Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was harmed.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis come until he's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcasts.
Hey, it's Ashanti Plummer from Fud Around and Find Out.
This week, AZ Fudd and I sat down with Step and Curry.
Step talks pressure, confidence and what it really takes to stay great.
There's different categories, I guess, on like conditioning, shooting drills where you try to simulate kind of games.
Look at her face.
We have a love-hate relationship with those because you know you're getting something out of it.
You don't look forward to those days.
Listen to Fud Around and Find out on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Ladies and gentlemen, please.
Oh, there's cords over here.
It's all right.
We'll deal with that a second.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another incredible episode of Bustin.
What the boys?
Let's get one, fellas.
Let's get one presented by the most durable, reliable vehicle on the road, the Chevy Severado.
Silverado is as strong and dependable as the people who drive them.
Chevy Silverado, modern and advanced with a ton of grit.
A partner in getting things done, especially when it comes to the heart and soul of the pickup truck,
This is a bed.
With Silverado, you get the most functional bed of any competitor,
best-in-class standard cargo volume.
Here we go.
The intergate folds to a large segment for easily getting in and out of the bed.
Here comes the big one.
Available industry first power up and down, tailgate,
or available multiflex tailgate we've been telling you about
with six convenient configurations.
This makes the bed of the Silverado work harder and smarter.
Silverado, it's strong, advanced, dependable,
and hardworking, just like the boys in the bus.
It looks like we got some electric things going on right now.
We got new cameras, and these things...
Let me finish, because I'm hype.
These things look fucking expensive.
These things look nice.
These things look beautiful.
And now we got some flashy cameras.
And we're stoked about it, dude.
Look at all the angles now.
What do you got for me, JP?
I don't know how to put this.
Only one of these cameras is on right now.
It's not the old one, though.
is the old one.
It's just
so the new ones
that I was just
getting really excited about.
It would be best
if we just moved on.
Why are the red lights on,
JP?
Listen,
man,
it's a lot of new equipment.
I don't know what's going on.
What are you mean?
You guys have
a fucking DJ soundtrack
board around you.
You look like a Vici.
Taylor,
can we please move on?
Dude,
that is fucking heartbreaking.
But when adversity hits,
you just keep on power and thrill.
Another thing that's hit too,
my boy Wilcompton's been
such in his bag.
he's literally become the bag.
My boy has become the back.
He was out in what?
Charlotte?
Charleston, South Carolina?
Yep.
That the boy stomping grounds?
Three hours away.
Three hours away.
It's a quick little stompy, dude.
It's a hop-skip and jumpy from your stompies.
I love that, dude.
He was out at a little concert.
He brought baby Roo.
I obviously didn't start following until yesterday on Twitter
because your boy has been on a little bit of a hiatus in the social media.
It was great, but to be honest with you,
I'm more happy to be back than I was to be gone.
Will was in, brought the baby,
brought Charle, brought her friend.
I saw her friend tweet about Will.
It's the only reason why I know that.
And it seems like they had an outstanding time.
Will was in his vibes this past weekend.
He had the cigars.
He had them new balance pieces or were the Nike ones
that looked just like the new balanced pieces
that everyone raves about.
Seems like he was really enjoying himself
with a smoky cigar.
And overall, the kid, I got to tell you,
when Will has a little bit of scruff,
like this is obviously too much scruff,
when he's got the little bit of scruff,
my boy looks good.
When it's too long, he starts looking like a ferret.
We can all agree on that.
right the hairs get a little too long and you feel like I could fold this guy like a sandwich
that's what you can do with ferret that's why I think to myself that's what will is but when he shaves it
too much I think I want to beat the shit out of him you know what I'm saying like he's a nerd I'm
gonna take his lunch money so will's got a real happy medium with his facial hair and I think he
fucking nailed it this weekend so shout out wilcompton for being willcomton and knowing where to be on his
his facial hair me personally we're not doing shout enough for the week right we're doing that
it'll be Thursday's pub which is a lot of people I will say there's been a lot of people
hitting me up saying that the shout-out, no-free shout-out the week and tier talk is one of the
favorite parts of the podcast, including professional football players. Go ahead. You went viral on TikTok.
I didn't even got the talk. I was what I'm saying. I was out there like that. Yeah. Yeah.
2 million. Oh, 2 million?
You had like 1.2 million in less than 24 hours. Oh.
Like 1.8 million on views. It was the overalls. I mean, everyone loves a good day drinking.
Dude, but it's low-hanging fruit though, right? Because like when you say shout-out, no-free shout-out to day drinking, it's like, done.
Taylor. Fucking duh, buddy. But we were wearing the 2K chain. We had the overalls on. We had a
spicy little red, fiery, leathery tan to us. It was a nice deal. And I'm happy the people of TikTok
enjoyed it enough for me to go viral on that. That was extremely nice to them. Me personally,
I've been off the social media. I kind of touched on it a little bit ago. It's been a nice
week. Went to Blackberry Farms with the family. We're out there looking at sheep,
taking early drives eating the best food
the state of Tennessee has to offer
and I went on a little hiatus from the Blue Bird
and Instagram. Now, it wasn't like I was
completely off it. I did follow a little bit. I did accidentally
like some things that probably shouldn't like, but I was very conscious
about not tweeting. I was very conscious about that, dude, and I had
a phenomenal time, but I'll tell you what, day three, day four
in, I felt FOMO. And that's how you know social media is getting you in the wrong way.
Because when you're getting the FOMO about not being on it
and I couldn't shake it. You know, people say
like, oh, they fought through it, and they got to the light and the door swung open.
Then all of a sudden, they're like, oh, I'm clarity as me.
I am that.
I'm now a Buddhist monk.
I feel so amazing about not being on social media.
Fuck that, dude.
Not me.
I was three days in, and I thought to myself, I got to get back on that bird.
So I'm so stoked to be back on social media.
So, so stoked to be spending way too much money to spend a week on a farm with my beautiful
family from Arizona.
Shout out the Arnold's with my beautiful wife, with our beautiful two kids.
It was an incredible time.
such an incredible time that when I came back today,
I did miss it a little bit,
but I'm so stoked to be back on the bus,
and I'm so stoked to be talking to you
about this next couple hours we're going to deal with.
Melvin Gordon.
Let's give a round of applause.
This man, let me tell you,
mama, there goes that man.
We get on the bus, he comes,
he's wearing his glasses,
he's got a little outfit on.
My man is looking fire.
He's looking really good.
Am I right, boys?
Like, you know, I know, I know Jack's all weird about that.
No pause.
You know what I'm saying?
but my man's looking fire.
And he's got the glasses on in about five minutes.
And I go, man, this dude's really not giving us much.
He's not really like feeling the vibes
of what we're trying to be about on the bus.
And it was kind of a disappointment at first.
All of a sudden, I think it was, what, minute nine?
Yep.
Minute nine hits.
This man took his glasses off.
And not only was he fun, vibrant,
and exciting the entire time,
he also gave us a whole new vocabulary to deal with, all right?
Personal things were,
keep it a ban.
That was one.
Use the word gang a lot.
And I actually really enjoyed the fact that he used gangs so much.
I liked fam.
And when we went through our tear talk,
we were talking about best non-alcoholic juices.
I loved his little commentary.
Usually when it comes to tear talk, we like to keep everybody quiet.
We don't want people to know how we feel so it doesn't sway how they go with their tears.
But my man in the back home, oh, yeah, that's shit fire.
Oh, yeah, they don't know about that.
Oh, that's a bit of a deal right there.
Yeah.
The way he was talking, it got me juiced up.
Melvin Gordon, incredible guy.
We talk about his time.
at the Chargers.
We get into a little bit of heartbreak,
how he was in his feelings a little bit too much.
And he kept it a band with us in that situation.
He was definitely in his feelings about that,
which, you know, when you're a first round pick
and you go through it and you're loved and cradled
and treated a certain way, it's hard.
It's probably hard walking away.
I have not been in that situation,
but my man was going to another AFC West team.
Had to be a very difficult thing for him.
We talk about playing up in Denver.
Shout out the Denver fans out there.
Shout out the Denver football players, too.
hardest fucking place to play by far.
It's not even a question.
It's not even a fucking question.
It's the hardest place.
And then we started talking about Mexico City, right?
And apparently that place is double.
So shout out to never playing in Mexico City.
Dude, I never want to do that.
Because playing in Denver was miserable, dude.
Absolutely miserable.
I had an amazing time.
I think you guys were really going to enjoy this podcast.
I think you're going to have a phenomenal time.
I think you're going to smile.
I think you're mostly going to smile the whole time.
You're going to lean back in your chair and go,
these fucking guys, man.
and these guys.
If you can do the splits,
don't.
You know what I'm saying?
I think we kind of got that across a little bit.
When you do the splits as a grown man
committing to a university,
let's not.
Am I right?
Let's not do that.
His words,
Will's words,
you know me,
I stay out of everything,
boy,
so if you're going to cancel anybody,
I cancel them too.
Enjoy the show.
Please remember to subscribe and read five stars.
What's our number count out?
What's the minutes?
Right now we're at 11.
We're at 11 minutes.
God, it's a real gray area, isn't it?
Whether or not I want to give these boys and girls an ad read real quick.
You know what's going to happen?
We're going to roll right into it.
We should have to talk about this real quick.
I already said subscribe and wait five stars.
I need you to do that.
Keep following.
I told you big fucking numbers for the boys.
Huge numbers for busting with the boys.
Could not be more proud of each and every one of you.
And I can't help but think it kind of came when we started like just shamelessly asking.
Like, please God, just subscribe.
unsubscribe, resubscribe, and you're doing it.
And it's becoming an unbelievable experience.
Our bellies are feeling warm on the inside.
Every time I sit on this bus,
and I sit in this left side of chair,
I think to myself, I got little,
I got butterflies everywhere and I'm warm and fuzzy, dude.
It's like a nice cup of hot cocoa
and a winter's evening, dude.
And another thing that'll make you feel nice and perfect
is Duke Cannon.
Duke Cannon's another website, another Instagram,
or Twitter you want to go to and check them out.
They're hilarious.
Their memes are incredible.
But not only are their memes incredible,
their product is also insane, including the big-ass brick of soap.
Now, Will went through a little bit of a deal.
We had to guide him through how you should usually use the big-ass brick of soap.
And there's a sleeve they have.
You pick the sleeve, you put the big-ice brick of soap in there.
You scrub the body and guess what?
You're getting suds just like the lufa and the liquid soap.
Other things they have to also is the, oh, the charcoal shampoo.
Fire, dude, the dry ice cooling deodorant.
I've been using that.
Here's one negative.
And I'm not saying, not saying, do canaan, I'm not doing this to be an ass.
But it takes a second to get it on.
You know what I'm saying?
You got it at one, two, three, four, five.
You got to really get on there.
But once it starts going, like I'm wearing it right now,
and I haven't taken a breath in 12 minutes.
But my armpits are so cool, dude.
They're so cool.
The dry, ice cooling deodorant's unbelievable.
The cologne.
Is that the one?
Is that the one you give that thing on there?
Dude, you give a nice little swipe.
You hit the neck and then hit the neck again.
And then we wrist it, baby.
We wrist it all day along.
We are dads of Duke Canem.
hashtag dads of Duke Cannon.
Check out Duke Cannon at any target or Duke Cannon.com
and use code bussen for 15% off your first order.
We kind of flew right into that, right?
There's going to be no editing there.
I don't believe there's going to be editing there, right?
We're just going to go right, boom, bang, boom.
Get Melvin Gore on the bus.
Like I said, first eight minutes, my man's in his shell a little bit.
Once we hit minute nine, he is.
I tell you, I felt the best I ever have at the end of that podcast.
I felt warm inside.
And I hope you do too.
Please let us know how you feel.
So subscribe, rate five stars, big hugs, tiny kisses.
Please enjoy this episode.
Do you not OTAs right now?
Yeah.
How nice is it not to be at OTAs?
That shit lovely, bro.
I stopped going that shit like four years ago.
Really?
Four or five years ago.
So you're kind of, you're a trailblazer then
because a lot of dudes out there were kind of scared to you,
including myself, until like COVID hit.
And then the first couple weeks I was like, I don't need it.
It's cool not to go now.
Fuck that shit.
My running back coach was, well, not my running back coach.
Coach Lynn?
Mm-hmm.
He was just like, brary.
He's like, as a running,
he's like, I don't care if you go.
Running back only got so many cuts.
Don't waste them.
I was like, bad.
That's all you need to tell me.
Oh, that's dope as shit.
He's like, I come here and win.
Hell yeah.
Come here when I need to.
He's like, just come and shake.
It's all I asked.
I was like, bed.
So when you train that?
I train the System 8.
I'll be all over, but right now I'm at System 8,
and then I'll probably head to Dallas.
I'll be, I'll be Rocking with Derek Henry trainer,
Melvin Sanders.
Yeah.
Sanders fit, dude?
Yeah.
He put some of that shit on.
Yeah, it's in Dallas.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You put some of his videos, see it on Instagram.
You're like, this shit goes kind of crazy.
Yeah.
The stuff he's doing out there.
You doing the same stuff?
Yeah.
He's the bands.
Yeah.
He worked out.
So he worked out twice with Melvin Sanders.
I'd work out once and then I work out with, like, some other people.
Mm-hmm.
But, yeah, bro, he'd be doing some crazy that shit in there.
Have you worked out with Derek?
No, I ain't worked out.
I think one time, but he'd be, I think he be on his own schedule, bro.
I wonder if he still.
He definitely doesn't squat heavy.
When he was first in league, he was squat and heavy.
Like, he was strong as fuck.
Like, I'm talking like five plates on each side.
But Michael, okay, so do you squat?
Yeah.
You squat back squat, wait on your back.
At what point do you think you shouldn't squat on your back anymore?
I think it depends.
Like, I'm back squatting now again.
But I don't, I don't do it.
I don't do it like heavy.
Like, if I'm breaking form or straining or anything like that,
like my knees collapse in, I won't do it.
Yeah.
Like, I stopped doing it.
So it's more like, I guess I'm not doing it for like new PRs or strength or anything like that.
I mean, I guess it's strength, but you know what I'm trying to say.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm not trying to max out if I'm back squatting.
So that's not, that's a normal deal.
That's not that much weight.
Yeah, it's not that.
Do you back squat heavy?
Bro, I peak at four or five and that's it.
I ain't going over.
That's still pretty strong.
Yeah, that's pretty strong.
But at the same time, like, that's smart.
Because I feel like when you're in college, like when you're at Wisconsin,
I'm sure they were like put everything you can on your back and go.
You'll be bending your back coming up.
And they're doing the most in college.
Yes.
College, you really legit wanted to die a little bit.
It was over with after I left college with that.
I told myself, I'm not going over 405 ever again.
Yeah.
But in college, you're like about it.
You don't know better.
You don't know any better.
You're like, if I can get 15 pounds stronger this year,
like my gains are about to go up.
Yeah, it's crazy.
You're talking trash.
Yeah.
I don't like hearing the lead.
Like, for sure.
You're strong and functional.
That's all you need to be.
You do this stuff with Sanders?
Yeah.
Playing the ball, backing up, runner.
He'd be having you tired as hell, bro.
This is a lot of stuff he'd be having you doing sled.
Like, it'd be different, bro.
It's not the same as, like, other places.
He'd be mixing it up.
That's why I kind of like it.
It's just like a, you know what I'm saying?
Different shock to the body.
Yeah.
How long are one of his workouts?
It's probably about like an hour or something.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So, in an hour, it's not terrible.
He just keeps you going the whole time.
He just keeps you going, like,
but it's like consistent, like,
like, there and no rest.
Yeah, what we did, what we do with Sean Booth at Booth
at Booth camp that one workout?
It was like 45 minutes
We were literally getting a
The whole time
That was like
That was terrible
Dining that thing
Because we're just like doing like
Conditioning the whole time
The thing that's crazy
Is like when you go
And you get into the NFL
And then you get in the off season
You're like
Oh I can kind of just do whatever I want
And then some dudes fall off fast
Because you're like oh I'm gonna chill
And then all of a sudden
You got OTAs a week away
And then another dude's grind
But you'll never grind as hard as you do in college
Not ever
Ever
Ever and I'll never grind that hard again
That'll slay work though
And I'll never
That's got that hard again.
Bro, that was too much, bro.
Just thinking about it?
No.
And not that this isn't the way to do it because it's like it still is, but just the, when you,
the whole squad would just get punished for like when somebody would mess up on a minor detail.
That shit was the worst, dude.
Touching the line.
Yeah.
Like,
I'm not saying don't touch the line.
Like they're like, you're like, you're right.
You know what I mean?
Yes, yes.
No, sir.
You got a, yeah, dudes wouldn't finish through.
They make you restart.
You legit want to murder somebody.
When you're on that 10th rep
and they're like, hey,
Compton finish.
You'd be like, man, I'll fucking kill comp.
I swear to God, dude, I'll strangle him right now.
I will end his life.
This season is way too long, too, for us to be doing that, like,
in the league.
I agree.
You just can't.
You can't do it in the league.
Do you feel like college takes years off of us?
It depends where you go.
That's a good, I think that's a really solid thing.
Because I hear a lot of dudes,
I don't know why this is brought up so much to me
because we're in the South.
I hear that about Alabama.
