Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. I hope you all
had a lovely week. And if you are new, I am Jaden Haley here to help you achieve your dream life and become
the best version of yourself. So let's get into today's weekly review. So this week, it has been
absolutely storming outside. I was like not expecting it to be this rainy. It was flooding. And I'm just really
happy and thankful to be safe inside. The rain finally stopped today, but it has been quite a bit
of rain, but I've been really enjoying the rain just sitting with my cup of matcha or bone broth.
A cup of bone broth sounds so weird, but no, it's really good for your gut. So cute tummy health,
as I should say. But it's really good for your gut health, and I just have a little warm cup of bone broth
or warm cup of matcha and just watch the rain, which I love.
And other than that, I have been really focusing on work.
I think it's really nice to just dial in and focus.
So lately I just have been really focusing on work.
And since it's been raining, I have just really been enjoying being at home.
I'm someone who personally really enjoys my own presence and am not bummed out when I am
home at all.
I love being home.
And I felt like a little homebody this past.
week because it's been raining and everyone's been home. So I just have been really enjoying my time.
And I made some oatmeal cookies, just, you know, a fun time with myself. Another thing is I got a
massage done and I got a really nice neck and scalp massage. It was so needed and relaxing.
And I'm definitely going to start getting massages more often because it really just relaxed my neck.
and, you know, I feel like I'm always having my shoulders, like, rise when I'm working.
So it really nice is just to re-center with yourself and just relax.
And lastly, I found myself being really productive this week.
And I think it's because I've taken things slow.
And when you take things slow, you can overcome burnout.
So I just really have been enjoying to be productive and take things slow and really find out what is benefiting me
and allowing me to be more productive.
So sometimes less is more, which we were going to talk about today.
But that's something I've been really mindful of.
Moving on to my current obsessions.
So currently my obsession right now is moon juice, deep chocolate.
So it's basically like a smoothie, a milk almost.
And it's full of so many adaptogens and so much good beneficial vitamins in there.
and I just think it's amazing.
It has amazing mushrooms for your brain health and everything.
So I am just obsessed with it and I had it the other day and honestly could have
drink it all at once.
It was that good.
It's like a really fancy chocolate milk, almond milk, as I should say.
Okay, moving on to another cramp session.
Another cramp session is overnight oats.
I've been loving having overnight oats with some chia seeds in it, flaxseeds.
seeds, hemp seeds, what else do I put? Wild blueberries. I can add maple syrup. And it's so divine,
so amazing. Another current obsession is early mornings. Of course, that's always a current obsession for
me, but I really made it a priority to start waking up early. So it allows me to have more of my
morning that I want to do. And, you know, I just feel the happiest in the morning time. So I just think it was
really important for me to start waking up again. So that's definitely a current obsession.
And lastly, another current obsession for me this week is showing effort to other people to let
them know I'm thinking of them. I think it's really important to let others know you're thinking of
them, not only to make them feel good, but to let them know that, you know, you're on my mind
and I hope you're doing good. So I have just been loving that, whether that's my family, my friends,
just anyone giving a quick little text can make such a difference in their day and your relationship
with them.
For my goal of the week, I am currently really trying to focus on organizing guests for the podcast.
I asked you guys over my Instagram story, what guests you'd like to see.
And let me just say a few of the names you replied.
I already have in the works.
So I'm very excited.
I'm just so excited for this new year.
there is so much to come with the podcast.
And I'm just so thankful for all the support and love you guys show.
Be ready for exciting guests.
And it's all in the works.
I promise.
I know I've been saying this for a long time,
but it does take a lot of time to organize everything.
So I also want to hear any guests you guys have in mind.
So feel free to always DM the Busy Yet Pretty Instagram,
what guests you'd like to see.
Another thing is I really want to start being consistent with movement.
and I was working out every single day for like a few years ago and stuff.
And now I really want to start getting back into it.
I haven't worked out for a good while.
And I always have little movement,
but I really want to start getting back into a more structured movement routine.
So I just did 12.3.30, which if you don't know what that is,
it's walking at a 12% incline while walking at a speed of 3 for 30 minutes.
and let me tell you it's hard.
So I really challenge you to try this this week and let me know if you can do it because
it definitely breaks a sweat.
It's so mentally rewarding that I put my mind to it and was able to do it.
So that's something I really want to start doing more often as well as doing more Pilates and all of that.
Another goal of the week is to have another closet clean out.
I just think it's so, so nice to have a good closet clean out and it can be so rewarding
to, you know, have a fresh start in a new space, allowing new things to come in.
So definitely just sifting through my things would be so nice.
