Hello my loves, welcome back to the busy yet pretty podcast.
I'm your host, Jaden Haley.
I'm looking so forward to this episode because this is something that I incorporated into
my life a few years ago and it truly shifted my mindset for the better so I'm so excited
to share this episode with you guys.
Without further ado, let's get into today's weekly review.
This week I've been really trying to prioritize enjoying summer.
It blows me away how I just feel like I was recording episodes about it transitioning to
summer and the fact that summer is flying by and fall just around the corner blows me away so i really
just want to soak in all these summer days and just taking it slow and just really prioritizing having
a balanced schedule i realize how much balance really does help me when i stay on task of everything i need to do
yet incorporate balance into my routine i see the biggest difference in how much i get done and being
productive and just my overall mood. It's crazy how when you incorporate self-care and balance into your
routine, you accomplish more by doing less. Another thing this week is I got a facial done with my mom,
which was so fun. I literally love a little facial Friday, and it was so relaxing and my skin needed it
so, so much. Along with the facial, I got lymphatic drainage, which was so nice. If you haven't
gotten a lymphatic drainage before. I swear you will absolutely love it. You need to try it. I know
it's a little pricey, but if you have the extra money and want to try to up your wellness game,
I really recommend getting a lymphatic drainage done or you can buy a lymphatic drainage tool,
which is literally $10 and do it to yourself at home, which is so nice. It makes me feel just so sculpted
and helps my digestive system so much. Buy a tool at home so you can do it yourself after your shower,
and it's just so nice.
I have it linked over my Amazon storefront
with the exact tool I use at home.
And lastly this week,
I just really have been trying to prep my mindset
and everything I want to do
for prepping for another year in L.A.
I cannot believe it's been almost a year
since I moved here.
I love that I brought you guys along for this journey
when I was saying,
I'm going to move to L.A.,
I'm going to do this,
and I made it happen.
And that just goes to show that
when you put your mind to something
and when you keep affirming it to yourself,
you will achieve it and you will get to that success.
So let my story be an example how you can go move any place that you want to move to
or achieve anything that you want once you put your mind to it and truly believe you can.
Moving on to my current obsession.
My current obsession is getting my steps in per day.
I truly notice the difference in my mood and my well-being when I actually prioritize my daily steps.
So I like to get around 10,000 a day, which is.
is about four miles, but if I'm really busy, I at least try to aim for two miles a day
and getting some movement in throughout the week, so maybe two Pilates class a week is really
nice and just helps my body feel so much more energized and really improves my mental health.
Another current obsession is locks bagels.
Something about some salmon on a nice fermented bagel tastes so divine.
Another crap session is working at cafes.
I just get so much more done when I'm working at cafes or
somewhere rather than home. Don't get me wrong, I love being home, but I really like to enjoy
home when I'm having my free time and doing my little hobbies, rather than actually doing work
where I feel more productive when I see other people working at cafes. So that is something
that I am currently obsessed with. Okay, another current obsession that I am beyond in love with is my
permanent bracelet. I got a permanent bracelet the other day at an event, and let me just say,
I will forever be wearing a permanent bracelet from now on because they are so, so cute.
And I love how you can wear it in the shower, so it doesn't feel like you have to take it off.
But I think it's pretty easy to actually do yourself.
But I am just beyond obsessed with permanent bracelets.
Lastly, my current obsession is coffee.
Decapped, of course.
But I have been loving coffee, which is very unlike me.
I'm a matre girl.
But something about an iced latte with honey is just,
the most divine, divine drink. Moving on to a goal of the week. My goal of the week right now is to have
a work reset to really prevent burnout. A lot of people have been recommending the artist way, which is
a book that can help prevent burnout. So I'm going to purchase that soon. But just having a nice
work reset, getting new supplies, clearing out my desk, that can really help me be more productive.
And another goal of the week is to do Pilates at least two times a week.
I swear when I do Pilates at least two times a week, my body feels so, so good.
And I just feel like a golden class girl.
Another goal of the week is to dry brush daily.
I see such an improvement in my skin, not having any little bumps when I actually dry brush
every day before my shower.
So that's something I want to do.
And lastly, schedule my last round of blood work.
