Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's us The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
Starting point is 00:00:10 We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Your 20s can be. so exciting, but they can also be really overwhelming, confusing, and honestly, just kind of lonely. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the psychology of your 20s is breaking down the science behind the biggest roadblocks we face. I was six years into my career, the 80-hour weeks, and just the first one in, the last one out, and I ended up burning out. There was a large chunk of my 20s that I, like, was just so wanting to, like, be out of that phase out of my skin, and I just, like, really regret not living in the present more. to have everything figured out right now.
Starting point is 00:01:02 You just need to understand yourself a little bit better. Listen to the psychology of your 20s on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Joey Dardano, and on my new podcast, hope from a hypocrite I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with thoughtful solutions. Psych, I'm a comedian. I'm not qualified to give good advice.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Join me and my comedian friends as we riff rant and recommend some of the most legally dubious advice known to me. This is Help from a Hypocrite, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know. Listen to Help from a Hypocrite Wednesdays on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:01:38 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This season on Dear Chelsea, with me, Chelsea Handler, we have some fantastic guests like Amelia Clark. When, like, young people come up to me and they want to be an actor or whatever. And my first thing is always, can you think of anything else
Starting point is 00:01:55 that you can do? Rather be disappointed in. Do that. David O'Yelloo. I love this podcast, whether it's therapy or relationships or religion or sex or addiction or you just go straight for the guts. Dennis Leary, Gaten Moderato from Stranger Things, Tena Mongeau, Camilla Morone, Carrie Kenny Silver, and more. Listen to these episodes of Dear Chelsea on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome to the locker room.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Happy New Year, and I hope you had a great Christmas. We got the boys myself, Will Confentatea, Luan, Delaney Walker, here to talk ball. It is a unique week this week. We have college football being played on Tuesday and Wednesday,
Starting point is 00:02:38 so we will be talking all college football playoff this episode. Tomorrow we will be releasing our NFL stuff for the weekend ahead. But like I said, first there are 12 teams. Now we are down to eight. We're talking Ohio State, Oregon,
Starting point is 00:02:49 Boise State, Penn State, Texas and Arizona State, and Notre Dame and Georgia. We are happier with us. And just a reminder, make sure you subscribe, and leave comments. Let's Talk Ball. Welcome to Lockroom College Football Edition.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Exciting week. This is an exciting week, boys. Play out. This is why we play the game. This is why you play the game. Because I'll be honest with you, this whole week 18 NFL, I usually don't like it. Because there's so many, yep, you're right. Lockroom is sponsored by Fireball Whiskey. So many things make football great, but you know what makes it what the best thing is, kicking the living shit out of your rival.
Starting point is 00:03:45 There's absolutely no better feeling as an athlete. or a fan, and Fireball Whiskey is here to give you the spark to ignite that rivalry all season long. Grab your football buddy, fire around, and re-ignite the rivalry flame. Here's a deal. I don't use like Week 18 in the NFL because there's so many games that don't mean nothing. But right now, this part of college football, the way with the playoffs going right now, this means everything. Yeah. The first round of the playoffs, it was like, hey, good thought, but nothing, there was no good games.
Starting point is 00:04:14 But still very exciting. Exciting. Like at the end of the day, the anticipation to get there is exciting. But the 60 minutes of watching the game was like, well, what did I just get myself into? Some teams came to play. Some teams did not. Some didn't. Some did not come to play.
Starting point is 00:04:27 But this week, I think this is really when you start to see like, I mean, obviously better teams are in. So it's going to get more exciting. This is where it's at. Good talk. That's awesome. Yeah. I'm just thinking about it. I got a ballsy little parlay at the end of the episode that I think people are going to like.
Starting point is 00:04:42 It will include South Carolina Gamecox. and some games being played as people watch right now tonight on Monday. Games will be played tomorrow on Tuesday that I got. I got a little parlay cooked up, so I'm excited about that. Is it conservative or is it a hitter? Plus, it's over 600. Okay, yeah, that's a hitter. Because the parlay came last week was 142.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Yeah, people was ripping us. Yeah, that's okay. You know what I mean? That's okay. If you try to please them all, please no. Yeah, indeed, indeed. Trophy game of the week. This is the most exciting game.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Obviously. This is the big one. Rose Bowl, Ohio State, who is favored minus two and a half. Rematch with the Oregon Ducks, which they've lost the last time they played in Oregon. Total points in the game is 55 and a half. I will humbly give it to you two first. Yeah. Look, watching your team win is nice, but why not make it a win-win?
Starting point is 00:05:35 My partners at Draft Kings are all about that winning feeling. And right now, new customers who bet $5 will get $150 in bonus bets if your bet wins. Just download the Draft King Sportsbook app. and sign up using our promo code locker. The crown is yours and follow all your favorite Barstall personalities. Starting point is 00:06:00 We'll get $150 in bonus bets if your bet wins. Again, promo called Locker only at the Drag King Sportsbook app. This is the best game of the week. This is our trophy game of the week. A lot of it, there are people out there saying that the national champion is in this game. This is the national championship. Yeah, this is. This should be the national championship.
Starting point is 00:06:19 And the way Ohio State came off that absolute ass beating a couple weeks ago or a week ago, a couple weeks ago, where are we out? Two weeks. It's like, I'm in like a spin zone. Where are you talking about the last game they play or the game played? The last game that Ohio State played where they beat their ass. That was two weeks ago. Two weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Like one and a half really. It was weird. Christmas really messes our brain up. Right. Because you don't know what day it is. Yeah. Goldfish brain. Goldfish brain.
