Let's have a show.
This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We get to ask other people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down.
Orsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man.
They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew.
Pinky has financial issues.
On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real House Wise franchise.
The drama, the alliances, and the T everybody's talking about.
To hear this and more, listen to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
The story I've told myself can then shape my behavior, and that can lead me to sabotage the possibility of connection.

Boys, let's get started, Clay.
I'm glad we were able to give you a little education on gambling 101.
Yes, thank you.
But you shouldn't feel too alone a couple years ago.
When we started the gambling thing, slips and picks 500,
it was my first year gambling as well.
So I was kind of playing the catch-up game as well.
It's confusing.
Because you get in Delaney.
Delaney, we're very new.
Will already had bet the
us going on. And so all these guys kind of understood. And I'm like now like hosting a show
and I'm like sitting there being like yeah, minus this, minus that. Like you get a little confused
about those things. And then you think to yourself too like, okay, if you're taking them to
win by or to cover minus three and a half, it's like, why not just take a money like like, why can
we just pick the games to win? Which is then as you learn you get in there, you put like a hundred
on something that might be like minus 300 odds. You're like, I'm not really making a whole lot
money. But if you move that line or you take them to cover, you're like, okay, this feels a little
exhilarating. I see what's happening here.
Yeah.
Yeah. But hey, we know the beginning of the show belongs to one man and one man only.
Clay, what he got for us?
Yeah. What did you bring this week?
Entertain us.
Like, I honestly was worried you would do this.
Glue guy.
Locker room guy. Last week people, a lot of people were saying maybe Wilcompton isn't the locker
room guy at us.
Maybe it is Clay.
What's you going to bring on week three?
What's it going to do?
What's you to do?
Man, just my presence alone.
I thought that was enough for you, boys.
but I'm just like the gag guy now, like the funny guy.
Ha ha, we bring here for like comedic.
What you did is you make the mistake all men do.
Like if they go on the first date, you take them to a nice steakhouse and all this
things and set the bar high.
So now we're expecting it.
You got us a nice purse the first week.
All right.
Hey, I'll bring something for next week, okay?
Something for the boys.
So you don't got nothing this week.
I don't have anything.
So the viewers now are watching the show who showed up for Clay Matthews.
They should probably just leave.
For the beginning of the show.
They love the beginning of the show.
You used them all, bro.
You took them all, be?
But I mean, but I'm,
But I'm in the, I mean, we will be bringing some of the
contract here in the mall.
Contract talks to, you know, be the official spokesman for ammonia capsule smelling salts.
Wow.
They reached out.
They reached out.
We used the rest of them on the stream.
Oh, yeah, we did.
Thursday night.
Then we had a couple more for Saturday.
Yeah, we did.
We don't have any more salts?
No.
We ran out.
We ran out.
We bust them down.
The box back there has a 10 pack.
It was a 10 pack.
We had to keep that because I want to take that to New York.
Well, it may just be two left then because we put, what, four.
We could get some more.
Thursday night.
We could get some more.
Clay knows a guy who has a guy who is with a guy.
But yeah.
For all you guys out there going on your first date, don't do what Clay did.
Take him to Sonic, pulling that drive-through.
I'm sorry.
Set the key to happiness, is low-expectation set that bar pretty fast.
Bears' lions.
You guys want to talk about it?
Oh, man.
Let's do it.
We can talk about Bears' Lions.
I'm honestly, I'm disappointed that I'm not looking at an undefeated week because the damn Ravens, bro.
Yeah, the Ravens.
Man.
They dominated that.
game Josh Allen's a superhero.
They dominated that everything about the game
except for the box score. And no point
in that game do you watch it and you think, those are in it.
Yeah. But then Josh Allen just went
and do Josh Allen things. And then Bill's Mafia did Bill's
mafia things, tagging us, saying
you good, Taylor Luan? Oh, yeah.
Like, I picked him to win the Super Bowl and now they put me
on their Instagram, which I deserve, by the way.
Like, I went there and said Josh Allen,
they got the squad. This is the year they get over the hump.
And then week one, I start philandering
around. They catch me in a bed with another
woman for a second. I'm like, yeah, I got
Not red-handed.
And it's just crazy.
Like Derek Henry, over 100 rushing yards in the first half.
The defense, Kyle Hamilton, that safety, he's all world.
Jesus.
He's incredible.
He came with his feet and it's just.
How many?
What was the score of the game was of 40 to 30?
41 to 40, right?
Yeah, 41.
And the Ravens' offense had 51 total plays on offense and they scored 40 points.
I know.
Wow.
Crazy.
Every time they touched it.
Whatever they scored.
Yeah.
Roster.
No, it's 40.
It's 40 points.
Every single time.
They have a better ball roster.
They'll see each other again.
Yeah.
See each other again.
They definitely gonna see each other again.
Do you guys know who Stavros is, the comedian?
Love him.
Love him.
Did you see his one about the ratings?
Oh, yeah.
He had this whole thing, but maybe Derek Kendry's washed up.
I'm looking for a quarterback like Scataboo or CMC just off the top of the head.
Wow.
He is hilarious, bro.
He's hilarious.
Shout out to us.
But how are we feeling?

We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news. We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just
contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast.
podcast where people could call in and say, Hey Jonas, and then I wrote down on my little
notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Hey, I'm Jared Adano. You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet.
Help! Somebody! Please!
But there's so much more to me than that. I'm an actor. I'm a comedian. And recently
I've become quite the helper myself.
And on my new podcast,

Hey, cream, cream and chicken suit.

Delaney about Lions Bears, Bears are underdogs five and a half.
That means if the Lions win by four, the Bears cover for anybody who's listening on the show.
Which is crazy just to see how to line.
Lions performed last week that their favorite against the Bears and seeing how the Bears
went in, you had Caleb Williams go.
I mean, he looked at good for his day, another starting the season off with the Bears.
Hearing what Taylor had to say about the news, them not getting along, not jelling.
I felt like they jell pretty well.
He put points on the board.
He moved the ball.
That defense was exciting.
Obviously, they didn't get the job done.
JJ made some great plays at the end with his feet, getting the ball in the end zone.
but I'm going to have to go with the Bears.
I feel like the Bears is an exciting team this year.
I don't know what the Lions are going to do.
Obviously, they're going to make some changes,
but that offensive coordinator, who is he?
What is he doing?
Those boys couldn't move the ball, couldn't do nothing well.
So I'm taking the Bears, man.
I feel like Caleb is going to get this game done.
I wish I could, like, watch these games with you
and understand what Kool-Aid you're drinking
and what you're seeing for this Bears' offense,
jelling.
outside of the first drive
I mean the rest of the game
was a snooze fast
they were yelling
he started 10 for 10 for 51 yards
and it's like that is your scripted plays
that you go over at nausea
and you won't
Thursday through Sunday
and third quarter you get to pick six
like the game
they're jelling that game should be over
they should have won that game
they should have won the game
you start 10 for 10 for 51 yards
you're like oh Caleb Williams
he's seeing the field
he's understanding he's going through his progressions
but then you finally get off the script
and he goes eight for 21 after that
I mean he moving a ball
he got the end zone
he hadn't. Then he hadn't had a rushing touchdown
all last year, finally getting it. He's
feeling comfortable. That wasn't the first time.
I'm telling him he feeling comfortable. Just
watch and see. Ben Johnson's face
didn't seem like he was feeling comfortable in that press conference
after the game. Yeah, because they lost the game.
They lost the game. They had in
hand. The defense lost that game for them.
Have you ever heard of the
1865 novel,
Tale 2 Cities, written by Charles Dickerson?
I mean, I may have heard it, but I definitely didn't read it.
This is a cheers reference for some of you old heads out there.
The first line in the whole book is the best of times is the worst of times.
That's exactly what it was for the Chicago Bears in that game.
They had J.G. McCarthy in a fucking blender.
He was non-existent.
He seemed overwhelmed.
He seemed like the moment was too big for him.
And then the haters and the doubts, like he's got the intangibles.
He's a born winner.
He, you know, look what he did at Michigan.
He didn't have to throw it because they had a good run game.
And if he doesn't have a good run, they were all over his ass.
Then he throws a pick six.
And you can tell Kevin O'Connell's a little uncomfortable about him because they ran the ball.
two times in a row after that in the next drive.
