Let's go. Yeah, let's go.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Mike Singletary. Mike Singletary. Psycho with the eyes just. Zeebo. Grit and grind. I was thinking of him. Dang. Zibo.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Why is 50? Why is 50? Zach Randolph. Zach Randolph. Yeah. Grizzlies legend. Why can't I think of 50? Mookie Betts.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Mooky Betts. God. Another Tennessee legend. I'm washed. That's a good one too. From Tennessee. Yeah. Nashville legend.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Overton legend. I got to go to Google. I know. What number did, uh, did Mike Vrabble where? I think he was 50. I think he was 50. I think he was 50. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:05 If he wasn't with, I think he was 50 at both the Chiefs and the Patriots. David Robinson. Is that a basketball guy? Pretty sure that is the admiral for the San Antonio Spurs. Oh, yeah. Pre-Tim Duncan, kind of early Tim Duncan, actually. Ryan Shazier. Oh, Rip to a great career.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Not RIP, but RIP to his football career. RIP to the career. Yeah. What an absolute stud. Lawrence Taylor? Lawrence Taylor. I thought he was 56. Adam Wainwright?
Starting point is 00:03:39 That's a good pitcher. That's a stud. Jordan Bennington, that's a star goaltender. According to Google, I mean, I'm pretty sure we whooped his ass in the Olympics, but it's whatever. We have a very special episode for you guys today, as you guys saw on Monday. Our class of 2026 interns started this week. We're going to do exactly what we did last year.
Starting point is 00:04:03 We're going to bring them up and just grill them with some questions. It should be fine. Let's do it. What's first impressions so far of everybody? One, I'm excited because I wasn't here for this episode last year. Oh, damn. I was in Greece. Oh.
Starting point is 00:04:18 And I remember watching it and thinking, man, I cannot wait to meet these guys. I think an obvious fun one will be Chris. Yep. Chris is a unique character. Yes, he is. It's already made some jokes that are on the line when Delaney got here first time meeting him. So that's always fun. We might have to have a timer for when he's up there.
Starting point is 00:04:34 We got a fellow Gamecock also in the building, which I feel like has to be noted. First time. And I'm sure as soon as he gets up here, it will be noted again. Yeah, 100%. And I'll make sure nobody grills them. Should we get into it? Let's do it. Bring up the first one.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Who we bringing up? Ryan. Okay. One of the social guys. Yeah. Hey, Ryan. No, intern Ryan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Come on up, brother. Welcome to hell. Shout out to other Ryan being Johnny on the spot. He was ready to help. Ryan's always not ready. Ryan. Ryan Nolan was our first intern. Get in here, brother.
Starting point is 00:05:08 He was first. He was our first. He was our first. Keep with the Ryan's. Yeah. How are you feeling? I'm crowded on this couch at these beasts. You got to get that close to your mouse.
Starting point is 00:05:17 All right. You ready? Are you more nervous now for this appearance than Bussons? I don't know. Wrong answer. We have some questions. These are the exact. Well, first off, JP and I had an episode two weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Oh, yeah. We said you guys had to come prepared with some answers to some things. Yeah. Do you have those answers for us? So I'm going to like not really snitch all the other interns, but I'll tell you that we had planned for each person to remember something. Okay. So I know about Jack's worst injury being his wrist because that was like my thing.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I don't know what other people is. Is this a cop out? Wrong. I think it's incorrect. I wasn't here for it. So I don't know what the. It was your worst injury. My worst injury was my head injury and I smashed it up pretty bad in college.
Starting point is 00:06:09 But I have talked. about the wrists a couple of times on the pod. So I'll give you half credit for sure. And social guy. Yeah, that's a deep cut. So who knew an injury of his. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:18 That was like we, the way we did it was we were divvying it up. I didn't realize it was like on episode. Hey, but they're working together as a unit. Right. That's what you want to see. That's what you want to see.
Starting point is 00:06:29 But if we, so should we not tell you the answer? So you don't, are you, I mean, any, any question that is asked here cannot be told downstairs.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Okay. Yeah. And we'll know. No. Yes. We won't. It was Brooks. He was like, I mean, listen, he texted us.
Starting point is 00:06:45 He said that we all need to like remember this stuff. And then he was like, I think it was kind of as a consensus. We were like, let's split it up. So mine was Jacks, but I don't know the other ones. It's so funny because Brooks actually came up to me and gave me my answer, gave the answer for me. That's epic. So he's like, your brother's name is Nate, right? And I was like, yeah, we'll talk about that later in the week.
Starting point is 00:07:07 But yeah, so my brother's name is Nate. J.P.'s birthday? Not, Christmas. Christmas Day. Oh, I actually. Damn. And then,
Starting point is 00:07:15 Coup, you got to give him a little pump-up speech about the Cardinals. So if you want to go ahead and take the floor on that. Christ. Yeah, I mean, you guys got Carson back. That's big.
Starting point is 00:07:25 You know, I'm from South Florida, so I have a lot of Miami Hurricane friends. They love him. They love him. They love him? They love him? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:33 They said he's not as good as Cam Ward, but they love him. So, I mean, he looks good against Ole Miss. He looked really good in that Ole Miss. He had a game.
Starting point is 00:07:40 If you get that version of them, I think you guys are going to win at least five games. Let's go. Mix with Jay Love. That's so sad. I mean, I'll take five. No, you know, just more on the dolphins.
Starting point is 00:07:51 So we get Arch. That's all I want. Yes. You ruined it because I want Arch. All right, Jack. All right, like we mentioned earlier, I don't know if you heard it, but we did these questions with the interns last year.
Starting point is 00:08:03 These are the exact same questions. No change. And the same with our trivia questions between us. You cannot tell anyone the questions that are about to be asked to you. We have a cop down there. Yeah, we have a few cops. Yeah. Okay, so first question.
Starting point is 00:08:17 If you had to take a bullet for either Will or Taylor, which one are you choosing and why not the other? Well, they're both great. First of all. Good start. I will go Will because I was at Barstall last year. So I feel like there's more of a connection there. But I really like Taylor, too. He's been awesome.
Starting point is 00:08:36 All right. Solid. That's fine. I think that's fine. And I said this again on last year's episode. Will Taylor do not watch this program. In respect for answering it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Straight up, not trying to play the middle. Yeah. Because you play the middle, that's already the worst answer. Right. It's like we want someone to ride the fence. Yeah. All right. Question number two.
Starting point is 00:08:55 You get one slap. Pastor present in sports media. Who are you choosing and why? So basically who is your least favorite sports media? Jeremy Klump. Yeah, he has to share the story behind this, actually. Please do it here. Wait for Clump.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Like, should I tell it out? No, no. Yeah, tell the people. All right. Basically, I ran a social media for a gym that I worked at or worked out at. I worked for them. It's called Perform Tua also trained there. So I was a huge Tua guy.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Clump back in like 2021 was like super dolphins, Twitter troll, like all this stuff. Yeah, Tuan on, all this stuff. So I basically, when I was like 16, maybe 17, because I was writing this account, I'd see clump a lot and get a lot of fights with him on Twitter from the gym account. But one day I decided to go on my own Twitter and basically message him calling him a loser and a fake fan and all this stuff. He messaged me back saying like, you know, it was a picture of me when I was like 14, the profile picture. He's like, I hope that's not your son, you're a bad father or whatever. And I was like, jokes on you, that's me.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Funny you try to take the high ground. And basically that was the whole. Damn. That's actually electric. You don't want to know. Let's go. That's actually electric. That's a great answer
Starting point is 00:10:08 Club left that part of the story out too Yeah I picked out the DM Yeah on his desk Yeah he gave it to him in a picture frame Oh was that with that picture frame I saw that earlier On Monday I saw that
Starting point is 00:10:20 All right those are two solid answers You're off to a hot side Yeah stock is very high We got we have four more questions So question number three Would you snitch on any of the guys At the shop to Will and Taylor If it may you got a full-time position
Starting point is 00:10:33 Tomorrow Oh Like one of the interns or anyone No, no, no, not intern. People who work full-time. I don't like to snitch on people, just in general. Yeah. I'd rather work hard and get a full-time position
Starting point is 00:10:45 than cop out like that. All right. Beasts. Three for three. All right, go around this room and describe each guy with one word from what you know about them right now. Backstory for the people.