Like, they got all your reps are taken.
They're beat up by the time they get in the league.
Yes, that's what I heard.
A lot of dudes in Alabama come in.
I mean, obviously not there.
It's different.
But, like, some dudes are just beat up by the time they get to the NFL.
Yeah, we didn't really get, I didn't really get too much Star Street, man, at Wisconsin either.
Really?
It was always because, like, someone would get hurt or, like, like, spring ball, I was the worst player on the team.
Yeah.
Like, I did not care.
Like, I didn't finish.
I didn't do nothing.
Like, that's.
You weren't like Jerry Rice running to the end zone?
No, there's spring ball.
Absolutely not
That was true
I was OD in Springball
Bray you're not moving up
The charts in Springball
For two years
I went hard
Didn't go
Didn't move up the roster
Oh you think my last
Yeah but you guys
Yeah but you guys
Had like running back
You guys
That's all right
I wish we didn't have to get into it
But you know
Melvin was part of the trio
Where all of them had like
200 yards on us
In the Big Ten championship
Oh bro
That game
That was on yeah
Yeah
That one with the crackback
From what's his name
Oh yeah
Kenny
Oh Kenny
Oh, yeah, yeah, murdered that.
I was at that game.
I was in, I was at that game.
That was tough, man.
Y'all absolutely murdered him.
But that's like Wisconsin.
I'm my boy, Devin Smith.
They're legit like the,
the Tennessee Titans of college football.
Wisconsin's the only team.
Wisconsin is the only team I don't like
talk shit on because it's like,
it's still.
The only thing about Wisconsin.
I got full like a little boy
when somebody brings up,
oh, you're going to talk shit on Wisconsin.
It's like, all right, please don't.
Please don't do this.
I don't want to.
We're not.
We're not going.
The thing, the only thing, the only thing I don't like about
Wisconsin is,
Too many white guys.
I think there's too many white guys in that football team.
What's wrong with?
I don't know.
I just think there's like a number.
They're trying to do better, though.
We're doing better.
We're doing better.
You guys got, look at that.
You all of them.
Yeah, it's a lot of, it's a lot of white boys.
You know what I mean, you know?
It's a lot of white boys.
There's definitely a lot of white boys on the squad.
Look at that.
That's definitely a lot of.
That's a lot of that.
That was a bad.
That was a bad.
That was a bad.
That could be, that could have been Nebraska too.
The Nebraska was like that too.
Nebraska was like that.
The Michigan had it right.
There was like four of us.
It was like solid.
I think that was like, that was solid.
Four white guys?
Yeah.
Oh yeah, you got those squad.
The specialist in me.
You went to school with Funch?
Yeah, absolutely.
I was Z in college.
He was, uh,
he was good dude.
He was a little wild in the beginning and then he figured it out.
But he, you know, he came in as a tight end.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
He came in as a tight end and he was not good at blocking.
Yeah.
And then they realized like, yo, this dude's like extra athletic.
Right.
He's a freak, though.
He's a freak.
Yeah.
So they really started putting them out a little bit, playing wide receiver a little bit more.
Like, he was a tight end, but he was always split out.
Oh, okay.
You know what I'm saying?
And he was, he had some crazy moves.
He was hurtling dudes in the Ohio State game.
Who's this?
Devin Funches.
He talked trash, huh?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He was in the beach.
Yes, he would have.
He talked trashed, huh?
Not sure, but, like, people on the team.
I know he, I know he, I know he did.
What year?
Kevin Funches was, when you did you graduate?
Me?
Nah, bro.
I don't even talk trash now, but I'd be too tired, bro.
Really?
I got to say that.
trash. I think it's the best.
I only talk trash as someone like, you know what, me and be extra.
Right.
I didn't run the system.
I then got muffs and people out on what in college.
Probably Minnesota was the only team.
A couple of other teams where I get turned up.
But you have to push my buttons for me to get started.
So what Minnesota do?
What they say to you?
So that's when we had like James and Monty.
So I already wasn't getting no playing time.
So I was barely getting in the game.
and then like, bro, it was just being extra, bro.
He just, like, grab my legs and, like, just, like,
I felt like he's trying to hurt me, so I muffed him.
And then, like, after the game, it was like, you know how we chopped down the goposts?
Yeah.
Well, they stopped doing that after that year because, like,
they had stood in front of, like, the go post trying to stop us from, like, chopping it down.
It was just going to be, like, a big brawl.
I don't even think they got that on TV.
They probably cut the cameras off.
It jumped crazy, though.
It was going to be a big, like, big fight between all of us.
Wisconsin and Minnesota was like that?
Yeah, bro, like, bro, hate them.
Really?
I hate them now.
Yeah.
Is that like a trophy game?
Yeah.
Yeah, but Minnesota's got a trophy game with everybody.
Damn there, though.
They got like seven trophy games.
Not brutal.
With you guys?
Yeah, they got the brown jug with us.
Brown jug one, that's right.
They got a trophy games with everybody.
But like Minnesota, when you're Wisconsin, no offense to the gophers, I think the,
and their unions are rad.
I think Dinky Town, the little area you can go party at is cool.
But they're not competing with Wisconsin.
I mean, they're getting up there.
They are getting better.
Are they really?
No, bro.
They're starting to get better, bro.
They beat us.
What does it?
What was the record last year?
Look that up.
Well, getting better, like, how'd you think of them when you were playing?
Oh, I thought that's a W.
Yeah.
Easy.
Oh, yeah.
It's not thought of it.
Yeah.
I thought of us like that anymore.
I don't think we were really close.
It's kind of like Purdue.
Like, Purdue's like playing tough.
Yeah.
See, Purdue's always a team that, like, beats,
always beats Ohio State, though.
Like, we would have the hardest time of the Ohio State.
Obviously, it went one and three.
But look, look at Minnesota.
Nine and four.
That's solid, actually.
That's good for them.
It looks like they're ahead of one.
It can't see right there.
That's really good for Minnesota.
That's good for them.
Yeah.
Was it the last year, Wisconsin was like almost in the Big Ten Championship, right?
If they were to beat with Iowa?
Yeah, we smoked it at the end.
I feel like we smoked it at the end.
Yeah, I think we lost Iowa to.
That was always a hard game, yeah.
We went to the Bayton Championship game when it was Michigan and Iowa.
And I remember thinking because I remember it was between Iowa and Michigan,
or Iowa and Wisconsin to play us.
And I was like, Iowa, easy.
But for some reason, Wisconsin, low-key, like,
You can't stop the run against them.
You just can't stop the run.
Yeah.
Their offensive linemen are just built different, dude.
Yeah, they're big as hell.
Go ahead.
I was going to say, because when we played y'all,
y'all were like seven and six, weren't you?
Or like seven and five or something?
Hold on, man.
In the Big Ten Championship.
Seven to five?
Weren't you?
But hell no.
You guys had like a tough year.
Because remember, Ohio State, Ohio State didn't get to play,
and I don't think neither did Penn State.
Oh, okay.
Oh, okay.
All you're talking about the, okay.
Okay, yeah, yeah.
Because you guys had like not your best year
because we had beat you guys earlier in the season.
I know what's funny you talking about.
And even then when we had to play you on the Big Ten Championship,
who lost to?
We didn't, I know, who was our quarterback that year?
I'm trying to think of who we played.
Holy shit.
Yeah, you guys were 7 to 5.
Oh, my God.
He's 7 and 5.
One of them losses we didn't care about, though.
Let me just put that out there.
With the Pist State game, we didn't care
because we knew we was going to Big Ten championship.
It was cold that game, nobody cared.
And Ohio State was suspended because they were like
undefeated.
Yeah, so we knew he was going to get in, so no one even cared about that game.
Yo, you guys didn't really care?
Nah.
That was that wild for me.
That was that going to a game like that.
Right?
Huh?
Was that the last game of the year before the victory?
Bro, it was the coldest game I played in my life.
For real?
The coldest game I played in my life ever, bro.
And nobody on the team cared about that game because y'all knew you were getting out.
We all here and nothing.
I for sure didn't care.
I was Thursday.
I was getting a jet sweep here and there.
We ain't had a heated benches, bro.
So we had to thug it out, bro.
He said we had to thug it out, bro.
Now, are you, are you mad when you're a third string behind those dudes?
No, I mean, I understood.
Monty was a highman finalist in James, bro.
He was so consistent, bro.
He never, he never, I've never seen a person like never make a mistake.
Right.
All my years of watching James, I don't think I've seen him make one mistake, bro.
Maybe one.
Right.
Like, out of my years.
So I just knew that, you know what I mean?
It was going to be tough.
You know what I mean?
You know, you know how I go.
Y'all, y'all fucking murdered us this.
Yeah, nah.
Because we've pissed that.
first game we played y'all.
Y'all won that one?
You guys in like the fourth quarter.
It was like low 30s.
It was like 33.30 maybe.
That probably won a loudest stadiums.
I've been there.
You all get black shirts?
They need to get rid of that name at this point.
Hey, come on now.
Don't do that.
Nebraska.
Get it out of here.
Nebraska's stepping up last year.
Get it out of there.
Bring up the Nebraska defensive stats.
Don't even need to.
Just know this.
Nebraska lost every game by less than seven points.
By less than a touchdown.
Single digits.
Single digits.
Sorry. For real?
That was last year or what?
This is this pat last year.
So y'all getting better too.
Y'all on that Minnesota like, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, we're back on the come-up.
It's not saying much, though, bro.
Well, no, no, you got to put more in the wind column to be on the come-up.
But, like, they're like, they show promise.
We're nine.
That's a bad, bro.
That's a bad program.
But we're true.
Well, I would, I don't know about that.
Generally, nine plays away from being 12-0.
Nine plays away.
Think about it.
We lost every game by single digits.
I know it's this all time.
Like three.
Brascus.
played Georgia and the next championship, they would have lost by six.
What do you mean, y'all?
I mean, us, but I mean, Iowa.
That's two.
Minnesota.
Iowa's really not like that, dude.
Stop it.
You guys are in the easiest conference.
Ohio State? Okay.
Michigan?
You don't know if you get Ohio State every year.
Are you all the same?
But we lost it in by what?
Three?
We lost in Michigan by what?
Three?
Are you guys in the same conference?
Our schedule was.
They on our side.
They're on the same conference as us.
No, not on the same side.
No, they're on our side.
They're talking about first.
He starts in Ohio State of Michigan.
Conference, then there's divisions.
I'm sorry, my bad.
I thought you're talking about divisions.
Yeah, just about who's in the conference.
Big Ten is the second best conference.
Yeah.
We like, uh...
It's close.
Who do you think is over Big Ten besides the SEC?
Yeah, you're right, I guess.
Yeah, USC and them.
They're not what they used to be.
No, the Pac-12?
No.
Yeah, nah, you're right.
You're right.
I guess you're right.
Yeah, I guess you're right.
And Clemson, that was really it.
Yeah.
I guess you got, like, one, two teams in there that think they, like,
Okay, yeah, you're right
But you're not putting Wisconsin in there
Yeah, huh?
You're not putting Wisconsin in there
I'm putting Wisconsin in what?
It's like one of the couple teams
In the Big Ten
Why would not do something like that?
Why would I?
You just said there's only like two teams
In the Big Ten?
Us and Old State, maybe.
Michigan just won the Big Ten championship
I mean, I don't know, man, Michigan
y'all let me down, man
Hey, they let everybody say.
Hey, they let everybody, man, bro.
I let me down, man.
Y'all let me down, man.
Hey, I'll tell you what,
though, that looks nice on top of Ohio State right there.
That division, this is a real division.
Y'all beat them, right?
And this division is kind of...
No, we got a gritty division.
Your division.
We're hard work, everyone's like, everyone's like nine and four in that division.
Too many white guys.
You guys, too many white guys, too many white guys,
too many low 500.
Bro, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State,
Penn State, everything else.
Yeah, those third teams suck.
These teams are not good.
Maryland, Rutgers, Indiana.
Indiana does have a fire party school, though.
Shout to Indiana on the...
Not in, they got good folks.
They get after it.
But these three, that's...
That's the entire Bay 10 right there.
Those four teams.
No, I think you're being disrespectful.
Hold on, wait.
One, two, three, and then four at the bottom.
Don't get crazy down there with that W.
Which one?
This one?
Hell nah.
What's you?
The other real one.
That red logo.
That W.
He's talking about Wisconsin.
About us.
Everybody else, though, I can care less.
Decent, Tier 2.
That's a close to being a tier one.
And then, buddy, how are you going to put Iowa who won the division?
The tier two.
And then Wisconsin just because we like that.
I'm saying the last.
in the last five years.
I was been a tough team.
Last five years, y'all not even in conversation.
Y'all should have stayed over there.
You're right, you're right.
Take it easy.
I'm not trying to fucking argue that.
I'm just saying we had a tough year this past year.
Y'all been having tough years.
Since Bo Pellini.
You think Bo Pallini should go back?
No, not.
I was trying to say some shit.
Hey.
Amen.
That's crazy, bro.
I mean, we were literally nine and ten of four.
I'm surprised to come out and be decent this year.
They're talking about them right now.
I guarantee they'd be decent next year.
Not better than us, but decent.
Hey, but you just switched up big time, though.
Do you kind of feel the way you did that?
You're talking about how trashed Nebraska is.
Now you're like, hey, they might have to do this year.
Because that's what happened when you talk trash about somebody and then like,
and then, you know, it's just, that's how stuff you're working, bro.
They're going to be decent next.
We had, what's decent, though?
Six wins?
They're going to bowl game?
They get a bowl game for sure.
Okay, that's true.
Hey, that's a big come up.
We're nine and 14.
I think we're nine and 14.
I think we're 9-14.
I think so.
Y'all seen a picture?
I do not in a business.
Big O'I-L-Lignment?
You got to cut it out.
That's why I was done with Nebraska day.
Pull it up.
Somebody pull it up.
Somebody pull it up.
Somebody pull the picture up.
No, right now, for real, though,
because that's out of control.
Trust me, I tweeted about it.
That's out of control.
I just...
I said we need to figure that out.
Come on, gay.
Come on, game.
Come on, game.
Come on, game.
Hey, that's my ability.
Come on, game.
Stop it.
Come on.
Hey, cameras.
Come on now.
I'm with you.
I agree with the brain.
I agree.
Come on now.
Come on now.
He was a traitors.
He was a transfer from Oklahoma State.
Bro.
How could they post that?
You got to respect that 77, though.
I like the seven.
The colors five, the jersey fly.
The pose, though, is what we need to talk about.
Who's more fault?
The kid or the people that are letting him do it?
Bro.
How much he weigh, bro?
I'm with you, bro.
That's not cool.
It's not a good look for us.
As a lineman, bro, I see me, I like my linemen, like, like, dirty, like eight holes.
Scummy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hour once a week, time five.
Right there, I'd be like, I don't know.
A little smelly.
No, nothing to the kid, though.
Look at that.
That's us with him right there.
I can't play with y'all.
That's kind of a good deal, though, right there, huh?
You see mine.
I'm not going to play with you either.
He's sitting on the ground.
My man is sitting on the ground right there.
I'm not going to play with neither one of y'all.
My man has his sack is touching the ground.
I got like a, what?
That showed me that you don't do this on the regularly.
Yeah.
He's having a, he's having a couple of cameras.
He's having a great conversation.
He could, he just talking to you on that posture.
I just, you know, it's just a lot.
I know, it doesn't.
I don't like gymnasts do that.
They do the splits and just talk to you about something.
What's the story behind that since y'all?
He got y'all.
We did a spring football tour and we ended up in Nebraska.
And I don't know.
I'm pretty sure he came up to us.
He came up to me and was like, hey, I want you to know I thought your tweet was funny,
but at first I was pissed off.
Oh, really?
Yeah, he was me.
mad at first.
Oh, what you say?
And I was like, bro.
I tweeted like shit you're saying.
I'm like, what are we fucking doing here, boys?
I'm going straight to a mirror.
Are we able to bring it up?
Are we able to bring it up?
No.
I know I know he was pissed.
Oh, my gosh.
He was like, I was tight at first, but then I, uh, everybody was telling me about like,
bro, I thought it was somebody in Wisconsin at first when I had seen it.
I was like, I know we're not doing this.
Oh, you legit.
That mad.
I was like, I know we're not doing it.
There's no way.
It's a weird little deal. It's a weird for it is.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Brug, come on, game.
It's not good.
It's not good.
Oh, my God.
The glory written somewhere in the building.
And we're out here going full spread eagle padded.
No, no doubt.
That poor bastard still upset, dude.
Poor Hunter.
Is that how he announced his commitment?
Come on, fans.
That sounds hilarious.
That sounds hilarious.
That's how he announced it.
Oh, that's what he said he's committing?
Yeah.
Wow.
Some dudes just do different shit.
Wow.
What?
He's got a bowl game or now?
He starts.
He's there in a bowl game?
Hey, respect to seven.
Is he starting out?
I'm not sure he might be a star doing all.
It'd just be crazy how this world were.
He is a-
fucking, do you.
He's doing this and be a star, bro.
Like, that'd be crazy, right?
Pull up up Clemson when they won the national championship.
That I do think I was Jeffrey number,
in the first round by the Dolphins
was doing this, what's twerking that thing.
Yeah, he, like, dropped down to him.
He dropped that shit down, bro.
