Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's us The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast?
Starting point is 00:00:09 Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen.
Starting point is 00:00:27 We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Your husband is not who you think he is. Your body is not what you thought it was. Your identity is formed by a secret history. I'm Danny Shapiro, and these are just a few of the stunning stories
Starting point is 00:01:11 I'll be exploring on the 14th season of Family Secrets. He kind of shoved me out of the way and said, move. And he went out the front door, and he jumped in a car and drove off, and that was the last time I saw him. Listen to Season 14 of Family Secrets on the IHeart Radio app, Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Friendly reminder, every episode you've heard up to this point, every episode you're going to hear. They were pre-recorded in the summertime. We also talk about Madden ratings. Jayon's growth as a player, getting coached by the old Alpha Dog Coach Vrable. And, you know, a little fun back and forth with him and Q. But it was a fun episode. We had a lot of fun. A lot of great feedback on the last one, Ben Newman.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Got a little deep on the boys. Very insightful. But now we got Jan. Now we're going to have some fun. We're going to listen. Just listen to the episode. I'm rambling. I apologize.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Go ahead and drop the hook. No. He was like, I'll cut my dick off and win the Super Bowl. Oh, he said that? Get the fuck. Where do you say that?
Starting point is 00:05:34 What do you say that? What do you say that? What do you say that? Yeah, look it up. Look it up. See where he said. I have it on my fucking phone, bro.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Get out your camera. Is your camera rolling? No, we gotta get... No, just roll. Can you video right now? Bloss? Oh, that. Yeah, just start.
Starting point is 00:05:52 No, hang on, hang on, I don't go back. Say what you said. What did he say? You said, did we see what? It said. Mike Brable says he will gladly chop off his own dick to win the Super Bowl. Do you know where he said that at? It says it on Deadspin.
Starting point is 00:06:04 On Dead Spend? Well, find out where they got that link at. Jayon just asked us if we knew that Coach Brabel said that quote. Like, hey, did you guys see that what Brape said? Like, what did he say? He goes, he chop his dick off for a Super Bowl. We're like, show us where he said that. He's like, let me pull it up.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Let me pull it up. Where did you find the question? What, where's it at? He's gonna look at. I see it on Twitter. I see him on Twitter. Yeah? Look it up.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Look up where he said that. All right. And a Frappuccino, bro? I have to wake up. You know? He said I had to wake up. He said I had to wake up, you feel me? I mean, in Calipan.
Starting point is 00:06:44 There's not. There's not. There's like 15 million. I don't drink coffee like. Well, I do drink coffee like that, but like. You say you got one of them every day to get you rolling. Where did you very able to say this shit? Yeah, keep looking out.
Starting point is 00:06:55 I'm looking. Oh, I got it. What is it? What is it? It's on Despinning. I pulled up a little article. Read it. Please read it.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Bravo is known for bold, confidence style, and coaching that could accurately be described as cocky. Okay, where is your book?
Starting point is 00:07:15 Is there a video of him saying? It's not a video. It's just, like, right? I think there was a video out there. Okay, okay. It says a one.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Oh, shit. So it says, Matt Neely said he would chop off his own dick for a Uno Super Bowl Hey read that. Read it right above the Luwan thing. The paragraph that says, go down.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Vrable Express. Read that out loud. Vrable Express. Just read it out loud. Brable expressed the willingness to cast Drey himself in exchange for Lombardi Trophy as a guest on Bussing with the boys.
Starting point is 00:08:03 So you came to us You're on busted with the boys right now That's where he sat there and he said that He said this on here What the fuck? You're one of the boys And you don't even keep up with the boys? I kept up with the boys
Starting point is 00:08:16 I heard it You know he said it somewhere Oh put the fucking tape Bro run this shit Oh my goodness Pissed off at you right now, dude And I was so happy to see you Yo I can't even believe dude
Starting point is 00:08:29 You know You know the thing is you're trying to play it off Like you still knew Like you're not I didn't know I knew he said it. I didn't know what came from here, though. Is the pod rolling?
