Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my love. Welcome to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. Guys, it is basically summer. I feel like when everyone starts to get out of school and the weather starts to get warmer, it is officially summer. And I don't wait for like the actual date of summer. I'm actually not even sure the exact date of summer sometime in June. But anyways, it is basically summer already, which is why I think it's so important. We start just feeling that summer feels. to maximize the amount of time we have of each season. And of course, this was a very requested episode. So I wanted to just dive into this topic early on in the summer so we can start getting excited about the season. Today we're going to talk all about the perfect glow up tips and just a
Starting point is 00:01:00 self-care summer where we're just going to talk about starting fresh, getting out of a slump, and just having healthy summer routines. I feel like sometimes in the summer we don't know how to like spend her time. We don't know what to do to like feel better about ourselves and many different things. But we're going to dive into that today. But without further ado, let's get into this week's weekly review. This week I started a new therapist. Okay, can I have a round of applause? Thank you. Thank you. I started a new therapist because my OCD lately has been a little more than I would like. And I just would love to know some like tips on how to manage that better, specifically with my health anxiety and death anxiety, I just think it's really important to, you know, take steps in the right
Starting point is 00:01:45 direction for whatever that you're going through in life. And for me, it's trying to work on being able to maintain my OCD better. So that is something that I'm trying to, you know, move in the right direction for. Another thing this week is I've been doing kind of like a little reinvention on my life and myself, just simply to chill out more and not be so, you know, need to get this, this, this done. I'm a very all or nothing person. I run very all or nothing. And that's something I'm trying to work on. And I feel like a lot of us are trying to work on that as well. But anyways, just trying to have more balance in my life and enjoy the slow moments. Because I also have a huge tendency to overplan. And if you are the same way, please let me know
Starting point is 00:02:31 because I cannot help but to overplan everything way too far in advance. And something I'm trying to do is just live in the moment more and I definitely will share tips on how I'm doing that soon. Lastly, this week I have been planning out a Nantucket trip. I think I'm going to Nantucket in July and I'm so excited because all I want to do this summer is go to New England. I love New England. When I went to Maine, I practically was ready to pack my bags and move there. I absolutely love New England. But anyways, I think I'm going to Nantucket and then I may do a little like coastal Maine or somewhere in Rhode Island. I know like Newport Rhode Island is really pretty.
Starting point is 00:03:13 So looking so forth to that. Now on to the current obsessions of the week. My current obsession at the moment is strawberry picking. I went strawberry picking with my mom the other day and it was so fun. We both had like two buckets filled of strawberries. It just makes me want to have a strawberry farm one day and just go out in the garden, pick all the strawberries myself and then just give them out to everyone. I just have this vision in my head one day.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Okay, another current obsession, which is perfect for the summer, but woven sun hats, I swear there's the cutest, like, sunhats hat T.J. Max and Home Goods, or T.J. Max and Marshalls that I have spent hundreds on a few hats because I cannot stop buying them, but they're usually around like 10 to 20 each. And they are so beautiful. So go get yourself a cute sun hat. It just is perfect for morning walks and laying out in the sun. Okay, another current obsession at the moment is T.J. Max, like I said, I have never worked with T.J. Max in my life yet they are a brand I talk about nonstop. I know some people don't love T.J. Max, home goods, all those places because it just is very much, like, just a lot of stuff and like people think of consumerism. And trust me, I agree. But I cannot stop falling victim when I see a cute thing. I just want to buy it for myself or buy it just for somebody. They also have really. really cute, like, gift ideas there for, like, cute plates. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:39 I could live there, and I can't step in the store without leaving with a bag or two. Now and to the goal of the week. My goal of the week right now is to have no caffeine later than 1 p.m. Just because I find that I'm a little more shaky throughout the day, and it's also really much better for your circadian rhythm, not to have caffeine later on in the day. But anyways, if you're going to have any caffeine, matchas, obviously a lot better than having a ton of coffee later in the day,
Starting point is 00:05:09 just because the L-thianine is going to help balance out the caffeine intake. Now, another goal week right now is to book a solo trip for myself this summer. I've never gone on an actual solo trip. So that's something I really want to try doing and just test my ability. Somewhere that's safe for solo female travel, I think the only thing holding me back is I am very cautious and aware and want to make sure everything is safe. So anyways, that's something I'm trying to look into to possibly do this summer.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Now on to your affirmation of the week. I am giving my positive thoughts power and letting the negative ones pass. I love that so much and it's actually something I learned in my first therapy session with my new therapist because she was saying like you could have thoughts of whatever it is, a negative thought, a good thought. But if you get a thought in your head, it only exists if you give it power. So for instance, if you have a negative thought about yourself, that's something bad is going to happen, or whatever negative thought you have going on in your head, it only makes it a big deal and is present if you give it power. So when you have that thought, I know, trust me, it's very hard for me to let go of thoughts. But when you have a negative thought, replace it with a positive one. And just remember that that negative thought only can do something if you give it power. So trying not to entertain the thought too deeply. Now into your self-love question of the week. How will I show up as my best self today for my personal goals?
