That's all I'm saying. I love the fact that you can see it to the fair weather fan thing because growing up out west it is the truth. It is just what it is like when the when the teams are good yeah you know we'll go to check at an ASU game. Oh we'll go to but when you were playing there. Oh, we made San Jose State. We never was 92,000.

who is out there. When Pete Carroll was on the field with all his guys, I remember being a young cat, junior in high school, going to USC and being like, please God, Pete Carroll, just offer me. I will commit on the spot to go to USC. And now I look back at that, I'm like, oh. All right, well, listen. What was confusing to me is just all the money that has poured in, like, you know, Lincoln Riley's making a boatload of money.

Like they were a good football team last year, like underperformed maybe in a couple games. But they're like a team that can make the playoffs. There's a lot of expectation coming into this season. You got Miava with Heisman contention. You got guys, number one recruiting class, and you would just think that there'd be more, I'm not saying it's going to be PAC 90-90-2,000, but that was abysmal what had showed up.

That was crazy. Shout to Lincoln Riley, though, just sitting in the pocket being like, we had a great attendance. Tennis has been up every year I've been here. I'm like, you know, dude, this guy is just sitting there and be like, nope, it was awesome. He jumped you guys.

All that matters is the product on the bill. I agree. Not a good look, but at the end of the day, it's one and no. And we move on. We got Fresno State Friday night. It's supposed to be around 77 degrees at the college. Hopefully we can get, you know, a little bit more than 50,000 or whatever we have. That's what you said from Fresno.

We got Fresno State. Yeah, that's going to be empty again. 50,000. He said 50,000. The weather's nicer. It's Friday, so school will be letting out. More kids on campus. And I think it's been talked about so much that these fans know, like,

It's not the kind of guy I am. But there was a conversation before the show saying, in the new era of college football, is USC even a blue blood? That was a question that was brought up to me. Listen. And I just deferred. I was like, well, ask Clay. Yes.

I mean, do I have to answer this? Who's asking these questions? They're in the room. They're in the room right now. I'm not going to point them out. stud it was like a preseason game for them they had 15 plus 16 true freshman playing getting them ready for the season out of hand so that way we can hang and we can beat the michigan's You did like the Nebraska's, the central Missourries of the world. We were in the first game. Y'all, no one would have came and watched. I've won the three. I didn't want to hold a whole-

I've always planned we would've won, but I'm saying, in general. Y'all would have won if you were playing? Yeah. No. Oh, yeah. Against our team or like this team? I ain't say yo team, though.

Oh, gosh. His team is in shame. Yeah, they was just, I'm not going to say that. Like, you know what I'm saying? Now, you might have got like a touch down the fourth quarter when we had you crazy. You crazy. 16-year-olds out there.

You were crazy. Yeah. What were those high school stats? You got a huddle account? But they would have, that defense would have stuffed your face. No, they would not. You would have came across the middle. You were talking like every game you played, you won.

I was with you when we went two and 14. And I bought out every game when I was the only piece. You know, claim that. But I was the only piece. That's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah, only peace. Delaney.

I mean, I'm talking like y'all was smart. That's wild, though. Steers me in my eyes, only piece. saying they're like, all right, bro, damn. You're not catching passes. That's what I'm saying. You block it. You're doing your thing out there.

What's the division called? It don't matter. Okay. It doesn't matter right now. NFL futures, boys. Oh, give you. Yeah. We had a new way we're going about it this year.

We'll see you break it down. How's this work? How are we gamifying the system? So Delaney said something earlier. Like, hey, my future's kind of hit last year. There was no reward for it. Audience was talking about, you know, ways we could do units, yada, yeah, clay. We'll talk about the brainstorm that the team had.

And somebody was just, somebody was talking a lot. So you just sit back and listen. Yeah, yeah. That's what we should do. We've listened to everybody out there who took in a lot of feedback. We're gamifying it. this year to where every week we're gonna have 10 units. This is when we're picking games.

We have five to seven, however many games we have to pick each week. We're gonna have 10 units to spend. One special little unit to build whatever parlay we want to. Ooh, okay. One unit minimum on every game, so six units will already be locked in, so we'll have four to have fun with. Yep. The remaining four units go wherever they want.