He dropped that shit down.
He was looking and then hit, like,
he definitely, he was OD too.
I let Mike Williams hear about that.
Yeah, I definitely let Mike hear about that.
But that shit's funny.
No, it definitely was funny, though.
That was funny, though.
Oh, that was funny?
That was funny, though.
It was like, he tripping, but it was like,
when you were going.
You know what I'm going?
You know what I'm saying?
He had a little bin in that joint dough.
You know what I'm?
I don't know.
Get everything fuck you want.
That's your...
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that's it.
That's an O-D.
That's an O-D.
Hello, D.
Hello, D.
I don't know.
He's third, though.
He's a good for 30 seconds.
He tried to,
man it up at the end, though, with the bones.
That's a little...
He tried to...
Hey, pull that back, dude.
He tried to muscle it up, though, at the end.
What do you mean muscle?
He'll...
Let's just hit the camera all the time.
He's definitely wild.
He's wild.
He's...
He's...
He definitely.
He's definitely wild.
I never, yeah.
Nah, he's cool, but he.
Oh, bro.
Somebody called Mike Williams, man.
They know what they're doing in Clutchman, right?
Yeah, he was.
He's a wild boy for show.
I don't know he did the leg lift in the air thing.
I mean, it's all right, though.
I don't remember that either.
I didn't remember the second one.
I remember the first one.
That was like, oh, that's cool.
He doesn't.
But when he holds that in the air,
he definitely hit that at some frat parties.
He's got the flexibility.
He's a couple of things there.
Frat parties doing that.
But I'm saying he put his foot up, and when he hit the ground, I was fine.
And then he's the bouncing.
The bouncing.
Yeah.
Where are we bouncing on?
That's fact.
You know.
Hey, look, man.
Y'all not going to put me in this.
Y'all not going to put me in this heat, yay.
Don't talk about the twist, gang.
It's a dude you want to say that.
But it's like, wait, that's pretty aggressive.
Yeah, you know, you know, Melvin went on a Sunday conversation.
Oh, really?
How was that?
What was that?
What was talking about with, um,
Caleb father?
Hey, bro, he funny as hell, bro.
Bro, he is so funny.
He probably one of the funniest dudes.
Was he acting the way he was acting on the show before, like, during takes?
Or not takes?
A little bit.
You could definitely tell it was there.
I don't know, bro.
He's funny as, bro.
He funny as hell, bro.
I can say he was a little bit different, you could tell.
But when the camera went on, bro, he just went into, like, his mode.
Bro, like, you can't help but laugh, bro.
Because he'd be so serious, though.
That is so funny.
His questions, though, V's, bro.
I ain't got ston't
like that in a while, bro.
Are you really?
Were you really a dairy farmer?
No, bro.
He was just talking, bro.
That's what he said.
He said.
I was like, bro.
But you were really racked to when he was saying?
I was like, man, was he really a dairy farmer?
I'm at the ass?
Yeah, bro.
Like, the mile high question he asked me,
like, what does it feel playing in a stadium
that's so high or something like that?
I was like, bro.
I don't even know what to say to that, right?
Like, he.
You may turn it off?
Yeah, turn it up a little bit.
It's a good.
Last for six days.
Somebody broke.
Bro.
Just off the top.
Bro.
This off the top.
Lassing too long is overrated.
This is off the top.
If I hit 21 this year, I'm pretty proud of that.
Lenny balls.
I hired Glenny balls based on the speed.
He's fast.
He's like he's fast.
Yeah, for my side.
He's fine.
I'm wearing not running shoes right now.
What's he wearing?
Are he about to sprint?
Yeah, bro.
He fined his 40.
stance.
They should bring him in every year and let him just run out.
Push out, brother.
You got to keep your head down though.
Push out, brother.
Get down.
Three.
Oh, we.
Oh, my God.
So serious.
It's dumb.
Why'd you answer it like that?
That shit for real, bro.
That pain.
You know what it is.
You know that thing, bro.
Hey, we're just over here watching a fucking news of a podcast here now.
It's so fucking funny, dude.
Hey, kill a bitch.
The guy is the funniest dude in the world.
Nah, bro.
He hilarious, bro.
Did it suck when your record got broke after like six days?
I was pissed, I was pissed.
I tried to hold it together.
When the dude first told me, I'm like, nah, it can't be.
I was like, break out of it was another record that I just, that I had that he broke.
It can't be the one that.
And how many yards was what you ran for?
Like 405 or something like that.
Against Nebraska.
Hey.
Black shirts?
Did you guys ever black shirts then?
Yeah, nah.
Yeah, I was locked up.
You know what it happened.
You know what happened if I was on the field.
You're right, 404.
A year before, three dudes get 600 yards.
God bless this.
That got broken what, six days later?
Bro, next week.
Samajé P. Ryan, Oklahoma.
I could have about 500 on y'all, bro.
Keep it a band.
It wasn't me.
I did not play that 4-40.
When he said, keep it a band?
Keep it 100.
Okay, got you.
Keep it a bean.
Keep it 1,000, man.
Yeah.
So you think you could have got 500 on them instead?
Yeah.
What happened?
The score got out of hand?
Well, it was a tight game.
It was a tight game.
That's why we was in.
But then the fourth quarter, we started.
You know what I mean?
Randy got hurt, a couple players.
And obviously, it just got out of hand, so they took me up.
But I wish I to stay then.
Because that shit pissed me off.
Those are the best games when you're playing.
And you'll literally like, oh, this is kind of like, I'm just killing it right now.
Yeah.
And that was a big game.
You're like, now let me get four more plays.
I started out bad, though, bro.
You were both like 8-1.
Ranked 8-1.
It was an important game, bro.
It was a big game.
Bro, and we were up like seven.
17 to 3.
Nah, they was on our head, bro.
Yeah, I was, I was, like, watching the hotel room, and I'm hype.
Oh.
And.
Who are you playing that week?
I can't remember.
Really?
Yeah, I was just hyped that the boys were playing Wisconsin because they, I mean, bro,
they, like, they took our lives in the Big Ten championship game.
Yeah.
And they were good the next year.
Like, Amir was a senior running back.
Like, it was a hype game.
And we were up, like, 17 to 3, and he takes a long one to the house, like, hurdle somebody.
And Bo is, like, going off on the defense on the sideline.
I'm like, bro.
it's only like the first or second quarter like just chill out like yeah yeah yeah keep your head coach
you wait to the third quarter to start doing that once he was just brutal violently yelling at him i was
like fuck man the boys they might fold i sure shit enough fucking folded fucking folded bro so you think
bolelin is the reason why they lost that game i don't think he's the he's not the only reason
but obviously he's the head coach so you gotta keep your head on you got to keep your head on
it it was a good game at the beginning it got 400 at the beginning you said you said you weren't
doing good at the beginning, though, what happened?
No, I had like, bro, I had like two fumbles at the beginning.
I had like two fumbles, bro.
Smoking it. One of my best friends had a fumble.
We was smoking the game, smoking dope, bro.
Yeah.
Bad.
And then it just, I had that one play and they just start flipping.
O'Lions start opening that junk up.
That's crazy, bro.
You guys, the lines have always been crazy.
They're always, let them boys.
I was like bigger than some NFL offensive line?
Yeah, they always have some stat.
Because when I was the seniors, they were all bigger than the Green Bay Packer.
You know Big Rob, right?
Have a sign?
I don't think so.
Big Rob from the Rams?
No, I don't know Rob.
No.
I thought y'all boys.
I heard he's a good dude, though.
Oh, he's a good dude, yeah, because I know Witt and I know Saffled and they both played
with him.
They love him.
Yeah.
You know Travis Frederick?
I don't know him personally, but I'm a fan of Travis Frederick.
He's a good dude.
I hate his story.
Yeah, what was it a neck thing?
It was like, I heard it was like some disease or something, bro.
I don't know.
But he's a good dude.
Have you talked to him since he's retired?
I spoke to him like once, I think, but
yeah, he got some
I think that's what it's called.
Autoimmune disease.
He was a beast.
Bro.
He was a beast.
The best center in the league for a minute.
Yeah, he was.
I seen him get, bro, as cold as he was,
bro, he's always been like super, super, super fire.
But it was, it was this other lineman.
He played defensive lineman, and his name was Ryan Koskin.
And, bro, they was doing like some, I don't know,
Herb used to...
Herb, you know Herb?
The strength coach?
No, I don't.
He went to Michigan.
Really?
Yeah, he went to Michigan.
He left us and I think went to Michigan.
But I seen him get flipped, bro.
Like, Kasi just flipped, bro.
That shit was ridiculous, bro.
And that motherfucker is one of the strongest people I've ever met.
And Ryan, like, flipped him, bro.
I was like, nah, this's not real.
Like, Ryan, I think he, he end up switching to, like, I think...
I want to say our left guard, my senior year.
He didn't end up playing.
too many injuries, bro. He was a beast, though.
I seen Travis get flipped on his back.
Oh, that's the worst when dudes go, like, are, like,
studs, but they, like, it's all gone by college.
Yeah. At the end of college. I mean, teams, one of them,
but he was just, bro, he was out there
playing with a tour tricycle. Like, he was like a dog,
bro. Damn. That's why I like dogs
in my office line. You a nice guy doing
splits and stuff, bro.
It's just not really,
it's not what I'm used to, bro. I don't know.
Trust me, I feel you. We're on the same page.
I think all of us are sitting here in agreeing
what you're saying.
Okay.
But we're also on camera.
Because I'm the Nebraska guy.
Yeah, look at me.
It's really, yeah.
You know, you don't want to say nothing too harsh.
Yeah.
You know?
Because the boys.
Yeah.
Yeah, the boys.
You're for him.
Hunter.
We love you, baby.
Have you, uh...
Have you talked with Chris Borland?
I haven't spoke to Chris in a while.
Yeah, what happened with that man, dude?
He was a beast, no.
He came out.
He came out your ear, right?
No.
No.
It had to be.
Because he played one year for, uh, the, what, the 49ers?
Yeah, he was a monster
He played like a couple years
Tackles
Yeah
Played like a couple years
Bro, he was
Bro, he was so beast mode
I was trained for the combine
When I saw him tired
I was like this dude
He played one year
Oh, okay
No, he jumped over
That so we don't get
I remember when he's a fucking
Being hard game
When y'all came to Lincoln
He jumps over
Our offensive linemen
Smacks Rex in the backfield
Bro
I mean he's a savage
He was like that
He was a really like that
He was a dog bro
He was a dog
I mean he just stopped playing
Because the
The brain stuff.
He was worried of the brain stuff.
He didn't have brain stuff.
He didn't have it.
I think he was just worried about it.
Which I get.
And he's just like, yeah, I'm going to go do something else.
He's probably really good at.
Mentally, too, he was just a bird.
I mean, as far as it were like injuries.
I mean, I just watched him and stuff.
I kind of got the best of Chris Boreland one day in practice.
He went to fight me, bro.
I'm like, man.
Oh, really?
Really?
What happened?
It was like he went looking, I think.
And like, it was like a, I think I like,
I think I blocked him and like put him on his butt.
And it's Chris Borland.
Like, he don't get embarrassed.
Like, he's just, it's just, it was just a kid.
Right, right, yeah.
Yeah, he was like, one play in all my years.
You know what I mean?
And he wanted, I remember after the end of practice, bro,
he wanted to fight me on a W.
I'm like, man, Chris, like.
Fight him the W?
I'm like, Chris, right.
I'm like, Chris, right.
Let me, uh, let me see on the W real quick.
But he was, right.
Go get your boy telling me out of the W.
That was right.
Walking back and forth.
One corner of an edge off, got the head pads on.
Bro, so strong, bro.
I mean, it's really...
Bro, he rarely got embarrassed.
I got lucky, honestly.
It's just what it was.
And he's low-key could rush the passer a little bit
with the little spin-rovis guy.
He's a beat with the 49ers.
Bro, he'd have got paid, pay, pay, what?
He would have been...
He's a hall of fame potential.
Oh, for sure.
You have a hundred and twenty tackles your rookie year.
You gotta have hard to quit.
Wasn't it a hundred and twenty?
Look up his...
I do know, I do know in like a three or four-game stretch.
He had like two picks, like 40 or 50-some tackles.
He was making his...
He was that Keeckley guy.
He gave me, because he played with us in a Nebraska championship, right?
Yeah.
And I think that's when he first gave me my props, bro.
I felt good that day.
Oh, for real?
He was like, now you officially like.
Because the Jet Sweep was big for y'all that game.
Yeah.
He was like, now you officially growing up.
I was like, yeah, that's what happened?
What happened?
After the Big Tech Championship against Nebraska.
And we were like, me, James and Moni went crazy.
And then he walked up to me after.
He was like, now you, you know what I'm saying?
He just finally gave me credit.
I was happy to him.
How often he'd do that.
It was dope coming from him.
Everybody looked up to Chris, though,
right?
He was just like, yeah.
He was like one of those guys, bro.
He just...
It's very rare that a teammate or a player
has that kind of like,
not authority, but like vibe over guys.
We were like, he says something nice,
and you're like, damn.
And I was a young boy, too, you know what I'm saying?
And so getting like that recognition from Chris,
it was just like, okay, I arrive for show now.
Right, like a dude who's like a savage on the field.
Yeah, I'm like...
He's rushing the pastor for real.
Yeah, bro, like that.
Oh, bro, he could legit.
do a little bit off the edge.
Like an inside backer in like he's stout,
like he's a short guy.
Do you guys ever, I know this about you,
but do you ever like watch college football now
and just be like, man, that's the slowest football ever?
Yeah, bro, I don't really even watch it for real
unless it's like, you know, big games or like...
Wisconsin versus Nebraska?
Yeah, Wisconsin.
Do you guys bet on your teams in the locker room?
Sometimes, for sure.
It's all about them.
Nothing more than the $250 bet that NFL.
It don't be crazy.
I mean, some guys be making some crazy, but it don't be...
Probably $250.
I'd be a little scared.
Because every time I bet with my school, they lose, bro.
That's all, I'd be kind of scared to bet.
I stick around 20 bucks.
Yeah.
I lay my heart in the line.
If I'm going to bet, I'm not a better, but when I do bet, I'll lose everything.
Oh, man.
You know what?
I got to do a lot.
When we play Michigan State, I had a, what, a minute-long monologue about how Michigan
States can get their ass beat, and we lost.
Yeah.
Did I eat that?
Yes.
We tried that game.
No, I went with Michigan State.
Y'all had too much hype.
That's crazy, my guy?
It's crazy.
I was, you guys.
I was invited you on the podcast.
But it was just, it was just the way it was aligned up, bro.
I'm like, yeah.
Actually, no, I took Michigan because my best friend played for Michigan State.
And I'd be liking to laugh in his face when they lose.
I like that.
I don't sound like a good best friend move.
Hey, man, it is what it is.
Sometimes it is a good friend move.
It's, you have to keep your friends in check every once in a while.
Keep them humble.
I can't agree with them all the time.
You can't be nice all the time.
Oh, are you?
wear new merch?
Yeah.
Is that new merch?
Yeah.
You know, it's hard, though.
We, uh, when Will and I started this podcast, I had a daughter and now I have two daughters.
And Will just, how old's your kid?
Uh, seven weeks.
Seven weeks old.
And all of a sudden, we got girl dad merch.
I got two girls.
That's crazy.
Isn't that fucking wild?
It is.
What are you?
What are you trying to do?
Snake, Will.
What are you trying to say?
You're a snake.
How am I'm my snake?
I'm just kidding, dude.
Come down.
Hey, don't be so sensitive.
I know, I know my fault.
Not a lot of sleep last night.
Oh, really?
You say you don't have kids, but hey.
From one...
The first six months is no joke.
It's a hassle, bro.
It's not a hassle, listen.
I wouldn't say, okay, hassle is probably wrong.
No, yeah, and I probably came out to Tuesday when you said that.
They might be like, oh, so I'm a hassle dad.
Okay, maybe that's not the right.
At times.
It's hard.
It's tough.
Yeah.
When you, the first six months is no joke, you're like, I got to get through this.
So it was a timing, because I know most guys try to have it during camps so they can, like...
Hey, you're weird weather?
I don't know those tricks
to this not.
I have both my kids in July,
July 5th and July 20th.
July 5th was cool because they got like three weeks in,
dad did the fuck out of it, dad of the year nominee,
and then I was out of there.
But July 20th, I was like there for five days.
I was like, see you guys, six months.
Go on. See it at the hotel.
That thing is crazy.
You feel, like, you do kind of be like, man,
when I had my first kid, I remember it being like
July 22nd. It was my birthday.
And I was like, I cannot wait to get the camp.
I was not to get sleep.
That's crazy.
That's how I was really feeling.
Yeah.
You know that feeling?
Did y'all start with a dog first?
I'd be thinking should I get a dog?
Yeah.
For the transition, you know?
That's what my parents did and that's what we did as well.
We got a little English boy.
Dog before you got the kid.
That was like a thought process for you guys?
Well, no, remember Charles surprised me with waffle.
I know, but we got something like getting a dog so you can like make sure you can have kids like with a kid.
I know.
I know that's kind of how I thought.
Like I'm thinking, I want to get a dog.
You can take care of a dog.
You can take care of a dog.
You can take care of a kid.
But you feel like you have a dog.
like an extra responsibility.