Starting point is 00:08:38 We've been rolling? Headphones on, you can bring that mic as close. Taylor, talk about what just fucking happened. That mic right there is. Sorry, after yon. Yeah, so we got, um, our guest today is Jan Brown on the podcast. And, um, he just came on. He just came on the bus and he goes, yo, he's like, I had to go back from Cali with a, with a fucking frappuccino.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Do not disrespect us on this podcast, bro. Do not disrespect us on this podcast. Bringing a fucking Frappuccino on here, bro. that's feminine. We'll tell you why we kicked that, dude. But the reason why I'm mad, and I actually didn't mean to disrespect you that much, that was pretty disrespectful. But I will say the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen someone do is you sat in the seat, Mike Vrable sat in. And you said to us, hey, did you see that Mike Vrable would chop his dick off for a Super Bowl?
Starting point is 00:09:27 He did it on the bus. Taylor and I just played into and goes, what? He said that? Where did he say that? And he goes, I don't know, man. I saw it somewhere. He said he chopped his dick off for a Super Bowl. I think it's on deadspin.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Let me find it for you real quick. Let me find it. He's trying to help us out. And we're just sitting here like this motherfucker. Comes on the bus with a Frappuccino. Welcome back from California, dude. You're back in the south. Doesn't even keep up with busting with the boys and wants to tell us about a quote that we made.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Well, technically, since I've, you know, I heard the quote. He goes, oh, he was on Deadspin. Read the Deadspin article. Got a train already. He finally read a train already on this podcast, dude. Yeah. We make him read it. Wouldn't be a bus with the boys' podcast without a train going by.
Starting point is 00:10:04 We make him read it out loud. Damn. Like a seventh grader in middle school getting called on in the class and figures out. Rabel expressed his willingness to castrate himself in exchange for a Lombardi trophy as a guest on busing with the boy. Oh, yeah. Dude.
Starting point is 00:10:22 I met how y'all played me into that, by the way. You know. You could have just told me. No, we didn't want to tell you, like, number one, the boys. A lot of that has to do with us in the hot tub scene and stuff. Wow. And you're supposed to be like. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Whoa. A lot of that's due with us in the hot tub together, man. Yeah, but for real, though, that is the truth. But it's like, so obviously you don't listen to the podcast. I listen. Are you subscribed? I'm not subscribed. Pull out your phone right now.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Oh, my goodness. This is bullshit. How do I just? I don't even know. If you listen, then you should be. I've been in California. Can you blame me? No, because you follow.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Like, you follow the boy. Like, you follow us individually, and you know, we post about it. Is it on a podcast? Yeah, hit that. Hit that. Purple app of podcasts. Apple Podcasts. You listen to Skip and Shannon.
Starting point is 00:11:08 I do. Go to search. All right. Oh, my God. He doesn't even have it on there. Hit Bustin. Busting with the, oh, wow. Bussing with the boys.
Starting point is 00:11:16 That's popped up. Hit that album cover. Hit subscribe. Scroll down. Scroll down. Rate five stars. Leave a review. I'm not looking at review.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I want you to leave a review and say, boys, I'm so sorry for being disrespectful on your podcast. This is my favorite podcast. I'm going to make it up. I'm going to make it up on the podcast itself. I'm not much of a... Don't backpedal. Like, leave a review type of guy.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Like, I use Yelp and everything, but I never really leave a review. Don't you feel like you should, though? I don't review shit. Who really, who leaves the reviews? Think about it. Keyboard Warriors? And fans. Loyal fans.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Good puppies out there, dude. So if you tried a new restaurant, you found on Yelp, you're going to, oh, damn, like, that was some good food. No, but I do lean on, like, for. the reviews. Like if I see a restaurant, I scroll down, I see it's rated highly. I'll read a couple of the reviews to really get me bought in. I don't leave the reviews. If I'm in a town, I don't know, I definitely do that. If I go to New York and I'm like, you know, I'm feeling some
Starting point is 00:12:18 sushi, I'll look up, like, best sushi places around me. Yeah. But I never read the reviews. I just look at the stars. I look at the stars. Yeah. I'll never read the video. Or if I'm trying to get on sold on, I'll just tell Charles, I'm like, hey, this person's really verified on the Yelp reviews. So we can trust them. Some of the reviews, like, it'd be like two reviews and five stars, you can't really trust that. You got to go off the I go off the pictures and like...
Starting point is 00:12:39 You would be a picture guy. Yeah, of course. Like a pop-up book kind of reader too. 100%. Man. And you got to look at the pictures before you like... But check this out. If you see five-star rated review or five-star rated or four and a half stars, you look
Starting point is 00:12:52 on the side and it says like 800 and something reviews. If it's only got like below 20 reviews, I don't trust it as much. If it's got over like a hundred or a few hundred reviews, I'm like, yo, this spot's the real deal. We got over, we have over 800 reviews. Yeah, on our pod. We do. Way to bring that back out. How many of y'all done so far?