Stacked on games, you guys feel stronger, we feel strongest about. The parlay is a separate one-unit parlay built however we want to. We calculate these units on the back end each week, and we'll be showing it on the Ford leaderboard that we will have going on. It'll be a graphic on screen to kind of track how we're all doing. So if we have a parlay that hits, but you lose every game, but that one-unit parlay got you plus a thousand,

like that will play into your totality of units. Oh, that's fine. With the money line stuff, if Clay's wanting to take a seven and a half favorite, he's like, I feel good about the money line this week, so we're not prying the spread, everything else. He wants to take the money line and use a unit or five units on it, however many units he wants to. He can do that.

We can all do that. So that way it's all about units. So you lose them. We could be in the whole big time. But you can always come out of it because there's always a parlay that we can put together and hit. There's three lifelines we're going to get throughout this season. Three lifelines.

Three. Each competitor gets three lifelines. One use each all season long. Once it's gone, it's gone. Unit swap is the first lifeline. Swap your unit total for the week with another competitor. If you use your swap, you're protected. Nobody can swap into you that same week.

If two people call a swap on the same week, we settle it with rock, paper, scissors. The gentleman's way. The second lifeline, double unit weekend. Think of double XP in the gaming world. Yeah, sure. You have to declare before the sloth, Slate starts and use your 10 and your 10 units becomes 20 units across the same six games.

Same rules apply. One unit minimum per game. The rest wherever you want. Just know that it will be doubled going into that weekend slate. And then the third lifeline, unit forgiveness. Had a disaster week, you can wipe it. That week comes off your season unit record entirely. So here we go.

You get those units back though if we wipe it. Do we get the units back? Do not lose your units. So if you lost 10 units, it doesn't matter. You did not lose 10. Reset. Reset. Reset.

Zero for that one. Cool. Now if you actually use those units in the sports book, we can't like give those. No, yeah, we can't give them. But as far as the game that we're playing. For the show. For the show. White.

What you're doing in your personal time is up to you. That's up to you. Yeah. For the show. If you lost all 11 units, boom, white. Boom. Yeah. Wipe it off.

All right. We feel good. We feel good. We feel good about the game. Do we feel good about unit swap? I don't really like that one but it is what it is there's three lifelines I know once you use it you lose it right oh a few times you have a one in five week Clay's got a six or no it's a good opportunity might benefit you no I'm just saying I yeah I don't

like it was a game show so they're not gonna love everything about it right right don't like don't like that I don't like that are you willing to say you're not gonna use it at all this year I'm not gonna say that okay I still want to know about you didn't like it say that well not about you didn't like it I mean late in the year. Our futures is just one we're not putting units on it's just one unit. One unit. So there is no next week is when this whole thing pretty much starts. But right now we're just talking about futures. Yes. Is there anything else anybody wants to get out before we get into our futures? Clay? No. Nothing? Nothing. Fired up? Yeah. Did you go to a school

to look at sports analytics? I did. I did not. Okay. But as you mentioned, we hit the rookie wall last year. Sophomore season. It's up. Big jump. You came in with good juice when we all had the locker room meeting. Yeah, you did.

As far as you was there. Yeah. A little bit more important. Yeah, a little bit more important. Yeah, very important. Just know that the boys had it. You could trust the boys. Yeah, after hearing it, I'm glad you guys got it done.

Division we are looking at. Buffalo Bills are favorite for minus 135. Patriots are in second at plus 140. New York Jets, 1700 plus 1,700. And then Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins are plus 4,000. I may fuck with Malik, man.

Yeah, he just thud. I may fuck with Malik. You know, we're starting off. No, no, no, I'm just talking. I'm just, oh, okay. I'm talking to get myself more. Speaking into it. See, yeah.

No, as far as what he's earned in the contract. And like, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, what he did with Green Bay being able to go to Miami, get that $68 million. How much it was? Yes. We ought to think about coming back. Come up was crazy. Hey, Delaney.

