Hello, my love.
Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast.
I'm your host, Jaden Haley.
If you are new here, welcome.
I talk all about how to become the best version of you,
how to romanticize your days, your routine,
and of course, especially during the seasons,
because I am someone who loves the seasons,
and now that fall is here,
there are so many things you could do to enjoy your routine,
your days, and enjoy fall.
With that said, I have a very exciting episode for you today,
which is The Friendship Guide.
Today's episode we're going to talk all about how to make new friends, let go of toxicity and relationships, and have a healthy social life.
I know how hard it is to make friends and nurture relationships and nurture a social life while having a busy school or work life,
and trying to prioritize self-care time and being alone.
I feel like it just can be a lot, especially if you're someone who just is busy or overwhelmed or maybe you're more shy.
Let me tell you, as someone who used to eat lunch in the bathroom stalls and didn't have friends throughout middle school,
and barely high school. I know what it feels like to feel very alone and have no friends. And now I have
many great relationships and friends and a great social life that I feel like I perfectly balance
within my task, my work, and all my to do list. I'm looking so forward to getting into that
today. But first, let's see our weekly review. This week, I have been a little bit stressed. I can't
lie and I feel like sometimes when you are shifting into a new season and you have lots of goals
to do's but also trying to manage all the things in front of you I can sometimes feel overwhelming
and I think I had a little like overwhelming rush this week and I sometimes one of my favorite ways
to kind of get over that stress feeling is keeping busy and I think it's important to slow down
and embrace how you feel in order to move on but sometimes when you're stressed maybe just
filling your calendar a bit more can actually help you. I feel like my stress was coming from
random worries and not so much like work stress. So I had a little extra room to kind of compile
more things onto my schedule. So doing that has helped me be a little more busy and take my mind
off the things. And I feel like now I'm back on track and I'm feeling good. So sometimes the best
thing you can do is just rearrange your schedule according to how you feel. And at the same time
sticking to your routine, which is so important because having a dedicated routine that you
know that you'll always show up for can be so helpful because those healthy habits are going to
help you feel better in the long run. Another thing this week is I have been decorating for fall
and the cozy season. I just am so excited of course for autumn as I always say but really I am trying
to immerse myself so much into the season. I want to bake something every week. I want to watch a
cozy show. I just want to feel that cozy feel but I can't lie. It's so hot outside. So sometimes it's
hard to enjoy a cozy season despite hot weather. Now into the current obsessions of the week.
My current obsession of the week is all my decor up I have in my room. And in my bathroom,
I ended up decorating, well, not decorating, but swapping out all my summer products in my shower
for fall product. About a week and a half ago, I posted a shower restock video for fall of just
all my favorite fall products. And seriously, okay, this is another current obsession right now,
but another current obsession of mine for fall is the French mood milk body butter.
It literally smells like a chai latte.
It's seriously so good.
But when it comes to my fall room, I have a fall room tour posting this week.
If you know me, you know I love redecorating my room to the season.
Another current obsession at the moment is GI therapy.
As I say on the podcast, I do have some health struggle that I've been dealing with.
Many of them are so much better now.
But one of the things was my GI issues.
I am just always someone who had lived by the quote hot girls have stomach problems
but I refuse to affirm that to myself anymore and of course we're always in our healing era
so I've been going to GI therapy and it's really helped they actually it's like clinical
hypnosis to help me kind of not feel the symptoms as drastically and it's been very helpful so
far my last current obsession of the week is a blueberry matcha my favorite thing right now is
to get a really just strong matcha and then put a huge spoonful of
blueberry jam in it. It just makes it taste so sweet and so fruity, which is my favorite type of
machas right now. Now to the goal of the week. My goal of the week is to have a cozy fall movie night
or I want to start twilight. I keep putting off my movie night because I've been so busy,
but I actually do want to this week have a fall movie night, but I also kind of want to start
twilight. So I'm trying to decide if you have any fall movie recommendations or fall shows,
let me know. I know people are saying Heart of Dixie is so.
super good. It's kind of like Gilmore Girls, I guess. So I may watch that, but I also really am in the
mood to start Twilight. I've never read it. I've never watched it. So this may be my year. Another goal
of the week is to start a new fall book. So that's where I'm also trying to decide, do I want to read
Twilight or watch the show first? Or just pick a different type of cozy fall book to read. Also,
if you need a good cozy fall book recommendation, I love the Pumpkin Spice Cafe. It seriously just
embodies fall perfectly.
And now my last schooled week is to drink more tea.