Starting point is 00:13:11 I mean, we got... We haven't done nine, I believe. Yeah, we've done a bunch. Like, the thing is, is, like, we this past week, we've done a whole bunch to backload for the season because in the season,
Starting point is 00:13:19 I'm not doing anything. Yeah. Taylor and I have wheeled and deal. Like, how many this week? Like 10, 12? We've legit done 10 this week, right, Aaron? So far. Yeah, we've got a few more before camp starts.
Starting point is 00:13:28 We're just smacking them around, dude. The thing is, we enjoy doing it, so it's super easy. Not is fun. It's fun. I did a podcast a couple days ago I saw that. That was fine. Did you plug us?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Do you say my boys got a pod? I actually did. I actually did. I swear I did. I don't know if it was on the air. Did the pod come out yet? No, I think it's going to come out during season. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:49 So they did a pre-tape like we're doing right now? Yeah. And when you have a good game, they'll probably air it. Hopefully. That's what that's a probably. Speeding at good games, dude, 75 Madden? Trash. How mad are you?
Starting point is 00:14:00 Respect, dude. Oh, I made my own little little video too. It's going to come out soon on, uh, Man, man, it's going to come out soon. Hang on, hang on. This is where you got to follow up. Where can they see this video? On your Instagram? It should be coming out in a couple weeks.
Starting point is 00:14:15 On what platform? On an uninterrupted platform. Okay. Yeah. And probably also on your Instagram, which is people can find you at. Jayon Brown 12. Instagram and Twitter. You're killing it so far, dude.
Starting point is 00:14:29 I appreciate it. You spilled on our bus, too. I looked over there. You spilled on the bus. I didn't feel nothing, dude. That's your. that's your frappuccina that's the responsibility. You brought that on the bus. Taylor, I love how he looked at it as was like, you're like, what are you drinking a frapuccino? Like, you were trying to trip at him, but he's like,
Starting point is 00:14:43 he didn't know it and innocently, oh yeah, you know, I had to get going this morning. He's like, I had to take one of these every day out in Cali. Like, yo, it's whipped cream and ice cream and a little like caffeine. That's really what it is. Usually I don't get the whipped cream is the best part of your lactose. I, exactly. That's why I don't get the, I'm going to be the Hey, we got the boys in the back staring at that frappuccino right now. Thank you. You look at the thing. Prapchino? A pretzio is so. A It's just so good, dude. It actually is really good, but
Starting point is 00:15:07 can't be drinking it, dude. You say you're just drinking in private. How do you really feel about that man rating, though? Yeah, you got, like, give us your piece, dude. We'll watch the video. Can we pull up, like, the whole statistics? Yeah, bring them all up. Bring up a Jam Brown's Madden rating.
Starting point is 00:15:22 It's so just a step. Or type in Madden ratings 20. I've set my piece plenty on the show. They did, they're little key disrespect to the whole team. They, oh, what were you? What were you? You shot us up. I don't know, I didn't check.
Starting point is 00:15:38 I think I was a B plus 87. Are you 87? That's cool. That's cool. Yeah, Quentin Nelson, dude, I was in 87. I was in 81. Hey. Wait, didn't you, wait, you made,
Starting point is 00:15:48 I was a 21st for your tackle. Pro Bowl. You used an 87? Don't you think you should be at least to be a 90 from all that? Oh, man, I'm a young buck, you know? Yeah, yeah. Yo, Q, 801.
Starting point is 00:15:59 81. I'll be kind of. There's a mic right there. Q, 81, and he's not even the highest on the Titans. As an O lineman. Oh, wow. Oh, shit. Wait.
Starting point is 00:16:07 Who is? Saffold. Roger Saffold. Okay. He's awesome. He's a good player, for sure. Yeah. That's Geron Brown.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Close. Jayon. Wow, he really thought. Yeah, Aaron doesn't give a fuck about football. You can just tell the way he typed shit out. I typed it. He's like, what's his name? Jayon.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yeah, yeah. He's like, Jayon. First of all, let's hear. Can we get an update on my pitcher? Yeah, you've got the dreads in the back. That's your own fault, though. That is not my own. Yeah, you did because you had that picture.
