Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the Busy at Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. Before we get into today's episode, I literally have had a, not a sinus infection, but almost one. Thank gosh, it didn't get too bad, but I've had basically a sinus infection all week. So enjoy my raspy voice this episode because I am not able to talk very clear. But of course, I want to get a episode in for you guys. I hope you all have been doing lovely and let's get into today's episode. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty busy at pretty to say myself last week, so I have had quite a bit of stuff I've been doing. But last week, Ryan and I went to Way, which is my favorite hair care brand ever. If you have not tried their products yet, you're missing out. I have them all linked over my modem and my Amazon storefront. I seriously love Way so much because it keeps my hair, perfect. I'm not kidding. I used to get like split ends and you know breakage, general breakage, but way is just so nice. I love it in my hair so, so much. But I got to go tour the Way

headquarters, which was so, so so nice. Everyone was so sweet. And it was so cool getting to see behind the scenes of my favorite products. Then this week, Ryan and I went to Love Shack Fancy to pick out an outfit to wear it to an event. They asked me to. So that day, We went there and then we also went to Glossier Alley. If you haven't been there yet, please go. It's seriously the cutest little cafe right outside of Glossier. I got a macha with strawberry puree in it and I'm not kidding. It was perfection.

Let's see, what else did we do that day? We also went to Lady Bird that night, which was so fun. I literally love Lady Bird, another restaurant I truly do love in L.A. If you follow me on Instagram and TikTok, you definitely already seen me posting about the lovely event that I went to, which was Love Shack Fancy's home collection where they held it at Kathy Hilton's house. And it was gorgeous. Kathy's house is beautiful. I was like, oh my gosh. So I went to Kathy Hilton's house with Lovechack Fancy and it was an afternoon tea party. It had so much desserts that were so, so good. I literally was. obsessed with them. They were from Boteca Louis and it was seriously just amazing. Everyone was dressed in the cutest love shack fancy outfits. It was totally on theme of the afternoon tea party. It was just so cute. I picked out this really cute blue set and it was like a gingham blue set and it tied in the front. Everyone said it looked like um the set from Euphoria that I'm not sure what her name is.

wears. I've never seen Euphoria. So I know. People are like, how have you not seen it? I don't watch TV. I know I'm that person, but like I don't watch TV. I'd rather be on Pinterest or like journaling. And I know that sounds stupid, but it's so true. People kept saying I looked like the Oklahoma outfit. And Ryan showed me the clip. So I'm like, oh my gosh, wait, it really does look like her. And her set was honestly so, so similar to mine, which is so funny. But if you go see that on my Instagram, you'll know what I'm talking about. That was seriously such a fun time. And if you want to go see photos of the event, you can see them on my Instagram or on TikTok. So Ryan had taken me to the event and he waited for me. And then after the event, we went to Takami sushi. And that is our favorite restaurant in L.A., one of our favorites for sure. And it's a sushi restaurant, 21 floors up, and it overlooks downtown L.A. I love it so much. It's gorgeous and the food is immaculate. Also, my favorite sushi is crispy rice.

It's so good. I don't know why I just love it so much. The texture is amazing. I'm not like a texture person. Like, I don't care if something has a weird texture, but like the texture is so good. So I don't know what it is, but I love it so, so much. Okay, moving on to current obsessions. So my current obsession right now is,

press juice. I am so excited to tell you guys, I have gotten a juicer. Finally, that has been a goal of the week for quite a few episodes now. And yes, Miss Busy at Pretty now has a juicer. So, you know, the day I got it, I went to the store, got so much produce, and started juicing away. I first tried out a watermelon-based juice, so I did like a lot of watermelon, and then I did some with like kale and watermelon, then I did watermelon and ginger, many different combinations, and it was seriously amazing. But I am just so in love with my juicer. It is originally about like 105, but it actually has a $50 off coupon right now on Amazon. So you know, I ran and bought it right away. But I'm just so happy with the quality of the juicer. I love it so much and it's so

pretty and white so if you're looking for a juicer i truly recommend that when i bought and i have it linked in my amazon storefront so i have been loving that another thing i've been currently obsessed with is sets and i'm meaning outfits so i just love a pretty set of an outfit i just think it's so classy to have a cute little set i just think it's so so cute another current obsession is coconut milk. I have been loving coconut milk so much. I feel like I always stick to oh, almond and cashew. And I forgot that coconut milk existed. And I was at Starbucks the other day and I got coconut milk because they suggested it and I was like, okay, sure. It's literally so good. I have been missing out and so I have been on the coconut milk train lately. Okay, my last