Like if you try to leave on the weekend,
you got to figure out what's the deal with your dog.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Which is like a little responsibility with the dog.
That's all.
So you don't have a dog?
What kind of dog would you want?
Uh, bro.
I know it's not like masculine, right?
Oh, please say Chihuahua.
Bro, no, sorry.
The golden doodle, bro.
I like that.
Oh, no.
Is that that's not a good dog?
We just went off on golden doodles
like last week on the podcast.
Bro, that dog's all hard.
What do you mean?
It's not like masculine, but like, you know,
No, it's not about bad.
As puppies are cute, dude.
Just like all dogs when they're puppies are cute, dude.
You want a dog that is not necessarily masculine but dope?
These guys right here.
Tuwawa game?
You kidding me on the dog.
You guys need me able to serve a dog is now we look at Chihuahua.
Bro, that dog, we are broke.
You're the weakest dogs.
Y'all was talking, bro.
Golden doodle look better than that, huh?
I'm hanging around.
Yeah, I would agree.
I take a golden duttle over at Chihuahua.
Hey, I feel like, you were mad because I made the girl that comment.
I get it.
You're laughing at all.
Literally, we can go to take the animal.
with that? A cancorsal? I was thinking about
a can corso. I was thinking about that
because I want a daughter to protect the fam, you know what
saying? Just think about the future. They get big, bro.
Would you snip the ears, or would you keep them floppy?
I'll keep them floppy, gang.
Yeah.
I don't like the little, you know what I mean?
I'm doing. I'm doing it's good. Come on, bro, you're not
from my back, y'all with that back there, man. That dinosaur, man.
So you go from golden doodle to a cane corso?
My best friend would be on my head
because he'd be like, bro, what do you want at this point?
I'm like, bro, I don't know.
Like, golden doodle.
Brother, golden doodle with your little vibe, bro.
Bray, I say my own vibe with the golden doodle.
It's just like my little homie, bray.
You ain't doing too much.
Like fluffy, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
Bro, you want a dog that doesn't do too much.
You got to yourself a lab.
We were fostering.
We were fostering puppies, dude.
And this little boy named Jake comes.
Don't they look the same, though?
No, pull up a lab.
Dude, they're the most basic looking dog you'll ever see in your life.
There's no, like, it's like when you start playing a video game?
He put in the lab.
Bro.
Hey, bro.
Hey, bro.
He went to search,
lab dog.
He put in the lab, bro.
They're basic, dude.
They're basic-ass-looking dogs.
No, bro, that's not it, bro.
Why are you going hard on a lab?
You might have to get off airbud,
you might as go get you a goaler receiver or something.
Just listen.
I know.
You got the fucking fanny pack around the,
and you got a vibe to you.
So you want the dog to vibe with you.
I'm telling you these dogs,
and I fostered this dog.
His name is Jake.
So you have this dog?
Yes, we have this dog.
They want some cute puffs.
Bro.
Q puppies.
Bro, this dog just lays there and hangs out and he just chills.
And if you get up, he'll get up and walk with you.
And then when he realizes you're sitting there, he's, okay, I'll just lay here then.
The easiest dog in the world.
Made the decision yesterday, I'm keeping them.
I'm keeping that dog.
His name's Jake, and I love him.
Very excited.
Are you on a dog that doesn't do nothing?
No, bro.
It's a little companion, bro.
Just a little companion when I'm in here.
You want a dog that don't do nothing?
It's an English bulldog.
For real, dude.
English bulldogs.
though, I need something hyperalidity, though.
They do, they do, they do.
I don't like to hear all over and all that, bro.
I mean, they don't shit a whole lot.
But all dogs have, like,
anal expression is what they call them.
But they got, like, a, like a...
Stick with them.
Like, a fishy scent that comes out of their butthole.
And since bulldogs don't have a tail
that covers their butthole,
that shit will rub on the furniture.
Like, goddamn, waffle?
You got to, like, wipe her ass and stuff.
I was thinking about that.
I love this shit out of waffle, man.
They're nice-looking dogs, though.
But you was...
You were...
Bro, they're not nice-looking dogs.
Yes, they are, bro.
They're nice, bro.
They're nice.
No, I fuck with Waffle.
I have changed my mind.
I love Waffle.
These dogs have medical issues.
No, bro, they're nice.
You just want to grab their face, bro, and be like, yeah, bro.
You want to love him and dog.
Yeah, you just want to hug them, right?
Boys, that's out, dude.
Get out of here.
He ain't doing too much, bro.
He gets tired quick.
Like, bro, I'm telling you, you got to get that lab.
That's a bad photo right there.
They can't be too hot.
They can't be too cold.
They never want.
If I'm like, hey Wafa, you want to go on a walk?
She puts her head down and walks to the corner because she don't want to go outside.
You don't got to do nothing.
You come in the house, the only thing you wish that they would do is maybe greet you at the door and be fired up.
But they don't do nothing.
They just sit on the couch like, oh, fuck.
My long time's overwork.
I don't like walking upstairs, nothing.
That's not a sound like my type of dog right there.
That great one right there?
Come on, gang.
With the blue eyes.
Bro, you didn't.
I almost bought that dog at one point.
That same dog?
Yeah, one like that.
Almost did.
Because look at him, though.
I want to keep
to explain what I'm looking at here.
He got the blue eyes,
bro.
I'm not enough body for too much skin.
And all that.
Polo's Instagram.
Luffy, bro.
Hey, yeah,
Browles got an Instagram.
Yeah,
well, you've ever posted that thing
for a while, have you?
I don't know.
As Currier,
it's a Waffles Instagram.
Oh, wait.
Look at this.
Is that another cute-ass dog,
bro?
All these photos are edited
just like the Instagram
models, bro.
They have the hat on them.
They say,
why people with dogs
always make Instagrams for their dogs.
Like,
Hey, that's not false.
What's up with that, bro?
Like, I wonder if that's my future, bro.
And another thing, dude, bro.
This is his dog.
This is the dishealing made for this dog.
You got to turn the music.
You got to turn the sound on.
That's the one.
I'm weed, bro.
You're just at home like, this the one right here, huh?
Yes.
This is going to get them right here.
Oh, bro, I was laughing.
Well, I was laughing.
Well.
But he can't say that's white people's shit when he wants a golden doodle.
Bro, golden people's shit.
That's white people's shit.
Golden doodles white people.
That is definitely a white dog.
I don't like the hair everywhere and I get, I get sniffles.
That's the exact one white people say.
That's why why people say.
Yeah.
Yeah, but I like that.
The guy who created Golden Doodles literally said I fucked up.
I should have never done that.
Hey, dude.
Y'all got a lot of people watch our show.
Anybody out there that breed golden doodles, I let's your boy.
Getting the DMs.
I'll let you, boy.
Flying them things.
And another white people thing is, like, we cry over dogs, bro.
Okay, bro.
I'm trying to tell you about this boy named Jake.
Trust me, I heard.
I get really sensitive about that, huh?
I can't.
But when dogs die, white people cry more and way more.
What do you mean?
You're a real sensitive about that, don't you?
I'm just saying, because y' dog owners, bro, I'm not, bro.
So I'm not speaking.
But you're about to have one.
Yeah.
It's a dog, bro.
This dude, I'm telling you that dog in lab.
No, bro, I don't play that.
I don't play that.
What are we not playing? What do you want to let a dog kiss him on the mouth?
Nah, bro.
Y'all tripping.
What if it's a girl dog?
You're all tripping, bro.
What are you mean?
Where y'all tripping, right?
You don't ever want to kiss your dog on the cheek on.
Y'all not laying in a bed with y'all too, huh?
No, that's, we don't do that.
Wait, wait, wait.
Lay with you in the bed?
Bro, y' y'all tripping, bro.
Bro.
No way.
You got Jake in the bed?
You got Jake in the bed?
Oh, I settled as a last up, dude.
Oh, he's got to push me away.
And you all on your couch, too, huh?
Yeah.
No way, bro.
What do you mean?
You know what it is?
He probably had the contemporary house with the fucking black leather furniture.
It's not comfortable at all, but it looks real nice in the pictures.
Ah, bro.
Hey, you know what you need?
He's tried building like an MTV crib.
Yeah, exactly.
Maybe I'll change.
Maybe I'll be.
This man, welcome to my crib and then it opens the door and all the shit comes.
Yeah, it's just contemporary.
You get a golden dude, I think it'll be a little bit different.
I think if you get a golden dude, your NFL career is probably over.
Maybe I'll wait on that minute.
Maybe we're going to wait on that video.
You want to stay home.
You got to get a Can Corso.
I think that's going to protect my family.
I know we're going to be good.
Yeah.
What's, uh, what he's talking about white people's shit?
What's the, what's the, the dog that black people always get?
Rock, Roller, probably.
No, no.
Those Frenchies.
Everything in the NFL guy French, I tell you.
Bro, everybody.
That's a black guy, dog.
No, it's not.
Women and black dudes.
Okay.
I agree.
They're more like, pay it.
All right.
I'm going to put a bunch of fight with that.
You're right, man.
Pits?
Yeah, but I feel like
Friday vibe.
Frenchies, bro.
I feel like that's more like...
You're always on Frenchies out there.
I'm telling you.
And I don't think a French as much either
unless they're like a juice-st-up.
Y'all love to get like juice-up dogs.
Yeah, like something that's going.
A French is not going to protect the crib.
Now, we know a golden dude not going to protect the crib.
But before the golden-doodle, the thoughts,
a French is not fending protect the crib, bro.
You get the shit out that little dog, man.
If you all do the dogs, you put the thick chains on them and shit.
It's hard.
Cubans.
Cuban chains on them.
Nah, yeah, for sure.
For the puppies, they go hard.
That's a little personality.
Pull the pit bull, dude.
The Pitbull X-L.
White, I tell you,
black guys and white supremacist people
love pit bulls.
It's a wild deal.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Hey, you always see Westprivacy's dudes?
Well, I've had a pit bull.
Hey.
And a Rottweiler.
I think Rottweiler's are dope.
Y'all think, like, black people
and, like, white people
name their dogs differently?
I don't know.
I think you do.
My dog's name's Waffle.
Would you name your dog?
No, that's different.
Yours is Jake?
Well, he was...
He was sponsored.
Oh, okay.
He just kept the same name we gave.
I like to name my dog's funny names.
Okay.
That's what's up.
Like, I had a fish name, Woffolston, college.
Your other dog's name was Smoke.
Smoke.
Yeah, Doc Smoke, Akira.
At three dogs.
That's wild.
Yeah, like, you know what I'm saying?
Give them human names.
I think human names were hilarious.
I don't know.
I've been thinking about it, bro.
I don't like...
A human, yes.
A base,
A human name is hilarious.
I don't feel like you should give a dog a human name, though.
What's the first name that comes to your mind?
I don't know, man.
Like blue or something?
Blue's solid?
No, no, no, it's coming out that.
There's no bad idea.
It's a great name.
I wouldn't name that, but that was like...
I think that's kind of a safe name, though.
I think blue's like a safe, good dog name.
Yeah.
Blue?
He's got that blue eyes?
Yeah, I want a dog with blue eyes.
Yeah.
I saw you point that out, that other dog.
You're like, you're about that.
That'd go crazy.
Yeah, blue light dogs are cool.
boo's a good name.
I think waffles is a great name for a dog.
It's different.
I like waffle.
Yeah.
I think noodles is a good name for a dog.
I think you're going to say whatever,
tacos.
Yeah.
Noodle ain't it,
we want to get a,
well,
I want us to get another English bulldog
and name it,
name it chicken.
You got chicken and waffles.
What's up,
bro?
Yeah.
Like Rosco's,
I mean, it's all right.
Actually, I'm lying.
I've never had Roscoos.
You ever had Roscos?
I mean,
actually,
I'm 100% lying.
I'm never had Roscoe.
But I do like chicken and waffles.
Is that, like,
Are these dognacks?
It's decent.
It's just like the names, though.
Gunner, Simba.
Simba.
I like Simba.
You probably like Zeus, too, don't you?
I like the Greek mythology stuff.
It's cool.
Ain't all that, though.
I don't know, but I...
Jack?
I don't like Jake.
Jake is funny.
Those names kind of suck a little bit.
That's that funny as hell.
Writer.
A fair thing.
Kylo.
Joey, Dexter.
Gizmo.
Thor, you probably like Thor, too.
It's hor.
Really?
I'm a Marvel character.
But you can't get a gold dude.
Maybe like these and what these two name their dog's different,
because I don't know about the name of Thor.
Yeah.
I don't know about that.
I wouldn't name my dog that,
but it's hard, though.
It depends on what kind of dog you have.
Yeah, you can't name a Korso Thor.
Yeah.
You can't.
Because it's like a, you know what I'm saying?
It's like a tammot.
You know what I don't feel like you can name a gold deal,
Thor, yeah.
No, that's just funny itself.
You can't do it.
I think you name a gold deal.
Thor is hilarious.
No, sir, you can't do it.
What would you name a golden doodle?
I don't know, gang.
I've been struggling.
I know I wouldn't name on blue.
He's solid.
Well, he just said the first name.
Like.
Cody, you go, Cody.
Nah, bro, that's a human name.
I can't name any human name.
That shit's funny as hell, dude.
Dude, human names for dogs are so fucking funny.
I can't do it.
Loki?
That's hard.
What do you give him like a junior?
Junior?
Melvin Gordon Jr.
Will he be the fourth, though?
He's the third.
All right, make it the fourth.
Nah, gang.
What's your middle name?
I ain't got one.
Are you lying?
Nah, I'm dead ass, bro.
No, no middle of name.
Pull your license.
Huh?
You swear I got one,
I ain't got one, gang.
That's another different thing.
White dudes would never have that.
White dudes would never have that.
Would never have that.
My mom gave it for me, gang.
You like it?
It's hard, man.
I'm very forgetful.
Gang and hard are like your two favorite words.
Yeah.
I'm just said it like 50 times.
Y'all should like see how many times I...
Hey, that would be funny.
That would be a funny thing.
Gang or hard, you got a dream.
Ooh, tough.
I know.
What's up?
There you go.
Boom.
Passport.
Can't get no really than that right there.
My man, international.
Let me know if you see it.
No, Melvin Gordon III.
His passport number is five.
Let me see it.
Let me see it.
It's back when he had the dreads.
Tally it up.
Why'd you cut the dreads off?
I wanted something different.
I might put them hose back in, though.
Take a while.
How long did that take for you to grab it out?
I don't take that long to put them hos back in.
I could be like this and be back lengthy tomorrow.
Real for real for us.
What's lengthy?
That?
No, you couldn't.
Bro, yes, I can't.
I kept my dress in the bag.
They ain't going.
Oh, you can put it.
You can just put it.
No, bro.
It's dead.
That's what it's.
That's exactly what that is, you know.
That's your boy.
That's 11 years right there, that growth.
So you kept it?
I kept my dress.
I put my dress back in.
Well, how do you put them back in?
Brer, like, you just like, I don't know,
the ladies.
extensions. No, bro, you just take your dread and then she could add it to like this right here.
And she just put it here and just like needle it.
It's like taking your regular hair and then taking other hair.
Why you say other hair? It's my hair.
Like I'm going to the box now to go grab like a piece of hair. Like it's my hair.
You can't be like, oh, it's extension.
You grab your own weave. Your own hair. It's your own hair.
That sounds like an extension to me.
Okay, but it's my hair though. So you can't be like, oh, that's like that ain't show hair.
be like, yeah.
It would be super dope is if you did that, like, every other week.
And during the season.
My cousin's, like one week, the next week,
have long-ass hair.
And the week after that, go back to that, that shit would go so hard.
I agree.
Yeah.
Now, if you get the dreads put back in,
oh, here you go.
Oh, yeah.
You want to tell you, now, if you put the dreds back in, like, can they get pulled out easy?
Um, nah, it'd be the same, bro.
You wouldn't even be able to know.
I like the little white pieces in there, too.
That's nice.
That's the signature.
I had it in this.
I'm going to dye my hair all blue.
Really?
Yeah, I'm going to change it up.
I'm going to get 30.
So I got to like, I feel like I got to just try stuff.
To stay young?
Nah, just be like to, it's okay.
Like, it's okay.
I feel like once you get 30 and you get doing too much,
people be like, like, bro, you come on, man, you're too old for that.
Right.
You think so?
Is it?
You know.
No, no, I'm 30.
Tell me.
I'm thinking no.
I think, you know what is the big difference?
Is when you get older, if you get older in the real world, you start doing some people,
but hey, Clark, you should.
you shouldn't be doing that shit.
Okay.
But if you're in the NFL, you can legit,
it's kind of like a free pass.
Really?
To try new shit and do new things.
Maybe I think it could be a smarter move, too,
because you seem younger and you really are.
And once you get on the other side of 30,
you're at, you know, you don't know what that means.
Yeah, you're almost dead in the NFL.
You could die like that any moment.
Bro, it's crazy how they do us.
You get like 20, you get close to 30.
You need to be 30.
Especially for running backs.
Bruh.
I hate the, you guys got that different thing going on.
I hate the position.
Why don't you move positions?
Huh?
Why don't you move positions?
You said, want to switch?
Which positions?
I wish I could.
Really?
Yeah, yeah.
Receiver's like a 30-year.
You don't think I want to switch?