Starting point is 00:16:37 I love money. So my guy here is a 75 overall. And then your awareness is 83. Your speed is 87. They helped you on awareness. Your acceleration is 88. Your agility is 81. Your strength is 74, which is about right.
Starting point is 00:16:54 What's, um... Your agility can be better, 81. I would give you a little more on that. Yeah, you're a quick, you're a quick fast dude. I would go 74. How do you get the rest of them? Like, where's like everything else? Is that it?
Starting point is 00:17:04 You can probably look at more. Just hit the plus side. hit the plus sign. I feel like I'm stronger than a 74. No, go hit the X. Please hit the X. Go up to Jayons. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:15 A 74 strength? That's like... I don't know what any of this means. Jumping. Hit some of the other links, Aaron. Yeah. Or that arrow, that red arrow. He hit the red arrow on the right.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Oh, God, this is painful to watch. There we go. We're getting somewhere. There we go. Oh. All right. So awareness, I'll give you in the 70s. speed is solid acceleration is solid agility i'd give you more on that what is that what is that
Starting point is 00:17:43 elusiveness i believe so that's running that's running back that's running back stuff those are running backs why would that even be a thing for him you're catching that's bullshit you're catching that's bullshit you're catching needs to be i'd say 80 or i'll give you you can get 77 70 as a linebacker because you got to take into consideration that wide receivers are probably at like 80 i feel like yeah yeah you know what i mean like you got you got to solid hands for sure. What's SFA? Because you're 39.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Stiff arm. All right. What's the SPM? Keep going. Hit the arrow. Hit the arrow. Jumping. That's about right.
Starting point is 00:18:21 I never really had hops. Okay. You never had hops? Never. Never really had hops. All right. What was your, what was your? You look at his short.
Starting point is 00:18:26 Hey. I think it was like 30, 32 or 34. That's solid. I feel like it's a media. I would give you. I would say maybe just 80 because you're black. You know what I mean? Like white guys.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Like me. I would go upper 70s. Pure athleticism. Yeah. Look at a short area, a short, what is that, short area accuracy?
Starting point is 00:18:44 Is that like quarterback? That's quarterback. Keep in the arrow. Aaron definitely does not play Madden. Tackle 81. Here we go. What do we got here? That's disrespectful for tackling.
Starting point is 00:18:53 What's IBL? I don't miss a lot of tackles. Hover the pointer over the IBL. Hit it. What is that? Impact blocking rating. Oh, wow. So you can block.
Starting point is 00:19:06 That's a solid. Your block is pretty solid. You're tackling is 81. How do you feel about that? That is Bush League. Yeah, that's terrible, I feel like. You're a good tackler. Yeah, you're a solid tacklers.
Starting point is 00:19:16 87 at the minimum should be tackling. That's like what I do. What do you have? So coverage is a 70. Disrespect. Hey, you're pass rushing. You're your pass rushing. I would say that's solid.
Starting point is 00:19:26 42. Wait, wait, wait, wait, go back. Come on, Aaron. What was the pass rushing? BSH is block shedding, 70. Go back to the past rush. I would agree with that. Pass rush is right here.
Starting point is 00:19:34 42. No, you're past rushing. No, no, that's press coverage. There's no choice. FMV. FNV is Fenest moves. That should be, you know. No, I know. That's what I'm laughing about.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Hey, we'll be there watching film and Jayon, he'll have kind of like the same move and they want him to like work on his hips and stuff. He's like, Jayon's like, what do you want me to do here? Guys are like, I'm finesse, baby. Coach is looking at him like, yo, what? He's like, I'm finesse, man, I'm finesse. I was number one in past fishing
Starting point is 00:19:59 as a linebacker. There's no chance that. I'll tell you what, though. I know, and you're referring to PFF. A hundred percent. But when PFF doesn't play in your favor, you want to shit on PFF. I'll tell you know what I mean. It's like hard to... But the NFL kind of goes by that.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Three years ago, I was rated the number one tackle on PFF, and I said that then I'll say it now. There's no way they know. Yeah, it's Fugazi. That's what I do. Like, how to grade each and every player that has a different, like, set of rules, different playbook. Before I don't know how they grade people.