Starting point is 00:10:58 They've been here for three days. Yeah. You can start with Derek. You can go this way. All right, Derek. Pittsburgh Hey there you go I don't want to say like social media
Starting point is 00:11:14 I don't want to just say like social media Because it's kind of my boss Because it's two words Yeah boss That plays Somebody over there Yeah Brooks
Starting point is 00:11:29 Brooks Brooks you got to go downstairs my guy You're good You're good What he said He said I'm just grab my charger such a good dude I'll be honest
Starting point is 00:11:41 I don't know what everyone does yet so I'm not I'm not sure you do okay but wait what did you say for Jack boss boss boss I'm a winner do you like production
Starting point is 00:11:54 nice that works I would see I would say Cardinals but honestly even wearing that Marlins hat I'm a Marlins guys I'm just gonna go Marlins let's go
Starting point is 00:12:03 Miami Connection windstreaks be nothing now Coop. Rangers. I'll go vlogs. Let's go. Go the vlogs. Just going with positions.
Starting point is 00:12:14 I like it. All right. Question number six or five, six, whatever. Five? Yeah. What did you lie about on your resume that you are not qualified for? It doesn't have to be qualified, but what did you really dress up on your resume that you are not really that great at?
Starting point is 00:12:34 Probably. Like, I mean, I wouldn't say there's anything. like I wasn't like good at I'd say like some of the barstle stuff when I'm like working with draft kings like I didn't really work with draft kings I just like made posts basically kind of like made it sound like oh
Starting point is 00:12:48 I was the guy working with draft kings but that wasn't really you guys that's completely valid you have that is yeah yeah I work for Omaha yeah no I mean you got a kind of dress your resume yeah you got to all right so the final question have you ever been to a waffle house first yes but a long time
Starting point is 00:13:06 we go. Okay, but you understand the idea of a late night food stop. Yeah. You're walking into a waffle house or whatever cookout, whatever food's up you want. You're walking into a waffle house at 2 a.m. And you get to choose a walk-up song that you're entering the building in. What song is that? I mean, this is easy answer to the Stone Cold Steve Austin theme song. Like glass shattered, walking to the waffle house. Everyone knows what's up. When that glass showers, everyone looks. They're like, oh shit. And the pop's insane in there. So I love that. I don't even know if that really, I think it's just, instrumental. Yeah, because our follow-up question to this, though, last year was, now sing it.
Starting point is 00:13:43 It's just like, psh, burn-o-p-purnum, burn-brin-brin-brin-brin. I mean, that's fair. You honestly chose a very solid one to not get put on the spot. Yeah. So, I mean, I don't know. I'd say I think he passed with flying colors. That's my guy. That's so good. We're going to know. All right. Any closing thoughts? Yeah. Oh, actually, I have one more question for him. Yeah. Who is the real UT? Uh, Texas. They were YouTube before Tennessee? No, they were not. Tennessee was established four years prior.
Starting point is 00:14:12 It was 18, 17 is when y'all were. We were 1812. You guys were like a different name. Without Tennessee, Texas would be Mexico. That's a rumor. You guys had like 10 volunteers. What's a rumor? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:14:24 Do you not know what the Alamo was? I know you guys didn't have that many volunteers there. It was only like 10 or something. Hey, they pumped the numbers. And without us, you would be speaking Spanish. Dude, you did great. Let's just start trying to run this. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Ryan, go down there and choose whoever you'd like to send up. I think Chris has to go last because he's working on stuff. Okay. So anyone but Chris and do not share any information, please. I'll also say quick Google search said that UT is Tennessee. Yeah. They were first. It was 1812.
Starting point is 00:14:53 And I think Texas was 18, 17. He crushed it. He crushed it. Yeah, solid. Solid answers from top to bottom. I'll tell you why that boy works out because I'm over here like this. He said he could do 35 at 135 at 135. I believe him now.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I was pinned to the corner. I think we had 35. Yeah, we got 35. I got 33. I think so. I got 27. Yeah. I mean,
Starting point is 00:15:15 was he just talking to you about trying to find a gym here in Nashville? He's already on the hunt. On the hunt. We got to get him with the Y. Nobody wants to work out here. Brooks. He's going to come to the Y.
Starting point is 00:15:22 There he is. Brooksie. Welcome to the show. You don't have to squad here. Hey, hey, you guys, sit down here. Come on, brother. All right,
Starting point is 00:15:33 why don't you just going to introduce yourself, name, hometown we did not do that for yeah i know yeah we should have done that how old are you uh 21 21 everybody 21 uh so there's uh 22 22 good that yeah and then uh i'm 21 and then we have another 21 and then there's a 20 who's 20 uh chris of course he is shout out brooks knowing everybody's age you i know i do my research i think he might be the most prepared of them all i know i'm excited for this one so go ahead Oh, yeah, I'm Brooks.
Starting point is 00:16:08 I'm 21, Brooks Huber. I'm from Queen Creek, Arizona. And, you know, excited to be here with you guys. I've been, you know, listening, dedicated. This is what episode, 51? 50. 50. We missed an episode last week.
Starting point is 00:16:19 You missed an episode last week. Okay. You guys are going, you guys already go through the players that were 50? Yes, we did. If you have one. Sean Lee. Dude, this guy has a good one. Are y'all the real creek in Arizona?
Starting point is 00:16:33 I mean, there's so many. Like, I don't think they're very. creative. Who would be which cities better? Cave Creek or Queen Creek? Queen. Let's go. Let's go. I mean, hey, you know, sorry, Taylor. Yeah. Uh, sorry, not sorry, but, you know, don't worry. They're not going to listen to this. True thirds. True thirts. Um, staying on business. We started it. We started. We asked Ryan and I actually told how you already answered this question, but there was a question two weeks ago when JP and I's episode for each of us. Oh yeah. Uh, Jack, you broke your wrist. Um, don't ask me how I found that out. Um, um, but,
Starting point is 00:17:05 mother name Nate. Yep. Christmas birthday. Come on. Dude, cards are going to get 10 wins this season. You're good. He nailed it.
Starting point is 00:17:14 He's such a beast. They're not five. Jack's worst injuries when he cracked his head open. Yeah, but his butt, I have said. From live music under the stars to immersive public art,
Starting point is 00:17:25 local food and drink and stories that shaped a nation. There's nowhere quite like face 31. Wander historic hangers. Catch world class concerts. Discover exhibitions. patios, and moments you'll remember long after summer ends.
Starting point is 00:17:40 History isn't kept behind glass here. It surrounds you. This season, experience Prince Edward County's hottest cultural destination. Explore what's on now at base 31.ca. I love the sounds. The buzzing from the stadium, the chanting from the fans,
Starting point is 00:17:59 the announcers calling the place soccer, football, at home. Why do I watch the walk up? That's like asking me, why do I breed? I inherited that fandom for my mom. I like watching it with my dad. It's a connecting force.
Starting point is 00:18:16 From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernanda Chavari, and this is American Football, a show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots. We go beyond the game to the people and the stories that make it great. A soccer game is a festival. It's not just a game. It's your culture. I took an elbow to my head, which cracked my side. skull. It is an American game. The Brazilians don't like hearing that, though. Are they the only ones that don't like that?
Starting point is 00:18:43 Actually, nobody likes that. As we get ready for the Men's World Cup this summer, listen to American Football as part of the My Coutura Podcast Network, available on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Hoda Kotby, host of the podcast, Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby. Together, we're going to have meaningful conversations with the world's most fascinating people. Like when actress Olivia Munn shared how she overcame fierce health challenges. I've gone through breast cancer and then helped my mother through breast cancer, and that was more difficult. There's a lot of people who understand postpartner depression. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It is a part of exciting because their new star is Javier T. Tarito Hernandez.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Everyone sees me as a football player, but before anything else, I'm human. Every single day, I'm still learning how to live with problems, mistakes, relationships, emotions ever since I was born. And I still have so many questions. Where do we come from? What happens after death? How do you deal with cancellation? Cristiano or Messi?