Starting point is 00:06:42 I do think it's going to benefit Ohio State that they played in the first round. However, you know where our heart is. You know where my heart is. Dan Laning, this is fucking why you drove 13 hours and had to change into a suit at the gas station to go in for an interview, only to be delayed in that interview. But just a stepping song to where you are now at the University of Oregon. You have a chance to go 16 and 0. The first, hey, Mitch, by the way, shout out your data right here. First team to go 16 and 0 since Yale.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Since Yale back in 19 and 1894. 1894. 1894. Literally. that was like when Red De Red De Redemption was based off. Yeah, the video game, right? Yeah, it was somewhere going 16 and 0. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:24 But this is the game, man. This is Dylan Raola. Or not Dylan Raola. Gabriel. Dylan, dude, you've been cooking. I know, I know, I know. Dylan Gabriel, this is why you transfer to 18 different schools and drive yourself a little minivan
Starting point is 00:07:37 to prove in humble moments like this that you are the guy, that you are the fucking guy. I like Oregon in this game. I think it's going to come down to the trenches. And when we were there in October, if you remember, like that day of practice or the day before, Jordan Birch got injured. So their best pass rusher wasn't even available. And right now Ohio State's banged up a little bit on the offensive line.
Starting point is 00:07:56 About tackle center? Yeah, the Remington Award winner. He's not playing. So I like Oregon, bro. I think I get, I went back and forth on this game too because a big part of me wants to pick Ohio State. But I think I'm getting kind of that, I'm being kind of a prisoner of the moment, how dominant they were in their last game. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:13 But I think this is Oregon. I like Oregon. This is fucking Oregon. Let me go ahead. No, go ahead. You want Ohio State? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:23 I'm taking, I'm taking, no, no, no. I mean, everything you said. You have a differing opinion. I could go Ohio State. You don't know, but go ahead. Yeah, I'm going with Oregon again. Like you said, Oregon came in. I don't even understand why Oregon is the underdogs in this game.
Starting point is 00:08:34 They beat Ohio State already. But for some reason, I guess because they got, what, two week by, they've been sitting. They think that Ohio State going to be fresh. But again, if you look at Oregon in October, They won the last 11 games and then Ohio State failed to cover the spread
Starting point is 00:08:48 in seven in the last games as a favorite against AP ranked teams. I just feel like Oregon going to come in there they're going to come off that high horse of beating them guys.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Even though I know it was close you guys was there, y'all saw that atmosphere. It's going to be pretty much be a home field advantage for Oregon. Being in California, that ain't far from them. Oregon ducks to travel.
Starting point is 00:09:04 So I think that atmosphere is going to be the same. Oregon going to come out on top. What is it, plus three? Plus three. And at the Rose Bowl. And at the Rose Bowl. Bowl.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Bull known for Pac. and a half. Pack 12 and Big Ten. Sure enough, we got Oregon and Ohio State. Yeah. Here's a deal. After what we saw Ohio State in Tennessee, that game, everybody in their mother was saying, this team was going to win the national championship. This is the team.
Starting point is 00:09:27 This is the game plan they should have had. This is what Chip Kelly came from UCLA to come and do and prove. They took shots downfield of Will Howard. They ran the ball effectively. Their defense stood up and played like a top 10 defense they are. It is easy. when the whole world is against you to stand up and swing back once or twice.
Starting point is 00:09:48 But when you have a dominant win against an SEC school that we all thought was going to dismantle Ohio State, when you see a team like Ohio State beat these shit out of Tennessee, everybody is now patting them on the ass, loving them. Hey, you guys are great, yours are amazing. This is why you guys came back is to do this.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Not knowing in the Pacific Northwest under a couple of beautiful trees, there are 105 ducks sitting there waiting in the rafters, having themselves two or three weeks of a break. After coming off of what I thought was not a very dominant Bay 10 championship win, like their defense is a lot better than they've shown in the Bay 10 championship game. So there was a lot of learning material. They ended up getting the win, but it was basically a scorethon.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Now they are playing a team that they've already played this year, five or six different lead changes throughout the game. I think it's easy to get up once. I think it's easy to get up when the whole world is against you and prove something once. Now everybody's patting you on the ass at Hollywood State's going to shit in their hand. I think the ducks are going to win this game by multiple touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:10:46 You stick with the multiple touchdowns. I'm talking double. Did you win for the ducks? Whart, right, right, right, that's what I think.
Starting point is 00:10:53 For real, though, I think the ducks win. It's going to be a really close game. It's going to be a really close game. It's going to be an extremely close game. Oh, yeah. If you go back to the beginning part, the fourth quarter in Oregon,
Starting point is 00:11:06 Hosstein kind of lost themselves that game. Dan landing with the play of a lifetime, putting 12 guys on the field. Allowing them to do a check-down. Will Howard Sliding. It's kind of a situational awareness thing, but House States had a couple of injuries. They have a talent to beat Oregon.
Starting point is 00:11:20 There's no doubt about it. True. But I watch a guy like Dan Lending, his energy, him coming on the bus, talking the way he does. The way he talks to these guys in pregame, post-game, he's got the shit, he's got the stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:32 And I'm not going to continue to show on Ryan Day. I was impressed with what he did against Tennessee, but I'll take Dan Lennon 10 times out of 10. You remember that game in October 2 who they went after? What's his name? It's number 10. You got to go after him early. You got to get one, a quick one on him early, and start chirping.