Starting point is 00:20:29 The offense we run now, before we got this offense, I would have understood how to grade it, not being in it. Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Dennis Kelly said he had a dude on the Eagles. his brother went to become a, like, try to work with PFF. He, like, emailed them. He's like, I love what you guys are doing.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Like, I want to be a part of it. And they emailed them back. He's like, all right, well, what's your, what's your level, football level of experience? He's like, oh, I played JV football. And they emailed them back and said, well, all right, grade all these games and give us your grades. And that was it. And he was, he worked with PFF. And, I mean, that was like five, six years ago.
Starting point is 00:21:02 But I don't know what they're doing now. But a lot of those guys, I think Colin Coward. Yeah. And I think some of those dudes are like heavily invested in it. Right. It gets pubbed up super hot. There's an agenda. There's definitely an agenda.
Starting point is 00:21:13 There's always an agenda. Some propaganda going on. And I'm saying, I said that back when I was highly rated. I'm like 15th tackle this past year or whatever. Yeah. Man coverage, 65. That can be a little better. They can help you out on that for sure.
Starting point is 00:21:25 That's what I do. But what would you rate yourself? As man coverage? Yes. I'll put myself in probably like a, I would say 80. 80? Yeah. I could maybe.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Maybe get on board with that. I would say 78, 77. Here's why. Here's why. Because man coverage, like, that's reserved for, like, rating DB. So if you have a DB that's like a 70-something overall, his man coverage is probably an 80. And he's probably a better cover guy than you. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:21:51 Like, if you're out there on an island. But I would, I would rate you probably one of the better man coverage linebackers. I would like to see who else was rated that way. You know, I had no idea. There's just many stats. There's a lot, dude. They put a lot into a zone. I've been on the island a couple times.
Starting point is 00:22:03 You have, no doubt. For sure. Like, I wasn't trying to say that in a tripping one. I'm just playing devil's advocate. Hit the, hit the, what do we have here? Press coverage, 81? Hey, that's solid. That is smooth.
Starting point is 00:22:15 I'll give you some. Press coverage people, though. Running back, you know, line up at number one receiver and go out there press. Yeah, I didn't know that. I know that's how it works at all. I don't have to play left. Tate. Oh.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Hey, your pursuit 84, solid. That's probably open field, I would assume. Yeah. your stamina 87 injury 90 that's solid so it's not it's not a 75 is what's bullshit the stuff that makes me a linebacker is very well that's what it is yeah yeah tackling like tackling what they say your tackling was 80 80 81 I think it was it was trash yeah you're going you're going to year what you're three
Starting point is 00:22:54 year so but coming off his best year yeah well yeah there's only been too well um like let's not pretend like the dudes man you know what I'm saying his best one yet. Well, I'd hope so. You usually doesn't go as well as it looks like. Do you think, do you, like playing for the Titans? I was trying to pub you. Honestly, do you think that like we don't get enough love because we're in the smallest media market?
Starting point is 00:23:15 We're not really talked about. People don't want to give a shit about the Titans outside of Nashville. Yeah, 100%. You think so? Yeah. Like there's not many, like when I go back home on the West Coast, there's not many Titans no. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:26 It's for short growing. It's definitely, dude, it actually is growing. Yeah. When I first got here, we were two and 14, three and 13. and like I'm not joking told someone I got drafted by the Titans and they're like oh is that arena is or is that I swear to God that that's not even a joke do you swing on him no no I just told him I was like it's the NFL man but the thing is like Titans are making a little comeback though you know it's crazy the my rookie year we made the playoffs and when we almost made the AFC championship we almost well not almost we went to the second round the second round so killed by the Patriots yeah started off hot That first quarter was solid. Oh, man. It was amazing.
Starting point is 00:24:06 So I go back home that off season, and, like, people were still like, yeah, Titan suck. Oh, come by, man. Like, we made the playoffs, too. Like, oh, you did? It's like, we're just not. That's just crazy. Yeah, it just goes over. I feel like in the AFC, even the NFC, there's like those main teams.
Starting point is 00:24:21 You got the Patriots, the Steelers, like, teams like that, the Chiefs. Chiefs now. Chargers. You know, you always are the. Broncos, but like they were, the last couple years, they haven't been, they won the Super Bowl less five years ago, so they're going to get love for sure. Yeah. But I'm saying all those teams are really good. I don't mean any disrespect by that, but I'm saying like the NFL will grab a team and just like the NFL like networks will just pub them and make them huge.