Yeah, that's true.
30 years.
Crazy.
30-year?
That's probably why, oh, boy, from the Niners.
Debo wants to be paid like a receiver.
Also a great name for a dog.
I mean, he is a receiver, but that's crazy how they, bro.
I hate the position running back.
It's extinct.
We ain't going to have a running back in life for you.
I don't know about that.
Okay, fine.
Why do you think that?
Right, they're just trying to get rid of us, bro.
What do you mean?
We're just going to start playing seven-on-seven?
You're trying to talk like your fullback.
Baltimore Ravens, 49ers, Tennessee Titans.
Like, all the three of those teams are...
Right, 30s on teams, you name four.
It's a couple that I only keep it original, bro.
I'm doing my best.
I'm trying to think...
That's what I'm saying.
It shouldn't be like that, bro?
Green Bay.
No.
They run it.
No, they don't.
Green Bay don't.
Okay.
They have the same offense as us.
That's the reason why I went to that.
Atlanta.
No.
Yes, Arthur Smith.
Oh, man.
Where they run?
They ran because they probably has who?
No, they probably threw because they had to.
Because they were down all the time.
Running to keep honest, bro.
With Patterson.
Yeah.
There's only so many others.
They're talking.
They threw it, but I'm saying they also ran it.
But to say they run it, like, come on, bro.
No.
Y'all.
Philly?
Philly?
That actually surprises me a little bit.
No, that don't surprise me.
Philly.
I'm surprised me.
New Orleans.
Yeah, Indianapolis.
What was I thinking?
Yeah.
Cleveland.
After five, bro?
Oh, Baltimore can be up there.
Yeah, 11.
You could say after 11.
Because you...
Yada was up there too.
You look at Arizona.
You're like, well, they don't really...
All right, you got like six teams, bro.
No.
Philly's...
Philly's one.
The Rock?
Philly.
Tennessee.
Coats.
New Orleans.
Without Drew Breeze, they were running the ball.
Way more.
49ers.
Yes.
Colt, yes, Cleveland, yes, New England.
They did a whole game and threw the ball three times.
Because it was a hundred miles far away.
My stats are my stats right now, baby.
Oh, we go.
No, Washington, no, Chicago, no, Denver, no.
Baltimore, yes.
Seattle, you literally just said actually won a football.
Yeah, Seattle, Seattle, Seattle.
Minnesota runs it.
That's 10 teams.
The L.A. Rams.
Stop it.
Don't throw it very much.
Stop it.
Stop it.
You said the L.A. Rams don't throw it very much?
No, I was kidding.
Buffalo.
Stop.
No, they actually changed it quite a bit.
That's it, bro.
But why do you think the running back's going to be extinct?
Yeah, that it does.
Are you saying they're going to just have receivers being in your as a spot?
That was a funny joke.
Yeah, bro.
You just think they're going to go to receiver, put them in the back.
You think Patterson changed the game?
I don't think he changed the game.
I mean, it was, I mean, Percy Hartman was doing that, wasn't it?
Yeah, Percy.
The Percy Debo?
Yeah, these were doing that.
But, I mean, that doesn't make.
the NFL.
Just like that.
You're talking to somebody that want to run the ball, eh?
I know what I'm saying, but you made a statement.
We're just trying to see where we're not really.
I just don't feel like it, bris.
Wasn't there almost like a running back union one year?
Not that I know, but no one called you.
Somebody out there.
I felt like there's going to be a one year.
Not like it was actually going to happen, but I know like running backs were talking
about it because I feel like they're different than the rest.
You know.
They just suck, bro.
We went from being like the star.
Like when I was a kid, bro, running back was like what everybody wanted to be.
Oh, yeah.
I think that statement's still true.
Just the money's different.
Bro.
Like...
The money's never for a couple reasons.
One, yes, we're passing more.
Two, running backs get hurt more than any other position.
Do they, though?
They get banged up the most, yes.
I mean, do they get hurt more than any other position?
That's a good...
I mean, life expectancy.
I mean, that's just the...
And you said earlier, your coach tells you only have so many cuts.
Yeah, but you only got so many routes you can run, too,
and so many passes you got, too.
Oh, you can pass that forever.
Lime and do last the longest.
I mean, yeah.
Oh, bro.
No, legs like these.
Well, maybe now with legs like those,
but I'm just saying in general,
like I think offensive linemen
might have, like, the longest life.
Yeah, I think they do it the longest life,
which is crazy.
Our entry reserve was higher than everybody else's?
What's this?
What is that?
What is this?
Ooh, see?
Just running back.
This is one chart.
Yeah, this is one graph.
Yeah, I'm not really feeling this chart.
You're not helping my argument, gang.
He goes,
I go, they get hurt the most of the Oseo, do they?
In my head, I was like, damn, he's got a point.
You're like, man, I guess I don't know.
A lot of people get hurt every year, bro.
Yeah, but still, I mean, running backs, there's a lot of hits.
A lot of hits.
You got to go through.
No, you're right, you're right, you are right, but.
320-pound men.
But we're trying for that, though.
It ain't like.
Yeah, but there's still the human body.
Now, I think the way things are, they're getting a whole lot better.
But the way to get paid as a running back, you have to be a threat.
Yeah, facts.
You got to do a threat.
Yeah, you got to do a threat.
Yeah, that's the only way you're going to make your brain.
Unless you're Derek, honestly.
I don't think there's really other running back that can do...
Just run like that.
Just run like Derek.
He can get in the ball 30 times a game.
Well, I mean, uh...
He needs like 16 a year.
Zeke just runs the ball, mostly.
He runs screens.
He runs screens.
He can, yeah, he is like checkdowns quite a bit.
Like, Derek's not even in third down.
That's a lot of people that love to play over there in that system, bro.
What system?
It's the Tennessee, bro.
Oh, as a running back?
They just appreciate that running game, bro.
Are you one of them?
Yeah, a little one over there.
Let's go.
Do you feel like you could get 2K if you were on the Titans
when Derek was getting the 2K yards?
We were blocking like crazy.
Y'all was going a whole deep, bro.
Y'all was going to go a deep.
2019, even before, was that the 2000 yard season?
No, 2020 was.
2019 at the end of the year, it was like, you watched that film.
It's like, holy shit.
He didn't want MVP, bro.
Oh, 100%.
I feel like 2K is a bat, bro.
You got to give it to them.
That's not easy to do, especially in today's league,
right?
Yeah, for sure won the 100, right.
And they give them player of the year,
which means, hey, you really didn't even get a vote for MVP.
Facts.
It's crazy.
It's like they already knew he wasn't going to be in the run.
It's always a quarterback.
No, they said that up.
No one ever gets player of the year and MVP.
Right.
That's true.
Which makes zero sense because usually the MVP is an offensive player.
And if you got an officer of the year.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
So you, you bias, though, but let me put a little pressure on you.
Go ahead.
Jonathan Taylor, Derek Henry, who you got?
Derek Henry, 10.
Hey, I ain't a lot, though.
He'd probably went for almost, right?
He's been to break the record if he didn't get hurt.
Yes.
What he was doing, though, was old.
He was top five running backs
He was six weeks after.
It was okay.
Okay, it was an LD.
I don't think it's close.
Who are you taking?
I'm biased, though.
I like JT.
Wisconsin boy.
But he fired her, bro.
Like he...
There's nice, too, bro.
Bro, I'm telling you.
J.T. I see, though, bro.
You got to think, though.
I think Johnson Taylor is filthy.
Yeah.
I think he's filthy.
I think he's really good,
but I think Derek's one of those dudes
that we're all witnessing greatness right now.
We sit here and we're watching him.
and then we all 20, 30 years from now,
I'm going to be like telling kids like,
yeah, did you block?
Yeah, I blocked for Derek Henry.
Kids are big, oh, fuck, really?
Yeah, Derek's the man.
He's like that.
Yeah, he's, I think this year is he, yeah.
I think this year for Derek is the most, damn,
it's the most telling year for Derek as far as his legacy.
Facts, facts, facts, fact.
This will, this will put the icing on the cake.
If he, if he can get 2000,
he's a Hall of Famer.
Oh, for sure.
If he gets 2000 again, if he breaks the record,
it's over, dude.
He's a Hall of Famer.
Gold Jacket.
Both of y'all got, both of y'all got good lines, though.
Great lines, actually.
Yeah, our line's solid, the Colts line is fire.
Yeah, bro.
I don't think y'all got, if it's 2,000 yard season,
I don't think y'all got enough credit, honestly.
Yeah, I mean.
Line-wise.
That dude does, his, like, there was a stat that came out.
He was, like, at 2,100, or what was his yards,
like, 20, 46 or something like that?
And then, like, it was, like, 1900 yards average contact.
No, he's ridiculous.
He was ridiculous.
He's just so big, pause.
He's so big, like.
No, no pause, man.
I don't want my homeboys talking crazy, yeah.
Like.
Like, bro, it's so hard to tackle, bro.
But it's crazy, like, what was it?
Four or five years ago, like, Levy on Bell, what's happened to him?
Bro.
You should have stayed with the Steelers, huh?
Him and AB.
He was Hall of Fame.
He was all the fame.
Man, I hate that from running back and receiver, like, splitting that wide.
He was.
He was the dude changing the game for running backs.
He was, he was definitely.
He was changing the game.
And I was questionable now, bro.
His, uh...
He was Hall of Fame.
And everybody, the thing about him, bro, everybody came...
Everybody came...
Every line ain't blocking like that.
How he run, bro?
They had to change.
They, I know they had to change.
They're blocking style for him, bro.
I tried to run like that in a game.
I was like, bro, screw it.
Let me try.
Bro, that junk did not work, bro.
How does he run?
He was like, he's patient.
He can stop, bro.
He can literally stop, bro.
Like, barely patters his feet
and then waits for a hole and goes.
I tried to do that.
That's probably why I didn't work at the Jets for, bro.
I tried to do that, bro.
I try, I'm not doing the game, though.
Not even practice.
I'm trying to game.
I'm trying to game versus Ravens.
Did not work.
Filled, bro.
He was crazy.
Him and Antonio Brown, if they would have just stayed in Pittsburgh.
I don't kind of mad about that.
They were special to watch.
Oh, this game fucking suck.
We got our asses beat this game.
That's the game.
I had one of my best games versus
Tennessee.
Oh, I know.
What was it like,
180 or something like that?
My second year, bro.
Went crazy on us.
Yeah, that was crazy that year.
How about...
2019, though.
Yeah, how about that 2019?
Yeah, I was coming back,
right?
I had a training camp game.
It's all good.
It's all good, man.
You always come back, though.
You were to win that game.
That game saved our season.
That game saved our season, for real.
You played the Chiefs the next week, right?
Yeah, we'll beat the Chiefs going into a bye week.
Going into a bye week.
That's it.
That means.
She won nine and seven in the race.
in the regular season.
The charge, you guys weren't really like that.
How's you like Wiz and Hunt?
You like Wiz as an OC?
He was cool.
Yeah.
He's cool.
He's one of those dudes that's like, when you talk to him, you just know he's smarter than everybody.
And he kind of is like, it makes him seem a little more awkward because of it.
But he's like one of those dudes.
Like he just knows everything about the game and he's always on the game.
It just kind of screwed up.
We're screwed us.
We have some good guys coming through with the charges.
I think what screwed us is injuries, bro.
We, I like, we would lose.
My second year, bro, we lost every player, bro.
It was pretty much me, Phil.
and like everybody else was like
Tyrell like some guy
like no proven guys yet
it was like a lot of guys like me Hunter Henry
guys just new to the lead
trying to make a name.
Everybody was hurt.
My whole line was hurt
my rookie year.
Yeah.
This shit by opportunity.
I wasn't playing with Phil Rivers.
Briggs.
It was dope, bro.
What's a good story with Phil?
I hear a lot of stuff on Phil.
He's not out there a lot.
His trash is terrible.
He's so far as you were at practice too,
bro.
Like he just talked trash at practice
to like the defense coordinator.
bro, he's just so smart, he knows everything.
Like, can't get nothing over.
He said he would, like, watch film.
He lived, like, an hour away.
Yeah.
He would, like, have film set up in the studio.
Yeah.
He had driven to work.
Yeah.
And you have it?
That's fucking wild.
He said it was the same from him when he,
because he would just stay after all the time in San Diego.
So I guess it was essentially the same.
Just, you know what I mean?
You're just moving.
I guess you just mobile watching.
Yeah.
But bro was so smart.
I took that for granted for sure.
Yeah, man.
Didn't he play on a torn ACL?
Yeah.
That was where I got there.
He tore it in, what year was it?
It was with LT them.
It was back in the day.
It was a real game.
He kept playing.
But he's different, bro.
He different, bro.
He different, bro.
He different, bro.
He can kind of do that, though.
And especially a quarterback like him.
But, I mean, you kind of need your base to throw the ball.
Yeah, but Phil was one of those dudes that he was so smart and he saw the field so well.
He would see Blitz is coming and be like, I know that I'd have that check right there.
Oh, I know.
I got this right here.
He was he selling something.
I'm sure you'd be like, hey, Mel, do this.
Yeah, bro.
He just, for the play, it has something, hey, swing rope.
Or you're getting it right here, get open.
Yeah.
Right, it was just, right.
How wild is that, hey, you're getting it right here, get open?
You're like, okay, bet.
And you're like, Ben, I got to go.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, that's a lot.
I'm trying to want to let him down when he's telling you that.
I mean, you don't think about it either, but.
There's so much shit coming.
He's going to be wide open.
Yeah, bro.
And when you have a quarterback that's smart, you know, when you're getting the ball looking like this,
ain't no one coming to take you out?
Yeah, you're solid.
He set me up one time, though.
Ooh.
Got fucked up.
Ooh.
Jalen Ramsey, boy.
Woo.
Oh, Jaylin.
Oh, Phil set me up on that one.
That's Will's favorite player in the NFL.
Took my win for me, boy.
I love watching a play.
That was the hardest hit I've ever taken my life, bro.
From a DB.
Just I can't, I ain't see them coming, bro.
Like, obviously, if it was head up, it probably wouldn't have been, like, the worst hit.
What game was it?
It was the Jaguars.
It was like.
Oh, back on the Jaguars defense was a little filthy.
Oh, had to be.
Now, they was still, they was coming along, though.
It was my third year, I want to say.
16? No, that was my third year.
17. 17. So I got Jayland the first year when we played them.
I think we played them like two years in a row. And then like I earthed them.
It was his rookie year.
You saying it happened?
I hurt them though. Kilting, boom, boom. And then this, bro, that next year, bro.
Bro, I've never got hit that hard in my life, bro. Like, that was a bad hit.
What he said to you?
He's out in the flat?
And they all the, you know, they gasped it.
Melvin Gordon comes to Ramsey Island, like all over the screen.
And I was like, dang, they try me, bro.
They feel apologized?
Nah, it's part of the game.
Damn, I'm like, hey, my bad.
It's part of the game, bro.
It's part of the game.
Gates was just like, yeah, home team.
Come on, sit down.
And the job going at it was wild.
Yeah, bro.
Yeah, that was one of the hardest is.
Just, he didn't see him turned around and just boom.
I was like, eish.
Oh, my God.
And he really does play like that.
No, he do, bro.
He a dog.
He a dog.
I like, bro.
He cool off the field, bro.
And he's like, he, like,
at Coggy or nothing, he just down the earth, bro.
Bro, bro, definitely cool.
When you were going through your contract negotiations for the Chargers,
did you, like, you held out, and then you also said,
I want to be there, too.
Yeah.
So what did, like, at the end of it, what was it for you?
Bray, it's a long story behind.
Well, we're on a podcast.
Do you regret how you handled that situation?
Uh, I wish I did things differently.
It was a lot going on, too.
I think it was tough, too, because you were, like, an elite back,
And that was a year, like, dudes were getting, like, paid.
Like, I want to say...
That was when...
Zee got 15 a year.
I'm like...
Todd girlie got 15 a year.
Because I want to say, like, it's written that they offered you, like, 10 a year.
And it probably wasn't...
You probably were like, you know, no, I need to get...
I need to get to a level like this.
Yeah, so they tried to sign to, like, a two-year deal.
Everybody think, like, they offered me a four-year deal,
but it wasn't a four-year.
They just signed, like, it was like a two-year.
Mm-hmm.
And it was just like...
I don't know, there was some...
A lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, bro.
But...
It just didn't go out how I thought it would be.
Like, people thought I just didn't want to come back.
But I did.
But it just, you know what I'm saying?
And then I was pissed because the fans kind of like turn their back on me.
So I started talking my joint.
It's crazy how things happened that fast, huh?
It hurts, man.
It hurts.
It hurts.
I mean, they turned it back on me the first year as I had a rough year.
And then, you know, won them back.
But I was like charger to the fullest, though.
Like, I hated everybody.
Yeah.
Like everybody, bro, that wasn't, that didn't have a boat.
Like, I was like, I got to die for this.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
You live in college in the NFL.
Bro, pretty much, man.
You know what I mean?
So they was just crazy, but when I'm done playing, I'll come back on here
and I'll explain the story to you, bro.
It's crazy, bro.
For real?
I got manipulated.
Everything happened, bro, it's just crazy.
I think it's tough, too, because you're probably thinking that they might break.
Like, you're trying to hold out to where they might offer you something in training
camp.