current obsession is waking up early and not laying in bed on. on my phone for a long time. I feel like I would wake up pretty early and scroll on my phone for almost like an hour and then finally get up. And now what I do is I wake up really early around like six and then I text Ryan our good morning texts and then I'm, I don't look on my phone for too long in bed because then it just keeps me in bed and it makes my day not get started right away. So that is something that I have been loving is just getting up right away. Okay, a goal of the week. So one of my goals of the week is to actually use my juicer and I'm meaning start juicing every single Sunday or Monday to have juices throughout the week. I know juices don't last too long so you can't do it too

far in advance but just like prepping and getting produce is what I'm wanting to do to have a easy time with my juicer. Okay, another goal of the week is to work on my permit an hour a day. I started doing it yesterday. I know, round of applause, please, because I do not want to be doing this right now, but it's for the good. I'm going to be happy once I have my license for sure. But, you know, of course, the process is not too fun. But you know what? It's going good so far. I'm going to do an hour today as well. And honestly, it's going pretty good. I'm going pretty good. I'm going to learning off the hand, like the booklet, and then I'm going to do the practice test online, and then I can take the test in person. Now for the quote from my five-minute journal, reflect on what you've achieved

recently and celebrate it. I love that so much, and it's so good to reflect and see what you've achieved and just appreciate yourself. Next to the self-love question to ask yourself. start finding our summer styles why not get into the summer spirit and start searching now So I am just the happiest in the summer because it's hot out and I can wear like practically anything. I mean, I'm more of a miniskirt than a puffer jacket girl. So don't get me wrong, I love a good puffer jacket, but I love a cute little mini skirt and a little tank top. So I'm very excited for summer clearly. Last year, I would say my summer style was, quote, the coconut girl aesthetic. and I was placed in that aesthetic with that name. I would see things reposted of me, and people would call me the coconut girl aesthetic.

And honestly, I literally cannot fathom the word coconut girl. I'm not sure why, but it cringes me, and I get acid reflex thinking of it. So I have never called myself a coconut girl. I would call my style from last year more of colorful. That's a really bad description, but I don't know. I'm avoiding the word coconut girl. I honestly think it was so, so cute, and I loved it so much. It had a lot of, like, beads and just rings, colorful rings and, like, necklaces,

and just everything colorful, and I seriously just loved it. It was so cute. But that is not why I'm going to be doing this summer. that was in the past and I'm ready for a new summer style. So this summer, I am channeling my inner sun-kissed, blushed face, and neutrals in washed-out colors. And I know that Iris Law, last year, the year before, would always do that in the summer where she put a ton of blush on her face and it was so cute. And that is what I'm wanting. It's just a very sun-kissed look. So some of the brands I'll be wearing the summer is Love Shack Fancy. I've been loving Love Shack Fancy, as you already know,

and I just think it's so dainty and cute and the quality of the pieces are just perfect. They are so, so nice. I have a set from my summer collection. It was the one that I wore to Kathy Hilton's house, so I have that on my Instagram, but it was the cutest set ever. Another brand I want to wear quite a bit in the summer is Eritzia. I love a Rizia. They have really nice, just, blinks and just very classic pieces to pair and dress up. So I love a Rizia for that and I also love how their quality is super nice. They have these really cute shirts very similar to Skims. I just love, love, love their pieces. Okay, another brand is Skims. I love Skims. I love Skims. I know they have quite a bit of body suits that are super cute that I want to get for the summer and just skims is such a nice brand,

such great quality. I love the company. It's great. So I definitely will be wearing lots of skims this summer. And of course, Brandy is great for basics. They have a lot of basics and blanks there. I'm not very much into any graphics from Brandy, but I do love just some plain white tink tops or some plain black tink tops. Whatever tink tops they have, I always try to get because I feel like they're just so cute and it's good to have in general so you could dress them up and pair them with anything. I'm definitely going to be wearing creamed colored dresses this summer. And I just think they're so cute. I just love a long, pretty dress.

And I think it's so cute when it kind of like goes past your feet and it like kind of not drags, but like you can pair them with a cute little high heels. So it's very long. And I just love that lengthy long look. I also love ones that are like netted. So I have a net cream dress and it's see-through so you can wear a bathing suit with it. And I just think it's so, so pretty. Something else I am for sure wearing this summer is tube tops.