Starting point is 00:06:40 I love that so much because like I was saying earlier, we're kind of, oh, I know I am. I'm very involved in my career goals and things and it's easy to get wrapped up in that, but we have to prioritize our personal goals just as much as we prioritize our career goals or even more because it's really important to remember that at the end of the day, we're not dying with her job. We die with herself and our own personal self of who we were and became. So it's really important to dial in on your own personal goals. Now into your challenge of the week.
Starting point is 00:07:14 When you get overwhelmed, list one thing you currently feel from each of your senses. I love that so much because if you're feeling overwhelmed, it's very easy to just spiral and start to panic. But you just think, okay, what can I see right now? I see the pretty flowers. What do I hear? I hear the birds chirping. What do I feel? I feel the pages of my book on my hand.
Starting point is 00:07:34 And just listing out all your sentences can kind of have you detach from that thought and also just bring you back to reality. Now on to the podcast review. Okay, now my loves, without further ado, let's get into today's episode, which I am very excited about to chat with you today. As I said,
Starting point is 00:08:48 we are approaching summer right now and the weather is sort of getting warmer. I feel like for most of us, I do know the East Coast girlies though are still cold right now, but for most of us, I think it's going to start getting warmer. And I think even though East Coast is going to start getting a little warmer too. But we are approaching summer and summer is basically here, in my opinion, because school's mostly out. And when I feel like I said, when the schools are out in general, it just feels more like summer. So it's time to get out of our slump if you've been in a slump. I definitely have not been on in like a motivation, happy high right now. I've been on definitely a slump.
Starting point is 00:09:26 So I'm trying to pull myself out of that. But I feel like I'm fully pulled out of that right now and I'm really excited for the summer. But if you're feeling in a slump or feeling a little off, don't worry. I'm here. And we're just going to pull you out of that today. And we're going to talk about some glow up tips and having a good refresh for the summer. I always think having a refresh is so important when it comes to the season. so just having a refresh and starting new healthy routines and healthy habits.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Summer is supposed to be enjoyed and this may be your time of the season to chill out and just, you know, relax a bit. Or maybe this is your time where you want to get motivated. You have no school right now. Maybe you're working less and you kind of want to get out and start feeling good about yourself. Regardless of how you feel right now or what your summer plans are, we are here. right now to talk about personal growth this summer. A self-care summer, to be exact, but a
Starting point is 00:10:26 self-care summer, again, it means both internally and externally. What you do, even such as getting your nails done and self-care of like a face mask, that all counts as self-care. And the same goes for relaxing. Even if you're not proactively, you know, going out or working out or doing things to generally make you feel better, for you, it may be chilling out. So these are just ideas. that I'm throwing out to you that may help you feel like a little glow up, becoming a better version of yourself this summer. So let's start with glow up tips and starting fresh. You do not need to go to the extreme and restart everything in your life to have a refresh.
