Hello, my busy yet pretty dolls. Welcome back to the podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. I hope you all have
been doing lovely and having a great week. It's been really cold in California. Well, cold for California
weather and I'm freezing in the 60 degree weather. Okay, like 70 degree weather, but that's way too
cold for me. I am frigid. Hopefully you guys are staying warm. I know I have quite a bit about New York
audience, I know it's snowing there, so stay warm and your cute little moon boots and get your
little iced coffee. I don't know if anyone gets that reference, but I feel like there's been so many
TikToks of people saying that they live in New York in the middle of the night going to get their
iced coffee in their moon boots, which I think is so funny and something I would do for sure.
Okay, let's get started with the weekly review. So this week I went shopping at Victoria's Secret
to go look at their Valentine's Day line, which, oh my gosh, their Valentine's Day line is
to die for. I got the cutest little underwear and oh my gosh, they're so cute. They have little
hearts. Oh my gosh. I also got the cutest little off the shoulder sweatshirt, which I am obsessed
with. Oh, speaking of off the shoulder sweatshirts, that is also something I am obsessed with.
I am in love with off the shoulder tops. I have seen nobody wearing them at all.
all in the recent times and I've been wearing them every single day.
I just read off a current obsession but it's okay.
We'll go back to our weekly review.
Next, the South Coast Plaza in Orange County had me in for their Lunar New Year event,
which was so cute.
Did the prettiest setup and I got to eat lunch and of course Ryan came and we had this
little cute lunch at a little Paris bakery there and it was such a fun time.
This week I've also been so consistent on.
my workout routine, which has made me so happy. I think I crack the code why I've been so consistent.
The secret is, is a cute workout set, a pink yoga mat, and pink weights. That's literally the
secret. Like, I'm having the funest time working out when it just looks so cute. Okay,
current obsessions. If you listen to my last episode, I talked all about how I cannot
have any more coffee or any high-caffeinated drinks or my heart.
will literally be so fast and I'm so shaky, so I had to resort to decaf drinks or just
macha. I have found a new Starbucks drink that is decaf and I'm in love. It's the decaf ice
shake and espresso with oat milk with one pump of vanilla. It's amazing. I have gotten it every
day since last week. I cannot get over it. I'm not a sweet drink person so you can add like
more pumps of vanilla if you like it sweeter, but I love like the really strong, like,
espresso taste. So I have been obsessed with it and it's seriously amazing. Okay,
another one is lounge wear yoga pants. Like, I love loungewear right now. Any sort of yoga
pants in loungewear I am obsessed with. I've been wearing yoga pants every single day because
it's cold. The ones I get are from Victoria's Secret. Those are the ones that fit me the best. I
I have one from Brandy, but they're way too long on my legs, so I feel like the Victoria's Secret
ones fit me so much better at the ankles, and they're just so cute.
It's way too cold for tiny tops and miniskirts, so I have been living in my off-the-shoulder
sweatshirts and little yoga pants.
Oh, also, my ugs.
I love my ugg boots right now.
I have had the same ugg boots since sixth grade.
If you watch one of my recent TikToks, I chase my boyfriend around with the smell of my
ug boots in my feet.
The ugg boots smell awful.
Like I've had them since sixth grade.
I never wore them with socks and they smell so bad.
I'm getting a new pair soon.
Do not worry.
Also, if I get a new pair, though, the style of the ugs I have, it doesn't have the same tag
as the ones they sell now.
So they're hashtag vintage, basically.
And I kind of feel sad getting a new bag.
new pair not having it say ugg australia on it and just saying ugh but whatever they smell really bad
i have to get a new pair but for now i have been living in them they are so comfortable okay a goal of the
week one of my goals of the week is to drink more green juices that i like because green juices are
so good for you especially to start your day off after a workout i know celery juice is one of the best
and it's so good for your skin, so I need to start drinking more green juices.
Another thing is to start looking around more outside.
It's hard because I'm working 24-7 on my phone.
It's my job, so I have to constantly answer emails or be on my computer all the time.
But I want to start in car rides, not answering emails,
and just like looking outside and enjoying life around me.
I also would like to start gwashing again.
I've been off my guasha grind and I need to get back on it. I just have been so busy that I have not
been able to prioritize my time to guasha and that's a must. I would love to start getting back
on guashering. I just started stretching today after and before my workouts and it feels so much
better because I've had so much neck and back pain after my workouts and I feel like it'll improve so
much if I start stretching. So I love to start doing some more yoga and stretching to loosen up my
muscles. Okay, a quote from the five minute journal. If you see something beautiful in someone, speak it.
