Hello, my dolls. Welcome to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. If you are new here, welcome. I am so excited to start this amazing wellness journey with you. On this show, I talk all about wellness, beauty, self-care, self-love, and fashion, just like we're going to do in today's episode. So without further ado, let's get into today's weekly review. This week, I truly had the best New Year's reset. And even though it's not January 1st right now, it does not matter. You'd have to be a week. You'd
have a reset anytime. Whenever you decide to start fresh and have a good reset, it will feel so
rewarding. It does not need to be January 1st, the beginning of the year, or the first of a month.
So having that new year reset was just so helpful. I really recommend you do that as well.
I really just had an intense organizing session and cleaning. It truly was so rewarding.
Another thing this week is I have been prioritizing my mental health a lot.
This new year, I really want to be mindful of everything in and out, just like today's episode.
And something that is so in is prioritizing your mental health.
And let me tell you, this week has been one of the most productive weeks I've had in so long,
all because I took the time to prioritize my mental health.
Another thing this week is I have been trying to possibly upgrade to a new better space,
which will be really exciting for the new year.
Now moving on to the current obsessions.
My current obsession is gazpacho.
It is my favorite.
Definitely my favorite food.
It's like a really healthy, cold soup to describe it.
I'm not the best at describing it.
But I truly just love that dish.
It is so, so divine.
Another current obsession right now is prioritizing my schedule and following it.
It can be so easy to write down lots of tasks or write down a schedule
and completely just trashing it and not following it at all.
So I've been being really conscious of my schedule,
and it's helped me so much following it and staying according to plan.
Another current obsession right now is morning and evening meditation.
I used to make meditating so complicated,
and just doing it for a few minutes every morning and evening has been such a game changer.
Lastly, another current obsession is having a minimal lifestyle.
It truly just improves your mental health and allows,
you to be more productive when you have less clutter in your space.
And so far, I'm really enjoying it.
Still working on it since I am a hoarder.
I'm not going to lie.
I love stuff.
But I think it's just so important to declutter and not hold on to things that don't serve
you anymore or you don't use.
Now, moving on to the goal of the week.
One of my goals is to continue decluttering, as I said, it's been so helpful for me.
Another goal of the week is to try using more loose leaf tea,
rather than tea bags. I truly love the art of tea and taking time on something so simple as a drink.
So I definitely want to get more into that. Another goal of the week is to get in bed earlier.
It's very common for all of us to get back from the holiday break, having really bad sleep schedules
because we were staying up really late and waking up really late. So definitely trying to fix my
sleep schedule to get completely on track is the goal. Lastly, I'd like to start gwash-eyeing in the
morning. Taking a few moments to just squash in the morning to depuff my face is another goal for me.
Moving on to the affirmation. I am more than motivated for the new year. I really recommend
journaling that affirmation and really affirm it to yourself. Moving on to the self-love question.
How are you showing up for yourself this new year? I love that question so much. I really recommend
journaling it and truly ask yourself, how are you showing up for yourself this year or how do you
plan to show up for yourself this year. Now on to the challenge of the week, take time to meditate
for a few minutes every morning and evening. You will be surprised how much meditating can really improve
your mental health and your overall mood, so I really recommend you try this. Lastly, is a podcast
review. This review says, Busy Yet Pretty has encouraged me to chase my dreams and live life to the
fullest and healthiest. After a depressing period in my life where I really struggled with
bullying and other main stressors, I was totally missing that component to inspire me.
Jaden is not only such a sweetheart, but has really become a role model to me.
As someone who shares a similar style to Jaden, I was immediately in love with their fashion
tips and smart shopping style. Also, hello, Jaden is literally the woman of our generation.
She's intelligent, business savvy, and the role model our generation of girls need.

Now, without further ado, let's get into today's episode.
So as you guys know, you probably have heard of the new trend that is the ins and out of the new
year? To be honest, I think it is a stunning trend because it allows you to be mindful of what you
want to allow into your life and what you don't want to allow in your life. In this episode, we're going
to talk about the new year ins and outs. Collectively, we are all going to out the negative and
in the positive, but seriously this time, it's easy for us to say we're going to do something but
not actually take action, but really at the end of the day, it's the action that counts. What you allow
in your life will be a part of shaping your life. What you don't allow in your life will also be a part of
shaping your life. Do not make this just another year, okay? This is a new year, a fresh start for you.
Make this year life changing. Don't make it last year. Don't make it the year it was three years ago.
Make this the brand new year that changes your life. What you do and don't allow in your life
will be different than what I allow and don't allow in my life.
Your ins and outs are going to be different than mine,
and your friends' ins and outs are going to be different than yours.
Our ins and outs will differ from each other
because we all want and need different things in our life.
So do not base somebody's ins and out on yours,
and do not base yours on somebody else.
Be confident and proud of your ins and outs,
regardless if it matches somebody else's.
We all need different things in our life.
That's what makes it your own life and their own life.
So with that being said, let's begin with the outs.
What shall we remove this new fresh year?
As I said, a very easy one, we are outing negativity.
We are only going to prioritize having a positive mindset.
Negativity does nothing but pull us down.
