Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the busy yet pretty podcast. I'm your host, Jane Haley. If you're new here, the podcast is all about wellness, lifestyle, and ultimately becoming the best version of you. I'm so excited about today's episode, so let's get straight into the weekly review. This week, I had a photo shoot with Hello Kitty. I shot with San Rio, and it was truly so fun. I love shooting with Hello Kitty. My younger self would have been like, wow, look at you again, manifesting yet another thing. I'm not gonna lie, I was probably Hello Kitty's biggest fan growing up. It's been a surreal moment shooting the second time with Sanrio and Hello Kitty. Another thing this week is I've been really active on YouTube and when I mean really, I mean I posted one video.
Starting point is 00:00:56 But that is very active for me and I'm really excited to start getting back onto YouTube. I'm not gonna lie, I am enjoying it so much. I just love vlogging and I have one coming out very soon. My YouTube is linked in the show notes. I uploaded a What's in My Bag slash Bag Essential video. And I'm so glad to hear you guys are enjoying the new video. Another thing this week is I feel like my mood has been kind of better than it has been usually lately because I've been taking B12. I'm not sure if that was quite it, but I swear since I've been taking B12, I felt so much better. I bought one off of Amazon, which is linked in my Amazon storefront.
Starting point is 00:01:35 and let me tell you, I have just been so energized and been feeling a lot happier lately. I don't know, I just really love B12, and I think that's another essential vitamin that really I can see a difference with. The last thing is I've been really just feeling excited about the future and all the exciting things to come. The minute I become overwhelmed or feel stressed out, I really take a second to ask myself, why am I feeling this way? and I also try to snap myself into reality. And look at the big picture where I'm just so lucky to be here on earth and living and have all five senses and to be able to smell the beautiful flowers, see my family, and there's so much good in my life,
Starting point is 00:02:17 and that really just puts things into perspective, where it allows me just to be calmer and more collected about how I feel. Moving on to the current obsessions. My current obsession right now is protein shake coffee. I've been getting these protein shakes and pouring it over two shots of espresso with lots and lots of ice and it makes it like the best ever drink. It's almost like a latte, but tastes better than a latte. Plus it has protein in it, so it's good for you. So I've been making my protein shake coffee the past week and I am obsessed. Another current obsession is I am obsessed with tote purses. Not necessarily a tote bag, which I love tote bags, but a nice tote purse. is my go-to right now. It just is so easy. It fits so many things and I don't have to worry about trying to get a lot of things in a small purse and I just think they look so unbelievably classy. Another current obsession is avocados with lemon. So almost like guacamole I make, but I just love to make avocados with lemon and I'll put some salt on it and it just tastes so divine. I'll put it on a rice cake and then add some cottage cheese on top and it just tastes so, so good.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Another current obsession is really listening to my needs and what I'm wanting. Sometimes I'll begin to do my routine throughout the day and I can just tell I am not wanting a workout today or I'm not wanting to really work extra hard today and I just need a little break and I think it's really important to listen to your body because doing less can be more productive. Sometimes less can be more. So I've just really been loving to listen to my needs for both my mental. and physical health. Another current obsession is my workout ball. I use it to do crunches on and it doesn't pop at all. It's super strong. And it's seriously the best to work out with. I found myself feeling so much more toned after using it. It is definitely one of my pink Pilates princess essentials. And my last current obsession is mosh bars. Guys, I cannot tell you how in love I am with these

Starting point is 00:05:27 Moving on to the goal of the week. My goal of the week is to take a pottery class soon. I just really want to take a pottery class. I have never done it before and it looks so fun and cute. Another goal of the week is to really enjoy the last bits of summer. And no, I'm not wrapping up summer, but you know, fall is just around the corner and everyone's starting school. And I just really want to make sure I get that last bit of sun in before it starts getting a little chillier out. So laying by the pool has been essential to my day.