Starting point is 00:11:51 Like, just start getting in his head. Because, you know, he's ready to get back in this game. Like, if he has the mental fortitude that, like, he's going to be a draft pick. Yeah, I mean, ever since that game, he's been. That's what I'm saying. He's ready to get back in this game and strap up. The familiar colors start showing back up. You get a couple on him quick.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Not even like a bomb. Just throw the thing out to the bubble, make a miss once. Make them doubt. But that the freshman for Ohio State. Number four, he's a dog. He's got three point five million dollars in the table to go to Michigan. He's got $3.5 million in the table. Does he? Is that a real thing?
Starting point is 00:12:24 I saw it so it's real. Yeah, we saw it so it has to be real. Twitter never lies. Apparently a booster of Michigan. It's like, I'll give Jeremiah Smith $3.5 million to come to Michigan next year. Oh, my God. He's a stud. Doug, he is unfucking real.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Do he leave? To go to Michigan, to the other side. But if you do that, college football is in a way weirder spot than we thought, even after Cammore. I feel like it's still a weirder spot now. It's in a cool spot. It's just in a non-identity spot right now. Student athletes, it's related to an athletic student now. You're going to school and getting an education, but why are we checking something?
Starting point is 00:12:57 These kids are making millions of dollars. It's a really weird situation. I fuck with it. But I think there needs to be some, we'll put some borders on it eventually. Yeah, you get a scholarship and you get paid. We talked about this in the bus, but talk about the juco. thing too. That's big, that's big news for college football. Yeah, so apparently Juco is now getting, they're getting like granted those two extra years. So if you go to a
Starting point is 00:13:15 juco for two years, it won't kind of get your four years of eligibility. That's crazy. In D1, you would have loved that. Loved it. I mean, you still be in college. You're crazy. Could you imagine? Two years, all I need it. How? Yeah, but if they're paying, it all depends. I mean, yeah, it all depends. You letting it last a little bit longer. Letting a dream last a little bit. It all depends. I really don't know how that payout stuff works. If I was in it and I understood it maybe, but I don't really understand how they get paid and how much money do they make at the end of the day and how many, how much taxes do you got to pay at the when they come down to. They probably don't even know. There's no way they know.
Starting point is 00:13:51 They'll definitely. I wonder if, it's an interesting point, if NIL affects like California and like New York schools, like these bigger like state income tax bracket schools. Has to, right? I mean, eventually, but you think the kids aren't thinking about that right now. Right? Yeah. No? Right. Yeah, I think it. I think it. Yeah. You're getting income, yeah, you're getting taxed. Yes, but you, like, all players, they don't realize how much to get taxed until their first check comes. They're like, how much is going? How much?
Starting point is 00:14:17 You're saying, I don't get to keep all this? Like, no, no, no, 40% is leaving. Yeah. And that's just in Tennessee. Yeah. That's an advantage for the balls. Advantage for the balls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:26 No state taxes. Texas. You can be a head coach of them something. Texas. Atlanta. Atlanta. Tennessee. What do you get broke off?
Starting point is 00:14:34 What about Nebraska? It's low, though, in Nebraska. Yeah, there's got to be low. Yeah, very low. Them fly over states. They got to have something. We got to have something. Hey, shit on there.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Starts falling down. Why do we live here? No, no, no, no, no, low taxes. Low taxes, what you got. Cost living is real low, too. Very low. Shout out of U and LV also. They might be out.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Oh, U and LLB. So we're all going to Oregon. Oregon. Yeah, we're all going on. Which does not make me feel good. It doesn't make me feel good. I just think the Ducks is the better team. This is the game.
Starting point is 00:14:59 This is the game. This is the fucking game. The better team is, the talent-wise. They're the talent discrepancy. They're the best team in the entire country. I mean, Dylan Gabriel? I know.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Is he a candidate? They have some things that outweigh others, but if you're looking at collectively, the entire team. Like, there's $20 million. But that quarterback is the key. I just hope they come with you. I hope they come out. If they had, my bet, if they had that quarterback that went to Syracuse,
Starting point is 00:15:24 what was his name? Willard, Kyle McCord. I think they. Maybe even top. They probably could have beat Oregon this past time. Because Will Howard did have that little hiccup. And Kyle McCord went the fuck off this year. Yeah, he did.
Starting point is 00:15:36 He wasn't right there in a hard state. What's that? He wasn't like that at all. But I'm saying it's like the growth. Yeah, the growth. Mitch saying he wasn't like that at all. Maybe he needed to go to a smaller school. I mean, both of them lost in Michigan, Mitch.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Like, what's, how much bad at worst going to get? Okay. Mitch, you're one of the playoffs. Talk your shit, Key? Yeah. You're in the playoffs, Mitch. I'm playing in the Relia Quest Bowl tomorrow. I think it's actually right now.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Is it going on right now? Yeah. In the episode out. Oh, when the episodes out. Oh, I thought it was out. Yeah, yeah. But no, I think you guys. But no, I think you guys.