I love that one so much. It's so true. Anytime I think of a compliment, I'll see a girl's hair.
I'm like, oh my gosh, your hair is so cute. I'll think it. I'm like, oh my gosh, like, let me go
tell her. That can make her so happy. I always take the extra step to compliment someone. I wanted to say
one more quote from my five-minute journal because I love this one as well. Leave a positive review
on a product or a business that has changed your life for the better. I never realized how much
ratings and review actually mean to someone since I have started this podcast. When I started
the most sweetest positive ratings and reviews. I was just so happy. It really opened my eyes
to seeing how it just takes two minutes at most to leave a quick review and a rating for a small
business that could definitely use it. I have been loving to leave reviews on products and
places that I enjoy to really help out the business. I am just so thankful for everyone who leaves
reviews. Like it truly means the world. You can leave a rating over Spotify and
And it takes actually one second.
It's two clicks.
And then over Apple, feel free to rate and leave a little review.
And I always read those and they make my day.
So thank you guys so much if you leave one.
I truly appreciate it.
Okay, I self-love a question to ask yourself.
What mistake of mine taught me the most recently?
What did it teach me?
I love that one because self-reflection is key, so smart for growing.
and I think you should pause this and journal that question.
Okay, getting into today's episode.
I want to address a topic that I know most of us are going through,
especially during these cold winter days,
which is how to get out of a slump in the winter blues.
It's so normal to revert back to old habits and getting back into a slump,
especially during these times and COVID and having to stay home.
It's cold out for most of you guys,
so I think you'd be the most perfect topic to talk about today.
Today's episode is going to be all on how to get out of a slump in the winter blues.
All these tools I'm going to talk about in this episode, I personally use myself whenever I begin to feel unmotivated, lazy, PMSing, which I am PMSing so hard this week.
I start my period in like two days, so I am just waiting for when it starts and then the world is better and I love my life and I'm just the best person.
in the world again, but no, truly, IPMS so hard, but all these tools can help when going through
a lazy, unmotivated, PMS-E, winter blues slump time. So these tools have truly helped me and
allowed me to bounce back. Before I begin explaining these rules, keep in mind you will never be
quote, ready. You have to physically do something to mentally accept it. We idolize thought and
to action, like getting up really early. Let's say you want to get up by 5 a.m. one day.
Your alarm clock's going to go off at 4.45. You wake up and you're like, oh, I want to go back to
bed. There's no point of me waking up right now. It's too cold right now. I'll do it tomorrow.
You turn the alarm off and you go back to bed. We have the idea but aren't actually ready to implement
those changes yet, where sometimes we need to do action to thought method, where you physically
force yourself to do something until you finally accept those changes and habits. Okay, this is really
weird, but in the morning, if I need to get up to do something and need to wake up by a certain time,
I will literally be so tired, but I will like jump my body up from bed, like right away. Like, it's a
five second thing. I'm like, okay, five, four, three, two, one, I jump my body up and I am up and
ready. It's like action over thought sometimes. Even though we want to get up, we're going to put
excuses in our head. If you have not listened to Mel Robbins' five second rule, you should listen to it
over YouTube. It's so good. And that's the method I use to get up right away and to implement healthy
habits in general. You have to put the action before the thought sometimes because most often we're
never, quote, ready to do something. But without further ado, let's get straight.
into the episode sexy. The first way to start feeling fresh and a good reset is to deep clean your
room. Dedicate a few hours every day to find things to donate around your room and to get rid of,
throw away because when you become minimal with the things you have, which is really hard to say
because I am a big hoarder, but when you start to become a minimalist with the things you have,
it's such a load off your shoulders. Having less stuff will make you feel.
better and that coming from me is really stupid and hypocritical because I hoard everything.
Literally I have everything in my room and I can't get myself to get rid of stuff but this
new year I did a huge clean on my room and got rid of a ton of stuff and donated a lot of stuff.
It honestly made me feel so good and such a nice reset.
Clean dust around your room, wipe your mirrors, put new fresh sheets on your bed and reward
yourself by getting yourself some flowers to put in your new clean room. That always feels so good.
I love to do a really deep, nice clean, and then having it spotless, and then I'll go to Trader Joe's
and pick up a bouquet of flowers from me to me. It feels so nice to have a clean room, and it's so much
easier and accessible to get things in your room, and it just feels like a breath of fresh
air when you don't have to worry about it. Next, buy some healthy, nice,
shower skincare essentials.
I love having nice, healthy, organic soaps.
Some of my favorite are native products.