Starting point is 00:11:07 I feel like, again, I say this all the time, but I'm a very all or nothing person, and I try to work on that, having balance. And I know you guys are too, but we don't have to, you know, fix every single part that's falling apart in our life for every single little thing in our life. We don't have to redo our room, redo our car, redo our backyard, everything. You can pick one thing to work on because when we start everything at once, one, it becomes overwhelming. Two, it makes us want to stop because we get too overwhelmed by it and then nothing gets done. And three, we don't have to just do everything all at once. Pick one thing at a time that you want to work towards or just put
Starting point is 00:11:45 a little progress into everything. But there is truly nothing better than end. entering a new season and just becoming a happier, hotter, and more motivated version of yourself. I feel like that is definitely something I'm trying to highlight the season where I feel like I'm going to feel one of my best selves this summer just because what I'm going to be implementing and it's also how you feel about the summer is how you hype yourself up like your perspective on summer. So for instance, if you are thinking, oh my gosh, summer is starting. I have no plans. I don't know what to do. I'm literally just sitting in bed. Okay, that's your summer. But here's the thing. If you want to enjoy your summer and you want to enjoy your days, you have to be
Starting point is 00:12:29 putting the effort into changing that because things aren't just going to change right in front of us. We have to put some action into it. And let me remind you, we are doing this together. Even though I'm talking to you on a podcast, I promise you, we are doing this together. I'm your bestie. You're my bestie. And we're doing this together. This is not. to be cringe. Like I'm genuinely saying. I don't want you to feel like, you know, I'm talking to you and you can't talk to me back. It's more of like this is a joint thing we're working on together. When you guys tag me in stories of you listening to the show and working out or going on a walk, all that stuff makes me so happy because I'm like, this is us. This is our group doing this together
Starting point is 00:13:11 and we're all working hard. And also, if you want to meet some people who listen to the show and have similar minds as you, I have my broadcast channel. Starting point is 00:19:02 pretty. When it comes to having a glow up for the summer, start getting excited about the progress and the results. It's really hard to want to get up and start and put action into something when you don't, you know, have an end goal that you're looking forward to. My end goal of what I'm looking forward to for summer, like my true goal for my summer glow up is to actually have balance and have some personal enjoyment in my life. Wake up, listen to the birds, have a morning matja with like cute little sprinkles on. Like when I see a photo or like pins on Pinterest of like girls icing their face and wearing cute PJ sets waking up, making a cute coffee or a macha, and then making a birthday cake macho with the cute little sprinkles, that stuff makes me so excited to wake up every day and
Starting point is 00:19:54 it gives you something to look forward to. So you need to have something that you're looking forward to every day. We are prioritizing happiness and health. If you wake up and are craving a donut and a match for breakfast, have it. If you wake up and crave scrambled eggs with spinach, have it. Maybe you want to make cupcakes and muffins as soon as you wake up in the morning. Guess what? You can do that because you have free will. If you have time in your day and you're just chilling out laying in bed, you're not working, you're not in school, or anytime you have free time, remember, you have free will to do what you want to do. Glowing up doesn't necessarily just mean physical appearance. It could be a glow-up on how your perspective is and how you approach life in your day.
Starting point is 00:20:41 And also, a glow-up doesn't mean being 100% strict and disciplined with yourself. You have to give yourself grace, especially in the time this summer where things are more laid back and you don't need to be go-go-go-go all the time. It's very easy to get wrapped and fixated into one thing. And that could be such as work or career goals, school, whatever it is. But we have to remember though our life is to have enjoyment and you have to find those parts of you that you really enjoy and schedule out time every day for those things but anyways free will i feel like free will something that's not talked about enough i love it and i'm really just trying to like live by that lately but you have free will you can wake up have that breakfast then go on a walk swim in the ocean
Starting point is 00:21:26 lay back in bed read your favorite book whatever you want to do create that routine based off of what you want. But as I said, glow up is happening both mentally and physically and not just that, but in our soul. We're glowing up our soul as well. And you can glow up in all three of those aspects. All or nothing is in the past. So stop wasting time being so hard on yourself or not giving enough for yourself. I feel like sometimes we're either not giving us ourselves anytime at all and we're just putting ourselves to the back burner or we're working way too hard on ourselves and we're not giving any time to enjoy life and we're just non-stop go go go and we need to find that healthy balance I feel like we always think the more the better but we sometimes need to wake up and realize
Starting point is 00:22:14 the happier the better more money more success more good grades more time working out more time of everything more more more yes that stuff can help and that can benefit us and that can do really good things for us, but at the same time, we do have to have more balance. I'm not going to lie, I'm like getting excited talking about this, but this is the summer that we finally get up and live the life that we want to live. This may be the summer for you that you create a new summer routine and actually become the, no, I know this is so cliche and we hear all the time, but the best version of you. I feel like summer is truly the time where we have a little more free time mostly and we are trying to use that time wisely and enjoying it. So again, that doesn't mean
Starting point is 00:23:03 working out and working towards a new career. It doesn't have to mean that it can be relaxing more. And that is where you find the best version of you. But anyways, this is the summer that we finally get up and start living. In the morning, maybe start by icing your face. Something that I love to do in the morning is literally just, it's free. You get an ice cube and you just start rubbing it around your face after you wake up. I swear it just depuffs your face and it makes you just feel so much more awake for the morning. Maybe you can do an ice roller or even you can like take a dip in the pool. Something I really want to start doing is just waking up in the morning and first thing I do after waking up is throw on my bathing suit and then just take a dip in the pool. Maybe you want to do that
Starting point is 00:23:46 as well and something else to do in the morning for just a nice glow up necessity is make a healthy breakfast or any breakfast that you want doesn't necessarily have to be healthy but if you would like make a healthy breakfast in the morning and open your windows something that's so easy to do is just not have our windows or screen door or anything opened and we need the airflow actually not only that get outside go start the morning outside with your breakfast you can make a picnic for yourself literally again you have free will it is not weird if you go put a blanket outside on the grass and eat your breakfast out there while reading a book. This is your life.