Starting point is 00:16:07 are not giving Ohio State enough credit. I think it's a little bit of emotional because your boys are Dan Landing and everything like that. For sure. No doubt. There's definitely biased. This show has never been like the most unbiased show ever. I mean, what did you say earlier? If it's a shootout, I think it's Oregon,
Starting point is 00:16:21 but if it's close, it's Ohio State or something like that? No, I think... If you look at the situation of like a close game, which we all think it's going to be a close game, I think Oregon edges out a close game. If you ever go through the thought process of a blowout, you would assume it'd be Ohio State because of the way they came out from Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah, I mean, I just think, I think this game left a bad taste in Ohio State's mouth. I mean, obviously, but, I mean, the way they handled Tennessee last week was unreal. That's why I'm picking Oregon. My biggest worry is the offensive line just because with Seth McLaughlin out and the left tackle out and they get Jordan Birch back and they could not block them the first time, the first meeting, I think it's really going to come down to that. And they're going to have to, like, really establish the run to slow down that pass rush. I hear everybody say Tennessee, but like, honestly, Tennessee was, they were good. No, they weren't. But they wasn't that good.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Like, Nico shit at the bed. I mean, he started taking over the game where he was running the ball with his feet, but passing-wise, it was just like. Right, but also, Ohio State had like big, are the potential frauds? Like after losing Michigan. Massive fraud talk going on. I mean, but, you know, Michigan, that battle is totally different. That's a different battle. And it bounced back and handled Tennessee's ass the way they did.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Oh, it was. You did call the, the asses of them. woman basically. You called Ohio State taking it. I thought we all took Tennessee. Yeah, I was thinking they were going to come out, pissed off with a lot to play for, which they do. And they will in this Oregon game. What I'm concerned about is Oregon starting well operationally. Like you have six weeks off a month off to prepare for this game. You're sitting at home. You're having Christmas break. You're doing all that stuff. You're still practicing. You're not necessarily knowing who you're going to play yet.
Starting point is 00:18:00 But just coming out and not having any penalties running a clean operation. Like that is my where Oregon just kind of starting slow. But I think if everybody... This is the first time our team's ever had a bye week in college football history. Yeah. So, yeah, I'm with you on that. But think about if everybody on the team buys in, you get a, you have a quick Christmas break. We get back here because we got to handle business.
Starting point is 00:18:20 We get back on the grind. I feel like that's the type of coach that Oregon has. It's like, look, let's all buy into this. Let's take two days off for Christmas. Let's get back here. Let's get back on the grind. Nah, he has to tell him Santa can come in January. You think that's what he telling?
Starting point is 00:18:34 Hell yeah, bro. No, he's talking about for the championship, winning the championship. That's what he's saying. I get that. Yeah, you're talking about like during Christmas break? Yeah, during Christmas. Take a couple days off. And get back here.
Starting point is 00:18:45 I think they were practicing on Christmas. Oh, yeah. Okay, that's what I want to hear. That's what I'm talking about. If we really about this, let's practice on Christmas. I'm trying to win a championship. I'm trying to go in history. It ain't been done since 1884.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Can we do it? Are we the team? And first year in the Big Ten. What does he say? Not an apex predator, but the king. The Keystone species coming in the Big Ten. Keystone Species. Come on, Darylander.
Starting point is 00:19:10 I see what I did it. Come on during learning. I know you're listening. Tier talk. All right. All right. Our tier one game this week is the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Notre Dame versus Georgia.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Georgia is favored minus one and a half. The over under on this game is 45 and a half. Delaney. I know you're not picking points in this game. You're picking the game straight up. Of course. So what do you got? Who do I have?
Starting point is 00:19:39 I am going with Notre Dame. Oh! I'm taking Notre Dame in this game. Georgia is playing with a backup, right? This quarterback better come in here. Mistake and wild if he better wow the crowd. Because I just think with a backup quarterback, you had back playing this whole year doing everything,
Starting point is 00:19:58 getting these guys to this situation, and then you get to the playoffs. And now he's not there. You got a backup quarterback stepping in. Y'all know with Notre Dame. can do. Notre Dame can be a good team when they come out there step up. They're going to play against Georgia. They're going to play at that level. They're going to take that duff. Underdogs. You know what Notre Dame can be. They're a good team when they step out there. I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:20:18 college football playoffs. I'm talking about when they get into playoffs playing against a team that's ranked higher than them. They're going to play to that level. Sure. How many college football playoffs has Notre Dame won? Zero. Zero. Okay. The answer is zero. First year. One, they won. They beat Indiana. Yeah. That wasn't a real playoff game. Wow. Wow. Wow. Are you really saying that? I like Notre Dame. I respect Notre Dame. I love their fans.
Starting point is 00:20:37 And more importantly, I love the sweet food they have. Oh, my God. It's unbelievable. We had the opportunity to go to South End Indiana. It's unfortunate Carson Beck has hurt. But he's had his opportunities of throwing the ball to the other team quite a lot this year. Georgia was just to add on that because he's talking about, uh, is it Stockton? What's his first name?
Starting point is 00:20:55 Gunner Stockton, which by elite, elite college football name. When Carson Beck went down against Texas and Gunner stepped in. And obviously Carson Beck went down this last week. Gunner steps in. Like you see the team kind of get a little juiced up. Right. Like he's got some poised to him. Like, yeah, he's very young and inexperienced.