Then all of a sudden,
J.G. McCarthy wakes up,
and he's showing that, okay,
Kevin O'Connell's a hell of a coach.
You see it situationally with that two-minute,
with two minutes and three seconds left from the clock,
running it out of the end zone on the kick-up return.
You see it with him when you could have got a first-year starter
and been like, hey, let's get him out, let's preserve them,
let's save some of this confidence.
Let's get somebody else in there to help him out.
Kid lit up.
If I am the Chicago Bears,
that was a demoralizing loss.
That's a loss that's like,
maybe Ben Johnson is the leader of men that people claimed he isn't.
Maybe Caleb Williams is more focused on the nail polished
than he is actually what's going on in the game plan.
The defense looks nice, but like if you're in Minnesota, you're like,
oh, Kevin O'Connell is one of the best coaches in the NFL for a reason.
They're going to be okay.
Their defense is nasty, and it seems like JJ,
if he continues where he left off in that fourth quarter,
you can roll.
You will see.
We'll talk about the Vikings when we get to the Vikings.
Like, I got the Lions beating the best.
theirs right here. I think it is a demoralizing loss. I look at the Lions, though, their loss
as nothing more, I look at this game as a get back on track game, but I look at their loss as
nothing more than a tough loss against a tough divisional opponent on the road. This might be
silly to say, but I think the Packers had more to play for in this game, hearing about their
one and five divisional record, you know, having a home game to open up the season.
What are they going to do with Parsons? The mic, the mic, the mic, a trade, and you hear the pop of
the crowd. It wasn't like that since 52 was running out there back at 8.
So like I put nothing more into it.
What I do have a little concern about is their offensive line play.
I mean, that is what Dan Campbell has, the lions have taken so much pride in, blue collar,
their offensive line, dominating the line of scrimmage, Jemir Gibbs, just, you know,
running the ball.
And it looks like they had 44 yards on 20 carries between David Montgomery and Gibbs.
Like that's tough.
And then golf looked uncomfortable in the pocket.
He looked really uncomfortable.
I think that's more a testament to Ragnow retiring, Glasgow moving in.
I know they got like a second rounder.
He was losing the side.
Yeah, you have a rookie and a first time start at both guards.
One guard moves to stand.
But I know some people say, hey, they're looking for their identity and whatnot.
Golf was still efficient.
I know a lot of them were checked downs.
He didn't have that touchdown until the very end on that amazing, you know, throwing catch.
But ultimately, I believe in Dan Campbell here.
I believe they go home.
They get this one against the Bears.
I mean, I think the bears are going to start the season 0 and 2.
I think it's hard to come back with all the momentum they had leading into week one with that terrible loss.
I think they're going to start the season 0 and 2.
Lions jump back to 1-1.
I'm with you.
I got Lions minus 5 and a half.
I feel like they just played a very good football team in Green Bay.
And even you were talking about the offense, the lack of yardage, the lack of productivity or production between the two running backs.
But even on defense, like the backers look good, but not a whole lot of pass rush.
from your boy.
Aidan.
Aiden Hutchinson.
Not a whole lot of pass rush
on that side of the football.
I feel like they will get back on track
because the run defense is nice.
And I think they're going to swallow the bears,
especially at home in Detroit,
getting to go back home after being at Green Bay.
I feel like this is a GVOT game for Day Campbell.
So I got lions covering.
I'm going lions, mine and half as well.
I love the lion's thought process
and taking two guys internally
after your O.C. and your D.C.
Leave the last time.
And taking John Morton, the O.C.
And be like,
He understands he's been a part of that culture and what Ben Johnson like to run.
And then you run into the situation you get with the three interior office alignment.
I think Graham Glasgow obviously is a teammate of mine at University of Michigan.
He goes from left guard into center.
You have a rookie starting at the left guard position, a new starter, and the right guard position.
You can see it on the film.
It takes a little bit of gel.
Anytime they ran games, they seemed a little loose, a lot of penetration up the middle,
which is causing Josh Allen to hit those checkdowns.
Jared Gough.
Sorry, yeah, what I say?
Jared Allen.
Josh Allen.
Josh Allen.
Josh Allen.
Josh Allen.
Yeah.
He said, yeah.
It's a super hand.
They're winning that game.
He said Jared.
Yeah.
So Jared Goff.
I just think that you go back to Detroit, you take a clean look in the mirror.
What worked, what didn't.
Okay, Jared, even though he's getting a tough situation,
high percentage-wise, he is getting your check-downs.
How do you establish the run game?
How do you minimize kind of different looks and stuff like that?
Make it simple for the guys in the middle.
Graham, he's a very vocal guy.
He's a guy similar to you, Will, where he's like always in his notebook,
always have, you know, he's got his notebooks from five years ago
to go back and look at the bears and same guys that are all.
on there. I like the Lions having a bounce back to this one minus five and a half.
And if you think about it too, like bears are going to have to run the football if they're
going to have any success. And are you taking the Bears running offense or the Packers running
offense? Like, turn on the tape with the Lions. Like they are nice in the run game. Those backers
are good between Barnes, Anzolone, and Campbell. Yeah. Campbell is nice, bro.
A white team guy. Yeah. Some white team guys out there flying around.
I mean, I just don't think the Bears will be able to do that. And then you've got to put the game in
the hands of Caleb Williams with if you're on Delaney side they're jellin they're moving right now
I don't I don't think to get out of them from last year what he's doing that's man that's
productive and then that defense they ain't going to be able to run the ball on that defense so we'll
see what happens I can't wait to revisit this and honestly you've said that about the Chargers
and fucking Chiefs game I want to do we talk about the Chargers that's later that's later
that's later yeah I think that was yeah one of my two losses last week would you have
that one in five.
Yeah.
I went one and five.
Fourth quarter losses.
I can't help that.
We'll go, let's go Jags Bengals.
Talk about Jags Bengals right now.
Jaguars are at Cincinnati.
Bengals are favored minus three and a half.
The over under on this game is 49 and a half.
Taylor.
Oh, okay.
All right.
Anybody, anybody, any of the boys.
Listen, I like to, I think the Jags, they look good.
I think their game plan going into week one was nice.
They did a good job of complimenting the run with the pass.
I love the jet sweep they took to that.
the house when they're in that like a gray area, fringe area, red zone spot.
Trevor Lawrence looks very comfortable.
Jordan Lewis is a corner, had a couple of nice snags.
They're doing a good job of turning over the football.
A big concern for a lot of people is Joe Burrow in week one.
I mean, 14 for 23, 113 yards and one touchdown.
It's essentially the same stat line against the Patriots to week one.
I mean, the offense does not do well.
The only difference between the Bengals last year is they ended up figuring out a way to get a win
on the road against the Browns.
Joe Burrow went 21 for 29, 164 yards last year.
Week two, he plays Kansas City, Spaggs his defense,
and he goes 23 for 36, 258, and two touchdowns.
Jags, I like where they're at.
I like Cone.
I like that.
Duval.
He seems like the quirkiness is kind of playing a little bit,
similar to McDaniels did in Miami early.
But I like the Bengals getting a 2-0 start in this game.
I got the Bengals as well.
I mean, when you base this off week one performance, the Jaguars look better than Sinci, like you had mentioned, the run game, 200 yards rushing.
ETN looking like his former self, 2022, 23 ETN.
It was fun watching Travis Hunter what they're going to do, getting him the ball.
I think, what, six receptions, didn't do much as far as 33 yards, but you can tell he's electric.
But Trevor Lawrence, you said he was getting comfortable.
I thought he was missing a few throws.
You look at his relationship with, was it Brian Thomas Jr.?
Bro, he had 1,300 yards last year with Matt Jones.
and when you put the stats of what he was able to do with Trevor Lawrence,
like I just don't see him clicking.
I think they had between the two with Brian Thomas Jr.
One reception for 11 yards.
Like, I don't know.
And the Bengals have a new defense this year.
They got a new defensive coordinator out with the old in with the two.
They held the Browns to, you know, around, let's see, 49 yards on 24 rush attempts.
Two interceptions.
Two interceptions.
The defense kind of won the game for.
It is the Browns, though.
Now, listen.