I have many episodes on mindset and positive mindset and thinking that you can listen on.
And I promise you, once you see the difference you have in your life when you begin thinking positive,
it will become a subconscious routine for you to only think positive.
Another out this year is following people just because.
If you follow someone that you see on your For You page or follow someone you see on your Explore page,
just because their body, or you start comparing yourself to them,
or you follow them because they have a drama account, why do you follow them?
Ask yourself, why do you follow them?
follow the people you do. You need to start being mindful of who you follow and who you allow yourself
to see every single day when you open social media. What you consume will greatly or negatively
affect you and impact you with your mood, health, everything. Another out is prioritizing work
before your mental health. Same goes for school. When you prioritize your mental health and actually
take time to enjoy your life, you will perform a hundred times better and work.
in school. It's like the saying when you love yourself first, you can love somebody else.
The same goes for if you work on yourself, you can work harder on other things.
When you begin taking time for yourself, it will show in your work and your productivity
on other things how much better that you can work since you've taken time for yourself.
Another out this year is eating out every night. It is time to save money, better your health,
and allow yourself to be more hands-on away from your phone.
I think cooking and being able to be in the kitchen
without your phone doing some hands-on activity is so important.
It allows us to detach and really just be with ourselves
and being fully occupied by cooking.
Another out is staying up mindlessly scrolling late at night.
There is not one benefit for doing that.
There's not one benefit, okay?
Blue light is not good for you, especially at night.
consuming that much content all at once right before you go to bed is not good. And most importantly,
scrolling endlessly at night right before you go to bed is going to ruin your sleep schedule.
It makes it harder for us to put our phone down and to go to bed and we end up going to bed really
late and waking up really late. If you want to scroll on your phone and have time to look on
social media or going your phone, then schedule out that time way before you want to go to bed.
Another out is dieting. It is time to start eating to whatever works best for you, not following the latest diet trend or doing the diet that your friend is doing. No. Your diet should consist of whatever works best for you. It's time to practice intuitive eating and eating according to how your body wants and your soul craves. Another important out is saying yes to things that you don't actually want to do instead of just saying no.
It's easy to deal with it and just agree and say yes, but that is taking the easy way out and not prioritizing yourself.
Saying yes to something that you don't want to do is putting yourself less.
Another out is gossiping and talking negatively of others.
Honestly, I don't care how much you hate someone.
Do not talk about them.
If you hate them so much, then don't give them the space in your mind to think about them
and don't give the energy and time to talk about them.
And most importantly, talk about somebody to others as if that person is listening.
It doesn't matter how bad of a person they are, how rude they are.
Don't talk about them and live in positivity.
Positivity always outweighs negativity.
If they're a negative person, they will receive that negativity back.
Do not worry about that.
You don't have to try to make their life bad just because they hurt you.
Let me tell you what they put out into the world and to others, they will receive.
back. So if you begin to talk bad about them, you're going to be getting more negativity brought to you.
Instead, talk positively about your life, talk positively about others, and you will receive that
positivity back. Do not waste time talking negatively on somebody that you don't even care about.
Another out is procrastination. Procrastinating only hurts you in the end. So it's as simple as that.
We are booting out procrastination this year. Do not walk out.
into this new year with excuses. Procrastination is your worst enemy. A day of procrastination is a day
further away from your dream life. Another out is being okay with the bare minimum and settling less
further than what you deserve. You need to know your worth. Okay, that goes for relationships,
work, friendships, everything in life, you get what you believe you deserve. If there's an
opportunity or a person or a friend right in front of you,
trying to give you this opportunity to be your friend, be your boyfriend, give you this job.
Think to yourself. Is this what you deserve? If you deserve more, do not settle. Do not accept the bare minimum.
If your new boyfriend is barely showing the time of day to you, oh my, no, no, he's done. He is done. Get him out of here.
Don't even spend another thought on him. Get him out. He is not for you.
There's somebody a thousand times better for you out there who will be begging on their knees for you, bringing you flowers every day, and showing their love to you.
Same goes for a friendship.
If your friend is barely showing up for you, canceling plans all the time, and not being there for you, nope, they're done.
Leave them in the past.
Leave them for 2023 because this is a new year where you are providing for yourself and you know your worth.
Another out this year is overbooking.
Overbooking is not sexy and it increases your stress.
Have balance and be mindful while scheduling.
Another out is laying in bed all day every day.
Key word.
Every day.
Some days are great.
Some days we need to just lay in bed and that can be so productive for our health and our mental health, everything.
Overall, some days we just need to lay in bed.
but if that is your every single day, that will begin to cause depression, sleep problems,
and promote lack of motivation.
Laying in bed all day, some days are great, but not every day.
Another out is getting frustrated over the little things.
You live once.
So why are you getting frustrated over a stranger who flipped you off while driving?
They mean nothing to you.
Move on.
Find something positive to do with your life.
Do not get hung up on the little things that do not matter.
It is not worth ruining your day for something so minuscule that does not matter.
Moving on to our ends, what are you planning on bringing in this new year?
And let me just say, it better I'll be positive.
Be mindful of what you bring into this new year and bring into your life because that
will be a way of shaping your life and who you are.
