Hello, my busy yet pretty girls. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty podcast. I'm your host,
Jaden Haley. I hope you all have been doing absolutely lovely these past few days and I hope this
episode is a nice little mood booster to your Monday or whatever day that you are tuning into this.
But I hope you all have been doing great. Let's get into today's weekly bullet points. This week, I went to brunch and Hill
Crest, if you don't know where Hillcrest is, it's in like the San Diego downtown area.
But I love Hillcrest.
It's the cutest little city.
They have so many different cafes and I just love going to brunch there.
But I went to brunch in Hillcrest and that was so fun.
Then later on I went and tried a charcoal latte.
Also known as the Vixen Latte is seriously so amazing.
I tried to add a little cafe in Hillcrest and I,
seriously was in love with it. I got mine with oat milk and then I sweetened it with agave and
seriously was just amazing. Also, in my week, I went to Ryan's hockey game, which I love watching
and play hockey. Makes me so happy. But then afterwards, we went go-karting. Guys, I went go-karting
for the first time. This dainty diordal went go-karting and, you know, I have never hit the road before.
so this was my first little test of driving, which I know go-karting is very different than driving,
but you know what? In my eyes, it's pretty similar. But I went go-karting with Ryan and it was so fun.
I definitely bumped into a lot of things, which has caused me to be pretty sore the next few days,
but it was so worth it and so fun. Another thing that I did was tried a new Oscei-Bolt place.
I went to Blue Bowl and it was amazing.
The location I went to was in Orange and I know they have multiple different locations.
They have so many different base options as well as toppings and it was seriously just perfection.
So I'm reading off my little Instagram caption that I took a photo of my bowl with but this is what I got in my bowl.
I got a Pataya base, a Huckleberry base, a coconut based, maki yogurt.
a blue chia seed base, and I got maple quinoa, hemp seeds, mulberry, honey granola, hemp granola,
almonds, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and peanut butter.
Let me just say perfection.
That's all it was, was perfection.
Next, I also went to Bristol Farms.
If you guys don't know what Bristol Farms is, it's a really nice, fancy grocery store.
Think like Airwant, but not as pretext.
They had so much produce and beautiful fruits and just everything was gorgeous in there.
They had a little bakery, a cafe, they had little food court inside Bristol Farms.
It is the most perfect grocery store to exist.
I love it so much and I'm seriously obsessed.
I'm not going to lie.
You all know how much I love Trader Joe's, but Trader Joe's has now become my side chick.
Bristol Farms is my main gal right now. I love Bristol Farms so, so much. In their bakery, they had these chocolate chip walnut cookies that were so amazing. Everyone always talks about them and let me just say it is for sure worth the hype. Ryan and I had to get multiple because we could not leave Bristol Farms empty handed. We had to grab their famous The Cookie and it was seriously delightful.
Moving on to my current obsessions.
My current obsessions are post-workout walks with my mom in the backyard.
I love post-workout walks.
I feel like it just finishes and completes a workout so nicely to just walk outside, let the sun hit on you.
I put tons of sunscreen on before I do my little walk outside because, you know, SPF is the move.
But I just loved a little outdoor walk after a workout.
in my cute little aloe set.
It just feels so nice to hear the birds chirping during spring
and then the weather is finally getting hotter and I just love it.
Another thing that I have been obsessed with is my new Bala weights.
They are these little cute weights.
I got them for only $24 at TjMax and they're originally $60 on other sites like Goop and Amazon.
So I was shocked that I found those because I have been wanting up but they are
so cute and they're such nice quality so I love them so much. I've also been obsessed with
Tumblr cups such as my Starbucks cup that I have oh my gosh I love Starbucks cups as well as
my simple modern cups I have them linked over my modem for you guys to shop they are my favorite
but I love Tumblr cups they keep me hydrated all day long something else I'm currently
obsessed with is trying new brunch spots
It's the best feeling when you find a new little spot to go to, whether that's brunch, lunch, dinner, whatever it is.