Trevor Lawrence was the least pressure.
quarterback in week one. Shamar Stewart, he showed what he's put of his potential in this first
game. Trey Hendrickson, I see there being a lot more pressure. I don't know ETS is going to have as
much success going up there to CINC. And you look at just getting back to the Bengals,
the Cleveland Browns notoriously play the Bengals tough. It's a divisional game. You can throw out
expectations, money lines, all that. But a win is a win. And those and Burroughs said it after the
game. Like those were the games they were not.
winning last year.
Right.
So they go on the road.
They get a tough, gritty win.
They did not play well by any means.
Should have lost that game.
You're right.
They should have lost that game.
But they're 1 in 0 and I think they get, and they make it 2-1-0 after this week.
I think they shut down the Jags running game.
They get pressure on Trevor Lawrence, make them uncomfortable.
And I think the star power, the firepower on offense, I think they get that passing attack going.
Do you think D?
I'm going Bengals as well on this game.
I mean, I'm following.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Give me the Jags.
The Jags.
I like the drag.
I like the three and a half.
I think the Jaguars, it's again, they're down in Jacksonville.
I think they're a team that won't be talked about.
But to me, they're like an under the radar AFC team.
Not saying they're going to be some powerhouse because they did.
They beat up on the Panthers.
We don't know if the Panthers are going to have another bad year.
But their line of scrimmage looks good.
Travis Hunter is going to get more involved.
I think Brian Thomas Jr. is going to get his touches.
I love Cohen working with Trevor Lawrence.
I thought when I'm watching the tape, I thought Trevor looked pretty comfortable.
A couple misses, but it's not like overthrows.
It's not like you got DJ Moore wide open going to score touchdown and Caleb just sails.
I like an ETIN, he was number two in the league of this past week in Russia.
And where they're not touching him, he's getting about three yards before he gets first contact.
And him even running through tackles.
I think Jaguars could be a team that's talked about eventually in the AFC.
If the Bengals win, I think it's going to be very close.
I like Jacksonville plus three and a half year.
I like the Jags.
It's a good argument because the defense,
the defense did win the game for the Bengals,
but like the two takeaways they had against Joe Flacco
were like receiver goes to catch the ball,
bounces off the shoulder.
It wasn't like, you know,
they're tricking and disguising into yard sale.
Like, Trevor Lawrence is going to have his opportunities
against Al Golden's defense.
He loves to run a lot of man.
You see it coming from Notre Dame.
So we'll see how comfortable he is
because when you run man,
it allows you to bring a lot of pressure.
But I mean, he was 19 for 31.
I like Joe Burrow week two.
Yeah.
And that's why I like that's, I like Joe Burrow steps.
Yeah, you look at the box scoring stat line for Jamar Higgins, Joe.
It's not, you know, it'll come at some point.
I'm hoping not this week since I'm taking the Jags.
I mean, yeah, he was 19 for 31.
You got a nice little thing up there sitting five and one.
And right, yeah.
And again, just watching, I watched the full Jags game.
And they look kind of smooth.
I mean, that delay, fuck me.
I had to get away with that hour delay they have.
was like, okay, did that play a part?
Because what was it, like 10, 3?
And then they went on an hour delay,
came back and just started spanking the fucking Panthers.
It's also just the Panthers of the Panthers, bro.
They don't get a whole lot of pressure.
They don't, they're kind of spotty on defense.
Bryce Young's good, then he's bad, that he's bench,
then he's back, then he's good.
It's like a whole weird thing.
It's a whole weird thing.
It's going to be a fun week to watch them.
Quick break.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some
big news. What's the news, name? Huge news.
We created our own podcast called...
Hey, Jonas. We invented.
it a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it. We're the first people

wide range of podcasts. We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name
Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly
don't remember. I think it was on a call about
what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally
calling it one of the
early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes. I have a very different memory.
this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say,
Hey Jonas, and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential
title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart

Work, back to the episode.
Buccaneers at Texans.
Texans are favored by two and a half, which is crazy.
Will, where you at on this one?
Buccaneers, Texans.
I like the Texans.
I like the Texans.
I love that defensive line.
They got Stingling.
The secondary is going to get going.
You got C.J. Gardner Johnson at safety.
They'll get jell and they struggled a little bit against the Rams.
That Stafford is unreal.
I was watching that game.
Stafford with pressure in his face is unreal.
Devante Adams had a couple drop balls too.
I know we're not talking about the Rams right now.
But Devante had a couple drop balls to where I think the Rams.
will be really nice this year.
The pressure of the Texas,
you won't see it blown up on the stats,
but as far as like beating defenders
and beating the offensive linemen,
they were number two to,
I believe, the Ravens all week long
as far as beating the offensive linemen.
Not going to show up on the stat sheet.
I think that defensive line is nice.
And if you're the bucks,
you're going to have to be able to run the ball with Bucky Irving.
I think Baker's going to be under a lot of pressure
as he, you know, as he's running around,
trying to make plays happen back there.
I like the Texans.
I think they'll get going on offense because they struggled a little bit last week.
I think the Rams defense is really good.
I like the Texans here at home to cover minus two and a half.
You know worried about the offense on the Texan side?
A little bit.
But again, there's a part of me like when we're going through the divisional picks that I'm like, you know, as we're, he was talking about Seattle.
I might have been saying like Niners, Cardinals we weren't really talking about.
But the Rams defensively, that young defense, them going into year two, like they made some plays last week to where I think that they're,
they're going to be a good defense.
So a little worried just because C.J. Stroud
kind of had that sophomore slump last year.
And will they get going?
Will Chub get going?
How much is a miss is mixing him being on the sideline?
But again, them at home against the Bucks.
I thought the Bucks were a little spoty last week against the Falcons.
I just, I like the Texas in this spot.
Yeah, if Koot makes that kick at the end of the game,
Falcons Bucks, like we're talking about a different result.
Right.
I love, I love a mecca and Bucca, though.
And I love Baker makes.
He's nice.
I love him sitting there in a two minute and being.
able to slice up the defense and make big X-plays down the field. I think a lot of times we look at
Baker Mayfield, we don't see a guy sitting in the pocket, making deliberate accurate those all
time. A lot of times it's making extending plays with his feet, waiting for coverage to break
down, and then being able to take advantage of the defense's mistakes. I love the energy of Baker
Mayfield. And I might be drinking the week one cool-aid of that singular drive and more looking
at the box score of the Texans Rams game that gets me to walk away a little bit. I am concerned
about the Houston Texans pressure, the ability
to, Will Anderson?
Is an absolute stud.
Yeah, Daniel Hunter.
Like, they got themselves a little squad.
It's tough to play in Houston early in the season when there's a lot of optimism.
Everybody in their mother thinks they're going to win the AAC South.
I'm going to take bucks plus two and a half here.
I think it's a very, very close game at the end.
And a lot of that is because of the connection between Mbuka and Baker-Raefield.
Yeah, I'm going to tell that too.
Just that connection with the rookie is crazy.
They still got veteran receivers that dating.
really he didn't connect with, which I feel like this week, they're going to be talking about that,
spreading that ball around.
But with the rookie making plays like that with Baker and the run game, I think I'm going to tell
with Taylor.
No Cohen calling the offense, though.
That is true.
Yeah, that's true.
That is fair and true.
I thought it was interesting that I'm taking the Texans as well.
I thought it was interesting rather than regurgitate everything you guys said.
The quotes coming from C.J. Stroud after the game, he talked about having a bad week of
practice.
So their defense, I love their defense.
They're fast and physical.
I mean, the Rams had no answers for them in the first half.
until, you know, Stafford and them hung around.
Pooka being a stud.
No, we're not talking about the Rams here.
But I see them obviously scoring more than nine points this week.
You know, they need Joe Mixing back.
I don't even know if he's going to show back up, you know, this season.
But they need to find a compliment to Nico Collins while Kirk is out right now.
But I got the Texans winning this game.
I think they refocus.
I think their defense continues to fly around the field.
I think the reason why Baker had so much success in this past game,
especially on that last drive.
It's just that underwhelming Falcons defense.
And this is completely different than the Falcons.
I don't think he's going to have anywhere near the time he had last way.
It was fun to watch.
And I think Baker should be mentioned in the same breath as Burrow and Allen when you look at numbers.
But I don't think this one's going to be close.
I got Texans.
Yeah, Baker top three quarterback.
Not top three.
I'm talking about numbers.
I'm talking about numbers.
We won numbers.
We won numbers.
No, I'm talking about, look at his last two years.