One of my favorite ends that I'm bringing in this new year is being,
uncomfortable. I love to be uncomfortable and you should love being uncomfortable. That sounds really
weird. You must think to yourself, why would I want to be uncomfortable? But let me tell you,
you will only grow if you are uncomfortable. To allow yourself to become your dream self,
have your dream life. You have to be uncomfortable. If you are always comfortable,
you will stay still and never grow. Another in is proper sleep schedule. Your morning always
begins with your night. What I mean by that is if you are having a bad morning when you wake up,
what was your night routine? What went on the night before? If you want to wake up feeling energized,
happy, early, then you need to go to bed early, have a good night routine and that will set you
up for success the next morning. It's coming up almost two years since I started this podcast.

Moving on to another important inn is meditating.
As I said, meditating has been something that I personally have seen such an impact on, and just don't think too hard about it.
Spend a few minutes every morning and evening listening to a meditation guide, and I promise you, it does such wonders on your day.
Another in is dewy makeup, a dewy makeup look and a fresh face look.
It's just so beautiful and looks so stunning on everyone.
Another in is magnesium.
magnesium is my favorite supplement I've ever taken in my life. It has improved my sleep,
energy, and mood so much. It's insane. I truly recommend it and that is just a total in supplement
this new year. Another in is journaling. Journaling does not need to be complicated. You don't have to
write a full three pages or even a full page. Journaling can just be a few sentences and it can
really help you be mindful and again be hands-on with something.

classy, so chic, and a two-tone look is just luxurious. Definitely an end for this new year.
Morning movement. Morning movement is something that I feel starts everybody's day off on a positive
note and leaves you so energized for the day. I really think that morning movement is such a good
in to have this new year. Like I said, a friend
fresh face look is so beautiful and it's time for you to embrace your natural look. You are not supposed to look like anybody else. You are you for a reason. You were given your looks, your face, your body for a reason. Okay? Stop comparing yourself. Comparison is out. Embracing yourself is in. If you feel that your look is boring or ugly, it's because you've seen yourself more than anybody else has seen you in your life. You look at yourself in the
more than anybody else looks at you.
You know you better than anyone else.
It can become easy to forget our beauty
when we keep seeing yourself over and over.
You know when you've had that perfect dessert
and then you start having it every single night
and then all of a sudden it loses its spark,
it's because you've gotten used to it.
And you need to take that dessert away for a little bit
to then one day have it again,
remember how good it is and get that spark back.
Same with yourself.
Stop looking at yourself in the mirror, picking yourself apart, okay?
You need to look at it in a new lens.
Take yourself away from that negative energy on how you view yourself and start viewing
yourself in a positive different lens.
I promise you your beauty will always be recognized when you display confidence.

or the place that you've been wanting to go to?
Go take yourself.
Stop waiting on someone else to do the work for you.
Do it for yourself.
Provide for yourself.
You deserve it.
So go take action.
That creates such a beautiful relationship with yourself
and knowing that you can provide as much as you want
and you can provide anything for yourself.
I am all about solo dates,
so I really recommend you start going on some this new year.
Another inn this year is downtime to unwind at night.
I think it's so important to stay away from your phone
and be present with yourself.
This is your time to wind down
and really just calm down, be with yourself, and detach from the stress that you've had that day.
Another sexy new year in is walking.
I love walking and I feel like we all love just a hot girl, wellness, busy, yet pretty golden girl, stunning walk.
I will describe a walk with many adjectives as much as it gets you to take one.
We all love a good run, but walking can be so therapeutic and gentle on your body.
Another in is acts of service for others.
It's so important to consciously share your love and positivity to others.
One compliment can go such a far away for somebody.
Another thing is matching PJ sets.
I am someone who loves a good matching PJ set.
I feel like we all do.
It just makes you feel so good, so luxurious and clean.
You don't have to have a million different sets.
Just go buy one that you can wear and just feel so good in.
one that allows you to make you feel excited to get into bed, feel cute, and excited to do your evening self-care routine.
Another in is creating a routine that is meant for you.
It's easy to base our routines while creating them on others and what other people's routines are,
but it's so necessary and important to look back and reflect on ourselves and see what do we need in a routine and what works for ourselves.
So what works best for you?
Ask yourself and create your routine based off of your own needs.
Lastly, one of my favorite ends for this year is showing love to yourself.
Start showing love for the person who shows up for you every single day.
You wake yourself up in the morning.
You go to bed.
You take care of yourself.
Start showing love.
You know how to do so much in this world.
You maintain stressful times.
You've achieved so much.
You've overcome so many hardships.
So be proud of yourself and congratulate yourself for where you are right now and give yourself a hug.
Stop being so hard on yourself and start appreciating you.
Giving love to yourself and appreciating what you do will only further yourself in your self-love journey,
becoming the best version of you in achieving your dream life.
Be mindful on what you allow in your everyday life.
Your personal ins and outs will play as an important role, impacting your life,
positively or negatively. Life is meant to be lived and learned. I know you're thinking to yourself
and you truly know what you need and you don't need in your life. So take this opportunity to create
your dream life and the best version of you by consciously deciding what you will and won't allow
