going off on you every part of me was like oh this is a funny joke by Brable not did the set last about five minutes too long?
Starting point is 00:07:27 Yeah yeah but it's like timing raps right just got a bit of timing great head coach stand-up comedian he's up and down Yeah. He's up and down, but he loves this,
Starting point is 00:07:36 he loves his half an hour team meetings. And I can't fucking wait for this being OTAs. I can't wait for this part. He's going to show the shit, but are you at Taylor? You got it. You got to be easy on it. It's not like we got to find out if it's broken.
Starting point is 00:07:52 I got you, but I heard it. Did you hear it? I heard it, but I'm just saying like, hey, be easy on it. Like, act like you've been there. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:07:58 I could be a country star if I wanted to. It's fucking. You were saying he's going to bring this up in OTA. Yeah, no, that was it. He'll bring it up and he'll, he'll joke on me and I'll sit there and be embarrassed. My face will get all red.
Starting point is 00:08:09 And then he said they're smiling. I'll be smiling. I'll be just be thinking I'm going to be the biggest fucking country star ever. It doesn't matter. Go ahead and get your jokes in now. So Taylor, Taylor thinks he can be a country music star before the pod got going. Taylor was singing for the boys.
Starting point is 00:08:23 It was a great time. You'll see it on this week's under the hood. But apparently he thinks he's going straight to the top. He's going platinum. Can't go platinum in country music. But yes, I, statistically it's very rare.
Starting point is 00:08:37 No, no, you actually can't. I don't think country music allows you to go platinum. I think I've learned that. Now, once again, I want to triple down on what I've said about Kitmore. I don't, so disrespect to him. I just could do it. You just feel like you got that. You can't play music.
Starting point is 00:08:52 I can't play summer guitar, but I got earnest for that. Can't write music, but I got earnest for that. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So if I can just get on stage and fucking do the song with a couple of tweakins, I just feel like sky's the limit. You know what I'm saying? would have a good stage presence. I'm a, I'm a great front.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Yeah, I'm a great friend. Like, if you're in the WWE, they judge like being on the mic, a skill. What do they call it? Like they say, his mic skills, what do they say? Ring skills or whatever it is. Like, yeah. You'd be top notch. Cool. Is that the official phrasing? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:24 I'm just doing my best to compliment you. I feel like you got a great, great presence in front of crowds. You're the talent. You need the workhorse behind the scenes to set everything else for it. To make me look better than I am. And I think that's earnest. Sure. I would, oh, also, I'm going on Ernest's podcast tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Is it JBE just being earnest? Just being Ernest? I'll be on there tomorrow at 4. But when does he come out? He comes out weekly every Monday. So you'll be hearing this on Wednesday. Just get excited. You're going to hear the boy on Monday on JBE.
Starting point is 00:09:52 That'll be exciting for us. Would you like you and Dennis to switch spots and we can just interview you? I am taking it a little too much. I am doing that little bit. No, you got to plug Ernest, dude. I'm fucking laugh at just been here. No, for sure. Taylor was just like looking at him.
Starting point is 00:10:07 He was just like going in his head. Yeah, I have been a little bit about me, haven't I? I have been a little bit about me since I've gotten here. So I woke up this morning. My knee was feeling great. Had a great workout. You're in a good mood. I'm in a great mood.
Starting point is 00:10:19 You know, I was pissed off last night, but you know why. Why? What do you think? Because I remember what you said from a car wreck last night. Dude. Sometimes I need to be reminded. Yeah, yeah. So.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Let's backtrack a week. The boys, Dennis is on here for a big reason because we play Rocket League. We play Risk. We play his dumb ass. You're on here for more reasons. That's the only reason Dennis is on. The only reason why Dennis is on is because he hangs out with us once in a while via virtually. Virtual.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Yeah. And I was not playing hot in Rocket League. Usually I play pretty base. And my friend from Arizona came back from Arizona to me into Nashville. So I'm like, I'm a buddy's here. Well, Will starts throwing a little shade at the boy. He starts hurting my feelings. a little bit.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Talking about how father time, everyone catches up by the time. It's a young man's game. Yeah. It's a young man game. My thumb slowed down. So I,
Starting point is 00:11:12 that happened Tuesday last week. And I've been thinking about it since Tuesday last week. It's Monday. Yeah. The next week. Last night we played and I fucking went off. And I was talking shit to you and you pissed me off.
Starting point is 00:11:26 And I got to let all that steam out. You did. You were going on. Today my soul feels great. Yeah. Because you got a lot on your chest. Yeah. I saged myself.
Starting point is 00:11:33 You went so hard. You, You took a weird shot at Corey. No, Corey got butt hurt about me calling him a cupcake. That's what I'm saying. You're like, hey, Corey, you're built like a cup. You look like a cupcake. You look like a muffin.
Starting point is 00:11:47 You're surprised he's upset about that? Why would he be mad about that? Like, it wasn't like... He got so mad that it was... I almost had to get off. I was so uncomfortable. Really? You could tell he was hot because of the shots he was taking.
Starting point is 00:12:01 He goes, that'd be dope if I looked like that. And I'm thinking, oh, I mean, no. You're just saying whatever's coming to your mind to feel like you're not you're not bothered by it. He's trying to filibuster me.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Like he's trying to talk so much that the thing kind of just went away. No, I would love if I looked like shit. And then he said, Gordon got a cupcake vibe to him and it's not an insult. And then he started calling me to him. But it came out of nowhere.
Starting point is 00:12:24 That's where I feel like it was a weird show. I was after everybody, dude. I was fucking everyone. You're on me and he's like, you're going hard of will. And I think, I don't know, something was sad. And then you're like,
Starting point is 00:12:31 dude, you look like a cupcake. Yeah. I was murder. Hey, sitting there playing. Hey, like the kid at the fast food where he's just kind of like,
Starting point is 00:12:39 yeah, right. Like the black kid and the fucking ginger hair kid like backing up. Jesus Christ. Yeah. And then he comes with that.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I was going off on that. And then his best clapback was calling you a pencil. Which was terrible. And I had to think about that. At first I said, oh, he's talking about the way he's built.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Yeah. Yeah. And I was just like, he's hurt. He's damaged. He's damaged. All my writing sales are trash. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:02 But I'll tell you what pencils. are they write checks. So call me fucking ass down, Corey. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, they can write checks. If you go with him with a pen after.
Starting point is 00:13:11 You was like, oh, Corey, Corey shook. Corey was shook a little bit last night. I'll tell you who shook right now is me. Why? My pencil comment, but write the checks.
Starting point is 00:13:17 I got four guys in the back going on. That ain't it, though. That ain't it, Taylor. People are thinking, God, this motherfucker writes checks with a pencil.
Starting point is 00:13:24 He's not a money, dick. And me and Dennis are just going with like, yeah, you fucking. You can't. You cast checks, dude.
Starting point is 00:13:32 That's a fucking dick. It's a fucking duster. person in the bag, like, these dumb fucking athletes, bro. I'm injecting pencils up there. You know, it doesn't matter. I'm going to make so much money being a country music star as a fucking matter. Okay. Well, Dennis, well, the fucking podcast.
Starting point is 00:13:47 We're 60 minutes in. You've said four words. Let's hear a little bit about you. Oh, sure. 1-95, 6-4 blowing dudes at sophomore year of high school. Yeah. Hey, listen, that's what he said. And then you fucking get, what did you get a scholarship about?
Starting point is 00:14:01 Were you a late bloomer? early bloomer? Super late. Super late. Yeah. So like because I was playing basketball and football, like I was kind of getting recruited for both. And like, supposedly they were saying like, well, we're not sure if he's going to pick football.
Starting point is 00:14:14 We're not sure he's going to pick basketball. Like they were trying to play the game with me a little bit there. Yeah. So I didn't get an offer until like a month before senior year football started. And at that point, like recruiting really started to pick up football wise. But it was one of those things where I was a tight end. I was tall as lanky. my shoulders weren't as broad as they are now.
Starting point is 00:14:34 So like, well, yeah. But you're not really fast enough to be a tight end. Right. Let's be clear here. But like, are you going to get big enough? That's a good picture. But so like the big 10 schools were talking to me, but not really interested. Click on that photo.
Starting point is 00:14:52 The Mac schools started to draw some interest, but they weren't moving. And then so like, and then like my brother was just done with Eastern Illinois. And they're one double A. And they're like, we'd love to have you, but you're not going to come here. They knew. So they wouldn't offer any. So I had nothing. We're just in like, what the fuck is going on here?
Starting point is 00:15:08 Yeah. Am I really just? Just call Eastern Illinois back back. Like, could you just start it? Just give me one, please. Yeah. Yeah. So you've always looked like that.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Yeah, no. Hey, what the fuck? I'm talking about cupcakes is a weird thing. That's fucking hardcore. When I received my painting, I was blown away at how much. hell well, paint your life did. My mother loved it. She had an amazing, she had a phenomenal Christmas gift.
Starting point is 00:15:37 All you have to do is go to paintyourlife.com. There's no risk. If you don't love the final painting, your money is refunded, guaranteed. And right now, as a limited time offer from the boys, you get 20% off your painting. That's right, 20% off and free shipping. To get this special offer, text the word boys, B-O-Y-S to 64,000. that's boys to number 64,000. Text boys to 64,000.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Paint your life. Celebrate the moments that matter most. But like dribbling, I was, yeah. Did you play now? Did you ever go play a racket at Purdue? Oh, yeah. Dominique? I broke it back for it.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Really? Fucking right. Were you the best player on like the football team? You know how everybody in football thinks like to go to the NBA? Everyone. So you know everyone does. One thing they're really good at basketball. Was Kwan short.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Oh, really? Yeah. So he, his high school team won state in Indiana. And he had, um, Etuan Moore, a bunch of like really great college basketball players. Like a couple of the Purdue guys. But he was just as good as,
Starting point is 00:16:47 as a lot of them. Obviously, you know, his body, like he's tall and he's rounder, but like he can move like he, he was really good. We had some guys like that at Michigan too
Starting point is 00:16:55 that would go play a wreck and you, they, on the football field, you'd be like, this guy can't move and you put him on the basketball court. And then all of a sudden, You're like, yeah, just do that.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Right. What are you doing? Do that, but on the football field. Yeah, but do that shit. You're getting fucking wiggled to shit. I can't play basketball to save my life. Kwan's short. Is he still at with Carolina?
Starting point is 00:17:11 He goes to- Yeah, I think so. I didn't, because him and Star were dominant for a while. You go play, you play Carolina. Mm-hmm. He was too in the middle and tough.
Starting point is 00:17:19 And obviously at Purdue, he was a stud too. You guys had a lot of talent there when, when you, well, I guess you're a year old. Yeah, but let's, you know. That's Purdue. Yeah. Right. It's like Nebraska.
Starting point is 00:17:29 I do want, I do know, let's not disrespect Nebraska like that. Okay. Just so Michigan can't really talk. Yeah. What is Michigan talking about? Yeah. You all just rehired. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:38 You re-signed him. Yeah. You guys, but look at you guys. You looked at his work and you're like, oh, this is what Michigan's about. Let's reward that. Let's re-up him. Yeah. No.
Starting point is 00:17:49 But listen. Yep. You guys care. I play for the Tennessee Titans. Oh, don't. Don't. Don't. Don't.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Don't. Don't. Don't. insurance policy. Cut me and I go somewhere else. I play for them. Don't pull an insurance policy. That's how it fucking works with me.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Dude, you guys both know that. No, nope. To me that's just an interest policy. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:18:10 What I'm saying is, yeah, is that like when you're talking about bouncing ball. Yeah. Like when Michigan's killing it, yo, you're wearing the letterman jacket.
