Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the busy yet pretty podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. I'm so excited for today's episode because these topics are my favorite to talk about. Because I'm so excited, I just want to get straight into today's episode. Starting off with the weekly review, this week I've been really trying to prioritize daily movement and let me tell you, it feels so good. I know it's cliche for people to say, oh, add movement in your day, add healthy foods, add healthy habit. When you do, that just goes to show that cliche things are cliche for a reason because these things actually work. You cannot deny it but going to Pilates at a nice hotel on a summer day with the wind blowing with your friend, followed by Airwant smoothies and a nice
Starting point is 00:01:00 lunch is exactly what I needed for a summer day. Another thing this week is I have been visiting YouTube again. I am so excited because I've already filmed two videos and I'm actually having so much fun doing it when I really authentically film it and not be such a perfectionist about it. Instead of having the all or nothing mindset, I've been doing it more freely and it feels so good and I'm looking so forward to starting it again. Another thing this week is I have been really good at keeping up with tasks. So when tasks arrive instead of procrastinating them, I just kind of do it head first.
Starting point is 00:01:47 And let me tell you, I've accomplished so much by doing that. Other than that, this week I've been just relaxing by the pool and really trying to consciously be positive. It can get easy to get your head wrapped in stress and other things. And it's always good to make conscious effort to be positive. even if you're not feeling it. And I see such a difference when I actually consciously affirm positive emotions and really just acknowledge what I'm grateful for. So being consciously positive has been something that I really tried to dial in on this week.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Moving on to my current obsessions of this week. Okay, guys, let me tell you my current obsession right now is oatmeal. I am back on my oatmeal kick, but I absolutely changed my oatmeal game when I added this vanilla a chai like protein powder in it. It has taken my oatmeal bowls to the next level. It's so healthy and has protein in it and it literally just tastes like a dessert for breakfast and it's so, so good. I'll link the protein powder over my Instagram stories, but it is the best protein powder in my oatmeal ever and just makes the bowls so good. Another current obsession is Pilates and Lagree. I love both Pilates and Legree. If you don't know what Lagri is, it's basically
Starting point is 00:03:06 like Pilates and almost like a reformer machine, but it's a little different type of style Pilates. But I swear every single time I do Legri, my booty and my abs are literally feeling plump and ripped. Like, I absolutely feel it the next day and I am sore for days later. But it just makes me feel so good. So I've been obsessed with going to LaGri lately. Another obsession is exfoliating before my shower.
Starting point is 00:03:35 This is something that I always do, but it just reminded me how much it makes such a difference when I had a lymphatic drainage the other day and she fully exfoliated my body and I left so smooth and soft and that just reminded me to stay consistent with exfoliating. So I love it. And by exfoliating, I mean dry brushing because dry brushing is a way to exfoliate your skin. but I will also use an exfoliator in the shower, which is like a scrub. But exfoliating and dry brushing my skin just makes such a big difference. It makes my skin so smooth and soft. And my last current obsession is my silk pillowcases from Hair Love. Moving on to my goal of the week. My goal of the week is to start doing more morning
Starting point is 00:05:18 and evening meditations. I did a meditation the other day in bed, and it really just gave me a better peace of mind and totally relaxed my brain. I swear, I want to start doing this often because it really did help a lot. I used this free app called Insight Timer and it has all these free like audios or meditation so I love that app and that's been really helpful. Another goal of week is to make some travel plans. I have stocked up flight credit and I need a book to go somewhere
Starting point is 00:05:48 so definitely want to get something in the books for this year or next year. I really want to do my first solo trip but I have no clue where to go so if you guys have any recommendations, definitely message me and tell me where you have gone on your solo trip or where a good place would be to go. Something I'm aiming to do this week more is let go of items I don't need because I will always make a reason onto why I need an item or I'll put a story behind it when I'm like, no, I don't need this. Stop trying to make a reason why I need this item. If I need it, I can go buy it again, but I don't need this right now. So I need to let it go instead of just holding onto something forever and not using it. I'm not going to lie, I am such a hoarder. I always have been,
Starting point is 00:06:33 but I want to live a really stress-free minimal lifestyle, so I want to try to get some things out of my place and just have less things. Another goal of the week is I want to start adding more decor in my place. As I said, I've been searching on Pinterest and then I get distracted. I see something else I need in my life. Then I purchase it. Please, someone stop me. I love shopping so much. but I more just love browsing. I'm such a browser. I love to just window shop and look for inspo. That's honestly my favorite thing to do.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Moving on to an affirmation. The kind energy I put outward to the universe, I receive doubled. I love that affirmation so much, and I think it's so good to affirm this to yourself. And moving on to the self-love question is, am I giving myself a break when I mentally and physically need it? Ask yourself this question. I think it's so good.