I just love finding new little spots, so definitely going and trying new brunch spots.
Specifically downtown is my favorite.
I feel like they have so many different variety and options of brunch spots, but I have been loving that so much.
Oh, speaking of the Tumblr cups and water, I have been loving and obsessed with ice water.
Not warm water. I have always been a room temperature water type of gal, but something's gone into me and I have been loving ice water.
Lastly, my other current obsession of the week is my boyfriend. He's always my current obsession. I just had to throw down in there.
Okay, next to the goal of the week. My goal of the week is to get back on my workout grind. I have not been on my workout zone.
very much lately because I have been not home, but I need to get back on it specifically for
my gut health, not necessarily my body or whatever it is. It's for my gut health because I realize
working out really does help my gut health a lot, whether that's walking or out workouts,
whatever it is. It feels super nice to get a good workout in and it really, really helps my gut
health. I hate the word gut. I think it's gross. I'm going to start saying stomach health.
Is that the same as a gut? I don't know. I'm just, it sounds ugly. The word is ugly. I'm going to
start saying cute tummy health. Is that better? I feel like it's not so gross. Like the word
gut, ew. That's like an ick word. Okay, moving on. Another goal of the week is to cook more
dinner. I love cooking dinner. It's so therapeutic and I also love how I can start memorizing recipes
that I can carry on to the future. So definitely cooking more at home would be a goal of this week.
My last goal is to get to bed earlier. I have been getting to bed around 11 to 12, which is okay,
but I just think I need a really good night's rest. So I would like to start getting to bed around 9 again and it feels
so nice to wake up fully awake and just have a good night's rest prior for my day and I just think
it's so necessary. So that's something I definitely would love to work on this week. A quote from my
five minute journal, it's not about how much we give, but how much love we put into giving. That is
so, so, so smart and I love it so much because it's so true. A good example is cards. I guarantee you
that if you were giving someone a gift and a card, they're going to love the card just as much
or more than the gift that you're giving them. Cards are so meaningful, putting love into it,
and I think that's a good example for today's quote. Okay, a self-love question to ask yourself,
what's a flaw I've learned to appreciate about myself over time? Pause this episode and journal that
question. I love that so much and really take time to realize what do you appreciate yourself,
now that used to be a flaw.
And surprise, another thing that I'm adding on to the weekly bullet point is starting to read off
Apple reviews.
I love reading your guys' reviews on the podcast.
It makes me the happiest ever.
And I just want to start sharing some reviews once in a while over the weekly bullet points.
So feel free to leave a review on the podcast over Apple Podcast to be featured.
I appreciate the reviews more than any.
but let's read one off. For the first review, I'm going to read off this week is from Diana.
Diana said, this podcast is one of my biggest inspirations ever. I learned many things throughout
this podcast such as self-care, hair care, and self-love. I love that so much. It makes me so happy.
Thank you, Diana, for the sweetest review. Before we get into this episode, I want to give a little
side note that I will be recording an episode very soon regarding my general experience that I had
with anorexia, which is an eating disorder, and my recovery. I am fully recovered and I feel like I have
so much to share and I encourage recovery so much and would love to share with you guys. But my
point of saying this is I am going to be answering lots of questions over that episode. So
I'm going to put quite a bit of story polls over my Instagram and story highlights for you guys to ask questions that I can answer and I want to collect as many as it can throughout time.
So feel free to DM any questions you have regarding eating disorders, recovery, etc.
Whatever you have, I would love to answer.
This is an episode that I really want to take time on and perfectly organize for you guys and not have it rush.
Being that I am very passionate about recovery, I really want to take time into organizing this episode really nicely to help one of you guys who are possibly struggling with an eating disorder.
Feel free to send over your questions or experiences or concerns and I am happy to answer my experience and views on it.
That was quite a long intro, but let's get into today's episode.
So today's episode is on the it girl mindset.
Before we get into talking about having the it girl mindset, I want to explain my view on
the it girl slash that girl quote ascetic.