So you're like, yeah.
It's ain't working out in my favor because that's when the table starts flipping a little
bit because it's like player versus owner, right?
It's like the player side and then the ownership side.
Yeah, but in the middle.
You know, especially if you're invested.
Well, sure.
I had too many feelings in that, bro.
I had my,
I was invested emotionally way too much.
Because in the middle is coaches and players like your teammates.
And even though it's like extreme size,
the middle kind of, it gets away from you because then when you don't go in,
it looks like you're kind of being selfish.
You're not being a team guy.
From his standpoint, when you're a first round pick two, it's like a marriage more than
it is a business.
Not for real though, bro.
Yeah.
Emotion be in that, bro.
You're in there because you're picked.
You're treated a certain way.
Right.
They had their fifth year options.
They want to pick it up on you.
They start having negotiations.
And, like, you've been, like, their baby for so long.
It seems like, oh, you guys love me.
And then that stuff happened is it like kind of crazy.
Yeah, I'm like, bro.
Like, I didn't get y'all everything.
Like, what are we talking about right now?
There was never a round they passed up on you.
You know, they picked you then.
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
So, like, when you were second and third, fourth rounders,
they've been passed a couple times through every single team.
To you're like, oh, this is legit a business.
You're getting a taste.
of it. But you're going up there, taking the hat, put it on. You're like, they chose me
to be there saving grace. You know what I'm saying? You just get emotional. You do, bro. I had a lot
emotion, bro. I was emotional roller coaster. I was dealing with like, like, my uncle dying and stuff
during this time, like a whole bunch of stuff, bro. It was crazy, bro. It just emotions. And then I
had played like the last year. I was bawling, bro. I was out there with two knee braces on.
I'm like, bro, just risking my career. I'm like, bro, I didn't get everything to y'all,
bro, when a lot of people I didn't seen sit, ride the pond when they get hurt.
They hurt their fingernail.
They, like, I'm sitting through everything I played trying to, you know what I'm saying,
help the team out and get them duds, bro.
And then it was just like, bro, when it's time for y'all to show love, bro, I can't get nothing.
I was hurt by that.
I would hurt.
But, you know what I'm saying?
On story, bro.
At what point, at what point when you were you, like, truly hurt?
Because, like, the first offer they come with, usually is super low.
At what point were you like, damn, like, I'm just kind of, they're not really going to give me what I want?
When did you know you had to leave?
When they signed Austin Echler.
Yeah.
When they signed him to a deal.
That was in the next year, right?
The next off season?
I was like, it was kind of, it was that season.
It was that season.
But yeah, in the next off season pretty much.
But, like, I guess they had told my agent that if they signed Austin,
they wasn't going to bring me back.
But they didn't tell me that to after they signed Austin.
I'm like, why wouldn't y'all tell me that?
Like, I didn't know that y'all that they felt that way.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I'd have tried to work out something, but I never knew that,
or I never knew that if they signed Austin, they weren't going to bring me back.
Because the whole time I was waiting, I'm like, okay, like,
I was just waiting for the charges for something, but, and I just didn't know it
that when they signed Austin, they was going to be over with.
So I was still old key waiting, then my agent told me that.
I'm like, bro, why wouldn't y'all tell me that?
Yeah.
I didn't, I'd have just signed for something, you know what I mean?
To stay back home with the guys, I never knew, bro.
It was over.
So they told your agent something, and then you, you know.
your agent didn't tell you until after it happened?
Yeah, they didn't tell me that.
They didn't tell me that.
No.
Yeah, you got to fire him for that.
Yeah.
He's got to fire him for that.
Yeah.
He didn't tell me that.
What was like that last year, like, you coming back, not doing preseason?
Obviously, like, your comeback, we were talking about that game earlier.
But what was kind of like that last year like for you?
With the charges?
Like around, yeah, around like the, I'm sure the fellas were straight, but around, like coaches.
I was bad, bro.
It was bad.
It was bad.
For real?
Yeah.
Like, bad, like, like, between coaches?
Like, you were acting?
Do you were acting bad?
Nah, I was good.
I was good.
You know what I said?
I kept it cool, but it was just,
it just felt different.
You know what I'm saying?
My last year.
It wasn't how it was supposed to feel, for sure.
When you look back, could you feel them,
when you look back, could you feel them trying to play like Austin Echler
or somebody else into the equation?
No, they kept it.
Because Austin was playing with before I got back,
but they kind of start playing it.
My running back coach is real cool.
Like, he kind of let me and Austin handle the reps.
Like, a lot of people used to get mad, like, oh, you know,
you taking away from Austin.
It was just kind of, me and Austin was really running it for real.
He kind of let us dictate when we want to go in and stuff.
Right.
You know, I let Austin, like, handle some things.
Like, if I felt like it was like a passing down where I feel like, you know,
I feel like he was a little bit better than me in that area.
I thought, bro, go take that, bro.
Like, it was more about winning than it was about me going to get the, you know what
saying, get the yards or whatever.
And then he needed me, you know?
And it's just, bro, it's just, I mean, the media made it seem as if I was just kind of
just taking over.
Austin, but Austin needed me just as much as I needed him.
Well, yeah, one thing you just said, too, is
that your coach letting you,
you two figure it out, and you being
like, yeah, hey, you go, you probably better at me than this.
Yeah. And a lot of guys don't see
that in football. A lot of guys say they're the best
at everything. Yeah. So, like,
even when you're kind of emotional,
how are you able to separate those
things and be like, damn, I guess I got to
understand, like, we gotta win.
Yeah. That's the most important thing.
While also the media is making it seem like you don't give a shit
about winning. Well, forget the media.
because they're going to say
and dictate, they try to, bro, they're going to say
what they say, bro. And I've learned that.
But I kind of, in the back
of my head, felt like this might be my
last year. And I was like,
I'm going to just do whatever to try to win
and get to where we need to get.
It's just sucked because my last year, when I got there,
pounce was hurt. Like, the whole line was backer.
I felt like I was a rookie all over again.
You know what I'm saying? So I knew I wasn't going into the best
situation. But I was like,
if this is going to be my last year with the Chargers,
we got to make it a good one.
People were saying it was just worried that it might be Phil's last year there.
It was a lot of guys that was up.
So in my head, I was just like, bro, forget the fans, forget all of them.
Like, I want to do this for, like, I want to do this for Phil.
I want to do this for, you know what I'm saying?
Some of the guys that I came in with, it was more for the players than just, like, kind of my own personal feel.
Right.
The year before, when Gates wasn't there, the last game, bro, I never forget it.
Like, it was just Gates and Phil just, like, tearing up, bro.
that playoff game
and I'm just like, damn, bro, like.
And then we flew back, like, Gates just had like a shirt
or something over his head.
And I was just like, man, this might be home teams,
like last game ever.
And I couldn't get it done for him.
And I was like, man, if I do come back, like,
I got to go crazy for Phil because this might be Phil's last game.
I don't want to send him out how Gates was, you know what I mean?
So I was like, bro, forget the, forget all that,
forget the sitting out.
I'm finished coming here and try to win some games.
Like, if I feel like Austin can do something better,
me to help us win this game, that's
what we're going to do.
That's kind of, you know what I'm saying?
Kind of how the older guys and me feeling
for them kind of took priority over
everything.
Damn. If you could go back, what's something you think
you would have done differently?
I would have just went to camp, bro, because that
off-season, bro, I train like, bro, dog,
bro. Like, I was ready for,
like, I kept telling myself, Mel, you win
MVP, Mel you win an MVP. I just kept telling
myself that every day, bro. Every day,
bro, like, I was, bro, and, like, fine
tune. I was working out like three, four times a day. And I do that now, but it was just like,
I mean, like, just the mindset was just like dumb crazy, bro. And then I held out and it was just
like, looking at it, it was like, damn, all that was for nothing. And then when I look back at,
like, the stats and stuff, like, just for career goals and stuff, like I missed out on games,
you know what I'm saying? Like, on yards and stuff. And it's just like, just go play,
bro. Like, at the end of the day, you love ball, just go play. And go and let it work out.
It'll work out how it works out.
That's crazy, dude.
Are you keeping up with, like, articles and stuff like during training camp?
Of, like...
As everything's unfolding with you?
I'm looking at everything, brad.
That's probably with the problem.
Like, I'm looking at everything.
Yeah.
I'm responding to people.
Yeah.
Like, because they don't know what I'm going through.
Like, I'm responding.
I'm looking at all that, bro.
It was, like, one of, like, that was a dark time, bro, for me.
Damn, really?
Yeah, it was a bad time for me, right?
Everything.
Like, I, like, bro, it was a lot of stuff going on.
Too much stuff going on,
to be honest with you.
But, you know, here we are.
You can't regret it.
I tell myself that now.
Because I'm still cool with, like, even the media people
I still talk to.
Like, I was cool with everybody there.
Yeah.
I would go upstairs and be kicking it with the people upstairs.
Just, you know, no one really talked to them.
I would go up there and just kick it with them.
I was cool with everybody, bro.
Like, everybody in there.
So it kind of sucked for me.
But I was listening to everything.
I shouldn't have been listening to all that shit.
Yeah, stuff messes with you for sure.
Start not to, dude.
It really is.
It really is.
You get better with it as you get older, though.
Yeah, you start to, like, you have a little more perspective on it,
like what it means and shit like that.
But when you're younger and you're in it, you're like...
Yeah, I still get on some people's eyes, though, because, yeah.
I still, yeah, I had to get on some of my ass this morning.
He ain't gonna keep just talking crazy now to mail, nah.
Nah, nah, nah, yeah, nah.
He ain't going to keep talking crazy, male, no.
He ain't going to keep talking crazy.
Well, that's hilarious.
I got to take a tinkle.
You want to do, when you go back in your talk?
Yeah, I'm down.
I also want to ask him, uh,
or you can ask about Lake Denver.
Yeah, I was gonna.
That was usually next on the list.
Good old Broncos.
You're talking about tear talk?
Nah.
Oh, that's crazy.
Top non-sodas?
Top non?
Non-sodas.
Your favorite juices.
That's like.
Top juices.
Yeah, we'll do that all when you get back, dude.
I'm in that list up there.
What's up?
Yeah, that is true.
Well, first, before you do that,
I think we're going to win the game.
before you even talk about that,
what was it like?
So all the emotions you just went through,
everything about the Chargers and all that,
how terror, like,
how you literally feel like you were getting broken up with?
And then you go to Denver.
How do you restart that relationship?
Because I've only played for one team.
Yeah.
I don't know what it's like to, like, go and leave
and basically have to, like, go make a whole new family.
And it's in Denver.
It was tough, bro.
It was tough.
It was just because, I mean,
you got to just start over with everything,
bro.
And the guy's made it really easy for me,
but I think what made it even more
It was during COVID, bro.
Like, my timing with this football stuff is not it, bro.
Yeah.
It is not it, dog.
Like, this is my calling, but damn, help me out.
Football guys.
That's crazy.
I go to a different team as COVID.
Like, bro, come on, COVID.
Like, for real?
No, man.
Made it hard because we really couldn't hang out with each other like that.
And, like, Team Bond.
So we barely got to see the defense.
Mm-hmm.
And I don't know how I just gravitate the defense players all the time.
But, like, we always be kicking it.
But, like, it just was.
tough, bro. It was tough.
Everything was different, though.
It was more like
everybody was married and
Oh, it was like that? It was just
different. Like, I wasn't, like,
I mean, it's guys on a team that was married
and stuff with the charges, but
a lot of guys were, like, single and, you know
I mean, I went there, everybody married. With the younger squad there?
With. Yeah, usually it's like
with an older team, dude through married
I was like one of the young, I went from
being one of the younger guys to the oldest guy
overnight. Oh, for real? Yeah, bro.
That's crazy different.
Bruh, tell me about it.
That's fucking wild.
Tell me about it.
I was one of the youngest guys on the teams
for the last before I left and then went there
and I was like the oldest guy.
Yeah.
I'm like, dang.
So your first game was that Monday night football game
against us?
Yeah.
How weird was that situation at the stadium?
It was definitely, it was different, bro.
I struggled a little bit that game
because I actually fumbled that game,
but I knew I was going to fumble.
The play before I was like, bro, I'm about to fumble.
How did you know you about to fumble?
What do you mean?
I knew it.
Ain't it?
When you call it?
Like, you be trying to say yourself?
I was like, bro, I'm about to fumble,
bro.
It's better when you say you're about to go for 99.
Then you do that.
I'm going to fumble,
brother.
Why did you say that to yourself?
Because, bro, I was in my own head.
Like, it was my first time, like,
me and Phil was, like,
splitting every other series.
And I'm like,
bro, I can't.
That guy had a bad come down.
You know what I'm saying?
Because he was electric his rookie year.
I mean, he was pretty,
he's still pretty good.
It was just.
I'm not saying he's bad.
I'm just saying where he was his rookie year to where he's now.
It's a tough deal.
It's just, bro, it's just how stuff panned out, bro.
It's crazy, man.
And they brought you in, too.
He probably felt some type of way when you came in.
Yeah, me and him out a conversation about that, too.
Philip Lindsay.
Oh, yeah.
He was like the rookie, like, drafted.
That's why they hate me there.
Yeah, really?
Like, I got rid of him.
He had to be a fan favorite.
I mean, he's Colorado kid.
Also, worst place to ever play in the world is Denver.
Oh, my, fuck.
You want to, for real, though.
Derek was telling me that he was, I was like, bro,
for you to take as many carries as you did.
that game, bro.
I was like, bro, my hat off to you, bro,
because I can't do that.
Yeah.
And I practice there and training camp.
So you don't ever get acclimated to it?
You do, but like, bro, but still, though, like,
to have it hard to take that many carries, bro,
he was like, bro, I was about to die.
He's like, oh, everyone will play there again.
Yeah, he's, okay, good.
I was going to say that, but he's the same thing.
Right, yes, right.
Anytime we talk about football, and we talk about worst places to play,
Derek goes, I will never play in Denver again.
Bro, Denver's still hard to play in, bro.
I hope y'all don't go to Mexico City.
Bro, that's double.
Bro, that's worse.
I will fake every injury I can't possible to not play in that game,
man had two knee braces in one game.
He'll fake an injury.
I'll fake an injury for that game, bro.
Really?
Why is that?
Bro, you can't breathe, bro.
But I ran one player, I felt like I ran 14.
It's 10,000 feet above sea level.
Bro.
They're what?
What are they?
7,200 or 5,500 or something like that?
It's a mile above.
Yeah.
Hard is a game?
I've ever played in in my life, bro.
Like, literally, like, literally, like, you have to,
after every play, you got to go to the sideline,
hit the mask. It reset you.
And that's the offensive line, you don't get to go on the sideline.
You just got to stay out there.
And that game, they had me running so many motions.
I'm like, bro, do y'all know where we at, bro?
We can't be motioned in Mel around or I can't breathe, bro.
He keeps saying Mel.
I'm like talking in the third person, man.
Melorah, man.
Oh, man.
You got the name for it, though, too.
You got the name for it.
Let's go city, bro.
That's real deal.
That's real deal.
Holyfield over there, bro.
You guys played against Kansas City?
Yes, sir.
Bro, like, Tariq, them, bro, I know they weren't hurt, bro.
He got out the game talking about this hammy.
No, fam, it's not your hammie.
It's your lungs, gang.
I know, bro.
A lot of guys sat out that game, bro.
They started and they was like,
I know a lot of guys was like,
no, I'm good off this.
Yeah.
For sure, bro, a lot of guys was chilling, bro.
Dude, that's got to be the hardest place.
Hardest.
I promise you.
If Denver's that hard,
Denver's 5,200, that's 2,000 more feet.
And we went to Air Force, too.
I almost said square feet.
I can see where Air Force is on there.
Who?
The Air Force there?
Yeah, where that stadium?
Yeah, what's the altitude over there?
Because we had to practice in that.
Bro.
What?
Practice for the week was deadly.
I'm like, bro, I know we're going to be straight going to Mexico City.
Broome.
Oh my gosh
It was way worse
Oh my dude
Oh my god
That's so funny dude
Yeah bro I don't wish that
Who playing in Mexico City this year
I don't
Oh of course you know that shit Bloss
He's a huge 49ers fan
Oh yeah look he knew
He's died with the 49ers
Bro when we play
If you get one of them boys on there after they play
Just ask them about it
Bro that's terrible
Yeah I got to kiddle right after that
When we hit that week one against Denver
Yeah
Remember Rosham punch
that dude in the face.
Yes.
In that first quarter.
You had to go in.
And I had to go in.
And I was a late camp signing.
Like, I signed 10 days before that game.
And look, you on the team that year.
We went to, uh, we went to Denver and I had like a, like I had like a stuffy nose and stuff.
And I literally remember telling Roshan and Jay on like, hey, can't have neither of y'all getting hurt.
Like, I'm not feeling the best and I'm not trying to play in that elevation.
That's what you come here.
And Roshan swings on somebody in that second drive, bro.
And I'm like, holy fuck, I'm going to have to buckle up, bro.
That was the hardest game I've ever played, bro.
No, bro.
It's the hardest.
I never really, I never really experienced that, though, because
because when we played them when I was with the Chargers,
bro, we always played them later in Denver.
This one, y'all played us.
You boys'all?
Yeah.