I literally love them. I think they're so cute. I love to wear them with like no bra because then it's like you don't have to have any straps and then get that summer tan on. It just is so, so cute. Next up is aloe. I love aloe for their active wear. and just to wear in general. I think it's just such a cute brand. I am seriously obsessed and I will definitely be wearing aloe all summer. For dresses, you know I will be dressing up in my realization

dresses. I love realization. I think their pieces are so gorgeous. I have a yellow like tie dress and it ties in the back and just is so cute and their quality is so good. And, their quality is so good. And I just think it's so nice for the summer days coming up. So a brand I have definitely had my eye on is Jerf Avenue. If you know of Matilda Jerf, she is the cutest girl ever. She is a businesswoman in style icon and her pieces are amazing. Her hair also, we all know. She's known for her hair.

It is so pretty. But anyways, Jerf Avenue has the nicest pieces. I do know they're on the pricier side. I don't own any yet, but I definitely want to get some one day soon and let you guys know how I like it. But yes, if you're looking for really nice quality, more, a little more expensive on the pricier side, then Drift Avenue is definitely your way to go. Okay, next step is Reformation. I have been loving Reformation.

I went to the store the other day with Ryan and fell in love. I always forget it exists and I'm like, oh my gosh, their pieces are so perfect. I love their dresses. I almost bought a pair of jeans from there the other day. It was super, super cute. But anyways, I have been just loving Reformation. They're the cutest, like, puffy sleeve tops, and I don't know what you'd call it. It was not baby doll tops, but kind of, like, old-styled top, and I just think it's so cute and pretty. I thrifted this super cute, vintage, white, fluffy sleeve top, but I love it so much, and that's what they have at Reformation. and like really cute puffy sleeve tops.

So when I saw that at the Thrift, I was like, oh my gosh, I am 100% getting this. Okay, next up is Heart of Sun Swim. If you're looking for a really cute, nice bathing suit or cover-up, Heart of Sun Swim is your way to go. I posted multiple times in Heart of Swim pieces, both swimsuits and their really cute white cover-up. I know Bella Hadid wore that cover up in a photo. you search up like white cover up Bella Hadid or like Heart of Swim cover up Bella Hadid you'll see it and she killed it. It looks so good on her but I just love their pieces.

Another bathing suit brand is Frankie's bikinis. I don't own anything from Frankie's yet but I definitely will be this summer. I know they just signed a deal with Victoria's Secret which is so exciting for her and I think they're carrying her pieces in the store and I know Frankie's bikinis just open been a store, I think, in New York. And that is just so cool. And I definitely want to go support the brand. So I'll definitely be purchasing Frankie's bikinis this summer. Another thing is I love skirt wraps, but I feel like I burnt out skirt wraps from last year. I have probably about 15 cute little tie-ups skirt wraps to wear over bathing suits. And I wear them all the time. And I feel like I'm just over it now. So I don't know how much I'll be wearing skirt wraps this year,

but definitely coverups for sure. Like little like see-through mesh coverups, I think are my little overbathing suit outfits, but not really the tie-up wrap skirts because I feel like I just wore way too much last year and I'm not feeling it this year. Okay, another thing is during the summer I love gold jewelry. Jewelry is so necessary to dress up a look. And, you know, and I'm not feeling it. And I love both silver and gold. I really don't have a favorite. I think I have preferences on something being silver or gold in certain cases of jewelry. But honestly, I love both.

But definitely gold jewelry for the summer. I said this in the past before, but Amazon has the best gold jewelry that are nickel-free. I have it linked over my Amazon storefront and I wear them every day. Another thing this summer, I am just loving new balances. Of course I can't wear sandals all throughout summer. I sometimes have to wear some close-toe shoes. So new balances are what I'm going to be choosing. I don't have any new balances right now, but I'm planning to buy some very soon because I feel like it's just such a clean, staple look for an outfit that you're trying to not dress down, but just an everyday casual outfit. It just looks so good and so classy and chic. Something I am for sure getting into this summer is really dramatic and exaggerated hairstyles. Hair can do so much to a look, and I feel like hair this summer is going to be something

I really focus on. I feel like the last thing I really focus on in a look is my hair, and it's more of my makeup and how the makeup is looking with my outfit. Of course, the outfit comes first, but stuff like accessories and makeup, but I feel like I forget about my hair and ignore my hair and how I can actually dress it up to be so cute with an outfit. So definitely making my hair really exaggerated and over the top this summer is what I'm going for. I love a little slick back style bun and oliplex bun. So cute with like hair sticking out the sides.