I have another round of blood work that I have.
have to do and I am not happy about it. I'm really scared, but you know what, it's okay. It's for my
health and health is wealth. So I want to get that done. So I kind of figure out what is going on with
my hormones. Moving on to an affirmation. I am exactly where I am meant to be in my life.
And exciting news awaits. I love that affirmation so much because it is so true where you are
in life, you are exactly where you need to be. And just affirm to yourself that some exciting
news is awaiting for you. Next step is a self-love question to ask yourself. How can I handle
situations better to help my energy? I love that question so much because it is really important to
acknowledge how we react to situations to protect our energy when a situation happens instead of
getting all irrational and saying things you don't mean and instead protect your energy and
try to calm the situation. Moving on to a podcast review. This review is from Save.
and Sage said, Jaden, this podcast is stunning, and the more I listen, the more I fall in love with the podcast.
I listen to at least two episodes on my self-care days. It's on my quote, self-care day to-do list.
Your podcast has really changed my perspective on a lot of different ideals and standards I had,
pushing me to really take care of myself and really reevaluate my mindset. I appreciate the hard work
that you put in the podcast, and I appreciate the way you hold yourself to others. Love Sage.
Sage, let me just say that review made me smile so hard.
I am just so grateful to hear that it's on your self-care to-do list.
I record these episodes in pure love to show you guys that you guys matter so much in this world
and you need to start taking care of yourself and there's so much out there for you
and to hear that the podcast has made such a difference to you makes me so beyond happy.
Thank you so much for your kind review and if you want to be featured on next week's episode,
please feel free to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts.
Without further ado, let's get into today's episode.
We are going to talk about something that means so, so much to me.
And something that I really feel can help you guys in your life,
whether it comes to decisions you're making,
how you carry yourself and how you live your everyday life,
which is you need to impress two people in your life,
your 8-year-old self and your 80-year-old self.
We forget how fast that time goes,
and we begin to care too much about what other.
think, we stress too much, and honestly, we don't live truly for ourselves. Or for instance,
we may be something that feels good temporarily, but may not be good for us in the end. I've noticed
a huge positive shift in how I live my life once I began incorporating this role into my life,
which is you must live for two people, eight-year-old you and 80-year-old you. I think our youngest
and older self are so unbelievably similar, even though their age is completely
opposite. I feel whatever age you are now, you are outnumbered by your two other versions of you,
which is your eight and eight year old self, because they are so much more similar than you think.
I like to think that the early teen years going into adult life, adult life, and later adult life,
where we can become actually so lost on how we view the world, how we view ourself and how we view
our own life, and how the world really works. Your younger self freely imagined that you could
anything, be anyone, and live the life that you wanted before you were quote hit with reality.
When you were younger, you had no shame and dressing up, running around, there was just no
embarrassment in sight. So think about that. Think about your younger self right now. What was the
mindset going through her? You had no fear of anything except the fear of losing your Barbies.
Because in your mind, you truly could do anything and be anyone. Then you got old.
and you were kind of told by society that you can't be this, you can't be that, you can't have that,
you can't live that lifestyle, and you begin to actually let go of all your dreams that you had.
Or you've become so self-aware and begin to value other people's opinions over yours.
And don't be ashamed, literally admit to yourself that, yeah, okay, maybe I do care about what other people
think too much.
Or maybe you're scared to fail.
The first step is admitting to yourself.
Now I want you to skip to yourself at 80 years old where you're in your sharpest mindset and you actually realize that nobody actually cared what you were doing.
There was nothing to be scared of.
There was nothing to be embarrassed about.
And life truly moved way faster than you thought.
When it comes to your dreams and your goals, we shoot high in the beginning.
Like, as I was saying when we were kids, saying that we could be an astronaut, a doctor, travel the world.
We shoot so high and have so many dreams in the beginning of life,
but when we actually begin to grow older into our teens and young adults,
we let society bring us to, quote, reality,
and truly begin to think that we can never do any of those things.
You need to realize that you are scared to try.
You were scared to fail,
and you're scared of what other people are going to think of you.
Because other than that, what's holding you back?
one in those three reasons or maybe all three is something that could be holding you back right now from living the life that you want you are losing before you even try think about that if you were too scared to try out for the cheer team okay so you're not going to do it you're giving yourself a no before even trying and possibly getting it or possibly being told no whatever the answer is is meant for your life okay you got the
courage to try out for the cheer team. You try out. They say no. Okay, at least you tried and guess what?