Starting point is 00:21:10 But I don't think it's a letdown spot not having Carson Beck back there. And Gunner Stockton isn't like a Stetson Bennett type of individual where he was like, you know, at Juco walk on tip situation. Hey, you're not good enough. You're not good enough. All of a sudden makes it and does really well. Gunner Stockton is like a four or five star recruit. He's one of the guys that Georgia looks at and they're like, we got to get this fucking guy for when Carson Beck leaves. Carson Beck ends up coming back for his senior season,
Starting point is 00:21:35 which makes them the national championship front runners. Now, Georgia, we talked about it when they were played against Tennessee when I was doing the game by myself. Georgia is so used to like the ground and pound. They don't have a huge running game on the opposite side of the ball. They have to rely on the past quite a bit. I think Gunner Stockton, when he went in against Texas, to your point, did a great job of just facilitating the football,
Starting point is 00:21:56 getting the ball out of his hands, ran a couple times, meme the fuck of himself with his leg face in the wrong way, and the eyes in the back of his head getting hit by a Texas player. that was crazy. But if you look at how strong and talented the Georgia defensive line is, if they can get to the quarterback, I think they're going to win this game. I think Georgia's going to take this game. The way Notre Dame wins is when things aren't there for them,
Starting point is 00:22:18 the quarterback uses the legs, get six, seven, eight yards at a time, keeps the chains moving. They keep it in a game like that, I think they're going to be all right. But George is a, it's a hungry dog. Yeah. It's a hungry dog. I got Georgia. Notre Dame better say their hellmeries because they're about to get this.
Starting point is 00:22:32 destroyed. Oh, I think it'll be a blowout. We're going to see. I think it'll be a blowout. Like Mitch has on. You're talking about Riley Leonard being as much of a threat as those guys who can kind of run around. Riley Leonard, to me, is not this dual threat quarterback. The Kirby Smart is that trouble with him in the past.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Yeah, he can run. But what I'm saying is he can't throw the ball very well. Like, Georgia, if they make this team one dimensional, it's going to be a long game. Yeah. If they stop their run game, you're right. If they stop that run game, it's not going to be a good game. This is, you know, Georgia, Kirby Smart, this entire football team. They've been in these situations.
Starting point is 00:23:03 They've been the playoff moments, the big moments. Notre Dame is shit down their leg when they're in moments like this. And the stage is this high, and the stakes are this high. And the logo is that, babe. Yeah, I think Georgia Bulldogs are going to mop there. Hey, what if there's a crazy scenario where Gunner Stockton gets hurt? Do you know who the third-string quarterback is for Georgia? You know that line.
Starting point is 00:23:22 J. Come in. Arizona State kid. Arizona State. We interviewed him. If you know enough about him, when Stockton got knocked out of the game, he didn't even, that kid didn't even come in. They put Siss and Bennett back out with a bad UCL.
Starting point is 00:23:36 They don't trust because. They don't trust him. So you're saying Gunner's got to stay healthy. Yeah, we need Gunner to stay healthy. And Notre Dame get to that boy. I like Georgia. I don't love Georgia. This isn't like the dominant Georgia we've seen.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Yeah, that's why I didn't take it. It was hard. It was just hard because they're not the same, they're not the same Georgia bulldogs we know. And that's exactly why I love Georgia. because I think they know that. I think Kirby used that as motivation as well. They're going to be ready to go.
Starting point is 00:24:06 And Georgia has won seven straight bowl games and playoff games in their last two, like the last two bowl and playoff games, they've outscored opponents by 118 points. Yeah, man. Bulldog is going to be ready. We got that mortuary next door. We'll get a priest in here, but it will be Notre Dame bodies and burning. Name of the Christ, all right?
Starting point is 00:24:24 We'll get them dialed in. I'll bring Waffle just to, you know, pay respects as a bulldog. Oh, I get that. I get that. I was going to say, yo, what the fuck? He did have his little post to his wife yesterday, and I saw me, Roo, Scotty, and Waffle Love You.
Starting point is 00:24:40 I'm thinking Waffle. You just don't waffle in there for no reason. I had to put Waffle in there because I knew Trouble in there. You couldn't throw Waffle in there. Yeah, yeah. Cross your T's, dot your eyes. Tier 2, Fiesta Bowl. Penn State, minus 10.5, first Boise State.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Total points in that game is 52.5. Penn State might be on the easy. path of all time. The way they came out against SMU and defensively had two pick sixes, they dominated up and down the field. I liked, I like that, I love them defensively. They looked a lot better in the SMU game and they did the Oregon game. Now we're talking about two totally different offenses, but Boise State for the most part is pretty one dimensional. They obviously have to stop the run game. They have to stop Ashton Gentie. That kid's a stud. He's going to be in a war path because he didn't win the Heisman. He has publicly said,
Starting point is 00:25:27 I would, I should have won that He said I won. Yeah, I won. I should have won the hundreds. That's what he said. This, this, I don't want to make the same mistake again. I'm going to make this mistake later. But a team that you're not used to seeing in the playoffs, I think Boise, the lights are a little too big.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Give me Penn State minus 10. See, that's what everybody already counting Boise out. They already said Penn State going to win this. This is what's going on. So I'm taking Boise. Yep. I feel more confident than ever. I'm taking Boise to cover this game.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I ain't say win. That would be awesome. 10 and a half is just crazy for a playoff game. So I'm taking them to cover. I think people don't think they're going to come in as juiced up as they, because it's Boise. They, oh, they're playing Boise. Boise being in the playoffs is ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Why are they even here? That's when they're going to slap them boys in the mouth. I can see it happening. They could have thought the same thing with SMU, though. They did. SMU. And they slapped SMU. To your point, though, Boise State's one loss came from Oregon and they hung around with them.