Starting point is 00:19:58 Do aliens exist? What is love? Real Madrid or Varsa? From every day and ordinary to the deep and extraordinary. This isn't a normal podcast. Everything here is spontaneous, real and genuine. podcast is like a deep talk with your closest friends where vulnerability comes out conspiracy theories end up on the table and goals and lessons are shamed. All in this life has an order perfect and all is just.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Wait me. I'm here to pressur me but me will go to connect. The Chicharito. Oh Javier and Chicharito. And together with IHA Radio, we're going to make the ordinary, extraordinary, extraordinary. Stay close. It's a crack. Wow.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Listen to learning to be human on IHard Radio, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Chris on here. So I'm moving forward, I'm going to allow that. That's all right. Is that allowed? Okay. That's totally fine.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Dude, the depths that I had to go just to find that. For some reason, I was like, where are they finding this info out? Like, was it totally like, do you want to know,
Starting point is 00:20:52 like the behind the scenes of the research? I would love to, yeah. Okay. So I, I first looked through like your Twitter, Instagram. I was looking for like any keywords, like injury,
Starting point is 00:21:00 all that stuff. Dude, you're very under wraps like about that stuff. It's almost like it's a hipa violation if you dispose it. And so I had to go over to Claude, you know, I'm like, hey. Yeah. Injuries on AI, Jack?
Starting point is 00:21:14 Yeah, no, no, I first asked like, hey, and they're like, dude, we have no idea. We don't know who this guy is. Yeah, no, we have no idea Jack is. So then at that point, I was like, okay, I started pasting like the busing with the boys like podcast descriptions in. And it found maybe like two months ago or whatever. You guys were talking about all your injuries.
Starting point is 00:21:30 And it was a part of that description. So that's how I found it. We're going to allow that the race to move forward. Because I, that's a very, I mean, good on you. Is that chill? What a problem. I don't know how much time you spent on that, but... No, no, it was honestly...
Starting point is 00:21:44 So I was listening to it at night, right? And it honestly took me like 15 minutes to find everything for you guys. Nice. So it was... It was pretty quick. Yeah. That's beast. And then I may have sent it to the group chat right after I found out.
Starting point is 00:21:57 So that's... Which is also... I didn't know I was not supposed to share it until I talked to you on Monday. Yeah. So that's on me. That's good leadership, though. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:05 I want to make sure, you know, the boys were prepared. You know, we're a unit. So... Yeah. Yeah. So if everybody knows those answers, that's fine. But these next questions that Jack's going to hit you with cannot be. They cannot be.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Okay. You cannot tell the guys downstairs who have not gone. All right. We got six questions. First one, if you just take a bullet for either Will or Taylor, which one are you choosing and why not the other? Okay. Right now, I'm leaning towards Taylor.
Starting point is 00:22:31 And here's why. I've had more conversations with Taylor. And that's probably why. Also, Will made me squat. in that bus for a solid six or seven minutes. You were the one where he went on that hole just like, you're being scared of, now I scared of it.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Now, Jared, you know, he didn't show all of the two minutes of him just pausing. So it looks like I'm like out of breath one day after 30 seconds. And that's not the case. Like I just want to put that on the record. It was a solid two to three minutes where Will is just staring into Taylor's eyes.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Just pondering. Fate pondering. Yeah. I at first thought, I didn't know it was a bit until like the 30 second mark. Yeah. And then I was like, I thought maybe like the CTE or the CISD was kicking in.
Starting point is 00:23:11 But no, that was not fun at all. And I was just sitting in the back and then Clump just kept asking, Brooks, you okay, you're okay? I must have looked really rough out there if you just kept asking me like that. So like that was a little bit embarrassing. Not like not the best first impression on the bus, I would say. I love how personal this has turned. Yeah, it's great.
Starting point is 00:23:32 It's awesome. Yeah. We're not shooting anybody. but yeah, you take a bullet for Taylor. Yeah, I'll take a bullet for Taylor. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:23:41 I mean, he's an Arizona guy. I got it. All right, solid. Question two. You get to slap one person
Starting point is 00:23:48 past or present in sports media. Who is it? Oh my gosh. Okay. Well, at one point, it was going to be
Starting point is 00:23:55 Dan Rolowski. And now I've come around to him. Now, and only because, like, I've been a Cowboys fan, right? In the big,
Starting point is 00:24:01 you know, you know, Dack versus Wentz debate. You know, I grew up in North Dakota. Like, I always heard about how great Carson Wentz
Starting point is 00:24:07 was I'm saying that in quotations. Now, he was an eagle. I'm a Cowboys fan. I hated the Bison when he was there, all that stuff. So he was always like the biggest Carson Wentz Homer. He says he was right in that moment. He wasn't. But, you know, some people can't admit that they're wrong and that's okay.
Starting point is 00:24:24 I mean, sports media now, I don't know if I, I mean, that's a tough question. Putting it on the spot. No wrong answers. Dan O's a great answer. Yeah, I mean, Dan O. I mean, not exactly. I mean, not anymore, but like for the longest time, he was. Was it?
Starting point is 00:24:38 Yeah. Dan is a man, though. No, no, he seems like a great guy now. Like, I've, I've overcome. He just needs a little slapping. But yeah. All right. Of the employees that work here full time,
Starting point is 00:24:48 would you snitch on any of them to get a full-time position tomorrow? Hell no. This is brotherhood. Hell yeah. All right. Moving on. Question number four.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Go around this room and describe each guy with one word. Let's start with Derek. I'm going to say early. because when I I like to go to the office really and he's already there clip that so I would say early for him
Starting point is 00:25:15 I mean I hope this doesn't sound like glazing but like aura for Jack I can't say that Brooks is a great answer you're not wrong well no I don't know like how I started like falling on Instagram like eight months ago or whatever I think you were just posting
Starting point is 00:25:31 some funny things about Compton and then I've been like just somehow just like still following and no you like post like you know some some pretty chill on Instagram stories. So I'm like, okay. Appreciate that. He knows what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Or, uh, um, good luck, Mitch. I know, we're running out of good options. I'm scared. Yeah. It's kind of tough because like, I don't know too many, you know, words in my head right now. So. That's something we all struggle with. The dead silence or?
Starting point is 00:25:58 Nope. Oh, not at all. There's no editing the habit. Hey, but you sit in it. It's all good. It's quiet. We all struggle with words. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Tear talk. When they say one word, we all say. the same like seven words every time. I'm gonna say, I'm misunderstood for you, Mitch. Okay. Now, for this one, wait a minute. When I came here, like, I would listen to the pod and I was like, you know, he's really
Starting point is 00:26:18 dogging on Matt. Like, you know, he's talking about Matt being the run to the litter. I'm like, you know, I come here. I'm, I'm shorter than Matt. Like, I'm skinnier than that. And I'm like, oh, shit, I'm going to get dogged on by Mitch. And so I'm already like building that up in my head, like a tolerance. I'm like, okay, I got to be, I got to be ready for that.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Makes me sound like a bully. No, no, no, it's not. But you're misunderstood. That's where you're misunderstood because I came here and you've been just a dog the entire time. So I do really appreciate that. You've been really fun to get to know and helps me a lot with that. So like I appreciate that. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:48 You're welcome. Thank you. Yeah. All of the above, dude. Cool. Swear to God if someone says unapproachable. No, I mean, I would just say. Is that what?
Starting point is 00:26:58 There's history there. There's history. No, no. Okay. Okay. I would say chill because like I've, I've been pulling up to your. So for people at home that don't know, his desk, he's got a chair that's on the opposite side of it. And where they're sitting and where we're sitting, like, there's not like that many spots.
Starting point is 00:27:15 So like that chair is normally open. And so I've been just kind of like, you know, camping there a little bit. And you've been totally okay with it. Hell yeah. You know, I appreciate you've been very chill about that. Hey, chill. A chill guy. And so, yeah, I would say that for you.