Starting point is 00:07:26 good to really ask herself, am I giving myself everything I need and the breaks I need when I both physically and mentally need it? With that being said, my loves, let's get into today's episode. Today's episode is on the guide to feeling clean and classy.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Us golden class girls, or however you identify as, love to feel clean and classy. Don't we all? We love to feel clean and classy. and classy. With lots of self-care, trial and error, I feel like I finally crack the code to finding out what is the best things to feel clean and classy. So let's get straight into this. And also, everything I talk about in this episode will be listed over my Amazon storefront. So it's easy for you guys to find the links to. So many of you guys love the Golden Class Girl episode, which I'm so beyond happy to hear. And I feel like this really does tie into the
Starting point is 00:10:23 essentials for a golden class girl. So I'm really excited for today. These are all ways that you can feel clean and classy and this is to feel good for yourself. Again, nobody but yourself. And nothing feels better than actually feeling so fresh inside and out. I feel like our goal is to feel clean and classy, both mentally and physically. I feel that a lot of the time that we put towards our mental self-care and all the work that we put towards our mental state radiates to our appearance and vice versa i feel that a lot of the time we spend on our physical appearance it will radiate and improve our mental state so what i'm trying to say is what you put time into will radiate outward into other aspects of your life and yourself so the way you care for yourself
Starting point is 00:11:14 again this is both mental and physical will impact your mood your job your people your physical appearance, and your overall entire life. Imagine there's two plants, exactly the same two plants, but there are two plants. One, you water and give it sunlight and take care of it. Plant number two, you put in a dark room, you give it no attention, no water, no sun. Plant one is obviously going to thrive and continue to grow. And plant two, that's not being taken care of, not being fed, and just sitting in your dark room is going to slowly die.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Out of those two plants, what plant do you want to be? Number one or number two? This is in your hands. Do you want to be the plant that grows and thrives and is happy or the plant that is slowly dying? I don't think it's plant number two, so let's take to plant number one and feel good about ourselves and take care of ourselves as we should.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Let's start talking about how you can, feel clean and classy. So number one is good hygiene. Hygiene is so important. Again, this is all for mental and physical and this is something that's for physical, but can result in improving your mental state. For good hygiene, try to shower once a day is great if you do twice, then that's also great. Start showering at least once a day, wash your face every morning and night, create a good, nice, structured skincare routine for yourself. I'm not talking about top quality products or a long skin routine. I'm talking about a structured routine where you know what to do every morning and night.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Create a skincare routine that works good for you. Even if that means it's two products or one product. It doesn't need to be a 10-step, 15-step, Fogue Beauty Secret skincare routine because you are your own Vogue beauty secrets. If you only need to use one product, wow, look at you. You don't even need more than one. That's perfect.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Use as many products as you like, something that you're excited to start doing to take care of your skin morning and night. Next up, start giving yourself lymphatic drainage on your face or guasha your face. You can purchase a guasha or you can do it with your hands. Scolpting your face with your hands or a guasha can really help just drain excess water weight and really makes your face feel all nice and sculpted.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Add a little face mask or an eye mask to your routine. If you see me at 7 a.m. with the eye mask on, just know I'm living my life and truly feeling like a golden class girl. The nice thing about eye masks are they're usually not very expensive for a large pack of them so you can do some eye mask or do a face mask. Something I used to do is put yogurt and cucumbers as a fast. face mask, inexpensive, you don't even have to buy an actual face mask because there's enzymes in there. There's a lot of different things that you can do. That doesn't necessarily mean you have to purchase things. Yet still get benefits and feel good about yourself. Next up is dry brushing. As I said, I love to exfoliate and dry brush. That is something that I think is a great investment.
Starting point is 00:14:34 It's literally $5 on Amazon in my storefront. And it's quite literally life changing to your skin. Also, after dry brushing, it's so nice to follow up with the lymphatic drainage tool after your shower. After your shower, putting on oil and pairing it with the lymphatic drainage tool to just sculpt your body. It feels so nice. This is not something I do every day. I'll do it once a week or once every two weeks, but it just feels really nice when you do it and gets rid of excess water retention and just makes your body feel super nice. And also, the oil just makes you feel so glowing and beautiful. step is shower essentials. Okay, my shower essential that I am obsessed with right now is a foot scrubber.