Starting point is 00:18:16 He came out. I don't have a letterman jacket. He came out and said, it goes Tom Brady, me and then everyone else without thinking, without thinking of Charles Woodson, dude. I know,
Starting point is 00:18:26 I saw that. I didn't have a conversation with you, young man. God, you're a stud. Obviously, Woodson,
Starting point is 00:18:32 you're a stud. Also, come on with some with the boys. We'd love to have you on. Yeah. That'd be awesome. He's a stud,
Starting point is 00:18:36 dude. Dude, he is an animal. Yeah. Hey, I got a cool story about it. It was the first time I came back to Michiganers in the summertime.
Starting point is 00:18:43 I had a court. I had court to go to you. I had court. I had court in like, Woodson and I think Hutchinson and, and Long had like this charity event. Mm-hmm. And I was,
Starting point is 00:18:58 on state sheet with my boys was like the main road there and that we're getting after it. Like it's summertime we are getting the fuck after it. Like we have many pools. I'm sitting that pool and I'm peed in that thing about 16 times and I drink about 17 beers. Yeah. Well, Woodson pulls up. He sees me and he pulls up and I'm with all my college boys. And Winston's like, well, come here. And I'm like, holy fuck. Yeah. Right. So it's no doubt. Yeah. That's cool shit. He came up,
Starting point is 00:19:22 that me up and he's like, hey, I'm going to think. I'm going to be there. Like, you know, now Mr. Cool guy. Right? Like, I'll be there. Yeah. I showed up to that damn thing so drunk Like, hey, there was about halfway through Jake Long's wife's like, hey, it's probably time to go home. Got my eyes fucking thrown out of there, dude.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Oh, man. Man, but yeah, court went well, though, too. So, you know, that is a good deal. It seemed like you celebrated afterwards. Oh, no, let's get a hammered, dude. Yeah, that was tight. But yeah, Purdue, not being before we got into it, with all due respect.
Starting point is 00:19:55 You know, not trying to, I'm sure to come up is disrespectful, but what is it like playing, playing, you know, college football. And not, yeah, knowing you're going to lose, like, not being good. They probably, you guys probably didn't think you were going to lose. Come on now.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Hey, I've had conversations with Ryan Kerrigan and who you went to school with. And he's like, yeah, I mean, you're, the culture, like, you know you're going to lose, so you're already talking about what parties, like, you're just, you're just getting hammered a little time. It's going to go great for produce recruiting process right now. Well, at the time, well, at this point,
Starting point is 00:20:27 three coaches away from that point now. So, like, it's a different program. But when I was there, like teams like Ohio State, we weren't going to beat. Yeah. And then we ended up beating them twice. Neither were we. And then so like... You had a couple games you won that you weren't supposed to win.
Starting point is 00:20:43 We won games that we weren't supposed to. Always be Michigan. I had a winning record against Ohio State. But then would lose to Rice, would lose to Northern Illinois. We would lose to Illinois. Like, we're just, we just were so inconsistent. And it really was frustrating as hell because you're like
Starting point is 00:21:00 why can we beat this team who is potentially a national champion contender right you think they just slept on you though like yeah I mean they for sure did and like like not as much your inconsistency as it is they slept on you well like so like when we beat ohio state the one year caregan bawled out right they had like three sacks strip sacks like two recovered two of them like terrell prior didn't play very well like everything fell our way
Starting point is 00:21:24 I remember it's real prior. Dude, yeah, he was a beast, dude. He had the tattoo. I remember coming out of high school, too, five-star number one player in the- He was a big-ass dude. Yeah, yeah. I mean, that always happened to you guys,
Starting point is 00:21:37 but like, obviously, Michigan, we thought we were going to win every game. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It was like the opposite. Yeah. We thought we were going to win all them things and we never really won at all.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Purdue, docketess. When you brought up Illinois, I forgot Illinois was even in the fucking Bayton, dude. You know what I talking about? Like, you go to champagne? There's somebody in Shampaign. champagne right now.
Starting point is 00:21:55 I'm done. I'm done with us. I'm done with us. But I'm telling you, dude, you go to champagne and I remember the first time I was going there was my rich refreshment year and they're like, hey, when you get down there, it smells like shit down there. And I was like, yeah, sure, whatever.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Like, yeah, these are guys are just trying to say whatever. It smells like shit down there. It smells like cow shit everywhere. And you go play a football game the whole time. We're like, is that fertilizer? Like, what is that? Yeah, what does that smell? Yeah, it's hot dogs and fucking poop.
Starting point is 00:22:20 And then you leave and you're like, people live there? Yeah. That's fucking insane. People go, I like champagne. Champagne sounds nice. Let's have some champagne, dude. Were they your rival?
Starting point is 00:22:33 Was Illinois? We have a trophy with them. I use the big rival. And then Notre Dame are like our three trophy games. I think Notre Dame's rivals with everybody. Yeah. I think you're just claiming Notre Dame. Well, no, like Notre Dame has a rival with Michigan.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Yeah. USC. There's always Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Ohio State. Yeah, they're U.S. C, Miami, Purdue, apparently. Yeah, apparently Purdue. Throw the boiler makers in there.
Starting point is 00:23:00 The big game is Minals, I think the Seminoles can then have a little bit of tip. What did you say? Like, our robbery is bigger than Notre Dame and Miami. Like, their game, the, what was it, the Catholic's first criminals or whatever,
Starting point is 00:23:12 the 30 for 30 was? Yeah. Like, that game obviously was much bigger than any Purdue Notre Dame game. But the whole series. Like, we've played up, because they're an hour away from our town or hour 15 or whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:23 South Bend and West Lafayette. I love it, like town versus town. It's not like city versus city. Yeah. Do you know you can get thrown out of Notre Dame if you have sex? You get caught having sex? Really? Yeah, apparently that's a thing.
Starting point is 00:23:33 If you go to Notre Dame. Are you sure? That is a crazy. I know that's true. Because they're Mormons, but I never heard that about it. Oh, we respect the Mormon. Let's take it easy, Dennis. Dennis Kelly said that, not Taylor-Lawand, not Will Compton.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Dennis Kelly said that. He does not represent the thoughts of, in beliefs of us with the boys. Yeah. But Jack Mormons, though, get crazy. You heard of Jack Mormons? Jack? Jack Mormons. Oh, no, no.
Starting point is 00:23:58 It's like a phrase to use. Clearly not. I thought you were saying Jack is Mormon. You're like no Jack Mormons. God damn. Like there's a phrase they call Mormons is called Jack Mormons. It's like they're Mormons, but they're like not really Mormons. Like they party fucking hard and get.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Like Luke or Mormons. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Does it say that? Yeah, it says. Subject to referral. It says it's basically up to a board. But yeah, you can be, you can be kicked out. Oh, that's tough.
Starting point is 00:24:21 So you can be. So it's not like a depth. If you get caught, have and stuff. consequently students who engage in sexual union outside of marriage may be subject to referral to the university conduct process. Yeah. That's a weird deal. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:36 That's a random staty you threw that. I mean, we all learn from the day. Why do you know that? I don't know, but we all learned today. I know that much. I think Manteo told me that.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Really? Straight up. I saw Mantao like the week before his girlfriend thing came out. We were in the All-American game together. And then I saw him out like the, well, wait for this. I saw him at the Walter. it was like some all-American thing college
Starting point is 00:24:57 no no what is it called the award ceremony the award ceremony that's like for all the college awards yeah for all-American what is that I don't know it's like Walter Camp all-American sure yeah yeah you're at a banquet dressed to the dress of the nine you saw made that tell hey we're all going to them
Starting point is 00:25:13 yeah you're like hey we're all going to the first round I was there with that so I saw him there and it was like a week before his shit came out with what's her name and he was he and I were talking for a little bit and he brought that up to me and he didn't act like that shit was going down at all, like with his girlfriend. That wasn't really his girlfriend. It was a dude, right?
Starting point is 00:25:29 No. Oh, it was just an invisible person, right? No, I, well, obviously she had to, he had to talk to somebody. It was a dude. Yeah, it was a dude. Yeah, dude. I'm playing down some heat today. I'm laying down, like, the knowledge brain series.
Starting point is 00:25:41 We don't have the privilege of going to these, you know, high level, all-American type banquets. Yeah, I'm at the NFL. It was been to the proble. He was a guest of mine there. We had a great time. It was a fucking great time. I don't regret it at all. Last year, Torres ACL this year.
Starting point is 00:25:59 We're fucking down now. My last two years has been shit. I was thinking about it. I was in the NFL PA game. That's the third tier game. Is it really? It goes that than East West, right? No, it goes the Under Armour All-American game, East West Shrine Bowl.
Starting point is 00:26:11 And then NFLPA. Oh, no, I'm thinking college. What's the Under Armour All-American game? What is in college? That's the Reese's game. Yeah. The Senior Bowl. Oh, Senior Bowl.
Starting point is 00:26:22 My bad. Yeah. That's what I'm saying I haven't been there You know what I mean? It's all good Dennis which one did you do What I went to the casino
Starting point is 00:26:28 Del Sol Bowl Oh hey I remember hearing about that Arizona Oh no way Yeah Sounds like a blast It was like 80% Arizona schools
Starting point is 00:26:37 Really And so it's just a U of A NASU in northern Northern Arizona I want to say it went The Reese's Senior Bowl East West East West game right
Starting point is 00:26:47 Yeah East West game And then NFLPA And then like Texas versus the nation Yeah And then fucking Casa del soul, dude.
Starting point is 00:26:55 What is it Corona del Sol? What is it called? Casino del Sol. Coronavirus del Sol, dude. Look at that. Monday Night Casino del Sol style. Do you stuff the jersey from that game? Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:08 That's epic. It's in my house and indie. And you've made it eight years in the league. Yeah, nine. They've told you, hey. Is this your ninth year? This was my ninth year. How many years have I played?
Starting point is 00:27:17 No, I thought you're one. I think you're seven. I didn't red shirt. So I'm a year age-wise older than you. But I didn't red shirt. either. But he only finished year seven. I finish year eight. I finish year nine. So you're seven eight. Youngest cat here.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Old fucks. How old are you? Just turned 31. Just turned 31. I turn 31 too. Yeah. I'm a red shirt old guy. I'm like five years of college. Yeah. Oh, that was me too. It's disgusting. Any kid out there listening to us right now, if you can leave early, do it. All right. If you know you're getting drafted. If you know you're getting drafted. Yeah, if you know you're going to get drafted, five rounds up.
Starting point is 00:27:57 If you can get drafted in the fifth round, go. I really think, like, there ain't no loyalty anywhere. That school doesn't care about you. They're great. It's awesome. Leave. Just get out if you can't because that's more trend in the tires. I would agree that if you can get to the league earlier,
Starting point is 00:28:11 other than later, it is the best course of action. The school's going to be there when you're done playing, too. I don't know what that means. You could get your degree while you're still playing. Yeah, but if you ball, if you ball, If you ball out, you don't need a degree. Right. Did you get a degree?
Starting point is 00:28:25 Yeah, I did. Oh, good. Good for you. Yeah. So why you should. What are you bummed about? I didn't, I didn't want to be the guy who goes five years, doesn't get a degree and you just play in the league.
Starting point is 00:28:33 My fifth year. My fifth year, dude, I was ripping a, I had like one class. It was like one credit. Yeah. It was awesome. Yeah. Dude, I went. I went to class on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the rest were online.
Starting point is 00:28:47 It was fucking amazing. We didn't have any online classes, dude. It was, one of my classes. classes was bowling and the other was a coaching track yeah it was the best track it was the class was called coaching track isn't that something I hey I know because I graduated early so I got to just take credits just to be eligible that's so if you graduate early you don't have to get a master's you can choose to go your master's but I thought I opted out I opted out of a master's degree
Starting point is 00:29:17 I thought I think a mission you have to I never heard of someone who graduated early not doing the fucking, what's it called? Going towards the Masters? Yeah, really? I don't think. I never heard it. I could be totally wrong right now. And I also, we never had the online classes either.