Starting point is 00:27:29 And then, Jafie, probably just inspiring. Like the way you carry yourself. That one is, you nailed it. That means a lot. Thank you. Yeah, I've been keeping up with your content and you're doing a lot of like the Tuesday brain food. Yeah. I've been really liking that in your clips.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Now, I mean, I will be getting around to watching the Conrashaw episode and the one that you have coming out after that. Because then I'm going to pick your brain about your interview strategy and all that stuff. Yeah. No, I mean, it's been, it's been really cool to meet you. I have a lot of buddies who are big fans of you. So, I mean, they're over there geek in that I'm, you know, just standing next to the great. right JP. That's funny. Appreciate that. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:28:08 That means a lot. Brooks is down right now. All right. All right. Moving on. Question five. What did you put on your resume for this position? There might be a little cap. Probably like my GPA. So now
Starting point is 00:28:24 the GPA part was my higher. No, no, no. The GPA part was my high school GPA that I just continue to have. I don't want to look at what my ASU GPA was. No one does it. I don't know. Like I don't even want to do that myself.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Okay. Yeah. It's more of those like jump scares that like you know what's around that corner, but you don't even want to, you only want to look at it. Needless to say you had some fun at ASU. Well, I mean, not just like, well, yeah. So the issue was like I was taking like pretty tough classes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I'm a business major. So you know, those are very tough classes. Well, you know, it's the accounting, the economics. Like, you know, those things just really suck. Um, and it didn't help that I, well, I'm not going to, you know. Yeah, you don't have to, you don't have to, you don't have to, you know, I'm not going to. I think if there was something to kind of maybe a little fraudulent on, no one's looking to GP up at college.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Right. Well, I would hope, and I don't want to say like especially not here, but like I would, I would. You get the gist. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, cool. Final question. Are you familiar with what Waffleoss is or have you been to a Waffleoss? I think I, I mean, yeah, familiar.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I think I've been a couple of times. Yeah. So just imagine, like, you, your go-to late-night food spot. If you're walking in. Yeah, yeah, like at Denny's. If you're walking in at Denny's at 2 a.m. And you get to cue something up on the jukebox to walk into. What is that song?
Starting point is 00:29:44 That's a tough one. Okay. I'm really thinking hard about this one. I mean, like, I like Freebird. That's always, like, my go-to. Like, whenever, you know, I'm 21, so I can say this. You know, whenever I'm having a couple. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:01 And, you know, I start to really, I feel like the vibes of the night. I'll throw that on to, you know, get things kicked out to high gear. You're in the South. man skinner skinner forever all right so now go ahead and sing free bird just give you your best shot oh yeah we're serious just one little you know just one line of it you can even go free bird any of the solo on right well so there's a guitar down there i mean it's acoustic so it's not gonna be like the the electric that the song needs but um free bird yeah and then you Hey, you do it.
Starting point is 00:30:35 There we go. There you go. There you go. All right. I think that's pretty solid. That's good. Great job, Brooks. Great job.
Starting point is 00:30:44 I appreciate you guys having me. It's an honor to be here. Yes, sir. Yeah. Let's go. Go ahead and send someone up besides Chris. Yeah. Anyone besides Chris, you can send them up.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Good job, brother. Oh, oh. Gotta had one mess up. Crisis-inverted. Say what word of Bay Jack do is so low. Hey, he, hey. He's, he. It's well played. He was controlling the room. Hey, how'd that feel? That felt amazing.
Starting point is 00:31:10 That was perfect. Yeah, that was cool. And for him to say his friends are tapped in. I'm like, man, that's crazy. Man, he's in the pocket. Because he's meeting you. I know. That's like, like, quickly, what that reminds me of was when JP got fake fired. My brother texted me. He's like, damn, I actually really like JP. But also shout out to the people when I got fake fired that we're like commenting under all the posts. Like, hey, so is there an opening? Let's go. Get in here, brother. Sit down, Dirk. Grab you one of these.
Starting point is 00:31:45 How you feeling? Living the dream, my man. Are you more nervous for this or were you more nervous for when you got caught on the bus? Definitely the boss. Okay. Fair enough. Let's perform. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Hey, go ahead and introduce yourself. Name hometown age. I'm Danny Durk and I'm from Chicago, Illinois, and I'm 21 years old. What position are you here for? Graphic design? Let's fucking go. Actually, another question before we get in there, do you believe Matt Malone is a true Blackhawks fan?
Starting point is 00:32:14 Yeah, he knows ball. Okay. All right. He knows Puck. He knows Puck. Yeah, whatever. He needed that. That's stamped.
Starting point is 00:32:19 That could have been bad. It could have been bad. There was a question that J.P. and I posed, a couple episodes back for each one of us. Do you have the answers for those? It was him. Coop was Tell them
Starting point is 00:32:34 Cardinals are 10 and 6 They're making a good team There you go Just positive Appreciate it Uh JP Christmas
Starting point is 00:32:46 Yeah your birthday's on Christmas Uh Mitch Your brother's Nate Yep Good poll Jack You had a bad
Starting point is 00:32:59 Like injury Wrist injury or something like that Correct Yeah Yeah Let's go You're in the pocket it. All right. So what we're going to do is we're going to ask you six questions.
Starting point is 00:33:06 Answer them truthfully. Once you're done, you go down there. You don't tell anyone. The first question, if you had to take a bullet for Will or Taylor, who are you choosing and why not the other? Probably say Taylor. Take a ball. I've just talked to them more since I've been here. Okay. It's definitely why. Yeah. Yeah, that's all. That's been a little consensus. I feel like that was the answers last year because Will just kind of doesn't talk to the new guys. And in the summer, especially this summer, Will's gone a lot. Yeah. I had to get talk with Willie yesterday for a little while too. That's good. He's still dying in your scenario, but
Starting point is 00:33:39 all right. You get one slap on somebody in sports media can be past or present. Who are you choosing to slap? Brandon Walker. Great answer. That might be the best answer ever heard. I'm with you. I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:34:02 All right. We'll stand with you on that. Moving along. Question three. Of the guys who are fully employed here full-time. Would you snitch on any of them if it meant tomorrow, Will and Taylor were going to give you a full-time position here? No. So far, we've got a real crew.
Starting point is 00:34:19 So far. You believe it, too. It was quick. Yeah. No reason he needed. We're going to have you go around the room, starting with Derek. Going this way, describe each guy in this room with one word. I feel like Derek, so I'll give him happy. So he's got a smile on his face. Let's go. He is a happy guy.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Jack I'll say big big dude yeah Jack's just not fat not fat not Jack's collecting so many wins
Starting point is 00:34:47 he is big also Mitch I'll give you I'll give you Mitch Mitch a beast Nice Yeah He saw that squad A picture
Starting point is 00:34:55 Yeah That front squad Coop legend He's taught me a lot So far Let's go I take legend Let's go
Starting point is 00:35:01 And then JP I'll give him The brains for sure Let's go. Rare answer for me. I like that. Those are quick too. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:35:13 those are solid. Okay. Question number five. What was something that you may have exaggerated a bit on your resume from getting hired here for? I don't even know my resume, to be honest with you. Or a. That page speaks for yourself.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Yeah, exactly. My assistant did it. That might be the answer. I'm good with that answer. That's a great answer. I'm good with that answer. All right. Summer is on at Base 31.
Starting point is 00:35:44 The Drill Hall RBC stage is packed with big shows, live music, and electric summer nights. Featuring acts like Father John Misty, the beaches and wild rivers. From Can't Miss concerts to food, drinks, art, history, and places to gather across the B-31 district. There's never been a better time to visit Base 31 in Prince Edward County. Plan your visit at base31.ca. I love the sounds, the buzzing from the stadium, the chanting from the fans, the announcers calling the place soccer, football, it's home. Why do I watch the World Cup? That's like asking me, why do I breed?
Starting point is 00:36:32 I inherited that fandom from my mom. I like watching it with my dad. It's a connecting force. From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernanda Chavari, and this is American Futurban. A show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots. We go beyond the game to the people and the stories that make it great. A soccer game is a festival. It's not just a game. It's your culture. I took an elbow to my head, which cracked my skull.
Starting point is 00:37:02 It is an American game. The Brazilians don't like hearing that, though. Are they the only ones that don't like that? Nobody likes that. As we get ready for the Men's World Cup this summer, listen to American Free as part of the MyCultura podcast network, available on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Hoda Kotby, host of the podcast, Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby. Together, we're going to have meaningful conversations with the world's most fascinating people, like when actress Olivia Munn shared how she overcame fierce health challenges.