He's got three offensive coordinators.
He doesn't have Tristan Worf's out.
there Chris Godwin like oh he's making it happen yeah I'm just like now
there's still like a nutrition worse against his D line now there's still like a
nine 10 win team because they allow teams like the Falcons to to hang around but and
they're in the South they're in the South but this is I mean we still got them
winning the South I got them win in the South yeah yeah I like it also in this
game yeah I mean I'm the worst division NFC South it's pretty tough
should we go to Falcons at Vikings as a Sunday
Sunday night football right now Vikings are favored minus four and a half.
The over under on this game is 45 and a half.
Who wants to take a stab at this?
We talked about Jay.
I know.
You're a Michigan guy.
Talk about Jay McCarthy.
What you had touched on.
I already talked about when we started breaking down the Bears.
I'm going to take the Vikings.
I'm taking minus four and a half.
There's something about in Kevin O'Connell Week Trust.
And it's something that just gives me really rocked up is watching good situational football go down.
And then when you see the replay of that kickoff return with two minutes and three seconds left in the game.
And he's looking over at the silent.
to see Kevin O'Connell hitting one of these.
And then you see T.J. Hawkinson in the back being like, yeah, fuck it.
Let's get one of those going.
Doing that and then bringing the clock down to what was it, 15 seconds.
That situational ball is going to be imperative throughout the season as you're breaking
in this rookie quarterback.
I love J.G. McCarthy's first half because of how good he was in the fourth quarter.
I love the fact that he was able to sit, essentially, like, every Vikings person on Twitter,
every fan that says skull and does the upward clap before a game, sat there and go,
So, J.J. McCarthy is not the guy.
We lost him. We missed that pick at the 10th pick overall two years ago.
We're fucked. This team's over.
This is the Packers and the Lions. I think I think this division.
I think a big one is the Vikings defense is spicy.
And then JJ is going to take the success he had late in the game at the end of the game,
which is the most important part of the game.
And he's going to translate that into week two against, like you said,
an underwhelming Falcons defense.
So I got JJ cooking up a little bit.
I started to get concerned a little bit about Justin.
Jefferson when I'm seeing JJ in that game and I'm like is Justin Jefferson like he's a star
and he wants his yards he's got all the chains on like you want your receiver to be like that
and then all of a sudden you see JJ doing it and it's like you see the locker room after and
Kevin O'Connell goes we knew he'd figured it out eventually and throws him the ball and JJ's got
this fucking you know Leonardo DiCaprio from Wolf of Wall Street I'm not fucking leaving vibe about
him and it's it's something that I can buy into it's easy for me to buy into being a biased Michigan
guy, but I like the Vikings being a team you got to worry about.
I think that win changes the dynamic and changes the belief in that locker room like you
had said.
So I think they go into this one, going home, they got the skull chant, they got the horn blowing,
and Falcons coming off a devastating loss.
Yeah, give me the Vikings minus four and a half.
I do think it'll be a high-scoring affair, though.
I do think I was really impressed with Michael Pennix.
I thought he played great against the bucks.
I mean, all his outroutes were phenomenal.
able to make plays on his feet. Bejohn Robinson didn't do a great deal on the rush game,
but in the passing game, over 100 yards, had a touchdown. I'd like to see who Zach Robinson,
their OC, give him the ball more. I think he was third in 2024 and rush yards. But ultimately,
I think special teams is what let the Falcons down last week. But I just think the Vikings are going
to be too much for the Falcons this week. Got to keep an eye on Drake London as well.
He hurts. He's the shoulder. Is he playing? Is he not playing? I think he was limited participant.
He's questionable right now.
He's questionable right now.
But he was out like the last, like the two minute drive or whatever that the Falcons had.
He was not.
You know you say about life, life skin.
Day to day is what they say.
Light skin, man, softish.
Soft tish.
He got himself a little AC spring.
He got that little Risen Buddy on the side there.
You gotta get that Lidicane put in before the game.
Oh, yeah.
Tauta Korn.
Yeah, I think, I think Falcons are in good hands of pennies.
I think they got themselves a quarterback.
It's like, hey, can we put some pieces around him?
Because Bejohn.
It's bion.
He's nasty.
But you got to open up those.
open up those lanes a little bit in the run game like you've got to give in the ball and he can't
just be your entire offense it's really easy to take a one dimensional team and be like we take away
this guy we're putting ourselves in a position to win yeah they also got to get they tight in going to
at the falcons they want to be successful got to get they got him going a little bit more
they got him a little bit historically yeah huh i said pits has got going a little bit more yeah
compared to what you've seen from him historically yeah isn't pits running more of like a
a wide receiver kind of thing now.
Like he's not really,
apparently he was like running,
like practicing with the wide receivers during training camp.
Yeah.
They're definitely,
yeah,
he's just a lot.
Let's take this extremely athletic tied end
and make him a giant wide receiver.
Yeah,
he's more of a split guy.
Yeah,
they need to utilize him more.
They have to.
He does have,
he does have the raw talents.
Gotta give him the ball.
What are you going to?
No said,
Vikings,
obviously,
I'm going to take the Vikings here.
I just,
what JJ did,
you know,
I was one of those guys
sitting at home like,
damn, JJ may, he may not be it.
I feel sorry for Taylor.
You know, I'm literally thinking like that, like, fuck.
I was like, I was in your thoughts.
But, you know what I'm saying?
He's 22 years old, I'm 34.
Man, I feel bad for you.
I'm feeling bad for Taylor.
I just know people was going to rip you up in the comments, but he showed up, you know what I mean?
It was his first game playing in Chicago.
I was like, God damn, this is going to be tough for him.
But the guy, you know, like you said, he came back out.
He was relentless.
He finished the game.
And that's what you want to see from your.
young quarterback and I think he's going to be able to do it against the, the Falcons.
So I'm taking Vikings, four and a half.
I think I like the Falcons with the points.
I think if the Vikings win, it'll be a close game.
It's like, I'm sitting here, it's like, could we be getting too much in the high
drinking the Kool-Ave of the emotional win over potentially another
underwhelming Bears team?
Whereas, and then you look at the Falcons, if my man hits that field goal at the end,
Koo.
Coo, will we be talking about a different foul?
You lose a close game like that.
Obviously, it wears on you as a player.
You're itching to get out there.
You know, nobody's expecting you to win this game
because everybody got to watch J.J. McCarthy kind of come back
in that second half with the Vikings.
Could we be buying in a little too much with that?
Did the Falcons lose a very close game to a good Buccaneers team?
So I'm going to take the Falcons with the points plus four and a half
against going at Minnesota.
the road yeah you you say could we be drinking the Kool-aid a little much like hand up I think I am
right like I look and I kind of was too I was I was I was going Falcons before we started this
whole conversation I'm just sitting there I'm like yeah I was thinking Falcons are Vikings
Vikings as we started this conversation but it's like yeah penix looks good he do Robinson is a dog
hopefully Drake London is playing that's one thing you definitely want to keep an eye on if he's out
hopefully the line goes a little bit more the Falcons way but Drake Lennon and Kyle Pitts
they're getting him going a lot more defensively
Like, yeah, I guess that's, that'll depend.
That's your question wrong.
And the bear's defense, they got some studs over there.
Yeah, they do.
And the thing that worries you, like one play in particular that I was like,
this is before JJ had his big comeback.
Kevin Byard runs on the line of scrimmage.
And you hear, it's like, JJ's in his cadence.
And he goes, why did he?
And then he sees Kevin Byard.
No one in the offensive line says a word.
He doesn't say a word.
He comes off the edge.
They run the play, comes off the edge.
You get to TFL.
It's like, do they really know what they're doing?
over there. Are they communicating the way they should be? And I think that's one of those games
where Kevin gets to sit there because I do think Kevin is an outstanding leader. I think a franchise
in general, Minnesota is an extremely well-run franchise. Everybody talks about like how great
the ownership is from top to bottom. And I think Kevin gets those things figured out where he looks at
his office line, looks at your captain, your right tackle O'Neill and goes, listen, you need to be more
vocal on the line of scrimmage. Let's get a couple guys to help JJ with protection, take a little
off his plate so we can get him to do what we saw him do late in that fourth quarter.
because that was the first look I think I saw of them doing that rotation of Kevin coming down on the edge.
It's like they telegraphed it.
It wasn't like they hit it very much.