Starting point is 00:15:19 I love me a good foot scrubber, so good. I have the one I use over my Amazon storefront. My mom bought it for me and I was like, this is the best foot scrubber I've ever had. It's like a pack for for under $10. And my heels feel so soft and just so smooth. Another shower essential is a hair scrubber. It's like a handheld wooden tool that has rubber at the end and it just scrubs your hair and really gets out all the oils from your hair when you're washing your hair and I found my hair to be so much more cleaner after doing that. So that is one of my favorite products as well as exfoliator gloves. I always use my exfoliator gloves in the shower every single day and it truly just scrubs my body so much nicer than a washcloth. Absolutely love those. Moving on to post-shower essentials. I love my castor oil packs. I started doing castor oil packs the past three weeks when I heard it could possibly induce periods and break down ovarian cyst. So I've been doing castor oil packs in hopes to induce my period. But as I've been doing that, I noticed that I've been a lot less bloated waking up since doing them. They've been a really nice way for me to not wake up bloated in the morning. I don't think you guys realize how much investing in self-care boost up your confidence so much. Sometimes I'm just
Starting point is 00:16:47 feeling so gross and so yucky and then I just do a full self-care reset and I put some time into doing some self-care and then I'm like, oh wait, um, I'm actually hot. I forgot I'm actually a golden class girl. I feel good. I look good. Um, I forgot that self-care is so essential. Stop putting self-care on the last part of your to-do list. Listen to that again. Stop putting self-care last on your to-do list because guess what you're doing? You're putting yourself last. Stop putting your job first.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Stop putting your work first. Of course you have to do those things. Of course there's mandatory life tasks you have to complete. But stop pushing it off. Prioritize your self-care as much as you're prioritizing your work, your school life, cleaning and all the other tasks. If you feel it's hard to put time into yourself, think about how hard it is to not feel good about yourself. I know you've been there. I've been there. Maybe you're in that position right now feeling so bad about yourself. If you think it's hard to put time into yourself,
Starting point is 00:17:58 you have to remember how bad it feels after you've put no time into yourself. Start feeling good for you. You deserve to feel good. It's not a job. It's not a chore. It's a reward in the necessity to feel good. You deserve to feel good. Invest in a signature fragrance. Do something that's going to make you feel good. Starting point is 00:20:49 Now moving away from beauty, let's talk about how to feel clean and classy with habits because healthy habits create a happy girl. Number one, make your damn bed. Stop with excuses. Make your bed. Okay. It takes up. under a minute, yet you procrastinate it, and instead of taking one minute to make your bed, it's taking up hours in your mind as a task. Instead of just simply making your bed. Another thing is limit your screen time. I'm guilty of it too. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:21:23 It's so easy to just endlessly scroll and I'm still working on it personally. But limit your screen time. I'm sure you cannot remember at all last week what you were looking at at this time. but I'm sure if you were out and about and doing an actual physical thing in real life, you would remember that more than anything that you looked at on your phone. Something that can really help you limit your screen time and actually take time away from your phone is find a hobby that's hands-on and not have to do with your phone.
Starting point is 00:21:56 That may be reading or crafting, baking. I personally love to just have a book to pick up, and that's been really helpful rather than just keep scrolling. Another thing to feel really clean and classy is read the secret. That book will alter your brain for the rest of your life. I'm telling you that is the reason why I have achieved all that I've achieved and live the lifestyle I do is from the secret. I live by the secret and I've also right now been reading The Mountain as you. That's also a book I really, really recommend.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Start having discipline for yourself in every aspect of your life. Start treating yourself like a prize because you're just, You are a prize. Take care of yourself. You have your back. Nobody else. Begin doing these things for you because you love yourself. Create a routine for yourself. Don't start tomorrow. Don't start this week. Don't start today. Start now. Create a routine for yourself. Have structure because that will make you feel so much better about your lifestyle and yourself when you're actually organized. Starting point is 00:24:28 Now kisses, or as I should say, B-Soo, back to talking about endlessly scrolling. start scrolling on Pinterest rather than Instagram and TikTok. Don't get me wrong, I love both those apps, but sometimes you need a social detox because it can become easy to compare yourself because you're most likely comparing yourself to people you personally know because you're following them over Instagram or you get way to invest it in other people's lives
Starting point is 00:24:54 over Instagram and TikTok and all those social apps. If you go on Pinterest, it's a nice way to receive inspiration and motivation from images without comparing yourself because most likely you don't know the person in the photo. So you could just scroll for a long time and that can give you motivation rather than just looking at other people's lives who you know. I'll just scroll on Pinterest for like 30 minutes and I swear I am just seeing all these lifestyles.
Starting point is 00:25:22 I dream of living and it completely motivates me because of my head it's if she can do it, I can do it. Take a step outside of your body. and look at the beautiful person you are. Romanticize what you do in your life and romanticize who you are. You may not like your room, your hair, or your kitchen, or your house, or your clothes, or your jewelry. It's because you're used to it. If you sell your room on Pinterest or if you sell your favorite influencer have your room,
Starting point is 00:25:52 I'm sure you'd love that room. You just may be super used to what you have, so it doesn't feel as good as exciting versus something new. If you're able to, then switch things up in your life, change things, improve things to make you feel excited about it. If you can't do a full room makeover, switch your decor around in your room. Make it new and exciting. When I stop consuming actual lives online and begin to actually consume just inspiration over Pinterest or inspiration in the outside world, I feel so much more motivated and excited. I understand that taking the first step to feeling good is hard, but the result of the result of, staying still and complacent is harder. You know that feeling when you get when you finally find