And as long as one of the best players, if not the best player is in the AFC East,

how can you not pick the Buffalo Bills to win the division? I like the Buffalo Bills. I like Joe Brady putting some new juice in there. Buddy has not had a wide receiver one. I know Stefan Diggs last, nope, that was a Patriots. He still didn't have a wide receiver one. You do now. So we got DJ Moore coming over.

You got, who's a running back? Why am I blanking on his name? Cook. Cook. Who's going to cook back there? And then the Patriots are going to have a bit of a brush. I think they were 14 and 3 last year. They benefited from an easy schedule.

First year head coach, who's obviously phenomenal. You guys can speak to how he runs a team. But they're going to have a tough schedule playing all the number one seeds having finished first last year. AJ Brown? They do. You see how hard AJ Brown practice when the Eagles came to town? That's the first thing I noticed.

As a former teammate of AJ, I was like, oh, this is the hardest. He's ever practice. This is, this means more to him. Well, they was booing his ass, so yeah, you better. I know, but in all the one-on-ones, you could just tell, like, it meant something. This is the AJ you want to show up. He wanted a little bit more than everybody else, for sure. Well, listen, they got dogs too.

Bills, Bills, Pats, Dolphins, Jets. I think the Patriots are a legitimate contender. I just think there's going to be a little regression. And I think with Josh Allen, what he's able to do, not only throwing the ball, but especially with his legs, he keeps him involved in every game. I see them winning this division. Did the Buffalo. I picked him to win the Super Bowl last year.

I felt great about it. And then we get to, what was the Broncos game, right? Half time, he's running Willie Nutter at the ball, turnover, three points. Broke my heart. Yeah. Broke my heart to see that happen.

I love the bills. The Joe Brady move, firing their coach, and then putting Joe, it's like, I guess, like I feel like there wasn't a whole lot. I love the addition of DJ Moore's wide receiver, Bradley Chub and free agency for the defense side of the ball. That's like a huge upgrade. But, dude, I love the New England Patriots.

I love the pages. I love AJ Brown being in a spot. He's familiar with the coach. The coach understands how to handle AJ. I love Will Campbell, who had a underwhelming rookie season, having another year or he now understands. He flashed, though. He flashed.

I like him getting better. I like Drake May having more weapons around him. I like, from a strategic standpoint, how they handle those four or five plays a game that will win or lose you games. And I just have a lot of belief in the Patriots possibly. probably getting back to the Super Bowl. I'll see how I feel at the end of this whole thing. But I'm kind of, I'm taking the bills off the shelf.

I'm going to go with the Patriots in this one to win the division needs. Put my unit on the bills. Unit on the bills. I know. Like last year, when we was, remember when we were flying out, it might have been week four, week five to do get up. And I was like, hey, I'm looking at this schedule with Patriots. Like, they could take the whole division.

Yeah, yeah. I feel like the biggest X factor. You talk about best player with Josh Allen. But Simon Bradley Chubb, I think the X-Factor is getting Jim Leonard over from the Denver Broncos, who's an assistant defensively. Now he's the de-coordinator for the Bonds. I think that's the X-Factor. I think their level-of-play defensively is going to start to get closer to the level of play offensively

because we already know what they are offensively. Josh Allen is a superstar. Potential MVP. So that's where I'm taking my unit on this futures bet, AFC East. I'm going Buffalo Bills. And then there was no. And I'm going against my buddy. I'm going to get it.

And I, after hearing everybody talk, I'm going to follow it. I'm going to follow you. No, no, because like, obviously I was going to go to bills. I do think they may have the best roster in that division. But with the Patriots adding, my boy, I just feel like AJ being there helping that past threat, having us having history with the coach, I got to go Patriots. I got to put that union on Patriots. I just. So you're going with your heart on this one?

I'm going with my heart on this one. Split. Not logic. I'm going with the heart. There's something to think about, though, the patients won in division last year, so their schedules will be way more difficult. I know, but I still.

And that's the one that gives me pause. Yeah, me too. But I feel like they got it. All right. I saw a sign on there. It says, we'll move your mic to the front pocket. So if there's any bad audio,

Even though I love the hard balls, I just think something different, something new. And Lamar is still Lamar. Just know that. What happened last year? What happened last year? We said he was. I picked him to win the Super Bowl. I picked Lamar to win the MVP.
