Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
The story I've told myself can then shape my behavior, and that can lead me to sabotage the possibility of connection.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, tune into the podcast Deeply Well with Debbie Brown if you've been searching for a soft place to land while doing the work to become whole.
This podcast is for you to hear more.
Listen to Deeply Well with Debbie Brown from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your.
podcast.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year
on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest
playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was crying.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game 7,
Marquis keep coming to you.
He's like, you know, I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever.
you get your podcast.
This is your boy,
Will Compton,
Willie C,
aka Comp Nasty,
aka Wolf,
aka Cookie.
Um,
you are listening to Bussing with the Boys.
I am your host.
I'm not the only host.
Taylor Luan is also hosting with me,
but he is,
you know what?
It's our first day of work and he's already,
he's already,
he's already flaked on me.
The boy got sick last.
night I guess food poisoning like 3 a.m.
And he called, you know, he called out of work.
He called out of work with me. He's called out of work with everybody.
So right now it's just me.
This is episode double zero.
We've actually shot an episode and it's, it wasn't up the par because we're a video quality.
And our, wait, no, no, our audio quality, my phone.
Our video.
Zach, back up.
Hey, Zach, stop talking.
Like, don't even make noise.
I am the host
Taylor Luan is co-hosting with me
Zach is filling in today
but do not talk unless spoken to
don't even
I haven't even talked to you
I'm talking to the audience
um
the podcast is called Bussin with the boys
at first it was called the Den podcast
working title as Taylor liked to
tag in there
um
yeah we
scrap that name our personality is like the the den is more of like i guess will's deal with
people think we just scrapped it we scrapped the whole thing we scrapped the whole bit we bought a bus
people told us we should have it something factored on the bus beautiful bus by the way it's a
dale earnhardt junior rustic looking bus you guys have probably seen it on social media
here we go here's the time where i have to plug our social media follow us at busing
WTB on Twitter and Instagram.
I believe we have a Facebook out or coming out.
Zach, here's your moment to say something.
Do we have a Facebook yet?
We do have a Facebook.
Go like us on Facebook.
What's the Facebook page?
Bussing with the boys.
It's Bussing with the boys or busing WTB?
No, Bustin with the boys.
Okay, Facebook page, Bussing with the boys, Instagram and Twitter,
busing WTB.
It pains me to do that stuff.
because it is annoying.
But in this episode zero, double zero,
whatever we're going to call this episode,
that is our chance to support us.
You know, support our page,
support what we're doing.
We love to have you following us.
We love your input.
Comment all the time.
Make fun of us.
It's all about throwing shit back and forth at each other.
Yes, there's going to be a little cussing.
It's going to be raw.
We're going to raise a little hell.
We're going to have some whiskey every now and then.
We're just two dudes being dudes sitting with another dude or gal bringing some cool,
some dope conversation, storytelling, talking about their journey.
I guess our journeys if they wanted to ask us, just whatever comes out of our mouth.
We have a pretty cool guest list that we're trying to, you know, we got a cool list of
people that we're trying to get on board.
I know we were on the phone today with likes of Kid Rock.
You know, we have people all over.
I don't want to ruin stuff.
I don't want to stick my foot in my mouth by saying guests that are going to come on.
They don't come on for a while.
But I know coming up, we're going to have Delaney Walker,
my favorite player on the Tennessee Titans and potentially in the National Football League.
We also have our guy, Adam Bobo, who runs this company out of Nashville called Arete.
I hope I'm saying that right, a reet, not a ret.
But it's our IV guy.
He's our IV guy, our fluid guy.
You know, we don't use the saline bags of IVs that you see at hospitals and such,
but a lot of vitamin-rich nutrient IV bags.
And he kind of runs that side of things for us.
So we're going to have him on, bring him cool insight.
But yeah, man, you know, I'm going to go on tangents.
We're going to be all over the place.
I'm fired up about this podcast.
We have our own podcast.
It's something that I've thought about now for a few years.
And I was insecure about starting one.
I didn't know how it do
The boy was by himself
Right and these kind of goals and this stuff down
Like you know be one of the first players
And something to have a podcast
And this past year
A few of the homies
Derek Morgan, Logan Ryan
Kevin Byard did name a few
They would mess with me sometimes
You know around the training room or in the locker room
Like you come on don't you have a podcast or oh that'd be a good idea
You should have one
And it was kind of like the affirmation I need
from like peers on my level of work to you know once they said that I just jolt in my mind you
I need to do this I need to stop being a pussy and so here we are man uh Taylor and I we kind of met
over podcasting talking podcast Joe Rogan Ben Greenfield Christa Leah to name a few the fighter
and the kid those have been at big inspirations I know for me personally I'm Taylor he's big fan
of Joe Rogan Ben Greenfield stuff now Crystal Lee I've got him on Crystalia but uh
And I'm taking credit for that.
