Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. It's been a while since we last chatted, but today we're going to have a really fun, exciting episode. I know you will love it, especially if maybe you have had some lack of confidence and just need a boost to remember who you are, then this episode is for you. But let's get straight into our weekly review. This week, I have been just closing up that fall decor. I was Barbie. Halloween by the way if you did not see my Instagram post but not gonna lie that was such a fun costume but I have just been closing out Halloween the fall decor and I just finished all my Christmas decorations yesterday and I am quite literally obsessed something about the holidays just feels like a
Starting point is 00:00:59 warm hug another thing this week is I have really just been enjoying time alone I honestly am someone who loves being alone it's so good to remember that you are your own best friend. You can do everything on your own agenda, which has just made me so happy lately. Some of us get the winter blues, and it's really good to remember that you can do anything you want with your life. You can create your own life to how you want it. You don't have to wait for anyone, so I just love that, and it just really gets me off my booty and gets started on things to do that will ultimately benefit me in the long run. Next up is current obsessions. My current obsession right now is trimmed brows. I trimmed my brows for the first time the other day and like I combed them out
Starting point is 00:01:44 and I had my little mini scissors and I trimmed them and it honestly took my brows to the next level. So I really recommend trying that or safely trying it so you don't trim off all your brows. But I really love the outcome. Another current obsession right now is Jenny Kane. I love every season to be honest, but winter just is the season I am most excited for when it comes to fashion. I already have so much winterist style inspo in mind. 99% of my winter inspo is coming from Jenny Kane. I am beyond obsessed with Jenny Kane. I swear their pieces are so chic and effortless.

Starting point is 00:02:58 okay this current obsession is really funny blasting cold air as soon as i get out of the shower It just makes me feel so refreshed and it just feels so, so good. Moving on to the goal of the week. My goal of the week is to have a good old phone cleanse, and I mean clean out my camera roll, clean out my apps, clean out my socials, you know, do the whole reset. And whenever I do a phone cleanse, it actually really helps me feel like more peace of mind and organized,
Starting point is 00:03:29 so I really recommend you try it as well. Another goal of the week right now is to practice more baking. I made a hollabred my first time last week and it was so, so good and I really want to try making it again. But this time I want to ferment it for longer. So if you have any tips or advice on hollabred, please send it my way because I would love to know. My last goal of the week is to begin guasheying daily. I have begun guashering again lately and it has been just such a game changer. I see instant results of having my face depuffed and all. I have been. I've been a guaschaing Also, long-term results, so I just want to get back on to doing that again routinely.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Moving on to an affirmation. I only get happier, healthier, richer, and prettier. I love that affirmation so much, affirm that to yourself, and truly believe it because it will come true. Moving on to a self-love question. What are three words that describe your beauty? I love that question so much. Really ask yourself that question and script it out. Now for your challenge of the week, drink lots of water as soon as you wake up.
Starting point is 00:04:38 I love that challenge because I've been doing it every single day for the past few years, and it is such a game changer. It totally wakes me up and just makes me feel so hydrated and refreshed, and it just feels so good. Lastly, is a podcast review. This review is from Gemma, and Gemma said, Hi, I'm Gemma. How to feel confident in every room that you walk in. After listening to this episode, you are going to leave here with a brand new version of you. Every single person in this world has struggled with confidence at least one point in their life. And I'm not just saying everyone meaning not everyone, I mean everyone. Your friends, your boyfriend, your significant other, your idol, your favorite celebrity, your teacher, your parents.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Every single person in this world has struggled with confidence at least one point in their life. I believe we are born with confidence and the outside influence such as people, social media, and experiences are what makes us lose our confidence. An example is maybe stretch marks you have. You never thought anything of it until you saw a social media post talking about how ugly stretch marks are. And let me just preface, stretch marks are so beautiful. I literally have them on my hips. Do not think that I'm hating on stretch marks. I love them.
Starting point is 00:07:14 They are so beautiful. But let's say maybe you have stretch marks. You saw a post about stretch marks were ugly. And that made you think, oh, wait, I never thought anything of it before. So I guess now it's something new to be insecure about. I believe we are put here in this earth with confidence, and the outside influence is what makes us lose our confidence. Another example is maybe you thought nothing of your lips
Starting point is 00:07:39 and then someone mentioned to you that your lips were small. That one comment that someone has made may have created a new lifelong insecurity for you. And of course, it knocked down your confidence. First of all, this is just a lesson to take everything, what people say, what people post, what you see on social media, all with a grain of salt. People's opinions are not facts. But example, that one person's comment could allege you to a lifelong insecurity to have now.
