Hello, my love.
Welcome to The Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley.
If you're new here, welcome. I talk all about how to become the best version of you,
routines, and honestly, everything's seasonal. I think seasons are just a perfect way to tap
into a fresh start, and you know we are getting into talking all about summer.
So I'm very excited to talk to you about that, especially today. Today's going to be a very summer
episode. Today's episode is the guide to getting excited for summer. So we're going to talk about new routines,
hobby ideas and honestly just having a new fresh start for the season. But before we get into today's
episode, let's do our weekly review. This week, I had a very intense closet clean out and I have been
dreading this, but I kid you not, it has just made me feel so much lighter. And now it's motivated me
to clean even more things out. And I'm just feeling excited and more like ready to just welcome in new
summer wardrobe. Now that I've gotten rid of things, I know I'm no longer going to wear anymore. And it just is
kind of like a little restock because I, okay, like I said, I have been shopping quite a bit lately.
So I have a little new summer pieces.
So I feel like in order to bring new things in, I have to get rid of some things I don't wear
anymore.
And not just physically, but mentally.
Like I have to do that for my mental space.
I have to just clean things out that I'm not using anymore.
But also because my closet literally cannot hold another hanger.
So I have to physically clean things out.
Another thing this week is I've been entering a fresh start summer.
era. I feel like every new season, it's just a chance to have a fresh start. And I'm definitely
feeling that. I'm feeling very inspired, feeling very ready and excited to just have that new
fresh feeling for the summer. And lastly this week, I have just been trying to manage my stomach
issues. They have been so bad this past month. But my doctor said I have visceral hypersensitivity.
So anyways, I'm just trying to manage it and figure out how to not be in pain 24-7. But of course,
lowering my stress, having a structured routine are all things that are going to help and can help you
with anything that you may be going through. Now into the current obsession of the week. My current
session right now is a reading. I just love reading. And okay, with that, I'm out of my reading slump.
But with that, book to screen adaptations, I just love nothing more than a book to screen adaptation.
I watched off campus. It was really good. It's not like my favorite style of show. I like less school.
related shows and more like summer escapes and like summer seasonal theme shows, which is where I am so
excited for every year after. I just cannot wait to binge watch the series. Every summer after
is my favorite book. So I'm very excited. Another crowd session right now is a measly cereal.
I just love measly. No one talks about it. It is so underrated, but it is one of the best
serials of all time. I love the Seven Sundays brand. There's just like the best measly. It has
dates in it, currants and oats and it just tastes amazing. Almonds, oh, so good. Lastly, my
current obsession right now is watching my bird feeder. I have a cute little bird feeder and it just
is so cute. I love watching the little birds throughout the day go on it. So that is my current
obsessions. Now on to the goal of the week. My goal of the week right now is to go on a morning jog.
I have not gone on a jog in forever just when I was dealing with all my health things. And now I'm trying
and get back into walking and jogging.
So I would love to go on a morning jog.
Another thing is I want to start waking up around 5.30 a.m.
But that entails me going to sleep earlier the night before.
And I have been watching Desper Housewives much too late into the night recently.
So I want to start going to bed earlier and just waking up around 5.30 a.m.
I feel like that time, my mind is just so quiet and at peace and it just feels like the world is
asleep and I have a head start.
I just love it.
And lastly, this week, is.
I wanted to clutter more unused clothes and items.
Like I said, I had a closet clean out, which felt so nice and refreshing.
But I want to go through my storage unit and go through just things I know that I just have been saving,
but then I'm like, oh, I'm going to wear one day.
But then it just sits and I never do wear it.
Now for your affirmation of the week, this will be my best summer yet.
It will be exactly like what I have been dreaming of the past few years.
I love that affirmation so much because I feel like we all romanticized summer.
and then we have this idea of what we're going to do, and then sometimes we do none of it.
And that's okay.
Things happen, and sometimes we just didn't have the energy or the confidence or whatever it is to carry out that idea that we had,
which is why this episode is going to be perfect if you were just needing that motivation and excitement to get ready for summer.
Now on to your self-love question of the week.
What do I love about myself that nobody has complimented me yet?