Starting point is 00:29:32 Really? That would have been awesome, dude. Oh, bro. Yeah, so the online classes were so dope. The biscuit, the biscuit wrote a lot of my papers. Do you really? I would trade Brad, Brad LeBrot. I would trade him cases of Gatorade shakes to write my papers.
Starting point is 00:29:48 You're lying. I swear to God. You know, that's funny as fuck. My grandmother wrote, I had like an independent study with some dude. His name was something, Professor Potter. The guy talked like this. Like I'm talking right now. But you meet him.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Hey, but hello, Taylor. How are you, that you're doing all right. And you're like, this is a fake English accent. That's where you get the Jerry. That's where it stems. No, Jerry is from Camden Town. I understand. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Do you want me to go over that? No, no. No, no. No, please. Stay. Stay the course. David Potter. Yeah, like a pull his face up, dude.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Oh, that's his face right there. Yeah, that's him. 100% him great guy had a bubbly personality but you'd walk out of the meeting and be like god damn do he just really think I bought that the whole time
Starting point is 00:30:29 anyway you'd do independent study with him and for like three credits it was like 35 page paper like something crazy but it was over the whole thing my grandmother wrote that thing for me 35 pages bro on that bitch yes
Starting point is 00:30:41 thank God yeah right well it was a king of the 2.0 that's the 2.0 he just would be like hey if you just write this if you just change one two or three things you'll go from
Starting point is 00:30:50 a C to a B. I'd just be like, done. We're good here. No. He said, 2.0. We're fine with the C. Yeah, 100%. There was only one thing.
Starting point is 00:31:00 I was going to the NFL. What were you? Are you an academic all-American? No. I was academic all-comference. Same. What does that mean? Academic-coference.
Starting point is 00:31:09 If you're over 3.0 while playing for the Big Ten. But I did not go to class. Ever. Really? Really. Did they didn't check your classes? They did.
Starting point is 00:31:20 So like early on. Purdue don't give you shit like that. Because Bo Polini would fucking go six and six this year. So like it would so like early on they do it right. And then like kind of they figure out who they can give a little bit of leash to and who they can't. So some people they had like had to walk to class.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Right. You've always heard about that like where guys had to have their handheld walked in class, wait for them and all that. And then other guys who are killing it like Kerrigan was really smart. Where they don't check on you as much. You do whatever you want. Right. But so my biggest challenge was
Starting point is 00:31:50 and my major attendance was huge. Like would drop your letter grade if you had like two unexcused, right? So you find someone to sign the sign-in sheet. And so you just mix it up every once in a while and it worked out. I did all the work and all the work was fine. I respect it.
Starting point is 00:32:06 At least you got your shit done and you, what was your GPA? You had a good, you got an academic all conference. So I got that for two years. The last year I didn't. Finished with, it was bad because the last, semester.
Starting point is 00:32:21 So the year I got drafted, the spring I got drafted, I had to take 18 to try and graduate in four. And because I didn't do the combine, I went on like nine or ten visits to teams to do all the doctors. You weren't invited to the combine? No. And so, I mean, Casino del Sol Bowl, man. Yeah, hey, shout at the non-combining by these, dude.
Starting point is 00:32:42 But, uh, yeah. Wait, what did you do the, what was the thing to shout out the what? Shout out the non-combine. And you tried to draft these. invitees. Were you drafted? I was drafted. Shout out drafted, guys.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Boom. But anyways. So I missed the bunch of guys. No. Shout out non-drafted in the first round, guys. Okay. Shout out non-drafted in the first round, guys. This is fun.
Starting point is 00:33:04 This is making me feel great. This is bumped every time. Hey, shout out, host a bus with the boys. We're going to have a collage. Hey, they're not scrawny. They're not. All right. We're going to have a collage of like just missed dafts.
Starting point is 00:33:22 where you just set me up every time. God, sorry. So that's, what was your GPA? Like, what was your ending GPA? It was a little over two because you were trying.
Starting point is 00:33:32 He was buying an insurance policy talking about all the visits. Like, he had to try and graduate. I had to do 18 hours. What was the fucking GPA? It was over two. But I don't remember exactly because I missed so many classes. I failed like three classes that semester.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Because you were in a league. Well, know because I was going to job interviews essentially, but they didn't count it as a job interview. Like I told, I'm like, hey, listen, I got to go to Philly. I got to go to Arizona. I'm going to Tampa. Like, I'm going to be gone. And again, when you have attendance
Starting point is 00:34:03 based on your grade or your grades based on attendance, like they just docked me. They didn't care. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So to the point, so I got drafted and I took a final that next weekend, right? Or that next week. And so I finished my final. And this was one of the classes. I was like, am I going to get screwed
Starting point is 00:34:19 here? Like, what, like, wasn't really sure. I hand in the final. He goes, hey, man, congratulations. Like, really, like, really happy for you. Turns out grades come out the next week. Fucking F. I'm like, what the fuck, man. Really? On your way out. You knew what I was doing. Like, it wasn't like I was...
Starting point is 00:34:34 Fuck that guy, dude. He just smiled in your face and spit in the back. I mean, I probably kind of deserved it. That's a weird phrase. I like the... Smiled in your face and spit in the back. Hey, I was riding with the dell's a hell yeah, dude. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Keep talking so it goes away. Keep talking so my feelings go away. But it's probably Carwell because of... missing the classes and getting the he compliment you and shits in your hand yeah there it is so I had to like the first couple years in the league I had to like make I had to take courses
Starting point is 00:35:04 to finish up and then you and I had a much different situation going into the draft yeah that's crazy well yeah I mean well no like it sounds different yeah I wouldn't think about school at all yeah oh my guys so yeah some of it has to think about that shit because we might not have the actual
Starting point is 00:35:22 future of the NFL right yeah That's a good way to not have the future. You can't have a plan B. Oh, no. Burn the bridges. Burn the fucking boats, right? I do. I do enjoy that phrase for sure.
Starting point is 00:35:32 You like the phrase that you don't want to live it. No, no, because you're tying it in that don't have a plan B and then you're like burn the fucking boats, right? That's going to get me hyped up, but I'm not sold on the, don't have a plan B because it deteriorates from plan A. I'm a big, you know. Hegs and a lot of baskets guy? Yeah, different baskets.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Like the hedge is best. Yeah. Yeah. There we go. Thank you, Dennis. Sure. Sure. If this was just me and Taylor on the pot,
Starting point is 00:35:53 we would have been trying to figure out what words you used on. Five minutes would have gone by. We've lost a lot of years. We're glad. We're glad you figured that out. Well, fuck, it seemed like it all worked out. One thing that didn't work out, but you had a hell of game in was AFC championship last year.
Starting point is 00:36:07 How about that for a transition? I was going to say, we just skipped the entire career. Well, I mean, fuck. When did you get drafted? Not a fifth round? Where'd you go? Eagles? How long were you there?
Starting point is 00:36:16 Four years. And then he came of the Titans. I got traded here. And now we're here. Yeah. Now I'm here. Hey, you know what DGB is? Yeah, Green Beckham or whatever.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Yeah. The wide receiver that was supposed to be insane. I would have traded myself for him. Absolutely. For that talent, that's definitely what it should have could have got. He's out of the league now. Yeah. So whoops on the Eagles, right?
Starting point is 00:36:38 Yeah, whoops on the Eagles, dude. We beat Dennis for the old NFC East Division title. That's a hell of a conference. Division. Division. Whatever. Whatever, dude. That was an awesome time.
Starting point is 00:36:51 It was the only other time I wanted the division Yeah But it was a great time Because that game was on It was on the line for the division Yeah Yeah
Starting point is 00:36:57 Whoever won that one won the division Yes That's bad And it was like on Christmas Like we flew back to Ashburn that night Yeah we flew to Philly We train
Starting point is 00:37:06 Really? Yeah What? Yeah Oh that's cool as shit Because they're all an hour apart Yeah Dallas
Starting point is 00:37:10 And we got back And it was just You couldn't move At our facility Like you had to drive Like two miles an hour Everybody's banging on your vehicle Because you just won
Starting point is 00:37:19 Right Dude it was so lit Yeah God, I mean, my only sack of my career was that game. Really? Yeah. I hit a dab, too. I think I've seen that video.
Starting point is 00:37:28 You probably have. It's a GIF. It's a GIF. You type it. Yeah. You're so proud of it. It's a gentleman's dab. That's what we've phrased it.
Starting point is 00:37:36 What's up? What's that look like? Do it. A gentleman's dab? Yeah. I had a little walk. You know, I have my little walk. I stuck my hand out.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Bring it in. Dab. And then the next week, I, I, uh, built on it because I had a pick against Dallas. then did a little dance with it and dabbed. You were to pick? Yeah. This was my first pick too. Oh shit.
Starting point is 00:37:57 And he took me out and had me rest in the second half. Yeah. You had it like that, huh? Dude, hey, I'm telling you, he came out to him and goes, who would have thought somebody like you'd be resting in the second half? And I just start laughing out of that. I appreciate that compliment. That was Jake Rudin.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Oh, man. He said that shit to you? Yeah. That's fucking awesome. Yeah. Then I came to the Titans. Yeah. And you guys both came in the Titans.
Starting point is 00:38:20 And that's how we all met. And then that's how the boys met. It was beautiful. Remember hearing the infancy of this, this whole idea and just thinking, there's no way he's going to fucking do this. Right. I thought the same thing. I thought this is fun to talk about.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Right. I had a whole year of all these great ideas and we're going to do this. We're going to do that. I'm like, this is great. You're going to do anything? And then Will just came in and like, like, no, no, it's all set up. I was like, Jesus Christ, man. This is like the perfect foil.
Starting point is 00:38:47 I got a lot of ideas for this off season. and I haven't really followed through on yet. Sure. Boys, you know what I'm talking about. We've got some good. We can't say them. Can't say them. They're good.
Starting point is 00:38:56 They're good ideas, though. One is a killer. A killer. I'll tell three are great ideas. Yeah, but I do believe that one. You know which one I'm talking about. I think that one fucking.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Yeah. I think that one is a heater, bro. Should we cut it and tell that's what it is real quick? You can say this is fun for me. Right. Just tell what it is. Yeah, we'll cut it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:13 We'll cut it. Right now. We're going to read an ad. Cut it here. Here, we're going to read that. All right, ladies and gentlemen, take a little break from Boston with the boys. We're going to talk about bare bottom clothing. Now, once again, we're not talking about B-A-R-E.
Starting point is 00:39:27 B-A-R-E, yeah, it's not that. It's B-E-A-R, bottom clothing. We're talking about versatility here. Everyday clothes that guys want to wear. Sorry, ladies, just for guys. Versatility, you're wearing them, you're cozy, you're comfy, and it's built for value. All right? You're getting comfortable, long-lasting shorts, pants.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Spandex, little feet, little joggers. You're feeling it out and you're feeling special about yourself. And they must be doing something right because they have 100,000 plus customers. Okay, that's a lot of people. That's a lot of people diving in and getting their stuff. And I'm going to help you out with a little touch. Because if you go and use the code busting, that's B-U-S-S-I-N, you go and get yourself, what is that? What do they get?
Starting point is 00:40:13 What do they get? Free shipping. Sometimes that's half the thing, right? Because you go and you get the stuff and you're like, okay, this is what I have. I can spend $120 on it. And then you buy $119 and stuff. You think, well, saved a dollar. And then you realize, I got to go to shipping now.