Starting point is 00:26:24 They hung around with them. Yeah. SMU, come on. Like, I just want to SMU to win just because what, what's going on with them getting in not getting paid. So I picked SMU. They was just like a prairie on the... How you say that?
Starting point is 00:26:37 Little dog in the bird. There you go. Hell yeah. How you say that? There you go. To me, I think it's Penn State. I think this could potentially be a blowout. But maybe not, though.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Like Ashen Gentie, he is a stud. He's going to be a stud. He's him. But for Boise State to win, they're going to have to give him the rock 30 times to get about a buck 70. And I just don't think they have the team that's going... Like, this isn't Nevada. It's not San Jose State.
Starting point is 00:27:01 It's not Wyoming. Like we're talking about Penn State who just, we've watched the last two games they played against Oregon, almost taking down Oregon in the Big Ten championship and also beating the brakes off of SMU in a cold atmosphere up north. Like we're down in Arizona now. The weather's warmer.
Starting point is 00:27:15 The sun is out. I think the office is going to be humming a lot more. And with them linebackers, when you're getting picked as a linebacker, the juice you have going into the next week, like you're making every play. And I think, what's up? Yeah, I'm just letting you know.
Starting point is 00:27:30 that them boys are going to be flying around. I bet you they hold Ashen Genty to under 120. I don't think so. Think about it. I know they are. The defense is good. But state starts fast and gets a lead on them and Boise State is just not built. Again, they have to give Ashen Gently.
Starting point is 00:27:46 They have to. They have to. But if you get up on people fast, exactly. Yeah, yeah, I know. That's what I'm saying. If they get behind, they're going to have to throw the ball, which they don't do well. We know that. But at the end of the day, if they can keep that run, three, four, five yards every time
Starting point is 00:27:59 he touched the ball, they're going to keep them in the game. Watch Penn State home to under 100. I don't think so. Watch. I think the ego's getting in the way on that one. It might be. It might be.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Because I'm telling you, them Penn State linebackers right now, a linebacker for you out there. The Cus going to hit him with that Derek Herring. DeLuca? He going to hit him with that Derek Henry. DeLuca? DeLuca.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Did DeLuca have two picks? But I'm just in here, I didn't get this confirmed or not, but I'm wondering if he's a brother of Nick DeLuca. Buddy who came from North Dakota State. He was a draft pick for the Tennessee Titans. We got him in that little sword game. At the hotel.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Yeah. Who? When we walked in on him and his girl. What's his name? Yes. What's his name? Nick DeLuca. We got his ass.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Nick DeLuca. What do he play? He played linebacker. You're going to put out DeLuca like that? Did he play? We were joking. Yeah. Did he play?
Starting point is 00:28:43 Or he's special team? I think he got cut. Oh, okay, because I don't remember because of. Yeah. I think Bobby Spillane made it on the Peace Squad over. Bobby was good. Bobby was a dog. Bobby was a beast though.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Bobby was good. Bobby's a beast right now. I know. Let's get on. I want to hit the group chat with everybody we had in that room, but who ended up being the outside of Westwoodier. But it's like, hey, who ended up being the best back in the room? And y'all was just, and they treated, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Treated him like shit. They treated Bobby like shit. Yes, bro. And then look at them. Out there with the green dot putting his screen on people. Can't live it football? Winning games? Jayon, Roshan and Robert Spain?
Starting point is 00:29:18 Robert Caird. Yeah, Robert. Oh, bro. Way more. Like, no disrespect. The J-O-Briott. I love J-O. I like, Sean.
Starting point is 00:29:24 I like him a dog. They didn't care like Robert's playing. No. Like, yeah, they probably love football, but... They love the idea of football. Bobby Spillane loves football. Would die for another snap. He would die. Still thinks every day to himself, and hopefully it is the day.
Starting point is 00:29:38 With these pads on and this helmet on my head. Did he get paid yet? He got paid going to the... No. He had like three-year-twenty-one. Yeah, like he got like a three-year deal. That's good for him. Because how he started, I used to think he was a beast, but I'm like,
Starting point is 00:29:52 Dan, don't even play because. And when he got picked up, I'm like, that's what happens. You let you let Cass walk just because they don't look like they fit that criteria. Right. Go ahead. We got a little tangent there. Oh, yeah, Penn State. Boise right here.
Starting point is 00:30:06 That being said, well, we were talking about Ashton Jentee be under 100 yards. Yeah. I could see that happening if Penn State goes off offensively. Yeah. But they got to go off. They got to. They got to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Because then you have to think yourself, we have to throw it to get ourselves back in this game. Think of how fired up that defense is to play Ashen Gentie. Think how fired up he is. You know, possibly. should have won the Heisman. Yeah. Coming in, playoff game, you get to play against Ashton Jentee. That should just get your piss hot right there.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Because you're playing against an elite running back. NFL running back. Yeah, but you also got Ashton Jenti who got snub for the Heisman. He truly believes that, like, they only picked him because he plays both ways and Deont Senators is his coach. There you go. That's real. I'm telling you, Ashton Jente might actually go for like $150.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Because then they compare them to the Arizona State. They compared them to their state running back because the average. state running back went nuts. He had more yards. Scada bow. And then they was comparing like, who's actually better? So he's sitting there like, damn, they think he better than me. I didn't win the highest man.