I love that question so much because I feel like we all have that thing that we love so much about our
secretly that nobody else has really complimented us for.
So think about that and compliment yourself.
Now on to the podcast review.
If you want to be featured on next week's episode, make sure to leave a podcast review over
Apple Podcasts and leave a rating over Spotify.
Also, if you have been listening to the episodes, I would absolutely love to see how you
listen to the episodes, whether you tag me through Instagram and Instagram story, a TikTok.
I absolutely just love reposting them.
And this review is from Mia.
and Mia said, when I found your podcast, I was skeptical.
I thought nothing could get better.
But it did, and now I can enjoy my life and be busy at pretty,
all because of my online big sister, Jaden.
Mia, that is so sweet, and I'm so glad your life has been getting better.
That truly just brings me so much joy to hear, and I am so beyond proud of you.
And I'm glad I've been able to make your life better,
but let's see if I can make your summer better with today's episode,
which I'm very excited about, which is, like I said, the guide to getting
excited for summer, new routines, hobby ideas, and just having a fresh start. In the summer,
I love to have consistency in my routine, especially with my health, since sometimes in the summer,
I swear I'm just like wrapped up in the plans and going to adventure and go places. And while all of that is
great, it's still important to be consistent on your routines and your health, which is why I love
AG1. AG1 is a daily health drink with a multivitamin, pre and probiotics, superfoods, and antioxidants,
with just one scoop in eight ounces of water.
It truly is so easy.
I will just have a water bottle on the go
and then I'll just add my scoop of AG1
and I love knowing that I am doing what I need for my health
but also not having to invest so much time into it if I'm busy.
It truly just makes it so easy to have consistency in my health.
Literally I love AG1.
My dad is such an AG1 guy.
We all love AG1 here.

First spring, one of my favorite things has been my nails and when my nails are done
because sometimes I just don't have time to go to the nail salon to do my nails.
So I'll do them at home.
The funny thing is I actually bring the same nail polish to the nail salon because it's
just that good and I swear by it.
I do the Olive and June gel polish and LHG and then a gel top coat.
I use the Olive and June manny system.
Everything you need in one box for a salon quality manicure.
I love how it doesn't chip and it lasts for seven or more days.
Not only that, it comes down to being only $2 per manicure,
which is a lot more affordable than going to the nail salon.
But it has just been my current spring obsession because it just makes doing your nails at home so easy.
So if you're looking for a new manicure routine, I really recommend it.

Summer hasn't officially started according to the date yet, but I feel like a majority of people are out of school,
so summer is kind of basically starting.
I feel like when people are out of school is when it's like, okay, now it's officially summer.
But if you have been feeling like summer's starting, but nothing is feeling different yet,
and maybe you're wanting that fresh start but not knowing actually
how to create it. So we're going to talk about small realistic shifts that you can do in your summer
routine to make it feel more like summer and just romanticize it and not having a perfect summer
because let's be honest, you maybe don't have the money like majority of us to travel the world
or to constantly go shopping or do all these things. And that's okay. You don't need to be in a different
country on a boat to have the best summer. You can have the best summer from being at home doing a hobby.
literally some of my happiest times are when I'm sitting in bed watching like the summer I turned pretty
and in my bed like water coloring like that to me is so much happiness and makes me feel excited for summer
so remember you don't need to have a ton of money or a ton of travel plans in order to have a good
summer or a ton of friends this can be done with just you yourself and you so before we do anything
it's good to have a little like check in I feel like before we get into summer so let's do a closet
a clean out. So notice just how much of your space is affecting your mind. There's so much things that we
have maybe on our desk, our bed, or things just piled up, laundry, or too much clothes. Things or
trash, whatever it is, can be weighing us down mentally. So it's so important to have this closet
clean out, this room clean out, this deep clean on our room in our house and our apartment to make us
feel like we have that fresh start, especially when moving into a new season. I feel like moving into
new season. There is nothing better than just having a big clean out and organization deep clean.
And it's going to make you just have a fresh canvas to work from. And this is also going to be
finding calm and simple routines, reading and just having slow moments during the day.