Like they brought the safety back over the middle.
They bought Kevin Byer down there.
And it's like you've got to at the very least say something.
And you're not too deep in the cadence where you like kind of have to be quiet for somebody to jump off sides.
And that was like really concerned.
Then the turnaround happens.
But yeah, dude, get me the Kool-Aid, dude, make it extra sweet.
I'm drinking it.
Real quick.
Two little nuggets for you.
So the Falcons, last five games is the underdog.
Not only have they not won, they have not covered.
Ooh.
And the Vikings, 10 wins, one loss in one score games over the last two seasons.
I may switch my bet.
Skoll.
To the falcons.
I may switch my bed after that.
To me, if Vikings win, it's going to be a close game.
I think that four and a half, I think that four and a half is that slot.
You feel if it was at like two and a half, three and a half, you would change it?
If it was at two and a half, I think I'd go.
Vikings.
You like that three point.
I love that third point.
The three point that two and a half is like, yeah.
If it's like Vikings are favored by three and a half, like I'm getting, you know, I'm spending
the money.
I'm getting the extra point to move it down to two and a half.
But with the four and a half sitting there, it's like any given Sunday.
And you know what?
I'm actually going to change my bed to the Falcons.
I know.
I know.
I don't know if I like that.
This is a rematch for the 2023 national championship too between Pennix and McCarthy.
Oh, we know how that turned out.
Yeah, do you think that plays any, like if that's in the back?
Maybe with them individually, maybe with pinnicks more than a dozen.
Yeah.
Jay J.J.
Not worried about that.
He ain't worried about that.
He already got the ride.
Cute-ass little baby face, bro.
And they call him leader of men.
I'm thinking that little face.
Yeah.
Well, we got to tighten the fuck up.
It's like, what you do you do it out of here?
But apparently, the whole team rallies around this kid.
And they're like, this is our fucking leader.
Embrace him.
I love seeing the excitement around him.
See on his chest.
I'm thinking, this dude's 12.
You saw how they reacted when they gave him the game ball.
Yeah, I love it.
I love Kevin O'Connell.
I fucking love Kevin O'Connell, dude.
I love him.
Monday night football.
Two teams coming off of big wins.
Chargers are at the Raiders.
Raiders just defeated the Patriots.
Chargers went down to Brazil and beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
Raiders are favored away at minus three.
Will.
Wait, hold on.
The Raiders are favored in this game.
Sorry.
Chargers are favorite.
I'm about the same.
You know, the brain.
I'm over here.
Raiders are dogs at home with three points.
I ain't fucking with the charges.
I don't know, man.
Slater's out, Max Crosby, licking his chops.
I like the Raiders.
I can't fully tell you why outside of Chip Kelly's offense
is going to continue to develop and get better with Gino Smith.
They have some protection issues.
They got to do a better job around the football with Ashen Gentie.
Like me, I'm like, I'm betting that those things will happen going from week one,
watching the tape, watching how messy it can be, but Gino can sling it.
I like him in that offense with Chip Kelly.
Is Bowers, where's he at?
He had a little knees-key.
I know he had a little knees-key.
He's going to play, though.
He's going to play, right?
He's going to play.
He's going to go back at the game, and they told him now.
He's going to play.
He's a bone out of the skin.
He's playing.
He's playing, Mitch?
I think he's playing.
He's playing for sure.
I like the Raiders.
Crosby, just getting Devin White.
man over that
Chargers defense though
I know
I know
trust me this is a tough one
yeah
but I'm gonna give me the Raiders
and this is like a fucking battle
Raiders and the fucking Chargers
hate each other
traditional
game is like close
this gonna be a tough one
man I give me the Raiders
I'm taking the Chargers here
yeah but I am impressed
with the Raiders
complimentary football
offense defense special teams
you saw this Patriots game
against the Patriots, like, they won their third downs.
They won their red zone.
I'm thinking this is going to be, you know, how Pete ran Marshaw.
And they couldn't, I mean, you know, you got to tip your cap to the Patriots in their run game.
Yeah.
But this was, Gino Smith, on the road, rainy conditions, 362 yards, 70% efficiency.
Like, I didn't see that coming.
So I was so impressed with that.
They had an instant connection with Brock Bowers over 100 yards.
Man, Chip Kelly, I think Chip Kelly is the MVP.
He had some beautifully scheme passes.
Boys just coming wide open.
And too, they reload the formation a lot.
They're motioning and shifting everywhere.
I'm with you.
I think the Raiders win some divisional games this year.
I really do.
If at the end of the year, you tell me they beat the Broncos, the Chiefs, and the Chargers once,
like, I buy it, but it's not this week.
It's not as it.
I was right.
You're seeing it.
What the fuck is he saying?
I know, because I have to remind myself, oh, wait, he went Chargers.
Oh, wait, that's right.
Justin Herber, like, I don't apologize.
Like, Shaq did that one time.
Like, I just was not familiar with his game like that.
Like, him and Josh Allen just being able to put the ball wherever they want.
Whatever they want.
It was remarkable.
And then when I picked the Chiefs, I lost that game, you know, versus the Chargers,
and I was afraid of the Chargers offensive line.
Joe Alt looked great.
Possibly better.
Slater at that left tackle position.
I don't know if he's going to give it.
He played left tackle at Notre Dame.
Like he did not want to go to the Chargers
because he did not want to play right time.
He didn't want to play right.
He didn't want to play right.
I'm more so over the right tag.
You look good.
It don't matter.
He did jump back and forth a little bit.
He goes back and forth.
He's much more comfortable on the right.
On the right side.
Yeah.
Against Troy Pipkins Jr.
Yeah, the third.
He's a third generation.
No disrespect.
No disrespect.
But I thought he had, I thought he had a nice little game too.
He did.
Against the charges.
I mean, I think both off its lines for the most part,
played pretty well.
Max is a different animal.
It don't matter.
Max is a different animal.
There's no doubt.
But he's the only animal on that defense.
He's the only one on that.
That is the problem.
That's what concerns me.
He's the only guy.
I know.
It's a reach.
But I'm trying to get more juice for we do need more on that defensive side than Max
Krause because he is the only guy of pressure in the quarterback.
I think there's an internal struggle going on with the Raiders' offense that people might not be privy to because of the explosive plays they had on the offensive side of the ball.
Pete Carroll traditionally likes to be under center.
He likes to establish the run game in a big way.
And you have three offensive alignment in the middle of that Raiders offense.
That when you watch the film, you put a basic gap scheme stuff,
and the Patriots had to move the line a couple, move their defensive front a few times,
and really put them in a blender.
They started mixing in their run stunts.
They brought five guys.
And they weren't able to push that line of scrimmage.
And a lot of that is Aschengi missed a couple holes.
But a lot of it was the interior of that office line couldn't get movement and couldn't get solidified
in their double teams.
So now you got Gino Smith and Chip Kelly, who,
want to kind of be in that shotgun, hand the ball off from that way, utilize the play action,
but there's also four coaches on that coaching staff that are offensive line coaches.
To me, it might become one of those things where you see kind of a glaring issue that's
pointing in front of you in the middle of that interior office of line.
And there might be too many chefs in the kitchen of how they should fix those types of things.
Jesse Minter's defense on the Chargers, I think they play sound great defense.
They got Derwin James in the back in protecting them.
They got Khalil Mack, Bud DePree, T.R. T.R. T. T. T.
tier chart. Team eight of ours tiered like you play you say here you don't play three
snaps this game he'll be all world yeah like he's going to push the middle of that defense and get
the pocket condensed from the interior standpoint those guys around the edge or might have themselves
a little bit of a field day especially pressure on the left of tackle colton I like the charges
coming out in the game against the chiefs and everyone their mothers like they're going to hand
to hampton they're going to hand it to mr fourth of july himself nausea harris and they come out
they sling the ball.
They flip the script on everybody
and they use the chiefs offense
against the chiefs
and put spags in an absolute blender.
They look great all day long.
Johnson, TCU wide receiver,
he has himself two touchdowns.
They look good.
I'm feeling spicy about the chargers.
And I think there's some holes or cracks
in the foundation of that Raiders offense
that maybe didn't come out of the fold
because they were playing a lesser opponent,
a lesser talented team in the Patriots.
That's the issue.
The Patriots are going to have to be a team
that Rush Five
consistently to get pressure on the quarterback.