But yeah.
And then we kind of agreed to start this podcast.
I was about to,
I was planning on going all in in December or January after the season was over.
He wanted in.
I was all about it.
Then he ghosted and went to California to live, you know, to be,
to be a beach boy for a few months.
Him and his,
him and his beautiful wife and child,
the bean who, man,
I can't wait to have the bean on as a guest.
She can barely talk, but we're going to have her on.
That's for sure.
but he ghosted me for about four months.
I'm like, you know, thinking,
it was kind of an excuse to wait longer to do the podcast,
but I told myself if he didn't want to do it,
I was going to do it regardless.
But feeling him out, he won it all in, was all about it.
So that's one of my best dudes.
So I waited on him.
I waited to get this thing done.
I got to meet cardboard films.
They're doing our audio and video and a bunch of other legwork for us.
They're freaking studs, dude.
cardboard films.
Hey, where do we meet you guys?
What would you guys do for Taylor and Talon?
What was it?
We did that Home Street benefit like 10 minutes documentary.
Taylor and Taylor and Taylor and Taylor kind of made the whole fort there.
Did this Home Street home for like this project for homeless people for, you know, giving back and things of that sort.
And cardboard films put together this 10 minute documentary.
And they fell in love with cardboard.
Taylor plugged me in with cardboard.
I was going to go a different route with a video audio guy.
and he's like, uh, you know, meet my guys at cardboard, yada, yada, yada.
I ended up coming across cardboard because my buddy, Derek Morgan,
it was doing a documentary with them and I got to do this cool interview for him.
And I sat down and talked to him about the whole podcast idea,
and they like, you know, wanted to be on board and they jumped up the idea.
Yeah, and so we got this thing rolling, met a few times, waited on Taylor to get his ass back to Nashville.
Now we're here, OTAs.
We decided we needed to hire out.
some interns.
One, his name is, what's your last name, Zach, what?
Patton.
Okay, I did, I did ask you.
Zach Patton, how much do you weigh, Zach?
I'm a solid, I'm a buck 30.
Soaking wet?
Or right now?
Right now.
Okay, 130, 132 soaking wet.
How old are you?
You look about 30, he looks about 13.
We wanted somebody who we could really bully around the set.
How old are you?
Can I talk?
Go ahead.
Thank you.
Uh, 19.
Zach is 19.
I look 15.
Is it true that you were a homecoming king?
Dude, you were a homecoming king?
I was Spirit King.
What the, what is Spirit?
I've got the spirit, man.
That's what that means.
You know, Zach is, he's an intern for us.
He goes to the University of Tennessee.
He does some quality video work for those guys
for the women's basketball team, right?
Correct.
They have a steal, you know, just based off the stuff you do with us here.
I think you're a stud, man.
We hired out another intern.
I don't even know.
name we're not even going to talk about it um he's already put out a few tweets of us he was our
first tweet that wanted to go follow everybody begging for follows like hey we'll follow the first 500
ridiculous we're not even going to talk about him on here yet but we hired this other intern he's
he does well too but he will not be he's not going to be talked about and so here we are we have a
squad of five people myself taylor one six okay six people Zach
the unknown intern that we don't know yet
P-P and juice
P-P and juice run cardboard films
Did I miss anybody?
I didn't miss anybody
So our squad's deep, man
And we're, you know
Listen, I'm already all over the place
And that's kind of going to be the idea of the podcast
We're going to have dope conversations with people
And we're just kind of doing whatever the hell we want to do
We want to reach more people
We want to use our platform better
You know, we want to
We want to engage with you guys
We want to engage with the audience.
We want to have cool people sitting down with us.
The conversations that go on, for instance, in the locker room, in the sauna, in the steam room, in the cold tub, outside of the facility when you're talking about ambitious things with your teammates, as far as things you do in performance, business, anything, health, all of that stuff.
Taylor and I thought it would be awesome if we take these conversations, get them recorded, and do something.
some really cool video work and visual work as well on social media to engage with you guys
because I think it's dope man I think it's cool that you know we get to relate experiences that
we have with you guys we get to do it from a spot where a spot of curiosity not a spot of
we're giving you guys information on how to live your life but more the questions we ask on a
daily basis in our lives by who we consult with, who we sit and hang out with.
And we just want to have these things recorded and push through video content and some
fun stuff we're going to do with with cardboard films and our couple interns.
And I think it's going to be awesome, man.
But I'm excited.
Zach, the big reason you're on here, you know, again, this is like one of the first
episodes we've recorded and it's just me missing the boy.
he's sitting in the boy's chair.
He's sitting in Taylor's chair.