So unbelievably cute. I love it. And they're also just so comfortable to have in. like if you're planning to have a busy day in the summer, a sleepback oliplex or a geysu hair oil or whey oil bun is your way to go. So next up is big sunglasses. I am a medium-sized sunglasses girl. I don't love it to be too big and dramatic, but I don't love it to be those very small styled like Y2K sunglasses look. It just is not my style. But I just love a big sunnies for the summer. Just a nice staple black pair. I really want to get a really

nice white pair of sunnies that I can wear all throughout this summer because I have probably about 30 pairs of black sunglasses but like two pairs of white sunglasses and that needs to change. As I said, blush, I just can't get over it. So when I talked about the blush this summer, if you're wanting that blushed sunkiss look, you need the glossier, classier, paint blush. It's so nice and it's just so dewy and it makes your face just look so fresh and pretty. We are not wearing matte products in the summer. Unless you're wearing heavy SPF and need to cover up that SPF, okay, then mat is acceptable. I also know this isn't style related, but of course we need to keep our skin very good for the future. So invest in a good

sunscreen. I actually just got a sunscreen from Sunbaum, which is SPF. 70 and it's really good ingredients and SVF 70 is really nice. So I put that on my face every morning in my neck and then sunscreen on my body if I'm planning to be out. But always sunscreen on the face. Something else I feel like could be super cute this summer is a little tooth gem. I am not sure if I'm going to get this done, but I feel like getting a cute little tooth gem for the summer. It's just so cute and fun and classy. Okay, this is something I've been loving. I feel like it's very girf avenue style, but it's a white button up with a silk white bra underneath, but the buttons not be completely buttoned up. But you're not looking like it's inappropriate and not

public. Okay, maybe it's not public appropriate ever, but I mean, for photos, you have to be in a certain, okay, we're getting off topic. I feel like you have to be in a certain area, city, and state for certain outfits to be socially acceptable because I live in San Diego. And I feel like that's a pretty updated city up to date with the times still, but you know you run into those specific people who are like, what are you wearing? But I'll wear some things that are questionable or maybe like a mini skirt. Nothing where you can see anything. But let's say I wear a miniskirt and a little tight top. Or let's say I wear some trousers with a little baby tea that says milfs on it. I feel like it's only acceptable to wear certain things like that in certain areas or it's, I mean, you can wear that stuff any time,

but you're going to get stares more at specific places than others. Like, I mean, everything I'm wearing in San Diego, I feel like I don't get very stared at. I'm also not wearing like extremely crazy outfits, but like when I would wear like a pink wig out or something, I'll have a few head turns for sure. But like, when I'm like in L.A. or New York and I wear something that's very outgoing, barely anyone will turn their head. It's kind of like a normal. And I feel like that's more of New York, though, than L.A. I feel like when I bent to New York, I could do honestly anything or wear anything or say anything and people kind of just don't care in their own world. But L.A. I would say they're better than a lot of areas, but I mean, you'll still get someone turning their head at you, but it's still,

I would say, a little more common to be outgoing and extra than somewhere that's a small 1,000 populated city. Anyways, but back to what I was saying. A cute little white button up with a white little silky bra underneath would be so cute for the summer. And dressing it up with like jeans and some black little pointy heels. So, so cute. Something else I've been loving is midi skirts. And I just love a black midi skirt, so classy with a little white top. And I feel like that's such a nice classic 90s style look.

When I wear a black middy skirt and a white tink top, I'm not seeing it as a plain outfit, but I kind of dress it up to be a more 90s look. outfits, so I'll add like a cute little vintage purse with it or something. Something else that I'm just obsessed with is Blue Marine. And I'm sure so many of you guys know Blue Marine. They have the cutest pieces ever. I need their purses. Their purses are amazing. But I just feel like they're the prettiest colorful vibe to their brand. And I definitely know it's on the priceier side. It's more of, I would say, high-end fashion. But Blue Marine, is just so, so beautiful.

Something else that right now I have been wearing almost every day is cowboy boots. I just feel like cowboy boots are so cute, especially in the summer. When it's in the summer and you're dressing it up with a cute little miniskirt, I see it more like summer not over the top type of look than a yaha type of look. And not saying yaha look is bad. But I feel like for a summer style, you could dress cowboy boots up so, so cutely. Okay, a brand that I'm obsessed with and it's not necessarily summer, but I definitely could see people wearing it in summer is Ashley Williams. Ashley Williams and Mimi Wade, both those brands are

killing it. I love Ashley Williams pieces. They're so pretty. You can see a lot of Mimi Wade and Ashley Williams pieces in the Heaven Store in L.A. Lastly, for when it gets a little chillier in the evening during summer. It's so nice to have a cover-up that keeps you warm enough, but is not so much of a jacket. And I think what's perfect is a blazer. I just have been loving blazers right now. There's so many just lightweight blazers. And I think they're just so nice for the summer. But I have been just obsessed with blazers at the moment and wearing them over little tink tops. So that wraps up the episode for today. I know this was a little shorter one. but I thought it'd be fun just go over some summer styles that I definitely am going to be wearing this summer.