Starting point is 00:40:26 And it's three to five days. That takes forever. And it costs $37. And now you're mad and you're upset, bare body clothing. And they didn't do anything wrong. But now if you just use Busson, B-U-S-S-I-N as the code that the boys are going to help you out with, you're living. And it's easy.
Starting point is 00:40:46 All right? Don't be like Wilcompton. Don't be like Will Compton who rolls his jeans up because it's the new fat in town. He thinks he lives at East Nashville. Be bare bottom. Be set apart, dude. Just go to barebottomclothing.com. That's B-E-A-R.
Starting point is 00:41:02 And then you can spell clothing by yourself. You can figure that out. All right. It's like the animal. And use the code bust and you get free shipping. All right. I love to read all of this, but I just can't. I got some bare bottom stuff the other day.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Changed my life. I put them on. My boys downstairs said, happy here. Because it's not that big. So that's the voice. We're happy here. And that's how we went. Enjoy the rest of the show, folks.
Starting point is 00:41:25 And we're back after that ad read. That was a good ad. That was a solid ad. We're up to four. Oh, we have four this week. We're climbing back up. We're climbing back up. The boys are climbing back up.
Starting point is 00:41:36 God. Good honor. And those pencil checks are going to work out a lot better. Yeah. Hell, yeah. And things are going to hit a little bit better. Fuck the haters, dude. So back to what we were talking about before we ended up what we were talking about.
Starting point is 00:41:46 And then the one thing, but you said, let's just jump over Dennis's career. AFC championship game last year Chiefs versus Titans You had a touchdown in that game I did have a touchdown You don't have to pull it up Alex We all know what it was like Wonderful wonderful
Starting point is 00:41:58 Touchdown guy catches it He's on his knees Hands in the air The boy comes over Give him a big bear hug It was an awesome awesome thing Started great And a not so great right
Starting point is 00:42:07 Patrick Holmes does that thing Our defense forgot how to tackle that day Whatever tis what a tis Yeah And they ended up winning and winning a Super Bowl Now go backwards one week Okay. Will and I were going over who we think you know
Starting point is 00:42:21 win the AFC championship games. I think we both went bucks. Oh, so now we're up to, okay, that's what I was like, okay. Why would I bet be like, hey, I think the chiefs are going to beat you guys. They both went bucks, right? Yeah, I wanted the bucks and would have bet Packers. That's what I said.
Starting point is 00:42:37 So I was wrong. Okay. Wrong twice then, because you also said you were picking the bills. Yeah, true. And your boy picked chiefs. Now I'm willing to go to limb and Bill's Mafia. please this is I really don't want to go and do it with you guys again because I got to hurt me I just can't handle it that game didn't seem very competitive to me it seemed like from
Starting point is 00:42:56 the get go I mean they jumped off early but went up 10 nothing but yeah I mean it wasn't it wasn't it wasn't too it was to it was to the point where I got up and just stopped watching the game yeah I turned the game off from the halfway through the quarter yeah and it was kind of like it was I'll tell you what though the chiefs are getting hot like like the week before the week before you kind of like you know Patrick or Mahomes went down And he came in and they were they were still close you know what I mean You kind of didn't know what what chiefs was gonna show up right that's probably from having like two weeks off Yeah and then they came in yesterday they look like they look legit yeah they what's a with a woozy pat you know he won 100% yeah yeah get that
Starting point is 00:43:33 Get that nice got two he's got two weeks two weeks to get that little toe right I'm talking about his fucking I know but he also had like turf toe oh shit yeah I heard turf toe is a bitch dude I heard that shit's awful who you got this rule instinct goes with Mahomes and the Chiefs just because if they're rolling like you saw yesterday like it's hard to stop them man
Starting point is 00:43:53 like I don't care who you are like no lead safe that's so true you gotta be up at least like legit like no lead is safe right like that for real when they play when they played Houston Texans
Starting point is 00:44:05 the game before us last year yeah it was like 21 nothing dude I was watching that game and people I think we were in the group chat everyone was texting like we're playing Houston and in my head I'm like I don't think so Like you never know Sure enough, dude
Starting point is 00:44:16 Well, that shit just started snowballing But like when Mahomes The chiefs were playing so bad That first quarter and a half though Yeah So you're like well that this hasn't changed Like there's no reason to assume That they're coming back
Starting point is 00:44:27 Yeah Yeah And then when the chief score and they're down And Mahomes hits this Yeah When Mahones hits this You're like all right The boys are gonna start fucking rolling
Starting point is 00:44:36 Yeah I'm telling you that's like his move When you see that going on Yeah buckle the fuck up boys Some blood flow, is that? Yeah. Oh, it gets the blood flow down low.
Starting point is 00:44:47 It gets you hype. You know what I mean? When we were in the ASEC championship game last year, you were, how did you feel when you were watching? Were you kind of like hoping the Chiefs would beat us? Yeah, I mean, I wasn't hoping the Chiefs would beat you guys. I wasn't, but there was a mental battle like, damn, the boys are going to go to the Super Bowl and I'm not on the team.
Starting point is 00:45:02 Like the year after I'm off the team. You know what I mean? But I wanted you guys to win. Yeah, that's how I felt, I didn't feel that way on the AFC champion. Like, I wasn't on the team. So it's not like, yeah, I wasn't, I wasn't, I wasn't only, yeah, exactly. For me, it was like we'd have another, we'd get to throw another bangor watch party. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Yeah. You know what I mean? You're just excited. Yeah, but you're kind of like, yeah, you're kind of like, fuck, like these boys are about to go. Yeah. And I'm not on the team. Dude, if we went to that Super Bowl, I bet we win. I bet we would have won.
Starting point is 00:45:30 We would have beat the 49ers. That would have been a good fucking game. Hey, that would have been a good game. We both similarly built teams. Our defense was hot with peas. Yeah. They were crushing it. Our run game was legit.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Their running game was legit. Their defense was better than our defense, like statistically, right? Right. But we were like, dude, you guys were-stop us. And you guys were-stop us last year. True. You guys were 9 and 7 in the playoffs looking like you were like, you know, the best team of the league. One of the best teams in the league.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Right. Yeah. I feel like Will's got something to say. Yeah, go ahead. No, no, I mean, yeah, it sucks. You guys lost. But do you think we would have had a chance? Well, we obviously had a chance.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Yeah. Yeah, if you guys would have beat the Chiefs, there's no question that I would have thought in my mind, they're going to win the fucking Super Bowl. Imagine doing that, dude. Imagine winning that. And I would have been in Miami. Imagine how drunk we would have both been.
Starting point is 00:46:21 I would have been in Miami on your tickets. Hey, Bubbo hit me up for Super Bowl tickets. Yeah, he hit me up too. Did he really? Do you give him to him? No. Damn, that's crazy. No, I didn't have, I didn't even get him this year.
Starting point is 00:46:34 Yeah, I didn't get my tickets either. This might be the best fucking Super Bowl we've ever seen now. Like Tom Brady, the Goatee-Die's, of all goats. The goat versus the goat goat. This is, no. I'm not buying that. I'm not subscribing to that. Okay, that's fine. The fucking young future. Like a future goat-esque dude versus the goat of all goats.
Starting point is 00:46:53 Tom Brady is the goadiest of all goats over, Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan. I believe it. Messy, Rinalda, all of them. Yeah. Tom Brady. Tom Brady is the goat of all goats. Is the goat of sports. Yes. Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Dude, he's going to his 10th Super Bowl. out of 55 total. Dude, he has more of a chance. He has a better chance every year making the Super Bowl than Stefan Curry has making a three-pointer. You see that? Stefan. Stefan.
Starting point is 00:47:21 It's up for interpretation. How's he, how's your spell it? Steph Curry. S-T-E-P-H-A-N, right? I don't know. Stefan. Pull it up.
Starting point is 00:47:33 It isn't, what is going to be like, Siri? It's Stefan. Let's just say Steph Curry. Yeah, we're just called him. So, Steph Curry. They said, Steph Curry, in his all-time
Starting point is 00:47:40 three-pointing shooting, he has a 41% chance of making it, which is high, right? That's a high percentage. Oh, it's Stephen. What is it, Stephen? Stephen Curry. Stefan. Stefan.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Stephen Curry, right? Yeah, Stefan Curry. But anyway, he's the most pure shooter of all time, right? People are saying he's the best shooter of all time. Tom Brady is a better chance going to the Super Bowl than Steph has making a three-pointer. Right. I mean, taking those numbers, like,
Starting point is 00:48:10 Steph has shot thousands of threes. Yeah. Compared to, you know, Brady's how many years, 20 year playing career or something like that? But what's harder to make? It's a three point. It's one basket. One basket.
Starting point is 00:48:19 No, I know. I know. I'm with, guys, listen, I'm with that. I'm just saying like, I'm just saying, I don't know if Tom Brady played a thousands of years,
Starting point is 00:48:28 like the amount of shot Steph has made that he'd be going to the cerebral 40 something percent of the time. Yeah, because no one lives thousands of days. Yeah, I know. I know. I'm just,
Starting point is 00:48:36 what are you saying? I feel like we're taking, no, comparing apples to oranges. why can't fruit be compared it can be let's off don't call brain names dude
Starting point is 00:48:48 hey listen I'm with you Tom is the goal with me then just say okay you gotta have a little devil's advocate you know what I'm saying no that's the king of being devil's advocate but this is a stupid there's some people out there
Starting point is 00:48:59 he is the king devil's advocate dude he is the king of devil's advocate dude he is the king of devil's the best of all time but yeah Patrick Mahomes versus Tom Brady, it'll be an incredible Super Bowl. And Aaron Rogers versus Tom Brady was unreal. That game was so legit.
Starting point is 00:49:15 I saw an article that said, Rogers versus Brady, Chiefs versus fucking bills. Like they had to use the two teams in the NFC, but the NFC, that's how big the names were. Think of our last couple weeks, dude. We've seen, we've gotten to watch Tom Brady versus Drew Brees.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Yeah. Tom Brady versus Aaron Rogers. And now we're about to watch Tom Brady versus Patrick Mahomes. Right. You could argue this is Brady's most impressive run. Ever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Yeah. He switched teams. Switch teams. He could just switch teams. Yeah. Right. Because they weren't favorites to win. The Saints were favorites to win the division.
Starting point is 00:49:46 They did win the division. But then they got knocked out in the playoffs. They won when it mattered the most. And then you're seeing him versus Aaron Rogers, who was needing for his resume, that second Super Bowl. And they went to the NFC championship last year and blew it. And so what do you do? I mean, what do you do now if you're Aaron Rogers? It seems like he might not, there's a chance of him not being in the-
Starting point is 00:50:06 I think he's just fucking around. I think he's going to stay at the Packers for sure. be a little negotiating tactic? Negotiate what he's got four years left in his deal. Does he? I think it's three, but either way. Why would he act like he's not potentially not be back? Because I think he was really hurt by the situation.
Starting point is 00:50:20 He was really hurt that instead of drafting a wide receiver or something that help him or a deven's a player to help them. I think he was upset regardless of how he's locked in. Like he's a fucking one of those dudes that's blinders, right? Yeah, yeah. Like he doesn't. He let a roll off his shoulder. Some guys is my worst game is some guys is queerers games.
Starting point is 00:50:36 And he says that and you think yourself, he ain't, wrong. Yeah. Like, he's legit as fuck. But, like, you got to have your feelings if you're that good
Starting point is 00:50:42 of a quarterback and then you draft a kid already bringing your replacement. Already bringing your replacement with three years left in your deal. Oh, there's no doubt that that shit sucks.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I think what's going to happen there is, um, like, uh, who's buddy in San Francisco? Grooplo. Gropolo,
Starting point is 00:50:55 I think the Gropolo Brady situation. I think Garopolo or, uh, this love kid is going to get traded somewhere because something will happen. He'll play a game or something like that. He'll look good. They'll trade him for a second rounder or whatever the Patriots It's got a quarterback needy type of thing.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Yeah, we'll be quarterback needy and like, we don't want to waste a first round pick, but we'll take the kid for a third or fourth round pick. He'll go there and he's going to, then Aaron Rogers will stay there. I like that. I think that's going to be exactly what happens. I'm a fan of that take. Because Rogers can go in that conference, that media conference to be all upset, like kind of be stoic or whatever. All it is doing is adding more clicks. The guy is going to win an MVP this year.