Starting point is 00:24:52 You know what I'm saying? And then all of a sudden, I mean, if someone's on TV more, like in the 90s, the Cowboys are on TV all the time. Now they're America's team. I mean, and they have so much level everywhere. They have an incredible amount of support. We just need to get into the point where we play well enough to where we start getting those main games. When we get in those Thursday nights, those Monday nights and Sunday nights, you win those games, and that's how we, that's how we do it.
Starting point is 00:25:12 And then it translates to better Madden ratings. Yeah, and then it translates to better Madden ratings. Exactly. Dude, they're smart though, man. Like, there's definitely trolling. There's definitely trolling that goes on. Like, I mean, 81 is... They troll... They don't have to market that we do it for and we're doing it right now for them.
Starting point is 00:25:28 People are going to talk about it. Like, you made video, you immediately want to, we all want to tweet about our matter. race, like, they know what they're doing. They know how to kind of chirp and troll, like, I'm sure they sit back and see anything in the media and they know what they're doing, man. I see Tyra Matthew, dude, he's tweeting about everybody. He's tweeting about Deshawn Watson. He's tweeting about Kevin Byard.
Starting point is 00:25:48 He's tweeting about everyone. They don't have to market. Everybody, we all do it for them. This is people, egos are so huge in the NFL. Huge, when you're, like, with egos, if you just spice a little thing up, like that old thing with me and Big Cat, which we got over, right? Yeah. Because I apologized.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Because we apologized. Nothing. That's it. We're only going to say no more. I love that you asked that question, too. Yeah, I love it. It's over. It's done.
Starting point is 00:26:13 That's good. He's like, you know, how confident and secure our football players? I don't know. Wait for a Madden rating to come out and you'll see how secure they are. Just so insecure. Like, yeah, what the f? I'm way better than that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Bro. It's like, dude, I hate it when people, like, tweet. me like you gave up three sacks in my game it's like okay i do not care at all about what you because i don't play the game i don't only play video games like that but i don't know i tell you what though i think football players not just football players all athletes really athletes artists and musicians are so like incredibly insecure can be because they've been crutched through a whole entire life of like hey you're such a great football player you're so good at this you're so good at that like you hang your hat on one thing you don't get a different
Starting point is 00:26:59 develop those other things as fast as maybe other people do? I don't know, man. I think we can develop certain skills and things like mentally that we might have a head start on for people that kind of just go through and don't play sports and anything like that. Because, yeah, I mean, we get kind of cradled sometimes. But now when you first get to campus, now when you're first playing like varsity and football, not when you're like trying to come to the ranks and your parents are hard on you because they know you're good.
Starting point is 00:27:25 And then when you first get in the NFL as like a rookie, you know what I mean? Like, I think there's some, I don't know about fully. I see what you're saying. Like, playing a pathway for like, being, like, like, playing sports, man, and playing in a, like, all we do every day, athletes, it's just what have you done for me lately? And you live in that world. So you're constantly like the human element takes over where you're kind of like,
Starting point is 00:27:45 that insecurity comes out because you're human. But like, you're, we've lived in a performance-based world on a daily basis forever. Like Taylor and I, when we're doing the pot and we're working with different people. Like, we're learning, we're learning how. we have to coexist and manage people a little better than the way we're used to it because we're used to being shit on in front of your team. We're used to just everybody being hard on us and we have to get over it in an instant. When you have a bad play and people, we're all on you on the sideline like, YoJ,
Starting point is 00:28:13 on move, you know, because you're young again, right? Yeah. And you're kind of going over and Wes is around you. We're all around you. Kind of corral. And like there's different factors, bro. I think there's a lot that plays into that we get to go through that other people don't. Like they might just go through maybe their parents wall or maybe they make their own way in college.
Starting point is 00:28:27 And then they get to the real world and they're kind of finding that, yo, it's not, you know, let me hold your hand. It's, you know, you better fucking do this or you're fired. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah, no, I definitely get what you're saying. There's the development of a human being playing sports is so good in so many different ways. Teaching a kid, you know, how to how to be a teammate.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Like being a teammate to somebody, being a good teammate is not just something you would do in football. It would be something if you were to get married, how you would handle the people and stuff like that. All those things, those definitely correlate to the rest of the world. Hard work ethic is huge. Organization, like understanding, breaking down things, whether it's learning, you know, defensive coverages, or I learn past, like, you know, past protections and stuff like that. Those things all break down and translate into the real world.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Well, the things I'm talking about is, like, we get crippled in such a way, like, like you said, when we work with, like, other people and we're doing this, like, if you send me something on social media or you send me a text, I'll just be like that's stupid or that's rap But there's really nothing in between There's no gray area Jay I went to like a nice little high school
Starting point is 00:29:32 Yeah you you're privileged Oh and I went whoa What you're privileged Long Beach Polly is not a like It's a nice school don't get me wrong You're one of the few privileged black guys out there You're capping right now What does that mean?