Starting point is 00:37:39 I've gone through breast cancer and then helped my mother through breast cancer, and that was more difficult. There's a lot of people who understand postpartner depression. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And it's an incredible because their new star is Javier T. Turrito Hernandez. Everyone sees me as a football player, but before anything else, I'm human.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Every single day I'm still learning how to live with problems, mistakes, relationships, emotions, ever since I was born. And I still have so many questions. Where do we come from? What happens after death? How do you deal with cancellation? Cristiano or Messi? Do aliens exist?
Starting point is 00:38:22 What is love? Real Madrid or Varsa? From every day and ordinary to the deep and extraordinary. This isn't a normal podcast. Everything here is spontaneous, real and genuine. This podcast is like a deep talk with your closest friends. Where vulnerability comes out. Conspiracy theories end up on the table and goals and lessons are shared.
Starting point is 00:38:41 All in this life has an order perfect and all is just. Wait me. I'm going to pressur me, but me going to be done. It's good. We are here to connect. Like the Chicharito. Oh, Javierito Hernandez, and together
Starting point is 00:38:50 with IHard Radio, we're going to make the ordinary, extraordinary. Stay close. It's a character. Wow. Listen to learning to be human on IHard Radio,
Starting point is 00:39:00 Apple Podcast, or whatever you get your podcast. You've been to a waffle house before. I went one time when I was Atlanta, but they didn't serve us. Okay. That's a peak experience. Wait, why? There was just like too big of a group,
Starting point is 00:39:12 and they were just like, we're not serving you. How long were there for? We just like, we went in and sat down, still for like 20 minutes, but they didn't serve us. I will imagine your go-to late-night food spot. You're walking into set establishment at 2 a.m. And you get to choose a walk-up song from the jukebox.
Starting point is 00:39:29 What walk-up song are you selecting? Oh, boy. New song. Bees on the table by Drake. Okay. When that one part comes on, when he's like, I don't know what he says, he's like, you can say it.
Starting point is 00:39:47 I'm trying to think of it. It's so new, Mitch. Yeah. It's what you know of this song. It was like, spend nothing to something just me and my back or something. Yeah, yeah. We'll take that.
Starting point is 00:40:00 So what we tell the guys, once they give their answer, it gets thrown off guard when we say sing it. And Brooks, yes, the last interview, he thought it was a joke, and he had Freebird. So you kind of were already on pace for it.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Yeah. Wait, now, here's a question, though. Did he start singing because he got warned? No, I do not. I got warned. I just like that was the only way to memorize. I would also say chosen one by Polo G that's the good one.
Starting point is 00:40:24 That is a great. You seen that one too? See that one too? Sing it. Sing it too? I'll sing it. Oh boy, I don't even know how to start.
Starting point is 00:40:33 I feel like he could love, I feel like, someone's got to give me like the start of it and I'd be like, I'd sing that whole song. I'd sing that whole song. Hey, can you freestyle? Yeah, do you freestyle?
Starting point is 00:40:43 No. No. I mean, I can be lying to us. Hey, I feel like he might be lying. I feel like you can freeze down. We got to get him in. Matt in a freestyle battle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:51 The battle for Chicago. It's for the city. I can do it. That's all of our questions, man. That was perfect. Solid. To the point, direct, confident.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Love it. That's my one word for you. Coop. Prodigy, man. Yeah. Be special. Of course. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:10 Hey, great job. Go down there and I guess leave Chris for last. I think it's just Henry that needs to come up. Yeah, see Henry up. And we'll keep them. moving. All right. Appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Yeah, good job. Well done. Well done. Yep. If it's for the city. If it's for the city is a hard line. It was a bar. Shy rack, man.
Starting point is 00:41:32 We got to. You sir. Kids are operating. Yeah. I almost was like, am I supposed to be in this room or you? That new Drake. And then he just starts. He's that whole on.
Starting point is 00:41:45 He didn't even give a shit that he didn't. give a shit that he didn't know he's like I don't know it fuck it yeah you got a good one coop I know he do he get for those that also don't know he made the Travis Pastrona graphic so go check out that episode graphic
Starting point is 00:41:59 dude that was a good yeah but I pulled up but like to your desk and I saw that I'm like oh shit yeah yeah we all stopped it was a scroll stop he made a scroll stopper day one yeah polite
Starting point is 00:42:14 polite Southern here we go take a seat in the middle no squatting this time. We treat our guests with respect. Thank you. Get in here, big man. Best for last for real.
Starting point is 00:42:28 We should get the same closer mouth. I guess technically Chris has to come up here, but. J.P., this is your game cock. You all know, man, this feels good. This feels good to have another game cock. Feels good to have an Isle of Palms local in Nashville. Yeah, Mitch. Mitch's aunt lives.
Starting point is 00:42:45 My aunt was a professor at South Carolina. Really? Yeah. What you teach? marketing yeah marketing in like an entrepreneurship class running her she was like white hair she's all time yeah yeah but yeah i'm fired up you're here but what was our first thing give us your name we already know the hometown and age henry petite and i'm 22 no there was a uh a question that jp and i posed a couple weeks ago on this episode you had to have come in with answers to some of our questions
Starting point is 00:43:14 do you have those answers no When's J.P.'s birthday? Oh, Christmas. Come on. Okay. What do you have to say to Coup? The Cardinals are good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Let's go. They play football. Oh. Let's go. You left out on the desk. Oh, okay. Oh, clutch. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Something about your brother. Yeah. Something about Jack breaking his elbow. Right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, close enough. Map chopped. Yep.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Oh, true. He's the first one to bring that up. Yeah. That's a bad. Is there more? No, I think it was that. They all called Matt chopped when a... Yeah, you called him chopped.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Did you all call him Matt chopped? Chris called him chopped. Chris did. Five seconds into us walking in on the first day. That's awesome. Yeah. Yeah, my brother's name is Nate. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:12 Was I supposed to ask his name? No, you were just supposed to know it. Oh, shit. He said, okay. It's all good. You had chopped Malone on there. Yeah. There's a lot of way in this year.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Okay, so the format here, we've got six questions. You're going to answer them open and honestly. The first question, if you had to take a bullet for Will or Taylor, who are you choosing and why not the other? Don't worry, they don't watch this. Taylor, because on my birthday's New Year's Eve, so bull games are always on New Year's Eve. So I was younger at Frankie's Fun Park and Clowny. that's when they played Michigan so I mean it wasn't Taylor's fault
Starting point is 00:44:56 I don't think I heard him talk about it tight end was like supposed to block him but uh that's like my best childhood memory every ever on my birthday that's awesome because you saved Taylor but in some way you still killed him a little right because let's be real their coach no way their coach is putting a tight end on clownie
Starting point is 00:45:12 Taylor is also also I want to chip in as a 13 year old Michigan fan I grew up a Michigan fan watching that game that was one of the worst calls ever before that I can objectively say so they probably probably deserved Vincent Smith probably deserved
Starting point is 00:45:28 that hit, ball of line. I was there, man. That was peak existence. I'm honestly not sure how they called that a first down. All right,
Starting point is 00:45:36 question two. You need to slap somebody in sports media either past or present. Who are you choosing? Brandon Walker. Yes, bro.
Starting point is 00:45:45 That's right. I hope you're watching, Brandon. We're building an army. All right, question three. We're moving through it. of the guys that are fully employed here
Starting point is 00:45:53 no interns allowed would you snitch on any of them to Will and Taylor if it may you got a full-time position tomorrow like snitch on what just like snitch on any of us full-time but like what did you do like you just got to think
Starting point is 00:46:09 you're just snitching no no yeah easy answer all right I'll have you go around the room starting with Derek going this way and describe each guy in here with one word All right. Derek first. Top of the head.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Chill. Yeah. Join the chill club. Chill guy. But kind of basic. I'd say Jack. Tattoos. That was the first thing I noticed.
Starting point is 00:46:43 I was like you've got tattoos. Mitch. D2 football. D3. D3. Respect. Respect. That's respect right there.