You don't have to have a jam pack summer. We all want different things. You maybe are someone who
wants a booked and busy every single day. There's something in summer. Or you may be the person
who wants a very chill summer because you already live a very hectic, crazy busy life.
So of course, tailor this according to how your life is and what best fits your needs.
But I do have to say, no matter what, we are not going to sit in all summer long and do absolutely
nothing where our days feel like a broken record.
We want to have some variety in our day.
Even if that's doing different hobbies every single day at home, that's perfect.
But we're not going to stay at home and do absolutely nothing, doom scroll and just feel
unhappy and wish we had a different life throughout summer.
Let's talk about what it means getting excited for summer.
excitement comes from things that we want to do and most of all not overwhelming ourselves.
I feel like sometimes jampacking too many plans like I said can feel so stressful.
So it's about actually being intentional.
What do we actually want to do this summer?
And it's sometimes better to have a few little things that you're going to plan on doing this
summer than having a non-stop booked and busy everyday plans.
So maybe you're like, you know, I want to take myself on a little staycation or I want
to have a little camping outside in my backyard day.
That's fine if you do maybe something once a week that you look forward to rather than having
every single day booked with something.
Again, it's really just tailored to how you want it to be.
And also, you're not going to feel excited about summer unless you begin putting in the action.
Sometimes it's the small changes that we feel the after part of once we do it, it's like,
okay, now we're excited for summer.
It's not usually the before.
One of my favorite things to do before every season is I'll hop on Pinterest for like a week.
and I'm constantly scrolling, getting a new mood board, putting down things I want to do, intentions,
or even just writing them down of just a list of things that I want to do and intentions that I want to
achieve. And just doing that gets you in the mode and in the feeling of being like, okay, all this
is realistic and I can do this myself. And it also gives you a feeling of, okay, if someone else can do it,
I can do it. Let's start talking about summer routine ideas. And again, this will all be tailored to
your schedule and what fits your needs and what you like doing.
But something that you could do in the morning is waking up a bit earlier and then going
outside as soon as you wake up, not going on your phone, or if you want to do this and
you're used to going on your phone, put on a summer show as soon as you wake up to have it
playing in the background, go outside, get some fresh air, do some stretching.
Like when I go outside and get some like movement and stretching and just like flail my arms around
and stuff and get my blood going and my circulation going.
I swear it just makes me feel so good, awake and motivated.
And also, I want you to focus on consistency, not perfection.
And I will always say that because consistency will win over perfection.
But just having a more structured routine, even in the summer, of course, maybe you have
a structured routine all the time.
So you're thinking, I want a more relaxed routine.
That's perfect too.
But I want you to be able to still have structure where you're not just thinking,
okay, every day you wake up, you just don't know what to do.
And of course, it can feel nice to be like, oh, the world is my oyster.
You can do anything you want today.
But also have some sort of idea of being like, okay, every day I wake up, I am going to go make my
match or my coffee in the morning and sit outside.
Some bit of something for you to look forward to.
So you have some sort of direction that you can go from.
Another thing, like I said, no phone first in the morning.
So just get some water, some light, and have some stillness.
Maybe you want to start doing more breathwork or maybe you want to start meditating.
Those are things I always said I would do and I really never put the time into it.
But I kid you not, once I started doing it because my doctors needed me to do it from my health,
I kid you not, it has done such a difference on me.
And I'm telling you, it could make such a difference on your stress, your happiness,
and just feeling overall more content.
And when it comes to starting a new morning routine and any routine in general,
it's so important to anchor one habit at a time, not a full routine.
it can be so hard to just switch onto a brand new routine.
You can write down your routine that you want to have
or have it in your mind of an envision of a routine
that you want to have for summer for the morning.
But overnight, you're not going to have that.
Because if you do it overnight, then the next day it may be a little hard.
If you're thinking, okay, I want to get up at 5.30, go to the gym.
I'm going to go on a walk and I'm going to watch a little summer show.
All those things are definitely a change from your normal regular routine.