The definition of it girl and like that girl to me, in my opinion, is being the best
version of yourself, whether the best version of yourself wakes up at 5 a.m. or 10 a.m.
Going to the gym or just getting a walk in, whatever it is, it could be fast food or food at home.
anything and everything is that girl what you do and what makes you happy is being your own
personal it girl and that girl at the end of the day the it girl and that girl to me means having
your own personal mindset that makes you happy and makes you live a happy healthy life so
whatever that entails that is perfect for you but this is my own personal mindset of being an it
girl. So let's get into today's episode. To have an it girl mindset is to be the best version of
yourself. So I want you guys to really think what makes you the best version of yourself. If you
aren't really sure of the best version of yourself or what makes you happy, this is some ideas that you
could do to incorporate into your mindset that may help you become the best version of yourself.
Having this mindset has changed my view on life and even day-to-day experiences and just how I
internally react to things. Let's get into my personal, the it girl mindset. One thing that is
one of the biggest factors of having a healthy mindset is don't care about people's opinions.
Regardless what you do, say, act, whatever you do, someone always will have something negative to say.
At the end of the day, you need to be thinking about you and what makes you happy rather than
caring about other people's opinions. I know a lot of people say this, but really try to
ingrain that in your head and not just let it pass you by because that is something that is a
big factor in having a healthy mindset. Everyone is going to have an opinion about what you do
and again saying the word opinion. It's their own opinion. Opinion is having your own personal
preference and thought about something. The word opinion doesn't mean correct. So think of the
word opinion when that comes to your head. Just as if you have an opinion,
about something, someone else has a different opinion. Your own personal opinion on what you
doing your life is the only opinion that matters because it's your life. Just how your opinion
shouldn't matter to someone else in their life. At the end of the day, it's you and honestly,
you aren't the main character in everyone else's stories. So don't feel like, oh my gosh,
this is embarrassing that I'm posting over YouTube. Like, oh my gosh, everyone at school is going to
like make fun of me.
Okay, first of all, if someone says something to you, again, it's their own opinion and it's not correct.
And the only person that has the right of say in your life is you.
And saying that you aren't the main character in everyone else's stories takes a load off of trying to impress or whatever it is because, honestly, you're a side character.
Everyone here in this world is their own main character.
So I promise you, you're not the center of attention.
do not worry. I promise you if it's making you happy, even if something feels embarrassing,
that's all that matters because no one cares that much and also it doesn't matter what people think.
Okay, next step, I feel like this is one of the most important things of having an it girl mindset.
I will touch more on this in the recovery episode.
I feel around this time era we have in this day and age, lots of people, especially girls around teens and young adults.
I feel like at one point in time it will come up and something that I've learned so much is to
feed your soul with the food that you need and not what you think you should need.
Again, I will talk more about this in the recovery episode, but I used to have this mindset that
I need to eat what I see other people eat, but that's not how it should be.
Whatever you're craving and wanting is what you should be eating.
Again, feed your soul with the food that you need and not with the food that you think.
think you should need. I think it's so important to nurture yourself and honor your cravings and
be kind to yourself because it's not making a difference and it really doesn't matter. And I always say
this, but when you're on your deathbed one day, you're going to regret not eating that big
chocolate chip cookie that was right in front of you. I promise life is too short and you need to
honor your cravings. Just like some days I may crave a salad or some days I may crave avocado
a toast. Some days they may crave a croissant and a muffin. Whatever it is, honor your cravings.
It's very easy to look and categorize food as good or bad. And I think that comes a lot from the
media because so many people post that that say, oh, this is zero calories or this is five calories,
whatever it is. It's so easy to look at good foods and bad foods. And honestly,
cut the labels, just don't even think about what is being good or bad. Just have a lot. Just have a
the mindset that you can eat anything you want in honoring your cravings is an it girl mindset
and is just so free. Okay, next step, getting what you want when you want it. Not in the materialistic
way or selfish way, but in the way of if you put your focus in mind to what you're wanting
and put effort and take action to earn it, then you are going to get what you want. Whether getting
what you want means manifesting, putting in physical action. No job, item, experience, or status is
unreachable. That's also something that's very important in having this mindset is that you can
have anything that you want and everything is realistic. Nothing is unreachable or out of the ordinary.