He's the best, dude.
That's the first game of COVID.
There's like no fans there.
Oh.
Yeah, dude.
I remember.
We could hear D's talk of shit.
We did the national anthem.
And I was remember looking around being like, this is the weirdest shit.
Yeah.
Like, we're just okay.
It was weird, though.
It was weird, for sure.
Yeah.
y'all were only at the 50 and we're on the goal line facing each other.
Yeah.
It was weird because we did the Black National Anthem after.
Yeah, that was weird too.
Yeah, that was weird too.
He runs with that little man syndrome.
And I thought Dr.
will be talking so much more in this game.
Nah, you can't talk to Denver, bro.
He can't.
You can't.
I can't, bro.
I was like, oh, my God.
I'm done.
I'm done.
I already got so much air.
I can't lose it.
That is hilarious, bro.
Nah, bro.
I can't believe we won that game because we missed two kicks.
Yeah, we's tweaked out, bro.
What's the deal?
What's with this one?
November 13th. You know what the deal is.
What are you? Predictions.
W for us, L for them, man.
We don't get no skull, man. We know what's up.
That's crazy. What happened last time?
We beat y'all in your place.
We beat you as the hardest place to play.
Hey, look, remember how I dog, y'all?
And then you got me the next year?
Yeah.
Okay, well, you got us the first year.
Come on, bro.
So this is it.
Just repeating itself again.
When you got a new squad, too, y'all got Russell, you all got a new little
Oh, yeah, you guys do have for us.
Yeah, man.
Yeah, you know what time I did.
I know what time I did.
Oh, yeah, he's tough.
He tough, he tough.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Chuck gonna talk that trash now.
He was tired in that Denver game.
Oh, for sure.
You're going to be tired, bro.
I mean, the first couple games, you're going to be tired for sure.
Yeah.
Because it's just different, bro.
You can't.
Because I remember I said something to him and he was getting all mad.
And he went off in the sideline.
I was like, don't forget about me or something like that.
I said something stupid.
Yeah.
And he, like, jogged off and he was like not really having it.
but legit, I found it like two serious later, like, oh, this is why you don't talk.
Yeah, not for real.
You can't breathe out here.
You can't breathe until you get it in there thinking this is going to be normal.
When I should have fucking known too, it's because I remember something happened with the elevator and the hotel, so I had to go up a flight of stairs.
And when I went up the flat of stairs, I was like, oh my God.
Yeah, no, for real, though.
It was fucking.
Oh, we went for a jog through.
I'm like, oh, no.
No, for real, it's tough.
I remember I went jogging, bro.
I went jogging for a mile.
I first got there, I got there like a week early before camp.
Mark.
Let me see what I was too talking about.
I'm running random mile.
I'm like, oh, that ain't bad.
But when I stopped, bro, I feel like I'm from to die, bro.
My chest hurts so bad, dog.
I said, no, this is not.
Out of the altitude, for real.
No, that's not.
It's not for a middle, man.
You should train up there.
I should train up there.
But also.
And it's tough staying in the same town you play.
Br, it is, bro.
It's just, nah.
How are you feeling about the AFC West?
Dogs out there, dude.
Dogs, bro.
We got some demons.
is in there, bro. It's going to be tough.

Back to the episode.
No, I think,
the NFC West, everyone looking at the AFC West going,
holy shit.
Bro, there's no fucking question.
Everyone looks at the ASEWS and goes, oh.
Nah, y'all, we definitely on Demonson.
And if you're like on, that's a dope thing to say.
I think they got boasts and mad, bro.
That's a dope thing to say just now.
You guys think Denver's the most slept-on team in the AFC West?
Not when we got wrestling,
I don't think people's sleeping on us.
I think they were.
would have been without Russell.
Without Russell,
and because you got Russell,
legit, people go,
oh, shit, they got Russell.
You talk about the AFC West?
We're going to think about
the team that's going to slept on.
It's probably Raiders in our division.
I don't think they're getting slept on.
You don't think so?
I think they're talking about a Raider Nation.
Yeah, I'm part of Raider Nation.
So I do see a lot of Raiders.
I mean, bro, they got them.
I mean, think about the Raiders, bro.
Hey, why did you bear the pass-wresters, bro?
We were with the running back right now.
Josh Jacobs,
Darren, Darren, Hunter Rinfro,
Devante Adams?
I think they, I don't think they're a team
bro, Devante, Chandler Jones, bro?
That's why I said.
I think they're getting slept on.
I don't think they should now.
That's what I mean.
I think if any team in the AFC West is getting slipped on,
it's probably the Broncos.
Yeah, I think so too.
Like, I think, like, charges, they've been talked about a lot.
Chiefs are talked about, but they low-key could be like...
Talk about the charges every year.
Right, they talk about the charge every year.
But now they got...
They talk about the Chiefs more than anybody every year.
Yeah.
And then the Chargers...
But that's going to be different out of that they broke on.
You're going to change a lot now.
I agree.
I think, I think, uh, I think, uh, I mean, Pam Homes like that too.
We ain't, huh?
Tom's the next Brady, right?
Yeah.
He liked that.
I mean, he's a beast.
But Tyree Hill like that, bro.
It could look different to year.
We ain't going to act like, oh, no, he's crazy.
No, he don't take no drag 70 yards.
I agree with you.
Who else taking that playback?
Them versus the bills.
Who, outside of Tyrakeel?
Who's taking that back to the house?
Who's taking that pay to the house?
No.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's, that's a game changer, bro.
Aren't they, Adam?
He ain't won't 70 though
He didn't I don't think he burned
Yeah he's pretty fast
He's fast
He's pretty fast
He's pretty fast
He's pretty fast
No one's Tyree Kiel fast
Exactly
Devante Adams is a dude
Just like Russell Wilson
You go oh shit
They got him this year
Yeah
You know what I'm saying
Damn
Did you play with him in Wisconsin
Who
Russell?
Yeah
That's what I'm glad to
What's your vibe on Russ
He's?
He's hard though
Like what you mean
Does he party
Does he get after it?
Nah
In college did he get
after it? He's closer to like a Tim Tebow spectrum?
Or closer to like...
Even more closer to that spectrum, bro, than like, the party.
I ain't never really seen Russell out, bro.
For real? Not in college.
He even went out one time, bro. Yeah, like this little...
I think he had like this little pink shirt on him, bro.
He's a...
That's a sad.
That's a little bit, bro.
Are you surprised he back Sierra?
Huh?
You surprised he back Sierra?
I ain't surprised, man. It's Russell Wilson.
Russell Wilson, man.
Our quarterback, man.
Definitely not surprised he bagged her, but, you know what I mean?
But seeing him in a pink shirt in college, you're kind of like, damn.
Yeah, like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, you know what I mean?
Well, he was running a pink shirt in college?
No, I'm just, I said, are he surprised he back Sierra.
He goes, I mean, I'm not because of Russell Wilson, we kind of laughed.
I'm like, but you're kind of surprised because he's running a pink shirt in college.
He's like, hey, you know.
It's different, bro.
I mean, yeah.
Was he different?
Like, what's his vibe between now and when he was in college?
Same, bro.
I don't know if I believe you.
He ain't changed, bro.
He's not changed, bro.
Really?
Bro, not even a little bit.
I feel like...
Not a little bit, bro.
No, because he's on the same team.
If he was, like, being in Denver
and he went to the Chargers,
he'd definitely say something right now.
Nah, bro.
I'm being...
I'm gonna keep it a band, bro.
We learned what that was earlier.
Yeah, we did.
So he's being in the truth.
I'm definitely stealing that, by the way.
He's different.
His swag is completely different.
Like, his swag's got a lot better.
Yeah, he's saucy now.
He's sauce with it.
He used to be wearing color shirts
with the horizontal...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
My boy, Russy this, bro, look, hey.
You got some work to do this guy.
But you're there, though.
My boy be dripping now.
That's crazy.
You got a stylist now.
As far as the same person, bro?
Same way, bro.
You can't change.
Really?
Nah, bro.
Because he had some shit saying he watched every single game ten times or whatever.
Oh, yeah, I can't believe that.
Nah, bro, he'd be locked in.
No, no, no.
Listen to me.
I just went back there.
Every game ten times?
Bro, I went back there.
170 games?
Okay, maybe a little exaggerating, but maybe, bro.
It's a maybe, bro, with him.
See, there's the thing with that, with something that strong to say,
he's either a complete liar or he's telling the truth.
Right.
Nah, you got to meet him, bro.
He probably watched that film 10 times, bro.
I ain't going to cap you.
Like, this dude got his own office.
He got his own office in L and up.
But by the time he got signed, when the frequency thing happened
and he signed to Denver and he flew to Denver.
Within those couple days, he said he had already watched Denver's games 10 times.
No, he ain't not capping.
I was talking to him.
No, he's capping.
No, for real.
He's capping.
I respect you.
No, I was, I was talking to me.
No, Russ.
Cappin.
Nah, I was talking to Cus.
The kid of the Carolina, Russ is right there.
No, I was talking to, bro, like.
What'd you ask him?
You really watch all them games ten times a piece?
No, bro.
He was just talking to me, like, bro.
He knew, like, everybody when I was talking to him.
Oh, you got to just look at the roster.
Oh, tell me about him.
Oh, you got to look at the roster.
I watched him.
He was locked in, bro.
You've been thinking about it.
All you got to do is look at the roster.
Hey, bro.
You can talk that over Russ, bro.
All I know is what I know,
come on the bus.
All I know,
when I went there for a couple of days,
because I had to go there
and get my playbook and all that.
Bro, he got, like, his own office,
like his, his, like, his board,
like, bro, he tapped in, bro.
You're talking about at the facility?
Bro, he got his own, bro.
He tapped in, like, he tapped in, bro.
He's got his own office at the facility?
Bro, yes.
He tapped in, bro.
Like, he, he, come in at six, like,
he had me, like, on the field with him at, like,
6.30 a.m., bro, like, going through plays.
Let's try to.
to catch me up on like the stuff that I miss.
Y'all do the two minutes drill together?
He did it.
He did it with me a little bit.
Yeah.
Bro, he tapped in.
Bro, working out, bro.
Six o'clock.
Bro, he tapped in.
He tapped in.
He tapped in.
Y'all see that from Caleb when I say he tapped in?
That's it, bro.
Okay.
He tapped in, bro.
That's so fucking funny, dude.
Hey, let's listen to some tear.
I'm trying to think.
All right, so tear talk.
You're basically, please don't even, um.
Your top juices.
We got tier one, tier two, tier three.
You basically rank your top three juices.
No soda.
Keep it straight juice.
That pomegranate juice shouldn't even be on the list, though.
It doesn't have to be.
This is just for, this is just for your mind.
For your mind right now.
Just for you to think.
You don't have to pick all of these if you don't want to.
Yeah.
Like I got stuff that's not even on there.
All my choices.
Bro, that Hawaiian Punch one.
And all your choices aren't on there?
All my choices are not on that way.
Really?
Y'all should have put the green one on there.
I have one that's on the list.
Like, yeah, bro, the green one.
That is the worst drink for you.
Which one?
Nothing but sugar.
What wine punch?
Nothing but sugar.
Well, yeah, all of them are nothing but sugar.
Nah, bro.
No, the creamberry, bro, that's healthy, right?
No.
Hell no.
He said nothing but sugar.
I know Hawaiian punch got to be the worst, bro.
You, bro, that junk tastes like,
you better off getting like a couple spoons of sugar
and you dumping that junk in your mouth.
But how fire is Hawaiian punch.
Right, it's hitting, bro.
That's why I was.
Exactly.
That's what we're talking about.
That's one.
So you're first.
Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3.
Favorite juices, you're up.
I'm gonna just go from off the east.
Don't, I can't think.
You don't got it.
Give a same.
All right.
Because I said don't practice.
You want me to go first?
Minutemade.
No, we said a win-made.
Minuteman.
No, Minut, Tier 1.
That's your favorite juice.
That's your number one go-to juice.
Fruit Punch, Min-N-Made.
It's for you when you sick, healthy.
Like, it's all-purpose.
Sick, healthy, all-purpose.
Min-May is all-purpose.
Like, that's the number one juice my mom gave me when I was sick.
I don't know if you're supposed to get that to you when you're sick,
but that's what she did.
Tier 1.
All right.
That's your favorite juice of all time.
All right.
What's your tier 2?
That capri-s-on busting, busting.
For sure.
It's your Liz, man.
Hawaiian Punch, definitely three-ski.
Can you hear him good, Blas?
Apple juice.
That apple juice.
That apple juice.
That apple juice definitely need to move up.
Okay, we're going to move Apple juice to three.
We're going to move that motorist to three, gang.
So one is fruit punch
The Minamade, yes sir
Two is
Wine Punch or CapriSine?
That Capri Sine? That Capri Sine?
IA.
With some heat, heavy on the heat in Florida.
Yeah.
Capri Sine, the Pouts,
slapped the straw in there.
Yeah.
Fire, tier two.
And your tier three?
Apple juice?
My apple juice,
fame, bro.
Hey, apple juice, three.
Oh, wow.
Damn, bro.
Apple Juice 3, Tier 4 is Hawaiian Punch,
because I know that's not healthy for you.
I know that.
All of them, I know.
Listen, my man, juice is just not healthy in general.
Like, what's the last two tiers?
Like, 199 would go
pomegranate and tomato juice.
Y'all can't...
Yeah, that V8 should be terrible.
Dead last.
Dead last.
That's the worst thing I've ever had in my life.
You would have tomato V8 over a pomegranate?
100%.
Or over a grapefruit?
100%.
That pomegranate is so...
Bro, they all gross, bro.
You really hate that.
Gross, bro.
Bro, they're gross, bro.
And he nods because he knows the most gross guy.
The V8 gross, too, but that grapefruit
trash.
No, the Tate's the worst one on there.
V8 is by far the worst one on there.
Okay.
Bro, they, they, it's like, fucking terrible.
Preference is, at this point, it's what you allergic to.
Because don't, those two is weak.
You ain't, you know, those two is weak.
bro.
At this point.
Who the fuck put pineapple juice up there?
Pynabble juice is good, but you don't think about that.
That's facts.
Well, Will's the only one did his homework on this, so go ahead, Will.
Mel, you've been a funny guest, bro.
You've been a funny guest.
All right, let me put on my nose.
They can't be putting Mel through all these motions, man.
Man, for real.
You know, 30-s-says on me.
Hey, AFC Whist, we don't do.
We are out here, yeah.
Oh, there you are, dude.
This is a great podcast.
Yeah, definitely out here.
Bro, you took beet juice before?
Yeah.
I think.
Yeah.
Like, it's supposed to help you, like, breathe and whatnot, right?
Yeah, like, with your blood.
Beat elite?
Nah.
It's like a beat, like, beats.
It's like a powder.
And you put it in your water and you shake it tastes really bad.
But yeah, it's, like, really good for, like, oxygenizing your blood.
They told me that.
Do it before the game.
Yeah, I did that.
And before the game, because I was like,
Bras Denver, it'd be hard to breathe out here sometimes.
I'm gonna take this B-Jews.
Yeah.
It's my turn to do the time.
No, like, go ahead.
You're also the guest.
Right, that shit was trash.
Okay.
Okay.
All right, you got it.
Oh, my God.
Beechers before the game says, Beck.
That she was trash.
Trash.
The fucking glasses on.
Slow him like you were sad.
Trash.
Go ahead, Will, fuck.
You got it, man.
All the minute did his homework on this thing.
I mean, it didn't take long.
We did it today.
My tier three.
And the only reason it didn't make tier three, hang on, hang on.
I like how you started this.
The one on the outside.
There's a little mention's in there.
Yeah, I need an honorable mention because I fuck with Capricent heavy.
But I was telling JP, back when I was growing up, we didn't have the big pouches.
So I never, that was like past my generation.
So the reason Capri's Sun doesn't make is because it was just always, you were always limited with the little bag.
I feel that.
I feel that.
I feel that.
I feel that.
I feel that.
So my tier three is.
Hawaiian Punch.
Which Hawaiian Punch? This one right here?
Definitely diabetes. Red Hawaiian
Punch. Growing up as a kid, Hawaiian Punch.
High school, college, jungle juice,
mixing Hawaiian Punch in the Jungle Juice.
If you got that shit dated in elementary school,
if that was in somebody's refrigerator, you're at their house all day.
Yes, bro. My tier two
is a large, orange high C from McDonald's.
I forgot about this
high C-Sisi. Right?
The Hicisci.
I go crazy.
That orange high C, large.
Yes, sir.
Yeah, you're right.
And my tier one is
Martinelli's apple juice.
Martinelli, what is that?
He got to let us down with that last one.
Let us down.
Yo, you're headed one,
I don't even know what that is.
You know, he took a pause.
He was waiting for everybody to go,
Martinelli?
And he said, oh, my God.
He got that with the high C.
Martinelli?
You got that with the high C.
You weren't trying to give it to me, though.
Somebody googled me up real quick.
My man.
And you was like,
everybody was like,
you know what it was?
You know what it was?
in my head I kind of forgot what
high C was.
Bro, that's the worst apple juice ever.
No, this fuck is not, bro.
Apple juice fan.
That's the worst apple juice ever, bro.
What's the best apple juice?
That's the apple juice that you could like,
you like, the plastic one
sound like you chewing an apple, right?
