Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Your husband is not who you think he is.
Your body is not what you thought it was.
Your identity is formed by a secret history.
I'm Danny Shapiro, and these are just a few of the stunning stories I'll be exploring
on the 14th season of Family Secrets.
He kind of shoved me out of the way and said, move.
And he went out the front door and he jumped in a car and drove off, and that was the last
time I saw him.
Listen to Season 14 of Family Secrets on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcast.
You're busting with the boys.
Are we busting yet?
Yeah, we're busting.
This is it.
We're busting right now.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages, welcome to bussing with the boys.
A couple quick updates.
Yes, our podcast is going very well.
Could it go better?
Absolutely.
So let's do us all a favor.
And I need you to go on Twitter and Instagram and put in the little search column and go to Buston, WTB.
I need you click follow.
And maybe just tweeted us or maybe Instagram post us.
You never know.
guess what?
We're not big enough of a business to where me and Will don't see everything you guys say, okay?
The hurtful things, the helpful things, and everything in between.
Okay?
So get ahead.
Send it.
I promise we're going to see it.
And if we don't respond to you, take it personally because I definitely saw it.
All right, that's one thing.
The other thing you need to do is go on Facebook.
And what's the other deal we got?
Forget Facebook.
Tell them to pull their cars over right now.
If you're driving on the highway, park under the bridge.
Get over there.
Pretend it's hailing and you need to pull over under the bridge.
Oh, no.
pull out your Apple Podcasts.
Boom.
Or Spotify.
Or whatever platform you're on.
Go to Bustin with the boys.
Hit the subscribe.
If you're already subscribed, just hit on subscribers and subscribe.
Who gives a shit?
Because that's the shitty way to become a good podcast.
And we're not above that.
All right?
And hit that five star and leave funny-ass reviews or shit on it.
It's like just have fun, dude.
Opinions are like assholes.
Everyone's got one.
So what you need to do is give us your asshole opinion, dude.
Honestly, there's nothing better than a waking up.
the morning on a Monday afternoon after you played like shit and looking at all the hateful,
hurtful tweets.
And just punish yourself.
And then you drink a lot of tequila and then you go into your room.
You turn off all lights when it gets dark.
You light the candles.
You pull out a quill and a pen and you write freehand poetry.
And then you cry to sleep and you wake up the next day and you say, we got to be better next week.
And that's what I need you to do for me.
All right?
I need you to make me better by coming and saying the thing you hate most about Will and the thing
you love most about Will and also do that for me too.
I'm just kidding.
We're both in this together.
We have a dog here.
YouTube as well.
So YouTube is going to be buss in W-TB or bussing with the boys?
Bussing with the boys on the YouTube channel.
And so you're probably there like Taylor, this is your podcast.
You probably should know what's going on.
Literally, dude, here's the deal.
You're probably wondering, you're probably thinking, how much do I put into this?
Dude, I literally show up and talk.
All right.
Everyone else, the guy's behind the cameras, they do everything.
All right, Zach does everything.
Matt does everything.
Our production crew does everything.
Another thing we need to talk about today, folks.
Merchandise.
Okay.
Whoops.
Yep.
That was it.
Thank you for killing my punchline, Will.
You dick.
Oops de dais.
That's what we call on the podcast is interrupting somebody.
We'll talk about this in a little bit, but what we really need to talk about right now is merchandise.
And the thing we're going to talk about later is how disrespectful my friend Will is.
He has been like the last three days, just like I can't even be around the guy.
He's so disrespectful.
I just want to make him bite the curb.
dude and just American history exes
back of his head. You know what I'm saying?
For those you haven't seen that movie, it's
just don't, it's a good movie, so go ahead and see
it. But anyway, those of you that said, probably wouldn't
that's a good reference, Taylor, if you really actually
want to kill Will.
Merchandise. So you can go on our website.
It's Bustinwtb.com.
Yes.
Busenwtb.com. We've got some merch up there.
There's T-shirts. There's coosies.
And that's what a lot of podcasts have. But what else do
we have? You look behind me? What do you see?
Is that a neon sign? Yes, it is.
That's a total of a question.
These are for sale on the merchandise.
You're thinking, I'm a boy.
I'm a puppy.
I want to be a part of something special.
I want to take pictures of myself and send it to boys because they ask us really nicely on Instagram to please send us stuff.
I'm going to get this neon sign and I'm going to put it behind me.
And then, look at me.
I'm Will Compton.
I'm a boy.
I'm a little puppy.
Just like this little puppy way we're here.
This is our guest.
Go ahead.
Look at the little guy there.
Dude.
Haggered.
Named after Merle Haggard.
Why?
Because we try to be cool.
It is not working out too well.
Anyway, those things are for sale on the merch day.
I think the first topic we need to talk about.
Regal Realty Group.
It's our first one.
You can find them at regalrg.com.
It's real estate done differently, guys.
And let me explain that a little bit.
Our guy, Hunter Briley, here's his personal and please blow it up,
especially if you're looking for anything real estate in Nashville, guys.
Hunter Briley, his personal is 615-630-9735.
his office is 615-483-0856 it's the regal realty group hunter bryly he's trying to find he's trying to find a home for the bus guys
he's trying to take care of everybody the guy wheels and deals and he he he is all about i've sat down with him
i've looked him face to face right in his gorgeous eyes and it's all about relationships we're trying to
carry he he he likes to take care of people and he bends over backwards trying to tell me i all i want is to
take care of people who work with me, who work closely with me.
I try to make it a long-term thing.
I want people to know that they can trust me.
And guys, I'm telling you, Regal Realty Group, Hunter Briley, please hit his ass up.
So thank you very much.
Enjoy the pod, guys.
It's a banger today.
So there's this thing I was looking up online.
I actually tweeted about it the other day.
My wife called me.
Hold on.
Taylorin.
So word on the street is that the Tennessee Police Department warns about meth gaiters.
Oh, yeah.
We've got to figure that out.
What is the, what's, what's the premise behind the meth gators, dude?
They, they warned us about meth gators, dude.
This is, this is like a cartoon.
Like, people in, like, you know the old story?
Like, you flush, like, a, a fish down the toilet and the sewers or, God damn it, Will.
This is what I'm talking about being so disrespectful.