Starting point is 00:24:26 You have nothing to prove to anyone. Go make time of your day. You don't want your days to feel like a broken record and they're just repeating. You want to have some variety and difference in your day. Because that variety and difference is what makes memories in your summer. Like I said, open your windows, go outside, hear the birds chirping. And get a new summer book. If you haven't read in a while, I'm telling you, you have to start.
Starting point is 00:24:52 reading again because I used to think I hated books but what I actually hated was the books I was assigned to read so in my young adult life when I had been exploring books and retrying books again I've absolutely loved falling in love with reading with books and I feel like I've found so many good ones okay really quick little intermission let me tell you about some good summer book wrecks love every summer after I think that's probably my favorite summer. book honestly oh wait actually that book and beach read amazing also love the summer i turd pretty series but yes beach read by emily henry is amazing i really recommend that book wait i'm really invested now of telling you guys book wrecks i'm actually clicking on my good reads right now okay so i said every
Starting point is 00:25:44 summer after beach read and the summer of broken rules is also a really good book actually that book is maybe my favorite summer book. And I'm currently reading my first Ellen Hilderbrand book, which is the Hotel Nantucket. But anyways, go to Barnes and Nobles, get one off Amazon, whatever, just or go thrifting and find a new summer book. I promise you, it will just take you to such a, another land. And it just makes you so inspired also. Like after you done reading a book or while you're in the midst of reading a good summer book, it makes you want to get out there. It makes you want to get in the pool, lay outside, and do all those summer activities.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Okay, another thing for a glow-up summer and SPO that you can do is have a green juice or like a juice shot every morning. You can get this from the market or you can just do it, get it from any grocery store, wherever. Get a little green juice or a little wellness shot. And yes, it's a really good for you. But also just makes you feel good. Sometimes you just need the placebo for your soul. Another thing, speaking of the market is go to the farmer's market. Go buy or thrift a cute wicker basket and bring the basket to the farmer's market. It's so cute to go to the farmer's market with an actual basket and just fill it with produce. It's so, so cute. I feel like I'm just saying a lot of hobbies right now, but to me, these are just the perfect glow-up activities and things you can do for the soul.
Starting point is 00:27:20 but let's really dig in now to glow up tips for the summer. Okay, like I said, ice rolling and face like icing, so great to do in the morning. Another thing, like I said, green juice, put on a song or a podcast, maybe even busy at pretty while doing your skincare. I absolutely love having like a cute like summer playlist on or a podcast on while doing stuff. It just makes me feel inspired and motivated. Another thing is start your morning with a walk post post-person. breakfast. I have been loving just going on a 15 to 20 minute walk after meals. It just makes you feel good and also it just gets that nice breeze on your face. Whenever you go outside, also try to
Starting point is 00:28:13 not be on your phone because when we're inside, we're most likely on our phone doing something a lot of the time. So really try to be present when you're outside and not just look at your phone and scroll while on your walk. Maybe after your walk go have your yummy oatmeal bowl and a match or you can do a macha and a bagel or coffee, whatever you love, make your yummy breakfast. And then if you didn't go in a walk before breakfast, you can go maybe after breakfast. And also, walking after meals is really good for blood sugar balance.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Then after all that, it is now time for you to have a room refresh. So again, you don't have to go to the extreme by ripping off your wallpaper and doing everything. But every single week, make sure you have one really deep, like Sunday reset or, deep clean and especially if you're in summer and don't have as much work or school, it is a great time to dial in on making your room an environment that you love to be in. So keeping your room tidy and neat is a non-negotiable and there's seriously no excuse. Make your bed, clean your floor, do your laundry, organize your desk and then sit down as like a reward, sit down with your matto or your coffee and do a little scroll on Pinterest.