I always find when I drink more tea, I just feel more relaxed.
And warm tea and heat can just feel so healing, especially if it's colder where you live.
Now unto your affirmation of the week, I attract the right people who are meant for me and who understand me.
I love that affirmation so much, and I feel like if it's perfectly with today's episode,
now on to your self-love question of the week.
Who makes me feel most alive and that I can be myself around?
I feel like that's such a great question to ask yourself to be mindful of who's in your life and who do you truly love and feel most comfortable around.
And you're not actually trying to be someone you're not or trying to impress that person.
Now on to the Apple Podcast Review.
If you want to be featured on next week's episode, make sure to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts or leave a rating over Spotify.
This review is from Lucy and Lucy said,
This is the perfect podcast to listen to while doing my evening routine.
Love this podcast and it's so great to wind down and really relax.
This is my safe place.
Lucy, I cannot tell you how sweet that is.
And hearing that I'm your safe place, truly, it's just one of the best compliments I could get.
I'm so happy that the podcast just makes you feel relaxed.
And I love how also everyone kind of perceives the podcast in different ways,
feeling motivated or relaxed.
And whatever that does for you makes me so happy.
Now, without further ado, is time to get into today's episode.
As I mentioned earlier, today's episode is The Friendship Guide.
So we're going to talk all about how to make new friends, how to let go of toxic friends and relationships, and just have a healthy social life.
Whatever age you may be, middle school, high school, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and adult, whatever age, making new friends can be difficult.
And it especially becomes harder and harder to make new friends when you get older because you're not necessarily as maybe social as you used to be when you were younger.
And most importantly, you may not have the opportunity to get older.
to meet new people. Let's say all you do is work all day, so you only know the few people
at your work, or if you go to school, you only know the few people at your school. This is why
putting yourself in places where friendships can naturally form is so important. And I want to
say this first before we get really into the episode, but you have to be willing to make the first
move. So much at the time, we're shy, we're worried what is someone else thinking, or are they
going to ask me to hang out? Let me remind you, someone else may be thinking that about you. And you're
thinking, wait, if they had just asked me, I would have said yes. Same with them. They may be
waiting for you to ask them to hang out. You have to be the one to be able to go up and ask,
hey, do you want to go do some pottery next week? Do you want to hang out at the farmer's market?
Whatever it may be, be confident in making the first move because that's going to get you a lot
further than staying silent and waiting for people to just come to you. So let's talk about some
places that you can actually make friends. Like I said, your situation may be really busy,
maybe you're working, maybe you're at school, maybe you just don't have the opportunity or
know where to make friends. So this is why going to classes, any type of classes are very important.
Classes around you, it could be workout studios, it could be hobbies, so a craft like a sewing
glass, pottery class, any like local community events. I'm also sure that if you're in school,
that you, there's lots of school events even happening where you can meet friends.
And if you're not in school, look up local community events near me.
Find something interesting.
Find something that aligns to you.
Because if there's something that you like, let's say you love books and there's like a book
club near you.
It's attracting people who have the same interest to you.
So then when you go to that book club, you know, okay, everyone else here likes books, which is
also my hobby.
Another way to make friends is going to cafes.
I mean, this can be sometimes hard in you have to be, quote, brave if you're not someone who's really outgoing.
But let's say you go to a cafe to go study and you see someone else studying.
You literally can go up to them and just start talking to them.
And seriously, what's the worth that can happen?
If someone doesn't want to talk to you or doesn't want to be your friend or hang out with you or continue the conversation, then that's it.
You move on, you go to the next person.
And you can take that as it was a great way to practice rejection therapy.
Learn how to be okay being rejected.
Because being rejected is only helping you get closer to the right people.
It's saving you wasted time, wasted hangouts, wasted time having to communicate with people
by someone rejecting you.
Stop taking rejection personally something wrong like you did something.
Not everyone's going to like you and not everyone should like you.
Back to what I was saying about where to make new friends, but also mutual friends.
that's a big thing. You can even ask maybe someone you know or friend you know saying, do you know anyone who also likes to sew? Do you know someone else who also likes to go to the farmer's market? Like, you can ask your friends if they know any friends and I guarantee you, they'll have fun setting you two up to hang out. I love when I get to like introduce two of my friends and they actually become good friends and I see them hang out. Like that truly makes me so happy being like, okay, I know I did that. Like I know I matched the two girls.
who are so alike, now they're best friends.
Another way to meet new people is saying yes to more plans.