Moving on to a self-love question to ask yourself,
Is there something I am wanting to do but have put it off?
If so, pinpoint the reason why.
I love that so much because it really allows you to think about what have you been wanting to do,
have you been putting it off, and why?
I think asking yourself the question why can really help you.
you align with your goals and realize, wow, it's time to start doing this or it's time to start
working towards it. So I really love that question so much. Moving on to an affirmation.
It is on my mind and soon enough it will be in my life. I love that affirmation so much because
I think it's so important to just feel the feelings of what you want and when you do,
you will receive it. Like I talked about in my past episodes, ask, believe, and receive.
where energy goes and tension flows.
So I really think you guys should be mindful of that this week
and really put your mind to feeling that you have what you want.
Okay, now my challenge for you this week is
cook or bake a new recipe.
Very simple, but just cook or bake a new recipe,
something you see on Pinterest,
something maybe you see on my page or something you saw on TikTok.
Just cook or bake something new,
and it can allow you to try something new
and maybe discover something that you're obsessed with.
I just took a little pause to go eat some caviar.
And let me just tell you it was so good,
so classy of me to go eat some mid-recording.
It was so divine.
Okay, guys, let's get into today's episode.
Today's episode is on how to create a perfect morning routine.
And let me start off saying,
a perfect morning routine looks different on everyone.
And I think that's one of the most like misconstrued topics that people think of about routines
or they look down on wellness trends and everything because people tend to think, well,
that's the only way to do it.
So I can't achieve that.
When honestly, that is so false.
Everyone's routine is different.
And the perfect routine depends on your own lifestyle.
So what's perfect for me is not perfect for you.
And what's perfect for you is not perfect for me.
everyone has a different morning routine and this is why I think it's so important to talk about
this and I really want to touch on how you can create your own perfect morning routine.
So a typical morning routine that everyone strives to have, you know, waking up at 5 a.m.,
green juice, ice bath, working out, running with your friends, journaling, an elaborate breakfast.
Yeah, that is so ideal.
We see that.
And then, you know, sometimes it can give us motivation, but it also can kind of bring
us down because we're like, why can't my life be like that? Why can't I achieve that morning
routine? And I think it's really important to realize that that lifestyle and that morning
routine is not reasonable or realistic for everyone. Everyone has their own unique routine.
And you know what? You may not even want that routine. So what works for you is it perfect for you.
And for instance, something that may work for you great is waking up at eight and eating
a quick fast breakfast like cereal instead of an elaborate morning routine.
And still, that morning routine you have, even if it's simple, sometimes less is more.
Everyone has different schedules, okay?
You have to realize this.
I don't have to be somewhere by a certain time in the morning.
I don't go to school or I don't have a job that I have to be at in person at a certain time.
I work for myself.
So I have my own free schedule and it's very flexible rather than maybe some.
someone who has school where you have to be at school at a certain time. So you can't really have
the same morning routine as I do. Or let's say someone who has a house. I don't have a house. I have an
apartment. So I can't go in my backyard and go in my sauna. I don't have a sauna. So, you know,
that'll happen one day for me. But right now that's not realistic for me. Everyone has different
routines. Whether you have to go to school or work or have to be somewhere by a certain time,
your schedule looks different than mine. Just like how my neighbors is this.
different than mine. Everyone's schedule is different, which is why acknowledging that it's not a bad
thing if your routine looks like nothing like mine or nothing like the girls on Pinterest or TikTok.
It's because everyone is doing what aligns with their schedule because my schedule is very flexible
and let's say maybe yours isn't. Maybe you have to be somewhere by a certain time. So you're not
going to have the same routine as me. For instance, my routine is very complex, very multi-step, you know,
I like it that way.
That's something I really take pride in is taking time in my morning routine.
And for what I do in the morning is very beneficial to me.
And honestly, if you replicated my healthy habits that I do in my morning routine
can actually be more negative and detrimental to you than actually benefiting you.
Like I said, if you have school or work or have to be somewhere at a certain time,
how do you expect to do my multi-step long morning routine?