Everything is in your lane and you are able to achieve and get whatever you want if you put
your mind to it. Okay, next step is creating habits to prove to yourself that you can follow them.
I think that's something that's so important to prove to yourself when starting a new routine or whatever it is that habits you create can be followed.
A lot of people say thought over action, but action over doubt is how I look at it because let's say you want to get up at 6 a.m.
When you're tired in the morning and your alarm goes off at 6 a.m, your mind says, I want to lay in bed.
I'm not actually going to go do this and get up right now.
I can do this tomorrow.
And then the cycle starts that you never actually create the habit.
Instead, physically push yourself awake and then get up, get your clothes on, and that is how
you create a habit.
You have to just do it.
Action overthought happens a lot, and I think when in doubt, it's so important to think of
the action over thought method.
Another thing that I feel does really good in having an it girl mindset is yoga.
I really encourage yoga because I feel like it's so calming and it helps de-stress.
I just love to incorporate it into my morning routine before I start my work so it makes my mind feel relaxed and not stressed.
And I just think it's so nice to have like a little break of anything that's going on.
Okay, another thing is treating all my things nicely.
It doesn't matter how much the thing is or actually costs or what it's worth.
The point is I like to treat everything as if it's very valuable.
I feel like I've kept stuff in shape so much longer and just appreciated things more when I put value in my head to it.
Just like an example is wiping down my skincare bottles after I use it if there's any residue on it.
So definitely treating all my things as it has value.
Another thing that I'm so passionate about in having this it girl mindset is you can either have a month of progress,
or a month of excuses.
Sometimes I have the urge to procrastinate
or just not do what I want to get done.
And of course, everyone just wants the end goal
and no one wants to actually put the work into doing it.
Very normal for that to happen.
But of course, to get what you want,
you have to put work into it.
One month from now,
I'm going to have an entire month of work done and completed
and closer to my goal.
Or I can take the route of just putting it off
and that month goes by and I'm still back to the same spot A.
Of course, I'm not saying to work when you need a break
because definitely breaks are necessary
and I believe the 80-20 rule.
But I'm saying in general sense,
if you have a goal and you want to accomplish it,
start taking action into creating and accomplishing that goal.
Okay, another thing is to be the highlight and happiness to someone's day.
Just being kind and generous to others is so easy. There's no reason to be rude or to be bland
to innocent people. Just be the highlight to someone else. And not only are you making someone else
feel good, but it makes yourself feel good to be nice to others. I'm sure you all know how it
feels when you've been having an awful day and then all of a sudden someone says something
really nice to you or something and you can hold on to that little bit of like positivity on your
bad day. I just like to be nice and share my happiness with others because there's no reason to be
rude and the world should be a happy, nice, friendly place. So why not make others feel good about
themselves too? Okay, next step is to get back to others. Whether that means donating, you could donate
some clothes that you don't wear anymore, to shelters.
If you have some extra cash on you, you can donate to the homeless or to charities,
even helping someone out with the task or treating someone to lunch.
Just giving back to others is a really nice way to show your appreciation for what you have
in your life and to help someone else out.
Doing good things for others will attract good to come back to you,
but don't give back just to have the mindset of getting things in return.
Be nice and give back to others for the sole purpose of generosity and kindness to others.
This one is one that takes lots of time and confidence, but believe you are the star in the room.
Not in an egotistical way where I'm saying, you're the hottest there and you're better than everyone else.
That's not what I'm saying.
and this has nothing to do with appearance-wise or anything.
To behold that self-confidence that you have and be your own idol.
It will allow you to feel more confident and have more confidence in situations.
Honestly, just let you have a more fun and relaxing time when you believe you're the star in the room.
Let's say you're trying to get a job and there's other people there also trying to get the job and you think they're better than you.