Not saying you have to say yes to everything or things that you really don't want to do,
but try saying yes to things that maybe make you a little uncomfortable.
Maybe you haven't done any sports or ever tried pickleball before.
But if your friend asks you, do you want to go play pickleball?
Say yes.
It doesn't matter if you're a beginner.
Doesn't matter if you don't even know how to play.
If they're willing to show you and they know you're a beginner,
even though maybe they're advanced at it, go.
You don't have to stay back just because you're nervous about not knowing how to do everything.
Same with, let's say, the same group of friends always hang out, they always go to the farmer's market.
They ask you to come with them and you think, oh, well, maybe I'm intruding because they always go every weekend and then I'm like a new person to their group.
Stop and let me remind you you, you're overthinking.
And let's say you go when it doesn't work out, what's the worst that could have happened?
You didn't like them or they didn't like you.
It really doesn't matter.
And you just don't hang out with them again.
But maybe they could be your best friends that this be a new weekly ritual to go to the farmers market with your friends.
But you'll never know unless you try.
But let's talk about how you can make the first move in friendships.
One of my favorite ways to do this is give genuine compliments.
Not just compliments to start a conversation.
Like, of course, sometimes I'll just be complimenting someone to start a conversation or to be nice or to be polite.
but sometimes if you want to make friends,
compliment something that maybe they're wearing
or something that you know they have
that you actually have an interest in
because that right there is now going to be communicating on a topic
that's almost introducing yourself by.
So let's see, I see a girl drinking matcha down the street.
She's in a really cute outfit.
She's like definitely my style of like Pilates.
And I say to her, oh, where did you get that match?
And she tells me where?
And then we just go back and forth on matcha
and then our favorite place is around.
You don't know where conversation can lead you.
Sometimes a simple compliment can turn into a full-on conversation,
but you'll never know unless you try.
So giving a compliment, a genuine compliment on something that you like
and you would feel comfortable talking about
is going to help move the needle closer to where you can connect on something
that you both have in common with.
Another way to make the first move into friendship is ask questions,
show real interest, and get to know somebody.
I always ask questions. Like people, and if I meet someone in a conversation, I kid you not, I don't care about talking about myself. I really don't, but I will if people ask questions, of course, but I always and the one who asks the questions and I like to give people a way to talk about themselves. It's also known that people love to talk about themselves. So the more you ask people questions about themselves and they have the opportunity to talk about themselves, that's only going to draw them closer to you. There's lots of books like.
on that and just the psychology behind that.
But by showing real interest and asking questions about that person and specific questions
is going to make that person more drawn to you and immersed in the conversation.
When it comes to new goals for the season, many of us always put down starting a new business
as a goal.
That goal can feel so big and so daunting when you've never started a business or ran a business.
But let me remind you that having experience is not necessary for starting a business.
Let me introduce you to something that I love Shopify.
It makes starting a business easy and has all the tools you need to launch and maintain your business from day one.
And whenever I use Shopify websites, it is so easy to navigate.
What I love most about it is their design and launch feature.
With Shopify's templates and tools help your stunning site get up launched and running smoothly.
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that is responsible for millions of sales worldwide.
It is an online website storefront creator, inventory management system, point-of-sale system,
much more. Shopify handles all faucets of business so that you don't have to use 10 different
systems. One platform is all that anyone needs. Shopify's checkout means more customers actually
buy and returning ones can do it in just a single click, powering millions of businesses
worldwide from household names to small businesses just getting started. If you're ready to hear the

That's right. Start your free trial today at Shopify.com slash busy yet pretty. That's Shopify.com
slash busy at Pretty. This episode is supported by Hinge. Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted.
It's for people dating with intention, going on dates, putting themselves out there. Hinge is designed
for finding connections. When it comes to me personally for dating, I am just so picky. And being picky
is important in order to find the right person for you. And something that I think is so important
when it comes to dating is not settling. As I always say, do not settle for any less than you
deserve, which is why Hinge is honestly just the perfect place to find connection and people who
really connect with you, have the same interest, and just meet your non-negotiables. And Hinge makes it
easy to start a conversation where you can just comment with a like or responding to a prompt.