You can't and you can't feel bad about that because we both have different
schedules. I don't have to be somewhere at a certain time for work in person or school. So I
plan my morning routine around my schedule. And yeah, productivity sounds nice. You know, we all want to
get as much as we can done. And we all want to have those really nice, very productive routines
or making the most of your mornings by extending it with as much you can do at once. But if you start
trying to cramp a million rituals in your morning routine and it's stressing you out because
you feel like you can't just do it all, that won't be. That won't better.
benefit you one bit because less can sometimes be more. More rest can be more beneficial to you than
waking up at 5 a.m. That's why I'm trying to say is your morning routine that should be based on your
schedule. That's what's going to create a perfect morning routine. If I wake up late and I'm not going
according to plan and according to schedule, instead of stressing myself out thinking, how am I going to
do all my routine rituals because I slept in? Instead, I will take a step back and think, what is really
going to benefit me. Not how many things can I do in this small amount of time. You have to
replace it with how can I use this time to benefit my needs and situation according to my
schedule. There's no right or wrong to routines because everyone's looks different. Erase the all
or nothing mindset. And I know a lot of us have this. I definitely have struggled with it in the past
and still sometimes do where I will wake up late and like, oh, my morning's already going bad. So that means
all of it's down the drain.
Pick up where you left off.
Okay?
Yeah, maybe I missed my morning rituals.
But let's just continue going because you know what?
A little is better than nothing.
Strive for consistency rather than perfection.
Because when you start to strive for consistency,
you will see so much more progress than trying to strive for perfection.
You're going to have lots of bumps in the road
where you're not going to wake up at the time you want.
You're not going to have the workout you want in.
you're not going to meditate in the morning and you're just going to want to throw all your progress away.
No, don't do that. Continue. Even if things didn't go to plan, continue where you left off.
So you're probably wondering how do you determine what the perfect morning routine looks like for you?
And something that I like to do is ask yourself, what are simple rituals that bring me joy?
Some examples that may bring you joy is gratitude journaling, morning walk, exercise.
drinking macha or calling a family member or friend.
Those are some little simple joys that could be in your morning routine.
So just think about those and reflect and we'll come back to that soon.
Now, think of what time do you want to wake up in the morning?
Do you want to wake up at 5 a.m.?
Or do you want to wake up at 8 a.m?
There is no correct answer.
Like I said, it's all according to our schedules.
So what is your ideal time that you want to wake up that fits your schedule?
And you have to really think to yourself,
am I wanting to wake up at this time
because all the girls on social media is?
Is it reasonable for me to wake up at this time
according to my schedule and needs?
I promise you waking up at that time
will do more harm than good.
And you have to just revise your goal.
If you have to be out of the house by 7 a.m.,
it's not reasonable for you to get up at 4 a.m.
and to do all your morning routine
where you're lacking sleep.
Choose a time that works for you.
And once you choose a time,
your morning routine begins with your night routine.
I always say that and I always live by it and I promise you once you start being mindful of that,
it will change your morning routine so drastically and improve it so much.
With that being said, calculate the amount of hours that you need to get enough sleep.
So for instance, maybe 70 hours you want to sleep in the night.
Calculate the time that you need to go to sleep by in order to have enough hours of sleep and still wake up at the time that you want.
In order for your morning routine to have a good start, you have to be consistent at going to bed at the time that you need to go to bed by.
Stop scrolling on TikTok.
Guess what?
That's benefiting you.
Nothing.
Lay in bed and go to sleep.
And if that's hard for you, then there's so many meditation practices.
And that's a whole other thing.
But really try to set time to just fall asleep at the time that you want to in order for you to wake up at the desired time that you want.
looking to cut down on food expenses, get more bang for your bite with America's best valued
meal kit. Every plate is 25% cheaper than grocery shopping, so you can count on great value week
after week. Plus, only pay for what you need with pre-portioned ingredients. At first, I was a bit
skeptical since meal kits are definitely a hit or miss, especially how meal kits can tend to be
expensive, but now I'm convinced that you can get the same deliciousness at a much lower price. I love how
with EveryPlate, it allows you to save so much money in time, where I can now put that money
I'm saving towards other things. For instance, going to Pilates class, or maybe I'm going to spend it
on buying a new bag. I love how EveryPlate is so fast and convenient, and if you're someone who works
a lot and need dinner on the table quick, Everyplate is the perfect option for you. Get $1.49 per meal by going
to everyplate.com slash podcast and entering code Pretty 149. Again, you can get $1.49 per
meal by going to everyplate.com slash podcast, entering code Pretty 149.
So back to revisiting what are little rituals we're talking about that you may enjoy for your
morning.
So incorporate them into your routine.
Let's say you have many little rituals you like just as I do.
Prioritize three.
Prioritize three rituals that are your non-negotiables that you really want to have in
your morning routine. For example, mine is my five minute journal tidying up slash making my bed and
ice rolling my face. Those are my three little rituals that I prioritize each morning. And then, you know,
think of the additional little rituals that you like, that you'd like to have in your morning,
that you know it's okay if you miss them, but you'd like to add them in. That allows you to not overstress
about trying to get everything done, but really prioritizing the top three,
and then just adding in those little additional rituals if you have extra time for that morning.