You are just as good as the other people in the room and honestly even better in your own different qualities.
Okay, next is embracing the feeling of being clean.
I have been doing this for quite a time now, but I just love the feeling naturally of taking a shower, skin care, fresh sheets, fresh laundry.
Whatever it is, just the feeling of feeling fresh is unmatched.
So I really recommend appreciating the time that you take for your shower or your skincare or just feeling clean because it makes you feel so nice and put together.
And I feel like it just really sets the tone of feeling fresh and very organized.
That is another way that I incorporate it into my A Girl mindset.
Next step is romanticizing your life.
It's so cliche I know everyone says to be saying romanticize your life, but honestly, one of the best things that I've done this past few years because I've really just enjoyed life so, so much more.
And it's honestly such a mood booster in any type of way that you are down about your life.
Like, look at this situation and make it a positive.
It's become a habit for me to do this now.
but an example is I will put my water in a wine glass so it just spices up my day a little bit.
I'll wear cowboy boots and a pink wig in public and it's so funny to me because people will watch
and stare and point romanticize your life and I just really, really find that useful.
Another thing that I find really important in having an eight-girl mindset is to realize that situations
that feel so embarrassing to you aren't actually as bad as it feels.
Whatever you find embarrassing at that moment or that has happened in the past,
you will either laugh at it in a year or completely forget about it.
My boyfriend and I think a lot alike in this aspect.
Not much shame we have, but he will literally get on his hands and knees
to take my pictures for Instagram as I pose in a very, very extra outfit in like five-inch heels
in front of hundreds of people.
Like, I have no shame because, one, I have the pictures at the end of the day,
and I will never see these people again.
And he also knows that I need him to be my photographer.
So my mom does the same too.
She always will do anything to get a good photo for me for my Instagram,
but she still gets embarrassed.
But I still make her take my photos anyways.
So sorry, Mom, about that.
just having the mindset that stuff is not that embarrassing.
If you trip and fall in public, okay, you get back up.
Literally nobody else is thinking about it that day except for yourself.
It's not a big deal.
Let it go.
Okay, next is scouting things that can make you happy.
I love finding like room decor or self-help books, journals, supplies, clothing.
So anything that fits my personal style, I just love.
And I know a lot of people say, don't waste money on things that you don't need or whatever,
but if it's going to make you happy at the end of the day or bring you a slight bit of happiness,
then buy it. It doesn't matter. It's your money and it's not a waste of money if it's going to
bring you happiness. Be smart with your money, but also purchase whatever that you think is going
to make you happy at the end of the day. Okay, next is focus on the life that you want to live
while appreciating the one that you're currently living. So that's a nice.
something that's so, so important because I know a lot of people try to aim really far for a goal
or the life they want to live, but now you are forgetting about all the time you're currently
living. So if you have a goal, take a step by step to achieve it and break down the goal into steps.
But also be appreciative about your current present state you are in right now because
you're never going to have this time back. So shift your mindset and take your mindset and take you.
already knowing that you will have everything that you're dreaming of and everything that you
want to achieve in life. That wraps up my personal The It Girl mindset. And honestly, I hope you guys
got some ideas on how you can feel a little better and shift your mindset. And honestly,
everyone's mindset is different. It doesn't matter what it is. Those are just some ideas in how
I personally think. But being an it girl or that girl looks different on
everybody. Having your own happy mindset is your own personal it girl mindset. So don't feel like
you have to be a certain way, dress a certain way, eat a certain way, look a certain way,
have a certain life to be that girl or an it girl. I hope you guys enjoy this episode. I am
beyond appreciative of you guys. Seeing you guys make TikToks of you listening to the podcast make
me so unbelievably happy. I am always reposting it over both my main Instagram and my busy

as well as leaving a rating over Spotify. I also love when you guys post on Instagram tagging me
that you're listening to the podcast. It makes me so happy.
and I always reposted over my story.
Be your own dream girl and your own it girl.
I love you dolls so much and I'll see you next time.
Bye, sexies.