It can just give you that confidence that you need on your journey to finding the person that just
understands you and connects with you the best. Anyways, if you are on your dating journey or
are looking to start dating again, I honestly recommend checking out Hinge. It's worth just giving a
to try and who knows you may connect and find the perfect person for you that meets all of your non-negotiables
something that i also think is really important for making the first move is let's say after a conversation
you meet someone actually follow up and make plans let's say you meet someone and you want to ask them
oh do you want to hang out next week that already is following up with plans to have set in stone set
in place that you're going to hang out with that person another way you can do this is let's say you
meet so on and then you have their Instagram and later you guys just chat over DM or maybe you
chat over text. Having that connection, you can always just text them and be like, hey, do you want
to hang out this weekend and go to the farmer's market? Follow up that conversation that you had earlier
with plans and I guarantee they're going to be interested because you had just spoken with them
recently. When it comes to turning acquaintances into friends, you need to remember that consistency
creates closeness. So if you're consistently trying to nurture this relationship and you both maybe text
every other day or so or send each other a post or maybe showing them something you think they'd like,
right there showing consistency and that consistency is going to create closeness. Same with hanging out.
Maybe you hang out with someone. Again, I'm using the reference of going to the farmer's market.
But after you go to the farmer's market with them, you can say, do you want to go next week and we can just make it like
a little routine and a little ritual to do every weekend?
Right there, that just creates consistency, which will automatically draw you both closer to each other.
Another way to turn in acquaintance into a friend is invite them to do something one-on-one.
So maybe, let's say you guys usually hang out in a group, but one of the girls in the group,
it just feels very much aligned to you, so maybe you want to hang out with her and go to Pilates.
You can invite her outside of the friend group asking if she wants to go to Pilates.
It's a great way to just be able to learn more about each other and become closer.
and also overall just see if that's the type of friend that you want to have in your life
by having one-on-one plans and not always just doing group friend dates.
And while I think it's always important to ask about someone and that is going to draw them closer
to you, it is very important to also share things about yourself over time.
Share more about yourself.
Also be transparent because there's times where I think, okay, this is going to sound very,
you know, out there and I'm going to talk about something that I've been struggling with
or something that I feel like maybe this person can relate to.
And many of the times, it has literally just like ring a bell and sparked such a conversation
where that person relates or that person knows someone else who has that.
Sometimes I'll talk about like my stomach issues or I'll talk about my health issues.
Or I'll talk about, you know, my experience of when I was bullied in middle school.
And they'll be like, wait, I was also bullied in middle school.
Honestly, you never know what someone's story is.
and in some of the best ways to get that story out there and trying to be transparent with each other
is starting that transparency yourself.
And that right there can create such a close friendship.
Something I will always say this is with friendships and relationships, but stop waiting to be chosen.
Something that's really important when finding your people and just new friends is also looking for shared values and not just shared interests.
Because of course we have shared hobbies, shared interest, but having shared values is also very important.
because you may have the most perfect friend who has all the same interests as you,
but their values just do not align with yours.
And of course, values and morals do not need to necessarily always align perfectly.
I feel like some of the best friendships is actually having different values,
but just being able to respect it.
But then if you have a friend maybe who doesn't have the same values as you,
even though they have the same interests as you,
let's say some of their values is not as strong as yours where they don't mind stealing,
from a store, even though they're with you, that may not be the person you want to hang out with
because you don't want to be tied to theft because that's not your thing. So it is important to know
people's values so you can determine the length of the relationship that you want to have with
this person. Something when it comes to your personal self is pay attention to how you feel around
someone. Sometimes our body and physical reactions will actually start before our mental reactions.
There are times our body will actually reject people if they're not mental.
us. There's so many girls who say like they would never have their period or they would always
throw up when they were in a certain relationship and they never knew why, but they just realized
after they broke up with that person that person was not from them. Sometimes your body will show
physical signs before mental signs that that person is not right for you. And when it comes to
friendships, quality always matters more than quantity. It's always married to have a few quality
friends than just a quantity of friends who are acquaintances and they just don't care about you or don't
even know you. And for a healthy relationship, it's so important to have that mutual effort and
genuine support because, of course, you can be the one who initiates the relationship and you guys
become friends, but if you're constantly the person to initiate every single plans and
not getting that equal amount of effort on their side as well, that's not the relationship you want,
You want someone who is just as excited to hang out with you as you are with them and someone who genuinely supports you.
Also in a healthy friendship, you also want to feel safe in your body.
You want to feel safe in yourself and you also want to just feel like your true self.
So many of the times we perform or accidentally perform and be a different person or change some things about us because we don't feel fully comfortable with that person.
It's not like you're going to feel 100% comfortable overnight with a friend if you're just meeting them.
but if you were into a friendship and it's been a while,
but you're still finding yourself changing who you are
and trying to act like someone you're not when you're around that person,
that person is just not the person for you.