Starting point is 00:31:07 I got to go out here. We got to win this and go to the next level. Yeah. Because if he doing it on his own, if he, if he's doing this on his own. If he take them, if he win this game, he's doing this on his own, baby. You're cooking right now, dude. I was just saying. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:31:21 I'm excited for this day. I'm going to succeed. If Boise State pulls it off too, like. Even as much as I've hated on them, too, I will be, like, happy and excited. Like, damn, they're really doing this. They're for a real. Bro, yeah. You can go and beat a real Big Ten team?
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's an opportunity right here. Right now, Big Ten's got the three best teams in the league. In the league right now. Hey, congratulations. Pennstribeau World Champions. Don't you take that from me? Don't you take that from me?
Starting point is 00:31:54 Almost game up that league, bro. Boston College almost came back. Chick-fil-A Bowl, Peach Bowl, Texas, favored minus 13-5-vers versus Arizona State Sunbevels. Total points 51-5. Games in Georgia. Texas-Halev to Clemson. Arizona, 11-2, that's a spread.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Will, where are you going? We've got to activate the valley. Activate the valley. Arizona State plus 13.5. Ooh. Plus 15-5. Wait, you changed it? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:32:31 That's the Texas favorite. about this thing, okay. The chip that they have on their shoulder for, what's his name, Leavitt down there just talking shit. Sam Levin. Yeah, they're talking about a, what was the question even asked to him, just about playing Texas?
Starting point is 00:32:44 And he just brings up his own rivalry and his head talking about, I can't wait to show that I'm a better quarterback than Quinn Ewers. Wow. I love the chip he has on his shoulder. I don't know if I necessarily say that in a press conference leading up going to Texas. These boys are going to be hungry, wanting to hunt this man.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Yeah. But I do love Scatibo. I have a soft place of my office. Scatibo is a beast. Because he got me, how much did he run in that spring game? Huge. Played all four quarters for me in the spring game. Beast.
Starting point is 00:33:08 And he is a stud. His balance, his low center of gravity, I love it. I love it. I can't wait to get my hands on him in the end. Once he's in the NFL one day for the all white team. Arizona State. Mike off of all right. And I brought my jersey too and I fucking forgot to bring it in here.
Starting point is 00:33:23 God damn it. For real? Where you going? Yeah. Can you check my truck, JP? Yeah, probably. If it's not in the truck, it should be right over there on the table on the other side.
Starting point is 00:33:36 But I think it's in the truck. I think it's in the truck. Your hand gestures are crazy right now. I'm excited. We're talking college football. My heart goes to Arizona State. The best player you've never heard of. And the coach that every player wants to play for.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Dilly, dilly. In a state, the most fair weather fan state of all time. All time. This guy is at Auburn. He's at Oregon. He's all over the place. Talking about Kenny Dillingham. He goes to Arizona.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Arizona State. He plants his flag on the ground. He's like, this is where I want to be. This is the team I want to build and we're going to activate the valley. He wants to start an absolute tunnel, an underground tunnel system, just like Elon Musk in L.A., of taking Texas football players and bringing them to Arizona and making go to Arizona State. The only way to get that tunnel built is to beat the longhorns. This team is gritty. They're more hungry. They're angry. They feel disrespected. Because you got to remember, go ahead and show it off real quick, Will. Has it? They jerseys be crazy.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Nice. Nice. And the colors are nice, too. I like the colors. They're playing in the Peach Bowl. Peach Bowl is in Atlanta. So Arizona, who is the favorite of team who had the biweek, have to fly across the country to Atlanta, Georgia, to play. When they could have been in the Fiesta Bowl and just stayed home.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Yeah. They could have been in Pasadena, wherever, except they want to bring them all the way over because they're thinking to self, we have Texas fans are going to travel. Yeah. This team has been disrespected all year long. Early in the season, or sorry, in the beginning of the, the year. They're picked 12th in the big 12. They end up coming and winning that whole entire thing. The talent discrepancy between both of these teams is crazy. Texas has better players. They have
Starting point is 00:35:12 better five stars. They have better four stars. Hell, they probably even have more three stars in Arizona State. But you can't beat heart. You can't beat guys that sit in the locker room and truly play for each other and fucking are ready to get after it under every single circumstance. Having a good time getting after it knowing this is a David and Goli's situation. Even the brands themselves, you look at both the brands. Arizona State doesn't even sit close to the Texas Longhorns. There's five football programs that can sustain themselves from a profit, from a profitability in a football season. Texas Longhorns is one of them.
Starting point is 00:35:45 ASU can't even touch it. This is a massive game for Arizona State. Give me Arizona State Money line. Yeah, money line. Dilley, wake up, Dilley! Money lie, huh? God. I bet you're about to go off
Starting point is 00:36:01 Yeah It's why you play the game, Dilley That's all I had That jersey would look Run the clip Drink their beer Take their women Not in this house
Starting point is 00:36:12 Not today Dilly We got something to prove David versus Goliath Fuck that We are Goliath Scada Boo Let's fucking go kid You got a big future
Starting point is 00:36:23 ahead of you You got a big future So you take your money line Take a money line Money line Have to make the value What's the look? Forks, forks, forks.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Forks. Hey, do the forks. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Fuck yeah. Hey. Nice.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Nice. A little bit of splash show. Got a little shambu going there for a second, huh? Yeah. Welcome to the splash. Jesus. I'll take a fucking tidal wave coming out of your mouth for a little bit. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Hey. Electric though. Yeah, no. That would have fired me up. We'll get you a bagel up here. We'll get you a bagel up to this. Go to ASU. ASU money line.