Dude, sometimes I got to chime in.
But let me finish a thought.
It's not even a finish a thought.
It's finish a book, a Harry Potter book.
And how well did those sell?
Yeah.
Okay.
Nice rebuttal.
Yep.
This is like, I've already lost my points.
Flushing, no, you're flushing down the toilet.
In New York, they talk about all the time.
Don't flush the lizard down the toilet.
Don't flush the fish down the toilet.
They go in the sewers.
They become toxic like teenage mutant ninja turtles,
but they have a chip on their shoulder
because they've been flush on the toilet.
And if you've ever been flushed on the toilet,
I've gotten a swirley when I was a little kid
and I didn't enjoy it.
And I get pissed.
All right?
And now I'm a toxic goldfish.
That's now 700,
pounds, dude, and I've adapted feet, and now we're in Futurama.
But anyway, Tennessee Police Department warns about meth gators due to flushing drugs down the toilet.
What?
So over here, it says a Middle Tennessee police department is warning people about flushing drugs down the toilet, saying fowls and gators on meth are possible.
That's a real thing.
Gators on meth.
Gators on meth.
So basically what they're saying is, if you're in Tennessee,
you flush in the toilet, they go to these treatment ponds.
In these treatment ponds in Alabama, there are gators, gators that will eat these things.
There's meth that's probably in a plastic bag because no one has ever nice enough to just, you know, like, push it out of the bag.
They actually have to flush the whole bag.
The gators will eat this.
And now, gators are already terrifying.
All right, we've seen the things in Disneyland where dogs are getting snatched up, people are getting snatched up.
Imagine that kind of issue.
if we are dealing with gators on meth.
All right?
No one is safe, dude.
Gators are already dinosaurs.
Are they like zombie gators?
No, they're meth-head gators.
Right, but what is the attitude when a gators on fucking meth?
Do you remember...
Like, I know where I grew up, number three, county one time for meth in America.
Really?
Yeah, we would go to these hauntlet.
Yeah, claim the fame.
We would quote, unquote, what are these haunted places?
And we would break in these abandoned buildings sometimes.
and you would find these meth labs that were abandoned.
So being around people of like the the meth category is like we got somebody right here on the screen right now.
Like methods are fucking out of their mind.
Is there any way we could patch this through, dude?
We better be able to.
Just from that alone, I was like, man, maybe Jay Z.
Cabo Cont at the time somebody else and they liked him.
Who's this guy talking?
Yeah, yeah.
You have over.
Hey, stop that, Zach.
That was terrible.
Better suited, dude.
We're so fired, dude.
Our production company has already fired.
That's actually Zach back there.
Zach's fired.
He doesn't even make a dollar, dude, and he's already fired.
Here's, number one, I don't know what was going on with that whole thing.
But that meth, dude,
he looked, he had some rhythm when he was talking, though.
I'm not going to lie.
He had a little, he had a little bounce to him.
They got a weird twitch to him.
Look at that.
Get it back.
Sway back.
Ew, with the smile, my baby.
Trying to that pretty smile again.
Wow.
We have, man.
Hey, ooh.
Did you imagine a gator on that shit, dude?
Dude.
The, the, the treat, the, the, the treatment.
Now you pause, Zach.
Pause this video.
Dude.
God, damn.
So the treatment center also had a comment saying the following, ducks, geese, and other fowl frequent our treatment ponds.
And we shuddered to think what one all hyped up on meth would do.
And that's just talking about duck and geese.
Did you have a fucking gator coming out of the water?
On meth, dude.
Your dog outside?
Oh, my dog's dead.
Haggard, I love you to...
Hey, get your ass back!
Hey!
Dude, that would be a terrifying thing.
But, like, I've learned a lot of things this week.
What was...
What was it the thing you were telling me about ducks?
Dude, these fucking...
These ducks, bro.
Male ducks,
the sentence was, are prolific gang rapists on Instagram.
And I just saw this helpless female duck
getting destroyed by a...
gang of ducks like male ducks from what they say is it says that male ducks have a corkscrew penis
that they use as a weapon to try to impregnate a female duck that's how they reproduce so female ducks
have a vagina that is built like a maze for these corkscrew for these corkscrew weapons that male ducks have
so these male ducks are taking turns trying to penetrate them and these helpless female ducks are just
built to try and survive this gang rape.
Dude, it's insane, man.
Somebody passing in our group chat.
Fuckery Island.
Shout out, fuckery Island.
But I'm sitting there like,
yo,
could you imagine being a female duck created?
Like, hey, we're creating you to be,
to fear for your life when males are around you.
Look, here's a video right there.
These videos, look at it.
Oh, my God, this female duck.
Oh, shit, I am out.
I am out numbered.
I am out manned.
I am out gunned.
And if the thing is,
is like, yeah, if you got to do your thing,
if that's how the reproductive system and a duck works,
that's how the world,
if society of being a duck,
if that's how it is,
I guess I'll turn a blind eye to that.
But don't pecker in the back of the head, dude.
Like, look at that.
One male duck is holding the female duck down by her neck.
The other two are like, hey, good job, man.
Let me get up in that behind it.
And they are just running a fool,
flying V on this thing.
Just a quack attack.
Dude, I'll never watch the Mighty Duck.
ever again.
This is where it's based off of.
Can I see?
I hate that I'm even asking this.
Zach, can you pull up a picture of a duck's penis?
I need to see it, dude.
I got to see this duck penis, bro.
I'm so glad we get to edit the timeout.
Is that it?
Are you kidding me?
Dude, look a fucking corkscrew.
It is.
I have a corkscrew penis.
You're right.
How'd they get him?
How'd they get him excited like that?
They probably, oh, it's got a blue bill.
That's a cool-looking duck, dude.
To get a male duck excited, what do they do?
Just, like, tie a female duck down and look like scary and afraid?
He's like, oh, yeah, that's what?
Like Pulp Fiction?
Oh, my.
Look at that thing, dude.
Honestly, like, that's a big penis for a duck, I think, right?
That's a weird ratio that's going on right there.
Look at those big feet.
It's a nice piece, man.
Yeah, dude, that guy's got a serious piece on.
We got a transition out of this subject.
Holy shit.