I love native.
I love Necessare.
I have so many shower beauty skincare recommendations.
In a few episodes back, if you'd like to go check that out, it's under the Holy Grail
Beauty Essential.
It's such a reward to have a nice shower at the end of the day or beginning of the day,
whenever you like to take your showers.
Next, begin gratitude.
Start being grateful for what you have and what you have coming in the future.
I am always thanking the universe for everything I have in my life and am going to have.
Even if you don't have it yet, be thankful for it.
It allows your mind to feel like you have it and actually manifest that thing.
Write down your gratitude.
I write mine in the journal.
Sometimes I go in a hot girl walk and will just speak out loud of what I'm thankful for.
and that's one of my favorite things to do as well.
Go in a nice walk, get your body moving, look outside, don't go on your phone, say what you're
thankful for, and all the gratitude for what you have in your life.
Another thing that I do that is super important in gratitude is my five-minute journal.
You can do the five-minute journal prompts inside your own journal, but I have the five-minute
journal that I do three questions every morning and two questions at night every single day.
I've done it every single day since January 1st, and I'm going to be doing it until the end of the year,
and I'm so proud of myself, have not skipped a day or night, and it's so rewarding to actually be able to list what will make your day great
and what you're thankful for and what the highlights of your day was.
I think it's just so nice to be mindful of gratitude in your life.
Okay, another thing, don't feel guilty about investing some money into transitioning out of your slump.
I have a hard time spending money.
I love to save.
I think it's always better at the end of the day to save than spend.
But sometimes it's better to spend some money to invest in transitioning out of your slump.
It's okay to spend some money on new clothes, new skincare, new nails, new sleepwear.
Whatever it is, don't feel guilty about spending money on those things because those little things you invest in are making you happy at the end of the day.
So what is it? It's 100% worth it, right?
You're going to get that money back in the future, so it doesn't matter.
But right now, prioritize getting out of the slump, living a happy, healthy lifestyle, and if getting
your nails done and buying really expensive skincare products are what's going to do the job, then
do it, invest in it.
It will excite you about getting out of bed, having a skincare routine to do every day.
And that's something that I never feel guilty for.
Retail therapy is a thing. Don't get me wrong. I don't do it all the time. I'm sad or PMSing.
But treat yourself once in a while. Get new clothes. Get new skincare. Get your nails done. Whatever it is,
I promise you that money is going to come back to you. So enjoy the money you have now by spending
on investing in happiness in yourself right now. Next, start a new routine. I cannot stress this enough.
routines are so important and it allows you to look forward to your day. I have a set routine. I wake up,
I do my five minute journal and then I get up, I brush my teeth, I go put all my yoga clothes
that I laid out the night before, I go out to the living room, I work out, I do my skincare,
and then I eat my breakfast. That's my morning routine. I have a set and I do it every single day.
Sometimes I change it up to get a variety throughout the week, but having a routine,
is so nice to look forward to.
Wake up and list three things that would make today great
and what you're grateful for.
The five-minute journal is seriously so necessary
and I promise it will feel so rewarding
to do it every single morning.
It makes you have a positive mindset going into the day.
This is a topic I am so passionate about
and my mom actually taught me this.
If you have schoolwork or work to do
and you're at home doing it or self-employed,
Get up from your bed, get dressed, and sit at a table and do your work, or a coffee shop to do your work.
Do not sit in bed, especially with your pajamas on.
You need to get up and actually go do your work sitting somewhere.
Then at the end of the day, you've been already sitting in your bed all day long, and then you're going to bed already, and you've been nowhere else but your bed.
I was homeschooled all throughout middle school and most of high school.
So I used to, of course, in middle school, be like, oh, let me do.
my homework in my bed, that'd be fun. My mom's like, no, like, get up, do it at the kitchen table.
It totally taught me to carry on that habit, and I now would never actually sit at my bed and do it
unless I'm sick or something because I feel so much more tuned in and focused when sitting at a desk.
If you're sitting in bed doing your work, you are going to feel somewhat tired. And doing your work
outside of your bed will allow you to value the comfort of your bed. Imagine after working a long
day at a cafe and then coming home, eating dinner, taking your shower, doing your skincare, and then
sinking into the comfort of your bed at the end of the day. You feel so much more productive and
accomplish your work from working out of bed in a different environment. Another thing is,
is drink more water. I am so passionate about drinking water. I cannot leave the house or be
anywhere without a water bottle or a tumbler full of water by my side. I drink water 24-7.
which is why I think my skin is pretty hydrated, but buy a tumbler off of Amazon.