Starting point is 00:51:33 We want to be Derek Henry, but the guy, like everyone, everyone's saying, it should be Derek Kennedy. But everyone's saying Rogers is. going to win it. Right. Because you've had the best. Derek Henry should win this MVP. I mean, it's debatable. It's not debatable. When you're the rushing leader of 1,500 yards and then the next year, you go for
Starting point is 00:51:48 2000. He's the only person in the world ever to rush for 2,000 yards in high school, 2,000 yards in college and 2,000 yards to the NFL. Back to back, back rushing leading guy by what? Over 600 yards? Yeah. Yeah, who was number two? It was like 1,500 yards, right?
Starting point is 00:52:04 Delvin. Delvin Cook at like 500, 600 yards less than him. Right. Yeah. It's not even close. But the problem with your argument is that it's like a career thing, which is all fantastic self. The MVP should be one seat.
Starting point is 00:52:15 Yeah, MVP is one year to time. So my point being is that like the one argument is that Derek ran for 2000 yard, eight player ever to do that in the league, right? Right. One had no pro bowler offensive lineman, no pro bowl with tight end, like no pro bowl fullback. So like in theory, he did it by himself. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Aaron Rogers and Mahomes both had great years. Taylor was there for five games. Sure. But I didn't make the Proble this year. Yeah, it makes Pro Bowl. I mean, yeah, but you're still a Pro Bowl-style player. Well, yeah, next year. When we get 2107, because that's the record.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Um, yeah, who knows? But he might have got the fucking season record. Right. If you're healthy out of year. Well, I like to think so. Me and my mind, I'm saying might have to be, you know, to be, but in my mind, he would have. He would have.
Starting point is 00:52:58 He would have. He would have. In the fourth quarter, like three games. Yeah. And yeah, we talked about this. Finish your thought. And then we can go back to it because this is good. The quarterbacks that are being discussed.
Starting point is 00:53:06 they've had great seasons, but they're, they're pretty normal now. Like, a lot of their stats are very impressive, but it's kind of the norm. The new standard. It's the new standard. Exactly. Like, none of them were doing anything historic. Whereas Derek did something historic that. You're talking about Derek's body work compared to the other running backs.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Well, I mean, he's the eighth player ever to do what he did. He's the first place in his Russian season. He was, what, one of how many to have like three, 200-yard games and three touchdowns? He's one of, like, three guys. He only won. Three, two, in your games, the rest of the NFL had one. He tied the record in one season for a career thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Holy shit. He should be the MVP. That's a, that's a nice argument. I'm buying that. Well, I can flip at any moment, dude. You know what? That's great. He does jump shit pretty fast.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I do the same thing. I'm all about fucking. I mean, you know what? I'm buying that shit, dude. He had a great year. I'm just saying if Aaron Rogers had the best year of his career, like thinking of all of Aaron Rogers's years that he've had, it's like that's obviously an incredible feet.
Starting point is 00:54:04 But think of all the weapons Aaron Rogers had. the offensive line that he had. He had two pro ball offense line. I think two all pro offense lineman. Probably. Also. Like he had, his whole old line was really good.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Had Devante Adams. Had Devante Adams. But he only had like, you know, he had Devante Adams. Then he had, he had what? Jones.
Starting point is 00:54:21 And he had a good run game to compliment the way to get through the ball. Yeah, but Lazan, it's not like Tonya was showing up everywhere. The, the Titan played awesome all year. You already brought that up,
Starting point is 00:54:30 but he had players. And then I don't even have to argue Mahomes. Mahomes is, but I've also feel like, player in the NFL. He's the best player in the NFL. But he has Tyree Kill. He's got Travis Kelsey. Yeah, he's got a sick cast. He's got. He's got Pro Bowl left tackle. He's got, he's got pro baller left tackle. He's got two running backs that are legit as fuck. Lvian on Bell
Starting point is 00:54:50 and then the kid they got from LSU. Yeah. Studs. But you could also argue that Aaron made those players that you're referring to as pro bowlers now that Aaron made those guys into that. Like Lazare, like nobody knew about him. Atonian, the tight in. He was an undrafted cat, I believe, and got a shot. got from practice squad this year and now he's amazing. You know what I'm saying? And his old lineman, he gets the ball out quick. He runs the offense.
Starting point is 00:55:11 Like, he might make the old lineman look a lot better than what they are. Aaron Rogers is great job scrambling. He does a great job getting the ball. He might make the offense align look a little bit better. But, I mean, you don't run rush for 2,000 yards and not have a, like, what Dennis said, not have a pro ball guy as your fullback, as any of your tight ends, as any of your offense alignment. Yeah, but you cannot sleep on the fucking blocking game, dude.
Starting point is 00:55:33 You can't sleep on you guys. Well, we're saying. I see what you're saying. For argument's sake, there's quote unquote nobody, and that's a very loose term. Right. Because we have a great office line, but you don't have a Devante Adams on that office line. You don't have that caliber. I feel what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:55:48 The people who are voting or deciding who the great players of the league are said that none of the people blocking for Derek were great enough to be rewarded with that, making it seem like Derek did most of the work. like his greatness superseded our suckiness for lack of a better time. Yeah. Derek. No, I see that. The dude's a legend. Like anybody who can have a true highlight tape of absolute dummies of stiff arms. Like he's a monster.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Not to mention his yards after contact, if you just measured his yards after contact, after someone touched him on the defense, his numbers, he would have still won the rushing title. Just with those numbers. So all those times, there was a big gaping hole and he ran it for 40, ran it for 60. Those are now gone. The time he got touched by another defensive player, after that, those yards, he would still have won the Russian title.
Starting point is 00:56:39 I don't know if that's fully true, but he would have been my top three for sure. Well, I said it, and I'm sticking to fucking. Either way, the conviction, the conviction, I'm jumping, I'm swimming to the other ship. You know what I'm saying? Not that I was on the other ship.
Starting point is 00:56:52 I'm just trying to not have a fully biased pro-titans podcast. You know what I'm saying? I'm not trying to be biased. Another comparison. So like two breeze, right? arguably greatest, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, right, Drew Breeze? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:06 Never won an MVP. Years that he's balled out and had great years. He's thrown, like, what, four picks or something. Right. Tom Brady-Pate, meaning. But then you have Mahomes throws for 50 touchdowns one year. And then you have Aaron Rogers go off one year. So, like, his great years that he should win an MVP, another player was doing something historic.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Right. Which is a very similar situation here. I got you. Derek getting 2,000, what, 24 yards? What was it? 127. 2027 is more impressive than all the other numbers on every other guy. And Aaron,
Starting point is 00:57:39 I think Aaron's a stud. I think he deserves a MVP. I think he's probably going to win it. But I think if you looked at Derek, like, who's the dude, Liddeen Thomasson? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:49 The one he won it. He had, he like won the rushing title for a second year in a row. Like, and that I think played into it. Perhaps. And you know what I'm saying? And it's just to be a one year thing,
Starting point is 00:57:59 but he's won two rushing titles. back to back, and it just gets better. Like, you think with Derek, like, if you're thinking from a business perspective, when you sign Derek to the contract, you signed him to, you think, okay, we got it for two to three years tops at him and his prime, but he showed zero, like, where at all. Like, he got better. Like, he always doesn't do. Yeah, he got better.
Starting point is 00:58:23 He got better. Like, always does in December. See, I think, you know, did Derek go back to the table again right now? He just got signed for a three-year deal. but could he go back to the table. I don't think you could right now because like what do you have zero? He's worth for 2,000 yards.
Starting point is 00:58:36 You don't think he can go to John and be like, hey, John, you need to bump that up a couple million dollars. No. You don't think you could do that? Because that's why you sign the contract. You can't hold out anymore. Yeah, you can't hold out anymore. So you can't.
Starting point is 00:58:48 He'd be hurting his pocket. He'd be hurt in his pockets. Like, he would just hurt his own money. Right. Yeah. And that wild, though? Yeah, that is wild. I mean, the thought that he could.
Starting point is 00:58:58 And the man and the dude, honestly, never miss his practice. Like you guys see guys they take like you know they take weeks off like they don't practice that much during the week Derek is somebody that's always out there. Literally always out there. And this year is where I kind of picked up on it and kind of I was kind of like why is he having the why is he practicing? Just based on talent and guys of that caliber I've seen in the past in my experience like they usually get time off. Like yeah, they took care of him a little bit toward the end of the year.
Starting point is 00:59:23 But he's out there and you never. It's not like he's always the best mood at the end of the year too. Yeah. He's such a great mood when he's put when when Derek. rushes for 48 yards, wherever he did against Cleveland, I knew, like, I'm sitting there watching the game going, I'm telling him, like,
Starting point is 00:59:37 Derek's going to be pissed all fucking week. He probably won't talk to anybody. Yeah. And what do you do that week? Yeah. He probably didn't talk to anybody, did he? Does that anyone? And he just fucking goes off for 200 in the next game or whatever he went for.
Starting point is 00:59:47 Right. It was like, oh, I'm 200 and seven yards away from getting 2000. And the thing that's so fucking crazy about that, dude. Let's go fucking get it. Dude, he needed a 223 going into the game. And the fucking wild thing is, is we're all sitting there going,
Starting point is 01:00:00 he could probably do it. Yeah. You know, that's fucking wild. Yeah. That's a great game. So many 223 yards to get a record. Everyone's like, yeah,
Starting point is 01:00:07 probably not. I mean, hey, he's made a great year. He's going to win the title. That's awesome. But we all went into that game. Y'all went into the game.
Starting point is 01:00:13 I was sitting there going to watch the game going, Derek could fucking do this. Yeah. And I'm calling Bobo between, like between plays like, I got 60 in the first quarter. Like we can, okay,
Starting point is 01:00:21 you keep at it. He needs this many more. It's like, it's wild. Yeah. That type of dude. Like, that game was crazy too.
Starting point is 01:00:28 Someone asked me the other day, is Derek, oh, I think Bobo asked me this. Is Derek a Hall of Famer? This episode of Bustle with the Boys is also brought to you by Roman. Starting point is 01:02:09 Yeah yes That's it goes like I have no and it doesn't matter Who is up yeah like Joe Thomas Right right right you're saying like he is Yeah he is the Hall of Fame Joe Thomas had the best career I think of any offense alignment ever Yeah I think it's like I don't know the floor of guys You know what I mean
Starting point is 01:02:25 Kind of barely get in the Hall of Fame those guys who barely get in the Hall of Fame and I don't even know if you can consider it barely but I'm just saying I don't know what like a floor looks like of getting into the Hall of Fame you know what I mean but yeah I mean I get if he if Derek does this few more years
Starting point is 01:02:40 he's obviously in the conversation a guy you would talk about in the office line world that's gonna make the Hall of Fame but maybe not the first round is Andrew Whitworth yeah like that's a dude and he said what four pool balls four or five you'd have to pull that up huge fan of Andrew Whitworth he's one of my son of
Starting point is 01:02:55 buddies Yeah. How about him making the comeback? Dude, I know, right? He's a legend, dude. I was texting with him about it. You talking about this year on his knee, right? He was saying, he was telling me, like, if we go to the playoffs, I'm going to play.