So it's going to take a second to a week.
adjust so slowly start adding just one thing at a time in your routine for it to be an easy
transition now when it comes to a midday summer routine have one must do like one feel good thing
that you're going to do every single day midday so that could be making your morning or your midday
matcha or your coffee going on a color walk that's when you go in a walk and just look for things like
you pick a color and be like okay I'm going to look for everything blue on my walk today and you just go look
for everything blue on your walk or putting on a podcast, maybe a busy yet pretty episode while
you're on a walk. So doing something that you can look forward to. That could even be like
watercoloring or coloring where every single day you take like 30 minutes to do that midday
and it's something to look forward to you and again practicing having that structure.
Another thing is eating in a way that supports your energy, not your stress. It can be so easy
to just want to sit in bed all day and graze and don't get me wrong.
have those days. You need to have those days to fuel your soul and make you happy where you just sit in bed,
watch TV, and just eat snacks all day. But those days should be not an everyday thing because it's just
not going to make you feel great. It's going to make you feel groggy. So have those days sparingly once
and a while where you just have those days where you just lay in bed, watch your summer show,
and eat all your favorite snacks. But you don't need to be doing that every single day because it's
just going to make you feel tired and not awake or energized. So make sure to have good balance.
Remember that 8020 rule is such a great thing to live by where 80% of the time it's whole foods
and things that are really fueling your energy and your body. And that 20% be what feeds your soul.
So maybe your favorite ice cream, chips, whatever they are. Something that's really important,
especially in the summer, is rest without needing to earn it. You do not need to earn rest.
Whenever you feel like taking a nap and you have the opportunity to take your nap,
there is nothing that you need to do to earn that.
You deserve it.
And I'm telling you, if you allow your body to relax and refuel by taking a little nap,
you're going to feel better and perform better throughout the day and feel more refueled
and energized and feeling able that you can be awake and enjoy things, sometimes when you
take those power naps.
So many times I used to fight it and try not to, but I've learned over time when I'm really
needing one and I have the opportunity to where I'm.
I'm at home, take it. I need to take the nap because I'm going to feel so much better and more
energized the rest of the day. Now into your evening routine. So when it comes to the summer evening
routine, have the same wind down sequence to just signal a shutdown in your brain where it's like,
okay, if you're going to bed, if you're aiming to go to bed around 11, at 10.30, don't start vacuuming
your house and putting on TV. You don't need to be doing that or that's waking you back up.
have a wind-down routine. Maybe an hour before bed, you turn off the TV, you stop doing anything,
you're in bed without your phone, and all you're doing is reading. You're reading and that's getting
your body quiet and relaxed for bedtime. It's so important in the evenings that you do less scrolling,
having less stimulation before bed, because again, that's only going to mess with your circadian rhythm
and wake you back up. Also, keep nights predictable for your nervous system, even though we want to have those
spur the moment, do different things nights. And that's so important. If you have the opportunity,
let me take a pause right here. If you have the opportunity to go, let's say, on a quick ice cream
run. And it's literally nine o'clock on night and your friend ask, do you want to go get ice cream?
Go. Literally do not change your routine and think, oh my gosh, I have to stay on routine to feel
good. I have to stay on routine to have structure. The point of summer and life is to enjoy and have
the sporadic moments. So realize, if you get off routine or if something comes up,
Never pass on an opportunity to have an experience. Go experience it. And tomorrow you can get back on your
routine. There's nothing to be ashamed of and there's no pressure to have a structured routine.
This is just in general. If you don't know what to do during your days and you need some sort of
structure, that's where it's good to have structure. But if you have the opportunity to change up your
routine, to go get ice cream at in the night or to go on a fun evening bike ride, go do it. You don't need
to have that perfect structured routine. The only thing that's,
here for is for you when you don't know what to do and you're feeling like, okay, I'm groggy,
I have low energy, I'm getting off track. That's where a structured routine can be really helpful.
Long story short, like I said, keep nights predictable for your nervous system and just keeping
yourself calm. Now let's talk about hobby ideas for the summer. I love nothing more than hobbies.
I literally love hobbies. Since I was younger, I've been so crafty and just a hobbies girl.
Like my version of going out and like partying is like,
literally having a grandma night in. That's literally me. Like, I love to just have a cozy night in
and just do my hobbies. To me, that's better than anything. That's like my epitome of a perfect
night. But let's talk about some low energy, realistic hobbies that you can do that are very
low pressure and just that you can relax doing shit off your brain. Something you do is reading
at your own pace. It's not about how many books you finish in a month or how many books you're trying
or get through as fast as you can.