Starting point is 00:29:44 Capping it is Kevin I'll say it's like You're not telling truth Pretty much like you're over emphasizing the truth Did you go to a A financially solid high school.
Starting point is 00:29:58 Did you go to a rich high school? No, not at all. Didn't you guys have pink jerseys? Didn't you guys have different unis? Yeah, yeah, we're like one of Alternate uniform. It's like $40,000 for a uniform. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:08 We were like Adidas like Experiment School. Like when all that. So you're sponsored by Adidas. When I was in high school, yeah. So they like through us. We're not right now. No, it was right now.
Starting point is 00:30:19 Wasn't it? Probably. Like we came from the schools that your head coach would bring you guys in and be like, he'd be looking at the East Bay magazine and hey guys which jerseys do we want yeah yeah yeah yeah you're sponsored by adidas that's the first iDITA that's the first adidas and so we're not capping is what i'm saying you know you're capped like i didn't go to no like the private schools in and like you know los angers county like those they're nuts like they look like you know some good like
Starting point is 00:30:44 mini city colleges yeah yours probably looks like a little mini city college no it's not that nice they just redid their uh football field they got like all turf so that's really nice so that's expensive school the first school I went to was like, first school I went to was like, we were sharing helmets out there. Oh, it was disgusting. It wasn't great. What was the first face mask that you had in a football? Damn, I don't even know. Did you have a butt cage? What cage? Like the booty cage. I think I'd, a butt cage. Oh, I hear it. Look up, uh, look up Teirleuan freshman year. This is the Therlewan high school.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Because I, I rocked that, I rocked that, um, what was the Revo? My senior year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, yeah, you're, you're. a fucking stud. But before I was walking like Tom Brady from two years ago. That basic ass element? Yeah, I was walking the basic boy. So this, yeah, the school with the white jersey, that's the school of chance to you.
Starting point is 00:31:37 That's like the richest school in Arizona. Like kids were going to school in like Benz's. Really? MWs. Yeah, and I was walking a 94-4 tourist dude. I called it the Clit Torres. I did. I called it the Clit Torres. I was a Clit commander, dude. Did you have a training staff at your high school? We had a
Starting point is 00:31:53 like by training stuff Like what do you mean? Did you have like a PT there like an athletic trainer? So we had like it was always like an athletic trainer from like Long Beach City College or no Long Beach State College And like they'll be they'll be like the head person And then everybody under one would be like high school kids Or it'd be like two college kids
Starting point is 00:32:12 You know what I mean? When you, we had to wrap the same But why did you decide to you to UCLA? I know it wasn't the uniforms No, it wasn't big recruit out of high. high school only had three offers UCLA. The first one was Colorado, and then the next was Colorado State and you know,
Starting point is 00:32:29 I got, I got those like back to back. I'm like, oh, they're all to start pouring in. Yeah, Boulder was sick. Boulder is a, and I remember I went to, I went to Boulder. They had a, like a football camp down in San Diego. I went down there and it was like, I was about to commit. I had it like in my head. I was like about to get in down there.
Starting point is 00:32:49 And I went down there and you know how they like, you know, like, you know, the like the kids with scholarship like so you're not doing shit like you just chill them on the sideline yeah yeah watching like I'm not about to do it and uh so I'm going down there talking to the coach and he's like I'm talking some bullshit like
Starting point is 00:33:04 yeah we don't know what position you'll play like you're kind of small you're like you're kind of too small for linebacker and like you're more of a safety size because you don't have a lot of weight and I'm like what you're like what you're talking about right now like so I didn't just get a good vibe from him and I was like
Starting point is 00:33:21 I was like yeah Yeah, like I'm over y'all. Damn. Bullard was out the question. And then there's zero chance I was going to Colorado State. So now there's only one left. There's, yeah. And well, I didn't have that until the, like, after my first high school senior,
Starting point is 00:33:40 that game, I got to UCLA and I was like. You were going there, no doubt. Lock that thing out. How do you like playing for Vrab? Brab's cool. You know how he was with me that first year. Does he still calling you a lot in the squad? meeting.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Man, yeah, bro. And you know me, like, it'll be, what was he asking me? Like, like, why do we, why do we, call a weakside bunch, Weekside B?
