Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. I'm looking so forward to today's
episode. I honestly feel like there's no better time than now to share this episode. So I'm so excited. And without
further ado, let's get into today's weekly review. This week, there was a literal hurricane, okay,
a hurricane in California living in a high rise. I was kind of scared how that would be. And I was a little
freaked out but thankfully everyone was safe this was totally okay and it was not as bad as they
predicted it to be but on top of the hurricane there was an earthquake which i thought was really
unexpected and kind of scary but i really just made the fun out of the hurricane and staying in and i made a
pumpkin spice latte i watched Halloween movies and it honestly was the most perfect day and it just got me
so excited for fall another thing this week is i've been trying out new skin
care products. As you may know, I have been struggling with my skin a little lately for my
hormonal acne, and I feel like I finally am starting to find some products that actually
cater really well to my skin. And another thing this week is I've been trying to be very active
on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, all the platforms. I love just being super connected with you guys. I am
always just replying to comments, DMs, because nothing makes me happier than talking to you guys.
and I've also received so many messages on the new YouTube videos, so thank you so much for being so supportive.
Other than that, I have just been really excited for fall and prepping for the fall season.
I feel like I need to just remind myself to live in the present, but how can I help it when fall is right around the corner?
And all I can think about is pumpkin spice lattes, going in the leaves, and honestly wanting just to travel to Vermont.
Oh, one last thing.
You guys are going to be so proud of me, but I have been working on.
on getting my driver's license.
Like, look at me go.
I'm just learning and practicing right now.
I promise you guys, when I take the test
and when I get my license,
you guys will know I will be updating you guys
the entire time.
Now, moving on to my current obsessions.
My current obsession right now is soups.
I love a good soup.
They are just so divine.
And I don't know if it's just because
it falls right around the corner,
but I am obsessed.
Another current obsession is my marriage.
concealer stick. I have gone through so many different concealer sticks and this has been one
my favorites of all time. I actually use it almost like a foundation stick and we'll kind of just do
an all coverage with it and I love it. Also the packaging is so clean and classy with all
neutrals and I love it. Another current obsession is my protein coffee. I will get a protein shake and
use half of the protein shake and then add two shots of espresso and it turns into the most divine like
coffee, protein shake, and it just is the perfect duo and it has protein. Another current obsession
is tote bags. I have been in my tote bag era. I just am someone who carries so much in my purse.
And with tote bags, it just is so easy to bring everything I need in all the different compartments.
So tote bags have been essential for my wardrobe. And of course for convenience.
My last current obsession is fall jazz music. Try and
and stop me, guys. I am just moving way too fast onto fall already, but I really need to just be
present in summer, but I can't. I'm just so excited. I've been on Pinterest all the time looking at
Fall Inspo. Call me Basic. I do not care, but I love a good fall moment. Moving on to my goal
of the week. My goal of the week is to have a really nice deep clean. I feel like the first step
to having a really nice restart in your mindset, your lifestyle, everything starts with your
environment and that has to do with cleaning. The minute I actually do a deep clean on my place,
I swear my mindset is so much more positive and I feel like I can think so much better and
clear. I always do a weekly clean, but I really, really want to do a deep clean very soon.
And I encourage you guys to do it as well. Another goal of the week is to bake chickpea brownies.
I am in love with chickpea brownies.
I just need to find a good recipe on it.
Something about fueling your body with such nutritious ingredients and healthy food just makes me feel so good.
I'm not talking about the nutrition labels.
I'm not talking about the calories.
I'm talking about real nutritious foods that actually make your body feel good.
My last goal of the week is to guasha more.
Every time I guasha, I always do see a difference in depuffing my face.
and that is something I want to become more consistent on again.
Moving on to an affirmation.
The affirmation is,
My worries are only a stepping stone in my journey to happiness and success.
I absolutely love that affirmation.
It is so true, every single bit of a stepping stone will stem from a hardship,
which is always good to realize that this hard moment is temporary and it will lead you to the correct destination.
Moving on to a self-love question to ask you.
yourself. Do I show myself the respect I deserve in all situations? I love that question so much because
it's so important to really acknowledge are we showing ourselves the respect in all situations? Meaning you may
show yourself respect when you're alone, giving yourself discipline, but what if you're in person
and someone's not treating you right? Are you showing yourself the respect that you deserve by
standing up for yourself and being your own advocate? Next is a challenge of the week. I challenge you
to try a five-minute meditation and really try to ground with your thoughts and yourself.
I've been doing breath work and guided meditations on my phone and it's helped so much to distress
and just honestly have a better peace in mind. Moving on to the podcast review. This podcast review
is from Paola and she said, love it. So motivating. I listen to it while I work to stay awake and
energized. I love that review so much and I love how you said you listen to it while you work to stay awake
and energized. I always love being a form of motivation to you guys so that meant so much to me
and I'm so grateful for your review. If you want to be featured on next week's episode, please feel
free to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcast. You guys know how much I love taking care of my hair.