Starting point is 00:08:09 And now every single time you enter a room, you're so subconscious about your lips and you're wondering what people are thinking about them. That is the feeling of lack of confidence. When you're on your journey to build your confidence, the most important thing to realize is that nobody is looking at you the way you look at yourself. Of course, in your head, you're thinking, well, how can they not look at this ugly birthmark on my face? How can they not look at my ugly small lips? Let me just say, everyone is so self-absorbed with themselves. They are thinking the exact same thing when they walk in the room. They're thinking, what is that person thinking of me? So let go of that thought. Everyone just so self-aware of themselves. And another really important thing to remember is how lucky
Starting point is 00:08:55 you are. When you begin to feel insecure about yourself and unconfident, begin to think about how lucky you are to be on this beautiful earth and to be alive, to be able to breathe, to eat, to have hands to do your makeup. You have feet to walk around and see the world. Raise your hand if you've ever gone on a little wellness health kick and you find yourself following a ton of quote health experts and then you begin self-diagnosing yourself and practically becoming your own doctor. Let me just say my hand is currently raised because I know I've been there and I know you have too. Starting point is 00:10:44 Our insecurity may feel so big, yet that problem is actually so small in this world. And that's not to not make your insecurity invalid. not this case at all, but to let you know that there are so much other things that could be wrong with you or to happen to you. But how lucky are you? That that insecurity you have is just your only little insecurity. You are so fortunate to be able to have all that you have. Why let a moment go by of your life, not enjoying your life to your fullest? Confidence will not stem from how you view yourself on just the outside because confidence comes from within always. Of course, also comes from the outside as well, but the time and effort that you put into yourself
Starting point is 00:11:29 will reflect on the outside of what you receive. If you put time into your mentality, by practicing gratitude, meditation, and inner work, you will have an outcome of a healthier mindset. If you put time into your physicality, by working out, eating nutritious meals, skincare, self-care, you will have an outcome of feeling more attractive, have a toned body, and be healthier. All the confidence that you want to receive stems from the amount of time and effort that you're willing to put in. Your confidence should be fueled by the belief in yourself instead of the validation from others. Stop looking outwards and start looking inward. So let's say you're insecure about how you look. You're going to go fishing for compliments from guys. Okay, let's say they call you
Starting point is 00:12:15 pretty and let's say the next day they call you ugly. Are you going to all of a sudden feel ugly that day? No. Stop wanting validation from the outward part of your life and start looking inward. Give yourself that validation. Provide for yourself the way you want someone else to provide for you. If you want to be taken on a date, take yourself on a date. If you want to be called pretty, call yourself pretty in the mirror. Fill those voids that you have in confidence. When you walk into a room of people, instead of hiding and avoiding the situation by going on your phone, scrolling on your phone, doing actually nothing but just trying to avoid the situation. Instead, stand up street and act confident.
Starting point is 00:12:58 You don't have to actually be confident, but act it. Of course, it may feel nerve-wracking to go act confident and stand with your backup street, but you will realize how different you feel in a positive way. And not only that, you will realize how others treat you differently as well. You need to get outside of your comfort zone, and those real-life experiences will show. shape you for success and confidence. Now, let's get into the new version of you. Think of yourself as the main character in a movie. This is your life, not your insecurities life. It's your life to enjoy. When you wake up in the morning, the first thing you should do is go look in the mirror and tell yourself, I love you. Yes, I understand that may sound kind of corny, but let me just say,
Starting point is 00:15:36 I swear when you begin to show yourself the love that you show for others and show yourself the love that you're wanting to receive from others, you will begin to feel true love. This kind of goes back from relationships. You may think, oh, I want true love. Where's my true love? Think about this. Are you showing yourself true love? When you provide for yourself what you're wanting,
Starting point is 00:16:00 you will literally attract that from the outside life. If you're showing yourself love, you will attract love from other people to you because you already show yourself love. You're not saying, who wants to fill this void and give me love? No one wants to do that, okay? But if you're like, I love myself, I provide for myself, I love myself. Other people around you are like, wait, she loves herself,
Starting point is 00:16:22 so I want to love her too. They will want to hop on that bandwagon to love you also. Then all of a sudden, you love yourself and everyone else loves you. And you need to remember that there is no other love like the love you're capable of showing yourself. You are born as you for a reason. How amazing is it that you have the power to create your own identity and build your own life for yourself. Stop putting so much time and focus into what you hate about yourself. The only thing that's creating is lost time and stopping you from living the life that you're meant to live. Don't push your insecurities to the back burner either, but you need to realize that you have to acknowledge them and begin solving them. Whether that
Starting point is 00:17:05 means showing yourself more self-love, self-care, eating food that makes you feel better, or putting more time into yourself. When you walk into a room, your presence is always felt by others. All because the confident energy that you radiate. Babe, life is too short to be caught up in your mind and not feeling confident, sexy, and beautiful. Confidence is sexy. How you hold yourself portrays how you feel about yourself. When you begin taking on uncomfortable situations, you will become more secure with yourself, resulting in building more confidence.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Stop living for the opinion of others and live to make yourself proud. I truly love talking about confidence. I think confidence is just such an important topic. It's something that I don't understand why is not taught in schools. Of course, we're taught the basics at school that we need in our everyday life, but we're also taught some things where I don't feel is as necessary as talking about something like confidence. Because confidence is a worldwide struggle, and it feels like you're the only one experiencing lack of confidence when you're living in it.
Starting point is 00:18:17 But let me just say, you are one of the millions and billions of people who are experiencing lack of confidence. Everyone struggles with confidence. And sadly, not everyone knows how to deal with building their confidence and solving that problem, which is where I think it's so important to talk about it because, again, this is a world. world-wide struggle. And if I can help a few people, and if then you are helped and you're able to help someone else, that is all amazing because it's a domino effect. It is so important to share the love of loving yourself and how to feel better about yourself. You never want to
Starting point is 00:18:55 look back and think, gosh, I wasted so much time when I could have been happier, when I could have been enjoying myself. I could have been at the beach, but I was too scared to wear a swimsuit. like think about how sad that would be if we just didn't live our life for ourselves and you need to remember that confidence will not come overnight okay this is something that could take months years decades to fully build that up i promise you taking that step now will lead you to so so much more confidence that you could have ever imagined if you didn't just start so i ask you please take this time for yourself.