Starting point is 00:46:52 I don't know It's all right We haven't talked enough yet I would say I would say mini hoop basketball is like Okay Hooper Okay
Starting point is 00:47:13 Cooper All right Cooper the Hooper And then Jakey Gamecox Come on man Have to be Mandatory
Starting point is 00:47:19 Mandatory All right solid Question number five What's something that you may be exaggerated a bit on your resume to get this internship. Oh, oh. On my like minute interview, I said I did replays for South Carolina.
Starting point is 00:47:40 I did them for South Carolina sports, but I said football on there, and I didn't do it for football. Like we weren't obligated for football at all. But I took me like 20 times to redo the video, so I just left it in there. I think that's a solid fit. Yeah, that's a good answer, good answer. No one's going to lose their internship over that question either. All right, final question.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Have you been to a waffle house? You're a guy from the south. Yeah, yeah. Okay, thank God. Like 100 times. Okay, beautiful, beautiful. My kind of guy. You're walking into a walled faucet at 2 a.m.
Starting point is 00:48:08 What is your walk-up song that's cued on the jukebox as you enter the establishment? I don't know. I would say something from Outcast. Like an Outcast song, I don't know exactly what I'd put. Rose is? Great start. Great start. We're going to need a specific song.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Unfortunately, we do. Um, Miss Jackson. All right. We're going to need you to sing five to ten seconds of Miss Jackson. I'm sorry, Miss Jackson. Ooh. I am for real. Never meant to make you the dark.
Starting point is 00:48:53 Hell yeah, bro. Perfect. Love it. Did you play sports? Yeah. What did you play? Because you're a big body. Big body.
Starting point is 00:49:03 I know. This is going to be very tragic. Growing up, I played. like all the sports like till probably eighth grade then I like stopped playing because I didn't hit puberty and I was like five six and just bad and then I grew to like six foot played basketball by senior year didn't play at all I was like six foot 160 pounds then after my freshman year of college I grew like two inches and put on like 30 pounds damn that late late gross that is Which is like the most useless gross spurt of all time.
Starting point is 00:49:38 But you look like a linebacker. Thank you. That's a compliment. That's not a useless. I would have taken that in the freshman year at all. It's a nice, but like you have to buy all new clothes and like, you don't even get to like do cool stuff with it.
Starting point is 00:49:52 Right. You're just paying money. Like I learned how to dunk after I played high school basketball. So it's like, because wreck runs. Intermurals. I was an intramural demon. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:50:02 That was an innermrial demon. Are you a champion? Yeah. Back to back. Last two years, back to back. Come on in basketball. Yeah. I was just straight, grit, Draymond Green.
Starting point is 00:50:13 Like, couldn't shoot anymore. Straight rebound. Rebound. I'm right there with. Rebound and vibes on the bench. We're there. All right. That wraps it up, man.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Henry killed it. We now request Chris. Yeah. Oh, wait. Oh, yeah. Cockyland. You are on cockyland time. Have you seen this?
Starting point is 00:50:35 know. They showed me just he just handed it to me but I didn't open it. Didn't you lose that? I thought I lost it but you never lose cockyland man. Cockyland stays with you. Basically I had to do like a brochure when I was in fifth grade or something it's like when you're learning how to do brochures for
Starting point is 00:50:51 whatever reason and so I made cockyland and right now I'm currently in phase one. So stay tuned. So we got Nate Land, Prashana Land. Oh that's guys. Oh they said there was a bunch of of questions in there I had to answer.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Oh, they were trolling me down since. They trolled. You got trolled. All right. All right. Good job, Henry. Go ahead and saying Chris up. You killed it.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Appreciate you being on. Thank you. Thank you. See you, bro. Peace. Thank you. Let's go. Fellow Gamecock.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Yeah. That's so funny. I forgot about that whole episode. I got to get that in motion for real. probably get some land near orange bird start going yeah i mean start building my brother already has some acres yeah what is he going to be making a zoo or yeah we'll see he has most of his aim he just had a he just had a kid yes congratulations i'm officially an uncle in my family oh yeah that's awesome yeah and we and it's a it's a girl so first girl in the hubby family damn nice it's crazy

I love the sounds, the buzzing from the stadium, the chanting from the fans, the announcers calling the place soccer, football, it's home. Why do I watch the World Cup?
Starting point is 00:54:46 That's like asking me, why do I breed? I inherited that fandom from my mom. I like watching it with my dad. It's a connecting force. From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernanda Chavari, and this is American Football, a show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots. We go beyond the game to the people and the stories that make it
Starting point is 00:55:11 great. A soccer game is a festival. It's not just a game. It's your culture. I took an elbow to my head which cracked my skull. It is an American game. The Brazilians don't like hearing that, though. Are they the only ones that don't like that? Nobody likes that. As we get ready for the men's World Cup this summer, listen to American Football as part of the MyCultura podcast network, available on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:56:25 But before anything else, I'm human. Every single day, I'm still learning how to live with problems, mistakes, relationships, emotions, ever since I was born. And I still have so many questions. Where do we come from? What happens after death? How do you deal with cancellation? Cristiano or Messi? Do aliens exist?
Starting point is 00:56:40 What is love? Real Madrid or Varsa? From every day unordinary to the deep and extreme. This isn't a normal podcast. Everything here is spontaneous, real, and genuine. Starting point is 00:57:16 Or I have radio, Apple Podcasts Or whatever you get your podcast No, no, no, y'all are great We're small No, it's just everyone looks small Six five Six Six, six My best
Starting point is 00:57:29 Everyone's gonna look small Yeah Like me and Taylor are nearly the same height Or we are the same height You think you beat in one-on-one? And what? Pick a ball? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:40 Yeah, hell yeah We got to get that going Equestrian, yeah, he don't know what he's working with when he's dealing with equestrian. Oh, geez, hold on. Can I be honest about what we did for the inside the bus? Yeah, go for it. We just created a group chat and we just, someone just looked it up on AI and they found it all. Was it Brooks?
Starting point is 00:58:00 I think it was Brooks. Yeah. That is, I feel like that's a very Brooks thing to do. Yeah. You know, he was prepared. He did tell us that. That was never against the rules. You know, no.
Starting point is 00:58:11 We like the fact that. on the teamwork. Before day one, you guys are. No, we had teamwork. We met for dinner the night before. Oh, shit. Who planned that? It was a group.
Starting point is 00:58:22 Let's go. Everyone was down for it. Where'd y'all go? Oh, we went to, oh, geez, Louise, I got to pull this up. My phone, okay, so here's the deal with my phone when I pull it out of my pocket. The case is broken and it's very sharp on this edge. So, never I tried to pull it out of my pocket, it clips. The edge of my pocket and then the pocket rips.
Starting point is 00:58:47 Like some of I have had a short rip. Where you'll eat at? Where'd you all eat at? Hold on, hold on, hold on. Oh, wait. Geez, I got to find this group chat. I didn't save, like, I didn't name it. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:59:03 I got to search this up. What's there? Like, what's up, hold on. Oh, sorry, club. I'll meet with you. Yeah, I know we had our meeting at 3.30. They just dragged me into this.
Starting point is 00:59:14 so I know. Sorry, I know your time's valuable. I know, I know your time's valuable. I get it. Clay said, Clay said someone needs to be there to pronounce their names correctly. Let me see if I can make it work. He said, let me see if I can make it work. Breaking news, Clay Matthews. But, uh, for, uh, for, uh, reschedule both. Okay. Send me an email. I'll see if I get you back on my schedule. Oh, okay, okay. Hold on. Uh, it was Jack Brown's. Oh, yeah. Beer and burger joint. Yeah. Okay. But here's the issue with National. Here's my, here's my thing. The, the issue, there, you got to pay for parking everywhere.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Yeah, that is. That is an issue. That is an issue. I spent $15 on parking and my burger and fries worth $13. I paid more for parking than I went to go to eat. The burger was small, not a rip on no free shadow. No, they're a little, they're a little small. Good quality. They are. Like mine had peanut butter in it. I didn't even realize that, you know, but why am I paying for parking that's more than the meal? You got to know where to park because there is free parking over there. But it's small. It's like, oh, it's a little. Everything small.
Starting point is 01:00:19 They were probably in Germantown. It's, yeah. It was that small lot. I love the restaurant. I love the vibes. Oh, yeah. I love the vibes, but we got to work on this Nashville. First question, Jack.