I just feel that hair care is so important and sometimes we look past it because we're so focused on
skincare, but hair care is so important. Something I've been doing recently to really help my hair
is been using these silk pillowcases from hair love. And when I tell you, I wake up every single day
with my hair not tangled and it's just looking so much more smoother is when you know it's now
my current obsession. I also use their hairbrush every day and I absolutely love it. And I am a
picky person when it comes to hairbrushes. Their growth complex capsules are the perfect vitamin to also
incorporate into your routine, just taking two capsules a day with water, promoting new hair growth,
moisture and shine. I know you guys will love Hair Love as much as I do, so I want to give you guys
a code for 15% off sitewide at Hairlove.com slash Pretty15. That's Hairlove.com slash Pretty 15,
all linked in the show notes. Without further ado, it's time to get right into today's episode.
Today we're going to talk about how to bounce back and get back onto routine.
Many of you were requesting a back to school episode.
And instead of doing a back to school episode, I thought, why not do a back onto routine?
So whether you're going back to school, to work, or just need an overall guide to adjust back on routine, this episode is the best way to easily snap back onto schedule.
Getting back on routine can be so difficult both mentally and physically, because not all.
only are you mentally not prepared to go back to school, but your body could be physically so
used to your current habits, which could be not used to waking up early, not working out,
haven't been very social, whereas going back to school or going back to your job can feel
like a shock to you because mentally and physically your body and your mind is not used to it.
And it can become so exhausting and it's important to realize that when you're feeling exhausted
from trying to snap back onto schedule or snap back onto routine is to remember that the hard part
is already over, which is starting. Starting is the hardest part to getting back onto routine.
And after you start, now it's up to you to be consistent and to have proper care and time management
to allow you to smoothly get back onto routine, and not only to get back onto routine, but to feel good
being back on routine. Like I said, the hardest thing is start.
Once you already started, it's in your hands to make the process of being back on routine easy or hard.
We don't like to admit this, but we know deep down what we need to do and the steps we need to take to get back onto routine.
But of course, it's sounding just so exhausting, so much work, so we procrastinate it or just make it an overall hard time for ourselves when it doesn't need to be.
For you snapping back onto routine, maybe waking up and getting enough time to not be late to school or
to work because your body has been so used to sleeping in in the summer and just not wanting to get up
early. So if your goal is to wake up early, do not go in with the all or nothing mindset. You need to
take one step at a time. Same thing goes with the amount of tasks that you need to do to get back
on track. Let's say you have a list of things you need to do to finally snap back onto schedule.
Take one task at a time. Don't try to wake up earlier. Work out, journal, eat healthier.
study, clean, and do all your errands in one day, and try to get back on the schedule within 24 hours.
Don't even try to do all that much in a week. Spread out your task. Work on one thing at a time
until you begin to have progress. Then when you have progress, add on a new task. Starting even one
new step towards being back on routine can actually exhaust you and wipe you out. So you need to
ensure that you give yourself the rest that you need. Self-care, relaxing, rest. All of those are so
important when trying to get back onto routine. Again, do not try to fit all your to-dos in one day.
Start one task at a time and again, don't try to finish one task in one day. Start with one task
and one step towards that task. When you begin getting back on routine, it's so important to not be
and shamed when you come back from school, work, or from running errands, feeling so tired and wiped out.
Naturally, you're going to feel those things because your energy is being drained and you're using
more energy than you were the past few months or the past few weeks. And when this happens,
it's essential to incorporate more energy givers. When you start putting out a lot of energy
on getting back into routine, back to school, back to work, back onto feeling good and better,
it's going to wipe you out. So make sure to incorporate energy givers to replenish that energy.
Energy givers may be walking your dog, watching your favorite show, talking to your parents,
getting your favorite dessert, taking a 15-minute nap, seeing your friends or family,
getting a little Starbucks. Every step you take, reward yourself. Let's say you're getting back
on routine by working out. You worked out for 15 minutes. Okay, now give yourself an energy.
energy giver, go to Starbucks. Maybe you woke up early. Now you deserve a nap later. Maybe you took
time and studied. Reward yourself with watching TV later tonight. Reward yourself like a little kid.
Make getting back on routine exciting and fun. You have to get back onto schedule anyways, so you might
as well make it exciting. Reflecting back to my last episode, it's kind of similar to routines,
where you just have to get up and start. Again, once you start,
start, the hard part is already over. You are going to stay more consistent on your routines when you
do not burn out. And burnout can come from so many different ways, but that also can come from the all or
nothing mindset, where you try to do everything at once and then you want to quit all at once,
rather than taking one step at a time. Some ways you can make getting back on your routine
smooth and successfully is take pictures of your progress. Many people do that on their health journey
where they'll take photos of their progress and then over time they can look back and just see all the
progress they had. And documenting that progress can feel so motivating to see, oh my gosh,
look at me from here, look at me from now. And if you apply that same method to your day-to-day
life in whatever task that you're wanting to improve on, it will hold you accountable and allow
you to look back at your progress. Let's say you wake up 15 minutes earlier. Take a picture of the time.