It's about enjoyment.
Books are not just to be sped through.
Relax, enjoy.
It can be a just relaxing book that you can pick up any time.
There's no pressure.
You can carry it in your bag.
You can pick it up whenever you're bored.
There's no pressure.
Just having a book that you can pick up is so perfect.
Another one is bird watching and just noticing nature.
Maybe you want to just look outside for 10 minutes while not touching your phone and just enjoy nature.
Maybe you want to get a bird house or make a bird house.
Put it outside so you can watch it every day when the birth come visit.
Another thing is simple repetitive hobbies such as music, podcasts, organizing, cooking basics.
Like all those things are very simple and repetitive things that you can do in your daily life.
That isn't even necessarily a hobby, but it is a hobby.
But it can turn into like a repetitive hobby that you do every day that almost just integrates itself into your routine.
Now some creative hobbies that you could do is get a camera that like prints out like,
a little like film camera and do casual like photo logs of your day or you can do this on your phone
but just take maybe a few photos like per like hour or per day that you want to do and just put it
together it can be the cutest little summer scrapbook and speaking of scrapbooks make a scrapbook
all the photos that you do for this summer put it into a scrapbook it can be something that you
look forward to and have fun doing make mood boards this could be physical or like where you
printing out and cutting out like from magazines or you can do this on Pinterest but just having a mood
board based on your feelings so maybe if you're having like a very like beachy type of summary feel
make a beachy type of mood board or maybe you're feeling more like you want to get on your fitness
grind make a fitness style mood board or a grandma hobby mood board whatever it is make mood boards
based on your feelings so you can always refer back to them and just gets you inspired and motivated
And lastly, when it comes to creative hobbies, something that you could do if you were someone
who's trying to get into content is just maybe soft content creation.
Like make some videos.
Literally.
Like I see you guys tag me in your videos and they are so cute.
Like I am obsessed and just maybe do a day in your life video.
It doesn't matter who's singing.
It doesn't matter who's judging.
They people, whatever they think, they can literally shove their opinion up their butt.
Like it literally doesn't matter.
when I was in high school, I kid you not, people were pulling up my videos in class watching them laughing at me.
Guess what? I continued through with it regardless if they were going to make fun of me or not.
And I have to say, it turned up pretty well since this is my full-time job.
And my podcast is always in the Spotify charts of education.
So that just is to show you where I'm no different than you.
You can literally be doing what I'm doing.
Of course, it tastes lots of hard work and effort.
But I kid you not, if I can do it, you.
you a thousand percent can do it. Another thing you could do when it comes to hobbies for movement,
maybe go on walks with no goals. It can be so easy to set goals for ourselves. And then when we don't
achieve it, it can feel very just disappointing. So instead of setting a, I'm going to walk this many
miles a day, if that doesn't work for you, just think I'm going to walk every single day.
It doesn't matter how long it is, how short it is. It just matters is that I'm consistent and I show up
every day for myself and walk.
Another movement hobby that you could do is light jogs for mental clarity, not jogging
because you want to tone up, but you can do that, but maybe not jogging for something specifically
for your physical health, but jogging for your mental health.
Sometimes we just tie movement and exercise to our physical health.
And while that is so important, our mental health has such an impact when we have movement.
So maybe moving just for the purpose of your mental clarity.
same when it comes to stretching stretching can be for relief not discipline so maybe you want to have some
outside yoga or outside stretching and it doesn't have to be a long in-depth class or in-depth thing
it can literally just be stretching from your backyard in the morning for two minutes i have a lot more hobbies
i'm going to throw at you because i just love talking about hobbies especially for the summer
but another one that's like a solo quiet hobby you can do is weekly cafe journaling so maybe you go to the same
spot, the same cafe, and get the same drink, and just something that you can do, again,
having structure and something to look forward to every week, knowing that you're going to go
to the cafe, you're going to journal, you're going to get your favorite drink and sit at the
same spot. Another thing you could do is walks with just one album or one podcast only. So not
switching through a ton of things, but just switching, picking one thing, thinking, okay, I'm going to
listen to this one podcast episode or I'm going to listen to this one album. Another thing you could do
is collecting small daily moments.