You just go back to the video
As soon as it's over, dude
I was intently staring at that duck penis dude
And the video popped up on me of a duck eating rape dude
That is
That is way too much
Oh my god
What a weird way to start this podcast
Dude I know
It started off so well
And now we have duck rapes
We're gonna have such a great
Great character guy and Kirk Cousins coming on
And this is gonna be
This is his intro
This is his intro to call Kirk
Kirk Cucons
who's the most salt of the earth Midwest boy of all time.
Yeah, yeah.
We couldn't get him to say it.
We couldn't get him to answer a bad question.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna ask him about Michigan, Michigan State, and he didn't even, like,
I got punched in the face, and he didn't even try to protect me.
Like, he's guilty by association.
Kirk Cousins punched me in the face, dude.
It wasn't just William Golston.
When you saw that happen, Kirk, if you ever listened back to this podcast, when you saw
that happen, you were guilty by association.
dude, that's your bad that I got punched.
You were the leader of that team.
Dude, he ain't stepping in there, bro.
Pull that video up, dude.
Type in Tiro Luong gets punched by William Golson.
Dude.
We played Michigan State, and for a year,
I had this guy as the background of my phone.
Oh, I remember you tell me about that.
Yeah, followed him on Twitter,
looked at him every single day, dude,
and I beat the shit out of him that next year.
Beat the absolute shit out of him.
I mean, it's not like you were swinging and beat the shit out of him.
Like, I football beat the shit out of them.
Football, yeah.
Which is not just cool.
I footballed the shit out of this, dude.
I footballed him so hard, dude.
There it is. I'm playing left tackle.
What a grainy film, dude.
What was this, like, 1974?
Look at this.
Everything's good.
There's a penalty flag down.
Why is there a penalty fight down?
Roy Roundtree shouts.
Look at this.
It's going to show William walking away.
I've watched this video.
It's probably got, you know, 15,000 views.
I'm 14 of them.
I'll watch this like every other month.
Yep.
And he didn't even get kicked out of the game for this.
Look at him.
Dumbass.
And this is when he hits you?
Yeah.
Looks like it.
It's about to show the replay right now.
I've seen it, ready?
I got him planted on the ground and.
Oh!
Yo, look at you walking away.
Like a bitch, dude.
Hey, hey, just doing what your coach to do.
Yeah, literally before the game.
So Michigan, Michigan State, for those of you in the South, who don't understand.
It's a bitch.
but don't understand
that's a huge rivalry
and my coaches were like
hey keep your composure
make sure you keep your composure
like the entire before the game
you're a bit of a hothead
keep your composure
and so I kept my damn composure
yeah I would definitely say that
but for the rest of my life
I have to live with looking at that video
dude
we played Tampa Bay my second year
was Marcus's rookie year
and William Golson
plays for Tampa Bay
and we ran a
we ran like a play to the right
a run play to the right
and all I had to do
was have the end
was like a super easy block
and I swung at him in this play
and I missed so bad
like I blocked him I hit him in the chest
and I swung as hard as I could
like legit tried to punch him in the face
and totally missed he just moved gently to the right
and I came over the top
and he just took a little
and it was
it was nothing and he looked at me and goes
you go get fine for that
I was like I'll do whatever it takes dude
I haven't forgot a thing
I haven't forgot a thing dude
Hey, you'll say that.
We killed him, dude.
We smacked Tampa that game.
Guess what?
We went 2 and 14.
Solid first year.
Solid.
I know we went 3 and 13.
Yeah, because my first year we went 2 and 14.
Yeah, it sucks being on a shooting team.
First two years, didn't go so hot.
But yeah, Kirk cousins is coming on the pod today.
Kirk is live Minnesota.
Paid?
Paid.
Paid.
He's like the only guaranteed contract.
I think in the quarter.
Is it in the league?
I don't know if it's in the league.
I don't know because if you sign a one-year deal, isn't that guaranteed?
No, you got to run down on kickoff first.
Well, in my world, you got to run down on kickoff first.
No, you have to be on the team on Monday of week one.
Right.
But I'm saying when Kirk signed, that stuff is fully guaranteed right out of the gate.
Done.
He's like the first, like, elite, quote-unquote, elite guy to have like a fully guaranteed contract like that.
Because I want to say Jets offered him like a few million more dollars, like a lot more of a ceiling,
but not as much guarantee.
And he ended up turning that down.
going with the Vikings who fully guaranteed everything.
It's a solid deal.
We asked him about that.
We asked him about the franchise tech situation, the Redskins.
Everybody always wants to know how certain things went down there.
We asked him if he'd cut his piece off for a Super Bowl ring.
Doesn't go the way you think it does.
Yeah, we try hard, man.
We went at this dude, and he's polished.
He's a polished white quarterback.
Yeah, and just being white in the league is a feat in its own, isn't it?
Doesn't that just a...
Unless you're a quarterback, I mean, yeah, it'd probably be better to be white as a quarterback.
Why?
I mean, you know the stereotype that goes on.
If it's a black quarterback, it's like the thought is they can throw it a little bit,
but they can run in their super athletic and then get you out of weird situations.
For a white guy, you like, think, you know, there's just those stereotypes.
White guy I think he's a grinder.
Yeah, grinder, high motor, try hard.
Yeah, that's a pretty dumb stereotype.
type, but it's true. I mean, hey, most mobile
quarterbacks are black.
Yeah. And Tom Brady can't run at all.
Hey, there's a... He got that 5-740, bro.
There's a...
All right, well, we'll be back right after this with Kirk Cousins.
Oh, this is Kirk.
Kurt! How are we doing, my baby?
I'm doing really well. How are you guys?
Kirk, I'm really... I'm so disappointed.
Hey, I'm going to, Kirk, I was going to say, we want to kind of...
We need more out of you. I hope you change your attitude a little bit, and you sound a little
I'm excited.
All right.
Let me just go into character here.
All right, good.
Dude, we got a lot of things we want to ask and talk about.
Number one, you've seen the videos.
You've seen what Vrable would do for a Super Bowl.
What would you do for a Super Bowl ring?
You're young, you know, we know the answer is no.
No, I don't know.
We don't know.
You've had a kid.
Damn it.
I broke the straw on my latte, Kirk.
Damn it.
Would you cut that piece off for a Super Bowl, Kirk?