Starting point is 01:00:32 All right. You're the final intern. We got six questions for you. We need to answer them openly and honestly. Okay. First question. If you had to take a bullet for Will or Taylor, who are you choosing and why not the other?
Starting point is 01:00:46 I would say Taylor, I think, okay, I called in my interview, and I don't think Will isn't that big. Like, I think Taylor, you got to, like Taylor, there's more, the bullet could do more damage to Taylor than to Will. I think Will, you know, he's, like, or you got to protect Taylor, but Will, the reason I'm not protecting him is because he's just shorter. You know, he's...
Starting point is 01:01:09 I'm not a height of premises. The big bodies have got to be protected in this. That's fine. The bullet would do more damage to the bigger purpose. Well, when you put it like that, you know, I could see where the reasoning is a little wrong. But, you know, Will, I would love to protect Will, but me and Taylor, and it's also me and Taylor have a stash or tall. There's more than just height. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:39 There's facial hair. I love Will. Like, it's tough. It's tough. It's tough. All right. Second question. You have to slap someone in sports media, either past or present.
Starting point is 01:01:53 Who are you choosing and why? Ooh. Zui Mama. Okay. Here we go. I would say, oh, I don't, I'm trying to think, you can't hit a girl. So that you got to take that takes it out. You know, that's a goner.
Starting point is 01:02:09 um oh slap someone in sports media no i think if you slap paul fine bomb he's gone you know there's a but i will say he does have a runway i wouldn't slap paul fine bomb if you were to slap someone i want it slap paul fine bomb in the face he'd slap him like right top of the head top head on the ball it's like a button yeah yeah he's i feel honestly that's probably what they do at c cc network i don't think paul fine bomb is that crazy or anything i think they just have a button and it's like the Paul Feinbaum button. And he goes. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:40 SEC. SEC. And I'm an SEC guy. I'm from Texas A&M. Right. You know, that's Paul Feinbaum. Now, you know what? I wouldn't slap anyone.
Starting point is 01:02:52 You know, is that, is that? That's gross. That's A&M. That's A&M. You know, I wouldn't slap anyone. Everyone has a right to their own. What about Brandon Walker? Ooh.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Okay. Well, Brandon Walker. Brandon Walker does rock with A&M though because he works with like Casey Smith. is from A&M. So he rocks with A&M. You smack Casey Smith? No, you can't hit a girl. I've met Casey Smith.
Starting point is 01:03:13 I'm not saying on the face. No. Well, where else would you? I don't know. It's a question three. Smack is very aggressive. All right,
Starting point is 01:03:21 we're going to move on to question three. I think I think we're good on this one. I think you've, I'll do Paul Feinbonne on the weekdays. No one on the weekend. Yeah. Well, yeah, we'll give him.
Starting point is 01:03:32 I'll, if I had to slap Paul Fine Mom, I've scheduled out for like Wednesday at at touchdown down. 4 p.m. All right. Beautiful. All right. Of the people
Starting point is 01:03:40 who work full time here at the shop, would you snitch on any of them if it meant tomorrow you got a full-time job from Willard Taylor. Nah.
Starting point is 01:03:49 I wouldn't, I wouldn't snitch on anyone. That doesn't seem fair. Everyone's worked here to get here, you know? Hell yeah. I want it, I want it slap anyone.
Starting point is 01:03:58 That's, or slap. I wouldn't snitch. That's real. That's real. You know, snitches end up and ditching.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Right. Here we go. We're halfway to the questions. We're on question four. We're going to have you start with Derek, but go around the room and describe each guy in here with one word.
Starting point is 01:04:16 That may be tough. Huh. We'll go. We'll go JP. Did I go the wrong way? He said, we'll start with Derek. He said,
Starting point is 01:04:33 I'm a left to do with being a left team. We said, start with Derek. and go around the left. He's crazy. Well, he was on my left. There's no creative freedom. It's not right.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Left or right, man. All right. I start with JP. Yeah, that's fine. No, we're starting with Derek. I got to abide what y'all are saying. Yeah. I got to, if I'm going to be working around here, I got to listen.
Starting point is 01:04:57 True. Respect. Respect. Respect. Derek. Ooh, can I give an animal? Like, compare each one word. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:06 That's a Derek. That's a Derek. man oh no not a hippo I would say I'm confused why you asked that question that you aren't prepared to answer the question you ask Taylor LeWon
Starting point is 01:05:18 What time is your meeting the club? Okay It was it was 330 and they happened to call me it at 328 and I couldn't find clump to tell him and say that hey clump and I don't have I'm going to the inside the bus
Starting point is 01:05:32 It's 350 I know it's 350 this is this is my bad I should have I maybe should have texted him you know what I fucking hate about this guy how likable he is if it makes you feel better one of our questions is
Starting point is 01:05:48 who would you take a bullet for you or will and you've done very well in that question across the board he chose you because of height supremacy he said will's a smaller target you're you have too much to protect and the mustache so I rock with it yeah dude fuck me
Starting point is 01:06:07 he's a clump am I right yeah who needs that meeting dude that was dumb can you need you a water coffee no no no I'm I'm good like I my favorite drink is actually
Starting point is 01:06:20 cucumber lime gatorade it's it's that is a horrible no it's not it is not a horrible answer all the gatorades that's the worst one no no no no I okay I stand by this
Starting point is 01:06:31 I tried it once I was at a golf tournament because I used my height and gifted athletic ability to play golf. And I drank cucumber lime gatorade. That was a paid to play tournament. What? That was a paid to play tournament. What?
Starting point is 01:06:45 I started drinking at senior year of high school. My scoring average dropped from an 89 to a 79. Dang. Stroke. Is that good? Yeah. He's in the 70s. That's awesome.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Unbelievable good. Yeah. Like cucumber or gator rate is good. It is good. What's your, you know, no free shoutouts. all that stuff. But, you know. And he said you're not a hippo.
Starting point is 01:07:11 I, yeah. What's your question? What's your drink a choice? Like, what's your energy drink? Like, I don't know. Energy drink would be form energy. Form energy. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 01:07:22 For the, the Gatorade flavors, let's say that. Dude, I, I liked all the ice flavors. The ice purple is a big one for me. But that white cherry, I think. think was fire. I was a big white cherry guy. I never had that. Something about a warm summer day, pretty dehydrated. Orange on ice was an orange on ice is nice. Yeah, yeah, but I'm not a, I'm not a Gatorade guy. I'm not a big Gatorade guy at all. Okay. It was really just water and form. No, that's fair. And electrolytes. I'm going to work that here real quick. You know what?
Starting point is 01:07:55 You know what? Screw cucumber lime. Form energy. That's the only one you need. You don't need anything else. You don't need anything else. That was my bad for interrupt you guys. No, you're good. You did. You crushed. So one word for Derek. Derek. Derek will go with, oh, hold on, hold on, hold on. Ocelot.
Starting point is 01:08:21 Oh, okay. You know, he's quick. He's sneaky, but he's quick with it. I've seen him with the socials before. There you go. There you go. I like that. I like the reasoning.
Starting point is 01:08:31 I like how you related it. The Oscelot. I like how you said that. What? Like it's, what do you? I'm not, I think they have an
Starting point is 01:08:39 Osolat at the National Zoo. Ooh, like a nature documentary, Derek the Osolot out here on For the Dads. I can't do the mortgage. Are we all getting an animal or is it just Derek? No, we'll go, we'll go animals across the board.
Starting point is 01:08:50 All right, Jack's turn. You're at your interview. Jack strikes me as a female lion. You know. Hunter. Yeah. They hunt for the pride. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:09:01 I'll take that all day. And I rock. You know, I just rock with it you know I think female lion is what I'd give you were you looking for mustache I was like everyone I actually was like everyone
Starting point is 01:09:14 everyone's got a mustache and then I looked over I was like oh I can't say that anymore but I had a mustache like I loved mustaches growing up like if you ask my my Cub Scout din leader
Starting point is 01:09:28 I had a mustache wallet they're going to say you had a mustache and Cub Scouts. No, no. He used my really muster. He does look like that.