That could be photos of the sky, little receipts, leaves, anything that you pick up
and put together a little summer memory box.
I always have a memory box going for like per, I would say six months and then it fills up
and then I put it into my storage unit.
But anything, like it can be receipts or like a fun if you go to a concert, put the concert
tickets in there.
Little things you can just put in to remember your fun memories.
Or instead, if you don't want to do a memory box, you can always.
always just added to a scrapbook. Now when it comes to reading-based hobbies, you can do a book
adaptation pairing where if there is a show right now that's out that has, it's like a book adaptation,
you could read, let's say, the off-campus series and then watch the show or vice versa.
Or read every summer after and one golden summer and then watch every year after.
I remember a few years ago when I did that with the summer I turned pretty and it made me so happy
and it truly was one of the best summers because I really just was so immersed in the book and the series.
Another thing you could do is have a little like emotional journal on each book.
So every time you finish a book, write a page about how you felt about that book.
Or you can even, you know, do it on good reads.
But if you want a little private thing that you could do, just write a page of how you felt after you read each book.
And it gives a little own personal rating.
And then another thing when it comes to a reading hobby is slow.
re-reads with light annotations. So maybe you loved a book so much and you're so sad it's over.
R reread the book. Even if you know what you read and what happens, rereading it, I guarantee you're
going to find things that you missed in the book. And also just giving it like little light
annotations where you're writing in the book and like dissecting it or highlighting things that
you loved in it can make it so personalized and something that you keep forever and you can refer
back to how much you love that area of the book. Some other little fun.
creative hobbies that you could do is have mood playlists when it comes to your music. So maybe wherever
you're listening to this podcast or your music make playlist depending on your mood. So maybe a morning
summer playlist, a midday summer playlist, a beach playlist or like an evening summer
wind down routine playlist. And it just makes you get in that mood and just really feels like
you're romanticizing summer in the season. Let's say you're someone who just does not like journaling,
Maybe instead you can do voice note journaling where you just get on your voice memos and or you're like, take a video of yourself talking and just record how you feel.
It can be like a little audio library for you.
Now let's talk about some out of the house calm hobbies that you can do.
So it could be going to the same park at different times of the day.
So maybe you find a park that you love and you just go sit there and relax, read your book, needlepoint, whatever it is, but just going to somewhere that you love in the same spot.
another thing is starting a garden that's what i'm doing and i'm having so much fun i am i've been like kind of
like posting my progress of my garden i just finished building the garden beds and now i'm going to
add the soil so i if you want like ideas for gardens you can follow along over my ticot and
instagram but have your own little herb garden it can be so fun to just tend to and you can take
photos of your herbs and see the progress and how it's going and lastly it's something that you could do
for an out-of-the-house, calm hobby is have a slow grocery store browsing, like the aisles walk.
You don't need to go to the grocery store each time to go to get your to-do list and your groceries for the week.
Sometimes you can go and just relax and see what there is.
And sometimes looking and seeing all the new snacks or all the new produce can make you feel inspired to cook something that you haven't tried before.
Okay, when it comes to gentle structure hobbies, having a weekly one-hour reset in a small area only is so,
important so maybe every single week where you just have a just a one hour reset on your maybe your
room and your bathroom just clean it all up and i kid you not it's going to make you feel like
restarted and just refueled for the week ahead and feel more organized another thing is having
one micro outing per week you don't need to be having a big outing every single week where you're
going to travel somewhere no you don't need to do that just going out and having a one little
weekly outing, maybe seeing a friend for lunch or meeting someone up, like meeting with someone
at a cafe or even going on a picnic with yourself, having a little outing.
Another thing also is having like a day of the week where you try one new recipe.
So that could be like Sunday.
You're trying one new recipe every single week where you look on Pinterest, you see or TikTok
and see maybe a recipe that you've been wanting to try that looks good, get the ingredients,
cook it, and you can see what do you like?
and who knows, you may discover your most favorite food for the summer.