No, I can't do it
What would you do?
What extent would you go to?
I mean, give me some other things, some other options, but
Would you punch three children in the face for a Super Bowl?
Oh, my God.
Your son, your son being one of them?
I couldn't do it.
I couldn't do it.
I don't want this to become a cousin's doesn't want a Super Bowl, but at the same time, I mean.
It's starting to sound like it a little bit, honestly.
Can we all be honest?
Yeah, yeah.
I love a good would you rather, but this is just getting kind of dark.
I'll tell you what, we can go some really dark, would you rather?
Do you want a dark, would you rather?
Do you want a dark would you rather?
I don't know that I do, but I feel as to come as far.
Yeah, we have come this far, and you know your boy, you know, I'm way more, I'm way out there for you.
But if you had to choose, if you had your wife, Julie, and your mom was in her body,
and then you had your mom
and your wife was in her body
which one we can have sex with
you have to pick you have to pick
gun to your head I can't even go there
I can't even go there guys
God
dude we're trying I knew I was going to try
I'm like yo it's going to be a reach
to get Kirk to Ansel a couple of these
but we're going to go after the boy and see what he can do
Kirk to be honest
I'm just going to plead the fifth
Hey Kirk's got a podcast
Taylor does he really what's podcast
You just tell me last night it's uh
what is it the Kirk Cousins podcast
We'll get that out
trying to keep up with you guys.
We don't have as good of a name.
We don't have as good of a boss.
That's all right.
We're trying to keep up with you guys.
It's the Vikings run it though, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Vikings' podcast will be on this fall after games.
It should be fun.
We'll have a good time.
Maybe not as much as a good time as you guys have.
Yeah, I get to swing the bat a little more since I'm a free agent, not really
like too concerned what I'm doing right now.
And Taylor, you know, he's got a contract, not one like yours.
Jesus, nope, nope.
But close and not.
enough.
Kirk, I get it, dude.
You have a fully guaranteed contract.
You're not going to cut off your piece for a Super Bowl.
I totally understand that.
What I will say is good on you for getting with the Minnesota Vikings on your podcast
because the whole reason why I started my podcast was the Titans.
No, no.
Don't say why I started my podcast.
Sorry, the whole reason why I let Will, I carry Will in my back every day is because
when the Titans started their podcast, I thought to myself, I could beat this.
And now we started our own podcast.
We did in a day.
So good on you.
We did beat them.
I love it. We beat all their views in one day.
And it's for the boys, right?
It's a boy there.
I'm starting to, I love it.
You're starting to buy into the deal.
We're going to send a box of shirts to the locker room,
and you better just throw them around.
You better just sling those teams back.
You know, Kyle Floater, one of our quarterbacks,
had shirts made to say Sloater House,
and he distributed them around the locker room.
Were they a big hit?
Well, I mean, guys wear them,
but I thought, you know, if you make a shirt for yourself,
and they give them out to everybody,
I would think there's the precedent that says that there's nothing wrong as having a shirt represent somebody else.
Hey, we're my T-shirt.
It's a weird flex.
Yeah.
It's definitely a weird flex.
Weird flex, but okay.
Kirk, I don't know.
Honestly, I don't know.
And you don't have to answer this question if you even know who I am.
But I definitely know who you are, buddy, because I don't know if you knew this, we are rivals.
Our colleges are major rivals.
2009, 2011, which is one of the worst universities to ever be called a D1 university,
the little brother Michigan State.
How did you get there, dude?
Was it like, hey, this is my only offer and I have to,
or did you actually choose to go there?
Is that a thing?
You know what?
I grew up in Michigan, full disclosure.
I grew up.
Really, on the line.
I mean, I watched you with them.
I watched the Spartan.
And the reality is, Michigan had every opportunity to recruit me,
to call me to come to my high school.
And they never, they never even,
I don't even know if they sent me a letter,
like a just typed up like generic sent it to 15,000 kids letter.
I don't think I even got one of those.
And so, you know, they got Ryan Mallet early in the recruiting process.
He committed.
And I think they pretty much said, well, kids for quarterback, we don't need to recruit another one.
And that was it.
But Chad, he was a senior when I was a freshman.
So I thought, you know, hey, it could have timed out.
Great.
I could have been graduated.
I could have stepped in as a sophomore and played a few years.
But they had other plans with Ryan Mallet.
And so I went to Michigan State.
it all worked out and won a few games against those guys in Ann Arbor.
But I would have loved to have gone to the Wolver.
I mean, what a great school, you know.
You were a late bloomer.
You were a late bloomer.
I was a late bloomer.
Will knows me.
I was a late bloomer.
And, yeah, Will has way more bragging rights against me in the Big Ten than...
You're damn right.
We always let him know.
Hey, let the guy finish his whole answer before you start interrupting.
I got excited.
I got excited.
Sorry, but I, sorry, Kurt.
We have a big interrupting issue.
Will has been on this thing lately here.
so disrespectful so I apologize.
Yeah, dude, I'm going to be honest with you.
I, uh, we're not calling Ryan Mallet right now to have him on the podcast.
That's for damn sure.
Yeah.
You definitely, uh, you definitely swung ahead a home run on that one.
Good on you, buddy.
I'm, I'm happy for you.
Played, uh, I went one in three against Michigan State.
I don't know if you know that.
Um, but did you play with William Goldston?
Did you play with him?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Do you, I remember when he punched me in the face?
I do.
I remember.
I remember he got he did.
And that's what, you know, people talk about.
but that's what I love, man.
It's a made it a rivalry.
It's a made successful.
Is that kind of extracurricular stuff?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there not a better feeling than when you're going
to play Michigan and we're going to play you guys?
Like, there's that like the week of, you just don't even go to class.
You just lock in, watch film, and the hype before the game.
Michigan players are kicking at the middle of the Spartan head.
You guys are coming around trying to knock down our banner.
It's wild.
People are throwing punches at just,
good American boys that were the number 77 and the maize and blue has never done
done a thing wrong in his entire life it's a beautiful thing man it's a there's nothing like that
rivalry because like Michigan had you know we had Ohio State which is supposed to be the biggest
one we had y'all Notre Dame but for me ever since William Golson punched me in the face too
there's nothing I want more than the Michigan is the dummy of Michigan State every single year I want
well I grew up in the state I grew up in the state would have loved have been recruited by their school
wasn't recruited by him, play against them.