That no was not a no to life. It's a no for this opportunity because you're going to be redirected
to the right thing for you. It's time to get over any fear that you have or embarrassment that you may
have. Think about this. When you're older on your deathbed, how awful would it be to wonder to
yourself? What if I had just tried? What if I had just tried and you know what, maybe things had worked
out? Regret will eat you up more than any fail or rejection that you may have in your life.
You cannot go back in time. Life moves so fast and in a matter of time, we will one day have our last
day. Hopefully very long from now, of course, but one day we will have our last day. But how awful
would it be to think to yourself, gosh, this is my last day.
What if I had just tried to go for that job?
What if I just asked?
What if I just put in the work?
What if I just tried?
Regret is the most worst thing that you could ever experience from yourself.
Regret of not trying.
Start living for your younger and older self.
Start viewing any opportunity, any job, any life, as easy and accessible as you did when you were younger.
When you were eight, I'm sure living in a mansion was simple to you.
I'm sure when you were eight, being an astronaut, being a doctor, traveling the world,
seems simple to achieve.
So what changed?
What changed from then to now?
Fear of what people are going to think of you?
Fear of failing?
Fear of the unknown?
Don't let fear overrule your life.
Regret hurts more than any fear that you can think of.
Try and go for all of your dreams because you need to live life carelessly, okay?
Live life careless of other people's opinions and live life for you.
Living life for your 80-year-old self will only allow you to never hold back knowing that
the ticket to regret costs more than any ticket of failing.
You can't deny it, I know we all have been scrolling on social media and listening to
so-called experts, putting in way too much
and knowledge that isn't 100% credible,
or trying out a ton of different supplements that may not even be right for you
because your almond mom recommended it.
You cannot deny it, and it's okay, we've all been there.
You listen to all these health-obsessed folks,
but once the last time you went to an actual good doctor
with real medical experience and a stethoscope.

you are on earth for you there should be no rearranging life plans because your parents opinions or your
opinions or the media or society, no. You need to be your biggest believer and you will succeed
when you don't give up on yourself. There is so much out there for you. So why are you sabotaging
the life that you could be living? Just because of the fear of embarrassment or it not working out
or your friends are going to think. When I was in high school, I loved watching YouTubers,
the Victoria's Secret models, and it inspired me to start my own YouTube.
channel and to start my own Instagram. I began posting videos of makeup content, room decor, fashion,
and long behold, my videos were being played in class in front of the class, people laughing,
people were showing it at lunch to each other. Mind you, I was the shyest kid at school and would not
even raise my hand. As embarrassed as I was, I didn't let that hold me back from continuing.
I loved recording videos, I loved making videos, I had probably 15 subscribers and a little over
a thousand followers. I was no influencer yet, had no audience, but every day I would record a video
once I got home from school, I believed that I did, I believed in myself, and I didn't let those
people's opinions and thoughts get to me. All that time in high school is gone. To be quite honest,
I can't even remember their names.
I actually do, but I choose not to.
But you get the point.
But I literally chose not to listen to them.
And now I am attending events every day from my favorite brands, working with some of my favorite brands.
And most of all gathered the most beautiful audience what I had been looking for who related to me and who I could inspire.
and pushing through all their negativity, leading me to getting hundreds of DMs a week,
saying how much that the podcast has helped you and how much I inspire you,
makes every single bit of those hard times worth it.
This goes to show that when you believe in yourself, things will work out.
Do not listen to outside sources, okay?
Don't take criticism from people you would not take advice from.
Play that back in your head.
do not take criticism from people you would not take advice from.
I chose not to take that criticism and guess what?
Those people who are making fun of me, who are rude, follow me, listen to the podcast,
DM me how my podcast inspired them, DM me how they want to hang out.
Babe, I don't know you anymore.
You were not nice to me.
You made fun of me when I was shy, nice, and allowed people to walk on me.
before having followers, before having an audience, before the podcast, before anything.
Yet, you reach out now that I have things going for me?
Sorry, babe.
That's not how it works.
There's the door.
Bye.
Kisses.
Okay.
Next.
Now I am trying to put my focus on helping my golden girls listening to this podcast,
not allow people like them to ruin your dreams, to ruin your life,
and hold you back from your dreams.