Starting point is 01:03:06 I'm thinking. What did he be here again? PCL MCL. Fuck. Isn't that wild? Yeah. Good for him, man. How many pro balls?
Starting point is 01:03:15 He has four pro. Yeah, two times all pro. Yeah, he'll be the pro bowl. But, like, that's, that's a guy. I'm sorry, yeah, that guy will be a hallfamer. You got to think. Now, if you go. Now, if you go to Joe Thomas, you don't need to.
Starting point is 01:03:26 I know him. 10 years, 10 probles. Like, yeah, that's... It's not even fucking close. That's incredible. And what, six all pros? Some shit like that. I don't know that number.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Right. But six is like, it's like, he was a hall of famer by year seven. Yeah. And that wild. That is wild. And then you get to play with him. Like on the team, if you're a brown. Like, oh, he's a hall of famer like right now.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Yeah. Yeah. They had a street forever. 10 times six. Dude, I, you talked about. it um and i want to go i want to go back to the first in 2018 you talked about it when we were doing the quarantined and with the boys take us through take everybody through your story whenever you had whatever the fuck it was yeah with my brain yeah yeah with your brain because explain the context
Starting point is 01:04:09 you were out like suddenly you just weren't showing up to work to work right and no one knew what was wrong with you yeah this was in 2018 2018 2018 right after the first week the miami game because you were starting you were like playing starting because jack was still recovering and we played the marathon game in Miami and start the next week we're getting ready to play Houston. I'm like, okay, finally to go against JJ, like, let's lock it down. Let's be ready. Practice Wednesday and then start driving home and are driving to my, my oldest daughter's dance class and my arm kind of gets a little numb. I felt like I was like maybe like sitting on my wallet weird and like was hitting the nerve. I was like, okay, well, maybe I'm just doing something weird.
Starting point is 01:04:54 get out. The numbness kind of goes away. I walk into the building for the dance class. And at that point, like, I had no strength. So, like, my wife gives me, Ila at that time. And, like, I'm holding her. And, like, instantly, it's like, I can't hold her. Like, you got to take her back. Because, like, she's falling, essentially. So I hand her back. She's like, what the fuck's is going on with you? I have no idea, but I have nothing in my arm right now. And then, like, two months later, that started getting better. But then it went into, like, my mouth. And I feel like, I was like, my mouth's dumb. Like, I don't know. Like, we probably should go. So it worked out where we get Eden.
Starting point is 01:05:27 We go to the car and I start like strapping them up and or strapping her up, excuse me. And we're talking to my wife and she's kind of starting to panic because like that's not normal. Right. And like we're talking and she's like, what are you saying? What are you talking? She's like, you're not making any sense. And I'm like, what are we doing? I said in my mind, I'm like, we're trying to go home.
Starting point is 01:05:49 And like I just could not say it. You're just kind of making noises. No, it's like, it's like. I could picture the word and like, I was like, say that. And it just would not happen. I was like, I know what I want to say. I just, I don't know why I can't say it. Because I could still talk, but I couldn't like talk, you know,
Starting point is 01:06:07 deliberately. I couldn't say what I wanted to say. You're just saying random shit or you weren't talking out. You're just looking at her. Yeah, I was just kind of like, I don't know, like, I know what I'm trying to say to you. I just, I can't verbalize it. I don't know what's going on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Like, we got to get home. Jesus. So I go, I sit in my car for like 20 minutes. like waiting for this to like calm down right and so like we're on the phone and like getting the car back we get we call I call all the trainers like something's going on like we need to figure something out Todd calls he goes yeah the ER's ready for you like go on go get go see what's going on and so my wife we drive to the to the ER and by that time everything stopped so I'm like I knew we were talking about the tumble bus I knew we had doctor's point like I was like I wanted to say
Starting point is 01:06:52 this couldn't say I wanted like it was done So we go in there and they're doing all the tests or, you know, CT scan, anything you can think of. And they're like, you know, you probably looks like you maybe had like a little, you know, mini stroke or baby stroke, whatever. Just start taking some baby aspirins and you should be good. We'll keep you overnight and we'll see what happens. Jesus. Whatever. Like probably just had a mini stroke.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Yeah. Hey, it's no big deal. You probably just had a mini stroke. Just take this baby. Hey, take this baby aspirin. And in my mind, I'm like, yeah, I'm going to have to take baby aspirin for the rest of my life. Yeah. That's wild.
Starting point is 01:07:24 So that Wednesday night in the Thursday. And we go home like nothing shows up. Like talking obviously with with Rabel and all them trying to figure like I don't know what happened. Apparently we're good. So I come in on Friday. You're going to be able to play. Never doubt. Never doubted it.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Right. Yeah. So we coming on Friday started going again and we're in our online meeting. And at that time we would do like our board test to kind of see like where we were. Yeah, that was scary. You were in there right. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:51 So it's with the O line. And so it's my turn. and I get the most basic play there is, right? It's almost like lead left, essentially. And I thought I crushed it. And I forget if it was Ben or Taylor, but they were like, you know. So the way that the way the room set up is a whole, the whole room is dry erase boards basically. And so Keith will call you and say, you're up, you're up, oh, you remember this.
Starting point is 01:08:14 Dennis sits behind me. And then Ben sits in front of me. And then the board that Dennis went up to was between me and Ben. so Dennis and I don't want to take too much of this for me but like Dennis is up there do this thing and kind of fucked it up and that's not really fuck up plays like you know sometimes even Ben will get up there just draw something up and they'll be like hey no but oh I'm at this and then that's it Dennis does the shit right yeah so you fuck something up like you had the fullback going somewhere weird or something like that just a super basic thing and put it up and then
Starting point is 01:08:45 keep calls like four more dudes up and this is kind of just standing over me standing over me and I'm like you know I'm like hey dad Dennis, go back to your chair. And he's like, I guess, sorry. Like, it was really, I didn't think anything of it. So I remember this, because I remember you saying like, you know, what are you doing? Yeah. I don't know where I am right now.
Starting point is 01:09:04 And I sit down and dance chair. That's right. And that's what I tell her. Like, what the fuck is going on with you? Yeah. And I said, you need, like, you need to get someone. So we, though, this is as like, I just got goosebumps. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:17 This is as we're finishing everything up. Dennis is like, you need to get somebody. And literally, Dennis is like, you can tell. like Dennis is trying to communicate something, but he just can't. And he's like, tears are coming down his eyes, but he's not showing expression. Yeah. You can tell like this dude has having an internal struggle that he can't
Starting point is 01:09:32 communicate. He's like trapped in his body. Yeah, so I'm hitting boosties down the hallway, right? Sh shoving people out of the fucking way, getting to the trainers kicking down the door, getting Adrian and Todd. Doors open, you kick it anyway. Yeah, I closed it. I closed it. I closed it. And I get in them, hey, like, something's having with Dennis, we got to go.
Starting point is 01:09:48 And they start, they start springing something like, oh, this shit's real. Because apparently whatever, they knew what was going on. It clicked right away for them. Well, I was like running like, you know when you run and you're like inside? Yeah. I think, well, should I be doing this? You know what I'm saying? Yeah. And I get there and then I'm like, hey, Dennis is like trying to do something. And before I can finish
Starting point is 01:10:04 anything, they're fucking booking it. And I'm like, oh, this is actually real. So they're slow. I beat them back to tennis. And Dennis is not Todd's down. Yeah, Dennis is now sitting there with Keith. Oh, Vrabel. That's right. Frable. That's right. Fribles in there with him. And he's like, you can't
Starting point is 01:10:20 communicate. He can't talk. and he's crying, but he doesn't know. Like, it's not like a crying like a weeping. It's like just tears running down his face. You don't know. Dude, it was a fucking, and I'm out in that game too. Yeah, because you were dealing with a concussion. With allegedly.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. That's perfect, dude. That's perfect. So they call the ambulance. I go in and then they do all the tests. Like they,
Starting point is 01:10:44 like, best thing that came from is I knew it was healthy as shit. Like everything about me, they're like, we don't know what's going on because there's nothing wrong. with you. So like the day was fucking exhausting, right? And like, so like I'm sleeping and they're finally getting me to the room. And because they don't know what I was, they put me like in the, the stroke unit. And so like the nurse who's pushed me around is talking to Geriana like, can he talk? And Jerry's like, yeah, he's just taking a fucking nap. Like it's going to be like, because we didn't know like anything was going on. Well, see, they put like, they like tracked my brain
Starting point is 01:11:21 activity throughout the time I was there. So I had like during the time I had like like like almost like EGs, but they're like they had to move my hair and all that shit. So like I had that like three or four times. So Saturday comes along and like we're playing Houston where my brother was coaching. So my mom was coming into town anyways. So like she was able to come by and like kind of see like, why are you in the hospital? So I get let out of the hospital at like 12.15, right?
Starting point is 01:11:48 So like the game had already started. I'm listening to the game on the radio. the way home. Like, it took two or three weeks from when it all started for us to kind of maybe have an idea what was happening because then, so that would have been my like second episode, right? Yeah. Friday one.
Starting point is 01:12:05 I had another one then next week. And I don't know if I told you this one. But so I showed up. Like, I didn't go to work at all that week, right? Yeah. And the whole week everyone's like, hey, is Dennis dead? Yeah, yeah. Like, you know, they're not talking about it.
Starting point is 01:12:19 You don't talk about injuries and stuff. You just don't know. Usually you know what a guy's going through. All of a sudden, Dennis is just not there. In the team meeting. Yeah. So I'm sending us to an empty chair video. So I'm always kind of reminded of it like, hey, is you alive?
Starting point is 01:12:32 Yeah. Yeah. Like, where is Dennis? A leg room, though. Yeah. I was just, especially with them, Billy things. I had nothing. But, uh, so I remember, I did the, I only went into like for the Friday meetings just
Starting point is 01:12:44 to kind of like see what was going on and. See if you could play. Yeah. You're ready to play. But we're, I remember talking to wood. in the locker room because he's trying like like you said like you see the guy you're trying to figure out what's going on and I like started talking to him and I remember going like it's kind of happening right now again like that my it was hard I could do it but it was hard for me to
Starting point is 01:13:07 tell him what was going on yeah so as well those things I was like Jesus fucking Christ man like how is this not stopping like because like they're like when it wasn't happening I felt fine like there was nothing wrong like I was just like whatever and then it's soon as after that one, like, maybe like three or four days later, the migraine started. And, like, would wake me up in the middle of night and I'd have to, like, violently throw up. Jesus. My God. And so that's where they're like, so then they had to, like, start, like, treating me.
Starting point is 01:13:36 They didn't put me in the concussion protocol, obviously, because I didn't have a concussion. But, like, because it was a brain, they had to kind of go through those steps because that was their best measure, like, four measure. Yeah. I had no idea what it was. And so we're sending our tests around the country to different universities, to different doctors, you're trying to figure out if they've seen anything, if they've heard anything. And so Dr. Williams comes in at this point, he says like week three, maybe week four of like, we think it might be the super rare migraine disorder that starts off with a couple stroke-like episodes
Starting point is 01:14:07 or many brain or brain seizure type thing. And then you just have migraines for like a month and a half. And he's like usually timetables are right around like six weeks. So he gave me some, so the point then was to try and find some medicine. to cut the tension when I was having the migraine. Because you're about to have migraines for the next several weeks. Yeah, dude, I've all had a migraine once and it was nothing to fuck around. Right.
Starting point is 01:14:29 And like, I just slept the entire, because like, I, well, if I'm sick, I just try and sleep through everything. Like, that's just how I respond to it. Hmm. So I slept literally probably for about 18, 19 hours a day. And then I got the medicine going and it started working. It was like, okay, now we have, we're cooking with something. Then like six weeks on the doubt, gone.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Never had a problem since. Now, do you ever think about it? Do you ever worry about it? So they just chalked it up as that rare migraine disorder. And then when it was done, you're just kind of like, talk about North American medicine. Yeah, right? That's probably what it is.