If you're someone who's on their content journey,
something you could do is a real-life mini-clips, not aesthetic.
It doesn't even need to be aesthetic.
You may think, oh, my bathroom's so ugly, or my room's so ugly,
or I have nothing aesthetic?
No, you don't need an aesthetic life, aesthetic, anything,
in order to record and document your life.
All you need is your phone in yourself.
So maybe just do some real-life mini-clips of a day in your life
or how you spend your morning.
and someone, someone will find interest in it, I promise you.
Even if you get three likes on your video, imagine three people in your room.
Like, those are three people supporting you.
So don't think about the likes or think about the followers.
Just think about documenting and you will reach the right people.
Another thing is doing small daily moments series.
So maybe every single day you want to document like moments that you love.
And you can share that as like a piece of content.
And another thing you could do is just collecting,
clips instead of forcing a full-on content day.
So if you think content is too pressureful, but you still want to record things and document
your summer, just collect little clips throughout the day and put it together into a cute
little summer, like montage video.
And lastly, maybe you have a like content friend that you know, meet up with them or meet up
just with any of your friends and see if they want to take some content together.
When it comes to summer, just having that fresh start energy is what actually creates the
summer that you're wanting.
So having that physical reset first where you just declutter your closet, your room, your desk, your bathroom, your space.
And having that decluttering in your environment is going to make you feel like you have a fresh new canvas for the summer ahead.
And then just also having daily habits that you repeat automatically.
I promise you having little things in your day, those healthy habits are going to add up and make you feel excited.
And they'll just become permanent and ingrain your routine after a while.
and also then there's going to be identity shifts over time maybe the summer the person you start
off as this beginning of summer may be a completely different person you're going to end summer as
and that's amazing like whatever you want you can be the same person you can change and grow and
adapt and evolve it's always just about listening to what you want you may discover something
that you never knew about yourself this summer but you have to allow and take action to let it come into your life
And in order to have a good successful summer that makes you feel happy and complete, you have to take action into creating that for yourself.
You're your own advocate and no one's going to do it for you.
And some practical resets that you could do for summer.
It's just removing one to two daily stress triggers and unfollowing things that create comparison or pressure or if maybe you see so many people traveling and you're sad that you're not.
You know, if you don't want to see that, mute it on Instagram so you don't see it.
Or stop saying like body comparison things.
So if you're comparing your body.
and you're seeing someone else's body and you think, gosh, I wish I had that body.
Just hide the post or unfollow them.
Like, it doesn't matter.
Another thing is stop carrying old expectations into this season.
Start this summer with a brand new fresh start with no pressure, no expectations.
And all you're going to do is just create the summer that you want for yourself without any pressure.
It's all about building excitement without forcing it.
So just plan small, weekly things that you can actually look forward to.
keep your routine simple and repeatable and just notice small good moments so your brain starts
recognizing them instead of constantly searching and feeling the need that needs more and more and
more and start realizing that you know i'm complete i have everything i need in my life but i can do things
if i want to make my life better and put extra steps and extra effort into making my life even more
better and more evolved but look how amazing my life is just as it is think to yourself what has changed
in me that I haven't noticed yet. And I also want you think to yourself, what habits don't match
who I am anymore? Because those are something that you can think about going into this new season where
maybe you had old habits where you woke up super early that didn't work for you. So now you need to
sleep in more and get some more sleep. Another thing I want you to ask yourself, what would I enjoy
if I wasn't putting pressure into it and I wasn't trying to constantly improve myself? Because it's so
great to improve yourself and have those goals and intentions. But at the same time, there's things that we do,
just for the sake of trying to be productive and have progress,
but what would you do, even if it left you with no progress,
but something to give you enjoyment for?
Remember, summer isn't about reinvention, it's about refinement,
and you don't need a new life to feel different and to enjoy and have a new summer
that makes you feel revived and refreshed and motivated.
So I love you so much.
I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did recording it.
I'm just so excited for summer,

This is truly going to be our best summer yet. I'm just so excited. We're both going to have the
best summer. And remember, summer isn't going to make the routines and excitement and plans happen
for you. You have to be the advocate for yourself. And do not forget to stay busy yet pretty.