And I know, and I'm still a resident in Michigan.
All my ears are the Redskins, all my ears of the Vikings.
I keep a Michigan driver's license.
My residence is Michigan.
So, like, if we hadn't it done well against, I got to face it the rest of my life.
So I really hold on to that whole thing about you walk the streets of the alleys each year,
whoever wins, whoever loses.
And so, you know, you still live that every day back in the state when you run into people
who are either Spartans or Wolverines.
So it's a, and I knew that I was playing.
I mean, you felt that pressure like, man, like today,
game, you're going to change my life.
It's going to change my life one way or another, and here we go.
And you got to love it.
Do you think Michigan looks back and are like, man, we should have got Kirk Cousins?
No question.
Do you feel like you were still the type of football?
Well, they hired, I mean, if you wanted to go into the football on it, they hired
the Loycar, obviously iconic in Michigan, you know, so much respect, you know,
get an offer from him.
That's a big deal.
But he retired after what would have been my freshman year.
So they hired Rich Rodriguez.
I'm thinking Rich Rodriguez says, even if we had offered Kirk Cousonsons and Scholars,
I'm not playing him.
Like, I'm going to go get my guy
at Gnar Robinson, a guy who can run,
a guy who's athletic.
So I probably would have been
transferred or been kind of stuck
behind somebody far more athletic to me.
So it all worked out
because if they had hired Rich Rodriguez,
it wouldn't have been good for me.
I know that.
Yeah, that's true.
That's true.
Fast forward, fast forward after your Michigan State days.
You're drafted, fourth round
behind the chosen one,
Robert RG3.
You know we got to go down this rabbit hole
of what that transition was like
when you started to become you like that.
And kind of that dynamic of climbing that ladder
when you know that D.C. wanted RG3 to work out so bad.
Well, the way I always do it was my best case scenario,
and I was happy with this scenario,
was to play well in preseason games in the third and fourth quarter
that maybe another team takes notice,
and then after probably two to three years, I get traded.
And I thought that's a great deal.
and I can go somewhere else and in a good spot.
And so I always felt like that was a good scenario for me.
I love that I got to play for Mike Shanahan,
so I thought I'm in a good spot here to kind of learn the ropes.
I thought it was awesome that I got to kind of,
because I wasn't ready to play.
Robert was ready to play, and he proved that being for the year,
but I wasn't ready to play.
I needed to be able to fit.
And so it kind of was a good fit.
I just never thought it be in Washington.
And then as things played out, coach just changed,
and injuries happened.
And just life happens, as you know,
suddenly I'm starting in Washington.
and then I'm there starts for a few years.
So this league is crazy, and you can say that,
but when you actually live it, it's a whole different deal.
And yeah, and you heard me say you like that, I think, in practice,
long before I ever said the game.
Yeah, no doubt, dude, we had so much fun of that.
You said that before?
You did that before the thing?
Yeah, we had a blast.
That was in the Redskins.
Yeah, I mean, we were always chipped.
We were always chirping in OTAs or tripping.
I remember always looking back as coaches, defense,
and just kind of running my mouth.
Yeah, dude, you would run your mouth in, like, the most fun-loving way
too. It's like, yeah, yeah, you like, boo-ya. And you're like, boy, man, fuck, curse.
God damn it's like, this guy won't even curse. Yeah, yeah, gosh, you won't even curse. Yeah, that's right.
So then when I did it, when I did it in the game, I didn't think anything of it because I had been doing it.
But I guess he forget that sometimes there's cameras and sometimes there's not. When there's cameras, it changes the whole game.
And so, yeah, it was on camera and they'd see him everywhere. Yeah, I was just being me. And sometimes, you know, I was too, I wish
I didn't know there were cameras around more often because I feel like a different
Kirk comes out.
But sometimes when the cameras are on, you're like guarded and you just don't want to
take your foot in your mouth, especially in today's culture.
And so you're just so protective and nobody ever gets to see the real use.
That's why I appreciate this podcast.
You can just kind of let your hair down and be yourself and all what it is.
Yeah, man.
When you have $87 million is guaranteed, buddy, you don't have to worry about much to you.
No, honestly talking about that, you know, you're like the only guy to have a guaranteed
contract of that, like magnitude.
When people are like, yeah, but he was making bank on his franchise tag too.
The franchise tag.
Yeah, explain.
Obviously, you make a lot of money, but explain that mentality.
And I don't even know if it's pressure.
Like, you can walk me through this.
But the dynamic that would go on, the few years that you were under the franchise tag,
especially in a media market like DC, like I always think about the time we were playing
golf and your stuff's going on and you're talking about, you know, going to training
camp.
And you're obviously like, yeah, I'm definitely going to training camp.
and it's just so awkward being in some of these standstill stages of a situation like that.
Talk about the mentality and the pressure that kind of came with being a franchise tag guy year in and year out.
Yeah, you know, it kind of was what it was.
I just felt, I kind of shrug my shoulders at it and said, look, there's a lot of different ways to play this.
This is the way it's kind of played out.
I felt peace about the decision I made each time.
I didn't feel unrest.
In fact, if I had done anything different, I probably would have felt unrest.
So the fact that I just felt heat and felt somewhat settled about the decision I had made,
even if it meant that I was going to have to be figuring it out again when the season ended,
I think it allowed me to just kind of play and not worry about it.
And I guess it just helps that teams are always looking for quarterback.
It doesn't seem like they've got an oversupply of them.
And so I felt like, look, if I've shown I can play, I can go year to year.
and I just don't feel like I'm risking all that much
because between an insurance policy and the fact that teams need quarterback,
the math would just say that I'm better off just playing year to year
and letting it play out as it does.
So obviously I look back now and I think it worked out really well.
But everybody deals with that.
I mean, when guys are playing, you were undrafted playing for league.
But I'm fighting every year.
And like that's pressure.