Starting point is 01:15:01 Yeah. Six weeks, done. Haven't talked about it since. Like, they've asked, like, if there's anything in the first headache I had, like, random headache, like, I was like, fuck. Like, it's happening again. So, like, you're running the cover to find the medicine.
Starting point is 01:15:14 There's a little moment of like, is it happening again? But then it's like, it's just a headache. Yeah. But like, nothing. No residual. old, nothing. Damn, that's crazy, dude. That's so crazy. So you don't put a whole season
Starting point is 01:15:26 this year. Never had anything like it. Nothing. That's wild. You just re-up, too. Congrats on your contract, by the way. We always got to, we always, obviously we're late, but Dennis, you know, he signed a little three-year deal. Always solid. Titans. Hey, big win.
Starting point is 01:15:43 You know what I'm saying? Treading, but big one. What was it like to to get paid? Yeah. And then shortly after the Titans draft the first round draft pick at right tackle. You know that whole Aaron Rogers talk? Yeah. No.
Starting point is 01:15:58 Is that what you sit there and think about? I mean, no, I mean, that's not, you know. I felt like I was the quarterback from draft day. Right. Where you're sitting there watching and obviously it went the other way around where they picked the guy that you didn't want them to pick. But signing the deal was really like obviously really cool because like going into year nine back then. there's that point of like yo I'd never really had a chance to start
Starting point is 01:16:22 like I started my rookie year for 10 games because of injury and then the next spring they drafted Lane Johnson so I was like I'm not playing unless there's injury right um and so like I never had a real in my opinion a real chance to actually show that I can play and I thought I always could play like I always felt like I feel like I'm better than this guy I feel like I'm better than this guy like at least just give me a shot
Starting point is 01:16:42 you should buy yeah buy an opportunity right an actual shot. And so that's where, like, getting this deal is like, at least I should at least have a shot to play. To be the guy now. To be the guy. Because, like, that was one of the things like, because there was at some point, like, the possibility of going to play for Houston because of where my brother was. And, like, being able to play with him, like, that would be really cool to say that you got to work with your brother in the NFL. What is he coach?
Starting point is 01:17:07 He is still technically the offense coordinator. Because he's still in a time. That would be. That would be so. You got a nice little family. Right. So, like, but there was that point of, like, I don't. want to go in like seven years when I'm done and be like fuck man I should have at least tried to
Starting point is 01:17:20 get a place to start right and so I finally get that and it's like okay what's good like we're gonna kick ass this year like super excited like and then obviously you always hear like Twitter always had you know during that dead period and obviously what I think it was extra because of COVID right there was nothing but just like draft talk and fringe talk like what's going to happen where we're just sitting there scrolling you like me like well like we always love the looking at that shit. It's kind of fun. Oh yeah. You definitely want to know what's going on. 100% because you don't want like worst case would have been if I had no idea that
Starting point is 01:17:52 was going to happen. And then they just draft the tackle first round. You're like, what the fuck, man? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I was a little, even without the, you know, the scrolling and reading and all that. Like I kind of had an idea because there was a trend of that happening in the NFL. It happened like the year before to a couple guys where they brought someone in, drafts of the first round guy. And then Sunchy just relegated the guy. they signed to the swing tackle. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 01:18:18 And so, like, I was, I was obviously pretty upset about it because it was like, you know, I got promoted and demoted before I even had a chance to show. Before even push all the pads on. Right. Yeah. So, yeah, so that, like that, it was like, I was very frustrated. Combined that with, like, going through the COVID restrictions and locked on and all that. Like, everything was just stewing.
Starting point is 01:18:39 So I was just sitting there like, motherfucker. Like, and so on it, like, I felt like it helped me because, like, I felt like, I felt. like I came in a camp. I had a great camp this year. Yeah. And I feel like I played relatively well this year. Yeah, you did. You know?
Starting point is 01:18:53 Obviously, we didn't go all the way. But, you know. But when you're as an offense alignment, you can't, like, for any position, you can have a great year and not win it. Right. So it's kind of. Right. But it's like, obviously, like, there's still, because it's still like, like, the whole, like,
Starting point is 01:19:10 clear my mind thing. Like the process because the league's still going on. And you're watching the game. I'm like, well, could we could, could we have. beating the bills? Could we have beating the cheats? Like But we did beat the bills. We did beat the bills. We did be the bills. Donkeyed the bills.
Starting point is 01:19:21 No, hey, close mafia. I'm just saying it's how to happen. It was on Tuesday. Hey, without, without practicing. Yeah, that's fair. That was awesome. Remember that game was sponsored by Zoom? Remember at the end of the game? That shit.
Starting point is 01:19:36 That was funny. So you're going, sorry. So you think it could be the bills, could be the chiefs. Right. So like, so there's that process of like, shit, fuck. Like, we lost our last game. Like, that's still kind of. And like the way we lost that game too, you know, like the offense didn't go as well as we wanted to. But like on an individual level, when you try and look at it, it's like, yeah, I feel like they had a good year. Like, ton of the big runs were to the right.
Starting point is 01:19:59 I know there were some hats made. I don't know why. You ran right mostly. Oh, run left. Well, you know, a guy who made the hats got hurt. Yeah. But we still, we kept selling those motherfuckers. He's running live, maybe.
Starting point is 01:20:13 By the way, you can go to Barstall Sports and take you one of them things anytime you want. Yeah. But yeah, so it's like I'm ready to get ready to going again. So you feel good about the year you had. Because you had anxiety too, because based on the way your contract was set up and you're guaranteed, you're like, this could be a one year. And then they drafted the guy.
Starting point is 01:20:33 They drafted Isaiah. And you're thinking, yeah, Panda. And you're thinking, damn, I might only be here one year. I was just kind of a transition mentor guy. And there was a part of me like that was, worried that like it didn't matter what I did that at some point they were going to try and play a first rounder right like yeah that's usually what happens right like you don't like that's just a normal thought process anytime someone gets drafted right round and so it was just like
Starting point is 01:20:58 fuck man I'm going to get screwed over and then I'm like this was my shot and now I'm going to be over 30 going into free agency not never being you know the guy always just being you know good at a lot of things, but not great as anything. Right. Right. A top swing guy. Right. But not every Swiss Army knife. Sure. Yeah. And so I was just there was like that moment I was like, yo, I'm just going
Starting point is 01:21:22 to get royally screwed and it doesn't matter what I do. And to your credit too, when we were in. I remember your bone because he was whining the tailor boy. Hey, wine the hell out of me. Yeah. We had some late risk nice dudes. Dennis and I have always had the relationship where one of us needs to vent about something, there's always been an open ear.
Starting point is 01:21:38 You know what I'm saying? Hey, come here. Hey, talk to me. Yeah. You need I talked to Dennis three or four times during the year about how much, what do I do? Bob and it was just me giving it back. Yeah. The way it was deserved. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:50 But to give you credit to, I mean, we obviously didn't have OTAs. We didn't do camp. We had camp, but it was a weird camp. Yeah. You gave Isaiah every opportunity.
Starting point is 01:22:00 You helped him so much. It's the part. I look at him, be like, I wouldn't be fucking doing that. You know what I'm saying? I mean, you do have a, guys have different ways of going about it. It's just a,
Starting point is 01:22:09 it's just a revolving door of a business. Yeah. Like I was sitting in the bar like it's, I didn't get signed like a deal you had, but I signed a one year like two million dollar deal to come here. And I'm sitting at the bar and they traded up and drafted Rashon in the first round. Yeah. And he, you know, he was out all camp with his hamstring. Right. They forced him to play regardless of what was going on, how he looked and all that.
Starting point is 01:22:28 Exactly. So it just like, you know, you just don't know how to play it all the time. And I remember during one of our venting sessions where I was like, you know, they're going to want me to help him too. Yeah. Why the fuck would I do that? And like, obviously, I was angry. Like, I was mad. Right.
Starting point is 01:22:41 Of course. I mean, that's what the point of venting is. You can say whatever you want. Right. The ears are listening are kind of just an area. You could be venting to this fucking TV. Sure. But, you know.
Starting point is 01:22:51 But, yeah. So, like, it's, and someone asked me earlier on, like, like, are you helping them? Like, how would you want, you know, how media gets with? Yeah. Like, they're wording and their questions. Like, yeah, like, it would be really stupid and, like, a shitty move for me not to at at least give them some guidance and some pointers. Right.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Right. Right. Right. Right. Because, like, at some point, we're all trying to win. Right. We're all on the same team. So, like, there's, like, there's a common goal there.
Starting point is 01:23:13 Mm-hmm. And especially if you see somebody has something that you're like, you don't want to see them fail. Yeah. You know what I mean? No, like, you know, that's, and that was, like, it's not the kids' fault. Yeah, it's not the kids full that they rejected you.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Right. You're saying, they were on the left tackle this year. I'd be like, yeah, what do you need? Yeah, right. You're not going to win the job, but like, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're not mad at the person.
Starting point is 01:23:31 No, you never mad at the person. They did anything. Right. You know, so. Yeah, that was a, it was a fun couple, you know, couple months or so. Going to camp too with so much
Starting point is 01:23:40 I've, I mean, anytime something happens to me, I take it personally and I'm like, how can I fucking yeah,
Starting point is 01:23:46 hey, hey, we're aware as risk, as risk opponents of yours, we are aware. I'll take anything and make it personal.
Starting point is 01:23:54 It helps motivate me, yeah, yeah, Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan yourself. That's when I take it person. Yeah. Watching,
Starting point is 01:24:01 watching you go through that, it's like, it was so on brand for how the whole process was getting emotional, upset about the situation. Yeah. And then,
Starting point is 01:24:08 right before it was time to act on those emotions you leveled out and handled it like a pro which is really cool but you know people say it all the time you're best pro best pro in the room. Be a pro hand in the right way dude you're also what is it you're also the
Starting point is 01:24:23 I'm brain fart right now well it's an hour and a half I'm sure our NFLPA rep our NFLPA we do need a we do need to wrap it up but I am curious since you're a rep how you think How do you feel about selling out for a union that doesn't really give a fuck about the players

But like if you were to say the PED stuff. Yeah. Right. Do you think maybe we should fucking think on that a little bit next time
Starting point is 01:26:23 union? Not you. Well, guess you. That's his question. You can answer his first. So should we work on the PED suspension deal? Yes. Okay. Would you say it's a flawed system? I mean, it's, what's hard about that is like it's supposed to be a competitive advantage disadvantage issue right and so you do have to make it black and white that you can't have it gray the problem is what I think the issue is is that the NFL and sports in general need to push to have that industry regulated because there are you're seeing he's talking about supplements yeah because it is kind of
Starting point is 01:26:58 of the wild law west out there's a fucking one I think there was a documentary called bigger stronger faster that came out I was in high school but it talked about the used to steroids and like what it was and it took it from like a non like steroids are bad or steroids are great it took it straight up like this is what they do and he went there was like a 10 minute segment where he essentially he made his own supplement put whatever he wanted on the labels that this could sell at a GNC if I got it in there isn't that wild damn that is crazy it's like it's baking powder and sugar right and it's like but because you don't have to say what's in it it's like players are always trying to do something to obviously recover better you know get
Starting point is 01:27:35 strong, find that at. You want to help yourself. And you could, you could probably jump through loopholes, pay for the certification and get NSF certified. Right. And if you still popped on it, it's still your responsibility. Because the NFL tells you like, yeah, it can be on our banned substance list or it can be, it can be NSF certified, which is like our regulation. But if you get popped and it's NSF certified, they're like, hey, you're so responsible. Well, yeah, because the issues you can't find where it came from. Right. I could say I'm taking all the supplements. And then what I failed for Austrian, I could be taking Austrian in the side. Yeah. And there would be no way for me to prove that.