Starting point is 01:09:38 I had a unibra on Cub Scouts. Okay. That's that was, that's how I'm built tough. That's like how I am. You know, unibros make people tough. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Oh, Mitch. Hmm. This is very interesting. Okay. Doesn't sound good. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:09:58 This doesn't know. He doesn't. He doesn't. Very interesting. Who? Iguana. EGwata. you blend in.
Starting point is 01:10:05 And lookie, that's gone too. You blend it. Now, however, however, no, it's chameleons that get cold.
Starting point is 01:10:12 No, is it guanas? Like when Florida drops below 40 degrees, they kind of like freeze up. They get paralyzed. But you don't strike me as someone that gets paralyzed
Starting point is 01:10:20 when times get tough. There you go. Okay. You're one of the, you're one of the good iguanas. Because you kind of blend into your environment. I'll take that. One of the good ones.
Starting point is 01:10:30 Yeah, that's a good one. Yeah What? You said he had one of it doesn't change color and heat This is true Whewo! Camelian! Camelian!
Starting point is 01:10:43 Okay. Camelian. My bad. That's fine. I used to watch a lot of the nature shows. I haven't been in a minute. I've been scrolling too much these days. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:55 Okay. No mustache. That's okay. That's what I was scared of. You know, can you take the hat off I could rock with a giraffe
Starting point is 01:11:10 you know you're not Hyde supremacy let's go I know some people just need an extra boost and I think the giraffe you would be a good giraffe I'm just thinking you would be you'd be a humble giraffe
Starting point is 01:11:23 I love drafts so I'll take that yeah I can see the hair you know what's the hair on the back of the giraffe's neck The main kind of The main I I listen listen
Starting point is 01:11:34 I've been scrolling too much lately. I'll take draft. Draft's good. Draft's good. J.P. Now, J.P. is one of the two bosses in the internship program. It's him and Jared. So, yeah, I just had a shot that out.
Starting point is 01:11:58 JP. We don't do one-on-ones together, though. No, we don't. Yeah, you kind of lucked out on that. I'm trying to think. JP is a, ooh, Bobcat. Okay, shout out to the Charlotte Bobcats.
Starting point is 01:12:20 Yeah, ooh, we have a Charlotte Bobcats. Oh, wait, they were. We used to. They were before the Hornets. Yeah. Back in the day. Back in the day. All right.
Starting point is 01:12:29 We got one final question. Maybe if this is the question I'm thinking of, we could be in for a street here. Yeah. Yeah, we could. Yeah, I think, yeah. Chris, are you familiar with Waffle House? The restaurant?
Starting point is 01:12:42 Yeah. Yeah. Has you been to Waffle House before? Uh-huh. Okay, so you're walking to Waffle House at 2 a.m. What song is playing on the jukebox as you walk in the establishment? You get to choose. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:12:53 Now, this depends on the Waffle House. Okay, so we've got a few criteria for this. No, it's just your song that you want to be playing. No, but where am I coming from? Am I just leaving my house to go to Waffle House? It's like an entrance song. night two am you and your boys you need to pick your walkout song are we leaving from because me and my friends after we leave a Dallas stars game we go to Waffle House like those stars are yeah
Starting point is 01:13:14 so it's that the environment that's the environment okay one song well I know if they win this has been my song lately lip gloss by little mama what you know about me what you know about me my lip gloss is cool my lip gloss is popping I just know that line when I was traveling back. You had that next line ready. Well, okay. All the boys at school. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:42 I honestly, I'm the worst with lyrics. Genuinely, I thought Sweet Caroline was sweet paradise till junior year of high school. Sweet paradise. Bum, bum, bum,
Starting point is 01:13:51 some things never feel so good. Because I thought you're talking about paradise like going on vacation. I could see it. And then I learned that it was sweet Caroline. And I've said it before at arenas. And nobody stopped you. No one.
Starting point is 01:14:05 Because everyone's yelling it at the same time. I've never been on ox. No one ever puts me on ox these days. But I know why. But it's just disappointing. That was a good answer. Lib gloss is a great.
Starting point is 01:14:22 Lib gloss. Lib gloss place. Can I tell you something else? I had before my gift. So I brought the gift on the bustle with the boys. I actually had a different gift that I didn't bring. What was the gift on bus?
Starting point is 01:14:35 from the boards. I didn't. It was the crescentials. Okay. It was a little horse. It was a little horse with the acronym of Chris. Got you. Now, I wasn't anticipating on bringing the horse. It was kind of a last minute deal. I didn't forget about the gift, but it had been weighing on me. This gift is important. I was going to do a rap. Yeah. On the bus. But I got talked out of it by a lot of people and I was there, you know, there was a big wrist there. Right. It was either very high upside or
Starting point is 01:15:04 very like the downside and I had a I had a rat piece of advice cut those people out of your life not right not ready to go but what if it was his mom no it was everyone my parents my parents they they my parents were very supportive of it but in the back of their brains and the back of my boss and my friends were in they there was two things they can't my family was like we cannot have the first permetti to make it in the media world just do a rap now do you have to do it. I know you have it memorized. Also, well, I don't have it exactly.
Starting point is 01:15:40 I kind of quit it, but I know what I was going to do. I can do it. And then also, you know, I can't represent A&M and people were worried about the rap. And I failed at that because I was sitting on the couch and I had the boot, the pants tucked into my boots. I didn't have it like that. It's just I got off off the couch and I was walking towards it and I didn't realize they went into my boots and then I got roasted for it.
Starting point is 01:16:04 Let's hear the rap. Okay. I feel like that's what I was going. Can I get a beat? Like, poop pooch. My name is Chris. Yeah, that's my name.
Starting point is 01:16:16 I'm here on the bus doing my thing. I ain't got, oh wait, shoot. Hold on, hold on. Hold on. We got it again.
Starting point is 01:16:22 No, no, no. It was okay. My name is Chris. Yeah, that's my name. I'm here on the bus doing my thing. Now here is Will and Taylor at the trailer.
Starting point is 01:16:30 Not the trailer. I didn't have. Okay. I had, I had the rap. Let me tell you. the rap would have been better because I had I was gonna I was gonna I was gonna I had segues there like I brought a gift but it ain't no thrift okay and then I had lines I didn't have the exact rap that's kind of why I think it got cut at the end of the
Starting point is 01:16:52 internship you perform this rap yeah I could do a rap it's been weighing on me and the rest of y'all are backup dancers well I don't know if they I don't know if they'd be down that's true but I had the I had the rap going but I had some segways in there like like an intermediate like I was I was going to do the intro and like I was going to have the bus dude we busing yeah yeah we busing yeah and then it goes again my name is Chris yeah that's my name I'm hearing the bus without no shame I rehearsed this in the shower a lot yeah the segue materials I didn't get that's why I didn't have the rap memorized you got all summer now to get it dialed in for that last episode July 31st yeah is this so whatever the last day is interesting
Starting point is 01:17:34 I said I have to go on the bus and do a rap. Yeah. Right. I'll do a wrap. I'll do a wrap. All right. I'll do a wrap. But that's, that was my original gift idea.
Starting point is 01:17:45 Or I was going to bring like a horseshoe. I was still going to talk about a questioning, but I was going to bring a horseshoe or not the, I was going to do the horseshoe and the rap. But I had to pivot because I'm like, okay, okay, everyone's talking to me out of it. So I'll do the crescentials. Everyone knows the crescentials. Yeah, I think you crushed it. So, yeah, it was good. Hey, solid, solid interview.
Starting point is 01:18:05 You killed it. All the guys killed it. I feel like there's no better person to sign us off from this episode than Chris himself. Yeah. If you want to sign us out on episode 50 and however rap, spoken word. I'm not a dancer, though. I can two-step and line step a little, but I'm not a dancer, but sign us out, brother. Do what you got to do?
Starting point is 01:18:29 Inside the bus. Do I look at a camera? Yeah, that's right. Inside the bus. It's been a pleasure working with everyone these first. Is this my second day or third day?
Starting point is 01:18:40 Oh, okay. On the third day, he rose again. And on the third day, we end this podcast to rise again another day. Thanks and gigam. Pass and back.
Starting point is 01:18:54 All right. Perfect. All right. Let's go. There you go. Hey, well done. Well done, sir.