Starting point is 00:05:59 My last goal of the week is to really make sure I get in my daily steps. Getting in around 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day really does make me feel energized and motivated and makes me really feel good mentally and physically, which is why I want to make sure I'm consistent with my daily steps. Moving on to a daily affirmation. I wake up with purpose and motivation every day. Moving on to a self-of-question to ask yourself. How can I show up for myself every day? I love that question so much because it really helps you ask yourself, how can you show up for yourself every day?
Starting point is 00:06:35 That can be both mental and physically. I really recommend you journal that question and ask yourself. Moving on to a podcast review. Today's episode is on get up and start. Us humans love, love, love to put things off and not
Starting point is 00:08:12 take action. And don't worry, I'm guilty of it. We all are. But we tend to wait to take action for anything so it can be the right time. And there will never be a right time. There will never in your life be a quote right time. You are just making reasons while you don't want to start. You will continue and continue to find a reason to not work towards your goals, to eat healthy, to work out, to not try hard in school, just so you can put it off and wait for the quote right time. You have to realize that nobody, nobody in this world is here to help you and bring you to the top. The only person who is capable of bringing you to your goals, bringing you to the top, and being happy in life is yourself. You need to stop taking the easy route and stop trying to avoid working hard.
Starting point is 00:09:04 You're doing so much harm to yourself by taking the easy way out because deep down, you know you didn't work hard to achieve it. Or you just choose to never achieve it because it feels too hard and you don't want to put the work into it. How awful and unrewarding would it feel to cheat your way to the top or give up before even trying? You should want to work hard for you. Why are you waiting to hit rock bottom to finally start a morning routine, to finally start working hard in school, to finally start applying to jobs, to finally start achieving your goals? Why are you waiting? Why? Why are you waiting to run in a new school? To finally start applying to jobs? To finally start achieving. to a problem to finally start.
Starting point is 00:09:48 If your car is making some weird noise, are you going to go take the car in? Or actually, you know what, I'll take it in when it breaks down in the middle of the road. My mom always says this, but prevention before the problem. If you have a pretty poor diet and think, you know what, I'll just wait until I'm fully sick of it and fully sick of my diet, sick of how I look, sick of how I don't feel good from it until you finally start. start to take steps towards having a healthy lifestyle. Why are you waiting to hit rock bottom to finally take action in your life? Trust me, I am guilty of this. Something I would do is I would always
Starting point is 00:10:28 wish to be sick so it would allow myself to rest and not work. Think about how bad that sounds, wanting to wish to wish to be sick, trying to wish that I could be sick so I can take a break. What I needed to do was incorporate some more breaks into my life. That would be prevent the way I'm feeling. I was wishing for a problem and I was wishing to hit rock bottom to finally take action. Why do you want to get to that point? Start taking action from where you are now so you never even have to hit rock bottom. As I was saying, I would wish to be sick and instead I could have just scheduled out a rest day for myself. I never took action on making a rest day. Now that I have incorporated rest days into my life, I'm able to actually actually
Starting point is 00:11:15 be happy and motivated and you know what girl i would never want to get sick i can't believe i was in the position of wishing to hit rock bottom to finally make a change every time a season ends you know i'm ready to just replenish my closet with new pieces it's not shopping it's retail therapy but i need to tell you guys about a brand that i have been loving so much lately and just fits the entire style and aesthetic that I love. Another example of not taking action is someone may not have the most healthiest diet and they save themselves. After this month of me eating unhealthy, I'll finally begin to work out.
Starting point is 00:12:43 No. Start now. Why are you waiting? Stop waiting to be perfect, okay? It's just like the quote, launch fast, perfect later. If you start now, you'll be able to improve
Starting point is 00:12:56 and have some progress. But if you never start, you'll have no progress. Start now. It's very common to have a goal that you want to start taking action on. But you want to wait until everything else is perfect in your life
Starting point is 00:13:09 so you can go full force, into working hard on that goal. But then you look back a few months later and you realize, okay, nothing else got perfect in my life. So I still haven't started and I couldn't even started and improved things over time. But now, all these months have gone past and I've had no progress. Having the all or nothing mindset will hold you back from having any progress in your life. If you think to yourself, I didn't eat good today. I ate unhealthy today. So I might as well not work out and I'll just have to restart tomorrow. No, balance is key. A little progress is better than none. Why would you trash your whole day because you ate unhealthy so now you're not going to
Starting point is 00:13:53 work out? When you start a new routine, a new job, a hobby, a goal, if you go full force into it, it will become overwhelming and you'll burn out very fast. You'll end up giving up and being back to square one. If you want something to last, be consistent. and have results, then you have to understand the power of balance. I'm saying this because I love you guys, but get the hell up and start. Sorry, I got a little carried away there. But get the hell up and start. What are you waiting for?