Starting point is 01:28:05 one way or the other. Yeah. Right. And it's like, you know, people talk about our government all time. Like, oh, it's a dated system. It's like, but what are we going to do? What's the, will you change? It's the same thing with this. It's like, yeah, I get pissed off about the PED thing. Like, it's, we need to change something because it's bullshit. And, but like, what are going to change? It's bigger than just the, you know, the problem that affected. The NFL versus NFLPA, it's more, it seems like an industry thing. Right. It's a process of getting a regulated industry. Right. Well, Rabel, when I, when I had my PED, I went, I told John before all this stuff happened. And I told
Starting point is 01:28:35 Vrable and Vrable brought a good point to me he goes here you have to get over right now Half people thinking you did it We're going to think you did it and the other half are going to think you're innocent. That's just what it is and now that's how you get over it. I'm like fuck some good ass advice. Because really
Starting point is 01:28:51 you get there and you're like I go and tell the boys before I go to the press conference and stuff and it's like I'm looking at half the team I'm sure half these guys probably think I fucking took something you know it's just what it is there's nothing you can do about them. I'm sure there's people out there and that think of me as a cheater and it's just what it is.
Starting point is 01:29:07 You should have to get over that shit. And it's like, it does suck. Right. It definitely was, it's because it's not obviously something I ever wanted to do or tried. I mean, you handled it well. Obviously, you probably had your own personal conversations and demons yourself, but I'm saying, I've jokingly said that. As your boy, you've handled it.
Starting point is 01:29:25 You've handled it well. I've jokingly said, even on this podcast, like the last two years have been shit. Really, my last two years of my career have been shit. I failed for a PED. and, you know, every year I want to make a proble. Like, that's like my goal, right? I have the capability, have the ability to do that.
Starting point is 01:29:40 I play like it. That's why I hold myself to a standard. Fail for a PED, lose a bunch of money, and have this tainted thing on my resume. And then the next year I come out, playing good ball and tear my sale. And it's just like,
Starting point is 01:29:52 yeah, it's all perspective. At this point. Yeah, but it's all perspective. Because when you came back from your PED, you had some holding calls, but, I mean,
Starting point is 01:29:59 the form you're looking in toward the end of the year and all that stuff, it's like, you can't discredit that, shit like you were having a pro bowl style you were playing a pro bowl style you're playing a pro bowl style ball if you were to I mean if you ask any tackle in the league if I'm a pro borer still they say yes it's just the shit that happened like it's just how do you come back from right but how do you play after
Starting point is 01:30:18 you come back that's gonna be the question you know you're gonna crush it but even before you tore your ACL you were balling yes so I'm just saying your last two years weren't shit it's if you think was I pro bowler and if the answer is no and if that accumulates to be in shit then yeah but I'm just saying like when you've played you've been you've been It's been there, just the ability to go to the Pro Bowl. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I mean, trust me, I'm upset, too. Hey, boys miss out on two pro bowl's in a year.
Starting point is 01:30:42 I missed out on two shots in a thing, man. Like, I ain't got much time left, dude. What was your question about the PA? My question was, what do you feel like the off seasons are going to look like moving forward, especially with all the information we have now? Like winning, the Cleveland Browns winning a playoff game without practicing all week, us beating the bills without practicing. Like we have facts and information that it shows we don't have to more doesn't necessarily equate to more
Starting point is 01:31:09 And we didn't have OTAs we didn't have no spring none of that What do you feel like is going to happen? What do you think the outlook of the future is going to be between the NFL and the NFL So it's going to be really interesting because actually I do have an interesting dynamic with my brother Because he's the coach aspect of it and they I mean obviously they don't really have a say In like the practice set up or anything like that but as any coach they want more practice more you know like all coach weeks. Yeah. So,
Starting point is 01:31:34 but I do think it's going to be really interesting to see how the owners, um, combat our argument to what you just said. Like we had a new coach make the playoffs with the Browns. They, we won with having, what,
Starting point is 01:31:49 one practice. They won. One practice in 16 days. Yeah. They won with a playoff game. Right. And so like the, the fact that like the stat,
Starting point is 01:31:59 what was it? It was that. scoring was up, penalties are down, and missed tackles were down. So you can make a case that penalties are down, like that's just a, you know. It's the refs. Yeah, that's going to go up. Yeah. But like the miss tackles is, I think, is actually really big because that's one thing
Starting point is 01:32:16 you see a lot is just bad form, bad technique and guys kind of breaking out early in the season. That's, for that to be down, I think shows that we, you know, we talk about being a pro, right? Like a lot of these things were built in because guys weren't working out all year. Guys weren't. Camp used to be, now this is decades ago. Camp used to be like eight weeks or nine weeks because they had to get the guys in shape. And then they play football, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:43 Well, like, it's not really necessary anymore. Like, you know, we're the only league in the world that I know of that has an offseason program randomly. Like in the middle of the off season. You know all the break. Yeah. Like baseball pitchers and catchers. report like a month or a couple weeks earlier than everyone but that's still a continuation of their season yeah but i mean you can make the argument that football's different than these sports
Starting point is 01:33:07 that don't have these off seasons but baseball plays 162 games out of year and they go jump right in after a couple months off right you know what i know 100 but there's like that physical aspect of it so then they're like why would you like the whole like my biggest thing is like when we were talking about the cb a negotiations last time and everyone had questions and like we're verbage and wording and everything like that. I was like, you have to be careful of loopholes with like coaches.
Starting point is 01:33:33 Because remember all the loopholes in college that you would like, you can't have 11 people in a huddle. So you put 12 people, you'd make an illegal formation where the guy would be like, the wider seat would be like right on the out of bounce line to make it an illegal formation.
Starting point is 01:33:48 So you could have your walkthroughs or you have a towel instead of a ball like that type of thing. Yeah. Oh, that shit. Right. So the one that like hit me. was like it was walkthrough talk talks about walk through and they were saying that like it was something the wording was like jogging or teaching tempo and I was like you got to get jogging out of there because as soon as you do that it becomes practice like what's right
Starting point is 01:34:12 how do you determine run my jog versus your job run through yeah exactly yeah so run through that shit dude the first couple walkthroughs yeah and camp you're like god damn bolts are flying yeah because you're working moves like I don't have a helmet on shocking you in the Chess? Yeah. He's got a rookie's trying to make, you know, making an oppression. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:31 Like, I remember we had a walkthrough with Chip Kelly's, his new coach minicamp, right? And everyone was walking through. So everyone wore gym shoes. It was more or less a fault. Like everyone was slipping because everyone was trying to like break or do anything like. So from then on we had to wear cleats that walkthroughs.
Starting point is 01:34:49 And it's like you just wish some guys would just be like, just put the shoes on. Yeah. And do it. You don't be all right. Right. Like if some dude tries to burn you. It's like no one wants a medal and walk through.
Starting point is 01:34:59 Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Brable's the king at like shitting on dudes for going too hard. Just absolutely shitting on guys about that. This is hilarious. Shit's funny. I tell you, that would have,
Starting point is 01:35:08 it would make it more of a, more of a veterans game. 100% and that's true. Because where the struggle becomes is developing these rookies and these new guys who come into the league. But do you go to having like a, like a keeper keeping rookie minicamp? Did you attend a 10-day process? Right. I see what I see what I see.
Starting point is 01:35:23 I see. You could easily change. Roaky minicams. Holy shit. to do two rookie mini camps. Did you really? Because I was on practice squad my first year. So the next year my in my linebarian coach comes up to me is like, hey, I just, you know,
Starting point is 01:35:34 I want you, if you're going to get mad, I want you to get mad now, but you're going to hate knowing that you're eligible to go to rookie minicamp again and they're going to ask you to go to rookie minicamp. It actually worked out. It has was the de-coordinator at the time. And we didn't draft a linebacker. So they got to put, I had more attention since I was already on the team. So they got to kind of focus on me and stuff.
Starting point is 01:35:53 And I feel like that's actually where I got more of a chance to make. the team the next year, but I was so pissed off that I had to do two rookie mini camps. It was a brutal dude. Rookie camp is probably the most bloodbath of everything. It's the most fucked up weekend. The coaches are all in all of your heads because you don't know nothing. You don't know. You're like, oh, this is a league.
Starting point is 01:36:13 It's a legit game. Yeah. Yeah. Again, everyone's trying to make that first impression. So it's, and like, OTA is like, you know, they're supposed to be like no contact and like things like that. And it's like, everyone does it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:25 Like, like, that camera's blinking. I don't know what the fuck that means, but. Talking too long. Fuck, yeah. Hour 41? So it'll be really interesting to see how that plays out because I, I personally don't think we will have an OTAs this year. That'd be awesome. Just because, like, with COVID.
Starting point is 01:36:46 Start up that, fire up that risk league boys. I wasn't even planning on going to camp this year. Right. Or OTAs. Because your knees. Yeah. For sure. Program.
Starting point is 01:36:55 I'm well ahead of schedule right now. Yeah. I'm fired up about it. But I wasn't even planning on doing that. Hopefully there'll be a Zoom meetings where you're like, because I do like talking ball. Yeah. I love the camaraderie with the boys.
Starting point is 01:37:06 Oh, and the boys all get together. I love that. Is there much camaraderie on the Zooms though? Not really. It's tough. We had our little, we had our little comedy,
Starting point is 01:37:14 comedy hour. Yeah. Hey, Rayble put that on us, what, five days before? Yeah. And we're like,
Starting point is 01:37:20 okay, I guess we'll just figure this out then. Yeah. But Calliando crushed it. He did. He was funny, dude. Yeah. He did.
Starting point is 01:37:26 I'll tell you what, I don't know where you guys are going to fit four more, three more ads, but fucking right. Hell yeah.

Starting point is 01:37:44 And you know what I think we should do? I think we should get jerseys. I think so too. Pennies. Yeah, like little, like lacrosse crop top pennies. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:51 And you put, you put on the back, just the last name is tier. and you have the numbers one, two, and three. Oh, I like that shit. That's cool. So, yeah, go. We don't have those.
Starting point is 01:38:01 We don't have those. We don't have those. But I love how he was bought into it. That shit fired me up. Yeah, I love that, dude. I'll wear a penny, no question. No tarp under. Just having the belly button show.
Starting point is 01:38:13 Yeah, you were saying that. I didn't really know what the jersey was that you were referring to. Cropped top pennies. They have like thick holes in them like this. And then at the top's like a mesh, right? Like early 90s? like an old like, like, that go down to like here.
Starting point is 01:38:26 Yeah. But they fucking, right where the rib cage ends, it's like right there. Oh, that would be solid. Yeah, there's a solid.
Starting point is 01:38:33 Like what you used to wear like a youth football yeah. To practice. Yeah, your parents wrap you off. You either got an oversized t-shirt on. Like your dad's t-shirt,
Starting point is 01:38:42 dude. Yeah, dude, that fucking, uh, the red with the white top. The best water you'll ever drink is in that green is in that, you said trash?
Starting point is 01:38:50 Trash. Dude. I just filled up with ice and water. Oh. Yeah. Legit, if you grow up in Arizona drinking like tap water, you can go to Mexico and drink the water.
Starting point is 01:39:00 That's how that water is out there. I mean, that Bontan, Missouri water went, no. Built different. You know what I'm saying? It's a little. But ain't nothing you're going to put, you're not going to put your mouth on anything better than a red igloo cooler. A red igloo cooler. You'll put
Starting point is 01:39:14 nothing, nothing better will go on your mouth than that cooler of water. I think, I mean, do you just want to have the rest of these things? There's so much shit. Oh, no.