Starting point is 00:34:07 That, that stuff. Like, it's always one thing, and he'll keep answer me the question. I like, and I'll mess it up in some type of way. Yeah. Like, I'll give him the right answer, but if it's not his answer, it's wrong. So it's cool, though.
Starting point is 00:34:18 It's for sure. It's mellowed out a little bit from a lot, actually, from what it was. was last year. So we're making, we're making, making baby strides. Yeah. How's the, how's the LB room? It's not the same without you, man. It's not the same without you. Like, you know, ties, Ties having fun. We're all having fun in there. But it's probably better for it. It's probably now that he's in his second year too. Yeah. He's probably hitting a better strides. Just miss, you know, miss their remarks in there, man. Just a little comments on side comments.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Oh, man. Yeah, it's not the same, bro. Well, it knows by the time this drops, maybe I'll be back with the boys again. But maybe I'll be somewhere else. It will all be rooting for each other. Oh, yeah, no doubt. You know, I still got your card in my locker. Oh, the football card? It's right there.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Love that. You got a will-combin football card? I got a well-compton football car. But it's... Hey, birthday's coming up. All right, bro. Thanks for coming on, man. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:35:12 You have fun? I had a blast. You better boost this thing, too. Make up for not knowing we're incredible... I just described. I'm posting on Instagram and all that. Exciting stuff. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Wait, can you guys tell me how that conversation went? Before I listen to it. It's actually super easy for us to tell you I went, just go and subscribe to Boston with the boys and go look up our video episode with Mike Rable. And he sets right there and he was so disrespectful the way he put his feet up right here.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Like, you know I put my feet up like this? He came in where I couldn't put my feet up. He's like, hey, daddy's really homeboy. Yeah, yeah. You know he gets with me all the time. I'm always saying that dad stuff around me. It was fun though. He's a rad cat for sure.
Starting point is 00:35:51 No, it looked like. a blast though for sure i wish i could have sat in on that one it was hilarious it was like it was you could by just listening yeah would you cut your meat off for a super bowl would i cut my meat off for a super bowl yeah now i feel like i can win one like normally so sure what if there's no what if there's no chance of you winning one without cutting your meat off do i get like like like like kent like kent it off yeah like you're a kendall yeah like in game of thrones you're like the unsullies yeah that ain't happen yeah that's fair i'm the same Yeah, I need it.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Quentin's right there. What if you knew you were going to win three Super Bowls in a row and be the MVP of two of them? I haven't. Like, I need kids. Okay, that was just a question. Yeah, yeah. Are you single? Yep.
Starting point is 00:36:35 Ladies and gentlemen, if you're out there and you're looking at my boy Gianne Brown. Pulling up. Like, ooh, what a good looking little chuffin. Hey, Dillin's sliding the old DMs. You know what? Go to Taylor DMs first and then he's going to do the qualification test and then I'll send it over. Yeah, so slide in my DMs and me and my wife, so don't get any idea. we'll look it over
Starting point is 00:36:53 and we'll pick out the best ones for jam They know me pretty well So 75% dark chocolate Oh yeah Talk to him will Talk to him What the fuck?
Starting point is 00:37:03 He said Yeah yeah Talk to him Okay hang on Hang on Let me try again Would you kick Taylor's two year old

Starting point is 00:37:19 You're talking about the bean Yeah This is your You're a response. The two people outside of me and my wife that love the bean are here in this bus. You and you. Quentin Nelson, J.M. Brown, love the fucking bean. I love the fucking.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Oh, hang on. What's that? You always, uh, the only, every time I think about you and the bean, she always looks at you and goes, uh, she'd be like, because you can't really talk. And we'll be like, look at her and go, no, will. Like, like, yo, she's one. Like, give her some time. So disrespectful to my daughter, dear.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Dude, I love the bean, man. I feel super disrespectful to my life in general, but... Hey, Dave, you know I'm dope to the bean. She always gets me everything, dude. We have a good little relationship. The thing what the bean is, dude, is there's no way to hate the bean. She's the most rad kid of all time. She's a stud, man.