That's a grind in training camp to try to figure out where you're,
future's gone. Yeah, for sure. And, dude, I feel you. Your mental fortitude about that,
you guard your mind. You do a great job of that. I've actually picked a lot of stuff from
your brain on, you know, learning to do that kind of stuff. But when you lose, when me and you,
when we were losing games and people are bringing that stuff up, you really still felt at
peace all the time. Like, there was no, there was no pressure around anything that thought, you know,
man, I wish this either team or anything would have my back. You probably felt they did,
and I'm not trying to talk you in any corner. I'm just trying to fight.
fucking pull the guard down and talk to the boy like we're at the training table, swap the stories.
You know, I felt like, I felt like, yeah, certainly, you know, hey, I wish this had been done differently.
But look, there were conversations, I mean, with guys like Scott McLuhan, where you just realized, hey, they have a certain viewpoint.
They're in a certain position.
Yeah.
I think even since then, Scott's been public about it, saying, you know, I wanted to pay Kirk a certain amount.
I didn't want to pay him anymore.
And, you know, that was that.
And so that's fine.
Like, I don't care.
That's fine.
But I think the market, if I was allowed to be a free agent, would pay me more.
And so until you're willing to let me go to the market and see what my value is, which maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe it's less.
But I would like to go to the market.
And if you're not going to let me, then I'm going to sit and wait until you do let me.
And then they decided, I guess, in the winter of 2018, to let me go to the market.
And I went to the market.
And I went to whatever the market dictated.
And that's just the way it is.
That's just free agency.
It's not complicated.
It's just for two years.
They wouldn't let me go to the market.
I said, that's fine.
You know, don't let me go, you know?
Was there any time you were, like, frustrated with that situation?
Like, let me just go.
Because there's got to be something to be said about sitting there and having some sort of stability.
Like, when you sound in Minnesota, you're like, okay, I know for the next three years,
I have a home.
I'm raising a family.
Like, I'm good.
We can set up shopping and have a foundation.
Instead of being on, like, you know, playing at your contract, starting, getting franchise tag,
getting franchise tag again.
When you were going to that, you're going to that,
that second franchise tag, were you like, man, I wish they just, you know, obviously you'd probably just wish, like,
okay, just let me go so I can do my thing.
Or did you want to be at the Redskins?
Yeah, no, I did.
I felt like if we won, I'd still be there.
You know, we went seven and nine a year before I left.
And I just felt like the team said, hey, you know, seven and nine isn't what we're trying to be.
And so let's move on.
And, you know, I think if we had gone 11 and 5, I'd probably still be.
there and that's fine you know life takes it different turns and and I feel like I'm in
Minnesota for a reason I feel really good about it and you know yeah long-term contracts are
nice but as you guys know um things change so fast and you just never really know man you mean
guys get traded you just never know what the uh what the next year is going to bring with injuries
and stuff it's just a crazy league and so even when you have a guarantee contract it's
not like I'm sitting there with no butterflies before games I mean you still got those
those free game jitters like everybody else because it matters to you and it's a crazy league and it's a grind.
Yeah, we always joke about it because Rable, like, we'll be in our squad meetings and he'll kind of nobody, nobody is an exception to not chirp at or use as an example.
Like one time Taylor had an off day in practice and Brable's up there showing film.
He's a tough day for the boy.
Tough day for the boy in Vrable's showing film and he's like, hey, bro, how much are we paying you?
Like, you got to block this guy, like shit like that.
So, obviously, it's no non-butterflies in the stomach.
But one thing I do, I do, I am curious about how important was the guaranteed contract?
Like, you were one of the only guys, if not the only guy, especially on that level that has a guaranteed contract.
Everyone knows that you got offered more money by other teams in the mix.
I know Jets were one of them.
How important was that guaranteed contract?
And what was kind of the language you were having with your agent and stuff that was just,
that was just non-negotiable for you to make that happen and to kind of change the layout of hopefully moving forward guys kind of get more of a deal that you have?
Well, this is why it's so important to have a good agent
And knows what he's doing
Because just like there's good and bad football players
There's good and bad agents
And you got to have a good agent
And so my agent, right when the season ended
And it looked like I'd probably be franchise tag
That spring for the first time
He said the only way you're not getting franchise tag
In my opinion is if you do a three year deal
If the Redskins are willing to do a three year deal
It's fully guaranteed
And so that was basically
He started a conversation right away
That that was his vision
And obviously the numbers were a lot
The numbers were a lot lower at that point because salary cap was lower and it was a few years ago.
But that was his vision all along.
And I just don't believe that, you know, the Redskins agreed with that vision or caught on that vision again, which is fine.
That's their prerogative.
And we went on and it was just kind of that same focus of let's try to do a three-year deal fully guaranteed with whoever, you know, is in the conversation.
And, you know, fortunately the Vikings were willing to do that as well.
And that made it work.
And, you know, we took a little less per year to get.
that and that's fine you got to give some to get some and ultimately I felt like taking a little
less per year actually made some sense you know to help create a little bit of salary cap room and
and just you know um you know be fair to the rest of the locker room so right i think it worked
out for a lot of reasons and yeah i think it worked for a lot of reasons and time will tell you
know if that's the best structure to do in the future depending on how well i play and what situation
i mean at that time but uh it was something my agent brought up but i said hey i'm all four
it is kind of weird that every other professional sports league seems to have fully guaranteed
contract and we don't. So let's try to create that a little bit. And I always felt like it's only
going to make a difference if everybody who comes after me chooses to do that same structure.
But, you know, the reality is that, you know, Aaron and Matt Ryan and some other guys
fought after me, that just wasn't the structure they chose to do. And that's fine. They get more,
you know, I guess they get more dollars per year and then they give up the guarantees.
And that's okay by them, I guess. But the guarantees, at least in this deal, we're just something
I wanted to try and see if we could do it. Yeah. And if you, if you, I heard in your answer,
Like, you know, maybe it's all right to take a little less money
so that way we can get more guys in the locker room.
Dude, you just throw me a mill on the side.
I'll come play for you for you guys for free.
I would love to have you.
Actually, I may have to get a...
Don't do that, Kurt.
I miss part of the boy, dude.
Kirk's, he's stuck.
Let me say, I had to get this in at some point.
Now's a good time of drink.
You know him, I know him.
A lot of people out there probably don't know him.
Will Compton, in all my years,
high school, college, or the pros,
is the best, most dynamic leader I've ever played with.
And I'll just let that sentence sit there and just let it be.