Water is just so important.
It's good for your body and for your skin and for your health.
Also, eat three meals a day and snacks.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
I am not a breakfast or meal skipper, I eat every single meal and so many snacks throughout the day
that are going to energize me and allow me to feel awake and productive.
to get my work done. Also, try to eat as many foods as you can to get natural vitamins from food.
Next, you need a full night's rest. 7 to 8 hours is great. No need for more, no need for less,
whatever you can. Around that time is perfect. I used to be a 4-hour sleeper. I would literally
go to bed late and wake up super early. I always make sure I get my 8 hours of rest in. I go to bed
so early and I wake up early too and it energizes me for the next day. Back on the topics of
routines, establish a good routine that you can stick to. Every day, incorporate one more thing
into your routine that is a healthy habit you'd like to implement into your life. Don't expect to
remember or have a perfect routine all the time. It takes 21 days to form a habit. Don't worry,
it takes time, but having a routine to stick by is so important.
Another thing is spend time off your phone as much as you can.
Enjoy experiences around you.
We truly remember real life things more than anything that we've seen on our phone.
So I really encourage looking around, go to a concert, enjoy a coffee, go to a cafe, take a
day trip somewhere to your nearest city, go have little adventures that are things that you
can remember and even journal about.
Something that I do in my everyday routine is listen to.
to motivational podcasts and videos. Start your day off on a positive note by listening to a podcast or a video
whatever is going to serve you right. I love to listen to any positive thinking, positive mindset,
wellness, podcasts or videos. It's like the 80-20 rule. 20% of your day is your morning and that 20%
is so valuable and it's the most important thing which is going to shape the 80% of your day.
If you don't know what the 80-20 rule is, I just made an episode.
about that last week, so go check that out. And I think it's very important as well about learning
80-20 when getting out of a slum. I personally love working out in the morning and getting my body
to be awake and moving. So if you can, wake up in the morning, do a little workout or take a little
walk. And I feel that really just shapes my day because I feel awake, I feel motivated, I feel healthy,
I feel happy and any form of exercise is great.
Next is read off some affirmations and apply them to your life.
I love reading affirmations.
I have a board on Pinterest that I read them off all the time.
If you need some affirmation info, go check out my affirmations board,
which is under the user Jaden Haley with two eyes at the end.
Okay, something I am so passionate about,
which most of you know if you're from my Instagram,
but it's to read the secret by,
Ron DeBrine. I will speak more manifestation in a future episode. It truly is the best eye-opener for your life.
Your mindset will be so positively shaped by this book. So please read the secret. It's so amazing.
Get excited about your future. Make a Pinterest board. Start visioning what you want in your future.
It will motivate you and excite you to achieve your goals and ambitions. And I promise,
it makes you feel so happy and motivated to get up and go achieve your goals.
go on Pinterest and I swear for the time being I'm on it, it gets me so motivated and revamped,
ready to achieve my goals. Something that is super important as well is reward yourself every day
with something to look forward to. My thing is my iced shaken espresso. I almost like going to
Starbucks more than actually drinking the Starbucks, if that makes sense. I love the act of going to
Starbucks almost more than the drink. Okay, I love the drink though. Have something throughout your day
to look forward to. So if a coffee is something you're going to look forward to or
matcha, then you can start your day at fright and get a ton of work done, but in the back of
your mind, you know you're going to have your matcha at the end of the day. So work hard and
then reward yourself with that and it'll allow you to keep going and achieving the task you
need to get done. Those are really valuable tips that I use myself to get out of a slump
and the winter blues. I hope you all realize this is a process.
Don't expect to have a perfect routine and have everything going great.
The first week of trying this, slowly implement these steps into your life,
and I promise you you will start to feel better and have a happier, healthy, and motivated life.
I asked you guys over my Instagram story, what is the best things that I've happened to you this week?
I'm going to read some of my favorite replies off to you guys anonymously, so here we go.

thing to do. Another person said, acknowledging my growth and accomplishments. That is so amazing.
Acknowledging your growth and accomplishments are so important and is so motivational to keep going,
and I just love that so much. Another person said getting rid of half of my wardrobe so I can
start fresh. Okay, girl, I want to do that too, but I have a hard time getting rid of it.
Like, I'm like, oh, I want to start fresh, but can I keep the wardrobe I have now?
Because I don't want to get rid of it.
You go, girl, that's amazing and good for you.
I'm going to pick one last reply.
Getting coffee with my friends after school to get work done helps me stay motivated.
I love that one.
Coffee breaks, especially with friends, are just so nice.