Yes, you may like them and may like certain things about them,
but that's not the person for you because you're actively changing who you are
to fit in within that person.
And with genuine support and relationships,
you also want to have someone who supports each other's wins
without having competition.
I feel like we all know that friend or had that friend in the past who everything is a competition
and they will get jealous of so many things of you or things that are like wins for you.
That is clearly not a healthy friendship.
You want someone to be excited about your wins just like you're excited about theirs.
Now let's talk about red flags when it comes to friendships.
As I said, constant jealousy or competition, one of the biggest red flags of all time,
especially if a friend is doing this early into the relationship where they're constantly jealous
or they're trying to just constantly compete with you they're not happy about your wins
imagine what's going to be like years and years into this friendship it will be so toxic so just
be cautious of that friend and that's not really a friend so just start to let them go gracefully
peacefully peacefully and move on because that is not the right person for you another thing is
one-sided effort as I said one-sided effort is going to get you nowhere in a friend
except for you constantly being the person to initiate everything and always feeling like
you're getting the short end of the stick. You want someone who is excited about this friendship
just as much as you are. Another big red flag is of course if they are gossiping about you and
it gets back to you. That is not a real friend because let me just say your name would never be
in my mouth if I'm saying anything bad. If I'm saying anything bad, your name would never be in my
mouth and if your name is in my mouth, it's only positive. Don't gossip about.
someone that you wouldn't mind getting back to. A little life lesson because it will always come back
to the person. I feel like this is the biggest red flag out of all but repeated boundary crossing.
There are times that we have boundaries of whatever it is and no matter what, your boundaries
should not need to bend or change depending on your friend's terms. Because the right friend would
not try to change your opinion or try to change your boundaries on something that is your own
boundaries if they truly cared about you. So repeated boundary crossing is absolutely a red flag.
And with all these red flags, let me remind you, though, you don't have to cut someone out
and shut someone out and just be like backing out of this friendship. If this maybe happened once
or twice, something that is really important and also really healthy in a friendship and can
make an even stronger friendship is voicing it. Communication is so key to relationships and
it can make a relationship even stronger than you can imagine it.
So let's say someone hurts you or someone crosses your boundaries or you don't like something that
someone's doing.
If that person is worth your time and you really do want to continue this relationship,
if they were to change, then voice it.
You have to voice it because maybe they don't even realize it.
And maybe they also could be extremely sorry and not even, like I said, realize how
they were subconsciously hurting you.
There's also going to be that quote friend.
who is extremely defensive and says, no, I don't do that and you're the problem.
And right there, that shows you enough that that person is not the right person for you.
There's also a difference between toxic and difficult friendships
because there are some people who are genuinely toxic
and some people who are genuinely just difficult in having friendships.
Not every conflict in a relationship means it's toxic.
Sometimes there's going to be ups and downs and conflicts,
but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a toxic relationship.
because healthy friendships can survive disagreements.
It's more in general about looking at the patterns of this friendship and this person,
not just one bad moment.
Because there's going to be times where even your healthiest relationships with your friends,
you're going to have arguments, you're going to have conflict,
and you're going to have disagreements.
But it's how you handle it and move forward.
And again, the pattern.
If this is always happening, then that's going to be toxic.
But if this is happening, you know, sparingly and you guys always work through it accordingly,
then that's more just a conflict and not necessarily a toxic relationship.
When it comes to letting go friendships that just no longer serve you,
it's super hard because sometimes you've had this friend for years
and sometimes you maybe had your hopes up thinking this would be the friendship
that it didn't turn out to be as much as you hoped it would.
It's time to let go of friendships when the friendship is just constantly draining you,
draining you physically, draining you mentally,
and also when you've communicated but nothing changes.
Let's say you say how you feel and you stay,
things that bother you that they do, maybe they are really apologetic and they do really feel sorry,
but then all of a sudden they keep doing it again and again, that right there, that is when
you know you can let go. And also, this is your reminder that you can also love someone and still
outgrow them. You're not necessarily going to have the same friends forever, and friends are
important to have at certain times in your life, in certain seasons of your life, and sometimes you
meet people for the perfect season of your life, and they're just not meant to be in the next
chapter. I'm slowly starting to transition into fall and it makes me so sad to close that summer,
but I can't lie. I always look forward to the new season because I just switch out my wardrobe.