Starting point is 00:14:25 You will not magically achieve your goals, living in your dream house, giving your dream job, having your dream car, being the happiest girl, living your dream life. If you don't take action. If you truly, truly want something, you will make it happen. Have determination, have confidence, because when you have those two things, you will easily get what you desire. You can either have a month of progress or a month of procrastination. You can't have both, okay? And you cannot get back the time that you lost.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Begin using your time with purpose and intention. You're capable of achieving anything and everything that you want and that you believe. you can. Take one step toward the right direction. Not 10 steps, not five steps. Take one step. Maybe that looks like putting a few things away to clean your room. Maybe that means searching for job applications. Maybe that means taking five minutes to read a part of your book. Maybe that means taking a shower. Maybe that means making a to-do list. Maybe that means even going on a five-minute run. to stop scheduling so many things on your to-do list for the day. I used to write down 10 things every day to do. Guess how many things I got done? Zero. It felt way too overwhelming looking at a
Starting point is 00:15:52 full list of things. Schedule three things, five things. Two things. Make it realistic. And if you achieve all those things and have extra effort to want to work that day, great. Do another thing then. but schedule realistically and that will allow you to stay consistent. Be there for yourself. Be the best provider and best friend to yourself. Show up for yourself. Show up for her. Wake up at a time that motivates you. Eat healthy for your mind-body soul. Be loving to yourself. Be your own biggest fan. Show yourself that you're capable of doing and achieving anything that you want. Take your dreams, take your goals, off a pedestal, and begin seeing eye to eye with what you want. The minute you think something is not attainable and unachievable, you're never going to get it.
Starting point is 00:16:47 You put it on a pedestal, you show the universe that you're not worthy of it. Instead, put it to your eye level. That is what you should be thinking of everything as that you want. You can achieve everything, have everything when you see it in your hands and in your life. When you truly believe and know that you deserve something, it will definitely 100% make its way to your life. Nothing is unrealistic or unachievable. No goal, no lifestyle, no car, no guy, no nothing. You can have anything that you want.
Starting point is 00:17:22 When you have a goal, write down the steps to each goal and break it down, break it down long, write 100 steps for a simple thing if you have to. Even if your goal is as simple as waking up an hour earlier, make multiple steps for that goal. Don't do the full thing where the next day you wake up an hour earlier. That's an all or nothing mindset where you're going straight into it and if you want to stay consistent with it, be realistic. Start by waking up 10 minutes earlier the next day. Then the next day, try 15 minutes earlier, then try 30 minutes earlier, then try 45, then get to an hour. work your way up there. You're going to have great results when you stay consistent. Your small progress moves big accomplishments. Become your own dream girl and the highest version of yourself.
Starting point is 00:18:13 Show up for your eight and 80 year old self. What would they want? I know they would not want you cheating your way to the top and they wouldn't want you to quit before even trying. To be honest, I feel something that we all lack on is good shapewear. I got a little feisty today, but I couldn't help it. Motivation time. Let's do it because if I'm going to do this, you guys have to. I can't be the only successful dream girl this world.
Starting point is 00:19:54 I need you guys there with me. So let's do this together. We're on a journey together. We're all working on becoming the best version of ourselves. Starting point is 00:20:32 Babe, this is achievable. This is not unrealistic, okay? Anything that you're saying, oh, that's unrealistic. Okay, yeah, then you're never going to achieve it. But when you actually believe that that is realistic, that's relatable. Guess what? That's going to be right in front of you. That's going to be your lifestyle.