Starting point is 00:29:29 there is nothing better than being like freshly showered after cleaning your room and laying in the sun all day or not all day, but laying in the sun with your sunscreen and just enjoying Pinterest, but not just going on Pinterest, but like dedicating time for you to make a new board and scroll and see what inspo there is. Something else you can do for the start of summer, which is like a perfect summer prep is write your summer intentions and goals down every summer. I just think it's so important. You can do it in a planner on just a piece of paper, anything. I just think it's a really good way to make intentions for yourself and also fill your summer with things to create memories and variety, not just have the same day of you sitting in your bed all day. I made an episode last year of all things that you could do in the summer without a friend,
Starting point is 00:30:20 a boyfriend, family. You can literally just do all these things alone and also free of charge. I really recommend that episode if you want some good inspo. It's of a few different summer episodes from the past few years. But anyways, like I was saying, just get your room situated. Make your bed every single day. There's no excuse. It just makes you feel put together.
Starting point is 00:30:43 And it takes literally under one minute to make your bed. And also, don't let your laundry pile up where it feels unbearable to do. Do your laundry once a week at least and just keep the things going. because even the little efforts you put into tidying your room, keeping things organized, is going to be a lifesaver for you. In my opinion, Pinterest is the best form of motivation for everything. Aside from podcasts, but I'm saying like Pinterest, in my opinion,
Starting point is 00:31:12 is the best social media inspo. Because when we're on social media, I feel like we're just so easily distracted where you could go on your phone and be like, okay, I'm going to go on TikTok and look for all like motivational videos, but all of a sudden you click on the app and then you're already seeing like a comedy video or what I eat in a day
Starting point is 00:31:32 and then you're like wait you get in a cycle of just listening to all these videos and you forget why you clicked on the app maybe this is an original experience this happens to me all the time but I don't think it is so I really encourage you to try going for Pinterest as motivation and other apps as well
Starting point is 00:31:50 but try reaching for Pinterest because it's less noise and less saying with what's going on and more just giving you pure inspo. But like I said, write out a summer intentions and goals in your planner. And get excited. Get excited about one thing every single day to look forward to. If that's your daily Pinterest scroll and matcha, have that be your thing you look forward to every day.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Also have one like activity slash like event every single week to look forward to. So maybe that's going to the farmer's market or trying a new hobby, a pottery class. seeing your friend. There has to be one bigger event that you look forward to every week that you couldn't have planned for. And also if you could do that every month, like one large thing every month, maybe that's going on a little trip or going to, you know, host a dinner party. Something to really look forward to is very important because the summer can start
Starting point is 00:32:44 to merge into being the same days if we don't have that variety in our life. Something else the summer is walking is in and we're dropping the high intensity workouts. It is too dang hot unless you like it. If you like high intensity, do it. Personally, for me, I used to love high intensity workouts, but I cannot do it anymore. I feel like it just makes my cortisol way too imbalance. And I just want to have a little more stressless workouts. So I'm trying to do maybe some light running. I love walking. Maybe you want to do some light weights while walking. I just imagine myself in the summer and I can imagine you just going on a walk and having like cute two pound weights that you're just like going up and down
Starting point is 00:33:29 that are like pink weights and it just gives the cutest little like 90s workout look. I love that for the summer. Okay, when it comes to your water, water is in the past. You're like, what the heck, Jaden, we need water. Trust me, I'm the biggest water drinker in the world. I love water. But what I'm trying to say is boring water is in the past. We're having chic water this winter, or this, hello, not winter, this summer.
Starting point is 00:33:55 It's time for you to elevate your water, add some electrolytes. That can be a coconut water, pink Himalayan salt, minerals, add some cucumber, mint, strawberry. Elevate your water where it feels fun and exciting to have. Something I love to do at the end of the day, which I haven't done in so long by definitely I'm going to start doing it more. Great for digestion and for circulation. but put your legs up against the wall, like lay on your back and then put your legs up against the wall.
Starting point is 00:34:24 It's so good to do this throughout the day or at the end of the day whenever you have time. It just is really good to help digest food, reduce bloating, and it helps you just have better circulation. Something else essential for the summer is be aware and be in tune with your wants and desire. Don't push your cravings of your favorite snacks to the back of your mind.