Harold Landry has two and a half sacks,
but hard fought sacks.
One of them was unblocked.
Like, he's a guy, but if only have one guy,
so he's yet, no guys.
Yeah, that's true.
I like the Chargers.
Shout out veteran receivers.
Someone had mentioned Keenan Allen last week.
Oh, he went in.
Like, that's just a nice name you throw in there.
Oh, targeted 10 times, what?
Seven reception, 68 yards, one touchdown.
How about DeAndre Hopkins for the Ravens?
Ah, yeah.
Three N-Dict band.
Yeah, for bills forever.
Ever, gives him the punch?
Shout out the vets out there.
Yeah, the vets went in.
Love seeing it.
I'm taking charges.
Y'all already know.
Jim Harbaal, that's my guy.
Love what he's doing with the chargers,
turning that whole system around.
Justin being a stud, top five.
Top five.
Maybe I'm not seeing the board at all.
Who knows?
Or maybe that five and one.
There's three games right now
where it's three to one.
The Raiders one is the one I'm like most uncomfortable about.
You always go with the Raiders.
I don't always go with the way.
People were concerned about Gentie and he did have like rookie mistakes.
Yeah.
But there weren't a lot of holes for him to clearly.
Like you saw when he got the ball, he didn't seem like the confidence you saw at Boise State, which will come with like repetition.
But there's a couple of like blocking errors with that office line that like, oh, you're not putting your rookie running back in a position to be successful right now.
And you can see it's kind of playing up here a little bit in his head.
He kind of guessing instead of knowing who to go to.
Yeah.
I mean, Chip Kelly is a stud.
I just think there might be a little.
at the top about how many times
there should be under center. Yeah. Now,
Pete brought this, he brought Chip in, right?
Brought Chip in. Brought Chip in from Ohio State.
I mean, Pete's been doing this for a long time.
Long time. I don't think he's going to,
I respect your opinion. I just don't think he's going to bring in
anybody who's not on the same page.
70 years old. They see the whole phrase. Can't teach you
to old dog, new tricks. Yeah, but they used to have battles,
you know, when I was at SC and Chip
was at Oregon. So, like, they got to be
sympathetic. I mean, sometimes
I feel like those coaches, when you
have a coach like Chip, you kind of got to let
him beat him. You know what I mean?
They'll discuss certain things,
but at the end of the day, I think he's like, here go to
Rains, ride this horse.
You know what I'm saying? And if I
ride this horse. If I feel like I got to talk
to you about something, he's going to talk
to him about it. That's, you know, that's Pete.
I mean, Chips had success in the NFL when he
was just focused on the offense. Yeah. The men
he started getting a little junk of power, start taking over the
rod. Oh, he started tripping. He started freaking out a little bit.
Start a little bit.
Cassidy wanted to play for him. They're like,
we try to get out of here.
Is that?

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast.
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to a podcast. We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with the name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should.
call it and well we were thinking
I'm originally calling
it one of the early
names of our band before Jonas
Brothers was
this is how you guys remember it going down
yes I have a very different memory of this
we were talking about a thing a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say hey Jonas
and then I wrote down on my little
notepad Hey Jonas and offered
it up as a potential title
for the podcast but thanks for remembering that
guys listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio

Somebody!
Please!
But there's so much more to me than me.
I'm an actor.
I'm a comedian.
And recently, I've become quite the helper myself.
And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite,
I'll be changing lives,

Back to this episode.
Go ahead.
Every Sunday's got games,
but only one fits just right.
This is True Classics.
Game of the Week brought to us by True Classic.
We got the Philadelphia Eagles at the Kansas City Chiefs.
Super Bowl rematch.
Eagles are favored right now.
Chiefs are dogs at home.
Eagles are favored minus one and a half.
The over under on this game is 40.
Six and a half.
That six and a half just fucking...
This is a must win for the Chiefs.
Yeah.
This a must win for the Chiefs.
The line changed.
Did it.
Yeah.
What's going?
What's going? What?
Oh, one and a half.
You said six and a half?
You mean one and a half?
One and a half.
Oh, my bad.
Maybe I missed it.
Oh, okay.
All I heard was that.
Yeah, I heard six and a half.
A bunch of football players.
They get a lot of heads sitting on the stage.
Wonder what numbers are.
Yeah.
Exactly.
I'm not seeing this urgency.
Yeah, I see the chiefs.
This is a must win for the Chiefs.
It's a must win that they are not going to win.
They are not going to win this day.
It's a must win that they are.
It's a must win that they will not win.
Of course.
And listen, you know I'm all in on the Chiefs.
I picked them in the Super Bowl.
I picked them to win week one.
But the Eagles, especially after week one, are the more complete team.
But I'm not like, let's forget it.
Are they going to be able to be disciplined enough to win this game?
You talk about what, 11 penalties?
Let's go see.
Yeah, spit gate going on.
He learned his lesson.
He's coming back.
God is fine, no suspension.
Coming back.
I'm just saying, we saw what happened in the Super Bowl.
I know it's a separate season, a lot of moving parts and whatnot, but Chiefs did a good job shutting down the run of the Eagles.
They opened up the past game.
Whereas you saw in week one, Dallas did a great job doing the same.
But Jalen Hertz kind of took it upon himself, efficient, ran two touchdowns.
I believe ran two.
Yeah, ran two in himself.
Seekwon had another one.
I look for them to air it out like they did in the Super Bowl
trying to establish that passing game if they can't get the run game going.
But I just think they're a more complete team from offensive line.
They are.
I worry about the pass rush from the Chiefs.
I thought the Chief's pass rush between Chris Jones and Carloptis
was going to eat against the Chargers.
And I was wrong.
And anytime they did get pressure, it was bringing tranquil or something like that.
But we put Herbert on the edge,
made some amazing plays with his feet.
I just don't see the Chiefs.
defense stacking up with Philly's offense. Now, I love Mahomes. I mean, he looks so impressive
in the second quarter, but really the second half of that game, the way he's able to get the ball
out so quick, I think he's the ultimate wild card. I wouldn't be surprised if the chiefs pulled out
it's going to be because of him, but I got the Eagles just being the more complete team.
I don't disagree. I know you don't disagree. Do you want to say, there's a big part of me
that's wanting to take the chiefs on this game, just because, again, over the last 35 years,
years of data. You want some Delaney data right now.
Let's give it. Teams that start 0 and 2, you have an 87.5% chance of not making the playoffs.
And if you look at the chief schedule.
I feel like that number would have been better if you did the lower. Go ahead.
How many teams make the playoffs?
If you start off, you start off 0.2.
87 and a half percent of not making the playoffs.
You start off 0 and 2, your chances of making the playoffs, an underwhelming 13.5 percent.
Yeah, it decreases.
12 and a half percent.
Decreases, yeah.
I think I can get me behind.
And you look at their next eight games.
The Chiefs are going to see the Ravens, the Commanders, the Bills, the Broncos, the Lions.
And you know I picked the Jags earlier, so don't sleep on the Jags.
They're also going to be seeing the Jags.
But if they don't win this game, they are not making the playoffs.
To me, this is a must win for the Chiefs.
I think they know that.
Their defense didn't show up very well last week.
But I love to see the veteran leadership going back and forth at the end of the game.
Trankwell trying to check Chris Jones.
They're kind of arguing a little bit.
They know they got to get right.
Spags, their team, their asses.
are tight. They have to get right this week and you know they got a bad taste in their mouth with how they just got ran out of the game at the Super Bowl. So I'm going to take the Chiefs. Wow. I'm going to take the Chiefs because this is a must-win situation. That makes me feel like all of our picks we made today that were against, we're all on the same page and Will is going to be right this week. On that one, on that pick, you switched almost all of my picks that we were three on one, which was most of the board. Because
For you to bend the knee to the chiefs, not bend in the knee,
because that sounds like I'm insulting.
I got them in a month's win.
I can't, I can't not have the chiefs like being the way off conversation.
I hope the chiefs win.
I think it's good for football.
I hope the chiefs win.
What makes it good for football?
Football is better when the chiefs are good.
Is that what you're saying?
What makes it?
And when the Swifties are on board, yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
And for people to hate it, you need the enemy alive and well.
They lose this game.
Chiefs are dead.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I had the Swifties come at me earlier.
They never ended up. Earlier this week.