What?
That's the glass, bro.
But they got a plastic one and you like,
well, we're not talking.
It's the same thing.
Bro, that junk trash, bro.
No.
No, it's fucking not.
Bro, that's a bad tier one.
That's a bad tier one.
I hate to see that.
I hate to see that.
The fact that he had your teeth.
The fact that he wrote that down.
He wrote that down.
Three was a toss-up between Caprice and Hawaiian punch,
so that's why I kind of left it playing.
Okay, okay.
Don't disappoint me, gang.
All right, tier three, that pomegranate juice.
No, I'm just kidding.
You know it's bad when you were to speak that, hmm.
I look down at them.
He came up on me as soon.
it's fucking over.
All right.
Towed in here, huh?
God damn, dude, I'm laughing.
I got like the giggles right now.
All right.
So what else?
It is exactly what it is.
Was that?
Nothing, nothing.
I apologize.
I've interrupted.
Yeah.
My tier two, tier three
has got to go to the classic Sunny D.
I think when you get that,
you get replenished as a kid.
I think it's fire.
I think it really fucking breaks your heart
when you realize it's not even juice, though.
when you get older.
You guys are right there.
It's like fake shit in there.
It's not real juice.
For real?
I mean, it's like flavored juice.
You guys actually think it's the taste of the sun?
You think the sun?
They borrowed the sun in there?
I mean, we're right.
Hawaiian punches are not real.
Hawaiian punches are real juice.
Yeah, but Sunny D in your head,
locate you think it's orange juice
like with like an extra sprit to something else.
Like a unicorn pita or something.
You think it's special.
Okay.
When you're growing up.
Tier 3, Sunny D, my floor.
My tier two,
or is the Kool-Aid, these little Kool-Aid ones at the bottom,
the ones you twist the top, I think those are fucking unreal.
I don't think the reason why it's a tier two and not a tier one to me
is because that bottle, you think there was so much more fluid in it
than there actually was.
And that was always a fucking heartbreaking.
You'd put down a six-back on your own.
It ends so quick.
You put down a six-back, that's four-cooled ounces.
You know what I'm saying?
What color Kool-A we're talking?
What's that?
What color Kool-Lay we're talking?
I like the purple one.
Purple?
To be honest with you.
I thought the purple was like,
Oh shit. Albertsons is really doing something.
That's our gross.
For real.
Albertson's really doing something out here, you know?
Purpose.
My tier one, which I can't believe was an honorable mention, is the Capri Sun.
I think Capri's Son is the tier one, especially when you were given a lunchable for lunch.
And you pulled that fucker out.
And you didn't reach in for the Capri's son.
You lifted the box, so it fell from the top to the bottom.
Oh, that whole, God.
That little.
That little.
It's the, it's the, it's the, it's the little.
Listen, listen, listen, listen, when you heard this, in the lunchroom, everyone went, oh, fuck.
It's time.
It's time. He's got it.
It's got it.
Yeah, everybody's fucking got it.
What can I treat?
What can I treat?
And that was, dude, that wasn't only a juice.
Doesn't matter the size.
I get what you're saying with the size.
But that was also currency.
Yeah, bro.
That was money right there.
No, no, no, that's fact, though.
That's not just juice.
That's not just juice.
He's not just juice.
He's for sure spinning facts.
I like your list.
Hey, listen.
I like it list.
Usually when we do your talk
It's like no one talks
But the fact that you're in the corner
Like gasing
Like you're the first time man ever
Yeah that's for sure
He's the bad
Hey he's just spitting facts right now
He's just really doing it
I'm just banging though
Yeah yeah
I didn't even notice
I'm talking about talk about it
Like that
I like facts I like that
I like that
He's like yeah I feel you on that
Oh yeah
What color is it though purple
Yeah that is a little interesting
I don't know about that one
But yeah
Capriciar
I look like a lot
Yeah, it was definitely talking about your favorite on that one.
But, yeah.
What was your favorite of this one?
You didn't like the purple?
I kept O-G, you know what I'm saying, blue or red.
Yeah, I thought purple and green were my two favorites.
I thought you saw green in there.
I was like, damn, oh, bro.
You're doing it out there.
We did it different in Arizona.
No, digital, bro.
Blue wine.
What you mean?
Blue.
Green and wine punch, bro?
Digital, bro.
It's like the kiwi, bro.
It's like the kiwi, bro.
It's the kiwi.
It's the kiwi.
digital.
Oh, ooh.
Hey, you know it was a sleeper, too, that no one brought up?
Mountain Dew, Baja Blast.
I think that's...
The Icy?
Yeah, from Taco Bell.
Hidden.
That's no.
What's that?
Non-sodos.
Oh, it's non-sodos.
Yeah, that's definitely...
The icy then.
Not the icy, though.
The icy then.
No, he'll know and brought that up.
No, not for real, though.
It definitely...
That is hilarious, dude.
Hey, so what's the...
Since you're Mr. Apple juice,
what's your go-to-apple juice?
What brand?
That, yeah, right there, gang.
you got that one and it's another one too
honestly just put up apple juices
that was terrible yeah just put up apple juices
I'm gonna let you know something
the one you
had that one ain't it
I think I think you're gonna get some backlash
because I think people are gonna rival me on that one
you see that's a header
yeah that's what he said the picture
you said the photo
this one right here
numbers and that's on everything
was that tropicalana what is that
that's on everything
that's on king David
that's what Kenan just told me yesterday
that's a new saying
That's on King David.
The Midden made one Bussy, too.
Crop can of apple juice?
Brough.
Hit.
Ah, you think you're real wrong on that,
bro, that hit.
There's going to be a lot of people in your timeline.
You're going to have to go off on this.
They're going to pick that one.
They're going to pick that one to the top.
They're going to pick Marnellis.
They're not going to pick Marnellys.
I feel like that's a boogey apple juice, guys.
That's fine.
It tastes amazing.
Dang, it don't go.
It should cost a little bit more.
It lacks on the sugar.
Tell you right now, not sweet.
Bro, you were complaining about all these other juices having too much sugar.
They hit, though.
Bro, the thing that Will has, the only thing Will has is the shape of it,
and when you sip it, you sip it so slow because you know there's not a lot.
So you make, you taste everything.
I don't want to drink.
I think that's trash.
I think that's trash.
I think of a healthy drink.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
No, we're not going after that.
Did you have Hawaiian punch in your tier?
Yeah, Hawaiian punch with my tier three.
Would you have, you had the Kool-Aid ones.
Yeah, yeah, Kool-Aid bought the...
Heavy on the sugar, gang.
I'm saying, you're going to like you, bro.
The Kiwi right there, I promise you up, bro.
I got some.
sitting in my fridge right now.
If you came over and had that
Martinelli's cold, you would love it.
Come on, bro. Diabetes.
You have those in your fridge right now?
Yeah, I have Martinus. I'm going to try it again.
I'm going to try it again for you.
Hey, bro, you don't have it.
You're going to have it.
I'm going to have people. I'm going to get them.
Hey, the Times and Cecilis got Marnellys.
Yeah, I know.
The little glass bottles.
You like it, bro?
It's good.
I get why Will likes it.
I understand why Will likes it because it's little.
I think it's very refreshing.
And every time I did drink it, I was super dehydrated and it just was special.
And after practice, bro, when you have one, you're like, I'm going to have a
Martinelli's day.
And you take it to meetings or you'd have it for lunch.
No offense.
No offense.
I would put an orange Gatorade over ice.
And that, to me, that was like, damn, I'm having a nice little deal here.
Facts, facts.
When you're dehydrated and you take a big, one of those big, what is the kind of cup?
It's like white and it's kind of squishy.
Sairfoam.
I don't know why that was so hard.
Tyrofoam cup.
With gatorade?
With ice?
Oh, my God.
Keep it a bando.
Gatorade in a bottle.
Gatorade in the can.
Gatorade in a can.
Come on, man.
Talk to me.
Talk to me, y'all.
Dude, Gatorade in the can.
It's so much different.
Bro, we don't live in the way they brained it, too.
The way they bring that can.
Right in front of me.
And before practice it here,
and he fucking was drinking.
I was like, dude, it was this one right here.
Top left.
Level, bro.
Digital.
Oh, man.
Digital.
Digital, bro.
I look you think Gatorade is a little overrated.
Not in the can.
Not in the can.
I think power rate is better than Gatorade.
That's a strong take.
That's a strong take.
I don't, yeah, I don't, like, necessarily disagree with it because Power Age has kind of been, like, pushed aside because Gatorade spent so much money.
Yeah.
But I do, I think Gatorade is, like, overrated.
You think so?
Yeah.
What you put over it, though?
Over Gatorade, all my tears that I said.
Come on, guy.
Oh, no, yes, yeah.
No, no, no.
I'm saying, like, that was, I'm speaking, I'm speaking, like, I'm speaking like.
The majority of the drinks on that, on that picture, I would put over Gatorade.
To be, to be, to be, to be, that chart, it's kind of hard to tell, like, that Gatorage should be in that.
Yeah, you would.
You're thinking like as a kid.
Yeah, yeah, nah.
Even though it's exactly should be in that category.
Yeah, I guess it should be.
But would you put Gatorade over all the things you said?
Yeah.
But you were about to argue that with Will.
It's to argue about.
You could argue.
You'd have a fruit punch Gatorade over a fruit punch,
a Hawaiian punch?
No.
No.
What about, would you have a fruit punch gatorade over a Minutemade fruit punch?
No, because that was your tier one.
You speaking for me now, man?
I'm just trying to present it for you.
You're speaking from Mel right now?
Let me go, right.
Nah, you're right, you're right.
You spend facts.
For sure.
Hey, this has been a blast.
Hey, this has been a great time.
I enjoyed it, man.
Busting on with the fellas, man.
Bussing with the fellas, man.
You like it?
What do you think of the bus?
It's hard, bro.
It's hard.
I ain't gonna lie to you.
I ain't gonna get off the bus and be like, man,
that was kind of weak.
Now, you get to your parents, huh?
Before you flew here where you're like,
fuck, why am I flying out here?
Uh, not really.
I kind of...
I didn't know what we were doing, actually.
I'm going to keep it being.
I sent my PR.
I was like, what we got again?
Because people kept asking me.
And then I seen the clip today.
I think I've seen it before, but I forgot.
And I've seen it again today.
And I was like, okay, this is going to be dope.
We just laid back, just talking, just whatever.
Yeah, and the bus look cool.
Like, I'm like, it's hard.
Yeah, your PR people call, texted us.
Texted this lady damn Peggy for Barcelona.
And Peggy's like, give us an outline of what you guys are going to talk about.
Were you just in their thing like, Will's so mad right now?
Yeah, because I know I don't have to respond to those things.
I know.
And I know you're going to have to.
And then when you said we really don't do that,
and she's like, let me get a line on him tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow morning.
I was writing something out.
Oh.
And then Will said this bullshit, like, his time at Wisconsin, his time at the Chargers.
Like, whatever.
Yeah.
Because it was like, we don't really talk about anything on here, but just hang out.
Just hang out, yeah, yeah.
That's hard, though.
I didn't really did this.
Yeah, like, you know, like, some stuff,
and then you just want to hear, like, stories.
Like, we're sitting in the fucking locker room, just hanging out.
You could, you could honestly do a podcast.
You think so?
Oh, yeah.
I think you could, too.
You keep attention.
You keep people's attention when you talk.
Yes.
Have you thought about it?
No, I ain't, right.
Y'all can try to show me the ropes on them.
Yeah.
When you're down playing.
That'd be easy.
You do one once a week.
It's fun.
It's a blast once you figure out how to do it, for real.
Y'all got to show me what's up, bro.
This is hard, though.
I like how y'all set this joint up.
It's different, too.
Yeah.
I know just sit down and some bullshit, like, office or, like.
Right, right, right.
Like a bug, right.
Out the gate, it's already hitting different.
Energy, gang.
I'm a fire.
I think this is a fire pod.
Oh, bro.
You literally didn't know what to think.
I'm never met, no.
We didn't really hang out.
Yeah, yeah.
So I was like, yeah, I mean, I think I remember being cool.
And then we get on.
First 10 minutes, we're all kind of figuring yourself, figuring each other out.
Our 53 later.
I know.
Making magic.
Making magic.
This went well.
Because I knew, like, we'd be able to talk about him running all over us in Nebraska.
And it really always has to do with you, like the guest.
Like, if you came on here and you were doing.
Yeah, because if you were really talking, me and Will would just.
And Taylor and I would just be...
Oh, for real?
How are we going to make this dude laugh?
Oh.
I knew it would be straight because you were on Sunday...
Once I saw that, you were on Sunday conversation.
Oh, yeah.
I was like, okay, he's going to have a personality.
Yeah.
I had to watch the Sunday conversations.
That shit's looked hilarious.
It seems so...
The fact that he's always got people laughing, always.
Brose authentic, bro.
Yeah, he's found his, like...
He's found it.
He's found what he does best at.
For him to do that, too.
He's got the faces and the funny questions.
It's the face expressions?
Bruh.
He'll just ask you something stupid
but also kind of real
and then he hits you with the face.
Would you,
obviously you'd go on it,
but would you try not to laugh?
I don't know.
I figured if I ever went on it
and be like, don't laugh.
But then if you don't laugh,
you're not to be a bad episode.
I think some people do that.
Really?
I feel like some people try it to not laugh.
He tried to be serious
and then he had them read that thing.
I was weak.
Bro, that was so fucking funny.
Oh, I was weak.
I was so weak off that, bro.
All right.
Grab some food.
I think it makes it better.
He asks like an awful-wall question you sit and think,
and then you just start smiling, like, these motherfuckers.
Yeah, every time, bro.
How does he write for that, though?
I think it's just authentic, bro.
You think so?
You've been honest, so you would be able to.
I kind of an idea what do you want to ask, and then he just go.
Yeah, because Glennie said it's all, like, his thing.
Like, he does the production.
He does the music.
Like, he edits the videos.
Oh, really?
He has an idea of what he wants it to be like,
and then, I mean, feeling off the guess,
you kind of just slow.
Yeah, because when it zooms in on people's faces.
Oh, that was funny, bro.
My favorite one is the Michael Irvin one.
When he goes, you know how journalists keep journals.
What do analysts keep?
And then Mike kind of thought about it.
And they just started dying laughing, bro.
It's hilarious, man.
It's so funny.
All right, man.
Well, subscribe for five stars.
Follow the boy on Twitter and Instagram.
What's your Twitter and Instagram?
I think I just added you, Flash Gordon.
My Instagram is just at Mel.
Everything you have from now
needs to be at Mel.
Yeah, you need to change the mail.
My Instagram, yeah.
It needs to be Mel for something, because I just added you.
Yeah, my Twitter is like Melvin Gordon 25.
I don't know what that's the game is.
Oh, yeah, your actual name is Flash.
Do you feel bad that you know those people faster than you and you took Flash?
Ooh.
Definitely.
Like, Caleb, man.
Nah.
Nah, I've been known that way.
I've been known that way in my strength.
My best friend was trade.
He ran like a 4-3-1,
so I had to deal with that all through high school.
So I knew it was gone.
Oh, that's why...
That's you?
Me is...
I had a personality from a jit, bro.
I had a personality from a jit, bro.
Yeah, bro.
Check your boy out, man.
That's why when I get in the end zone,
I'll be cutting up, right?
That is so funny, dude.
How man, I tell you.
Way out, man.
That is way out, man.
Which one are you, that middle one?
Yeah, right there with the shorts, the boxes with the shorts.
You know what I'm saying?
Then the pants.
Yeah.
That was the swag, man.
That is funny, dude.
What's your fucking awesome?
At Melbourne.
At Melvin.
Just Melvin?
You need to change it to Mel immediately.
Yeah, bro.
If you can get Mel.
If you can do just Mel.
Just Mel.
I should have.
Why you do that, Mel?
That is so funny
I really thought I was in my back
I can't wait to see you
I think every one thing I got out of this
was you need to make sure you have long hair
for one game and short hair for another game
every other game
If you can go
Or even if you go like short hair
And have super long hair like after a buy
Like all it only took them 10 days
Cause that would break the internet
Definitely
You should definitely go long hair
For when you play the Titans
I should tap in it
I mean if you did that
that probably be the same result as last time, right?
Man, that's what I'm a chance.
Last time you're in the building, was it fourth and one?
That's not time.
Ooh.
It was fourth and one, won't it?
He changed the entire season.
He fumbled legit twice.
Yeah, twice that game.
He fumbled, but you fumbled twice in two plays.
Because that last series, they just went empty
and was picking on the linebacker with Echler.
Yeah.
And just got it all way down to the end zone, bro.
Right.
Back's going to be, hey, off its line, too.
I don't want to talk about that.
Yeah, let's talk about this new one that's coming up.
Yeah.
Let's talk about it.
All right, brother.
Get this photo off front.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was harmed.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquiskeek coming to him.
He's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, it's Ashanti Plummer from Futteround and Find Out.
This week, AZ Fudd and I sat down with Steff and Curry.
Step talks pressure, confidence, and what it really takes to stay great.
There's different categories, I guess, so I'm like conditioning, shooting drills where you try to simulate kind of games.
Look at her face.
We have a love-hate relationship with those because you know you're getting something out of it.
You don't look forward to those days.