Starting point is 00:34:47 or don't push your desires of wanting to just go swimming in the pool, but you don't want to take the action of getting up to the back of your head. What you want to do during the summer, take action in doing it. Another thing for the summer is Whole Foods. We love Whole Foods. You know, there's nothing better than like Whole Foods and then just like a bowl of chips. So divine. If you're not someone who naturally loves Whole Foods and vegetables,
Starting point is 00:35:13 one of my favorite things to do to incorporate having more whole foods into your diet is making a crudate plate. I love crudate plates. I always love watching videos on how people make their crudate plates, but it's basically just a raw vegetable plate. That's what a crudet plate is. And you can have cute dips on it. You can cut up carrots, celery, radish, any type of vegetables with all your cute little dips. It can be so pretty, almost like a charcutory board, but for vegetables. And then a little bit. And then a little bullet chips on the side with your, you know, ice coffee or like a sparkling water. So, so divine. Another thing, find a good show to watch a new summer show to watch the summer and fixate on.
Starting point is 00:36:00 There's nothing better than like a show that's our designated summer show. For me, the past year was the summer I turned pretty. And I cannot believe the new season is coming out this summer. I'm so excited. I'm going to be basking in the episodes all summer long. But find a new show that you love. I'm also loving with love Megan on Netflix. I think it's so cute and relaxing. I'm just obsessed. Now when it comes to
Starting point is 00:36:27 your phone, less screen time, speaking for all of us, that includes myself, trying to have less screen time, but seriously, let's make this a goal, not be on our phone all summer. I bet you cannot remember the last 10 posts that you scrolled on. I bet
Starting point is 00:36:43 you can't. But I bet you can remember the last 10 experiences. that you had. Your phone does not create memories. Going out, living life creates memories. Work on yourself so much mentally and physically that you get excited to put yourself out there. I feel like when you feel good, you kind of want to like put yourself out there. You want to do more things. And that's the stage you want to get to. Do things to make you feel good. And it's going to make you want to get out there more. Do more things. Once you start this new summer prep and have this new refresh. The results from the happiness you feel from doing these things are going to make you feel
Starting point is 00:37:18 so motivated and becoming the best version of you. We're waking up, making breakfast, going on a walk, icing your face, going to the beach with your friends, going on coffee dates. None of that's going to feel like a chore, but it's going to make you feel excited to do it. Same with working out. You're going to feel better and feel really excited by the results of you feeling good, you feeling more motivated and awake. And that's going to motivate you to continue and continue. continue doing things that, you know, isn't necessarily in your comfort zone. I briefly talked about this, but when it comes to your room, use this time during the summer to make your room and home your sanctuary.
Starting point is 00:37:55 You want to love where you're at. If you don't like your environment, how do you expect to like your days? Like your life. You have to love where you're at. So make it a place that you want to be. Same goes with your life. Make your days in summer and environment and overall life, a place that you love, that you want to wake up to every single day. When it comes to midday, maybe you want to take a dip in the pool,
Starting point is 00:38:19 go lay outside, maybe go garden or bake, just start a hobby that you have during the summer to look forward to. Okay, something that I've waited till the end that I love so much talking about is summer everything showers. There is nothing better than feeling sticky and sweaty and nasty from laying in the sun all day, going in the pool, and then all of a sudden taking your midday shower, not just any shower, not just any shower, but your everything shower, using all your favorite soaps, exfoliating, moisturizing, moisturizing, washing your hair, doing a hair mask, doing a face mask. In the summer, it literally is just the most unmatched feeling. You're all hydrated after your shower and then you just have the cool breeze on your face with your hair up in a towel. Something also that is so chic is
Starting point is 00:39:18 invest in jewelry that you can wear in the shower, in the pool. I swear, I love. I love it. I love. I love. love the look of that when you're just in the shower or in the pool and your jewelry, just like you have a stack of jewelry on. It's so chic and pretty. Something I want to do this summer is camp outside in my parents' backyard. I really want to do that. I feel like it just is going to feel nostalgic and just such a fun random summer activity. I could roast marshmallows and just watch like a movie, just fun little things. Try to have some variety in your summer. Even if it feels funny, like write a bucket list. You can be any age. You can be in your late 90s and you're writing your bucket list for the summer. Do things to make memories.
Starting point is 00:40:01 We're here once. We want to enjoy our life. We want to enjoy your summer. And you have the ability to do that. And it's if you take action in doing it. When you consume ideas and videos of daily routines or how people are living their summers, do not compare how they're going to on vacations a ton and you're at home. Use what you have. Okay. You can take inspo from people on how they're living their life and their summer, but ultimately don't use other people's lives and apply it to yours. You can use inspo, but look at your life, look at what you have, and look at what you can do. Because this is your life. You have the ability to do what you want, live how you want to, and make the memories for you. Stop having so many excuses for yourself and start living a life
Starting point is 00:40:46 and summer for you that makes the summer the best summer yet. I love you so much and I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did recording it.