Have never been.
Enemy of Mon.
You do?
Yeah, the Swifties, the Swifties came to get me.
Did you misspeak?
Tier Tart posted a photo and he said something, I'm sure it was from a rap song.
And I just posted like, you know, you slapped the shit out of Travis.
You posted that?
No, like, in Tier's comment.
Swifty comes because I knew they were coming for his head.
Saw my comment and they go, how dare you call him a friend, Travis a friend?
Like, how will you say this about him?
They don't like y'all.
I'm just thinking, this thing's got like three million impressions.
They don't like y'all anyway.
All the way.
So I'm a lot.
a little hesitant to go against the Chiefs,
but then I look at Jaylon Carter,
I look at Spickgate, I look at how the line was eight and a half.
And I started to think to myself, like,
the Cowboys did a good job of establishing the run in that game
and were like mostly protected in the past.
It's like, well, Jalen Carter could have been the reason
why that line, the Cowboys
and not curbing that eight and a half.
Jalen Carter's back.
I'm sure, you know, however, he wants to go about it
in his way in that locker room,
he knows the best way to make it up to his team
is to have a massive game.
Yeah.
We were teammates,
AJ Brown, he gets targeted three times.
I think he has like six yards receiving.
I don't know his exact stats, but for the most part, he was non-existent during the game.
And I know that Siriani knows exactly what we know.
And that's like, you need to get AJ the Brown early and often.
Let's turn him up a little bit.
That's going to be.
Cowboys did a great job, though, in the secondary.
Did a great job.
Did a great job.
Yeah, the Cowboys played really great.
Double and AJ.
They played good to where you can't just force it.
They got a little late and not spying, not spying Jalen hurts.
That's really all it came down to, Jaylon.
What he came down to was, yeah, he has one or two reads,
and then he's like, let me just make some of my feet real quick,
which I think Spaggers is going to do a much better job of.
But, like, the defense, incredible.
I think the only thing you look at after week one is Adory Jackson.
Like, are they going to come out of Dory Jackson a little more?
Yeah, definitely.
But do they have the pieces with Xavier Worthy being hurt to come at him?
No.
No.
He's a little long in the tooth.
They run zone.
He's going to find that little soft spot in the zone.
He's going to be able to get his catches.
If there's a break in the defense, like the charges show late in the game,
Travis Kelsey is going to have that catch and be able to have a 16th.
45-yard touchdown.
Hollywood Brown.
But they don't, yeah, Hollywood Brown.
Was it O'Sheed Rice?
He's out.
He's out.
He's suspended.
He's still suspended.
Yeah, he's still suspended.
So it's like, there's not a whole lot of options.
And Pacheco is hard as he runs.
Like, it's a, the run game is more of an appetizer for the Chiefs.
They want to win the game through the air.
And I just don't feel like with Xavier being out, I just feel like the chiefs have a lot
of backed up against them.
It's the perfect time to go Chiefs.
But I'm just going to take the better roster and the Super Bowl defending champions.
situation. I'm going to go to the Eagles. Yeah, I'm saying the Eagles. I just, I don't know if the
chiefs are going to be able to stop the Eagles. Like, like he said, we got to get A.J. Brown the
ball. We got to get Smith the ball. They didn't touch the ball really last week. I think that's
going to be a focus point. Putting the ball on the air, making our playbakers make plays.
Because you know what Jalen can do. Like I said, MVP this year. The man is going to control the game.
If he can't pass the ball, they can't run it. He going to put it in his hands and he's going
getting in the end zone. We saw them get in there twice. They was three for three in the red
zone. And that's what you want from a team. Once they get down in there in the money zone,
that's what we used to call it in getting that money. So, Eagles.
Just as an offensive line, and I do want to give a shout out to Josh Simmons, like that 30-second
overall pick from Ohio State. Kid looks nice. Oh, yeah. Kid looks nice. And that's all I want to say
about that. So, too, I just want to go out there, give flowers. Give flowers to a young buck
who's protecting the blind side for Patrick Mahomes.
I just think he did a great job standing up in Brazil week one.
He did good.
He had three off-sides, though.
He did pretty well, but he did have some off-side penalties.
Fall start.
When I'm watching a rookie play his first NFL game in a neutral site like Brazil,
every single person in that stadium is wearing a different jersey,
it's loud and obnoxious.
Like, I'm not so worried about the penalties.
I want to see, like, what's the products you put on the field when the penalties didn't happen?
I thought he did.
Yeah, did he give up?
He didn't give up a sack.
Did he? No, no, he did not. He looked, he looked kind of nicy.
It's a tough game for the Chiefs.
It is a tough game for the Chiefs.
I'm going to give them my support.
Yeah, no, I'll hear you.
It's a good move.
I like it.
It's a good move. I like it.
I just want the Swifties, no, I love Travis.
I'm not here to catch snowing.
I'm already caught the Bullets and from the bills and from the SWIFTies.
Like, I think some of, I can't do this.
I'm not as.
But honestly, do you think the Swifties love y'all, though.
I think some of the Swifties do, man.
I don't, I don't think so.
I think if the Swiffy's understood the relationship with Travis,
they would absolutely love us.
The ones that do, yeah, the ones that understand.
I mean, I saw a picture of y'all and the comments were just fucking brutal.
It can't be too focused on comments.
Oh, okay.
Can't be too focused on them.
It's the loud minority.
A lot of likes, though.
Because the ones who like it, they, they know, the minority.
The minority.
Did you mean by that?
The loud minority is the loudest.
No.
No.
No.
What did you talk about?
We're talking about the Swifty fan base.
You don't think it's black people with no black slip?
Yeah, I'm sure there's some in that.
That's the minority of the minority if we're talking about.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Those are, those, they're part of the beehive.
That's Beyonce.
Oh, that's, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, no, but I, no, I don't think they got the same crowd, though.
The Swifties are like kids.
I would say 25, watch, watch, watch, watch,
you're gonna kill our show.
No, they 25 and they're gonna watch it.
And then the beehive, it's like,
When we was at the draft,
when we was at the draft,
this is a white mother is checking me about my, uh,
the stuff of the Swift.
Yeah.
It's because her daughter.
It's because her daughter there, so she's brought in.
Her daughter wasn't darn into your daughter?
I know.
I'm talking about when they got to take their daughters to these concerts, they get brought in.
They started getting all hyped up.
Like, oh, I love this.
Now, oh, I love Taylor Swift.
I'm 15 years old when Taylor Swift's first single, Tim McGraw comes out.
And she was a star from that moment.
She's been in the game.
She's been in the game for 19 years.
Yeah.
You're acting like, like, Ditha Swiftie's out.
Like, I'm a Swifty.
So what are you talking about?
I've been to Swifty concerts.
When I'm there, it's kids.
You been there?
Oh, okay, all right.
Like, come on.
Come on now.
I'm in the crowd.
Bet the boys' parlay.
I'm just saying they're doing.
Bet the boys Swifty parlay.
Let's do this.
We're with Taylor Swift.
We love Travis Kelsey.
Of course they should love us.
Of course.
Not love us, but just like, yeah, they know.
Based on how big the wedding is that Will and I get invited at that wedding.
I doubt that.
Because I, you know, I saw that.
Travis, clip it.
Tell it to Travis.
I seen it.
I saw a bit.
I was just out of pitch.
They was like these Trump supporters.
Yeah.
It was all fucking Taylor Swift fans.
People want to take things at face value.
they see someone we interviewed and they want to think all of some of course i get it too i'm part of
that yeah i know you are yeah i'm part of that i get it too i'm like whoa i wasn't even in the
interview yeah but you did you did just come with the hang out and watch but i did go according to chat
gbt taylor swiff's demographic is 18 to 34 not kids 18 to 34 young young adults that's the
fucking internet saying that i'll be into the concept but you you you get it the internet also
They're saying on us.
Yeah.
So what you mean?
You can't pick and choose your statistic.
What's your favorite song, Elaine?
Favorite Taylor song.
Uh, 1972.
I don't even know if that's something.
I think it's a 19th.
I think it's a 1975 and that's a band.
Yeah.
I like that man.
Right? Blink's face?
I like that band.
No, it's 1982, ain't it?
It's 1989.
1989.
Yeah, 1988.
Why is 1989 a relevant?
I just, I just like that song.
She was born, girl.
I know.