And the reason I want to have you on is maybe some questions
or just you speaking from an audience perspective on, you know,
what you think bussing with the boys could potentially bring to the table.
I don't know.
Really, we don't know why we had you on.
But we want to have you on.
We want you to have a few minutes to speak.
Ask some questions maybe.
Because we want to give our audience, you know,
we want to answer some things that they might have.
And you might have that perspective that they do.
Here's your, here's your moment.
This is, so, don't ruin it.
Don't ruin it.
So, no, I think the point, kind of the point of this, kind of like you said, is to humanize
yourself.
I mean, you're just a normal person.
You do normal things.
You have normal conversations with other normal people.
And I think you want to kind of spotlight this stuff and bring that to the table because,
I mean, you might have a lot more money than I do, but you're another person just like me.
Yeah, but, you know, that was well said.
That was well said.
Yeah, for sure.
Like the same things that go on in like my mind and probably Taylor's mind is the same thing that goes on in everybody's mind.
Like everybody's trying to find their way through this life cycle with a lot of curiosity, learning from people.
Like me, I'm a huge podcaster, man.
I'm just constantly curious on things.
And recently I'm curious with my transition once I transition away from football.
And I'm not saying like that's not a retirement shot right there.
That's just me understanding that I am a, you know,
29-year-old linebacker that is not getting any younger.
So I'm very fascinated with learning what I'm going to be doing
once I transition out of football.
So, yeah, man, having those dope conversations,
having those insightful conversations is, like you said,
we want a spot like that.
We want to share these.
What you said, humanized conversations to, you know,
an audience that I feel like can get a lot out of it
and laugh with us, man,
and just be a little ridiculous.
loose with us.
We can have a long
pauses too.
That's the beautiful thing
about this.
We can literally do
whatever the hell we want.
Zach, are you going to
oh.
We're not even putting it back on.
We're just going to go.
We're rolling with it.
You just piss me off.
We're just rolling with it.
They can't see what's happening
so you might want to tell them what's happening.
Yeah, so what's happening right now
is we have these arms
that are with our mic
that are, we have them
we have them strapped on the
side of the bus.
And Zach keeps
messing with it and it keeps falling off
you know you hear a little subtle noises of the
background but Zach just fiddling with this stuff
and it's really pissing me off because he's really
only going to have one opportunity to be on here
this is it I don't know why it's
one of the first ones but it is
and I'm holding the microphone stand now because
it's yeah it's just
broke
it's just handheld
Zach will you give us
you got one minute to give us your NASCAR
update my NASCAR update
okay so yeah my favorite
My favorite driver is Dale Jr.
Obviously, he doesn't race anymore,
so I'm still searching for that favorite driver.
Yeah, they just raced at Kansas last weekend.
It was actually a decent race.
I host my own NASCAR podcast.
Don't know if I can give a plug to that not.
Don't you give a fucking plug to your podcast.
This is our podcast right now.
Well, said, I can't, so we're not going to do that.
Just good luck finding it.
I'm the co-host.
So, yeah, just search NASCAR podcast.
That's it.
Zay, give us the update.
We're not plugging your shit.
Okay, yeah.
Dell Jr. is not in the sport.
I miss him a lot.
Super fan.
Dude, guess what?
We're buds.
I told me.
Well, the listeners don't know that I've told you that.
So thanks for showing that I say that constantly.
I texted him the other week.
I was like, hey, we can't let this friendship slip.
Showed him the picture of the bus.
He seems psyched about it.
He's going to be a guest on the podcast.
I want to get this bus running so we can.
document, drive out to his place and film a podcast on his property.
If he happens to listen to this, Dale, we want to come to North Carolina.
Do you know he just has a herd of buffalo, like pet buffalo?
I believe it.
Or bison.
I think it's bison.
Just like five pet bison on his farm.
They're pets?
Yeah, pet.
He's got names for him.
And he's got a western saloon town on his land.
He hosts party is that?
How have you not got invited?
You need to get invited to one of those.
I do.
I mean, it's creepy how much you kind of know about this.
Dale, do you know where he lives?
I know the road.
I don't know the numerical number.
Dale, if you're listening, I'm sorry.
Can't wait to meet you.
I promise I'm not that weird in person.
All right, so we're going to wrap this one up after Zach wanted to talk about how
not weird he was in person.
Kind of really put a weird vibe into this podcast already.
We're going to end this thing.
Again, follow us, busing WTB.
This is episode zero, double zero, triple zero.
Listen, I don't want to.
put one out without the boy. I hate
that the boy's not here. I hope he gets better. I hope he gets
well. But guys
and gals, thanks for listening.
Support this thing. Get on this
movement with us. We love to have
you. And if not, you know, whatever.