I don't need to expound out of too much.
But the reality is he is a natural leader.
He gets up in the morning, rolls out of bed, and he leaves with his personality,
with his work ethic, with his approach, his professionalism.
That's who he is.
And you see his fun side here in the podcast.
But when he's on the field, he plays with hearts,
and he leads and he brings people together from different backgrounds,
and he connects the locker room,
and he makes it fun,
and he brings a soft side and a hard side to work,
and I love it.
So that's why I'm on this podcast,
and I'm with respect I have for Will,
and there's 32 teams out there.
There's about 29 that probably don't know him that well.
Take you take a look at him.
Dude, I love that.
I appreciate you, dude.
Taylor's just staring at me.
Oh, my God.
He just feels the way Will's acting the last couple days.
Hey, Taylor, I'm a great guy.
But no, hold on a great guy.
Let me stop it before you compliment because you don't need to because you're probably wrong.
Let me just say, as much as I hate to admit, you're absolutely right.
Will does have the work ethic.
He does everything right.
And that's not his fault.
He's white.
God,
that's why I love that.
Do we have the podcast because we can stay shit like that?
You got to have.
You can't fight the guy.
But no, you're right.
I think Will and I, I mean, I know for a fact, Will and I in the beginning of this whole thing,
before the podcast, before everything, we, like, we linked up like three days.
and him being with the Titans.
I see what you see, man.
He works his ass off.
He's a great guy, and he's willing to have fun with the boys,
but he knows how to be a leader.
He knows how to go into a locker room and have fun,
and at the same time, go in the field,
chirp the boys and also get a lot of stuff fun.
So I think, we love the guys with the fact that you're making me.
Dude, I appreciate both of you guys.
One thing I want to go ahead, go ahead.
If I'm a GM, I may only pay in league minimum,
But I'm going to make sure he's in my locker room.
Hey, man, he's, he's great, super gritty.
Lunch pail to work first and last out.
High IQ, high motor, even though I get very tired quickly.
But apparently I have a high motor.
Oh, man, that's funny.
How structured is your life still?
Do you still do every 15 minutes as it written down?
You know what, man?
That kind of took some of its own.
You know, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.
But I did that initially because my wife, you know,
wanted me to have a little more of a plan. She felt like I was, you know, it was hard for her.
I was never present. I was kind of, even when I was home, I was at work, if you know what I mean.
Absolutely.
I said, well, can you kind of plan it out so that, you know, I know when we can have time together.
So I kind of sat down and said, all right, let's go 15 minutes through the day from get up to go to bed.
Did that for the first year, you know, there was a second year of our marriage.
And it really helped. And so, you know, I was doing a lot of questions about, well, why did you play better this year?
What happened? And I said, well, you know, I think you have a little more structure, a little more routine, planning that out, help.
next thing you know it was like cousins is psychotic he plans every every minute
absolute cycle path you know i know you're a serial killer every 50 yeah and then and then what's funny
is like i've heard i've heard tom brady kind of does the same thing or has done something like that
in terms of planning ahead and if you win then you're like oh my goodness you're such a professional
you know he plans out and then and then when you go seven and nine and do that it's a weirdo he's too
rigid he can't play and he's got to get more loose he's got to be more loose how's that
How's Julie doing, man?
How's the fam?
How's everything kind of changed?
You got a squad with you now.
That's right.
I got boys in my own.
Yeah.
The fam is good.
Really great.
I think we just reached our five-year anniversary, so that's a good thing.
Congratulations.
We've got a year and a half-year-old and a four-month-old.
So they're just about a year.
It's just about 17 months apart.
And we got our hands full, but I think I'm done, man.
Two boys.
I can't imagine having a third kid right now.
Well, if you're done, then you might as well just go ahead and chop that thing off and get a Super Bowl.
You see what we did there?
It came full circle.
Yeah, hey, how about this?
Would you get a vasectomy for a Super Bowl?
Oh, 100%.
Oh, there we go.
I get a Super Bowl, I would get one, then reverse it, then get one again, then reverse it.
Yeah.
The thing about vasectomies is, is like,
as soon as I'm done having kids
I got a two-year-old, Kurt, thanks for asking.
And I think about having more kids as well.
But when I'm done,
the minute we're done, I'm going to go to the doctor and say,
take what you need.
Take what you need, man,
because the thing is, is like,
I don't want to be that guy that's like,
kids are graduating,
you're looking in the future,
and you're like, man, I got like a
at least 20 years of my life left.
I get to go, did it,
and then all of a sudden,
she's pregnant again,
or something like that.
And you got a 15-year-old,
a 13-year-old, and a 6-month-year-old.
And your grandfather, father,
fathering child?
The oops baby.
Yeah, oops baby, dude.
Oops, baby.
For me, you know, my goal
when I came in the league,
and when I got married,
I said, you know,
I really want to play long enough
that I have a son or a daughter
who can watch me play and remember it.
And even better would be
if they can come to training camp practice
and play catch afterwards
and, you know, that whole thing.
And so I'm getting close, you know,
my oldest probably needs a few more years.
But if I could,
If I could realize that dream and then retire,
I'd be a pretty happy man at retirement.
I love that, dude.
You have plenty more years, man.
You might play with one of your kids.
Being a quarterback, I mean, you never know.
You did a hell of a job, but getting only three years on that deal.
What's next?
The awkward laugh.
Where are you going?
What's next for me for this summer or for life?
No, for life after the day.
If you play for Minnesota Vikings, where do you want to play next?
Go back to the Redskins.
You know what man, here's what I learn.
Here's what I learn.
and you don't know this, so you have to do it.
I tell you talking about playing on one-year deals earlier,
it's way harder to leave a city, a system, teammates, a locker room that you know
and move across the country and start over, even if it is on a long-term deal.
Yeah, no doubt.
Then to play in a place you've already been on successive one-year deals,
that's a lot easier.
So I have no desire to have to get up and pack up and move again and start over.
You know, if I had my brothers, I would be in Minnesota for the long haul.
but I got to earn that, and there's probably a lot of Viking fans who are hoping and
I don't end up in Minnesota for the long haul.
I'm hoping we play.
Oh, hell.
Hey, you guys kill yourself out here.
You go 12 and 4.