I know it was wish she was born.
Birthday next week.
Birthday next week for a month.
I just like that song.
It's a good song.
Hey, but her old stuff I love.
Our song.
All her old stuff.
So you don't like her new stuff?
I just don't know it like that.
Or is a little too dark.
I am.
I still live in the era of 2003 through 2005 music.
Like I still listen to Blake 1A2, so I'm 41.
Little John.
Yeah, I can eat that.
Atlanta rap.
Yeah.
Bet the boys parlay.
Bet the boys parley.
We got some anytime touchdown winners for you that were putting into our parlay.
The odds are not out just yet on Fandul.
They will be out.
But they will be.
And they will be before the Thursday night football game because we got a touchdown.
Clay's got a touchdown for you coming out of the gate.
They're telling me I can't pick Josh Jacobs on Thursday night.
But for anybody out there who would like to bet this on their own, on their own,
Josh Jacobs has scored a touchdown in nine consecutive games now.
You know Matt LaFleur is thinking about that.
It's not like Josh Jacobs is some charity case.
He's rushing for 12, 1,300 yards, whatever it was last year.
So I like that.
But as far as bet the boys, they're saying, hey, Clay, you can't do that.
I like.
You can't do that.
You can't do that, Clay.
That's your boy.
Yeah.
You do the question of your boy.
Clay, you can't do that.
That's my guy.
Give me, Jalen Hertz, to score his third touchdown of the year.
That's my guy.
I like that guy.
Great guy.
I like that.
Great guy.
He's a great guy.
That's good.
Give me, Jay to hurt.
I think, oh, these guys.
I think Chief's going to play him touch, or tough, excuse me.
You know, down in the red zone, I think he's going to do what he did last week.
He'll make something happen.
He'll score.
Your pick makes me hate my pick.
Yeah.
Same.
Your pick makes me hate my pick.
What are you got?
St. Karl Markley.
You have the same calling in front of your face as me.
Yeah, you're right.
Did you make me?
Who you got?
It says right here.
Take Juan Barclay.
Listen, I'll have to change mine.
You go.
I'm going to change mine, though.
They both scored last week.
I know they both scored last week.
Don't do it again.
Spags, defense, at home, Chiefs, Will, turning the page and being like all of a sudden
I'm for the Chiefs.
Like, there's a lot of things in my head that I have to now check in my brain.
Because, yeah, Sequin Barclay, anytime touchdown, sounds fantastic.
But now I got anytime touchdown Jalen Hurts, anytime touchdown Sequin Barclay.
I love it.
I would hate to take a parlay and be like, you got to make sure that these two guys in the same game,
do it from the same team.
Double down, baby.
Javante Williams.
Cowboys want to run the football.
They did a pretty good job of it last week.
Yes, Jalen Carter was not playing on the other side of the line of scrimmage.
But I like Javante Williams.
He got in the end zone twice last week.
He also got 15 touches.
Had a lot of success.
Give me Javante Williams with the Dallas Cowboys.
That running game was sweet.
I had him to him on my list.
For some reason, I guess the host are getting the better picks.
But I'm going to let that slide.
Give anybody having a great Poupon Robinson.
baby that's who i'm taking that's who i'm taking that's who i'm taking yeah you feel me i do i'm
rolling down the window like in the end zone yeah i like that so uh he gonna get in there for sure the man
was great they need to run the ball more yes he got niz zone with the passing yards but i want to see
them handing that ball off to this dude and let him be i like that you do Vikings or five minutes i forgot
vikings did the Vikings and then you have yeah he likes big on high-sgrim game high-shroned game in deliney
Walker's mind possibly the over possibly the over I've molded over I I've talked to
my consultant Ryan Nolan the person I'm going to go with for my anytime touchdown is
going to be Lamar Jackson versus the Browns I like Lamar Jackson versus the Browns
Browns why not just Browns got better though they've gotten better this year they
switched it's gonna say why not just the any either because here's why I did it last
week and it hit and yeah like there's no guarantees in life other than death but I
will say Derek Henry is a close second to that that boy looked it good
Other than the fumble, Derek looked at.
Yeah, absolutely, yeah.
Oh, my God.
He's not slowing down anytime soon.
If you're a Titans fan, like, don't watch when the Ravens play.
Yeah.
Take your eyes off the screen.
I mean, the stiff or I'm on the first touchdown is just ridiculous.
But why did the Titans get rid of them?
Were you on teams?
All about numbers, baby.
It's all about numbers.
No, I refuse to play football after they got rid of here, Henry.
It's about this.
They didn't want to pay him.
He took less.
He took less to go to the Ravens, but now he got obviously got more.
What about AJ Brown, too?
Took less.
You got to watch the interview we do with Howard Roseman.
He breaks down the entire A.J. Brown trade.
Can you just tell me now?
It was like a negotiation stuff with A.J.
I want to say the Titans tried to overplay their leverage on like anchoring him down, pissed A.J. off.
Can't do that.
Can't do that.
Well.
They get a call during the day of the draft.
Say, hey, you want to do this.
The picks and everything worked out between picks 12 and 15.
Titans picked at 18.
12 and 15, they got the contract done with AJ.
And then Howie didn't even tell the guys that were in the war room with him.
him walked in like hey who we're gonna take with 18 he goes you know I'll tell you we're
gonna take we're take AJ Brown and I was like what what howie you're the
fucking man which I do love howie I mean I think it was that but I also think you
know we was the Patriots of the South as well with the tights and AJ likes that
are online and tell everything that's happening then they didn't like that at the
time when we was playing they didn't they didn't want you put information out there
and AJ will oh I'm having surgery
I'm doing this.
I'm doing that.
And that's why they got rid of me and Will as well
because we started our podcast.
That too.
I mean, they told you to take a break.
They told you to take a break.
You did that.
You tried.
He tried to take a break from the pod.
But then you got hurt, right?
Then you came back.
No, I didn't do the podcast during the season.
That's what I'm saying.
Yeah, I wouldn't do the podcast during the season.
Did they tell you not to do that?
No, once Rable came on, they were good with it.
Okay.
Yeah, there was never a whole lot of conversation around the pod.
They just gave me the whole, be careful conversation.
Yeah, don't put too much out there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, won that battle.
So I want to say there's a rumor too, AJ saying he wasn't going to step on the grass unless
there was a certain number there.
Yeah, yeah, that too.
So just, you know, egos.
Well, not more brable though.
Anytime touchdown.
I'm sorry, sorry.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tomar Jackson, Bejohn Robinson, he did flip to the Falcons.
I did flip to the Falcons.
So you said Vikings and you said, you're back to Falcons.
Well, I had, because when you said I have Vikings, but then when I heard him speak,
and then when I heard him give the statistics, I'm like, okay, I'm flipping over.
Yeah.
Because I hate your stats.
You didn't like that.
You didn't like the stats?
No.
I think the stat was favorable to the Vikings.
Yeah, to the Vikings.
Ten wins, one loss.
The favorable Viking stat made you go to the Falcons.
Yeah, because you did that with the Chiefs,
talking about how they always win their home opener.
You gave that stat, and then they got their ass whoop.
Jim Hargoe.
What's the 18 best sports game board in Nashville?
Think about this.
He follows my league.
Okay.
I'm supposed to talk about it.
Hell, yeah, Delaney.
B.J.
Arr.
Lamar Jack.
Jackson, Bejohn, Javonte Williams.
Jalen Hertz. Jalen Hertz.
Flex. Josh Jacobs.
Flex on your own responsibly, Josh Jacobs.
If you hear this before the Thursday.
Washington commanders, 30th overall in rush defense last year, stood up against the Giants last week.
Two touchdowns then.
Josh Jacobs, solo bet, two tuds.
What's that?
Crunch the numbers for me?
That is not on our parlay.
I was trying to say that Washington commanders, rush defense might have gotten better.
Whoa, I thought you were saying.
In rushing last year, they looked pretty good.
They're at Lambo, though.
They're at Lambo again.
Yeah.
They're at Lambo again.
Must be nice.
Two in a row.
Josh, they have to score two touchdowns,
only plus 270.
Only.
Because they feel good about it too.
They liked my stat that was in favor of the commanders.
They think that's possible with that, yeah.
Fun stat, fun show.
Great show.
We feel good, boys?
Great show.
Let's win them all this weekend.
Love you, Swifties.