Starting point is 00:37:00 money line. Asholes and elbows, man. Let's take ASU, but I ain't taking the money line. I'm going to take the over as well, because I'm doing two bets. I'm doing too bad. You got two bets. Are you going to put them together as a parlay? Parlay.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Let's do it. Yeah, activate the parlay. Activate the parlay. I'm taking the spread and I'm taking the over. 51 and a half. Ooh. Can't take ESU money one though? Kenny Dillingham, Tampa, Arizona.
Starting point is 00:37:27 You look, I'm all about Arizona. I love Arizona. I took a recruiter. No, I wouldn't ever made it to the NFL. That's why I didn't go. Same. Yeah. And, well, you couldn't.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Why? Yeah, it's like. You're going from to prison at high school. Hey, man. Go ahead. I don't know what you're talking about. I should have heard Taylor talking to him on the bus earlier. Everybody watching.
Starting point is 00:37:51 They just watch the locker and not busking the boys. Yeah, it's crazy. You just lie about that bowl thinking about chemicals as a kid. You know. Delaney, you were poor? Like, you guys didn't care about that shit. Bro. You're not thinking about.
Starting point is 00:38:01 Chemicals. You need your 40-year-old brain and put it in a seven-year-old. Go watch Buston with the boys. It just like, I'm with you. There's a part. It's just like the talent on each team. Yeah. Yeah, it's way different.
Starting point is 00:38:14 It's way different. It is massive. It's going to change after this year, though. It's going to change, though. Now they're going to get a lot of recruits coming this far. Every team who make it to the playoffs get recruits. You don't think so. I mean, money is always involved into it.
Starting point is 00:38:28 You beat Texas? Arizona got big money. Do that golden chalice on the other side of the rainbow, that's due Texas. You don't think Arizona got big money, though? No. You crazy. Arizona is kind of like a Nashville. Like, it's people are like, there's a few people from there, but all the rich folk come
Starting point is 00:38:44 from somewhere else. That's true. I'll give you that, but that shit flows. Also, here's crazy. They don't believe maroon and gold. But they may. Which cool colors, just like Minnesota. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Washington. And Washington. Because just like Nashville, you got cast that move here, but they start buying in. Like the year when we went to the playoffs, who was number one seat, how many people jumped ship to become Tennessee Titan fans? I feel. And then once we... Just like to visit the Nashville, they left.
Starting point is 00:39:12 And once we lost, now they back to their own self. Wow, let me sell my ticket. Back to the Steelers fans, yeah. Yeah, that's what happens. Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree with you. I'm not sure... Oh, you're saying money. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Balsie Parley. Let's hear it. I got, I got one. Y'all both got one? I ain't made one here. The knowledge pick of the week is sponsored by Fireball. Fireball is a perfect shot for game day. Whether you're buying those sneaky little shooters before going into the stadium
Starting point is 00:39:37 or going big with a fireball cake for your tailgate. Whether it's a pregame shot at tailgate lot or a celebratory shot at the bar. No matter what, it's guaranteed to ignite your game day. Balsy pick, Balsey Parley. Will Compton. You have the four. All right. If you are listening right now, you've got to put this pick in.
Starting point is 00:39:56 If it's Monday night and you're watching, this is the pick you've got to put in because it involves games tomorrow on Tuesday. Hold the phone. I'm going to get my job. Okay, bring it up. Why are you bringing it up? We're going to be moving the line a lot because there's a lot of big spreads out there
Starting point is 00:40:08 and I want to get you some winners. So I'm going Alabama minus six and a half versus Michigan. That kicks off tomorrow at 11 a.m. Again, if you're listening Tuesday morning or Monday night, put this parlay in. You're going to move the line, Alabama to minus six and a half. You're going to take South Carolina. You're going to move that line down to minus six and a half
Starting point is 00:40:25 versus Illinois. You're going to go to Penn State. Move that line down to six and a half. Arizona State plus 12 and a half. We're taking that spread out right. And then you're going to go to the Ole Miss Duke. They play on January 2nd on Thursday, I believe. That's Thursday, yeah?
Starting point is 00:40:41 Thursday, I believe. You're going to move that line down to Ole Miss minus 7. That parlay put together five-leger plus 738. Happy New Year. That's a parlay. That's a parley. That's a parley. That's a good parlay.
Starting point is 00:40:55 That's a great parlay. That's a good parlay. You say you a Z. Because of Alabama? I mean, I can't. Yeah, no, I get that. I mean, but maybe you can find another game. Like, I didn't go.
Starting point is 00:41:05 I should have put Georgia Notre Dame because I'm really starting to love Georgia. I'm really starting to love Georgia. But you could do that. I'm about to put the rest of my draftings account on Arizona State of Moneyland. What's your account? Yeah, what's the account?
Starting point is 00:41:21 $4,700? $4,700? That money line, that money line going to be crazy. $3.3.3.000. God. Damn. Let's go. Come on, Dilly.
Starting point is 00:41:30 Scatiboo. Yeah, $2,000. God damn. Yeah. That's nuts. Got to have it. It's locked. He locked it in.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Locked it in. Let's go, A-Z. Yeah. Let's go, A-Z. Let's go. Are we good to go? We feel good? Forks up.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Hey, thanks for tuning in. Forks up. Good luck to you this week. College football playoff. We appreciate you big hugs. Tiny kisses. NFL show tomorrow. NFL show tomorrow.