Kirk Cousins is the missing piece.
He's going to take us to the top.
God, I'm sure you get enough of that, too, dude.
I get what you're saying.
I haven't had to go through a transition of moving to a different team, but they're going to need
they're going to need a fucking army to get me out of here, dude.
I've, I've planted my roots in Nashville.
I'm not going anywhere, my babies.
I'm staying as long as I can be.
I'm going to drag it.
I'm going to get dragged out of that.
that place. I got to figure it out Redskins,
friend Kirk Cousins,
who makes a lot of money. Sure. Titans
they ship the boy off. Okay, whatever.
Hey, Taylor, he's going to sign a big deal.
This is my next opportunity.
Dude, stop using me.
We had this conversation earlier. I know, but we didn't get a
recording. We didn't get a recording. Get back on Kirk's
coattails, because I'm done with it. I know, right?
You're about to have a third son because I'm
giving you will, Kirk.
I'll come, I'll come take
the family pass and go watch him at practice.
Yeah, he can, he can,
He can drive my kids back and forth, run errands.
I'll put him to work.
Yeah, there you go.
See, I try to put him to work.
He just says no and then goes home
and the next day asks for more money.
Yeah.
For the bus.
It's crazy, man.
Can I get this?
Yeah, let me get this.
We need this for the bus.
That's for the bus.
Dude, you just finished up a couple of football camps.
You actually added one, right?
You did one in Minnesota?
Yeah, we did Minnesota and then Michigan
with middle school kids.
It's a lot of fun.
And then we do a high school setting out of seven.
Dude, I know it's a lot of fun,
but I know that is a grind trying to do a couple of camps.
Like I had one.
in Missouri and then did Nebraska.
After I did Nebraska, I was like, hey, I want to go back to just doing one
because this is a lot of work.
It's a lot of work.
It's a lot of time.
And you're doing it in the summer, so you're outside in the heat of the day all day.
But we have fun with it.
I got a lot of great health, so I can just kind of have fun with it and walk around
and high-five the kids.
And, man, we get a lot of positive sleep.
I love it.
I think it's something we kind of stumbled into after my rookie years that we just kind of
thought of and it evolved over the years.
We've added elements to it.
But it's been a blast to do it.
And hopefully we, I'm hoping we can do it long after I'm done playing.
My goal, I tell the other coach at the camp, I say,
we got to make this camp so fun that someday the Kirk Cousin football camp,
kids go to it and they say, I have no idea who Kirk Cousins is,
but he puts on a great camp.
Dude, that's a solid goal right there.
That's a solid goal.
And you do it for the, you do it for Julian Kirk Cousins Foundation.
Talk about that for a minute before we let you off the phone.
Yeah, you know, after our financial situation changed so much
from the franchise tags and then three-year contract in Minnesota.
It just became clear that, you know, we ought to start a foundation.
And we had already been, you know, very generous, but at, you know,
smaller levels and not as public.
And then, you know, this foundation kind of gives us an opportunity to hopefully,
you know, tell a story with our giving and highlight a lot of the organizations we believe in
and really be able to, you know, increase our platform, if you will,
and allow other people to partner with us in our giving.
And so it's been a great thing.
We've been added now about a year with the Julian Kirk Cousins Foundation.
And, you know, we're just continuing to try to look for great organizations to partner with
and for, you know, strategic ways to really use our foundation to make a difference for the good.
So, you know, something we continue to grow.
Hopefully there's more football contacts up ahead so we can keep growing the foundation.
Yeah, no doubt, man.
We appreciate you coming on.
You're like the first phone interview we've actually done on Bustin with the Boys.
Like we've done some voice with the callbacks, but you're the first, like, episode.
that we've done.
I love it.
Great.
Hopefully it went well enough
that you can have more
these in the future
and don't be afraid
to invite me back
and yeah,
a lot of fun.
You guys do a great job.
I mean,
it's not easy to do a podcast.
I would know.
I've done one.
And you guys do a great job.
I wish you well going forward.
Thanks a lot, bro.
Appreciate that.
Kirk.
Anytime you're in Nashville,
come hit us up,
buddy.
We'll put you on the boys for real.
I'm going to take you up on now.
I usually get to Nashville
once in off season.
So it's like,
I can't wait.
You come on the bus.
I can't wait.
you go on the bus, we'll go to losers.
We'll hang out.
It'll be amazing.
We'll have Kirk Cousin' do a shot.
Hey, guys, never been seen before.
Kirk Cousin drinking alcohol, we're going to make it happen.
We'll get you real drunk and then we'll videotape the whole thing.
We'll sell it to TNZ.
It'll be fun.
We'll have a good time with it.
It'll be amazing.
I love it.
Perfect.
Can't wait.
Thank you so much.
I can't wait.
Thank you so much, Bob.
I'll talk to you soon.
All right.
Yeah.
Fun fact.
That was Will Compton interviewing Kirk Cousins.
Is this what's happening?
You'd not let the boy have a chance to ask a question?
I'm sorry, dude.
You're like three times in that podcast, you're like, hey, one thing I wanted to ask you.
How many one things do you want to ask the guy, dude?
About seven that we have on the screen.
Here's what I'm going to ask you on the screen?
Yeah, one thing I'm going to figure out, though.
One thing I want to ask myself is how can I cannot fucking read that, dude?
Let me.
Yeah, I don't know.
That's pretty easy.
I'm struggling over there, dude.
Here's, okay, so let me speak for a second.
Number one, I apologize.
Okay.
Because that's the first apology I've had in a week.
Genuinely, I'm thinking of my mind, you might not.
like think or care about the whole Redskins dynamic that was going on.
It ain't that serious, dude.
It was more of a joke than anything else.
You did you want?
Well, I can still apologize.
I'm going to listen. I'm not going to talk to you.
True to every joke.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
You know, tired and sick, tired and sick.

Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel.
Help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.

Your husband is not who you think he is.
Your body is not what you thought it was.
Your identity is formed by a secret history.
I'm Danny Shapiro.
And these are just a few of the stunning stories
I'll be exploring on the 14th season of Family Secrets.
He kind of shoved me out of the way and said,
move.
And he went out of the front door.
and he jumped in a car and drove off,
and that was the last time I saw him.