But while I've been getting out my old fall pieces, I'm realizing I don't have that much fall
clothes. So I've been taking myself on little shopping sprees for quality pieces and one of my
favorite places to shop organic cotton, washable silk, and Mongolian cashmere. That's all very elevated
material but also at a more affordable price is quince from apparel to bedding to kitchen essentials to
furniture made with high quality materials but are 50 to 80% less than similar brands it's been honestly
one of my favorite places to shop fall wardrobe i have this one quince dress and i wear it all the time
so you can find the fall pieces you'll reach most for at quince download quince app for app exclusive offers
or go to quince.com slash busy get free shipping on your order and 360s

fall time I just love a new wardrobe so I'm just a shopper and one of my favorite things to do
in bed lately has been shopping on whatnot because it just makes shopping so exciting
especially when I'm trying to just replenish my wardrobe for the fall time but it's not just
buying it's also selling what not is where sellers shine and find their people
repeat customers that just come back to see your face instead of just a logo, where they're actually
connected to you as a seller? What Not is the largest dedicated live shopping platform, whether it's

Some of the ways that you can let go of a friendship gracefully, peacefully,
is that you don't always need a dramatic ending.
Sometimes we always think, you know, we had that one person in our life
that we had to let go and there was a big fight and that's how we ended our friendship.
Let me remind you that's not how all friendships end
and it does not need to be that way.
You don't need a dramatic ending or a fight to end a friendship.
You can simply just create distance when a relationship no longer feels healthy.
And also give yourself a permission to grieve the friendship
because we allow ourselves to grieve a relationship
and the same should go with a friendship.
And I guarantee you sometimes friendships are going to be much harder to grieve than even a relationship.
When it comes to being a better friend,
let's say you have some current friends and sometimes just is hard to nurture the relationship.
some things you can do to just be a better friend in general is check in without needing a reason.
We don't always have to wait for something to happen in their life or something to, you know, to go wrong in order to check in,
check in and ask how they're doing without a reason.
Another thing is remember the little things.
Sometimes you can reference or say something, maybe that was an old memory of your guys.
And it'll mean a lot to them knowing that you remember that moment.
One of the best ways to be a better friend is show up for their wins and their hard moments.
when you are there for someone at their lowest and of course at their highest,
but just knowing that you're there for them at every season and chapter of their life
is what makes such a good friend.
And I promise you that will never go unnoticed.
When it comes to balancing your social life,
which can be hard, especially if you have a work or school or just a life in general,
it can be hard to balance your social life.
Let me remind you, you do not need to have plans every single day.
If you had plans with every single day, your social battery would be negative 100.
So you have to refuel and have a loan time in order to refuel to get back to be social again.
Make sure to still prioritize your alone time and don't neglect yourself to maintain friendships.
Even if you think, oh, I should say yes to these plans since I haven't hung out with these people,
but I'm so exhausted and I need to rest.
Rest because I guarantee you there will be many more opportunities to hang out with your friends.
And at the end of the day, it's you who matters and you have to refuel and take care of yourself to be a better friend.
And that goes to say if you're having FOMO and everyone's going out except for you,
you do not need to be included in everything.
Do not feel sad if you were not invited to a certain birthday party or plans,
unless it's your really close friends,
then I would be sad if I wasn't invited to their birthday party.
But I'm trying to just say, in general plans,
you don't need to be included in everything.
So someone else's plans also don't determine your worth.
I have specific friends.
I invite for specific plans.
and certain friends I just don't invite for specific plans I'm going to do.
So let me remind you that that person who's making these plans,
they do not determine your worth and everyone has friends for different things.
Start creating a social life that you genuinely enjoy and not just trying to be someone you're not.
Please know if you were someone who just is struggling with not a lot of friends
or you're having a hard time making friends, you are not alone.
Someone else listening to this is 100% feeling the same way.
And the amount of times I felt this, having this hard feeling of not knowing of how to make friends and how to navigate friendships has happened more times than I can count in my life.
So please remember that you're not alone.
And I promise you if you stay true to yourself and true to who you are, you will attract the right people into your life and the people who actually understand you and love you as a person.
I also want to mention there are such things as having friendships online.
So many of you guys have become friends actually from comment.
in the Spotify comment section and just over my Instagram and TikTok in general.
And that just makes me so happy.
So if you need an online friend who loves the same type of busy yet pretty style, you know
that there's someone in the comment section who would love to make friends.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did recording it.
As much as we're talking about friendships, the most important friendship to have is the one
with yourself.
So it's so important to nurture that and just take care of yourself and treat yourself as you
would your own friend because you are the only person you're going to spend the most time
with in your life. If you enjoy this episode, make sure you leave a podcast review over Apple