When organizing the perfect morning routine, it's essential for you to target a ritual for each your mind, body, and soul.
So example, rituals that would cater to your mind would be affirmations, journaling, meditating, breathwork.
For your body, that could be movement, walking, guasha, ice roll, stretching, Pilates,
drinking a green juice.
And then for your soul, some things could be listening to music, listening to a podcast, maybe busy
yet pretty.
Call your friend or a family member.
Having that structure will lead you to a perfect morning routine.
So it's really good to be mindful when prioritizing your top three things you want to
focus on in your mornings is having something for your mind, body, and soul.
and if you skip a morning or skip rituals in your morning because let's say you woke up late
or you have someone to be earlier and just things aren't going to schedule it's okay it's better to
have little progress than no progress at all as i was saying if you skip a few things in your
morning routine you know what it's okay you can do it tomorrow just do a little as much as you can
and continue with your day don't dwell on it where it's lasting you all day you're
you're sad that you didn't do this in your morning routine, that you didn't ice roll, that you
didn't do Pilates.
Because you know what?
Little progress is better than no progress at all.
Like I said, shoot for consistency, not perfection.
And after thinking of what routine works for you, you may reflect and feel like your routine
just isn't exciting because, for instance, you may not drink a green juice in the morning.
You may not wake up at 5 a.m.
Go to Pilates, journal.
or do, you know, those typical gray wellness activities that you see on social media,
let me tell you, everyone just romanticizes their life, okay?
Yes, you see those.
Trust me, Pilates was just romanticized.
It's just like any workout, okay?
Same with you eating cereal.
Let's say you have to eat a really quick breakfast and you just need some oatmeal,
add some cute chia seeds on top with some berries.
Romanticize what you have and work with what you have.
because I promise you once you do, it will make you feel so much better.
Everyone just romanticizing what they're doing, their routines.
It's nothing that extraordinary special.
I promise you, once you start romanticizing your activities in the morning,
you'll feel so much better, even if it's simple.
Remember, less is sometimes more.
Make it exciting.
You're the creator.
So do it.
We're all just living our own lives.
We're all just trying to be exciting.
And you know what?
I get so happy when you guys tag me in your morning routines, especially when you guys show that you're listening to Busy at Pretty.
But I see you guys tag me in your morning routines on TikTok and or on Instagram.
And I'm absolutely blown away how cute you guys make your mornings, like literally obsessed.
And we all have our unique mornings.
Okay.
There's no right or wrong.
My morning is perfect for me and your morning is perfect for you.
So please do not compare yourself to any way.
We are all just doing what works according to our schedule.
And if you are maybe lacking some morning routine info,
I post a lot of what I do every single morning over my Instagram.
So you can go check that out as well as my TikTok.
But there's so much on Pinterest as well.
I have a morning routine board over Pinterest.
You can look at all of those.
And you have to remember,
my morning routine changes every single day.
It literally doesn't stay exactly to schedule every single day.
It changes.
And that's what's good.
It evolves or some days I'm not to schedule.
So I learn something new, okay?
Stop trying to be so perfect to your morning routine where it feels like a dread.
It's supposed to be exciting.
So do what makes you happy and find inspiration if you're lacking inspiration.
For instance, my morning routine changes every day,
but generally looks like me waking up at 5.30,
I will just put on some nice calming music or I'll put on a little affirmation playlist.
and then I will go brush my teeth, you know, ice roll, do my skin care.
I'll kind of just look outside for a while.
I just admire nature.
I'll do my makeup or if I don't do makeup, I'll just start to get dressed,
and I'll start doing some work.
I'll get some matcha.
I'll make my breakfast.
Doing my five-minute journal in the morning.
It's all little simple things like that.
But you know what?
I romanticize it.
So you can do the exact same.
I hope listening to this episode, it's allowed you to realize that you're more.
morning routine is perfect for you. And you don't need to use someone else's routine as a blueprint
for yours. We're all doing it according to our schedule and what works for us. So I love you guys so
much. And you know what? Let me see what you guys do for your morning routine. Tag me in your
TikTok so I can repost it. Tag me on Instagram. Show me what you do in your morning routine.
Or if you guys want it, you can DM the podcast. I always am reading everything. If I don't reply,
I promise you, I still read it.
I try to get to all the messages.
You guys are so sweet.
And hearing the stories you guys tell me of how the podcast has changed your life literally brings me so much joy.
I love you guys so much.
I'm going to go make a really yummy dinner and journal, listen to a podcast.
And you know what?
Relax and also brainstorm some new guests for future episodes.
So with that being said, I love you guys so much.
And don't forget to stay busy yet pretty.