Let's say you worked out. Take a picture post-work.
Maybe you studied for 15 minutes. Take a picture of you studying. Did you clean your room? Take a picture of your
cleaned room. And maybe even post one of these photos also. Document your progress and that will hold you
accountable and also make the process exciting and can be a form of motivation. Another thing you can do
and of course like I said, holding yourself accountable can be difficult and of course we don't want to
depend on anyone else for motivation, but something that you can do to help make getting back on
routine exciting is maybe begin a challenge or a task with your friend to help motivate each other
and keep each other accountable. When you and someone else are doing a task together, it can be
really fun and motivating because you motivate them, they motivate you, and ultimately you both
find a better way to climb to success. Back in middle school, me and my friend both challenged
each other to do the Victoria's Secret of Diet and work out for two weeks long. And no, I am not
advising that at all. But that was something that we did. And instead of making it like a task,
we both did it together to be like fun and exciting as a challenge. So we would text each other
within every hour or so asking how we're doing and what we did today and just having fun doing that.
And it made it so motivating and such a fun challenge rather than a task. So maybe if working
working out is something hard for you. Ask a friend if they want to have a workout challenge with you.
Maybe waking up early is hard for you. Find a friend who also finds waking up early hard
and set this challenge for you guys to wake up earlier and challenge each other and you can
motivate each other.

Rules and restrictions may apply.
When getting back on routine, you have a list of things to do, I assume.
So make your to-do list interesting.
If you have errands to run, grab a fun little drink when you're out.
If you have to deep clean your place, then buy some new home decor and it'll motivate you clean to be able to decorate your space.
Let's say maybe you have no required activity such as school or work that you actually have to do to get back onto schedule.
As I was saying, school and work are something that is an obligation to get back onto schedule with.
but maybe you have no obligation to get back onto routine, but you do want to get back
on to schedule for yourself.
This motivation to get back on routine may have been from the feeling that you're going
down the wrong path or you're feeling not your greatest.
Or maybe feel like you ultimately lost yourself and last year you were so much cuter,
last year you were making so much more money, last year you were feeling so much better
about yourself, and you wish you could be her again.
It's important to think to yourself.
It's okay.
I just forgot who I am and instead of saying to yourself that you lost yourself and you lost your progress and you'll never be you again, think to yourself, it's okay, I just forgot who I am.
Regardless of where you are in life, you can always, always become the person that you want to be and the person that yourself aims to be.
Another thing when getting back onto routine is to realize that it is essential to schedule properly.
I really encourage you to buy a planner that makes you excited to open every day.
But maybe that's something you don't want to do.
So just get a plain piece of paper and write your things with a pencil and a piece of paper, all your list of to-dos.
I used to keep it really fancy and have a really cute planner,
but I found that I was just planning way too much and actually having fun more writing of things I have to do
than actually doing any of the task.
So now I literally write with a plain piece of paper,
just everything I have to do.

Romanticize your schedule and your routine.
Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and just dread all my to-dos.
But once I see some inspo from Pinterest or inspo from old Victoria's secret vlogs
or just see something that motivates me, it makes my routine feel exciting.
If you have FOMO from having to do so much things to feeling like you,
feeling like you're missing out on other things, just letting you know, everyone else has
things to do as well. So just get it done, and once it's done, it's done. You have to have
discipline, but do not be overly hard on yourself. You want to have success and results from
consistency, not from quitting from feeling burnt out. So prioritize balance and start bouncing back
onto routine with one thing at a time because a little progress is better than no progress at all.
I know it can be hard, but once you start, you already achieved the hardest step.
I hope you guys enjoyed this episode, getting back onto routine and back to schedule, back to school, back to work, whatever you are wanting to get back onto.
I know it can be hard.
And I find it hard.
I have to do it myself.
But I promise you, once you find out a good rhythm of how you're going to approach the situation, of snapping back, making it exciting, making it motivating.
It will go smoothly and allow you to stay consistent and feel happy.
You want success from your routine.
Not to be burnt out.
Not to quit.
You want success.
And of course, that starts with get up and start.
Do not put something off another day.
Start one task today.
I really want to know what you guys are going to get back on to schedule with.
Please tag me listening to this episode and share what you're going to be getting back on track with.
I'm going to share what I am going to be getting back on track with.
back on track with, which is journaling in my five-minute journal. I missed one day and then all of a sudden
I missed a month. And that is not where I want to be. I really want to be journaling again because
that was something that gave me lots of peace and happiness. So I'm going to get back onto routine
with my journaling. Yes, I have other things to get back onto routine with, but I'm going to
start with journaling because we're taking one step at a time. I love you guys so much.
please feel free to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts to be featured on next week's episode.
Also, please make sure to tag both me, Jaden Haley, and Busy Yet Pretty to your story and TikTok so I can repost and see all the cute posts that you guys share.

I love you guys so, so much and do not forget to stay Busy at Pretty.
Thank you.
